C
Now, Don, you may see I brought a special guest here.
B
Yes, you have.
C
Do you know who this is. I do not introduce yourself.
D
Don, It's Rochelle from Queens.
C
Really?
B
You don't know who I am now? I do.
D
You know what? First of all, your, your headphones are not Afro friendly.
B
I'm sorry.
C
And most headsets are not. That's right. It's not right.
D
Okay. Discrimination.
B
They're more friendly to Peter having.
C
Yeah, yeah. They're meant for the bald.
D
So we need to go into Guinness Book of World Records because it. We're the couple who's been together the longest. You and Don before they met. Wow.
C
So when you tell us how long,
D
we're talking probably about 15 years. Wow. About 15.
B
So why, why, why, why did you
C
decide that you love Don Lagreca?
D
So, okay, so honestly, there's only been, like, two men in my life I've ever actually been attracted to.
B
Okay.
D
My husband's one and a half of those.
B
Okay. Oh, wow. Good for him.
C
Good for him.
D
Okay. And he's here with me.
B
I'd like to meet him.
C
Yeah.
D
Okay. But we, our whole family has imaginary crushes.
B
Okay?
C
That's a thing in the family.
D
So my husband is Tina Fey.
B
Interesting.
C
You guys.
B
Wait. That is very random, isn't it?
C
I, I, She's a little.
B
I mean, she's very attractive, very talented.
D
Smoke show.
C
Yes.
B
Who?
C
Your husband or Tina Fey? Oh, Tina Fey. Smoke Show. All right.
D
And your. Mine has always been Robert De Niro and DMX until I saw Don.
C
Wait, wait. Did he replace De Niro or X?
B
That's the.
D
He can't. I'm sorry. He can't replace De Niro.
C
No. De Niro's an un. You have a type, though, right? It seems Italian men. There's something there.
D
Thugs. There's two things done. It's. He gives like Michael McDonald with Tabasco sauce.
C
That's right. The spice there. I see what you're saying.
B
Okay.
D
And then there's a thing about.
C
There you go.
D
A gray beard and a man who looks like they pointed people and they disappear.
B
Oh, really? Like a mystic. Like a, Like I'm almost like a wizard type of guy.
D
Oh, not that.
B
That.
C
Oh, no, no, no.
B
I'll make them disappear in the sense of. That's right. Go. Bye.
A
Bye.
D
Like, they should have known better.
C
They should have known better. Don, are you texting Nancy right now to make sure.
B
But have your husband put the sunglasses back on again because you're uncomfortable. No, no. He gives a. Doesn't he give a Michael P. Jordan kind of look?
D
Wow.
B
Right? Seriously.
A
Time.
B
See?
D
Oh. All of our son's Friends.
A
But.
B
But not when he took the glasses off and went away. But like right there. Don't you. Because I saw him walking around earlier in the show and I'm like, whoa,
D
he gets Wyclef John.
C
Listen, I just want to say. I just want.
B
Very good.
C
I just want to say the following. Respectfully. I get the name drop button. Ready? I've had the pleasure of knowing Michael B. Jordan for some time.
A
Drop.
C
Your husband looks like Michael B. Jordan.
E
Really?
C
If things had gone a little wrong.
E
You know what I mean?
D
Like, he just fell off a little bit.
C
Like he didn't. Like he didn't end up getting on Friday Night Lights and it just didn't work.
D
Where are they now? On mtv.
C
Then. Then we have. But he's had too much money for too long. Michael B. Jordan looks like a perfect human. So I want to know more. So. So dmx. DMX gives you a vibe.
D
Yes.
C
De Niro gives you a vibe.
D
But it's the same vibe.
C
It's the same. And Don legreca occupies that same.
B
That is amazing.
C
How do you feel?
B
I feel very good. You feel confident? I feel like a man. I guess she likes dangerous, but you know me, I'm not that dangerous.
C
Not dangerous, but I give off dange.
D
Excuse me. When I told my brother here who's been a fan since. What is it? Fan radio. Sports.
E
Sports phone.
B
Wow. Yeah. You're not that old, man.
D
Yeah, we are. We are.
C
Sportsphone.
D
Black don't crack.
C
That's the thing. And Rochelle, you were saying that you are your career.
D
You were a. I was a stylist in the music industry.
C
A stylist.
D
Yeah. Early 2000s. Wow. Yeah.
