All right, so we got another preview and I'm really excited about this one specifically for the fact that I've looked up to the street matters for quite some time and the fact that I get to represent them here on the podcast is something that, that really makes me happy, to be honest. They have a sale coming on, a genetic sale on March 8 found on SEO. They call it the Bloodline Blueprint Genetic Sale. There's a lot of diversity through it. I looked through it earlier today before we hopped on here to do the preview and there's a lot of potential within these genetics that are up to offer to you Josh, if you would like to introduce yourself to the listeners, give them the kind of the primary goal of the Street Matter cattle and after that we'll dive into the lots.
B
Perfect. We'll do well. Thank you Weston and thanks for all that. Joined to listen to this preview. We certainly appreciate you guys hopping on here and taking interest in our genetic sale. Like Weston said, my name is Josh Streetmatter and alongside my wife Marissa and our daughter Isla we own and operate Josh Street Matter cattle. Had the fortunality to grow up in the business and showing cattle. Attended Purdue University on the national champion livestock judging team there and interest kept growing for it took a little bit, a bit of a break after I got married in 2017 to kind of build basically build up our jobs and our careers and here ever since 2020-2019 we've really been diving in building our cow herd. Current to date we reside here in Boswell, Indiana which is about 20 minutes west of West Lafayette where Purdue is and have about 35 cows and offer show genetics. Both steers and heifer prospect primarily in the fall to exhibitors across the country. And we've been fortunate enough to have a bit of success here recently and just love working with juniors alongside other cattle breeders that are like minded and are very competitive. So that's a just a quick bit on us but excited to share with you what we've got for our genetic offering here.
A
Well you start off with lot X and obviously this is an open donor up to grabs for people that want to take interest in those kinds of genetics and obviously she's a 9% or 9.13% key open. As said before, she's out of the right direct on the tamale female. Talk to me about her, why you're offering her as an open female to the public and what she's done for Yalls program.
B
Yep, it's kind of tough to offer this one up but like I said, we just kind of got a small cow herd here. And if anybody knows anything about west central Indiana where we're at, it's some dark prairie dirt and great for crop ground, so pasture is hard to come by. And so we've only got a limited amount of recips that we're able to pull and put in. And for those that that kind of took an ear here to what how this one's bred. This is a full siebed Boyerts Tammy cow. Was able to scoop her up here several years ago and bring her into our offering. She caught my eye in a pasture some friends of ours and upon greater investigation realized she was a full sieved Boyard's Tammy cow. And she's really hit it out of the park for us. Just super, super consistent. Like Weston said, she is 9%, a little above 9% key. So you've got a great opportunity to do about whatever you want when it comes to mating, whether you want to take her back, club calf or obviously take her to some of those semi lines like the boys have done with Broker and Bankroll and some of that to be quite hon. The only reason we're offering her up is because we've got a large embryo, stash of eggs put in the tank. We're utilizing those genetics today. I've got a great crop of heifers out of bankroll on her on the ground right now that I'm super excited about and also have a broker, a daughter that we look to get into production that I'm really, really fired up about. But the cow herself is good, looking good built, as you can see by her pictures, very soft in her mid rib and drop down in her flank and great in her structure. And she's just been super, super consistent for us. Always putting and stamp and that added body shape as well as doability into her, her next generation. The cow is primed and ready to go. 10 years old and she's got a lot of life left in her again. We actually this picture, we just kind of brought her up and put some lines in her and said we need to get a donor picture. But she, she is what she is. She looks like that as she roams the pasture. Kind of hard to let this one go, but she's got a lot of life left in her and just feel like it's the right thing to do to share with somebody that's wanting to get their program going. She is consistently averaging about eight and frozen IVF embryos. So a very consistent flusher that's gonna definitely do something great for whoever wants to invest.
