All right everybody, so we have another preview. And what I'm really excited about is these private treaty previews. Obviously, Zach Bros is going to be on here with me. I'm very excited to be able to represent them. They have an awesome set of cattle out there. And Verbez, Texas, where they're going to have a phone bid off with a lot of high, high, high quality Americans. I'm very excited to discuss them, provide some clarity and provide any answers to questions if people are interested in them. So, Zach, talk to me about the program, how long it's been going, what the primary goal is, and then after that we'll go through the lots.
B
Yes, sir. I appreciate you here in this platform. Me and Bros cattle. My dad started this Bros cattle deal and my grandma did for us kids when we started showing about 25 years ago. I took over about probably 15 years. Dad kind of handed me the reins over about my sophomore year, high school. And since then we. And we always have been primarily focused on raising American cattle. Lightweights have kind of always been our deal. We were always smaller kiddos. We knew our round. We kind of stayed in it. As we got older, we kind of started raising bigger ones. We've gotten back to the lightweight deal because I'm about to have a niece and nephew start showing. Pretty excited about that here. About six or eight years ago, the o' Hara family from about Sliker County, Sliker county just south of us, asked me to kind of help take over their deal and for the same purpose. And that's what a bunch of these calves are, a collaboration of them buying calves, cows from us and using bulls of ours, and now them buying bulls that are full brothers to ours back on their cows. And that's what this is, a collaboration between the o' Hara's and us Bros cattle. And it's, it's going to be a fun ride, I think. And these cattle, like you said, are very, very fun and very fun to look at.
A
Absolutely.
B
To explain my cell format, I'm going to start all my calves at four grand. So we're going to go up by $250 bid increments. Books are open now. You can either place a bid or you can just write your name in on a calf and I will call you and tell you there's you and five others or you and two others and we're going to bid them off here. Then it'll just be close to those certain people that are on the list. You have to be on the list of a certain Kiff to be called. I don't have all of them pictured and videoed just a few of them because we ran out of daylight. But I'll reiterate this a few times. I do encourage any and everyone to come look at these things. They are very fun to look at and it's. It's better to put your eyes on anything than, than anything my opinion. And you never know what a. What a picture might hide from your own eye. I'm not trying to hide anything with my pictures, but you can, you can trick yourself. I've been that victim of myself a lot of times and I just, I'd really like people to come look at them. And the attitudes of these things are exceptional. I mean, it's. My cattle are known to be a little faster. This group is very slow. That's why picture day was so long. It was hard to get any, any attention grabbed by them because they, they really care about much. But with that said, I'm ready to talk about these things.
A
Absolutely, for sure. I'm real, real excited. So Obviously there's a YouTube link that we'll be able to share with everyone of the few select you were able to video. And I'm just going to kind of go through them all. But starting off, you got the tag 501. And I also get to look at his picture there. And that one is extremely intriguing in my mind. I love the color, but more so I love his build, I love his rib shape, his back shape. His hair quality is nice and should be fun individual to mess with over the summer. But I think that his flexibility and uniqueness of his type and kind should definitely be highlighted there at San Antonio or Houston.
B
Yes, sir. You nailed that one. This one's a fun one to start with too because this is the exact thing I just talked about about the collaboration with O Harrows and us. This is out of the very first daughter they ever bought from me and out of that penthouse bull, which is a full brother to Frankie's cathouse cowboy and also my dog, house bull. So it's kind of cool to see this work out how it. Oh, it has and how I think this is a very unique ke's. His profile, his picture I think speaks for itself and his feet and legs are exceptional. I like to start at the ground with all of my calves and I like everything going north and south, as my dad would say it. And this thing, everything is north and south. Square hock, square knee, square feet, square toes. Everything is good. And his legs, feet, you all the way up he's got a big square turn behind his leg, the blades and I'm a big sucker for a big back, especially that turn behind the shoulder and fill in that big barrel rib and he's got all of it. Plus he's a red white bellied one. Who doesn't love that, honestly.