C
You're definitely more. You definitely have a more. How do I say this respectfully? To our fan base, you do give a little more stylish than the average fan who shows up at the.
B
Oh, without question.
D
Most random you will ever meet. I need an app.
B
There's nothing random about you. Yep.
D
I'm a marvel Nerd.
B
Wow.
D
I love 80s and 90s hip hop.
B
Wow.
D
We would have been friends in high school.
B
Yes.
D
Yeah. We would have been like hip hop head.
B
Wow.
D
Then I love the black bow tie music. Frank Sinatra. He gives that too.
C
Yeah, yeah.
D
You give that too.
B
Michael McDonald, Frank Sinatra.
D
All of that.
C
All of that. How did you first. So was it because your brother was a fan of the. I'm guessing the Michael K show and things like that that you got familiar with Don?
D
No. So he's. We grew up together, so that's my brother. But not my brother.
C
Got it, got it, got it.
D
My husband is the reason.
C
Is the. Who got you on board?
D
Okay. And the running joke and how much he loves you guys. And he used to listen with his great grandmother. He has. Wow. Legacy and history with you guys. So I'm a behind the camera person.
B
Right.
D
And I'm here.
B
Oh, you're on the camera now.
D
I'm here because of him. So really wanted to meet you.
C
And so how long did it take of you being introduced to the stylings of Don before you thought, I love this Immediately. Yeah.
B
Look, Peter's looked. No, he can't see. I know. Peter's been looking at me for 11 years, and he hasn't seen it yet,
A
but that's all right.
C
And so the first time you saw him, you went, who is this guy? This Don?
D
Exactly what I said. And now that's exactly. My husband would be like, your boyfriend's on the radio. Like, he would come tell me.
C
And so does it work from an, like, audio standpoint or, like, do you need to, like, watch on YouTube to get the whole, like, Don experience?
D
It's like, you know how you can't just hear Janet Jackson on the radio?
B
That's right.
D
Be watch a music video?
C
Sure, sure.
D
The Cab Calloway one with the same on the radio. It's a combo.
B
Wow.
D
I have to see and hear.
B
Sorry.
C
The Cab Cali one's all right. I apologize. Wow. This has been.
B
I. I had no idea.
D
I said it wrong.
C
No, I did.
D
Oh.
B
I went escapade.
C
And it's all right. Not escapade. For the Cab Calloway vibe in the video.
D
He's an experience. He's an experience.
C
I get it. He's experienced.
D
He's Janet Jackson in the 80s.
B
Names that are being thrown out here. I'm like, Janet Jackson in the 80s. Frank Sinatra.
C
Rochelle, listen, we're gonna. I'm gonna wrap this up because I don't know if Don can handle this anymore. There's so much.
B
She deserves. A hug. Oh, hold on.
C
But we need the hug.
D
A picture.
B
A hug and a picture.
C
Take your headphones off and come around here. I want to see you guys get together. I want to see the hug. I want to see the photo. The people want to see this moment. This is what. It's not often that a person gets to. It might be too close to the camera. You guys able to get that? Oh, the hug has happened. The embrace has happened. Oh, look, the love. Look at this moment. This is just a beautiful thing to see on a Friday. Rochelle, thank you to your husband, to your friend, everyone who's here. It's wonderful. We'll get Don's thoughts on all this
B
and much more as we close out
C

What's up? Nick?
C
Nick. Nick.
B
All right, we'll try and make another time. He was here. He was entertaining us during commercial breaks and now he's on our phone. Richard in Manhattan. You're on ESPN New York. What's up, Richard?
C
Hey, Richard.
B
Richard, I think there's something.
C
There he is.
E
Can you hear me? Can you hear me, guys?
C
Yes, Richard.
E
But, Peter, I met your cousin and his son. Oh, they were great. It was nice talking to them from Long Island. Very nice.
C
What was this? My cousin was here with his son. Remember I said my cousins was telling me how great the drinks are at the outside?
B
Okay.
A
He was.
B
Literally, he. Oh, all right.
E
Yeah, Peter, I told him what I thought of you. I told him how great and wonderful
B
how
E
you can handle anything. Sports, politics, music, wrestling, ufc, whatever. Anyway, Don, I got a question for you. The Avalanche have the Triple Crown Right now they have the most points, they've scored the most goals and they've given up the least amount of goals. Do you ever remember a team like this having the Triple crown and not winning the Stanley Cup?
