The opinion of Elon musk about the 3i Atlas.
C
You paying attention at all? The 3eye Atlas, are you the comet? Yeah, Whatever it is.
A
Yeah, yeah. I mean, one thing I can say is like, look, if I was aware of any evidence of aliens, Joe, you have my word. I will come on your show and I will reveal it on the show.
C
Okay. Yeah, that's a good deal.
A
Yeah, it's pretty good. I believe you.
C
Yeah, thank you.
A
Appreciate that. I'll stick to. I keep my promises, so.
C
All right, I'll hold you to that. Yeah, yeah.
A
And I'm never committing suicide, to be clear. I don't think you would either on camera, guys. I am never committing suicide, ever.
C
If someone says you committed suicide, I will fight tooth and nail.
A
Thank you.
C
I will fight tooth and nail. I will. I will not believe it. I will not believe it. The thing about the Three Eye Atlas is it's.
A
That's a hell of a name actually.
C
Yeah, it's a third eye.
A
It sounds like third eye or something.
C
You paying attention at all? The Three Eye Atlas? Are you?
A
Oh, there's the comet.
C
Yeah. Whatever it is.
A
Yeah, yeah. I mean, I mean, one thing I can say is like, look, if I was aware of any evidence of aliens, Joe, you have my word. I will come on your show and I will reveal it on the show.

A
That's a hell of a name actually.
C
Yeah, it's a third eye.
A
It sounds like third eye or something.
C
Yeah, it does. 3i is third. It's only the third interstellar object that's detected.
A
Okay.
C
Yeah, yeah. Avi Loeb was on the podcast a couple days ago talking about it.
A
Yeah, it could be on his own.
C
But apparently today they're saying that it's changed course. Did you see that, Jamie? Avi Lobe said something today. I'll send it to you. I know it's on Reddit. Here you go, Jamie. All of a sudden it's here right now. It's fascinating. It's fascinating also because it's made almost entirely of nickel, whatever it is. And the only way that exists here is industrial alloys, apparently.
A
No, there are, there are, there are definitely comets that, and asteroids that are made primarily of nickel.
C
Oh, really?
A
Yeah. So the places where you mine nickel on Earth is actually where there was an asteroid or comet that hit Earth that was a nickel rich, you know.
C
Aspect of nickel rich deposit.
A
Yeah, that's the, that's, that's, it's coming, those are from impacts. You definitely didn't want to be there at the time because anything would have been obliterated.
C
Right.
A
But that's, that's where the sources of nickel and cobalt are these days.
C
So this is Avi Lobe A few hours ago, the first hint of non gravitational acceleration, that something other than gravity is affecting its acceleration, meaning something is affecting its trajectory beyond gravity was indicated. Interesting. Dun, dun, dun. So it's mostly nickel, very little iron, which he was saying is on Earth, it only exists in alloys, but whatever, you know, you're dealing with another planet.
A
This, There are, there are, there are cases where there's very nickel rich. Asteroids, meteorites.
C
For something from space.
A
Yeah, it's only. Yeah. It doesn't mean it's. It'll be a very sort of heavy spaceship to make it all out of nickel. Oh yeah.
C
And fucking huge. The size of Manhattan and all nickel. That's kind of nuts.
A
Yeah, that's a heavy spaceship.
C
That's a real problem. If it hits.
A
Yes. No, it would like obliterate a continent type of thing.
C
Yeah, maybe it was probably kill most of human life, if not all of us.
A
It depends on what the total mass is. But I mean the thing is like in the fossil record there are, you know, there's like arguably five major Extinction events, like the biggest one of which is the Permian extinction, where almost all life was eliminated. That actually occurred over several million years. There's the Jurassic. I think Jurassic is. I think that one's pretty definitively an asteroid. But there's been five major extinction events. But. But what they don't count are really the ones that merely take out a continent.
C
Merely.
A
Yeah, because those don't really show up on the fossil record, you know.
C
Right.
A
So unless it's enough to cause a mass extinction event throughout Earth, it doesn't show up, you know, in a fossil record that's 200 million years old. So the. Yeah, but there have been many, many impacts that would have sort of destroyed all life on, you know, let's say half of North America or something like that. Many such impacts through the course of history.
C
Yeah. And there's nothing we could do about it right now.
A
Yeah, there was one that hits. There was a one that hit Siberia and destroyed, I think, a few hundred square miles.
C
Oh, that's the Tunguska. Yeah, yeah, that's the one from the 1920s, right? Yeah, yeah, that's the one that coincides with that meteor, that comets storm that we go through every June and every November that they think is responsible for that younger, dry impact.
A
Yeah, yeah.
C
All that shit's crazy. Yeah, it does. Three Eye is the third. It's only the third interstellar object that's detected.
A
Okay.
C
Yeah, yeah. Avi Loeb was on the podcast a couple days ago talking about it.

Episode: The opinion of Elon Musk about the 3i Atlas!!!
Host: Astronaut Man
Date: November 5, 2025
This episode centers around a lively conversation about the "3i Atlas," a recently discovered interstellar object. The host, Astronaut Man, and his guest (speaking as "Elon Musk"), examine speculation, scientific background, and existential implications of such objects, with an especially deep dive into the possibility of alien origins, asteroid impacts, and mass extinction events. The episode balances humor and scientific insight, channeling the eccentric, yet hyper-logical spirit of Musk.
The episode is casual and bantering, with "Musk" blending deadpan humor and deep-dive explanations. Humor is used to deflate the ominous tone of asteroid impacts. The discussion occasionally loops, underscoring the mystery and growing speculation about the 3i Atlas.
For extended discussion, check out the referenced Joe Rogan Podcast interview with Elon Musk, as noted by the host at the episode’s close ([10:59]).
