Third time you still had to cruise the volume on. Hi, welcome to Everything Gun Episode 78. I'm David. On the other mic is Jody. So what we got going on in
B
this episode, we're going to start off with some news like always. And then we got some gun and gear. So we got three different things we're going to talk about. Chronograph, my new Tier 1 Hoster. And then I got a Glock Gen 6 that I've bought for a customer I've still got in my hands that we can go through. Then we'll do a couple of use of force cases. One out of Tennessee. That's interesting. They're both interesting. And then what, what Vermont looking a
A
little bit of Vermont gun laws. And then talk about a little bit about a couple rangers that we did this weekend.
B
That's what we got. So we'll jump on to the news. This first is we've got the NSSF
A
as we're doing this.
B
In your camper. Yeah, I like my camper. It's pretty cool. Took it out for the first time last weekend.
A
Last weekend cushion in this thing.
B
My dog died when I got back. Not from the trip, but a few days later. Very, very upsetting. Yeah, it was awful. So we got. The NSSF is backing a. A lawsuit challenging Virginia's assault weapon and mag limit ban. So it's the black versus Hook. Also there's a lot of people suing. Oh yeah.
A
Is it?
B
Yeah, yeah. They're seeking an emergency injunction prior to the July 1st effective dates. So Spamberger signed all those laws and into effect. They go into effect July 1st.
A
Yeah, we talked about in the last episode.
B
I can't remember any of them go directly into effect.
A
There's a few. We talked about it.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. Some went directly in and then some July 1st.
B
So this isn't this. This is a little thing out of Florida that I saw this past weekend where a HOA is. It sent out a letter to their members banning guns in all public areas of their. Of their little community. So public parks, I mean just everywhere. Whether it's concealed or open carry. Regardless that Florida is a constitutional carry now and you can open carry in Florida.
A
That's preemption law.
B
Preemption laws. The HOA seen deemed it is their job to step on everybody's second amendment. So the Florida AG has sent a letter warning the point Port Saint Lucci is L U C I E their HOA over their gun band. Lucy. Lucy. Could be. You don't think it's Lucci No, I'm pretty sure St. Lucy should put a Y there. It's stupid.
A
Yeah, apparently they are.
B
So they've got. They've given the HOA until June 1st to back down or face impossible legal action. Why say possible? How about just say you're going to face legal. I don't know why I give them
A
any dumb at all. Yeah. Yeah.
B
So you can't do this. You're done. Doesn't matter if you rescinded or not.
A
Yeah.
B
Can't do it.
A
Yeah. And if you continue, we're going to. In court.
B
Yeah, I agree. Yeah. I don't know why, why the AGA even has to say anything to them. Just say, hey, you can't enforce this. Members can sue you for this if you try to enforce it. And who's going to enforce it?
A
I don't know.
B
Are they going to call the police? Say, hey, we got a, we got a rule in our HOA that you can't carry guns? Well, it's not a.
A
Law enforcement would come out there and try to enforce that rule.
B
Oh, I'm sure some of those. Oh, I'm sure it would be. And HOA would try to find you for it, I guess.
A
Second Amendment or the First Amendment audit stuff I watch all the time. I gotta quit watching those.
B
Yeah.
A
Make sure in the crowd would try to force it. Yeah.
B
I mean, this is basically. It's not allowed under several statutes. 790.33 or preemption statues. There's other statues it's not allowed under.
A
But then you give some people any kind of authority.
B
Yeah.
A
Or some perceived authority and they want to abuse it.
B
Yep.
A
Going to do what I tell you. And I'm, I'm president of hoa. You going to do what I want?
B
Yeah.
A
We're going to find you.
B
If you don't.
A
If you don't, we're going to find you. We may, we may put a lien on your house. That's what we do.
B
Can they do that?
A
Yeah.
B
That's stupid.
A
If you don't pay their fees.
B
Oh, whatever. Hey, I'll never live in a, in a.
A
In my new neighborhood we have an hoa. And I look at the budget on that.
B
Oh, that's ridiculous.
A
Oh, the amount of money they got for to mow just a couple little areas is absolutely ridiculous.
B
That's irritating.
A
Frustrating.
B
All right, so this next story is out of. Close by to us out of Huntsville, Alabama, a little north of where we live. So this was a. That's where we work. Yeah. That's where I Work. So this is a case where a man ended up shooting and killing one man, but he also injured a bystander and then it's a bystander. So this happened about 2am on a Sunday. And it's never good to be out that late, I swear. But you had officers arrived where a man was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in a parking lot. So two guys get in an argument, one guy pulls a gun. The second guy was able to draw his weapon, fire it in self defense, and it was deemed self defense. But also in the, in this event, some of the shots that he fired missed his target and hit a bystander that was sitting in a car. Don't believe it killed that person, but it did injure that person. So he's now been charged with that. With a voluntary manslaughter case.
A
You work service and it's a big deal.
B
I guess there's manslaughter did kill that person, didn't it? Maybe it's voluntary. So hold on, let me just see what the. Pretty sure he was charged with voluntary manslaughter, which to me means that the guy must have died. But either way, so. So he's using, he's using gun and self defense. Yeah, that's why I just said. And.
A
Continue on.
B
All right, so he's charged with hitting a bystander. Well, we always talk about you're responsible for all your, all your bullets and where they go and what the hits. You got to be careful about that because you could be charged. And he has been. My question is, with the recent Secret Service shooting outside the White House grounds that also hit a innocent bystander, are we going to use the same legal mechanism on them and charge them with that?
A
We are not. So why. It will never be reported how that. Who, who fired that round?
B
No, they're still not saying.
A
We don't know.
B
Yeah, they're still saying there was, there
A
was, there was bullets flying everywhere. We don't know who, who did that. I'm not
B
degrading them what they did. Good job on stopping a threat. Great job on, on their part. But if we're held to a certain standard, they should be as well. If we're responsible for every round that we shoot, they should be as well.
A
Yeah, there shouldn't have been an incident. Bystanders.
B
If we're going to get charged with hitting an innocent bystander when we're trying to protect ourselves now, it may come
A
out that it was the perpetrator that did it. I'll be surprised on that well, so if it was trusted.
B
If it does, we got to be
A
more careful if it's on, on the law enforcement side.
B
I'm just saying the, the legal system should be equal for us and other authorities. We're going to get charged with something for, for that than they should too.
A
So we all need to be more careful where our.
B
Absolutely.
A
Our bullets are going. I know what your target is.
B
Hey, I'm not saying the guy shouldn't be charged with it. We should be responsible for our.
A
Where if somebody and I got shot somebody ought to be.
B
Yeah.