A
Well, to start off again with lot one, you're gonna offer some how great thou art Embryo sexed male out of the female. You call eva, who's an i80. Total solution. These would be key or mains, if they come out the heifer way. But if you want to keep them steers, obviously these would be full sibs to the Indiana state fair. Third overall steer. Obviously, this mating has had a lot of success For y' all here prior to. Talk to me about maybe some other full sibs that aren't listed. And what those cattle look like and how they progress over time.
B
Yep. So eva is a cow that we purchased out of Chad Thompson's back in the day. And again, has been just very consistent for us. But she does a great job of even though she might be a little bit older in terms of her pedigree. Boy, she is stamping some moderate show steers. That have all the extras. Long necks, but big, fat wheels and sexy feet. And then just that added punch and muscle. This how great thou art mating has just been cookie cutter. I've only had it for a year or so. Obviously, the first one to ever hit the ground. Was the one that the Brenda family showed. That was champion, key, and third overall at state fair. Of that pedigree of what we've had, They've been averaging right at 17:5. Everything's been in that ballpark. And to date, everyone that's bought embryos. Out of this mating here in the recent year has sent me pictures. There's chrome, there's red and white. There's black and white, and some black ones as well. And I've got probably the best one of this mating I've ever had on the ground right now. And I'm really, really excited. So the proof's kind of been done here. It's very, very consistent. If you're looking for a quick roi, this is the place to be Right here on this mating. The how great evas have been super good for us.
A
Well, lot two is next, and that would be some embryos out of the same female. They are sex male, but there's a choice of how great or golden ticket in my mind. You say so southern boys, look here. Those golden tickets have definitely become pretty soft sought after here in Texas, but not just Texas. Other states as well. Why did you decide to use utilize her on that bull? And maybe what do you think those calves will look like? Or have you had calves out of that mating yet?
B
Yep. So this is another brand new mating for us. And obviously both these lots, the How Great and the golden tickets are sex IVF male. I had seen some footage of Golden Ticket himself. That Laramie had shared with me as well. Seen as a couple of those calves last year that had sold very well. And we just thought this would be a really unique way to incorporate a little color into this. This cow. I don't know if it shows there. She's got a donor picture. You probably can't tell from that, but she's almost a brindle color. So obviously a red jean carrier. And even out of the How Great mating, we've had some red and white ones and almost shorthorn colored ones. That cow is just super long necked, chiseled jawed, and really elegant and attractive up front, yet still keeping some muscle and dimension. And we thought that golden ticket would be a fun way to go. To throw a little added color in there to diversify in some markets and get down in the southern market. But I would expect this mating to just have that same look and design of those How Greats with as much added look that that cow has. But still without sacrificing any of the foot and bone and stoutness. I could see some either yellow roans or some red roans coming out of this mating. And be super high valued when they hit the ground.
A
Well, lot three will be next. And these will be sex female embryos. Out of a choice of driving 80 or hits different. On the female of yours, you call Jenny from the block. You talked about all these maternal features on the female prior. I think that's a perfect representation of the two photos that are exhibited here on Lot 3. These females read extremely maternal in their kind. About their head, the shape of their jaw, the top side of their crest, Especially with how they're built, especially from full rib back to flank. And just how soft bodied they are. Talk to me about what these. What these females look like and why you're so confident in them.
B
Yep. So this cow is a young donor of ours. That the only reason I don't have a donor picture is because. Is because we've just put her straight to production. And her very first calf was the heifer pictured there that the Crowder family exhibited. That was champion Maine heifer at state fair. And that heifer was born late in May. And then we bred that cow right back and got her right back into production rolling. And she hit the ground running. When your first calf out of a calving ease bull. Granted, it's driving 80 a bull that's obviously been very consistent. But when your first heifer calf to hit the ground as champion Maine at a major state fair, I think good things are to come. And we had a here I am bull calf out of her last year that we sold high to a good family here in Indiana that we're excited about moving into the summer. But I think her goal obviously as we've matched her here is just for raising those elite high main and she's as trendy and modern as you're going to get. I would expect either one the driving 80 obviously the proof's kind of been done there. Those would be full sib females to the crowder heifer there, that one at state fair. But then obviously putting some modern trend in there as well with the hits different mating. I would expect either of those to obviously be high tide in their neck, really nice jaw, excellent in their structure, their shoulder design, their knee set and then to open up into an expansive type of rib shape. And that cow being a data data bank for that typ of just elegance and attractiveness. She has a lot of power and punch to her hip. Some of those all mean genetics can get maybe just a scotch off in their hip. But this cow is as high pinned and level made and stout in her hindquarters as you could get one for being so elegant. And so this may be the last time we offer some hits difference or any of these this type of mating because quite frankly I expect big, big things. So I'd get in now before we quit selling them to be honest with you.
