In the first episode of Exciting Mics, Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship go behind the scenes of the Eagles’ Super Bowl parade, share a hilarious draft night prank, and debate whether an NFL team could beat a gorilla. It’s the perfect mix of locker room stories, Philly culture, and pure chaos.

Cooper
Winning team from 2024 versus one gorilla win?
Reed
Now you take, I feel like you take the average human being.
Cooper
I think I'm talking to average.
Reed
I know, but I'm putting this in perspective. Like you don't have the Jordan Mulatto, the, the Lane Johnson's, the Saquon Barkley of the, you know, like average human beings. I don't know.
Cooper
Some of the big guys up first circle. We circle, circle the gorilla and come at it at once. So we'll have a circle of guys and then another circle.
Reed
Where is this fight being?
Cooper
And then another circle where we were we doing this?
Reed
Is it a close area? Like we doing it in like a gym?
Cooper
I feel like it's got to be out in the wild.
Reed
And if I think we got them.
Cooper
If the gorilla runs away, then obviously.
Reed
We ain't got nowhere to run. We going to get them.
Cooper
Welcome to Exciting Mice, our new show.
Reed

Cooper
M I C s We're going to do a little segment each and every week talking about what is exciting that we did or that we saw during the past week or our weekends.
Reed
I'm a big country music guy and there's this new up and coming artist and his name is Zach Top.
Cooper
Shout out, Zach Top.
Reed
Shout out, Zach Top. And he sounds a little like Alan Jackson. That was pretty exciting for me. Me and my fiance and one of my teammates in Philly. In Philly at the Fillmore.
Cooper
Nice.
Reed
Never been to the Fillmore before. His first time.
Cooper
That's pretty exciting.
Reed
What about you?
Cooper
My exciting moment. I got to go to the Kentucky Derby this past weekend.
Reed
Probably get to meet any of the horses.
Cooper
I didn't meet any of the horses.
Reed
Now, like, shake their hand or anything.
Cooper
No, no, no. But I. I got to see him up close.
Reed
Like, who gets the credit? You know, like, deep thought. Like, who gets the credit? Like, like, is it the horse or is it the rider?
Cooper
I think, I think it's. It's a team, just like football, you know, it's. I think you gotta. You got a trainer, you got an owner, and you kind of a lot of moving parts.
Reed
Right.
Cooper
You got the horse.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
And you got the jockey.
Reed
Would you go again?
Cooper
I can go back again? Yeah.
Reed
Would you go every year?
Cooper
It's probably one of the best sporting events I've been to.
Reed
Really?
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
Wow.
Cooper
We're have to get you there next year.
Reed
Yeah, I'll have to bring the horse in there.
Cooper
Now we're going to get into some quick hitters. First question, could the Philadelphia Eagles, super bowl winning team from 2024 versus one gorilla win?
Reed
Now, I had a conversation about this the other day.
Cooper
This is a big topic right now.
Reed
I know it's a big topic right now. I feel like you take the average human being, I think I'm not talking to average. I know, but I'm putting this in perspective. You don't have the Jordan Maladas, the. The Lane Johnson's, the Saquan Barkley of the. You know, like average human beings. I don't know. I mean, I've seen King Kong. I know King Kong was totally different, but he beat up Godzilla. Okay, but I don't think that's a.
Cooper
Totally gorilla that big. Like, I mean, I mean, obviously it's bigger than a human. Is it?
Reed
I mean, like, gorillas don't lift weights though. But I think I Think that I. I think though that I. Yeah, we can.
Cooper
I take our. Now, I don't know, take our team over anybody.
Reed
Yeah. I don't know who's going to be in the back, you know, saying, go do it. You know, I let like, Jordan Lotta and then do it.
Cooper
No, I'd definitely get on.
Reed
No, you wouldn't.
Cooper
Yes, I would.
Reed
No, you wouldn't. There's no way. If there's a girl, if there's a gorilla sitting there in front of you, you're not gonna be the first one to go hit them.
Cooper
I'm not gonna be the first one, but I'm not gonna sit in the back and watch.
Reed
I don't know, man.
Cooper
It takes. It's gonna take a whole squad. It can't.
Reed
I know.
Cooper
One on one.
Reed
I know the thing's been saying, like.
Cooper
But you think we could win, though?
Reed
Yeah. So we're taking everybody on the team.
Cooper
Yeah. I say we mix. I say we mix it in. We go some of the big guys up first. We circle the. Circle the gorilla and come at it at once.
Reed
Okay, that also brings up another thought. Hold on.
Cooper
So we'll have a circle of guys and then another circle.
Reed
Where's this fight being?
Cooper
And then another circle.
Reed
Where we. Where are we doing this? Is it a close area? Like, we doing it in, like a gym? Dude's going to. Dude's gonna have to get tired. I feel like we got him.
Cooper
I feel like it's got to be out in the wild. And if.
Reed
I think we got him, if the.
Cooper
Gorilla runs away, then obviously we win.
Reed
Got nowhere to run. We gonna get him. We got him.
Cooper
Yeah, we got him. You're still sticking with your decision of staying in the back?
Reed
No, I'm not staying. Nobody said I was in the back.
Cooper
You said you were gonna sit.
Reed
You would sit in the back and watch me. Yes.
Cooper
I would not.
Reed
Yes, you would.
Cooper
I'd be. I'd be right.
Reed
I think you would.
Cooper
Be up there. I think Q would be up there. The most important position group in this.
Reed
Fight, I think D line.
Cooper
I think. I think it's got to be the lineman got to. I mean, I've seen. I've seen Jalen Carter move past.
Reed
You got Jordan Davis. You got Jalen Carter.
Cooper
I mean, not that they're trying to move past.
Reed
You got at Josh Sweat at the time. Wait, this is.
Cooper
Yes.
Reed
This is Super Bowl. This is a real winning team. Yeah. You got Nolan Smith. That can set an edge. Mofo. He don't care.
Cooper
He don't care.
Reed
But yeah, we got him.
Cooper
We're. We're. I got us for sure. I got us over anybody, especially a gorilla. Yeah, 100, everybody would be valid.
Reed
Let me see that golden leg, man. Start kicking.
Cooper
Kick him right.
Reed
Kick him. Him and Braden.
Cooper
You know what? All right. What's your favorite cheesesteak, dude? Talk to me.
Reed
There. I think I've had Angelos. A bite or two of Angelo's.
Cooper
What, you've never had a full cheesesteak?
Reed
I don't think so. I think I've had a bit like. Like I said, a body or two. But I hear a lot of good things about John's.
Cooper
John's roast pork is good, too.
Reed
John roast pork's pretty good. I haven't had it.
Cooper
Gino's.
Reed
You said John roast pork.
Cooper
No. What'd you say? What?
Reed
I said, John roast pork and Angelo. There's this place in Northern Liberty, it's called Joe Steaks. It's pretty good.