A
Well, the next video that we get to look at would be tag 502. Obviously get to look at his picture as well. And just to be fully transparent, he might not be the coolest fronted one. He might have a little extra throat and chest. But I honestly also think that that helps along further down the road in terms of classification especially with how things are going over the last couple years for sure. But I love this calf stoutness a feature. I mean that's a big footed, big bone steer that definitely is able to utilize them right at the surface. He's got a big rib cage. I love his back shape as well. This calf's big hip level, hipped as well. Talk to me about him, what your thoughts are. I'd love to see this one as a slick calf down the road as well.
B
Yeah, this thing has soft hair. He'd be fun to have this summer. Get him, get your kiddo to go out there and at least get him looking right. He's not Fort Worth haired. He's definitely a San Antonio kit. This thing is intact and anything that I, I have that is intact will retain 50 semen on. There is a couple of these that I'm going to do a 5050 option on if they are left. A bull, this is not one of those. He is a 100% possession bull. Just a 50% semen back. I call this one Pooh Bear. Pooh Bear likes to have his head in the honey pot. He likes to eat. He takes them big bites. He's. He's a meat and potatoes calf like you said. He's a ground pounder. He's got a packed full of product I think is a lightweight girt, sand and tone. I think this one's pretty fun. It probably be a middleweight by Houston just because he does like to eat a lot. But Opu Bear here, he's. He's definitely a barn favorite. He'll catch your eye really fast. You, I mean you did nail him. He does have a little extra character and that is why he's still intact because I think this thing on a set of exotics, he's a penthouse on a light them up daughter man. I think that's going to be a very fun combination. Here the next few years out of our program.
A
Well, the next year that's. That's exhibited here on the YouTube link would be tag 514. Obviously you didn't slick this when you kind of kept the hair on him. And I think that's honestly really good because it goes to show how dense haired he was and still is. I think this is an awesome lightweight or potential middleweight there at Fort Worth. I think that the calf is extremely flexible at the surface. I love his proportions and symmetry from the side. And I do like the fact that he's still good character. And just talking about his future, what you think of him. I also read him to be an awesome slick calf as well.
B
Yeah, you nailed that hair. I like his hair. He's got the good, fluffy, soft hair. It's hard to get on these Americans and make it look right. This one's mama actually raised a second place red Angus at San Antonio last year out of one of my American bulls. Believe it or not, this one just actually come out how he's supposed to. With that said, I think he slicks as a lightweight girt or he can be a haired lightweight Fort Worth calf. I think that'd be a very fun place for him. I personally, because I'm a slick, sheer guy, would love to see that thing at Houston. But that thing, I'm a sucker for one with a good, sexy head and like the nice jawline. That thing has a sexy head on him. He is. He's what a show steer should look like, in my opinion. He didn't take the best pictures on picture day, but I thought he took a pretty good video. And that thing in person will impress you. He likes to be a show steer now, finally. But we're getting there. And he's. He's going to be a fun one here in about 30 or 45 days. Once, like all these things, they're just green, yet it's still early on. They're true fall borns. And that's another one of those early September calves. It's just. It's just now starting to get rolling on feed.
A
Awesome. Well, next would be tag 512. And I love this color, the just dark cherry red. And I love his character as well. You left him clipped out. I do think that this calf, under the right place in Texas and right family, could have a shot at Fort Worth. I do see him to be a very competitive calf there, but I do imagine seeing this one slicked off somewhere around San Antonio. Houston. Time to be extremely competitive as well. Just due to the fact of how flexible he is in terms of his lower joint work, as well as just his symmetry, lines and proportions. I'm fired up about this one.
B
Yeah, this one. To say gets me excited would be an understatement. There's a. There's. You're not supposed to tip your hand or anything on what, what your. Your favorites are. But I call this one Clifford. Clifford the Big Red Dog. He. This would be my, my favorite of the barn. He's probably the skinniest one and that is why I chose to leave it. And he has a soft hair. That's why I chose to leave him. Hair it up and kind of help him out a little bit. Not show off his ribs just yet, but his. You nailed the color. I love his color. You can't make one any prettier red color, in my opinion, especially for Cowtown and the way his pasterns and hawks flow. That thing can go walk on concrete for three weeks if you want him to. He'll still be able to walk. Yeah. One, that one's going to be very fun for whoever ends up with him. And I'm. I'm excited for the road ahead of that one because even if we have to go to Houston with that one, like you said, as a girt, that's 100% fine with me because like I said just while ago, I love slicking these things off.
