Welcome into Fantasy Focus Football presented by Little Caesars alongside Field Yates and Mike Clay. My name is Daniel Dopp. Here excited to give you a very big show today we have our week 10 preview part one. We're going to dive into the wide receiver cornerback matchups as we always do as a part of the playbook. But first and foremost, it's a beautiful Thursday with some two beautiful dudes. How you guys doing?
B
Thanks, man. Great. Thank you. Yeah. Happy Thursday, everybody. We got football back tonight. So excited for that. It does feel like this time of the year it's a little bit different because we have other sports available to us. I think I said this exactly.
A
I was going to say you're wearing a NASCAR shirt right now.
C
Yeah, I'm in mourning so I'm wearing my. My Chase Briscoe.
B
Why are you mourning? Didn't he win?
C
No, he didn't win the championship. He was in the final four. He had a great season actually. Everything's coming up. Jace Briscoe, he's a big Colts fan. Yeah.
A
Oh, wow.
C
It was his first year. He replaced Martin Truex in the 19 at JGR and went to the final four for NASCAR. And his fantasy team's crushing it.
B
You tell nice.
A
Is it. Is NASCAR similar to football where they talk about how the lower numbers look faster like the 0 car and the 1 car just look faster than the 68 car?
C
I don't know. I mean the lower numbers are pretty popular but you have some super. You know the one of the winning all time no. 6.
B
Oh, that was.
A
There is no.
B
48, right.
C
No, he was 24. Jimmy Johnson 48.
B
Jimmy Johnson, best all time.
C
Yeah. Dale Earnhardt was a 3, though.
A
3.
C
Either Direction or Dale Jr. Big Commanders fan. Big fan. Fantasy Guy was 8 and 88. So he did both. So.
A
Yeah.
C
It's all.
A
Look at that.
B
I now know more about NASCAR in the last 90 seconds.
C
I'm warning it this week because it's over. They just had their, you know, their awards ceremony and all that stuff. Yeah. Now, wait, it's on. You know, it's a short off season. 100 days till Daytona already.
A
That's fair. I am morning. Just sunlight in general. I texted you guys Yesterday at like 4:45 and I was like, I am trying to do my leaves right now and it feels like it's 9pm outside. I don't know where it's at, where in your part of the country or wherever you're listening to this, but here in the northeast, it's like 4:45, 5 o' clock and it feels like it.
C
Is dark out and it's like in the summer it's like 9, 10 and it's still sunny out. Yes. Now it's like crazy. Not even five and it's all right. I don't care for it.
B
I texted you guys that I had moved yesterday. Not the way you responded. So I. Apparently it wasn't that funny of a joke. But then we.
C
We texted ourselves. They're like, finally, he's gone.
A
It's about time.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah. Anyway, so good, let's dive in. We got a lot of fun stuff today, obviously. Week 1 Pre Week 10 Preview Part 1 We each brought a couple of topics to the table.
B
Moody in the chat as well.
A
Oh, yes, that's right. Let's shout out our friend Eric Moody. We love Eric Moody as well. Hanging out in the chat every single week. Follow him on social media in case you don't. Ricknmoodie. And let's dive into our week 10 preview field. I'm starting with you.
B
Hey, hey, hey. All right. Yep. So let's talk about some of the biggest things that we are focusing on this weekend in the world of fantasy football. A reminder, we have international ball back as over in Germany. It'll be the Colts and the Falcons. I do not know who the home team is by definition. Last week at this time we were talking about, hey, is Danny Dimes a lineup lock? He then played the Steelers and he had one of his worst games of the season. He had just over 14 fantasy points in week nine, his second lowest output of the season. He sputtered in week nine and I think makes him different than if Josh Allen has a bad game or Lamar Jackson has a bad game, is that there is very much a yo, yo nature to Daniel Jones football career. Right. He has had some really bright moments much of this year. That season he took the Giants to the playoffs.
A
But beyond that, 50 plus rushing yards that year or something like that.
B
Yeah, but he's also had a lot of duds along the way as well. So when he has one bad one, it kind of makes you a little bit more weary than it would for a Josh Allen dud or a Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson. Dude, he plays the Falcons this weekend. This Falcons team is no joke. I would argue that for our purposes, the two best quarterbacks the Falcons have played, as in, we can debate whether these are the two best quarterbacks they've played in real life, but they're darn near the. They're very close to the top. If they aren't, the two best are Drake May and Josh Allen. You guys agree?
C
Yes. Agreed.
B
Drake May, Josh Allen two of the five or six. I mean Josh one of the two or three and Drake's probably one of the five, six, seven best quarterbacks I've heard in fantasy. Yep. This year, Josh Allen against the Falcons, you guys may recall, 15.4 fantasy points. Not great, right? Yeah, that was in which they were manhandled by the Falcons. And then last week the Patriots, who have been red hot, they still win the game. But Drake May looked mortal for the first time in like a month and a half. 16.4 fantasy points. This Falcons defense is very, very legit. They blitz you like crazy, they force turnovers, they try to generate sacks. It's the Jeff Ulbricht defense. He brought that over from, of course, New York. They're legit. Are you guys confident in Daniel Jones Week 10?
A
I would say that I am mildly confident with the idea for me, the perspective of Daniel Jones's floor. You said his lowest game this year is 14 fantasy.
B
Second lowest is 14.0 second lowest.
A
Okay, so I still feel like with the way that they're utilizing the rest of this offense, he's going to be in the streaming option for me. But I think what he does is he falls from that. Like I feel good about you. QB1 radar too. He comes into like that streaming option or high end QB2 probably. That's where I am.
B
So I'm having an 11. That's the lowest 3 plus. Do you feel you feel a little more confident?
C
I'm at seven. I think he's fine. It's kind of funny if you look at rankings. So I have the like average points per game next to the player for each of the guys. And all of the guys in the top top 10 are averaging. We're just rounding to a whole number 20 or above.
B
Okay.
C
So there's no one else that's above 17 other than Baker Mayfield who we, you know, he's been kind of slumping lately. So he's been a. He's a little lower. So there's a big gap there. Everybody. You have like this tier of all these guys average 20 plus. And then you have everyone else is at like almost 18 with Baker, but 17 or below.
A
Who's.
C
Who's below in that top 10 tier.
B
Who's in that top? Who's the bottom of that top?
C
The bottom would be Daniel Jones and Caleb Williams. But Jackson Dart is technically at 17. But some of those were games he came into. Sure, sure. He's. He's obviously 23 plus when you look at starting.
A
Yeah.
C
So I think, I think it is Jones and Caleb are like at, you know, high 19s.
A
Okay. So when we, we had talked about like we had a line for what we expect for a starting quarterback. You're saying the top 10 averages 20 fantasy points. We put 18 on it. It's like that probably feels about right. Like we have an expectation of a top 10 game.
B
Yeah. We talk about this and I just want to reiterate it a bunch of times. Is that like it's especially in this middle portion of the season, like a lot of sort of the foundation of a lot of the topics we generate is actionable content. Right. Like let's talk about this player and then let's talk about what you should or should not do with that player. Sometimes you sort of. You kind of see saw back and forth between actionable and just like here's a heads up in case something does happen. And this might fall into that category where I'm not saying that if you have Daniel Jones, you should be benching him and picking up Trevor Lawrence to start him. That's a bad example because Lawrence plays the Texans. You're definitely not playing him. But I wouldn't reach to a player where you're like, the matchup is pretty good on paper. Maybe, you know, like, maybe Tua just plays well because the Dolphins are getting blown out by the Bills or something. Like, I wouldn't overthink it too much with Danny Dimes.
A
Agreed.
B
But if he gets you 17 on Sunday morning, I wouldn't be stunned.
A
Agreed.
C
Yeah. And he's interesting because he's a fringe QB one and maybe the best offense in the NFL. So if that comes back to earth a little bit, then you're like, okay. Is he not really startable unless the matchup's great.
