Hey, I'm Liz Loza and this is facts versus feelings. Your amuse bouche to your fantasy Focus main course. We are bringing more fantasy, more facts, more feelings, and of course, more fun. And now that I have your attention, today's fact is that sometimes when the clock says it's over, maybe it's not. Look who it is. It is producer Presley returning for a second straight week. Dave, you are representing the chilly climes of Connecticut and we appreciate you being here.
B
Oh, you weren't getting rid of me that easy. It is cold in Connecticut, but what is not cold was that take that you had last week. Leave room at Roma Dunes in the lineup. Be patient. And that paid off for everybody, myself included. So thank you for that, Liz.
A
You are welcome. I am glad for myself that he rebounded. The matchup certainly helped things and he is a priority for that offense, even if the connection between him and Williams has not yet found itself completely. What? What has found itself completely is my adoration for our viewers and listeners who like and subscribe to the video. Dave, can you tell them how to do that?
B
Absolutely. Smash that like button right now. For the culture, as Quinton likes to say, subscribe to the NFL on ESPN YouTube channel. That helps you share everything. And of course, we've got a voicemail number. What is it, Liz?
A
914-348-1893. We check it every Monday. We are loving your crash outs, by the way, but you can still give us your cash outs if something positive happened. Of course. Leave your fantasy therapy questions if you have lineup conundrums. And. Well, I'm. I don't like saying this, but the producers want me to. If you have life conundrums.
B
Life advice. Come on, what's going on in life? We want to know.
A
Share it with us and maybe we'll give you some sound advice. Though I am not technically a therapist, though I seem to work as one for my friends quite a lot, which is, you know, a gift, I guess. Anyway, I think it's time to hit the disclaimer.
B
Yeah, I should probably do that for legal reasons. Fantasy football is a game of inches, luck and irrational confidence. Proceed with caution, trust your gut. And remember, side effects of listening to this podcast may include spontaneous victory dances, mild trash talking, and a belief that your sleeper pick is better than everyone else's. Take the facts of fantasy football seriously, but consult your feelings before making any lineup changes.
A
Time is always against us.
B
All right, Liz, we're starting with a player this week who I think that most people that rostered him thought that maybe the time was up and hopefully they didn't drop him because in week 10, Jameson Williams to the moon.
A
He certainly was not living up to the hype and John Morton, the Lions offensive coordinator, said as much heading into Week nine, stating that he felt as though he had quote failed Williams. Now Williams did find the end zone in Week nine, but Dan Campbell, not satisfied with the loss to Minnesota, took over the play calling duties. And now we have Jameson Williams setting season high numbers in Week 10. Six receptions, 119 yards, found the end zone again for nearly 24 fantasy points. Fantasy managers cannot be upset with this turn. Congratulations to the managers, by the way, who refused to look at that week 7 blanking and continued to believe in this player's potential and follow the notes of the team and drive down the narrative street. I love everything about this situation though. Dave, I'm wondering, are you a bit worried about this matchup against Philadelphia?
B
I could be a little bit, but I think, you know, I'm a big believer in if it's working, keep doing it. And I think Dan Campbell is a big believer in that too. And based off of what we saw.
A
Last week or if things aren't working, definitely change them, which is.
B
Well, that's what I mean. Yeah. Yeah.
A
So the Eagles have made a lot of defensive additions and they've bolstered their defense. So I do think the Eagles defense is better now than it was a couple of weeks ago. However, the split on this game is 2 1/2 points, so that suggests a close game where there could be a lot of fantasy fireworks. And if I am damn Campbell and I'm in a close game situation, I am looking towards, to use your word, my best big play threat. So I think there could be some juice. I'm still not comfortable ranking Williams inside like the top 25 at the position. I think he's still a flex, but he offers so much upside that I am thrilled to be flexing him in week 11.
B
Huge upside. One player that we're going to talk about next, I thought when I drafted him in pretty much every one of my leagues this year. Granted, maybe I'm still on the train when I should have got off last year. I thought he was going to be putting up numbers and he hasn't. Or he has maybe one game. That's Derek Henry.
