Yeah.
B
Push touchdowns. How about it?
A
I think, I mean, what, are they going to try and ban that now, too?
B
It makes it exciting. It makes it exciting.
A
I mean, you gotta think, how do you prepare for that?
B
I don't know. I really don't.
A
You try and stop a play that is, yeah, dang near unstoppable. And then they add another layer upon another layer of different things they can do now.
B
You never know what they might. Might come up with next. Reed might get in on the tush Push next.
A
Maybe.
B
Welcome back to exciting Mics, presented by citizens. I'm Cooper Dean.
A
And I'm Reed Blank Shield. And we're excited to be back for another episode of the exciting Mics after a crazy win over the Bucks. But we're four zero.
B
Remember to follow exciting Mics on all platforms like comment, share and subscribe on YouTube or wherever you listen to your podcasts. Let's get it started. We're gonna start this episode off with how we do every single week with. What's exciting you this week, Reid? What's exciting you?
A
We get to play again. But we're. We're back at the link, man. We. We don't have to travel anywhere.
B
Back at the link after a big time road win. The.
A
Hey, we travel well, though.
B
Oh, yeah, we say that the boys got a big dub. Three and over, three and zero. You know, the Bucks are. They're a really good team. They'll probably be a. Be a playoff team down. Down the road. Going in there and, you know, playing down there is. Is not easy at all. You know, as we've seen the past, you know, couple years, you know, but there's. It was a, you know, there's. There's a lot of elements that we, we adapted to. Well, you know, I think it's just a mindset about going in there and.
A
It truly is, though. But like, you also got to prepare. Like, you got to prepare yourself. You got to prepare your body. Yeah, don't really. I mean, don't. Nothing really needs to change, but you just got to have that in the back of your mind, hydrate a little bit more. Obviously it's gonna be a little bit hotter. It's not as hot. Well, that last Thursday practice here, though.
B
Yeah, it was a little steamy.
A
Really hot. Really hot, steamy here, but didn't really compare to.
B
Yeah, Florida, obviously, the boys moved to 4 0. Coach Sirianni's message after the game. Don't let good get in the way. Great. Obviously there's still a lot of work to do and he's right. We'll continue to work and, and get better. Hot start in Tampa Bay. It's only right, you know, going down into the heat, the boys get off to. To a hot start. It was, it was a good atmosphere for, for the Birds.
A
Great atmosphere.
B
There was a lot of, a lot of green out there, bro.
A
Did you hear our first third, like not our first but like the third downs that we had? Yeah, it sounded like we were at the link.
B
It was loud. Especially when it. Especially later in the game too.
A
100%, dude. The only thing difference was we didn't get the.
B
It's. Yeah, I, I heard a couple coupe chants too. There was, there was a lot of Eagles chants. You know, we were, we were down there for three. Two days.
A
We were down two days and there was. You really. Did you think that really helped everywhere?
B
I don't know. It must have.
A
It might have. Yeah. I think it kind of did though. If you take away the whole trap, like the travel part, like. Yeah, obviously that Saturday we were already there in the hotel and everything. I think that had a huge factor because, I mean, you don't get as dehydrated, you know, you can replenish.
B
Oh yeah, 100. Did you do anything different to, to prepare like for the heat or did you just keep it the. The same throughout the week?
A
I kind of locked in on what I was eating throughout the week. I tried to limit as much like I say bad stuff. I didn't really have a lot of bad stuff, but I try to carb. Put a lot of carbs. Towards the end of the week, like Thursday night, I wanted to eat like a big thing of pasta. I just felt like after a hard practice, like a Thursday practice, like we usually have to replenish as much as I could. I also got an IV that, that day too.
B
So the day of the game?
A
No, Thursday. Oh, Thursday, like after practice and then. Because you know the whole story about last year with me.
B
Yeah, yeah. Last year was a good.
A
It wasn't. It wasn't good. But. But yeah.