Cooper
I've never had it before.
Reed
It's really good.
Cooper
Cheesesteak I've had. Was from Angelo's now. And you know what's a really good cheesesteak? What? Barclay Prime.
Reed
Really?
Cooper
You ever been there?
Reed
No. Ain't that, like a fancy restaurant, or am I just tripping?
Cooper
I don't know. It's kind of. It's wagyu, so.
Reed
It's so. It's like that soft. That soft stuff.
Cooper
Yeah. The bread's not as good as.
Reed
So, like, you like. You like seeded bread or like, just regular white?
Cooper
I like whatever they give me.
Reed
Okay.
Cooper
I like the seated. Yeah, the seated's fine.
Reed
Now, since your name is Cooper, do you like different kind of cheeses on it?
Cooper
I like that Cooper Sharp on it.
Reed
Really?
Cooper
Gotta have the Cooper sharp.
Reed
I don't think I've ever had it like that.
Cooper
Shout out. To shout out Cooper cheese. You gotta. You gotta try it.
Reed
You gotta give me some.
Cooper
You definitely have, though. Sake. I thought that was, like, most of cheesesteaks.
Reed
Really?
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
That's shocking to me now. What about the peppers? I don't like them.
Cooper
I don't. I get mine playing.
Reed
You know what's crazy? My first year here, so I was like, there's no way I like a cheesesteak, dude. I think it honestly took me a whole year until 23 to. To try cheesesteak. And now I'm freaking, dude.
Cooper
I can eat it every day.
Reed
And now I'm freaking, dude.
Cooper
I could eat it every day.
Reed
Addicted.
Cooper
I could eat it every day.
Reed
But no, we got. We are on a weight loss program.
Cooper
And I said, I got to keep my weight now.
Reed
We can talk about your problems later. What is your favorite? Like Philly slang?
Cooper
Philly slang.
Reed
I don't even know if I can say half of them right.
Cooper
I think some people, when they come up to me, they'll. They'll be like, they'll say, go Birds head. You heard that one?
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Lot of people.
Reed
Yeah, a lot of people.
Cooper
I don't know if we can put that in there.
Reed
It's like a lot of people said, that's like, I like John.
Cooper
John's probably one of my favorite because John.
Reed
Is that how you say it?
Cooper
John?
Reed
Did you say John or John?
Cooper
John?
Reed
It's John.
Cooper
John.
Reed
Wow. I might have to be fact checked on that. I don't know.
Cooper
De John.
Reed
Wish that my name has. That's pretty sick.
Cooper
Water.
Reed
Dude, when I tell you I have never in my entire life heard water be pronounced something totally different.
Cooper
Me neither. Water. Is it Philly people or is it people from south? Like, south.
Reed
Is it just like the. The region is in general.
Cooper
Is it Philly? Philly too.
Reed
And I. I'm not.
Cooper
I'm not Philly, South Jersey. It's water. Water to water to them.
Reed
But like, the first time I. I heard it, I'm like, what?
Cooper
What did you say?
Reed
What? But you got me from Alabama and water.
Cooper
Alabama water.
Reed
So I did a 23andMe, right? So.
Cooper
I heard this story 10 times.
Reed
It's pretty cool, though.
Cooper
The people need to know, though, so.
Reed
People need to know. So there was like a time probably. God, when was I talking about? Was that during the season? No, when I was like, talk. Two weeks ago you told me this again, randomly random. There's a show on Netflix called Vikings and there's this Viking. His name is Ragnar Lothbrok. Dude, sick. Sick. Had those tattoos on the side of like. Like a Viking would look, you know? And I did the 23andMe, right? Shout out to my in laws for the present. I don't know if they were just trying to see what I am or what, but it came back said like, I was. I'm so. I'm exaggerating a little bit, but I'm probably like 85% Viking, bro.
Cooper
85, dude.
Reed
I. I'm up there.
Cooper
You told me the last time it.
Reed
Was like 10 still Viking.
Cooper
That's so every time I watch a.
Reed
Show, I'm like, dang. That's like, I'll give that to you. My ancestors. Not really, though.
Cooper
But fun fact, fun fact about Reed Blankenship. He's claims to be 85% Viking.
Reed
You never know. How do you know? Like how do you know? It's just not how do I know? I mean, I, I sent it off. It's a DNA test.
Cooper
And now the government's got all your DNA.
Reed
Well, they already have it when I was born. That's why I got a Social Security number.

So we're going to be checking out some local spots, rating the food. We're going to have a scorecard. We're going to sign it. Hopefully we'll, we'll get it up at the restaurant. But today we got Skinny Joey's, a new Philly cheesesteak spot. We're gonna try it out and rate.
Reed
It and rate it. Yo, Skinny Joey's Yeah, right here, brother. Yeah, let's go enjoy it. Thank you.
Cooper
All right, open her.
Reed
Opening. Something from Christmas.
Cooper
Nice. They got stickers on it too. Skinny Joey's cheesesteaks.
Reed
Can we eat on this couch?
Cooper
Oh, I like the bread already.
Reed
Smells good.
Cooper
I like the bread. Looks crispy.
Reed
Oh, don't you love how, like, compact?
Cooper
I love it. I just love everything about a cheesesteak.
Reed
Now, presentation, what do you think?
Cooper
I mean, the presentation's good. I like it. I like the bread. The bread.
Reed
I don't know why I'm smelling it. I mean, smells good.
Cooper
What's up? Is this just like a plain cheesesteak? What do we got on here? Just cheese and so you ready? Cooper Sharp. Cooper Sharp. We got the Cooper Sharp in here. This is the first time Skinny jellies, right?
Reed
It's the first time for me.
Cooper
Skinny jellies. Shout out. Joey.
Reed
You carry away. All right, here we go. All right. Cheers it.
Cooper
Yeah. This is your first time having Cooper Sharp too?
Reed
I think so.
Cooper
Yeah. Skinny Joeys. Here we go.
Reed
Here we go.
Cooper
Taste test. Cheers, my brother.
Reed
Mm. Oh, my God.
Cooper
Mm.
Reed
Hey.
Cooper
I like this bread too.
Reed
Love the bread. Now, I think the Cooper Sharp is freaking phenomenal.
Cooper
Thank you.
Reed
I'm not even talking to the mic. I'm sorry.
Cooper
Shout out Cooper Cheese.
Reed
Mesmerized. Dude.
Cooper
That'S a good. That's a good cheesesteak. The bread. The bread is really good. I like the bread.
Reed
Phenomenal.
Cooper
You got too much in your mouth.
Reed
Pause. I do.
Cooper
What. What's your rating here? Are you rating Skinny Joeys?
Reed
Dude, I might have to give it like a May. Like a 8.2.
Cooper
8.2.
Reed
Dude, it's freaking good. I'm not, like. I'm telling you right now, the br.