A
In charge of something. You can just start shooting around and yeah.
B
We shouldn't just be able to say well I was defending myself so I can't help that the innocent person got hit. No, you should be charged for it. I agree 100 they should. He should be char. But I just think it should be equal for everybody.
A
There shouldn't be different rides for different people.
B
Yeah. That's what I'm trying to get at.
A
But yeah, but we need to be, need to be responsible.
B
So we got Lauren Boebert representative. Spell their last names Right. Anyway, she's introduced the Freedom from Taxes act which would zero out the remaining NFA tax burdens including. Which I found interesting, including the special occupational tax, the SOT for FFLs. And that allows FFLs to sell NFA items. Yeah, suppressors, short bear rifles, shortbread shotguns and things like that. And it costs. For an importer it's a thousand dollars per year. For a, for a FFL like me that just sells items it would be. It's priced at 500 a year. For dealers that's expensive. If you, if you're just a home based ffl trying to, trying to work
A
on things like that come back to me when our Congress actually does something about it.
B
No, I'm not saying anything's gonna be done. I'm just saying it's interesting that they at least introduced it. Hopefully it will go further. I don't think it will. People don't know what SOT means and special occupational tax stuff and zero hours.
A
Congress definitely don't.
B
If it's a zero tax, just get rid of the nfa. You know, how about introduce that bill. Get rid of the nfa. Get rid of the SOT stuff. Man.
A
You know what'd be so good? If we had like the majority and the House and the Senate and had the presidency. Then we could do some of this stuff.
B
Yeah.
A
We just had a majority.
B
Yeah. And then if they were the greatest Pro2A administration ever yeah, just if we had that, we just.
A
We could knock some of this stuff out.
B
Yeah, yeah, we've got it. We're still not doing it. We're still going after people. We've got cases where they're going after YouTubers for. We're putting out YouTube videos, videos explaining how explosives are made. So now they're getting charged with crimes that they didn't do any crime with. Yeah. And our DOJ or ATF are going after him.
A
I know. Great.
B
Pro 2A. They're still going after Damian. Nate. Nate Adamiak. He's still in jail and getting re sentenced in this.
A
Hey, good, good job with the host of Baron Arms on.
B
Oh my.
A
Confronting ATF on that.
B
But two times.
A
Oh, sarcastic. If you don't know.
B
Yeah.
A
Our.
B
Our lady. Which has done a decent job. What's her name?
A
But I don't know. But when you, when you get guests, don't just placate to him, question them.
B
Yeah.
A
Don't be afraid to hurt their feelings.
B
He had the new ATF director on there and he did bring up the Adamia, but then he didn't say anything about it.
A
No, we're not going to get into that.
B
He just let. He just let the ATF director crap. Really talk about how good of a job the ATF has done and that he's not going to say anything about this case because it's still ongoing. But he thinks the ATF did a good job here on what they charge him with. Which is ridiculous.
A
Didn't fight back at all.
B
No, it was no podcast where he
A
talked about, hey, this is not right. Yeah, let it go.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
That interview with ATF Gowers. Useless.
B
Yeah. I don't know what that was. It was. Yeah, it was. No, they're just talking about how they're prosecuting cases is all he talked about.
A
It was not good.
B
What I was mentioning the Patrick Tate Damiek case and this is guy that got charged for not having automatic weapons but making a part.
A
Right.
B
That could potentially be used and when it couldn't, they couldn't make it work. And he also got charged with having a explosive device that didn't work. Oh, yeah, but they made rpg.
A
Yeah, it's not operational.
B
Yeah, but they made it. Somehow did something to it.
A
Finally made a lot to get it to do anything. It's ridiculous.
B
And the ATF director was defending those charges. The Supreme Court denied the case. Resentencing looms now on him. I don't know why the Pro2A government can't just pardon him like, you know, he's asked for. But hey, whatever.
A
I do need Spanish on your windows in here to be able to get out.
B
Yeah.
A
Emergency exit. Salita.
B
Is that what you're looking at? Listening? Yeah. The next thing we got, the Crime Prevention Research Center. That's the John Lott website. He come out talking about the defensive uses. Firearms are 5.06 times more likely than firearms used in crimes. Well, he's pretty specific. 5.06.
A
You hear that?
B
Yeah.
A
Microphone a little bit.
B
So interesting. We've always talked about that. The next thing I've got. Let's see. All right, what does this say? What is this about? Oh, you got a man arrested because his background.
A
Oh, this is.
B
I can't remember where this was at. So you get a guy went to buy a gun. Did his background check through the Knicks
A
check
B
come back denied? It was denied because it hadn't. The next background stuff hadn't been updated to where it showed that his felony had been downgraded to a misdemeanor. So the courts had downgraded his felony case down to a misdemeanor. So. But the. Nick's background check didn't have that updated information, so it flagged it as a denial due to being up having a felony on his record. That got sent. The ATF or the FBI sends that to the local law enforcement, because anytime they get a denial based off of something like that, they'll send it to the local jurisdiction, so they're aware of it, that, hey, this person is a felony. Has a felony on his record, and he tried to buy a firearm, so that's a crime. Well, of course, the government police go and arrest this guy, and he's telling the whole time, no, this got downgraded. You can look it up. It's been downgraded to a misdemeanor. He spent 14 days in jail.
A
Nobody could look that up before he went to jail. Nobody could look that up before they went and arrested. They couldn't look it up now.
B
They could have done some due diligence on their own instead of just taking the word for it from the Knicks check. Hey, this was a felony. And. But they didn't. So he sent 14 days in jail. He is now suing the sheriff's office and the individual police officers that arrested him. So I'm hoping he gets something out of that, because he won't get anything they.
A
They need to do away with. Oh, crap.
B
What's that word?
A
Immunity.
B
Yeah, yeah. You got Vermont, which we're talking about. Today we are so did pass bill House Bill H 606, which bans someone from owning a firearm if they are under a current order to receive outpatient treatment from Vermont Department of Mental Health.
A
Really?
B
Yeah. You got that on your.
A
I'm sure. I'm sure it's in my notes somewhere.
B
I don't know if it's gone through that whole.
A
Oh, it's not through yet. I probably don't have that.
B
Yeah. Even if you're getting outpatient. Didn't say what outpatient treatments for could. You know, could be anything. If it's not violent. I don't know why we're banning someone from owning your firearm. I guess you just lose your rights
A
because people want to abuse their power.
B
Yeah.
A
So that's why.
B
Yeah. So that's what I had for the people suck. Yeah. That's what I have for the news today. You get anything else for news.
A
Yeah.
