B
Love that.
D
We love the energy that you bring. So glad you're here.
B
Yeah, it's going to be a lot of fun being able to hang out with you. In case that you've not seen Tyler, which maybe you living under Rock, Tyler always does stuff with us. Not only on fantasy football now, but on SportsCenter. Used to be on ESPN, BET Live and all the different places.
C
Follow him on social media at Tyler Fulum. F U L G H U m.
B
You heard it from the man himself.
D
You know, the only. I love Tyler so very much. The only downfall is that he's Rams fan.
C
Notice I put the. I saw the Ners and the Lions helmet. So before you guys got in, put the Rams one right, the Rams one up there.
B
Oh, look at you.
C
See that?
D
Taking liberties in the studio. Not okay. By the way, don't count on your Rams finishing.
B
We'll talk about that.
C
Okay.
E
All right.
B
NFC west is heating up right now, my friends. There's a lot going on. All right, really quickly before we dive into everything today, quick shout out to our friends over at trophy smack. Visit trophy smack.com use the promo code focus10 for 10% off your order over there at Trophy Smack. We love those guys. Go find something for your league to be able to bring home for your champion. Also, no Eric Moody in chat today. He's doing holiday stuff with his family. We're going to give him a well deserved day off. Absolutely. I texted him this morning and said, hey, man, I'm listening to Bob Seger. I told him what? My morning jams were a little. A little traveling man and beautiful loser back to back. We're big.
D
You're looking a little. Turn the page.
C
Little bit.
B
Little bit. Honestly, Stefania, we're going to get into that as we often do, but we still want your questions. So if you want to dive into chat, whether you want to complain about what happened in week 16, ask us about some week 17 matchups. Please throw some questions into chat just in case we can get to a mailbag at the end of the show. But why don't we dive into a Monday night football game? Why don't we 49ers and Colts.
C
Someone around here would be interested in discussing this.
B
It was unbelievable being able to see what some of the things happened. Stefania, did the 49ers score 48 points? Is that true?
D
I believe they did. I believe it's what you call a statement game for one. Brock Purdy, who threw five touchdown five, five John passes, most in his career. I just love listening to the network when we're. We have 49ers game on the network and they're talking about the 49ers and 49ers have a really good game. It's like I just come.
B
It's great.
D
More of a fan than ever. But just to hear them talking about how Brock pie. Honestly, after, you know, the injury stuff, it's almost like you forgot. I mean, Mac Jones carried this team for a while. Anybody who had Brock Py in fantasy is well aware. Um, if you subbed in with Mac Jones, you probably did okay during that time period. But boy, if you kept Brock Purdy on the shelf or you brought him back and you needed to use him or chose to use him in the playoffs, he really delivered for you this week.
B
I got lucky because I played Josh Allen over Brock Purdy. Josh Allen only scored like five fantasy points. I still was able to squeak through, but I got lucky with that one. Yes, absolutely.
D
Why would you ever start Josh Allen over Brock Purdy?
B
Can you imagine, though, if you had both Brock purdy and Christian McCaffrey on your squad, two guys that scored over 30 fantasy points, what would that feel like, I wonder.
C
Well, I can't imagine because that is exactly my reality. Thank you to your San Francisco 49ers. Quick story. Longest league I've been in college, fraternity brothers.
B
Okay.
C
I was in the semifinal against the number one seed. He was 12 and two this year, put up 169 points. Coming into Monday night, I was trailing by 64.2 points.
B
Wow.
C
I thought I had no chance, so I didn't even watch.
D
You had no chance.
C
Exactly. He woke up this morning. Or I woke up to some text messages from him that I can't repeat.
B
Here because it's language.
C
But I didn't watch a single second of the game. I thought I was toast. I thought, yeah, maybe McCaffrey can give me 20 and Purdy give me 20. But I'm still going to lose by 20. In that case, woke up and saw.
B
What the heck.
C
Five touchdown passes, two of them to MC. I won by 1.7 points thanks to McCaffrey.
B
And look at that.
D
That's all you need. You know, it doesn't matter how much you win.
C
By Buddy Niles. Sorry, buddy.
B
Yeah, sorry about that. Sorry, not sorry. Yeah, it's one of those things. But CMC did CMC things. We know that Brock Purdy can have this in his bag, although I don't think any of us planned on him throwing five touchdown. Almost 300 yards in this one. George Kittle. This is part of why my hair is down. George Kittle bounced me in a league because I was playing against him. Unfortunately, he scored too many points. 24.5 points, 7 catches, 115 yards and a touchdown. Stefania, the dude was unbelievable.
D
He was unbelievable. And the. The Purdy KD connection is so lovely. It is a thing of Beauty. And 7 for 115 and a touchdown.
C
Wow.
D
24.5 fantasy points. Guess where he ranks among Titans this week?
B
Tell me.
D
Number.
B
Number one.
D
Number one. Five more points than Fanon, whose praises we were singing yesterday. But I have to say, unfortunately, 49ers just can't escape injury situations. George Kittle hurt his ankle in the game. You saw him kind of hop. You didn't because you. But for those of us who are watching, it was a scary moment because he hopped. You could see him pull his leg off the turf. Later, when speaking to reporters, he said that. That it was. He called it a hip drop tackle. I'm gonna have to go go back and look. But he referenced hip drop and then he said that his foot just kind of got stuck in the turf and yet he didn't feel like it was a high ankle sprain. He's well versed in the these injuries. So he kind of gave you the impression that maybe he'd be okay. But obviously a shorter week for the 49ers having played on Monday night. So stay tuned, pay attention to that. But still delivers for you in fantasy. Unfortunately, if you are on the other side of him so sorry.
B
Not so great. However, we're going to continue to see hopefully he's okay and will be with us for the Week 17 championship. Honestly, anybody from this NFC west, it feels like, except for the Cardinals, you're excited to start. Anybody because the rams, Seahawks and 49ers all have major things to play for the next two weeks. So you know, in fantasy they're going to be bringing the heat every single time.
C
Pretty good matchups too. The Rams are in Atlanta in a dome. That's something I love in week 17 in the fantasy playoffs and there's just. You don't have to worry about environment. So Rams great offense in a dome. If you have Puka and Devonte is still out, you have to imagine he's going to get force fed. A lot of targets. I think both their running backs are playable. Obviously Matthew Stafford's on a heater. The Niners are like the team now. That is so fun in fantasy because of all the injuries unfortunately on defense they have to score. I know rivers put up 28 on them.
D
Philip Rivers, a lot of credit to Philip Rivers who threw. He's pushing the ball down the field. I think that was a lot of people's concern is can he push the ball down the field? He did. We'll talk more about the Colts in a minute. I do want to come Back to Christian McCaffrey just to point out and call me a homer if you will but if you have him in faith, that's fine. I embrace, embrace that because Christian McCaffrey, who people some were nervous about drafting him this year and he has been ridiculously consistent in fantasy. 32.6 fantasy points off of last night's game. Number two behind your guy, Chase Brown. Also six for 29 and two touchdowns in the passing game. This is why Christian McCaffrey's so valuable because he's a pass catcher. But the fact that he had over a hundred yards rushing, you know, he really was the pass catching running back. The rushing yards were lagging behind last night. You really saw the compliment of both. I think he's going to end the season. I don't know exactly where he stands but a thousand each rushing and receiving close or the second time. If he does it, he will be the only running back, I believe to do that twice in his career. So stay tuned. Juwan Jennings, not as productive as you know, the highlights that we've put out, but he was there to catch some targets. 5 for 71 touchdown got you 18.1 fantasy points. So not bad for A flex play. And I think he'll continue to have that role.
