All right, guys, welcome back.
Guest Host
Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Special episode. We got family in the building.
Guest Host
Family is here.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Got us up early in the morning. Very rare.
Guest Host
You couldn't tell by the looks on their faces though.
Lex
Thank you.
Dre
Thanks.
Guest Host
They look spry and ready to go.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah, I look ready for sure. I'm not really. I'm not really a morning person.
Lex
Really?
Dre
I thought y' all were. That's why we did this so early. I was like, why do they do this? I know they mean business.
Guest Host
Nah, because, you know, a part of it was, I heard that you guys show up late and I'm like, they've never shown up late for anything we've done. Let's just put them to the test. And y' all came here right on time.
Dre
Nobody told you that? What? Nobody told you that. We are very punctual.
Guest Host
You are. Obviously. You are.
Dre
You're doing A little. A little better.
Guest Host
Slightly getting better. Well, we debunked the rumor.
Dre
Okay.
Guest Host
Period. We here on time.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So Dre and Lex from Poor Minds, but now they have a new show called Travel Queens on bet. Correct.
Lex
It's on. Bet her.
Dre
Bet her.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Bet her. Okay, so we gonna talk about, you know, all you guys have done as far as in the podcast space and touring and now with the new deal and everything that you got going on. Congratulations. Building a community. So, yeah, first and foremost, congratulations.
Dre
Thank you.
Guest Host
Congratulations is in order. That's a fact. When we first heard the news of it, the first thing, I was just like, I gotta congratulate y' all both. Cause we've watched this. I mean, we've been around each other for a while, and we've watched the growth from the apartment floor to the little room with the black wall to the studio to now y' all got a show on bet. It's incredible. So congratulations. Definitely in order.
Dre
I forgot you did hit us in the group chat.
Guest Host
That's a fact.
Lex
Yes, you did.
Dre
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's kind of like. It's surreal. You know what I'm saying? Like you said, coming from the apart and stuff, and I always knew we had a vision of what we wanted to do, but honestly, to have the opportunity to do a show that has, like, kind of honestly, nothing to do with Poor Minds, you know, every time we see podcasters get a show, which is still a hard feat to do, it's always like, a branch off of the podcast that they have.
Lex
Right.
Dre
So the fact that they trusted us with such a huge project that has absolutely nothing to do with potting is, like, crazy.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So talk about. All right, so for the audience that may not be totally familiar, talk about, let's go through the journey. So you guys are friends from Texas, and then you started a show, right? Poor Minds. Then you got with the 85 south crew, and that kind of just expanded the reach.
Lex
Right, right.
Earn Your Leisure Host
And you guys talk about all kinds of different topics that are relevant to women.
Dre
Yeah, Right.
Earn Your Leisure Host
And you've built a tremendous fan base, and you've reached a point where you start to take on things outside of the normal, what people might normally think of you of. So how does a travel show for BET come into place?
Lex
Okay, so basically, one of our friends, she actually does a lot of contract work with bet. And the production company, Cocoa Butter, had been reaching out to us, telling us that they wanted us to. They wanted to consider us for a travel show. So it was like, us and maybe, like, two other bestie friend groups that they were considering, so we had to audition for it. We did the audition maybe a week later or two weeks later, we found out that we got it. And then we ended up starting. I think we started recording, what, a month after that, and we recorded the whole show in two weeks. So the production company reached out to us, and then we started getting in communication with them in bet.
Dre
Yeah.
Guest Host
Yeah. How. How does that feel to do something that's so. You know, it's interesting. Like, people watch you on your show, right. And they think that's all you are.
Dre
Right.
Guest Host
But y' all been friends for a long time. Y' all been traveling for a long time. How does it feel to show people another side of what. Who Dre and Lex really are?
Dre
It's really cool because, like, she said, it was kind of like they auditioned other people, but they were like, we really wanted y' all. Like, we see the chemistry that y' all have on Poor Minds. And I think with. We have. I like to call Poor Minds like a lifestyle podcast because we talk about so much and. But I mean, y' all know how it is when you're in the podcasting world. People tend to look at you like a one trick pony. Like, okay, they're good at the gender war stuff, and they can talk about sex or they can talk about music, but that's all that. So, like, I said, the fact that they were like, oh, they be outside. Like, we travel. For real. For real. Like, we've been so many places together. Like, we went to London last year and we were working out there. We went out there for like a week and a half. And, I mean, we've been to Turks together. We've been to Jamaica.
Lex
Ibiza.
Dre
Ibiza. Like, we really be traveling together. So it's like, it was cool to know that they really kind of did their research on us. Cause they were like, okay, they're perfect. They're best friends and they travel. And I think me and Draya are so, like, layered. There's so much to us. It really. We really.
Guest Host
I like that word. I like the word.
Dre
I think that a lot of times they see us and they just think, oh, that's all they can do. So the fact that you can literally. Cause obviously my nephews can't watch poor moms, but they can watch travel queens. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So I love the fact that, like, my nephews can watch me now. You know what I'm saying? Younger girls, like, high school, can watch travel queens, and they can be motivated and, you know, see the possibilities of what you can do in this space.
Lex
Yeah, and I think it just gives more insight to our real life friendship too, because the cameras are there, but we're really just being ourselves versus On Poor Minds. I mean, we're being ourselves on there as well. But these are topics that we've already planned to talk about. It's just more structured, I feel, like, versus a reality TV show. It's like, no, we just being ourselves and the cameras are following us around.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So how many. How many cities are you going to like? Is it like a 10 episode thing? Like, how does that work, though?
Lex
So this first season actually was four episodes. So we went to Cartagena, we went to Mexico City, Charleston, and then we went to Key West. And so hopefully, fingers crossed, we get a second season. It's probably gonna be like 10, 12 episodes.
Dre
Yeah. So it's. You know how the pilots. Let's see if y' all really got a fan base. But I think it's doing pretty well. Like, we have engaging with our audience and stuff, and the feedback has been amazing. Like, I was really nervous because I didn't know how they were gonna edit it. Because honestly, we are watching it on Wednesdays with them. Like, we haven't seen, like, when we were on the flight out here, we were on the plane watching it. So I didn't know how they were gonna edit it. Cause a lot of times you see a show and you don't like somebody and then they do the reunion or something, they're like, they didn't show this, they didn't show that. But they edited so well, like, and really captured our personality.
Guest Host
So how involved in the process were you guys in terms of naming the show, picking the locations? Cause even I've been pronouncing Cartagena the wrong way the entire time I'm hearing you pronounce it. I'm like, oh, that's how it's pronounced. So did they have those cities picked out for you already or did you guys have input?
Earn Your Leisure Host
It's Cartagena, right?
Dre
I was on the show saying it wrong.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Cartagena is Fat Joe's last name, yo.
Guest Host
That's what I'm saying.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Cartagena.
Guest Host
I grow up, you listen to Fat Joe. Cartagena, Cartagena, Don Callina. And I'm like, oh. And I'm hearing you. I'm like, yo, I've been saying it wrong the whole time.
Dre
I'm country. I be saying everything wrong. So I was there. It was like, people in the comments, like, dang, y' all could have taught her how to say the word before she went out there, right?
Lex
I was like, y' all, okay, we learn.
Guest Host
That's make. That makes it authentic.
Dre
Yeah.
Lex
But, yeah, we really weren't involved in the process too much. They already had the CDs picked out, and they were just like, okay, this is where y' all going?
Dre
Yeah, it was.
Lex
But we're hoping for, like I said, the second season and upcoming seasons that we could be more involved in the process. Cuz we actually want to do, like, you know, travel. Queens, Africa, travel Queens, Europe, and actually be in different locations each season.
Guest Host
Yeah. I think what's dope about is that each city and there's a travel component to it, but there's an educational component to it. And I was watching the Charleston episode, and it felt like we're learning with the audience, but you. Y' all learning too. So how was that? Right? Were you super intentional about that? Did the producers say, like, we have this piece? What do you guys think? Yeah, like, how was that for y' all?
Dre
Well, these places we've never been before. The only place that I had been was Key West. So a lot of the stuff, they were like, okay, well, how do y' all feel about this? Well, this is what we're doing. And we were really curious. Like, we had never been to Charleston. I didn't know Charleston was like that at all. So honestly, they were like, okay, y' all are gonna go to the plantation. And all the questions that we were asking, like, those were questions that we really had.
Guest Host
Right, right, right.
Dre
So it was kind of like a mixture of both. They would just, like, throw us in this situation. And they were like, okay, the cameras are rolling. Do y' all thing. So they kind of really let us have the creative freedom when it came to asking questions. Conversations me and her were having with each other, that was really all us. But as far as, like, the locations and stuff we were doing, it was. They. They picked all the stuff. Cause we probably would have had them in the strip club.
Lex
But I was. But I was excited. Cause, like, she said she had been to Key west before. I had never even been to Key West. I hadn't been to any of those places before. I had been to Columbia, but I went to Med A, not Cardina. So.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So what? Okay, so how does this work as far as, like, the business side? Like, was there certain points that you had to negotiate in dealing with, like, a major television network? Like, it's a lot different than having, like, an independent type of vibe on a podcast.