C
I'd have to.
B
See the team that broke the record for points was. What was that? The, the 96 Red Wings. And they got beat in the, they got beat in the conference final by Colorado. I'd have to check and see. The thing is, I just had somebody here ask me, you know, who's going to win the Stanley Cup. I mean, right now it looks like it's the Avalanche, maybe Tampa. But you see all kinds of upsets. So I would not be surprised if it did happen, Richard. But I don't know the answer right away.
E
All right, NBA, we got to talk. This guy, Shane Gilgis, he's the mvp. You don't tell me about anybody else, Jokic or Cunningham. This guy never ever. I follow all the box scores every day. Never ever, ever has a bad game, ever. This guy is the mvp. He is consistent like nobody, every game he comes to play. And what a game last night, the Celtics and okc. There was never a lead bigger than five points. It went back and forth. Tatum didn't play, but Hartenstein didn't play for okc. But what a game, fellas. Man, back and forth, it was wonderful. Now the Lakers, if the Lakers play like they did last night, wow. Their starting five had 135 points. That's got to be the most this year. Starting 5, 135 points. 137. Their subs only scored 5 points. 5, 137. The fact that this Celtic team doesn't have a better, I mean this Laker team doesn't have a better record than it does is really a shame. And fellas, I'm just going to leave. Well, I got two more quickies. Zion Williamson never shoots a three.
A
Ever.
E
Never ever. This guy could have played 50 years ago. He could have played with Chamberlain and Russ. He could have played with Reed and Clyde. This guy could have played in any era. Zion Williamson. The fact is nobody likes him. That's why you don't hear more about him. And lastly, I'll leave you with this. Has there ever been a ball player, Al Horford. This guy was the fourth wheel on that Florida back to back championship team. They had Corey Brewer, pro. They had Joaquim Noah pro. They had David Lee. Probably while those guys have been out of the NBA for 10 years, this guy was the fourth world and he is still going strong. How do you explain that? It's an unbelievable medical.
C
No, he's been faded out, folks. But it is. It is true what he points out from that. Those Florida teams, that he ended up being the guy that lasted forever. He forgot someone, too, didn't he? Forget my other. The other guy on that team. But that is. It is an interesting point. Richard was shot out of a cannon today.
B
Yeah. And he. A lot of those points he was making with us live here, it just. It's great to see him. It's great to see everybody.
C
You love seeing Richard, don't you?
B
Now listen, Richard's a gem.
C
You were nervous about putting him live on the air, though.
B
Well, I just. I don't want to create a monster. I mean, this is kind of what we do. We had a lot of guests. It was a lot of fun. And maybe next year you're against it.
C
No, no. I think you made the right call. He seemed like maybe, maybe last year was so much that. Like he was almost too riled up today. I think in person might have exploded.
B
It's good to see. I just. I hope I'm as passionate about sports when I get that much older. And he's not jaded. He still loves it. Still carrying all the newspapers. I mean, he's as old school as
C
you can get and he's as passionate about as you can get.

All right, Nick and Wanta is back. You're on espn, New York. What's up, buddy?
E
Thanks for taking my calls, guys. I want to talk. I want to talk about how the biggest loser in free agency so far for the NFL is the Dallas Cowboys. I'm a huge Cowboys fan. I think they made some pretty good moves. But they're the biggest loser because they didn't get the George Pickens deal done. Once Alex Pierce signed that deal, George Pickens stock just skyrocketed through the roof. I want to know what you guys think of that and what you think he's going to get.
B
Well, if he continues to progress the way he's going. I mean, I don't know the cap situation with the Cowboys. I know sometimes Jerry Jones can be very stubborn in negotiations and all that, but listen, wide receiver guy that can make the plays that he can make. I know Peter, he can be a bit much. But that's never stopped the Cowboys from signing guys like that before. Yeah, but not knowing the inner workings of their salary cap, it's really difficult to say. But he is one heck of a player, that's for sure. What don't I have? I pushed the wrong button. I'll be honest with you.
C
What happened?
B
I don't know. He just said. I was talking to Dan.
C
Oh. Oh, you're not talking.
B
It's really. I was. I was just gonna say this show was close to perfect and then it was just ruined. No, we were. There's mere moments before it was over.
C
We were 3 hours and 52 minutes into a show that really almost had been technically perfect.
B
Perfect?
