Duke football embarks on their ACC part of the schedule this weekend with a homecoming matchup against nearby NC State, a team that is 3-0 which has been... well... the polar opposite of Duke so far this year when it comes to playing mistake-free. The DBR Podcast crew has a preview of the big game. After the break, Jason and Donald dive into some basketball recruiting news... or rather the lack of news. They explain why Jon Scheyer and company (and most everyone else) have not landed any prized player from the high school senior class. Should you be worried about Duke's reputation as a recruiting juggernaut? Spoiler alert -- NO! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The back half of this episode will be a lot more fun than the front... The Duke Basketball Roundup gang (Jason and Scott this week) begin by diving into the Duke football loss to Tulane. Unlike the Illinois game, this one didn't feel like Duke got robbed as much as it did that Duke just didn't come to play. But, after the break the guys have some fun breaking down some notes on the Duke hoops team courtesy an article published this week by Brendan Marks of The Athletic. Jon Scheyer has some really interesting combinations to play with this upcoming season. Is the Blue-White game really less than 3 weeks away?!?! Learn more about your ad choices. They are calling this one of the biggest home games in Arkansas basketball history. That's what happens when Duke comes to town. The Blue Devils will be playing the Razorbacks at Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday night as part of the first-ever ACC-SEC Challenge and the Duke Basketball Roundup is here to give you all you need to know about what to expect. For Arkansas, the biggest question may be the health of their star player Trevon Mark, who went down with a nasty back injury in a game against UNC last week. He's the leader of a deep and very experienced Razorback club that has struggled thus far in big games and probably sees Duke as an opportunity to right the ship and restore their tarnished reputation this season. And, after the break, the podcast guys look ahead to the rest of the Challenge. There are some really interesting games that could show whether some ACC teams are contenders of pretenders this year. The DBR Podcast is excited for the NCAA Tournament, and on Bites Episode 21, we welcome back Duke great and current ACC Network analyst Carlos Boozer to discuss the NCAA Tournament! Boozer has seen more ACC basketball than just about anyone, so we discuss the teams that made the NCAA Tournament and why they collectively have a chance to once again show that the conference deserves more respect than it’s getting. We of course talk about how far Duke can go and the key to success for the Blue Devils. We then discuss his partnership with the DraftKings Zero Right Bracket Challenge presented by Pepsi Zero Sugar, where picking the wrong teams could get you some serious cash! Most of us are already picking the wrong teams in the bracket, and in this bracket those same wrong picks can make you a winner. We also touch a bit on Boozer’s thoughts on Jon Scheyer and the job he’s done for Duke this year. Boozer is also the proud father of two twins - Cameron and Cayden - who are two of the best high school sophomores in the country. He talks to us about what it’s been like to witness their recruiting frenzy and how they may decide on where they end up going to college. We end our time with Boozer by asking for his Final Four picks and his champion, then react to Boozer’s interview and give our favorite moments. The DBR Podcast will be back tomorrow evening to preview our opening game in the NCAA Tournament against Oral Roberts. Get those brackets in! Learn more about your ad choices.
