Fantasy. You're in the whole 6010.

Fantasy.
A
Fantasy.
C
Focus.
A
What's good, friends? Welcome on into Fantasy Focus Football presented by Little Caesars alongside Stefania Bell and Phil Jates. My name is Daniel Dopp, here to recap everything that was Monday Night Football here in week 10.
B
Nothing. That was Monday Night Football.
A
Yeah. Hold on, guys. I actually, right before the show, I did misplace something. Do you have your, um. Cause I couldn't find the packers offense last night.
B
Wow.
A
You guys have it anywhere.
B
Deserves to say this today.
C
Wow.
B
We started and finished the week with a 107 primetime game. So congratulations to all of us on being past 10, week 10. Excuse me. Yeah.
A
Finally, we are through it. That was not what we wanted. However, we are going to have a very big and fun show today. Obviously, the Monday Night Football recap. We got waivers. We're going to talk injuries and dive into a little bit, maybe some hot takes from for the rest of the season.
C
We are indeed going to have a very fun show.
A
Yes.
C
Before we get started.
A
Thank you. Stefania Bell.
C
I would like to acknowledge that today is Veterans Day.
A
That's right.
C
And we would like to thank all of the veterans who have served this country. My father was a veteran of the Air Force, and, you know, every year when he'd be watching, we'd give him a shout out. He's no longer with us, but I believe he's still watching.
A
Absolutely.
C
But more importantly, we have a veteran at the table, one Daniel D. Dopp.
A
Yeah.
C
We would like to thank you, Daniel.
A
I appreciate you guys for your service. Thank you. This is one of those things. This is one of those days that's very. It's an interesting day every year because it's a. Like a day to reflect and think back. Holy smokes. To see this photo.
B
If you're not watching the YouTube stream.
C
It'S just a highlight for me.
B
You look.
A
I looked. I looked a little different. Yes. Little different. When I did that photo, I was 23 years old, just coming out of basic training back then. But this is one of those times. This is one of those days that every year we kind of talk about this, but it's a great time to be able to reflect back on not only the appreciation we have for all veterans in this country, all service members, but for me, the idea that I felt like I got to help serve just people. I think about it less of, like, serving our country because our country's made up of people, everybody. Right. Like, it's not a surprise that I'm a People, person. You guys know that I love people, love humans. And regardless of where you're at, what you stand for, any of the things that maybe make us different from each other in today's society, it doesn't matter. You're a human being, and I love you for that. And you deserve to be able to be happy and to find your happiness here. So regardless of who you are or what you do or what you stand for or what you look like or who you love or any of those things, man, like, being able to fight and stand up for people in this country is one of the things that I will forever be grateful for and proud of, that I was able to do in my life. So thank you very much, Stefania. And to feel for that and to every other veteran that we have had out there, Stefania, obviously there's a number.
C
Of veterans who work here at espn.
A
A bunch of people at espn.
C
We've done such a nice job honoring them. And I think on Sunday, NFL Countdown, we were busy doing another show, but they had a lovely tribute.
A
They really did.
C
Service members. So in honor of Veterans Day, thank you to everyone and absolutely.
B
Papa Yates included a former Marine who. The chances of him hearing this are literally zero. So I'm sure it means a lot to him.
C
He'll feel it through the airwave.
A
Bobby Yates and I lived on the same island, though, when I was in the military and all that stuff. So little crossover there as well. It was great to be able to have Hawaii.
B
Yeah. Very cool.
A
Yeah.
B
Beautiful words. Always. Every year it gets me. Do you want to take a minute and explain to people? I feel like every year we have some. I hope we have lots of new listeners or viewers. But Secret Squirrel is your nickname. It is espn, but it's more than a nickname. People think it's just like this funny thing. We came up with the story of Secret Squirrel.
A
Share it When I joined the military, the job that I had was I was an intelligence analyst. And so because I was an intelligence analyst working for one of our intelligence agencies here in the country, the name for the job that I had or my career field was Secret Squirrels. And so that's where the term Secret Squirrel came from. And then it just sort of permeated into Fantasy Focus with Matthew and Nate back in the day, and it has come all the way down to still being alive today.
B
Can I ask you a question? Yeah. Could you analyze the intelligence of Mike Clay?
A
It's low.
B
Okay.
A
It's low. It doesn't take long.
C
That didn't even make the radar.
A
No, no, no. He's so off the radar, I don't even need to worry about it. If you've seen that guy's projections, he doesn't know what he's talking about, man. Let's dive into if you guys don't mind. But really, seriously, one more time. Just thank you to all the veterans out there. We love and appreciate everything that you.
C
Do for U.S. league. Yes, we do that we that we participate in. Shout out to all the Veter veterans who are there playing fantasy football. I once did a fantasy focused true story broadcast from the USS Truman. My friend was the commander of the USS Truman.
A
That's amazing.
C
Actually did a dial in from red phone on the ship to the show.
B
That's so cool.
C
So like fantasy football is everywhere and I know there are a lot of service members who participate and we thank you for that.
A
Heck yeah. I gotta give a quick shout out to Mama Dot because she got me the Salute to service lion sideline gear to be able to wear for Veterans Day too. So mama love you.
B
We appreciate it. There are a lot of this is and we'll see it on Thursday night in the NFL I think goes overboard. The NBA is the most egregious where it's the mlb. It's like you turn on and it's like, what jersey is that? It's like, oh, this is the, you know, the whatever, like the retro throwback. And it's like they never wore these jerseys on Thursday. We have the nor Easter jersey for the Patriots. I think the Patriots should just go back to the throwbacks. But that's neither here nor there. The One thing the NFL, one of the things the NFL does that I am 100% on board with is all their salute to service gear. It's agreed. And obviously it raises money for a very valuable cause. So not that you don't always look excellent, but today you look especially great.
A
I appreciate that. Thank you very much. And with that being said, let's dive into the rest of the show and talk about some football. Today. Monday Night Football we had Eagles and the Packers. I have watched. Did we Compliance trainings that were more exciting than this football game.
B
It was a sick joke. Last night was a sick joke.
A
It was gross.
C
It was cruel. It was a test of our fandom.
A
To watch a game and I think just your mental fortitude. Could you sit there? I mean it was 00 at halftime and I was like, again, can I be an accountant on Tuesday so I can just go to bed and not have to watch the rest of this game.
B
So I texted Mike at some point during the game. He's of course, a very, very big Eagles fan. And I was like, this game is just disgusting. And Mike was like, no, dude. He's like, this is great defense. Like some great defense. And I was like, oh, I'm sorry. Like. And he was like, two years later, he's like, jk, this game actually sucks.
A
That was really bad.
B
Even the biggest Eagles fan, you know can be disappointed by how the game transpired last night. I guess where to begin? So I guess so. The only player that was good last night was Rick. Really good was Josh Jacobs. He had 20 fantasy points. He probably the very last portion of the game, but on the end zone, had three catches, I believe it was, or four catches for Josh Jacobs. He was solid. Devonte Smith was good too. He found the end zone. Besides that, trash all the junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk. Jacob Spears with 19.7 because he had that late, late fumble in the game. Terrible. 17 points combined. I want to go back to A.J. brown here for a second because unfortunately for A.J. brown, this has been like a theme this season. There have been games in which the Eagles have been great and he has stunk. Games in which the Eagles stink. He also stinks, it turns out, for fantasy football season. I don't know what to make of A.J. brown because we have had this conversation in recent weeks with players. I feel like Justin Jefferson has come up in this. We talked about it to a degree with Roma Dunze as well, where it's like the conversation is not how high you rank the player, it's whether you play him or you don't. And you're playing those guys every week and you just kind of ride the wave. With AJ Brown, that's the most frustrating wave to ride. 3.3 fantasy points last night, he was awesome in the first half with 3.3 fantasy points and 0 in the second half. And this has just been a season of duds for AJ Brown. He is one of the highest variance players that you absolutely must auto start. If we want to go through the game log this year, I'm sure trying to pull up. You got it.
A
I was, I was. I was working on my way to pull up.
B
You want to work on it? If you want to pull it up, you let me know what you find.