A
Yeah, his best game was week one, so the train has been slowing down since it left the station. Essentially I was, I was not high on Henry because I expected him to regress in terms of efficiency, given his workload last season. And indeed, I was right. Though, there is good news here because Henry's still seeing a monster number of touches. In fact, he's cleared 20 touches in four straight games. So the volume is there. And he's still above league average. He's the RB15 in yards per carry at 4.8. It's just that that's not what we have come to expect. And so I think what you're saying, right, as someone who rosters him, you need to adjust your expectations. I really don't like this matchup against the Browns. He had his worst game of the season against the Browns. Only put up like, not even three fantasy points. I think he put up like 2.3 fantasy points, averaged 2.1 yards per carry in that game. Now, Dave, are you so worried about the matchup though, that you are thinking about sitting him?
B
No, I mean, I don't. I don't really have enough on my. On my roster to. To sit him unless I'm like, throwing in like a dart throw at like Zac Chaubonnet. Oh, Manungai, someone that I kind of picked up off the wave of wire late or drafted late. I mean, I drafted Henry to be one of the starters. Now, granted, I do have your RB one. Yeah. I mean, I have him rostered in a couple leads like next to a Jaylen Warren or James Cook. So, you know, I do have some pretty good potential at that running back position. But, you know, you just never know with Derrick Henry. I mean, you know, you just got to keep your fingers crossed, throw them in a lineup and hope that's what I'm doing anyway. Unless you tell me not to.
A
No, I think that, that. I don't think that that is wrong, especially if you have Warren to pair with him. Because I think in this matchup, I expect, yes, it's tough, but this section is all about player management or player expectation, meaning fantasy player expectation. So I think Henry will bounce back significantly from his last showing against the Browns, but I don't. I don't think he is any longer that surefire RB one that you were planning him to be. And now you have to think of him as more of like RB15, RB18. And that's what I'm expecting from him in week 11. So manage the rest of your roster accordingly.
B
Yeah, that makes me sad to say that, but, you know, that's how. That's kind of how fantasy goes. Right? So it's a weekly game. You got to adjust your expectation and you've got to crash out sometimes. And I think the rosters, the people that Rossa, this next player, definitely crashed out last week. And that's Brock Bowers with a measly 3 points in week 10 after a monster week 9.
A
Yeah, in that week 9 he managed 43 fantasy points. The hat trick helped get him there. So that means he managed 40 fewer points in Week 10 than he did in Week 9. Talk about a comedown. Like, I know people are freaking out because Geno Smith has underwhelmed under center. The office offense in Las Vegas has underwhelmed altogether. I think Geno's dealing with some quadriceps issues, but I don't think that people can say like I've heard the phrase Bowers ceiling is capped because of Geno Smith. I don't think that's right. I think Bowers is all ceiling. I think rather the right way to look at this situation is that Geno Smith and the underwhelm of the Raiders offense puts Brock Bowers floor in the damn basement. It's also worth mentioning that in Week 10 he had a really tough matchup. He only saw three targets against the Broncos, but the Broncos had only allowed one tight end to hit 15 fantasy points. It was Theo Johnson. If anyone wants to know the know the trivia all season. That changes this week because Dave, who are the Raiders playing?
B
I think I'm gonna be there. I might be there. There's a chance I'll be Vegas. Yeah. So hopefully we'll see those three touchdowns.
A
That is super exciting. Yes, the Cowboys allow the third most passing yards per game not just to the tight end but to all the positions. So this does seem like a great get right spot for Bowers. He is my tight end. Two just behind Trey McBride because that guy's been automatic for week 11.
B
He's hoping for a bounce back. That's especially because I'll be watching. So it'd be good. Good to see that in the stance.

A
Now let's get comfortable on the couch and dive into some fantasy therapy, A safe space for all your fantasy football questions. Dave, you seem very excited to share what we have this week. I can see you chopping at the bit, like, what's going on?