B
Yeah. Especially if, like you're saying game script is going to be in their favor. You know, the Brock Purdy is going to be looking for him. Let's talk about the Indianapolis Colts really quick. Grandpa Phil actually looked really good, you know, for the most part trying to be able to get everyone the ball. Him and Alec Pierce seem to have a really nice connection.
C
Here's making himself some money. Yes.
B
Seriously.
C
Looking at a big contract. And he's a big play. We've seen that since he's been in the league and found some consistency this season. And as you were saying, Stefania, I gotta. I gotta credit Philip Rivers again. Not the most difficult matchup because of the Niners defense with all the injuries there, but to put up that kind of performance and allow some of these parts of the Colts offense to be viable fantasy assets at this point in the season. Gotta tip the cap to Philip Rivers there. That's.
B
He's been great.
D
And I thought the 49ers played the way they could, right. Because they don't really have a pass rush with losing Nick Bosa and their. Their defensive line has dealt with injuries sort of across the board. And I thought Robert Salah, which by the way, love having him back at the 49ers, but I thought they played it well. They sort of stayed in these middle coverages because Philip river is going to get rid of the ball fast. What was so impressive was he get rid of the ball fast and it would go down the field to Alex Pierce for a score. Like, I, I think that was really impressive because I thought they were just going to run Jonathan Taylor a ton. And he did carry the ball 16 times for 46 yards. But the Niners, the way they were playing, bottled him up better than what I expected. So the way the Colts got their points surprised me a little bit. I don't know if it surprised you guys at all.
C
I think that's unfortunate for Jonathan Taylor down the stretch. I think that's going to be the game plan in week 17 as well for the Bears. It's like, all right, if Philip Rivers beats us, tip of the cap. But Jonathan Taylor is not going to run for efficiency against us. So as great as a fantasy asset as he has been all year, the unfortunate injury to Daniel Jones has kind of sapped his ability to find those ceiling weeks down the stretch. He hasn't had 100 yards and since before the buy, I think. So it's really been a struggle and Unfortunate for those who had Jonathan Taylor on their team.
B
And you know that with like you're saying, you know that Philip Rivers has zero chance of scrambling out of the pocket. Like defenses don't have to worry about it.
D
Doesn't have to.
B
They were. No, they. They really don't have to. And I was. I want to give a shout out to our buddy Field Jates because Phil JTZ did the alt cast last night. Being able to do the playbook was really cool with him and Luke Kuechley and Dan Orlofsky. So hopefully you were able to watch that because it was very cool shout out to you field. We love being able to watch you do play by play for that. But while watching that game it was so obvious that when they were talking about how defenses actually aren't blitzing Philip Rivers because you don't need to. If you drop guys back in coverage, you're able to let your front four be able to get to him because he doesn't have any mobility to scramble out of the pocket. And you saw it.
D
He's also going to get rid of the ball before you get there anyway.
B
Yeah, he's got a quick trigger, so there was a lot there. If you had JT, he did not crush you. 16.9 fantasy points didn't give you that 30 point week that you used to know. Beginning of the season, however, this sort of feels like where Jonathan Taylor has settled out without Daniel Jones under center. He's in this sort of, I would say like maybe 14 to 20 point range more often than not.
D
The other wide receivers startable. Josh Downs, 11.1 fantasy points. I thought he might be better because it felt like last week maybe that started out hot.
B
They had a couple of targets early.
D
In single digits that wasn't great.
C
Downs has been the guy who's had the connection with Rivers through the first couple of games. He had the touchdown against Seattle and then outside of Pierce, he was second in points in this game. So he's the guy who operates underneath a little more than even Pittman. So maybe that's the guy. If you're in a desperate situation and you're in week 17 and need a receiver and you're looking at a Colt. I maybe would consider Downs over even Pierce after what we saw there because I think Downs gives you the safer floor.
B
I needed 6.29 fantasy points from Tyler Warren.
D
How many did you got?
B
6.006 at the very end of the game. Stefania. That was a pass intended for Tyler Warren. He catches pass. I Make a championship. Instead, I lose by 02. Sorry, 0.29 fantasy points to lose. That's one of those tough ones where it's targets, though. I know he got.
C
He got the opportunity, the volume, fantasy heartbreak.
B
You know what, Stefania, I am ready to turn the page onto the next segment here.
D
Nicely done.
B
Yeah. Let's talk about our waiver wire with this one. Stefania, first and foremost, I want to start with the quarterback position. Jordan Love obviously left the game this week with a concussion. I don't think a lot to be able to add. We're just going to continue to monitor him as he goes through the concussion protocol. But if you have Jordan Love, it's a smart idea to make sure that you have another quarterback just in case you have been starting him. I did want to ask you about Lamar Jackson as well. Do we have any updates on what he's been dealing with recently?
D
Well, other than everything that, I think that's really the issue with Lamar. So he left this game with a back injury, got kneed in the back, and it sounds like, you know, day to day is how the Ravens are playing this right now. He went into the locker room, tried to get stretched out, couldn't come back in. But I think it's the cumulative toll of the various injuries that we just haven't seen. Lamar Jackson has not been really right ever since that hamstring injury. We had one bright spot when he came back and he engineered that game. I remember that we were talking about it and I can't remember if it was on this show or fantasy football now. And everybody's like, well, Lamar's back. And I was like, he doesn't look totally back. Like he was passing out of the pocket really well and he rushed for that touchdown. But do you remember me saying this? Like, there was hesitation. It wasn't like a great run. He has not run consistently since he's come back. Having a knee to the back, whatever that might have been, even if it was muscular, that's not going to help you in that department. So I'm. I'm concerned. Yet they have everything to still try and play for, so. But I'd be awfully nervous about starting Lamar Jackson and championship week and how he's looked.
C
Well, I'd be shocked if Lamar Jackson's your quarterback and you are in championship.
B
If you got that. Yeah, you know what? In probably a single quarterback league, I totally agree with you. Maybe Super Flex, if you had the right other quarterback on the other, maybe you played Brock Purdy and Lamar, Jackson and Purdy just carried your team. But if you've got either of those guys, you need a potential replacement. This week I'm going to start with Trevor Lawrence because back to back monster games. We didn't think he was going to do it again this week against the Denver Broncos and guess what? He did.
D
Hair on fire. Trevor Lawrence.
B
Seriously flowing hair. Long flowing. This might, this is a Trevor Lawrence. A little bit of everybody, to be honest. Back to back monster games 44.3 fantasy points two weeks ago 31.1 fantasy points this last week, 10 total touchdowns over those two games, including two rushing touchdowns, which is unbelievable. At least 260 total yards and two touchdowns in five straight games. Colts in Week 17 feels like you're in a good spot to be honest, because with the way that things are at, with the way Trevor Lawrence is playing and the people he's just played coming out of that Broncos game, I feel really confident I'm going to have him ranked as a top 10 quarterback. If you need to go out and grab him, I think you can take him right off the waiver wire, put him directly into your starting lineup.
D
This is not a number, but there's something about Trevor Lawrence. He just looks more confident. It's the way he's making the decision decisive, just the way he's like, you know, when he scores, everything about him is acting like he is so confident they're going to win that I think it's completely elevated his game and elevated the players around him. Which is why you feel more confident about starting him against the Colts.
B
100%.

B
Any other quarterbacks that you guys like this week that have been playing well?
