Cooper DeJean
You got a new staff coming in, Coach Kevin Stefanski. Yep. New OC what excites yourself about them and what they're going to bring to Atlanta? Have you. Have you been in contact with them?
Bijan Robinson
I have. I have. Yeah, man, Kevin. Kevin's awesome, man. As soon as he got the job, like, we started talking to each other immediately and about life on the field, off the field. And the thing I love about him is his leadership. He's been a head coach before, so, you know, to see him and. And this role with the Falcons and his vision for the team and talk about it with him, it's been a. It's been pretty special. And he's just such an offensive mind, and we love that.
Cooper DeJean
Pretty exciting. Welcome back to the Exciting mics. I'm Cooper DeJean.
Reed Blankenship
And I'm Reed Blankenship. We're in San Francisco this week at the EA Sports Madden NFL booth at Super Bowl Media Center. Back with another great episode.
Cooper DeJean
Remember to follow exciting mics on all platforms like comment, share and subscribe on YouTube or wherever you listen to your podcast. Let's get it started. We're going to start this podcast off with how we do it, every single episode with what's exciting us this week.
Reed Blankenship
You've been down here for a little bit.
Cooper DeJean
Down here for a little bit.
Reed Blankenship
What for? What for?
Cooper DeJean
I was down here for the Pro Bowl. That's right, the Pro Bowl. I got down here Saturday. Got to be a part of the Pro bowl festivities. All the fun stuff. Played the game Tuesday. Nfc, got the dub.
Reed Blankenship
Nice.
Cooper DeJean
Got a nice little check, you know.
Reed Blankenship
Wow.
Cooper DeJean
For winning the Pro bowl.
Reed Blankenship
We want a.
Cooper DeJean
Which isn't too bad.
Reed Blankenship
A present then.
Cooper DeJean
You want what?
Reed Blankenship
I want a present.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, you're gonna get a present. You're gonna get a present. And Reed. Yep. Flew in this morning and he's flying out tonight for his baby moon.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Where you get. Probably shouldn't disclose that, but.
Reed Blankenship
But shout out to wifey for allowing me to say. Allowing me. But yeah, she. She made some things work and I'm able to come out here.
Cooper DeJean
We got up early at like 4am I did so.
Reed Blankenship
Running on some caffeine.
Bijan Robinson
Oh, were you trying to get me?
Reed Blankenship
I was just doing that. Sorry.
Cooper DeJean
All right, let's catch up a little bit.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, sure.
Cooper DeJean
What have you been up to since the season ended? Anything fun? Anything crazy you spent Chilling.
Reed Blankenship
I guess more of moving is. That's. That's not really fun. Yeah. Moving from Philly back to tn. So back.
Cooper DeJean
Tennessee.
Reed Blankenship
Like Tennessee. Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
It's not. That's not a lot of fun.
Reed Blankenship
Moving is always.
Cooper DeJean
I hate moving. I hate packing. I hate unpacking.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
I hate all of it.
Reed Blankenship
It's got to be done, though.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
But we. We made it work. Made it work.
Cooper DeJean
That's good. I mean, I've just been hanging out. I was in PA For a little bit for a week or so, and then went back to Iowa for a few days, and I've been enjoying the nice little weather down in Arizona.
Reed Blankenship
Well, I'll tell you one thing. I'll tell you one thing. Me and. Me and my wife drove from Jersey to Tennessee.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
Obviously it was freezing up there. Went back down south still, same temperature. They handle it a little. Little bit different. Crazy South. Everything. Everything shuts down.
Cooper DeJean
But obviously, season didn't end the way we wanted it to. That is why we're here talking to you guys. Yeah. Radio Row in San Francisco. But, you know, how long. How long did it take you to get over that. That last loss?
Reed Blankenship
I'm still not over it.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
Honest.
Cooper DeJean
Probably not to the end of the season, I think.
Reed Blankenship
I won't even say end of the season. I guess back to when I started.
Cooper DeJean
Obviously, it hurts a little less now, like, after the game, a few weeks after the game. But, yeah, it sucks not. Not to be able to play, you know, this. This weekend. And now it's back to work in the off season. Reed's gonna read the free agent, so hopefully we can bring him back.
Reed Blankenship
We'll see.
Cooper DeJean
To Philadelphia. You got. What are some things you're gonna try and improve on this. This offseason when you go back to work there?
Reed Blankenship
There's a few things. Sometimes, like, some things, I want to just keep it personal so I can just work on it myself.
Bijan Robinson
Absolutely.
Reed Blankenship
Physically, probably a little more core, a little more flexibility.
Cooper DeJean
For sure.
Reed Blankenship
Might get into Pilates. That's.
Cooper DeJean
I'm.
Reed Blankenship
I'm about to, too, so I don't know how it works. I might be the only, like, professional athlete in the studio, but that's all right. That'd be the least flexible.
Cooper DeJean
And you're gonna be in there with a bunch of pros.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
I think speed and strength are always, always things.
Reed Blankenship
Absolutely.
Cooper DeJean
You know, that you. That we needed to continue and to improve on those. That'll never change, you know, but pretty soon, we're gonna get back to work. We've been relaxing.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
The last few weeks or so. Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
I mean, this was. I was actually talking to somebody, I guess, a couple days ago. It felt like last season and this season just meshed together.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, it was crazy all at once. Felt really long.
Reed Blankenship
I don't know. You can get a little mentally fatigued and physically fatigued, but it's good to have a couple. Couple weeks or so just to.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
To lay low and let your body recover the way it needs to.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, Most definitely is. That's. That's what I've been doing. Reed's been doing that also, so. But now we're here. Yeah, we're here in San Francisco talking on. On exciting mics. Obviously.
Reed Blankenship
Crazy. It's a different environment here.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
It's not our. It's not our own little studio. We do. We do. We're going. What have you been doing after the Pro bowl, dude?
Cooper DeJean
Pro Bowl. I've been here on Meteor Row, living it up. Joey has been. Joey's been putting me to work down here at the. At media row.
Reed Blankenship
I'm sure she's taking.
Cooper DeJean
Talk to some cool people. I got to be on Pat McAfee Show.
Reed Blankenship
How was that?
Cooper DeJean
It was cool. It was really cool. I made a shot for 10,000 to charity. Did you make it in a basketball hoop? Yeah. 10,000 charity. I missed the first one, though, which would have been 20,000 to charity.
Reed Blankenship
Oh, so she made the second one, though.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
You're on K. I made.
Cooper DeJean
I made. Yeah, I was on kms, too.
Bijan Robinson
That was.
Cooper DeJean
That was an interesting. Interesting interview.
Reed Blankenship
I feel like you never know. You never know what's going, like, about to be asked.
