A Feast is an opportunity to share a themed meal with our fellow cultists, creating a bond that reverberates throughout the Hunt. This Omen gives us the occasion to sit down to a meal and challenge our Hunt siblings and cultivate our joyful rivalry. These challenges should be achievable and constructive, aimed at helping us become better fighters, community members, and people. This gives us goals to work towards and checkpoints to measure our progress. The Viper Prophet explains the significance of this Omen with the invitation to join in. Water can take many forms. It can adapt to any situation. But the strength of water comes when it is united in force. The Trial of Water tests the Acolytes ability to fight in a confined space against a superior number of foes. One must coordinate with their partner to move as one. To pass this Trial, one must be fleet as the surging stream, with the force of a magnificent tsunami, with all the strength of rushing whitewater, as focused as a current driven by the moon. Sage Tethian joins the Viper Prophet to share his experience with the Trial of Water. There are many ways to serve the Dread Gods. Those who wade into battle with strength and skill are the most noticed on the field. They are able to win glory as they are likewise a spectacle. But there are other ways to serve. The Dread Gods crave sacrifice, and they care not how it is achieved. This is well known by those who use stealth and cunning to achieve victory. They are masters at both creating and exploiting opportunities. A blade in the dark is just as effective as any other method of slaying one’s foes. The skill set required for this Merit is quite different then the others, and thus must involve its own rigorous study. Apostle Turkeyfeathers knows well the techniques of the Sneak, and he joins the Viper Prophet to share his wisdom on this hidden virtue. There are many roles upon the field of battle. Many involve the strength of arm or skill with a weapon. But there is one role that doesn’t rely on force, but rather on cunning. It is a particular ability to take in the entirety of combat and know the best way to achieve victory. This task falls to the leaders who rise from the ranks of the Order of Aspen. Disciple Thumbs joins the Viper Prophet to discuss the challenges and training that go into being a commander on the field, as is his role as of a Sage of Aspen. The path to becoming a Primal is a grueling one. It requires pain and sacrifice, endurance and perseverance, and a singleminded desire to earn the favor of the Dread Gods. This honored position is won through the acquisition of Merits, mastery of the Trials, and diligence within the Sacred Orders. They are few in number as the task of becoming Primal is one that involves skill and focus beyond the ken of your average fighter. In this teaching, Primal FLNT shares with us the lessons learned along the way. As Xeric commands, we focus on our quest for glory and victory. The Observation of Desperate Frost is an invitation to meditate on our previous season, where we have succeeded and where we have fallen short in our goals. To achieve our aims, we must first understand who we are and what we are capable of. This Omen invites us to look back upon our place in the fighting community. What have been some of your greatest moments? What about the less than great? How have me measured up to our expectations in the past, and how have our choices shaped who we are? There are many ways of achieving a position of Khojas within the Hunt. Some are entirely accomplishment based, others are by a vote of confidence from the local cult. The Huntsmaster alone can claim that the Lord of the Hunt personally charged them with their sacred calling. There are few Huntsmasters, but all can be called equally worthy. They differ from other Khojas in several ways. They are tasked to be the record keepers for their realm and events they attend, assisting the Chief Scribe in this summons. They are the first among equals when it comes to the local Khojas, reporting directly to the Lord of the Hunt. Finally, they are asked to use their creative talents to keep their cultists engaged and challenged. Apostle Turkeyfeathers joins the Viper Prophet to share his wisdom about this singular Khojas position. While the Dread Gods relish a close quarters kill, they may also place their blessings on those who slay from afar. Such skill is rare indeed, as it requires patience and cunning, focus and discipline. Many are those who have picked up the bow, few have truly mastered it. But the bow is not the only weapon used by a sniper. Javelins, lethal from mid range, are also under the purview of the sniper. Rocks too, for those who crave that close quarters combat and wish to catch their enemies by surprise. Regardless of the tool, a skilled sniper can earn the attention of the Gods when their expertise yields bloody fruits. Apostle Turkeyfeathers, a renowned sniper himself, joins the Viper Prophet to share his wisdom concerning the art of the sniper. Before there can be fire, there must be a spark. Within the Hunt, that spark is known as Harbinger. These are those faithful souls dedicated to spreading the Word of the Dread Gods to those whose blades are hungry for more. Appointed by the Lord of the Hunt or the Chief Scribe, these individuals are tasked with finding warriors with blood on their minds and bringing them into the embrace of the Hunt. Through them, the Hunt has spread far and wide, and by their efforts more and more Hunters are added to the followers of the Dread Gods. Disciple RedCrow, Harbinger of Frostwall, joins the Viper Prophet to share his wisdom on this crucial Khojas position. The Hunt is full of cultists who revere those dynamic and brutal aspects of the Dread Gods, but there is wisdom to be found in the presence of the most subtle of them. For those who prefer the cloak of darkness and who prefer to slay unseen, Silence is ever present. Silence provides a unique environment for the faithful, one that is outside the confinements of location. The omnipresence of Silence grants these cunning cultists a wide array of options to send souls screaming to their god. Within Silence we find comfort and terror, security and the illusion thereof. Apostle Turkeyfeathers joins the Viper Prophet to share his wisdom concerning the most elusive of the Dread Gods.