A
So Lot 4 will be next and these will be choice embryos that are sexed male out of how great thou art or chasing greatness out of the got a Myler female called Miley. These will be three embryos up to offer and in my mind just looking at some of the pictures, these are dense haired creatures that are extremely good built, have awesome hind legs and presence as well. So talk to me as to what these calves have looked like in the past and what you're confident about their future too.
B
Yep. So another young donor here that's just getting started and kind of wanted to offer up the opportunity to get in on the front side. So the calf pictured online there is the steer that at state fair time Nolan Ferguson came through and picked up and then took to his sale this fall. And as many know, Nolan had a heck of a sale there, an unreal sale. And this was one of the high sellers that calf that how great steer being her first embryo calf sold out at Nolan's for 50,000 and I think is going to be an awesome fat when the summer comes around. Highly. Just to give you a little bit of backstory there, obviously Goatin Goat and I have had a long relationship and I bought a lot of cattle off of him as a junior. Obviously one of his lead donors is the Miley. The Miley 80t cow, the mother of I80. So this would be, this cow would be a Garth on Miley direct daughter and we just couldn't be more thrilled to own her in partnership with goat and have the opportunity to really roll on some of these elite steer genetics. Here's your opportunity to own full sibs to that $50,000 steer. So you got the option of how great thou art or chasing greatness. And we're all about matching cow families here. And so there's no more consistency than the Miley cow family. Really excited about this young donor and also wanted to match that up when we took her to chasing greatness. Obviously what that Fuji donor, Smithson, I was done. And what Nelson putting that good bull out of chasing greatness. I think the opportunity there on this matchup should be very, very elite. So it's your choice how greats are chasing greatness. But I think either one will be absolutely exceptional and have some extremely high selling bull calves here.
A
Evan. Well, Lot 5 will be next and obviously you're offering this female as a whole as an open donor in the X lot but you're also going to offer embryos that are out of her in bankroll. These be sim solution or low key cattle. Talk to me again. I mean we went over her and what she's done for you, but maybe potentially what these females will look like in the near future. Obviously you said you got a bankroll that you're pretty heavy on.
B
Yep, got a bankroll here at home that I'm really fired up about. And she's hairy, she's great looking, she's great balanced a lot of rib in that heifer. Really high tying and elegant and attractive inner neckline. And again you have the option into a really elite looking sim solution heifer. Or also if you want to go to Key and Maine Junior nationals, you got the key composite option there. So dual registered. These are sex IVF females. Again got two of them on the ground here this year. Was able to see another one at an embryo herd here just the other day. That one had a splash of chrome on it, a beautiful broccol faced one that had loads of quality and Then the one here at my place is hairy, solid black with a white belly. But look for her to be a sale feature here this fall. Really excited about that mating again. We just had so many of them stacked up in the tank. Offer the capability alongside the open cat of Flush. Some unique embryo packages here as well.
A
Lot 6 will be next, same female but on Revenant. These would also be sim solution, low key. There will be four of them up to offer. So talk to me about what these have looked like so far as well.
