Cooper DeJean
Let's talk about your. Your conversation with one of the Bill's defensive backs.
Reed Blank
If it ain't. If it ain't our fans thinking that I'm you, it's players. And I guess people don't realize that there's two. Two white guys on defense.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, there's two. We wear different numbers, too, so.
Reed Blank
And I have a. Yeah, we have different numbers.
Cooper DeJean
And Reed wears a sleeve, too.
Reed Blank
I have a sleeve.
Cooper DeJean
He's a little soft, so he's got to wear a sleeve.
Reed Blank
Oh, my gosh. Whatever.
Cooper DeJean
And then when. When Reed was running out this. This week before the. Before pregame warm ups, he decided to tell everybody in the tunnel to. To call me Reed, which he thought, how's it feel?
Reed Blank
How's it feel? How does it feel? I mean, look, here's. Here's what I can say. Like, you know how you got your thing like, Coop? Like, if y' all mess up, if the fans mess up and start saying that, just switch it and say read. You know, it does. I'm the same.
Cooper DeJean
At the end of the day, it could work.
Reed Blank
That's how we go thinking in my head. Like, when I hear it, I'm like, okay, maybe they're fishing to switch it up a little bit, you know? Yeah, it's okay. I like it.
Cooper DeJean
We'll get that rolling.
Reed Blank
But, yeah, I mean, when we had that conversation, it was, you know, he's like, what's up, Coop? I'm like, well, but I'm the other one.
Cooper DeJean
I'm the other one.
Reed Blank
I need to get a T shirt made saying on the other one.
Cooper DeJean
Welcome back to exciting mics. I'm Cooper DeJean.
Reed Blank
And I'm Reed Blank. So we're back after the holidays and the regular season is all wrapped up. Looking forward to another great episode. And this is where things get very, very fun, Coop.
Cooper DeJean
Very fun. Remember to follow exciting mics on all platforms, like comment, share, and subscribe on YouTube or wherever you listen to your podcasts. Let's get it started. We're gonna start this podcast off with how we do every single week. Well, every single time. We film the podcast every time with what's exciting you this week. It is first round, baby, time of year. The playoffs are here. It is the best time of year. Everybody's 0 and 0. Fresh slate, and we get to host the first round in the link. So that.
Reed Blank
In the link. That's.
Cooper DeJean
That's pretty exciting.
Reed Blank
I think it's supposed to be like 40 something degrees, too.
Cooper DeJean
40 degrees.
Reed Blank
I think now it could change.
Cooper DeJean
It could change really fast.
Reed Blank
But hey, that's football weather, baby.
Cooper DeJean
It is. I love football weather. But yeah, we got the playoffs this week in Philly. Can't wait. Obviously we're done with the regular season now. I'm excited. I'm excited for. For the playoffs. I feel like, you know, we got. We got a little rest last week.
Reed Blank
Needed much needed rest, much needed. Like people don't realize how good that is. Like that's what you need. You need to have some sort of rest. Going into a playoff game if you can. If you can.
Cooper DeJean
You play 18 games in a. Or seven. 17 or 18 games in a year. And I mean, you only get one break in between there and we. Now we got two, so.
Reed Blank
And this. I mean, this seat. It's not like this season's been easy.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, it hasn't been easy at all.
Reed Blank
It's. I mean, no season is going to be easy to say that.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
Yeah. I mean, not feeling as sore anymore, you know. Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Which is filled. Legs are. Legs are a lot more fresh, you know, getting ready for this. This playoff run. But I mean every. Everything turns up a little bit, you know, once we hit the playoffs. Obviously with. I. I feel like in the. In the link last year at least I could feel like a whole new, like different type of energy, you know, in. In the building, in the stadium.
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
From regular season to playoffs. I don't know why it was. Maybe. Maybe I'm just crazy.
Reed Blank
Gets juiced, man. Even the fans.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
I mean, why not win or go home? And you second year.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
I mean, this is kind of. This is normal for you a little bit, ain't it? What is just going. Playing the playoffs.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. I mean we got. We got to make a. A great run in the playoffs. So I've gotten a little bit of. Of experience last year. Obviously. You've been in the playoffs all three, four years. Three or four.
Reed Blank
Every. Yeah, four years.
Cooper DeJean
Four years. All four years of your career. So some. Some good playoff experience. I think the biggest thing about the playoffs is just finding a way to win.
Reed Blank
Yeah. You know, and we can't speak too much of playoffs right now. We gotta, you know, step back because you made Pro bowl. Your first year's pro. Pro bowl, first year.
Cooper DeJean
I did. I did.
Reed Blank
How's it feel, dude?
Cooper DeJean
I think, you know, it's pretty cool, but obviously, you know, I got a lot of great people around me and on our defense. On our defense.
Reed Blank
Let me just say it from outside.
Cooper DeJean
We got four other Pro Bowlers on our.
Reed Blank
Pretty good. I mean. Yeah, no, I'M saying, like, the ones that were selected, they're pretty freaking good. I mean, couldn't.
Cooper DeJean
My buddy. My buddy, RE Blankenship.
Reed Blank
It ain't all me, man. Let me tell you that.
Cooper DeJean
But it was. I think it was me. Q. Nolan, Zach Bon JC And Cam Juergens, I think are the. All the pro boulders there. So. Yeah, it's. It's pretty cool.
Reed Blank
Love to see that, man.
Cooper DeJean
Pretty cool accomplishment. Pretty good. Pretty cool for. For our team. But this past. I mean, this season was. There was a lot of adversity and yeah, I think that's. That's good for us as a team, you know, going in the playoffs. Because in the playoffs, there's going to be a lot of. A lot of ups and downs, right?
Reed Blank
Got to respond, man. Got to respond the right way. And we're going to have each other's back regardless, you know, 100%. That's what. It's a team sport, you know.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, we. We've done it all year. You know, no matter what has happened, you know, we've kind of rallied around each other through every single moment this season. And we are the first team since 2004 to repeat as NFC east division champs.
Reed Blank
Are the first team or like the first time that we in our division?
Cooper DeJean
First time. Is it the first time?
Reed Blank
I think it's first time. Well, I don't know.
Cooper DeJean
That make us the first team to do it then, too, would it not?
Reed Blank
Oh, yeah, you're right.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, no. No, it wouldn't. Because it's the first time since 2004. So I think the Eagles. The Eagles did it in like 2000. From 2002 to 2004, they won it.
Reed Blank
Back to back, but here we are.
Cooper DeJean
Now, and then we did it the last two years. So it's pretty. It's a pretty cool accomplishment.
Reed Blank
T shirt game.
Cooper DeJean
Obviously it's the first step, you know, first goal you set out for for your season. So it's pretty cool. All right, we're going to rank our top three moments from the season. H. You want to start us off? You got an idea? I got who we all played.
