This is the first shot of the war, MMA versus boxing. It's the first real shot. We've been real nice to y' all over there on the boxing side, and we've been letting y' all just get off and say, oh, we make more money and forget you guys and. And blah, blah, blah, you know, and so we just been over here just like poor us, you know, just hating you guys. But now it's the first shot that we're getting back at y' all now, and y' all don't like it. Ready to flex. Leon is at you see?
B
Where is that? Come tune in.
A
We don't stream with a chat. You can Michael Parson get you a set?
B
What's up, guys? Mystic Zach here. Welcome Back to episode 24 of Double Coverage. Today I'm joined by UFC veteran who feels like he's finally getting the respect he deserves.
A
King Green, Pleasure to have you, brother. Pleasure to have you. Pleasure to be on the show. Let's go.
B
You're. You're rocking the. The Lakers purple. We got Cryptorina behind us, and we're in episode 24.
A
Yeah, yeah. I'm looking like I'm probably. Probably be coming to LA soon. Come out here and do a show out here. It'd be sick. Right at the crypto. Let's do it right at the Crypto. I think you planned this out perfectly.
B
God's plan, baby.
A
You know we're gonna set the seeds right now.
B
But you're on fire. We saw your finish over Terence McKinney. And then you hop into the streaming world, beat up a 19:1 pro boxer, bang Williams. The boxing world is. Is in an uproar. The MMA world has your back. How has this been kind of getting the attention of all these kids on the Internet, man?
A
I'm so busy, I haven't been able to pay attention. If I'm be honest, brother. I got multiple businesses, I got properties, and the management of those things. I got three kids, one. Well, I got four kids, three baby mamas, one black, one white, one Mexican. So I'm in three different places all the time collecting kids, then take them all some place, then drop that kid off. Drop that kid off, that kid. All in different cities. And so I'm always busy, brother. I'm so busy. I don't even pay attention to Internet stuff so much. I see my followers went up, so that's cool, you know, but it's just like, whatever, you know, it's just whatever.
B
So we're talking about it. You pull up to the Gym, minding your own business. And then what happens?
A
It started re. It started months ago. I run into Dean. I have a. A big brother of mine. He's like, hey. One day he just sends me a random text. He's like, hey, you should go spar. This guy named Dean. So I'm like, why did he send me that? And I know my brother. If he said that, like, you have to be sticking on, like a sore thumb. Some reason my brother wants me to. To. To get at you. Coincidentally, maybe two months, three months later, I ran into Dean. I want to rampage the shows. I'm like, oh, okay, cool. Something like, hey, my brother told me I should spar. You. You know, he's like, oh, yeah, we should spar. We can spar. You know, we can spar. I'm like, okay, cool. Then I run into him a few different times where I see him in the ring. I'm like, oh, what's up with that? Spar. Nice. I'm like, ah. So he gave me that feeling like, you were just talking for the stream. You're not really a tough guy, you know. So then I keep seeing him, and every time I see him, he still keeps doing the wolfing. But then I'm like, yeah, won't go and do it, though. You won't do it. Now he tag teams with AB and now they're running their stream together. I see them both. They're both matching. I go, oh, it's Tweedle D and Tweedle Dumb, you know? And then saw Kirk going on in on these guys and start talking to each other. And basically they're saying, boxers going to knock me out and I don't deserve a serve. A chance I can. I don't even belong in a ring with them. And so I'm like, okay, fine. Now I end up calling. I'm like, hey, Dean, I'm coming up there. But Dean doesn't run his stream. I guess someone else does. So they go, yeah, cool. You know, but they don't tell Dean. And Dean thinks I'm coming to stream. I tell them on the. On the message, I'm coming to spar. This is not. No, I came to Spar. You and A.B. who said I came box. I came to. To show y' all I could box. And so I hear that they're doing the locked in stuff. I'm like, let me go up here and just sneak in and see what I can do. I go in these. All these guys are in the freaking pool. And, you know, I'm like, what the he said, look like a bunch of sea turtles in here, you know, playing around, you know? So I'm like, man, get out of here. Get out the damn pool, and let's go upstairs and box, you know? They're all being like, last days. I'm like, this is not no real fight gym if you guys supposed to be locked in. And so I'm talking, I'm telling me, trying to explain them what I think fighting is. And I'm trying to explain them. I know it's just going over their heads. They keep disrespecting me. They keep saying funny little, doing little. Then they both duck off somewhere. And I already knew what's up. I go, I tell my boy, I say, hey, they're calling their muscle. You know, they calling the muscle. They f. To call whoever they was to get me out the ring. And so I'm like, oh, watch this. All of a sudden, I'm getting ready to go down the stairs. As I'm going down the stairs to go, smoke bang is coming in. So I'm coming out. He's like, oh, you want a box? You want a box? Come get here. Get. Come over here. Get knocked out. You know, my. So I play, like, real docile. I get real quiet when he say all that. Oh, come, boss. Come, boss. I was like, I just walk off all slow. I go play real dossel like a girl, you know, I just get off. Like, I walk outside all quiet. He don't know. He think I just run off scared. So I went and got my bag. I come back in like, hey, what's up? You know? So I can see it. Like, they're like, oh, no, we're serious. I'm like, yeah, I'm serious. So getting the kit ring, I'm thinking, we're gonna box. Think it's about the time that I actually get to show them it's time for me to box. They look and they see I got stitches from the Terrence fight. And they go, oh, no, you can't do that. You know, you can't do that. You can't do that. So kick me out and won't let me box. They talk to