Cooper DeJean
You never do. But that's okay. That's okay. Sometimes you just got to go with the flow.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
And you know, that's what I do. That's what I do. We both just go to the flow. Go with the flow.
Reed Blankenship
That's what we do, man. We're on the loudspeaker. Don't say anything crazy.
Cooper DeJean
We're on the loudspeaker. Exciting mics, baby. Me and Reed blanketship back here at super bowl week. It's a little different this year, obviously, being on radio Row filming the podcast compared to last year. But it's a little bit of the same, though, because there's a lot of media that goes along.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, it's different. I mean, you gotta. When you're here for the super bowl, you gotta balance the media and play a game. Yeah. Here we're just.
Cooper DeJean
We're just bounce. We're just loving the media and having a good time, so it's okay.
Reed Blankenship
I'd rather be on the other end.
Cooper DeJean
Trying, but 100% would be. That's all right, though. It's hard to Believe it's been almost a. Almost a year since we won the super bowl on my birthday. Birthday's coming up on Monday. The game's on Sunday.
Reed Blankenship
Yep.
Cooper DeJean
So it's been. It's been a crazy year. It's. It almost seems like the years blended together. Like we went to the super bowl, just rolled right into the next season.
Reed Blankenship
I feel like there was no break. But we did have a break.
Cooper DeJean
But we did have a break. Very little breakdown.
Reed Blankenship
The schedule. Home away.
Cooper DeJean
Home away. Yeah, our schedule was insane.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
But no excuses.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
I mean, no excuses. Obviously, the end goal wasn't achieved, and now it's. Now it's back to work, but a lot of things have changed. We're still us, you know, we're still rebanking ship. Cooper, Jean.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Well, you guys all know, but things around us have changed, obviously. We started the podcast.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah. Didn't. I mean, didn't know what we were getting into, but we really didn't.
Cooper DeJean
And now we're here at Super Bowl. We shooting a podcast on radio. Crazy Reed's up. This is his style. He's rocking jeans. He probably. Last year this time.
Jeremiah Love
No.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, no sweatpants. Yeah, last year, you would have been wearing sweatpants.
Reed Blankenship
Last year at this time, I was wearing. I wore a suit.
Cooper DeJean
No, I'm saying, like, if you were here last year, you would have been wearing a sweat. A sweatsuit.
Reed Blankenship
Probably comfortable.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
Why not be comfortable?
Cooper DeJean
But we can get you. We can get you in some Abercrombie and Fitch, maybe.
Reed Blankenship
Shout out.
Cooper DeJean
Shout out. Shout out.
Reed Blankenship
Shout out.
Cooper DeJean
Let's talk about. Let's talk about last year's Super Bowl. Obviously, with super bowl coming up on Sunday, what were the nerves like going into the game last year?
Reed Blankenship
I had to take a. I don't know what you call it. Like a zofran for nausea.
Cooper DeJean
Really? Dude, it was before the game.
Reed Blankenship
Before the game.
Bijan Robinson
Wow.
Reed Blankenship
There was a couple times last year where I don't. It wasn't. I don't know if it was nerves, just like, this is crazy, you know?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
You have so, like, you. You are a different person than I am when it comes to games.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. I just like to have fun. So you just go out serious.
Reed Blankenship
I got to be serious. Somebody's got to be serious.
Cooper DeJean
I'm. I'm serious, but I'm. Have fun.
Reed Blankenship
I'm not saying you're not serious, but.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
I just wish I was a little bit more calm.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. You know, get there. Maybe we'll get there.
Reed Blankenship
Maybe. Fourth year in the league. It hasn't Changed. So.
Bijan Robinson
No.
Cooper DeJean
But the super bowl last year was probably the most nervous I've been for a game. I don't know if it was mers. I don't know if it was nerves or excitement. I was. I mean, I just had butterflies going through my stomach.
Bijan Robinson
Our locker room.
Cooper DeJean
It's almost like I knew something was about to happen before the game. Like just the amount of butterflies I had.
Reed Blankenship
Well, you didn't have a pick all year.
Cooper DeJean
I didn't have one and I. It's the last game of the year. I'd heard it all year. QA got two in the playoffs, I still hadn't got one and then I got one and then we blew them out big time. Defense played great. Offense played great. Special teams clicking on all cylinders. I think the Nerf stops right after our first drive. Like that first third down stop that we got.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, it's usually after the first hit for me. Like I've got to hit somebody first, whether it's taking on a block or.
Cooper DeJean
Get a feel a little bit, you know? Yeah, feel it, Feel it. Do you have any predictions for this one? For this one? What's your prediction?
Reed Blankenship
I mean, I feel that's going to be pretty close.
Cooper DeJean
It's definitely going to be close to good defenses.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, I don't feel like it's going to be anything like it was last year.
Cooper DeJean
I feel like it depends who. Who gets. Gets the turnover. That one turnover is going to change the game, I feel like.
Reed Blankenship
Wasn't it? I mean, there was when we played the Chiefs in 22. It was close. And then 23 was. It was San Fran and Chiefs again.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
That was a close game too. I feel like that those are defensive games and they're not like crazy exciting for the fans, but for a guy like me, it's.
Cooper DeJean
It's supposed to be the best teams in football. So. Yeah, I mean, you know, but Mad did a simulation and the result was Seahawks 23, Patriots 20.
Reed Blankenship
Wow.
Cooper DeJean
What do you think about that?
Reed Blankenship
I don't know. I mean, I feel like I could see that happen. I can see. I can agree with that. I feel like it is going to be a low scoring game.
Cooper DeJean
Definitely is. Yes. But we'll see what happens. I guess if I. We're back. Now it's time to get into our favorite segment though. Is this the sighting?
Reed Blankenship
Yes.
Cooper DeJean
Fits. This is a special one though, because we're calling it Sharp Fits.
Reed Blankenship
Oh.
Cooper DeJean
Since it's brought to you by our friends at Cooper Cheese Shout Out. Cooper Cheese. We're gonna look at the Following super bowl theme fits and say whether they're mild, medium sharp, or Cooper Sharp.
Reed Blankenship
This is nice.
Cooper DeJean
This is nice.
Reed Blankenship
Who we doing, left or right? Or are we doing this as a whole?
Cooper DeJean
Let's see what we're doing them both. We're doing both. Okay, so I didn't know Zach was going full suit.
Reed Blankenship
So Zach going full suit. I'm going to have to say that's Cooper Sharp.
Cooper DeJean
That is Cooper Sharp.
Reed Blankenship
Now you. I would say I went with the Nike tech medium. Yeah, I'll give you.
Cooper DeJean
I'll give you that. I'll give you that. Because I'm looking like Reed back in back before I met him. I got him to. All right, we got. We got Stefan Diggs here. Super bowl arrival on as he's going to the plane here. He looks a little cold. Looks like he's got some shoes he's gonna switch into once he gets to the warmer weather in San Fran.