Dre
Yeah, this was our first time doing anything with, like, a major network like this, especially, like, bet. So, yeah, it was. It was things that we had to work out. But honestly, we are so not, like, it's a blessing that we're in the position that we make a lot of money with poor minds. So we're able to go in these situations and, like, be fair, we're not like, oh, yeah, we finna run it up and. Cause we understand it's the first season and it's more so about, like, the exposure, what we can do. I mean, we got paid, you know, well, of course, but we had our lawyers come in. It worked out amazing. Um, so I think that that's more important in this space is, like, making good connections, being easy to work with, because they could have picked up anybody from the travel channel that's been doing stuff like this. So working out those deal points, I mean, obviously we're signed to 85, so Chad and the team, Carlos and all them, they've done TV and stuff before, so they had a great lawyer. So it was a really smooth transition because everything happened so quick. So it was like, we kind of got the contract. They were like, okay, let's fix this and fix that. And they were really easy with giving us, you know, everything that we wanted. So it was actually a really, really smooth transition. Shout out to our lawyer, Josh. He did the same. Hey, Josh.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So how do you. You said, how do podcasters make money? Like, you. You guys have a successful podcast. How do they. I always wondered that. I never really knew. How do.
Lex
Oh, you know, right. He want to act like he don't know.
Guest Host
Please enlighten us. How do podcasts make more newcomers?
Earn Your Leisure Host
This is earn. This is earn your leisure. So we gotta let, you know, we.
Lex
Gotta let the people know. So, I mean, we make money a few different ways. We make money, obviously, from ad revenue. We make streams on YouTube. We also have a Patreon. We make money with Patreon. We used to sell merch, but we don't really sell merch as much anymore. But that used to be a stream of income that we had. And I'm trying to think of my live shows. Live shows, but we haven't toured in, like, two years.
Dre
Yeah, like hosting events, stuff like that.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Do you have products?
Lex
I have a cosmetics business, but we don't have anything with poor minds together currently. But we used to sell hoodies and wrap tea.
Dre
We had, like, the little wine stoppers and stuff like that. Like, we really, like, ramp up, like the merch stuff whenever we were touring and things like. But like she said, those like our main sources of income. And we did an ebook as well. Cause I mean, we get so many questions of like, oh, how do I start a podcast? What do I need? But it wasn't just like the typical ebook, like, okay, get a camera. It was like I was legit giving actual websites that we use. Oh, you want to make some ad revenue? You can sign your podcast up with this audio, this source. So we did the course too.
Lex
So you can actually get the bundle. Like, if you're somebody who's more of a visual learner, you could watch the E Course. Or if you know you're somebody that needs to look at a book. We have the.
Guest Host
Yeah, look at y' all.
Dre
And then we stepped, like I said, we stepped into the hosting space. We did, you know, we did the Earn your leisure festival.
Lex
Invest Fest.
Dre
Invest Fest. We did ESSENCE Festival.
Lex
We did Essence.
Dre
Yeah, yeah.
Lex
BET Awards.
Dre
BET Awards. Yeah, we did the Media House last year. So I think, like I said, when you're getting into podcasting, the actual show, you can make a lot of revenue from. But the outside things that you do, outside of just sitting on the couch and being in front of the mic, it's like.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So it's using your influence to get money from. Answer.
Dre
Absolutely. I mean, even now we get money from Facebook. Tik Tok. It's like a lot of stuff.
Lex
That's what I was forgetting. Social media platforms.
Guest Host
There's a ticket going on on the streams y' all just named. That's about. We're about at 11.
Dre
Yeah, it's.
Guest Host
Multiple streams is important in, in the ad space. I know, like when people are starting the podcast, that's very important. Right. It's probably one of the first sources of income you're going to have based on your topic. Do you guys ever feel limited? Right. Because there's only. Sometimes there's only a certain level or certain category of ad client that's looking to put things on your show. Right. Whereas if you have more of a broad based topic, it leaves it open for a lot more categories. Have you guys ever felt that way when it comes to the ad spends?
Lex
You know what? No, not really, to be honest, like, I feel like a lot of different companies want to work with us. Like, we've never really had that issue. But we do know some people in the podcasting space that have told us that they've had that issue because they might have like a sex based podcast. But we've never really had that.
Dre
Sometimes we get asked, I'm like, they want to work with us.
Lex
Yeah. It'll be the most random.
Dre
It'll be so random.
Lex
Like manscape.
Dre
Yeah. Like manscaping. Like all that stuff. Like, it'll be like. But it works.
Lex
Yeah.
Dre
Like if they renew the contract, I'm like, oh, y' all must be clicking. Bluechew, bluechew. And I'm like, do men really watch the show?
Lex
Right.
Dre
Women are buying it for their men.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah. I don't think y' all will be limited because you're not, like you said, you're not a sex based podcast.
Dre
Like we have a, a segment, but it's not the whole entire show. You know, I think people think that.
Lex
Sometimes just because of the clips that are cut from the show be like the sex topic. So then before people actually come and watch the show, I think they assume that it's a sex based show.
Guest Host
Yeah. Or it's a female based show. Men might not be really watching, but that could actually be the opposite.
Lex
Right.
Dre
And I think it's really crazy with these ad companies as well because like you said, you just never know what we're going to get or what people want to work with us. Because honestly, being that we're so heavily with the women crowd, we don't get a lot of beauty ads.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah.
Dre
Like a lot, like makeup stuff, like hair stuff. We really don't get a lot of stuff like that. We had one fashion company where like you could, you know, have like a subscription service to get clothes like one time. But most of the stuff is really like food, food stuff, mental health, mental health stuff, stuff like that. You know what I mean? But I was like, yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So how have you guys been able to build your community? Cause you got like a loyal fan base, supporters, you have a name for them. Right.
Dre
Poor crew.
Lex
The poor crew.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Poor crew. P O U R. So how, how? Cause a lot of people create content, but then everybody doesn't have like a community. So like, what's some of the ways that you've able to cultivate and keep that community together?
Lex
I feel like one of the major ways, and we always say these, One of the major ways that we've been able to build such a large community is that for the first few years that we started doing Poor minds, we never had guests on the show because we always wanted to make sure we were building a fan base of people who wanted to see us every week. I feel like a lot of the time when people start off having Huge guests on their show weekly. When you don't. The week that you don't have a guest, the viewership falls off. So we wanted to make sure we were cultivating a space and a community of people that no matter who we had on the show, they still gonna watch. So I feel like that was a major key.
Dre
And another major one is we talk to our listeners. Like, everybody acts like they too good to take 20, 30 minutes and just respond to comments, you know, talk back to people. Like, I still do that. I engage with my listeners. Cause I just started a new YouTube channel called Love Lexp. So I do, like, Hot Topics on there, and I'm like, y' all hashtag Love Lexp, so we can talk about it together. You know what I'm saying? I think the engagement of feeling like, you know what? Lex and Dre are cool. I can talk to them. If I tweet, poor minds, they gonna tweet me back. So I think it's, like, not feeling like you are a celebrity, you know what I'm saying? And really engaging with your audience helps a lot.
Lex
We do that with Travel Queens, too. We live tweet every week on Twitter when Travel Queens is on. Talking to the listener.
Guest Host
I was wondering, right? That community that you built, it obviously helps when Travel Queens is about to debut and people are supporting it. But when you guys had the debut for it, there was just, like, an overwhelming sense of emotion that I watched from y' all. I was like, this is interesting. Talk about what that felt like in that moment, to watch yourself on a big screen and your fans and your family there with you.
Dre
Um, that was the first time we watched the episode. And I think, like, in that moment, it really just kind of, like, hit me. And I'm, like, looking at her, I'm like, we really did that. Because even while we were filming, it was like we were working, and it did. I think in that moment, it hit us because, honestly, getting the. The premiere party together, getting ready for everything, finding outfits and just hair, makeup, all this stuff, we didn't really get to sit. So in that moment, I was like, oh, my gosh. Like, we really have a TV show.
Guest Host
You was boohooing. Yeah, she was holding it together.
Lex
I was trying. But honestly, I feel like it hit me at that moment as well, because when we were filming the show, I definitely felt like, oh, my God, we're about to have a TV show. But that day, all of our friends being present, all of our family being present, seeing it on the big screen at the Venue. I was just like, wow.
Dre
Cause we didn't know how it was gonna look. I didn't know if it was gonna look like a little tubie bootleg. We didn't know what it was gonna look like. And I'm like, oh, they got us looking real, like professional, you know what I'm saying? I was looking like, you know Gordon Ramsay up there.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah, Gordon.
Guest Host
You know what I'm saying? So they said like the food spots were done really tastefully.
Dre
Yeah.
Guest Host
And I think I like the balance between. You can go to a five star restaurant, but it's the local spots sometimes that you gotta check when you travel. So there's a fine balance between the luxury spend and the everyday spend.
Dre
Yep.
Guest Host
Do you guys are like, as you're going through it and you're filming a show, are you realizing how this is gonna impact travel for girls that look like y' all?
Dre
Honestly, in that. And while we were doing it, I was like, yeah, because I was realizing, I'm like, why we ain't never came here? When we went to Mexico City, I'm like, girl, why we ain't never came here?