me and say, I don't deserve it. And this guy here, if I would have gotten there with him, he would have hurt me really bad. One punch would hurt me really bad. So I'm like, all right, you guys keep saying, like, I don't. Like. I don't know what I'm doing. I've been on many boxing mats, and. And every time, it's always the same way. They always say, hey, what the hell? He doesn't have the cup, he doesn't have the gloves, he doesn't have the headgear. He. He doesn't put his hands up. They tell me all the rules I'm breaking. I know I'm like, but just let me box. Let me show you I can do my thing. And if they give me a chance, because most of them, like, don't even give me a chance. Like, I was at Mayweather Gym, same thing. They kicked me out the rain. They wouldn't let me box. They think I don't know what I'm doing. And so these guys give me the opportunity if I got my stitches out. So I leave home, go get the stitches out, maybe a day or two later, come back, boom, I'm back, you know, Surprise. Yeah, I know. They thought, everyone's coming back. So I'm back, and I'm like, all right, now, what's your excuse? What's going to be your excuse now? And so I come up there, I'm all fat. I just got a fight. I haven't trained since the fight, so I don't even know if I got it or not. I'm like, these things, they've been working in a second. It's been about a week. I don't know if they still work the same or not, if my timing is off, any of this, you know, so I'm like, man, let me go see if I can do this or not. I come up there, and they're still disrespectful. They're still talking this stuff. I'm like, all right, let's go. And then now we get to it. I go, hey, I'm just telling you right now, this is going to be funny. This is going to be. It's going to be great. Are you trying to tell them this? But they're not listening to him. Like, it's going to be like nothing you've ever experienced in your life. I tell them, Dean's going to care. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They don't know what's coming. Boy, oh, boy, was I right, you know? And we went viral.
B
Yeah, you went viral. I come from the boxing world. I grew up in the boxing world, so. And I know, bang. I've commentated his fights. AB was always very good to me, so you'd expect me to have the opinion, you know, be on their side. I don't agree with. I just met you. I don't agree with the thing they said. I Mean, I don't understand how you can say that. He's going to destroy you. That's my guy. He's going to, you know, box your ears off, and then you dominate the spar. And then it's, oh, he's too small. Oh, he's this. Oh, that. Where was that before they sparred? None of that energy. The entire energy shifted. And then to talk about the size, he fights at 135. I. I know. Bang. He's never weighed 135 outside of a fight. I don't know what he eats outside of camp. You know what I'm saying? But he's a big guy at a camp. Like, he enjoys eating, you know? And then he was a big dude, like.
A
And he's this way. Yeah, this way. No, he's this way.
B
He's a bit that way, you know? And I've. I've known being forever. And then to top it all off, they have this, like, bravado attitude now. Like, oh, I'll box you, Bobby, but you're not gonna get into the cage.
A
That's what my point is, that there's no way. Why didn't he hop in? Why didn't anyone else hop in?
B
And no one. No one is ever like, oh, I'll handle you. That's easy work. Nobody wanted after that. And you're. You're 39 years old. Like, this is crazy. These are all young guys, supposed to be in their prime. You're just putting belt to ass. So that was. That was embarrassing for everyone involved.
A
Check this out, Zach. This is the first shot of the war. MMA versus boxing. It's the first real shot. We've been real nice to y' all over there on the boxing side, and we've been letting y' all just get off and say, oh, we make more money, you guys, you know, so I'm sorry. Sorry, I'll forget you guys and. And blah, blah, you know, and so we've just been over here, just like, poor us, you know, just hating you guys. But now it's the first shot that we're getting back at y' all now, and y' all don't like it. I'm not saying you directly, but, you know, I agree. I'm with him, you know? And so now all the boxers is talking to me. They're calling me out. I'm like, man, I didn't even ask for none of this, but I take all fades. Gentlemen, if you keep calling and just come get me, come find me, and you can get your fade 100. But it's the first shot anytime, any war started now.
B
Yeah, the war is. And to be fair, y' all ain't
A
coming over here, though.
B
Yeah. No, they're not.
A
Who's coming over here to our side?
B
Nobody.
A
No, no, no. James, Tony, he came across bad. He tried it.
B
They put him. Yeah, that was a tough.
A
He tried it.
B
Yeah, they tried Kimbo.
A
There was a couple brave souls.
B
Yeah, the women do it. Serrano and Clarissa Shield, you know.
A
Okay, okay, I'll give the women.
B
Got more balls, I guess.
A
Hey, but she got. She got taxed up, too. Yeah, but she. She's developing.
B
They're saying Jake Paul is going to make his debut next year.
A
He going to try to do the same thing, go pick on a littler guy.
B
Is that. Is that a. Is that a real fight for Nate Diaz if he has to go against Jake? Because Jake's so much bigger.
A
His.
B
Nate's got so much more experience, obviously.
A
Yeah. But especially MMA glows. One shot could put you away. And so that's too risky, you know, and it's already unfair. We had to do it in boxing, and this guy's being basically a weight bully, you know, trying to take advantage of the system because he has the power and the control and the rules. And so you have to come fight me and fight according to all my rules. That shit's weird.
B
You know, he's a powerful player now. I mean, they just merged with pfl, so now he's would be a fighter and promoter and owner. So he can basically.
A
It's messy. It's messy. Like, you see how Khabib was like, yeah, give him the bill. Like, we don't want you to put the belt on us, you know, get out of here. You're not even a real fighter. Yeah, you know, you're. You're a celebrity boxer. You're not even a boxer. You're a celebrity boxer.