B
Now mentioned the SOT and the FFL stuff. We got one of our listeners, Dustin, out of, I think out of North Carolina looking at opening him and his brothers, building them a shooting range and getting. Getting an ffl. So that's pretty cool. So good luck with that. Not that difficult to go through the process. Just time consuming and cost a little bit of money.
A
Send out those gift. Gift boxes yet.
B
Wife is now recovered enough that she can start working on those. So hopefully in the next week or so I'll get those gift boxes. She does that hip replace surgery. What do you expect her to do?
A
Well, I mean, she can sit there and work on it.
B
Oh, okay.
A
You bring the stuff to her, get it boxed up and go.
B
You mentioned that to her before you leave today.
A
We need to get those things done.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
You promis. You promis something.
B
We're kidding them. So all of our listeners that had sent in our. Our reviews, you will get the gift box. My wife is recovering. It's just been a month. Hey.
A
Just expect that to be a Christmas present, apparently.
B
Merry Christmas.
A
Merry Christmas. Here's a gift box. Everything gone.
B
It's gonna be before for Christmas. We get. I got everything we need for it. I think. So we just got to get it all. All put together. You got to get the shirts made, the little tumblers made and stuff like that with there's other kinds of stuff that got to put the logo and stuff.
A
Jingle Bells will be playing on you right now.
B
Whatever. You're an idiot. All right, let's move on to some gear stuff. This segment brought to you by Clear Creek Shooting for all your firearm needs check out clear creekshooting33.com if you can't find anything on there that you like, shoot me a email or text and I can get you a price on something. Just keep in mind if you do order something off either my website or have me find you a price. I also need contact information for the FFL that you want it sent to because it has to be sent to an FFL for you to do your background check and all the paperwork for that. Doing your 4473. So with that, let's talk a little bit about this new tier one holster I got in. So I've got the tier one M. It's the tier one minimalist. It's a low prow, low profile carry. It only has. It has a single clip. This has some adjustable retention. I was a little bit worried about the single clip part of it, but it's. It's done well so far. I really, I really like it. So did some concealed carry with it this past weekend. I'm gonna do a lot more concealed K work over the next several months at the range. So the holster, I mean, I bought it for the. My echelon looks nice. The single clip. It does. Cant a little bit to the right since I'm a left handed shooter with the single clip. Because the single. The clip is on the left side of the holster. When you put the sweat guard. Is that what. That's not a sweat guard. The.
A
No, it's not.
B
The sway guard is here. What do you. What would you call this little part that pushes? Pushing. Yeah, it makes it better. Concealable.
A
Yeah.
B
They've really done some improvement on these guns on these holsters. They're really nice.
A
The wing.
B
Yeah, it's nice. I don't know if that's proper.
A
Yeah, it is.
B
The hoser. Hoser.
A
Fits well.
B
Conceals very well. I'm back to carrying it with my extended mag on my echelon. Retention's good on it. Did some draws with it on this weekend.
A
Just flagged yourself with it. No, no, you flagged your side. Oh, whatever.
B
You're an idiot.
A
Pointed right at your side.
B
No, I did not.
A
You did. I thought now you pointed at me. My gosh. Goodness.
B
Maybe hit my microphone.
A
Get a little better with that man
B
there.
A
All right.
B
I like the hoster. Tier one makes good hosters.
A
I think I got three tier one hosters now.
B
Yeah, I got a couple. I'm gonna pull my one back out for my cannon because I think my, my, my larger cannon. So even work with It. So even though I want to, Even when I want to shoot my larger cannock at the range, I'm gonna do it from concealment. So really gonna start on some concealment work. Been watching a lot of those tier one videos, and those guys do a good job.
A
Yeah, they're good shooters. Good videos.
B
So we're gonna do some. Some of their drills and see. See how our times compared to some of their times.
A
Slower.
B
Yeah, Slower and less accurate.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah, those guys are good.
A
Yeah.
B
Even though they say they're not good shooters, they're good. The next thing I had was email we got sent to us from Mr. Dave out of Australia. I always appreciate his emails. I forwarded that to you too. So you gotta look at it. So this is he. He was. Where is that at? Doggone it. Hold on, man. I'm find it. Oh, I'm pulling.
A
Why is it not piling up?
B
Oh, so he. He bought a new or not a boot. I don't know if it's new, but he's got the Athlon. Athlon Range Craft radar chronograph. So I think it's priced it. Let's say I wrote the price down right around 400. So if you're looking for a chronograph, you know, go to Amazon, you get it right at 400. Pretty neat little. Little device if you're. If you're needing something like that. Oh, I thought I had it pulled up. It's not on here, and that ain't good. That ain't good. Hold on a minute. That ain't good. Oh, goodness. Talk while I try to find.
A
What are you trying to find?
B
I'm the Chronic Chronograph actual.
A
Oh, I don't know. No, I got that.
B
Oh, I had it here.
A
Oh, you want me to talk about.
B
Talk about the chronograph.
A
I didn't look anything up on it.
B
What did I say the name of this thing was? Athlon Rangecraft. Hold on, man. I've got it. He's got some information on two police.
A
He said in his email. He says using a free ballistic app from the app store, I very quickly use the muzzle speed from the Athlon and bullet data off the box to calculate what was needed to adjust the scope from 100 to 500 meters. Four shots later, I was hitting it 18 by 24, steel plate at 500 meters. So he used. Was using that to get his grain total and get his bullets and everything lined in.
B
Yeah. If you're doing any kind of precision shooting or any Long distance shooting and you're doing your own loads. The chronograph is very important to have. I don't have one. I should have had one when I was loading some 9 millimeter because I loaded some hot that one time.
A
Yeah. I wasn't shooting your stuff that you loaded.
B
I mean, I. I blew the mag out of the bottom of one gun. Too hot.
A
Yeah. I'm not shooting any.
B
Yeah, I gotta get. I hadn't done that a long time. So it's Doppler radar precision. Incredibly accurate data without touching your barrel. The velocity measures speeds from 65 to 5,000ft per second. So he was talking about. You could measure somebody throwing a baseball if you wanted to. And then you could still do ammo up to. Yeah, yeah.
A
Hey, I'd like to. Wouldn't mind doing that. 85 miles an hour.
B
Throw my shoulder out. Trying to throw a baseball 50 miles. I throw my shoulder out. That'd be awful. Like that Wings episode. Got hit the head and the other guy. It was hard to show. Yeah, Yeah.
A
I got. I got 10 screws in my shoulder.
B
I'll probably. Seamless. It says seamless. App integration built for the field. Compact, rugged. It does look nice. Comes a little tripod. Intuitive, versatile operation. 3.99 on Amazon. So it looks nice. It definitely looks like it's. It will hold up. And according to Dave is. Yeah.