Lex
And it's not far. It's like a two hour flight from Atlant, right.
Dre
And then it's like, there's such a large expat community of black people out there. So I'm like, I know that we didn't know this. So I know the people watching the show didn't know this. I mean, people have already been tweeting us like, oh my gosh, I wanna go to Mexico City. I wanna go to Charleston. You know what I'm saying? So definitely 100%. Cause I feel like we don't travel enough, you know what I'm saying? We don't get out of our comfort zone. Because a lot of times, especially as women, black women, we're afraid. Cause we don't know what's safe for us and what's not. So I think showing people the different sides of these cities and like, you can go and have a good time. Whether you want to do a vacation or a girls trip. Like, you got to make it out the group chat and it's affordable.
Lex
Yeah.
Dre
Like a lot of the stuff that we did, it wasn't like you spending three bands a night and stuff. It was just like, you know, going to an R B night in Mexico City. You know what I'm saying?
Lex
Like, all black ride thing.
Dre
All black R B night. Like, you can do that in your city, but why not go do it in Mexico City?
Guest Host
Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So, like, all right, Black women. Black women make up a lot of travelers. It's a whole. There's groups that's dedicated for travel for black women, Travel noir, all that type stuff. Dubai. I know they put a major emphasis in targeting black women. So I'm assuming this is all related to why BET wanted to have you guys, because there's a lot of black women that already travel, right?
Dre
Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So, okay, do you feel that this highlights what is already being done as far as black women traveling? Or do you feel like this could potentially open people's ideas of who travelers are? Because sometimes, even though black women travel a lot, they may not be looked at as, like, a typical tourist.
Dre
Right.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So, like, do you have that level of thought process when you're traveling to these different countries that you're actually, like, representing a whole group of people?
Dre
Oh, go ahead, go ahead.
Lex
No, I was just gonna say, for sure. I definitely think it's gonna open people's eyes to the fact that black women are traveling a lot. And then, like you said, it can be budget friendly. Because I think sometimes, especially people looking at us, probably y' all too, when y' all travel, like, they're assuming, oh, okay, they make money. It's probably gonna be really expensive, the things that they're gonna be doing on vacation. But we were showing it could be a good balance. Like, yeah, okay, we gonna do the luxury stuff. We gonna have a little fun, spend a little money, but we can also go to this five star Michelin taco scene.
Dre
That's. And then another aspect of the show is it's, you know, she's doing, like, the leisure stuff. I'm doing, like, the adventurous stuff. So whatever type of traveler you are, even if you want to see the educational stuff, that stuff's in there too. It's something for everybody. But I do think that it is, like you said, it's a lot of black women who travel, but it's a lot who don't. You know what I'm saying? But it's an audience that has not been served. There's no travel show out there for black women, Taylor. And I won't even just say black women. I'll just say black people. People in general. Like, this is tailored for the black traveler. So I don't know. I think it has a different element. But, like, like we were talking about earlier, it kind of has that, like, simple. Y' all remember the show, the Simple Life with Nicole? So it kind of has that element of still being, like, fun and silly. So you get the entertainment aspect of us, but you can really watch it and get your itinerary. Like, if you watch the Mexico City episode, you have your whole itinerary for a weekend in Mexico City, for sure.
Lex
And I love that about the show too, because I think it also portrays black women in such a good light. Like these days, you have so many of the reality shows that are out now where the women are fighting. It's a lot of drama. It's a lot of mess. Our show is very light hearted. It's fun, and it's showing two black women traveling together, exploring the world, having a good time.
Guest Host
Yeah, yeah. There's an overwhelming theme, and I'm glad you kind of mentioned it earlier, Dre, you were like, travel, Queens, Africa. Because I feel as I watch the episodes, there's this overwhelming theme about going back to Africa. Right. Whether it was like, when you in Palenque, and I'm like, okay, you can see the roots there. When you went to Mexico City, it was like, we're going to the black. There's a very. There's an intentionality there, right? So talk about that because it's important, right? People, even when we were talking about rice and that being the currency that was being traded, most people think it was cotton. You're learning about it. But it all ties back to Africa, Right. Intentionality of having that in episodes.
Dre
I think, like I said, when I started traveling, I really started traveling kind of like in my early 30s, because I have a best friend who travels a lot, and she's like that type of traveler. When we go to these places where the black people at, right? How they tailored the show was like, let's go to these places and find black people. Let's get the story so everybody can understand. We all came from the same place. We just got dropped off at different locations. So it's very. It's much emphasized on really learning that we are more similar than we are different. Because I think in this world that we're living in today, everybody's having, you know, oh, you from here? I'm from here. You know, I'm Dominican. I know black. It's like everybody want to be separated, but it's like, no, we are really alike. And I love that about the show.
Lex
Because I'm like, oh, my God.
Dre
Y' all like our cousins. Yeah.
Lex
That was the amazing thing about going to Palinque, because I was gonna say that I think a lot of time in the Afro Latino community, they get this stigma that they don't want to be attached to being black. But in Palenque, they were very proud to be black. Like they had their pro black T shirts. They were saying, no, we feel very connected to our African roots. So I think it was a good thing to highlight.
Earn Your Leisure Host
It's an educational process like you said. Cartagena, that's where a lot of black people live in Colombia and people talk about Brazil a lot. But South America, there's more. South America is the second largest population of black people in the world as far as continent facts. So there was more slaves that came to South America than America. Brazil is the second largest concentration of black people outside of Africa in the world. So there's a lot of black people in Colombia and that people look at Colombia because it's not represented right. So when you see beauty pageants and it's very fair skinned people in Colombia and Brazil and even Mexico, but then you go to these countries and you realize that there's a lot of people that look like you. Similarities. But the media has not portrayed that. So everybody thinks that Colombia's only like Pablo Escobar and like Shakira and the cartel.
Dre
But when we went down there, like, I was so shocked. Like I said, I always tell this story. I said, look, the only time I went to Columbia when I get my bbl. So I was wrapped up in the hospital room, you know what I'm saying? I ain't know what was going on, but so this time I went, I was able to really travel around and see, right? So I'm like, they got, you know, the micro braids. They literally like really are looking like us too. Yeah, yeah.
Guest Host
You wondering why we paying 600 up here, right?
Dre
You know what I'm saying?
Earn Your Leisure Host
How'd they receive you guys not just in Columbia, but everywhere. Like, how is your reception? Of course you got TV cameras. So even if they don't know who you are, they know you somebody. They know you somebody. But like, how was that reception? Cause that's the thing too. Black people sometimes fearful to travel because they think that it's gonna be too much racism or it's gonna be uncomfortable. So how was your experiences traveling to these different places?
Lex
I think that they received us really well because like we were just saying a lot of the time people assume that it's not going to be a lot of black people in these spaces. But it was so many people. And I feel like obviously up until we started talking, you can't really tell that we. Not from here. Well, I mean, in the camera suit, after the cameras gave it away, but the reception was really good in all of the places that we went to. Oh.
Dre
I always say this to people when you're traveling. Black Americans, but just Americans in general. Because everybody knows the kind of reputation that we have when you travel. And you're genuinely, like, curious and you want to learn about the culture, and you are really trying to immerse yourself. They appreciate that. So the fact that we were there and we're not like, okay, do y' all speak English? We don't understand y' all. We, like, on our phone, we trying to speak.
Lex
I was trying to speak a little.
Dre
Spanish, you know what I'm saying?
Lex
We were struggling, and I knew seleta lindo word for word. They was shook.
Guest Host
Yes.
Dre
But they appreciate just seeing the F word.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Homo estas, you know, that's it.
Lex
Buenos noches.
Guest Host
You had that down pat, that movie. I was like, ah, she got that. Everything else, what you was trying to order. I said, nah, nah.
Lex
We need the accent that throw it off.
Dre
It's my accent with a Houston accent, speaking Spanish.
Lex
It's crazy.
Guest Host
But then I heard, like, a little Creole. Like, I'm like, wait, did she got that, too? Like, nah, right? You know, there's no.
Earn Your Leisure Host
There's criola in your Creole's a language?
Lex
Yeah, well, yeah. Yeah, it is. And so my family. My mom's family is actually from Louisiana. Yeah. From Lake Charles, I believe.
Guest Host
So I did hear it then, for sure.
Lex
Yeah. My grandfather is from Lake Charles.
Dre
Yeah.
Guest Host
So go ahead.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So, okay, I gotta ask you this. Cause, you know, on the guy side, so. All right, There's a thing called Passport bros. Oh, Lord.
Lex
Oh, God. Yeah, we know about that.
Guest Host
You ever heard of it?
Dre
Yeah, unfortunately. Unfortunately.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But what's not talked about a lot. Like, even Stella had a groove back. There is a certain thing of women go and they meet guys. You guys, you're in relationships.
Lex
You know, kind of every time we talk, she out.
Guest Host
It's complicated.
Earn Your Leisure Host
It's Rocky.
Guest Host
It's always complicated, y' all. Three years of complication.
Lex
I know.
Earn Your Leisure Host
It's Rocky football.
Lex
We need to get it together.
Dre
We getting it together this year.
Guest Host
That's on the next season.
Dre
Yeah.