Cooper
So you're setting. You're setting the standard?
Reed
I'm setting the standard high or the.
Cooper
For the bar of.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Of all the foods that we're like. I feel like that's pretty critical score. I don't know. I feel like it's better than an 8.2, but you feel like it's better.
Reed
8.2.
Cooper
I think I. I think the bread's the key because the bread is really good.
Reed
Now if I open my sandwich and I see how it's compact like that, I think I'm already. That's already a plus for me.
Cooper
But I think they could pack more steak in here.
Reed
No. You don't want too much?
Cooper
I'd like. I love a lot of steak.
Reed
So you think?
Cooper
Okay.
Reed
You don't. I think it's the perfect ratio, in my opinion.
Cooper
I think. I think you get a little more steak in here and a little more falling out cheese.
Reed
Love. Love the goo. Like, do that. I like cheese.
Cooper
I like.
Reed
Don't be scared.
Cooper
A little more cheese and a little more steak.
Reed
I think I'm good with the steak.
Cooper
All right. But you said 8.2.
Reed
I said 8.2.
Cooper
I mean, I'd probably go. You're saying 8.2. I mean, dude, it's good. All right.
Reed
I mean, we're two different people with two different taste buds, so you can go ahead.
Cooper
8.2. I'll go 8.3, man.
Reed
Dude, it's. It's honestly really good.
Cooper
Nah, I can't go anywhere. I feel like it's an 8.6.
Reed
Really?
Cooper
8.6 on my scale.
Reed
I like it.
Cooper
It's really good. Yeah, keep eating it.
Reed
I know. I'm freaking good.
Cooper
8.6 on my scale. 8.2 on Reed's scale. Reed claims it's really good, but he gave it an 8.2.
Reed
So, dude, you just got to think about it a little bit, you know?
Cooper
All right. Shout out Skinny Joeys, though.
Reed
Shout out Skinny Joey.
Cooper
First segment of Exciting, Exciting Eats. We're going to have to come check it out again.
Reed
Absolutely.
Cooper
Let's chat about a little bit about the super bowl this past season before we get too far ahead and we're starting the next season. What. What are your. Some. Some of your favorite memories from this past season? The whole run.
Reed
The whole run, dude.
Cooper
Not just the super bowl, but the whole run.
Reed
I'll say this, like, it's this, like, people obviously see from the outside how well we were on the field and stuff, but, man, like, the climb, the challenges to get to that point, the. The ota, like, you starting, like, people don't realize you start so far ahead to. To building what you want at the end of the. The year. And we started OTAs, and that is when Vic Fangio came in and introduced us, the defense to a thing called Box Drill. So box.
Cooper
Box drill just started it today.
Reed
Box drill set that mentality on the defensive side. Well, I think some of the best moments were just seeing everybody. I'm being so cliche, but, like, seeing everybody, like, get together, like, being cool with each other.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
You know, like, it's. It's tough to. I don't know you. I always tell everybody that you want to. To go into your workplace and be. Be able to laugh and have fun with whoever and be able to enjoy being around the person you see every day.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
And that's what we had.
Cooper
Yeah. Because there's. There's a lot of guys from. From a lot of different places everywhere. But.
Reed
But, like, speaking.
Cooper
You all got one goal in mind. You all. All are able to connect over that.
Reed
Yeah. But, like, speaking of, like, the plays, like, you had the big two, six, you know, Saquon come in and shine.
Cooper
Barkley.
Reed
Sean Barkley, you know, shout out. Shout out Saquon. But, like, I played against him for what, two years, three years, and, like, dude's a freaking. He's a. Like he's a monster. And, like, he's proved this year that he's one of the best running backs to play in this league, you know.
Cooper
2,000 yards in the season.
Reed
Crazy.
Cooper
Jumping over people backwards.
Reed
Dude, that's probably.
Cooper
That's probably one of the best plays I've ever seen in my.
Reed
When you hold on, you do something on the field, and then the next, what week they put it into a game because they. They. You can do some crazy stuff in games, obviously, but, like, they do is the most real moves they put. You can jump over backwards.
Cooper
Yeah. It's probably only with him, though. It's got to be only with him.
Reed
It's gotta be. That's gotta be like signature. Signature music.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
Like, seeing that.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
And obviously, like, the. The whole circulation of the sideline went, you know, viral. That was. So I'm. I'm watching the. The. What do you call it?
Cooper
Big screen.
Reed
The big screen. Yeah. I didn't know if there was another word for it. Anyways, I'm sitting there watching it, and obviously I think it might have had a little delay, you know, like. You know how some stadiums have a little delay and, like, everybody goes wild, Whatever. So that happened. I'm sitting there watching it. I'm like, I hit cp, our DB coach. I'm like, you know, like, I think I was.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
Crazy.
Cooper
I just remember seeing the video of everybody on the sideline reacting and. But, like, going crazy because no one can.
Reed
You got a bunch of grown men that's been playing the sport forever and have never seen anything like that. Have you ever seen anything like that?
Cooper
I've never seen anything like that.
Reed
Dude's a freak. But, like, he didn't, like, go down, like, after. I mean, it took him a little.
Cooper
Bit, but I think Smitty's catch in the back of the end zone was that same. That same game too.
Reed
And Jahan was it. Jahan.
Cooper
Jahan's catch. Catch. That's kind of a crazy game, actually. Now that I think about it a.
Reed
Lot of like, stuff that gets, you.
Cooper
Know, over game too. We were up and then came back and grew up again.
Reed
It was.
Cooper
It was the Kobe's interception to seal the game.
Reed
And when he was talking to Casper about that and he called it like, dude, dude, smart. Obviously, that was crazy. That was just one game.
Cooper
One game, I think. And then, I mean, after the bye week, everybody just the way everybody came together and our defense started working together, then that run we went on and then having a little. Little hiccup in the road at Washington.
Reed
Yeah. I mean, things. Things like that. I hate to lose.
Cooper
There's no way we're going to win however many games in a row.
Reed
But we responded really well. Like, it wasn't one of those, like, oh, man, we like, no, like, suck it up. There's still a lot left.
Cooper
It was almost like a fresh start.
Reed
Yeah. I think it was kind of like kicking the tail, I would say.
Cooper
Then everybody coming back and we got it rolling. And then into the playoffs, who do we play? First round, Green Bay packers rematch.
Reed
Green Bay rematch. Rematch.
Cooper
Game one.
Reed
That felt like three years ago.
Cooper
Yeah, felt like a long time ago.
Reed
You weren't.
Cooper
Then we got the snow game.
Reed
Snow game. Snow game for a little bit. Have you ever played. You played in the snow?
Cooper
Never played in the snow.
Reed
Wow.
Cooper
From Iowa, but never played in the snow.
Reed
It was.
Cooper
It was probably the most fun I've ever had on the most fun football field.
