Well, ladies and gentlemen, we got another preview here and I've been fortunate enough to work with Mr. Chris Wilson on this and I'm extremely excited. You can find it on Steer Bidder. It happens on March 2nd. Extremely excited to talk about the females that are here to be offered to you as well as maybe some embryo lots as well. So I'm very excited to go over them all, Mr. Wilson, if you'd like to introduce yourself and talk about maybe what y' all do there at Wilson Farms and what Yalls objective is and then after that we can dive into the lots.
B
You bet. Weston. Well, I'll tell you Caden, my son and I, Caden Wilson, we, we have a, about a hundred head of show cows. Club club calf mom as you might say in recips that we produce, you know, show steers and heifers for the junior exhibitors. We also have a supply company that we sell products called 212 Livestock Products. And, and so we're, and we farm and, and here in southwest Iowa, but we, we kind of build everything around cow families, you know and, and I think that's what this sales kind of talks about, you know, when you go through the lots and stuff.
A
Well, there's not necessarily a better way you could start, I don't think with lot one. She's a. Mr. Walsh is on the brink over affliction on that Jesuit blue female. So talk to me about what you think of her. Obviously that's a really long necked, big rib, big hit female that's got a really nice set of running gear on her. Talk to me about her. Maybe a little bit of her story.
B
Absolutely. So this, this particular half her we were very fortunate to get the opportunity to sell. This is not one we raised, the rest of them we raised in the sale. But this, this, this can dates back to the JSOL blue donor cow for Sullivan's. One of their, one of their elite females, you might say back, you know, several years ago, you know, on the brink obviously show heifer of the year last year. You know, he's, he's cut his teeth pretty well into the industry within the show ring and whatnot. And, and this particular heifer offers a lot of power a it really good fronted. I, I think this heifer is going to make an extremely good donor cow prospect for anybody super good haired and, and one that you know, just demands your presence. You know, you're, you're just demands, you know, your, your commitment when you, when you watch her walk out. I mean she's, she's A very fancy type female. Always holds her head up, you know, at the right angles and you know, one I think I'll damn sure be a show heifer, but a donor cow in the end, you know.
A
Awesome. Well, the Mach 2's next and she's going to be a U proof over a logic Lucy female. Obviously she's a little older so she's probably got a little more frame size to her, a little more maturity to her. But I think that's a really big rib, big hit female that reads extremely symmetrical from profile. Where would you like to see her end up or what would you like some folks to focus on her about and maybe what does she correlate back to in terms of genetics? Obviously there's some stuff being written down. Your comments that she's tied to.
B
Oh yeah, the, the Lucy cow from Stacks. You know, logic. She's have a logic Lucy donor or logic Lucy daughter, I should say. First calf heifer. We use our you proof bull. He's one of our, one of the bulls we purchased here the last four or five years from Chance Will Will Cattle company and, and we've, we've used him on our, on our first calf heifers and just doesn't a tremendous job. There hasn't been one yet that we haven. Bonham I think bought a steer last year for 10,000. Well, first calf heifer and, and you'll see a couple of them in this lineup. This is a foundation female, foundation simmental female I think could show at a very high level ultrasound. Big rib, great lines, great angles, footed. You know, Lucy cow, I mean she won. She, she wrote her own chapter and in the show ring for the Stack family and, and I believe this heifer has a, the ability to do a lot, a lot of the good things, you know, that her grandam did. You know, this, this, this heifer, definitely one that needs to be watched very closely.
A
Well then Lot 3 is next and she's a full tilt over female called Chanel and obviously this one is extremely, extremely proportional in my mind. She's got an awesome hind leg on her. It moves really well. It's a high, high percentage main female that, that is extremely unique in my mind. Her grandam is obviously out of the top donor there at Shaffer Cattle company. Talk to me about your thoughts on her especially due to just her pedigree. It's very unique.
B
Oh yeah, absolutely. I mean, you know, Kent Jake, he was through here a couple years ago and we were talking about heifer bulls and he was, he was wanting Me to try the hot. The full tilt bull and and had great success with that bull. This is also our first calf heifer. Her mother, her mother's an ex Chanel. Chanel. Chanel was one that Doris sold in, in the the bread heifer sale that he has with Brad Smith. And you know, like you said, Schaefer. Schaefer's got her as one of their top donor females. And and I think this heifer has the potential to. To do all the right things in the show ring as well as, as well as go on and, and be a productive donor cow herself. Big ribbon really sound super straightener lines great out of her neck and shoulder junction. Big hip definitely one that we're excited about and been excited about since the day she was born. Had a lot of interest in her when she was a little calf and we were, we weren't in a position to think about pricing anything at that time, but we had people wanting to price for them when she was two weeks old. We've just kind of been thinking that we might kind of offer her for this sale just to kind of add some genetics to the, to the lineup.
A
Well then lot four is next. And I think arguably just looking through the sale, this is one of my personal favorites. And she's obviously out of the U proof bull that we have talked about prior to, but on a limitless broker Harriet. Harrietta cow. This thing in my mind is extremely cool, especially from the profile. But I love her hip and hind leg design and I love the way that you know, she ties in her flank line. Everything of that nature, really refined headed, especially about the way her neck and throat is. But talk to me about her. Maybe some of her genetic backing and just some history there.
