All right, so I got a really neat opportunity able to do a preview for Mr. Drew Brown. Him and his family there at brown farm alongside VC2 show cattle are having their final four fall born genetic sale there on April 5th. You can find it on SC. Drew actually reached out to me. He's been a fan and he likes how this goes and so I'm able to represent them and very excited. Drew, walk me through kind of what your thoughts are on the sale, what the primary goal is that you'll try to accomplish. And after that we'll go through the lots.

Hey Weston, I really appreciate you taking the to do this with me today. Like I said, I'm Drew Brown here in Bloomingdale, Indiana with Brown Farms. And then I'm going to speak on behalf of Jake Cunningham and the Cunningham family there at BC2 show cattle there in Darlington, just about 45 minutes northeast of us. But you know, kind of had the opportunity to work with them over the past few years and it's been a great partnership kind of just to touch base a little bit on what we do here and what our goal is. I guess it's kind of, for lack of a better term, so bald over the past couple years. But you know, I came home there in 2024 and had our first sale here at our new sale facility and just started to roll from there. Kind of primarily raise Angus and Simmental cattle and some percent scimitars as well. And then over the last couple years we've integrated a little bit and changed things and gone ahead and raised some mains and keys and Jake has a big focus on that and you'll see on here as well. There's even a show steer opportunity. And I think that's something you can see kind of our operations heading a little bit more towards in the near future as well. You know, things are always changing, but ultimately our goal is helping families reach their goals and raising high quality livestock that we like. And we can feel comfortable and happy about standing behind because ultimately that's our passion.

Yes, sir. No, I completely agree. And you start the sale off with lot one. She'd be listed as tag 20. This would be a 24 carat on the Sandy 2118. This is an October born female and purebred Angus. I like the female a whole lot, especially from profile. I think her maternal silhouette highlights an awesome sweep from fore rib to flank with a very, very exceptional hip and hind leg. Talk to about her and what you think of her and her story as well.

So I'll just I'll kind of hit on this ball born deal a little bit. You know, we, we're big on quality over quantity just kind of here at the farm anyways. And so we put in, we put in some fall eggs last year obviously and we had four of them stick and all four of them are represented in this sale right here. But you know, probably one of my personal favorites and whether it's the mating or just going out and studying them is this lot one. She's a 24 karat 2118 that you know, kind of belovedly known here around the farm as the birdie cow. She's kind of our first donor, I guess that you would say that really hit a lick and she did so in a big way she would be our first million dollar producing female in her lifetime. She's an 8 year old cow but you know, just had this will be our fifth ET crop that we're rolling into this year and she's just done nothing but impress us from the very beginning. This female I think represents all the good things about that donor cow, like really, really good in terms of her shoulder build and her knee build. Awesome in terms of the sweep and just attractive balanced look to her center body and then hip and hind leg. That just allows her to kind of like stand the test of time for me. And that's going to be big I think especially in this senior yearling division, you know, when they go on, you know, next year at junior nationals. The ones that are sound and can maintain good structure and everything else, those are going to be the ones that rise to the top and then you know, mated back on 24 carat. If you're in the Angus deal or you're not in the Angus deal, you've probably heard of this bull. He makes them super eccentric up front and that's where she really excels as well too. So just a really nice blend of both those kind of powerhouse animals.

Yes sir. Lot 2 is next and this is actually a full sib Dilot one. I like to have her equally just as much. She actually reads to be more of like your brood cow prospect donor in the making in my mind. What's your thoughts?

I think so too. I think she's really round and dense in terms of her body cavity and she works back into a slightly bigger hip and just comes with more kind of punch there from behind. Sets down on a really big foot and you know, she's stout legged as well, which is kind of unique for the Angus breed. Just a shot more moderate than her sister, and obviously she's a month younger as well, but, you know, just kind of comes with that added stoutness. She just reads a touch more moderate for me. But, you know, that pedigree's stood the test of time a little bit and they've all had their place and, you know, kind of day in the ring and won quite a bit for us. So it's, it's been really, really a good ride with that pedigree.