Reed Blankenship
It looks like the shoes from Back to the Future.
Cooper DeJean
This, personally, is not something that I would wear, probably. I'll go. I'll give him a sharp because I just. Cause I know he's got. He's got some style and swag.
Reed Blankenship
Whatever you say, I go with, too, I guess. Sharp.
Cooper DeJean
All right, we'll give him sharp. Sharp. Stefon Diggs, Kenneth Walker. Your boy Reed likes the name K9. This was back K9 in week nine. Oh, some calm. This is calm.
Reed Blankenship
Sharp.
Cooper DeJean
Calm Sharp. I'll give him sharp, too. He's got the Louis V. Duffel all white with the green jacket. That's a sick jacket, that is. No, I give him sharp.
Reed Blankenship
I'm saying sharp.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, go with sharp. Oh, bad bunny. Shout out. Bad bunny. This year's super bowl, full halftime show performer at the Met Gala. Personally, I'm a fan of all white.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, I am, too.
Cooper DeJean
So I'm going to go Cooper Sharp on this one just because I like the all white.
Reed Blankenship
I don't know, is the roses part of it or.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, they must be a part of it. I mean, it'd be clean without the rose.
Kyle McCarthy
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Either way, the roses just add a little. A good little aesthetic, I guess. Whoa. We got Bijan Robinson here, who was just. This is awesome. Good fit. I like the red.
Reed Blankenship
I like the red, too.
Cooper DeJean
Red shorts.
Reed Blankenship
It's different. It's unique.
Cooper DeJean
It is unique. It's unique, and I like that. So I'm gonna go Cooper Sharp for him, for our boy Bijan Robinson.
Reed Blankenship
I agree. Got his mustard.
Cooper DeJean
He's got the loafers on with the high socks and the Shorts shout out to his stylist too. That's sick. Now we're going to tell you about our partners from Optimum Nutrition. After a game or workout, I use golden standard whey protein powder to help my muscles recover quickly. My schedule never really slows down, so even in the off season, I'm dialed in on recovery and performance. Golden standard whey protein helps me do that. Right here we got the 40 gram protein shake. I travel a lot. I travel a lot.
Reed Blankenship
A rot.
Cooper DeJean
I travel a lot. So I always got the 40 gram protein shake with me to help me on the road. They also make creatine gummies. Easy.
Reed Blankenship
Just pop in before a workout, after.
Cooper DeJean
A workout or whenever you want to take your creatine. Whenever you want to take your creatine. And they also got the, the powder protein, the golden standard whey protein. Nice. I used the double rich chocolate flavor. Really big chocolate protein shake, guys. Big chocolate, no fruit.
Reed Blankenship
A little bit of fruit.
Cooper DeJean
Maybe throw some fruit in there. Yeah, perfect. Make it. Yeah, add some fruit to it, I guess, if you want.
Bijan Robinson
Do you do that?
Cooper DeJean
I usually just drink the. Why not that golden standard whey protein straight up.
Reed Blankenship
Oh, straight, straight to the dough or.
Cooper DeJean
I got the 40 gram protein shake with me right here on go at all times. You know what I'm saying? So shout out Optimum nutrition. We've been running around with them. We were running around with them yesterday. We were doing interviews on behalf, getting them some shout outs for helping us.
Reed Blankenship
Try it out, then stay recovered.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, we'll get you some.
Reed Blankenship
Thanks, bro.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, you're gonna need one before your flight.
Reed Blankenship
You're right before your flight tonight. Might need one right now.
Cooper DeJean
We're excited to welcome two time Pro Bowler, one time all Pro Falcons running back Bijan Robinson. Welcome to the show.
Reed Blankenship
Thanks for joining us.
Cooper DeJean
Bajan has partnered with Colgate Total to highlight the Colgate Total active prevention whitening toothpaste and toothbrush and emphasize the importance of oral health.
Bijan Robinson
That's right.
Reed Blankenship
What's been your highlight of the super bowl week so far? And talk about us about your partnership with Colgate Total.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah, man, I mean it's been amazing, man, like just being around and seeing all these great people here. Obviously we got a dub in that promo, you know, that's what we do. But no, man, it's just super cool, like you know, being a part of this another year. Obviously, you know us players like we're competitors so we want to play in the bowl. Obviously you guys won last year, congrats. But no, it's A been a great time being here, but yeah, man. With the Colgate total active prevention system, it's been a great partnership. And, you know, I'm super big in handling those problems before they start. And, you know, that's big with Colgate and handling the issues and the oral health problems before they start and, you know, making sure that you don't have to go to a dentist. And so the. But the big thing is their toothbrush and their toothpaste is. Is, you know, what's. What's big right now. And I just want everybody to get it. I want everybody to be a part of it. Because if you love Colgate, you'll love it. If you hate it, then you'll still find a way to love it. So it's good, man.
Cooper DeJean
Shout out, Colgate, baby.
Reed Blankenship
Shout out. But obviously off the field, you're winning. I mean, this year you had what, 2200 yards? A little over 2200 yards.
Bijan Robinson
Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
Reed Blankenship
That's insane.
Bijan Robinson
I mean, it's just a blessing, man, like. Like God is good for continue to let me grow in my game and all over the field, like running the football, catching the football, and it just being a threat all over, wherever I lined up. So, you know, for me, it's just trying to enhance, continue to enhance, not just myself, but my teammates, everybody around me on that offense. So we can continue to, you know, keep striving to be the best.
Reed Blankenship
I'm sorry I keep cutting you off, but go ahead. Do you go into a season knowing that you might get a. A lot of work or it's just one of those things?
Bijan Robinson
Yeah, I mean, I think just one of those things. I know I'm preparing for that. I'm preparing for just a lot of work and whatever the team needs for me. But yeah, I definitely knew, like, I had to go in ready to go with, you know, runner, runner routes right at receiver, at slot from the backfield, and then obviously all the run game stuff. But I just know that I had to become a complete player this year and not just be like some pass run, but every. Everything, whatever.
Reed Blankenship
Yes.
Cooper DeJean
You got a new staff coming in, coach. Kevin Stefanski, new oc. You know what excites yourself about them and what they're going to bring to Atlanta? Have you been in contact with them?
Bijan Robinson
I have, I have, yeah, man, Kevin's awesome, man. As soon as he got the job, like, we started talking to each other immediately and about life on the field, off the field. And the thing I love about him is his leadership. He's been a head coach before, so, you know, to see him in this role with the Falcons and his vision for the team and talk about it with him, it's been a. It's been pretty special. And he's just such an offensive mind and, you know, we love that.