Reed
Most fun I ever had. Like, it looked. I don't know, the TV copy, I guess, made it look a little bit more clear.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
But you really couldn't. When it was snowing heavy.
Cooper
No.
Reed
You couldn't really tell.
Cooper
Guys were. Guys were. Guys had to change their cleats.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Blowed. What do you call that thing? Leaf Blowing snow off the field in between, like during the timeouts. That's how much snow that was on. And it like start off the game. There was no snow either. No, no.
Reed
That's kind of what happened. What year was like, fact check me, 13, like 2013, but I think it's. No.
Cooper
Was that when Sean.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Went off now. Went off, I think. And then Saquon's run in the end zone. That long run he had where he crashed out.
Reed
Crashed. Yeah.
Cooper
That was sick. That was sick. And then obviously coming away with the win.
Reed
Yeah, that was.
Cooper
That was one of our tougher games of the season. Rams and then.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Who do we play?
Reed
Oh, dude.
Cooper
Washington for the third time.
Reed
Washington for a third time.
Cooper
Yeah. I don't know. Why? I don't remember.
Reed
No. Then they get. They get mixed up with my. In my head, too. But like, then going to the Super Bowl, New Orleans, you the most dramatic player I've ever been around. Waited till the what, dude? Wait till the super bowl on your birthday. On your birthday and get a pick six against Pat Mahomes.
Cooper
I know. I literally dropped one against Washington. I dropped one against the Rams.
Reed
Hey, you came through, man.
Cooper
I guess made.
Reed
I mean, I don't want to take away from your. Your thing.
Cooper
No, go ahead.
Reed
But Zach, bro, like Bonds, diving like Zach Monk.
Cooper
That was back to back, right?
Reed
Was it back to back?
Cooper
It was pretty.
Reed
It's pretty close. Yeah, it's pretty close. But the super bowl was just exciting events, you know, it's very.
Cooper
It's very exciting event, being able to go in there and win it the way we did and after what happened two years ago.
Reed
So, like, obviously you're. You're a rookie and you haven't experienced not getting to the top.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
So, like, how did you feel after? Was it like a really big bucket list thing? Because that's how it was for me.
Cooper
Yeah. I mean, I was crying when we went to the Super Bowl. Yeah.
Reed
When we went on the sideline, tearing up a little bit.
Cooper
Wait, during the Super. You were crying in the NFC Championship game?
Reed
That's what I'm saying. Like, when we won. Yeah, dude, you had. And I. I was.
Cooper
I mean, I didn't know what. How to celebrate. I mean, it was my. Obviously, it's a.
Reed
You watch football.
Cooper
You watch football your whole life, and you dream of getting to the. Getting to the top and then getting there. And I mean, at the end of.
Reed
The day, it's just another game with a lot.
Cooper
That's how you go into it. But then once you're holding the Lombardi Trophy, it's like, oh, my gosh. This is like what I've been dreaming of since I was a kid watching.
Reed
I didn't even know I was going to go to college, you know?
Cooper
And now you're playing in the Super Bowl. You played in the Super Bowl.
Reed
I don't know. It was a great experience because, like, I don't know if it's still. I don't think it still hit me, which is probably. It's definitely a good thing because it's like, okay, what's next?
Cooper
Yeah, I don't. Yeah.
Reed
But like, just seeing everybody yet, like my family, my. My fiance, and like, just. Just so, like, tears of joy and I'm like, I'm so Happy too. But like when is going to hit me?
Cooper
Yeah, I think, I think it almost makes you even hungrier to, to get absolutely that point. And that's good.
Reed
What I said.
Cooper
Go chase it again. And we've already started. We get a two month break and we're back.
Reed
And we're back. But like, I don't want to skip forward the celebration but like in that two month time period after the parade. We'll talk about the parade later. But like when did you, like, I don't know when you started. But like I felt like I needed to start working out a week after I got home from the parade because every week, either a week or a week and a half now I wasn't going like, yeah, all like you had.
Cooper
To get a little workout in.
Reed
You got a little workout.
Cooper
There was a lot of celebrating that was had so.
Reed
There was a lot of celebrating that had especially. Let's talk about, you know, going in the locker room after.
Cooper
Oh my gosh.
Reed
Had no idea. So boom, we go in and you can tell your side of the story. I don't want to take it, but.
Cooper
I got in there a little late.
Reed
But you did because you was what? The, the slime cam, whatever Nickelodeon thing.
Cooper
I was messing around on the field. I don't even know what I was doing.
Reed
I was, I was trying to get.
Cooper
They gave me a birthday cake after the game though, which is.
Reed
Dude, what about that? What about that?
Cooper
Probably the best birthday I've ever had.
Reed
Is it?
Cooper
It's got to be. I mean, you kidding me? Scoring a touchdown in the super bowl on your birthday and winning the super bowl, most importantly on your birthday. It's pretty insane then.
Reed
Crazy.
Cooper
When did you get, did you get in the locker room? Pretty early, like before the champion, I thought.
Reed
I got in late because I walked in and everybody had their goggles on. I'm like, where'd you get the goggles? You know, I'm more worried about these sick Oakland because you see them, you see them in all the, you know, the, the NBA final, the championship, everything. Like you see, everybody could see snowboard, cool Oakley goggles. And, and I'm like, I want a pair of those. Like where, like I'm asking every, like, where. Where did you get them? Where'd you get them? So they're at your locker. I haven't been back to my locker yet. And boom, there was, there was the goggles and there was a, a cigar. Seagu Seagar right there. So. And then I ended up popping champagne sprayed all over the place.
Cooper
You did?
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
That was.
Reed
Well, there was bottles and bottles, like smokes in the air.
Cooper
Like, I didn't even get to pop any champagne that night. I don't think that's the first.
Reed
Like, I didn't even, like, replenish anything. But, dude, that. That was. Oh, my gosh.
Cooper
I got in. Someone had took my goggles from the.
Reed
Oh, you probably got.
Cooper
From my locker. Yeah. But I got them back. But I walked in and I immediately walked to the back room and I found some.
Reed
The equipment guys, some shout out beverages. Shout out Greg, Craig, Pete, Nick.
Cooper
Found some. Found some beverages where the equipment guys were hanging out with. Hanging out at and got a cigar.
Reed
Cigar.
Cooper
Lit it up.
Reed
Jersey. The jersey smell just reeks.
Cooper
Oh, yeah.
Reed
Cigars, still. But that's.
Cooper
It's part of.
Reed
It's part of it, man.
Cooper
You watch every. Every championship team celebrate.
Reed
Did you?
Cooper
With the cigar?
Reed
Yeah. So, you know, fast forward whenever we had the parade, whatever. What were you expecting, like, would you would. As in, like, at the parade? I'd say this. Were you expecting, like, to, like, the super bowl, like, you won the Super Bowl? What did you expect it to hit you then at the parade?