C
And this was him coming. You know, there was a missed game and then we thought, hey, bye week. He's going to be healthy. He's going to come back. This is going to be an A.J. brown like, game.
A
All right. Do you want it from the start of the season or do you want the good games first and then the bad games?
B
Let's just rip through them like start to finish.
A
Yeah. All right. Start to finish. Here we go from week one to week 10. 1.8, 7.7, 22.9, 2.7, 9.3. 14, 28.1, 3.3.
B
All right, so I'm going to be generous here.
A
Yes. And you were counting on your fingers.
B
Usable versus not usable.
A
Yes.
C
Well, careful.
B
Anyways, I would say there were three usable games there for AJ and 14 was the number that I even felt like was perhaps a Little bit disappointing. 5 of 8 games this year. AJ Brown has been bad for your lineup.
A
Yep.
B
What do you do? I mean, you have. Again, the answer is you just keep playing him. But I want to let everybody know, like on this Tuesday morning, if you want to vent some frustration, like A.J. brown has been venting some of his frustration, you are allowed to do so. I think this all leads us towards the path where. And this is not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but I think I would be. And I don't think I'm in the minority here. I'd probably be more surprised if AJ Brown is an Eagle next year versus if AJ Brown is not an Eagle.
A
I think they agreed.
B
Let's get through the trade deadline. I think it's. Let's make a push for a Super Bowl. They're 6 and 3. They're still in. They're in first place in their division.
A
Listen, I texted this to Field simultaneously as he texted it to me last night. But There was a third and 12 in which they ran a draw play to Will Shipley. When you've got Devonte Smith and A.J. brown as your pass catchers, what are you doing with this offense?
B
Conservative.
C
Yeah.
A
I don't understand it. And A.J. brown right now? No. Like, you know what you have to do with A.J. brown. I feel like what's going to happen is people are going to say next year. I had A.J. brown last year, so I'm out because he was terrible. If he's back on the Eagles this year and it's like I have to ride the roller coaster. Do I think that the weekly roller coaster of AJ Brown is worth the end of year statistical, like, grouping of everything?
B
No, it's just a tough one. And AJ Has a little bit of this nature to his game. So we'll see whether he's an Eagle beyond this season. If he got traded somewhere that was in Desperate need of a wide receiver. One our outlook would change. That being said, it was frustrating. Any other players you want to highlight from last night? They kind of all stunk, you know. Saquon got you 13.1. Ho hum. But other than Saquon, Jalen Hurts who had a mere 12.02 points, Devonte Smith and Josh Jacobs, everybody else under 10 fantasy points in that game.
C
I don't, I don't even think there's really anybody worth celebrating. I. The only noteworthy exit was Romeo Dobbs chest injury late in the game. It's questionable to return in the fourth quarter. Um, golden was out. Don Tavian Wicks was active coming off at calf and we heard his name called a couple of times, but nothing that really excited us there.
A
I think the best performance last night was probably Cade Cunningham. 46 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, 5 steals and an overtime win. Baby. Like that Pistons game was so much more exciting.
B
Oh man.
A
Than Monday night Football. All right. Hopefully we get a better Monday Monday night Football game this week. By the way, Eagles and Lions play on Sunday night, so that'll be a big matchup coming up here in Week 11.
B
Huge stakes in that one for the NFC playoff picture. It really is weeks from right now and how that could shape things.
A
Yep. All right, let's dive into the fantasy focus league scoreboard and see how things turned out in this one.
C
Painful.
A
Holy smokes. Kiss the baby. Our two producers.
B
Look at that.
A
Top left, 133.6 to 133.1. Tyler just barely beat our producer Christina. Tim Moody barely sneaking out a win over you, Stefania. Did you have a chance in that one or was it pretty close?
C
I did, I did. I had Dallas Goddard and here's the thing. Dallas Goddard. If Dallas Goddard had gotten a touchdown. Yes, maybe a touchdown, another catch or he gets a touchdown. Jake Elliott kicks an extra point. I, I, I, I was there. I was close. And it would still have not been enough. Dallas Goddard points to have Eric Moody beat me in the fantasy football now league. So Moody and I split the difference. We played each other in two leagues. Congratulations to him, his team. I was looking at this. I don't think my team's that bad on paper. I am puzzled by my awful standings in this league because look at it, my team is, look, there are problems there, there are weak spots. But find me a team who does.
A
Gonna say we all. I had seven players that bad.
C
I look at him like, how am I? But I think I look at the producers and I go, they're they have these teams with deep, deep benches much better than mine. I think. My. I just. I don't think I had good diversity on my squad.
A
You know what I don't need is trophy smack sitting at 1 overall in our standings.
B
And I'm partially to blame after pulling the upset over the prior number one team.
A
Oh, Jamal, is that what happened?
B
Zach Kunst, our producer, he is unfortunately now number two.
C
Are we all in the bottom half?
A
We are, except for, obviously, our buddy Eric Moody is third overall. Hanging out in chat, holding down for the talent here on the show. By the way, ask Eric the question.
C
Ask Eric all the questions because Eric.
B
Is in third place for our audio listeners only. Eric Moody is in third place at 12 and 8. Mike is in sixth place at 11 and 9. I'm at seventh place at seventh place at 9 and 11. Daniel is in eighth place at 8 and 12. And Stefania is bringing up the rear.
C
The caboose as it works.
B
I was going to say Stefania is. Is ready to upset some people.
A
That's right.
C
Did you look at my squad? It's really. It's not terrible.
B
It's not. You know, I think running back depth has been tested.
C
Yes.
B
That's the biggest thing.
C
Find me a league where that's not the case.
B
Yeah. And Jaden B, obviously.
C
Yeah. Yes, as well.
A
That's not great.
C
Yeah. I just wanted to hear some, you know, excuses for why my team is.
A
Oh, that's fair, you know. Well, let's dive into.
C
Let's move along.
A
Yeah.
C
Well, let's find out who I could pick up to maybe turn things around.
A
That's the way to do it. Stefania Bell.
B

A
All right, week 11 waivers. We got two teams on a buy, the Colts and the Saints. For the Saints, it's really just Chris Olave. I mean, I guess Alvin Kamara. Honestly, it feels like it's just Chris Olave.
B
It's like Joanne Johnson.
A
Oh, yeah, you're right. Joann Johnson. Yeah, you're right. We'll talk about him. We'll talk about him a little bit later on in this point. Yeah, yeah.
C
Oh, what am I going to do without Jonathan Taylor? I'm going to lose every league.
B
I'm telling you. I think you start him out of respect.
A
I agree.
B
You know, like deference to the king of fantasy football right now.
A
Why not?
B
There you go. Yeah.
A
Well, with the Colts on, by that means you might have Danny Dimes as your starting quarterback. Or maybe you need a Jaden Daniels replacement still, because you were streaming this last week. Also, Jackson Dart still needs to be cleared from the concussion. Correct.
C
Decent chance that doesn't happen this week.
B
Just based on experience and head coaches got fired yesterday. Right.
C
There's a lot going on there. Yeah.
B
I mean, who knows how much he'll play the rest of the game.
C
Right.
B
You know, they're going to be ultra conservative now that the coach. Not only they'll play him when he's healthy, obviously.
C
Right.
B
Like, the big question that I have and we'll dive into more Jackson Dart thoughts at a different time is are they going to play him as a runner like nine times a game going forward?
C
I mean, contextually, I wrote about this, like, it has to be a different version of Jackson.
B
And he's a very capable thrower, so there's still fantasy upside if he doesn't run as much. Just not as much. I will be very curious, Daniel, because I was looking at the waiver wire today for my various leagues that I play in and this is natural.
A
Right.
B
It's week 11. Yes. Pickings are slim.
A
Slim.
B
Hit me with your.
A
Slim is the right word for this one. I've got two and a half.
B
Okay. Good.
A
You know, so. So we'll go with that. But at the quarterback spot. Stefania, there is one quarterback in the NFL over the last month that has finished topped 12 in four straight games. Do you know who that might be? One quarterback in the NFL, one.
B
Josh Allen.
A
That's a great guess. Field. It is not Josh Allen.
B
Patrick Mahomes.
A
It is not Patrick Mahomes. It is not Drake Me.
