Hello, hello, hello, hello. Driving Impact Collective, this is Kathleen, and I want to say hello, but I also want to introduce the next little snippet because recently I've been thinking a lot about the last mega episode that we did with Shankar Desai, the founder of Pebble AI and Ra Goddess, which is a sole coach and the author of the book Intentional Ambition. And I don't know how and why. I think we started taking some questions and I started talking about the first moments that I had an inkling that I wanted to live on a beach and be in the sun. And at the time, I wanted to be a surfer. And I think what's important here is the first inklings happened between 2006 and 2008 of wanting to be living on a beach. And it was in the Caribbean.
B
And I actually moved to LA, where.
A
I live now, where we are and into 2019, after spending five years in San Francisco. And why I'm talking about this is because I think it's so important. Sometimes we have. We want everything. We live in this culture of instantaneity, and we want everything to happen so quickly and so fast. But the reality is that some dreams have to simmer and you have to sit on those dreams and they have to take shape. And you have to also be personally ready and have this energy and energetic vibration, but also taking all the actions to make that dream a reality. And listening to this, I remember vividly, it was very surprising to me that I wanted to be an entrepreneur working from a place where there was a beach and I thought it would be the Caribbean, but it ended up to be Los Angeles for now. And how I mentioned the vision and then I let it go. And then a lot of different things happened. At the time, I was a product manager working at Flickr and then Yahoo, and so many things that happened on that year. I'm not even going to triple down there. I had a real estate crash that had put me in a place where I was looking for my son. I was looking for my joy. And sometimes those traumatic events are a shakeup that you need to be able to create an alternate. An alternate dream and going on the beach more often, going surfing more often, and finding your joy more often. And I wanted to just reflect on that moment because I wanted to share with you that if you have a dream, if there's something that you're very passionate about and you have this urgency and this passion for it, hold on to that dream, take the inspired action and let it go. For me, it was an 11 year journey to make that dream a reality. And that episode reminded me of, like 11 years ago. And it's beautiful because I didn't even remember that moment. But now I realize that the dream has unfolded and I'm older, I'm more mature. And sometimes you just have to let your dreams simmer and take the actions and trust that it's going to happen because you're walking in one direction. It's. You're walking in the direction of the sun. So hope you love this excerpt where I'm reflecting. It's more of a reflecting with somebody listening to me as I'm babbling and super excited to be here again. And thank you for listening. Bye.

Welcome to Driving Impact. Thank you so much for sharing because it's so, so important and for people to find their truth. And like, I like to call it the true north. It takes time because I feel like sometimes you have glimpses of the life you want to live. And for me personally, I remember I was a product manager back in 2006. I lived in Montreal. I would go surfing in the Dominican Republic and for two weeks and working from the beach and I was like, oh, that's my dream. I want to work from the beach and. And be on my computer. I knew that the inklings of the life I wanted to live. And then I would go back to Montreal in winter and be like, minus 40.
A
And it's like.
B
And then it was not the Dominican Republic. Finally it's San Francisco and then la.
A
Where I live now.
B
So I found a middle ground. But it took years and years and years of, like, having this vision and figuring out and making it happen, and then working in tech and then finding this hybrid life.