Well, lot three's next and you're not supposed to show your face or your cards, but I'd have to say if I have a favorite in the sale, it would be lot three. And that's nothing to discredit to anything else, but I just am drawn to blazeface females like that. And also with that said, I mean, this female so stout featured and she matches that up high in terms of her mass and dimension. I think the female is awfully high quality. She's a next level out of the Selena 11 8H. This is a purebred simmental. And I do get fired up looking at this one.

I always say, like, who doesn't love a good baldy? And I think it rings true. I mean, obviously she's got, you know, a ton of views on here and you know, her picture's awesome. She's even more impressive in person, but you know, when they're a baldy and they look like that and then on top of that they're a direct daughter of a full sib to tecumseh, who's a $1.2 million valuation bull. I'm just not sure how much better it can get. And if you go ahead and like step out in the run with her, her presence is just unmatched. Up headed, really attractive, awesome swoop and body type for a purebred scimitar and still gets out and goes with the very best of them, we're pretty excited about that one for sure.

I would be too. A lot four is next. This would be another purebred Simmental. Same cow, but different sire be Sam. I mean, I actually think this female replicates Lot 3 in a lot of ways in terms of her body shape and her sweep from forehead to flank. Probably not as stout featured, but I don't think that that works to a disadvantage because she still matches everything and reads proportional and balanced from the side.

Ye, yeah, absolutely. I think her proportionality and balance is just really tough to beat. And what's been interesting to talk with guys as they've come to the farm a little Bit is, you know, kind of people are showing up for the baldy. And when they get them, you know, side by side in the pen, it's about, you know, half a dozen sixth. Another to say, you know, who likes which one? Because, you know, they're just. To us, they're just that good. There's a few things that separate them. And it's ultimately personal preference where you're going to decide. But they're just a really, really nice pair to compare and look back and forth to. That cow just kind of stamps them with quality. We do not have any embryo lots on her, unfortunately. We have. She has since been deceased. Pretty unfortunate circumstances there when she can kick out quality like this. I'll touch on the cow briefly. She was a purchase of ours there from Hicks Cattle Company. And she went on to win her class there at the Indiana. And just probably didn't ever have the best day in the ring. But the following year, Hartman sold the Tecumseh bull. And we took her to the donor pen pretty quickly after that. And she's kind of kicked out. Just, I mean, really impressive cattle from that point forward. Sale toppers for a few guys before I moved back home. Like Charlie Wilson there in Iowa. A sale topper for us in our first sale that went on to be reserve division at National Western. Just really good cattle that compete at a high level. And we are retaining 50% embryo interest in both of those females. But I promise we're a pretty good partner to work with.

Absolutely. That's really neat. Well, lot five is next. And these are going to be some genetic opportunities. Obviously, Lot 5 would be embryos that are sexed females that are full sibs to lots one and two. I think that just goes to show proofs in the pudding. These are definitely embryos that you can see and know that work that people will definitely get their investment back in.

Absolutely. Yeah. We've. We've sold these a couple times before. And it's always. It's always fun to talk with guys afterwards. Usually these guys are getting more than just one pregnancy. And it's just kind of a fertile mating. But they're getting more than one pregnancy. And then the quality is really good. They just really like the mating. And that's really impressive for us because I feel like the ability to have customers want to come back for more genetic matings is just kind of stands true to how good they are. This is a mating that kind of we here hold close to our heart. I guess. She was the first donor for us to raise A national champion. And then kind of since then, she's raised division champions of this mating and maternal sibs as well at Louisville, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and Denver. Class winners at the Junior Nationals as well as division winners at the Junior Internationals. And really, to be honest, this is the mating that probably changed the trajectory of my life a little bit, from being in college to coming back home and from working with people and gaining connections, things like that. This is the mating that's done it, and I think it can do it for other people as well, Just aside from the sheer quality of the animals.

Well, lot six is next, Same female, but this is a new mating. I mean, y' all paired her to new heights, and I think that bull is absolutely phenomenal. I love his heifer progeny, and I think that. That obviously it's a new mating, but I think it would work extremely well, for sure.