C
Is it Joe Flacco?
A
That's a great guess as well because.
C
He actually, I was looking at his stats, he's been like top five.
B
He did have one dud somewhere in there.
A
Yeah, he had an 18 point game. Actually he hasn't had a dud. Dud technically, but he has. He has not been top 12.
C
Okay.
A
Jacoby Brissette.
B
Oh yeah, of course.
A
The only quarterback over the last month to be top 12 in every single game. 19 or more fantasy points in all four of those games. He has at least three more weeks as the starting quarterback. As we all know, with Kyler Murray being on IR and then. Honestly, I kind of feel like he's probably going to. I'm trying to be cautious.
C
Kobe Brissette could be stay. And by the way, not going to lie, I benefited from his performance in a couple of leagues.
A
Good for you. Well, unfortunately your defense probably won't benefit this week because he plays the 49ers. 49ers allowing the 10th most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position, including. Sorry. Since week five. 49ers quarterbacks against the 49ers are averaging 22.2 fantasy points per game. And only one quarterback since week five has not reached 19 and a half fantasy points against this defense. So Jacoby Brissette, if you need an option this week against the 49ers, feels like my priority quarterback option.
C
Yeah, I know. Poor guys. There's no.
A
Sorry. I know. I'm sorry, Stefania, but that's. It's a great matchup and the guy's been playing well. This last game felt really good. Weird because they were down by 35 points in the middle of the second quarter. So it's like you could kind of throw out a lot of that game, but still you had to throw a ball a lot. The other guy that I would be looking at in case you couldn't get Jacoby Brissette. Joe Flacco did come off a bye week, but like I had said, Joe Flacco had been really good up until that point. His lowest scoring game was 18 fantasy points. At least 32. Excuse me. At least three touchdowns in all three games this year. But Stefania, I want to throw at.
B
You Joe Burrow and news of the day right here.
A
Yeah, we got a big, big news dump about Joe Burrow yesterday. Did the 21 day practice window open up?
C
It did. And for those who are watching fantasy football now, we actually talked about this as being a scenario. If you looked at the seasonal calendar and you looked at the timeline of Joe Burrow's injury, you had to be thinking the practice window, if they were going to bring him back, would probably be opening soon. And in fact it opened yesterday. 3 month injury to recover from, typically turf toe surgery and repair, rehab, etc. But the thing is, if Joe Burrow has been doing well, which obviously he has been, or they wouldn't open the practice window, we're about two months in right now. So you got about another three to four weeks before you would even consider letting him come back. Well, you're not going to go from just rehab to quarterbacking for a full four quarters. You have to integrate football activity because you have to see how his foot responds. So I look at the 21 day practice window as they will use the majority of the 21.
A
Okay, so I would love to ask you guys this question because I was looking at that. Yesterday was November 10th. 21 days takes us to December 1st. Week 13 is November 27th. That's a Thanksgiving Day game. 8, 20pm against the Baltimore Ravens.
C
You know, who wants to play in the Thanksgiving. I mean, listen, what a, what a great game to be your, your comeback party, if you will. It's definitely pushing the envelope. I think a lot is going to depend on what we see him do and how his foot responds to all the tests that he's going to put it through the next couple of weeks. But if not, they have the latitude because of the timing it that he would have. Right. He would have another 10 days to be ready. And that's a game against Buffalo.
B
Correct.
C
So keep your eye on it. It's possible. Listen, he has impressed before every time he's had a major injury. And we have a decent sample size with Joe Burrow. But when he came back from that multi ligament knee injury, I was really concerned for him about how he'd respond because he got his injury was an ugly knee dislocation that happened when the pocket collapsed. He got torn up.
B
Yeah.
C
And he really showed no fear and actually integrated back into football very, very well. And what impressed me, I went to training camp that year was he was the one who put the onus on the coaches to challenge him in training camp and preseason with things that would pressure him and anything to get over the fear so that when he hit the field, he wouldn't feel it. That's the way Joe Burrow thinks. It's the way he rehabs. I'm not at all surprised by him wanting to push this. It's going to be him against the people who are going to be responsible if the decision gets hurt. And I do think one other thing. He has to. Yeah. Take it in the context of where the Bengals are for sure. Because if they go out and lay an egg for the next couple of weeks, which you don't necessarily think they will, Joe Flacco has been pretty good, but it's not. It's not easy by any stretch. But if they're six. Right.
B
But three and eight.
C
But there if. Right. If they're three and eight, maybe a different conversation. But also, I will say this. It's really hard when a player is motivated to come back, does all the things to get back to say, no, we're going to shelve you for another full year and you don't get to test it and get that confidence back that you really were. Okay.
A
So let me ask you this question. I'm going to put you on the spot. Oh, I'm sorry to do this right ahead, but as the injury analyst of the show, let's say that you had a squad right now with an open IR spot and Joe Burrow, who's available in 40% of leagues, was out there on the waiver wire. Would you be adding him with the intention of. Like I would feel comfortable potentially weeks 14, 15, 16, given what this injury is and you know all about it, feeling like I could start Joe Burrow potentially in my fantasy playoffs.
C
I already did that in one league, so, yeah, I. Because I don't think this is the kind of thing. Look, Chris Godwin was coming back from an ankle dislocation and for what he needs to do and a fracture, bad injury. I was worried about how would he perform. It's kind of like how Tony Pollard looked after that injury. They take a while. This a lot of what Burrow could do, and he talked about it yesterday speaking to reporters. The conditioning, the running, all of those things feel pretty good about the toe and the repair. The important thing is can you escape contact and don't take the unnecessary things where somebody can be falling on your foot, somebody can be pushing you to the ground. And that really is the issue for him.
A
Okay.
B
Yeah. So the upcoming schedule. Just a reminder Steelers Patriots prior to that Ravens game. So just keep that in the if they are three and eight I'd imagine there's at least a conversation about our season is kind of over. Do we bring you back? Wait, but this is a very determined young man.
A
Didn't the Bengals just play the Steelers? Didn't they just do this whereas the two 40 year old quarterbacks and now they're doing it again this week.
B
That's right.
C
Yeah.
B
This is the second happens the Eagles Giants thing.
C
This is the Bengals close back to back. But I would say this we have some hot takes coming up later.
A
Yes we do. Oh we'll talk about that.
C
This might be revisited.
B
All right, good.
A
Joe Burrow is out there on your waiver wire. Stefania Bell and the rest of us saying go out there, throw in a waiver claim for him to be on your IR spot. However Joe Flacco taking on the Steelers this week. If you can't get Jacoby Brissette and you need a streamer for one of those other guys. I still like Joe Flacco who has scored at least 24 fantasy points in straight games. Yeah, he's been great. I got one more guy here and it's going to be Parker Washington. Ayo I think this is important because we might not realize what Parker Washington has done over the last couple weeks but back to back weeks was 17 fantasy points. Most importantly, he's seen a lot of volume over that time. Washington has a 28.6% target share since Travis Hunter went down in this offense. I realized there was no Brian Thomas as well as a part of this but still they are looking might not be this week. It may be a situation and last week who did they play?
B
They played the Texans.
A
He just put up the third best game a wide receiver has had against the Houston Texans this season. 17.9 fantasy points. It's a tough matchup against the Chargers this week. However, if he does something really nice this week against the Chargers after doing that against the Texans and having three nice games in a row, I think we have ourselves somebody that we need to talk about even more. But I would be adding Parker Washington if you need a wide receiver right now because he is getting use in this Jaguars office.
C
How concerned are we about Jacoby Myers.
A
Taking about taking some of that role? I think it'll be the slot guy.
B
He'll be the slot guy. I think Parker Washington will be Jacoby Myers. I think will. I think the idea is and we'll see when Travis Hunter returns, if he returns as regular season. I think the idea for now is Brian Thomas Jr. Plus Parker Washington plus Jacoby Myers as your three wide receivers of note. I did. Did you track this yesterday? We did see Brenton Strange is I guess he didn't return to practice but will be returning to practice this week. So on the Jaguars front, Parker Washington, just a good ballplayer. Great player at Penn State.
A
He is a great player at Penn State. All right.