C
I love the Trevor Lawrence plenty to play for. Colts defense that just gave up 48 and he's been ball and Tyler Shuck at Tennessee been playing great too. That Chuck Olave Juwan Johnson double stack last week paid off in a big way and I think you can go right back to it. Even though Tennessee's defense looked good against the Chiefs, he's kind of mailed that game. They lost GARDNER Minshew early, third string, 100%. So Shuck, who is playing good football and is playing to show this franchise that he's the quarterback of the future, a good matchup against a Titans team. That one is a pass funnel, which means they're really good against the run. There's no running backs in New Orleans anyways. You got to go through the past game of Olave and Chuck and two the last few weeks of the season. Cam Ward and the Titans offense has proven that they can at least push you on the other side by scoring some points. Their run game has been really, really good. We can get to running backs and talk about maybe picking up some Titans there, but I think this is a good environment. Again, it's not indoors, but it's in Tennessee where we won't have to worry about like really inclement weather. So I think Tyler Schuck is someone who if you are in a bind, maybe if you do, you have that Brock Purdy Lamar Jackson team. I would strongly consider Tyler Schuck as a better start in week 17 over Lamar Jackson. Which is crazy to say.
B
I know.
D
Like you hear yourself say it and you're like, I can't believe I'm saying this out loud.
C
Don't, don't say it. But.
B
But if I cover up both of the photos and I just look at the game, it's an easy decision so then it's just all right. Are you. Are you emotionally okay in case you do benchmark Lamar Jackson? Let's talk about running backs. You mentioned this. I want to mention one guy really quickly. I think Blake Corum is the number one AD that needs to be added off of waivers. We've been saying this for a number of weeks. I can't believe we're still talking about it. No, at least 13 fantasy points in four straight games.
C
That's kind of nice about your. Your Niners or.
D
I know, but you should, I guess.
C
They did benefit me big time. That's fair.
B
At least 60 total yards and a touchdown in four straight games. And here's the thing. Even if you don't need a running back, just go grab him to block your opponent in case they have someone that gets hurt during practice this week or something happening, which we never root for. But you got to go through and make sure that you got up.
C
He's devious.
B
That's exactly what you got to do. Find that guy that you know you're not going to play this week. You got a wide receiver, you know you're not going to start this week. Drop that guy. Go add Blake Corum because he's worth adding even if you're not going to use him just to block somebody else. Any other running backs that you like?
C
The Rams running game is clicking on all cylinders. They're a almost a nine point favorite at Atlanta, so it should be a really good game script for him and Kyron Williams. I absolutely agree. Blake Corum is startable in your flex, RB2 and some situations. What's going to happen with the Cleveland running back situation?
D
Yeah, we can discuss this.
C
Quinn. Sean Judgkins we know is not going to play well.
D
He. Yeah, he's done for the year. Terrible injury. We talked about it yesterday. Ankle fracture dislocation. So good luck to him with the recovery, but he's out. I think I know who you want to talk about on Cleveland there.
C
Well, they had Raheem Sanders and Trayvon Williams playing this week. But Dylan Sampson, the rookie out of Tennessee who did not play in Week 16, if he's able to come back, we've already seen from him this year ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and create explosive plays. And I know that is something that the Cleveland offense desperately needs is explosive play. So I am considering picking up, especially if you have depth, picking up a speculative Dylan Sampson on Tuesday night, Wednesday morning and hope that he does practice this week. Keep your eye on it. And gain the ability to play on Sunday because even though it's a not a great game environment, I do think he could shoulder a lot of the workload or at least get some valuable touches near the goal line in the passing game.
D
So here's where I land on this. Because Dylan Sampson, who has proven himself talent wise, like you said, he's missed a couple weeks, but he's missed with two different injuries, one to his calf and one to his hand. He hasn't practiced at all. And so if you haven't practiced at all and even if he gets back into practice this week, unless he was going full bore all week, I'd be a little bit nervous about how much work would they put him back in for right away. My suggestion was going to be to pick up Travion Williams because I do think Trayvon Williams was the one who got the majority of the work after Quinn. John Judkins was down. Let's see Williams. To me, I think he's also proven that he can catch passes. He caught four passes for 38 yards this past week. I'm just worried about Dylan Sampson's workload now. If he's limited every day, these two could sort of nullify each other because I don't think anyone has the job outright. They're actually going to use a rotation. If Dylan Sampson's not practicing and he's out, then it's an easy call, which is where I lean travy on Williams. If Dylan Sampson's back. I just don't know that they load him up that much initially or it could be. It's often the case that it's like, see how they go. Like, is he tolerating playing well? You know, the guys who are coming back from injury, a lot of times it's not a set amount of work that they have. They'll kind of roll with how they feel as they're working their way back in. That makes it problematic for Fantasy to try and decide how much work they're going to get.
B
I would love to be able to see Dylan Sampson out there because we've seen some really cool things from the rookie earlier this year. I just feel like he's got a lot of juice in him to be able to potentially do something when he's not splitting time right as just a change of pace back.
D
But it's championship week.
B
But it's championship.
D
This is the thing. Like, it's.
B
I know. No, I'm with you. I'm with you.
D
No, I'm. I'm saying this Is the quandary like it's almost easier if he's not back this week. Williams, I would really feel good about. I'm worried if Dylan Sampson is back this week and let's say he doesn't practice Wednesday and then you get a couple limiteds and you're like and he's questionable coming into the game. Are you rolling with that for championship week? And that's where me I might draw the line a little.
B
Okay.
C
All right. I think you made a good point there. Stefania. I'm.
D
Thank you.
C
I'm going to doc Dylan Sampson a little bit and I'll bring up two other names really quick.
B
Let's do it.
C
Kenneth Gainwell. Has he. Is he available?
B
He I.
D
Probably not.
C
He might be wide receiver one for the Steelers with PK Metcalf suspended.
D
So true. And Aaron Rodgers, we talked about this last week how much Aaron Rodgers loves him and when Aaron Rodgers puts a seal of approval on you that he, he loves you and he trusts you. Trust is huge with him.
B
Yeah.
D
That he's going to make the catches here.
C
He doesn't trust a lot of people. So you're in that circle.
D
Listen, he's proven right because look what Gaines well has done recently. So.
B
And he's been fantastic post game press conference that you're talking about when he, he said this kid is so smart and intelligent and I told him I wish I could have played with him for 20 years.
D
Yes.
B
The idea that Aaron Rodgers says that is saying something because he doesn't just give out flowers to anybody. So yeah. Rostered in 75% of leagues. But why not go ahead and look.
C
Why not check Ty J. Spears was the last name I was going to mention. The Tennessee Titans running game has found some life here at the end of the season and they're just pumping volume to both Tony Pollard and Ty Spears. If Pollard's available, pick him up as well. But Pollard reeled off, I think three straight 100 yard games and spears has kind of developed this reputation as being this quiet late season fantasy hammer the last two seasons. He filled in for Pollard last year and had some really usable playoff scores. And we're seeing even with Pollard healthy this year, his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and just create points despite sharing that backfield is something that I find valuable. I think he could be a guy. If Tyler Schuck gives the Saints a big lead early, maybe he's catching four or five passes in championship week week.
B
Let's talk about the tight end position and I'm a little bit nervous about it. Well, here's the thing. I don't think we really had any major injuries this week. Nothing really changed. In fact, we saw Kyle Pitts look unbelievable even with Drake London. Come back, we'll see what happens with George Kittle. We're going to hope that that doesn't happen. I think the biggest spot that I have, question marks. You know how we were talking earlier about quarterbacks. Could you believe that we're saying maybe bench Lamar Jackson for Tyler Shuck with how things are at at the tight end position, if Chris Oludicon is the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs. How do you feel about Travis Kelce as a starting tight end in how.
D
Many fantasy points do you have this week? 1.2, 1.1 or something?
B
It wasn't great. It wasn't great.
D
It's not ideal for championship week, I'll tell you that.
