I almost had a give and go. And I think it was Shay that misplayed that or jumped over stick or whatever. But then it was like. I remember hitting you being like, oh. All of a sudden, two on one out of nowhere.

we get into the barn and I place a bet on. Bet MGM. No, no goal in the first 10 minutes. And I literally turned to Chris and I go, I put 50 bucks on no goal in the first 10.

I. I literally say that. And then I turn to the ice and Ehlers is on a two on one. It shoots and scores. And I start jumping around going, I called it. But it was right after I was like, I just said, no goal in the first 10 minutes. There's 30 seconds.

I was literally like, you didn't call it at all. And then I see what you. I see what you meant. Yeah.

You're like, oh, got it. But listen, the game started about as electric as you possibly could have asked.

They. Everybody told us the tailgate would be good. It was incredible. Everybody told us it would be loud in there. Hey, Bang ers goal. The roof came off. It was unbelievable.

Yeah, I think so. And, and man, this little kid was sitting on the cooler. He was ripped, looked like Bruce Boudreau eating wings, sauce all over his face. And Michael walks up and he's like, hey, get up. Opens up that cooler. There's fresh dough, fresh moths. Perfect pizza dough ready to go. Fresh moths. There was like slices of motto and then shaved Motto.

He had homemade sauce that he had made the night before. He was ladling it on. He looked like, he looked like a pro.

The, the, the kneading, the kneading was remarkable at that moment. I was like, oh shit.

He started kneading and tossing the dough and I was looking at him and I went, are you fucking kidding me now? This is unbelievable. We got to start a shop here. It was, it was just great, great stuff all around. We had the Knievels. Yeah, we're going to, we're going to see them on Thursday. They had a, they had a gigantic, like Coors Light Stanley cup erected.

I got to get eyes on that. The boy saw that today.

I will say what we didn't do properly was. I, I. And this was mostly on me. I was like trying to keep it, stay light on my feet before the show. Yeah, I, I gotta, I gotta get barbecue from someone on Thursday.

Because we also went like this to all the Canes fans we were seeing on that walk in the intermission. Everybody was. Okay. Yeah. So. So some big picture stuff for me. When Ghost scored, I almost brought this up in our, in our finals preview app. But it was a little. Honestly, it was an entire article and it was a little in weeds where I was like, I can't even get into this. I was just looking at the, the spark notes. But they did a big goalie breakdown and obviously teams are watching tape. And I remember this in the Bruins Hawk series when they were like, Crawford is a bad glove and all the bees were shooting here. And Crawford even gave an interview where he was like, I know they're shooting at the glove, like it's whatever. So there was a huge thing that was like, Carter Hart gives up. And every extreme majority of the goals he gives up are blocker. So shoot there. And I heard someone say in the broadcast that it was like, oh, they're going blocker a lot this period. Like, the Canes have made an effort to do it. And that go shot was right here. And Carter Hart there was obviously the puck pender ricochet. And that's a good chance he's on the dunk, I think by the time he lets that one go. So an NHL player can score from there. And you're never really mad at your goalie. But I will say there wasn't a ton of a screen. Hart got the full push squared up, came out on the angle and just got beat there. And I remember thinking in that moment, I was like, oh, dude. Because again we said, oh, which one of these goalies going to give up four goals? And now they both have. And Carter Heart's thinking, fuck, there's my blocker again, where I'm getting castal snipped him there too. So in that moment, I was like, jesus, dude, this, this could get crazy. Yeah, Freddie. I forget what they said in that article, but I don't think I'm trying to go through all of them in my head. Someone at the top of the chat said here, playoff ready has entered the chat. There were breakaways, there were people falling down. It was, it was of high emotions. Game one, Stanley cup final. Everyone is horned up. All the blood's rushing to your and you can barely pay attention.

As you pointed out, they trailed more than any team in the league except Vancouver. That is ridiculous. They are really good in third periods. Really good in third periods. And you come to this game, there's six goals scored in the game. You go into a third period and you go win the third.

Win the third period. And what do they do when the third period, this team? It was just very, very happy to go get your lead. Don't care. We're going to fight back. We're going to find a way. They did it. Now the other side of that is. Other than that, that being the strongest narrative of this game for me, I don't think Carolina should be that worried about this one. I really don't. You did not want to lose. You certainly don't want to lose game one at home.

But if it's a split after the first two games, and both games are 5, 4. Vegas is going to win the series because. Okay, that's what I said to a ton of people before the game. Just because if you're Carolina, you're going, oh, we're playing their style and not ours. And after the first period of this game, I was like, oh, Carolina is going.