B
They could play awesome. But Jonathan Taylor could score three touchdowns and they could win 27. 17. Yeah.
C
Cause he's not adding. He's not running that much. He's scoring rushing touchdowns. But again, if the offense comes back to earth and they start scoring 2.8 touchdowns per game, which is still very good, but not four touchdowns a game. And that's very reasonable to expect as temper temperatures drop. So it's going to be going to be fascinating anyways.
B
All right, what do you got?
A
Did we just get some weather talk for a brief second on the Show? For like 0.2 seconds. It's reasonable when temperatures start to drop.
C
I mean, you'll see, you'll see. Offense.
B
Have you guys the feel like temperature in Chicago this Sunday?
A
No. What's it like?
B
The feels like low is 13. I believe the feels like high is 23.
C
All right. And we don't really care about that unless it's windy. That's what we mean.
B
Chicago, of course, is going to be somewhat windy, but not like 40 miles an hour.
C
That's the concern. Gross.
A
All right. All right, Mike, you're up.
C
All right. First one for me. I'm going to talk about a quarterback and his playmakers around him. It's actually just so happens to be in the bottom of the screen. The commander's offense gone now from the screen. So end of topic.
A
Yes.
B
That was the best you've been all year on the podcast.
C
Yeah. Nailed it. Let's talk about the commander's offense. No Jaden Daniels maybe for the rest of the season. Certainly for quite a while.
B
I think we're banking on the rest of the season.
C
Yeah, I mean, I think we're all. He's safe to drop, you know, if you want to store him on ir, fine. But much like Joe, actually, I probably think it's more likely we see Burrow than Daniels. To be completely honest, after that, I'd.
B
Be surprised on both of them. But I think Burrow is definitely more likely. Especially because if like the commanders aren't going to bring Jaden Daniels back to play in meaningless football. Same with the Bengals after he just got hurt in a meaningless football game.
C
Yeah, same with the Bengals. I mean if they're hanging in there and have a shot at a wild card and they're ready to go with two games left, maybe, but it's a. It seems like a long shot anyway. Marcus Mariota has played over half the snaps in five games since joining the Commanders last season. Guys, he's averaging. There's that number 18.7 fantasy points per game. He's been solid two plus passing touchdowns in three of the five 20 plus rushing yards in all five of those games, an average of 35.6. So you're basically getting a passing touchdown, the equivalent of a passing touchdown from him, just from his rushing yardage. Not even touchdown. So that helps. He does have the lions this week. 5th lowest EPA against the past their top five in sacks and interceptions. Daniel, They've been crushing it defensively much like they did in the first half last season. So it is a tough matchup. I'm not going to stream him this week, but I do think he will be streamable some weeks when the matchup is right going forward. So keep that in mind. As for the skill guys, if you look at the three games he started this season and played throughout, there's three games he started. He played the whole game. No commander is averaging more than 12 and a half fantasy points per game. Other than him, of course.
A
Really?
B
Who is that?
C
Yeah, it's number one is Terry McLaren. He won 12 and a half two games. And number two, a hair over 10 points is Luke McCaffrey. He's out and then that's it. Debo Samuel is at. What was he? He's debo in his three Mariota games. 29 yards and 4.9 fantasy points. They need a good one. 81 yards and a touchdown, 20.1 points and then 12 yards and 4.2 points. So two terrible games, one very good game. Zach hurts in those games. Under 40 yards and under seven fantasy points in all three. So the, the skill guys have not been good at all with Mariota. He is hung on the fantasy radar. I think the way to approach this is the running game. You're avoiding cross key Merritt desperation, deep league flex, especially non ppr. But avoid if you can. Zach Ertz is a tight end too, probably not starting him. And Debo Samuel is a lineup lock. Cause Terry McLaren's still out. So I'm still starting Debo. But the skill guys are not in a good spot in this offense right now.
A
Debo has taken a dip. You had mentioned this when we were looking at my focus lineup. I thought I had something earlier in the season with Debo because he was the guy. He feels just more containable at this point for defenses.
B
Remind me next year like October 1st, like veteran who comes up to a red hot, red hot start by default.
A
Immediately sell them is it's a sell high candidate.
B
Like just when we're talking about sell highs. Yeah, I understand that it's easy for us to get, you know, clung on like hey, you know, whatever. Like Roma dunes. Do you sell high there? Maybe you should have. But it's also possible that Roma dunes gets back on track and wide receiver.
C
Be one of my number one buy.
B
But at the time in October when you.
C
Oh yeah, yeah.
B
You sell high Now I'm just saying, like sell old guys.
A
One of you guys. This is not an old guy. But I just want to give one of you credits. Unless I shouldn't. We'll figure it out as I do this, but one of us. When we were talking about Xavier Worthy, I think I thought it was you, Mike. You were saying like maybe the. The whole thing was Xavier Worthy is when he comes back after that first big game because we were worried about how he's going to hold up with his shoulder. I would just sell him as soon as he has that first.
C
We talked about that before he came back.
A
Before he came back. And then he came back, had one big game with 17, some fantasy points and I don't think he's topped really 11 fantasy points.
B
Yeah.
C
My thought though was will he get hurt again? Though it wasn't necessarily performance. I was more optimistic. Field I think was a little more pessimist than I was, but it just hasn't happened.
A
Selling high is just such an interesting conversation regardless of who it is because it's like everyone has a different line.
B
Yeah.
A
Am I willing to like continue to hold? Do I think that there's more here? Do I just want to get out? Because I don't believe in it. Like it's such a. Trading in fantasy football is one of my favorite things.
B
There's a lot of ball game left obviously in the season, but like, can you imagine Xavier worthy going zero games this year with 20 or more fantasy points? No, it hasn't happened yet.
A
Especially. Especially if we started the season without six weeks with no Rasheed Rice and obviously he missed a bunch of that.
C
I think it's going to be hard for him to fail in this offense though, I mean, if they, I mean, they came back to earth a little bit last week, but if they continue to roll and score three, four touchdowns a game, he's going to get, he's going to have to get. He's going to make it a part of the offense.
B
What do you think his highest score so far in a game this season is? I just got this confirmed the first game. 17.1 fantasy points. Yeah. Wild.
C
Since then it's been all single digits. Right.
B
What about some of the random receivers that have gotten to 20 plus points and you're like Xavier Worthy, a first round pick a year ago, can't get there.
A
Anyway, Tori Horton caught two touchdown passes last week.
C
All right, all right, we.
A
First thing, a little bit of news. Just as a reminder. Yesterday we talked about how Jacoby Brissette going to be the starting quarterback for this team. It is now official that Kyler Murray has been placed on ir. He is definitely going to miss at least four games.
B
Can we do a poll question?
A
Yeah, let's do it.
B
Or a chat. Poll question?
C
Yeah.
B
Will Kyler Murray ever play a snap for the Cardinals?
C
No.
B
I know Mike's answer.
A
I would also say no.
B
I'm not saying I don't. I don't want to influence the audience yet. So I want to see what they say.
A
Okay, yeah, I'm interested. It doesn't feel like things are. Doesn't feel like things are great over there right now.
C
If you're a Cardinals fan and you go through the whole offseason, then you just go right back into week one with the status quo. I think that's going to be hard.
A
Agree.
C
It's going to feel like you're just living in purgatory at quarterback and so many teams do that.
B
You know, there are people that get frustrated when people that grew up as fans of a team then cover that team because they think they do it with a biased lens. Through a biased lens. And yeah, I mean, listen, it's, it's the world we live in today. A lot of people have a platform. You definitely see some people that still have the Cardinal colored glasses or the Packer cover glasses, the Jaguars cover glasses, the Patriot, whatever the team is, cover glasses. That being said, I've also found like some of the people that admit their fans are my favorite people to follow, cover the team because they wear the heart in their sleeve and they're like, there are, there are Cardinals fans who are like, no, never again. Like, if he comes back as my quarterback, I will be so disappointed. Like everybody can call this whatever they want to call it. He got flat out benched. Like the foot thing happens to help the cause here. But he was getting close to coming back. And then what, four weeks into the recovery they're like, you know what, let's go to ir.
