Yes, another preview and I'm very, very excited for this one. Mr. Devin Fraker has been able to trust me to go through his, his bred, heifer and cow sale here on Steer Better. It happens on the 27th of December. Today's the 21st when we're recording. This will be out on the 22nd. So I'm pretty excited. There's some phenomenal prospects and phenomenal donors in here. I've been able to look through it quite a bit and study it. They've done a phenomenal job getting these things ready. They look awesome. I'm going to let Mr. Fraker and also Mr. Holmes, he's here to introduce themselves and then we're going to dive into the lots.
B
Oh yeah, Devin Fraker here. Yeah, we put together a bread sale. We call it, calling it the workingclass Female Sale. I, I used to be involved in a sale. There was a live auction that we called the Working Class. We kind of, kind of depleted that deal but so I kept the name and kept it rolling and, and I think we brought a pretty good set of breads here for you guys. But yeah, me and my wife Channing Fraker and I've got four kiddos, Dane and Kenzie and Cruz and Dax Fraker. So I got three boys and a girl here at home and manning the fort and my father and my stepmom Dennis and Deborah Fraker. That's where the cows are held and I've got my place here. We always have our fall sales and we usually hold about 3, 4 fall sales, show calves and do a lot of trading and selling stuff. We raise.
A
Awesome, awesome. Mr. Holmes, how about you?
C
Yeah, I'm Jared and I farm and run a trucking company with my wife Megan and our four daughters, Kestin, Kenna and Cora. We're from Ainsworth, Iowa and really appreciate Devin and his family bringing us in to put this sale together. We put our food on the table kind by operating Holmes Livestock Logistics. We kind of haul all classes of hogs and, and cattle throughout Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. And we kind of started our cow herd through heifer projects of our daughters and through went through a lot of trial and error and expensive learning lessons and you know, looked at, to surround ourselves with people that knew what they were doing and asked a lot of questions and kind of went from buying heifers to, for the kids to show, to buy an embryos to turn around and, and buying donors and, and now being out on the prowl for the top 1% females in the industry. So we run about 20 donors and 200 head of resips and kind of start time to start, you know, putting, putting the years of work out to the open market.
A
Absolutely.
C
So again, thanks for Dennis and Devin and their families for inviting us in on this and you know, when we were loading them up to take them to Dennis to Devens, it was, it was one of them sorts that you didn't want to do and you kind of had to shut your eyes and push them all out the gate and get them on the trailer and get them out of here. Otherwise you're going to start second guessing yourself because you know, I guess at the end of the day you just can't keep them all. So I tell people we're all kind of pushing the chips toward the center and here they are, the best of what we got.
B
We loaded them all.
A
Loaded them all. That's right. Well, starting off with lot one, I don't know if there's necessarily a better way you could start off. You got an Angus female that is AI to Ma. We all. She's an alpha 028 over a Sarah's Dream 1339 looks insanely unique from the profile. High tying big ribs stout featured for an Angus as well. Talk to me about how y' all have acquired her and what y' all think her future looks like.
C
Hardest one to put on the trailer. Tyler Humphrey was out scattering the country for me last year and called me about this. This isn't the first time this heifer's been a lot one. She was a lead off for the Silvera sale last year and he called me and said that we needed to have her and she is a three quarter sister to Primo himself.
A
Wow.
C
She's kind of. Kind of. Like I say, she's a special one and for us to get this thing going off the ground, we felt it was imperative to put it all out there. And a selfish part of me wants to keep half of her but I know how frustrating that is sometimes when you're a buyer. I am going to put or reserve two flushes and I will probably be using those. I think her to new heights would be off the chain and I think that this one pays for herself in a. In a New York minute.
A
Yes sir.
B
100%. So then in lot two present presence is second to none.
A
Yes sir. No, A hundred percent.
B
Yep.
A
No presence.
B
Presence is second to none on and.
A
Then y' all are structure's awesome.
B
Presence is awesome.
A
Yes sir. Retaining two successful flushes with a minimum of six embryos from each flush. Is what that reads. Is that correct?
C
Yes.
A
Awesome. Well then in lot two you got a high key female. She's an encore Feddy. Feddy is an O41Y over Hudeman. She is a th and pha carrier. She's a spring of 2024. She's been AI'd to dirty Mike which is an on the marks over trails end. That's an Angus bull. Talk to me why y' all AI'd her to that bull and what y' all see in this female and what her future looks like.
