Are all batteries the same? That's like asking if all soccer players are the same. Take Messi, the most decorated player ever. Is there any other player who has achieved that? No, just him. Now take Duracell. Is there any other battery with powerboost ingredients inside? No, just Duracell. Remember, goats only trust goats because they're built different. And Messi only trusts Duracell.
Don Hahn

Head down to the Jersey Shore, join the Michael K Show and and us DHR Don Hahn and Rosenberg Live starting at 1pm you get an appearance by D. Pietro Rothenberg, Bart Carlin and more. Are you going to be in attendance?
Jake Asmut
I think I'm in the I'm considered in the more category.
Rosenberg
But you'll be there.
Jake Asmut
It's going to be tricky. I'm going to try. That's a far trek. If ESPN New York wants to provide some transportation, start now, then I'll be there. Start walking.
Rosenberg
Start walking now.
Jake Asmut
I like those people that are walking From Manhattan to MetLife for the world cup because they don't want to pay $100,000,000 for the New Jersey Transit.
Rosenberg
Crazy. We'll have plenty of giveaw ways for fans in attendance, a soccer watch party and the chance to test your skills by trying to kick a soccer goal past Rook D. Pietro. Plus music from Surfing for Daisy, who will be playing an hour before and after the shows is all brought to you by Spiked Aid, Boost Mobile, Miller lite, Fanatics Fest NYC and New Jersey Lottery. You must be at least 21 years of age to enter. 800-919-3776. Yo, purple blue belt Mike's getting Nick's cookies from neighbors. Like what's going on here, my man?
Caller/Guest
Yeah man. So the my neighbor knows I'm a huge Knicks fan. I'm walking my dog the other day.
Ty Butler
Oh wait, it was yesterday.
Caller/Guest
I was walking my dog yesterday with my Nick's flag around my neck, walking my dog like a cape. And now they stopped the car. Like hell yeah.
Javier
Let's go.
Caller/Guest
Next. Let's go. And today as I'm on the phone with waiting to get on with you guys, she pulls up to the the front door and gives my wife these Nick's cookies. It was awesome. Let's go.
Rosenberg
Yo, be careful, man. Be careful. I heard they put THC in 70s cookies. So just watch out. Watch out for that, man.
Caller/Guest
Not my neighbors, man.
Jeray
We're good.
Don Hahn
We're good.
Caller/Guest
So anyway, I got. I got a couple things for you. The first thing is, like with Becky Hammond, if she just said, hey, you know what? I was wrong. Jalen Brunson's A1A and a superstar and a championship level player, no one would give her anything. It'd be over. But how she kept doubling down at first. Oh, he's not good enough to be a 1A. He's not good enough to win the conference. Now he's not good enough to win the finals. He proved her wrong each time. He just has to admit it and move on. And then everyone else.
Rosenberg
But I'm just saying that that's different from having to apologize. You could just say, I was dead wrong.
Ty Butler
Shout out to him, yeah, yeah, that's it.
Caller/Guest
If he says he's wrong, everyone will move on. And then with Carmelo Anthony.
Ty Butler
So I don't think he's saying I'm a Knicks.
Caller/Guest
I mean, I'm a Yankee fan and a Mets fan.
Ty Butler
He's been preaching the Knicks unify the city.
Caller/Guest
So I think he's wearing that. Then you could be a Mets fan
Ty Butler
and you could be a Yankee fan.
Caller/Guest
It don't matter because we're all Knicks fans.
Jake Asmut
Just wear a knit cap.
Caller/Guest
Then Melody, just wear a Knick hat.
Rosenberg
I don't know. Go ahead, Jake.
Jake Asmut
I was gonna say, like, if that's his reasoning, then Mike, I think it's a silly reason because what he could do is he could just wear a Knicks hat. And the Knicks, the Knick logo symbolizes the unity, whether you're a Met or Yankee fan. Not wearing a fakta hat with both logos etched on it.
Caller/Guest
Look, I don't like. I don't like the thing either because I'm a Mets fan and I hate the Yankees and I hate the Rangers
Ty Butler
and whatever, but I think he's doing
Caller/Guest
that because he's been preaching the Knicks are unity.