B

Fathead.com. i support this product, and I personally endorse their stuff because I love it. Would you spar with Jake?
A
Of course I fight Jake and whoop his ass, you know, like. Like, it's Nate Diaz's fight, so I wouldn't take it, you know, but I would. I would Jake's.
B
But if he's like, I saw what you did to bang.
A
I do to Jake with my hands down, talking, what's up? What's up? I was doing the same way, but people think that I was weight bullying. Bang. I'm like, but no, I never film any of my sparring. Don't show it. But my homies know I called him the B word all the time. What's up? But, yeah, I'll be talking the same thing at the gym. The MMA fans know exactly what I do. The boxers just never heard of me. And now they seemingly like, who is this guy? You know, surprise, I'm here.
B
What do you think about Dean the Great versus Henry Cejudo? Because it looks like they're gonna box.
A
Yeah. You sure you want to hear what I'm gonna say?
B
Yeah.
A
Okay, just try. Let's try it. So I talked to Dean about it, and I'm like, dean, so you gotta fight. He's like, oh, I'm telling you. I'm telling you in love. And so he ended up confirming that or something. I'm like, oh, yeah, you guys can fight. He's like, yeah. And the first thing he said was this. He said, what is it called? Rehydration cloths, Rehydration clothes. The first thing he said, he said, who he's fighting. He said, rehydration clause. And to me, you're soft. You know, he's soft, you know, so he's soft. And, like, I'm like, the fact that you're worried about if we make the same weight, we both weigh in on the scale. Now you're worried about how much water I drink after. Yeah, like, that's. That's pretty soft to me. If we can touch the same weight, we're good. I don't care if you have to go shove a whole gallon water up your ass. You know, whatever makes you want to feel like you got it. Do what you do. But once he said that, I'm like, I don't know, bro. It's probably not even gonna happen. Or it's gonna be, oh, because you didn't do rehydration clothes or this and this. And it sound like two got. We don't got two down fighters. When he's like, yeah, I'm fighting. And they're both like, yeah, we're fighting him. We got to go fight. And so then I'm like. When I heard rejoicing, I'm like, ah,
B
sounds like red flag.
A
Like, like, like Manny Pacquiao and. And Floyd and all the testing and. And this, and then they're arguing like that. Oh, it's not going to happen.
B
No, no, that. That ruins fights for sure. The blood test, the. The hydration, whatever, just.
A
Just if we can maintain weight, we can scrape the. Just keep it that simple, you know? And so I. I think Dean has some talent. I think he could be great. I think he has potential against Henry. You know, Henry has never boxed. I've never seen him be like, the boxing type, so it's in Dean's favor. But again, it's boxing gloves. Henry's. Henry a very competitive guy. He's got a whole lot of fight in him. I don't know. I still go with Dean, though.
B
It's a great matchup. Yeah, because you're kind of wondering, right, is. Does Dean have enough dog in him to deal with Henry going at him? Right. But Dean's got tools. Like, people talk a lot about him because of the viral clips, but he's explosive. He's got a real nice pull, counter.
A
Yeah, he's got great counters. He's fast. I think I was trying to explain to him some of his issues that I seen. I'm like, okay, you do this, you do this. But he's not listening to me. So hopefully he'll listen and gain up some knowledge.
B
Yeah, for sure. Would you want to, like, do you think there could be a path to you boxing, like, for Zufa boxing? Have they talked to you about that? Do you think they'd be open to that?
A
That'd be dope, you know, I mean, but Dana already said he doesn't want us crossing over. So it's like, you know, like, I think me, Kevin Holland, like, guys like that are down there, a few guys out there that have come over there. Jamal Hill, we go over there and box, you know, but they won't let us, you know, and it's just iffy. And trust me, like, it seems like everybody keeps trying to, like, push me towards the boxing because I think they're realizing I could be an exciting boxer. I can make something more over there in the boxing side or. Or at least they want to see me get knocked out. One of the two.
B
You know, I think the MMA guys need a win on the boxing side, and you did so good. It was like, all right, we need this guy representing us.
A
Yeah. Aiden Ross was trying to get me to go over there and do it boxing over there, but I'm like, I'm in contract, so I can't do that.
B
No, that wouldn't.
A
You know, they can't get me out of contract. He's like, we'll match your pay. And so he looked up some numbers on the computer, and it said, 300, 000. I'll get paid 300, 000. And so I'm like, what the heck? Like, I'm like, you have to give me at least a half a million to go get out of a paycheck with you. You know, you guys aren't gonna pay that, so why would I do that when I've been doing that four times this year? You know what I mean?
B
Yeah.
A
Why would I go leave my company who takes care of me?
B
No, that wouldn't.
A
To do that. It doesn't make sense.
B
You know, we had your Ryan Faber on the show. He's been retired for. They were asking him to box. They were like, alfred him. Like, I think he said 75. He's like, what? Hell no.
A
See what I'm saying? That's what I said. They're not paying like that. I was like, bro, you're not gonna give me the money that I'm getting over here? Bro, stop. Like, we don't even need to talk about it. So you want to box me in Brown race? I'm like, no, look, if I was boxing on Brad Rest doing bad, you know, I must be doing bad. Sheesh.
B
And you just had an incredible come from behind Victory and Terence McKinney, first round. Bang, straight to the body. I think maybe your biggest win ever on the Conor McGregor card. I mean, the whole world is watching. I was chill. I looked down on my phone for one second, and then I hear my dad screaming, he's out. And I was like. And you had been, you know, losing.
A
And I was like, huh?