C
Oh, so we bought Fetty with MPJ endured warning and the thing is 2022 embryos on snow sale. And that was kind of, I won't lie to you, spent a week on the couch over that purchase. But it ended up being one of the, one of the best things we've ever done. I mean that, that cow, she. I can't remember what I ate for lunch today, let alone how many shows that cow herself has won and what her progeny has done. She's one of those that you can just about line up any bull in the cattle visions magazine and throw at her and she's going to put something out. These next three females are kind of those. These, these have been in our show string before and we just can't keep them all. So the encore, the first one here that sell and she, she's something. I mean when you get a rope neck like that and that much body and presence and I mean I don't even know how to describe her other than she's just completely out there. So kind of. Yeah, I don't know. She, she's special. And you go, you drop down into. Into the next sister here bar named Donut. She's just one that the belly and the substance and everything to her is incredible. So all three of these females different but just absolute powerhouses. And then you drop into the third one, she's the clean sister. And I think these things make females. I mean we have a lot of fatty daughters around here and they make females all day. To me, the, the th carrier ones, I'm not too worried about them, especially when we take them to purebred Angus bulls or high main bulls. We got a one for all out of her in our show string this current year that I think is a. Is a force of nature. So like I say there and if you want to try the steer side too, that's where you go into that Lot 4 and the clean one or you know, if you're not scared and you want to crack the bat at it. I mean, I think they can make steers too. Just going to have a little more risk on that side of the ball.
A
100% for sure. Well then in Lot 5, y' all offer a maintainer female. That's a Memphis Mafia over that Addie Cal of Yalls and she's a crowd pleaser over Monopoly. She is triple clean from what it looks like. And that's actually really sought after for her pedigree.
C
Yeah, she is the. She's the steer mama of the bunch for as far as what our portion of the offering is. So Addie's a crowd pleaser. Monopoly we bought as a kiff from Jason Minard over there. A lot of our females kind of stem from, from his line of genetics. So I mean that this Lot 5, she was in our straw string as well this year. And I mean, she's a full sister. All the steers we sold in June off the cow are full sibs to these. Excuse me. Take that. They are out of the Addy cow. Tyler Rogers and Todd Caldwell socked them up and gave 30 for two of them right out of the field on the cow. And she's right with them here. So just, I mean, a tabletop back. I mean, you get on that rear three quarter, she just wows you. She. She's the steer mama maker in my mind.
A
Yes, sir, for sure. Well then lot six, you got a half semi maintainer female. She's a. Change is coming over a prominent cow that is seen in this sale multiple times. Y30, 137F. She's a data bank female. And spring of 2024, she is clean and AI to may we all. And we can talk about all of these, these 137F if you'd like. For sure.
B
Yeah. The 137F cow we acquired from Wisecap family that, that, that was showing. Derek Wisecup showed him. He's actually playing for Iowa now as a linebacker. But they ended up. They bought this heifer and, and showed her a little bit and decided to quit showing her in the middle of the season because he was going to dedicate to more sports and, and whatnot. And this thing was incredible. Built like a donner cow. And we acquired this cow from them when they quit showing and hung up the hat and man, I'm glad we did because we sold, we sold several of them out of that cow. So Hecker first calf was by Uno Mas, the old Cavanese Scimitol bull. Uno Mas. And she went on to be a 13 time supreme champion for the Tim family and rocked it that year in Iowa. I think she was probably the most winningest heifer in Iowa that year. But anyway, we, we got a change is coming. We, we got a natural calf out of her. A change is coming. We decided to go Scimitol on her. She's a three quarter blood main. The 130 cow is. And, and we went Scimitol on her again and, and it didn't disappoint. But yeah, we bred her to May we all and she is stuck AI'd for a February 7 calf. But she is one of. She's. She's one of our favorites in the sale. And Holmes was Holmes with a degree. Walking around out there and you're walking through the sale and you're like, dang, that thing hits you every time. Every time you walk by. Soggy body, awesome feet and legs, awesome presence, length of spine, length the neck, length of hip, everything's there. Looks like she's going to be an incredible cow. Absolutely. And then we go down here to the. The tag 7, lot 107. And so she'd be a full sib. We did her to all me. Flush her all me. And we got several of them babies this this fall. We sold several. One went to Jeremy Clark. Bought one out of our September sale. His daughter's showing one of them. I think she was third overall at a show here a while back. AJ Line bought one private and went out to. Who was that? Oh, Reed Sutth. Reed Sutter took her up there. Reed Sutte's little sister had showed her at that boo bash show. Ended up being reserved up there. I think there was 400 heifers up there.
