My Dear fellow Sonic Travelers:

I have a great memory about enjoying wonderful dessert at the OG Sweet Lady Jane café on Melrose, circa 1995.

There was this server dude there, Anthony I think his name was, who always made me feel so special. I and my guest would come in late because the café closed around 1AM on the weekends. We'd be seated at one of their wrought iron bistro tables. I would order delicious chocolate cake and French press coffee.

In concert, I recall jazz music softly playing over their system - I so enjoyed the night air, the whole dreamy ambiance of the café, the conversation, the other patrons enjoying themselves... and for a bit of time I felt beautiful. More alive. At a lil' cafe in ma belle L.A. tucking into a moment of simple luxe.

That's the feeling I want to share in this week's show: Ms. Coco's Bruk & Jazz Delight.