B
And then you were celebrating him. I'm like, what? What the hell just happened? Like, pulled straight from thin air. But obviously, you're. You have so much fight experience, you know, that you're never out of a fight.
A
Man, that was an interesting fight. I remember I was back in the back, praying to God, and I was like. Like, God, what else can you show me in fighting? I've seen it all. Like, what could you show Me. And it was interesting. Is that, like, in that fight, I was talking to Terence ath, He said, I hit you with something right in your eye. I could tell if with you. But you didn't.
B
You.
A
I could see there was no quitting you. And the. The thing. What was new about the fight was that I've had fights where I've gotten cut open before. I've had fights where I got hit right in the eye, and I felt like my eye got busted open. I've had fights where I got stuck in a situation and it's like, it's sticky. But now all those things happen at once. You know what I mean? All at once. And so now that was new for me. This fight is to deal with all those different things at once. But since I already had them happen, I'm like, man, I am tripping. Like, I got cut before. I'll been leaking all the place. I'm not really tripping. Then he busted me in my eye. Last time I got hit in the eye, I was like, my eye. You know? And so they thought he poked me in the eye. I would just holler in my eye. I didn't say he poked me.
B
I was hit her.
A
You know, it hurt you, right? Knuckles like that. Boom. Right in your. You think it busted you, you know? And so I'm hollering my eye, but this time, I'm still like, what's up? Trying to. Trying to get my eye open. You know what I mean? Trying to get it open. And so I'm just really cool. Like, this was really dope about that fight. It was just like everything possibly could go right for Terence went right for Terence. Everything could possibly go wrong. What went wrong for me and still being cool through it. I felt like I kept telling everybody I was just warming up. I was just kind of, like, going for the ride. I didn't feel like I was really, like, even tired yet or even really started working. I told Terrence that, like, once we got to our feet, I'm like, no, this is actually where the fight begins for me. Before that, I was just warming up and seeing what you do, seeing what you throw, learning your timing, learn how fast and how hard you throw, or you want to grapple more, you want to box more. And now I got my package together. Now let's fight.
B
How did that feel after? How does that compare to all your other wins? Is it right up there with the. The feeling you felt?
A
To be honest, bro, I'm not really like, that type of guy where we're into, like. Like, I don't know. I try to be humble, and so it's just another day at the office. I tell them that every time. Another day at the office. Guys, they're always, like, in my face, trying to film me and ask them, say something. It's another day at the office. Well, how do you feel? Nothing's changed. But the day when you do your job at work, do you go, hey, no. You just go, it's work.
B
Yeah, It's Sometimes, though, it's a little special. I get a little, you know, more. But, like, we have Mike Tyson on. I saw Mike Tyson. I got nervous, you know, like a little bit of butterflies.
A
Okay. I mean, your job's different. Yeah, your job's a little different, but,
B
like, the McGregor, the. The pot from the crowd after, it just. It was. It was huge.
A
Just another day.
B
Another day at the office. Yeah.
A
I don't know. I don't move like that, bro.
B
Did you feel that same way when you were 22 years old, just another day at the office, or is it a completely different feeling?
A
I guess back in the day, maybe it was more, you know, I mean, we were young, and your testosterone's up there now. It's more so, like, you're grown, and. And to be honest, it's like everybody counted me out, but at the same time, for me, it's just like being confident in what I said, you know? And I don't want to be the guy. Be like, I told you so. Just another day at the office, bro. This is what I do, you know? And everybody's like, oh, you lost the Patty. Oh, you lost the Ruffy. And they count you out. I'm like, okay, I'll just show you what I do. This is nothing new, and I'll keep doing it.
B
No, the beautiful thing about the UFC is that, unlike boxing, you can lose and then come right back. You don't get counted out. There's not this huge emphasis on having an undefeated record. You can lose multiple. I mean, Charles Oliveira was thought of as a journeyman and then rises his way. He's the champion, you know, everyone counts him out consistently, and he proves him wrong.
A
I think that's different with boxing, though. Like, boxing, same thing. Canelo lost a couple times, but he still came back, you know? But the problem is, like, it's how you fight. If they want to see you fight, you have a fan base. Do you have an audience, all those things. So it's really about that, because there's guys in UFC that nobody want to see. Fight again so you could lose. And I've seen guys win and get cut and get out of here. So still entertainment. Entertainment business. And that's all I'm. It's the. The main point about doing fighting, like, and especially, like, for me, is it something I want to see or not? You're gonna ask me about a fight, I'm like, be honest, bro. It was boring. I didn't want to watch it. Yeah, I can tell you just like that. I didn't watch. It was boring. They didn't have what it takes. I'll catch them when they start getting entertaining.
B
So you're a fan at heart because you've got, like, the same mindset as kind of what you hear, right? Sometimes the fighters defend it. They're like, I got to do what I got to do to win. But you're saying you got to be entertaining at the end of the day.
A
Yeah, what I'm saying more so you got to earn it. And, like, for instance, I think the kid's name is this. He's Sean O' Malley's friend, Tommy McMillan. There we go. Make something. And so he's asking me about Tommy, and I'm like, yeah, I heard him. Hearing his little wave, but I'm just like, I like to see if they're gonna be around some more, you know, and then I'll pay more attention. So you gotta get my attention like that. Like, okay, he solidified. He's been through the Tide, where he got the wave, where he was the. And then he got tested, went down, and came back up then. All right, now start paying attention to you. You're here to stay. But some guys will go through this wave, lose a few, and then they're gone. I'm like, I'm not watching you. I'm only going to watch the guys that are actually here to stay, actually putting on great fights and worth it.