A
Wow.
B
And then John Griswold ended up buying her out of that sale at a Reed Sutteth sale. And so his, his kids show on that one this year. Supposedly we haven't seen her on the show circuit down there yet, but they just got done with their sale so we'll see what goes on with that one. But this is a full sib to those ones so it's a pretty good opportunity there. And then we did her right when we got her, we did her to Lot Lot 8. We did her to Luton. You don't see very many Lutons for sale anymore. And I just thought, man, make cows. Let's make some cows. So we did her to Luton and, and it worked out really good and she stuck AI to May we all for January 20th. But I mean the length and the, the presence that thing is so tall fronted and so sound and just awesome skull honor and the ear set and everything is that thing is going to make. That thing's going to generate dollars and. And I'm pretty proud of that one. So. Yes, Those are the 137. That cow's done a lot for us and I think, I think it kind of sucks to sell these things, but we do this thing for a living. So we gotta, we gotta, we gotta let go of the good stuff here once in a while. So.
A
Well then, lot nine, you got a high main and low key female. So she's a dual. Dual paper. Correct? Correct.
C
This one I went to the dog traveling around in the fall and went to the Stutzman boys place there in hills and. And she was sacked away in a back pen and absolutely punched me right in the face. Especially with how hot this, this main deal is getting. And then I've always had an infatuation with that rowdy cow. So she's a gronk Ali rowdy coming up there from the out of the brothers out of Wisconsin. So she, she was a buy for us there. Spent time in our show barn, kicked her out and just kind of was going to make a cow out of her. And then like I say, when we kind of had them all together, Devin and I, we just load them all up and. And here she is. So went with the safety first option. We kind of just threw him at most of our heifers here, you know, tried to get a quality good experience for the heifer to have it and then get something sellable on the backside. But I think her being a high main with that pedigree sky's the limit on what to do next.
A
Well then in Lot 10 you got a limb flex that you'll have up for offering. She's a perfect timing 49G. And from what I've noticed, just being in the heifer world briefly, these limb flexes are known for being extremely dense and burly. And this one represents that 100% clean female. It's the spring of 2024. Talk to me about what you all think her future looks like.
C
I have an abfactuation with that 49g cow, Timmy Schaefers. My daughter showed one last year. She was a no limit that one Kansas City and was reserved at Louisville with. And when we saw this one I was already sold just on the bottom side. So this perfect timing deal she sold at Tice's and again she was in our show barn there. Absolutely love the hind leg that 49G puts on them. I don't care what the sire is but anytime I see 49G on any female I'm. I'm interested. So. And like you said, I mean this thing's just a burly, burly brood cow that's that's ready to go rock.
A
Yeah. Then a lot 11 y' all have a club calf cow prospect in the making. Y' all are going to retain two successful flushes on her with a minimum of six embryos from each flush. She's out of the legendary how great thou art over a holy smoker driving 80 monopoly female. She'll be a spring of 2024. He's a DS carrier and th and pha clean looks like that y' all had a AI or or Pete or pasture what to Eazy and so talk to me about this this female that y' all are offering and what y' all think her future looks like.
B
So this this how great he's been a standout ever since she was born and said the whole all along that I just earmarked her for keeping because I thought she was probably clean and her head was smooth and she is stout featured and awesome structured and soft, soft legged and big bodied and I just love her and I was going to retain half of her and we ended up not doing that. We're going to keep two flushes on her. That driving 80 monopoly grandam my cousin showed her and we did her to holy smoker and we took her took that cow back to how great and them how great females. I do believe they're going to make awesome cows and I think a lot of them are going to be clean are clean. We she. She slept her calf late there and we. I seen her get bred by Easy E and when we preg checked them she was due the end of March. So I mean we did not AI this thing later we just let the bull have her and figured we'd offer for sale anyways. But because she's just her quality just overrides her not being a'd up early. But her quality is very high and and I think there's a lot of money to be generated on this thing. She's just, she's just. She's put together as well as anything.