Lex
Hopefully next time we be engaged.
Guest Host
Travel queens and kings.
Dre
Oh, my. Travel queens and kids.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Ok, so it's Rocky. Rocky Waters.
Dre
Right.
Earn Your Leisure Host
For both of you.
Dre
Well, I won't say Rocky Waters because I'm like. It's a good space. It's cool. I'm figuring it out. I'll say that.
Earn Your Leisure Host
What does that mean, though? Are you single or not?
Lex
I am.
Earn Your Leisure Host
You're single?
Lex
Yes. I feel like I'm single because.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Feel like I'm single or are you single? That's crazy. That's crazy.
Lex
You don't know because we still communicate. Like, we're still talking, but we're not in a relationship.
Dre
Right.
Lex
That's what it's.
Dre
Me too, son.
Guest Host
You traveling?
Lex
Yes.
Earn Your Leisure Host
You needed some time, huh?
Guest Host
Traveling queen.
Lex
I'm traveling queen. Yes.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So. So. All right, so being that you guys are single, guys try to talk to you. How is that aspect? Cause we never really got to the bottom of that. Like, we know there's a stigma of guys when they travel.
Dre
Yes.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Certain elements. But when women travel. Right. Is that something that you care about or you like, I'm just here just for a good time. Like, I don't want to talk to a guy or like, I'm not gonna lie.
Dre
It really depends where you go. Cause if I'm being quite honest, the girls, y' all might get mad at me, but, like, when I went to December and Lagos, oh, they was outside. The girls, like, they go there looking for women. Oh, I didn't go this year. I went a few years ago. But I know, like, you go out there, you might find you a Nigerian king.
Earn Your Leisure Host
You know what I'm saying? That's a part some people.
Guest Host
It's true.
Dre
Yeah.
Lex
The girls be traveling.
Dre
Girl definitely be traveling. Like, I mean, it's a real.
Earn Your Leisure Host
That's a real thing.
Lex
Yeah, it is.
Dre
Like, they be on them raps.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Like, girls. Girls trip.
Lex
They love to get them legs rubbed down with that clay.
Dre
It be more than that. Going down in the.
Earn Your Leisure Host
That's a fact.
Guest Host
Going down, going over, boy.
Dre
I think the Passport bros are more like vocal.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Stanley. Stanley rubbing them down with the Be going down.
Dre
But like, I think passport bros are more like open and it's more controversial their reasoning, cuz they're like, oh, we don't like American women anymore. We're going get something better.
Lex
Well, they be saying they be trying to go get something cheaper.
Dre
Yeah, something cheaper. And then they still don't want to pay this them.
Earn Your Leisure Host
They don't want to pay them.
Dre
No, the girls. The. The girls be on tik tok mad.
Lex
I mean, am I wrong? That's always been my perception of the Passport bros from what I see online. Like, they travel to these other countries a lot of time, like third world world countries, and try to find a wife because they're like, you know, they're going to be happy with a minimalistic lifestyle versus American women. They feel like they want too much.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah, too much expectations.
Lex
Too many expectations, too much money.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But then some that could be said too. For the girls that be like, look, I'm tired of dealing with primadonnas in America. I want a guy that they gonna, you know, chop a chop a treat.
Guest Host
Then they gonna love me.
Lex
Yeah, hold it down.
Earn Your Leisure Host
He can build the house by himself with his bare hands.
Guest Host
By himself, cut the lumber.
Dre
So, yeah, I think the women are just. Just like. We just more player per usual.
Guest Host
Per usual.
Dre
We keep our mouth shut. We go. They go out the country, get they men.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So in the. In the show, did guys try to talk to you in the show? Is that part of the show?
Dre
No, no, no, no, not at all. And I.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Did it happen?
Dre
No.
Lex
Cuz I feel like a lot of people were afraid to approach us a little bit just because of the camera. So it was a lot of people taking pictures of us, but nobody really walking up saying anything.
Guest Host
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dre
No, yeah. We didn't have that. But. But yeah. And then we had security too. But that's one thing I like about the show. It's not about none of that. It's not about. It's literally about us having a good time. It's not about we not talking about gender. None of that dating stuff. Are y' all doing 50? 50? A $200 date? It ain't none of that.
Lex
It's not.
Dre
You know what I'm saying? So it's completely different from the podcasting world.
Guest Host
I think it's interesting that you say almost in every episode like, it's safe. So it gives that message that, yo, it's safe to travel here, but you did have security. Are these places that frequent without security? And how would you feel if there was no cameras?
Earn Your Leisure Host
It.
Guest Host
Would this be something? Like, I. I feel like I could come back here and be chill.
Lex
So I said I would love to go back to Mexico City and really get to explore the city. Not actually filming. I would. I would absolutely go back to all of those places without security. Columbia?
Dre
Yeah. What was the street we were on in Columbia?
Lex
I can't remember what it was called, but it was really, really nice. It kind of reminded me of a Colombian Bourbon street, like, with the umbrellas in the.
Dre
Yeah, and it was like. It was. A lot of families out there. They turned up drinking, but you see a. And stuff. It was actually really, really cool. So I would definitely go back, you know, with just us, like a girl group, a big group of us.
Guest Host
So, yeah, watching it was. That was. I think that scene was the first time where I was like, oh, wait, like the cameras are here. Like, people are actually filming them. Cause y' all was dancing, right?
Lex
Yep.
Dre
You know, I shake.
Lex
We was cutting a mean rug.
Guest Host
I mean, music. Music is the universal language. Talk about how that brings cultures together, how that brings communities together. I know you brought your Texas twerk with you.
Dre
Definitely did. Definitely.
Guest Host
But I don't know how that infusion of music just brings us all together.
Dre
Yeah. So we actually took a dance class on the beach in Columbia, which was really fun. And it was like some of the dance moves weren't exactly similar, but it was like, okay, I know how to do this. I done did this in the club before. And I'm telling you, it's like that's what I kept saying. I was just so shocked at how similar we are. The music, you can hear certain things. I'm like, okay, this is something I would actually listen to. Like, I listen to Afrobeats. You can hear the influence of that in a lot of the music that they were listening to. So like I said with traveling, especially with this show. Cause I've traveled before. I'm just learning that how similar we are. Instead of like us always pointing out the differences. It's so much from the food in Charleston. I'm like, this reminds me of Cajun or Creole food.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Charleston, South Carolina.
Dre
Yes.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So you went to Charleston, South Carolina? Key West, Florida.
Lex
Yes.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Mexico and Colombia.
Lex
Yes.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So, okay, we talked about the international travel, but domestic travel. Cause that's something that a lot of people look over a lot of places in America. Like if you Miami, New York, you know, Chicago, Louisiana. But there's a lot of, like, hidden gems.
Dre
Oh, for sure.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So these are places that people might not usually go to.
Dre
Right.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So talk about that. Like, it's actually finding different places. Like those two places in particular. Like, how was your experience? Was there things to do? Was it fun? Like, how was that being like, most people just kind of look over that.
Lex
Yeah, for sure. Because I think that was me prior to going to Key west in Charleston. Like, those are two places that I just never thought to travel to. So it was definitely a lot to do there. And it's so funny because I go to Miami all the time and then Key west is right there. It's like, I think a two hour drive. And I never have thought to go to Key West. But it's beautiful. The water is beautiful. It's clear. I think, what is super close to Cuba. We went rafting. What else did we do there?
Dre
We went.
Lex
We did a drag show A drag.
Dre
Show, we ate a.
Lex
The nightlife is really dope. So I think that it. I love about travel queens that it's definitely going to highlight going to places that are literally almost in your backyard. And it's budget friendly. You can have a good time.
Dre
And I think the same thing about Charleston I have, I say this every interview we do. I have a friend in Charleston and he has been trying to get me to come out there forever. He's like, lex, you'll love it. Come have fun. We gonna do this. I'm like, I'm going to Charleston. And I had a ball. Like the water, people take nice boats out, the food was amazing. And I like to travel domestically anyway. Like, one of my favorite places to go is Phoenix. So I feel like there are a lot of little places in the States that are beautiful that you can really have a good time and you don't have to break the bank. You know what I mean? So I like the fact that they split the season up like, okay, we're gonna go some domestic places too. Cause people love to say, oh, if you in the States, that's not a vacation. If I'm not working and I gotta pack and spend a bag, it's a vacation.
Earn Your Leisure Host
And then also it's like, all right, America is geographically is bigger than Europe.
Dre
Yeah, right.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So if you look at it from that standpoint, that would be like somebody in that lives in France, if they go to even London, which is a two hour train ride, they're looking like that. Like that's a total different experience. They go to Brussels, if they go to Italy, America, I think it's just all gets lumped in as one thing.
Dre
Right.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But there's a bunch of different subcultures and so different. And a lot of, of activities that's important that you highlight that too. Because people think, all right, if we go to America, you just, you go to Miami, you gonna go to the beach, you're gonna go Collins and you go to Hollywood, you're gonna go shopping New York. But it's like you can do outdoor activities and white water rafting and skydiving in America. You don't gotta go outside the country to do that.