Cooper
Yeah, I don't know. I think it did kind of hit me then a little bit at the parade. Just seeing the amount of people that were there. Like, I've never seen that many people.
Reed
Because it was what, flying the streets? Was it five and a half miles long?
Cooper
I have no idea. But I'd never seen that many people in. In the streets of one city. And just celebrating a football team, like.
Reed
That just goes to show, like, insane how much they care. They're like, they're so passionate.
Cooper
It was. Yeah, it was. It was packed. Like, packed right when we left, like, at Citizens Bank.
Reed
Oh, yeah, Park.
Cooper
It was. Was packed already.
Reed
And that's when I got called Coop. Coop. I was like, no. Oh, yeah, I'm ready.
Cooper
You got caught. I forgot about that. I forgot about that.
Reed
There's no way. We don't. We don't look alike.
Cooper
Q and Nolan Smith. Oh, during the break, bro.
Reed
Like now. Okay, we can talk about that a little bit. What about just like, the cans just flying, flying, flying.
Cooper
Hit Howie in the face.
Reed
Howie in the right.
Cooper
I know a lot of people got hit in the face with cans. Yeah. I was trying to snag them.
Reed
And dude, hurting so bad from that. It's freezing.
Cooper
Also freezing out.
Reed
Freezing cold. But yeah, let's talk, like, because we got to get off the bus.
Cooper
Oh, my gosh.
Reed
That was the best part.
Cooper
I could have walked the whole parade.
Reed
I could have walked the whole parade. But, like, you got hit in the face right by your own self.
Cooper
Yes. I was wearing a big chain.
Reed
Huge.
Cooper
On my. Around my neck and I was running.
Reed
What kind of chain was.
Cooper
It was a chain with a beer can on it.
Reed
I like it.
Cooper
Is Bud Light a sponsor or. No. Okay. I was wearing a chain with a beer can on it. And what.
Reed
What were you. Did you, like, throw something or try to catch.
Cooper
I had a beer can in my hand and I was throwing beer on everybody.
Reed
In fact, the fact that you were.
Cooper
Just came up and hit me in.
Reed
The face going at it and it just.
Cooper
Yeah, hit me right in the eye. You guys still got a scar? I probably do. I don't know. Maybe a little bit.
Reed
Maybe a little battle scars.
Cooper
And then you with me forever.
Reed
That's good. That's a good scar. Remember? Then you come over here and just pour beer on me holding the trophy.
Cooper
I just dumped it on. Just dumped a full beer.
Reed
Can we have any? Like, we were. We just started and Grant, like anybody. I'm sure there's a lot of people that are there freezing. We're gonna say it was freezing cold. And you pour a cold beer on my head.
Cooper
I know. It felt good.
Reed
Yeah, I had a little.
Cooper
You're holding the trophy. It was fine.
Reed
Very. It was iconic, I guess.
Cooper
Got to walk around with the trophy, celebrate with the fans. I got a sick ass. I got a sick WWE belt.
Reed
Is it like. Wait, did I see that?
Cooper
Yeah, it's a Heavyweight champion of the world.
Reed
I didn't.
Cooper
I don't remember you watch wwe?
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Yeah. I was rocking the world Heavyweight champ.
Reed
What was your. Never mind. What was your wrestler who was. Yeah.
Cooper
Rey mysterio, dude.
Reed
619. Yeah.
Cooper
Rey mysterio, dude.
Reed
I always got. Dude, always.
Cooper
I just got some merch in my locker from. Someone sent me Rey Mysterio merch, dude.
Reed
I was.
Cooper
Dude. Shout out.
Reed
I always try to face, like Edge. I always thought they were so bad, like the villains. You like the villains had like. Well, now I do.
Cooper
Okay. You still watch it?
Reed
No.
Cooper
Wait, did you go to Wrestlemania when it was here?
Reed
No. Forgot about it.
Cooper
You're not a real fan, though.
Reed
I know.
Cooper
You guys free. You could have went free.
Reed
Well, I forget sometimes, man.
Cooper
Anyways, back to the parade.
Reed
Sorry.
Cooper
My fault. Let's talk about our. Let's talk about our little speech that we tried.
Reed
Oh, my God.
Cooper
Debacle.
Reed
Yeah. Do you want to go first on this?
Cooper
Yeah. So we were. We got introduced as the exciting whites at the. At the ceremony at the statue, the Rocky statue, the steps. And we get introduced as the exciting whites. And we were trying to plan it out where we had this dreams and nightmares would start playing so.
Reed
So cool, like, moment in our head.
Cooper
Yes.
Reed
Because, like, we weren't gonna do it. I wasn't gonna do it. Saquon came up to me.
Cooper
Yeah. Saquon wanted us to do it.
Reed
It's like, dude, you gotta go up there. You gotta speak. You gotta start singing dreams of nightmares. I'm like, I don't want to do this by myself. Get Cooper.
Cooper
So me and Reed go up there to this. To this podium and. And we told them. We tell them to turn the music on and they turn it on and it's at like the wrong.
Reed
It's the wrong.
Cooper
They started like halfway through the.
Reed
It's the wrong.
Cooper
Through the song. It was just butchered and we.
Reed
That was our mouth up and it was just.
Cooper
And then we went acapella there for a second. We started singing it by ourselves.
Reed
It was just. Yeah. I don't know.
Cooper
But then we gave. We gave a little. Little speech. Well, nice speech.
Reed
Did we.
Cooper
You probably don't remember.
Reed
No, I do. It's just like so much happening around that time.
Cooper
Yeah, but we gave a little speech.
Reed
Oh, I said, oh, I'm so embarrassed.
Cooper
Why?
Reed
I said, I'm just a boy from Bama, dude. I'm an idiot. I'm an idiot.
Cooper
I don't know.
Reed
I don't know why that's the first thing that pops in my head.
Cooper
From the real a.
Reed
From the real A. You know, I don't know why. It was the first name. That was my. I'm an idiot. Sorry.
Cooper
Just a kid from Bama.
Reed
It happens, man.
Cooper
Undrafted from middle.
Reed
I did not say that. I did not say that. I say that. I just left it at Bama. Dog.
Cooper
I'm a dog. That's what you should have said.
Reed
No, you're funny, man. You're funny. So like that, like, just shows how much Philly just love the support.
Cooper
Oh, the parade. Insane. Yeah, it was insane, dude.
Reed
There were people on top of garbage trucks.
Cooper
Oh, yeah. On top of buildings, garbage trucks.
Reed
Just didn't care.
Cooper
I remember the first. Our first home game against Atlanta Monday night. I drove into the. This is a Monday. I drove into. I was driving into the facility and I'm driving past the parking lot and it's like 9am in the morning and people are already tailgating for the game. That's not. Till. When is it? Eastern Time. 8:00 o' clock. 7:30. No, it's like 8:30 Eastern Time.
Reed
Like 8:30.