B
Yeah, these, these females we've actually kept back to the herd or sold to others as replacement. They'll show they've got look, they've got design, they've got power and a lot of muscle and bone and foot. Revenant is actually the sire of the new popular revelation bull of Schaefers. And those cattle have been extremely popular. And these, these heifers had kind of the same look. Attractive front end, some added power and muscle. I think these are going to be elite donor cows that whether they hit their stripes in the show ring or not are going to absolutely ring the bell in the pasture. A lot of donor cow potential out of the ones we've seen out this mating.
A
Well then Lot 7 will be sexed males out of the. Here I am and I do am curious of what these cattle look like. Obviously here's I. Here I am. Been knocking it out of the park for years.
B
Yep, absolutely. Here I am as kind of the goat when we talk about steer sires and a lot of good cowboys would tell you that when you stack heat wave on both sides of the pedigree you're bound to have great things happen. And so obviously this donor cow being a right direction heat wave and then having here I am on the top side of these sex IVF males, great things are going to happen. We've actually put several in for this upcoming year and have some coming. This was a more recent flush so haven't had as many as these or actually haven't seen any yet. But I am just over the hill excited about what this could do. When you think about here I am maybe this one weakness that you'd like to see those cattle have is maybe a little bit softer feeding flank line and this cow absolutely has that. All of her progeny are easy feeding, soft middled and I would expect a little bit of color with these as well. But here I am on this cow I think is just going to be an absolute out of the park mating. Lots of bone, lots of hair, lots of look and then adding a touch of feedability and doability to the center body of those Here I am steers. I think it's going to be a home run.
A
Well, lot eight will be next. These will also be here I ams out of the female that's called Bella's Girl. In my mind. The steer that's put in the backdrop. I don't think you can make one just burly enough. Especially about the way his hind leg looks as well. What do these cattle look like? What have they done for y' all so far as well?
B
Yep. So luckily to. To work with my father in law who owns a couple donor cows that I've set him up with and he's able to send those to us and sell each year. And that was the result of this. So he owns Bellows Grill. Goes back to that cow would be a Fu Manchu back out of our dirty hairy donor that had several winners for us in the past. And this is just a, you know, another example of a. Of a heifer mate to us to a steer mating that has absolutely hit it out of the park. She came back th and pha free. And I told my father in law if I had known she would have done that. I don't know if I'd have sold her to him. But either way, this is this steer that's pictured here that's shown by the Wagler family was the top point steer. Won the points by a fair margin here in the Indiana Jackpot series. And you nailed it on the head. Weston as absolutely burly stout made as you can make. One that's still motored and just had some big old fat wheels on him and had all the extra bells and whistles with a splash of color. That was the very first steer out of that mating. We sold a couple of these here last year on our embryo sale. And I've already gotten reports from. From John Freed. Bought those over there in Illinois and he. He actually landed three for three on. On that embryo purchase and has already sent me some pictures of some colored up stout, impressive calves. So I think that steer sold for 30 plus just her first steer. And I think that's that we're only getting started on those. I think that's going to be a very proven consistent mating for whoever buys these or the EVAs or whatever it may be. We always like to stay involved and get those cattle back into our program and be able to market them for you. And trust me, if you buy these, I'm going to be your first call because I'D be more than happy to sell these and sell them high.
A
Well lot nine will be next. These will be sex female embryos out of the cow and safe and sound bull over the female that you all call Nancy. She's an hoc broker over style. These will be maintainers. That female's picture in my mind is what definitely is the definition of outlier for that breed. I mean obviously she's only a half blood semi but still I mean she's extremely long neck, robust rib cage and her stoutness of feature at the surface is absolutely incredible. Talk to me about what you think these calves will look like and what she's done for yalls program.