B
Who are some of those guys for you who are. Must see tv.
A
Must see tv. Like, I like Michael Venom. Page Dominic Cruz. I was a big fan of Nate Diaz's fights. I can keep going on down the list. BJ, PA, real fighters that it was a fight when these guys came, you know, that you can expect to fight in. In any situation they're in. It's going to be exciting. They're not just sitting around hugging and wasting people time selling fights, you know? Selling fights. There's so many different people that I could name. Like, there was the Giannis kid. Adrian Giannis. I like. I like that kid. Right now.
B
He's Got hands?
A
Yes. He comes and he boxes your ass up. Like, I like a lot of different people. I like o'. Malley. Now, me and Melly had beef for a second, but, Mel, you fight. I had to tell him that I like you because you fight, kid. You're on the team. And now when you fight, I'm coming to watch. But I might not watch half the card, but I'll watch your fight.
B
I love it. I saw you tell Dominic Cruz that he's, like, the only white guy who moves like a black guy.
A
Oh, I don't know. No, you don't get me going down that damn column. All right? I don't want to sound that way, because I'm not trying to do that. Like this race thing.
B
No, it's not.
A
It's.
B
But it's funny because even growing up in the gym, you always hear like, you gotta fight like a black fighter. If I like, it's always like. That's a real thing, though.
A
I'm just saying what it is.
B
Yeah.
A
It's a different thing. And so I box.
B
I don't have rhythm.
A
Okay.
B
I'm a white guy.
A
Do you dance?
B
That'll happen. I do not.
A
You don't dance with no girls. You never dance with girls.
B
I'm bad at it.
A
But you'll get out there, though.
B
Yeah. I don't get groovy. I'm not as good as you.
A
Well, I'm not saying you're gonna get out there and have a. Yeah. Excuse me. A showtime. And you're down a line doing the Legend Robot or something. But I'm saying you'll get out there and groove.
B
Yeah, yeah, I'll get out there.
A
Okay. Okay. But I'm saying some guys, that won't do it at all. Yeah. And so.
B
But Dom is all over when he fights. You know, he's dancing and moving, and it is like an art.
A
Yeah, yeah. And we can see it from people who come from rhythm. Oh, you got rhythm. You know, and his own. It's his own rhythm. Like, he do some kind of funky hops and do these little things that no one else was doing. And so that's his own style, his own genre. He kind of created that. And so that's one reason I give him his flowers.
B
No, for sure. And, yeah, you always hear that in the gym, though. Like, that's always a thing. And it's not like, this one's better or this one's worse. It's just reality.
A
When I fight all my fighters, all in my gym, I say, hey, you Gonna fight. You're gonna learn how to fight like a black dude today, you know, you're gonna learn how to fight like a black dude. And they kind of like, whatever. And then I started showing them what I mean, like, so a lot of, like, some of my, like, Mexican fighters, they'll fight. They'll put their head down. Put the head down. I'm like, hey, no, no. Pick your hands up. Look at me. You keep your eyes on your opponent. You know, you're like, you didn't even see me, you know? And so little things like that, you know, making them be more on their toes, Bounce, move in, out, you know? And so, like, I got a couple fighters, like, he fights like a black guy, you know? Like, I got a lot of little homies like that teach them to fight.
B
Everyone's taught differently, depending on where you're from. Like, you know, you got to be around it.
A
You got to be around the soul.
B
You got the Cuban boxing system, the Russian boxing system. But then you train someone in Philly, they look way different.
A
You got the Philly.
B
Yeah, the Philly shell. You got Bernard Hopkins boots coming out of there, you know, Don't.
A
You get around it. You get around swag. You're getting that swag. You get the soul. Like, so I moved with Sean Strickland when we were younger. Sean Strickland got that from us. And now he started doing. He hung around with the black guys.
B
Yeah.
A
So now he got a little. You know what I mean? Yes. He Creole here. He got Creole.
B
I think he grew up.
A
It's gonna be bad.
B
That's my guy. It's gonna be good now, you know?
A
Yeah, it's gonna be good now.
B
No, he said he turned it around. Yeah, I love him, but. Yeah, he's not. We squared up, and. Yeah, you can see it.
A
Damn, bro. And it's like. But he got drunk on Father's Day. That's my thing is, like, don't get me wrong, when I saw the actual video, I was like, all right. Whoa. That was a little out of line because I didn't know he's at an airport.
B
Yeah.
A
I thought he was at home. And the wife called because he got a little too tipsy on Father's Day.
B
Me too.
A
At 6pm you know, not like, he was up at 2am Going crazy. So I was like, wow. When I saw the video, I'm like, all right. He was getting a little crazy. Yeesh. You maybe have to put him in jail for the night. Yeah.
B
You know, give a little cool down. But he's been sober since. So I think it was like a blessing in disguise.
A
Yeah, hopefully. I think he's just like the fighter thing, bro. Sometimes that demon, dealing with that. What do you do with yourself now? Like, I think fighting is a saving grace for a lot of us. Fighting keeps me sober, keeps me clear minded, saves me getting, brings me closer to God. And so I feel like that's my, like, rebirth and stuff. I get closer to God, I get to praying more, I get more focused on my family and, and. And loving people and. And that's what our saving grace is. Now that you lose that, how you get your connection with God now how do you get your. That feeling again when you getting lost in the world?
B
And he was hinting at it, he said, I have these demons, you know, they might creep back up now that I'm not fighting. Yeah, it's a real thing.