B
I am thrilled, and it might be a little sadistic to be this thrilled, but one of the best things you've done for this show, Liz, over the past couple of weeks, apart from showing up, obviously, is asking people for their crash outs. Because if there's one thing we can all relate to, it's a crash out. And this week we got some great ones. And the first one I can really relate to, and that comes from Mayo. Underscore44. And they say, oh, my God, Bijan for the Falcons, he got no TD carries. And I'm telling you, I was screaming at my television every time Tyler. Tyler Algier touched that football inside the 10, 15 yard line on Sunday. Infuriating. Crash out.
A
I will also add, I crashed out a little bit. Not that I would have done anything differently, but Tyler Elgier was on my bench. Oh, me too, Mike. So in the. Oh, Clay, the fantasy football and yeah, against my Clay and the fantasy football, football now league. And had I started him, I would have won. So, yes, this is the joy of fantasy football. Though I feel compelled as an analyst to shed some light on this whole Falcons backfield situation. Okay. So right now, and I don't want to, like, knock someone out while they're down, but I sometimes when someone is at their lowest point, they need a lot. They need some. Some knowledge, some information, some education to help, like, get them out of the spot. Right. Even if it's difficult, you put in the work and then you're able to, like, pick yourself up. Right now. Bijan Robinson has four touchdowns on the season. That's RB21. Tyler Algier has six, which I don't think many people realized. That's RB11 for that particular stat. Algier has 13 goal to go attempts. Bijan four. Elier has three carries inside the five. Bijan has one. What does this. What does this mean? What do you think these stats could mean, David?
B
I mean, you've got it bolded in the rundown, and it's something that I was going to. And. And I was going to. I was going to say it in. In general, because the whole time I'm thinking, like, they're just protecting Bijan. Bijan, which, I mean, I think he likes Bijan but it doesn't matter. They're just, yeah, they're just protecting him. Like, you know, why have him run between the tackles on the 10 yard line when you can bulldoze Algier and you don't want to lose your asset. So protect the investment. I think that's what's happening.
A
I. It is interesting though, because it makes the. We've seen other offenses, you know, understand what they have in such a high draft pick at the position, and there's been plenty of controversy as to whether or not offenses need to do that. I do think when you see Tyler Algier come in at that point though, it makes the offense more predictable. So, you know, it's an. It's an interesting. But yes, I think ultimately when just like in fantasy football, just like, like in real football, just like in fantasy football, we want to protect our investment and that is what the Falcons organization is doing. And so if that helps you empathize with the situation, you don't really care because why the hell is Bijan Robinson not scoring touchdowns?
B
Super frustrating.
A
I know.
B
I will say, though, I will say Tyler Algier does look good running the football. Like when he does get the ball inside, like the 15, he's just, you know, he deserved the touchdowns the way he's running. But for my fantasy team, it's useless. On to the next crash out. Liz Irvin. Tim says, oh, he played against Jonathan Taylor, Egbuka Washington and Jameson Williams. Does he have a right to cry? I think so.
A
I mean, first of all, everybody has a right to cry at all times. Your feelings are valid. Feel free to express them. As long as you don't do it in like, you know, an angry or violent manner, I would say. This sucks. This sucks, bro. This is like the worst I. This would be a moment. I don't know. Dave, like what you like what your. If there's a movie that you use as a coping mechanism or like there's that. That trope about like eating ice cream. That's like, not really my thing. This would be a level. I would need to release so many tears from this situation that I think I would queue up my girl with Holy culkin and whatever you say her name like that movie is a but the tear darker and Or Marley and me. I know you and I are both dog people like you.
B
Not wrecked. I know I don't need to be wrecked on that one. I mean, speaking of wrecked, this guy, this Tim here, I'm assuming his name is Tim, woke up to Jonathan Taylor stiff it's putting three in the end zone before the 1pm games even began. And then he was just continued to be kicked while he was down, like 50 plus points. And he's like, you know, the game. The game's over. But maybe there's a glint of hope. Like maybe one of my players. Nope, not when you face in Booker Washington and then James. Although, you know what?