Ty Butler
So I think that's what he was doing.
Caller/Guest
I don't think it was him being a fraud saying, I'm Mets and Yankees. I think it was just him saying,
Ty Butler
hey, the Knicks unified the city.
Caller/Guest
Look at everybody here. Let's all celebrate, no matter what you are.
Rosenberg
If that's the case, then why not include the jets, the Giants, the Islanders and the Rangers?
Jake Asmut
Yeah, wear a hat with every logo.
Rosenberg
Put every team on it.
Caller/Guest
I don't Know if you can fit a hat with everything on it.
Rosenberg
Nah, I just think. I just. I think you're trying to keep. For your man's mellow, and I love mellow. I appreciate the call. It was just a terrible, terrible look. 800-9193776. Limo Driver, ed. Oh, man, here we go. Let's do a limo driver.
Caller
All right, guys, how y' all doing today? Right here on the Bell Parkway in traffic. But listen, you know, I tell you, man, the way the Knicks have did this, you got to take a page out of the spurs and the warriors and see how they did it. They had a dynasty, you know, they ran it back a couple of times. You. This is what you got to do if you want to do it this way and you want to keep this team.
Ty Butler
You.
Caller
You know, but they talk about Robinson and all that.
Well, you know what?
I'm pretty sure you can get a big man that could hit foul shots, so you don't have to worry about that too much. I mean, sure, you know, but it's just that this type of team, man, you know, they got it. It's just that, you know, you got to work on it, and I'm pretty sure when it comes down to the whole thing again, we'd be trying to run it back again. I mean, why not? It's nothing to me, you know, it's
Sam
nothing wrong with that.
Caller
I don't see a problem with it. And whoever you. Because right now, the way New York is in the Knicks, you can get any player now. And don't be surprised if LeBron want to come play. You never know.
Rosenberg
Not on a. Not on a minimum contract. Ed, I appreciate the call.
Jake Asmut
I don't want LeBron, by the way, on a minimum contract.
Rosenberg
Well, he wouldn't play for a minimum
Jake Asmut
contract, but I just like he. You had your chance, and it's. It's time to go. We don't want you to be. We. You chose not to be a part of this thing. And the Knicks, they don't need you right now. They have their team. And I'd rather go to war with those guys than hire, you know, a hired gun at this stage of his career.
Rosenberg
But I'm curious. So if the Knicks had lost in the conference finals to the Cavs, would you still have been, like, out on LeBron?
Jake Asmut
I'd be open to any move that I think would really help the team, but I. Now that I've seen this team win,
Rosenberg
that's what I meant. That's a product of having seen Them won already, right?
Jake Asmut
And the way they won, it's not like it was fluky or they. Weminyama got hurt in game one of the first quarter like we thought Brunson, God forbid, did. It's like. No, they. They were the best team. They lost one basketball game after the first round. They were one of the most dominant teams we've seen in NBA history.
Rosenberg
Here's Jerae in Queens. What's up, Jera?
Jeray
Jeray, Todd, but looks good, brother. I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.
Rosenberg
My bad, baby.
Ty Butler
I'm good, bro.
Caller
How you.
Rosenberg
I'm chilling, man.
Ty Butler
Yo, Ty, we spoke.
Jeray
We spoke a while back.
Caller/Guest
Okay.
Jeray
For the. Right before. The week before the Niners, Chiefs, super bowl, when you was doing the show with Brandon Jacobs.
Ty Butler
Right.
Jeray
And I told you I had bars.
Rosenberg
Okay.
Jeray
And I was supposed to write 16.
Rosenberg
Yes, I do remember.
Jeray
Call you back with those bar. You remember? All right.
Ty Butler
So I wrote. But I don't.
Jeray
I told you at that time that I don't write nothing down. So that's all the way in the back of the roller deck. Okay, so we have to revisit that at another time. One more point I wanted to make.
Rosenberg
Okay.
