All right, so I got an awesome opportunity here. I get to represent Triple Crown there in Angleton, Texas. I get to do both their Volume 1 and Volume 2 sale. This Volume 1 is happening on April 4th. I'm lucky enough, and I got Mario convinced, so he's on here. For everybody that knows Mario knows he's a good time, and also Cali as well. So I'm extremely excited that I get to have both of them on. I had to pull some strings, get Mario on, but it's going to be all good. I'm really excited. The cattle look phenomenal. There's a lot of live lots as well, some semen lots as well. So first off, Cali, introduce yourself, then Mario. And then after that, we'll kind of do a debrief of everything that y' all offer after sale. And then after that, we'll dive through them.
B
Okay. My name is Cali. We are Triple Crown Ranch, along with my mother, Laurie, sister Savannah, and our whole herd of children. And then Mario, of course, is my husband, Mario.
C
Hi, I'm Mario. Mario.
A
You make my day, Mario. All right, so now what I want you all to do is walk me through everything that y' all do for your customers beforehand, because we had a small conversation prior to this. So walk me through that in terms of what y' all do in terms of feeding management. Obviously, it lists there that Mario does hoof trimming as well. So walk me through that so all of the customers or future customers know. And then after that, we'll go through the lots.
B
Okay. Yeah. Like you said, Mario trims feet on everything that's purchased from us at no charge. And it's kind of a dual purpose thing because you can, you know, you can bring your calf to get their feet trimmed also. We can can, you know, look at him or her talk about the calf, get a plan. We also, we have. We sell feed. We are actually in the process, We. We make our own feed. And. And there's actually a lot of people that buy it and use it, and we weren't even aware. So we're in the process, and I'm hoping. I'm hoping by volume two, we're gonna have our brand new bag. It's going to be a triple Crown, or it's gonna be. It's called tcr. It's gonna be a TCR bag of feed. That's our custom mix that we've used stuff for years. That's an excellent, excellent feed. We feed it to everything from day one to the day that they get turned Out So we'll have that and then as far as our customers go, you know, you're always, always welcome to call us Texas, send us videos, bring, bring your calf over, you know, for an appointment to look at and get, try to get the guest. Best game plan. We also, when heifers are involved, we try to be as helpful as we can breeding wise. We have a lot of people that will bring their calf over to be bred to one of our low birth weight bulls. And so we try to be as all inclusive as possible and you know, just, just saying that, you know that if you want that then reach out to us and we will do the best that we can.
A
Absolutely. Well, to start off the sale you have lot one. Obviously she's out of the yalls Honey trap bull on a quirky wise man amongst boys. Donor of yalls. Obviously this is an arb female and I don't really think it gets any better in terms of your arbs. I mean to have that type of front end build with that kind of rib design in tandem with her feet and legs. I think just flat impressive. Walk me through what you all think of her and we'll just go after that.
B
I think that this heifer is a absolute unicorn, you know, I mean if we try to make more of her, we probably never will but she is absolutely a stunner. She is a freak. She is totally different. She is so beautiful and so elegant and her feet and legs are so impeccable. You know, I would love for her to find a great home that can do everything that she needs because if they do, I feel like she could really go and do some serious things, you know, at majors or wherever you wanted to take her. She's out of a beautiful, beautiful, spectacular black and white cow that we bought in the corky wise dispersal that I was shocked that we were able to afford. And, and then honey trap the bull we sold in the American nation who you know, had a lot of, a lot of friends, a great looking bull. So it's really nice whenever two great looking animals match up and have an even greater looking offspring.
C
Like Callie said, I mean this thing is something else. She's so sound and big metal, long neck, skinny, choke neck. If you want to put the work on her, she will have some pretty good hair for all the jackpots or major shows next year. I mean she's one one good one.
A
Lot two is next. Another honey trap sired female out of yalls Ms. Michelle. This is a brangus heifer and what I love about her is just how stout featured she is and how robust she is about her center skeleton. I think those are two unique pieces that are extremely sought after for the breed. Walk me through what y' all think.
B
Yeah, you know, she's really impressive whenever you get up on her because from a distance you don't see it as much. But when you get up on her, you're like, holy moly, those are some really big feet. And holy moly, those are some really big legs and everything. She, she was really a standout from day one. She always, always walks around with, you know, a super confident look. She's, she's also elegant. Really, really long spine. I mean, I think a person could do a lot of things with her. Not just a show calf. I think that she could, you know, be somewhat of a foundation for your herd. And the cow, on the cow side, we bought her from the L Ray dispersal just as a little heifer. I mean, I don't even know if the thing, if she was a yearling yet. And I mean, she just has matured every year into this more and more and more beautiful cow with a. This beautiful udder. And she takes excellent care of her calves. Like this calf, whenever she weaned her off, I mean, she was a little too fat. Like she had to lose a little weight. And so I'm, I'm so happy with that cow family. And then again, honey trap kind of putting the coolness in her. I really think this is a special brangus heifer. Whether you want to show her or you want to put her out in
C
the pasture, just like Callie said. I mean, this thing is pretty, pretty, pretty cool looking animal. I really believe that after she's done showing, this thing can raise you either steers or rangus. I really, I mean, I really like her to make bulls and steers. I mean breeder back exotic or mangus. I mean, I think you gotta do a purpose there to go either way, but.
B
Oh, and she also, she has a really, she has a really sweet temperament too. Very, very sweet and good to get along with.
C
Yeah.
A
Awesome. Great to know. Great to know. Well, lot three is next and this is a stereo call. Zeke seems as if he's pretty special around there. He's an in God we trust out of the 9F donor of Yalls Girt or ABC option. And in terms of Americans that have sold this year, I think this one's just as high caliber as any of them. I love this steer. Shape up high. I love his pin width. I love his hip and stifle. Shape. But to couple that with a squishy hind leg that moves extremely well, I think is going to have this calf on an awesome place on the green turf there at San Antonio. Potentially Houston as well.
B
Yeah. So his. I mean, this is not really that important, but it kind of is. His color is so awesome. I love it out in the sunshine. Oh my gosh. He like glitters. I love it. But other than that. Yes. He. He's got so much shape. Natural shape too. And he's always full. You know, he's always looking good. He's always bloomy looking. He never has a bad day. He's out of one of our favorite cows that we continue to do good things with. And we will continue do good things with her. I really like. I really, really like the calf. You know, he classes, no problem. But he's still really neat looking. He does, you know, he's not overly trashy or anything like that. And the thing that we do want to point out about him is on his non show side, he. I cannot say that he's blind in one eye. I think he sees some. Don't let that deter you. We're just wanting everybody to. To know. Because if you talk to him on that blind side, he gives you no problems. He's totally easy to work with. He doesn't have any qualms or anything like that. So you treat him like a normal steer. You maybe just talk to him a little.