Cooper
And they're. They're out there at 9:00am Already. Partying, tailgating, getting ready for the game. There's no way they made it in the game.
Reed
But they're Die Hards, man.
Cooper
That's okay. They're Die Hards.
Reed
I love it. So. I've always wanted to play for a city like this.
Cooper
I know.
Reed
Always.
Cooper
You'd rather have. You rather play for a city like this than for a city that, like, the fans don't.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Care.
Reed
True. You got a point.
Cooper
Yeah. You'd rather have. You know, they. We hear it when we're struggling a little bit.
Reed
Yeah. They keep us. They keep us honest, man.
Cooper
Yeah. Early in the season and then.
Reed
This is the realest fan base.
Cooper
Realist.
Reed
I'm not just saying that. This is definitely the realest fan base.
Cooper
Like 100%.
Reed
Let's talk about the rings.
Cooper
The fat ass rings.
Reed
Oh, my gosh. I cannot wait.
Cooper
I can't wait either. Well, you got, you got one already.
Reed
But it's like second place.
Cooper
Yeah, it's cool. You can't.
Reed
It's not like big.
Cooper
This one's gonna be like.
Reed
This one's gonna be like probably double the size.
Cooper
Which finger did you get it on?
Reed
Ring finger. Right ring finger.
Cooper
Right ring finger. Same. I think, actually.
Reed
Really, I think I got all my rings. I'll say all these rings. I don't have a lot, but yeah, I got one on my bro.
Cooper
When is it? It's coming up in like a month. June 6th ring ceremony.
Reed
June 6th ring ceremony.
Cooper
Gonna be dressed to the nine.
Reed
Let me dress. Yeah. I wonder what they're gonna look like. I haven't had like, somebody I hope.
Cooper
I don't want to see. I kind of want to.
Reed
Well, I've talked to a couple of people and they said they kind of know what it looks like, but said don't even. Don't even bother.
Cooper
Don't even bother.
Reed
I want to open up the. The chest and it be a glowing light full of diamonds.
Cooper
The episode after we get our rings, we got to wear them on.
Reed
Oh, yeah. Wear them tomorrow to my wedding.
Cooper
Oh, I forgot.
Reed
No, I'm joking. I. I can't.
Cooper
You got to.
Reed
No, I can't.
Cooper
I guess. All right. But I'm excited for the ring ceremony though. It's gonna be. Gonna be a blast.
Reed
Should be glad to see a good. Like, I've never been.
Cooper
I've never had a ring ceremony before.
Reed
Me either. Wait, you're not winning. Why? You hit? No, you haven't. Not anything like two.
Cooper
You don't really do a ring ceremony in college, like.
Reed
True.
Cooper
So it's gonna be. It's gonna be fun, though.
Reed
I only got. I got a couple of bow rings, like Bahamas Bowl, Camellia Bowl. Oh, okay, okay.
Cooper
Shout out middle tennis.
Reed
Shout out Middleton.
Cooper
But fun fact, when Reed was at Middle Tennessee State, they played the University of Iowa. And yeah, did not win.
Reed
That was tough. That was a tough year for the Oakland Raiders. Vanda Pharmaceuticals is a global biopharmaceutical company with headquarters in Washington, D.C. leading from our nation's capital.
Cooper
Vanda was founded 22 years ago to develop innovative therapies to improve the lives of many. Utilizing technology including genetics and genomics, to inform drug discovery and development.
Reed
Vanda's commitment is to challenge the status quo and propel innovation. Forward. Forward in the pursuit of happiness.
Cooper
From groundbreaking therapies to players making history, we know the excellence is derived from exceptional people coming together as a team.
Reed
A true maverick in the pharmaceutical space, Vanda Pharmaceuticals is proud to be the title sponsor of this podcast, Fanta Pharmaceuticals.
Cooper
Innovate in the service of people's pursuit of happiness. Speaking of the ring ceremony, our boy Reed is about to have his own ring. Personal.
Reed
Two rings, one year.
Cooper
Personal ring ceremony. Yeah.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Getting two rings in the span of a month, it's crazy, ain't it?
Reed
Now, it's probably not going to be as fat, but the significance of it's.
Cooper
A lot better was getting married on 4th of July.
Reed
We got married. And I'll tell you this, I'm fortunate enough because everybody says, just wait till the wedding planning. Just wait till the wedding planning. And I'm like, oh, my gosh. Like, I don't want to stress out about it because, you know, during the season, like, it's a different type of stress.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
And she was so. She was so good about keeping everything just. This is exactly what you need to do. As in, I need to get my suit. I need to be there when the food tastes, which is fine. I love the food tasting now. Now the colors and stuff. Like, I had no idea. Like, we were. She came up training camp one day, and I guess she was talking to our new dietitian, nutritionist Steph, Stephanie. And I don't. I don't know how I got. She's like, so, Stephanie, do you like the. The color of the wedding? I'm like, yeah. Supposed to be like. Like, this color. She's like, no, it's not. I'm like, what? So she done. Elsa done told my fiance also, she done told her that it's a different color now. Blue. Like a. Like a. Some type of blue.
Cooper
So you've done no planning.
Reed
I would say that you haven't helped at all. I mean, I like to give my opinions. Now, listen, like, there's a couple, like, surprises thrown into it, you know?
Cooper
Surprises.
Reed
July 4th weekend, dude. Oh, don't want to spill the beans.
Cooper
Okay, I like that. I like that.
Reed
So, no, I can't wait.
Cooper
Big day.
Reed
Big day. Dude, speaking of, you know, proposing. Well, when you talk about proposing, dude, I have never in my life been so nervous. So we got a place in Tennessee. Whatever.
Cooper
Yeah, let's talk. Let's talk about the proposal.
Reed
I was like. I said I was so nervous. She knew that it was bound to happen because I told her. I was like, yeah, we're going. Like, I promise you before I go in training camp, you will have a ring on your finger now, regardless what day I pick. Whatever. So this is coming down to the wire, dude. Like, so I get the ring, whatever. And I'm like, I'm. I don't know. It's like, when do I do it? You know, I keep pushing it back, Keep pushing it back. I'm like, okay, let's do. Let's do 4th of July. Let's do 4th of july. You know, let's. Let's. Let's go to this vineyard, like, make it all pretty. I'm like, God, I gotta hire a photographer. I gotta do this. Because, you know, they want the pictures.
Cooper
Do you think she knew? Did she know it was coming?
Reed
Like, yeah, she had an idea. Because I think her mom actually was like, we need to go get your nails done. You know, it's. Which is fine. Like, that's. I'd rather her look, whatever, you know, minor. Minor dirty, you know?
