All right, so we got another preview and really, truly, we're back in the deal where I can get start to get a little excited. Mr. Duane Moore decided to entrust us to represent his stock. This is due to Mr. Clayton Trammel getting a hold of him and being an awesome rep for us. And he's here with us as well. But before we begin, Mr. Moore, I'd like you to introduce yourself what the primary goal is for Moore Cattle Company. And then after that, we'll dive through the lots.
B
All right, well, appreciate you having me on here tonight, guys. First and foremost, thank you all again. Hope everybody tries to find something good in this Sal. Try to put a very good set together. These are all home raised calves. Me, myself, Dwayne Moore run Moore Cattle Company. Me and my wife, just the two of us, try to emphasize on having just really good, sound quality American calves that are, you know, good for kids and trying to, you know, teach them some good principles in life and, you know, just try to raise some good cattle along the way here as best we can.
A
Absolutely. Clayton, you got any thoughts on the sale before we get started?
C
Yeah, man. Yeah. Just super pumped to have Dwayne on here. Dwayne and his reputation for raising American cattle speaks for itself. If you've ever scrolled through his sales, you get fired up pretty quick from start to finish. And just really excited to have him on here and have him share what he thinks about this lot. It looks like a very, extremely deep set of steers and just one incredible bull prospect at the end. And just can't wait to hear his thoughts and see if we can help get these things in great homes.
A
Absolutely. Well, Dwayne, you started off with lot one, which would be a solid gold on a female you call wb. Talk to me about this calf. I really do love his proportionality. From profile, bold and soft bodied, has an awesome hind leg, real good hair quality. I think a family could have fun with over the summer and fall. I think the calf's best end point anywhere from San Antonio, Houston. But I do think the calf would really stand out there on the turf at San Antonio.
B
Yeah, I agree totally. Oddly enough, he's out of a first calf, Heife, that is a double bred wb. So he's out of a bull that we had year before last that was we called Cochise. That was a WB son that I purchased from Hunter. And along the way here we got this deal and he ended up getting hurt on me. So we only had a very limited amount of calves out of him. This is one of the first heifers that he had, that bullet had for us. So this is actually her first calf here. So she was just big, big bone, just real broody. So I thought, man, we could try something, some old school stuff in here, maybe try to see what happens here. And very pleased with this offering here. Not number one here. We call him big Bird. He's just a yellow, big calf, but massive feet and bone. He's had the best hair, has a great attitude. I mean, just ground pounder from the ground up. Just stout, thick, super stylish. When Caleb was out taking pictures from steer better, he was like, man, does this calf had it have any bad angles? He said we can't get him to stop setting up perfect. So he just. One of those calves is just automatic and just he's a pleasure to look at, pleasure to be around.
A
Absolutely Love it.
C
Love this calf. I share the same sentiment as you guys do as far as slick sharing, but you gotta thank just by looking at the, the hair quality it has here in this quarter job that this Guy worked for Fort Worth 2, especially being out of that solid gold bull, just monster hipped, awesome to look at. From the profile, feet and legs just looks like the one that Mr. Frank Ward would really, really tie into. A big fan of that calf right there. Think he's got a lot of future ahead of him.
B
Yes, sir. I was very, very pleased with this one. So he just keeps getting better.
A
Lot two is next. This is going to be a tiger stripe sim bra prospect that is out of the raekwon bull at 111 on an American made female. And I think this calf compared to some is a little bit on the greener side, but I don't think it works. To his demise. The calf's built incredibly good, but in tandem with that, his foot and bone is huge. So I think that tells the story of what the calf can end up being. At the end of the day, hitting 12 o', clock, I think he an awesome contender for the Simbros there at Houston.
B
Very true. I think like I said, it all starts from the ground up. You got to have good feet and legs and that's a. I'm a real stickler on structure and this calf has it. You're, I mean, dialed in 100%. He's not the thickest, the stoutest. Right now he's a little green kind of hitting a growth spurt, but all the pieces are there, the puzzle. So it's just going to take a good feeding program. He's also One that's real laid back, real chill about everything. So you don't have to worry about this on classing either.
