Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. Driving Impact Collective, this is Kathleen, your podcast host. Today I wanted to send a couple of words of encouragement because you cannot choose where you're born, the conditions, the context. And this is a short, very short clip from our friends B. Scott Taylor. And he talks about growing up without a dad and why it's important. I think we don't choose where we're born. We don't choose the conditions or upbringing. We don't choose sometimes some of our experiences, but sometimes you make the best out of it. And that's just a little word of inspiration as we're walking towards the weekend. Make the best with what you have. Okay, before I get started, I have an ask. We've had 95,000 downloads in the past 30 days, but only 3% of you follow us, which would help grow our community of growth oriented kindred souls who are eager to drive impact in their and their career. Give us a follow on Spotify, Apple, or any platform that you use to listen to your podcast. My personal mission is to be able to bring the light that people need, the light in this world. And I'm putting my 20 year career at your service. So thank you.

Yeah, I mean, the struggle was I didn't really understand what it was like back then when you don't have a dad. It's really weird. Like now, you know, lots of people are divorced. There are a lot of single parents, parents that never got married, that have kids. And back then there was a stigma attached to it that I didn't realize until later when I was probably 12 or 13. But the town, you know, my mother didn't really have a choice and I was really fortunate. It creates a whole different independence and confidence that you have that I think we lose a lot with parents that are very much in their, their children's lives and don't want them to fail. I mean, I would ride my bike and I would, you know, crash and like smack my head and bleed. And you'd be alone and I'd. Yeah, and then I'd go home and my mother, you know, would eventually come home and she'd say, what happened? But I mean, I crashed, I lived, I wiped myself off, you know, and these are things that really put you in a position to take risks.