A
Well, next would be the tag 25. And personally I. I love these gold cover, gold colored, lighter yellowed calves. And I really do think that this is like a moderate, easy feeding one that's going to slick off and be an awesome lightweight or middleweight. I love his feature. I love his rib shape, I love his back shape and I definitely love his symmetry and look from the side as well. I mean, that's a tight throated chested steer that's going to look really awesome there no matter what slick show he ends up at.
B
Yes, sir, I'd agree. He's a for sure lightweight. I call this one Butterball. He's a little. He was. He was the one that I think ate all of my creep feet out of the creep feeders. But he, he is my first Holy Grail I had born. Holy Grail is a bull that we bought from Horn a couple years ago and this would be the first set of calves out of them. This would be the first calf out of him. He's supposed to be an American. He's not. His head and ears are not right. I will be the first to tell you That I do think he's a very competitive lightweight aoc although and he is a bar. He is an absolute. I posted on my Facebook earlier a picture. I set him up like a sheep during picture day that kept just stood there. He didn't care that I rolled around on the ground. He. He just stood there the whole time. He's everybody's favorite. He's. He's so smooth made. He's so big ribbed. He's so big everywhere for such a little guy. He is still intact and he is one that will be a 5050 deal. If the buyer was to leave him intact. I will retain 50% because I do want to breed this thing back to my American cows. I. I think this one has the presence it takes to be a lightweight and be a mature lightweight. That. That doesn't look like a midget. I think he's going to have the grow to him. He's not going to be a middleweight growth but he's going to look like a good lightweight. Not. Not a midget lightweight, if you know what I mean by that.
A
Well, tag741 is next. Another red colored calf that is extremely good in terms of the angle to his shoulder. In terms of the use and utilization of his hind leg. I do like this calf as a slick one. I'd like to know if you think his hair quality is good enough to make Fort Worth because I think him at Fort Worth would be intriguing as well. Just the way he utilizes his hind leg and also just how stout featured he is. And he looks like a big footed calf. Talk to me about what your thoughts are on him. I do. Really intrigued by this calf.
B
Yeah, this one is the. He's the. The freak of the pen. He's a little. A little wilder built. He's got the bigger hip, he's got the wilder neck. He's got. I mean everything about him is just wild featured. He is still intact and he is another one of those 50, 50 deals. If left intact, I would like to keep 50% possession on him. This thing is out of a bull I call Hasbulla, which is a WB on a powerstroke Simbro cow that I got from Mike Mustin. That cow, I don't remember her number but she was a black baldy cow. There's a few of those bulls that floated around. I got the only solid colored one. I got a red one. Everybody else's was paint it up and he stood through holding the red color and I kind of like it. This one's mama come from Joe Baron's and she's a freak made semi cow just to give him a little background on what his genetics are. And he is, he's. He's very good haired. I slicked him off because I love his rib. This thing's rib needs shown off. He's got a huge hip, he's got a huge hind leg and his barrel shape in the middle is insane for one that has not been on creep feed very long. He's. He's finally just starting to take off and get his head in the feed bunk pretty good. And man, I think this thing in another 30 days is going to wow the heck out of some people.
A
And I know that you said you're not supposed to really show your hand or show your cards. Bloomberg said it best. I'm not good with a poker face and the first time I saw this tag 506 cash video and I about lost it, I called a couple people and got their opinions on the calf and immediately knew this was arguably one of my favorites of the sale just due to the fact of his character for one, I think is spot on. But to be that cool looking and still come with that kind of rib shape and back shape and length and size of hip and still utilize his hind leg correctly. He is so unique from the profile just being tight throated and chested. I do see this thing being an awesome Fort Worth contender there at middle or heavyweight, depending on what part of Texas he gets in. But I also see him being an awesome, incredible six tier in San Antonio.