B
And people know that I've been more down on Travis Kelce than up. I've been trying to be able to be more objective about this situation. I don't know what to do this week. Tyler, do you think there are any other tight end options on the waiver wire that maybe give you a little bit more love?
C
Yeah, I'm looking elsewhere. AJ Barner has been really good for Seattle. Keep an eye on their injury situation because the absence of the competition there has what's made him viable. I know it was a really rough week in week 16 for Jackson Dart, but he has shown Theo Johnson to be one of his most trusted allies in that pass catching core. And those are two names I would consider. Great matchup for Theo Johnson as well. On the road in Vegas, Inside a dome. I'm gonna keep saying this Dome of Vegas, Jackson Dart due for a bounce back, maybe could bring Theo Johnson along with him.
B
All right, let's talk about. Oh, sorry, go ahead.
D
I have a tight end.
B
Oh, bring it, Stefan.
D
I, I'm. I want to mention Brenton Strange of the Jags while we're talking about offenses that are rolling. He had 14.9 fantasy points against Denver in Week 16. 14.9. That's not bad from your tight end. This week he faces Indy who are not only going to be coming off a short week, but we saw what they just yielded to George Kittle in 100 plus yard game this week. And the Jags did face the Colts in Week 14. Breton Strange only had three catches for 27 yards. 5.7 fantasy points. You might be asking. Well, we saw that rape. That was the week that Daniel Jones got hurt. So I think you have to take that game. The Jags were cruising and Lawrence only threw 10 passes in the second half. Yeah. Period.
B
Just didn't need to.
D
I think that, you know, that kind of colored that matchup.
B
Yeah.
D
I do think there's a little bit of risk because of how well Travis ETN is doing and just that he's taking up so much from the ball. And you've got a few other pass catchers there still. There's some upside. And if you need a tight end, you could do worse, I think, than Breton Strange.
C
That's a good point about Strange, too. Just like what offenses are rolling get. Get a. Get a piece of them.
D
Right.
C
And Strange. And the no offense is playing as well right now than the Jaguar. So I like that. Even though there is risk, you might as well risk it on a team that you think is likely to score three or four touches.
D
Brenton Strange or Travis Kelsey Strange.
B
I would probably do Brenton Strange. It feels like it right now.
D
I just wanted you to feel Strange.
B
Streaming defenses really quickly. Tampa Bay gets the M Me Dolphins. If you need to stream a defense. Anyone playing Quinn Ewers, I think is at least in the conversation right now. And by the way, Tampa needs this win. The NFC south is still wide open. They need to be able to be able to secure things. So, you know, Tampa's going to bring the heat. I want to ask you about one other.
D
I have one while we're in the NFC South. New Orleans Saints.
B
Okay.
D
19 fantasy points this past week kind of snuck in there. First among all team defenses this past week. They faced a Titans team that's been pretty generous to their opponents. Week 16, they sacked Brady Cook eight times. 8. It's pretty good sacks. From Week 10 to 16, Saints defense has allowed just 15.8. Fantasy point, 15.8 points per game, and they have 18 sacks over that time. They've been playing really well.
B
Yep.
C
And Ward, he'll take a sack or two.
B
It'll happen. Yeah.
D
I just said they're kind of sticky defense.
C
That's a great one.
B
I want to ask you, Tyler, you're one of our better sports betters at the company. That's what you. One of the things you are known for. You do well with that. And I want to ask you, Steelers and Browns, the line is set at 34 and a half. Unbelievably low. Does that give you any, like, potential love for these defenses? When you think, all right, Vegas obviously doesn't see this as a low. Or as a low scoring game, both of them.
C
And that's a great point. You bringing up the betting total to talk fantasy. Because if you are not aware, this is a way that you can find good streaming defenses. A little trick look at the Vegas betting line and games that have totals in the 30s, less points on the scoreboard, better for screaming defenses. So it's a great point. 34 and a half might be the lowest we've seen all year long. So I think both of these defenses are viable. You obviously have Miles Garrett who can rack up sacks and is trying to get a record for Cleveland, and then any defense in Pittsburgh, case that is taking on Shador Sanders and his ability to take sacks and rack up turnovers is viable. So both of these defenses are likely going to be very popular on the waiver wire. You may have to spend some fab on them if you have any left at this point. Yeah. Because smart, smart players know if it's total like that, then. And these defenses are good plays.
B
They're. They're in a good spot.
D
I think there was one game in. In one of the earlier weeks that had a very low total and the Steelers were also involved. You remember that. And.
C
And they.
D
And I think surprised you remember probably.
C
Steelers, Browns part one.
D
It was a red zone question on fantasy football now. And we all took like the.
C
The under and the game went way.
D
Over, over in the first half. Do you remember that?
C
Now that you mention it, I. Steelers.
D
Were involved in that game too, whatever it was. And then. But. But I don't know if it was the Browns. Browns defense.
B
I'm gonna have to look it up. I'm gonna see if I can find. I couldn't find it really quickly because.
D
When you said it was the lowest total, I'm now really curious.
B
34 and a half is unbelievably low.
D
Right, right.
C
That's Iowa versus, you know, Minnesota to rushing.
B
Yes.
C
You know, like that's. That's ridiculous.
B
Not great. All right, let's dive into our Week 17 preview, Part 1. We're gonna dive into the Christmas Day games. We got three of them on the slate here, my friends. Cowboys and Commanders is the first one up.
D
Lineup sounded good when they made the schedule.
B
It sure did. Lineup locks for me in this one for the Dallas Cowboys. Dak Prescott, CD Lamb, George Pickens and Javante Williams.
D
Only for one team.
B
Yes, they do. Yes. The one question that I have is Jake Ferguson has been bad for two straight weeks against the Vikings 3.6 fantasy points and the Chargers 4.9 fantasy points, but those are two tough defenses. Do you think that he's more of a starting option in week 17, knowing that he's taking on the commanders who just give a little bit more love to receivers?
C
I think he is. You look at the underlying, you know, snap count and how many routes he's running, how often he's out there. He still has tight end one numbers in that regard. He just hasn't been able to convert that into points. Washington, we know has one of the weakest defenses in the National Football League. So like we were talking about with Jacksonville earlier and Britain strange, the Cowboys should score points. They should be one of the highest scoring teams here in week 17. So. So get as many pieces as you can. If Jake Ferguson is the tight end that you're trying to decide between him and someone else, unless it's like Kyle Pitts or Trey McBride right now, then I think Jake Ferguson is someone you can start as well.
B
I got Ferguson as a top 10 tight end right at the very end of the tight end, one I'm hoping to get. If I get eight fantasy points, 10 fantasy points out of him, I'll feel good about it. So that's kind of what I'm looking for.
D
I feel like it's close, you know, because ever when, when CD Lamb and George Pickens have both been heavily involved, it's been a little bit disappointing for Jake Ferguson. Like you said, the drop off in the last few weeks. But you hope against Washington he can rediscovered.
B
I'm not sure that he's actually done this, but I would consider him at this point with the way that CD And George are both doing their things, he's just become touchdown dependent. If he gets in the end zone, then you'll probably be okay. But if he doesn't get in the end zone, he's just not getting the same volume fantasy point, probably max on the other side.
D
I. Yeah, let's talk about the other side.
B
Are there any lineup locks? Stefania?
D
I don't think there's a lock.
B
Correct. I'm with you. I agree with you in the other.
D
Direction, but I do think there's something interesting, especially if you're desperate for a running back replacement. Washington's been a running back by committee situation for a while, but Chris Rodriguez is getting the most touches right now. Among them, 13.9 fantasy points this last week, double digit carries the last four games. He missed week 15 with a groin injury, but he came right back to that role in Week 16. Good matchup because the Cowboys allow the fifth most fantasy points to running backs. So if you need. You're desperate for a running back dart, I would, I would say Chris Rodriguez might be a viable flex play for.