Lex
Right. And then even in Charleston, like the Geechee Gullah people that are there, we knew nothing about them. And it's a lot of Caribbean influence, African influence there. And it that we never knew about. The food is similar, like you said, to the food in Louisiana. The red rice was just like jambalaya. It's just so many different variations of cultures in the United States that I think we don't really pay attention to.
Dre
Yeah. I wouldn't actually mind doing a season like, here. Like us in New York. No. Traveling domestically.
Guest Host
Girl, come here.
Dre
No, but, yeah, but I. Like, we could do a whole season.
Lex
We've been here a lot.
Guest Host
You come here.
Dre
But I feel like there's so many, like, little pockets.
Lex
You'll be watching the show for real.
Guest Host
I'll support y' all. See, last thing I'm playing.
Dre
I know I do be saying, like, y' all don't be support for real. He done quoted it like, yes.
Lex
He letting us know, look, I be watching Trump. I be tuned in every Wednesday, every week.
Dre
But yeah.
Guest Host
Is there. Is there an activity that you were surprised that you actually enjoyed? Right? Like, there was some ones I'm on there. I'm like, there's no way I ever would have thought of that. What is something that you would like? We gotta do it. And then you actually were like, this is actually fun.
Dre
I'll say the lucha libre for me, I didn't think I was gonna. I was in there cutting up rate Mysterios out.
Lex
I didn't think I was gonna enjoy that either, but it was actually really fun. Especially when they had us in the ring doing the flip.
Dre
Yeah.
Lex
I didn't even know I could do that.
Dre
Yeah. Even watching them fight, I was like, oh, y' all are serious hardcore. I ain't seen a show that good since Renaissance.
Earn Your Leisure Host
I see Renaissance.
Dre
I was entertained. I really was. So that really surprised me. I was like, ooh, I don't know if that's my thing. I mean, I used to watch wrestling when I was little, but I was like, okay, I'm grown. But it was actually really fun.
Lex
Yeah, that was probably it for me. Cuz I feel like everything else that we did I've done before. So I knew I was going to enjoy it. Except for the massages on the beach, but who not going to enjoy that?
Dre
Yeah. And that was the shortest activity we did. That's crazy.
Earn Your Leisure Host
It was not going to much just enjoy that. Right, so. So where do you want to go in the future? You been to Ghana?
Lex
No, I've never been to Africa. She's been to Nigeria, but I haven't.
Guest Host
Got to have travel plans.
Earn Your Leisure Host
You should come to Ghana. We going. You should come with us.
Guest Host
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Answer this question. She said, aren't y' all building a house there? That's crazy. They don't support us like we support them. A house, a community.
Dre
Well, you know What I mean, a city. You know what I mean?
Guest Host
Those are three different things.
Dre
Well, in a house where I'm from in Orange, it got about six communities in it. You know what I'm saying? Y' all gotta excuse me. I'm a little country now.
Guest Host
Yeah. A house in that sense.
Dre
You know what I'm saying? A house in that sense, a home for, you know, for the community.
Guest Host
You see what I'm saying?
Dre
So how is that going?
Earn Your Leisure Host
Nah, it's doing. It's going good. Y' all should come out there when we come. We actually going in a couple weeks.
Dre
Okay, we should go. You know, I'm down for a little.
Lex
You always down for a trip.
Dre
How long y' all going for?
Earn Your Leisure Host
We gonna be there for, like, almost two weeks, seven days, something like that. Yeah.
Dre
Okay.
Lex
We gonna have to go for.
Dre
We love a good trip.
Guest Host
Now, the food.
Earn Your Leisure Host
The food. The food is amazing.
Guest Host
I know what you like.
Dre
You know? I love it. Okay, now, yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
If y' all, like, we gotta talk about food, too. Cause I feel like food and travel go hand in hand. But Ghana is one of these places always. It's like the entry to Africa. You should go to Ghana before you go to any other country, because it's very safe, laid back. You know, some other countries are a little bit more aggressive, but Ghana is super relaxed, chill.
Dre
Okay.
Earn Your Leisure Host
The food. And they got all kinds of different. So they got, like, Thai food, they got Chinese food, they got Italian food. They got the local cuisine and people very welcoming. They got beaches, they got. The nightlife is crazy, so. And we really know, like, the people. That's really the right people to know there. Yeah. So we can get whatever we want. I know.
Dre
That's right.
Guest Host
The number one food travel place.
Dre
Yeah.
Guest Host
For Ghana.
Dre
But I agree with what you said, like, Ghana being, like, the entry to. Because I'm not gonna lie, I always tell people, like, I went to Lagos with the guy I was dating at the time, and, you know, he's from there, lived there. But it's like, you cannot go to Lagos without being hosted by somebody.
Lex
Yeah.
Dre
I would never just be like, oh, girls, let's go to Lagos. Let's gather up the girls and go to Lagos. Because you really have to know how to navigate that city. It's very aggressive. Like, it's a culture shock. Like, I've never landed somewhere. And I was like, oh, Lord have mercy. What's going on? Jesus, help me.
Guest Host
Oh, yeah, child. Like, yeah, you landed in Lego stuff.
Dre
Yeah, for sure. So. But I always wanted to go to Ghana. Because I do hear that, like, girls go on trips together, and they can navigate it pretty easily.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Easily. And then they got the whole history thing, like, you know, if you're interested, like, the slave castles, dungeons, and all that. So that's a historical thing. So it's a really dope place.
Dre
Yeah.
Lex
That's crazy. Charleston had that, too. They had them Dungeons and girls. They did. They really did.
Dre
I'm just like. I forgot about.
Lex
I'm just trying to bridge the culture.
Dre
See, we more alike.
Guest Host
We tied it back to Africa.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So there's like. So there's, you know Jamestown, Virginia.
Lex
Yes, I've heard of it.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So there's a Jamestown in Ghana. So that's where they. So that it was a direct line.
Dre
Yeah.
Lex
Okay.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Jamestown, Ghana.
Dre
That's crazy. I never knew that.
Guest Host
Yeah. We've been to both.
Dre
I know. That's right.
Guest Host
Yeah. When you're standing in a crowd and you're looking out in the water, there's just a moment that you really. That your ancestors left here and never came back. Some of them didn't make it to Jamestown in Virginia. Will. What would be called Jamestown in Virginia. And then you realize from the other side, when you're in America looking out to the Atlantic, you realize how far you've come to be here. So it's definitely one of those moments that you definitely should experience. And have people filming you.
Dre
I see.
Lex
And have people filming us, y' all. Hopefully be tcd.
Dre
I know.
Guest Host
Where else would you guys go if you had a right. This is the wish list for season two. Here's where we want to go. What would be those places?
Lex
I really would love. And maybe this is just casting a wide net, but I really would love to go to Africa next season or Europe and just travel to different places. Like, go to, like, do an episode in Paris. Do an episode in London.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Been to Paris before?
Lex
I haven't been to Paris before.
Dre
I have. And I had a ball. Ooh. I was cutting up.
Lex
You did have a time.
Dre
Oh, Lord have mercy. Jesus. Jesus. I have to go. I went to Amsterdam, and when I tell you I had a time, I was in them coffee shops cutting up. So I feel like we have to go to Amsterdam.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Edibles.
Dre
Oh, what? I was in there cutting up. I had a.
Lex
Maybe Santorini. Have to go back to Ibiza.
Dre
Yeah. But the food that surprised me in Amsterdam, it was really, really good. It was, like, kind of the same thing, like a melting pot. Like, the Thai food was really good. The Italian food was really good, but same. We need to go To Greece. Cause I think people, I've never been to Greece personally, but I would like to show because everybody, when I see people talking about Greece, they're like, oh, should I go to Santorini or Mykonos? Like those are the two spots. But Santorini is like the honeymoon spot and Mykonos is like the party spot.
Lex
Right.
Dre
So I would love for us to kind of do like an episode like that. I want to really go to places that aren't just like just the beachy type of stuff too. Like, you know, I want to go to like niece and like show people like okay, we can do the fancy stuff, have a little wine, you know what I'm saying? So there's just a lot of places that I've already been that I'm like, oh my gosh, I wish I had like Madrid.
Lex
Cuz we only got to be in Madrid for one day. We didn't really get to explore it the way that we wanted to. Cuz remember we wanted to go to the museum and have out of the.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Places that you've been to already, like outside of the travel show, what's like your top five places that you.
Dre
And why Dubai?
Earn Your Leisure Host
Why?
Dre
Because I felt fancy. I was like, I'm so regal, I belong here.
Guest Host
This is true.
Dre
You know what I'm saying? Like when I went to Dubai it was just like I had an amazing time. I don't know, I feel like first of all I'm just a vibe. I always be turned up, right? So no matter where I go, I'm going to have a time. But Paris, definitely, that's one of my favorite spots. And honestly I will say Legos because I did Legos the right way. Those are like my top three.
Lex
Oh, but I love Jamaica. I always have a time in Jamaica. I just came back from Jamaica a few weeks ago. What part I would actually this was my first time going to Kingston cuz normally I always go to Mo.
Guest Host
You was in the city with somebody?