A
Well then Starting in Lot 12 you have a multitude of 300 females that we can kind of go through. But to start off in Lot 12 you got a main Angus and she's sired by Memphis mafia spring of 2024 and was AI to safety first Talk to me about her and the rest of her. The rest of those 300 females?
C
Yeah, three hundreds. The kind of cornerstone to what got us going. I hauled her and a slug other bulls out to Denver for Joe Burns. Way back, way, way back before we even started showing. And she, she fastly turned into the coolest Angus cow I'd ever seen in my entire life. So once my daughters got old enough, we started showing naturally. The first calf we bought from Burns's was a. Was a 300 daughter. And then the very next year we had another 300 daughters. So I convinced Joe that they sol of 300. I'm kind of that pesky guy, you know, the Mangus guys don't like to do a whole lot of different things. And I wanted to just turn that all the main bulls loose on that cow. And I think that they make the most functional females. I mean, you get the maternal side from the Angus and put some power and punch and some bone and. And some, some toys on those things yet they're still really, really functional females. So these, these sluit nerds in there are just that way. And she's kind of late in her life right now to where, you know, we're just main thing going on her. And there's a lot of yearling daughters that are going to hit the showstring for us and other folks here this year that we're excited about, but just, just really good cattle. I mean, we can save some time. And again, it doesn't matter which way you do it. And again, I have an infatuation with man Angus cows. So that's what these, these slug of them kind of represent. You got the mafia, the one for alls and the all mes and extremely consistent females that I think are functional. And they're the kind of cow that I want to run. So that's what they are. And that's kind of what we did them for. We'd kind of sell those, those better ones as Rochelle heifers. And then there's nothing wrong with these either. But why there's so many of them as I had intentions of turning these into mama cows for our herd.
A
Mr. Fraker had mentioned about Lot 18. She's a half semi. But out of the 300 cow, she's pretty special is what he was kind of mentioning earlier.
C
Oh, yeah, yeah.
B
She.
C
She's in a league of her own. She. She's something. Absolutely love that one. And that was one when we were kind of throwing stuff at the wall. There weren't very many of them, but you Know when we were experimenting there, trying to get this game figured out, we did a lot of that trial and error and throwing stuff at the wall and, and that was one of the few that actually that worked out in all of our experiments. So. Absolutely love that thing. I mean her picture speaks for itself. And even when we were cleaning them up for picture and video and days and she'd walk out and kind of everybody drop what they were doing to watch her do her thing and, and she's cool. I don't know what her, what her destiny is, but at the very minimum, she, she's one. After a hard day of work, grab a six pack and go out on the Ranger. That's the, that's the kind that I want to go look at when the sun's going down.
B
Heck yeah, I would agree with that. I would agree with that for sure.
A
Well then lot 19, you'll have a maintainer female that you'll have to offer. She's a driving 80 out of a, a female that you'll call the Show. She's an Angus. She's been AI to me. We all talk to me about what y' all think of her and what her future looks like.
B
So we, we were using quite a bit of that driving 80 semen on some of them mangus cows and stuff we got running around. And I think them things have a lot to offer. I just, I'm infatuated with the driving 80. I think he's probably underused today and he's coming back. I see a lot of these driving 80s selling now too, but I think that he is really going to work for making high mains, for making main Angus, for making maintainers. But this one, this one is good looking and good wheeled and, and going to be awesome cow. Her mother's a, an Angus ball called the show and I want to say he won Denver or one. He won something. I can't think of it right off the top of my head. But we bought some of them things from Cobalt's here a couple years ago. They were sired by the show and, and, and I, and I loved them and I just, we bought, we bought a few of them there and they, they're working really well for us. But we, we. I'd heard a May we all and she is st for a January 29th calf. So yeah, that's a, that's a good. If you're going to bet on one. I'd bet on, I'd bet on her for, for putting, putting consistent calves on the ground and, and See, I think her future's so.
A
Well, then lot 20 got a club calf female for offer. She's a monopoly Miss Universe. She is triple clean from what it reads like. And been ped by Dirty Mike again as well. Talk to me about her, how y' all acquired her, what kind of matings you think she works to in the future.