B
You like that, especially against this Cowboys team. The couple other options, I mean, Mariota I'm going to have as a probably top 12 quarterback just because quarterbacks throw against Dallas a ton. Terry McLaurin probably going to be. I have him as like a low end wide receiver too, but he's not a lineup lock for me. I think you may have a better option than Terry McLaurin, but I think he's startable against Dallas. Debo kind of like a flex play.
C
As a wide receiver to her flex. I think you can be comfortable with with McMorin because we should get a game script that has Washington throwing. I don't think they'd be playing from ahead even though they're not an efficient passing offense. We know he's the number one. He's the alpha.
B
Yes.
C
He's going to get the, you know, 20 to 30% target share that we want. Will he convert it into something? We shall see. But he's also hashtag just good football player.
B
Right.
C
So I think you can feel comfortable with wide receiver too, definitely as a flex, but he's definitely not the safest play, let's say.
D
I think I'm scarred from this past week with Terry McClure.
B
That's fair. That's fair. There's. And it's been up and down. Right. For the commander.
D
Right. That's what we keep saying.
B
This is. We're worried. We're. We're looking not worried. We're very much trying to take advantage of this matchup which is why we feel comfortable with them there. So basically Dak Prescott, CD Lamb, George Pickens, Javante Williams and then Maybe you've got McLaren and Debo in there with Jake Ferguson as like a low end, tight end one and then Chris Rodriguez. Stefania, you're talking about if you need.
D
Someone replace again the value in being that he does catch passes.
B
Yeah. All right. That's Cowboys commanders. That's the one o' clock game. But we got two more games on Christmas Day.
C
Any of interest to you, Daniel?
B
Oh, Lions and Vikings are coming up next. Actually, I really feel like the Lions is just a super easy conversation at this point. Lineup blocks are Jameer Gibbs. I'm on Ross Ain't Bound and Jameson.
C
Williams and I leagues you can consider Isaac Tesla.
E
There you go.
C
If you need, if you need something there, I want to ask you a question. Yeah, because we know what's happened on the lion side.

C
Hi there.
D
Surprise.
B
30 for 30 presents. Booyah. Can I get a witness from the congregation? You can't stop authenticity.
C
Booyah.
D
Stuart was exactly like you saw him on camera.
B
Off camera, he dialed it up 10%. Can you imagine the impact of young black boys and girls looking at that going, I feel seen. He changed the culture. He changed sports stream. Booyah. Presented by Modelo. Right now on the ESPN app.
C
Is the Minnesota passing game, regardless of who's playing quarterback, trustworthy against your Lions defense, which we know is accommodating through the air at this point in the season.
B
They have been accommodating through the air and I think that there is at least a few people I would still trust. Right. So we lost JJ McCarthy last week for part of the game. Max Brosmer. Yeah.
D
I just want to reference that because JJ McCarthy hand injury and nobody really knew exactly what was going on. We're still waiting. X rays reportedly negative on that hand. It is his throwing hand, so this does matter. But yesterday was undergoing further testing. His hand on a helmet. You can have a non fracture and have a ligament injury. That's still pretty significant there. So stay tuned to what we find out. But I would not be surprised if it ends up being Max Brosmer who is playing quarterback for the Vikings because it's Thursday too. I mean, even if it ends up being a conservative situation, it doesn't require surgery. Would he be able to play on Thursday? I, I, I, at least at this point, I feel like that's very much up in the air.
C
So I see we have if it is Brosmer let's, let's just, you know, play the what if game. What if Rosemary is playing. I see we have Justin Jefferson as a lineup lock.
B
Yes.
C
Would you feel comfortable locking him in? As crazy as that sounds?
B
No. This is the thing. We've been saying this for week after week after week. Let's see what it. Let's see what Justin Jefferson did this week. Right. Because when you it was his better.
C
One of his better performances of the year.
B
Sadly it was and I think the majority of it was with JJ McCarthy. Six for 85, 14 and a half fantasy points. Most fantasy points since Week 9 as the last time he played the Detroit Lions when he had six catches for 47 yards and a touchdown for 16.7 fantasy points. So do I think he's a lineup lock? I still think that he's going to be better than. He can't make it farther down than like wide receiver 20 to 25. And at that point he's a wide receiver too. You're still starting him at that point. Like that's the thing. You're not not starting Justin Jefferson. But we've just, we have definitely lowered our expectations. I think I'm still in. If I've got Justin Jefferson in the league, I'm still playing him. The guys I'm not playing are Jordan Addison and TJ Hawkinson anymore. I'm definitely out on those two. Unfortunately. If it's going to be Max Brosmer under center. The Lions. I gotta bring this up too because the Lions have been really bad against running backs lately.
C
Yes, it's a big change is they'd.
B
Been awesome just in 2025. Lions have easily been one of the best run defenses against the run. They were top three for the entirety of the season. The last two weeks they've allowed six touchdowns to running backs.
D
That's a lot.
B
Kyren, Blake Corum, Jalen Warren and Kenny Gainwell, all four of them have found the end zone and had big games against Detroit. So I think that Aaron Jones is in the flex consideration for week 17 because of that.
D
So let's talk about a little more reason why you might want to have Aaron Jones, which is if you watch the game or we're paying attention to this. Jordan Mason left the game with an ankle injury and did not return, didn't practice on Monday. Remember, these are early games so you get a Monday injury practice report. He. He did not practice. Aaron Jones left briefly with an ankle injury of his own, but he returned and he had a heavy workload after that 21 car caught two passes. He was listed as limited on Monday. Remember Aaron Jones, the veteran Kevin o' Connell said many times he doesn't really need to practice. They just need to make sure he's healthy going into the game, not practicing. Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones, who came back and played significantly after he tweaked his own ankle, who then gets treatment probably round the clock for the first few days this week but is still showing up in practice. That tells me this is going to be a heavy Aaron Jones game and I don't even know if Jordan Mason will be available. The question is, does Xavier Scott's role increase at all if Mason is absent? I I still think Aaron Jones is the only one I'd really consider starting for championship matchup purposes and I think there's a stronger case for him. But just that name Xavier Scott might appear if Jordan Mason is in fact.
B
Out all right, good to be able to know that. I think that's sort of it for the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings ideally. Game if I cannot start Jordan Jared Goff as well, like I probably wouldn't. He has struggled against Brian Flores defense. It's been tough. So if I can go another direct I would probably try.
D
Just be aware Amanra St. Brown didn't practice on Monday because of a knee issue. I I think that's probably proactive but just we monitor Jameer Gibbs. Last time they faced Minnesota nine for 25 rushing and three catches. How do we feel about it this time?
B
Well, coming out of last week it doesn't feel great because the Lions showed they did not know how to run the ball at all. Did you know this last week The Lions had 12 carries for 15 yards with a longest rush of 17 yards.
D
That doesn't seem very good.
B
Montgomery had a 17 yard rush and everything else was just hit behind the line of scrimmage. It was awful.
D
The middle they got Brian Flores come facing them for the second time and he knows what worked last time. That's why I'm at so are you sorry is Jameer Gibbs automatically he's an.
B
Auto start for me he's still an auto start but I'm lowering expectations.
D
But I just want to to force people to face the reality of this. It couldn't be less than ideal.
B
No. And the Lions unfortunately last week by the time that we got to the end of the game they were on their third string center and it showed and you could unfortunately see at the middle of that offensive line. It was really tough and that's something they're going to have to figure out. Yeah.