C
So he's.
B
He's got the color and got the leather to it. He's not overly sloppy or trashy, any means by that.
C
So love this calf as well. I think for. For one that it sounds like is maybe first year general study this calf's video. He is so arrogant in his presence. Just cats around that, that pin there. Monster feet, monster legs. Maybe shot on the greener side today. But if you're somebody like me, that don't scare you one bit. You just feed that thing and let him do what he can show you he can do.
A
Lee, lot three is next. This is a solid gold out of a loud and heavy Joe Shelby Gert female. So in my mind, I think he's a little more further along in terms of his maturity pattern. I think if there's a family looking for a county fair fall steer in the American division, I think this is an awesome contender for that. But if not, I think his other end point would be great for San Angelo or San Antonio. I do like the calf a whole lot. I think his color is really neat. You mentioned he's a yellow brindle. He's overwhelming in terms of his rib cage. Has a lot of shape up high and has a monster hip in him as well. Talk to me about your thoughts, Dwayne.
B
Yeah, he's also like a kind of a cool. He's out of a first calf heifer that's also. That's a real dark chocolate with red stripes. That's where, I mean, his mom was throwing it. So he's getting that brindle in there from her. So that was super cool. You know, I'm always trying to think outside the box and create a cool breeding piece. If I can't get a steer and I want something that's going to be good, that we can retain as a female in our herd and continue to just keep making good ones, you know. So this one, unfortunately didn't come out with monster ears and a ton of sheath to him. He's one of those. Those kind of cheaterish kind of calves. But I think even if you get kicked in that AOC deal, you're gonna fare very well. He's also one of those monster crazy hair to him. He's not goofy by any means, easy to deal with. I mean, it's just like you kind of said, he's kind of hit that peak of maturity. He has a July So I tried to get that a little bit older just so we can get those cows bred back and stuff. But I think like you said, kind of an endpoint, a Lake county fair. I think something you could probably still hold over into the spring, be extremely successful for.
C
Yeah, one that you, you, you stated you, you were hoping to effort for but certainly can't be disappointed with this calf here. Just lots of product, back shape, hip shape, body shape just gives you lots of options either whether it's from a fall all the way to a San Antonio or Austin or Houston.
B
Just.
C
It just seems like an easy doing type of calf that, that again gives you lots and lots of options. And backed by a solid gold bull that needs no introduction for sure.
A
Lot four is next. This is going to be a red and white painted up American. This is a tomahawk on a female that is a Ironman on the JB400 Gert Brangus cow Simbra or ABC. I think this calf is extremely unique. I love his length and levelness of hip but he couples that with a very burly hind leg. But he's still stout featured. I think he's a little bit on the greener side but once again extremely high quality severe that I think just needs a little time and tlc.
B
Yeah, I mean this is my kind of calf all day long. I love October, November, kind of American. You can push them hard. They, they stay fresh all year long. If you're hauling to the very, the very end of the road, whatever late county fair or so, I mean or spring fair, you can get in there and I mean this thing's gonna be a touch dog. I love these kind of calves like this. He's got, I mean a undeniable color pattern just gonna grab your eye every angle. He's just cool painted up. Great feet and legs to him. Like you said. Like you stated already, Weston, he's a little green, but I mean these are my kind of cattle. Like this. This is the kind of green that I can see and you can read these things 100. There's no holes in it and it's no smoke and mirrors with this deal. They are what they are. Big backed, plenty of character to class. I think you'd be just an outstanding simbraw. I mean I see this calf as you know, you know, let's say a middleweight San Antonio. Maybe it's about the same to Houston. So it just depends on the family that feeds him and kind of the care he gets. But yeah, super excited with this one and the color only Helps him.