C
She was an embryo purch. Horrors. Going back to what I said when we started kind of just closing the mouth and opening the ears. And every time you talk about steer mamas, the monopoly comes right to the front. I mean, her and the next two behind her kind of the same way. We were kind of breeding these to make steer mamas. And as we kind of figure out where we. Where we fit in in this business, making the females is as. What we're at. So these her and the two behind her, they're. They're kind of up there, I think. I mean, being triple clean first year mama deal. That's. That's right uptown. I mean, that's. That's what. That's what we're after. Yeah, like I said, she's a. She was a. An embryo purchase from Horace, and. And she's one too. And I'll be the first to admit I don't think her picture and her video are outstanding. But if you come and look at them in person, this will be one of the first ones that you kind of see, like. And that instant, to your mind, whoa, what is that? I mean, she is. Is Rip Stout. And then when we got the DNA back, that was even just an extra bonus. So no fault of hers whatsoever. Just not very photogenic gal. But the steer game is kind of where we're going to take a left at and. And offer these up. For somebody that knows more about it than what I do.
A
21 and 22 are very similar in their types and kinds. From what it looks like, 21 is a TH carrier and a DS carrier, and 22 is just a DS carrier. In my mind, I think 21 on a. On a bull like water to wine or king of kings being triple clean. Bulls work really well on that 21. And on 22, I can see loads of potential with bulls like how great thou art, or here I am on her for sure.
C
Yeah, million, million percent. I think when we got the pitchers back and you see that red cow, it's just like, woof, duh. I mean, that's what. I think. That's what they're supposed to look like. And the same thing with the 22. Just. Just real Real good soggy, kind of just, just. They just scream club calf and you know, same thing with the 22 and she came back clean was. That was a, that was all thumbs up.
B
So yeah, I wouldn't have even guessed that one to be clean either. You know, the hair hanging out of her ears and, and I wouldn't have, I, I would have guessed that one would be th dirty and she's not. So that's a good, that's a good thing. That's a good plus. So.
C
Yeah, absolutely.
A
Then lot 23, y' all got a maintainer female up for grab. She's anything goes on a Highway 20 liquid asset. She's a spring of 24. She is a DS carrier. That's pretty neat for a maintainer. Then was also AI'd to the, the Highway 21 and so talk to me about her, how y' all acquired her. What do you think she does for the maintainer breed?
B
So we raised that one here. I've got a handful of them Highway 21 cows which is an i80 sooner superwoman son that we, that we have used. And he's a, he's a Cavanese bull that works really well. He's probably the most underused main cavities bull in the industry as far as I'm concerned. But we use him heavily on some heifers. There's, there's. So anything goes that bull and Nolan Ferguson's, he is, is he a. Here I am805 I want to say but he's like a triple dirty. He's a DS carrying deal. But when this thing come back th and pha clean, I was happy, I was tickled. I, I think this heifer has a lot to bring to the table. And them Highway 21s, they make awesome utters, awesome udders. Like they're, they're, they're perfect heated and awesome structure. They're moderate, they're stout, they're big bodied and good looking. And this, this anything goes worked pretty good and I've gotten along real good with anything goes on, on, on just stuff across the board and I've sold quite a few of them and they're very consistent. They're cow changers is what he is. And he's probably an underused bull as well. But I accidentally, I see that she's out of a Highway 21 liquid asset, which is an Angus bull, but Highway 21 liquid asset and I, and I her to Highway 21. And that was kind of a mistake of mine. But there's been bigger Mistakes made. Right. I would say that whatever it is is going to be a damn good cow.
A
Well then lot 24 y' all got another maintainer heifer for grab. She's a Snapchat bonus. That bonus females and Angus. She is clean and was AI to May we all. She's a spring looks like a really flexible good bodied high tying female for sure.
B
Yep I bought, I bought that bonus bread heifer. This is out of a first cafe for the Snapchat daughter is out of the cardinal sale newt sale last winter and she laid down had this Snapchat daughter and and them snapchats are making awesome cows. Another descendant of i80 I think it's an i80 Steel 4 someone to believe from Dave Cox and making awesome cows. Heck he's, he's even one steer shows one that Snapchat they've won Wisconsin state fair and I want to say reserve at Iowa or Illinois for Waskowskis but them Snapchats are making awesome cows. We did breed her to May we all and she is due February 5th confirmed bread and she is clean so I think that thing has got a world upside. She is stout and long spined and nice. She's nice cow for sure.
