All right, so we got Rockin H genetics and the Hensley brothers back on here with us to talk about their donor prospect and heifer sale where you can find on steer Bidder. It happens there on March 2, which is upcoming and here soon. Both of y' all have been on before. We've been able to talk about a little bit of what yalls primary goal is. Give me a little thoughts about the sale prior to us talking to the lots.
B
I think that there's a real high quality set of donor quality females, replacement females, and there's some absolute, really good show heifers to be had on March 2. I think people need to pay attention to what's being offered. I think it's our deepest set yet.
A
Absolutely, Gail.
C
Yeah, I agree. I think it's a really diverse set. You got anything for some shows to your mamas, to some breeding heifers and simmies and mains and a little bit of everything in between. And I think there's some good opportunities to kind of late in the game to pick up a few show heifers and then also add to your donor batteries. So I think there's something for everybody in this offering.
A
Lot one kicks it off and she's a how great thou art surveillance over Monopoly. Obviously she's listed as a th carrier and a DS carrier. In my mind. She's extremely unique but replicates a lot of what how great has been throwing. Very, very feminine, refined fronted. And so Blake talked to me about her and what you think that she has to offer.
B
I think she's very high quality. I like the way her neck ties out and how she blends from the side. She's probably a little bit punchy to be a show heifer in my opinion. But her mom's done us a good job. I think we had a here I am steer that hung himself in the wash rack a couple years ago. That would have been probably our high seller. So we were swinging for the fence with how great on this one, but got the wrong. Wrong plumbing. But I think there's a lot of value in this female.
A
Well, lot two is next and she's going to be a Here I am out of yalls donor 40, which is a maternal made driver. She's a TH carrier only. So that's pretty unique that you can diversify her on some DS carrier bulls. But very long fronted proportional from the side or silhouettes. Intriguing. Talk to me about her, what her history is and what do you think she does in the near future.
B
Well, I think her mom's maybe my favorite cow I've ever owned. She's the stoutest, soundest, freak made maternal maid cow I've ever owned. We sold a heifer last year, I think for 5,500 that was not near this good in my opinion. We sold a steer last year, I don't recall. But I think Kale has a Here I am steer that will be in the next sale, not the one on March 1st. And then there's a how great that is a July that will probably go on the next sale as well. We have a couple of high hope embryo heifers out of this cow that have high future in my opinion. She's worked the end game. She's worked to all me. I don't know that there's a bull that hasn't worked on this donor. So I have utmost confidence in this heifer here to make a big, big impact whoever buys her. It's real hard to construct one like this in my opinion. With the pedigree like this most here I am. Don't have the big soft wolfy belly and have that ultra feminine look, but have big legs, big bag, big top. I think this is very unique breeding piece for somebody.
A
Yes, sir. Well, lot three is next and this is going to be one of Kale's first to talk about. She's a purebred simmental. She's out of county O on A4 site 7 16. She is triple clean. And what's interesting is me and Kayl were talking prior to this and she's a full sib to the female that the chick showed that won Denver three or four years ago. Extremely unique in my mind. Presence is definitely highlighted there in the video but her running gear and the way she flexes at the surface is very intriguing as well. So talk to me about her. Kale.
B
Yep, yep.
C
So her mom. This is actually the first, first time we've kind of got this cow settled and, and to get a. To get a purebred heifer out of her. So we're excited to offer this one. Her mother is a full sib to the they have for the Schick show that was on Denver I think three or four years ago. But anyway, we're excited for this donor cows, her mother's future. One that we're going to try to continue pushing the envelope and raising good, looking good, moving purebred simmies. But this one for herself. I think her, her presence is awesome. Her look from the side is great. Feet and legs are spot on. Real big soft bellied and still kneed under her chin and tucked up in her chest. One that I think is a very good opportunity to pick up a show heifer kind of late in the year.
A
Well, four is next and she's kind of contrasting compared to who you just talked about. A little denser haired female that still reads maternal in her makeup. Extremely flexible. She's a half, semi, half main out of a lover boy on a drive in 85F female and she is triple clean which is even that much better. Talk to me about her and her pedigree. I know she goes back to some pretty intriguing stuff on the bottom side.
B
Yep.
C
So her mother is a driving 80 on me too's mom. I've been a previous show heifer for the Bailey family and this is her first calf out of that cow and one that we think looks a lot like her mother and her head and her neck and her extra look up front. Big good legs, soft at the ground, just an awesome presence and I think she'll make a very, very good big heavy bred show heifer.