A
Maybe, you know, early, right? Like, you can see the. You can see the signs early just like. Yeah, just turn it off and go. You know what? Like Quentin and the kids say, touch grass.
B
Yeah, go touch grass. Oh, watch Molly and me and cry your eyes out like I did. Liz, I got a bonus Crash out for us.
A
Okay?
D
From the bonus.
B
You know I love my crash. No, no, no, no. You know I love my crash outs. This person didn't even have to call the voicemail line. They just went live on Twitch and crashed out in front of a live audience. And that is one Mr. A.J. brown. Did you see this?
A
No, I haven't. We've been doing this damn show. What do you mean, have I seen this? I'm not on Twitch right now. I'm not 14.
B
You're not gaming on Twitch. You should follow Izlozer on Twitch. She's gaming all the time.
A
All my Grand Theft auto takes.
B
Yeah, AJ you're waiting for GTA 6 with Vader breath AJ Brown quote. It's a shit show. If you've got me on fantasy, get rid of me. So do you have. I don't roster. Yes. I don't roster him. Do you roster him?
A
Yes, I roster. I roster him in my Rainn Wilson keeper league. We kept him at a value, but he's been awful. But you just. Oh, my God.
B
Crash out. Crash away, Dave.
A
He's, like, averaging under 12 fantasy points per game. He's the, like, wide receiver. 33 in fantasy points per game. Like, not overall. I don't. I think his overall rank is even lower because he missed games. That sucks. So, like, you know what sucks the most about that? It also means he's given up a little bit, right? Like, that's the moment. Like, there's a. There's space between. I'm still angry and I've given up. Because if you're still angry, you're still willing to fight for something. Like, your feelings are there. You know, like, hate and love are really close neighbors. You know, Howie Roseman just said that he was too valuable of a player to trade ahead of the recent NFL trade deadline. And I thought that would mean, like, it really showing him how much they appreciate him appreciated and which obviously didn't happen in week 10, but woof. Like I hate if AJ Brown has given up, then we got real problems. But if this love is salvageable, if there is a chance that Jalen hurts, can like just target him and love him up a little bit. Because that's all it's going to say, right?
B
Like, that's all he wants. Yeah, that's all he wants to see. He just wants a catch.
A
He wants to see the team fight for him. He wants to feel appreciated. And so I am. You know what? A crash out to a plea. I am begging you, Nick Sirianni, can you please design a constant peppering of A.J. brown. You love this man. You need this man. Forget everything that's happened in the past. You want him to stay, you need him to stay. So I am imploring you to just feed him. Grease this squeaky wheel, bring the love back to the city of brotherly love and make A.J. brown feel good again. As nice as that crash out was for content purposes just now, it sucks for my fantasy team and that is what the priority should be. Me, my fantasy team.
B
I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the crash out.
A
You are such a sadistic weirdo.
B
Foreign.
A
Today's guest is a true lover of football and a man of culture. And by culture, we mean the love is blind. You know him as one half of Golic and golic on the FanDuel Sports Network. He's power ranked, all kinds of snacks. He's here to talk storylines, vibes and the heart of the game. Please welcome to the show. Mike Golick Jr. Wow, incredible introduction.
D
Thank you so much for those kind words. Really appreciate it. And yes, love is blind is culture. I know a lot of people trying to act like America doesn't have culture. Show them that and then see if they still are running with that tune.
A
Okay, well, let's just get right into the love is blind thing because I have to admit, as a reality television aficionado myself, I managed one season, the first of Love is Blind during the. During the pandemic. But I have to tell you, Mike, after the whole Messika purple teeth incident, I had to exit the pod, if you will.
D
Yeah, no, I understand. It's not going to be for everybody. And I think this is interesting. I mean, I think you'll probably far, far better or more well versed in reality television than I overall. But with this show and any show I came up on, the Bachelor, that was kind of my introduction to reality tv. And there's a certain point where, you know, the things become aware of themselves. The people on the show understand the platform, the game they're playing. And I think we're starting to get there with Love is Blind. We're on season nine for people unfamiliar, and this was one of the first seasons where I felt like, huh, I think everyone's starting to be aware of the fame and platform this can bring you, how to play the game, the launching point that this can be for a career in and around covering this show, other reality shows, and. And so I'm interested to keep tabs on if this is one that I continue to stick with, even though the season was incredibly entertaining.