Cooper DeJean
Exciting. Yeah.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
You're going into a contractor, I'm sure. I mean, you're not really thinking about that, but we just went through this. He played pretty well throughout it.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Is that something that's been on your mind or you're just. You're just focused on ball right now?
Bijan Robinson
Yeah, I mean, it's. You know, you focus on ball.
Jeremiah Love
Yeah.
Bijan Robinson
There's talks about it and, you know, I just put it in God's hands, man. Whatever he has for me, and that's. That's what's gonna. That's what's gonna happen. So, you know, obviously, I gotta focus on the now and, you know, take it one day at a time. And, I mean, you see, we'll see what happens.
Reed Blankenship
Sometimes it's hard to put that little voice in the back of your head saying, this is. This is a big year, you know, no doubt. But you just got to go out and play. Whatever happens, like you said, put in God's hands for sure.
Bijan Robinson
That's all you can do. Be yourself.
Cooper DeJean
All right. We're going to ask you some questions about your. Couple of questions about your teammates and yourself.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
So who on the Falcons do you trust the least with the ox cord on a. On a road trip?
Bijan Robinson
I'm going say.
Cooper DeJean
And why.
Bijan Robinson
I'm gonna say Michael Pennix, bro.
Reed Blankenship
Really? Bro.
Bijan Robinson
His taste in music is so dry. Like, he. He's from Florida, so they have the same taste like, bro.
Reed Blankenship
That is true.
Bijan Robinson
It's Kodak Black.
Reed Blankenship
Shout out Matt.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. He's from Florida, too. Yeah.
Bijan Robinson
And it's just crazy. Like, everybody will be so upset if he was on ox. I'm like, you gotta expand your bras, bro. Like indie, alternative. Anything else? So you.
Reed Blankenship
Are you a big. Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Music taste. And I do.
Bijan Robinson
I do. I.
Cooper DeJean
What's your favorite genre of music?
Bijan Robinson
Probably house music.
Cooper DeJean
House music.
Bijan Robinson
House music, you know, because it's all. It can go chill house. Chill house music, or you can go, you know, a little bit more upbeat. But that's. That's my favorite job. I played in the locker room is my dad.
Reed Blankenship
Now, this is another question we have. If the Falcons had a reality show, who's getting the most screen time and why.
Cooper DeJean
Some personality.
Bijan Robinson
I would probably say, you know, one of my. One of My past teammates.
Jeremiah Love
Ray.
Bijan Robinson
Ray McLeod.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, bro.
Bijan Robinson
He would be amazing on a reality TV show.
Reed Blankenship
Like, just his person that. Like his character.
Bijan Robinson
We have another kid. I don't know if y' all know him, but his name is Kobe Bryant.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah. He has a huge personality as well.
Reed Blankenship
So what makes him, like, I know Jordan Davis is one of our.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, probably. Probably be ours.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Bijan Robinson
Yep.
Cooper DeJean
He's just a funny guy. Got a great, great personality.
Reed Blankenship
If they're anything like him, I mean, he's hilarious.
Bijan Robinson
They definitely are. Yeah. Kobe's a big personality, you know, will say whatever, do whatever, and it's. It's pretty hilarious.
Reed Blankenship
Kind of mingles with everybody.
Cooper DeJean
I think you get a lot of screen time on the. On the reality show.
Bijan Robinson
I mean, I think. I think I would, but I know y' all said a teammate, but. So definitely, definitely you can say yourself. I mean, you don't have to be humble, y'.
Reed Blankenship
All.
Cooper DeJean
Maybe as a duo.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, they. They like to throw us in the mix.
Bijan Robinson
Absolutely.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Bijan Robinson
Thank you.
Cooper DeJean
Let's get. So we're. Now. Now we're going to go to you.
Bijan Robinson
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
What on field gear that you wear, do you think makes you elite? It can be anything. Like, could be.
Reed Blankenship
And has it changed throughout the big thing?
Bijan Robinson
I would say the cleats.
Cooper DeJean
Cleats.
Bijan Robinson
Like, I. I need. Man, look at this. Look at this bird.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, I don't like this bird.
Bijan Robinson
It's the wrong bird. What's it called? But I'll say. I'll say my cleats and. And I got to have a specific pair. Like, I got to have a specific saying that I write on there. But yeah, if the bottom of the cleats feel great, like. I know, I know. It's gonna be a great day.
Cooper DeJean
Do you. So do you wear a new pair of cleats every single week or.
Bijan Robinson
I don't.
Reed Blankenship
Do you, like, really?
Bijan Robinson
Yeah. So I. I have, like, five or six pair that I wear throughout the season, and then I'll just rotate because.
Reed Blankenship
Is it practice, too? Yeah, practice.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah, practice. Because I need to, like, feel it. Like, I need to really break into it.
Cooper DeJean
And I don't like wearing new cleats. Yeah, I like having something, you know, broken in. So I don't.
Bijan Robinson
I don't go through. So you don't have the same cleats, like, in. In. In the season?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I'm good. I wear the same, like, style I try to wear.
Reed Blankenship
I wear the same style. It's hard to wear the. I feel like after a couple uses it.
Bijan Robinson
Are the styles still in style like the do. Does the company still make the.
Cooper DeJean
So. So Nike used to have these vapor.
Reed Blankenship
The like vapor carbon ones, the little studs. Right.
Bijan Robinson
Oh, oh, hello.
Cooper DeJean
All the time. And they stop making them.
Bijan Robinson
I know. Nike is a brand problem.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, yeah, I know.
Bijan Robinson
Old school.
Cooper DeJean
Sorry. Boy.

Cooper DeJean
Bijan has his own mustard brand.
Bijan Robinson
I do.
Cooper DeJean
Bijan Mustardson.
Bijan Robinson
Yes, sir. Yes.
Cooper DeJean
Wow.
Reed Blankenship
What's the, like, what's the difference? So it tastes like Dijon mustard.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah. So it's Dijon mustard name on it and then we change it to Bijan.
Cooper DeJean
Okay.
Bijan Robinson
And so we have like the, we have the Dijon mustard. We have the honey mustard and the regular mustard now, but man, it's been, it's been something that I started like about four or five years ago and it's been.
Cooper DeJean
What do you, what's the, like the weirdest thing you think that you put mustard on?
Bijan Robinson
Do you eat the weirdest thing? Right.
Reed Blankenship
So you, you're a big mustard fan.
Bijan Robinson
I do like mustard. I Do. Absolutely. But not for, like, People use it for a lot of weird stuff. Like, I see fans, you know, just take the mustard and just gulp it, right? And I'm like, like, man, good for you, you know? Good for you. That's.
Reed Blankenship
That's crazy.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, I like that. With ranch, I think.
Cooper DeJean
Ranch?
Bijan Robinson
Are you serious?
Reed Blankenship
That or sweet baby rays.
Bijan Robinson
I mean, I put ranch on everything.