B
Yeah, Nancy is one that we just absolutely love to show people when they come and look at calves. We try to keep her close by here so you can see her as a cow. She you hit it on the head western. A cow that's so unique in terms of her necktie, how long neck she is, how it ties high on the apex of her shoulder. Yet she's deep sided and then like you said at the surface she is absolutely as a mature cow. People talk about cow's foot sitting inside a dinner plate. I don't think this one's foot would sit fit inside a dinner plate. I think we need a serving tray. I mean she is elephant fat footed, really sound and mobile those safe and sounds. This cow has really clicked well the i80 lines throwing them in there to be maintainers. We had a, a maternal maid female that sold here last or a year or so ago but to the Demery family that was very popular and won the inaugural uh Indiana stock show there here this last year and was highly popular. We've got one of these on the ground right now at an embryo herd that is absolutely impressive. She's a blue roan bodied bellied heifer that is stout, big footed, sexy necked and whale bellied. I really excited about to market her this fall so I think there's just great things to come of it. This cow is has stamped them consistent and as modern as you could get. High tine, big, fat footed, plenty of dimension. You can't go wrong here on this mating.
A
So Malot 10 will be next and these will be jump starts. The female you call Sarah she does go back to Stockdale Sarah's dream. So talk to me about what you think this I mean obviously the female that's put in the first picture at the backdrop to me is extremely unique in her kind. So just talk to me. These will be limb flexes and so what will they do for the future and what do they have to offer?
B
Yep, again another young donor cow that we're getting rolling on. And the Bennington family actually Kaden Bennington showed that Angus female that Conley express on Sarah's dream. And we always gift our showman if they show a heifer for us we gift them a package of embryos. He was able to get a heifer on the on the ground first year and sold that in Drew Brown sale for a good click and was a really impressive female. It's hitting the hitting the show circuit here. Well actually have one of these on the ground again at Embryo herd I just saw the other day and this is a good mating. That's really the modern show heifer. I mean big haired, really big wheeled, as sexy long necked as you could get one and really deep and maternal in the rib set. So obviously again we're all about matching cow families. Obviously jump starts the full sib to the heifer. Sarah Sullivan's that one Louisville and then tie that back to the Sarah's dream cow family. I think that's as modern as you could get. So the three sex IVF females there'd be limb flex.
A
Well lot 11 will be next. These will be sex males out of here. I am on the same Miley cow we've talked about before. Talk to me about what these calves have looked like and what they've done for y' all there.
B
Yep. So this would actually be a different Miley cow. I had mentioned that my father in law has some donor cows that we work into the operation and and this would be one. This would be another daughter of the Miley ADT that would be the mother of these embryos. This cow would be a man to man on Miley. I have only had the heifer here that's pictured online was her first AI. Here I am heifer so came out with the wrong plumbing but boy she was good. High necked, high tine round rib stout hipped, awesome market heifer that was good legged and had lots of shag. We liked her well enough said. We need to put some male parts on them. So sexter and so these will be IVF male embryos. But again modern show steers that'll be short backed, long necked neck, big, stout legged and loads of shag.
A
Well then lots 12 through 15 are all going to be semen lots you're offering in game bankroll and class on class. Obviously all bulls that are known within the industry but also some singing lots that are hard to get as well. So is there any extra comments that you'd like to add to the preview before we kind of start to wrap things up?
B
No. Just want to thank everybody for taking the time to listen through this episode. Feel free. If you're looking at some of these genetic lots or the the Tammy donor herself, feel free to give myself or my wife a call. We'd be happy to talk you through it, answer any questions. And then again, I just can't state enough. We love following up with these. They are genetics. I absolutely love conversing with customers that have bought embryos in the past and going and seeing those calves and letting them know how they feed and gives, giving them tips and tricks. Because obviously if you invest in the program, we just want it to be successful for you. So thank you for taking the time to listen to this preview and appreciate you reaching out. Weston.
A
Yes, sir, Absolutely. Once again, you can find the sale on SEO. It happens on March 8th. Josh's number is on there. So if we didn't answer a question that you had here on the preview, I'm sure he'd love to give you a call like he stated before and do everything he can and in his power to be able to support y' all and whatever y' all need. So with all this said, Mr. Street matter, thank you for allowing us to represent you. Awfully grateful. Empowerment's here. This is what it's all about. And thank you all for tuning in.