B
How many IVs did you get?
A
Only got two this week. Only got one on Thursday, then one on or the night before the game.
B
Oh, you don't. You didn't get one on game day?
A
No, but I did. I did drink, you know, my pickle juice. I don't drink pickle juice like that. But I was like, you know what? I'm going to do it. I think it helped me out a lot.
B
I drank so much pickle juice on the Day of the game, I had like four little. Four of those little shots of pickle juice.
A
They're not bad.
B
And I ate a pickle before the game. Before the game.
A
I, I. Brady's pickle. And.
B
But I sat in the sauna all week. I feel like. I don't know. I'd sit in the sauna every week, but I feel like it helps a little.
A
I mean, you know, it's not like it's not hot up here right now.
B
You know, you get that heat exposure.
A
Yeah.
B
In the sauna. Drank a lot of water, ate a lot of carbs.
A
Obviously, Pedialyte's my savior as well.
B
You had your, your Pedialyte. But the boys got off to a hot start down there. I think it was four or five plays in.
A
Yeah.
B
Cam Latu with the, with the block punt. Our boy, Sydney Brown.
A
Yeah.
B
I mean, it was a. It was a hop, right.
A
Walk in, hopped right into his can.
B
Of corn, as they. As they say, and a corn warned.
A
I'm surprised I've seen that movie.
B
But that was. That was huge for us, you know, to. To get off to a good start early. Early in the game, you know, score a touchdown that early, put some points on the board.
A
And they were right back out there, baby.
B
No, we were right back out there. I feel like, you know, the defense, you know, we played well that, that first half. They got to the second half, you know, we might have got. Might have got a little tired, you know, from. From.
A
It was a little steamy. It got a little more.
B
Little hot after, I think got hater. I think he got hater. I think it got hotter in the second half.
A
It was cloudy in the first half, which was cloudy.
B
Yeah, it was chill. Got hotter in the second half, though, and the heat started to come down. Boys got a little tired, had some long drives in there, but whatever, man.
A
Whatever.
B
Found a way. Found a way, bro. Fake, push, push touchdowns. How about it?
A
I think, I mean, what, are they going to try and ban that now, too?
B
It makes it exciting. It makes it exciting.
A
I mean, you gotta think, how do you prepare for that?
B
I don't know. I really don't.
A
You try and stop a play that is dang near unstoppable, and then they add another layer upon another layer of different things they can do now.
B
Yeah, I mean, you could almost make a whole package for the Tush push, you know, just come up with different plays off of it and, you know, might be able to march the ball down the field using that. That same.
A
Be a fast play.
B
You never know what they might. Might come up with next. Reed might get in on the tush push next.
A
Maybe I can't do that.
B
I mean, I think, I mean, how can you get rid of a play like this? Like, obviously everybody's got a problem with the tush push, like the pushing and you know, the regular play.
A
But, but they let you push. They let you push when you know you can.
B
Yeah, you can push. But like it's evolving now. We got multiple every.
A
Like, no, like everybody can still do this. It's not like exactly the only thing that can do that.
B
Exactly. And now that now the boys are starting to run little, little counters off of. Off the tush bush, which is, which is fun to see.
A
Yeah. And you got Sirianni in the press cars. A whole lot of excitement, bro.
B
A whole lot of excitement. He was juice for that, for that juice, bro. That moment right there. He's. You could tell he was glad someone, someone said something about it. Yeah, I feel like it'll calm down the, the hate on the tush push after that.
A
Maybe. I mean, probably not.
B
I mean, you could, you can run a couple different plays off of it.
A
I mean, start. They're going to start complaining about that now. It's like whatever, yeah, whatever, whatever. You know what makes sense to us? The field. Those hail Mary plays that seem impossible. We know what made them possible.
B
Totally. Football makes sense. Anticipating the run because when the far side wide out goes in motion, these guys always run it up the middle. That makes sense. But not everything does. Like money. How much should you have in savings?