A
Good review from him.
B
Yeah. We need to put that in the show notes. Put Dave's review in the show notes on that. That's what you should do.
A
I don't ever do show notes. I don't know if you realize this. I don't put anything in show notes. I'll do it like a little quick description.
B
I'll put this in the show notes.
A
We don't have a spot for show notes.
B
Just add it in the description.
A
That's a lot of work.
B
Not that much. You copy and paste it. I don't know why it's so much work.
A
It's a lot of work.
B
At least put the link in for it from Amazon. Can you do that? Can you at least do that?
A
Yeah, I can do that.
B
Thanks, Dave, for sending this. I'll try to remember good information.
A
I'm busy.
B
Last thing I've got is I've got a customer that just ordered a Glock Gen 6. Glock 19. Gen 6. So that came in.
A
I told you when those came out, they were nice. But you said no.
B
I didn't say no.
A
You said they're the same old thing.
B
I did not. I say the Triggers are better but it's still not.
A
They didn't even know. I'll go back to the episode where you said oh it's no different. There's nothing changed in them.
B
Yeah, the gun doesn't look bad. It's got some nice good serration serrations on the. On the front and the back. Good grip. Texture not quite as pronounced as my echelon. Echelon just. It's just the serrations on my echelon just so nice. Let me get.
A
They're better than what's on my cannon. They have better. Better threshing than what's on my.
B
Can get the bullet out of there. Yeah. So if you look at the. Yeah, better than what's on the cannon. Not much better but just a little bit the, the gun actually a little bit deeper.
A
Yeah.
B
Gun actually feels pretty good.
A
Yeah the sides suck comes. I mean I don't think the trigger is horrible, it's a little smushy but overall I think it's a pretty, pretty nice gun.
B
Yeah, I think the guy's going to put some night sights on it but it comes with a little square back knot and just some normal.
A
Yeah, you can put a red dot if you wanted to.
B
Yeah, it's optic ready.
A
Not a bad gun.
B
It comes with three mags frosted. Not. Not too bad price.
A
What's the. How many little mag on that one?
B
This one is 15 on this one. Okay. Yeah that's the flush.
A
It's got an extended. Any extended no.
B
And three 15 round mags.
A
Oh, not bad.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah I like the fact that it came with three mags.
B
Oh I did too.
A
Yeah it's nice.
B
Yeah. Some extra back straps.
A
Yeah. And yeah I like the grip on it. It's got a like a little gas pedal for your thumb there to kind of.
B
Yeah. Either way you're shooting left handed or right handed.
A
Yeah. You get a good high grip on it's got a good little spot for that.
B
A little bit of a mag. Well a little bit of a Magwell on it.
A
Yeah.
B
So it doesn't mean.
A
I think it looks nice. Yeah it looks better than your standard, you know, your gen 5s.
B
Yeah, it actually feels pretty good too. So yeah, I was impressed with it.
A
Yeah, I think it's a decent looking.
B
Took a little while for me to get it. I've had that on my wish list and it's been allocated for several weeks and it finally came out.
A
My.
B
One of my salesmen from my wholesalers called me the other day.
A
So it's about the Same size as your, as your ashon.
B
Yeah, yeah. If you look at them, they're pretty, pretty well spot on. Same size, pretty close to it.
A
So definitely concealable.
B
Yeah. You know my ash line, I've got, I've got a couple.
A
I really like the grip texture on it.
B
Yeah, it's definitely got a.
A
It's got a good, good steps stippling.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's. It's. Yeah, it's got more grip texture than my echelon does as a pretty large trigger area. Yeah. If you look at the squared off trigger guard.
A
Oh yeah.
B
So if you got echelon, you can kind of get an idea very similar to it. Yeah, not a bad looking.
A
No, it's nice. I like it.
B
Yes, I definitely like that grip. If you're really. If you're really into glocks, the Glock 6 is nice.
A
Gen 6. Yeah.
B
Check the weird beaver tail.
A
Yeah, yeah. You pointing at it, mom. That don't help.
B
You didn't know pronounced on that. Yeah, it is my echelon.
A
Yeah, you can get up in there.
B
Yeah, yeah, you can definitely get a good grip on it.
A
Yeah, no it's nice. I like it.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
If it had a little bit better trigger.
B
Yeah, I would change the trigger.
A
You're hitting the mic front.
B
I moved it so I could get back up, but I would change the trigger.
A
But I think, I mean but for a concealed carry, I mean you train with it and then it'll. I think you'd be fine.
B
It's not, it's not horrible. Horrible.
A
I mean you can get used to it.
B
So it's not a canon trigger, but it's not a horrible trigger. Well that's good though.
A
Apparently my trigger is not stopping me from slapping it all over the place. So.
B
Yeah, maybe I need a bushy trigger. Yeah, right.
A
Yeah. But yeah, I like it. So it's good. Like a good option for. So guys. I think Springfield had another deal going with their airlines though, didn't they?
B
Well, I've got an order for when I'm waiting on. It's been out of stock. I'm trying to get a. The same deal I got. I got a customer ordered that but it's on. It's been out of stock at all. My whole set is right now. So yeah, just waiting for that to come back in stock where you get the whole package. You get five mags and yeah, a lot of stuff comes with that one. Couple carrying cases with it back straps. But the five mags part of it's just.
A
I Still like Mechanic. If they were all the same price, I'd probably go with the S line. I went with the Canon because it's a little bit cheaper.
B
Yeah.
A
But if it was between the Glock, the S line and Mechanic, if they were all priced exact same thing with a decent price or, you know, a lower price, I would, I would probably go with that Echelon every time.
B
But Echelon, I get the package because it already comes with an optic on it, comes with five mags, comes with a carrying case. I mean, I can't remember the price. I had to look the pricing up on that, but it was a pretty good deal with all that.
A
Yeah, I mean, my cannon shoots really well.
B
Oh yeah? Yeah.
A
But I like those as well.
B
Yeah. So hopefully get those back in stock. The Glenn. The Glenn. The Glocks are coming in, getting more available.
A
You say Glenn?
B
I don't know. Gl like my wife calls it the G lock.
A
That's not funny.
B
It's pretty funny.
A
What'd you make fun of your wife for?
B
I'm not making fun of her.
A
She didn't have hip surgery. You making fun of her? Oh, whatever. You're an idiot, man. Doggy dog about killed her the other day when we come home. Oh yeah?
B
Yeah. She. That dog's strong and pulled her, rinsed her hip a little bit. So delayed her recovery a bit to get these packages out.
A
Oh, whatever. What you got next?