A
Yes, yes. Mario, what do you think?
C
I mean, this calf, I mean, since he was born, I mean, he's a powerhouse from day one. He'll probably be easy to feed. Just track along. No, no pushing, no nothing. Just let him go. I mean, he got plenty of. Of stuff to go. And he'll probably be a. I will say middle or maybe heavy. And San Antonio, I mean, he'll. He'll probably got enough gas to go to be on the heavy size if somebody take care of him. Right. But I mean, he's a cool animal.
A
Well, lot four is next. This is going to be another arb female that's out of the horn. Livestocks night moves 2.0 on a female y' all call retta. And what I like about this female is her hip and eye leg structure. Just the way she utilizes it and moves it I think is extremely unique. But to couple that with just her mass and dimension, I think just says enough. Talk to me about her and what y' all think.
B
So her mom was the dam of Kep's reserve Gert like two years ago. Houston. Was that it? She's a. She's a big monster of a brangus cow. Huge feet and legs, you know, giant middled, everything like that. And then, so this heifer, you know, whenever she was born, we were like, okay, nice heifer. And then, you know, as she was growing and out in the pasture on her mom and everything like that, you know, I mean, she just kind of stayed with the group and kind of did her thing, and, you know, she didn't get sick, so we didn't have to worry about her. And, you know, she kind of went unnoticed. And so, you know, we weaned her, and then we took her into the back to start the breaking process. And I still remember Savannah and I walking out to go get them on the first day. And, I mean, you know, she had hair all. She's real hair all over her crest and all that. And so we were walking out to get her, and we're pushing them up, and she kind of throws her head up and kind of walks, you know, walks really elegant to the barn. And I was like, whoa. I was like, I. I think. I think that's a good one right there. I was like, I think that is gonna be something. And that is all she has done, is get better and better and better. Like, I love her more today than I did on picture day. I mean, she. She's got so much mass and so much center body and so much top and so much hind end. But then her neck is teeny and elegant and girly and little. And her feet. I mean, you called it right. Her feet and legs are absolutely perfect. They are beautiful. They're wonderful. You'll never have to worry about them. And I think in the heifer world, that in all cattle in general, that is so important. Those feet and legs to start at that foundation. And she absolutely has that foundation 100%.
C
I really like this heifer. I mean, this thing is so sound. So elegant. She'd never have a bad day. I mean, she always looks ready to go. I mean, she. She'll be a good one to take home.
A
Awesome. Well, lot five would be next. This is a steer y' all call Big Al. He's a. That's him on one of Yalls Brahmin donors. This actually be a full sib to the live festies reserve brow in there at San Antonio this year. And it's like y' all said kind of in the comments, this calf's a. A bigger calf and has some grow, so definitely gonna be most likely a heavyweight. But I Think as a heavyweight Brahminster, he's a huge contender. Big footed, stout, featured, bold rib steer that I think has the right character to couple that, especially for the breed. But what I think is the most unique about him is just his proportions from the side. Talk to me about him, what y' all think on him.
B
Yes, he is. He's a full sib to. To life festies. And if you saw that calf in San Antonio, he was. He was a great calf. He was a great one from the day that he was born. And so, you know, obviously we flushed the cow and the cowboys, so the cow is the only purebred calf from our mama Brahmin Brahman cow. That lifestyle hung several banners with at majors with Brahman steers. And so that she is a product of that cow. The calf himself is absolutely going to be a heavyweight in San Antonio. No doubt. He's a big guy and, you know, there's no. There's no. No other place for him than a heavyweight. But I mean, that is where the winners come out of most of the time. And he does have such good. Such a leg set and the shape of his leg and his foot and everything is so good that you know that, yeah, he's going to be a big boy, but he's going to keep the running gear to stay sound. And in the Brahman deal, that can be so important because you'll have those big, ripped up, awesome Brahmins, but they can't move. But this guy can. And I really think he'll stay that way. And, you know, he's. As you can see, his neck is super long. It's super attractive. And I think that as he goes, he's just going to get bigger and burlier and stouter. But keep that really cool, good look and those really good feet and legs. That'll help you get to the finish line.
C
Like Callie said. I mean, this thing, I mean, he got some muscle. I mean, you want a big muscle steer, especially out there on the green turf. And this one got every bit of it. I mean, you cannot go wrong with this guy. He got it all to go with the big package.
A
Lot six is next. This would be a redneck Romeo over female, y' all call bubblegum. This is going to be a gerder ABC prospect. He reads like he's got a few scurs, so walk me through that. Besides that, I think this calf's length of neck, shoulder angle, and the way it sits inside of him in tandem with that, just his levelness of hip and his Hind leg posture. I do like this calf a lot and I think that his feet and legs can handle being pushed to get to where he needs to be. 12 o' clock for show day, y' all talk to me about him.
B
Yeah. And honestly, in this picture, he reads a little bit flatter than I would have hoped because he is not that way. He's got plenty of shape and turn and all that stuff. But in that picture, you can see what an attractive steer he is. He's got really good middle, you know, he's got, he's got a really good hind leg that sits down really nice. He is a steer that, you know, I guess if you wanted to take your chance and run in bring us, man. He would make a really, really good bring us. But I think he'd make a great girt as well. So, you know, either way you go, I think you're going to be just fine. He is, he's a really good natured calf. He's got a really good disposition. You know, he, he kind of was one of the ones that we weaned a little later for different reasons. And he's in the pin with some bigger, fatter steers and so they kind of push him around a little. But you know, every day he just gets better and is getting fuller and bloomier and everything. And I would say if there is an underrated steer, it's him. Like he, he is a really good calf that needs a good home. And I think that in the end you'll be so pleased.
A
Mario, what do you think?
C
I really like this calf. I mean, like Cali said, I don't know if you'll go Brandis or not. You can take your chance. I mean, but he'll be a guard for sure. And I mean, he can feed good, I really believe. I mean, he, he, he's kind of greener still. He just need a good home. And then he'll, he'll, he'll work it pretty good. Work his way up.
A
Well, lot seven is next. This is going to be an in God we trust bull option out of again yalls 9F donor. And it seems as if she just knocks out these gold color ones that look so majestic. Another GERD ABC prospect. And what I like about the cap bull option is his character. I think that this one on some half blood females, potential exotics. Can't say that for sure, but I think could work. Mario, you could probably tell me so or not because you actually see the bull in person every day. But in terms of a steer option I think he's a true standout. Y' all walk me through your thoughts.
C
Yeah, this guy, I mean, he's. He. He'll work really good for either bull or steer. I mean, he got plenty character to go. I really believe you can put him in straight exotic. And he's still be okay, but he got plenty of muscle. I mean, and big bone. He does have a hernia that. I mean, we'll stand back and we'll. We'll have to fix him before he goes to his new home then.