Absolutely. We didn't jump on the new heights thing in the first year, and I'm a little regretful that we didn't, because those heifer calves that I saw this fall and a few of them that I've seen at some major shows this year were just so good. That was the first way that we ran this female when she went back to the donor facility. Like I said, Birdie's 8 years old. We've done her to a lot of things. She's hit a bunch of different ways. It's pretty unique when you can have a female that goes through that many calf crops, and then still you can bring her to a new bull every time, and she goes ahead and creates another really, really nice one. So I'm pretty excited about this new heights deal, and I think a lot of people will be, too.

Yes, sir. Well, lot sevens next. Again, some more embryos that are offered out of Birdie, but these would be on databank. Talk to me about what those cattle have done for y' all and how they progress. Your. Your firm there in Indiana.

So the databank deals a little different. It's something we did a few years ago, and fortunately, she made quite a few of them, and we've continued to put them in. Right there, you can see in the picture. Hoosier Beef Congress, 2022. She raised the champion commercial heifer. Deanna hadn't started a main Angus division at that point, so we ran her in the commercials. Chase Harker campaign, that one. And she won the Hoosier Beef Congress in the commercial division. And then later on, Colder Cunningham showed another one that year that was in the top five for the bread and owned heifers at the main and Key Junior Nationals. We've got the first calf crop out of those females this year, and it's. They're really, really good. I think if you're not watching the industry right now and seeing the. The good things that the Main and Key cattle are doing and the, you know, industry interest that's headed that way, it's probably time to start looking into it because it allows for a little bit more diversity. And it definitely. The cattle are good, they sell great, and they work really, really, really well for us on down the road. So main Angus maintainers really doesn't matter what way you show them. Obviously, we've shown them commercial, too. Pretty exciting.

Very much so. And very nice heifer, for sure. Well, lot eight next. These are going to be actually more new height embryos, but out of a different female. Y' all called Lola. Talk me about what she's done for Yalls program and the different ways that y' all have done her too. Obviously there's some more embryo lots that come out of her, but talk to me about this mating in particular.

So Lola's a new donor for us. Obviously, the. The picture is a couple years old. We're just kind of getting into utilizing her and seeing what she can do. She's got an awesome encore bull calf that I think a lot of people are going to hear more from on later this fall. She's had a couple other heifers for us that have been really, really nice that we've actually retained. But we went ahead and did her to new heights. That female went on to be in the top. She won her division at Hoosier Beef Congress. She was in the top five at Purdue agr and then she was in the top five bread knowns there at Angus Junior Nationals, which was a huge deal for our family. Just a really, really complete, sound, proportional female. I think new heights is going to add some added density in terms of like some stoutness of foot and bone. Not that she was, you know, weak in that area at all, but if you kind of keep that look in presence and add just a shot more foot and bone, I think there's really going to be a lot of people watching that one. Whether you want to have high sellers in the fall or you want to campaign a really good show heifer.

Yes, sir. Well, lot nines next. Another embryo offering from the Lola female. But these are actually going to be out of revelation sired. And talk to me about what these do. These are going to be percentage semis yeah.

Percentage scimitar mating. I think the percentage semi thing is unique and we've done it a couple of times on these Angus heifers and taking them back to a purebred. I've watched the revelation cattle over the past two years, the bull of Tim Schaefer, Nate Tyson, the Bloomberg family. And I think he just does all the right things. Like he makes them really, really unique up front, keeps all the body shape and then still keeps them structurally sound. I think they'll make awesome show efforts and even better cows. But, you know, if you're wanting to compete at a jackpot or maybe you're wanting to go chase divisions or even more at, you know, national shows in the percent scimitol deal, I think if you're sound and really unique, it's pretty easy to get a look. And I think these cattle fit that bill pretty good.

And so Lot 10 is next. And these are actually going to be some choice embryo options out of the sunny female of yours. Talk to me about how this is going to be laid out for everybody that does end up purchasing this and what it all has to offer.