Reed Blank
I know it feels like season was.
Cooper DeJean
A blur, I think. I mean, obviously the Rams game and the Jordan Davis for a touchdown. That was in there for sure.
Reed Blank
I'll say. Also getting the. The two. Two of our guys, AJ And Smitty to a thousand.
Cooper DeJean
AJ And Smitty to a thousand. Saquon got a thousand yards. I think the shutout. The shutout against the Raiders.
Reed Blank
Oh, yeah, dude, I forgot about that.
Cooper DeJean
I Mean, that was pretty fun to play in. And then I think just winning in the East, I feel like that's. Yeah, that's pretty cool, too. And Reed is having a baby, so.
Reed Blank
That should be number one.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, but we're. Yeah, now we're talking about football, talking ball, you know.
Reed Blank
Yeah, no, that's for sure. That's on number one.
Cooper DeJean
All right. We're going to play a little. Play a little coach here. Reed, what do you. What do you think is an area that I've improved on from. From last season to this season?
Reed Blank
I would say, like, the whole understanding of not only, like, route concepts and like, where you got to be in, like, other people's jobs, but just being able to play wherever you're asked to play. Like, you played, what, nickel all last year, and then you go into this year playing corner and then playing nickel. I mean, you got reps at safety. And I feel like the. That's probably. That's your growth. That's that shot. That's. That shows how much you've grown since your rookie year. Like, you can take the workload of each position and steel ball out, you know.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I appreciate that. That's very nice of you. I mean, I think it's obvious for you, like, the. From a leadership standpoint, you know, the steps you've taken, you know, with losing Slay and some of our other vets, you know, like, CD was another vocal guy last year and you being the oldest, one of the older guys in the loader.
Reed Blank
Yeah, I'm not like one of the ones that stayed longer.
Cooper DeJean
So just seeing your leadership from last year to this year, I think is. Was pretty cool. And you just continuing to get. Get better as. As a player, I think. And, you know, the things you do in the run game, how you come downhill and tackle, for sure, are, you know, something that. That is something that we've needed all year long. And what you've been able to do not only this year, but since you've been here, I think is. Has been fun to watch and then also cover and just have a full understanding of the defense. I think you do a good job of just understanding everybody's role and being able to teach others, too. That's part of the. Part of the leadership, part of it.
Reed Blank
So appreciate that, man.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. I didn't say anything nice about you.
Reed Blank
You're forced to say something nice to me right now. That's all right.
Cooper DeJean
What player on our defense you think were you surprised about Jaylee Tyne in 2024 who wasn't on the team in 2024.
Reed Blank
Oh, who wasn't on the team in 24. Oh, wow.
Cooper DeJean
I think. I mean, I think Drew, I mean, from from the beginning until it obviously had the injury, but yeah, Tank, bro.
Reed Blank
Tank just on the defense, but Tank.
Cooper DeJean
Was fun to watch, though.
Reed Blank
Tank's fun to watch for sure. He. He runs that thing so hard.
Cooper DeJean
I'm trying to think. I think. I mean, we could go from the people that were on the team last year. I think Jalex made a huge jump.
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
From last year to this year, he's.
Reed Blank
Got more picks than me and you and more picks. Yeah. Anybody on the team. So.
Cooper DeJean
So, yeah, it's been fun to watch him this year. And obviously from our. Our rookie class, you know, I think obviously Drew, what he's been. Been able to do in Jihad, those two being able to, you know, step in and be ready to. To play, you know, whenever their. Their number was called on. Drew. Drew was in there until the injury.
Reed Blank
And, yeah, he was playing really good. He was playing some good ball, man.
Cooper DeJean
He was excited to, you know, see. See how those guys progress.
Reed Blank
Absolutely. Let's get into the. What's been going viral here recently. The whole milk the cow celebration.
Cooper DeJean
Milk the cow Selly. We didn't hit it after you.
Reed Blank
We didn't hit it. We're saving it.
Cooper DeJean
You were freaking. I was expecting your head in and jumping all over the place after you made that tackle. I was.
Reed Blank
You was doing the same thing. Yeah, I was.
Cooper DeJean
I was flexing and I was pushing you around. I was just amped up. But hopefully we can.
Reed Blank
We got to bring it out and.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, hopefully we can see it this weekend.
Reed Blank
Not a fun. Yeah, it is. We had to get somebody to pay for it.
Cooper DeJean
Well, I feel like we've set the. The stage of. Of what our celebration is. So there's.
Reed Blank
I mean, but we just added it, though. We just added it. We just added.
Cooper DeJean
We've said what it means, so it's like.
Reed Blank
It's like a milk check. Like we're both. Yeah, white guys.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, whatever.
Reed Blank
I think it's pretty funny.
Cooper DeJean
Let's talk about your. Your conversation with one of the Bills defensive backs.
Reed Blank
If it ain't. If it ain't our fans thinking that I'm you. It's players, and I guess people don't realize that there's two. Two white guys on defense.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, there's two. We wear different numbers, too, so.
Reed Blank
And I have a. Yeah, we have different numbers.
Cooper DeJean
And Reed wears a sleeve, too.
Reed Blank
I have a sleeve.
Cooper DeJean
He's got to Wear a sleeve.
Reed Blank
Oh, my gosh. Whatever. But it's like. I don't know. I guess it's hard to get it when we get to get mixed up. I don't know.
Cooper DeJean
We do wear the same helmet. I got the day.
Reed Blank
I don't know. But even when I got my helmet off, it's only when I have my uniform on that people will think I'm you. I feel like when I'm just in normal clothes.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
They recognize me.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. And then when. When Reed was running out this. This week before the. Before pregame warm ups, he decided to tell everybody in the tunnel to. To call me Reed, which he thought that.
Reed Blank
Feel. How's it feel? How's it feel? How does it feel? And I continued, and there's this one. One older gentleman. He kept calling me Coop just to be funny. And I'm like, okay, that's enough. Yeah. No more. Yeah. I mean, look, here's. Here's what I can say. Like, you know how you got your thing like, Coop, like, if y' all mess up, if the fans mess up and start saying that, just switch it and say read. You know, it sound the same.
Cooper DeJean
It does sound the same. At the end of the day, it could work.
Reed Blank
That's how I'm thinking in my head. Like, when I hear it, I'm like, okay, maybe they're fishing to switch it up a little bit, you know? Yeah, it's okay. I like it.
Cooper DeJean
We'll get that rolling.
Reed Blank
But, yeah, I mean, when we had that conversation, it was, you know, he's like, what's up, Coup? I'm like, well, but I'm the other one.
Cooper DeJean
I'm the other one.
Reed Blank
I need to get a T shirt made saying I'm the other one. Or thing I should.