A
Yes sir. Well in Lot 25 another maintainer heifer up to offer. She's a Memphis mafia out of the 52 female which is a a priority 7283 over Trails End. She is a spring of 2024. She's clean and was AI'd to peace of mind. That bull's awesome. I love that bull and some things that he's done and pushed out. But the cow looks like a huge ribbed female.
C
Yeah, all these 52 females are something else. The 52 female came out of the trail's end Angus production dispersal local Dean Thoman, Angus producer from our area sold all of his cows there and and to be honest I went there for lunch and ended up buying the high seller which was her. I've never had a cow at a production setting that punched me in the face as she did. I mean she was, she was the combination package in terms of combining performance and in a show ring setting. I mean this thing was an absolute monster rope, rope neck. Just an absolute gorgeous cow and I couldn't help myself but to go try it. And that one thing about this sale that I appreciate, I mean we got Club KF stuff in here all the way to Schaff Genetics and that's what she is. And we kind of tried her as you can see from Left to right. We hit her with Memphis Mafia once and liked the results and then turned around and popped her back to wizard. And we got these two in the 26 and the 27. And I think the functionality, good looking performance stuff that, that's got windows of opportunity to breed them back however you want. I just think it's interesting, the functionality. We're sitting there talking about monopolies and then turn around and bounce back to the Shaft stuff, production stuff, back to Wizards. I mean, I think one thing about Devin or I, I'm not afraid to try anything. I mean I enjoy the game and I love the hunt and when it works, it works and it's a, it's a good deal.
A
26 and 27 I would assume are full sibs, correct?
C
Correct, Yep. They'd be full sisters, Flushmates.
A
It's cool to see how they're full sibs and be so different in their type and kind.
C
I think so too. Even when you bring the Memphis Mafia back in there, I think there's a lot of similarities in, in all three of them and when you bounce them back and forth. But the one thing that, that screams to me is just productivity. I mean I think they just look like, like cows are supposed to look like and, and they, they got some to them and, and they're ready to go.
A
Well then lot 28, you got a high key female. She's an onset over a hired man, Northern improvement. She is clean and she's AI to may we all. The high key looks insane on her profile. I mean stout featured, high tying, long and level. From what I can tell.
B
Yes, she is that, she is all those. She originated in Idaho. She actually has a hot brand on her, on her side. I acquired her from my good buddy Gerald Green in Michigan and he gets some stuff out there in Idaho and he drug this thing home and he had a few of them and I just, I had to, I had to take her. So we got her and I thought she'd make an awesome cow and, and, and that's why she ended up at our place. And I, I'm glad I acquired her because she's, she's, she's a, she's a changing kind. I mean she's, she has got the presence, she's got the stoutness, she's got a long level hip and she is super sound. She's got the longevity behind her for sure. And them onsets, I mean they're high keys and, and the hooda man back in there and they're gonna make them they're gonna make them. So she has stuck to May we all for 2-2-Calf.
A
So well then lot 29 you got a club calf female to offer. She's a worth the weight slugger. She's a spring of 2024 and she was peed to that Dirty Mike bull like several others are and quality still so deep as we get down here into the later lots of yeah we.

Acquired 88 with Wade Rogers three or four years ago. It was and and so worth the Wade is out of 88 herself. So when I saw this female at an auction I just bought her just because we just recently acquired you know worth the weight's mother. So it was important to me to, to to support the cause on the worth the weight deal. And I don't think she disappoints. I mean I think for a club cap, a club calf bred one she's still so maternal headed and still has that mothering ability look to her. And right back to Dirty Mike. That'll you know her first calf will damn sure be sellable. So that's, that's a story on that one.
A
Well then in Lot 30 you got a another club calf female to offer. Little Keller is different compared to the rest of them but definitely not short of quality. She's an in God we trust over Lizzo. Lizzo is a here I am maternal mate made. She is a DS carrier in my mind. I think her on a here I am or how great thou art or say no more or something of that nature. Works really well on this one.