A
Well, I do think you are onto something about that fourth wall being broken. I think the Housewives franchise kind of did that first. And then you're right. The Bachelor took on a life of his own, of its own. I mean, are we still following Trisha and Ryan? I mean, they're still going strong.
D
They are, they are. I. I got to be honest, the worst thing I do, and I've been fortunate, been friends of Mina Kimes over at ESPN who does a reality television podcast and a television podcast in general with David Jenis Jr. She does such a good job of following the couples and the people on those show, post show. Whereas for me, it's kind of like what I call a football game. If you ask me about the players in a game that I called on Saturday, on Sunday morning, there's a good chance I'm going to forget 90% of their names. Because when I get done, I hit purge and get ready to ingest. Either in that case, the next round of rosters, or in the reality TV case, the next round of slop and names of people and initials. I'm trying to remember.
A
I think in our business, there is a necessity to purge, otherwise your brain will just explode. But since we're using the word purge, I have no choice but to ask you about your love of weird snacks, because I feel like I might have to purge quite a bit after trying something called a Baja Blast Pie.
D
Let me tell you, it's. It's a labor of love that I do on the snack front. You know how it is in the Internet age where we can put all this content and our resumes out online for not only our future bosses to see, but for the masses, what gets shouted back at you most frequently ends up becoming your, like, quote unquote brand. And I have noticed that I get nothing tweeted at me more than fat Guy touchdowns, the Fix 6, something I've been a part of for so long. And random snack food varieties that have popped up in a day and age where innovation in that field is. Is rampant. And the Baja Blast pie was something that had been on my radar for so long. Mountain Dew Baja Blast, a staple of the Taco Bell franchise for so long. Taco Bell, obviously one of the great American institutions in fast food and certainly my personal favorite fast fruit food brand.
A
What. What has been your favorite of these weird or I don't want to say weird, that's a bit judgy. Like, of these more out there snack foods. Let me say that I do really enjoy blue Takis on occasion.
D
The one I always put out there for everyone. It's not super strange. It's readily available. The most of the snacks I like are the ones that are readily available in like, you know, 711 or the gas station when you get ready to go on a road trip. And I always tell people like, Reese is probably the king of the hill when it comes to not only, you know, the candy game in general, peanut butter and chocolate's an undefeated combination, but they have so many different varieties. The Reese's Fast Break bar, to me is the best candy bar in the market, bar none. That's where I go on this.
A
And that is a bold statement, Mike.
D
It to me, it has everything. Now, it maybe lacks the crunch that some people would want, but that little bit of, like base layer, I think it's nougat at the bottom that gives it that soft little firmness at the end of the bite. The peanut butter and chocolate ratio is a one. And to me, that's what Reese is all about, playing with the ratio. It's why the holiday shapes, I think, are better than the Reese's Peanut butter cups themselves.
A
That's where I thought you were going. I thought you were going to go towards pumpkins and Christmas trees, but you threw me a curveball, which is always great content, well done. Also a curveball that a lot of people never see coming are these thick TDs. What did you call them? Thick down, thick touchdowns. Fat man scores a thick six.
D
So I think, because, you know, when you see a pick six happen on defense with a big guy, I was like, that doesn't feel. It feels like it's selling it short. So the thick six. Yeah, I mean, I think that was something I was either a part of creating or a part of spreading years ago now and is ubiquitous. I just saw the Kelsey brothers talking about fix sixes on Their podcast. So it really is, it's, it's one of the most beautiful occurrences in nature. Football's not designed necessarily down in and down out for offensive and defensive lineman to touch the football. So when it happens, fat angels get their wings and I get to be really happy.
A
You were at one point an offensive lineman. What has that been? What was that like and how has it affected your perspective on the game?