B
Yeah, no, you nailed it. He had, he had excellent hair. The reason he's quartered is because he did have a case of lice and mange and his neck was pretty eaten up and I thought it was best for his hair coat and hide coat quality just to slick it off and restart. Man, I think that might have done him better because this thing looks great quartered. It just kind of shows off. He does have true muscle, true shape, true everything. He's just very green. I think this thing is a middleweight in Fort Worth like you said, is absolutely insane because he has a freak front. I've. It's. It's hard to make an exotic with the front that tight, that the chest that wide and so crisp and so high set out of his shoulder blade that he's. I mean he's a show steer. He loves it. He loves everything about the show steer life. He's another one of those penthouses and his mama goes back to Goose and Goose was a bull. I bought from thigpen which was a dabo Massey. This thing is. He. He's built like Goose, and I. I like that. That's a. That's a big complime. Think this one has a very bright future, whether you want to go to Houston with him or slick him off in those green shavings in Houston. I'm. I'm all for that one.
A
Yes, sir. For sure. Well, tag 505 is next. And this is kind of your simbra of the group. From what we've talked about prior to this. He obviously, he's got a little white to his sheath. He's got a little extra character, so I think he makes it for sure. In my mind, this calf is an awesome contender there at San Antonio or even Houston, depending on where he ends up, what family he ends up with. And Honestly, just what, 12 o' clock reads right for him. But I love this calf's density. I love his rib cage, I love his back shape, and I do really think that he's an awesome and sound structured calf as well. What are your thoughts?
B
Yeah, no, I'd agree with everything again on that one. He's. He's another one of my holy grails. He goes back to bring his cow, my dad's, that goes back to Dennis Poole and Colton Earhart's family. Cow families. She's a brangus cow, and, man, I wish this thing had just a little bit bigger, more tighter, screw in his head just so my knees could show him, because I love this thing. This is my dad's favorite of the barn. It's not even close in his mind, and my dad is not a fan of a pan full of red and yellow ones. My dad doesn't normally go for the black one, and he did. He goes, that thing is incredible. He said, just read his feet and legs, and they are. He goes, go from there, and you start working your way up. He has a huge foot. He has huge legs, and it just builds from there all the way up. Everything about him just reads San Antonio and Cimbal to me. And I think that one as a lightweight or he might even get to be a middleweight, because I do know how that cow's calves generally grow. And they. They'll have so much meat in them. They might look like a lightweight, but they're going to weigh 1300 pounds. And sometimes that's all right. He's not going to be small or extra moderate. He's just going to be a more moderate package kept. Kind of depends on, like you said, who gets him and how they feed him and what they really want to do. I think that one has a very bright future and that he has me excited for holy grail. He is still int and he's another one of those 5050 deals. If somebody wanted to go breed him to some exotic cows, I'm all for it because I would not mind kicking him back out on my exotic cows.
A
Well, tag 500 will be the last one in terms of a video that you can find on the YouTube link. And I think this one replicates 506 in a lot of ways just due to the fact of how long necked, high tying he is and still come with a tidy and neat throat and chest floor. But I do think this calf is awesome in terms of his proportions. I think in the end, obviously he doesn't read to be just an extremely burly or bold rib calf in his video or picture. But I think with the right time, TLC and feed, that'll all start to balance out once his fore rib and rear flank fill in. And I do really like this Cap's building just the way his hawk is designed and especially his pastern as well.
B
Yeah, this thing, he's another one of those penthouse sons. Penthouse on a lot them up. Dakota gold cow. And if I'm going to be honest, this thing is a freak of nature. Like he. He is the. He's the one in the pen that. He's the show steer. He knows he's the show steer. He's the. He's the high school quarterback that walks down the halls and thinks that he's better than everybody else. That kind of mentality. He's a little faster. I wouldn't recommend him for a little kid. He's not mean, he's not stupid. He's just fast. And in his defense, I've only tied these things up about 10 times. And the group's so sound. I really don't care to tie him up a whole, whole lot more because it just kind of stunts them and I don't like swollen heads. This thing has an. His. His neck set. I have so many pictures of this thing in the picture pen. He was, he was the promo pit kiff. He likes to be pictured and videoed. He's. He's got a huge, huge hip on him for a little guy. His hip is massive, square, flat, wide, all the things you want. And he carries his meat very low into all portions of him. And for being skinny and having so much true shape down low, my dad always told us, he said you read their forearm and you read their stifle. I'm reading that one's forearm and stifle and his rib is starting to come on more. He's on feed and he's starting to get that big old crease down his back. For a skinny one to have a little groove in their back is pretty impressive. And that one's starting to get a pretty big one.