B
His sister, by the way, is a scout for the Bears. Good football family. No way. Yeah. Very cool story. I love that story over in Chicago.
A
That's exciting.
B
Well regarded in the scouting community. So keep an eye on that.
A
Love that.
B
Yeah.
A
All right. I'm going to dive into some deeper league ads now. Those are my priority ads. Two quarterbacks with the three quarterbacks they would mention being out and then one wide receiver just with the volume that Parker was scene. I'm going to talk about some running backs, but first and foremost, Stefania, I want to ask you about a running back injury. J.K. dobbins, was it a hip tackle thing that happened?
C
Well, drop if. Yes, if. If the. The thing about these is we have to wait. They're rarely called hard, almost never called. And it's in. It's a post game analysis. It gets flagged whenever we can call.
A
It after the game is over.
C
We want to do that. But yeah, the players and people watching have been outspoken about when they think they view these things. So I'll just, I'll leave it at that for now. But bottom line is that J.K. dobbins had a foot injury middle of the third quarter. Left for a while. Actually came back in in the fourth quarter and played for a bit. But remains to be seen what his status will be for this week.
B
My antenna is officially up. I'm nervous. He had a tweet about it. I don't think when you're taking to Twitter it means good things.
A
Usually not. So then let me ask you guys. I mean we got RJ Harvey and then a bunch of question mark, right. So is Tyler Bidet worth adding in?
B
Laughlin Bidet has been basically their past game specialist so far. He has been. When they go up tempo, I think this means they're going to need more out of R.J. harvey.
A
I was going to say, do you know what Bidet's stats are this year? Because what I wrote down is basically no stats.
B
Yeah, basically none. He basically comes in on third down or two minute. Got to have a situation.
A
I don't think he's had more than three touches in a game so far this year. So it just feels like my question is how much RJ Harvey are they going to like see in this office? Are we going to see in this offense if there is no J.K. dobbins? So Tyler Bide bidet. Excuse me? Just in case in a deeper league if you want to throw a dart because you need a running back spot, I'm going to keep throwing out these other names. Tyler Algiers, same thing. Trey Benson still available on waivers.
B
Yeah. Do you have Sean Tucker on your list?
A
I do not.
B
So Sean Tucker is probably not rostered in 50% of leagues.
A
Definitely not.
B
But with Bucky Irving out, he's playing like they're kind of alternating drives right here I'm giving like this is deeply targets people. So just a name that I saw in the projections that are is reasonably high this week. They played the Bills who of course just allowed the Dolphins to do what many other teams have done to them this season. Run all over their defense.
C
Yeah. You mentioned Trey Benson too. He's coming off that post scope for meniscus injury but still not practicing last week. So it's not really clear how close he is yet.
A
What about so Bam Knight got banged up. The other Arizona Cardinals running back as well. Do you have any info on him?
C
Just ankle injury in the fourth quarter and that's all we know until reconvene.
A
I guess Amari D. Mercado could have some value if there is no it was Sam Knight.
B
Yeah.
C
Functional in a deep league this past week. Yeah.
B
And D. Markado, those that you know follow closely like whenever he's got an opportunity. These he has largely been an explosive runner. He of course had the play earlier. That being said D. Markado, the next man up, him and Michael Carter are probably going to be busy if there is no Bam night.
A
Agreed.
B
That Benson one's tricky, huh?
A
I know it's really tough. I wish we just had a little bit more info but what can you.
C
Want to see if he comes back? You know it's hard to go from zero practice to like okay they're back and playing in the following game. Right. Especially coming off surgery.
B
Right, right, right.
A
Couple of wide receivers. Let's talk about them before I dive into two wide receivers. Stefania, I want to ask we got news on Chris Wilson, on Garrett Wilson yesterday. Yes.
C
Yeah. Now Rich Samini who covers the team for us reporting that he's expected to be out three to four weeks. We talked yesterday about how he left. He had just come Back from a hyperextension injury in that knee. He took a slide, didn't seem to be a big deal, got up, but then was limping afterward. Gets imaging done. There has not been any discussion of what the nature of the injury is, whether it's an aggravation or whether it's something different. But nonetheless, they're talking at three to four weeks. And who knows when you have a second injury on the same knee that already cost you to miss time. I think you're more conservative coming back.
A
And your team's record is 2.
B
2 and 7.
A
7.
B
Yeah, 2 and 7. But obviously, Thursday Night Football he will not play. And then we'll continue to evaluate it over the next three to four weeks.
C
So just you're pretty much knocking out.
A
November field in the blank here. There.
B
There are jets receiver.
A
Are you gonna suggest there are blank Number of usable fantasy pieces on the New York jets for the next three to four weeks. And it's Breeze Hall.
B
Yeah. Mason Taylor might creep on there. I don't know. But no, not really.
A
Yeah, not really. All right. What about Chris Godwin Stefani? Do we have any updates by any chance on him? I know we've been waiting to see if there is any news.
C
No. And I, I just keep hearing the same thing out of Tampa, which is that they expect Chris Godwin to return at some point this season. Same thing with Bucky Irving. But Chris Godwin not practicing. And again, we're talking about somebody who had an injury to the same bone that was fractured that caused you to miss all this time. I, I have a. I have a hard time envisioning that. Even if he comes back and look, this is separate, I wish him all the health, success in the world, but that's number one. Why you don't want to bring him back any quicker than you have to, especially after this latest thing. But what's the utilization going to be and how is he going to perform on the field when he first comes back? Is it really something. Let's say. Let's say it's in another couple of weeks. Like you're either making a push for your fantasy playoffs or he comes back around the fantasy playoffs. Are you really going to trust Chris Godwin on your roster at that point?
A
That would be a tough one for me.
B
I'm thinking about dropping them in a league that I'm like, geez, like, what am I like? Am I going to get anything? The timetable is no timetable. You said like when Todd Bowles asked about it during his customary Monday presser. No, Timetable. So I could be way off here. Way off. Generally speaking, no, timetable does not mean like it could be this week, probably next week. It feels to me more like post Thanksgiving, maybe things could work out.
A
Feels like if it was maybe this week or next week, they would have a timetable. Doesn't it feel like that?
C
You know what I mean? I have no doubt that there are discussions happening elsewhere that we are not privy to. But as far as what Todd Bowles is going to give us, it's no timetable. And same thing with Bucky Irving. But. But then the people who are close to the club keep saying, but we're told they are coming back. But we were also told that Chris Godwin would be, you know, playing and be fully functional within a few weeks after the start of the season that kept getting pushed back. So they got to do the right thing by these players.
A
I finally understand how Aaron Burr felt because I just want to be in the room where it happens.
C
Aaron Burr, sir.
A
Yes, that's right. Aaron Burr, sir. I do.
B
Hamilton is playing at the Bushnell.
A
At Bushnell here in Hartford. That's right, baby.
C
When?
B
Now?
A
Yeah, right now. Yeah, they're here. They're doing.
B
See ya.
C
I've seen it twice and I would go run to see it again.
A
Well, until we know more about Chris Godwin. If you need a deeper league dart throw, Tez Johnson continues to do a little bit of something here in this.
C
Bucks off in the end zone.
A
That's right. Four for 42 and two touchdowns for 20.2 fans. Fantasy points this last week, only five targets. There's a reason why he's a dart throw. He's not someone. He's not like the other side of a Mecca Abuka. He's not as consistent as that. So he is a deeper league dart throw because of that. A guy that I feel like he's.
C
A swing for the fences guy. Like if you need it, like I. I've been pleasantly surprised. Let's just put it this way. He's a guy who has put up enough points that could have made a difference when he started.
B
So a lot of a Mecca Buka. A lot of king going forward. Those are my big takeaways.
A
Feels like it's.
C

A
I got one more wide receiver. They are on a buy here in week 11. However, Alec Pierce back to back games with over 17 and a half fantasy points only rostered in 36 and a half percent of leagues, he has over 20 targets in the last two games. He has been utilized quite a bit within this Colts offense. I don't think that A.D. mitchell moving on necessarily like gave him more opportunities. It just sort of feels like they've been trying to slowly matriculate a Alec Pierce option in this wide.
B
Receiving the play of alec Pierce made A.D. mitchell more expendable.