Lex
Yeah, well no, I was with my best friend. Shout out to stop trying to spill people tea. See, I was with somebody but it wasn't like that. One of my, my best friends is actually Jamaican. Shout out to my best friend Lynn. And so her family has like a whole compound in Kingston. So she always goes out there for like two months at a time and spend a lot of time with her family. And she was like, girl, you should come. And I'm like, I don't know. Kingston again, just never going somewhere, making assumptions. But it was really safe. I was a little Scared.
Guest Host
My family's from Kingston.
Lex
Really?
Guest Host
Yeah, my whole family's from there. My mom, like, they grew up in the same neighborhood. And when we went in Kingston a few years ago, I went back to the neighborhood and the police escorted out the neighborhood.
Dre
I know that's right.
Guest Host
They said, you don't belong here. Don't come back.
Dre
I'm weak. That's why he don't like gumbo. He only like oxtails.
Guest Host
I don't eat beef. And you ate pork. We'll talk about that later, but keep going. Kingston. You did, you did, you did Kingston. What else?
Lex
But I had a good time in Kingston. I would say, honestly, when we went to Ibiza, we had a really good time.
Dre
Oh, Aba is a vibe.
Lex
Yeah, we had a really good time in Ibiza. And then London as well.
Dre
London's a vibe I couldn't get with.
Lex
The beans and toast. But that was the best part for me, you know?
Dre
No, I love a little beans.
Lex
You do? But you didn't like those.
Dre
No, I didn't like the breakfast beans in London. That's the first bean I didn't like. But I do like London. It's cool. But, I don't know, it reminds me of New York. You know what I'm saying? So when I like to try, they.
Lex
Say New York, Tokyo and London are all the same. Like, similar.
Dre
But I went to Brazil in. What was that? December. Did I go to Brazil for the first time?
Lex
Rio.
Dre
Rio, Yeah, I went to Rio. So I had an amazing time. I be lit. I be going to this. Soon as I land, I'm drunk. Where the party at? And I had a good time. So we definitely gotta do something in Rio.
Lex
And I just love the Caribbean. Like, remember when I went to, like, Tobago Caves and I went to all of these different islands? I was on a yacht for, like, seven days, and I went to, like, five different islands. It was really, really dope.
Guest Host
Not the fisherman boat, the yacht.
Lex
No, it was a yacht. Yacht somehow still up on ig.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So for black. So if we put a. If we put up. If we put a post up for, like, top five places that black women should travel, that's. We got Dubai.
Dre
Yes.
Earn Your Leisure Host
We got Paris.
Lex
Yes.
Dre
Amsterdam, for sure.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Amsterdam.
Guest Host
Jamaica.
Lex
Jamaica.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Jamaica.
Lex
And then I would say, ooh, Turks was one. We forgot about Turks. We didn't even mention Turks.
Dre
Turks is a vibe.
Lex
Turks is a vibe.
Dre
It's expensive. It's really.
Lex
But it's probably one of the most expensive places that we've ever.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah, we had some good times in Turks.
Lex
Yeah.
Dre
Turks is definitely a vibe, but.
Lex
And I need your money up for that. It ain't budget friendly at all.
Dre
Not at all. And I will say, honestly, when I went to Amsterdam, there's a. A lot of black people in Amsterdam. Like, that surprised me.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Africans.
Dre
It's a lot. I mean, it was a lot of people. A lot of Americans there that had actually moved. Well, no, they. A lot of people that were living there.
Guest Host
Okay.
Dre
Yeah. Like, I had met. I just walked into a random bar and I was by myself, just walking cuz my friend had to work. And I walked into this random bar. I met so many, like, black Americans that had been living there for years up in the.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Y' all been to Asia?
Dre
No, not at all.
Lex
Tribal queens. Asia.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Thailand. You gonna love Thailand. For sure.
Dre
Why?
Lex
You don't think I'm.
Earn Your Leisure Host
No, you're like, Thailand too.
Lex
Okay.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But. But I just feel like Lex. Lexa, probably.
Dre
Is it like, turn up fun or like, food fun?
Earn Your Leisure Host
It's everything. Okay.
Dre
Cause I'm.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But it's super, like, it's super turn up. Like, as far as, like, Thailand's a good place because you. Whatever you want to do, you can do. Like, there's like, different vibes. Like, there's beach vibes, there's city vibes, there's like, beautiful island vibes. Parties go 24 hours a day.
Dre
Oh, yeah, that's mine.
Earn Your Leisure Host
It's like, super. It's. Thailand's a good place. Y' all should definitely put that on your list.
Lex
I'm gonna go to Bangkok.
Dre
Yeah. The pork bao buns. So don't judge me because that's what I'm eating.
Lex
Bow buns.
Guest Host
I really judge you.
Dre
I told you pork is tasty in moderation.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Pork bowels, the bow buns.
Dre
And they have, like, the pork in.
Lex
It, the little soft buns, and then they have, like, the filling on the inside.
Guest Host
Did you. You had pork cheek, right? What you at?
Dre
What was it with the top?
Lex
It was beef. It was.
Dre
It was the. I was judging you in the eye.
Lex
It was beef head and beef. I.
Dre
An adventurous eater, though.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Well, let's get to this. Let's get to this. All right, let's get to this. This is. This is social media. Media necessary. So we got two different categories.
Lex
Okay.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Okay. I said something on social media that got very controversial. I named my top five food cities in America.
Lex
I saw that. I remember that.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Did you. You remember that?
Lex
I do. I remember it was like a few months ago.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So. Okay. You guys travel a lot. You're foodies.
Dre
Yes, yes.
Guest Host
Both Foodies.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So let's do this. Let's start with America.
Lex
I'm pretty adventurous.
Earn Your Leisure Host
What is the. What's your top five food cities in America? And explain this to me now.
Lex
See, maybe I'm being a little biased because I'm from Houston, but I feel like Houston has some of the best food in the states. Like it's just so many different flavors, so many different cultures. Like we have really good Mexican food because we're right there by Mexico. We have really good Cajun and Creole food because we're right there by Louisiana. And there's so many Louisiana people that have moved to Houston. Then, then I feel like even in the clubs, the, even the strip club food. Busy, busy. You can get fried rice at 3am they not doing that in other cities. Like I don't know. I just feel like Houston has really, really good food. Definitely would say New York just because there's so many different cultures out here. And y' all have really good Cuban food. Y' all have really good Dominican food. Making food like the list just goes on and on.
Dre
Chicago for sure.
Lex
Chicago for sure. Chicago has really, really good food. As a lot of amazing restaurants out there.
Dre
I've never been in Chicago and like I'll book a random restaurant and it's always good.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Like New Orleans.
Dre
You know what?
Lex
New Orleans. New Orleans.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Oh, you're not really sold on New Orleans. That's controversial.
Guest Host
She said it's close to Houston.
Dre
To be honest. Cuz a lot of those.
Lex
You think the food changed.
Dre
It did. It really did. And I don't want me to off.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Anybody cuz on the phone.
Lex
That's probably why the food so good in Houston. Cuz I. Everybody moved there. Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So. All right, so. So break this. Cuz everybody thinks that Chicago.
Guest Host
And you didn't have Chicago. That was.
Dre
You didn't have Chicago.
Guest Host
That was the thing.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah. But Chicago I, I definitely could have.
Guest Host
They forgave you. Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Well, let's talk about new New Orleans because this is controversial.
Lex
Okay.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Cuz people think New Orleans is the best thing ever when it comes to food.
Lex
Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
You think it's overrated.
Lex
It's not that I think that it's overrated. I just think. Okay. Like I was saying earlier, my family is from Louisiana, so I grew up eating Creole Cajun food a lot. I think that a lot restaurants in Louisiana are very commercial. So it's different from like if you're eating the food at your granny house versus if you're going to a lot of these chain restaurants outside of Morrows. Outside of Morrows cuz mor is shout.
Guest Host
Out to Big Laro and everything in that empire.
Lex
Amen.
Dre
But I will say I agree with her. If you're like in New Orleans or Louisiana, wherever you are, if you go to somebody auntie house, you're gonna have the best food you've ever had in your life. But like, if you're just on Bourbon street and you're trying to eat, it's not gonna be like.
Lex
It's just very commercial.
Dre
Yeah. So y. I agree with that as well.
Lex
So we got gentrified creole.
Earn Your Leisure Host
We got Houston, New York, Chicago. We got two more cities.
Lex
I would say Philly has really good food.
Guest Host
Interesting.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Philly, Philadelphia.
Dre
Philly. Yeah.
Lex
Like, we went. I can't remember the name of that restaurant. Maybe living rent free in my head, that Italian restaurant that we went to out there. That pasta was some of the best pasta in my life. And I really can't. I wish I could remember the name of the restaurant right now.
Guest Host
Okay, that's a curveball.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah.
Dre
I'm trying to think one more, you know, one more. One more. Where? Somewhere. I don't know.
Lex
Somewhere else.
Dre
Somewhere else.
Lex
Miami, D.C. has good food.
Dre
Okay. I'm not mad at that. I'm not. I'm not mad at that. I'm kind of like between.
Lex
But you know what? He right.
Earn Your Leisure Host
I think Miami gets overlooked. Miami gets overlooked because they like. But Miami got some dope ass restaurants. They do that are experiences, vibes and good food aesthetically.