A
Yeah, yeah, maybe not.
C
Let's just do that.
A
Let's go to a 33 year old quarterback that we know isn't going to be the future of our franchise. But he's just playing better right now. So I want to ask you guys, I looked at this ranking. Are we ranking Jacoby Brissette too low field? You talked about Seattle.
B
Yeah, that's the problem.
A
All right, so let me run through this a little bit. Jacoby Brissette, in his three games that he started this year, 21.7 fantasy points as QB5 on the season. Okay? Yeah, he had 20.7, 19.7 and 24.8. So no gain below 19 and a half fantasy points. And the Seahawks are good, but I just want to run through the quarterbacks they've played. Okay. Jaden Daniels, he's QB12. On the season, he's still Jaden Daniels, but you know, he has not played well. Baker Mayfield, he's still Baker Mayfield, but he's quarterback 13. On the year, Trevor Lawrence was quarterback 18. Aaron Rodgers is quarterback 20. Kyler's quarterback 22.
B
C.J.
A
Stroud is quarterback 24. Spencer Rattler is quarterback 30. They have not played a single quarterback inside the top 12 at the position. Now, mind you, Jane Daniels and Baker Mayfield are better than a top 12 quarterback in fantasy, but they haven't played a murderous row of quarterbacks.
C
My pushback on that is they're playing Jacoby Brussels, right.
B
And I know he's had a few.
C
But like, is he better than Aaron Rodgers?
B
Yeah, I don't know who has he played it against? Like, so he has gotten the job done against the Cowboys, the Colts, the.
A
Packers and the Cowboys.
B
The packers is to me the most legitimate of those three. We've talked about how the Colts, because of how games have gone, have been vulnerable against the past and the packers.
C
Strength has been against the run more than the past two.
B
I agree. So I hear you and I think the only logical conclusion here is to board bet this.
A
I agree with you. Thank you very much.
B
That was the only. Because I think I, I lean more towards like out than in.
A
I lean more towards trusting the veteran. What did you just say?
C
I'm at 20.
A
You have him as quarterback.
B
Let's go to. I forget Where I have him. Do we have our three people ranks.
C
Up there in Seattle? Are you kidding me?
B
I've got a 15. You're 13. Mike's a 20.
A
All right, so where do we put.
C
Oh, you're in the middle. So I guess I have to board bet this. Do we?
B
Yeah, 16. So I guess so three and a half. It'd be 16. So, like 16 or better, Daniel wins. 17 or worse, Mike wins.
C
Yeah, okay. Yeah, whatever. I mean, as long as you agree to it.
A
I agree with that.
C
I'll agree with whatever.
B
Yeah, all right, fine. I'll agree with what I said top 32. Let's change it.
C
Let's change it. What's funny about the sport bet is you're still ranking him as a. Not a starter.
A
Well, I mean, he's a fringe guy, but yes, I still would trust him more.
C
So go ahead.
A
I say Jacoby Brissette is a top 16 quarterback here in week 10.
C
I say Jacoby Brissette is outside the top 16 quarterbacks in week 10.
A
Put on the board.
B
Just to confirm. I say Jacoby Brissetta's quarterback 16.5 on the week.
C
There you go.
A
That's fair. That's fair. Okay.
B
High likelihood of that happening.
A
All right. All right.
B
Better for sure. I mean, and the best part about this, because I don't think a ton of people are turning to Jacoby Brissette, is it definitely increases our confidence for. We've talked about Marvin Harrison Jr. But go to the Trey McBride splits. Like, those are legit. Like Trey McBride has, who's an amazing player, has been awesome with Jacoby Brissette. Agreed.
C
Harrison had one bad game, one great game. So we'll see how that works out.
A
But I definitely.
C
If I have Harrison on my team, I'd feel much better.
A

A
Okay.
B
That I'm not sure we have yet acknowledged and given him enough flowers. Jared Goff for being an elite fantasy quarterback. Jared Goff is an elite fantasy quarterback. That's not the quarterback that I am talking about.
A
Okay. All right.
B
Is it Jackson Dart?
C
Yes, yes.
B
Mike mentioned him.
C
He saw his projection this week guys.
B
So fun fact. Jackson Dart, unless this has changed, has the highest projection of any quarterback in all of fantasy.
C
Lamar is like decimal.
B
Oh, there's.
C
There was a slight adjustment in there, but it's basically a toss up so.
B
But whether it's the highest or second highest, the point is it's a huge number. And let's just talk about a couple of things before we get into the matchup. He has averaged 22.35 points per game since being named the starter in week four. That's quarterback four. During that stretch he has four straight games with 19.4 or more. He's top three amongst all quarterbacks in two of his last three games. He is running the football a ton. So much, almost at a frightening rate. Like I gotta tell you, all these quarterbacks that aren't like basically Josh Allen where they're linebacker sized or defensive end sized or Lamar Jackson because he's just literally faster than everybody else in the entire field make me nervous. Like Jada Daniels has me kind of nervous right now. But the Giants are still going kitchen sink here. They need to win games to potentially save jobs. Jackson nerd is running a ton. On top of that, they don't really have a finisher at the goal line right now. Devin Singletary or Tyrone Tracy not going to be the guy that you just turn the football over to on the one or two yard line and confidently say they will get in. Also important here and perhaps the reason why he goes from maybe fifth or sixth highest projected quarterback to second play the Bears.
C
Yeah.
B
And we talked about Caleb Williams and how he capitalized last week against the bank, the Bengals. Joe Flacco also capitalized against the Bears. The Bears, when they are not turning the football over, are not a good defense. They just period point blank are not. And they've allowed the seventh most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
A
Joe just threw. Was that, was that the 470 game that this last week.
B
488.
C
480.
A
Okay. There's so many games I've been trying to remember. What do you know off the top of your head what the most passing yards Jackson Dart has this year is?
B
I think it's under 300 or 2.
A
Okay.
C
Yeah.
A
I was wondering if you guys thought he could get to 300 in this one or if he just.
B
I could see. I mean, I could certainly see it.
A
It's tough without the receiving core around him. He just doesn't have a lot of people, which is. Obviously, you're talking about him doing this with his legs.
C
Oh, he did have two.
B
So 283. I was going to say.
C
I think it's been under around 200 quite a bit. I think it's hard. It's hard to get 50 rushing in 300 passing for anyone.
A
For anybody in the.
C
Fine.
B
Lamar.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
C
Even him.
B
Okay. So I want to just do. Because I do think this will be a story on Sunday. Weather changes, as you guys know, like, every 10 minutes in the world of.
C
Oh, of course.
B
But current projections on Sunday include the potential for 1 to 2 inches of snow overnight going into Sunday in Chicago. Right now, the precipitation is not taking place during the game, but we could be getting some both before and after the game.
A
Maybe our first snow game of the year, guys.
B
I think it'll be, you know, it'll be covered overnight and then it will be removed by then. But just. We're putting weather on alert for a couple of places. There's this cold front going through right now. I saw that it's, like, going to be incredibly cold down in like, like, like Texas and some of the other states that normally we don't associate cold with.
C
I'll tell you what, I woke up in the middle of the night last night from the wind. That was. If you hear that.
A
Yes, I did.
C
Oh, my goodness.
A
Yes.
B
I believe we have an update to our poll question.
A
All right.
C
Yeah.
B
All right. Play a snap for the cardinals again. No.
A
80%.
C
So what do you think?
B
I think no.
C
Yeah. How great. That's going to be hard to.
B
One thing that we are seeing is we've seen some veterans on second or third acts. Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, etcetera, Playing really well this year. That even teams at the top of the draft who have a lot of needs might just say, let's go the veteran route rather than just draft a quarterback.
