Reed Blankenship
I mean, that's, for me, like, I feel like the best thing I can do is just continue to do to. To bring that positivity into the. To the locker room. But at the end of the day is be real. I mean, it starts in practice. You can, you can sit here and speak about it, talk about it, whatever. But I feel like a lot of it can show in practice and how we practice and because we talk about all the time, that practice is. Is just like how you're going to play in a game and, you know, if we're not doing the little things and practice how they're going to show up in games. So I feel like that's going to be where our starting point is. Obviously we have meetings in the. And how it starts in the meeting room, but I mean, when bullets are flying, that's when, you know, things start really coming true. So I'm excited to get back to work, obviously. So that's how. That's how I like to look at it. So.
Cooper DeJean
Welcome back to Exciting Mics presented by citizens. I'm Cooper DeJean.
Reed Blankenship
And I'm Reed Blankenship. And we're back after some time off. You know, looking forward to the next great episode of the Exciting Mics.
Cooper DeJean
Remember to follow Exciting Mics on all platforms like comment, share and subscribe on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts. Let's get it started. We're going to start this podcast out how we do it every single week with what's exciting us this week, man.
Reed Blankenship
We just get another opportunity to play football, man.
Cooper DeJean
Another opportunity to play football this week against the Minnesota Vikings. That is what I'm excited for. Also through all the ups and downs, we get another opportunity this week to go out there and put our best foot forward on the field. And that's what I'm excited about.
Reed Blankenship
Good refresh. We had a good refresh. I feel like this past weekend, you know, much needed time off and then, I mean, we started hitting the ground running. What? Monday?
Cooper DeJean
Monday. Monday. We're back to it.
Reed Blankenship
Back to it.
Cooper DeJean
Little recap from weeks five and six. Obviously the fellas, we didn't get the job done. Didn't get the job done.
Reed Blankenship
No.
Cooper DeJean
It's plain and simple. Or six. Yeah. We got to put a full game together.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah. I mean, we can't lose focus. I'm not saying we did at all, but you just gotta continue to, to build off what you're doing and what your production is on the field, you know?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
I mean, it's the NFL. I mean, everybody gets paid to play and you can't take any snaps off and you just gotta continue to work, man.
Cooper DeJean
The really, the only thing that bothers me from that Broncos game is that, you know, we had the chance to, you know, get a stop and to get the ball back to our offense, you know, down one and have them only get a, get a field goal to, to win it. And you know, we didn't, we didn't do that.
Reed Blankenship
I mean, at the end of the day, it's our job, you know, to, to give back the ball to our offense as many times as possible as quickly as possible. And you know, you just, that's just how games are won. You know, defense plays defense and we just got to go out there and perform and, you know, continue to perform throughout the whole game and finish, finish.
Cooper DeJean
The game, stay focused the whole game. Even when things aren't going your way, you know, you still got to find a way to, to get stops, turn the, create turnovers, you know, and we didn't do that.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah. Still have that juice, you know. Still have the juice. Regardless of what's happening, you know, you gotta make little wins into to bigger things, man. You gotta, you just, it's all about that momentum swing.
Cooper DeJean
What were your, what were your thoughts on the strip sack fumble? That wasn't a fumble.
Reed Blankenship
I don't know. I thought it was a fumble and I. Look, I mean, I mean, I can still see the fumble.
Cooper DeJean
You watch. I've watched it back so many times, bro. I've watched it back so many times.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, but even in that scenario, I mean, you just, you gotta move on, you know?
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, exactly. And we had to, we had to move on and, you know, not everything's going to go our way and the way we like it all the time, so. Got to find ways to move on. And then, you know, going into New York on Thursday night, Thursday night game in. In MetLife, obviously, Divisional game. A lot of Eagles fans. A lot of Eagles fans. Good atmosphere. Thursday night games are always tough just because, you know, you still, your body's still hurting from those. Sunday. Yeah, the Sunday game. But so is the other team.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, I mean, that's just something. Same thing we did. I mean, it's not like we traveled a long way. I mean, it was only, what, an hour and a half bus ride, so.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I mean, they played well and. They played well too. They.
Reed Blankenship
And they. I feel like they had a little bit more energy at times. And like, that's why I was saying before we got to continue to have that. That energy that.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. You know, talked about it this morning.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah. Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
I mean, we got to find that energy throughout the whole game just to keep, keep everybody focused and nobody's going to lay down.