D
Yeah, I, I think the offensive line such a funny position because I, I always said like, you know, we're a bunch of fat guys that don't always smell great. And so it takes a special kind of person to want to hang out with those guys and to get a group of them all together, you know, like minded guys that have to come together at a position where there's not a lot of glory, there's not stats. Your success is defined by how well you protect your friends. I always say it's the ultimate level of accountability. Playing offensive line where you, and the steps you take, where you put your helmet, where you put your hands. We're talking about fractions of an inch, an inch at a time that can determine whether or not one of your friends playing quarterback or running back gets hurt behind you. You miss a block by that much and all of a sudden someone's getting blown up in the backfield. There's a physical toll to the accountability that comes with playing that position. So as a result, you get a bunch of guys that are neurotic. We're always early to everything, we're always together. And your goal is to really not have your name called. With the exception of gross outliers in the O line community like a Trent Williams or a Zach Martin who are so undeniably good in ways that are easy to see. Quinton Nelson with the Colts, you got, you call those names for good reason. Zach Martin has, you know, more all pros than holding penalties and stuff like that. For all the rest of us, we're trying to keep our heads kind of below the fray because if your name's not being called, that usually means things are going pretty well. And when your name is getting called, it's for holding, it's for offside. So it, it breeds a unique mindset and I think a unique vantage point of the game where your, your eyes are trained to look at the guys that are going through what you went. And so I think you can learn things down in and down out at any given play that maybe the TV watching audience might miss because the TV copy is not good for watching. That massive humanity in the middle.
A
We love rookies in fantasy, particularly when they step up in a way that we've seen Malik neighbors do last year or you know, Teta McMillan has had his struggles this year, but that's not entirely his fault because Carolina has underwhelmed and the talent under center is, is questionable. But we love those rookies. Is there an impact player at any position that you think coming out might really behoove fantasy managers to keep an eye on?
D
Yeah, I mean I think right now and it's unfortunate we haven't seen in the last few weeks and didn't get to in the stretch run and I feel like that's why he may have flown under the radar for a while. For some NFL folks, Jordan Tyson, the wide receiver at Arizona State is the best draft eligible receiver in the country. Now. Jeremiah Smith not yet draft eligible or else he'd probably be the number one name on this list out of Ohio State. But Jordan Tyson missed the Big 12 championship playoff run from Arizona State last year. He's been out the last few weeks for Arizona State this year. But an unbelievable route runner, an incredible contested catcher, great after the catch. He's going to be a guy that comes in and is I think kind of like what we've seen from a mecca Buka being able to make an immediate impact. I think he is that caliber of player and has been sensational when on the field for Arizona State. Another interesting one that I want to keep tabs on is Joe Royer, the tight end at Cincinnati for the Bearcats.
A
Bearcats. College.
D
Yeah, he.
A
Well, it's certainly a place Travis Kelsey's alma mater.
D
Yeah, he and he last year broke Travis Kelce's single season record for receptions by a tight end at Cincinnati. He started his career at Ohio State, so he was a big time recruit. A guy who's got an NFL body, is a plus blocker and is really dynamic in the open field. And so I think he's another one in a league right now where we've got a bunch of great tight ends and some guys pushing their way into that conversation this year. I think he's a guy that's going to be able to come in and in the right system make a big impact pretty early in his NFL career.
A
Mike, I can't have you on my show and not ask you about how your fantasy team is doing.
D
Oh, it is.
A
No.
D
Yeah, it's not great. So like I, I'm, you know, I'm not the world's best or most dedicated fantasy football player. But I, I have some great friends who invited me into this dynasty keeper league and it's a nightmare. My running back room is been, you know, terrible. I'm one of the guys that over indexed on Chiefs. I've got Travis Kelsey at tight end. I've, I've got Isaiah Pacheco at running back and that's been an adventure this year. Alvin Camaro is my bell cow for so long and now that's been an interesting situation with how the Saints offense has turned out. So I'm not, I'm not doing great right now. Kyler Murray is one of my quarterbacks.
A
Oh no, you are.