B
But. Yeah, I mean, we'll. We'll fix him no problem. 100% guaranteed. If you can't tell. Mario really doesn't want to cut him, but is what it is. But yeah, I mean, he's a. He's a really. I think he's a better bull. To be completely honest. I think he's a better bull. I think that he can put a lot of good things into your herd. You know, he's got a great color. He's got great character, big old legs. He has a big sappy belly, plenty of muscle. He's really square made really good top line right in behind his shoulders. He stays really true. If it was. If it was my choice, I would keep him a bull. I mean, you and about him is he does not look too bullied right now to where if you did want to steer him, he would still look fine. He doesn't look like a. You know, like he's getting in to be a big bully mature bull or anything. So if you wanted to go ahead and cut him, then you're gonna have a good steer.
A
Absolutely. I completely agree. And even with that said, do y'. All. Have y' all tested him yet, like genetic defect wise? Because I'd love to know if he's th or DS or pha.
B
No, we have not. Is going to bet you that he's th. Because he does have a bit of a bump on his head. I. I don't know. I don't like to take. I don't like to take those bets. But if it's, you know, if. If he is bought for a bull option, then we can absolutely, you know, absolutely get him up. We'll. We'll grab some hair and we'll go ahead and send it in for the new owner.
A
Awesome. Awesome. Well, lot eight is next. This is gonna be another Night Moves 2.0 on a Samson daughter. Obviously another steer. Bring us GERD or ABC, y'. All. Walk me through what y' all think of him. I think just in Terms of his silhouette from the side, his lines rewrite. His hind leg is exceptional. Walk me through your thoughts.
B
No, this calf, he's another calf that has come a really, really long way and gets better and better every day. I think that he would be really easy to feed as far as you could push him as much as you wanted and he's gonna stay sound for you. He does have a great, great hind leg that can take all kinds of whatever you want to throw at him. Implants, feed, supplements, whatever. He's going to handle it. He's not very big and I don't think he'll ever be, you know, he would be probably a really good lightweight. Bring us in San Antonio, maybe you get to a middleweight and, and I mean he's really, he's so complete. That's the best way to describe him is absolutely and completely complete. There isn't a big hole in him. He's just one that's going to get better and better. And he's also, he's got a really good attitude and coupled with the fact that he' never going to be a really big calf, he could maybe be just what you're looking for. If you have a younger kid that you're kind of wanting to get into it and wanting to fall in love with it. Because I think that this, this guy will be that steer that you don't want to let go of.
C
Yeah, like Cali said, I mean this calf got all the, the right pieces used to push the gas on all the way through. Like she said, he'll probably never be a heavyweight, but you can just go and go and with the, if you got a little kid, I mean he can go with a little showman no problem. Always elegant. I mean he got, he got the good pieces.
A
Lot nine is next. This is a stereo called Zoolander. I love the names by the way. This is a zookeeper on a knock knock Brahmin cross, female Lemmy or AOC Pictures extremely intriguing for a steer to come with that kind of lengthen neck and still tie in well and still be flat shouldered I think is awfully impressive. But I think coupled with that just in terms of his shape up high rib cage, hip and hind leg. I mean the calf reed's extremely unique for sure. What are yalls thoughts?
B
Definitely unique is a good way to describe him. For a really long time we were not going to cut him. We were going to keep him for a bull for ourselves. But to be honest with you, he just got, he got too clean. He just did. He Was supposed to be an American. You know, maybe in some universe he could be. I don't know. But just to be on the safe side, you know, if you're looking for an American, don't buy him. But everything else about him, he's got a great color. I'm pretty sure when you shear him, he's going to be like a yellow tiger stripe, which is, like, way cool,
A
especially for an exotic.
B
Yes, yes. And. But he's so cocky. He's so confident. He walks around like he is a bad dude all the time. He's got big old feet, and he's got tons and tons of muscle, tons of shape. He's another one that he looks good all the time. He's always full. He's always bloomy. He. You know, he's always. If you wanted to drag one around to a bunch of jackpots this summer, that looks good. I mean, he would be a great option that probably a lot of judges would think that he was a way cool guy. Comes out of a really, really good knock knock cow that we. We purchased a couple years ago. And then the Zook bull that we're just. We're a huge fan of Zookeeper. He's such a cool, cool, and he's so different. He's so unique. And I think that this calf is a lot like that bull in that aspect of just being a little bit different, you know, a little freaky, but also having the fundamentals that you need to be a good calf.
C
Yeah. I mean, this calf, I mean, to be honest, we are trying to raise up a little American Bo. He didn't work out. He got too clean. But anyway, I mean, he'll. He'll work on the other side. He, like Cali said, I mean, he's always elegant. I mean, he doesn't have a bad day. He's always ready to go.
A
Awesome.
B
And again, never gonna be. Never gonna be a big. A big steer. Always gonna probably be light or middle, but, you know, I mean, that's. That's not a. A big deal. He's just never going to be a big, huge, heavy calf.
A
Do y' all feel as if he could. Fort Worth contender? I can't for sure say that, but I'd like to get your thoughts on it.
B
He did have. Go ahead.
C
He did have a big old shag when he was a baby. He did then. I mean, we shear him off to make him survive down here. I mean, he gets pretty hot in the summer.
A
Right.
C
But he did have a pretty good shag.
B
Yeah, he did he had like, he had like crazy thick, like really good.
C
I really believe if he goes up there by the north Texas up north, I mean, he will have a good shag again, no doubt.
A
Awesome. Okay, well that's good to know. I was curious about that. Lot 10 is next. This is gonna be a standout on a King Kong American female of yalls, Gert or abc. And it does state Mario. You need dehorned the calf since then, but definitely what you would call your first year showman in terms of docility. Y' all call him a little puppy dog around there. But to couple that, I do like the calf's balance from this side. Just the way his chest sits inside him and his ratio from fore rib to flank is incredible. I think in the end this calf's gonna have an awesome silhouette from profile anywhere from San Antonio, Houston.
B
Yes. He is a absolute great calf for a first year kid or a kid that, you know, there's so many kids that have bad experiences and then they're scared and they need that one calf to get them back on track. And he is, he's definitely that calf. You know, he comes in the stall and he lays down the second he gets in there. And then whenever it's time to go out, you have to get him up and make him leave and you know he wants to lick on you and he wants to be in your pocket and that, that's so important for so many reasons. Whenever you're talking about younger kids or kids that have had a bad experience. But the calf himself, he, I will say he looks way better without his gigantic horns. But he's, he's long, he's long fronted, he's good fronted. He's got a huge, huge top top, huge middle. You know, one of those that like you could not feed him for three days and he's still gonna have a big old belly on him. You know, he's got plenty of shape and everything like that. He just needs a kid that is going to love him and you know, a family that'll get the most out of him for many different reasons.