Reed Blankenship
Nobody's going to lay down. You know, regardless of who it is, it doesn't matter and it shouldn't matter. I mean, we got to have that mindset and I feel like we do. We just got to continue to build on it.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I mean, they, they played well, too. There's their quarterback, young guy, obviously.
Reed Blankenship
You.
Cooper DeJean
Know, knew how to found ways to make plays for him. And, you know, that's, that's what they did. You know, he's just tough guy, tough guy to bring down. He was able to make plays with his legs. Running, scrambling around, throwing the ball down the field. You know, we obviously had some miscues on defense, which, which didn't help with that, you know, so those are things that we, we got to clean up and. Yeah, we've been, we've been working on.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, no, we're, we're, we're figuring it all out still. I mean, at the end of the day, I mean, the world don't stop turning. You know, we we continue to, to work on it and continue to get better with it.
Cooper DeJean
So, yeah, the, the run game was, was really tough as well. We didn't play. We didn't play well enough against the run. Like, like we know we can, you know, and that was, that was the part that. That hurt us. And then you decided to run into me there later down my leg, bro.
Reed Blankenship
And it hurt so bad. Yeah, her so bad.
Cooper DeJean
Did hurt. Banged, banged knees there in the. I think it was third quarter. Third or fourth quarter?
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, third quarter, third quarter.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. Bang knees. But boys are good. Just a little bruise, you know.
Reed Blankenship
What's that gonna do? You know, we're good.
Cooper DeJean
We're ready to roll. Just, just like every other week. Couple bruises. Just gotta move on.
Reed Blankenship
It's part of it, I think.
Cooper DeJean
I think we, we really talked about it, you know, coming off of, you know, the, the losses. You know what we need to focus on just having that mentality to, you know, continue to keep teams down when we have them down.
Reed Blankenship
Right.
Cooper DeJean
And continue to bring that energy from the jump and then all the way till the, till the finish.
Reed Blankenship
We've been there before. I mean, we were down against the Rams and we fought tooth and nail to get back. I mean, if you don't stop teams from doing that, like I said, the NFL is. I mean, everybody gets paid in it. There's a lot of great athletes, and if you don't keep them down, then they're just going to keep climbing back up and that's going to give them life. So we just got to do a better job just to. To tap them, to tap them out early, you know, and just let them just stay. Keep them down. Yeah, but I mean, that's. For me, like, I feel like the best thing I can do is just continue to do, to. To bring that positive, the positivity into the, to the locker room. But at the end of the day is be real. Be real and proud. I mean, it starts in practice. You can, you can sit here and speak about it, talk about it, whatever, but I feel like a lot of it can show in practice and how we practice and because we talk about all the time that practice is, is just like how you're going to play in a game and, you know, if we're not doing the little things and practice how they're going to show up in games. So I feel like that's going to be where our starting point is. Obviously we have meetings in the. And how it starts in the meeting room, but I mean, when bullets are flying, that's when, you know, things start really coming true. So I'm excited to get back to work obviously. So that's how, that's how I like to look at it. So.
Cooper DeJean
Absolutely. We're, we're at sitting at 4 and 2 right now. Obviously you know, the, the back to back losses, but you know, we're at the same spot we were last year. Not to bring last year into, into this year because it's two completely different years. But we are at the same point. We're almost out to the halfway point to the season, you know, and I feel like this is where, you know, we kind of got to make steps forward as a right, as a team and as a, especially as a unit on, on defense. You know, everybody's got their experience now, you know, so we just gotta, we gotta play like we know how and yeah, continue to communicate on the field in practice. Bring that energy in practice. Have it translate over to. Even in walkers to game day.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, even in walkthroughs like 100 people. Like we need to understand like that's also a big contributor to, to how we play. Every.
Cooper DeJean
Everything matters.
Reed Blankenship
Everything matters. The way you approach, the way you approach a tackle in a walk through setting.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
You know, just getting your feet right. Everything, every little detail matters and I can't wait, like I said, I can't wait to start focusing on that and get back to the mentality of just, you know, putting the ball down, you know, regardless where it is. Put the ball down. We'll, we'll, we'll go.
Cooper DeJean
So let's go to play. Yep. What'd you do with your little extra time off after Thursday night game? Did you do anything over the weekend or.
Reed Blankenship
No, no, nothing crazy. I had a little event on Saturday, but other than that I stayed at home. Watched some football, college football. Then obviously watched some of the NFL games throughout the weekend. But it was kind of like a, the fall week, you know, like a fall weekend. The first taste of a fall.
Cooper DeJean
So that fall weather was kind of, kind of nice though.