Reed Blankenship
Everything, bro.
Bijan Robinson
Spaghetti.
Reed Blankenship
Now, if I have. Listen, listen, listen. If I have spaghetti on my plate. You said spaghetti, right?
Bijan Robinson
So you.
Reed Blankenship
If I have spaghetti on my plate and say I have, like, a salad with ranch on it, and it mixes a little bit, it's not bad.
Bijan Robinson
So you just want. You just won't put the ranch on the spaghetti.
Reed Blankenship
I'll put ranch on the sp.
Bijan Robinson
Put the ranch on the spaghetti. Spaghetti bread.
Reed Blankenship
Now, have you had. This is off wall. What? Stir up on your eggs.
Bijan Robinson
Oh, absolutely not.
Cooper DeJean
Not on your eggs.
Bijan Robinson
On the eggs.
Reed Blankenship
Like, try.
Bijan Robinson
Really? Okay.
Cooper DeJean
Syrup or ketchup? On my eggs?
Bijan Robinson
Yeah. Ketchup? Yeah, I put ketchup on.
Reed Blankenship
Try syrup.
Cooper DeJean
All right, let's get in these. Quick hitters. Yeah, Quick, quick ones.
Bijan Robinson
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
Obviously, you play. You play running back.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Do you think the average person could gain 5 yards rushing in an NFL game?
Bijan Robinson
I absolutely do.
Reed Blankenship
Really?
Bijan Robinson
I mean, all right, I know y' all play defense, but, like, think about it.
Reed Blankenship
I'm thinking about it.
Bijan Robinson
I don't think about it.
Cooper DeJean
Line, too.
Bijan Robinson
It depends on the O line. So, okay, if an average person and they make a wide. A wide open hole, say, on a play action, I don't know, like a. Out a zone scheme or something, and there's a wide open hole, they could trip. Like, they could run two yards and trip and. And put the ball out and they gain five yards. All right, now, I mean, they might need a little bit of speed, a little bit.
Reed Blankenship
I respect that.
Bijan Robinson
But I don't know, man. That's. That's. That's kind of hard. Shoot.
Reed Blankenship
Funniest. Ish talker you've played against.
Bijan Robinson
Funny is trash. You know, it's weird. Not a lot of people talk trash because, you know, I played against both of y'. All. I'll say y'. All. Y' all know. I'll say a word on the field, bro. I am silent. Silent. But I'll probably have to say, could.
Cooper DeJean
Be on your team, too.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah. You just hear it.
Bijan Robinson
I'll probably say Kobe Bryant.
Reed Blankenship
Really?
Cooper DeJean
Okay.
Bijan Robinson
In college. And I see him in practice, and, bro, he, like. He brings it out of me. He brings it out. I don't know. I don't know what he brings out.
Reed Blankenship
Of me, but if somebody starts, you.
Bijan Robinson
Know what he doing, bro. So I'll probably say Kobe Bryant.
Cooper DeJean
All right, last one. Build. Your ultimate running back. Could be anybody, past or present.
Bijan Robinson
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
Speed, size, balance, vision, hands. All the things the running back needs.
Bijan Robinson
I'm going say speed. Chris Johnson.
Cooper DeJean
Okay.
Bijan Robinson
Like he. He was the guy. Size. I mean, you got to go Derrick Henry because he's. I know you body slammed him, but.
Reed Blankenship
I know you said it. Leave him out.
Bijan Robinson
He's balance.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, you got pretty good. I mean, I've seen you play. You got pretty good balance.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, you gotta throw yourself in there.
Bijan Robinson
But I'll probably say LT like Ladania Thompson and then. And then vision. Barry Sanders hands. There's a lot of great running backs I can catch. I would put myself in there.
Reed Blankenship
There we go.
Bijan Robinson
There we go. I'll probably put like a Marshall folk.
Cooper DeJean
Okay, okay.
Bijan Robinson
Or like CMC or somebody.
Reed Blankenship
Yep. All right.
Bijan Robinson
But yeah, man.
Cooper DeJean
That's it for our boy, Bijan Robinson. Appreciate you joining us on exciting mics.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah, appreciate it. Be on here with y'.
Cooper DeJean
All.
Bijan Robinson
Absolutely, absolutely. Yep.
Cooper DeJean
Let's give a warm welcome to Mary Crippen, the famous elementary school teacher shaping young minds in the classroom through NF Elementary.
Mary Crippen
You got it.
Cooper DeJean
There we go.
Mary Crippen
You got it.
Reed Blankenship
Ms. Mary has some probably hard hitting questions from her elementary class.
Mary Crippen
Yeah, I mean, these are. These are not questions from me. These are. And this is from elementary classes all over the country.
Reed Blankenship
All over the country.
Mary Crippen
So there's a bunch of classes now enrolled in elementary. Yeah. So are we ready to get into.
Cooper DeJean
Let's do it. Let's get into it.
Mary Crippen
All right. This one's from Shayra, 4th grade, North Dakota.
Cooper DeJean
Okay.
Mary Crippen
We're starting off easy.
Cooper DeJean
Midwest Shout out.
Mary Crippen
All right. What was your favorite school lunch?
Reed Blankenship
Oh, I know the. Is it rectangle pizza.
Mary Crippen
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
Really?
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Mary Crippen
Any sides with that?
Reed Blankenship
Like, they usually had, like, corn. I don't like that.
Mary Crippen
Now, were you a juice or a chocolate milk guy?
Cooper DeJean
Chocolate milk. Every single time.
Reed Blankenship
Chocolate milk. And then the Trumoo brand. You remember that? Like the low fat. I didn't really like that.
Mary Crippen
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Really?
Reed Blankenship
I started getting like, apple juice. But you remember those Gatorade cans?
Mary Crippen
No, my school didn't do that.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, we didn't have public school.
Reed Blankenship
We didn't do that.
Cooper DeJean
We didn't have juice either. We didn't have apple juice.
Reed Blankenship
Sorry. That's what I like.
Cooper DeJean
That's crazy.
Mary Crippen
How about you?
Cooper DeJean
My favorite probably the chicken nuggets with barbecue sauce.
Mary Crippen
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
Nuggets. Dipped in barbecue sauce. For some reason, the chicken nuggets at school were just hidden different for some reason.
Mary Crippen
True.
Cooper DeJean
And I usually got a couple of chocolate milks if my friends wanted me to hand. And hand me another one. I'd take another one. But chocolate milk was. Was the essential.
Mary Crippen
I mean, yeah, I put chocolate milk in the cereal.
Reed Blankenship
Really?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. Chocolate milk.
Mary Crippen
Frosted Flakes. So underrated.
Reed Blankenship
Milk in general.
Cooper DeJean
I'm not a big cereal milk in my cereal. I just eat the cereal dry.