C
Yeah, I really think this cat feel laid good in either San Antonio or Houston. I mean he does have a big old top and he got some muscle to go with. I mean he, he's a good calf. I really like him and he does look better with no horse.
A
Yes. Slide 11 is next. This is a get you some out of female. You'll call Gladys. She's an arb and what I love about her is her depth of rib like, in the way it's silhouette from the side. The complete profile of this female is what is unique to me. But the way she couples that with an awesome hind leg that's extremely good at the surface. I. I do like the female a whole lot. What do y' all think?
B
Yeah, she is ridiculous as far as her belly. I mean, it is. It's huge. And it's really funny because she's been like that since, like, the day she was born. She came out this belly dragger. And, you know, I tell a lot of people, they come out and they're like, oh, my gosh, look at that. That one's belly. Her belly. And you know, a lot of times, right, wrong or indifferent, if you've got a calf with a big old belly, you're. As soon as you walk in the ring, you're in the first year, you know, you're in the front half of the class just because of the belly. And I mean, she has it in spades. She is huge middle. And one really cool and unique thing about her is that, I mean, that has got to be a lot of weight sagging on, sagging to the ground in that big old belly of hers. But her top line maintains just, like, so level and so strong and so good right in her shoulder and right behind. Her shoulder is strong. It's dead level. And that's really, really impressive to me that she can hold up everything that she's got going down below in her top line with still such a good hip. And it's another one. I, you know, sound like a broken record and everything. But her feet and legs are absolutely stupendous. They're wonderful. They're built to last. You know, you can walk her fast, you can walk her slow, you can run her. It doesn't matter. She's gonna be very, very sound. And she's also, you know, she's really. She's really pretty to look at. She is. She's a quintessential, you know, female. That's what she looks like. She looks like a female. And I think that anywhere you go, she's excellent for jackpotting right now to take in the summer. Drag her around. Drag her big old belly around. She's gonna have a great day every day. And I think you'll. You'll do a lot of good with
C
her, just like Callie said. I mean, this thing all sound big metal, pretty good top, elegant. I mean, every time you go out there, I mean, she picks the head up and walks away. You. She always catches your Eye, I mean, every, every single time you go out there, she. She does have a nice hair. If you do put a little work, I mean, she'll probably keep it all the way through.
A
Lot 12 is next. This is going to be a cheap thrills female or out of that sire on an American business mab beefmaster. What I like about the female is how she's got a little chrome to her from her flank down to her navel and even down on her on her hind too. But even with that, I do like this female's build. The angle to her shoulder, the way it sits in her, her length and levelness of spine and how, how she maintains it. But coupled with that, just a big level hip as well. Talk to me about her. I, I do like her quite a bit.
B
Yeah, she, she's a little younger than a lot of the heifers in the sale. She's also a lot greener, which is, which is okay. They don't need to be big and fat right now. They're better skinny. So she has a sister that showed in Houston. She would have been in the oldest division. She won her class. Same. It's funny. Same marking, same white in her belly and white on her feet. That I thought was an absolute beauty that day at Houston. So if, if you, if you remember, then this heifer looks a lot like that one. Just, you know, really big middled, a lot of internal dimension. Really, really petite, really pretty. Tiny little neck, tiny little head, beautiful chest. We try really hard in our cattle to make them good chested cattle so that whenever you do need to push them and whenever they do need to be big and bold and all that, that you're not gonna get a big nasty chest floor and fat poems and all that. And so we do try really hard to breed that way. She's no, you know, she's no exception. She is. She does get better every day. She grows on you and grows on you. Everybody. That's what everybody tells me. They're like, man, this effort is like way good. I'm like, yeah, I know. She's like, you know, they're like. I didn't really pay that much attention to her, but walking around out here, you know, she kind of steals the show. And it's true, she does. She walks around, you know, so nice.
C
Yeah, I mean, this thing, I mean, she's getting better and better as the days go by. I mean, I really like this headphone. I think she'll be a good one to take as a heavy bread. Yeah, I mean, chill. She'll be hard to get around her.
A
Lot 13 is next. This is going to be a female that's out of the bull you call rooster on a beefmaster In God We Trust female. And actually what's intriguing is for her to be out of an In God We Trust female and still come out black, I think is kind of unique. I don't know. That's just me. I think that's really cool. But on top of that, her build's awesome. I love her feet and legs. And to couple that, that just with her angularity and proportions from the side, I think the females are true standout one day. And honestly, in terms of being a bread, I think this one as a heavy bread will be really neat.
B
Yeah, and. And, And a lot of. A lot of our cattle, we do, we feed them and we breed them. All geared towards that second year, that heavy bread stage, you know, so that, you know, as a calf, they may be a little green or whatever, but as a bread, they're right on. Because there's so many cattle that show nowadays, and you see it a lot in the arbs. They don't make it to that second year. They can't. They're just too overdone as a calf, and you just. You don't get much out of them. But she. This one is definitely one that will be in for the long haul. She is. She's out of a first calf heifer, so she's a little greener again. That's it. Is okay. She is so. She's so cute, but. I mean, that's a stupid way to say it, but. But she is. Hold on, give me a second. She is. She's got a lot of belly and a lot of rib and a lot of shape, but it's in this dainty, feminine little package. And she kind of, like, struts around with, like, her cocky little head, the way she holds it, you know, and she. She just looks like a million bucks all the time. My favorite thing about her is you look at her and, like, you know, she's got, you know, this little head and little neck, and she's not very big herself because she's kind of younger. And. But then you look down and she's got these big, huge feet, and you're like, oh, my gosh, where did those come from? You know, and those feet are fantastic. We are so pleased with this rooster bull in the. The structure that he's putting on them. We're really excited about that. And she is one of the reasons we're so excited. Beautiful structure. Beautiful female. Give her two years and you're gonna have a really, really good one.
C
I really like this heifer. I mean, she is, she is very, very good.
B
You've liked her from the.
C
Yes. Like she was born and like you said, had a In God we trust yellow cow. I mean, she came out black and I mean she was really cocky since she was little. And with beautiful feet and legs. I mean, they're hard to get around when you make them like that.
B
When they. They're. Yeah, they're sound and they're gonna sound forever. Yeah, that's hard to do.
C
Yeah. And she'll probably feed very, very easy for somebody.
A
I mean.
C
No, no doubt.
B
Yeah, yeah. Easy feeder. Yes.
A
Awesome. Well, that's great to know. Hot 14 is next. This is going to be a Dirty secret female on a. On a cow. That is a risky business. Mama Brahmin, y' all list her is an abc. I noticed she's got a little white around her. Utter. Talk to me about her and what y' all think her future looks like. I think her added dimension and mass up high truly sets her apart.