Reed Blankenship
Ye.
Cooper DeJean
I kind of liked it a little bit.
Reed Blankenship
Watched Hocus Pocus.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, wow. Yeah, there you go.
Reed Blankenship
I know we got, we got pumpkins to carve too.
Cooper DeJean
So what you carve in your pumpkin, I don't know.
Reed Blankenship
Usually just go, go off of a. I haven't done it yet, but I usually have to get a stencil thing.
Cooper DeJean
But we're gonna have to insert a picture once. Once you get that done, I will do your pumpkin carving there.
Reed Blankenship
Hopefully.
Cooper DeJean
I don't, I don't know when the last time I carved a pumpkin was.
Reed Blankenship
That's crazy, bro. You gotta. You gotta have. You gotta keep that childhood experience alive, bro.
Cooper DeJean
Maybe I'll come over and carve a pumpkin with you someday.
Reed Blankenship
What?
Cooper DeJean
We'll carve an exciting Mike's pumpkin.
Reed Blankenship
Oh, that'd be fun. That's what I could do, actually. I could put it right here.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, put it right behind you, right beside Coop's Crunch. I. I had. One of my. One of my boys was in town, so we hung out for a little bit, you know, went out to dinner a couple times. Just chilled. Really? Didn't do anything. Anything too crazy.
Reed Blankenship
It's nice to have those days off. Like, you don't realize how much of a positive it is for your body.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
You know.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, dude. I mean, we needed it. I think so.
Reed Blankenship
Feeling good.
Cooper DeJean
So, Reid, what was the hardest part about moving from your hometown to Philly?
Reed Blankenship
Easy. It's gotta be the word john. Is it a verb or a noun or both?
Cooper DeJean
Oh, for sure. Definitely John. As two guys who went from farmland to the big leagues, there are a lot of things we can't make sense of.
Reed Blankenship
Like if you're supposed to go Swiss or wiz our fellow players, fashion choices. Sorry, guys. And like we said, when it is and isn't appropriate to use the word John.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, not sure that'll ever make sense to us. We're trying, though. But one thing we hear you can make sense of is your money. Thanks to citizens.
Reed Blankenship
From making a plan to staying on track, we hear citizens has a personalized guidance and tools to make sense of.
Cooper DeJean

Cooper DeJean
Welcome back to Exciting Mics, presented by citizens, my guy, A.J. brown.
Reed Blankenship
Hey, yo.
Cooper DeJean
Hey, O. This has been. This has been our routine the past. I feel like we've done it every single game almost.
Reed Blankenship
I think he's came up to me and done the same thing, but it's only when, like after the national anthem and stuff. So. Yeah, I didn't. This is what. This is when you, you go out for returns?
Cooper DeJean
No, this is after I catch the first ball down the sideline in our pat and go. But yeah, it's. I mean, AJ's been a great teammate. Great guy to. Great guy to be around in. In the locker room. Very intelligent, very funny. I love the conversations that. That we have. Great teammate just to have in our. In our locker room.
Reed Blankenship
No, I'm great. I'm glad we have them.
Cooper DeJean
It's time for Reed's favorite segment, the exciting fits. Let's check out some of the fits.
Reed Blankenship
From what we got going on the past couple weeks. Oh, denim cowboy rock.
Cooper DeJean
The. I guess it's called the Canadian tuxedo. Denim de Jean in the jeans. All denim on denim.
Reed Blankenship
What's a little bag?
Cooper DeJean
I didn't know how it look, but it turned out not too bad. Maybe, maybe I could have thrown on some cowboy boots.
Reed Blankenship
Came up to you before, like.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, you liked it.
Reed Blankenship
He liked it.
Cooper DeJean
That's a win. That's a win. Oh, but maybe, maybe I could have thrown on some boots. Maybe a little cowboy hat.
Reed Blankenship
I got you. I got you with the boots. If you. Oh, you don't even wear my size.
Cooper DeJean
Smitty. Smitty.
Reed Blankenship
Is that like a gold or is that yellow?
Cooper DeJean
I was just about to ask that if it's gold or yellow. It looks. Looks a little more gold to me. Maybe like a gold.
Reed Blankenship
Like a shiny, shimmery, shiny, shiny little.
Cooper DeJean
Gold with the white button up. I think the. I Think the shoes are like a key part of this. I think the brown shoes are like the perfect little. What do you call it?
Reed Blankenship
It's like wheels on a car, man. Yeah. The wheel, right. Bar brings it out. You're right. Just in my opinion.