D
I always feel like that's. That's gotta be one of the hardest positions to step into in the middle of a game. Like, okay, I just control the ball every single time. I have to adjust to the count. You know, the cadence of who's under center. I don't work with you during the week. Like, think of all the challenges. I mean, we saw it last night. Well, you didn't because you didn't watch.
B
But just keep saying it. We just keep bringing it back.
E
Wow.
D
The Colts had to change out their center and Philip Rivers was coaching them up on the sideline so that they would be sure they could communicate well. They're actually I, you know, my hats off to anybody who plays the position to begin with.
C
Will tell you they're the alongside quarterbacks, the smartest players on the field.
B
Oh, yes.
D
I'm not arguing with that.
C
We are the brains of this operation really quickly.
B
JIR GIBBS. Seven carries for 2 yards this last week, but 10 catches for 66 yards and a touchdown still scored 22.8 fantasy points.
D
The bread and butter right there.
C
Still got that.
B
So we're going to hope that happens there. All right, let's talk about Broncos and Chiefs in this one.
C
All right. I got to get out of here in a few moments, but I do want to leave with this question. I want to have you guys pause from a fantasy or real life perspective because this will be a vote that WAR that's voted on. Is RJ Harvey the offensive rookie of the year in terms of. Especially from fantasy where he was drafted in the production that you're getting, he leads all rookies in touchdowns.
B
Does he really?
C
More touchdowns than any other rookie. Is RJ Harvey.
D
It's about time because they weren't letting him get the touchdown.
B
They weren't. But wait a minute.
C
So, okay, you drafted Genti in round one and he hasn't. I had a great game in weeks. He might be a playoff hammer, but right. Hadn't been. Probably didn't get there with him. McMillan's been good, but that offense hasn't been good. Igbuka started fast, but it slowed down. Now Tyler Shuck, I mean it's a wide open rookie of the year race. I'm wondering how you guys feel about R.J. harvey's.
D
I, I like Travion Henderson for a while too, but, but, but now hurt again and I, I'm leaning towards McMillan because he's rising steadily. I think the right time. RJ RJ Harvey. I. I don't totally blame Him. I blame the Broncos for some of the lack of opportunity for him. It's been fun to watch him. I just. Rookie of the year. I always feel like it should be the year, and that's the hard part. We haven't had someone who's been consistent.
B
No one's been good for the entirety of the year. Yeah. Jackson Dart didn't play at the beginning of the year. And now recency bias looked, you know, not great the last couple of years.
C
And I'm not asking this question at all because I may have placed a wager on R.J. harden. Like, 100 to 1.
B
The DK sports book. Of course, yes.
C
Rookie of the year. That's not at all why I'm asking this question or trying to get this narrative.
D
You're trying to.
C
So that people keep talking about his candidacy, his legitimacy as and. But a great team. And he's come on down the stretch with no J.K. dobbins.
D
So matching up against the Chiefs.
B
You got to get out of here. Why are you. You just joined us. What do you mean you got to go?
C
I got one slightly more important things to do. SportsCenter is not more important than hanging out with you guys. Okay.
B
Okay. All right.
C
I have a pregnant wife, and we have OBGYN at this point.
B
What?
D
You know what? We love Jasmine.
C
Yes, we do.
D
We love Jasmine.
C
She's my better half. Indeed.
D
Yeah, she is, indeed. But I love how you're like. Like, we. First of all, I do applaud you for going to the appointment, but let's be clear. That's all you're doing.
C
I'm there for all you're doing.
B
Will hold a hand.
C
All of this. You are moral support, probably to buy, like, a McFlurry on the way home. She'll be hungry.
D
We're not making wagers anything with this baby. Are you, like, do they like. I'm.
C
I mean, we do have a pool.
B
Yes.
C
Love it, baby. Dario can't wait to meet you. Yeah, we have a name.
B
We got a name.
C
Can't wait to meet you. You.
B
I gotta go. Go. Thanks for joining us, Tyler.
D
We'll allow it. Okay.
B
Appreciate it.
D
Hold down the fort.
B
That's so good. Thank you, brother. And follow Tyler Fuljim everywhere on social media at Tyler Fuljim. We love that dude.
D
I love how he's trying.
B
He's trying so hard. You still see it? Still see it? Yeah, a little bit. No big deal.
D
Hey, Tyler's gone.
B
All right. I'll tell you what. Here's what I'M going to do Stefania. I'm going to get rid of this.
D
Get rid of that mic.
B
It's just going to throw it away.
D
It's gonna be us two chit chatting. Oh, is he gone?
B
Officially. Thank goodness. Oh, you're throwing the Rams helmet away. For those not watching the stream. That was aggressive by you, Stefania. I like it.
D
I was gonna move, you know, move.
B
That, move the 49ers up just a little bit.
D
You know what? Because.
B
Why not?
D
Because. Yeah.
B
All right, so let's talk about this game then. Because I do think RJ Harvey is still a lineup block. There's no JK Dobbins obviously on ir, so like he has been the guy in that backfield. Corland Sutton I think is also a lineup block, is probably a wide receiver too for this squad with the way he's been utilized. The Chiefs don't have anything to play for. Stefania and I don't like this matchup because the Chiefs do have a really good defense. But if you've got Bo Nicks or any of these guys attached to him. Do you think that because Kansas City didn't really have anything to play for last week, won't have anything to play for this week, kind of gives you a little bit more excitement to maybe play some Denver Broncos?
D
Yeah, I think even like I'm. I'm not saying that anyone on the Chiefs is not, not, you know, I don't like it when people say like a team quits or I don't believe that. It's just that it's hard. You're deflated. I mean it. I can't imagine losing two quarterbacks back to back for potentially year long injuries. You know what I mean? Like, and that takes the wind out of your sails. Especially when they are so accustomed to playing in the postseason. It's almost like they don't know what to do there. So I think they have fallen flat as a result. Result. I think it's an opportunity for Denver. I do want to highlight the fact people might not have seen it. Pat Bryant was carted off the field last week with only 41 seconds left in the game, taken to a local hospital for evaluation of that head injury and is in the concussion protocol. So of course you're going to expect that he will be out on Thursday, this game coming up so soon. Just throwing it out there. Troy Franklin, who was a star in the middle of the season for some of us, kind of helped advance our teams through big wins, had a little bit of a drop off with Pat Bryant. I'm wondering if we see more of a role for Troy Franklin this week and if that might be someone. If you need a wide receiver and you're trying to throw a dart for a higher ceiling play, I think that Troy Franklin could be a good choice.
B
He can be one of those guys and we've seen him have pockets. Like you said throughout the season, he's not been a guy that you can just leave in your lineup. But if you find the right matchup or the right situation, Troy Franklin has been able to be that dart throw that kind of gives you a nicer.
D
Ceiling for your squad and the Chiefs in this week. It's tough, you know what I mean? It's interesting because it's at Arrowhead and I used to say, remember when we had the big bell and we did the ding for Arrowhead because it was automatic. It was sort of like the 12th band in Seattle. It was Arrowhead. The volume at the stadium. And I wonder. It's so interesting, right. They've just announced they're going to be building a new stadium in Kansas City, Kansas, which is, which is interesting for anybody who's. I've. I lived there for a while, so I, I know. Know this. Right now they play Kansas City, Missouri. The moving. The team is going to move and they have the stadium built. Kansas City, Kansas. So like the final days of Arrowhead, you know, they're approaching.
B
Yeah.
D
Not this. It's going to take a while.
B
Yeah.
D
But you, you get what I'm saying? Like people know now.
B
Yep.