A
I think so. Yeah, I think so.
B
It's like, you know, you can't get rid of this guy.
C
Yeah, it's interesting because last year I was really high in A.D. mitchell and Alec Pierce had a lot of injury concerns and it feels like after the off season Alec Pierce got healthy, elevated his role in the offense, and A.D. mitchell just kind of quietly subsided along to his next stop.
A
I'll talk about really quickly a couple of tight ends. First and foremost though, Stefania Oranda Gadsden.
C
Yeah, it looked bad when it happened because we talked about the collision like the knee knocking and how that often can be a bone bruise. It's reported to be now a quad bruise. So soft tissue injury versus a bony injury. That matters to me that good or bad? I think it's good because I think this can resolve more quickly and there's things you can do treatment wise to help move things along. But remember bruising? If you guys have ever just want to give, just just let people know that when you're talking about a soft tissue bruise and these NFL players, it's not like oh, I bump my arm and I get a little bruise like they're bruises. JJ Watt posted one one time and it was like his entire thigh like a bruise is bleeding and it can look really bad. So we don't want to minimize what a quad bruise is. But I do think there's a good chance that, you know, he can. He can recover from this fairly quickly. Will it be this week? Not sure. And why does that matter? Because if your quad is swollen or has. Has blood in it, you're not able to contract it the way you should. That can make it harder to stop, decelerate. That can put you at greater risk for a different kind of knee injury, which we don't want. So it may. I. I'm saying I. No guarantee that he's back this week. Like, oh, no big deal. It's a bruise.
A
Sure.
C
We'll see.
B
Yep.
A
Yeah. I didn't go to Princeton, so forgive me for this ignorant question, but bruising is just copious amounts of blood underneath your skin.
C
Yeah. And it turns all those pretty colors.
B
What did you think that red and purple.
A
I didn't know what it was.
B
You thought it was like grapes that are just emanating throughout your body.
A
I. I wasn't sure what substance was in my body that all of a sudden made my leg turn purple. How dare say.
C
We don't have to say that. You know, it. Stuff with blood.
A
Yeah. The other things. Yes. All right, really quickly at the tight end position. Theo Johnson has been quite nice over the last couple of games. Just had his best receiving game of the season. Eight targets, seven catches for 75 yards and 14 and a half fantasy points season high in targets, catches and yards. However, six of those seven catches and 71 of those 75 yards were with Jackson dart in the first half. Once Russell Wilson came In, he got one pass for 4 yards in the fourth quarter and wasn't utilized basically at all in the second half.
B
Yeah, but I thought Jackson dart was relatively like. That was like the beginning of the fourth quarter, wasn't it? When he got knocked out. Maybe I'm wrong. All of.
A
I'm not talking about Jackson dart. I'm talking about all of Theo Johnson's production came in the first half only with Jackson Darth.
B
Yeah. So Russ, I mean the offense, if they have no Jackson dart this weekend is going to be a dramatic.
A
It will be very different. Very different. I would not like score them this weekend. That's. We'll find out about that one points anymore.
B
They don't. They're 10 points per game over the past two weeks.
A
Doesn't feel great.
C
Nope.
A
The other wide. Excuse me, other tight end that I would potentially look at and you mentioned it at the start of the show, Juwan Johnson, 10 or more fantasy points in four straight games. He's on a buy here in week 11. So he's not usable here for this week. However, given the tight end position, if you need someone for week 12 on, you want to get ahead of that tight end rush for week 12, grab Joanne Johnson now and you'll be able to have him for next week.
B
All righty.
A
That's it for the waiver wire. Anybody else that I didn't mention? Fields. You brought up Sean Tucker.
B
That was a lot of names.
A
Yeah, that was okay. Fields. Yeah, I feel like that's a lot of names that. Because it already given the pickets. Yeah, it's tough. You want to give a lot of people options. However. Doesn't feel good. Doesn't feel good.
B
It's been kind of a pedestrian year on the waiver wire. So things can change. There's still half the season or so left, but not a great week for league altering pickups.
A
Well, with half the season or so left, we decided. You know what? Why not decide we're going to bring some hot takes to the table for the second half of the season. Some hot takes down the stretch. You want me to do it? You want to do it?
B
Yeah, why not? You want to start? And by the. So the only thing that I want to say.
C
What are the rules for the hot takes? Because I didn't. There were no rules.
B
Mine are rules. So I think you can. Maybe we can grade how hot the take is.
C
Okay.
B
If this is like you're the expert on spice. Is this like Frank's Red Hot, which is like, you know, just a comfortable. Yeah, like a two or three little tinge of spice. Or is this like, you know, ghost pepper, which is about as hot as it gets. No good for scale.
A
Yes. All right. My first one, my hot take down the stretch. Christian McCaffrey is currently running back two. He's second in scrimmage yards, second in the NFL with 69 receptions. Not just among running backs. Second in the NFL with 69 receptions, 692 receiving yards. That leads all running backs. He'd be wide receiver 6 if he was a wide receiver, love. But he's got a buy in week 14 and right now, if that's a regular season buy for you, don't worry about it. But if that's a playoff buy, I am actively trying to trade Christian McCaffrey right now in my fantasy football league, even though he is the number two player right now in fantasy football and dominating through the air. He's been a little less efficient on the ground, but it hasn't made a difference for his fantasy output. But right now, if your squad has a Week 14 playoff matchup. And not every league has this right. Some weeks 14 might be the last week of the regular season. If that's the case, keep cmc. Don't even worry about it.
B
That's our default setting on ESPN.
A
But if you have a playoff matchup in Week 14, I am making offers to Jonathan Taylor managers first. I don't expect anything to happen there. No one's going to give up Jonathan Taylor. I will, however, put in a substantial offer for DeVonna championship second. CMC has the 27th hardest schedule going forward from here on out. DeVont Achan has the fourth easiest schedule from here on out. Achan also, if he was a wide receiver, would be wide receiver 14 with how many receptions he has this year. So not quite as dominant as cmc. However, I am very much in on the idea of trying to move this piece that I might not have in a playoff matchup for either Devon Achan or Jameer Gibbs or Bijon Robinson and doing whatever I can to try to see what I can do to get one of these. Other topics, Top four main running backs. I'm not just selling. It is only those four guys that I would move CMC for. But if I have a playoff matchup in week 14, I'm actively trying to move CMC for someone not quite as good for him so that I don't have to miss that week 14 game.
B
Okay. I would say that's.
A
By the way, with Jameer Gibbs having Dan Campbell calling the plays, we may see a different running back down.
C
I'm a little confused by your take. Help me out here. Help me see this.
A
Okay.
C
Like confusion because what. Okay, I get it. I won't have him for week 14. So I'm trying to be smart.
A
Playoffs are a one week setup. So like if you don't. Christian McCaffrey's averaging 25 points a game.
C
Yeah.
B
Thousand. Yes.
A
It feels like it. Like he'll drop 32 any game. Right. So like now, all of a sudden, week 14, first playoff matchup and I've got to go without the one guy that basically carried me. I mean, unless you also had Brock Bowers or another, you know, monster squad.
B
What would be the hard part is that if he's the one guy that's been carrying you and you trade him away, your team might be vulnerable to not make playoffs. Right.
A
If this is a yes, you need to be a playoff team to make this trade.
C
Yes, that's there.
A
You're not a playoff team with cmc, then you should be making A trade anyways. Because you need to be able to get yourself into playoff consideration.
C
That's why I was trying to decide if this benefits the person who's trying to get in the playoffs or the person who already knows they made it. You're making the case for the person who already knows, like, I'm going to make the playoffs.
B
Yes.
C
My team's good enough. And then.
A
I'm sorry, do you have teams not making the playoffs?
C
This all of my teams. I mean, I'm asking for a friend.
A
Okay, okay, okay.
C
But if that were the case case, then if I've been that good, then I expect to go beyond week 14. And now what have I done to myself?
A
Even without your best running back that carried you there to you.
C
Yeah. Because I'm that good.
A
Oh, that's what you. Maybe I'm just not fire if.
C
Are you not that good, Daniel?
A
Maybe that's the question. It's a little bit of a thread in the needle of an argument.