Jeray
To my homeboy Ty Butler that I've never met before. So I've been listening to yes we Radio forever. So I've heard your voice for years, right. I've heard your basketball knowledge and all of that. So I want to give respect to you for being a New York head and all of that. Hip hop head. All of the things I was gonna talk about, the Brunson judge thing, I don't want to hit another dead horse again. So I just wanted to give you your props and let you know I got 16 for you next time.
Rosenberg
Yo, hit me with the 16, man. I appreciate you. We got the Ty Butler show every Sunday morning from 8 to noon. So hit me up anytime.
Jake Asmut
Father's Day, Ty Butler show this week.
Rosenberg
Yeah, I might bring the kids on. They get a little shy when it comes to, you know, rising to the occasion.
Jake Asmut
They don't have that Jalen Brunson in them. No, they got that James Harden in them.
Rosenberg
I was going to go judge.
Jake Asmut
I was. I didn't see. I'm a Yankee fan and judges had moments.
Smalls
Like.
Jake Asmut
What moments has Harden had in the playoffs?
Rosenberg
Harden's had moments in the playoffs.
Jake Asmut
I covered him in Houston. Like, I would always deal with this
Rosenberg
Harden in the 2012 playoffs.
Jake Asmut
2012. That's how far back we're going.
Rosenberg
Yeah, but they were down 2, 0 to San Antonio when he was in OKC and he helped them win four straight games.
Jake Asmut
Well, great. He also had Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook as a team.
Rosenberg
Yeah, but he was the guy in the, the fourth quarters of those games. He's had moments. It's just he always follows it up with stinkers. A couple of years ago was this 23 against. He was on the Sixers. It was that Celtics series he dropped. Was it 40 in the game? Game one, he had 40 points, but he just. It's the consistency with Harden, but I get your point. 800-919-3776. You got something for us?
Jake Asmut
Oh, you ready for the final leaderboard update of the week?
Rosenberg
Let's do it.
Jake Asmut
This great station because it's time for that right now. Presented by Michelov Ultra. That's right. Open at Shinnecock out on the east end of Long Island. And Windham Clark continues to dominate. He is seven under and he is the leader all by himself. Second place. A couple of golfers you've heard of. Xander Shopley, Sam Stevens, Matt Fitzpatrick, all three under. Tied for fifth. Colin Morikawa, Sam Burns, Tom Kim, all at two under Justin Thomas, Harry Higgs, Maverick McNeely, Brian Harmon, and let's get his name right. Nope, I got it right. Harry Higgs. If I didn't say him, I said him twice. Tied for eight. So that is the top eight, if you will, of your leaderboard for the U.S. open. The leaderboard update brought to you by Michelov Ultra. Doesn't matter if you're a pro or just playing for fun. The moment you play for a Michelov Ultra, every move suddenly means something more. Because superior is worth playing for. Michelov Ultra. Superior light, peer. Enjoy responsibly.
Rosenberg
I would like to hang with Mav and Rich on a Laker flow. Maverick Carter and Rich Paul. The Lakers win the championship.
Jake Asmut
LeBron's guys.
Rosenberg
Yeah, I'd like to hang with them. That'd be fun. Max Kellerman, maybe because he does the podcast with Richard.
Jake Asmut
How did Max Kellerman finagle his way to doing a podcast with.
Rosenberg
I don't think that's finagling. That's.
Jake Asmut
Did he have like a relationship with them? Was he always a pro LeBron guy?
Rosenberg
Well, he's lived in LA.
Jake Asmut
Your guy, Nick Wright, if anyone should be doing a LeBron centric podcast, should be him.
Rosenberg
But, I mean, Matt is pretty damn talented.
Jake Asmut
You brought up to me. I don't know if you did this on air. Off air. I ripped one of Nick Wright's takes. I Think it was about the jets or Rogers back in the day. And like, I guess he saw it and says something to you about it. I want to give him public praise, his flowers, if you will. I thought his. His takes on the Knicks during the playoff run were awesome. Like, he was like one of the first people to be like, I think they could win it all. Like, this is. This is not a fluke, what they're doing. Like, Brunson's a true superstar. I thought he had some outstanding Knicks takes on his show.