Cooper DeJean
But Smitty's. Yeah. Clean as. As always.
Reed Blankenship
That's always. My suit would be wrinkled if I try to do that, so.
Cooper DeJean
Really, bro?
Reed Blankenship
Really, bro.
Cooper DeJean
We got Diwani Sariah here. She created these Philadelphia Flyer shirt for the. For the home opener.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, Those are tough.
Cooper DeJean
They look pretty sick.
Reed Blankenship
Is that the skyline? Yeah, that's sick.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, got a big win.
Reed Blankenship
They did.
Cooper DeJean
They beat the Florida Panthers, I think.
Reed Blankenship
The.
Cooper DeJean
The Florida Panthers. Yeah. They won the Stanley cup last year.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
I think they might have won it back to back years, bro.
Reed Blankenship
It just. It feels like we were just talking about this.
Cooper DeJean
I know it does, actually.
Reed Blankenship
That's crazy.
Cooper DeJean
They. Bro, they play so much. They put up five goals, though.
Reed Blankenship
That's huge.
Cooper DeJean
Goals in the home opener. That's. That's huge. Gonna have to me and you are gonna have to go catch again. Have you been to a Flyers game?
Reed Blankenship
Never been to a Flyers game. I need to go.
Cooper DeJean
What?
Reed Blankenship
I know. I've only been.
Cooper DeJean
You gotta go watch, like up on the glass, though. That's the best. That's the best freaking part.
Reed Blankenship
Don't you like, hit the.
Cooper DeJean
The glass? Yeah, bro. It's like football on skates.
Reed Blankenship
That's so tough. Well, I run around and smack each where I went, but I was like. It was crazy to see how many times they like sub in and out, in and out, in and out.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. When'd you go? I thought you said you didn't go.
Reed Blankenship
I went. I know not. So a Flyers game? Oh, yeah. I went back.
Cooper DeJean
You went to Nashville?
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, and I had no idea what was going on. And.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, I don't. I don't really know the. A lot of the rules of hockey. I just like. I just like everybody just smacking each other.
Reed Blankenship
They weren't really smacking each other when I went. I guess it's like a Philly thing, though.
Cooper DeJean
You know the Broad Street Bullies. That's their nickname, ain't it? Pretty sure it is.
Reed Blankenship
I gotta go.
Cooper DeJean
Sick shirt, though. I might have to. Might have to get one. Maybe I need a little more. Some more Flyers gear.
Reed Blankenship
I did, too.
Cooper DeJean
I want to check them out.
Reed Blankenship
I want a hockey jersey.
Cooper DeJean
Oh, I gotta. You gotta try custom hockey jersey.
Reed Blankenship
Your own number and stuff.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, bro.
Reed Blankenship
That's so tough.
Cooper DeJean
So sick. It is sick. Oh, Sixers. New black Alternate uniforms back when AI was in town.
Reed Blankenship
You can't go wrong with that, bro.
Cooper DeJean
Bro, I actually. I believe I have a jury. One of these jerseys coming also. Well, 33, because I don't play basketball.
Reed Blankenship
Because I can't believe. Is that what it is?
Cooper DeJean
Sixers throwbacks. These are freaking sick, though.
Reed Blankenship
Those are sick.
Cooper DeJean
I want the. I want the Sixers to just go freaking crazy this year, bro. Yeah, you need to watch more basketball, too.
Reed Blankenship
I know.
Cooper DeJean
That's another thing we're gonna have to go to is a couple Sixers games. Check them out.
Reed Blankenship
I'll be down for it.
Cooper DeJean
I love those jerseys, though. It's like. It's like a throwback, but it's like a mixture between throwback and, like, the new style of jerseys. I feel, like, kind of sick.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, those are tough, though. I like the all black look anyway.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, all black hair thing should make those permanent jerseys. Oh, I just saw this on Twitter also. Hip Hop, the mascot is back for the Sixers. I saw a video of this on Twitter.
Reed Blankenship
Oh, I haven't seen this.
Cooper DeJean
This is the first time doing front flips and. And on the trampoline, like, dunking the ball at the trampoline.
Reed Blankenship
Oh, that's tough.
Cooper DeJean
You know I'm talking about.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
This is an interesting mascot, though. It looks like. It looks like the bunny off of. What's that one?
Reed Blankenship
Looney Tunes.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, maybe. Maybe that's what I'm thinking of. Or that one. What's the one? What's the one Basketball movie?
Reed Blankenship
Oh, my gosh. I'm tripping right now, dude.