B
This is like, you know, like right here, you know.
A
Okay. All right.
B
I don't play anything leagues for the playoffs begin in week 14. So I, it's, it's. I haven't processed that side of it.
A
I have two leagues where I do. We have like a double week 14, 15, 16, 17. So like I have a couple leagues where it's like that ESPN default is not.
C
Which is why if it's 14, 15, then you're adding the two weeks. So you have McCaffrey week 15.
A
I. Yes, that is, that is accurate. I would rather have two full running back weeks rather than a running back week of CMC and a backup fill in. However, that's just where I'm at. I'm asking people.
C
We're having conversations.
B
Yes.
A
All right. What's your hot take Field Yates?
B
There is a receiver who admittedly has only played five full games this year. Yep. But he has not finished inside the top 10 any week that he has played so far this season.
A
Five games.
B
Yep. And I'm going to say that Ceedee Lamb will be the number one wide receiver in all of KFC football for the rest of the year.
C
Field Yates for the rest of the year. Like starting week 11.
B
Yeah. So they're off their bye obviously.
A
So he won't be wide receiver one in total points, but from week 11 on, he'll be 11 on, he'll be.
B
The number one scoring receiver.
A
Love that. Love that.
B
I think this is one of those that like so much of the analysis of CD has been about the fact like so much of the feeling about his season is he missed, what, four games? He missed basically four games. One, he got hurt before he even had a catch, and then the other is because of that high ankle sprain. But he also has just one touchdown in the five games that he has played. But check out the targets in those games. 13, 11, 8, 10, and 12.
A
That's good.
B
It just feels like the CD breakout is coming and he's. He'll remind us just why he is, you know, amongst the very best players in the NFL. The Cowboys, of course, even with all the trades they made, I don't believe are good enough to slow down opposing offenses. Cowboys play Monday Night Football, by the way. By the way, once again, this week, the Cowboys go Monday Night Football by Monday Night Football again, and then they play Thursday Night Football Thanksgiving or Thursday afternoon, and then Thursday Night Football the following week. So get used to a lot of.
C
Cowboys, a lot of prime time, for sure.
B
But I'm going CD Lamb, wide receiver 1 overall the rest of the season, which would mean he'd have to jump ahead of the likes of Jamar Chase Smith and Jigba. Jamar Chase, Puka, Nukua. Those guys have been probably the three best of the best this year.
A
He's got a great matchup here in Week 11 against the Raiders to kind of kick off that wide receiver one.
B
Run, you know, Pretty spicy. I like it. Yeah.
C
But I don't. I don't think it's that hot of a day. Like, it's not unreasonable. I'm not sitting there going, that's possible.
B
It'd be hard to get. It's going to be hard for anybody to be. I mean, it's by definition hard for anybody to be wide receiver one for the rest of the year, because only one player can be wide receiver.
C
If you had to name, like, the five guys, like, we just like. He's definitely in the conversation, so it's not outrageous.
B
He feels a little further off the radar as being the best wide receiver in fantasy than the other guys that we're talking about. So I said, let's spice it up here with CD Lamb.
A
Also, I do feel like Dak hasn't necessarily. I mean, I would love to see more CD but, like, Dak hasn't, like, lit the world on fire as a passer for a stretch there.
B
Let's get their schedule up because we talked about the Raiders the next week. You like that one? I know they play the Chiefs on Thanksgiving.
A
We got Philly after the Raiders and the Chiefs.
C
It's all divisional matchups in the last few weeks.
A
And then it's at Detroit, Minnesota.
B
That one, you're probably fine with that one.
A
The chargers in week 16 and then the commanders in week 17.
B
And the thing is that, like, it's hard to say that you can't get fired up about. Like it's CD Lamb, like, who, no matter who he plays, you have fired up about. But how about that? The Cowboys, by the way, as I mentioned Monday Night Football this week.
C
I was thinking that they were having divisional.
A
More divisional games.
B
That's a lot of them.
A
Washington and giants. I mean 17 and 18. I mentioned 18. Yeah. Because we don't play.
B
It's just hilarious how they play. Look at these games, guys. Look at this. Hold on. Next game. Monday Night Football. Then they play the Eagles 425. That's the afternoon showcase.
A
Okay.
B
Then they play the Chiefs on Thanksgiving. They play the Lions on Thursday Night Football.
A
Another prime team.
B
They play the Vikings on Sunday Night Football. Then they actually play back to back. They play a game at 1pm against the Chargers on the 21st. Then they play the Commanders on Christmas night. On Christmas Day.
C
It could also be flexed in that other one because, you know, we're into the flex game.
A
Man.
B
I think you have to.
C
Or you have to already be.
B
I think. I don't know if there is a flex available on Christmas Day, but maybe some of the other games.
C
Oh, yeah.
B
And sometimes the other thing about the Cowboys is they don't get flexed. Cowboys stay right where they are.
A
That's the thing. Like, it's so confusing because if Jerry Jones knew they were going to have so many primetime games, I wonder why he didn't like have a better squad. Yeah. Or like anybody like ready to play in those games?
B
That's a great question.
C
Really interesting.
A
That's an interesting.
C
My first hot take. And maybe a recency bias all the way. Fully admitted by Travion Henderson is a top 10 running back the rest of the season.
B
Wow, that is so hot.
A
I just got burned.
B
It's actually. It's so hot. But it would be so gratifying to that race. Oh, I want to wish this.
A
You want this. I want it so bad. Yes.
C
You want it to happen. That's why I picked it up.
B
It would cure me.
C
But think about it. Ramond Ray Stevenson. Still not practicing. Trayvon.
B
Not just people get mad. They had a. A walk through estimation yesterday. And Ramandre did return.
C
Yes.
A
In the walkthrough estimation.
C
In the walkthrough estimation. But it's A Thursday night game. And the thought was even if he does come back, are you really going to try and put the toothpaste back in the tube after what you just saw from Trayvon? So, and you're coming off a toe injury and you do a couple walkthroughs, are you really going to have a full load of work? So I still like Trayvon in this game and if he, if he is what we think he is, top 10.
B
Running back rest of the season, I.
A
Will do whatever mantra I'll do. Chance I'll do like tell me what I have to do to make that happen.
C
I know I did it from a wishful thinking place. America, you're welcome. But we all would like to see that take happen.
B
Thank you. And I will literally, I will buy you 15 tickets to Hamilton if that happens.
A
Oh my gosh, 15.
C
Well, they'll be gone.
B
I'll make it happen sooner than that.
A
That's right.
B
If he goes top 10 the next two weeks, Hamilton tickets on.
A
Oh, that sounds so good. All right. Mine is also going to be wide receiver. Very similar to field minister Yates. But first off, there is one wide receiver with at least 10 fantasy points in every game this year. Do you know who that person is?
C
One wide receiver with one wide receiver.
A
With at least 10.
C
It's only one.
A
Only one guy has double digit fantasy points at the wide receiver.
C
Jackson Smith and J wrappers.
A
It is Jackson Smith and Jigba. Now while I was researching this, I found out something else.
C
Different question. Right?
A
Here's a separate trivia question while I was looking at that that I also looked. There is one player, quarterback, wide receiver, running back, tight end that has scored at least 13 fantasy points in every game. I found this out while I was doing the JSN research. Quarterback, receiver, just person in fantasy football scored at least 13 fantasy points in every game this year.
B
Only one.
A
It's a great guess.
B
I think he had 12.8 one week.
C
I want to say there's, I want to say that there's one quarterback out there who's done it, but I don't know who it is.
A
It is Jackson Smith and Jiggle. See the way that I let you guys. That's how you do a trivia question. Yeah.
B
Well done.
C
That's very rude.
A
He is the only player in the NFL with at least 13 fantasy points in every single game this year. He has a 39.3% target share. And my hot take is he's going to finish this season with 17 consecutive games with 13 or more. Fantasy points and will break the all time single season receiving record, beating my guy Calvin Johnson for more than 1964 receiving yards. JSN becomes the leading single season receiver this year. Okay, that's my hot take.
B
Would that bother you as a Lions fan because he has an extra game to do it?
A
No, it wouldn't bother me because I always knew in the bottom of my heart he had an extra game to do it.