Cooper DeJean
Should. Maybe we'll make. And we'll make an exciting Mike's version of it. Maybe b.
Reed Blank
And get a. Bring a jug of milk in with me one day.
Cooper DeJean
I'll get one that says, I'm Cooper, and you get one that says, how.
Reed Blank
About you dress up as, like, a cow?
Cooper DeJean
No. Why would I do that? The.
Reed Blank
No Sequoia could hold the bucket.
Cooper DeJean
We gotta answer that clip. That was a crazy clip that Saquon holding the bucket and then saying, move like bro's doing two jobs. Person holding the bucket. You're not the cow.
Reed Blank
You. Yeah. And we didn't even ask him to do anything because we was like, we need somebody to hold the bucket. And all of a sudden, Saquon's right there. And all of a sudden, what that's funny.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, it was.
Reed Blank
It was funny saying it again.
Cooper DeJean
Let's talk about the.
Reed Blank
Oh, the fumble. I tell you what, I. I don't think I would have thought about doing that, bro. For the moment.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. First off, Epps made a great hit on the, on the running back, flying downhill, flipped him over almost and then he fumbled. Well, it wasn't actually a fumble, but.
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
And then it's just me and this big ass old lineman, Spencer Brown. Shout out Spencer. He's. I believe he's from Iowa. Played at the University of Northern Iowa. But we were both going for the ball and like, I guess it was just kind of instinct. Like I don't want this big ass dude to try and jump on the ball while I'm jumping on the ball and him land on top of me. So I was like, why don't I just push him out of the way and go jump on the ball? And I guess it worked. Yeah, we got the ball and then Dion Dawkins came and jumped on me anyway, so that legit for no reason?
Reed Blank
It was legit for no reason.
Cooper DeJean
I know I didn't feel too good, but.
Reed Blank
No, but that was smart, bro. I don't think I would have thought about doing that. Yeah, I was just thinking about seeing like C ball get ball.
Cooper DeJean
It's kind of just what came to my head.
Reed Blank
But hey, man, it worked. Some people are just born different, man. You just want them ones.
Cooper DeJean
Let's hand out some end of season game balls. I think one that's really obvious. The first one.
Reed Blank
History books. Who? I think Jalex.
Cooper DeJean
Okay. Yeah, I think it's history. That one's obvious too, but I was gonna say Jordan Davis. Oh, my fault. They're both, they're both. They both deserve a game ball. Jordan Davis, first off, just. Dude, he's been playing well all season.
Reed Blank
He's been playing well. He's been keeping our. The vibes in the locker room.
Cooper DeJean
Big vibes guy. Great guys.
Reed Blank
Well, fun fact. He brings chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodle cookies.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
Every walkthrough day on Saturday.
Cooper DeJean
Friday or Saturday? Saturday, I think. Yeah. Very nice.
Reed Blank
Fun fact.
Cooper DeJean
Then obviously Jalex, first ever Philadelphia Eagle to lead the team in interceptions and sacks.
Reed Blank
That's wild.
Cooper DeJean
Which is pretty cool.
Reed Blank
He did play safety before.
Cooper DeJean
He did play safety in college. Fun fact.
Reed Blank
Fun fact.
Cooper DeJean
For those of you that didn't know, JX did play safety in college for a little bit before moving to. Before moving to defensive end. So Dallas, obviously. Dallas Goddard, single season Eagles receiving touchdown record for A tight end. He's been receiving touchdowns. He had. I swear he had at least four from that little, little shuffle pass.
Reed Blank
Yeah, no, he's elite for doing that.
Cooper DeJean
He is. Great player, Great guy. Great locker room guy too.
Reed Blank
Yeah, he's hilarious.
Cooper DeJean
Bg Obviously coming back. Uncle. BG came out of retirement, moving inside to defensive tackle.
Reed Blank
Getting sacks.
Cooper DeJean
Getting sacks. He had.
Reed Blank
Was it.
Cooper DeJean
He had two in one game. I know that. For. For certain. They have four. They've been playing well.
Reed Blank
Maybe. I don't know.
Cooper DeJean
I don't know how many he has.
Reed Blank
Yeah, I don't know.
Cooper DeJean
Then obviously our boy, Quinyanamo Bay. Yeah, he's been so good. Zero touchdowns and 500 plus snaps. The only corner in the league to do that.
Reed Blank
No, he's pretty good, ain't he?
Cooper DeJean
Pretty. Pretty insane to think about.
Reed Blank
Can do that.
Cooper DeJean
He's covered every team's best receiver all year. So.
Reed Blank
Yeah, he just shows up and goes to work.
Cooper DeJean
Yep.
Reed Blank
Takes my speaker every day too.
Cooper DeJean
And then I think our. The final one, obviously AJ and Devonte, you know, they're the only wide receiver duo in Eagles history to produce a thousand yards in the same season for three years. I don't know if it's three years straight, but they've done it three times together, so that's. That's pretty cool to see. Just, you know, type of guys they are and type of players they are on. On the field. They're fun to watch out there. Seems like they just catch everything thrown their way.
Reed Blank
Catch everything, dude. It's kind of like how I think I could do that too. Loki, New year, new stuff to get tickets to Cuke.
Cooper DeJean
We got a little bit of everything coming up. We got the playoffs, Sixers games, Jason aldean, WrestleMania.
Reed Blank
That's WWE Coupe.

Cooper DeJean
Oh, okay. Okay. White boy got a little motion.
Reed Blank
Hey, did you have. Did you have any music playing, bro?
Cooper DeJean
I did have music playing, actually, because.
Reed Blank
You know, it's funny because, like, I was trying to talk to you. He's like, I can't hear you. Why don't you listen to music right now? You never listen to music.
Cooper DeJean
Goes with the fit, bro.
Reed Blank
Okay, Whatever the wire, it does, it's good for you.
Cooper DeJean
It's better for you, obviously. Shout out Abercrombie and Fitch for the outfit. Obviously. We had to get the. The Kelly green little. Yeah, little toiletry bag in there, too. Kelly green week.
Reed Blank
Yeah. I had to throw it back to my. To my roots a little bit, man.
Cooper DeJean
Cowboy boots.
Reed Blank
Boots.
Cooper DeJean
What is it? Ostrich.
Reed Blank
Ostrich. Ostrich skin boots.
Cooper DeJean
Ostrich skin.
Reed Blank
Tova fit.
Cooper DeJean
Low key. Yeah. Yeah. Look at you. Shades. We're both rocking shades. Can't go wrong with the shades, I don't think.
Reed Blank
Can't go wrong with them, man.
Cooper DeJean
Can't. Looks nice. Looks nice.