A
Do you think? And then we'll get back to fantasy. Because this is a total tangent here, but, like we literally just passed the trade deadline. Do you think that they tried or do you think that it was like, listen, we're gonna have to like, shut it down. We're not gonna trade Kyler Murray at the trade deadline.
B
That's an offseason appetite. Yeah, I think it's one of those where you're probably getting not full value at the deadline. At the deadline with how Stevens are sort of like they're in between. Right. If the jets really wanted to acquire Kyler Murray, just wait till the off season, have an entire year off season to develop him within your system, not develop Kyler Murray as a player.
C
They'll probably have a market. I think the only shot there was if, like a top team lost their quarterback for the season. That was probably your. Your best path to. To do that. But, yeah, Arizona's a tricky one because I felt they were my sleeper team in the NFC in the off season, and I feel like they're just on the front. They've had a lot of close losses. If they had that quarterback play, though, I mean, the defense is now healthier and better. Walter Nolan looks like a hit. Yeah, he looks one game.
B
I mean, they led for more minutes this year than the Chiefs or the Bills.
C
Yeah, I mean, they're good team.
B
Yes.
C
They're a good team.
B
It's insane. They just can't finish games. They cannot, cannot finish games.
A
All right, let's finish this segment.
B
Jackson dart. Lock him in. He's really good. Yep.
C
Your brain waiver wire fine. Yeah. Mine will be quicker because we have the Giants and Bears game, both backfields, kind of interesting in this one. I'll focus on the Bears here. If there's an. There's a either or. Right. Does DeAndre Swift come back and play? Let's start there. If he comes back and plays, you're putting him in your lineup. Then you're probably avoiding Kyle Menangai. Maybe a flex option against this defense because the Giants have a lot. Eleven touchdowns, an NFL high 5.9 yards per carry, and the second most fantasy points to running back. So it is a good matchup there. Swift has been awesome. A touchdown and 15 plus fantasy points in four straight 60 plus scrimmage yards in every game this season. His efficiency has been good. So if he comes back, I still expect him to be the lead back. I don't think this is a Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dowdle situation here last week. Manangai again. I did this all day yesterday. It was the Bengals. Okay. So take it with a grain of salt. He Looks like a fine but it was Bengals. He was fantastic but he was under five and a half fantasy points in all but two games. This one and then a couple weeks ago where him and Swift both at that that huge game in a good matchup. So Swift's back. He's an RB2 Manung guy, borderline flex if Swift is out. Different conversation. Manangai Just like last week, you noticed this if you saw him in the projections. He went from a bench guy to a lineup lock RB1 and he delivered. That's going to be the same scenario. This is another really good matchup and.
B
Swift did practice yesterday. Actually both he and Manung guy were limited yesterday. So Manung guy dealing with I think an ankle injury now for the Bears. But feel you I think we were kind of aligned. We did sort of a running back panic meter on Tuesday's show and we were not fully panicked on DeAndre Swift like we were for some of the.
C
Other oh he's playing well. Achuba Hubbard is was fine. He wasn't really moving the needle though. DeAndre Swift has moved the needle. He's a player.
A
He's our league basketball playing well. All right, I'm going to talk about starting or sitting a couple of wide receivers because Mike Clay has tried unsuccessfully to be able to pick a Packers wide receiver during the start of the week segment. So he has chosen not even just wide receivers, just in general. Jordan Love, that one didn't work out. Matthew golden, that one didn't work out. Even Christian Watson, that one didn't work out. No one works but you are not Mike Clay.
C
Nope, don't listen to me on Packers.
A
That's right, you're a winner and you've got friends and that's why you can start Romeo Dobbs this week.
C
Ooh, maybe. Yeah, let's talk about it.
A
No Tucker Kraft, no Jaden Reed, no Matthew golden since week four.
B
Do we know that on golden or.
A
Did he Sorry, he is not officially out. He's day to day but he is day to day. Yes.
B
So there's a chance he's out at.
A
The very least since week four. Romeo Dobbs has a 25% target share in this offense. Four of his last five games he has seen at least eight targets. We've been talking about not having a Packers wide receiver and like actually we have had a guy the last couple weeks and it has been Romeo Dobbs at least ten and a half fantasy points in four of those five games. The other game that he didn't, he still had 9.4 fantasy points. So we didn't like crush you. He at least got something there. But over the last month, he's wide receiver 8 in targets. Wide receiver top 15 in both receptions and receiving yards. So for me, when I look at this situation, again, no Tucker Craft and the rest of this receiving core. Romeo Dobbs, with his usage, has moved his way up into the flex radar. He's a top 30 wide receiver this week. I think Christian Watson, probably more of a wide receiver for we know what he can be. Yeah, he's that boom bust guy. But Romeo Dobbs, if you need someone this week, we got a handful of wide receivers on by this week. Yeah, Romeo Dobbs, absolutely a flex radar. Fill in for you.
B
Wide receiver 20 in my ranks this week. Romeo Dobbs, I mean, the volume is legit. It is with the, you know, someone. Luke Musgrave might be the obvious answer in terms of who soaks up some of Tucker Craft's targets.
A
And Malik Ether. Everybody reminds me Savion Williams. Yeah.
B
And Savion will get some of their stuff or receivers.
C
But.
B
And like, clearly it should have been in the reverse order. Looking back on it now, but Luke Musgrave, for whatever it's worth, was taken around ahead of Tucker Kraft. There was a lot of pedigree. The top 50, I think it was 58th or 59th overall. Dan Orlofsky had an interesting thought on this packers offense that he articulated very well because he's elite at what he does that I kind of wish I had been able to put in the words that he did, but he was like. Sometimes when I watch, it was something to the effect of when I watch the packers, it almost feels like they're just trying to be like too creative all the time.
C
Yes.
B
It's like, can we just run some plays here? Like just hand the ball off to Josh Jacobs and run power right or like just play action pass down the field. It's always like, it's like, you know, pop pass here. Let's get Savion Williams, his customary like one to two opportunities a game. And like here's like a triple screen to Chris Brooks and it's like, let's just like get the ball into the end.
C
I think it was Ben Solak, so I apologize if it was someone else who was also. Our colleague posted a chart. It was like the packers, when they're. They're average depth of target, when they're a heavy favorite, a close favorite, a slight underdog and a major underdog, and they're just so conservative when they are favored, really, they're underdogs, they're more aggressive. So they get. They play to the level of their competition. It seems like that you've seen that this season and it shows up in the numbers too. So their play calling changes based on the opponent. So that kind of to your point, I mean, same thing, like what is.
A
On a throat, the worst things, this is more of a, like a basketball thing. But I think of players that play up to their level. It's hard to do that in football because it's 11 on 11. But like there are guys that.
C
It's like you're calling plays different.
A
Well, you're right, absolutely. But there, there are some people that just when you play up to the level of the competition, you leave so much on the table, as evidenced by a loss to the Carolina.
C
You know what, they are too on this idea of the Sean McVeigh and the Rams. The packers are on the other side. Like spread it around. We don't care. Like you think like McPherson.
A
We have a.
C
We have a star player. We're going to feature that player. Yeah, packers don't care about that at all. We don't have a star player. They don't feature anyone. And that's where I missed in the off season on golden because I thought if you're actually going to spend a one on a receiver, that's because you're going to say, okay, he's now a difference maker. We're going to feature that player. And that's by the way, that's my concern with Dobbs too. Like I'm optimistic too, based on what we've seen. I have him fifth in our 25th, excuse me, in my rankings at receiver, but I'm worried it's just going to the bottom. Could level back out.
A
Absolutely.
C
Also chance he's shadowed by Quinion Mitchell. I don't think he will be necessarily because Christian Watson now on the other side. Yeah, I don't, I don't know. I just think he probably doesn't shadow. But it might be Dobbs. Based on what's happened the last month.
B
You had a second receiver or was just one.
A
It was Christian Watson. It was just saying that if you were going to use him. Yes, that's right. Okay.