Lex
And the food is good. Yeah.
Dre
She was just talking about sexy fish lap. Y' all gonna have to pry sexy fish out my cold dead hands. I love me some sexy fish. Yeah, I love sexy fish.
Lex
Sexy fish. One of my favorite things to do.
Guest Host
The London one.
Dre
I didn't.
Guest Host
No.
Dre
We went to the Miami one for my birthday one year. But my favorite thing to do is just get dressed up like I'm talking about, put that shit on and go to dinner and sexy. Like in Miami, every restaurant you gotta put that shit on. We went for my birthday one year. My Miami, we got a house on the water. And every time we went to dinner, we had on full, like dressing and it's a five.
Earn Your Leisure Host
They bringing out sparklers.
Lex
They got poppy steak. I love poppy steak.
Dre
Poppy steak is a good one, that.
Lex
Pastrami, but I forgot you don't eat me Komodo.
Dre
Yes. Oh, we had a time Kodo for her birthday.
Lex
We did go to Kodo for my birthday.
Dre
Okay.
Lex
What's the name of that place? Mila.
Dre
Yeah. Mila was so. Yeah. I will say my Miami. I'll put Miami before dc.
Lex
Me too.
Guest Host
DC a bunch of times. I'm not sure if it's.
Dre
Well, the brunch.
Earn Your Leisure Host
It's like D.C. they do restaurants. It's. It's not as commercial.
Dre
Yeah, good. Like brunch culture.
Earn Your Leisure Host
I had like the best Indian food in my life.
Guest Host
I might.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah. And a random. It was a random just walking.
Lex
And this isn't domestic, but I had some of the best Indian food in my life in Kingston.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Well, let's talk about that. All right. International. International. Cuz you guys are international. International traveler experts. Give me the top five international places that you've been to.
Guest Host
Well, as far as food, food wise, I'm a foodie.
Dre
Yeah. Okay. I'll put Jamaica on my list. I won't say number one, like I said. I know I keep talking about Amsterdam, but it shocked me.
Lex
Really?
Earn Your Leisure Host
Amsterdam?
Dre
Yes. That's Thai food.
Earn Your Leisure Host
That's in the top?
Dre
Yes. I'm telling you, anybody who has been to Amsterdam a few times, they'll be like, yeah, the food out there.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Amsterdam.
Dre
Amsterdam.
Lex
Like I said, Jamaica. Just because you're automatically going to think of Jamaican food. The oxtail, the rice and peas. But Jamaica has really good Asian food. Like they have really good Chinese food and they have really, really good Indian food.
Earn Your Leisure Host
You've been to Screeches?
Lex
I have been to Screeches.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Legendary legend. Legendary.
Lex
I'll be in them streets. Definitely with the local Pepper Tom. Have you ever heard of Pepperton?
Guest Host
Yo, she's.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Nah.
Guest Host
Yeah.
Lex
My best friend. I always say I'm an honorary Jamaican. Wan.
Guest Host
Saying them things. Okay.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Scre cheeses. You had the popcorn lobster.
Lex
Yes, that was so.
Earn Your Leisure Host
And the jerk. The jerk lobster.
Lex
Well, no, I had the jerk chicken and then I had the popcorn.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Popcorn lobster.
Guest Host
Jerk Lobster fest took about four hours, but it's okay.
Lex
They going to take a long time at all them restaurants. But it's worth the wait.
Dre
This is in Kingston, right?
Earn Your Leisure Host
No, that's. That's in hell.
Guest Host
It's like an hour hell beach inside Hillside.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So we got. We got Jamaica and we got Amsterdam.
Dre
Lagos for sure.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Lagos.
Dre
I mean, I was really eating good out there. Oh, Ibiza had good food.
Lex
Ibiza had that restaurant we went to.
Dre
Oh my God, we were eating good everywhere.
Lex
The outdoor restaurant we had to go back to. Yeah.
Dre
Oh my gosh. It was so we gotta start keeping.
Lex
The names of these places.
Dre
We do.
Guest Host
We got one more.
Lex
Okay.
Dre
Where else that we.
Earn Your Leisure Host
You don't like Paris?
Lex
I was gonna say.
Dre
I'm not gonna lie. Paris Was the first time. See, that was. I went on a little vacation. When I went and it was the first time I had to duck ever.
Lex
Ever.
Dre
I said, oh, duck is the.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Duck is the vibe with the, with the, with the. With the pancake like thing and the sauce.
Dre
I wish I remember the name of the restaurant. It was right across from the Louis Vuitton store. So we're like. It was just.
Guest Host
So that's where we stayed over there.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Stay over there.
Dre
You know, I was just having a time of my life.
Guest Host
Paris would definitely be in there.
Dre
Yeah, Paris had amazing food, which, like I said, sometimes it surprises me because when I go to Europe, I'm really like, like, ooh.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But what about the la. What about like Mexico or Colombia?
Dre
I. We ate good in Colombia.
Lex
You know what? Funny enough, Colombia too. People are gonna automatically assume Colombian food. They had really good Italian food out there. They had some really good Mexican food out there too.
Dre
And you gonna be mad, but when I went to Brazil, they had these little sausages things. I was on the beach eating a little sausage. It was so good. It was like a sandwich thing.
Earn Your Leisure Host
I was a sausage sandwich. Sandwich. A glizzy. We call that a glizy.
Lex
Being from the south, we love a little sausage sandwich.
Dre
Sausage.
Lex
A little bread and whiskey.
Dre
I'm sorry. So good.
Earn Your Leisure Host
What's the worst place that you've ever like?
Dre
London. I'm sorry. That London has one good place. D Waffle is the only place in London.
Earn Your Leisure Host
We always had good food in London.
Lex
Oh, no. That's what I was going to say too, Rashad.
Guest Host
Subjective.
Lex
We went to Soho House in London and that was one of the best burgers I've had in my whole entire life.
Dre
It was a good burger.
Earn Your Leisure Host
They got a lot of restaurants in London.
Guest Host
They do.
Dre
They do a London girly like you go to Egypt.
Earn Your Leisure Host
No disrespect to all my people from Egypt, but that food is. Didn't meet the bar. And I got food poisoned.
Guest Host
Probably everybody. Well, a lot of the people that.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Went did like, no seasoning. No seasoning. The same thing.
Guest Host
Probably at the. If we had to rank them, it would probably be at the bottom.
Earn Your Leisure Host
The worst. The worst.
Guest Host
Yeah, for sure.
Lex
And see, I wasn't expecting it.
Dre
Are they strict out there?
Earn Your Leisure Host
No, no, that's cool. I mean, Egypt is. It's good. As far as historical standpoint, it was dope. It was amazing to see the pyramids, to see Luxar. Amazing experience. But just the food missed the bar.
Dre
Okay.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But it's not like a. We didn't get like Parties. We didn't like party too much out there.
Guest Host
Yeah, it was more so I. I.
Dre
Don'T need to go another turn up.
Guest Host
Well, we never. We didn't go to New Cairo. I heard New Cairo is. Is a place, but I don't know if there's like a turn up. Turn up. Like how you would love to turn up.
Dre
Yeah. You know what's crazy? When I'm at home, I hate go. I hate the club. I hate going out. But when I'm in the country, man. What time is y' all ready? It's time to go. My favorite thing about Legos is they don't close the club until the last person.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Nah, they go too far, though.
Lex
They take it too far.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Donna.
Dre
Yo. I love it.
Earn Your Leisure Host
10Am 10am I left. They still party.
Lex
That's wild.
Dre
They was like, you still here? Yes.
Earn Your Leisure Host
No, no. They go to.
Dre
Oh, I love it. I was up the last. My last night in Lagos. We left the club at 10am we went back and packed and I made it to the airport.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But that's part of the travel experience too. You gotta show the nightlife. Like you said. Like, even us, like, we don't really in New York hang out too much. But like, we was in London, we went out five nights in a row every single night.
Guest Host
Seven nights.
Earn Your Leisure Host
And I had a birthday party in London and Paris on the same day.
Guest Host
You don't know.
Lex
And London nightlife is fun.
Dre
That's why I will say I do like the nightlife.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Tape. London.
Guest Host
Yeah, tape. I'm gonna go with the nightlife. Life is great. I'm not sure the food is great, but the life is great in London. Yeah. Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
I don't know. I had good food in London. I can't complain. I can't knock the fool.
Lex
I was fooling with everything. With the beans and toes for breakfast. That's what I. That's what they got me.
Dre
Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Dubai got good food too. Like, I mean, it's all right, let's do this. There's a difference between nice restaurants and cultural food.
Dre
Exactly.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Like, you know what I mean? If you have. If the city's wealthy, they're gonna have top restaurants, right? If you go to top restaurants, you're gonna eat good.
Dre
Right? Agree.
Earn Your Leisure Host
London, for instance, Right? Like, we go to top restaurants, we're gonna eat good. You're not gonna have a bad experience at a high end restaurant. But if it's like Jamaica, you can go to a Screechy's and that feels like that's the best food ever, right? But that's not a five star Michelin, right?
Guest Host
It might as well be.
Dre
But I'm not gonna lie.
Lex
When I was in Hellshire, it's a time.