C
Yeah. Another one. I just love the presence and look that he gives you. Length of hip, foot, and leg is as good as you can make one. Love the color pattern in the calf. One that's. That's green. At. At the same time, he still just shows you so much potential. And. And anybody that's in the American game knows a JB cow is built for the long haul. And. And I think this one sure is.
A
Yes, sir. Lot five is next. Another painted up calf, but he's black and white. And this one is a tomahawk on the KB524. Female. This one's either Simbra or ABC as well. This one is a little older. He's in the September range. But I do like this calf's presence. I think his arrogance, his length of neck and where it sits into his shoulder and how just flat that is compared to where he sits in terms of his body. While I think he's overwhelming at the end of the day in terms of his body shape, it reads right again. This calf just needs a little time and tlc, but I think if you lay the feed scoop on him, his feet and legs can handle it, and he'll end up being really nice down the road.
B
Yeah, 100% agree. Calf's probably not 75 pounds different from the red and white paint, the Lot 4 Calf, but should be another solid feeder. This cow has produced some really good calf calves for us just for some red crosses and stuff. Kind of dabble in that. Been real successful in the hunt in Houston and whatnot. So that's kind of where I see this one. Probably excelling, probably the best. Would probably like Houston time, but, you know, we'll see. It depends on, like you said, how hard you want to, you know, push that feed scoop to them and whatnot. I will give out just a little disclaimer here that this calf did have a small hernia behind his sheath. It has been taken care of already yesterday by our local vet. Great guy. Did a phenomenal job on it. It is a little swollen here this morning, but kind of typical for a light surgery like that. He is. He has been fixed. I will guarantee him, so we don't have nothing to worry about with that. We'll be glad to keep him a couple of weeks after the sale. Part of the customer's request. If they need to keep them a little bit longer, that's fine, too.
C
Yeah. Dwayne, appreciate you putting that in there for. For everybody watching and listening, but another calf, just incredible hip shape. Love the rib Shape. Love the look, love the balance. Another one that just, you know, reads to be maybe a shot green today. But all the pieces are there for one that could have a very high ceil down the road. Probably Houston Austin range, but one you got to really, really tie into for sure.
A
Lot 6 is next. And this is going to be here I am on. Is that Richland Farms on the bottom side?
B
It is, yes, sir.
A
Okay. American man rsvp. So that's interesting to know for sure. And I think this calf resembles a lot of things that I know. Richland farm strives to make it for sure. I mean, his length of neck and the way it ties in is incredible. He's so neat chested. But what I like the most is his ratio from forward to flank. I think that highlights an awesome slick and black exotic steer. But he couples that with an awesome set of running gear. Talk to me about what you think his best endpoint is.
B
Man, I really don't know. Like I said, we don't dabble enough of these exotics to really get super good and competitive with it. But this guy just. I think a blind man could feed this one and, you know, find this. He's just so good and just such good, good temperament and just, I mean, just so tight necked and just so balanced all the way around. I just love the little guy. We bough the cow with the intentions of of course, creating some Americans and some other, you know, kind of a higher caliber type Americans. You see how this calf is hoping the future for what you can produce for us is going to be even better for the Americans. But just like just a great little calf. Such a good top on him and like I said, the hip structure, he's just, he's a pleasure to be around and I think that he's a very high caliber and I really like the guy. If we had children, I probably would keep him.
C
Yeah, one, I. I think when this thing gets parked, he is a show pony for a black cross. Whether it be Angelo or all the way to regardless of size class, it really doesn't matter to me and it shouldn't matter to you then this one sure looks like it. Just lots of balance, lots of presence, big hip, great looking, awesome on his feet and legs. Rib for being a little guy, it sounds like from Dwayne, but this thing just. Man, if you're looking for slicking black cross, man, really tie in here. Big, big fan of this one.
A
Hot seven is next. This is another tomahawk prospect out of the American made alley and so this is an October born steer. I think he's an awesome sim bra prospect. What's intriguing about this one is just from profile, he's so symmetrical and balanced and level in his lines, but he couples that with so much stoutness of feature at the surface. I think he's an awesome steer for anywhere from San Antonio to Houston, but I would personally love to see this one displayed at San Antonio.