B
I like.
A
But I'm not going to take it away from him because the game changes. It's not his fault that the game is playing an extra game. Like he just shouldn't get punished for that.
C
Yeah, I'm, I'm still stuck on it now. Does it count if they're so far ahead in the NF for they happen to pull ahead in the NFC West?
A
If he gets pulled, then that's a part of the game. That's part of fantasy. I think he's going to hit 13 fantasy points every single game this year. So he will. Every game he plays in, every game that he plays in, he will have hit. That's the lowest that he's hit so far this season. He is just getting so much volume even with Rasheed Shahid coming on and now being a probably a trusted target within this offense as him and Darnold develop this rapport. I still think that JSN is going to be unbelievable. He's going to finish as the wide receiver. 1.
C
I'm still stuck on your. You know, I found this while I was researching jsn so I was supposed to do it.
A
No, thank you. Thank you. I take a lot of pride in that because if I gave you the Mike Clay setup, it would be obvious that it was jsn.
C
A second why his dad jokes fall flat because we all know it's coming.
B
He does have to start sneaking them in during the season.
A
That's what it is.
C
Maybe. Hey Mike, if you're watching, do a little of that. Be like hey did you guys know? Blah blah blah.
A
And then by the way, sneak it in to give a little bit of like Mike love today because we've said a bunch of mean stuff. He was the one that came up with that. Jacoby Brissette is the only quarterback with at least four games finishing as top 12 quarterback. So I want to give Mike all the love there. He was the one on top of it. All right field Minister Yates, you and I went back to back. We with wide receivers. We thought we're going to finish potentially at the top of the heap. Where are you going with yours?
B
I'm very off the board here. Once again, I said that CD Lamb had yet to finish inside the top 10 of wide receivers in any week this season.
A
Correct.
B
There is a quarterback who has just one top 10 finish all year.
A
Okay.
B
He actually was the highest scoring quarterback in the entire league for that specific week. And I'm going to say that C.J. stroud will be a top 12 fantasy quarterback for the rest of this year.
A
No way.
B
Again, these are hot takes, right?
C
I like that.
A
Yeah, man.
C
This one's. This one's hot.
B
This is hot. So he, by the way, is still in the concussion protocol. We'll see whether he is able to advance at all throughout the week. This upcoming Sunday, they play the Titans. So if he does play, you love it. But over his last four full games, I'm going to remove the Denver game because he got pulled or he was hurt after just 10 total attempts. But over his last four games, C.J. stroud has completed 77% of his passes in three of those four. He's just playing much, much better football.
A
Yeah.
B
Is it a particularly family fantasy friendly offense? No, it is not.
A
Is that a family friendly, friendly?
B
No. Here's the schedule coming up, though.
C
Maybe it's family friendly as in they're the only ones who do.
A
Yeah.
B
How many of these defenses are really scary to you the rest of the season for CJ Stroud? I counted one, but you guys may differ.
A
All right.
B
Titans, Bills, Colts? No, Chiefs, Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers, Colts again, that's week 18, if you play into week 18. So the Chiefs scare me. The Chiefs are very good.
A
Chiefs. And maybe the Chargers.
B
Maybe the Chargers.
A
Maybe the Chargers.
C
The Chief's biggest skill is, I think, is they throw. They just have this aura that feeds into why I think their defense is able to capitalize on it. I think teams defeat themselves. Going to face the Chiefs like it's the Chiefs.
A
Well, as. I mean, we talked about defense is.
C
Good, but I think they.
A
We kind of talked about this yesterday. I think, unless I'm misremembering and mind you, this season bleeds together at this point in time. But when we talked about this, the, the. I think the Bills gave everything they had to be able to beat the Chiefs and then saw a big letdown. Right. Like, that's kind of the thing. I don't know as though that like the. The other teams beat themselves when they play the Chiefs, but there is definitely like a. We gotta bring everything in.
B
This last year, teams beat themselves against the Chiefs very often. Remember, like The Broncos missing the chip shot field goal.
A
Sure. Arrow.
B
It was like a 13 to 12 game. It's like a 33 yard field goal. There was some of that last year. The Chiefs. Yeah. Back on track here they are a defense that I fear the rest of them.
A
I don't.
B
Totally not crazy for CJ Stroud, so he does not run. I don't know if this was a little bit like the past game that we just saw. Has to be accounted for a little bit because they were down big.
A
Big Davis Mills game.
B
But a couple of things. Yeah. The Davis Mills game. Woody Marks played 80% of the snaps last week, including the first five. Now Nick Chubb was coming off of the injury report.
A
Yep.
B
They were down big. Nick Chubb is not a threat as a receiver.
A
Yep.
B
But I do like do like Woody Marks a little bit more going forward. If we can see a bit more of that that we saw last week. And of course they were down so big that Nico Collins got 15 targets. If we can truncate this offense a little bit. Nico, Woody Marks, Dalton Schultz and one of the rookie receivers we might be cooking here. What a great opportunity this Sunday.
A
Yeah, I like that a lot. All right. That's a hot take. Yeah, that's a hot one. That's a seven or eight. Maybe an eight.
B
Ghost Pepper is your approaching Ghost Pepper status?
C
Well, mine might be off the completely. I'd like. You can't even.
A
This is beyond Ghost Pepper is what it is. All right.
C
It's. It's non managed hot takes.
B
Like people are like I don't. People say no duh. Like they. The response should be whoa. Like the Trayvon. That's a great one.
C
Here's mine. The most insane quarterback duo that you didn't draft can help carry you through the fantasy football playoffs, which is Joe Flacco for the next couple of weeks and then Joe Burrow the rest of the season.
A
Oh wow. I'm. That's a great question.
B
They can. They definitely can.
C
I mean let's say Joe. Joe flat. Why do you.
A
I'm not saying. No, no.
C
I'm thinking Flacco was what number quarterback this week?
B
Week. Oh, probably five. I don't know.
C
Yeah, five. I think it was five. Like he's. I. I looked but he's been every rock. Yeah. Not they obviously coming off by but they. He's moved from like 10 to 7 to 5. Like something like that.
A
We're talking about Joe Burrow or talking about. Yep.
C
Right. So if you have are looking for a quarterback who's going to care. You want a quarterback who has top 10 performance every week. No duds, no 7.3, no Josh Allen, whatever. He had six. However many fantasy points. He had double digit fantasy points between Joe Flacco and Joe Burrow the rest of the season.
B
I have a question for you guys and it's a total workshop question. You guys might think it's ridiculous, but we're in the hot takes portion of the show and I want our producer Tyler to kind of say into our ears what he thinks about this. It feels like a million years ago, not just because it was weeks one and two, but because it's unrecognizable now. The Bengals played good defense the first weeks of the season. Is there at all like a mental factor there where like when you have Joe Burrow, there's a certain common poise that you bring to the table as a defense where it's like we don't have to be perfect today. We can just play carefree because our quarterback on the other side is so good. Whereas now it's like Joe Burrow goes down and it's like, oh crap, here we go Again, another Big 12 showdown. Does anybody think the defense can be a little better once Joe Burr returns? Or more likely, have we crossed the point of no return and they're just an absolute booty, cheeky defense.
A
The defense has been playing carefree in the wrong way all season long.
C
Yeah, I mean they weren't good when he was there either. So I think that's part of it.
B
Early. It was good early the first weeks. They were good on defense. Our producer Tyler is vehemently against my thought though that it's going to get better.
C
He is like, I don't think it gets better. I mean, part of my argument here was that you have a high octane offense because you have all the weapons.
B
That's great.
C
So all you need is a quarterback who, who needs to get them the ball, who can throw them the ball and who has to throw a lot of times because they have zero defense. So the opportunity there for you to have top performing quarterback play across the board is awesome. But you would have to have to make it through your, you know, to make it through rest of the season and playoffs. If you believe that Joe Burrow is coming back in the Buffalo game, let's say then you need to have both.
A
I just want to put some numbers behind it. I mentioned that he had 18.8 fantasy points. That was the lowest that he had. He was quarterback 14 that week. Other than that QB3, QB6, QB1 for his last three weeks. So Joe Flacco. Even if Joe Burrow doesn't come back, Joe Flacco just might be able to lead you through the playoffs.