A
The demon of staying busy, the beam, the demon of feeling like someone, you know, everybody wants to feel important. You've been important most of your life. Now you're not so important.
B
Yeah. And it's hard to go from being a fighter to a podcaster or like, he tried to replace the. The fighting with the working out in the gym. That's not gonna hit the same.
A
Your name ain't in the. In the pages and people aren't talking about juice. Yeah, it's totally different. I got some fighters, friends that were in the ufc, they got hurt and they were like, they. Once they lost, they were trying to milk this. Now where they went two or three years, no fights. Just saying they're a UFC fighter, you know what I'm saying? Because that. They don't want to lose that.
B
You know, that's their identity.
A
Yeah, a lot of people don't want to lose that feeling. Like, I'm someone now you got. It's like you got fired from your job.
B
Yeah. No, if I wasn't doing this, I don't know what I would tell people, you know, like, how do I introduce myself? I'm not a podcast. You don't have to retire from this, obviously. But if I did, I'd be.
A
Yeah, what if you just got banned for some. Some crazy.
B
Yeah, they banned everything.
A
Now you can't get any podcasting job.
B
Yeah, you know, I am, Zach. I'm. I don't know. I'd be lost.
A
You're gonna become a comedian or something.
B
I'd have to be a comedian or
A
I'd be in the airport, you know, it's gonna be bad. It's gonna Be bad.
B
That would be bad. So, no, it's. It's fully.
A
It's your way to release, you know, and trust me, I hate fighting, but it is my release. It is my something that I guess God gave me. For some reason, it picked me. He chose me to do this thing, and it's a part of me.
B
Have you thought about or talked to the UFC about your next fight?
A
Yeah, yeah, we're talking right now. We're working on it. Hopefully I can go in this little spot back here and 3:30, bring all my people. You know, I want to be 50 deep, and all my people run around LA.
B
But they were happy with the last fight, huh? Armin's gonna be there. They might have to separate you guys, right?
A
Yeah. You know? You know?
B
Or is that good now?
A
Hopefully it's good. Hopefully it's good. I think it's good, you know, I think we're on good pages. You know, he just tried to jump me, you know, I'm like, what? And so it's just weird because all. Because I said he. He's boring. I told you earlier, you make the cut or you don't. You're either cool or you're not cool. Everybody wants to be the cool kids. And so I guess he got hurt because he wasn't one of the cool kids. And I'm like, well, what does it matter? Like, I'm on a podcast. You asked me how I felt. Yeah. So it's like, they asked me how I felt about Armand. I was like, oh, he's boring. So from there, somebody asked me my opinion. Why does my opinion matter? I'm doing an interview. I'm on the phone, just talking on the phone like this. I see some feet. I look up, and it's him. And, like, six dudes. Oh, they got the cameras. Like, they're looking for the moment where they're f. To punk me. Oh, yeah, right. Get up. What's up? I'm like, all right, do something, you know? Do something. Oh, he didn't do nothing, man. You don't want to fight. You just want to just get the clip, you know? So I try to get. Give him a little back. Like, man, back up. You know, YouTube closed my face, and now you're talking. Just back up some, because you ain't gonna do nothing. So try to get him back up. Then when I try to back up, you gotta give me a little mush and mush my face like that. I'm like, okay. So security's right there. Everybody breaks us up, you know? There's women. It's all. There's little white guys and stuff. Totally, man. It's not the situation. I let it go. I go upstairs, I get a suit every fight. So I forgot I had to go get my suit. So I just told my homies, like, man, they tried to jump me up there, you know? So Mom's like, yeah. I'm like, man, I got to go get my suit. They're like, we're not letting you go by yourself now. So we go downstairs. Coincidentally, as we walking down, we walk by Arm's Crew. He's the only one that ain't there. I don't care. They already ran up on me once. That's. That's. I. That was the pass already. We got it cracking now that now it's fight time. They're running like roaches. One guy ran up this way, one guy ran up that way. I'm like. But when it was six of y' all and one of me, it looked like you guys wanted to fight anyways. We end up getting past that. The UFC calls us like, hey, you guys better stop. You guys will both get kicked off. You know, you guys are kicked out. Blah, blah. I'm like, man, I didn't start it. He started it. And they're like, man, I've been here for 10, 15 years. I had no problems with nobody. I don't start no problems, you know? And they're like, man, we know it. Wouldn't you. You know, but just calm it down. And so then I end up hitting him up later, like, bro, he end up fighting a ban. I'm like, you did a good job. I'm like, if your fights are dope, they're cool. I'm going say good. But if you're. If they're bad, they're bad. Don't shoot the messenger.
B
Yeah, just an opinion. Yeah. I don't know. Some guys get sensitive.
A
Fighters are super sensitive.
B
Yeah, both, I guess, boxing anim. Both get a little sensitive, but it's different.
A
If you're talking about somebody's work versus asking someone to spar, something like that. Those are two different lines, you know, because it's your work. So, like, when. When AB said, like, things, he started insulting me. I was like, I'll beat you up. Like, ma. Now it's about his work. It's like, oh, hitting deep in his heart. I felt it. He just stopped looking at me. He went down and started looking like. He wouldn't make eye contact with me no more.
B
He's like, this deep. Let Me avoid this one.
A
It hurt deep. Because why I hit that heart, it's like I'm gonna make your heart come out your chest. I'm telling you, you're gonna work like you never worked before. Madonna made you work. I'm gonna make you work just as hard, probably even harder. Because my work ethic is so hard, you know, I work like, I work hard.
B
Is that what you contribute your longevity to?