B
Yeah, this is like one of a. Probably one of the nicest sim brokers ever raised. I think he's balanced so well. Very short coupled, has such a huge hip and top structure. It's unbelievable. I think color patterns perfect for the simbraw deal. He just, I mean he's got some chrome to him on both sides, catches your eyes. He's just, I mean great boned. That American made bull we promoted and had for years kept a lot of females out of him. They've made phenomenal cows. And those calves just get so big butted big topped, say sound good feeders. I mean that it's just really like that calf. I think there's a lot of upside to him. Like I said, I'd like to see someone get him that knows what's. What's going on here and very serious with it. That can help, you know, promote him well, like he needs to be.
C
Love the calf, love his look, love his color, love his feet and legs, love his body shape. If I had a kid showing we would be buying this calf and be jumping in for the long haul. Huge, huge fan. I don't really know what else to say about the calf. I love him. I think everybody needs to study him and get all in on him for sure.
A
Well, lot eight is next and personally I think this one is up there in terms of rankings for me he is a rooster on an in God we Trust. Sim bravi. Sim bravi cow that's hard to pronounce sometimes. This one is a girt or ABC prospect. And unfortunately I think the calf has awesome hair quality. At the end of the day, depending on what area of Texas he ends up, I think he could make Fort Worth. That's just me reading him on video or picture. But as Clayton said before, this calf's burly hind leg is ideal for Frank Ward, especially for the 2020 show. Again, that also depends on, you know, what family ends up with him and what kind of hair they can get on him. But I think regardless of that, just the calf's presence, how stout featured he is, his rib cage and his dimension up high is incredible. I Do like the calf a whole deal.
B
I gotta agree with you 100%. Like I said, we love to raise them like this. And like I said, we just, we just strive to raise better calves every year after year. And had a set of these roosters last year, they were females, so I like those well enough. I said, man, let's put the, let's put that semen back in these cows again. And worked out great with this one here. Like you said, just so mature. Just, it's just his feet and bone are phenomenal and just so stout. Made big top, big hipped. This has been a big crowd favorite a lot. Had a lot of calls on this calf, but please don't let that hesitate anybody from calling that wants to continue to have pictures or need anything else on him or, you know, we don't know till the, you know, drop of the hammer at the end of the night on Thursday, what's going to happen? Who's going to own this guy? So don't get scared. Get all in on this guy. He's, he's 100%. He's a real man. And I mean, that's, he's about as good as they're going to get.
C
Love this calf, too. And as we as breeders and guys that are breeding and selling, these things need to be dual purpose. We, we breed them to be dual purpose. And I read this calf, even though he's quartered to be dual purpose. Color, just everything about the calf, from hip to body shape to look to feet, legs, just really exuberates what Mr. Ward did there at Fort Worth. So I, I another one in this lineup that just gives you lots of options. And I think this is one that you certainly bid with confidence on and just hope you get him at the end of the night. Great calf for sure.
A
Lot nine is next. This is another tomahawk steer that is out of a Born Free Miss usa. And you call her a Cromwell special. This is a Red Cross prospect that's a little on the younger age compared to some, but I think the calf's build is incredible. I think his shoulder angle, his length and levelness of hip, and the way he utilizes his hind leg is exceptional. I mean, I think this calf at the end of the day could be an awfully, awfully nice slick and steer for anywhere from Austin to Houston. I think he'd be an awesome middleweight for sure.
B
Yeah. Like I say, we always strive to try to raise some Americans with everything, but every once in a while, that plan kind of backfires. But I don't think that there's anything wrong with this calf or a hole in him. The little born free cow we call blue, she's a blue roan we got from Brandon Robert. I bought her as a heifer and I don't think anybody wondered because of her blue run color. But she's done nothing but create cool ones for me. I had a class champion lightweight Brammer here a few years ago. Out of her and stuff. We had some other American ABC classic calves that have done real well. This is one that just didn't class American. But there's nothing wrong with him. I think that's, it's very. I think it's real cool. His color pattern and stuff like that. Just the hip structure. He like you said Weston, a little bit younger, but I see a lot of potential in this calf like that. And just, you know, coastal own, don't worry about it. Even if you buy him as a backup steer, I think that end of the day you're gonna look smart doing it.