Cooper DeJean
LeBron just was in it. MJ was in the first one.
Reed Blankenship
Oh, my gosh. I am. Dude, I cannot believe I forgot this.
Cooper DeJean
Someone help us, please.
Reed Blankenship
I had it on my tip of my tongue.
Cooper DeJean
Back to the future. No, wait, is that it? Space Jam. Space Jam.
Reed Blankenship
Back to the future, bro.
Cooper DeJean
Space Jam. Doesn't it or no, Doesn't Space Jam have a bunny in it?
Reed Blankenship
Yes, it's Bugs Bunny. It's all the Looney Tune characters.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, yeah, Looks like that, kind of, but I don't know. Looks like he's got some juice to him, though. I have to catch him in action sometime, bro.
Reed Blankenship
They should.
Cooper DeJean
They should just bring back all the Sixers throwback jerseys. Look at that purple one he's got on. That purple one looks sick, too. Yeah. Hip Hop the mascot is back, though. Let's go purple. Love it. It's got the shades on everything. Headband.
Reed Blankenship

Cooper DeJean
Welcome back to exciting mics presented by Citizens Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings. Going back to the Midwest, that's where you're from, really? No, but I think. No, we're looking forward to, you know, getting back to it and, you know, starting our preparation. Obviously it's already started, but, you know, try and get back in that win column. But they got, they obviously got a lot of, a lot of star power. Their receivers are all line, can run the ball really well. Their offense is really good.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, they haven't named a starting quarterback yet, but I mean, we, there's videos, we have film on both.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. So, I mean, the offense, I feel like the offense isn't really going to change a whole lot.
Reed Blankenship
No.
Cooper DeJean
You know, between, between the two.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Obviously they got, you know, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T.J. hawkinson, Iowa guy.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
But we just gotta, you know, prepare, you know, like we have every single week and, you know, be ready for those guys and, and what they bring to the, to the table for their off and for their team because obviously they're, they're all dynamic with the ball in their hands. They all can catch the ball really well. So.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, this would be my first time playing in Minnesota.
Cooper DeJean
Mine too.
Reed Blankenship
Obviously.
Cooper DeJean
It's gonna be sick. Their stadium. Look, their stadium. Sick. I went to, I actually went to a game there. Vikings, Lions, like a couple months before the NFL draft. My era, I was getting drafted. It's kind of sick. Um, yeah, but you know, Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, obviously we got AJ And AJ And Smitty. You know, I think, I think Justin Jefferson's right up there with the top, you know, receivers in the league.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, he can, he can make some, make some plays, bro.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah. Catches the ball really well. Runs. Runs really kind of everywhere and they.
Reed Blankenship
They move him around. They'll do anything with them, use them.
Cooper DeJean
A lot of different ways just to, you know, try and try and get on the ball. So.
Reed Blankenship
Right.
Cooper DeJean
We have to be ready for that. And their stadium, they blow like a big horn. Horn.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
But I don't think it's going to be crazy loud with when we're out there.
Cooper DeJean
Not for us, not for the defense, but for the offense now who knows, we might travel, but yeah, we'll see.
Reed Blankenship
Usually it's not as crazy. It's not crazy loud when, when we're out there.
Cooper DeJean
Away games they try to be quiet for, for their offense so shouldn't be too bad for us. But obviously our offense is. I mean they dealt with it all year. They deal with it at, at home just right with how loud our, our fans are. So I'm sure they'll, they'll be ready for it.
Reed Blankenship
Absolutely.

Around.
Cooper DeJean
The league League we got a little Sunday night. Sunday night, Sunday night bra.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Sunday night smackdown in Kansas City. We got a little fight that broke.
Reed Blankenship
Out and obviously it's, it's hard because I mean, you saw what happened. You saw what happened. The Block in the back, whatever. I mean, that's.
Cooper DeJean
I wonder if anything else happened before that.
Reed Blankenship
I don't know.
Cooper DeJean
I don't really know either. But. But honestly, it's. It's an emotional game, you know, and, you know, and you just gotta. You just gotta find a way to. To hold back in. In situations like that, you know, it's. It's tough, you know, when. When things like that happen and. And you get upset, you know, on the field, but, you know, you don't want to do anything to. To hurt your team. Obviously.
Reed Blankenship
Bro.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, that's. That's tough. Titans let go of their head coach, obviously. I've never really been a part of a change mid season. Yeah, I guess you have.
Reed Blankenship
It's. It's tough. It's. It's tough, but you just gotta lean on each other, man.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
You know, at the end of the.