B
Let's move on to some use of force stuff. So we got two use of force cases. This first one comes out of our concealed carry magazine from uscca. This is, this is out of Maryland. This is a jeweler that was. He has his. Off his store downstairs and he has a home kind of upstairs. You got two story place where he's. Where he lives upstairs from his jewelry store. He heard some noise late one night, goes down and comes into contact with somebody that's broken into his store trying to steal some jewelry. He. This is around 2am See, that's why I keep saying nothing good ever happens at 2:00am well, he was not out
A
at 2:00am he was in.
B
The other guy was out.
A
Yeah, but he was. I didn't say he was or the other guy was actually out trying not to do something good.
B
Well, I get that.
A
So he was like. He just surprised him. Hey, I was out of 2am So I guess I had to go steal something. That's not what happened, but.
B
So you got a guy in his story attempting to steal jewelry. He didn't know whether the guy had a firearm. Or not. He believed he did. So when he came down, he fired at the guy, killing the guy.
A
Oh, wow.
B
Okay. Turns out. Or it might not have killed him. He shot the guy. He just got it that way.
A
He shot him. Well, he's in the store, so.
B
Yeah, I should have read. I read it.
A
I got notes. Did you just say you should have read?
B
I read it. I realized.
A
Can't remember.
B
I'm trying to remember if he died. I don't have any notes on it. I just read the story. The guy ended up not having a firearm.
A
Okay. Well, I mean, I consider that just like you're breaking into his house, if the story that is attached to his home. I see it no different. Is breaking into his home.
B
Yeah. I mean, Maryland law allows for defense of inhabited property. Homicide may be ruled self defense or defense of habitation if it meets certain factors. And those, Those factors include the suspect attempted to enter a home or property or did enter a home or property without permission, which this person did.
A
And you don't know if he's coming upstairs.
B
So the defender believed the person entering the property intended to commit a crime that would lead to death or serious bodily injury? Don't know. Yeah, absolutely. Breaks in, now, they're going to ask him, hey, are you going to hurt me? If not, go ahead and take whatever you want. Right. Defender believed the suspect intended to commit a crime on the premises. Absolutely. Or the defender reasonably believed that force used was necessary to prevent death or injury. So Baltimore police did not charge him with anything.
A
That's good. So hopefully, I mean, nothing comes of it.
B
Yeah. From a use of force. I don't, you know, we. It was a good use of force, I think.
A
So you don't know. I mean, you don't know if he's got a weapon or not. Come downstairs, it's dark, he's already broken in. You don't know what's going to happen. So.
B
Yeah, so I really wanted to focus on other options on this one. So you hear noise, You're. You're living upstairs from your store, you hear noise down in your store. You don't know how many people are there. You don't know if they're armed.
A
Yeah. Just stay up there. Yeah. And. And keep an eye on that door. Yeah, you could do that.
B
Yeah. I mean, there was some comments on there that. Well, he had to go down because he didn't want to wait for somebody to come up there.
A
What?
B
Yeah, you could barricade yourself in or even position yourself at the top of the stairs where you're in a. And what do you call it?
A
A better position?
B
I guess. I guess in a better position you got the high ground.
A
Right.
B
So you're in a better position because you don't know, you know, just he won this fight, but, you know, it could have been the other way around and he could have.
A
Right.
B
He could have multiple people.
A
It may have been more prudent to stay upstairs, but I, I understand how you don't want to just wait for people to come.
B
Absolutely. I mean, if somebody's breaking into my
A
store, I'm also don't want to go down and get shot. And then, then if you have a wife and kids upstairs, then they have no protection. So.
B
Yeah, so you got family members of the person that was shot that had been circulating different narratives about the shooting.
A
Of course, maybe, maybe have your family member not break into somebody's house or store.
B
They were saying there was no reason to shoot the guy.
A
Hey, don't break in and then you won't have a reason at all. Yeah, quit stealing.
B
Yeah.
A
Crap. I hate that crap. Yep. Hey, if he breaks in, you don't. People don't know what they're gonna do. There's a reason there.
B
I'm with you.
A
I hate, I hate the. Hey, we're gonna, we're gonna whine about something happening to, to somebody stealing something. All right, what else? What you got next?
B
What I do with my iPad. Oh, here it is. This is my next story.
A
Well, let's see. Come on, quit turning it off. Come on.
B
Pulling the, pulling it up now. So this is out of Tennessee. So you got a man charged with manslaughter saying that he acted in self defense during a home break in. So here you've got a man and his wife in their home, probably 2am Let me see what time this happened. This is out of Memphis. He was charged. This is one charged with voluntary manslaughter.
A
So the one in the. What you mentioned earlier wasn't.
B
Which one did I mention earlier?
A
I don't know, something about a car.
B
Oh, that was the Huntsville guy. Yeah, yeah. Now that was the Huntsville guy. That was. Yeah, he was charged with assault.
A
Okay.
B
He was charged with assault.
A
That's different. So that guy lived.
B
Yeah, that guy lived.
A
All right.
B
Yeah, I remember that now.
A
Good job.
B
Yeah. So he's free right now on a fifty thousand dollar bond after he fired three shots at a man who he found inside his living room at around 2:00am, 3:30am Good guess, though. He and his mother. How does this dude.
A
Continue on?
B
Man, he and his mother were in the home and they were trying, you know, they hear somebody break in, they come down, the guys come through a window in his house. The guy apparently says, oh, I didn't know anybody lived here.
A
Okay.
B
The police said he was trying to leave when he was shot.
A
How did the police know this?
B
I don't know. It said, let's see, Mark Marquis and his mother disputed the police account, saying the man was not leaving the apartment. So I don't know how the police said. Unless they didn't die right.
A
Right away.
B
And he told the police he was trying to leave, which why don't the police take his word?
A
I don't know how the police.
B
But that's how they've been charged.
A
In the article telling us how the police just says. Came up with that.
B
It just says the police said he was leaving. Let me see. Said he was walking toward the front door when he found out that someone lived there. It's what the police said.
A
How do they know?
B
He must have told him. Tennessee, here's what some, some things that irritate me. Tennessee, stand your ground law prevents people from using lethal force to protect property and only allows it to protect life. No, stand your ground says you do not have to leave an area that you're legally allowed to be in and you can use force to protect yourself. It doesn't say anything about anything else. That's all stand your ground is.
A
We'd be talking council doctrine at that point. Yeah.
B
Even in council doctrine you've got. If somebody breaks into your home, you can usually the force.
A
Exactly.
B
It's interesting. So there was a. We'll talk about the use of force a minute. There's a criminal attorney law, criminal attorney out of Tennessee about this case. Let me read what he says. The suspected burglar died at the hospital. So he might have made a statement to the police.