Reed Blank
Yeah, I like it.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, we got some twins. Warren Nobe were at the Sixers game last night, obviously, and, yeah, he's he.
Reed Blank
Looks like I let him borrow my jacket.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I was gonna say joking.
Reed Blank
I'm joking.
Cooper DeJean
You let him borrow the jacket from. From the game. That was nice of you.
Reed Blank
No, I think he has his own, too. Yeah, just in my locker. Twin. Twin.
Cooper DeJean
Smitty put that on.
Reed Blank
He did all purple fit, man.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, that's tough. Purple's my favorite color. Fun fact.
Reed Blank
Is it really?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
When did that start?
Cooper DeJean
It's always been my favorite color.
Reed Blank
Wow. No, it's perfectly fine. I'm just asking, like, when did it become your favorite color? Like, what?
Cooper DeJean
It's been my favorite color, like, my whole life. That's what my school colors were in high school.
Reed Blank
Okay. Always. I like blue. Blue or red.
Cooper DeJean
I can't get down with blue or red. Sorry. Whatever. Nah. But Smitty looks smooth as always. Bg. What has BG got on?
Reed Blank
He's always laughing. He's probably talking. This picture.
Cooper DeJean
This guy, he's got a hoodie on. What kind of hoodie is that? I can't even tell. I don't know. Yeah, you can. He's definitely talking.
Reed Blank
He's got the bees.
Cooper DeJean
He's either talking or laughing.
Reed Blank
Yeah, he's got the BGP sign, though.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, yeah, you do. Yeah, you do. Calm little outfit like that. Is it matching? It might be a matching.
Reed Blank
I think it is matching.
Cooper DeJean
Matching set. Looking fresh Uncle. Looking fresh. Saquon Barkley. I kind of like this fit.
Reed Blank
I do, too. Oh, that's a Nike fit.
Cooper DeJean
Like a bomber jacket, dude.
Reed Blank
That's tough.
Cooper DeJean
The shoes match the hat, and it goes well with the jacket, so it works.
Reed Blank
I like it.
Cooper DeJean
Now it's time for say cheese with Cooper Sharp. In the last episode, we asked you guys to share pictures of the whole family. Kids, parents, grandparents, generations of Eagles fans all in one pick for a chance to win some cooperation. Cheese merch.
Reed Blank
So let's see what we got.
Cooper DeJean
Let's see it. Oh, we got a big family here on the. We got some Kelly Green on nice big family in Eagles gear. Love it.
Reed Blank
Shout out. Jackie Fred from Williamstown. Williamstown, New Jersey.
Cooper DeJean
Williamstown.
Reed Blank
Shout out.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, what is that? Is that a 33? Like, what do you call it? A vest. Looks like a vest. I like that one. Oh, wait, hold on. We're from Ida Grove, Iowa.
Reed Blank
Here.
Cooper DeJean
This is.
Reed Blank
Ms. Jessica Dreher Burke from Iowa.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, it is. I know these people. They're from what? My high school is in Ida Grove, Iowa. I live, like, 10%.
Reed Blank
You know them?
Cooper DeJean
Yes, I know these people.
Reed Blank
Oh. Shout out.
Cooper DeJean
Shout out.
Reed Blank
Shout out. Small Town.
Cooper DeJean
Love it.
Reed Blank
Who we got here from Christmas Day of 2023. Big fam there was watching the Eagles and Giants game during this time with Saquon at his X team. And to the right we got a pick at the link of last year on super bowl Sunday morning. Wow.
Cooper DeJean
Very nice. Very nice.
Reed Blank
Before we got the other Lombardi with submitted by Eric from Massachusetts. Nice. Thank you for that. Anything, Coop.
Cooper DeJean
All righty. Who's. You picked the winner. Who's the winner?
Reed Blank
You. Why do you want me to pick it?
Cooper DeJean
Because I want you to pick.
Reed Blank
Because you'll be biased. Yeah, I mean, okay, we cut that over there, but I would. I think the winner should be. I'll do the shout out hometown. Yeah, there we go. Let's do Iowa. Shout out to hometown.
Cooper DeJean
Shout out Iowa. Shout out Ida Grove. Shout out Odie Bolt. Shout out the Burke family, I believe.
Reed Blank
Yep. But thank you to everyone for sharing your pictures for say cheese with Cooper Sharp. And of course we'll get our winner some Cooper cheese merch.
Cooper DeJean

Find Cooper near you@coopercheese.com and discover why fans have been hooked for more than 130 years. All right, we got the playoffs coming up this week at Lincoln Financial field against the 49ers. The 49ers are coming to town. What is your message to the young rookies for their first time, you know, being in the playoffs and really just everybody in. In general who. Who might not have been in the playoffs?
Reed Blank
Yeah, I mean, I would say still, I mean, there's no. There's no need to, like, overthink this type of game, this type of situation. I mean, we've. We. A lot of us have been here before, and we just need to just take each day, day by day and do what we do. And obviously this is winter go home, but I mean, we're going to be super focused, super locked in and, you know, not a lot of joking around and stuff. Like it's time to. Time to go to work and, you know, yeah, we need to do.
Cooper DeJean
But I also think it's not like you can't, like, change no what's got you here either, you know.
Reed Blank
No, obviously you need.
Cooper DeJean
You got to turn up the focus a little bit just because, you know, you know what's on the line. Everybody has the same goal. Everybody wants to get to one, one place and. But it's really about the process. You go through each and every day throughout the week. That's. That's huge. And you know, we've done that.
Reed Blank
Still. Have fun with it all, for sure. Like, ain't a time to get tight or anything, you know? Yeah, let's just do it, man.
Cooper DeJean
How. How needed was that. That week off last week? Well, it really wasn't a week off because we still practice.
Reed Blank
Really. It's still. Still practice here and there, but got.
Cooper DeJean
Sit out Vers versus the Commanders on. On Sunday, which was.
Reed Blank
I almost had to go in.
Cooper DeJean
Kind of nice, but a little bit stressful because Reed did almost have to go on. We were.
Reed Blank
Yeah. Kind of the emergency guy. Unfortunately, Brandon went down and it's one of those things like, gotta be ready. And like, I didn't know. Like, I was like, you for real?
Cooper DeJean
Like, we're just trying to get warm the whole game.
Reed Blank
I was trying to get warm. I went straight to the bike. I. I never get on the bike, obviously, because I'm usually pretty solid warm the whole game. But yeah, I mean, with it being. It. It was pretty chilly with it being pretty cold, and then me like, not doing a whole lot throughout the game, like at all. I had to get my mind right, you know, real fast. I was ready to go, but I didn't have to go in, so.
Cooper DeJean
Yep, you're good. You're good. This Sunday, Lane Johnson could be the lineup.
Reed Blank
That's huge.