A
Another calf that I'd like to talk about that you got pictured and we had a conversation before about how he was just a little bit of a two dog gentle in the picture pen. So you didn't get the best video, but I think his picture speaks volumes. First I'd like to know if he's pulled, if he could make a bring a steer, if someone wanted to slick him. But just doing the postgame with Frank Ward for Fort Worth and knowing what kind of hind leg he's looking for right out the gate in terms of being burly and useful. He reads to have that kind of burly, useful hind leg and he has obviously the hair quality to make it there. But I would like to know his options as well for anybody that's interested.
B
Yes, sir. That 508, that's another. That's a, that's a double bread. Lot him up. That's a, that's one I'm very proud of. I call him Big X. Big X is a very chill guy. That's how this Kev is. He's very laid back. He doesn't care. I recommend him for any age. Showman. He is smooth polled, but I think he is, if not the best, one of the best Fort Worth Kev we've ever raised or had come through here and he, he's got cowtown in my opinion, middleweight written all over him. He's got huge squishy feet, massive hip and like I said, he, he has the personality. I wouldn't care who, who you send in the ring because he knows what he's doing. It took 30 minutes, day one, for him to figure out he wanted to be a show steer. He pulled back on the halter, then he stood up, pulled him out of the alleyway and I set him up and he, he's been grade A since then. This cat, he does have a hernia. I will keep him six weeks post sale. I will not accept any money until, and I will guarantee him 100% off of this unless me and whoever buys them has other arrangements. That's how I'm going to go about this. I'm going to be straightforward with Everybody on that 508 does have a hernia and I will have him guaranteed 100% before he ever leaves my barn. Yes sir.
A
For sure. Well obviously you have a many, many others in terms of private treaty caps that aren't in this phone bid off and maybe some others that you'd like to talk about. So walk me through and then after that we can kind of wrap up with some extra comments.
B
Yes sir. I got. Got a couple more that we didn't get pictured of my own. I got my lone exotic of the group. He's a little lightweight main. He's a red white legged, white bellied thing. I think he's pretty sharp. He's out of a holy grail, that horn bull mine and then a Tonto daughter which is a Newman bull. And this thing is skinny. But I, I like him. I like the heck out of him. And I don't generally venture off and raising these exotics. It's not kind of my forte. I'm more of the American deal. But I kind of wanted to raise me a lightweight shorthorn and this thing come out just not quite short horned but he's big ribbed, big hipped. He's got the pretty, pretty front end, beautiful feet and legs. He's skinny. That's why we did not picture him because he's one of those that would not take a picture. And he wasn't acting quite right on the halter either. Not fighting it just didn't set up quite show ready. This is why I encourage people to come look at these things because when you see this one in person he's one of those that's going to impress you pretty good. Is that everything about him? He just, it's just right about him and it's. He's a fun easy feeding one and it doesn't matter what age showman you have, you can send him, him or her out in the show ring and just go have fun with that one. Another one we didn't get pictured. There's. There's three of them that I got sent to me. Coy Killer Meyer and the Killer boys are very fond, very close friends of ours and their dad Lonnie was, was a very close friend of ours. He's now passed but he Coy asked me if I'd help clip and market his calves and I said sure, definitely. Especially when I saw these things. Holy smokes. First one I'll talk about is tag 51. He's a Brangis calf out of dynamite is what they call him which is be formally known as Frankie's neighbors bull which is a full brother to Frankie's patriot. This thing is what I call a South Texas special. He's big legged, rugged looking and just massive everywhere. Huge hip show steer build, he's super skinny. But this thing will be a middle or heavyweight at San Antonio and I think this thing on the turf is beautiful because he's panther legged, panther footed. He goes out and just gets it and he doesn't never misses a beat at the feed trough. He loves it minded like a freaking house cat. He, he could go home with anybody's kiddo and I'd be very confident that they're going to get that one shown. They also have a little one that I'm going to call quote Kid Rock on this one. This one's an American badass. This one's just little, he's just for sure lightweight. They he goes back to one of Lonnie's old cows. We're not real sure how any Lonnie's cows are bred because he didn't write anything down. But one of his 16, 17 year old American cows and a bull that they bought from Thick Pen that John center raised they call Mac. He's a little yellow bull. He's built like a Mack truck is why his name is Mac. This thing is a gray brindle with very, very good hair. And he will always be a