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
But speaking of the proposal, so I was like, fourth of July, we're gonna make up a story, and her family's gonna be in on it. So, like, her family ended up coming to her. Her family's house, her parents house in Murfreesboro. And my family drove up too. So, like, after the proposal, we were gonna go there, whatever, and just surprise her like that. Well, I woke up that morning and I'm like, oh, my gosh, I'm fisting that feel like I'm fisting a player up. Yeah, fixing. Sorry. To play a football game. Like, when I tell you, dude, I didn't say a word to her the whole morning. I'm Laying in bed until I have to get up. She's getting up, getting ready, whatever. We're supposed to meet her parents or. Yeah, her parents for brunch. And I don't even know if this place is open.
Cooper
What?
Reed
Yeah, I don't. Because it's fourth of July. Like, I don't know. I don't. I. I honestly don't know. So I'm like, this place not even going to be open. And sure enough, it wasn't. It didn't open till, like, 12.
Cooper
Oh, so you're good then?
Reed
Well. Well, I didn't say I didn't eat anything. Like, I honestly. You were nervous, dude. I was so nervous.
Cooper
So were you more nervous for that or the Super Bowl?
Reed
Just close, dude, I'm telling you, I. I had to go eat a slice of turkey so I didn't pass out. It's weird, bro. It's. It's weird. And she was like, why are you being weird?
Cooper
I'm like, so you gave it away?
Reed
Well, you pretty much say this. I just go ahead and tell you the whole thing. So.
Cooper
Yeah. Come on.
Reed
So I have the ring. So the ring comes in, you know, the. The normal box you see on a normal basis, I guess. I don't know. Whatever.
Cooper
Yeah, ring box.
Reed
Yeah, ring box. So, see, I'm even nervous talking about it, but. So it came with another, like, a tiny engagement box. But it's freaking. You know, it's an inch tall, whatever. So I put it in my. My truck, like, side pocket, and I left it in there overnight. Thank gosh, nobody stole it. That's the most dumbest thing I've done. But thank gosh, I didn't have insurance on it at the time. So we get to the. To the place where I'm doing it, and I'm wearing the Lulu, you know, khaki shorts or, like navy blue shorts, whatever. Like golf shorts. And I'm not gonna lie, they're. They're not, like, tight, but you know how they fit. You know, you can't have anything in your pocket without it having it. Oh. You know what I'm saying?
Cooper
So what'd you do with the ring?
Reed
Well, I'm an idiot, but get out the truck. And I'm like, snatch it. I don't know why I didn't take it out. So I put in my pocket. Dude, when I tell you it is sticking, it's the most obvious thing. So I get out my truck and I stick my hand in my pocket like this. I never walk like that. Just trying to. Trying to Hide it like I'm gripping. She said, what are you doing? I said, nothing. Let's just go over here. And, like, the photographer's already there. And that's when she figured out. She started crying and open. Opened the box upside down. So I got down on my knee. I say, I'm fisting to open it, because you couldn't tell. So I opened it up. It was upside down. Luckily, it didn't fall out. Said a couple words. Dude, I. I didn't know what to say.
Cooper
I was like, oh, you have to say this. Will you marry me?
Reed
Well, sometimes there's a lot more to go into it if you want to be better than I am, because I was freaking out.
Cooper
Well, the most important thing is, will you marry me?
Reed
Well, yeah. I said, I love you. Will you marry me?
Cooper
Wow.
Reed
Boom.
Cooper
Wow.
Reed
That's awesome, dude. After I did that, I was tired for two days. I didn't like. It's like a hangover. Like, I've had a rager, bro. It was so bad, man. Thanks, man.
Cooper
It's awesome. Now we're gonna go. Have a good time at your wedding.
Reed
Yeah. Yeah. It's gonna be great.
Cooper
Another exciting event.
Reed
Another exciting event.
Cooper
The NFL draft.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
I mean, what. What were you doing on, like, during the draft in your year?
Reed
I was at home, man. I was at home. And I guess I knew, or kind of knew that I wasn't probably going to get drafted. I wanted to get drafted, but it's just one of those things that sometimes it don't work out in your way, but, like, the opportunity just to be on a team. Like, I'm obviously undrafted and. And just, you know, the Eagles gave me an opportunity, and it's how you view it. You know, obviously, you got drafted, but, like, I've always wanted to get drafted. Always wanted to go on a high, you know, a high round. Everybody, every kid, that. Whatever. But, you know, sometimes it don't work out like that, which is fine. Like, there's plenty of guys with these kind of stories that, you know, it's that underdog mentality, and you just.
Cooper
It's all about how you look at it. You can either be mad that you.
Reed
Yeah. It's like.
Cooper
Or you can just come in.
Reed
Yeah. And I'm not saying I didn't have a chip on my shoulder like I did.
Cooper
Oh, yeah.
Reed
But you got to put that ego stuff to the side a little bit in that situation and just whatever. Yeah. Coming in work, you know, and, you know, had a lot of great guys in the room at the Time and how it is now, too. Like a welcoming type locker room.
Cooper
Yeah, that's how. I mean, like, when I got drafted, I had like, a big party in my hometown. Everything. But. Which was pretty cool. But the, like the first. First night of the draft when I was. I was kind of expecting to get drafted the first night, and it didn't happen. I mean, it was. It was a little disappointing, but I mean, it's all about how you look at it. I mean, I feel like I woke up the next day and was just excited. Obviously a little disappointed the first night, but I just. Then I realized, like, someone's gonna pick me up and I'm gonna have an opportunity to. To go play football somewhere, which is. Which is awesome. And I was. I was able to. To celebrate with my family and a lot of close friends, right. Who were from my hometown and from other places as well, who. Who came to my draft party, which was. Which was awesome. That's. That's the fun part about living in a small town and.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Make a lot of good relationships. Everybody knows everybody, you know, everybody knows everybody. Make good relationships. Right. You know, a lot of people who have impact on your life, and a lot of those people were there.
Reed
That's big time, dude. That's.
Cooper
That's cool.
Reed
Yeah, that's cool. I know there's a lot of guys too, like, that get drafted and you know, you see the. The videos that are blessed to be able to be around all this. These group of people to. To celebrate with. But you know, the serious stuff aside, like, didn't you get prank called?
Cooper
I did get called.
Reed
I bet you were so mad. Were you. Were you mad?
Cooper
I was a little disappointed. I got like, swear to God, I got like 30 different prank calls from all over the place. They were from most of them. A lot of them were from the east coast, like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida. They're from all over the place. But I was the first one I got. I was so. They had like, NFL had like, cameras set up in my. At this little barn dominium type thing. I was. I was at. They had camera set up. I get a phone call and these people were good. They. They say they're.
Reed
They sounded just like them.
Cooper
They. The Green Bay packers are on the clock and oh, my God, they say this is so. And so from the Green Bay Packers. And I start walking over to sit in my seat in front of the camera.
Reed
They flip the cameras on, like, is it.
Cooper
Yeah, they flip the lights on.
Reed
Is it your local, like, news channels?
Cooper
Like the NFL?
