Canva!!

(not entirely verbatim) Ok so for this little episode I’m going to explain how I plan to use Canva in my classroom. First, a little backstory. I was never the best student but for some reason, I always participated the best and did my best in classes where the teacher would allow us to have a bit of creative freedom. That being said, its really hard to have certain creative factors in certain subjects, so that was also a main factor for me, but the way I plan to visualize it, is by allowing my students to have a bit of freedom in the classroom as far as certain projects and assignments go. When first going through Canva, its fun to imagine the many assignments you could allow your students to make, how it’ll work into the unit or book that is being read and all that jazz. Just briefly going through the templates that could assist both you or your students. They have bookmarks, lesson plan and worksheet templates, tickets, flyers, brochures, presentations, social media post/story templates, and posters (the one I plan to use the most). This is a great tool for educators alike to use, because it allows students to not only work on their technical skills, buts its a fun hands-on learning tool that will allow students to show that they understand the task at hand in the way you hope. One key point that we were supposed to cover is how we experimented with it and before I got to recording this, I messing around with the logo creation aspect of it and plan on using it for the instagram post creation resources too. Its just a great educational resource that will be fun in a classroom, or useful to share your creations with other teachers.