So Lot 10 is a choice of your sire on sunny sex females, the choice is between the encore Angus bull or the hits different main bull encores would be percent keys and then the hits different would also be percent keys. And the sunny female is one that probably lit the fire for colder Cunningham, Jake and Skyler's oldest boy when he was jackpot showing there, you know, earlier, before his 4H career. She's one that, you know, just continued to grab top fives every weekend. And, you know, when stuff like that is happening, it's pretty fun to go ahead and just keep going and putting in the work and things like that. She's a paradox out of the jalen cow that Jake purchased out of the Sherwood Cattle Company sale. Yeah, so Jake would have purchased her out of the Sherwood Cattle Company sale. And then from there, several jackpot top fives and grand champions. And then since hitting production, she's really, really grabbed another gear. There's been an encore female that has recently been crowned supreme at the Georgia National Junior Livestock Show. There's been a Memphis mafia bull that we're going to offer semen on here later in the sale that England Showstock and Matt Lautner have picked up to go ahead and promote called Turning Point. Think he was pretty well received in the yards there at Denver this year. And last year in the commercial division for the Indiana State Fair, there was a 24 carat female that colder showed and she was reserve crossbred at Indiana State Fair and also was in the top five of the females at the junior nationals for the Bretonone division as well. So pretty unique when across multiple bulls. She can work that many times. Obviously the hits different thing I think is unique because those would be dual registering cattle. And I think whether you want to raise show cattle or sell a bunch of them or kind of no matter what your end point is, the dual registered thing just offers so much more versatility.

Lot 11 is next and these are going to be one for alls out of your Zoe cow which you call J. These will be main on Jews. There's three to be offered. And the female that is pictured just looks so unique.

Yeah. So a lot 11 213J's out of one for all. If you haven't heard about 213J here lately in the last two years. I'm not sure you know what your cell service looks like or where you live, but you might have been in a pretty remote area I guess because that Zoe female was the high seller and wine gardener sale in the fall of 2021. The harvest of excellence grabbed there by Jake Cunningham and the Senate family. She went ahead and was campaigned to multiple top fives at some pretty big shows like king of the ridge and who's your beef congress and things of that nature. And then went on into the donor pen and just has knocked it out of the park across multiple matings. There's been some all me's that lucky strike crew Kelton Arthur showed to multiple national championships at Louisville and Denver and Oklahoma City. And then this one for all mating has also really just kind of hit it out of the park. That would be a full sib to the high selling main Andrew female at Will Coors for over a hundred thousand. There's been a couple others that topped Adam Shelste's pasture sale there in South Dakota. The Henney family bought one private treaty that has won her division in the commercial show at Hoosier beef Congress. And recently this spring grabbed I mean just about every top five show that you can here in Indiana. And I think it's pretty easy to see that those cattle are going to go ahead and compete on through the summer and hopefully into the fall. So I think it really doesn't matter your sales tactic or where you want to show these cattle are going to work. They're high main cattle. So even on into the donor pen with these, you know you can breed them anyway and make maintainers really unique. Opportunity and I think just kind of one word for them. Absolutely high quality.

Yes, sir. I completely agree. Lot 12 is next. And you switch it up a little bit. This is club calf indicative embryos. These would be In God We Trust out of the Starburst female. Talk to me. Obviously the female listed there in the pictures is extremely high quality and very unique.

Yes, she is a do what's right out of Minner Gabby 980G. She was raised there by Smith Acres in Ohio. They call her Starburst. And I knew you would like this one, Weston, because I know you got a little show steer guy in yet. But Jake and them decided to go ahead and do her to In God's We Trust. She is a triple clean female as well. Him and Jake has an in God on the ground now that he's really excited about. But there's a pretty good story behind this one. So I was in college when Jake bought this one. And if any of you know Jake Cunningham, you know that sometimes his main communication line is Snapchat. But if you get a call from him, it's usually pretty serious. And he was looking for heifers for colder. And I got a call one evening and he said, I, I found the one. This thing is so unique. She's stout, she's the best structured female I've seen all year. She's good bodied, she's awesome. From side, like he was just going on and on about her. I was like, oh my gosh, where is this thing? And he's like, well, she's yellow and she's in Ohio. And I was like, oh, boy, what are we getting into? Jake and a few other really good stockmen went ahead and went together and purchased this one. One of those guys being Jared Werning up there in South Dakota. And you know, if he's involved in one, it's pretty good. Take that. She's probably going to do big things. Jared and Jake both have In God We Trust out of this female. They're really, really high on them. And I, if I would venture to bet you'll see a bunch of them here this fall. I would say bid confidently on this lot. It's a little different for us, but like I said in the beginning, there's a want to go towards the show steer thing. I think it's hot right now. And when Jake Cunningham puts his mind to something, it's pretty hard to stop him.

