A small portable radio receiver that uses transistor based circuitry is what a transistor radio is. Previous portable radios used vacuum tubes which were bulky, fragile and had limited life.

It kind of did. So it's really. Any small radio is a transistor radio using a transistor. But that's any of the small ones. It sounds like. So it sounds like even a little.

I would think anything small would have a transistor in it because it couldn't have the other thing. They were just the larger or old technology vacuum tube Thing that I never

I gotta be honest, I, looking at the map as I am right now, I'm embarrassed that it's. I did not realize how Morocco was. Literally, like you could, you could swim to Spain.

But, but yeah, I knew they were quite close. I didn't know I wanted to make sure they were literally that close.

I thought Morocco was a little further.

Well. Cause you think it's Africa and Europe and you're thinking must be some distance there, but there's not really much there.

Again, once again, the plates did not tectonic on that one. They stayed close together.

You know, what a first full circle moment. Three and a half hours. The first time we talked about tectonic plates, we're back talking tectonic plates.

Well, because Dave called in. Dave in the car called in and he was kind of, he was shooting down the notion that the Giants. There's a lot of optimism with the Giants. And I was it yesterday that I pointed out that there was a lot of money. What I said 94 was. It was BET MGM. Right. That the 94% of the money was going on the Giants over. And people really putting tons and tons of belief in the Giants hitting the over of seven and a half, which again is not a ridiculous number. Eight wins, you know, is not going to make you. Well, you could be in playoff contention. But still, eight wins is not what it used to be when they, when you have a 17 game season and I'm telling you, like the, the, the, the John Harbaugh bump when you hire him creates this belief that you're bringing in an adult in the room who's got a resume and you feel like, oh, he's going to turn this thing around. And I'm just telling you that you did the win, loss, win loss thing and you had A lot of optimism in your win, loss, win, loss. Anthony, I'm a realist man. And while I do feel like Harbaugh is going to help them not give away games, I still think there's two major question marks that need to be answered this season for the, for you to believe in the Giants. Actually, it could be three. The first one's obvious. You know it. Peter, what's the very first question about whether or not the Giants are going to be any good?

The quarterback.

[Alan Hahn]

Well, it's Malik neighbors, availability of your, of your most important weapon to your young quarterback.

[Peter Rosenberg]

Sure, if you view it like that.

[Alan Hahn]

Yes, I view it like that because I think he's their best skilled offensive talent. Don't you think?

[Peter Rosenberg]

Sure. We already know we're talking best case like week six.

[Alan Hahn]

Yeah, yeah, probably. And this is also, we might also be talking about a high draft pick that we might never know what his potential was because getting a clean out at this young of an age with a knee is a major concern. So it starts with neighbors and whether or not your most skilled offensive talent will be on the field at some point this season with your quarterback to help him really reach his potential. Then after that, of course, it's let's, let's go with what you said. You're probably not going to have him for most of the season. You know, they're not sure when they're going to have him. Then it's Jackson dart and not is he good enough? Because I think talent wise we see it and boy, there's a lot of talk about them like Matt Nagy, basically, like he's going to be, he's going to be our Lamar Jackson. We're going to let him run. He wants to run, let him run, let him be comfortable, play the way he wants to play. And that's great to a point. Getting hurt is something everybody's worried about with him. But I keep worrying about him handling being in New York as the star quarterback that everybody wants to be great. But we're trying to advance the cause with him too soon. And I worry about how he handles criticism questions. We saw him last year, he bristled a lot when it came to, hey, should you have run there? You know, your team is worried about you getting hurt. Shouldn't you slide more? And he's pushing back, saying, this is the type of player I am. I got to play the way I play. So his dynamic handling the podium, the, the role of being the face of the franchise, whether anybody likes it or not, that's what the quarterback usually is. I want to see how he handles this. Or does he start to really crumble with all this stuff and does it affect him negatively? And are the Giants now in the business of finding a new quarterback after a year? I don't know, but you've said it. Everybody got excited about Jackson Dart thinking this is they found their guy and I'm with you. Maybe they did, maybe they did, but we don't know yet. There's not enough evidence yet. Now, it could happen this year and that'd be great, but let's just let it play out. So that's a huge question. And then after that, I'm sorry. Do me a favor, Peter. Name me one guy in the Giant secondary that you're like, I know that guy and he's good. Cornerback, safety.