A
So they gonna believe the. The thief and the guy that broke in over the people that were defending their lives.
B
So you got Phil Harvey, the owner of Harvey criminal defense lawyer said that based on Griffin's charging charges, which is the guy that shot the homeowner that shot the guy, the Memphis Police department and the DA's office decided that he did not have a legitimate self defense claim. If it's true that Mr. Griffith shot someone outside of the home, which nothing has ever said he shot somebody outside of the home. It just said he shot the guy. Then all of a sudden you get this, outside of the home.
A
So was he laying outside?
B
It didn't say. It never Said it must have been.
A
He must have been outside when they shot him. That's the only way they can do this.
B
And in Harvey, the lawyer said, Tennessee's stand your ground self defense statute is written to apply when a victim is in their home and responding to a threat who is also inside or actively coming in. No, it is not the standard no duty to retreat part of the statute simply says you have to have reasonable fear of what they call imminent danger. Stand your ground simply says if you're allowed to be in a certain area, you don't have to retreat. Retreat before you use lethal force. It has nothing to do with the legal ability to use lethal force. That's where other laws come into play.
A
Castle doctrine, I think, on this case
B
is this guy was outside the house
A
when he got shot. That's the only way I can see how the police would say he was looking, leaving.
B
Yeah, because Tennessee is basically. They're saying he was fleeing and they. And he guy shot him.
A
But I don't understand how they know he was fleeing. And even. Even if he's in the house and he starts running to the door, you don't know still, if he's not going to shoot. Jesus, we're supposed to wait and play. If he does know, hey, he got shot, then he starts trying to get out and he falls outside. Then he wasn't fleeing, he was inside, he got shot and then he decided to leave. That's still.
B
All right, let's just talk about it from use force, from our standpoint of what we know.
A
Well, we don't know a lot. Let's say if he was in the house, then I don't see a problem with him shooting him.
B
No.
A
Now let's say he runs out the door and the guy runs behind him and shoots from his doorway to a guy outside in his yard, then that's a problem.
B
Yes, that's.
A
Then you shouldn't be shooting them.
B
Agree. If he shoots the guy and the guy continues running and gets outside and then that's.
A
Yeah, well, don't keep shooting him. But if you don't from the first bullet inside, then. But yeah. The only thing I can think is the only. The only scenario here is if he's outside your house running away, don't shoot at him.
B
All right, let's talk about in terms of our. You walk. You walk down or walk into a room, you've got somebody that's come through a window if he's not armed.
A
Well, I don't know if he's not armed.
B
No. Nobody Knows. I mean you don't know if he's not armed.
A
I'm just saying whether he's got a
B
knife or a hammer or what a tough situation.
A
Yeah. I mean if he's breaking into my house, I'm shooting him. Yeah.
B
Somebody breaking into my house or if I come downstairs and somebody's in my house.
A
Yeah. I'm going to.
B
I'm not waiting to find out what they're.
A
Hey, you carry.
B
Hey, did you mean to come in here? Did you know we lived here?
A
Hey, are you just going to steal something? Are you going to try to kill us? No, they're going to get shot. Yeah.
B
I think he's got a set defense claim. If he.
A
If I see somebody, they run out my door and they're running down the street. I'm not shooting them.
B
I wouldn't use this lawyer. This defense lawyer is my lawyer.
A
Let's not, let's. Let's be a little more logical where we're shooting people though. If he's inside, I don't know how this guy's getting being prosecuted. I don't understand how the cops are saying he was leaving unless.
B
Yeah. They're taking the guy's work.
A
I don't know. Well, we don't even know that. We don't know who's word to take him to.
B
I don't know how they.
A
If hopefully these.
B
Unless the homeowners.
A
Yeah.
B
Don't talk to the police.
A
I was fear of my life.
B
How do you and I use force
A
to stop the threat and then that's all you say. Boom. Get a better lawyer.
B
Yeah. And get a lawyer that's gonna know self defense law.
A
Not.
B
I understand the difference between stand your ground law or statutes. Castle doctrine and all these other laws that related to use of force.
A
I'm not real clear on this one. Could be good or bad. I don't know. Yeah, well, maybe. Maybe you can get an update on it.
B
Yeah, I'll try. But my biggest takeaway is if you. If someone is breaking into your home to me, you have the right to use force to. To stop that threat.
A
What you got next?
B
Something I got on use of force. You want to move on to some little Vermont.
A
Damn little Vermont.
B
All right, before you move into your stuff, let me go to my normal. You cannot bypass the Nick's background check because they do not have permits in Vermont. They do not issue concealed carry permits in Vermont. So there's no way to bypass the background check when you're purchasing a firearm. They are ranked, let's see, 16th in the US in gun ownership with 50.5% of individuals in the state owning at least one firearm. So not bad on, on ranking there.
A
Well, Vermont, from what I can see, has been a pretty dang good state up until the last six years and then it's kind of, kind of going downhill a little bit. But it is a constitutional carry state. Anyone 18 or older who can legally possess a firearm under state and federal law can carry a handgun openly or concealed without a permit. Minimum age is 18. I did say anyway, 18 or older, you generally must be 21 years old to purchase a farm with some exceptions, those who have completed a hunter safety course or military law enforcement personnel. So if you're under 21, you could, you complete a hunter safety course, you can purchase a firearm. There are some location restrictions. Firearms are prohibited in courthouses and state hospitals. The state also has specific regulations restricting firearm discharge within 500ft of occupied dwellings. So, and that's only, that's not like a gun range, obviously. So they do have universal background checks. All firearms sales and transfers must go through a license firearms dealer unless the transfer is between immediate family members. Now here's a, here's one I don't like. I'm not crazy about that one, but I'm not. Here's one. There's a 72 hour waiting period for firearm transfer transfers or until the licensed dealer is provided with a unique identification number from the background check system, whichever occurs first. They do have magazine capacities. The state bans high capacity magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds. Now listen, this for rifles, 15 rounds for handguns.
B
That makes no sense.
A
So you can have more than a 10 round mag for a rifle and no more than a 15 round mag for a handgun. And these. I'm gonna do your air quotes. Air quotes. Ghost guns are prohibited.
B
You know these mag bands, they're, they, they're all over the place. 10 rounds, 15 rounds, 17 rounds.
A
Here's some other stuff they got that is not beneficial. Secure storage. Gun owners are required to store farms in a lock container or equip them with a tamper resistant lock safety device in premises where a child or legally prohibited person to get this is likely to gain access.
B
So how, what is child? Is that 0 to 18?