D
I'm wondering how loud it's going to be. Like, how. Where are the fans on this game, do you think? Because that was such an important part of the intimidation of playing at Arrowhead. And I just feel like it's lost a little bit of the glow right now and that makes it easier for the Broncos to go in there and kind of, if they get off to a fast start, I think it could be more a pretty one sided game.
B
I only have my pool of fandom to be able to pull from Stefania and I have never been a fan of a team that has been unbelievably dominant for multiple years in a row and then fallen flat in like a pretty major way before the season is even over. To know, like, what is the stadium like? What are the fans going to be like the final three games? Do you still show up because you were diehards for the last six years?
D
They will.
B
But is it going to be the same? Is it going to be the energy.
D
Of it, the noise of it. If you were. If this was them vying for a playoff spot, I would be seriously far more concerned about the Broncos in this position. You know, division rivalry. The Chiefs have the edge playing arrowhead now. It's foregone conclusion.
B
Yep.
D
And I just wonder what the game is going to be like. I think this is a good game for the Broncos and I like it. Plus, you know, I think it's. The Chiefs are going to try, but they're going to. They're going to be tired.
B
Yeah, I got Bo nicks as my quarterback. 12. Like I said, I'm starting RJ Harvey and Cortland Sutton. Troy Franklin is probably the dart throw that if you need upside in your lineup, you look at it and you see that your projection is much lower than the other person you're playing. It's like, okay, maybe take out this like low floor guy that just gives me like safe fantasy points and maybe throw someone like Troy Franklin in there on the other side. Stefania, I don't even. So first off, we don't know who's. I'm assuming it's. And if I say his name wrong, I apologize. But it's Chris Oladokin, I believe. Yes, we think he's going to be get to the start again this week. We have not seen Rashi Rice since last week still in the concussion protocol. So if Rashi Rice plays even with this quarterback, when you look at what he did with the other pass catchers, you can't feel confident. You may feel like you still need to start Rashi Rice based on the other wide receivers on your team, but you will not feel confident starting Rashi Rice. I will probably still have him as a wide receiver too.
D
And no pass catchers were in double digit fantasy points last week. And Gardner Minshew went out fairly early, very early. So hopefully we can see a little bit. It's not like that was the game and then Minshew left. It's like, right, we kind of saw this. And then there's the Broncos defense who's so good. Like, I just am finding it hard to trust anyone on the on the Chiefs right now.
B
The number one pass catcher last week for the Kansas City Chiefs, once Gardner Minshew went out, was Clearly Isaiah Pacheco. Six catches for 41 yards on seven targets, which none of us thought that was going to happen. We all thought it would either be Xavier worthy because he's going to take over that number one role goal, or it's going to be old man Travis Kelsey because he's just the safety blanket that can be.
D
That would have been if it was Minshu seemed like game. I think the whole game went sort of out the window and now I'm wondering what if. If you're the Chiefs, are you just trying to control the time of possession as much as you can to try and keep it away from Denver, which might make the run game a little bit more of something that they lean on.
B
Yeah. And against the Denver Broncos, I'm not sure how much I want to lean on exactly. I'm gonna have Rashi Rice around the wide receiver 20ish range, which is about as low as he's been since he returned. And I don't feel confident starting him, but I feel like I just might have to. Xavier Worthy is a pass and Travis Kelsey I have outside my top 15 at the tight end position.
D
1.6 wasn't feel great total for last week. I think we were guessing 1.2. But don't forget those extra 0.4 points.
B
You got Stefania Tyler left. Let's pick these games really quickly though. Commander. Commander's Cowboys. Who are you going to take in Commander's Cowboys.
D
Do I have to pick?
B
You do. Even though it's yes. You still have to. I'm going to take the Dallas Cowboys. I'm taking Dallas Lions and Vikings. I'll probably still take Detroit even though they haven't looked great.
D
Yeah. And also Max Brosmer.
B
We're not sure who the quarterback's going to be. I'm still going with Lions, Broncos and Chiefs.
D
I'm gonna take the Broncos.
B
I'm gonna take the Broncos too. I just don't think the Chiefs have enough right now with all the things they have lost.
D
The only other thing about the Broncos I want to say we were talking up RJ Harvey earlier and I just wonder if this game gets really, you know, the Broncos are ahead, get out of hand. They get up early. Do they start involving Jalil McLaughlin more?
B
Sure. And they started to use him a little bit last week.
D
Exactly five carries that he had last week. And so I just wonder if they're trying to slow the like Broncos get up and they're like, we're just gonna try and own this game and. And work on winding down the clock. We're not gonna totally run RJ Harvey into oblivion. Maybe we'll use Jahliel McLaughlin more.
B
Yep, we'll see how that one works out. Those are the three Saturday managers love.
D
When you cap the guy who's like the guy.
B
Oh, it's gonna be your championship. It will be a very interesting Thursday slate of games. Not just because it's a holiday, obviously, but because we've got a lot of things, a lot of moving parts within all of these teams. Right now at this point of the season, week 17 attrition is upon us. Who can just stay healthy and it's gonna be one of those, you know, we're gonna have a lot of things to be able to figure out out once we get past this Thursday.
D
You know, a couple names to keep because I. You'll explain what the shows are to follow this week. But we have football, the three games we talked about. There's football on Saturday. So you've got two games on Saturday again, then Sunday, Sunday nights. 49ers.
B
That's right.
D
And then a Monday night game.
B
Last Monday night game.
D
Last Monday night game. So when you look at how things are shaping up, you got some big injury things to keep an eye on when check the practice reports, sports. I'll try and post a couple things as well. But Josh Jacobs, who was on crutches last week and then obviously was struggling during that game. What happens with Josh Jacobs this week? Does he even play? What happens with Jordan Love?
B
Yep.
D
You know, do any of the Bears wide receivers return? Are we still ways away from that? I mean there's, there's a lot of things to keep an eye on. Josh Allen in his foot. Lamar Jackson is back.
B
There's a lot.
D
Stay tuned. Even though because it's a holiday week, so it's a little different. You might be used to us normal chiming in every day what's going on. But you're gonna wanna check your. Check the Friday show that you're absolutely.
B
That's what I was just gonna say is we are not gonna be here tomorrow or Thursday. We are gonna have the days off, hopefully spending it with our families and doing some fun stuff. I know you got family coming into town, hopefully. But we will not be here either of those days. Field and I will be doing a show on Friday, our week 17 preview part two. But because of that, you're gonna have some decisions to make on your own because we won't have the middle of the week to be able to talk about it. So. So head on over to Rotor Wire, head on over to Rotowire, check out the practice report. Make sure that you're gonna have to do a little bit of work yourself to be able to see because like you're saying, Stefania, you may have to make some decisions on guys that are already banged up and it's like, well, shoot, do I wait and see if they're cleared for my Sunday lineups or do I need to play this guy on Thursday instead? You're gonna have to make some of those decisions on your own this week.
D
Yes. And we have look on ESPN.com on the fantasy football page, we have the buzz file and we are constantly updating that with new news and injury nuggets. I will try to be updating that as well when there's significant things that will affect your lineups.
B
All right, let's talk about a playoff stash. Playoff stash is presented by Wingstop and we are talking about Ramon Dre Stevenson this week who took over with Travian Henderson still in the concussion protocol. We're not really sure what's going to happen here as whether or not Travian will be back this week. If he is back, I still feel like Ramon Ray Stevenson has had a role in this offense. If he's not back, he is going to be the number one running back for these Patriots team. And similar to what I just said with Blake Corum earlier on in the show, even if you don't need Ramon Dre Stevenson and he is available out there on your waiver wire, drop a wide receiver that you know you're not going to start. Drop your second tight end or that second defense because you maybe you've been keeping two defenses on your squad. Drop whoever that is and add Ramon Dre Stevenson. Even if you don't think you'll start just to be able to block your opponent from potentially having a starting running back against you. Ramond Ray Stevenson is our playoff stash. If he is available in your league.