Reed Blankenship
He is. Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
He gets that every day. You get more of the flavor, I think.
Mary Crippen
No, no, because then the milk after the cereal is all gone. It's like the flavors change.
Reed Blankenship
Okay, well, there's too much going into this.
Mary Crippen
In chocolate milk is like triple the chocolate.
Reed Blankenship
I don't like that. Too much chocolate.
Cooper DeJean
So you're a big, big cereal person.
Mary Crippen
Huge.
Cooper DeJean
We gotta get you some Coop scrunch. Oh, I got my own cereal.
Mary Crippen
Do you really?
Reed Blankenship
Come get an acne.
Mary Crippen
For real?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, we'll send you some. We'll make sure to send you some.
Mary Crippen
All right, ready for question number two?
Cooper DeJean
Yep.
Bijan Robinson
Let's do it.
Mary Crippen
Here we go. It's from Elijah, first grader, Pennsylvania.
Reed Blankenship
Ooh.
Bijan Robinson
Yay.
Cooper DeJean
Shout out.
Reed Blankenship
Yay.
Mary Crippen
Shout out. What did you guys like to play at recess?
Reed Blankenship
This is easy for me.
Cooper DeJean
We either were playing football, usually getting in trouble for tackling each other.
Mary Crippen
That's still true. Even this day and age.
Cooper DeJean
Or basketball.
Reed Blankenship
Dodgeball.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, dodgeball. Dodgeball at recess. I thought that was more of a physical education class.
Reed Blankenship
We didn't have recess. We had what? Yeah. What?
Mary Crippen
Yes, you did.
Reed Blankenship
No, I didn't.
Mary Crippen
Choir. No, no.
Cooper DeJean
Pe.
Reed Blankenship
That's what we called.
Cooper DeJean
Recess is like free time.
Mary Crippen
Yeah, recess is free time.
Reed Blankenship
I don't remember. Look, I went to school. I don't ever remember.
Cooper DeJean
Should we go to private school?
Reed Blankenship
No.
Mary Crippen
All of us are public school. Public school, public school.
Cooper DeJean
Public school, public school.
Mary Crippen
Shout out.
Reed Blankenship
Shout out.
Cooper DeJean
Shout out.
Reed Blankenship
I guess from Alabama. We do things different.
Cooper DeJean
Whatever.
Mary Crippen
All right, here we go. Next question. This is from Parker, fourth grade, Wisconsin.
Cooper DeJean
Wisconsin.
Mary Crippen
All right. If you could build a super team, who would be on it?
Cooper DeJean
Super team. Like football this.
Reed Blankenship
Like, who's in the NFL now?
Cooper DeJean
How many people are we picking here?
Mary Crippen
Let's go, Cube. I mean, whatever you want.
Cooper DeJean
All right, qb.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Mary Crippen
Qb.
Reed Blankenship
Is it who's playing now? Or like, anybody? Anybody. Oh, because we do it now, obviously.
Cooper DeJean
These are young kids, right?
Mary Crippen
Yeah, these are. I feel like you got to do.
Cooper DeJean
The now, because right now, Quarterback, I'm taking Jalen Hurts.
Mary Crippen
You can't okay, can we not pick all the people?
Cooper DeJean
All right, no Eagles. So no Eagles outside of the Eagles.
Mary Crippen
Yes.
Cooper DeJean
Okay. You pick quarterback.
Reed Blankenship
I gotta pick quarterback?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
Matt Stafford.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, that's a good one.
Mary Crippen
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
Quarterback, Matt Stafford. Running back. I'm gonna go Christian McCaffrey.
Reed Blankenship
Really?
Mary Crippen
After you just had Bijan sitting here?
Reed Blankenship
Yeah. All right.
Cooper DeJean
We can have two running backs.
Mary Crippen
You can.
Cooper DeJean
They're both like. They're both like receivers, you know?
Reed Blankenship
Going to put Bean at 2.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, we'll put Bean and CMC in there.
Mary Crippen
All right.
Reed Blankenship
All right. Who we going next? Receivers.
Cooper DeJean
Receivers. We'll go receivers.
Reed Blankenship
Receivers. Jamar Chase.
Cooper DeJean
Jamar Chase. Yeah, I like that one. Another receiver will go. Justin Jefferson.
Mary Crippen
All right. Ch.
Reed Blankenship
So.
Cooper DeJean
So one more receiver. One tight end. One receiver and one tight end. Let's get, like a fast guy, like a burner down the field. I was thinking like Jameson Williams or Tyree Kill.
Mary Crippen
Pre injury.
Reed Blankenship
Jmo. Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
All right, we'll take JMO and then tight end. Tight ends, trying to think here. Who's some.
Reed Blankenship
You have Tucker Kraft.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, yeah, he's a good one. Kincaid from the Bills.
Reed Blankenship
Knox, too.
Cooper DeJean
Dawson Knox. Yes. Ferguson. God, why can I not think of any tight ends right now?
Reed Blankenship
You're on the spot.
Cooper DeJean
I think I'm gonna go with Tucker Kraft.
Mary Crippen
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, he does it all. Blocks, catches.
Mary Crippen
If you guys like fantasy style, like, you know how you don't build your defense, you just pick a defense on fantasy. You can't pick the Eagles. What defense is your.
Reed Blankenship
That's crazy.
Cooper DeJean
I'll go with the. I'm gonna pick the Seahawks.
Reed Blankenship
Just like Seahawks. If you're going this year. Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Seahawks defense. All right, easy.
Mary Crippen
Love it. Here we go. We've got Leanna, second grade, from Missouri. She wants to know, what do you love in life?
Reed Blankenship
What do I love in the question?
Mary Crippen
Yeah, you got to think about that. You can think about that. What do you love in life?
Cooper DeJean
Wow. What do I love in life? I love the people that I have around me.
Mary Crippen
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
The game of football.
Mary Crippen
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
My Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Obviously. Yeah. But it's. I think life's about who's around you and the people that you have and the people you do things with. They keep you positive, keep you humble, keep you grounded. No matter how high you get, how low you get, they're always right there for you. So I think that's the keys surrounding yourself.
Reed Blankenship
Good answer, dude. Yeah.
Mary Crippen
That was touching.
Cooper DeJean
Thank you.
Reed Blankenship
Retweet. That was pretty good.
Mary Crippen
Is that you can't. But that can't be your answer.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
Why can't it not be.
Cooper DeJean
You gotta watch some stuff.
Mary Crippen
Yeah, you got.
Reed Blankenship
You have to, like, feel more specific. You're right.
Mary Crippen
What do you love in life?
Reed Blankenship
So, pretty much what everything Coop said, but plus, obviously, I got a new addition. My wife and now baby girl on the way.
Cooper DeJean
Baby girl.