Reed
Oh, wow. So they see I don't know anything about this.
Cooper
They flip the lights on, I'm sitting down, and then I figure out it's a prank on. I turn and look. I was like, nevermind, it's a prank. Oh, man. And then sitting there through the rest of the day, first round, getting all the prank calls was really upsetting. And then come the second day, I was still getting prank calls, so I ended up not even answering the Eagles call when I.
Reed
It's crazy.
Cooper
When I got drafted, they had to call my agent, and luckily my. My agent was there.
Reed
Like, how did you feel? Like, when your name or when they called you, they wanted you.
Cooper
I didn't even know what to. What to think. I didn't even know what to say.
Reed
Yeah, Yeah.
Cooper
I was saying thank you. Thank you, thank you. Yeah. Dang. It was. It was a pretty cool moment, though, being able to talk on the phone and, you know, watch. Watch your name get called on.
Reed
That's sick.
Cooper
And BG Getting to call my name, which is.
Reed
That was. That was tough. I forgot about that. That's a little. That's a little cool.
Cooper
Eagles legend.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Calling my name was. Was awesome. Speaking of prank calls, there was, like. I think there was a lot. I feel like there was a lot of guys who got prank called this year. I've heard of a lot of guys.
Reed
We're like, are they talking about it more or like, I know Shadir did. That was.
Cooper
That one was crazy.
Reed
That one's crazy. That one's. Because, like, that's your moment.
Cooper
I know.
Reed
You know that's your moment. I don't understand why people do it. Would do it.
Cooper
They just look.
Reed
How do they even get it?
Cooper
Well, shooters. I mean, there was some. Yeah.
Reed
Like, behind the right. Yeah, that's. That's a different story. But like.
Cooper
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know how the people who called me got my number, but it was. I don't know. It's. It's tough, though, because especially me going through it and then especially him. He was supposed to be a top five pick.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
And then he goes to the fifth round, but, you know, you kind of feel bad for him. You know, that that happened.
Reed
He's grinding. Well, did you see him work away from Brady, though? Tom Brady?
Cooper
Yeah, I did see that.
Reed
Sick. He's a good player.
Cooper
We got some good rookies in our draft last year.
Reed
Absolutely. I talked. Well, speaking of, like, our new safety, Drew Andrew.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
I guess one of the first. How would I say this? First interactions I had was he sat down to do his, the, the blood work stuff.
Cooper
Physical.
Reed
The physical stuff. And he looks so nervous, bro. Really? Because I don't like needles, man.
Cooper
I don't like needles either.
Reed
But no, he's. He's cool. I think he's really. He's really smart.
Cooper
He'll be a good ball.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
Ball player. Yeah, he flies, dude. Flies around.
Reed
He don't play. Like he. How much he weighs.
Cooper
I know. Yeah.
Reed
Flies.
Cooper
And then first round pick, first round pick, Jahad Campbell.
Reed
Met him.
Cooper
Talk to him too.
Reed
Very, very like extroverted type guy.
Cooper
Yeah. Yeah. Which is, which is good.
Reed
What, like what we have in the locker room. Like he's gonna, he's gonna mesh well with everybody.
Cooper
Fit in really well. Yeah, he's a dog too. Let's talk about our GM, Mr. Howie Roseman.
Reed
I don't know how he does it.
Cooper
I don't know how he does it either.
Reed
Like, I don't know.
Cooper
He's got to spend so much time on. So much time like working all the.
Reed
Trades and it's all about. He's got to trust or the guys around him too. Oh, yeah, but like, dude's a maniac up there.
Cooper
Yeah.
Reed
Like he knows exactly what he's doing.
Cooper
He makes everything go along with his, along with his team. They. They find the right people to bring him in.
Reed
Yeah.
Cooper
No, they know what to do with them.
Reed
Yeah, absolutely. No, he's.
Cooper
Hey, buddy.
Reed
Hey, buddy. Hey, buddy.
Cooper
Every time. Every time.
Reed
Every time.
Cooper
That's what he says.
Reed
Every time.
Cooper
He's. He's awesome though. Great at his job.
Reed
Great at his job.
Cooper
Gotta be. He might be best in the league.
Reed
Yeah, I think would think so.
Cooper
He's gotta be up there. If he's not, I mean, I don't know who's better, but I don't know either.
Reed
But he's pretty good. Yeah, he's pretty good at his job.
Cooper
Our next segment on the show is a rapid fire Q and A. Today is the first episode. So we don't have. We don't have questions from you guys out there watching, but we'll be picking questions and people out of the comments to come join us on our beautiful show and be able to.
Reed
To ask us questions, kind of whatever we want.
Cooper
Put a timer on you. Yeah, rapid fire. Better have your questions ready when you come join us. But we got some, we got some questions now that we came up with to, to ask each other. So we're going to get that rolling right now. Got two minutes. First question. What's your go to song before a game.
Reed
Listen to my house and my moment.
Cooper
Are we going back and forth?
Reed
Yeah. Yeah.
Cooper
All right. Piano Man. Piano Man's mine.
Reed
Really?
Cooper
How many points could I drop in an NBA playoff? Playoff game? I think I'm getting at least six points and I'm definitely getting some assists in there, so. Yeah. What's the weirdest DM you've ever gotten?
Reed
I don't know. I don't. I don't know.
Cooper
Okay, well, what about you? Some girl. Some girl made a whole presentation and sent it to my marketing team via dm. They made a whole presentation on why. Why I should go on a date with him. So. Wow. Okay. If you could swap. Swap lives. Whoa. If you could swap.
Reed
If you could swap lives with any other athlete, who could it be?
Cooper
Four day. Who would it be? LeBron James.
Reed
No way.
Cooper
Swear LeBron James. Are you kidding?
Reed
I don't even know. I don't even know. I'm sorry.
Cooper
Come on. We got 40 seconds.
Reed
I got 40 seconds.
Cooper
Pick an athlete.
Reed
I'm trying to think.
Cooper
Or anybody. You can pick anybody. You pick me if you want.
Reed
No. Crap. No. Oh, my gosh. Slay, slay, slay.
Cooper
Big play.
Reed
Slay.
Cooper
Would you trust me to babysit your future child? I would trust you to babysit my child.
Reed
That's different.
Cooper
I would trust your fiance.
Reed
Yeah, she's.
Cooper
Watch my child.
Reed
Yeah, she's golden with it.
Cooper
The locker room had a talent show. What would your act be? I would probably just do some dunks I can juggle.
Reed
I'm not. I'm starting to realize I'm not really cool, bro. Dude, I don't know. I am a pretty good singer. Golly. I'm not cool.
Cooper
That was our rapid fire. Rapid fire Q A. Oh, my gosh. You got two minutes when you come on the show.
Reed
So, yeah, obviously better have your questions.
Cooper
Ready and my co host will be better at answering them next time.
Reed