B
Yep. Sweet. We my, my son actually showed that Lizzo cow a little bit. She was a market heifer. Incredible, incredible animal. She ended up winning that aim show both rings and she, she. We only showed her he was young and we only showed her a little bit but that thing was incredible that Liz ocal and we did her to end guy and I've sold several of them things in the fall and this is the only heifer we had out of the deal and we ended up keeping her. But yeah, she's thpha free and stuck to May we all for February 1st. So I mean I think there's a lot of upside there. There's a lot of them in gods running around and there's a lot of. There's a lot of ways you can mater and I and I would go back. I would go back to how great or or something like that on her just like you were saying, maybe cross it up a little bit and make, make, make steers down the road so and I think that things that thing, the cow side of that, that deal is, is very, very high quality.
A
Yes sir, for sure. Well then lot 31, we got another club calf up to offer. She's a. Here I am Dixie. Dixie is a broker blue bunny. She is a DS carrier th false pha false spring of 2024. And I, I really like this one silhouette for sure.
C
Yeah. This one here, she's a victim of the sorting machine. Dixie's a cornerstone steer donor and this one just came out with, with the wrong plumbing that ended up working out. I'm a big fan of everything happens for a reason and I think she, she's got her own path as a female and yeah, I think you're right. I mean her silhouette's awesome. I mean she is way long bodied and monster footed and can get around like the best of them. We haven't had very many females. We, we obviously reverse sort them for that mating. Like I said, this one here must have just slipped to the cracks and for good reason.
A
Yes, right. For sure. Well then in 32, one of arguably my favorites of the sale so far. It's the first red one to offer but she's a half semi key female. She's at a bankroll on a hooded man cow. She's a spring of 2021. She is clean and she is AI'd to the one and only trust no bay. Big fan of that bull and I love what he's doing so far. Talk to me about her and what y' all think she can do for the future.
B
So this is a partnership cow with the Tim family. They, they bought her, they bought half of her and showed her a couple times. She wasn' big fan of the show ring. She wasn't. Her attitude just got the best of O'Reilly. When she was showing her they had another one in the barn and they said let's just show this one. So I took this one back and, and, and she reads donor all the way. She's out of the old pits who demand cow and I just, I want to get this calf out of her and get to flushing her. To be honest, I, I would, I, I would say that whoever buys her needs to flush her because I do think that she's going to work very good and she hasn't been utilized the way that she needs to be utilized yet. But she is up to trust and obey. Cleaned up with son of a sinner which she is stuck to trust and obey for a January 18 calf. But that, that, that cow is she's a herd marker for sure. But you go out there and there ain't. You pick her out right away in the best of herds. So yes sir, I think her denseness and her feet and legs and, and, and everything she's got going is, is incredible. So I think she's got a lot of upside.
A
So then in Lot 33 you got another club calf female and I love ones that are like this soft haired and maternal looking. I mean her utter is insane to me but I love her body shape and everything. She's a clean image. Over in Angus cow. She's a spring of 2021 and she's AI to no hard feelings. How'd y' all acquire this one and who do y' all think she works to in the future?
B
Actually we bought her from, from Jared Chedister back it's been a few years ago but we bought her as an open heifer and I thought, thought we thought that she was going to make an awesome cow and she has and, and she is very maternal looking which clean image is an Mab son of Kapatsky's but a little different bred out of the Angus cow and, and but she has been an awesome cow for us. Her udder's awesome, her design is awesome. Her, her, her presence is great. She's. She boys bred her club calf and got along good. Wanted to breed her. My old man always wanted to breed her club calf and I, and I, and I changed his mind breed this thing to make maintainers and make females because she is a little flatter and but she is good looking and just she makes females, makes females all day. So we, we did her to no hard feelings and she is stuck to that and that's why she's in this sales for a February teen calf and you won't be disappointed in this one.
A
Well then lot 34 you got another club calf female up to offer. She's a monopoly Doctor who. I couldn't tell you the last time I heard of Doctor who. That's some old stuff right there. She's a spring of 2020. She's a TH carrier and DS carrier and she's AI'd to the legendary red and white delight bull that's been very popular here lately.