B
Bengals quarterback. Joe is good.
A
Yeah. Yes. Just start him.
C
A Bengals quarterback named Joe.
A
I like that. We got a quick question from our buddy Eric Moody right now. It's either a question or a statement. I'm not sure what it is, but when Moody speaks, we listen. So Eric Moody has this for us. Another one. JMO finishes as a top 10 fantasy wide receiver.
B
That might be Ghost Pepper.
C
He's like schedule. So good schedule.
A
You've been seeing him get more involved. I think Dan Campbell this last week was kind of had this. This is the Lions fan in me. Give me two seconds. But there was a. There was a part of me that was like we paid this guy a bunch of money over the off season and then we've really not utilized him a lot throughout the first half of the year.
C
Year.
A
Let's find ways to put the ball in the hands of this like guy that can run almost faster than anyone else in the NFL. These last couple of weeks feels like has been a concerted effort by the Lions and this offense. Specifically Dan Campbell as the play caller last week to put the ball in JMO's hands. I like this call right now. Spicy. I'll tell you.
B
Hi.
A
Hi.
C
Because he's saying top 10 rest of the week. Did we. Where did he land in the.
B
You know what?
A
So I'm going to look up really quickly where Jamo finished. But we have I guess some more hot takes from our chat.
B
I love it. Here we go. Rest of season hot take. Rico Dowdle. This comes from Eli Bell finishes as a top five running back.
C
All right. Another bell with a hot take on.
A
A running back versus season.
C
I love it.
B
Yeah. Thoughts on this one? Rico Dowdle has been amazing.
C
He has been. I mean single handedly could do it.
B
They played the Falcons. The last time we saw the Falcons. How do they do against a running back? Back?
C
I don't remember.
B
That was Sunday against Jonathan Taylor. They allowed nearly 50 points. Wow.
C
I was thinking Falcons, Panthers.
B
Yeah.
C
Okay. No.
A
Williams officially wide receiver two in week 10. Leave behind.
C
That's in the top 10.
B
He did well.
C
Top 10 rest of season and we'll see.
B
What else do we got? This one comes from Robert Abra.
A
Thank you, Phoebe.
C
Yep.
B
Who says Patrick Holmes will average less than 20 fantasy points per game the rest of the way.
A
This is my burner account. Sorry.
B
When we did our schedule rest of the season show a few weeks ago, Mike noted that Patrick Mahomes at that time had the most difficult schedule for quarterbacks the rest of the way. Sam Darnold held that mantle. So that was going into week nine. Going into Week ten, it was Sam Darnold. I don't know who it is now, but it is a tough schedule for Mahomes going forward.
A
It is.
B
They have have coming up this weekend, the Broncos, they play the Colts the following weekend and then I believe with the Cowboys. So those three games might not be enough to dissuade me. I'm going to go with no, but it's a, it's a, it's a hot take.
A
Strength of schedule from Mike Clay has not yet been updated, but it will be updated today so you can check in on his 2025 strength of schedule for the rest of the season. Got one more, one more question. This one comes from our YouTube chat. Scott McClory wants to know JSN. Sorry, he doesn't want to know. JSN winds up as wide receiver one overall and is the first wide receiver drafted in 2026.
C
So he's taking, he's taking your JSN prediction and raising you one by saying this carries over to next season and he's the first wide receiver drafted.
B
Hard to dispute this. I mean he has, he is wide receiver one right now and we do have, this is what we do every year, right? Recency bias comes into play for 2026 ranked rankings. Not that I would make the case for JSN as like wide receiver 7, but there's also a world next year where Puka and Jamar Chase and Amon Ra and Justin Jefferson and CD Lamb all outscore JSN who could still have a remarkable season. Right.
C
But this, if this is going to be that, this is what we're going to do in the entire off season, it'll be like, okay, Malik Neighbors will be coming off of acl so he won't be in that group. But let's talk about who was CD Lamb. Well, you know, he missed part of the season. We don't know know who. Who else are we looking at? Amon Ra has had up and down games.
A
Yeah, had a little bit of back and forth, but usually pretty good in that offense. Jamar Chase, I mean you're hoping that the quarterback situation is better.
C
Yes, but obviously quarterback dependent. So who's the only person who is consistently above 13 fantasy points? Thank you very much.
A
That's the only thing we'll see.
C
Of course, you know, Mike Clay will talk about regression.
A
Of course that's gonna happen. That's gonna happen. One thing I would say, just in thinking about it this year, with what I've seen so far over the last two years, I think Puka seems to be one of those guys just he plays tough. He plays hard, but there's always like a he's gonna get hurt game or two where he might leave a little bit.
B
Knick knack.
A
Yeah. Leaves a little early, might only play half the game. And that's not a thing I've seen from jsn. I don't want to fault Puka for that, but I've kind of seen that as a trait necessary.
C
Here's the thing. To me, it's how reproducible are your quarterbacks seasons. Matthew Stafford is playing lights out, like a season to remember. Career defining season has changed all the. I just, I've been sharing that stat you shared yesterday that you have a winning record. I can't even believe that. But Matthew Stafford made Sam Darnold an amazing season. Do we really think that they do back to back, like, can you, you know, catch lightning in a bottle two years in a row? It's really hard.
A
I was going to say really hard. Is it catching lightning in a bottle or has it just taken the NFL this long to allow Sam the ability to develop and put him in situations to succeed?
C
Both can be true.
B
Yeah.
C
You know, he could have the career of year and have a good year next year, but still, like, people are like, we're not gonna let that Darnold JSN thing happen to us this time.
A
Yeah, we'll see. We'll see JSN finishing out the way that he has started. Man, it is going to be an interesting conversation to offseasons. Yeah, absolutely. All right, that's going to do it for our show today. First and foremost, a reminder. Thank you so much to all of the veterans out there. We so appreciate you and everything you do for our country, including you. Thank you, buddy. I appreciate both of you and all of the things that your families both do by having dads that are in the military as well. So I appreciate everybody for that. We're gonna be back tomorrow on Wednesday. Mike Clay is going to be here with us. Make sure you get your waiver claims in. With it being Tuesday, today's show was presented by Little Caesars. And don't forget to love each other and be kind to yourself. You deserve it. We love you guys.
C
We'll see you tomorrow.
B
Fantasy.
A
Fantasy for God.
In this episode, Field Yates, Stefania Bell, Daniel Dopp, and Mike Clay (in spirit) break down everything fantasy football for Week 11: from must-add waiver wire players, injury updates, and a passionate, light-hearted recap of a dreadful Monday Night Football, to spicy “rest of the season” hot takes. The crew also celebrates Veterans Day, shares some laughs, and answers community hot-take questions, all in their trademark blend of banter, expertise, and empathy.
| Player | Status (as of ep) | Waiver/Start Recommendation | |-----------------------|------------------------------|--------------------------------------------------| | Joe Burrow | On IR, practice window open | Add & stash (weeks 14–16) | | Chris Godwin | Out, “no timetable” | Consider drop if roster-crunched | | Garrett Wilson | Out 3–4 weeks | Drop in most leagues unless you have deep bench | | J.K. Dobbins | Foot injury, day-to-day | Monitor; adds for RJ Harvey, Tyler Badie | | Trey Benson | Not practicing (post-scope) | Add if healthy, watch practice reports | | Oronde Gadsden | Quad bruise, week-to-week | Wait and see, not worst-case scenario |
Lively, supportive, honest, and a little goofy. The team balances serious fantasy analysis with jokes, football frustrations, and heartfelt tributes to service members.
The waiver wire is thin this week, but key adds at QB (Brissette, Flacco, stash Burrow), WR (Parker Washington, Alec Pierce), and risky RBs (RJ Harvey, Sean Tucker) could make the difference for teams missing players due to bye weeks or injuries. Monitor injuries to stars like Joe Burrow and Chris Godwin. The hot takes segment is spicy, with bold predictions on several emerging stars’ end-of-season placement—including JSN and Ceedee Lamb. Strong camaraderie, in-depth analysis, and a focus on helping fantasy managers adapt for the playoff run anchor this episode.
