Got back in the wincom, that's big time against a really good opponent. So it's always good to win in this. In this league. You know, we. We know how hard it is to. To win, and especially on the road. Especially on the road.

Yep. But my little, little brother Jax made his first start at quarterback. He's been playing receiver this year, but he made his first start at quarterback, put up four touchdowns.

[Reed Blankenship]

You play quarterback too, right?

[Cooper Dean]

I did play quarterback in my back, in my high school days. The offense looked a little different when I was playing quarterback.

[Reed Blankenship]

No, you can't be saying that.

[Cooper Dean]

It didn't look different. Just the way I play quarterback is different than the way Jax plays quarterback.

[Reed Blankenship]

Why? Why is it different? How's it different?

[Cooper Dean]

I mean, I. I think I threw the ball a little bit more than he did. He. They use him more as a runner, but he still does throw it before touchdowns. Pretty solid start. I think there was a couple times we caught him reaching for the end zone. So we're gonna have to get him out of that habit.

[Reed Blankenship]

What not to do. Tape.

[Cooper Dean]

Yep. So we're gonna have to get him out of that habit. But they start the playoffs this week. So crazy.

[Reed Blankenship]

I forgot how fast high school ball goes by.

[Cooper Dean]

I know. Eight games, I think. And then they're.

It's eight for us. Eight. And then the playoffs.

I'll say. The atmosphere in Minnesota was pretty. It's pretty sick.

[Cooper Dean]

It's pretty cool. It was sick. It was pretty. Pretty cool. The way I started off. Start off the game with that. They blow that.

[Reed Blankenship]

The horn.

[Cooper Dean]

Well, Viking horn.

[Reed Blankenship]

Yeah.

[Cooper Dean]

That's pretty sweet. And then everybody starts doing the skull chant together.

[Reed Blankenship]

Was that the first time you've been there, or have you been there before?

[Cooper Dean]

No. So I actually. I grew up a Vikings fan, but I never been one to a game until, like, it was a couple months before the draft, actually. I was back home, and I had went up to Minnesota to go to the Vikings Lions game. So that was my first time in. In that stadium. And watching a Vikings game live, it's pretty sweet.

[Reed Blankenship]

That was the first time I was ever in that I didn't even know the windows could open like that.

[Cooper Dean]

Yeah, they have, like, these big.

[Reed Blankenship]

I mean, you can kind of see in the picture.

[Cooper Dean]

Yeah, the picture back there, they're like big revolving doors that open up in. In the end zones, which. Which is pretty sweet. It's probably one of the best stadiums I've. I've played in.

[Reed Blankenship]

I'm. I would. I would have to agree to that. This definitely my top stadium I've ever been in and played. Yeah.

[Cooper Dean]

Yeah, it was really nice stadium. Really good atmosphere. A lot of Eagles fans.

[Reed Blankenship]

A lot of Eagles fans.

[Cooper Dean]

A lot of Eagles fans, which is cool to see.

[Reed Blankenship]

You can kind of tell. You can kind of tell how the game's going to be. Like, when we run out, you hear more chance than booze. So you're like, okay, the fam's all here.

[Cooper Dean]

And, and even pregame, like, all the Eagles fans are aligned along the. The railing in. In the end zone and stuff where we were warmed up. So that was cool. But they. Yeah, it was good game for the boys. Came away with a win, obviously led by Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz, Yeah.

[Reed Blankenship]

How much did you know about him coming in, though?

[Cooper Dean]

I actually remember watching him when he was in. In college.

[Reed Blankenship]

Oh, really?

[Cooper Dean]

At North Dakota State. Remember watching him play. And then obviously, you know, he went to the Eagles and everything, and then now he's kind of bounced around and now he's been. Been with the Vikings this. This year, so. But yeah, he's. I mean, he's a playmaker. Makes plays with his feet.

[Reed Blankenship]

Yeah, he's underrated. He's underrated scrambler, in my opinion.