Reed Blankenship
That's going to open up a whole different life for me. I mean, it already has the amount of clothes we already have, so.
Cooper DeJean
Girl, dad.
Reed Blankenship
And the target trips my wife talks about with her all the time, so I'm in for a ride. But, you know, that's what. That's what I like.
Cooper DeJean
That's what I love, so I love it. Have you helped pick out. Pick out any of the clothes for the. The girl with a little baby?
Reed Blankenship
Well, I tried, but she's. She'll, like, sometimes snarl her nose, whatever. I'm like, oh, okay. I thought this was cute.
Cooper DeJean
You think you're going to ever be able to tell her no?
Reed Blankenship
No.
Mary Crippen
Absolutely not. Dads and daughters, just.
Cooper DeJean
You're in for a long ride, buddy.
Reed Blankenship
There's no way that's. That's your job, to tell her no or. You're the fine uncle.
Cooper DeJean
You tell her no. I'll say yes to everything. How about that?
Reed Blankenship
No, that'll work.
Cooper DeJean
She's going to be spoiled.
Mary Crippen
As she should. Yeah, as she should. All right, you ready for our last one?
Cooper DeJean
Last one.
Mary Crippen
Now, this is just a Coop question.
Cooper DeJean
Coop.
Mary Crippen
Coop question.
Reed Blankenship
Uh. Oh, I'm not gonna help on this, too.
Mary Crippen
Hey, you can have some input. Whatever. I mean, you ready?
Bijan Robinson
This is.
Mary Crippen
This is from cambry. She's in 8th grade from South Dakota.
Cooper DeJean
South Dakota. Fun fact. I was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Mary Crippen
Okay, Fun fact.
Cooper DeJean
Shout out.
Mary Crippen
Shout out. South Dakota, Midwest. Now, Cambry wants to know who is your celebrity crush?
Cooper DeJean
Oh, my gosh, guys.
Mary Crippen
Why? Oh, my gosh.
Cooper DeJean
Guys, I have.
Reed Blankenship
You have a lot?
Mary Crippen
Is that what you're gonna say? You have a lot. We gotta Rank em. Top 5 power ranking of your celebrity crushes.
Reed Blankenship
Do we know there is five, or is there more?
Cooper DeJean
All right, I'm gonna. Can I throw out a couple?
Mary Crippen
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
Sydney Sweeney.
Reed Blankenship
Oh.
Cooper DeJean
I don't know if Puka's already, like. Sounds like he already shot his shot with her.
Reed Blankenship
I mean, so shot is shot. You can shoot your shot, too.
Mary Crippen
I think Cambry would want you to shoot your shot with Sydney Sweeney and Tate McCrae. Okay.
Cooper DeJean
And then there's probably.
Mary Crippen
Is that a 1A 1B type of situation?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, we'll put 1A1.
Mary Crippen
All right, all right, all right, all right.
Reed Blankenship
Who's 1A who's 1B?
Cooper DeJean
Oh, no, we can't.
Reed Blankenship
I mean, we can.
Mary Crippen
We absolutely can.
Cooper DeJean
We'll go. Sydney Sweeney, 1 1A. Tay McCrae, 1B.
Reed Blankenship
You're hilarious. I like it.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Is that all, Is that all the questions? You got the hard hitting questions.
Mary Crippen
That's the hard hitting.
Cooper DeJean
I didn't know they were gonna get like that straight from the kids. We appreciate you joining us.
Mary Crippen
I appreciate it.
Cooper DeJean
Thanks for. Thanks, kids, for all the hard hitting questions.
Mary Crippen
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
And Ms. Mary for joining us on the podcast.
Reed Blankenship
Absolutely.
Mary Crippen
Good luck next season, guys.
Cooper DeJean
Thank you.
Reed Blankenship
Thank you.
Cooper DeJean
Appreciate it. All right, we're here with 2025 Doak Walker Award winner, unanimous all American and Heisman finalist from Notre Dame, Jeremiah Love. Appreciate you. Appreciate you joining us on exciting mics our podcast. Is this your first time? This your first time at Radio Row?
Jeremiah Love
No, it's my second time.
Cooper DeJean
Second time, yeah. Oh, you're big time. You're big time. That's awesome. So you recently declared for the draft. Talk, talk about that a little bit. Did. Did you have another year to go back?
Jeremiah Love
I did, yeah.
Kyle McCarthy
Were you thinking about it at all or you were.
Jeremiah Love
Nah, my time was over, man.
Reed Blankenship
How many years? How many years you stay there, huh?
Cooper DeJean
Three years.
Jeremiah Love
Three years? Yes, sir.
Bijan Robinson
Yes.
Cooper DeJean
Three years.
Kyle McCarthy
Three years.
Cooper DeJean
What do you think you can add to an NFL running back room next season?
Jeremiah Love
Versatility? You know, I'm willing to do whatever you need me to do, whether that's block, run, catch the ball. You know, I'm gonna do whatever I gotta do for the team to have success or to win games. You know, I'm just, I'm a team guy. I'm ready to do whatever I gotta do.
Reed Blankenship
I love that he's humble. I love that Swiss army night.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, for sure.
Reed Blankenship
So who are some of the guys you've looked up to in the league, like now?
Jeremiah Love
Jameer Gibbs, one of the guys that, like, I just love to watch. He's a great running back. I mean, Saquon Barkley, I feel like two years ago with the Eagles, like, did something for running backs that just, just propelled us to the future, you know, like, I mean, just set a great standard for running backs. And then Ash and Jinte last year, you know, just continuing to just elevate running backs, you know, just put us in a brighter light. And Bijan as well.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, I mean, there's some dogs, three.
Cooper DeJean
Good running backs right there. You had to. If you had to build the perfect running back, if you had speed, size, balance, vision, hands, all those things, who would you pick? For each. Each one of those, if you were building your perfect running back.
Jeremiah Love
So for speed, I definitely go Jir Gibbs. Size, Derrick Henry. Balance. Balance.
Cooper DeJean
You could throw yourself in there, too, if you want.
Jeremiah Love
I got great balance, so I'd probably put me in there. Vision. I go with Naji Harris. Hands, definitely. Probably Alvin Camaro.
Cooper DeJean
Alvin Camara. Good ones. Some good ones right there. All guys are still in the league today, so obviously the draft's coming up. Combine's coming up. But do you have a plan for the NFL draft? Will you be going to the draft, or will you have your own party? And who will you. Who will you be with?
Jeremiah Love
I'm not really sure what I'll be doing yet, honestly.
Cooper DeJean
Planned out.
Jeremiah Love
Not planned out yet. I mean, like, I hope to go to the draft, but at the end of the day, like, there are so many people that's been a part of this journey with me, and I want everybody to, like, be able to be there. So not sure if I'll go or if I'll, you know, go somewhere so that everybody can celebrate, but, I mean, I'll definitely be with my mom, my dad. Hopefully my best friend can be there. I was Granddad, everybody.