lightweight. He'll be a lightweight at Fort Worth and he'll be a lightweight at Houston. And I'm, I'm telling you, if you, you have a kiddo that you have a first year, this is him. This is him. I'm promise I can't talk enough about this one. I could sit here and talk a long time about him. Everything about him. Huge feet, huge legs. He gets around and glides. Big hip, big stifle, massive rib. And this thing is little and skinny. To be an end of November Kev look this good this early is pretty impressive. I think this one has nothing but the utmost best potential on him. And then the last one in the bit off is going to be tag 47. He's another one of those killer Marquez out of Mac and goes back to a Hereford cross cow. Don't dog him on that. His hair is just a little kinky because of it. He's skinny as all get out. He has very good hair. It's just kind of Hereford haired and you get it blown out enough, it looks very pretty. He's got big pieces about him. He's got beautiful feet and legs on him and to be a red baldy with the white sheath. There is a lot of options you can do with that, especially with good hair. And this is another one of those is why I say people need to come look. Is this thing in person? I haven't pictured this one. I haven't pictured any of these killermeyer calves because them things, they're skinny and they, those Kev's just don't picture right. People can't read them on pictures and that kind of turns them away. In my opinion. Those are the ones you come and look at in person and they kind of, they grab your attention a little bit. And that's, that's kind of what I like to do. I like to have kevs around that you have to come look at them to find them. And that's, that's definitely what a few of these are. And that's why I encourage any and everyone that can come look at these things. It's worth it.
A
Very grateful to be able to have you come on. I'm extremely excited about doing some of these private treaty previews. I think that it's extremely beneficial due to the fact that one, that they're not exhibited essentially on an online platform and it probably provides some traffic, but also provides the breeder just to express his thoughts on quite a few. And so I think that is beneficial. With that said, is there any else you'd like to talk about or communicate on before it's obviously time to start bidding and everything of that nature there?
B
I do have a pen, pen of calves that are sitting next to these things. They weren't quality cut, they weren't quality checked. They're just calves that got brought in later. My feed bill is big enough and I didn't want to add to it too soon. I have 23 calves at the barn. Fifteen of them are in the bid off. The rest of them are available private treaty. What I consider very reasonably priced. They're very, very high quality in my opinion. They're a little skinnier than the ones that are in the bid off is kind of why they're set back. They are another, another reason why I think it's good to go out and look and just, just something that, that I've always been taught and everything is go out and pick your own tomatoes. And I think it's a good thing to go your own tomatoes before you pick them. And I think that's, that's a very good, good thing that people should start doing. I know all these online deals and I'm not knocking any online deal because I'm, I love them. I think online sales are great. I, I would just rather go out and look at these things in person myself and I'm kind of more old school way and I'd rather my, my people come look and let's have a conversation. I want to know what you want. I don't want to know what you see in my calves because I, I know how my calves are gonna breed or kind of feed and stuff. I've kind of got a pretty good idea. I think that's what I kind of pride myself on is I, we, we've done this, we've raised our stuff, we've raised our own bulls, we've raved our. Raised our own cows. And we study how things. Things are and me and my brothers, we, we what we call cuss and discuss about things and we try to make, make everything have the utmost potential they can. And it's, it's easier to iterate that to people when, when they're face to face and you can kind of see everybody's goals and lay everything on the table. And that's kind of the relationship I want to build with people. I want, I want to be able to hear goals and let's, let's achieve those goals. Let's get to the backdrop and let's, let's make those kiddos smile.

Absolutely 100% agree with that said, obviously I've stated it before, but I'll reiterate it. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity. I always love sitting down and describing and talking about American show steers, especially ones of this high quality in a matter of just 15 head, but I'm sure also others. So with that said, y' all know how to contact Zach Bros. Obviously we'll list that and we'll also list the YouTube link for you to check out a few along with a few other pictures. And I hope that you, if you're looking for some, this would definitely be a great stop to look at and definitely talk to someone who cares about the end points of these cabs and getting them there. So with that said, empowerment's here. Thank you all for tuning in.