B
She has a lot to her. A lot to her. She's got a lot of body. She's very broody. She's been that way since she was little out of a. Just a beautiful, beautiful cow that took excellent care of her. And I think she's gonna go on to be the same type of cow that you just stick out in the pasture and she's gonna do her job and she's gonna stay fat and she's gonna raise you a fat, healthy calf every year. The cow, her mama has probably the best bag of the ranch, don't you think? I mean, just phenomenal herself. You know, you could jackpot her and have a really good time with that. She's a. To me, she's a standout county fair heifer. You know, in our county in particular, we have three divisions. We have a half or more, a less than half and a non. And I think that you get her into half or more and I think if you, if you were shopping for our county and you were to get this heifer into half or more, you would really have done yourself some good. And again, again with the structure, beautiful, beautiful structured. If you've ever seen Dirty Secret, he is such an awesome bull, such a great looking animal and he. We've had a lot of luck with him and he likes to make those calves really great looking and really dense made and really big footed and that's Exactly. That's exactly what she is.
A
Is this the dirty secret that Thigpen had? I'm just trying to make sure.
B
Yeah. Okay.
A
Yeah. I love that bull. I absolutely love that bull.
B
Yeah. Yeah, he is. He's something. I. I saw him. I don't even remember. I just saw a picture of him, and it said that he was raised by Brian Henzey. And so I called him. I was like, like, what is this? I was like, I. I need some semen on this thing. So. So we've been using him for several years, and we've always had really good luck.
C
I mean, this heifer's back wheels. I mean, they are something. I mean, you can picture a better leg than she does. Like Callie said, I mean, this. I mean, being an abc, I mean, she. She can only go to so many shuttles, jackpots in county or so, but I mean, if you can get in the half or more, I mean, you'll be. Be hard to get around. I mean, I mean, she. She will. She will be a good one.
A
Awesome. Lot 15 is next. This is going to be a. Get you some on a female. Y' all call Abigail. Now, with that said, this is going to be an ARB female. Obviously, y' all listers being one of the older females of the group, but again, y' all are thinking she's more ideal for, like, Yalls. Yalls county show. I think that the female, regardless of setting, regardless of where she ends up, she's got the feet and legs that. That are extremely functional. And tandem with that, she's got a bold rib cage and an awesome look. Y' all talk to me what y' all think.
B
Yeah, she. Yes, she is one of the. She's one of the older heifers in the sale and in our county. And I think that, you know, every county has their specific rules, but so in our county, you know, they. They can't be born after September. And then in some neighboring counties, you know, in October, they have to be, you know, over 800 pounds or, you know, there's all those things. But. But she fits that really well for our county. She is the right age for surrounding counties. She's big and stout and heavy, structured and got the grow and everything to make that £800 and then go on from there to be one that. That is gonna look the part at the show because you're not gonna have to push on her. Push on her. Push on her. You know, I mean, she's just kind of. Kind of get there where she needs to be. And do her thing. You know, she's a really massive animal. Her mom is a big, huge, massive cow. She will be the same, you know, like I said, heavy structured. Heavy structured, big legs, got a lot of top shape. And I think she'll. She'll grow into herself really, really well.
C
Yeah, I mean, she is a really nice animal and we really believe she'll do very good on some of them shows she'll hit down the road.
B
And a lot of those, like, a lot of it for, for us, our county fair, it's the scramble. It's only to scramble kids that have to adhere to the September rule. And you know, there's a lot of. There's a lot of kids that run into, oh my gosh, what are we going to buy this? It has to be this big. And. And I think that she is kind of the perfect animal for somebody that's in that situation.
A
Well, lot 16 is next. Another horn livestocks night moves 2.0 on a female. You'll call Ravenna an arb female. What I think is intriguing about her is just how neat she is just in terms of the refined shape to her skull over the top side of her crest. Even with that, I love the. The chest floor and how it lays in her, how neat her navel looks. Even with that, she's just an extremely symmetrical female. From profile that reads to be awesome hair. Y' all talk to me about her.
B
Yes. So from what we've seen in our Night Moves. So Night Moves we bought like, I guess two years ago and Brandon said that he would make really great females and he was right. So Night Moves is a full sib deloaded red, but in a black version. And we have found that Night Moves calves, like lot four, for example, they do have that really good, dense, thick hair that stays in. They. They really haven't shucked that much. I mean, they've shucked some, but not like they're not bald. Really, really nice hair that we really, really like. And then all of them, all those Night moves are really, really sound, really good feet. And they also are. They have little bitty necks and a little bitty head. And in this, in the case of this heifer, you know, you get that tiny head, tiny neck, and then she just goes boom into this massive animal. Huge shot, huge top, huge rib shape, big old belly, lots of muscle. My favorite thing about her, and it's really hard to get a brangus and. Or an American just in general. Her heart and her fore rib is like, like, absolutely awesome. It is so good. She is so full and smooth and perfect in her heart and fore rib. And I'm a big. I'm like, I'm a big weirdo about that. And I mean, I love her just for that fact.
C
I will say we didn't have to pay no bill. We could have leave this one here and our kids shower. But I mean, we had to let
B
him go stay here and raise raised deer.
C
Yeah, but we do have to let them go sometimes. And I mean, this one is the whole package right here. I mean, you got it on this one.
A
Yes, sir. Lot 17 is next. This is gonna be a bet on Baba. On a monster. Man amongst boys. Brahmin female. A lister as an arb or possibly E6. I don't know how that for sure works, but in terms of her color, it's one unique. But in tandem with that, she reads extremely maternal. Now, I know like she reads green as well. But in terms of her maternal pieces, once again, the shape to her head, the way her jaw is and her neck and the way it looks and just her chest reads like once she starts to grow within herself, it's going to read tidy and just the shape to her navel as well. Talk to me about her and what y' all think.
B
So what I meant on there by arb is that instead of of all the other heifers that are arbs, they are arbs. On the Brangis side, they have one parent that's a brangus. In her instance, she is still considered an arb, but it's in the Beef Master side. So they're called the E6s. So one of her parents bet on Bubba is a Beef Master. So she would still show in the arbs with all the Brangus crosses, Gert crosses, all that. But she's just on the Beef Master.
C
But the state and national, that's master.
B
That is true. At our at Brangus State and nationals. Just so everybody knows, they do have an ARB division in the Brangus specification that you can take those calves to for a summer show. State nationals. It's a great time. And then in. In her instance, the Beef Master breed does the same thing. They have an E6.6 division at their state nationals so you can get more bang for your buck out of these arbs. You just have to get with whichever breed association you will belong to. So that is a good thing to know. But the heifer herself, I was really excited. I was really excited about her and her. My favorite part about her is her head and neck. Neck. It's so like, you know, quintessential brahminy. She's got these big old huge ears and this dainty little American head. And then I. I really like a good little throat latch. I think it's really attractive and kind of maternal looking, you know, and she holds her head so cocky and so confident. And then she's got a really cool color. She's got a really big top and absolutely gigantic, gigantic legs. I think that there's a lot of cool things that you could do with her breeding wise. You know, breeder to a planer. You know, really loose, structured, kind of. Kind of bull. And I think you could get some really cool things.