Cooper DeJean
We don't know for sure, but Lane Johnson could be back in the lineup. He's been out obviously with the. With an injury. He's been working though, most years, so. Yeah, I see him working every. Every single day.
Reed Blank
Every day.
Cooper DeJean
Just cool to see. Obviously, we got the 49ers coming to town. They got a lot of dynamic weapons on. On their offense. Good football team, great offensive scheme. Obviously, we've.
Reed Blank
We've seen Shanahan Tree.
Cooper DeJean
We've seen it a couple of times this year. Obviously, you know, it starts Christian McCaffrey, you know, and. And who he is and. And what he means to their offense. You know, I think it's. It's unheard of of, you know, seeing what he's done at. At his position. Yeah, I think he's.
Reed Blank
He's a Swiss army knife.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, he can do it all. You can line him up outside, line him up at running back, wherever he catches the ball really well at the backfield. So, you know, then. Then obviously they're their receivers and their tight end, George Kittle, one of. One of the best in. In the league.
Reed Blank
Yeah. Yeah. They move the guys around a lot and use the motion to their advantage. And we just got to be ready to, to be on that, be on our P's and Q's.
Cooper DeJean
I mean, yeah, anytime you get down to, you know, playoff time, you're, you're kind of expecting a, I think you.
Reed Blank
See a wheel going close, a close.
Cooper DeJean
A close game and a dog fight, which is, you know, what you kind of have to set your mind mind for. And you know, I think that's what we love. We've been, we've been in a lot of close games this season and just gotta, just gotta have the mindset to go in there and do whatever it takes to win.
Reed Blank
Yeah, just play our ball, man.

Holiday wrap. Bro, what did you get over Christmas, bro? What? What was your best Christmas gift? Quit trying to talk over me.
Cooper DeJean
My best Christmas gift. My best Christmas gift. What was my best Christmas gift? I mean, I didn't. I didn't put anything on my list for Santa Claus, so. Santa Claus just brought me some things he thought I needed. I got some, Some new slippers.
Reed Blank
You were wearing them before. Never mind.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, yeah, I've been wearing them. I've been wearing them like every single day.
Reed Blank
Give them a break, man.
Cooper DeJean
Got a, A little sweatsuit. I got some socks. Fresh socks.
Reed Blank
Hey, the socks. Socks come in handy.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, they do. New socks. Underwear.
Reed Blank
That is nice.
Cooper DeJean
So I. Yeah, that was. That was amazing. And I got some snacks, so it was. It was cool.
Reed Blank
I thought that was one of your New Year's resolutions, not to eat snacks.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, but my mom. I mean, Santa Claus knows that I like snacks, so they're. They're healthy snacks too.
Reed Blank
Okay? There's no way. They're not. They're not.
Cooper DeJean
There's. There's no way.
Reed Blank
They're gummies.
Cooper DeJean
Peanut butter filled pretzels.
Reed Blank
Okay, then what else?
Cooper DeJean
That's my favorite snack of all time right there.
Reed Blank
And those are the gummy bears. The gummy bears and fruit snacks.
Cooper DeJean
The box is gone already, though. So.
Reed Blank
See, like now you got to read three books. You got three books, dude, you got to read throughout the whole year. You got to. Bro.
Cooper DeJean
What about you? What'd you get?
Reed Blank
Dude, I got a sick coffee maker.
Cooper DeJean
Coffee maker. Wow, ninja. You're becoming a dad and now you gotta start drinking coffee.
Reed Blank
You gotta play the part, man. Yeah, I. I can't drink it black yet, but.
Cooper DeJean
So first thing, you put like creamer in it or something or. What do you put in it?
Reed Blank
Well, we make like a lot of. Dude, it can make anything.
Cooper DeJean
You make like a latte, don't you?
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
That's not even coffee, bro.
Reed Blank
It is.
Cooper DeJean
I don't even count.
Reed Blank
It's still good though. That's the first thing me and Elsa did was unwrap it and put it in.
Cooper DeJean
Just get you. Get you some black coffee and put a lot of sugar in it. That's. I feel like that's.
Reed Blank
No, I know it's gonna be bad.
Cooper DeJean
Is that all you got? Just a coffee maker?
Reed Blank
No, I got a. So, like, I'm big into knives. I got a lot of knives and especially back home.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, yeah, that was. That was a fun fact about. You used to call it.
Reed Blank
And so I got a. A big, like, wooden box, like a knife case looking thing I can put all my knives in and showcase them.
Cooper DeJean
Nice. That's sick, bro.
Reed Blank
I know.
Cooper DeJean
Did. Was there any strawberry pretzel salad?
Reed Blank
No, but there was chocolate and gravy. Chocolate gravy and biscuits.
Cooper DeJean
Chocolate gravy and biscuits.
Reed Blank
It's just. It's a southern thing. It's not. Look, when people. When I say gravy, people think like, sausage gravy. Like, there's sausage and it's not. It's legit. Like cocoa. You put cocoa.
Cooper DeJean
It's.
Reed Blank
It's straight sugar.
Cooper DeJean
It's biscuits. It's biscuits and chocolate is what it is.
Reed Blank
Yeah. You put it in a bowl and you eat it.
Cooper DeJean
That's not even gravy, though.
Reed Blank
That's what it's called.
Cooper DeJean
It's chocolate. Oh, this is chocolate.
Reed Blank
Over.
Cooper DeJean
Over. Oh, chocolate gravy. I thought you just said gravy.
Reed Blank
No, chocolate gravy and biscuits.
Cooper DeJean
Try it sometime.
Reed Blank
It's a staple. Knocked out of the park this year.
Cooper DeJean
No prime rib for me, unfortunately. I. I had tacos, I think, on Christmas.
Reed Blank
Yeah, you weren't. You were invited to our house, but you shot it down, so.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I just chilled at home.
Reed Blank
Sorry, man.
Cooper DeJean
Someone ordered a custom to Jean jersey with the space Da.
Reed Blank
Jean.
Cooper DeJean
D, E. Space. J, E, A, N. We're gonna have to get this guy a new jersey or something.
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Help him out here. But I like the thought. It's the thought that counts.
Reed Blank
Hey, at least you got your jersey, man.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
Not a lot of people have that.
Cooper DeJean
This is your. This was your last holiday, Last Christmas holiday and last New Year as a family of two.
Reed Blank
No. You know what's crazy? That's. We were more excited about what would it be like next year you play Santa Claus. I am. What do you mean?
Cooper DeJean
Oh, you are Santa Claus. Sorry.
Reed Blank
No, I'm not. I'm. I'm Santa Claus's helper.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, you're. You're an elf.
Reed Blank
Yeah, we talk. We talk to each other, you know, but no, it's gonna be sick because this ain't gonna be like.