I think when healthy he's good. But again, like, look, I'm the one. I have more optimism for Jackson Dart than I do than I did Daniel Jones after his first year. So I just think overall he's a better quarterback and that might not pan out like Alan said. But I've gone too many years looking at disappointment with this team now where, as Peter, you've pointed out eloquently multiple times, we think that they have the quarterback, they have a head coach that anybody would have been lucky to have wanted to get if they needed one in this offseason, whether it pans out or not. So if I can't get optimistic this year, even if the team is not as complete as you'd like it to be, issues in the secondary Neighbors isn't healthy. You've added other offensive pieces to hopefully help and make sure that it's not just a guy like Wando Robinson who's not there anymore. That Jackson Dart has the ability to throw to. Isaiah likely is there. Yes, you've got some old receivers in Smith Schuster, but you've also added Mooney, you added Austin iii, both guys that were contributors to football teams last year. I'm not going to sit here and say it's going to be terrible. 02, it's over, the season's done. If Peter, that could pan out the way you want. A 7 and 10 is probably last in this division. Can we all agree on that?

[Alan Hahn]

Oh yeah. 7.

[Peter Rosenberg]

I would think so. But again, I don't think anybody knows what the commanders are.

[Anthony]

That's fine. So 7 and 10 could be the worst in the division.

[Peter Rosenberg]

I think Philly could take a big step back, too.

[Anthony]

We don't if everything panned out almost the exact way you said, Peter, with the way that the games pan out, I think I'd be happy as a Giant fan going into next year if Dart's healthy Neighbors comes back. They win a couple of these games late in the year where it's harder, but it looks like they're finally putting something together and you have another offseason to put the pieces together. I think you could feel good, but we have to see. But I'm going to go in with a little more optimism than I usually do.

I like that. And everything you said there, Anthony, is exactly right. Feel that way. And I just keep going to the other side of the ball. And I keep saying, boy, up front, they look tough. But in the back end, they still a lot of question marks. A lot of question marks. And look, they, they, Colton Hood, they drafted another corner to see if they can find one that hits. But right now, I mean, Newsom, free agent Adibo comes back like this is what you're dealing with right now. And then two safeties that you're just hoping stay healthy. Not a lot of depth there. And in today's NFL, as we've learned, if you, if you are not good in secondary, you're going to get toasted.

But he's also a Giants fan. And, and he heard that last segment and his response to me was, giants gonna be run first. You know, the whole three yards in a cloud of dust thing. Yeah, and I know Dart has said that too. That, that's what, that's what it sounds to him like this year we're going to be a run team. And you know, that's Harbaugh. Harbaugh wants to win at the line of scrimmage. That's his whole thing, power football. Like that's what he talks about.

He loves it.

So they have decent running backs and you know, Scatter Boo is going to be bad. I still, it's amazing to me that Scatter Boo returns from dislocating his ankle, which is wild. But Singletary, Tyrone, Tracy, they've got guys that can run, but then they also have a quarterback that can run. It does say a lot, right, that all this consternation about dart and worrying about him running to protect him and the first thing that Harbaugh wants to do is say, kid, we want you to run. I told you. Their belief there is, you know, naggy. They're like, we want him to be like what Lamar Jackson was. Use your legs. The offensive line always does prefer to run block than it is to pass block. It's a lot. Not a lot, but it's fundamentally easier and you want to just dominate the line of scrimmage. So the, the durability thing is definitely something to keep an eye on, but I know the kid at his size and all that stuff, like it's going to make this season so interesting from the offensive side and dominant and running the ball more does also give you possession, which keeps your defense with its, you know, not really great secondary off the field. But it's still asking a lot if you can't really run it and you have to throw it and you don't have enough guys that can be dynamic enough for you to throw it.

So Tom Brady and Logan Paul had a thing at Fanatics Fest. They've had a thing before. I think we've talked about.

They've been doing like a little back and forth thing. But how bad was Tom Brady's slap? He got all shoulder.

[Alan Hahn]

Well, how about the fact that he didn't catch his face? How about. How about though, did you see him when he takes his hand out of his pocket? He's preparing. And you know, if that was a real thing, I would think that Paul would be ready for it, don't you?

[Peter Rosenberg]

I would think so.

[Alan Hahn]

Takes his hand out of his pocket while you're having a nose to nose. If you're, if you don't have your guard up, that's on you.

[Peter Rosenberg]

I just am amazed at an attempt to go for a slap, you know, because it seems pretty clear what's about to happen because there's yelling each other's faces and cats watching and someone else is watching and Tom Brady winds up for the slap and just hits all shoulder. For a guy who could throw the ball so amazingly well. Cannot throw a slap. God, I don't know. I just don't know if I need Tom Brady in my wrestling world. I just don't know if I can.

That's what's happening. Guess what? Guess what, sweetheart. There's nothing you could do about it. He's coming, you know. It's. He wants so be. He's worked hard to get himself into great shape not to play football again. Are you to be involved in this?