A
My longevity? I think it's skills pay the bills. First of all, like, how you guys fight. How. How do you fight? And for my style, personally, like, it's weird because it's like I got the highest amount of numbers in my division for the most amount of strikes, significant strikes, so. But then I have one of the best defenses also. But how could you be doing the most amount of striking? Because that means that somebody's getting hit, and that means that you have the same possibility of getting hit. So you're taking those chances of getting hit, but yet you don't have the. The defense. You have one of the lowest defenses, too, so it doesn't kind of go together, you know what I'm saying?
B
Well, your reflexes are so sharp. It's just tough to get hands on you. And that's what Bang found out.
A
Yeah. But I'm saying that styles, how you fight. Yeah. Like, boxers will fight a lot of time and try to explain to the boxers that they don't understand the gap. Exactly. Because you guys fight with just your hands, you think the gap is closer. And the average MMA fighter are used to kicking, so that we've gotten used to fighting longer. So from here is our fighting range for me, for an MMA fighter. But you think I couldn't hit you from here, you know, but once I and came across this gap, bow hit you like. Oh, yeah. Because we fight a different range, but a boxer got to get close to this table, and then we can start fighting each other. I'm like, nah, you would have got hit two or three times already before you get to your. To your gap, to your line. Yeah. And so that's the way my coach taught me to fight. And boxers have no idea and don't understand. Exactly. Most boxers not saying all, but most that I see, I'm like, you know, you're too close. You should have been fighting a long time ago. But we're gonna start seeing. I'm gonna be boxing more guys in the future. I guess I'm gonna go box some other dudes. They've been calling me out. I say my gym's Open all day, every day. I'm@Icon MMA. It's in Marino Valley. There's only one at 11am every day except for Sunday. Come grab me. I'm there.
B
But if Jake Paul says, I'm gonna send you the jet, come to Puerto
A
Rico, I wouldn't trust it. I might wake up. I thought I was going to Puerto Rico. I ended up in Istanbul, you know,
B
he sent your ass to Turkey.
A
You know, like what? Quit all that. Some hangover stuff. We're like, what the. You're in India somewhere. So now I don't trust that guy. You know, I would take my own plane, my own ride, my own drinks. You, I don't trust that guy. That guy's a fraud. He's got to always get one up. So you got to watch that guy. He's going to make sure he's got advantage over you. He's going to cheat, he's going to make sure he's bigger. No, re the same thing. The rehydration claw stuff, they play all these weird games instead of just being men and say, make the wait and I'll see you there.
B
Yeah, that's it.
A
That's it.
B
That's it. And I'm with you 100%. If I heard someone bring up a fight, they are coming up and the first thing they say is a rehydration clause. I'd be like, rehydration clause? Yeah. That's your thought.
A
You ain't talking about hooks. You're not talking about, you know, the manager job.
B
That's not the fighter job to worry about.
A
Punches, hooks.
B
Yeah.
A
Speed.
B
And if I was working with a fighter and I really wanted a tough guy, I wouldn't want them to mention that.
A
Like you said, he just talking like a man. Manager.
B
Yeah.
A
It's only me doing. Managing when you're not doing the fighting.
B
Yeah.
A
You know, the fighter is supposed to
B
be, hey, whatever you need, I'm there.
A
But that's my point, is what I'm trying to explain to Dean. I'm like, dean, you're not real. I can see through you. I'm a true killer. And I've been in the field for so many years that let me get around for two, three minutes and I can find out who the alpha males are in the room. I'll walk in a room with a room full of guys in the gym, not know anybody in the gym, and I'll go, okay, Kim, right there. He gonna be a killer. I think the guy in the green's gonna be a problem. And I should not be walking. I'll go in a corner and just go all by myself. And then that guy in the green will go, hey, you want to go? Oh, let's go, bro. All right, just. Just look at thought. All right, he's one. Let's see if the other guy come after I finish with him. He's lined up next like, oh, let's go. Yup. Those are the guys I predicted Bang was gonna hop in and r me. I saw the same thing. I saw like, ABC and Steam Stream. And whenever I would see it, if there was ever an aggression point where there was looking volatile, he would be right there, like, chest out, like. I'm like, he's the one. They're going to call him to come get me. I already knew it. I'm like, watch. So when he came, like, hey. I told him, like, oh, I knew it was going to be you. I knew you. I predicted all this. Now watch what I do to you. This is going to be really funny.
B
It's. Humans are primates, end of the day. So everyone has the same body language that tells you whether about it or not. There's like little things that you pick up on. You've been doing it for so long. Like, you know if they're real or not based on what they're doing with their hands and their feet and the look in their eyes.
A
Like. Like when a cop is integrating someone. They got already telltale signs. You do that you don't realize that you're doing. They've been here integrating so many people. You asked for water. Yeah. You asked for to go to restroom. Yeah, yeah, I know you're nervous. They know all this. They give you the food, try to get you relaxed. They should have a cigarette. They know the game already. Before I fought Jeremy Stevens, I had to do a podcast with Dominic Cruz. I too dumb. Let's wait till after the fight because I knew if I talk to him and talk for this long, just like this, you're going to tell on yourself. You know, you're gonna give him something that he's been in the war so long, he gonna go, okay, check him here, check him here. He doesn't do this. He said he did this. This means that he's not gonna be ready for this. You know, certain things that you shouldn't do as killers. Terence. Terence. I heard was at the. At the gambling tables at 12 o'clock midnight before our fight. And I'm over here laying a bed. I said, oh, he's gonna lose. He's gonna Lose certain things you don't do. And don't get me wrong, I heard Jon Jones was the animal, and he's a unicorn.