Cooper DeJean
She's not gonna really understand yet, but.
Reed Blank
I know, but it's just being able to, like, bring that magic back is gonna be sick. Yeah. Who I'll be A little kid I won't make. I won't make my wife be Santa Claus. So I can just.
Cooper DeJean
Oh. Do you. Did you have any New Year's resolutions?
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
What are some of your goals for 2026?
Reed Blank
I guess I said read a little bit more.
Cooper DeJean
Still be too. I need to read a book.
Reed Blank
Like, I don't know why I do that. Yeah, you need to read more than three books, dude. You need to read, like, at least a book a month if you're going to do that. Not just three books in a year.
Cooper DeJean
I read. I'll read. I'll read four books this year. Market.
Reed Blank
So you already failed the first resolution. You said no.
Cooper DeJean
I'm gonna stop. I'm gonna stop eating snacks, too. That's a lot sometimes. I'm gonna cut back on it. How about that?
Reed Blank
Whatever, dude. Did you have any. Did you have a New Year's kiss?
Cooper DeJean
I did not have a New Year's kiss. And that's okay. Maybe next year. Maybe next year.
Reed Blank
That is okay. I don't even think. No, I don't even think. Me and Elsa kissed on.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, you go to bed at like, 9:00'. Clock.
Reed Blank
Sorry, didn't know that was against the rules. I did. K. The thing is, like, I always. We did before I leave.
Cooper DeJean
We did have work or football the next day, so.
Reed Blank
Yeah, I always kiss her before I leave in the morning. So, like, I kissed her, but she was like, you didn't kiss me at all. Well, I'm like, yes, I did. You were still asleep, though. Or you are half asleep. You legit looked at me. It's all right. She's going.
Cooper DeJean
It's nice of you.
Reed Blank
She's growing another human.
Cooper DeJean
I will not be addressing the rumors either, so.
Reed Blank
Yeah, so let's address.
Cooper DeJean
We're not addressing the rumors. We'll just let it ride out.
Reed Blank
You sure? I know. I'm joking.
Cooper DeJean
Podcast wrapped.
Reed Blank
Yeah, that's it. We're not shooting anymore. We're calling it quits.
Cooper DeJean
We're done.
Reed Blank
We're done joking.
Cooper DeJean
It's. It's been fun, though. It's like a first. It's our. Our first full year filming the podcast.
Reed Blank
And how we merged into the remote part of it. I feel like we do a really good job doing that.
Cooper DeJean
Merged into it.
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. I don't know what. We're gonna have to get some feedback. What do they. What do they think is best, the remote or the in person?
Reed Blank
I like the remote.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I mean, it doesn't really. As long as I get to talk to my buddy you know.
Reed Blank
Oh, is that. Is that why you pop on here?
Cooper DeJean
We were named Spotify, one of Spotify's best sports shows in 2025.
Reed Blank
That's tough, bro.
Cooper DeJean
Pretty cool. Shout out to everybody who listened and.
Reed Blank
And everybody who gets to interact with our post this podcast together. Shout out behind the scenes and the.
Cooper DeJean
AAR production team and everybody who helps what you do. They're amazing.
Reed Blank
They are a.
Cooper DeJean
All we do. All we do is come on here and film the podcast like we.
Reed Blank
Like we do every day. We just talk in front of a.
Cooper DeJean
Camera outside of that. So what. What are some of your favorite moments from the. From the pod. From shooting podcast over this past year?
Reed Blank
I'll say one of them was announcing that I'm.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, that was pretty cool. We're gonna start this podcast off with how we do it every single week with what's exciting you this week. I think. Hold on. I think we got to talk about Reed's little dancy dance that he.
Reed Blank
Wait, hold on. Before we get that to that, though.
Cooper DeJean
Okay, we got.
Reed Blank
You got some. Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Reed's got some exciting, exciting news.
Reed Blank
Yeah. I can finally let the cat out of the bag. Get some of his. I am going to be a dad.
Cooper DeJean
Reed's gonna be a dad.
Reed Blank
Yes. And especially a girl dad.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
Let's go. Let's go.
Cooper DeJean
Baby juiced. You excited?
Reed Blank
So that's why I was dancing like that too, you know. Of course I'm excited.
Cooper DeJean
You excited? That's a. That's a big step, dude.
Reed Blank
I've been waiting. I mean, you've known for weeks now.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I've known for a while. Yeah.
Reed Blank
But I finally get to let it out.
Cooper DeJean
You're gonna have another human being to take care of, not just me anymore.
Reed Blank
I know. Maybe learn. Learn some stuff. I feel like that was one of my favorite moments, I guess also too is getting some of the dudes on here. Some of the guys.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I think it was cool to. To get some of the guys on here. Also, I think talking to Jason Kelsey and the clip of him how he saying how he thinks they beat the. You know, they beat us 2017 team. We. If we lined up the 2017. 2018 team against our team last year.
Chris
Yeah.
Reed Blank
Be honest.
Chris
I saw you guys ask this Chris.
Cooper DeJean
What do you think, Chris? He said that I think last year's team would. Would win.
Chris
I think especially by the time we had been the Stru bowl, you know, we had already lost our starting quarterback. Jason Peters is out. Darren Sprouls was out. And like, listen, we. We won. But you know, it took everything we had to beat the Patriots. And you guys beat the team that's been the best team in the NFL for pretty much.
Reed Blank
I mean, what?
Chris
Almost. I mean, Pat Mahomes has been in the conference championship every year of his career. Just finished the seventh season.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Chris
And you guys, like, it wasn't even close.
Reed Blank
No.
Chris
So watching how you guys ended the season, I don't know how you could realistically think that we would beat you guys, but I'll tell you this, just being a competitor, we beat the out of you.
Reed Blank
I was honestly waiting on you to say that. Waiting on it. That's crazy. And the last. I'd say the last one was the. The cut of when we were talking about Philly slang. Oh, yeah, you said go Birds.
Cooper DeJean
Go Birds.
Reed Blank
Dickhead. What is your favorite? Like, Philly slang?
Cooper DeJean
Philly slang.
Reed Blank
I don't even know if I can say half of them right.
Cooper DeJean
I think some people, when they come up to me, they'll be like, they'll say, go birds, dickhead.
Reed Blank
Yeah. Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
A lot of. That's what it was.
Reed Blank
Yeah. A lot of people.
Cooper DeJean
I don't know if we can put that in there. It's like, a lot of people say, that's like, I like John. John's probably one of my favorite because. John.
Reed Blank
Is that how you say it?
Cooper DeJean
John?
Reed Blank
Did you say John or John?
Cooper DeJean
John.
Reed Blank
It's John.
Cooper DeJean
John.
Reed Blank
Wow. I might be fact checked on that. I don't know.