A
Should you use your first paycheck to buy a life size marble statue of yourself?
B
Probably not. Luckily, when you have money questions, we hear citizens has answers. Welcome back to exciting mics presented by citizens. I don't know if I really agree with this or this call, but you had to bring the OAI out AI stuff over.
B
I wasn't even like, I wasn't even thinking about like doing that though. I feel like you got, you got so many emotions put into, into football, you know, in the game itself and you know, going on the road in a hostile environment and playing another 3, 0 team and you make a play and you know, then you, you want.
A
To, you want to show your, your passion, your. I'm not.
B
I mean, whatever.
A
Like, you want to show like your swag a little bit, you know, swag.
B
Competitive spirit, all that stuff.
A
I, I just don't know, bro. Like, I didn't even know you got flagged until obviously they called your name and everything. But I'm like, I don't know.
B
Yeah, I don't know. Obviously I gotta, I gotta do, you know, better and, you know, try and control my emotions, you know, rather than doing that just run and celebrate with my, my teammates instead. But there's some cool, cool memes off of it, bro. I thought, yeah, stuff over. I didn't even think about that during.
A
It's so tough.
B
Yeah.
A
But like, I thought it was gonna be another one of those ball doesn't lie situations with the interception.
B
I know.
A
And I make me run so much more than I wanted to.
B
I kind of, I kind of knew that I dropped it, but you never know. You.
A
I mean, yeah, you're right. Good awareness by you, but as a.
B
Defensive player, like you never, you don't get that many opportunities to run with the ball in your hands. So I kind of tried to get sticky a little bit there after, after the. Bro, it was fun to run around, but I was, I was dog tired after After I was running around with the ball and then, you know, we had something.
A
It's like a sudden burst of adrenaline and then all of a sudden it's.
B
Like all of a sudden we're back out there and we back out there. We gotta continue to play and try to get a. Try to, to get a stop and I think we held him to three. We held him to three.
A
Held on to three. I mean, which was big for somebody kick a 65 yard field. Bro.
B
Right before the half. I mean I thought, I mean obviously the, the two minute defense, the first play, obviously I was, I could have kept the guy in balance to run some more time off the clock. But I mean we played the situation well, I thought. And then very well. For him to, to kick a 65 yard field goal, you kind of just gotta tip your cap.
A
Yeah.
B
To him.
A
Just gotta do a better job of not letting them get there. Yes. I mean, yeah. But.
B
Longest outdoor kick in NFL history. That's. I mean it's kind of crazy.
A
I wonder how close it got to the goal post though. Like I wanna. It had to be really like graze it. I wonder.
B
Did you see. Because if you watch the clip where he. Because he kicked it right over the center obviously. Or the snapper, like obviously that's where you're trying to kick it. But if he kicked. Would have kicked it a yard or two, I think. To the, to his right. Yeah. Jalen and JC might add another, another black field goal. But no, it was, it was a good kick. You know, you gotta tip your. Tip your cap to him.
A
Yeah. Give credit when credit's due, you know.
B
Yeah. Yep. It is time for the citizens play that matters most. The fourth quarter pick from the rookie.
A
The rookie.
B
Jihad Campbell. That's a big time play in that moment, obviously.
A
Yeah. Kudos to us like the defense just to. To staying in the game and locking in like regardless of kind of what was happening. That whole drive, you know, obviously heat of the moment, you got that, that heat on your back. You don't know like you don't want to give up whatever, but you gotta push through, man.
B
Push through. And that's, that's what we did. We found a way to get a, get a turnover. It was, it was a big play by. By Jihad. Even though the play wasn't perfect itself run by the defense at least. But you know, our boy, boy, Mr. Blankenship came up out of coverage and you're kind of a free player there and you know, just came up.
A
Yeah.
B
Tried to get a hand on the ball and you, you did, you know.