A
I believe so, yeah. Then they also have red flag laws. Vermont has an extreme risk protection order law that allows family members and law enforcement to petition a court to temporary remove firearms from individuals who pose a danger to themselves or others. I don't want law enforcement deciding that. I don't want some Family members deciding that no domestic violence individuals. Now when you say family members, that could be a. You could be going through a divorce. You're still a family member if you're not an ex wife. And they could. They could say that.
B
Oh, they would do domestic violence.
A
Individuals commit. Convicted of domestic violence misdemeanors or subject to protective. Protective orders or legally prohibited from possessing or purchasing firearms. So there's a few of them. So let's say the. Let me go to some other gun laws I'm on. So USCCA is doing away with their current app and they have another app that I've always had. I think I like it better. They don't. There is no definition of brandishing. So be careful about brandishing the. Let's see. It does have preemption. The state has preemption of firearms laws in Vermont. Vermont, except local municipalities may regulate or prohibit the discharge of firearms which you can't shoot. City limits, basically. Let's see. There is no duty to inform an officer that you're carrying. The no weapon allow signs are enforced though. So here's what they sell. It is legal to enter or remain. Now that. Or remain on any land or in any place as to which notice prohibiting firearms is given by actual communication or posted signs. So that would be the, you know, our normal. Hey, I go there. They tell me to leave. You're going to be trespassed if you don't leave. So it's going to be unlawful if you don't leave. So if you. If somebody tells you leave, go ahead and leave. What questions you got? Let's see, you can carry in bars and rest and restaurants that serve alcohol. Let's say storing a vehicle employee. They don't really have anything about storing in your employee parking lot. You can carry in state national parks. Let's see, do you need a. Let's see, you don't need a permit for that. You can carry in vehicles without a permit. You know, it's always weird about hotels. I'm gonna carry in a hotel. I don't care what they say.
B
Yeah, me too.
A
So. And you can carry it roadside rest areas. So yeah, I'll be actually the new. If you look at the new ussa USCCA reps represent reciprocity map. It's kind of nice. So if you look at this. So if I wanted to look here. So if I'm looking here, I can go like. Let me just click on wherever and it tells me I just click on whatever state and it tells me if I'm carrying That state or not Nice.
B
It's better there. We used to complain about their website
A
New York City for Alabama. And you can see there if you look at DSA and it says you cannot get New York. So the new website seems to be a little better. So you know, that's the basic laws of. Of Vermont and good for constitutional carry. But I don't like the 72 hour wait. I don't like red flag laws. I don't like magazine capacity bands. I don't like ghost gun. Supposedly ghost gun bands. Also on there is a bump stops. So they don't allow bump stocks which. Which is. I don't understand that since it was thrown out federally. So how can they. Of course it's like all these other states that make unconstitutional laws and, and nobody.
B
No consequences.
A
I had a whole nother page on this by the way and it just disappeared on me however page.
B
Oh man, I don't remember. I was disappointed with that my law again.
A
So. So anyway, it's, it's. It could be better. Not one of our. Not one of our worst, but not one of our best by a long shot.
B
So we got coming up next. Which state we got coming up next?
A
We so far out of order? I don't know. Oh no.
B
Washington.
A
Well, crap. We. You don't have our map in here, so we don't know.
B
We got to be getting close to the end of this thing.
A
We done? Have we done. We hadn't done Washington yet.
B
No, we did Vermont.
A
We hadn't done West Virginia. So we got here.
B
I think Washington's next. And we'll look at the map and see. Let's move on to some range. Range talk a couple drills we shot this past weekend. Gonna try to continue that trend of shooting a few different drills. Really gonna focus on the ones that we're seeing from the tier one guys on their. Their webs, their YouTube videos. I think there's some good. Especially for concealment. There's some good videos. I like theirs. Check it out on their YouTube site because they actually put a camera down there at the targets so you can see their hits. You know we see. So you see some other Instagram posts and other things from other shooters.
A
I like the camera they got on there.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Because you see other shooters and you, you see they're shooting fast but you don't know where they're hidden. And these guys, you can see if they're missing the target or they're outside the A zone or they shooting over the. Over the top and they're Shooting at the head zone. So it's nice to see that. Get that feedback from them as well, to see what they're actually doing something to. You can look at how you're doing compared to that.
A
Yeah. So let's talk about. So we did the one drill. I mentioned it a few episodes back about though. I think it was Hunter Constantine warm up drill where he would do 10 yards, one shot to the head, to the. On a USPSA target, head, head box,
B
which is about a two.
A
He would do that 10 times and his goal would be under 1.5 seconds.
B
That's fast.
A
And not miss. And that's a, it's a. That's a good drill. It's a warm up drill. So we did, we did seven yards and we were, we wanted to. I mean, we were getting around 1.6.
B
Yeah.
A
If I would, I could increase that. I could do 1.3, but then I would miss. I would miss the head box. I would usually. I would usually pull the trigger and pull it down a little bit below hitbox. If I, if I took my time and I could do that drill, I could get it under two seconds. If it doesn't try to go too fast.
B
Yeah, I can do this alone. I think, I think my goal is going to be 175.
A
Yeah.
B
I've got to do some more. It's been so long since I've done any concealed carry work. That's why I want to really get back into that.
A
Well, I felt good about my draw. The problem was when I, When I try to go quick and when I try to fire quick, I, I don't have good trigger discipline. So I got to work my trigger discipline.
B
My precision was good. My accuracy was a bit off and I think that's more from.
A
Well, that's when we're going to get into the doubles.
B
Yeah.
A
Because we also did. We did that drill. Then I did some doubles. Just some doubles, you know, out of. From the. Before you came in. Talking about another.
B
Yeah, talking about the headshot drill. I'm having, you know, I'm trying to follow my dot way too much on the headshot drill. So I'm. I'm looking at my dot instead of looking at the target.
A
Well, that's dry fire. And get your index better. I am pulling a better index.
B
I'm moving the gun all over the place, trying to get it back into the head, head area. When I'm doing that, that's where I
A
think dry fire definitely beneficial.
B
Yeah. So I'm gonna do some. Definitely do A lot of dry fire over the next week or two.
A
We say dry fire is this, you know, drawn and putting on target.
B
You don't have to really trigger it. Yeah. Working on that index. So where you. You know where you're getting that gun at. You know where it's going to be. I got to focus more. Even when we were doing this next drill, where we were doing two. Two on one target, transition over to another target.
A
Two targets, two shots to the two shots. Today's on body, a zone, and then transition to the second target. Two shots on it.
B
They're probably about three feet, three feet apart. So.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Once again, I'm. My grouping sucked.