D
Well, it's a two and it's a two quarterback. So Jaden Daniels obviously banged up and out right now. Kyler Murray obviously banged up and out right now and you know his future on the rocks in Arizona overall and then my other quarterback is Tuatanga Voa. So I'm in hell right now fantasy wise basically. So any trade ideas or requests, welcome because I got to get the, I got to overturn this roster in a hurry.
A
Hurry. You can always call the facts versus Feelings fantasy therapy hotline and ask us for our opinion. We'll, we'll put you out. We'll hook you up. Mike, I think you know somebody. All right, I want to ask before we play a game real quick, what is your favorite fantasy football start for week 11?
D
My start for week 11 would be Pat Friarmouth against the Bengals. Steelers. Going up against the Bengals, that defense has proven itself to be awful. I love Al golden and everything he did for Notre Dame, but it's been a rough go for them and Aaron Rodgers, Steelers. I know everyone's going to be down on them coming off what happened against the Chargers last week, but we know Arthur Smith's kink is tight ends Pat Friar, Moose, the best one on the roster. And I think they're going to get back to their ways against the defense. That's a soft landing spot.

I totally agree with you. I wrote up the other, the other Steelers tight end John Smith as my dart throw because of the matchup and because I do think that, you know, Friarmouth could, could play spoiler against him as we saw Colby Parkinson do to Tyler, Tyler Higby, which hurt me deeply in week 10. I feel though that John Smith's running more, he's running more routes than I think he ranks third on the team in routes run, in fact, and second on the team in targets drawn. So I feel like from a pass catching perspective, maybe the Bengals Sell out after Friarmouth's performance in Week 10 against him. And that opens things up for Smith, but it's going to be a dart throw anyway. Either way. Obviously, though, you're nailing the matchup, and I think that's what fantasy managers should do. So we're. We're kind of on the same page. Like, I'll have a piece of that Baja Blast even if I don't eat the whole pie.
D
You know, please don't eat the whole pie. Whatever you do, don't eat the whole pie. If you want to have a piece for curiosity, do it. But please promise me you won't eat the whole pie.
A
You have my word. All right. Do you want to play a quick game before we get out of here?
D
Yeah, let's do it.
A
Okay. So this game was inspired by your adoration for. For reality television. I'm gonna give you the name of a reality show and a situation from that show. And for each one, you'll have to cast the player that fit each moment. So I want you to think commitment, energy, think sparks, think chemistry, think. You know what? Think keeping you up all night for the best reason.
D
Oh, okay. I like this. All right, all right, all right.
A
So I'm going to start. I'm going to start with the Bachelor. You are the fantasy bachelor. Give one of these players a rose. Jackson, Smith and Jigba. Drake, London, Mecca, Buca.
D
Oh, I'm going to go. I'm going to give Jackson, Smith and Jigba the rose. Here is incredible three level threat this year. They gave him the keys and now he is keeping certainly everyone in the NFC west up all night. We can say that. And probably the entire league at large for what looks like the best team in the NFC at this point.
A
Nobody is thanking the heavens more for JSN than Sam Darnold. What an incredible play, having moved from koc's offense into Seattle and still playing at such a high level. But that cannot be done without someone who is as versatile as JSN is such a crisp route runner, I think, and he's been producing. I mean, Jake, Drake London has been incredible in the end zone, but jsn, just on a consistency basis. Chef's kiss, no complaints. All right, let's move to Love Island. This is my favorite dating reality show. I. I love the bombshells. It's time for a quarterback recoupling on fantasy love I Island. Mike, you're currently coupled up with Caleb Williams. My condolences. But Matthew Stafford, Drake May, and Jackson Dart, there are some vibes are still single. Would you like to stay with Caleb Williams or recouple with one of those other options? And if so, who?