A
Got a little things, man. It's freeing coverage. And all of a sudden, you know, you see a guy like Baker scramble.
B
Yeah.
A
Like you, you either gotta go hit him or go pull him up and make him, you know, get the ball out of his hands as fast as possible.
B
Yeah, I mean he's. The way he's. They started the season, you know, he said three, you know, game winning drives in the fourth quarter and it was another late, late drive late in the game. You know, they were down and you know, we needed to make a play and stepped up and, and got a stop.
A
Yeah. It's huge, man.
B
Found a way.
A
Found a way.
B
That's Citizens play that matters most.
A
Visit CitizenNenson online@citizens bank.com MadameReady and make sense of your money with Citizens member FDIC. Oh, this is my favorite. This is starting to be my favorite segment, man.
B
We got another segment of the exciting fits. Look good, feel good, play good, play good. Let's check out this week's exciting bits. Starting off with the guys.
A
All right.
B
The fellas.
A
We are continuing to match every week.
B
I didn't even realize.
A
Can you say, like, we're not planning any of this? Like, we're not.
B
No, we literally don't plan it. But we do have a similar outfit.
A
I mean it is, it is all. It's close.
B
I mean, I'll let you know this week because I already got mine figured out this week. So I'll let you know what I'm. I appreciate. I'm gonna wear so you can't copy me again.
A
I'm not copying you, bro.
B
But we don't, we don't plan out the fits together. But I feel like the Pedialyte was a nice, nice little ad to the, to the house.
A
The Pedialyte is always going to be a staple if I haven't finished it before I walk on the bus one o' clock games. I can't drink the whole thing before 10 o', clock, dude. I just can't.
B
It's a, it's a vet move. Vet move right there.
A
It's not every game thing. My captain Robin drinking pity light since high school, bro.
B
I know that's, that's a same flavor, good little touch. Yeah boys. I mean nothing too crazy from the boys. Just.
A
Was it like hits like knitted. Knitted.
B
I had like a knitted polo on. Did you added to.
A
Yeah.
B
Oh, I didn't even know both were.
A
I mean you can see yours a little bit textured in the picture. You Got a close up, man. They don't give me close ups anymore.
B
Gives. Gives Florida vibes. Kind of feel like, you know.
A
Does it though?
B
Mine does, I think.
A
Oh, sorry.
B
Bake big me and kind of we're kind of 22, I guess.
A
I guess it was just the week of the knitted fits, man.
B
Knitted polo. I mean he's got the hat and shades on too. Nice little touch. And the little water bottle. Staying hydrated. I don't know what's in there, but I assume he's staying hydrated. But yeah, I guess that's three. We're all twinning.
A
Hey, man. I guess we all got the same style.
B
Same style.
A
Not a whole lot of changes between us.
B
And clean, baby. Come on.
A
Come on.
B
Hey, Landon, bro, Landon's always got like T shirts. T shirt on, dude.
A
Do you know one of the T shirts he wore, you could do scan the QR code and it was him. Is it him on the lawnmower?
B
Yeah, it's you like. You like hold your phone up to it like the camera and. Oh yeah, plays it the lawnmower.
A
That's tough on.
B
On the field, but yeah. Tush push. Graphic tee. I need to find one. I gotta find.
A
Yeah, it's got a tank on his sick.
B
He's always rocking. Rocking some sort of graphic tee, though.
A
Yeah, not in the suit.
B
Not in the suit.
A
Wow.
B
Came out of the suit. He's got a. What is that? Like. Would you consider that a graphic tee with the little hat and the.
A
Yeah.
B
What do you call that? The bag that he's got like a briefcase. Briefcase, yeah, briefcase, bag. Something. Something calm.
A
Some slight, cool.
B
Some slight. You know, still. Still fresh. But you know, Smitty's in the Jordans too. So many's always stepping.
A
Always.
B
Jay hurts with the Jordan 11s, bro. Air cleats. That's kind of tough. I didn't.