B
We've already addressed this in some different ways this week.
A
Okay.
B
But as we think about like elite receivers, again, not whether you're playing him or not, but whether he can win you your week or not. Did JJ McCarthy's performance in week nine instill any more confidence that Justin Jefferson is going to have like 30 points pretty soon in a game.
C
Go that far.
B
But okay, not really. Right. Like they play the Ravens on Sunday and I think for a while it was fair to say, like you play the Ravens, that means great things. Fun factor, the Ravens since Week 6, 13 points per game allowed. Like this is sort of what the Ravens have been accustomed to being. Right?
A
13 points per game to teams or to the quarterback?
B
Sorry, just to teams. Teams. They were allowing just over 35 points per game prior to that and 13 points per game.
C
Wow.
B
Smaller sample size, obviously, but still they have been better. The eye test suggests that as well. One of the big things that's taking place since then is they traded for Alohi Gillman from the Chargers. Kyle Hamilton has become this box player as opposed to being stuck playing free safety, basically. So I say I bring those sort of non fantasy points up because it does impact opposing passing games. And J.J. mcCarthy has yet to throw for even 160 yards in three starts. Like, I know it's a small sample size, but 160 is not some huge bar to clear. And on top of that, 66 passing attempts in those three games. If this Vikings defense plays like it did last week, that's bad for the chances of JJ McCarthy's offensive explosion taking place. So he's, he's Justin Jefferson. Of course, he could go off for, you know, 22, 23 every single week. I just. There's there you came into the season saying to yourself, like, I could expect 22 point fantasy points 10 times this year from Justin Jefferson and that's probably not going to happen.
A
Can you put a little context for our people at home? You said 66 pass attempts in three games.
B
Three games, yeah.
A
So he's averaging 22 pass attempts in a game. What's like league average for pass?
C
Probably 10 more than that.
B
Somewhere between 30 and 35. Okay. I mean, Joe Flacco throws the ball 50 times a game.
A
Well, right, obviously that example.
B
But the point is that like, yeah, like, I think if you're getting between like 29 and 34, that's a reasonable expectation.
A
I guess I'm a little bit higher. And maybe some of this is scar tissue coming off of like watching him in his third game play really well against what I thought was a tough Lions defense. He didn't have to do a lot though, because he was given short fields. I don't want to fault him for that because he still found his way to get in the end zone. Like that's the positives.
B
I thought he made a handful of huge plays.
C
Sure did.
B
I didn't think he played great on the whole.
C
Okay, I would agree.
B
56% of his passes. He completed 56% of his passes.
A
Well, it's also his third start in the NFL. But that's part of the conversation, right?
B
I get that.6% of the passes. Like, I'm not like, hey, he only completed if he completed 62. I'd be like, all right, 62. You'd like to be above that number, but it's not awful. But did I see 56 is pretty low.
A
Was there anything that I saw from J.J. mcCarthy that would make me feel like all of a sudden I have to either panic or feel like Justin Jefferson just like to the moon? I don't think so, no.
B
And on top of that, it wasn't like, you know, we've seen backup quarterbacks like Mac Jones, who, by the way, might start again on Sunday.
A
Crazy.
B
We should talk about that at some point. Table that thought for a minute. Like, we saw Mac Jones last year completely unleash Brian Thomas Jr. In part because they just peppered Brian Thomas Jr. With targets. It's not like they're peppering Justin Jefferson with target.
A
Not like they have in the past.
C
They haven't had a shot. I mean, the offense has been so low volume. So what I was going to say is let's hope they're trailing Baltimore and we actually get one look at McCarthy throwing 40 passes. We need that situate. We haven't seen it yet. He hasn't been in that position. And then we'll see if he throws for 340 yards and Jefferson is 147 and we're good, you know, but we just haven't seen it. There's been no opportunity in this office.
B
I missed where you guys have Jefferson ranked. And again, the number doesn't really matter in the sense that, like, you're starting him either way. But my ranking is a little bit lower than where I know Mike is at. I'm at six, you guys are at four. So, I mean, we're nitpicking here, but.
A
I say Justin Jefferson's a top five wide receiver, dude.
B
Okay, fine. I say Justin Jefferson is not a top five wide receiver. Like, that's amazing odds for me.
A
That's good. That's good.
C
Last one for me, another receiver, Juwan Jennings. This is a guy that's trending up right now, Brock Purdy. Yeah, speaking of Brock Purdy, 4 for 41 and touchdown last week, 14.1 fantasy points were his most since that big Week 2 game rate in 19.9. But he hasn't cleared 45 yards in a game since Week 2. That's the bad. The good is his 24.7 targets over the last three games is almost identical to what he was at last year, 24.9%. And he was 24th in fantasy points at receiver last season. They're playing the Rams. They haven't. They've only had five touchdowns to receivers, which is very low. But they're top 10 in catches and yards. And you may remember it was Thursday night when these teams played about a month ago. And in that game, Kendrick Bourne just had no trouble getting open at 10 for 1:42 as their top receiver for the 49ers. So Jennings trending up, presumably getting healthier. He admitted he's been very beat up a few weeks ago, but a guy I feel confident starting right now and even this week in this matchup, would.
A
You say his target share was over the last 24.7% and that's over how many games?
B
Three.
C
Last three. As he's been back and healthy now he's like getting his target back to where it was last year.
B
Perfect time to have this conversation then about Brock Purdy. I don't know, guys. I don't know.
C
Is this a. Do you feel like it's similar?
B
Not.
C
It's not that bad, but like, similar maybe. No.
A
He just signed a contract. Like he wants to be there.
C
Let me ask this differently. Let's say. Let's say Mac Jones has been horrendous the last few weeks. Do you think Purdy's more likely to start this week? That's the question I'm asking. Yes.
B
I think that they are very much comfortable continuing to buy themselves time because of the way that Mack is performing.
C
Absolutely.
B
And I get it. It hasn't always been perfect, right? But sometimes it's not just like, how well, like, what the numbers tell you, but like, is the quarterback functioning well within the offense? Listen, I know they took Trey Lance. The worst kept secret in NFL history is that Kyle Shanahan loved, loved Mac Jones and he wanted to take him third overall in 2021. I don't think that love has gone away. So they have a buy in week 14. There's a part of me that's like, could Mac Jones be their starter through the buy?
A
Maybe.
C
I think it's. I mean, if he's horrendous against the Rams this week, maybe they're like, all.
B
Right, one pumpkin game. Yes. No doubt. Maybe.
C
Maybe.
B
I don't know. I mean, at this point, I'm just now. I'm now in the point where like, unless your name is Patrick Holmes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, it's like Jalen hurts. Like I just don't call anything a certainty anymore. But my point is that with the way that Mack has played, it's definitely above the line that you need to be above in order for a coach to say, we're going to continue to let the other guy get healthy and we're going to continue to start you. So I just kept thinking it was like, Matt, a matter of time, week nine, 10, 11, somewhere there for Brock Purdy. I don't know. I don't have a good answer anymore.
C
Yeah, I was just curious. I was like, Jones has been fine, not spectacular. And he's 14 in QBR, so he's fun to find.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. So he's done this with an extremely banged up team.
C
No doubt about it. Yeah.
B
I'm not. I'm not saying he has been as productive as Brock Purdy has in prior years, but like, you know, George Kittle missed four games with or five games because of an injury. There's been barely any Ricky Pierce, all. No Brandon Iuk, Debo Samuel got traded, the offensive lines dealt with some turnover. Like, it's been. All things considered, Everybody in the 49ers has impressed me this year.
C
I think they're in. I think the Rams win this one comfortably. I do too, honestly. And maybe that changes things. I. Yeah, I honestly could. I can. The 49ers are one of them, much like the packers receivers. I cannot figure out the 49ers. It's like last year they were. They were healthier than they are now and they couldn't win a game this year they're a mess. And on paper they should not have. They should not be competitive and they're winning. Yep. It's. They're a bizarre.