D
You know what, I'm a. I'm a sucker for older men. And so I think it's gonna have to go out and be Matthew Stafford. I mean, what he's putting together at his big age. Doesn't it feel like the back problems conversation was a million years ago at this point with the flamethrower that he's unleashed on everyone else right now. It's. They got the offensive line situation right after last year, and I think you've just seen him as comfortable as we have. And him and Sean McVeigh both incredible problem solvers. You go back to the game against in London where, hey, all right, you've got no puka Nakua, so let's go three tight and work out of that. And I just think he's seen it all. He is still physically capable. You know, the Aaron Rodgers conversation of his best days being behind him. Matthew Stafford, the grizzled veteran at that perfect cross section where he's got all the knowledge and he's seen everything but the arm, talent and the body are still able to go out there and make it happen. We love that.
A
All right. Love is Blind, the hit show, Mike Golic's favorite, Love is Blind has a slogan. Enter the pods and let the journey begin. Which NFL player or coach would you like to be locked in a pod with and why?
D
Oh, Dan Campbell for sure. I think he's got all the layers that you're looking for because he's what the show is all about. The experiment in Love is Blind is about suspending the idea of looks, playing a role in this and just getting to know someone on the inside. And everyone in the NFL saw Dan Campbell when he took over that job, maybe heard the kneecap stuff and originally tried to. Tried to put him in a box as being this big, hulking former player who was going to go out here and out macho everyone. And then what have we seen is everyone's taken the time to get to know Dan in the pods. Incredibly empathetic, incredibly sentimental, a man that's not afraid to cry. He's got tiny dogs, loves coffee and deals with his players in a sincerity that has, I think, created a legitimate culture in Detroit that's allowed them to sustain the coaching changes they went through this season.
A
He.
D
He's taken over play calling now. So to your point, a man who still knows how to take charge when it's appropriate but is going to handle his business the right way. So I think he's the guy that's got the layers that are what this show is all about. Not worrying about what you see visually, but focusing on what's in here. And there's a lot in here for the big guy.
A
That soliloquy for Dan Campbell gave me literal chills. I have goosebumps. Thank you so much for coming on. I can't believe how quickly the time has flown by. I'm going to to let you go. But will you please, before you do, remind all of our listeners and viewers where to find your show, what you're doing, anything else you might be up to?
D
Yes. All right. We'll go ahead and plug this up. Go and go look weekdays 3:30 to 5:30pm Eastern on FanDuel Sports Network. You've got the FanDuel Sports Network app as well that you can check that out. I do a Notre Dame football podcast called the Echoes that comes out every Tuesday. Me and Jessica Matana, I do a little bit of college football rankings reaction on Wednesdays, 6 o' clock Eastern for the folks at Bleacher Report. And last but certainly not least, you can check out me, JB Long and the rest of the great crew over at TNT Sports covering the Big 12 every weekend. We are on the road, Arizona State hosting West Virginia this weekend. So it's been a fun season in the Big 12. Plenty of great teams and storyline. So check us out there. I think, I think that officially covers. Oh, and me and my dad do Monday night pregame and halftime on radio for Westwood One. So very fun, very enjoyable to get to sit and chop it up with dad talking about the NFL.
A
Well, thank you for joining us, especially given your busy schedule. It's been a pleasure, Mike. Take care. Have a great day. And I remember to pick up a Reese's fast break next time I'm at the 7 11.
D

A
I think of you every time I do. Thanks, Mike.

Today we learned that Brock Bauer's floor is unfortunately in the basement. That a thick six always brings the feels and that time is a construct. While the clock won't stop and the world won't wait, there's still plenty of strength and satisfaction in finding your footing. Big thanks to the Mike Golig Jr. For coming on the show and playing along and as always to produce the for sadistically adoring other people's crash outs. Be sure to check out my week 11 edition of the Facts vs. Feelings column which is currently live on the dot com. And remember, you can crash out with us. Call the voicemail line. Hit us up at 914-348-1893. Until next time. May your facts be solid, your feelings be right and your bus be someone else's problem. Facts morphe. How do I not know it by now? More facts, more feelings. Right? Okay, today we learned that Brock blah blah. Also, I'm just imagining like a teeny Quentin like Honey, I Shrunk the kids another movie that you would love I.
B
Do enjoy Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. You have to remove the little man from the sitting on your cup before you drink. And Quinton's just a little man that you gotta. I'll be the. I'll be the little man.