Rosenberg
I think what it was, we were doing a show one day and the topic of the show was something like Nick Wright's terrible. Like reacting to Nick Wright's terrible take about the Jets. But then he. He becomes a guest on the show, which is weird. It's like attacking Nick Wright's horrible take about the Jets.
Jake Asmut
So we had him and we had him on radio in. In the same radio show. We had previously attacked one of his takes. Not we.
Rosenberg
You did like the title of your stream or whatever it was, was Nick Wright responding to Nick Wright's terrible take about the Jets. And then he's like a guest on the show. So that was weird.
Athletic Brewing Company Advertiser
That was.
Rosenberg
But yes, he was. I think he picked the Celtics to win the title initially, and then after they went out, he was very high on the Knicks. So shout out to Nick Wright.

800-919-3776. My man Javier is calling from Queens. Javi, what's going on?
Javier
What's up, guys? Let me take you off the Bluetooth. I can't. What's up, boys? Javi, how y' all doing? So I haven't been on with Jake in a while. Ty and me been having a good dialogue during this. This season. You know how confident I was. Ty, if I may, man, a little. A little shameless self promotion. I am DJing the the official unofficial after after parade party at Charlie's Astoria tomorrow night starting at 8. Ty, you know that I DJ. You guys are both invited. Come through.
Rosenberg
Shout out. Javier, what are we playing tomorrow night, man? It's better be New York News, New York centric.
Javier
Yeah, we playing that Nick's tape, man. We're playing that New York, New York all night long.
Rosenberg
Love that.
Javier
With a couple of other hits mixed in there, but. Oh, you guys are talking about Max Kellerman and today being fraud Friday. Max Kellerman is my man. I love Max Kelman. I got a picture with him at the Garden many years ago. Nicks him a long time ago. But Max Kellerman grew up a Knicks fan. I don't know if you guys are aware. Yes, when he moved out to la, he dropped the Knicks and he became a Lakers fan.
Jake Asmut
I think he renounced his fandom with. Wait, but I thought he renounced his fandom when KD and Kyrie went to Brooklyn. I thought that was the last straw for him. If I remember correctly, it was around
Javier
that time, but I think he also had moved to LA around that time. So he took on the Lakers.
Rosenberg
Yeah, he was doing afternoon drive with Marcellus. Right, right. So he was doing a lot of Laker. Was he a Laker fan or was he just doing talk radio on espn? La,
Javier
doing ESPN work? So you guys think, is he a fraud? Like, I know Don might say, as long as you drop your team and then you keep the next team, you don't go back, you're not a fraud. But that's my question to you guys in regards to Max Kellerman maybe being a fraud or not. But I was at the Parade yesterday. It was incredible. This whole season has been incredible. And to top it off, the jets made an incredible signing for Tippmann. I can't believe we're also talking jets, but the jets made a very good signing in the midst of this. But the jets are also clueless. They tried to call me yesterday to pay off my group. My group plan mid mid Parade so starting to get their act right. But at the same time, two step forwards, one step back, man. Yes, jets is funny, but jets is next. Let's do it. Oh, man. Let's go, New York. Tell me what you think about Kellerman. You guys are the best.
Jeray
Let's go.
Rosenberg
Let's go.
Javier
Let's go, jets, baby.
Jake Asmut
We appreciate it. Think about what happened in New York sports over the past week. Some great storylines involving the tip OG at an OB's tip and Joe Tippmann's contract extension with the Jets.
Rosenberg
Rosenberg's tip apparently not being Good enough for Natalie. 800-919-3776. Man, he's on the turnpike. What's up, Manny? Talk to us, baby. How's it going, guys?
Caller
Great.
Javier
First time caller show.
Caller
Can you hear me?
Rosenberg
Yes. We got you, man. Appreciate you. Talk to us.
Ty Butler
So, yeah, so I was listening about the duality of wearing the Carmelo hat. New York and New York Yankees and Mets. I'm a die hard Yankee fan, but I understand that die hard is being questioned. I remember being in the service in the mid-80s.