A
I think this is my personal opinion. Her on like a God bless America or even, let's say a keep swinging bull or a dirty secret or something of that nature. Would be some awesome club cabs.
B
Yeah, yeah, for sure. If you keep something, something with a little American in them, you know, kind of couple that with her. Yeah, I mean, I think you could get some. Some really cool stuff.
C
Yeah, I agree with y'. All. I mean, this, this heifer does have some good pieces. I mean, her bone, I mean, they are something. I mean, they are big. I mean, they are big and little bitty neck. I mean, I'm. I'm excited for this one to make the next one.
B
So quick. What bull would you breed her to?
C
Mario Breeder to Preacher man, our new bull.
A
There you go.
C
King O, king, six, three.
A
Awesome. Yeah, Perfect.
B
Okay, so let's say this. If you buy her, we'll give you two straws of Preacher Man.
A
Let's do it. Let's do it. Okay, awesome. Well, then lot 18 is next. Another honey trap female out of a female. Y' all call queen Tara a brangus female. And quite honestly, she's one of the most intriguing in my mind, just from profile. And I know that's probably a little weird, but I say that, that because of her lower joint work. Obviously there's some people out there with these theories about squishy feet and legs. I love squishy pastures and she represents that. And I think they're long lasting and they look impressive from profile. And that's what I think of this female. But she couples that with an awesome rib cage as well. Talk to me about what you all think.
B
I personally am a squishy foot lover. I think it just, it adds extra. I. I love it. I always will. This heifer in particular. So her mom, her mom was a real, real standout as a calf. Her mom won our Our open state show and open futurity as like a January and which was you know, pretty unheard of several years ago. And she resembles her mother a lot. She's out of the 222 cow family, which is one of. Which is basically our founding cow family that always been one of our favorites. A lot of great cows have come out of that. And normally those 222s, they make exceptional females. She's really long necked, really little headed. And then she has a big, a big big body. Like really big bodied. She'll be one of those that you know, you don't have to feed very much. And she's going to kind of just do it for you and go out and I think in the end she'll make an excellent, excellent cow for you as well.
C
I really like this heifer. I mean I like her pedigree. I mean being a honey trap, quite a impressive bull. And then her mother, I mean she was pretty special when she was showing as a cow. She's quite impressive to look at. I mean this, this heifer. I mean as a heavy bred I can see this thing being pretty special animal.
B
But she's cool also because even without being heavy bred she looks heavy bred.
C
I mean she got no chest. I mean she, she is one nice looking animal.
A
Awesome. I love it. Well, lot 19 is next and in God we trust out of the 9F donor. Once again. The 9F domers extremely prominent for making colored calves at Yalls Place. And I can just tell by looking through this sale. An ARB female. I'll be completely honest, I'm in love with her color and I. I love, love her variations of gray. But to couple that with just her angularity or the size of her hip and this is going to be weird because she's a heifer. But her hip and lower quarter and stifle shape, I love it. I think the female's awfully impressive. I think she's going to make awesome American show steers one day as well.
B
Yeah, absolutely. She has a. She has a half sister that we have out in the pasture. It would be, it would be 9F's first, first calf. And. And that cow is one of the most gorgeous big bodies out square made cows that we have that she looks exactly like. Like lot 19 whenever she was, whenever she was young. 19 is not. She's not a big cow. She's never gonna be a big cow. But she is a wide animal. She has tons of product, tons of power, huge top. I mean just so much Top shape, shape so much lower quarter. But then her head and neck and chest is, you know, as chiseled and as cool looking as you can make one. These, these cows, these heifers, they make great, great cows to go and you know, breed back to an American they have. The good thing about them is that they have as much or more punch and power and turn and muscle. Has those clubby bred ones, you know, those big clubby cows. But you can breed them to something that maybe doesn't have as much sheath but still has enough. And coupled together the enough and the nuff, you combine it and you get the perfect amount of leather and everything to classify. So I think that that's really cool. She's kind of like a clubby heifer in an, in an American body. And if you wanted to, you could absolutely show her. Her, you could because she is papered, so you could show her if you wanted to. But I see her as major, major cow power.
C
I mean, I do like when they, they're built like this, I like muscle. I mean, this thing got a big top, big o, big old top. I mean, in big middle. I mean this thing looks pretty good. No matter what day of what time of the day you. You go out there and believe it or not, this thing for being an arb. I mean this thing was pretty shaggy when she was a baby. I mean, I probably shoot her twice to make her survive through the, through the heat.
B
Her belly hair was like literally six inches.
A
I'm crazy.
C
I mean, this thing was. It was. She was hairy. I mean, and she still got a little fuss. But I mean, the power then this heifer got. I mean, she's something.
A
Okay, real quick on point. First buoy breeder to rooster.
B
Yeah, me too, rooster. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. One thing I'll say about this heifer is that Mario and I had this thing going and I was super. I was on him because I was like, Mario, we're gonna breed this cow to in God we trust and we're gonna get not enough tail and everything. And every calf that, that came out of that mating, they have plenty of tail switch. They have a great color. So having said that, I would not be afraid to breed her back black and not worry about any sort of a rat tail or anything like that.
C
You probably ended up with the black one. If you bring back that black one, you get a black one again.
B
Yep.
A
Okay, lot 20 is next. This is going to be a Cletus on the Rhianna cow of y'. All, this is a Brangus female and in all transparency, she reads a little green once again, they need to be that right now. But her feet and legs are incredible. I mean, she looks like she has a huge footage foot and that's just me watching the video. But to couple that again with an awesome hind leg and an awesome shoulder angle with that kind of length of neck. I think that she's incredible in terms of her presence and arrogance as well.
B
Yeah, her mom, our daughter, showed last year at state nationals. And I mean she was, she was one of my favorites of all time. Just a massive, massive, heavily constructed cow. Big, huge feet, big legs, but still maintained a absolutely beautiful zero chest floor. Up until, up until the last show, she never looked overdone, she never looked stale. And I think that this heifer is going to be a lot like her mom. And I think that makes for a really good situation. One thing I will mention is I think Savannah and I got a little crazy with the dying. And so in her picture she's a little kind of just too black. But if you watch the video, you can see more of her, you know, her shape and everything like that. So watch the video. Video. But so the way we managed her mom is basically we just kind of let her grow, let her do her thing. We didn't get her out much and then when she got bread, we just poured it to her. And I was so pleased with that cow last summer. And the similarities between the cow and her are very, very, very similar. And I think that as a, a bread one that you're gonna be able to just go, go, go. You're not gonna have to hold her. She's not gonna get stale as a bread that thing. She is going to be something extraordinary. And I don't mean, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't say, I don't say that lightly. But with her feet and legs and the, in her neck and everything in her chest, I think as a bread, she is really spectacular.