B
Yeah, your grouping was a little off. Your little. My. My grouping was good, so my accuracy was bad. I was shooting a little left from center. I still get a lot. Most of them in a zones, and I still shoot a little left.
A
And I can see when I'm pulling the trigger, I can see my dot jump. Jump down and left. Yeah, just my. I'm not keeping good, constant grip pressure. So I got to get better at having a good, constant grip. Grip hard at my left hand, be a little more relaxed my right hand and. And make a good trigger pull. When I. When I just sit there and shoot at a easy pace. Man, I can put them right there in a really tight group. It's just when I try to increase my speed, I'm.
B
It's interesting how I do better have changed over even the past couple years on the way I do my grip from. From grip where I grip both my hands as tight as I possibly can to where I switch up the. The pressure on one hand or the other. I think the best grip I've found so far is the. The tightest. The tight with my offhand and a little bit looser with my trigger hand. So I'm not.
A
Yeah. So you don't get that sympathetic motion out of the other fingers and you. And you pull in the gun and
B
something you got to play around with to see what really.
A
And then you got to be consistent. Yeah, that's one thing. I got to get more consistent with my grip pressure when I come out of the holster when I get to. On the target. And when I. That second shot, I got to be. I got to hold that grip.
B
So when I was doing that drill. So two on the first target, transition to the second target. My. My draws are just so slow, and I was consistently around the 155, 160 for our first shot with a. Now my. My follow up shot 19.2, then a transition of about 0.4 with another follow up of about 0.1, 9.2. So the follow up shots are not, are good. I can usually stay within that, under that point to. On my follow up of my, my transition, I wasn't too upset with a 0.4 transition between the targets.
A
The target probably what, maybe five feet apart.
B
Yeah. But my draw, man, I'm, I'm slow on the draw, man. I need to be taken off. So I'm, I'm right around that. I'm under the, under the three second mark on that drill. Right around the 2.5 seconds. I need to get that down to, you know, low twos. Under a two second drill.
A
Yeah. There's no reason not. But are you sure you were, that's. I don't think you were that slow. I don't remember what the times were on that one. I should have wrote.
B
Well, I mean if you think about a 1.6 draw with a 0.4 transition, you're two seconds and then 2.2 follow ups. You're right at 2.4 there. So 2 5. I'm right around that 25 range.
A
All right.
B
I need to get that, I need to get my draw down to
A
below
B
a 1, 3 where I used to be when I was doing a lot of concealed carry work. And I haven't, I haven't done that. Hey, I bet it's been a, a year since I've done a lot of concealed carry work.
A
Yeah.
B
So getting back into that now, really going to focus on concealed carry stuff. Gonna start doing some mag changes, concealed carry stuff, and really, really focus on that.
A
Our next drill we're going to do is the, the fast drill. F A S T. And it's.
B
I don't remember what.
A
I want to look that up.
B
Yeah. And it's fast, accurate, and I don't remember what the rest of it stands for, but it's basically you got, you draw. You, you draw to two shots to the head. You transition, you do a mag change and four shots to the body.
A
It's not fast, by the way. I mean, the acronym's fast. It's not fast. Accurate fundamentals.
B
Oh yeah, that's right.
A
And speed test.
B
Yeah, yeah, that's it.
A
Rain seven yards, drill begins.
B
Go is under five seconds. Right.
A
Well, you got different, different goals.
B
So that's my goal.
A
10 seconds is novice. Less than 10 is intermediate. Less than 7 is advanced. Less than 5 is expert. That's how they score it.
B
All right, so we're looking at seven.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
I mean with a mag change. I mean, let me think about the two head shots you're. Yeah, yeah. Less than seven is probably my goal.
A
Draw fire two, perform a slide lock reload.
B
Ah, I gotta remember that.
A
Slide lock reload and then four.
B
Okay. Gotta remember the slide lock part of it. That's a good drill. So.
A
Yeah, that's when the tier one guys were doing it. But they were doing it not in slide lock.
B
So. Yeah, and they were doing it trying to do it under five, which I think they were doing it. Yeah, but you're right, they didn't do it at slide lock.
A
Yeah, they mentioned that in the video. Yeah. So. But yeah, that's the next, that's the next trip we're going to shoot. We're going to. We'll shoot that.
B
I think this. Other times I think the, the Target is a 3 by 5 head and we're going to be shooting it on
A
maybe a little bit smaller.
B
Yeah, two by four here.
A
I'll tell you, the seven seconds is a long time. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to do it.
B
Even with a 2 second mag change, you still should be able to do it 107 seconds. So that's why I say that should be.
A
We should be at that.
B
So I'm looking at a, you know, if you do a one six draw on your first headshot and then a point two. So you're just one eight. Oh, it should be a mag change.
A
Three.
B
Yeah. Three. Eight. Almost four seconds. Four shots. And you can do four shots in a second.
A
Yeah.
B
So we should be right at that.
A
5. Yeah.
B
So that's our next.
A
I look forward to shooting that. So we'll see. Hopefully I won't fail miserably.
B
Yeah, I think our goal, initial goal is going to be under seven, but we should be doing that under six. Yeah, it goes five will be pushing it because that, those first two shots are going to be tough. It's going to be interesting. So if you've got any listeners out there, they want to shoot that drill shoot is what you shoot it in. Let us know.
A
Yeah.
B
What you get. So we can kind of talk about that once you guys shoot it in. Compared to what we shoot it in,
A
it's the fast F A S T. Yeah.
B
So it'd be, it'd be interesting to see what other, what other listeners can shoot that drill in. And if you shoot any of the other drills we're talking about, let us know how you do on those as well. And if you Got a specific drill you want to do.
A
If you go to www.poddist-training.com, you can find that drill or just search fast drill. That's what I did. So you can get those targets?
B
Yeah. So, yeah, we're not gonna buy the target. We're just gonna shoot it off a usb.
A
I already have the target. You gotta buy them.
B
You just print them off. Print them off. All right, we can shoot that.
A
I think I already have some. We used to shoot this drill some.
B
Yeah, it's been a while. Yeah, there's a couple of the five circle drill. Check that one out too. That one's a. That's a hard drill. I think it was the five circle drill, wouldn't it?
A
There's a bunch of hard ones. I tried.
B
So we're definitely going to be doing more of that when we go to the range and more training related to concealed carry work. Really going to focus on that. Like I said, I'm gonna do some concealed carry with some of my larger guns too. Just to practice my draws. And mag changes it.
A
You got anything else?
B
That's all I got.
A
Getting hungry. I'm ready for some launch.
B
All right. We are everything guns.
A
We're out.
B
How far along were we?
A
An hour.
B
Okay, good. Close to an hour.
A
With your mess up on the intro,
B
we got some time.