Rosenberg
And thank you for your service, by the way, 1986.
Ty Butler
My pleasure. In 1986, I'm there in North Carolina camp. Lejeune and the Giants are in the playoffs. The Mets are in the playoffs. I'm a Yankees fan. I'm a Giants fan. I am. Everybody down south hates New York. And let me tell you, I defended those Mets not only because they were from New York, but they were also playing the Red Sox. And I defended all New York teams. And whenever I'm outside of New York, I'm all New York. I don't care what team it is.
Javier
It is.
Ty Butler
I am pulling for them. But I am a Yankees fan, I'm a Rangers fan and I'm a Giants fan. I pulled for them first. But like in 2000 when I was. When the Mets and the Yankees were playing in the World Series, I was pulling for the Yankees. But I knew that it was probably better for the city if the Mets have won because they hadn't won in such a long time. Just like the Knicks win now. What do you think, Los Angeles?
Jake Asmut
Manny, thank you for your service first and foremost. But if you're a die hard fan of any of your teams, you can't just root for any team if they also happen to play in New York. I could never root for the Mets as a Yankee fan. I could never root for the Rangers as an Islander fan. I don't even really hate the Giants, but I couldn't root for them. I rooted for them in the super bowl against New England out of necessity. But like I wasn't thrilled that they won. It was like the lesser of two evils.
Rosenberg
That was tough for me. Both of those Super Bowls were tough. I think. In 07 I rooted for the if I remember correctly, I rooted for the Giants. And then in 2011 I rooted for the Patriots. I just didn't know what to do.
Jake Asmut
It hurt more in 2011 because the jets had just come off two trips to the AFC championship and then they
Rosenberg
beat the jets on Christmas Eve.
Jake Asmut
The Victor Cruz game happened and then it's like, oh, they're going to go and win the super bowl. After we thought the jets were finally going to be the team in town, they were knocking on the door and oh no, it's the Giants who get to beat the Patriots in the biggest stage. Again, like that. That, that hurt more than.07. Whereas like I was rooting for the underdog Giants. Like, great. I don't want New England to have the best season of all time.

Let's end with some phone calls. Sam's in Brooklyn. He's a magic fan here in New York City. What's up, Sam?
Sam
What's up, guys? Listen, I was. I lived in Orlando. I'm born and raised in Brooklyn. I moved to Orlando, like, 88. And that's the following years when they, when they started and. And then I moved back short after. But I've stayed a magic bend since, since their inception. So I've been through the whole, like, 94. When the, when the Knicks were on top of the world. 99, you know, and now. And it. I never wavered off of, like, you know, let me, Let me shift. I rooted for New York, like, as a whole, as a city, but I didn't, like, necessarily root for the Knicks because why would I? I'm not a Knicks fan. You know what I mean? And I think, like, these guys who, who are like, well, you know, I rooted for the Knicks, whatever. Not as bogus, man. Like, if you're a fan of a team, then be the fan of the team and don't waiver. That's, you know, it's like with the Mets and Yankees. I hate the Yankees so much. My dad came in, wanted to go to a Yankee game. I said, no, I'm not taking you. I know you want to go to a Yankee game. I'm not going to Yankee Stadium. I'm not sitting stepping foot in there because that's just, you know what I mean? Like, that's. It's real. Like, the hate is real. Like, it's deep. And so that's the only way I know, like, to be a fan, to
Ty Butler
call yourself a fan.
Sam
You're a fanatic, right? So you can't, like, waiver.
Rosenberg
No, I get, I get. I wouldn't go that far. Sam. I. We appreciate the call and not being able to set foot in a stadium, but as long as you are, you know, staying true to, like, your core beliefs as a fan, then sure, go ahead.
Jake Asmut
I mean, I've been to Fenway park when the Yankees weren't playing, so I could see it. Like, I, I. And I hate the rest of the historic ballpark. Yeah, I think that's extreme. I wouldn't even go there. It's like, just be loyal to your team.
