Members Reviews: Urban Science Fiction This book is awesome. Its a blend of science fiction and urban fiction. There is also a sense of awakening in these stories. The conscious audience will admire this work of art like I did. Thanks again Wenda for the entertaining work of art. Great read! This book is definitely for the conscious! I can tell that lot of research and thought went into writing this. Great read! Part sci-fi, part ? Interesting blend of sci-fi/fantasy in first part. I have no real idea why the second part was included. Tre stars at best. Brava! Ms. Wenda has a real gift for dialog! The collection starts very strongly, and maintains the high quality, with one slight dip (another read through will undoubtedly fix the errors in one of the middle tales). I'm neither an urban fiction nor a science fiction reader, in general, but I got into the stories here because they had a deeper purpose--to comment on humanity, and the possibly calamitous direction in which we're heading. (I'll note that Ms. Wenda switches to a less urban vibe depending on the characters). A lot of care is taken with sensory details, the true sign of a skilled writer. The pictures, which are great, are few, but it doesn't matter since our imaginations are stimulated by her descriptions. To sum up, the author is asking us to think, but not in a preachy way. My four star rating is just because of the story that needs further editing. Otherwise, I say, brava! Urban Sci-fi at it's best!!! This was my first urban sci-fi book to read but won't be the last. I really enjoyed this collection of paranormal writings. They reminded me of why I love sci-fi movies like Avatar and Star Wars. For this to be a first genre read for me, I'm very impressed. Biggest upset: editing. Grammar and spelling was slightly off throughout novel. While I know the editing process is tedious and most authors think their keen eyes catches every mistake, readers alike are being turned off with this repetition of non edited books. This should've been 5 stars but I can't overlook the obvious mistakes that need correction. I also would like to a see a different cover, one with more illustrations and color. The cover provided was pretty bland. I also would love total character illustration pictures in their Negus state. The illustrations included needed to be more vivid to depict story. I loved to visually imagine being on Negus and going through the birth canal over and over. I'm impressed by the inclusion of the recent attempt to start a race war and mistreatment by other races. I can't thank you enough for making MELANINS the name of an entire species. That sounds so much better than 'blacks' & 'African Americans'. That's how I'll describe myself and my race from this point forward. I didn't have any negatives except that the book needs an editor or proofreader oversight. I can't wait for the next book so I know how this ends.

She is one of my favorite writers and I'm looking forward to the next book Awesome book I love this book the only thing I disliked was when Dylan got killed I thought he was a stand up kind of guy unlike all the other men Kira had. I would recommend anyone to read this book itâs exciting it keeps you wanting to read more. Great read I couldn't put the book down! Kiki swindon has done it yet again, it was sad that Dylan had to die.

Great characters Brooklyn's Song by Sydney Arrison has a great story with strong characters. The story is your normal cop falls for victim storyline but why makes this one better than most is the characters. You really get to like them and want them to be happy. As far as an audible goes, the narrator had it tough with many different voices. Her main character Voice was good but the She lost me in some of the other characters. I can only imagine how tough that is to do many voices. I would however definitely listen to another audio again by this writer. Great book! Any additional comments? It was refreshing to see Brooklyn Pierce portrayed as an educated, moral woman. Song was so sexy and Mattice was the comic relief and overall it was a fun suspenseful and romantic book. A book with a little of everything! I love books that have good story lines. This is my first Sydney Arrison book, and it gave me a little of everything I love. Brooklyn is the daughter of the governor. After an attempt on the governor's life, Brooklyn meets detective Song Kai. And from there we have an incredible story. From the whodunnit of the murder attempt to the budding love between Brooklyn and Song, I was drawn in. There are a few twists and turns throughout the book, some angst and sadness from the past to overcome and abundant passion with the two main characters. I have to say that the character of Mattice, Song's partner really brought a lot of humor to the story as well. What a great friend who just tells it like it is! Arrison knows how to weave all the different parts together for a wonderful story. Rose Lane did an beautiful job performing this book. She has a rich, warm voice giving the story the emotion necessary to draw you in. Loved the narration! Great book bad narrator.. The plot for this book was actually pretty good. However the narrator was drier than the Sahara. Her voice was really monotone and actually put me to sleep early on in the book. Somehow I managed to press on once I woke up from my nap. I would say definitely buy the book. However, I would not say listen to the book on Audible. Bad narration can really ruin the whole experience.

However there was quite a few typos but I was able to see the Author potential through it all. Ryan need to learn to keep his third leg in his pants because he was dealing with someone who was very disturbed and delusional. Taylor was very fond of her man but had no idea of what he was really doing behind her back. Kyra had some serious issue's and had mistaken lust for love. I'm actually looking forward to read part two because I want to since how Ryan dig himself out of the hole he has made, if Kyra will get some sense knocked into her, and Taylor will deal with the betrayal of two people she loves. Ok book This book was just OK for me. I will not be buying the second book. The author wrote in her acknowledgements that she thanked someone for proofreading the book but I couldn't tell that it was proofread. There were way too many grammatical errors for me to spend money on Part 2. I also felt that the story wasn't very original and I've read the storyline in this book a hundred times before. Overall, I'm giving it 2 stars because it was free and it was something to read because I was bored Great read This book is off the chain Karia is crazy & Ryan needs to keep his 3rd leg n his pants I hope no harm comes to the bby becuz of Ryan's cheating can't wait to read part2 to find out the out come So gone!! Kyra is one sick woman!! The things she done, I'm afraid for the baby more than anything!! Running from D brought Moe challenges, BUT GOD!! it was good. Few twists and turns here and there I read it. It could have been more. Overall, it was good. Few twists and turns here and there, but overall it was pretty ok. It's a good book, just seems like it was rushed or something. There were a lot of grammatical errors that kind of threw me off. It ended in a cliffhanger, but I don't think I'll read the 2nd part.

Members Reviews: I should sue the author for wasting 3 hours I'm not sure how this made it to paper. poorly written and utterly ridiculous! This is one of the worst books I've read. it should have ended with the 1st book. the author should be embarrassed to say he/she wrote it and as terrible as the narrator was she shouldn't have even read it! The Worst Book I've Ever read!! You can't possibly be serious. The first book was actually decent which is why I didn't hesitate to purchase this one. I am dumbfounded that this even made it to stores.

Members Reviews: underdeveloped heist tale I listened to the audible version of this book. This tale didn't hold my attention after the first hour. I put it down and went on to something else. A few months late, I picked it up and finished it today. And the last 45 minutes or so were the best part of the book. I think it was just simply underdeveloped in all areas. The summary was good and I had high hopes for the book. It just didn't live up to what was suggested in the summary.