B
Yeah, you hit it. You know, I mean you, you combine, you know, that kind of rib with that kind of hip and hind leg structure. When she walks away in the video, it's, it's phenomenal. I mean this heifer's, this heifer's got donor cow written all over her. I mean she's, she's. She is you know, big haired, big bodied, big hip. All the, all, all the features are big. You know, I mean on this heifer and, and she ties back to that broker Harriet account. You know, we got these he from the Finning family in Ohio.
A
Excuse me.
B
And you know they, they do a lot of flushing with the Hara family and, and we were lucky enough to. To get her her. Damn her. She's also a first calf heifer and you know, what a way to Start a. A career off for a cow to. To have a heifer like this to offer her first. Her first calf out of the gate. That's why I think you proof, you know, he'd be in a style of a. A Whiskey Dixie crawls. You know, his. His granddam would have raised the champion steer at the Fort Worth stock show a couple years ago for crawls. And, you know, I think the pedigree on that bull's gonna. It's obviously following through to the calves, and you can see it in. In this sale.
A
Well, then lot five's next, and she's gonna be a paradox over female. That's an encore style Dixie Erica. Obviously, in my mind, I think this one is extremely unique in terms of, you know, how dense and burly she is. I think it's a really big rib cage. I think it's a really big hit. But she reads to be extremely wide and still incredible on in motion. But what is intriguing the most to me is how, you know, she's tied to the encore female that just sold for 127,000 out of the Shaffer sale and obviously tied some to some more things. But talk to me about her and what you think and maybe some history behind it.
B
Absolutely. You know, we got this heifer from Finning's as well. Her. Her dam, I should say. And you know, she. She is just a superstar female. This is her first calf as well. I mean, these are all our first calf heifers. And that's what it's truly exciting about this lineup, how deep our. Our cow power is going to run going forward. This heifer just balances up so well. I mean, just beautiful angles, beautiful rib. Just love her out of her front end. I mean, we've. We've had some. We've had a lot of people looking at her and, you know, all of which have said she could compete at a very, very high level. You know, I. We let a family show her mother last year, and she was very successful in her show career. And then we got her back and yeah, this one out and you know, it. That Dixie Erica cow, you know, she's one of her. Mark Harra's the top donor cows and, you know, her being a, you know, style Dixie Eric and everything, I think with Encore in there and paradox, he just. You're just stacking pedigree all the way back through there. And I think that's. That's why she's as good as she is as being out of first calf effort and all these. All these mothers These heifers, they've all milked extremely good, as you can tell. And they're gonna. They're gonna follow through to their kids, I believe.
A
Absolutely. Well, nothing to discredit away from the heifers, but I sure am excited to talk about 6 and 7. Not only because I saw the calf in person, that these embryos are full sibs too, but just the fact of that thing was so unique and I think that's why he had to win the shorthorns. But talk to me about the mating for 6 and 7. Obviously these would be full sibs to your champion steer. I mean champion shorthorn steer. At the 2026 Fort Worth Steer show shown by Ace James. An incredible steer, incredible family. I can't wait to obviously see what they do down the road. But this is an awesome mating. The calf was extremely unique. How has that worked for y' all so far? Have y' all had any more hit the ground out of the mating?
B
Absolutely. We've got six on the ground this year. We've flushed her several. Well, we bred her dinga. We got a really super good dingodaughter out of her and. And got a bunch of next man ups on the ground. And you know, Nolan Ferguson bought that calf from us and. And feel like we've got some calves that'll be sold this fall. Little sibs to him that we're going to be pretty excited about. I. It's my son's idea to flush her the next man up. I'm glad he it that that mating really worked, that that cow's a young money go dates back to the eye candy bowl and. And it just clicked and we're really excited about. I thought we'd offer it since, you know, just Fort Worth just kind.
A
Of. Next will be lots 8 and 9 and those are going to be both embryos that are, you know, quantitative. 3 and obviously these are gonna be spread the words over a female that's an unstoppable over made to order. This market heifer that's listed in the picture is extremely unique. I absolutely love her build and design. But talk to me about what that mating has done for y', all, how significant it's been there in Iowa. Well then the next four lots are going to be the last ones. They're going to be out of the bull that we've already brought up, which is you proof. Talk to me about how he's bred, how y' all picked him up, the story on the bull and what he's done there for y'. All in Iowa. Awesome. That's incredible. Well, for anybody that is interested in the sale, I hope that this answers any questions. And I'm glad that Mr. Wilson was able to come on here and describe the cattle and talk about their story. I'm very grateful. Fact that I get to represent y' all and very excited for the future as well. So with that said, Mr. Wilson, is there anything you'd like to tack on in the conclusion of the preview? Absolutely. For sure. Well, with that said, grateful for your time, grateful that we're able to represent you. I can't wait for the future, like you said. And with all this said empowerments, here is what it's all about. Thank you for everybody for tuning in. We'll see y' all next time.