Cooper DeJean
I was the same way. I. I mean, I thought about going to the draft, but you think about all the people you got around you, and that if.
Reed Blankenship
Sure.
Cooper DeJean
That gets stressed, too, getting to that.
Reed Blankenship
So many people.
Bijan Robinson
So I just.
Cooper DeJean
I just did it at home.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
I was able to be with all my people.
Jeremiah Love
So you wish that you could have went to the draft day? Do you wish that you would have went?
Cooper DeJean
I mean, with what happened in the draft, I'm glad I didn't go.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Because I thought I was gonna go on the first day, but I ended up going on the second day, so it was probably better that I didn't go. So it was. Maybe it was fine.
Kyle McCarthy
Yeah, it worked.
Jeremiah Love
It worked out.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
But who you got this week?
Cooper DeJean
Super Bowl, Seahawks? Patriots?
Jeremiah Love
I'm probably gonna go with the Seahawks.
Cooper DeJean
Seahawks, yeah.
Jeremiah Love
He's got a great team. Great defense.
Cooper DeJean
Great defense. Good team. You think it's gonna be low scoring or high scoring?
Jeremiah Love
Got a low scoring game?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Jeremiah Love
Pretty low. I think so.
Cooper DeJean
I agree.
Reed Blankenship
I agree. It's a defensive game, man.
Cooper DeJean
Defensive game for sure. So you get. Get guys like this on your team.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Jeremiah Love

Cooper DeJean

Reed Blankenship
Is it?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, it is.
Kyle McCarthy
Man, this is. This is cool.
Cooper DeJean
So Mr. Kyle McCarthy is me and Reed Blankenship's agent. And what.
Bijan Robinson
So what it.
Cooper DeJean
What were your thoughts initially on us filming the podcast? Be really honest.
Reed Blankenship
Be honest.
Kyle McCarthy
I mean, keeping it real. You know, I had my hesitations. I was a little concerned. I was a little concerned. You know, I care about you guys and you know the name. I was a little concerned about the name.
Jeremiah Love
Yes.
Kyle McCarthy
You know, because you guys are great players. You know, you don't need any of this other noise. But I. I will admit it. You guys have exceeded expectations. The whole production, the whole production.
Cooper DeJean
We got a great crew around us, you know, so they've, they have.
Kyle McCarthy
We got the A1 team, the goat for team. We got everyone.
Cooper DeJean
Everybody, good people shout out you. Have you been enjoying your super bowl week?
Kyle McCarthy
Yeah, well, you know, we had the Pro Bowl, Pro bowl start the week, which is cool and obviously different this time around. Always a good experience. And then, yeah, we're in the super bowl week now. We got a big, big thing in A one block.
Reed Blankenship
I'm new to that.
Kyle McCarthy
Oh, it's gonna be cool.
Cooper DeJean
It's gonna be our first year doing this.
Reed Blankenship
Oh yeah, you weren't able.
Kyle McCarthy
You guys were kind of busy last year.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, we were a little busy.
Jeremiah Love
Yeah.
Kyle McCarthy
So.
Cooper DeJean
But yeah, now, now we got. We're about to have on another guy who you know very well, Mr. Jeremiah Love here soon fellow elite Notre Dame. He's Elite Eilish, Elite running back.
Kyle McCarthy
He.
Cooper DeJean
He's the number one running back in the NFL draft coming up this year.
Kyle McCarthy
He's as good of a player that I've seen off like a running back. I've seen in person since Reggie Bush. I. I really think he's really.
Reed Blankenship
Wow.
Kyle McCarthy
He's that good. Yeah, I know that's high praise, but at least my own two eyes, what I've seen. Now, listen, Bijan's incredible. I'm not saying, you know, he's pretty.
Cooper DeJean
They're almost like very similar players.
Reed Blankenship
Is that similar? You would compare them to Bijan, or would you more compare them to Reggie?
Kyle McCarthy
I mean, I. I would say that Bijan and Reggie have some similarities, too, you know, but. But as far as, like, in person, I mean, you know, that was back when I played, you know.
Reed Blankenship
Right.
Kyle McCarthy
Played against Reggie. It was.
Cooper DeJean
You played against Reggie Busch?
Kyle McCarthy
Yeah, man. Notre Dame. Busch, Bush.
Reed Blankenship
Know.
Kyle McCarthy
I'm old, bro.
Cooper DeJean
You were in that game?
Kyle McCarthy
Yeah. Wait, OG I told you. Og. OG Exciting.
Cooper DeJean
Did you have to make an open field tackle on him or.
Kyle McCarthy
No, no, I certainly didn't. I. I made a highlight one time against Percy Harvin, though. Percy Harvin.
Cooper DeJean
Shout out. Percy Harvin?
Kyle McCarthy
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
No, no, I used to watch him. I was for the Minnesota Vikings.
Kyle McCarthy
Yeah, I was on his highlights.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, yeah?
Kyle McCarthy
Yeah, yeah. It was bad.
Cooper DeJean
Okay, but who do you think the best player is that that you played against? For reference, Mr. Kyle McCarthy played at the University of Notre Dame and played in the NFL for five, four. Four seasons. Played.
Kyle McCarthy
Played as a loose term. I was, like, on the team, you know, I was like a back end of the roster, P squad, active, hurt, like, you know, one of those guys.
Cooper DeJean
Who's the best player you played against, though? You think.
Kyle McCarthy
Maybe Reggie? Calvin Johnson? Calvin Johnson was a G. Do you.
Cooper DeJean
Have to cover Calvin Johnson?
Kyle McCarthy
No, I. I mean, like Brian Dawkins and Champ Bailey do that stuff, but, you know, I just cheered on from the sidelines.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, that's.
Reed Blankenship
That's good.
Cooper DeJean
Good teammate. Great.
Kyle McCarthy
I was a great teammate. Yeah, great teammate.
Cooper DeJean
Love that.
Kyle McCarthy
Very supportive.
Cooper DeJean
We appreciate you joining us on. On the podcast, though.
Kyle McCarthy
Is it on? Yeah, no, this is on. I obviously watch it all the time.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I'm sure you do.
Reed Blankenship
You know, make sure we don't say anything crazy.
Kyle McCarthy
No, yeah, yeah, exactly. It's like, dude, I want you guys to get in trouble. You know, just go. Go get ready. Play on Saturday or Sunday.
Cooper DeJean
Sunday after. Well, it's been an honor.
Reed Blankenship
I was gonna say, if you want to go to the agent for a week.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Kyle McCarthy
You want to get agent.
Cooper DeJean
We're about to have your boy on.