[Cooper Dean]

Yeah, I think so, too. Veteran. Veteran quarterback, obviously. So he's been. He's been around the game a little bit, but Art, I thought our defense did a good job of, you know, getting. Putting pressure on him. There's times we. We gave us some scramble lanes, allowed him to scramble for some yards, but, you know, for the most part, our. Our guys up front were putting a lot of pressure on him, which was. Which was huge for. For us in the back end, especially with the guys that they have caused the pick six. Yep.

[Reed Blankenship]

I mean, JC just wrecked that play.

[Cooper Dean]

Yeah, JC with the pressure on the quarterback, and then Jalex, you know, dropping out right into the window where he wanted to throw it and threw it right to him. And a few plays later got a touchdown. And then a few plays later, Drew's.

[Reed Blankenship]

Just in the right spot, man.

[Cooper Dean]

Andrew Makuba getting his second pick of the season for the rook. How about it?

[Reed Blankenship]

Dude, I didn't. I thought Q hit him. That's why I was like, so freaked out. Like, get up, get up, get up.

From my point of view, I thought Q hit him instead of whoever it was. Yeah.

I was hoping we get a return, but I really thought he was going to throw it back across the field to me, but shoot, me too. He. He took, took the deep shot and Drew made a good play.

They'Re. I mean, they had six red zone trips and only one touchdown. It's huge. It's good red zone defense.

[Reed Blankenship]

Yeah.

Says a lot, but know it'd be better if we. If we could just not let them down there and.

Yeah, that's the best reds on defense.

That is the best reds on defense when we don't let them down there.

But when you let them down there and it's time to. To nut up and don't. Don't give them anything.

Yep, we. We did that. You know, we did that. And like I said, the pass rush helped us out a lot in the back end. Obviously they had, you know, Jefferson and Jordan Addison and T.J. hockinson.

Those guys, you know, so when you don't give. When you give the. When you don't give the quarterback enough time to read the whole field and, you know, find his guys, you know, that's. It's always, always good and always helps, you know, us in the back end.

Then AJ he found AJ A couple times, obviously on the first drive of the game where he was in a scramble drill, AJ Turns it up. Field on a linebacker and gets loose for a TUD and. And then.

Yeah, it's crazy the way those guys can catch the ball, you know, especially in. In traffic is. Is huge different man, for our offense.

I believe the play that mattered most would be the pick six.

I mean, just because it was a huge momentum swing and you score on the defensive side of the ball. I mean, that's huge.

[Cooper Dean]

Yeah, I think any, anytime you score on, on defense, it's. It's huge for a momentum swing in the game for, for any team, you know, and that was a huge. Obviously with JC getting the pressure and good hit on the quarterback. Jalex catching the ball and running into the end zone was, was huge for us. I think you could also throw in AJ's third down deep ball at the end of the game to kind of, kind of seal the game. The slant and go, I think was another. Was another big play. But you know, those two plays were huge for us in, in that game. To help us come out the win.

So I know a lot of people who are going to be you two for Halloween. So I was curious about what your guys costumes are going to be.

I didn't even think about this, man.

I always like doing like a funny costume though.

Yeah. You know, can't do something too serious.

Even though, I don't know, I'd like to be the Joker.

I could be Batman. You could be Robin.

That would be sick. I don't know what I'm gonna be for Halloween.

Or we could be step brothers.

We could be stepbrothers. Maybe next week we'll just pull up on the pod and in some and.

Surprise everybody with some Halloween costumes.

So I'm trying to top one from like two years ago. My friend and I were Frozone and Mr. Incredible and that went over really, really well. And I don't really know how to top it. So we're trying to figure it out.

I wore, I actually wore Mr. Incredible costume to high school back in the day.

[Reed Blankenship]

The fake muscles in there.

[Cooper Dean]

Yeah. When we had, I guess they let us dress up one year for, or maybe it was during homecoming week or something like that. It was like superhero day or something like that. So I wore Mr. Incredible.

[Reed Blankenship]

I wish I had any, an idea for you, but I'm sure there's plenty of them on TikTok.

[Cooper Dean]

Yeah, I'm sure you'll find something. But we, we appreciate you joining us today.