Cooper DeJean
De. John.
Reed Blank
Wish that my name has pretty sick water. Dude, when I tell you I have never in my entire life heard water be pronounced something totally different.
Cooper DeJean
Me neither. Water. Is it Philly people or is it people from South? Like south.
Reed Blank
Is it just like the. The region is in general.
Cooper DeJean
Is it Philly? Philly too.
Reed Blank
And I. I'm not.
Cooper DeJean
I'm not Philly, South Jersey. It's water. Water to water to them.
Reed Blank
But like the first time I. I heard it, I'm like, what?
Cooper DeJean
What? Did you say what?
Reed Blank
But you got me from Alabama and water.
Cooper DeJean
Alabama water. I've seen that all over the place.
Reed Blank
That's. Yeah, that's a stable.
Cooper DeJean
Who is your dream future guest on the podcast? Who would you like to get on here?
Reed Blank
Depends on what you're going for. Like, I feel like I.
Cooper DeJean
What are you going for?
Reed Blank
I. I can feel. I feel like I can go two ways. I feel like we should get. Have somebody like talk about conspiracies on here and just. I just want to be mind blown just to see like all these theories and then, I mean, that could have. We could get some. One of our teammates to do that. You know, they come here, talk about conspiracies. I guess that's kind of.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, I think. I think we got to get Arthur Brown on here.
Reed Blank
Yeah, I think that's what I was trying to go for. Definitely. Aj, let's say aj. Let's see future Arthur.
Cooper DeJean
Arthur.
Reed Blank
Arthur. Sorry.
Cooper DeJean
I don't know, maybe Shane Gillis.
Reed Blank
I was gonna say Shane Gillis because I want to laugh.
Cooper DeJean
Miles Teller maybe too.
Reed Blank
Miles Teller. Any. Honestly, anybody who wants to join. Sure. You can have a good time.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, you'd have a great time. What. What do you think is more pressure filming podcast or playing football?
Reed Blank
Playing football while filming a podcast. That is pressure.
Cooper DeJean
Playing football for sure.
Reed Blank
Playing football. Yeah. I mean, we. We come on the podcast and we just do the exact same thing we would do.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. We got a great team behind us who. Who makes things easy on us. So.
Reed Blank
Yeah. So definitely just playing football.
Cooper DeJean
What do you think? Who do you think's a better podcaster?
Reed Blank
Who you talking about, me or you?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I feel like, first off, I feel like we've both gotten better as the times went on, but I feel.
Reed Blank
Like I. I can't be good unless you're good or you're. You can't be good because I feel like we build off each other.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
Go say. You want to say is you, don't you?
Cooper DeJean
No. That's why we film together, because we're like. We're like white on rice. You know what I'm saying?
Reed Blank
I like that.
Cooper DeJean
That could be like peanut butter and jelly.
Reed Blank
Who's the jelly?
Cooper DeJean
We like ketchup on a hot dog. We're like a hot dog in a bun, you know?
Reed Blank
Yeah. I don't want to say that analogy.
Cooper DeJean
We're like.
Reed Blank
Is that what it's called?
Cooper DeJean
I don't know. What else do we like?
Reed Blank
I like white on rice.
Cooper DeJean
White on rice. Yeah, that's. That's a good one. Yeah. But I think we go well together. We're back with another fan Q and A Today. We have Mariana. Mariana joining us. How are we doing? Thanks for. Thanks for coming on.
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
I'm doing great. Thank you for having us. How are you guys doing?
Cooper DeJean
Fantastic. Fantastic. What's your hard hitting question you have for us?
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
Oh, it's very hard hitting. So I currently live in la, but I grew up in Villanova, so outside of Philly. So I grew up going to games at the Link and everything. Um, but since moving and just throughout life, have gone to so many other stadiums in so many other cities. It seems like no matter where you are, you always hear, as a fan, just absolutely wild things coming out of people's. People's mouths. Um, and as a fan, I always wonder if you guys tune it out or what of it you hear. So I'm curious. What's the craziest shit talk that you've been told? Whether it was. Is to you or to a teammate?
Cooper DeJean
I mean. Yeah, there's been some crazy. Yeah. I'm trying to figure out what we could say.
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
Yeah.
Reed Blank
I don't know.
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
Some might be, you know, nsfw.
Cooper DeJean
I don't know if I like the way how. I like how you set up your question. That was. That was cool.
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
Thank you.
Cooper DeJean
But it wasn't. This one wasn't directed at me. But this was last year, like, second game of the season. Someone was talking shit to Saquon, telling him that he needs to go back to the Giants after. I believe it was after the Falcons game. He had dropped a pass on, like, third down, third and short, and someone was mad in the stands, and they were telling him that. That he needs to go back.
Reed Blank
One of our fans said that.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. Pretty sure that was like a welcome, welcome to Philly moment, I guess you could say.
Reed Blank
I think.
Cooper DeJean
And then he went on to rush for 2,000 yards and won the super bowl, so.
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
And then I think everyone's probably pretty happy regardless.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. Maybe not ever.
Reed Blank
Sure.
Cooper DeJean
I mean, I don't know. Me and Reed are two white guys playing defensive back, which is.
Reed Blank
That's not really a good mix sometimes.
Cooper DeJean
So, I mean, you could only use your imagination. Just use your imagination. So.
Reed Blank
Got it.
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
So the worst things have been probably said in Philadelphia from our own fans.
Reed Blank
No, no, no, no. I wouldn't say that.
Cooper DeJean
That was just one example.
Reed Blank
Gotcha.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
Got it.
Cooper DeJean
So.
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
Well, that's. I guess I'll. I'll use my imagination for the rest.
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. There you go.
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Our next guest on exciting mics for the fan Q and A. We have Meg here with us. How we doing? Good.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
How are you guys? Happy New Year.
Cooper DeJean
Great. Happy New Year. Thank you.
Reed Blank
New Year.
Cooper DeJean
Happy New Year. Are you from. Are you from Philly?
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Yes. I live in Manayunk.
Cooper DeJean
Okay.
Reed Blank
Nice.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Yeah. So all the way up on the hill.
Reed Blank
On the hill, man.
Cooper DeJean
Reed, do you know how to spell that? Can you spell that for me?
Reed Blank
M, man. M A N Many you were M.
Cooper DeJean
A, N.
Reed Blank
U Y.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Almost. You're missing one. An A.
Reed Blank
Or is it. Is it like M A N, Y. Oh, M A N A Y, U.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
N K. Yeah, exactly.
Cooper DeJean
Wow. Good job. Good job, Re.
Reed Blank
Thanks, bro.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
That's easier than, like, Balakinwood. That one's tough.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I never even heard of that neither.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
That's okay. You don't need to. Other sides are over. You're fine.