A
Well, lot five is next and this is actually going to be a full sib to lot 2 which is intriguing as well. She's a TH carrier only as well as just another dense haired female that is extremely square made and in my mind just reads extremely proportional from the side as well. So Blake, talk to me about her.
B
Yeah, I think this one isn't quite her sister but I've also had the sister of lesser quality out produce the one that looks like the rock star. I wish I could tell you which one to buy. I don't know but I think the proof and the bloodlines makes you feel confident in this one just as much as the other one. I think this one's ultra complete in her makeup, has good hair out big legged walks good. I think she's a no holes kind of female that someone can go get a couple calves out of and if they like what they see she can go to the donor pen pretty easy.
A
Well, six will be next and this is a half blood simmental. She's a bankroll out of an insight first class female that Kel had told me he purchased from Seldom Rest. She is triple clean and to me she just reads extremely dimensional, extremely flexible, very nice baldy female.
C
Yep, yep. I think another one that makes a real nice show have her. But more importantly I think she's going to be an awesome looking older cow and be one that's going to be able to generate pretty well her structure. Spot on. She is huge, huge center bodied, plenty of stoutness and pin width and rib shape up high. I think one that's just going to be a really nice donor cow.
A
Prospect lot seven's next. This is going to be a high main female. She's a mafia max over comfort zone in my mind. You told me that in the prior lot that that was a bold rib dimensional female. I think this one reads exactly the same way. Extremely functional on the move, a little more refined and feminine about the shape to her head and chest, especially on the top side of her neck as well. But I do like the female in motion as well. What do you think, Kale?
C
Yep. I think another really good show heifer candidate here. Kind of an interesting twist as far as a pedigree for a high mane and to touch on this one's mother just a little bit. She's a comfort zone and goes back to the blind badger Morgan cow. So plenty of consistency there as far as from a pedigree standpoint. But the heifer herself, I think you hit it spot on. Like a unique combination of some power and rib shape and center body and some extra dimension but still like real neat necked and good chest sit in the shape to her head's really feminine and refined. I think another nice show effort.
A
Yes Sir. Well, lot 8 will be next and this will be a fair game out of a 360 degrees which is a heat wave sun. This one is triple clean and this one is Blake's. Blake. This one is intriguing especially from profile. High tying, smooth shouldered female that draws back to a level hind or level hip and a very flexible hind leg. She is triple clean. So talk to me about what you think she has to offer for the near future.
B
I just want to touch on fair game. He's a may we all son out of fair brandy, which would be one and only's mom and some other promotional bulls that we bought from Cod Fair. A lot of people don't know the fair game cattle but we sold some last year and in the sale before this may be the best one as far as feminine wise. I think she's a dual purpose type heifer. You can show her, you can make a cow out of her. You can breed her for steers or heifers. I like this heifer a lot. I think there's a lot of good to her. She's structurally correct. She puts her ankles down right. She's stout enough but she's not so ultra stout that you kind of block her off the show ring. She's got a big Woofy belly and I mean I love her front third. I think it's real hard to replicate that. I guess she'd be a maintainer but I think she's a good female and I think a guy can do whatever he wants to with this one.
A
Well, lot nine is next and this one is also yours, Blake. In my mind what's impressive is she's out of an in God we trust cow and th false and still really good haired. But as well as being a DS carrier. So there's a lot of versatility that you can do with this female and extremely high tying. Very maternal about her profile as well. Extremely flexible in motion. I think she's got a lot of future ahead of her.
B
Yeah, I mean I, I like this female a good deal. She's real high tying like you said, ultra complete on her legs, big belly, adequate muscle shape. I think you just go home and take her and kick her out on a low birth weight bull and year two get to rocking and rolling on her. I think she's got a lot of good behind her and I think there's a lot of options. You can breed her too.
A
Well, lot 10 will be next and this one is going to be a public enemy out of a female that's a business done right over American Idol. Her mother will actually be the Grandma to Lot 16 and Lot 1 of the last sale. That was extremely impressive. This one is the gold colored female that is very square, very dimensional, extremely dense at the surface. I love this female and there's a lot of things that you can do with her, especially with being a th false and only DS carrier female for sure. What do you think, Blake?
B
Yeah, I think this one really grabbed our attention on picture day. She's got hair like she's a carrier, which everyone loves that aspect. And she's got tree trunk, back legs and front legs. It's hard to make one that's clean that you can breed on with that. That has power in the blood in my mind being. I mean I think you just flush her to how great as soon as you get her home. It's worked in her family tree and I think it's a no brainer here. I mean there's a lot of good in this one, I think.