C
I mean the feet and legs on this one, I mean, they are something, they are quite, quite, quite good. I really like this effort. I mean, Georgia, our daughter, showed her mom, I mean, make her a little special too. But I mean, when she was, she was a first timer, of course, she was little and then she started getting better and better every day. And I think she will get way better than she really is right now.
A
She, she.
C
I mean, I really like her as a calf. I know she's green, but I really think she'll, she'll do very good on the show ring.
B
She's got a lot of top shape.
A
She's got a lot.
C
You got a lot of.
B
A lot of muscle and everything and. Yeah, quarter and stuff like that.
C
Again, she. She got it.
A
Good to know. Great to know. Well, the last live lot that you'll have to offer is lot 21. This is going to be a rooster on a standout beefmaster female. Another arbitration. Arguably one of the densest haired females y' all have to offer. And I love her hair coat, especially for yalls part of the world. So I commend y' all for that. But with that, that's an extremely long and skinny neck that is tied in with a tidy chest, extremely clean naveled. I mean, I love the female's maternal silhouette from profile and I love her feet and legs. I know I sound like a broken record there, but I mean, in terms of functionality, in terms of all of the cattle that you'll have to offer, I don't think that that's a strike against y' all in any way form. Talk to me about her. What y' all think?
B
Well, as far as the hair coat goes, don't give us any credit. That's all her because we don't have time to give anybody too much attention. So that's just the way she is. And I think that if she goes to the right home and all the stars align and everything, that she could be. She could be really hairy in. In the winter at majors and stuff like that. But aside from her hair, again, the feet and legs are so good. Her neck is. It's crazy. It's. It's almost weird. It's so giraffe. She. She, you know, out in the pen and everything. She doesn't get real excited about much. She just kind of hoe hums, does her thing, you know. And I remember one day, I think we were turning out something and the Kim our kids ran by hollering like. Like crazies. And she picks her head up and she cranes her neck and looks at him. And I was like, oh, my gosh. I, you know, I was like hitting Savannah on the arm. I'm like, spanner. Savannah, Savannah, look at that. Can you look at that? That's almost unreal, you know, And. And that's the way she is. She is. Whenever she picks her head up and does the thing she does with her neck, I mean, it's unreal. It's mesmerizing. It's crazy. She's one that again, very green. She came off of A first calf heifer. And you know, she's that two year project. She's that two year project that you try to get some hair on her, you get her bread, right? And all those things and you try to, to you try to go for the big banner, I think in this one. And I don't say that, I don't say that lightly because I know how many things can happen. I know how many cattle are out there and everything. But, but she is, she's special.
C
I mean, this effort, I mean, she's one of my favorite ones. I mean, as a big bread one, I mean, she. She's going to be hard to get around if, if she goes to the right home, of course. I mean, the little bitty neck she got them feeding legs. I mean, they are perfect. I mean, decepher. Decepher is good. I mean, for sure.
A
Yeah, I completely agree. So now with that said, 23 all the way through lots, 40 are all going to be semen lots. Majority of these bulls we've talked about. But what I'd like y' all to do is walk me through each one that y' all are offering semen on, what they've done for your program, why y' all are offering semen on them, how they could be utilized.
B
Okay. Honey trap. If anybody saw him at the American Nation cell, I mean, he, he is a. He's an incredible, incredible animal that we are so proud to have raised and so thankful and grateful to SNS and the Betcher family that bought him. And I hope that they have so much success with him. Obviously you can see that we have utilized him and we've utilized him well and we're really happy with what he's done. We've put up, you know, quite a bit of semen on him. But having said that, I don't know what his new owners are going to decide semen wise. So I don't know how much is going to be readily available kind. What we have discovered with him is that he will put good structure on them. He'll put a good neck, a really good chest. Most of the calves are going to be really strong, really strong topped. And they're going to have a lot of upper rib shape and a lot of turn and shape from behind. If I was going to say, hey, you need to do this, it would be, you need to breed him to a cow that has a lot of lower depth at upper. The upper rib shape he's got. You need to have some of that lower rib shape and then also a pretty Clean like throat latch. The throat latch itself needs to be pretty tidy for him.
A
Awesome. Now talk to me about Uproar because he's been a pretty phenomenal bull for y' all so far.
B
Go ahead, Mario. You love the bull.
C
I love this bull since he was a baby. I mean, I mean, the bull is massive. I mean, if you want mass, I mean, he got a big old bone and legs. I mean, they are big. And if you want no chest, I mean, he is the one. I mean, he got zero. I mean, he, he is something else. I like him. We got some calves on the ground and they are pretty, pretty unique little creatures. They are very small. I know. I mean, for like you can, I will say you can bring them to a first time heifer and, and don't have no problems. But I mean, he got a short back. I mean he, I think he's a pretty unique bull.
B
The calves, they've been, they've been big topped, big butted, good structured, cool looking. You know, some of the, some of the planar cows that we bred him to, he definitely made them better. You know, it'll, you know, maybe the best calf that they've, that they've ever had. You know, really an upgrade. And so we're real, we're really excited to keep using him. We're going to use him a lot more coming up. And I think a lot of people could do a lot of different things, you know, as far as how to breed him. We bred him to a lot of different cows. And the best thing I can say is that on those planer cows, he made them better and on the good cows, he made them really good.
A
Awesome. Well, that's great to know as well. The next bull y' all are offering semen on is the CrossFit bull. Talk to me about him as well.
B
We sold him several years ago in one of our sales and I think he, I think he passed away, to be honest with you, but not before, you know, they got some calves out of him and stuff. You know, we hadn't really, we hadn't really thought about it much, but then Savannah was looking on the pulse and was like, oh my gosh. You know, the, the Reserve American at, at Austin was a CrossFit. And you know, we were like, man, we have some semen. You know, maybe we should offer some, some. But that bull, whenever we used him, he made him super long spine, super long, stretchy necked, little bitty head, really long neck, really upheaded, zero chest, lots of muscle. The bull was really really, really powerful, lots of muscle when you get behind him. What I would say is that if, you know, if you're looking to breed him to bring us, just make sure that, that that animal has enough foot and bone underneath them. If I was gonna say, you know, you want to breed them for steers and stuff and you know, they, we didn't use him for that. So it's hard for me to speak to that. But I would assume you would need to breed him to a cow that already has a little bit of leather on her.
A
Okay, awesome. Great to know. Now talk to me about Drago because it seems as if that is a really high end bull of yalls. Not to discredit anything else but y', all, y', all, y' all were pretty savvy with this bull.