Charles Barkley
Don't.
Jake Asmut
Don't wear a hat that has the Met and the Yankee logo on it if you're Carmelo Anthony.
Rosenberg
I.
Jake Asmut
Just pick a team that's your team. And if you want to wear the hat because you're unifying the city sports fans, then just wear the Knick hat.
Rosenberg
That's bogus. Richard in Manhattan is going to close things out for us. What's up, Richard?
Javier
What's up, Richard?
Caller
Hi, Ty. Hi, Ty. Jake. I'm sorry, fellas. Why wasn't the parade Today, this would have been perfect. Tomorrow, we're off. Today's a holiday. This was emblematic of what the. What the holiday is about. I would have been great. I don't know.
Jake Asmut
Emblematic about the Knicks winning a championship?
Rosenberg
Yeah, I think it's big.
Caller
It's a unifying thing. I think it would have meant something, Jake. I mean, you know, I just cut it out.
Rosenberg
I'm keeping a stack man. As an African American. Chill out with that talk. Like, that's crazy.
Caller
It's a nice, you know, the mix of what they've done. One of the greatest unifiers I've ever seen seen in sports. I didn't think anything can top the 69 Mets. I thought this was fantastic. The only guys that should have spoke was the mayor, and then, of course, Dolan and Rose and Mike Brown and the players. You know, it's like you go to a wedding, the focus is on the bride and the groom. Nobody else. No politicians, no. These ancillary people. It should have been just.
Jake Asmut
I like the best man speech, Richard. You don't like a good best man speech?
Caller
Well, that's something, too. All right, now, as far as the dress, I like the way Mandani drove. The mayor wore. He wore the shirt underneath. He wore it, you know, he looked formal with the sport jacket, but his wife looked like a bohemian. She looked like she was celebrating 50 years of Woodstock. She got, you know, she's got to be elegant for this moment. You're the mayor's wife of New York City. I don't understand it. Now, lastly, can I talk about the Yankee game yesterday?
Rosenberg
Quickly, you got 20 seconds.

I'm not against. I'm not saying anything negative against volpe. He round second in a 1:1 game and went to third. And by the way, Dave Sims made a fan. You guys know I'm a radio guy. Dave Simms, during Real Time, says Volpe round second. Uh, oh, he's getting greedy and he's gonna try for third. Oh, he's just. Like I said, he got greedy, and that's what happened. Now after the game. Now, I have nothing against Volpe doing it, but. But Boone talks to me like I'm an idiot. He says, that was an aggressive play. That wasn't an aggressive play. You. You don't go to church.
Rosenberg
We're going to have to holl at you another time, man. Going at the mayor's wife is crazy.
Jake Asmut
A bohemian. Is that what he referred to her as?
Rosenberg
Yo, that's. Wow, bro. My man had a nice speech out there.
Jake Asmut
That wasn't even the craziest part of his call. He compared the Knicks winning a championship. The Juneteenth, yo. He said it'd be symbolic for the Knicks to have their parade on Juneteenth. That was the most insane thing that

the virtual ending of slavery.
Jake Asmut
I'm sure he'll have it for you
Rosenberg
on Sunday too, Ty.
Jake Asmut
Don't worry.
Rosenberg
Oh my. And so between that and then going at the mayor's wife like, what's wrong with this man?
Jake Asmut
That's why Richard is one of the all time greats that calls into the station because you never know what you're going to get.
Rosenberg
Oh my goodness. Well, I knew what I was going to get coming into today and that was outstanding sports talk with my man Jake Asmut.
Jake Asmut
So the Ass and Butt show as Michael K. Coined it.
Rosenberg
Love it. This was fun, man.
Jake Asmut
It was. It was surreal to do a show the day after a Knicks championship parade. An honor and a privilege, Ty.
Rosenberg
Shout out to Jake Asm. Shout out to my guys, Anthony Pusick and Julian. I'll of course be back Sunday morning from 8 to noon on Father's Day.
Jake Asmut
Happy Father's Day, dad.
Rosenberg
But until then, shout out to you guys.