A
I would like to throw one thing out about the 49ers that I'm going to watch in this game. We're not doing what are you watching in these segments. But 25% target share over the last three games for Juwan Jennings. Those three games coincide with something that I brought up to you earlier this week, which is George Kittle having two targets, five targets and four targets in his three games that he has returned. Do we start to see Mack, Jones and George Kittle develop a little bit more of a connection? Because even though he's found his way in the end zone he hasn't been getting a big target share which is why Juwan Jennings has a 25 target share when Kittle hasn't even topped five targets yet.
C
There's room for both. Kittle's generally around 20%. He can get there and you could still get 25. I mean we saw it last year. That's where they were last year.
A
That's where they're at.
C
There's no piers. All right now. So who else are you throwing to?
A
That's right. Last one. Dallas Goddard. Are you trusting him against the Green Bay Packers? I just wanted to bring it up because in case you didn't know or you hadn't been paying attention, we don't talk about Dallas Goddard as like a top tier tight end name in fantasy football. He's kind of been that though this year he has one game below 10 fantasy points. One game where he has not scored 10 fantasy points.
B
He keeps scoring touchdowns.
A
Keeps scoring touchdowns. This is part of the conversation. However, I just want to say devonte Smith and AJ Brown can't say they only have one game without double digit fantasy points. So he has been unbelievable. Mike did mention it. He has been a little bit touchdown dependent.
B
A lotta. A little bit.
A
He has scored in five of his six games and those five games he has seven touchdowns. So seven touchdowns in his six games. Under 40 yards already. Under 40 yards in five of his last six games. Three or fewer catches in four of those six games. So I want to ask you guys, what is the difference between a Dallas Goddard and a Dalton Kincaid in fantasy football this year?
C
Very higher target share and higher.
A
Higher.
C
More playing time and target share for Dallas Goddard.
A
They feel like the same player. But I also feel better about Dallas Goddard than Dalton Kincaid and that's totally fine.
B
Like I think, you know, we. When you're talking about these tight ends. Right. So there's the class of guys that it's like even if they're in a little bit of a rut, you're still playing.
A
You're still playing them a lot.
B
George Kittle.
A
Yep. Brock Bowers.
B
Yeah. You're still playing those guys. Right. I think Goddard's graduated to the top of the class where if you have, I'm sure you have your rankings pulled up.
C
I do.
B
Just start renting.
C
McBride and Bowers are top tier. Then Laporta, Warren Kittle, so you're top five. Then you have Kyle Pitts around a Gadson, Dallas Goddard and then you get after that it's like Henry Kincaid, Fannin Theo Johnson Andrews.
B
So if you have any of those guys? Theo Johnson and Dallas Goddard? You're just playing Dallas Goddard. Yes. Better off, higher chance of a touchdown. That's where I'm at with Dallas Goddard.
C
Agreed.
B
So do I fully trust him? Am I totally guaranteeing 10 plus fantasy points? Of course not.
A
Definitely. No. But it has continued to happen over and over in this offense.
B
Yeah.
C
I mean, here's the thing. He's averaging 14 points per game. That would put him third on the list of all the tight ends in our rankings this week so far this season.
A
Yep.
C
We have him ranked 8th for a reason or in that vicinity for a reason. We expect him to come back to earth. He's.
B
He can't.
C
He's not an elite guy. He's absolutely on the list of sells like you're, you know, that's a guy you try. If someone's buying into him as a top three or four tight end, you take advantage.
A
Now that being said, seven touchdowns in six games. He is plus 225 at ESPN BET for an anytime touchdown right now. So.
C
See, they're smart.
A
I would, I would at least. Yeah, at least think about it. All right, now it's time for the real deal presented by Little Caesars. We are picking one player rostered under 60%. If they reach 15 or more fantasy points, come back on Monday, get 15% of Little Caesar's right here. I have won all but one week.
C
So is that four, three or four?
A
It was four of five weeks so far. I don't remember who let me down.
B
Wasn't it like by a very narrow margin?
A
Yes, I believe that it was. It might have been Michael Penn. I think you're right. Yeah. It's those lefties you can never trust.
C
Right.
A
Last week? Yeah, yeah, it was a really good one last week.
C
This week.
A
No. I have decided I'm allowed to pick the same player more than once, but I will never pick the same player in back to back weeks. I'm going to continue to rotate for the spirit of the game. Spirit of the game is telling me to play J.J. mcCarthy.
C
Okay.
A
Projected for 17.7 fantasy points against the Baltimore Ravens, rostered in 38% of leagues. Fields, you already talked about J.J. mcCarthy a little bit earlier in the show, but Ravens have allowed the ninth most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position this season, allowing almost 19 points per game. Philly has, or excuse me, Baltimore has. They've obviously tightened up a little bit here recently. So we're going to see going to be a stiff test for JJ McCarthy. But coming out of this big game against the Detroit Lions. He is our real deal player of the week here in week 10.
B
They say life balance, right. And so I cut him down just for Daniel to build him back up.
C
Basically. He can be a limited passer and still get to 15 points because of his legs, much like Jackson yard has times this year.
A
So yeah, he had a rushing touchdown last week, I believe, unfortunately, which was.
C
Yeah, his rushing in all three games has been good. I think he has either like what, 30 yards or a rush rushing touchdown in all three. Something like that. JJ yeah.
A
Okay.
B
Rushing touchdown in week one, also in week nine and then not in week two.
A
All right, let's dive into the shatter report presented by Mike Clay's playbrook brought to you by Brooke now. Yeah, that was a. That was a thing. All right, Mike, give us some wide receiver upgrades for this, all right.
C
Upgrades opposite of earmuffs for Daniel Jameson Williams and Aman Ross St. Brown against the Washington Commander.
A
Yes.
C
Lead commander, second most yards, six most fantasy points and 11 touchdowns already to receivers. And you may have seen Marshawn Lattimore IR done saw that the season with a torn acl. That means Mikey Sanders still who we've seen him get beat a few times this year, hasn't kind of made that leap. Jonathan Jones, who's playing on the perimeter now, he's a longtime slot guy for the Patriots and Trey Amos is the other perimeter corner. So round pick.
B
Yep.
C
Yeah. So they are in a tough spot and your lines are in a good spot here in week 10.
A
Yeah, yeah.
C
Absolutely.
A
Huge bounce back because of how embarrassed they probably were this last week. I think a lot of lots online for this.
C
Yeah, I mean, yeah, commanders too, you could say. But I don't think it's a little different. Their season's not. Not going the right direction. Quentin Johnson and Kenan Allen and Lad Bikonkey going up against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Again, a defense we much like. Baltimore at some point expect them to turn the corner, but they cannot stop anyone through the air. The most targets, catches, yards and fantasy points to receivers. They've allowed 50 plus fantasy points to the opposing wide receiver room in three of their last five, including 55 points to Colts receivers just this past week. So good news all around for the passing game out there in Los Angeles. And the final upgrade here is the Giants wide receivers. Wanda Robinson, really, Darius Slayton and how about, how about Ray Ray McLeod going from cut by Atlanta to replacing little Jordan Humphrey as their promotion and then playing every snap, almost every snap last week?
B
Well, he was cut from Atlanta. Did not seem like it seemed like.
C
There was a behind the scenes thing. Yeah, he was good way of categorizing it. Yes. But anyway the Giants will take anything they can get and he was a every down player last week. So anyway we're upgrading these guys again. Chicago third most fantasy points, the second most touchdowns with 13 and 9.8 yards per target. That second highest to receivers. If you watch last week's game The Bears allowed 17 plus fantasy points to not one, not two but three Bengals wide receivers.
B
Yoshi Boss was the third.
C
Curious. Yes, they are having a hard time. Jalen Johnson and Kyler Gordon is still on IR so it's Tyreek Stevenson, Nishan Wright and Nick McLeod and CJ Gardner. Johnson who just signed and he played.