D
How available is he?
B
He's available in about 25 to 30% of leagues right now, so we'll see. You never know who has dropped him, so we'll see where he's at. All right, let's look at the Focus League update. Fantasy Focus Show League. Do we have to?
D
Do we have to? Yeah.
B
Stefania and I don't really want to do this, but we're going to do it anyways.
D
Okay.
B
All right. Looks like we're going to have Miller Light Mike, our guy Mike Clay taken on our producer Zach Jamar Mageddon in this one. This is going to be a really interesting matchup, Mike, because he does. The projections projected himself slightly higher than Zach, obviously, 135.7 to 131.9. We got some big names on both of these squads, though. Bijan and Amon Ra with Kayla Williams from Miller like Mike and Jamar Mageddon's got obviously Jamar Chase with Josh Allen. Hopefully there's a rebound there. And Kyren Williams. Williams. We'll see how these two break out.
D
Like, that's. That's really good.
B
Yeah.
D
Because there's. Everybody's playing. I'm obviously hoping Caleb doesn't have quite the day that he's had lately because he's playing my Niners.
C
Yeah.
B
We don't want all that. We don't want all that.
D
Those are gonna be. That's gonna be a tough matchup.
B
Caleb still has not thrown for 300 yards this year. Still yet to have a 300 yard passing day.
D
Doesn't have to. And if he can wait till week 18.
B
Yeah. Not. Don't do it. No. In week 18 they play my team. Stefania. I don't want that either.
D
Oh, okay.
B
So maybe he just doesn't have one this season. Are we okay with that?
C
All right.
B
We're okay.
D
Still playing really well.
B
He's still playing well. Absolutely.
D
We'll allow it.
B
All right, let's dive into the mailbag. As I said, no Eric Moody, but go on social media, follow him at ericnmoodie and wish him all of the best. This one comes from Byron. Wants to know. Oh, this is in a. Wants to know. Thank you. DOP has the best hair on espn. Just saying. I had to wear it down today.
D
I love the down. And I do think that it does make me feel like George Kittle. A little bit kinship, you know, in the building.
B
Yeah. I don't. People don't often realize it's as big as it is because I just have it up in a bun. And when it's in a bun, you don't know how big it really is.
D
It's long and flowing. There's a lot of girls who would kill for that hair, let me tell you.
B
Well, I appreciate it.
D
I do. Because it's also. It's got the wave that's like. It's.
B
So this is the thing. It's like, is this Gardener Minchu? Is this me? It depends on who it is. I feel like we're very similar, though, with the things that we're doing here with all this hair.
D
So Gardner Minshew or you are just this one other character?
B
Well, this other guy that people talk about this time of year as well. Absolutely. Yes. Let's go into Jay Icy wants to know, do I start Rico Dowdle or Omarion Hampton this week?
D
I like Omarion Hampton.
B
I think so too.
D
And you know, Kamani Vidal might be not playing so injured recently.
B
A tough matchup against the Houston Texans. But I, I would rather have.
D
How did the Houston Texans do last week?
B
Not as good as you thought. Stefania. Not as good as you thought they would. Also, Rico Doll has taken on Seattle and given the way that, that like backfield is still kind of a split with the way that they view everyone. Rico Doddle Only 8.3 fantasy points last week. I would rather just have. Even though they're both difficult matchups, I'd rather have Omari and Hampton because I think there's more juice there and I think we've seen the production. If there's no Vidal, yes, he's.
D
He's it.
B
I'm with you on that. All right, next question. This one comes from Ty Percy. Yes, we like Knicks over Dart this week. Yeah, we unfortunately do. I am in on that as well. I've got Bo Nicks ranked ahead of Jackson Dart. I don't really know what to think of Jackson Dart right now and we talked about it a little bit yesterday, but the idea with him trying to change his play style in the middle of the year while he's doing stuff, I don't even.
D
I, I still think it was as much of a. A, a defense that knew how to frustrate him. I'm not convinced that he completely changed his style in, in one week. I mean, I think that's a work in progress.
B
It's a great matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. That's the thing. Like, it feels like you could be in a great spot, fun to think about. I don't know how to be able to trust that though. There's a, there is a comfort level that you just have to have and you're like, I am okay starting. And again, this is the hard part because when I think Championship Chiefs think.
D
About the all I'm going to interrupt you for one second. It. You can make it real easy, think about what would make you feel worse.
B
That's it.
D
That's it that you started Jackson Dart and he was terrible and left early for whatever reason. We're not, we're not talking about projecting any injury into the atmosphere, but let's just say something happens because it could because we've had examples of that and Bonix is on your bench just crushing the Chiefs. Or you start Bonix because you thought that he was the best start and it just doesn't quite work out the way you planned. You know, what are you gonna. Are you gonna feel worse if Bonix is on your bench. I think you are.
B
I will not feel good about it. I think I would rather again for me, knowing that this Chiefs team doesn't have something substantial to play for gives me a little bit. Bit of. A little bit of extra love in the Bonix category for me. So I'm going to go with Bo Nicks over Jackson Dart this week as well. All right, next one comes from Trace. Wants to know, is Taysom Hill startable? I just want to say no. I want to say no. I don't think that he is. I don't think I even have. Let me see where I've got Taste Some Hill ranked this week.
D
But shout out to you if you're in your championship and Taste Some Hill was part of your squad.
B
Yeah. Right now I've got him right now as my tight end. 12 and he's taken on the Tennessee Titans the way that he's been utilized the last couple of weeks.
C
Weeks.
B
I mean especially this last week. 4 for 36 receiving, 612 carries for 42 yards as well. So he was get again because they don't have any running backs.
D
Right.
B
So like you're saying like maybe as a tight end, running back hybrid. The question is like do you really feel confident starting Taysom Hill?
D
No, I don't. I guess I want to know what my choices are.
B
Yeah.
D
Are you super desperate because you have all of a sudden a vacancy because of injury and this is who you have and there's nobody else to pick up who's done any sort of stuff. Thing.
B
Yeah.
D
All season long. Like I think we gave you a couple options with like a Brenton Strange who's pretty available.
B
Sure.
D
The Seattle tight end who's new?
C
A.J.
B
Barner.
D
A.J. barner.
B
I think I'd rather go there go those routes instead. I think that checks out. I think I'm with you on that one. All right. This last one comes from Vincent. I've been watching since early August. I've taken all the information presented from all of the analysts and made my own calls from there. And I will now be in super bowl four out of six leagues.
C
Wow.
B
Shout out to you, Vincent. This is exactly what it's all about. We know set your lineups for you.
D
That's right.
B
Try to help you understand the information and then you decide to take it from there and apply it to your own team. Way to go, dude.
D
Congratulations that I made all my own calls because that's. We love to hear it. Yes, we love to hear it. We we don't want to take credit or blame if we're being.
B
Thank you, Savannah. Yes.
D
No, but I think I love it. That's what. And by the way, that's what I do. I don't listen to my. I listen to all the good analysts who I'm lucky enough to work with, and then I make my own calls.
B
I love that. And by the way, I'm not in.
D
Four Super Bowls this year, though, unfortunately. That's because I have mean Mike Clay kick me.
B
That's. That was a tough one. Yeah, that was a tough one. Listening since August is great, too. Thank you for being a loyal listener and a fan of the show. Seriously, it is amazing.
D
So lucky to have such good fans.