Dre
What was the restaurant? The Salt Bay guys restaurant.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Guest Host
I've been. We've been a few of those. I'm. I'm just not. I mean, it's a steakhouse for one, so we're not really doing much of that, but it is. I think it's a bit overrated.
Dre
It was. Well, I'll tell you right now, the steak wasn't that tasty. I know. Red meat.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But you got to go to meos in Dubai at Atlantis.
Dre
Okay.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Legendary.
Guest Host
Highest level.
Dre
Oh, I'm there now.
Earn Your Leisure Host
She's a travel queen. No.
Lex
Where is it?
Earn Your Leisure Host
So it's in Dubai.
Dre
High.
Earn Your Leisure Host
It's in.
Guest Host
That's the highest Atlantis.
Earn Your Leisure Host
What's the. What's the level on Atlantis? They got two levels at Atlantis. They got the regular level and then they got the higher level of Atlantis. So when you go to elite, you.
Dre
Got to have like a VIP or something.
Lex
Let me put that in my nose. Me.
Guest Host
I'll show you the videos. They got. You know that Beyonce opened a hotel a few years ago with the big waterfall.
Lex
Okay, Elite level, everybody.
Guest Host
It's fire, though.
Earn Your Leisure Host
But they got meos the. In the city, too.
Dre
Okay.
Guest Host
Two of them should go there for lunch.
Lex
Dubai.
Guest Host
Make a call.
Dre
Okay. Period. Y' all make the call.
Guest Host
Welcome to the city.
Lex
G with y' all.
Guest Host
We notice I didn't put Atlanta in any of those lists.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Atlanta, Atlanta.
Lex
Cuz. Cuz.
Earn Your Leisure Host
And we're not shout out to Atlanta.
Dre
And we're not.
Lex
We didn't forget. We just didn't add it and get it.
Dre
And not.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Atlanta not made the food list.
Lex
I mean, Atlanta got the wings on lock.
Earn Your Leisure Host
The wings, chicken wings.
Lex
Chicken wings, strip club wings. The wings on lock. But that's for me, outside of that.
Guest Host
That's about it.
Earn Your Leisure Host
It's over.
Dre
Yeah.
Lex
I don't know. Like, even barbecue, being from Texas, being from Houston, barbecue is a big thing out there. My mom, every time she comes to Atlanta, she like, well, you can give me whatever you want, but don't give me no barbecue. Because she was like, it tastes like they boil the meat first and then put it on the grill. It just. I don't know. They don't do a lot of things right in Atlanta.
Dre
And I like my sauce.
Guest Host
Stop. Yo, yo, stop. You doubling down, tripling down.
Dre
My sauce is the same snap.
Lex
You don't think they be snapping? I don't really Eat sausages anymore.
Earn Your Leisure Host
What's the best food? What's the best signature food? For instance, Philly has a cheesesteak. Yeah. New York, New York, Chicago, they debate about this. Their pizza.
Lex
Pizza.
Dre
Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Like, what does New Orleans have? New Orleans has oysters.
Lex
I would say crawfish. I would say gumbo.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Gumbo, gumbo. What's the. What's your favorite favorite? New York also has glizzies, too. What's your favorite?
Lex
Y' all do? You can get them on every corner.
Earn Your Leisure Host
What's your favorite cultural thing where it's like, this is in Houston or Atlanta in America. Like if, like I said, if you could pick one thing where it's like, I want a Philly cheesesteak. I want a deep dish pizza from Chicago. I want. I gotta have this when I go to the city.
Lex
Taco.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Taco.
Lex
A taco. In Houston, we have so many tacos.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Synonymous with Houston because of the.
Lex
We have so many Mexican food trucks. So like 3am, 4am you could go to any gas station parking lot and it's going to be a busing taco truck and you can get like five tacos.
Earn Your Leisure Host
You got chopped cheese. You got chopped cheese.
Lex
In New York, I have had a chopped cheese.
Earn Your Leisure Host
How was that experience for you?
Lex
It was good. It was good. But I feel like we probably should go somewhere that y' all recommend because we just went to a ranch random place, but it was good.
Guest Host
Okay. They're tasting chopped cheese on a docket. Yeah, you gotta take them to the Bronx.
Lex
In the city.
Dre
But I am a Chicago pizza girl. I love a thin crust.
Guest Host
Thin crust?
Lex
No, they.
Dre
Oh, well, that's New York then.
Lex
Yeah.
Earn Your Leisure Host
New York is thin crust. Chicago's deep dish.
Dre
I do not like the deep dish. Yeah, I don't like that.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yeah, it's too much.
Dre
I don't like it. So, yeah, mozzarella.
Lex
And we went to the place that they recommended, like, one of the top, I think, Giordano's. Giordano's. Something like that.
Guest Host
They said that that's the commercial side. But there is one that has the real deep dish. I've tried a bunch, like three of them already.
Lex
So you like deep dish?
Guest Host
I'm a New Yorker.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So what's your pick?
Guest Host
For what?
Earn Your Leisure Host
What'd I just say?
Guest Host
As far as.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Cause I'm going with Philly cheesesteak.
Guest Host
Philly cheesesteak is incredible.
Earn Your Leisure Host
I don't even eat beef salmon. A Philly salmon cheese. But I just feel like Philly cheesesteak is legendary.
Guest Host
Yo, I'm fired as. But the number one thing I'm gonna say is a Jamaican beef patty, even though.
Earn Your Leisure Host
No, but that's not synonymous.
Guest Host
Synonymous with Jamaica.
Earn Your Leisure Host
No, no, I'm talking about American thing.
Guest Host
Oh, you said food.
Lex
Anyway, in America, Jamaican beef patties don't taste the same here.
Guest Host
No, no, no. I got. I'mma take you to the right place.
Dre
Okay.
Lex
Cause I had a beef patty from the gas station in Kingston.
Guest Host
It was good.
Lex
Yes, but apparently that place is known for their beef patties. I can't remember the name of it, but it's like a gas station station. Little restaurant.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Eating food in gas stations is. That's questionable.
Dre
Y' all came to Atlanta. Have y' all ever had Dave's cheesesteak?
Earn Your Leisure Host
Big Dave? Yeah, for sure.
Dre
He's his. Started off.
Earn Your Leisure Host
He started in the gas station. That's a fact. That's a fact.
Dre
And we drove there a long time ago to actually try best cheesesteak.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Oh, you ate when it was at a gas station?
Dre
Yes, I went to. When it was. What?
Earn Your Leisure Host
Shout out to Derek.
Lex
We going to travel far and wide for some good food.
Guest Host
I got y' all on the patties. I got you.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Oh, you know, I gotta get the marathon burger in la, too.
Dre
Ooh, I love a good burger.
Lex
I've never tried it.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Highly recommend.
Dre
I'm like, oh, I need a little snack. I'll make a burger.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Like trailburger, not a little snack.
Lex
Troll burger is good. I had troll burger for the first time, actually, a few months ago when I went to the rodeo. And it was good. It live up to the height. Salad tried a possible one too.
Guest Host
Official.
Lex
Oh, yeah.
Dre
I like mine with extra bacon.
Guest Host
Yo, this.
Earn Your Leisure Host
Yo, she's on one.
Lex
Don't. No bacon for me, please.
Dre
I like my bacon crisp.
Lex
Be little turkey bacon.
Dre
No, I want that pork.
Guest Host
Yo, do y' all see this? Obviously you. You've created streams from poor minds, but travel queens has that potential as well, when I look at it, right? To create maybe a travel club agency. A travel club. A travel platform for women, of. For all women. Really? Do y' all see that in the cards?
Lex
Yeah, we always say. Cuz it's so funny, because prior to us getting the opportunity to do travel queens, we were actually talking about starting, like, a travel group with some of our listeners and, like, traveling to different places, planning excursions, planning the whole trip. And then they just pay, you know, a certain price, and then they can come travel with us. So that's something I'm definitely open to.
Dre
I feel like now, because at first I was like, how are we going to, like, pitch this to them and how are we going to do it? But now that we have a whole show to be like, and it can branch off of it, we're definitely going to do it now for sure. Because, like I said, we travel anyway. And I think, like I said, that goes into, like, our engagement with our audience. Like, you can feel like you can travel with us and have a good time with us. So it's so many opportunities, like, in the travel space of, like, things to do. Like, eventually I wouldn't mind us doing, like, a Poor Minds on the Go episode, like, whenever we're in different countries and recording an episode and things like that. So it's a lot. It's a lot that we can do with travel queens we've been talking about a lot.
Earn Your Leisure Host
So y' all should definitely do a travel club.
Dre
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Lex
I think it would be really fun from retreats, too.
Dre
Yeah. And like I said, it's something that we could document and film and that'll live on our Patreon. We'll have a whole, you know, it's a lot that we can do, but it's a lot that we are talking about. But it's like she said, it's crazy because this is something that we were already talking about doing because we travel so much.
Guest Host
Yeah. And I think people enjoy it. I. I think they see you on point minds and they're like, oh, when we meet them will probably be different. Like, Y' all are 100% the people that y' all are on that camera. Y' all with cameras not on.
Dre
Thank you.
Guest Host
I think people really enjoy that authenticity.