B
Yep. I actually acquired this one from Mark Mickelson out in South Dakota and I, when I got her home I was, I was so he told me what she was and I bought her off of that and I, and I, I got her home and I couldn't have been more, more pleased because I I, we actually had her in the showstring there and, and she's made a tremendous cow for us. First year I think she was, she was bull bred and then the, the second year I ended up selling a calf out of her by Spread the Word and a Texas, my Texas sale for 7,500. Her only issue was she was always just a little later bred for our calving window. And I've got her bred up this year now to to Red, White and delight for March 11th. So before that she was kind of an April caver and it kind of started from, of her life and it nothing of her fault but she kind of fell behind but I got her caught back up and I think the Red and White and Delight is an awesome mating honor to make, to make a colored calf for, for a Texas, Texas deal or, or even a northern deal. But I think this cow is incredible. I think her, her, her pin width and her bone and her feet and legs and her body and her presence is the monopoly. Daughters have flat out done it. And the doctor who's, you know, like you said, going back to Doctor who, I, I love this cow and, and I can't believe I'm selling her, but I am. But then like I say, I go back to the beginning of the beginning of this recording. Like I'm not selling these cows because there's anything wrong with them. I'm selling them because I do this for a living and I need to generate revenue for my family to eat. I mean this is what we do. We offer good stuff for sale and they're stuck AI'd. And, and, and that's why we're selling them.
A
Yes sir, completely agree. Especially getting down here to the last two lots. Quality has not been any different than from the start of the sale and you start to end out lot 35 and 36. 35 is A. Here I am high definition. She's a little bit older. She's a spring of 2017, but doesn't look like it at all in her picture and video. AI to trust no bay. I'd be very anxious to see how that calf comes out for sure. Sure.
B
Honestly, I've, I've, I've sold a lot of stuff out of this cow just in those few years that we've owned her. And my old man actually owns this cow and the next two cows, the last two lots in the sale and he is the same way. He goes, he goes, these things look good. They're bred up, they're AI'd. And honestly, when we went out in the lot and we picked what was going to go in the sale. That's all it was. Is she AI'd? Yep. All right, sounds good. Let's generate some income. And that's where we're at. And that, and that's how it was. And he actually purchased this one from Nolan Ferguson's Bread cow sale there a few years back and we've sold every calf out of her since then. Hell, it might have even been back to him. But she's bred up to trust and obey for a, for a March 7 calf. So don't shy away from her because of her age, because her quality is high and her calves are really good. Absolutely. That same same goes for, same goes for that last lot in the sale. A lot 36, the Fu Manchu comes out of that Irish Whiskey Maximus. I sold that Irish Whiskey Maximus in my sale. Oh False Hill had been oh, 14, 15 years ago and she was pha clean. That was back when the whiskey thing was as hot as it ever has been and everybody was buying one because they were a whiskey, you know. And Billy Pitts bought half of that. This one's mother and we flushed her to, to Fu Manchu and had a couple daughters out of them. And this one is going strong and she's got, she's an aged cow as well but, but has put it, put several replacement heifers in the pen. She seems to have a lot of heifers over the years and the steers we've sold, we sold in the sale. Like she, she cracks it off every year. And this year she's bred up to New world order for February 7th. It's going to be no different with that one. And I've seen a lot of them New World orders and, and, and they're going to work too. So I, I, I have a lot of faith still in this one. This one, she will make your money back right away seeing a lot of.
A
The New World's order come out. I've seen a couple of New World order on Fu Manchu and they have been some very big haired, big footed cattle. So I'd be anxious to see what that calf looks like. But that's the, that's last lot that y' all have to offer in this ordeal. Like I'd said previously, it's been absolutely phenomenal. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to do this and represent y'. All. Very anxious to see how the sale goes. Is there any other comments that y' all like to make before we end the preview?
C
No, I just want to thank everybody for staying to the end. I think that was what we were focused on when we put it together, was put the best of the best and put them all in the center and and get let it go from there and. And for me it's hard to have them cattle not here and the one side of the bunks. It kind of sucks. But you know, putting. Putting the best quality forward for public offering is what the main mission was and I think we did it.
B
I would agree 100%. I agree 100%.
A
This sale does happen on the 27th. It is found on steer bidder. Y' all will see the link and all that stuff when it's posted. Devin's numbers in there as well as Jared's. I'm sure you can give them a call anytime and they'd be very welcoming and able to answer any questions that you'll have on any of the lots. But hopefully that we gave y' all answers to whoever's listening and interested in the sale. This is what it's all about and grateful for the opportunity. Can't wait to do more like this and the quality that it is. So with that said, empowerment's here. Thank y' all for tuning in.