Reed Blank
All right. Stay away from there.
Cooper DeJean
What is your hard hitting question for us today?
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Sure. So it's kind of two parts. So in the kind of vein of New Year's, one thing you think about is resolutions and also kind of things that you're proud of. So my first question is, if there were to be a locker room show and tell of something you're proud of, what would it be? And it can't be anything boring like a Super bowl ring with, like, diamonds on the wings that, like, pop out, like something like, really exciting.
Reed Blank
Really exciting. So it has to be from the locker room.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
No, no, no. It would. You would do this show until 8:00'.
Reed Blank
Clock. Oh, oh, oh, oh.
Cooper DeJean
Show and tell. Wow. This is something that we're proud of.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Yeah. Or just like, you're excited about.
Cooper DeJean
My puppy.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
That's a good one.
Cooper DeJean
Could I bring my puppy into the locker room show and tell?
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
I mean, I don't have those credentials, I would assume. Yes, but that's a great one.
Cooper DeJean
I'd probably bring my dog. Yeah, that'd be cool.
Reed Blank
I don't even know. What would I do?
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
This is supposed to be, like, fun, not stressful.
Reed Blank
This is very stressful because. I don't know.
Cooper DeJean
I have.
Reed Blank
I don't. I have no idea.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Okay, well, like, if you go to the beach and you find like a seashell, that could be one, like something from your family time. Or I guess it could also just be Cooper's dog.
Mariana (Fan Q&A Guest)
That's fine, too.
Reed Blank
I can bring my lightsaber.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Yes. Great. That's such a good one.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I love that out of you. It's a good one.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Second question. And this one's definitely more hard hitting. If there were a locker room talent show, this is kind of like, you know, New Year's Eve is about performances. So what would your talent show act be? Bonus points if you perform it right now. I will allow outfit changes.
Reed Blank
Oh.
Cooper DeJean
Well, I. I'd have to prepare for the talent show first off.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
That's fair. That's fair. We appreciate that.
Reed Blank
I think I would sing, but I'm not singing on this podcast. Oh, okay.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
What about like, a little like, you know, Star Spangled Banner?
Reed Blank
No, I think I would.
Cooper DeJean
You would sing?
Reed Blank
Well, what else would I do? I can dance. I'll Dance.
Cooper DeJean
Can you sing, though?
Reed Blank
Yeah.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
You can sing?
Reed Blank
Maybe a little. Not really.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Well, I feel like you have to play a couple bars now.
Reed Blank
Nope, they ain't getting that out of me.
Cooper DeJean
I'd do some basketball. Basketball tricks. Dunk. Dunking.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Okay.
Cooper DeJean
Do some dunks. Do some shots.
Reed Blank
I was not thinking that. I was thinking you can dance, though.
Cooper DeJean
You could dance. You got a little rhythm, dude.
Reed Blank
I think I can learn. I think I would try to learn, like, a Dancing with the Stars dance.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
That is so fun.
Cooper DeJean
Who would be your. Would you bring your wife to be your partner?
Reed Blank
Probably, if I could.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Do whatever season.
Reed Blank
Did I watch it, Alex? I guess I did because my wife was watching it.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Okay, so is there, like, a move that you guys could do? Like, I think it was, like, there was one with, like, Dylan Efron, and he, like, held his partner, and then she, like, went down as if she was floating.
Cooper DeJean
Like, I saw that.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Do you think you could pull that off with Elsie stuff?
Reed Blank
I think. I think I'm strong enough to do that.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
I think I. I am confident, and I will circle back on this, and I do hope to see this on the podcast later on a little act.
Reed Blank
Hey. What? Me and Elsa might just take dancing classes one day.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blank
Just show everybody.
Cooper DeJean
I like it. Now you got to try that move after the podcast is on you video. Yeah. All right.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
I think all the listeners and viewers would like it as well.
Reed Blank
They would say, I can get behind that. I like that.
Cooper DeJean
Thank you.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Thank you so much.
Cooper DeJean
Appreciate it so much.
Meg (Fan Q&A Guest)
Of course. All right, bye, guys.

Hosts: Cooper DeJean & Reed Blankenship
This episode marks the start of playoff season for the Philadelphia Eagles, with Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship bringing their signature humor and authenticity. They recap the regular season—the high points, the adversity, and notable team and personal achievements—while gearing up for the Wild Card matchup. Along the way, listeners get a front-row seat for inside jokes, team culture, and fan interaction, as well as heartfelt reflections on family, leadership, and locker room dynamics.
The hosts express their excitement for the postseason, emphasizing the “fresh slate” nature of the playoffs and the unique electricity at Lincoln Financial Field.
Reed and Cooper joke about being confused for one another by fans and even opposing players, riffing on their shared appearance as white defensive backs.
“If it ain’t our fans thinking that I’m you, it’s players. And I guess people don’t realize there’s two white guys on defense.” — Reed Blankenship (00:06)
They discuss the importance of rest ahead of the playoffs, highlighting how critical it is to have a fresh body and mind after a grueling regular season.
“You play 17 or 18 games in a year. You only get one break—and now we got two, so…” — Cooper DeJean (03:07)
Cooper is congratulated on his first Pro Bowl selection, joining several other Eagles defenders, which both take pride in as individuals and as a team.
The duo notes the Eagles are the first team since 2004 to repeat as NFC East division champions—an especially meaningful accomplishment.
“We are the first team since 2004 to repeat as NFC East division champs.” — Cooper DeJean (06:04)
Both hosts share their favorite milestones and memories:
“Reed is having a baby, so that should be number one!” — Cooper DeJean (08:11)
Each host assesses the other’s progress: Cooper shouts out Reed’s leadership, especially after the departure of veteran voices, while Reed compliments Cooper’s versatility across positions.
They highlight teammates who exceeded expectations, especially rookies Drew and Jihad, and Jalex for his leap in playmaking.
“You can take the workload of each position and still ball out.” — Reed on Cooper (08:35) “Just seeing your leadership, I think, was pretty cool.” — Cooper on Reed (09:20)
The now-viral “milk the cow” celebration is discussed. They explain its origins (a nod to their rural roots and locker room “milk check” jokes) and recount Saquon’s involvement, planning to debut it in the playoffs.
The confusion around “which one is which” continues, including plans for “I’m the other one” t-shirts.
“I need to get a T-shirt made saying ‘I’m the other one.’” — Reed Blankenship (15:03)
Reed and Cooper discuss strategies for playoff preparation and share advice for young players entering the postseason.
“We just need to take each day, day by day and do what we do... Time to go to work.” — Reed Blankenship (29:10) “You gotta turn up the focus a little bit just because you know what’s on the line… but it’s really about the process each day.” — Cooper DeJean (29:53)