C
Don met a woman who's just absolutely
B
in love with him. I thought you handled it pretty well. Do you think that was serious? You think that's just like a troll?
C
What do you mean?
B
That just. It's a goof.
C
No, no, I think. I think it's a legitimate crush. I Think. I think they're. I think they have a unique relationship.
B
They do have a very unique religion in which they can have fun with their. With their hall passes or Don Lagreca. And who is it from Saturday night? Tina Fey. It's. It's odd.
C
Well, she didn't say hall pass, though.
B
No, but for lack of a better word, it's not a hall. But no. What did she say?
C
Is that their imaginary crush?
B
Right. Imaginary crush.
C
But you're not that imaginary because you were.
B
And last I checked, Tina Fey was also real.
C
All also real people.
B
But I guess I. I guess not
C
all people know this. Tina Fey is doing a remote just further down the way.
B
Oh, listen. That's why they had to run. That's right.
C
She's outside of the Jacobs Pickles meeting people right now.
B
Bob, listen, she's been calling, what, 15 years? And she's always had nice things to
C
say about how far back do you remember this? I mean, probably.
B
I didn't really think it was that far back, but now thinking about it, yeah, it's been.
A
The first drop was in January of 2025.
B
Let's.
C
That's the first drop.
B
Okay, but let's hear the drop.
C
What's the drop you got over there?
D
I have had a relationship with you, Don, in my head since the first time I laid eyes on you.
C
Now, I want to ask you guys something. In January, 2025, was I there or was I gone with the baby? What's the date in January? Well, that's when the baby came.
B
Oh, that's a good point. I don't remember you being there.
C
My guess is it was in the
B
second, but that was 95. You brought her on. Because I wasn't sure what was going on.
C
What was the date there, Anthony?
A
That'd be the 21st.
C
I was not here. Baby came January. Yeah. So, yeah, that.
B
That moment.
C
And, you know, I gotta tell you something, if you want to know about, like, you know, who doesn't respect you? John Winthrop. No less an authority than John Winthrop. He would when I told him what I was planning, because they came up and said hello to me, and I said, all right, well, let's put her on right now. Let's surprise Don. He was worried about you, how you would deal with it. In fact, he had me. I was gonna have her go around and sit next to you. He had me scoot in and had her sit on the outside. Almost like he thought you would, like, spontaneously combust if you were close to a woman when she gave you a compliment.
B
Oh, that's.
C
It's troubling, but that's what he thought.
B
I know.
C
I wasn't worried about you.
B
I was sitting there going, and this for the people that aren't watching on YouTube, but just to give you a visualization of what I saw.
C
Yeah.
B
As I was, like, coming out of break or I didn't know what was going on. I was doing the read.
C
Are you doing the read?
B
I was doing the read and I'm like, why is Lenny Kravitz, drummer, sitting next to Peter Rosenberg?
C
Is that what you legitimately thought?
B
Have you ever seen. Yes, because I saw the big Afro and I saw something. I'm like, who is this? You wouldn't just put anybody on the air.
C
No, you're damn right I wouldn't.
B
And, wow, that was good. See, you know, good. You sense good radio. You hunt for it.
C
It's. It's not.
B
You crave it.
C
It's. It's. I crave it, and it's in my DNA.
B
It is.
C
And so I was like, wait, you're saying the last year when we had extra time, we got richer.
B
Yeah. This is this year much more flattering to me. All right, Don. On a Rosenberg's Big east live broadcast from the Irish exit in Moynihan Train hall, brought to you by Sam Adams Sun Cruiser, of course. Vodka, iced tea, and Schweppes. Schweppes delivers above the rim. Refreshment. Feel the madness and refresh your game with a Schweppes seltzer or a Schweppes ginger ale. Lots of people to thank. This was a heck of a show. So much fun. Maria Moreno was nice enough to swing by and talk to us about women's sports in the wnba. Also, what a great job by Walter Berry with one of the great stories of the ages. Definitely go back and listen to the podcast on that one. Charles Smith, of course, everybody involved in this broadcast. To put this together is always so very difficult. But of course, thanks to Moynihan hall and the Irish exit. Enjoy your weekend. Big East World Baseball Classic. Hockey, basketball, it's all on the table. Pete and my friend, we'll talk to you again coming up at 3 o' clock on Monday on ESPN New York.
A
Thanks for listening to the Don Hahn and Rosenberg podcast.
C
I don't want to know how the

B
I just want to know.