A
Yes Sir. Well, lot 11 will be next and this will be an in God we trust out of donor 126, which is, which is a general over monopoly. I love this dense haired female's build in motion, the way that she utilizes her hind leg and her flexibility in terms of her lower joints and the slope to her knee and the angle to her shoulder I think is awfully impressive as well.
B
Yeah, the touch on this one's mom, she come from Chris Black. I think she was her high selling cow, I don't know, five or six years ago. Kaplan came up here two or three years ago and bought a full sin to this heifer. I think we ended up getting 25,000 out of that steer. Had a very successful show career I think he deserved at the blocking bridal 10th or 11th at Houston. We've got an heir to the throne steer at Kale's right now. Be a half said to her. That's gotten a lot of people's interest. And then there's a whole bunch of heir to the throne heifers. Unfortunately that'll be offered later in the year. The consistency runs deep in this family in my opinion. And I know she's dirty, but she's got lots of good where she's got that orange color. I think you can do a lot of different things as far as breeding on her. I just really love this female and to be honest with you, I don't want to sell them but we've got too many cows and we're bringing in recent cows. We want to offer our best. So this is your chance to get on some really good genetics in my opinion.
A
Well, the Lot 12 will be next and this will be Kale's talking point. This is an in God we trust out of one and only over friction. What's intriguing to me is this one is triple clean. Especially going back to in God I think is extremely versatile. I mean the fact that she's still a dense haired, very, very bold and dimensional female. I absolutely love her from the profile. Talk to me about what you think her future looks like, Kale.
C
Yep, I think you hit it right on the head. Real versatile. Being clean, I think you could mate her to a wide variety of things and I think she's got also got enough shape and ribbon and center dimension and then the way her feet and legs are put together, I think she could raise Sheeran cattle as well. So I think she just is one that just is unrivaled there and her ability to be mated differently and and also still have the quality and the skeleton and the structure to go with it.
A
Well, lot 13 is next and this is also going to be your yours, Kale. She's a license trip on an in God we trust 28 and is th false now this is the first lifesa trip that I've seen in person. I fell in love with her. I absolutely love her silhouette. I love her build. She's a little more moderate compared to some. She's a little greener or a little more behind compared to some. But I don't think that defers away from her quality in any way, shape or form. What do you think, Kale?
C
Yep. Yeah, I think a combination of a good color, a good silhouette, and then also being th free is another one that's offers a lot of versatility. Maybe just a little different of a pedigree, which I think also goes along with that. Being able to be mated to a lot of things. We've actually had a few of those life's a trips and they. They're pretty good cattle feed and legs are good. Neck's awesome and center body is. Is exceptional to touch. Back on that 28 down there on the bottom side, that's. This heifer is actually raised by Cody BAILEY and that 28 cow has been exceptionally good for him over the course of time. And there's quite a few daughters running around that go back to that 28 Cal for him. And this one's no exception. She's a just a really nice donor
A
piece there FOR yes, sir. Well, 14 will be next and this will be Blake's female. She's a How great thou art over donor 255. She's a solid gold over Raven. She's a TH&DS carrier. But this female is extremely intriguing in terms of the length of her neck, the size of her rib cage, the size of her hip and. But even more intriguing to see her in motion. Just the way that she gets out and goes and flexes at the surface. I think this female has a lot to offer.
B
Yeah, we bought this female from slcraft about four years ago. This is the first. How great. We've sold some in gods out of her, but I mean the mom to this heifer is phenomenally sound. She's a freak athlete. She's a spitting image of her mother, I would guess is what she would look like back in the day. But I this heifer came in green. Jason Brown raised her on a co op deal for me. So she didn't get it get here when all the rest of the cattle got here. But she hit the ground running and she's gained momentum every day she's been here. She's probably one of my favorite heifers. I love the way that she walks around. I mean she's so soft on all fours. And like you said, she's adequately powerful and there's enough good clean bulls out there. And I think that she's got a lot of good in her.
A
Yes, sir. Well, 15's next. She's gonna be a front and center over business done right on a monopoly. This one is a TH carrier. Seeing her and actually clipping on her from behind, she was a wide, pinned, stout hip female. That was extremely functional.