B
60% of the snaps left.
C
Yeah, he's playing a lot of slot corner for them. So yeah matchup for or a good matchup for Wanda and Co. Where do.
A
You have them ranked? Is Wandale a set it and forget it Wide receiver too.
C
I have him 16 otherwise I mean you're talking you're in a tough spot. Darius Lane Maybe is a 12 team flex.
A
12 team flex.
B
Okay.
C
You need a need one probably slid.
B
Back to old form last week. Weight though.
A
Yeah.
B
But still catches for 40 yards.
C
Yeah, that checks out.
B
Was it 40 or 50? Might have been 50.
C
Anyway.
A
Anyways that is the one. Yeah, absolutely.
C
I don't know how you don't start him right now. He's averaging 13 points per game and some of that was with neighbors in.
B
There like 46 was the final number.
C
And you have a good quarterback now. I mean he's a good, good player.
A
Yeah yeah yeah.
C
All right. Downgrades.
A
Yes please.
C
Started with the fun, now we go the other way. Guys we're going to start with Roma Dunes which I just said that's not good. Positive things about him by this isn't one where I'm panicking on I think he's still starting with confidence and also Paulson Adibo has been out so this this assumes he comes back Giants if he does Missed practice yesterday. Yeah good corner he shadowed earlier this season Terry McLaren had was held under 5 points AJ Brown at 14 and then he was shadowing Cortland Sutton as well. He had nine points before Adibo left that game in Week 7. The Giants have allowed a ton to receivers this season so I'm not super concerned but also we did just see a dunes they put up a zero while shadow last week against yeah but.
A
That was a super low sc Scoring game, Mike.
C
Oh, yeah, you're right. Was there only 80 points?
A
Oh, wait, it was 83 points scored. Yeah, sorry. My bad.
C
That's. That's like the ultimate pain in San Diego. I know. How. How.
B
Yeah.
C
So anyway, something to watch there. Still very likely to start him unless you're stacked. But anyway, could be a tough matchup. By the way, if Adibo's out, it's just all systems go. I mean, because Cordale flots been out as well. Their other corner. So there's that one. Next one. Ameca Buka. I think he draws a Christian Gonzalez shadow. If Gonzalez plays in this game, he.
B
Was a full participant practice.
C
He was back to full Good. Okay. He shadowed Jerry Judy last week or two weeks ago. He had zero catches in that game. He was shadowing. Trading London last week, London got to a really good start in that game. He scored two short touchdowns. Neither of them were against Gonzalez. So he happened to have a big game.
B
That gives you some nerves against Carlton Davis.
C
Yes. Well, that point, Gonzalez was out of the game, so.
B
But nonetheless.
C
Gonzalez very good. But. But much like Drake London, a Book A will sneak into the slot at times. So that kind of helps his cause here. Makes you not panic a lot about this matchup. I will say this. Last week's big Drake London game was the first time this entire season that a receiver has reached 18 fantasy points against the Patriots. Wow. Yeah. So they have done a good job. And that's without Gonzalez for a lot of the season too. So they've been really good.
A
Do you know how many targets you're projecting for Mecca Abu in this one as the top guy?
C
I mean, I still have him wide receiver, nine. So probably seven or eight.
A
I was going to say like eight. With not an unrealistic expectation that he could get 10, 12, 13 in this one.
C
Like the hope is in the slot he does some damage.
B
Maybe like six or seven and a half.
C
Yes, seven. Yes.
A
He's already like, moved on.
C
I think the kids moved on from it. Now they're done with it.
B
We have no listeners or viewers left over. So for the six or seven. You there, that's it.
C
Now we're ruining it for the kids, which is good. Last one, guys, is. And no one wants to hear this. We talked about him earlier in the week yesterday. Brian Thomas Jr. Up against Houston, Derek Stingley Jr. These teams actually played in week three in that game, Brian Thomas caught two of six targets for 55 yards. In that game.
A
He was shadowed by one of his better games.
C
Yeah.
B
So mean.
C
But true. Look at 12 or fewer fantasy points in all but one game this season. So, yeah, I mean, that maybe he was one of the better games.
B
DNP yesterday is Matt Jones just like.
A
The wide receiver whisperer? Is that like, what this really is?
C
Maybe.
B
Max Beast.
C
Yeah, no doubt. Stingley shadowed him in that game and then left injured and then Lassiter took over and they shut him down. Stingley has been terrific this season. Devonte Adams, 7.2 points. Mike Evans, 10.6. Scroll and Sutton, 10. They're the three guys he shadowed full time. It's a tough matchup for Brian Thomas Jr. Yikes. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And then. And by the way, that applies to all Jacksonville receivers because Houston has just been dominant against that position all year. Only four touchdowns allowed to receivers. And guys, the last one, we have to mention this one. Drake London, I thought he was going to be shadowed by Jalen Jones, who shut down DK Metcalf last week home the one catch. But now you have Sauce Gardner out there, so I don't think they. Shadow, I think you have Sauce on one side, Jalen Jones on the other side, Kenny Moore in the slot, and that's without Trevarius Ward, who's still on ir. I mean, they're in a good spot in the secondary. So we're going to downgrade the Atlanta pass off.
B
This, I think, does not do anything to alter your argument, Mike. But there's also a chance that for a guy who's going to have three practices before he plays his first Colts game, that they just say, hey, Sauce, you cover him. That's your responsibility.
C
They very well could, rather than having.
B
To have him understand a bunch of different defensive concepts.
A
It's tricky.
C
It's like, do you just follow that guy or do you just stay at home on one side? We don't know what they're thinking. So the point is, though, it's a good secondary. We're still starting London. I have him, top five. He's been so good this year.
A
Unbelievable.
C
Even last week when I, as mentioned with Shadow put the flare up for people. Yeah, exactly right. Yep. Bust bust rates higher than usual.
B
All right.
C
And then two other ones. Super quick. Jalen Waddle probably draws Christian Benford not moving the needle on that one. Benford just hasn't been good when he shadowed this season. That includes when these teams played earlier this season. Jalen wall of 14.9 points. Tyreek Hill had 15.9. So they were both good. They played Buffalo earlier this season. And then Justin Jefferson probably going to draw Nate Wiggins he's been shadowing the last couple of weeks. Again, not. Not too worried about that. So we're still starting of course Jefferson with confidence.
A
You know how we sometimes see coaching changes just mix ups in the middle of the season. It kind of like revitalizes the team a little bit. Sometimes you get a little bit of a boost when that happens. Dolphins didn't make that move with their coaching situation, but they did let go of their gm. Do you think that you see anything different with like the Dolphins? I was going to say it doesn't feel like one of those moves that like revitalizes the team in the same kind of way. Tough task too.
B
They're playing the Bills.
A
It's going to be a big one. And be a big one. All right, let's move ahead and talk about our Thursday night football preview.
B
Raiders.
A
The Raiders taking on the Denver Broncos.
B
Sorry guys.
A
How do you feel about this one? Raiders and Broncos.
B
Let's watch a couple of things here. Mike, I know you can dive into the receivers here in a minute but a tasty matchup for Bobo Knicks not. It's not like oh my God overwhelming like you have. This is not the complaint against the Dallas Cowboys or the Bengals or the Bears but good. I think it's a good spot. Like I think they can move the football effectively this season. Bo is averaging on the nose 20 fantasy points per game this season. He's got 20 or more rushing yards in six of their first nine games. My secondary storyline to watch. It doesn't matter as much because I don't think anybody is starting him. Pete Carroll kind of indicated that Jack Besh is going to become the new Jacob Myers.
A
Really?
C
Yeah. Scooped him.
B
Mike suggested as such. Yeah. So wouldn't surprise me if we see a lot of Jack Besh starting tonight.
C
Yeah, I like that. I'm excited to see him. I know he's a guy you liked a lot.
B
I loved him coming out. I just.