A
That is tough. I didn't know that until.
B
Until after the game, but that's. I was kind. I was actually looking at his cleats before the game, but I. I didn't see that where it said John Eyre.
A
Yeah, that's so tough.
B
He's always got some. Got some heat on. On his feet. Heat on the feet.
A
He on the feet. Sound like Dr. Seuss, baby. Now, you know we don't partake in fantasy football, but our phly fantasy expert Jamie has some pics to share. Tell the people what's up, Jamie.

Welcome back to Exciting Mics presented by citizens. All righty. It's time for some exciting game balls this week. Week four Game balls. I'm gonna. I'm gonna start off with the exciting Mike Salam. Quinion Mitchell Q.
A
Played his tail off, bro.
B
Yes, he did. Back in the home state.
A
5Pbus how many people did he's have? Did he say that was there for him?
B
He said like 30 something, I think.
A
Yeah, he bought out in front of him, bro.
B
Yeah, he did. Five PBUs. He was talking that talk too on the game. I wonder.
A
People don't really realize like he's silent, he's quiet, this, that, the other. But when he's on the football field.
B
The silent assassin, bro, bro.
A
Telling you he don't care. He don't care what position you see.
B
The the NFL films mic'd up of Saquon.
A
That's tough.
B
That was tough.
A
I don't even remember him coming over there and saying that.
B
I know. Actually, I think I do remember him saying that.
A
I think I was too busy putting up cold towel on my stomach or something.
B
I speaking of the heat, I think we Got to give a game ball to the. To the staff. The. The equipment strength staff are holding up the shades all game long. Keeping the sun off of us when we were off the field was huge.
A
That was huge, bro.
B
Huge.
A
That little. I mean, that. I. I don't know. Like, I couldn't. I can't thank them enough, bro. Like, I know.
B
And we had. We had the cooling mentions, too, this year.
A
Yeah. But it didn't even feel like they were cooling. Like, it was just so hot. Like, it felt like it was just blowing hot air.
B
But it was huge for us to have those shades over. Over top.
A
Yeah.
B
I think. I think I got one more. I think we got to give one to the. To the Tush push. Play the fake Tush pushes.
A
All of them.
B
We're giving a game ball to the Tush push because there's so much more you can do. It's not just a quarterback sneak. You know, everything.
A
It's like a Swiss army knife, bro.
B
Swiss army knife. You can throw a pass off of it, little shuffle pass. You can hand it off. You can do so many things off the Tush push. So we got to give a game ball to the Tush push.
A
Yes, sir. It's finally here, baby.
B
Bronco's coming to town, baby. Back at the Link. Back in. Back in our home territory.
A
Back in the nest, baby.
B
Back in the nest.
A
Yeah, I'm Broncos.
B
Good team coming into the Link. Obviously, they. They run the ball really well. Got a good young quarterback, good receiver.
A
He mimics Mayfield a little bit. A little bit.
B
Yeah.
A
They're.
B
They're similar in a lot of ways, you know, but it's going to start off each week with. With stopping the run game. I feel like that's how it is every week.
A
Starts couple.
B
Couple good backs and then, you know, being able to play the. The play action, pass off of it as well is. Is going to be huge for us. They got some good receivers, good tight ends.
A
We just say keep on doing what we're doing, man. Limit the mistakes, limit the. The penalties and just play.
B
That's. I mean, that's the penalties is the biggest thing. That's. That's what's been hurting us the most.
A
Yes, is.
B
Is the penalties, but, you know, we gotta. Gotta clean that up. Just continuing to improve. Got my boy, Riley Moss. Oh, yeah, fellow Iowa Hawkeye. Played with him for a couple years at the University of Iowa. It's gonna be cool to see him jersey swap action again. Get that. That jersey from him.
A
Nice.
B
So excited for that, too. Should be a fun one.
A
Oh yeah.