C
Yeah, I love this cap too. Just super unique in his look and build. Very open from his chest all the way back. Awesome square hip. Any the Red Cross breed, we, we all know what, what that comes with. I think this is, this is a cap that is sure enough has a. Has a real high probability, Brandon, that this looking major as a Red Cross. Awesome, awesome build, awesome look, awesome balance. Real, real nice calf here for sure.
A
Well, lot 10 is next and this is the last lot of the sale. And I think you ended out extremely well with this bull prospect. It could be the next person's awesome herd sire. This is a solid gold on An American Ranger. 96 female. This is label him as a yellow brindle man. I think his color for one is phenomenal. I think that his character is perfect to work on half blood females or potential exotics. I think the calf is incredible. I love his foot and bone. I love his shape up high. I love his character. I'd like to know if you've gotten him genetic tested yet for defects and, and what. He comes out that way, but I think he could be utilized in a lot of ways.
B
Yeah, super cool calf. He's out of a first calf heifer also big. I mean her we call his mother Juicy. She just. It's just so juicy year round. Just big old top, big hip, big belly. Then just looks like a big old monster girt looking kind of type outfit, but real cool thing. So this thing just, I mean hit the nail on the head like what we're looking to raise and like, man, this is, this is pretty stinking good. For out of our first calf heifer, he was 65 pounds unassisted. She went out there, spit him out. He's had great feet hair. I mean, he's just been great. I mean just all around. I've got pretty good sized testicles already for just being, you know, he's less than a year old, so keep that in mind. We can't go turn him out trying to get some bread anytime soon, but he is a July born. We have sent off for testing, had a little mix up with FedEx getting delivered on time. So unfortunately we will not have the sale results or, excuse me, the genetic results until a few days after the sale. The mother has been tested. I've tested the cow juicy. She is triple clean. So we're just waiting to see what happens on the, the final test here. So be glad to share that with everybody once that's done. But I do not have it available at this time.
C
Yeah, the only thing I see wrong with this, this calf and lot here is Dwayne didn't call me and tell me about him before he decided to put him in the sale. I, I love this thing. And if you're, if you're in the market to raise American show steers, I, I really highly advise you to pay attention. Study this cab. Just a awesome built, awesome rib, awesome look, awesome hip. Being out of solid gold, he's probably going to throw you some hair on them things too. Just big, big fan of this calf here.
B
And I think what's most important, he looks like a bull too. You know, he's big. He looks like, built like a bull.
C
So he is. Kudos to you, Dwayne, for raising one like this and, and offering him to the public for somebody to better their herd. Big fan of this calf here. Bid with confidence for sure.
A
Well, like I said before, the sale happens on the 9th. You can find it on steer bidder Duane's numbers up there for anybody that wants to reach out to him for any further questions. If we didn't answer anything that you did have questions about. But I do appreciate you allowing us to represent you. Is there anything you want to leave the audience with before we end the preview?

If you can't always say, come back and we'll try it again next year.
A
Clayton, is there anything you want to leave them with?
C
Dwight? Dwayne, thank you for coming on.
B
Yes, we appreciate it.
C
Your. Your cattle have always spoke for themselves, and we're just grateful for you believing in what we're doing here and. And hoping to help elevate your. Your sales and your program and help get these things in the homes that they need to be in. So thank you very much for believing in us and. And what we're here to do.
B
Yes, sir.
A
Absolutely. Well, with that said, we are grateful and can't wait to see what the sale looks like and ends up being Catalook. Awesome. Empowerment's here and we'll see y' all next time.