B
He's one in a billion.
A
He's a unicorn. Don't think that you can pull the same stuff. There's certain things you cannot do, certain things you cannot do. If you're doing it, you're. It's. It separates you from the top and just the average. It's that simple. Me and Terence hanging out after the fight. Bring them to my club. Got a little afterparty coming out. This guy pours a bottle like this, fills it up with. With alcohol all the way up to here, right? And then the rest of this would be a splash of juice. Yeah. It's like, all right, let's go. And. And. And one drink. One drink.
B
Wow.
A
Not known to sip. No. Nothing doing. One drink. And he's like, let's go. And I'm like, bro, I listen is loud as hell in the club, and I'm trying to explain this to him. I know he's not giving two about what I'm saying. He's so determined on making me do what he wants me to do right now. But I'm like, listen, brother, I love you, bro, but I'm trying to explain this to you. You do that, that puts you in a different class. That puts you in that class over there and not the elite, you know? Don't be doing that. Like, what is you. What is you doing? You know? No, no, no. Come on. No, no, Come on. You know, he must ask me about 10 times. I was like, listen, because I shared a battlefield with you. This is the one thing that you asking of me. All right, fine. Ah, this is gonna be a long night, you know, and we did it at one time. One time. But I would. You don't do stuff like that. Certain stuff you just don't do as a fighter, certain you didn't do as a comedian, as a podcaster. Whatever you do, there's certain rules. So you. Certain things you don't do 100.
B
And who would know it better than you? Not a lot of people have more experience than you in over 50 pro fights.
A
Like, you don't buy that don't matter because these boxers think they know because it's boxing. It's like, it don't matter, brother. They know more. It don't matter.
B
You got to go on this tour. Who's up next?
A
You'll see. You'll see. I don't. I don't want to make it seem like that cuz then it's going to
B
seem like the Bobby Green ass kicking tour is underway.
A
So yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm going to keep dropping more stuff, going to see more.
B
Whoever wants it can get it.
A
I'll stop by a couple more places. I got invited more, more boxers and if I'm cool with you, I'll go stop by and we'll film some boxing and do. We'll do a whole stream. But you're going to see this is just the beginning of my craziness. I was having fun with that one. Wait till you guys like that one late till you see what I can do the next one. You know, I'm like the fool.
B
Comment if you want smoke. King Green, pleasure having you on, brother. Thank you for anything else you want to talk about. Shout out anything you're working on. Anything that people should be tuned into.
A
Bro, I try to keep people out my business. Don't worry about my business.
B
All right. Don't worry about him.
A
Yeah, yeah. Mind your own business.
B
Like comment, I'm focus on my business.
A
You should be focused on yours.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
Building yourself. I'm focused on building myself. Mind your business, you know, and so I don't know, I ain't got nothing.
B
Stay out of Bobby's business, but get into our business.
A
There we go. I appreciate you, brother.
DOUBLE COVERAGE PODCAST
Episode: Bobby Green Declares War on Boxing After Dominating a 19–1 Boxer
Host: Mystic Zach
Guest: Bobby "King" Green
Date: August 7, 2026
This episode is centered on UFC veteran Bobby Green’s breakout moment in the ongoing MMA vs. boxing rivalry. Fresh off a viral sparring session where he dominated a 19–1 professional boxer ("Bang" Williams), Green passionately proclaims this as the "first shot" in a new "war" between the two sports. The conversation ranges from the specifics of the confrontation, to fighter mentality, cross-discipline challenges, and the broader cultural and business differences between MMA and boxing. Throughout the episode, both the host and Green engage with candor, humor, and a sharp eye for the realities behind combat sports.
On Crossing Over:
"Boxers is talking to me. They're calling me out. I'm like, man, I didn't even ask for none of this, but I take all fades. Gentlemen, if you keep calling and just come get me, come find me, and you can get your fade." (09:09)
On the Fight with Bang Williams:
“People think I was weight bullying Bang...but no, I never film any of my sparring. Don’t show it. But my homies know…I do the same thing at the gym.” (11:59)
On Being an Entertainer:
“For me, it's just like being confident in what I said, you know? And I don't want to be the guy. Be like, I told you so. Just another day at the office, bro. This is what I do…” (20:28)
On Boxing’s Culture:
“The rehydration claw stuff, they play all these weird games instead of just being men and say, make the wait and I'll see you there.” (35:57)
On Gym “Alpha” Energy:
“Let me get around for two, three minutes and I can find out who the alpha males are in the room…Those are the guys I predicted Bang was gonna hop in…Now watch what I do to you. This is gonna be really funny.” (38:08)
On Rhythm and Style:
“You get around it. You get around swag. You get the soul...I moved with Sean Strickland when we were younger. Sean Strickland got that from us. And now he started doing...He hung around with the black guys." (26:20)
Bobby Green uses this episode to plant a flag for MMA in the ongoing rivalry with boxing, blending bravado, humility, and real insight into what makes fighting—at any level—a test of character, discipline, and showmanship. He expresses both amusement and frustration at how MMA fighters are dismissed by the boxing world, affirming that his viral win is just the beginning. With a mix of candid personal philosophy, technical fight talk, and cultural commentary, this episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in the realities behind combat sports and the people who live them.
King Green’s parting words:
"Bro, I try to keep people out my business. Don't worry about my business." (42:28)
"Mind your own business...I'm focused on building myself. Mind your business, you know, and so I don't know, I ain't got nothing." (42:35)