C
This bull, I mean he, he is or he was, he passed away. I mean he was quite a cool animal to look. Big old bone that he had big old back. I mean he, he was elegant to look at him.
B
I mean he, he was really something. I mean the, the picture of him is exactly the way he was. Such a, such an amazing looking animal. Really good top, really long spine, huge bone, huge foot. And we' with Diamond K is utilized him and they actually raised both of the females that, that did well this, this fall, this major season. And so we appreciate them and their business very much and how they utilize the bull as far as what to do with them. I think Diamond K kind of has it on lock with you know, kind of the cattle that they have, you know, really soft, made really soggy, really cool looking, kind of do the same kind of thing. Make sure that cow has enough, has enough lower belly and then he'll put the big legs and bigfoot and, and massive but still being really, really cool looking, really unique.
A
With that said, y' all offer some American club calf semen. Now out of the Donkey Kong. A sire that one that I am fond of just due to the fact that I love those type of bulls but, but I love his hair quality for one. Obviously he was a younger bull at that time, but at the same time I, I, I love his character. I'd like to know if he's got some genetic defects or not. So we know like what to pair him with or not. So that's why I ask.
B
He is only a DS carrier. He's th and ph free. He is out of our f donor. This guy was way good from the minute he came out. He was like a little miniature stud. I don't know. He Walked around with so much attitude and confidence. And you know, everybody that sees him, even, even in this, this fall, whenever he went out on his first cows and got a little skinny, they're like, you know, hey, man, what is that? Look at him walk around, you know, I mean, just so much arrogance about him. And I think the best thing about him minus, you know, beautiful hair, beautiful color, is his back leg. It's great. It's a great back leg. It's so bendy, it's so flexible. He reaches with so much ease. And we get these cows more and more and more souped up and sometimes the structure goes to the wayside. I think that he has the ability to bring that back. Breed him to a cow that's a little. He. He's a long, he's long bodied. Breed him to a cow that's a little shorter backed and stout. And I think that he's going to put a great look and in a lot of structural integrity, which is so important.
A
No, I completely agree. Mario, what's your thoughts? What kind of cow would you breed into?
C
I will breed this bull to a good a cow and heat, first of all. I will breed him to a shore modern cow with the a TH carrier. You. Yeah, I think you, you be good after that. I mean, that color, no matter what color cow you put on him, his mom is black, his dad is black. I mean, and he's red and he's red. So I mean, who knows what color you're getting into that deal. But.
A
Right, right.
C
I mean, I like this bull. I mean, we're. We use him as a yearling. He was out there breeding cows. I mean, no problem. But I don't know. I mean he, I don't know. He's.
A
He's special for sure. Sure. Well, obviously we've already talked about night moves 2.0 a couple times. Walk me through. I mean, obviously y' all said he makes awesome females. What kind of cows do y' all breed him to to make awesome females? Obviously he's a full sib to loaded red. That's been extremely predominant out at Brandon's
B
place with, with Night Moves. He puts a lot of. He puts a great structure, he puts beautiful, beautiful hair, really good, a really good look, a really small head and neck. The thing that we see in him is basically you just gotta make sure that your cow has enough character.
A
Okay, awesome. Good to know.
B
Don't breed him to a borderline American. I don't think it's gonna work out as far as getting an American. We Used him on the brangus and, and the simbro, you know, more leathery type cows. And that's where we found that it was work the best.
A
Awesome. Okay, Mario, you got any thoughts or ideas about the bull?
C
I mean he is one good looking bull.
B
He is good.
C
I mean you look at him out there no matter what time it is. I mean he does look good 24 7. I mean he is very good on feet and legs. I mean he's females and we didn't get really get many steers out of him this year. I think we had one. One that he'll be at the best, the best chest out of him. And then the rest of them, we got him on our sale. The majority of them and they are sound good hair. Majority on their block. He's a DS carrier. If you, I mean probably bring him to like a little like a. What I'm trying to say, a little more American cow, not too clean. And then you be, you be set up perfect.
A
Awesome.
B
Also good for first half heifers.
A
Oh, okay. Well, great to know. Great to know. With that said, you wrap up the sale with lot 40. Obviously y' all state you'll had 39. Want to round it up to make it an even number. 40. Why did y' all decide to pick the Samson semen?
B
Samson was the first great bull that we ever raised and he has a crazy special place in our heart. Yeah, we actually cremated him. He's at my mom's house in a box box with his nose ring. But he makes fantastic females. Some of our favorite stuff ever has been him paired up with our bell cow. We have so many of those daughters out in the pasture that do their job every year. The females that he makes, you just, you can't beat them. They're. They're big footed, they're big bellied. I personally really love a brangus. That kind of of their navel, it's hard to describe. It's like right at their front leg you get a little bit of leather and then it kind of transition into their navel and then it kind of carries back into their bag. That way they look deeper, you know, that's like my favorite thing in a brangus heifer. If they have that kind of navel and he's really good about that to where they always look deep, you know, I mean even if they're not, they still look deep. And he just makes, he makes phenomenal females. And we, you know, we lost him way before we wanted to. We don't have a ton of semen we actually decided a couple years ago that we weren't going to sell any semen again. But. But then. Then, you know, we wanted to round up to 40, and we were like, okay, we need something special. And what's more special than him? And so, you know, your best cow, you know, buy it, breed it to your best cow. Samson is. He's a good. He's a great bull. Bull. And his calves are still good, even though, you know, that was, gosh, almost 10 years ago. But the bull is the kind of bull that is good today, tomorrow, and in 15 years.
A
Absolutely awesome to hear. With that said, I'm always grateful to represent awesome American cattle. It's something I'm fond of. Nothing to take away from anyone else I've done a preview for. But I'm very. Also grateful to represent y' all there at Triple Crown Ranch both for the volume one and volume two sale. This sale happens on April 4th. You can find it on SC Online Sales. Is there anything else y' all want to leave the audience with?
B
Yeah. So what I wanted to do, if you're cool with it, is that anybody that listened to the podcast to the end, I was gonna give, like, a special code word. And if you buy a heifer, then you do get two free straws of semen.
A
Perfect. Let's do it.
B
Okay, so code word is Samson. Samson's the code word. And if you give it to us when you pick up your heifer, then we'll have some. We'll have a couple of different bulls to choose from, and we'll give you two. Two free straws to breeder with.
A
I love this. I'm digging this now. Okay, so I'm not gonna put this out for the public, but they do got to listen to the whole thing, and then maybe you'll start to pick up, but hopefully, y' all will end up regretting it for how much semen y' all got to give out at the end.
B
That's okay. That's okay. Bring it on.
A
Well, with that said, that wraps up the sale preview. I'm extremely excited. The sale is awesome. It's very, very deep. Once again, Mario, you are a dog for coming on and doing this with me. I'm extremely happy that you were able to. Very glad to represent y'.