B
Yeah, this little heifer is real unique and I just want to touch that. She does not like a show halter. She is broke the tie and she's not friendly about it. She was fired up on picture day. We got a picture, but we could never get a video. I think when she gets back home and gets settled in, you're not going to want to show her. But I think she'll be just fine as a cow. Prostate. She's not a man eater or anything. If no one wants to buy her, I'll put her at Kale's house and he can flush on her anyways. I love this heifer. Her mom has been producing nothing but heifers for the last three years. We've marketed several heifers out of this cow. This is my first front and center to ever have. And I think there's a lot of good in this heifer. I was hoping she'd come back clean, but she didn't. But she's got a big old rib cage in her and she's big hit, big top, clean fronted. I mean, she was as hairy as any heifer in the offspring prior to clipping. I think her attitude will be fine for you guys. If not, I will stand behind this one and make sure that you get your money back. If you're not happy with her attitude, I think the quality is worth the risk, in my opinion.
A
Yes, sir. Well, 16's next. She's gonna be in God we trust out of the 84 donor, which is a something else. She's a TH carrier. Only in my mind. This one's an extremely moderate main female. That's easy fleshing, bold rib dimensional and still very functional when asked to lead or in motion. So talk to me about what you think her future likes. I think her on some red Bulls that are DS carrier or even some yellow bulls that are DS carrier is going to throw some really nice calves.
B
Yeah, this one gets me all fired up. Being a half sister to our high seller in the last sale got me even more fired up whenever we got her clipped out and saw how she was. I think there's endless options of red bul that are running around. Golden rule, I think, could be an option. Try to get a little more gold. She's got a little hint of color to her hide, but she's ultra powerful. Very sound. Very hard to pick a hole in her. I mean, she's pretty good stock, and I think that someone will be happy that they own her at the end of the day.
A
Yes, sir. Well, lot 17 is next, and she's gonna be the last one to round out the sale. She's an in God we trust over a Foreman Monopoly th carrier only. This one's video is intriguing to see just how much presence she upholds. A very maternal from the profile, offers a really neat silhouette. Tight chested, level hipped, awesome hind leg. Talk to me about what you think her future looks like.
B
Yeah, I think Dean bought the exact replica, but she was th free in our very first online sale. I haven't asked Dean if she's in production yet or not. I'm guessing she is, but I think this one's very impressive in her makeup and her pedigree. The mom's actually a char composite. A lot of people probably don't know that Foreman's a purebred charolay, but getting on past that, I mean, this heifer's got that wild pieces that everyone's looking for. Maybe could go with a black bull on this one with the shot of Monopoly back in there on the pedigree as well. But I think that anyone wanting to race slip sheer cattle could try to get in on this one. Her mom's real, real stout, rugged, hairy. I think there's higher in the blood. This one's maybe a little more refined than I'm used to seeing out of these. This cow family. But I think there's all sorts of options that someone can do at the end of the day with this one.
A
Yes, sir. Well, that wraps up the sale. The sale preview, and obviously you can find it on steer bidder there on March 2nd is when it all happens. I know Blake and Kale are very, very supportive people, and they'll help in any way, shape, or form. They're. They're located in Hydro, Oklahoma. I'm sure they'd love to have you out and allow y' all to check them all out, so don't have any hesitation to reach out to them. But I hope that this answered a lot of questions for the people that are interested in the lots. For sure. It's a very, very high quality sale with lots of variations in types and kinds and the way you can Utilize them in your firm. Any extra thoughts?
C
Yeah, I think just to touch base on willing to help. You know, we'll do whatever we can to help you guys raise. Raise stuff out of these things or the ones you guys want to show.
B
We'll.
C
We'll do our best to provide as much service as you guys want from us. And like I said, we always talk about breeding cows and that's what gets us excited. So any way we can help with mating options or suggestions or even selling some calves out of stuff that comes through this sale or previous sales or sales to come, Be more than happy to help.
B
Yeah, I agree with Kale. We talk on a regular basis several times a day. And we're always scheming and game planning. We're starting to get to know each other's herds and kind of what's going on. And I think us teaming up not only helps us, but it's going to help all you guys in the future. I think there's a lot of knowledge and breeding and know how to do stuff properly. I think that this is a good deal and we look forward to working with you guys.
A
What I would have to say just watching you two work together and being in yalls atmosphere there in hydro for a couple of days or may I? Well, I guess just one day definitely goes to tell me that y' all teaming up together is going to give some competition for the near future. I would definitely be on Kale's and Blake's team. I would go out and say that they will do anything and everything in their power to help y' all succeed. So with all this said, you can find the sale on steer bidder there on March 2nd. This is what it's all about. Thank y' all for tuning in.