A
Yeah, stupid question. Just like humor me for a minute. Like if you really like the guy this much and you want him to be the next iteration of that player, why did they not play at all while the other player was there?
C
Like why did you seriously just ask it?
A
Get out. But like doesn't that. It's just like if you love the guy so much then like why did you never let him see the fields?
B
75 year old coach trying to win games right away.
C
Yeah.
A
Okay.
C
I think there was some overlap.
A
Shouldn't have been that head coach of the Raiders then.
C
I don't know Yeah, I mean, fair.
B
NFL Live will welcome you to the set.
A
There you go.
C
Five and a half hours. Okay.
A
All right.
B
Yeah.
C
So mine is a wide receiver on the other side. Troy Franklin, who is one of the guy. Well, let's, you know, say what it is here. He's one of the hardest guys to rank every week. He's been all over the map. 24 plus fantasy points twice. But seven duds. Under 13 points in all seven, averaging 7.6 per game. So he's had. You've had the two huge games. But here's a question, guys. How many more targets does Coral and Sutton have this season than Troy Franklin? You already know this.
B
Daniel Blind resumed this earlier this week.
C
Oh, he did.
A
They're one. He has one fewer target and one fewer catch than Coral.
C
Yes. And sun's out playing him.
A
And they have the same number of touchdowns. They both have four touchdowns this year.
C
Unreal. Efficiency has not been good though. 17th in targets is Franklin to 40th in yards at wide receiver, but also top eight in end zone targets, top eight in air yards. I mean it's just all over the map with this guy. But it is a good matchup. You talked just now about like teams making changes. Obviously Dolphins changed their gm. Did that mean anything? Well, the Raiders did make some changes to their secondary last week. Caillou blue Kelly bench for rookie Darien Porter. And they also benched Darnay Holmes, their slot corner for Greedy Vance and more three safety looks so. And it didn't work. They still allowed 185 yards of Jags receivers. That was. There's the second most they've allowed so far this season. Good. No, that was. Was that last week or two weeks ago?
B
That was last.
C
They had their buy over time. I was just. Oh, last week. Okay.
B
Kim Little, 70 or 60.
C
That's right. That's right. Yeah.
A
This is the time of year where games start to bleed together. Yeah.
C
Yeah. So Anyway, Troy Franklin, 34th in my rankings. I think he's in the flex conversation because of the usage, he's saying. And a good matchup against the Raiders, who are a mess obviously in the secondary, but he's very boom bust.
A
Troy Franklin is the epitome of my. If it's a good matchup, then I'll consider throwing it.
C
I don't even know if that match. Maybe. I guess. I guess you're right. But who knows with him? He's all over the map.
A
Do you think we see more work from RJ Harvey after his touchdown barrage the last couple of games? I don't know.
C
I don't think so.
B
I mean, say whatever you want about how he is very exciting. J.K. dobbins is fifth in the NFL and rushing yards, playing super well, exceptional. And he's so good as a. As a pass protector. It's not good for our purposes in fantasy football, but it keeps him on the field. I'll say it again. I think Dobbins finds the end zone tonight, snaps the streak.
A
Ooh. I mean, Honestly, it's because RJ Harvey's been stealing all of the touchdowns that J.K. dobbins hasn't found the end zone. He has been utilized more as a pass catcher, which we know is not a thing that they want to do with J.K. dobbins.
C
They haven't utilized that. They haven't, though. Harvey's usage hasn't really changed. I mean, they're using Tyler Bidet as well in that role. It just happens to be that he has this unreal touchdown streak on low volume. It's just not going to keep it up.
B
I will keep. But just to make it clear, like Bo was in lineups tonight, obviously. Brock Bauer, Ashton Genti and J.K. dobbins. Probably a little bit lower for Genti than usual because of the matchup, but still hard to sit him when there are four teams on a buy with his elite work use elite usage. We'd love to see the passing game stay consistent there, but. Or break a big one.
A
Yep.
C
So anyway, Sutton, lineup lock. Trey Tucker flex Trey Tucker and similar.
A
Yep.
C
Starting him.
B
I will go on him.
C
How'd he do last week in his first game back?
B
Didn't see it. Missed it. Yeah, I was too busy watching soap operas. Who you guys picking in this game? I'm going Broncos.
A
I'm probably going to go Broncos.
C
20, 28, 15.
B
Wow.
C
Broncos.
B
Daniel Carlson, five field goals or probably that's it.
C
Might be. Might be.
A
All right, let's dive into the Raheem. I'm going to take the Broncos as well. I'm going to take the Broncos as well. Raheem Sanders Monopoly fund rostered in 0.1% or lower. We need to do this week. We did not hit last week.
C
A rare miss.
A
Yes, unfortunate miss.
B
Feel good this week, though.
C
I was close. Oh, man. We were texting about that Hunter Long. He dropp one.
B
I know, I know.
C
Now he's injured, too.
B
I forget my pick last week, but.
C
You had a tight. Oh, yeah. Was it Reed Atkins 2 weeks ago?
A
You had Hunter Long, I had Zay Jones. That's what it Was Colby Parkinson Jones. All right, this week, Mike, why don't you kick us off. Who is your first player for this week to put into the Sanders?
C
Who is my guy? It's a guy that's playing 53% of the offensive snaps for your Detroit Lions this season.
A
You're the son of a gun that wouldn't let me take him. Oh, Brock Wright.
C
I tried to go with Brock Wright.
A
And our producer Tyler was like, I'm very sorry, Daniel, but you are not allowed to choose Brock Wright.
C
I could have. I could have went for a backup. Yeah, he's played a lot more than you think. Only 10 targets, but he scored on two of them. And both of those touchdowns came in pretty good matchups playing Washington this year. Yes, they are a lot of points. So give me Brock wright, projected for 2.6 fantasy points this week, but roster to just 0.1%.
A
All right. Put your money, monopoly money into the monopoly fund. I'm going to go with because I couldn't take Brock Wright. The other guy that's going to get in the end end zone, Lesnar Khalif Raven, who is rostered in 0.1% elite last week. So I'm gonna go with that guy. He is honestly not super involved in the passing game. However, it's the Washington commanders turn touchdowns. There you go. That's right. Still an anytime touchdown.
C
Yeah, he's Isaac Tesla had those like nice plays in the beginning and then they promoted him to this job and then they immediately took it away from him and Raymond's back in as the three.
B
So yeah, I'm going to go with not a Detroit line, although I do like each of your picks. I'm going to go with a player who honestly, when I was watching him last week, I was like, not only is he playing, he looks good. A reminder of why he was once a second round pick.
A
Traylon Burke.
B
Greg Dulcich. Greg Dulcich, tight end for the Miami Dolphins who's available in 100% of leagues on ESPN.com Julian Hill has missed the past couple of games. He, of course, was the Darren Waller replacement. So if Hill is out again, and I apologize, I did not not check the Dolphins practice report yesterday. But if he's out again, Dolce is going to play a lot.
C
Yeah, I like it. By the way, in the spirit of this game, we were joking around last week about Scott Matlock scoring a touchdown. He scored a touchdown too, so it's too bad we didn't pick him. I'm kind of mad about that.
A
Julian Hill was limited at practice.
B
All right. A bit of the wind out of the sails. That being said.
A
That's all right.
B
Dalch still looks good. And he's got great hair.
A
He does have great hair.
B
Oh, look at that. Oh, my God.
C
God. Amazing.
B
He looks like one of the guys from oh, God. Geez. Hilarious show back in the day. Of the three guys.
A
Yes. It's called. It's called Workaholics.
C
Workaholics. Oh, yes, exactly.
A
Yes.
C
Guy from work. I watch every episode of that.
B
I couldn't pull the name and I'm like, oh, God, what a great show.
A
That's so good. Our producers are going to go with Tyler Johnson as again, 0.1% of the league. So we're going to go with Tyler John Johnson in that one. Hey, this was a fun show, guys.
B
Great time.