I'm a huge fan of that lot. Well, lot 13 is next. These are gonna be dignities on the Female, you call BB and talk to me about what that female's done for the program and the. The cattle and progeny y' all been able to get out of that meeting.

Absolutely. So kind of another young donor for us. And you know, a few of these young donors that we're talking about, maybe, you know, maybe they're four year olds or something like that. But when, you know, we have a female, I'm going to track back a little bit like 21, 18 in the birdie cow. A couple of these ones maybe didn't get utilized as hard in their first year as probably what they should have been. So my senior year of high school, I drug this one around. I guess it would have my junior year of high school, I drugged this one around. She was one that we raised. Went on to be supreme champion at the Indiana State show as a bread known. And then also was supreme champion in the own side of the Indiana State Fair Open show in 2021. Really, really intriguing female. One of the deepest and most capacious females that I was ever involved in. And then so sound and correct from that point forward. Probably could give her just, you know, optical illusion things, a shot, more muscle combined with all of that just depth and body typ where I think dignity went ahead and added that for us. We have had a few calves out of her, a good time son out of her was an $8,000 purchase out of our first sale. And for an Angus steer, I feel like that was a pretty, pretty good sale for us. He went on to win his class there at junior nationals and a few other places. And then we've had two dignity bulls out of this conventional mating. One was sold to a guy for a herd bull. And those calves look pretty intriguing. And then the other one we had this past year and we're retaining him for a herd bull here. So we don't retain or keep a lot of bulls, but if they do, they're really good. And if you know me, that probably puts your faith in this mating as well. We haven't had a heifer yet, but I think, you know, just the body type and the balance and that extra shot of muscle coming from dignity, probably a pretty safe bet that they're going to be pretty intriguing. Obviously they're conventional, so probably changes it a little bit. But the male stock have been really good as well.

Yes, sir. Well, 14 and 15 are both offering one straw of semen out of Memphis Mafia and Turning point. What's your thoughts on those? And then after that we'll wrap the Preview up.

Yeah. So obviously lot 14, Memphis mafia semen. Pretty rare semen. It's stored at Transova in Maryland. I. I think it's just not a lot needs to be said about this lot. The Mafia bull's done a bunch for that breed and probably is part of the reason why the main and key deal is as hot as it is. Right. He's got a ton of utility, I guess, still in the cowherd today and probably can make really awesome show heifers or bulls alike. I think it'd be a good idea to go ahead and use him. We're fortunate to have a little bit of access, so that's why he's on here.

Yes, sir. Talk to me about Turning Point, how y' all acquired that.

Okay. Turning Point would be back on. He is a Memphis Mafia, and you heard me talk about him earlier there when I was discussing lot 10. That is a Memphis mafia out of the Sunny Cow. And kind of same thing on when Jake calls you about something. He was like, you really need. When you come over here to look at that bull back there in the back pen. And I was just like, oh, bull, okay. And went and studied him and like, just huge feet and legs, really hairy. Had plenty of power to him. His body types really good. But, you know, at that time, we're not exactly always bull people. So it was like, you know, where do. What's the next step when you have one of this quality? Nelson England went ahead and picked him up and then Matt Lautner had joined the team with Jake there at BC2. And I think it's just gone off great from that point. They've sold a little bit of semen on him. He's had a couple collections that have been really good, fortunate enough to be partners with Jake, and he wanted to throw it on here. I think it's an option. Awesome opportunity to get some.

With that said, I've stated before, you can find it on SC. It happens on April 5th. Not many live lots, but I think the quality is extremely high. And I think anybody who gets in on the genetic side of things and investing in that side will definitely see the benefit come out of it. So with that said, Mr. Brown, is there anything you want to tack on before we end it?