Cooper DeJean
Day, I feel like that's really when your. Your camaraderie and.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Locker room gets tested is when, you know, something like that happens, just sticking together. And then James Franklin.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
You know, he was at Penn State for 10 or 12 years.
Reed Blankenship
I think they're playing y' all this week.
Cooper DeJean
Yeah, we play them. We play them this week night game in Kinnick Stadium. They're striping the. Striping the stadium out, but who knows?
Reed Blankenship
Didn't ucla. Did they tr. Did they change ocs?
Cooper DeJean
They changed. They fired their head coaches, I think. I think they got a new OC too. So, I mean, you know, so they respond. You really never know. I mean, you still gotta. You still gotta be prepared. I think they. Their quarterback is out now for the season, too, so they got a new cornerback coming into Kinnick Stadium. Hopefully. Hopefully. I know. I know our fans will make it. Make it tough on them with their communication and everything like that. So. But yeah, we'll see. We'll see how it. How it goes this weekend. We're back with another segment of our fan Q and A today. We have Ms. Caitlin joining us. Caitlin, how are you doing? Where are you from? Good. How are you guys? I'm from Drexel Hill, so right outside of the city.
Reed Blankenship
Oh, nice.
Cooper DeJean
Drexel Hill. How far is that from, like, the city? Yeah, it's like 25. It's in Delco, like 25 minutes. Delco. Are you from Delco?
Reed Blankenship
Yeah.
Cooper DeJean
Wow.
Reed Blankenship
Of course. Wow.
Cooper DeJean
Okay. You got a question for us? I do. What is the coolest thing and the weirdest thing that you guys have ever been asked to sign by a fan?
Reed Blankenship
I don't know. I Know, I don't know if this is like cool or weird, but I've had. I've signed like a few people's like legs or arms to go get tatted.
Cooper DeJean
I have also done that. All right, that's pretty cool.
Reed Blankenship
I don't know if that's core weird though.
Cooper DeJean
We did that at. Didn't we do that at that one?
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, but like, I'm setting of it, but I'd done it before. Yeah, but I think through with it, bro.
Cooper DeJean
But there was one where we did it right next to each other and I think he got them both tatted.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, no, I don't need to see an update on that.
Cooper DeJean
Actually, it's kind of cool. I. There's been some pretty cool, like fan, like paintings or drawings that I've signed that are pretty cool. The weirdest thing, I Pretty sure I've signed a. A baby's arm before, which was pretty. I don't know why. I'm sure they just washed it off after, you know, so that's no top for the baby? Yeah, not for the baby. I guess that's. That's weird kinda. Reed, you got anything weird?
Reed Blankenship
I'm trying to think, man. I know I've signed some weird stuff. Oh, I signed a loaf of bread before. What?
Cooper DeJean
A loaf of bread for what? He.
Reed Blankenship
What was the thing he was saying? I was. He was. He was comparing me and you, so he's like, you're the butter, the smooth.
Jamie (Fantasy Expert)
Whatever.
Reed Blankenship
I'm the bread. I forgot what the description of that was, but probably saying I'm slow or something. So I signed a loaf of bread, white bread, so.
Cooper DeJean
Wow.
Reed Blankenship
Yeah, that's actually.
Cooper DeJean
That's kind of sweet, actually. It's interesting. Yeah.
Reed Blankenship
For you, not for me.
Cooper DeJean

Podcast: Exciting Mics
Hosts: Reed Blankenship & Cooper DeJean
Date: October 16, 2025
This week, Super Bowl champion defensive backs Reed Blankenship and Cooper DeJean return after a tough couple of games to talk about their mindset, locker room energy, and how the Eagles are preparing to face the Minnesota Vikings. The conversation is packed with honest reflections, playful banter, and a deep dive into Philly life and team spirit. There are lighter moments on pumpkin carving, Philly slang, and, as always, a sharp look at NFL fashion and pop culture.
Post-Bye Reflections
"It starts in practice... If we're not doing the little things in practice, how are they going to show up in games?" (01:24, 09:25)

"Still have the juice, you know. Regardless of what's happening...turn little wins into bigger things." (05:06)
"We've been there before...If you don't keep teams down, then they're just going to keep climbing back up and that’s going to give them life." (09:22)
Practice Makes Perfect
"It starts in practice...the way you approach a tackle in a walk-through setting—every little detail matters." (09:25, 11:49)
"Everything matters. The way you approach, the way you approach a tackle in a walk-through..." (11:48)
