There's a reason Chevy trucks are known for their dependability. Because they show up no matter the weather, push forward no matter the terrain and deliver. That's why Chevrolet has earned more dependability awards for trucks than any other brand in 2025, according to J.D. power, because in every Chevy truck, like.
Mike Clay
Every Chevy driver, dependability comes standard.

What'S good friends welcome into Fantasy Focus Football alongside Field Jates and Mike Clay. My name is Daniel Dopp here. After a Thursday night football game showdown right now between the Seahawks and Cardinals, we're going to dive into that as well as the week four preview part two. And then we got our starts of the week and maybe a little bit of stand up 30 seconds worth, to be specific. At least 30 seconds worth. Hey, make sure that you head into our YouTube chat, hang out with our buddy Eric Moody. Follow him on social media at Eric and Moody for all the things and ask him all the questions that you want. We'd love to be able to get questions potentially at the end of the show if you got some time ready and a quick shout out to our friends over at Trophy Smack. Use the promo code focus10@trouple smack.com to get 10% off your first order. They got a bunch of great stuff over there.
Field Yates
Yeah.
Daniel Dopp
I'm not sure they have anything as good as the Cardinals uniforms last night.
Field Yates
However, intake.
Mike Clay
Yeah. What you're saying. Good.
Daniel Dopp
As good as that was. That was. Yeah, that was the. It was like a kind of actually.
Mike Clay
They kind of look like that toilet.
Daniel Dopp
A little toilet bowl. Yeah.
Field Yates
Mike was very mad about this in the group chat.
Mike Clay
Yeah, I was a little mad about it. Yeah. Old on them from far away. Like you're like is that mold?
Field Yates
Is that dirt in the desert? Like some sort of like desert themed jersey?
Mike Clay
That's what I was wondering. What was the, what was the thought.
Field Yates
Process that was part of the rivalry uniform. Right. The NFL is rolling that out for eight teams. The Dolphins will have theirs on Monday night as well. I'm not going to lie. I liked the Dolphins that I saw. I saw them on Social yesterday. They're like on an all black theme. Only problem is the Dolphins are owing three like not a great time to be like, all right, guys, here's some new uniforms.
Mike Clay
Yeah, like, big touchdown celebration and the score is like 43 to 7. You're trailing.
Daniel Dopp
You're like, yeah, yeah. At least they find a way to get in the end zone, though, right? Like, we're not going to take that seven away from him when they get.
Mike Clay
I don't know. Yeah.
Field Yates
Mike, by the way, yesterday, picking the seahawks to win 20 to 20, dude, I mean, it was basic. I mean, it was 20 to 20.
Mike Clay
They did win. Yeah. It's time expired. Yeah, that. Hey, sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Nail that one.
Daniel Dopp
Well, let's dive into this game, my friends, because that's the. We're going to start this thing off. We each had a couple of takeaways that we're going to bring to this one. However, the one thing that stood out to me the most, I have my own takeaway, but it feels like one of us is going to talk about it. Marvin Harrison Jr. All of us talk about it.
Mike Clay
Finally got extra results.
Daniel Dopp
Looked pretty okay. He had a bunch of targets still looked off. Like there were a number of targets that clearly he was not on the same page with Kyler Murray on, though.
Field Yates
Well, let's just talk about this for a second because if you watch the early portions of the game, you saw the bad version of Marvin Harrison Jr. A player who had yet another confusing drop. It felt like the chemistry between him and Kyler Murray was totally, totally out there.
Daniel Dopp
There are drop became an interception, didn't it? It sure did.
Field Yates
Interception. So it was a play. There was a lot of traffic around Marvin Harrison Jr. That being said, you got to catch the football. You are a wide receiver. I am not Dan Orlovsky. I can't sit here and tell you when a quarterback throws a ball and the receiver, like, breaks his route off the entirely different direction, I'm not equipped to tell you who's right and who's wrong there, but there was an instance of that as well. The chemistry between the two, especially in the first half, still seemed off. And I know that Stefania is our resident empath, but I was feeling bad for Marvin Harrison Jr. Because you could see the weight of whatever he is going through right now had hit him last night. I mean, this guy was just completely, completely sort of like off of his axle. And he, you know, it was a tough, tough go to start the game for Marvin Harrison Jr. The fortunate news, though, is you play 60 minutes of football.
Daniel Dopp
That's right.
Field Yates
And more if necessary. And he finishes with a very respectable 6 for 66 and a late touchdown on a very beautiful catch. I would, I would add as well. So if you did start Marvin Harrison Jr. I understand why you might have had hesitation. You ended up with 18.6 fantasy points.
Mike Clay
You sure did. 25% target share is notable. That's progress from where we've been earlier this season. I like to see that. But you know, sometimes when we analyze this game, it's like a guy could have a bad game and he could be like, okay, but there's reason for optimism. It can go the other way as well. So a little bit of an overcorrection here. He ran 47 routes in this game. Remember I was talking about how the Arizona has been ahead a lot the first three weeks of the season and it's limited the volume for Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison over correction for this game, 41 pass attempts for Kyler Murray. He only hit that mark twice all of last season. So going to meet in the middle at some point here, you're not going to necessarily get this level of routes and volume from Arvin Harrison, but you're also not going to get what we had early in the season. This is a team that I think will hang around.500, especially when they get a little healthier in the secondary. So for me, a little better. I like to see him get in the end zone. I like to see him make some plays late in this game. I like to see what Kyler Murray said after the game, which is like, he's not going anywhere. I need him, he needs me. He's going to be on the field, he's not going to the bench. We're going to figure this out. So that's at least, you know, something positive as well. So I think this guy is going to be startable in fantasy, but I don't think we're fully out of the woods just yet.
Daniel Dopp
It's shocking to me when we have these wide receivers that drop what seems like the easy passes but then catch a touchdown, like falling backwards over two guys in the end zone. And it's just I wish I had like a tenth of that kind of skill because Marvin Harrison Jr. Clearly is unbelievably talented. It feels like he's just in his head a lot of times right now how he's. Things have been going.
Mike Clay
I hope he turned the corner.
Daniel Dopp
Me too. That's what, that's what we're hoping for. How did you feel about Trey Benson now that we got to see him as his first full time starter? 34 snaps for Trey Benson, but a surprising 26 snaps for me for Amari DiMarcado.
Field Yates
Well, they were down big in this game.
Daniel Dopp
Lot of passing.
Field Yates
They're down to 20 to 6. That lent itself to more Amari D. Mercado, who did of course find the end zone himself late in the game. Two catches for 13 yards for Amari. I felt fine. I felt, yeah, I felt fine about Trey Benson.
Mike Clay
Like me too.
Field Yates
I think that this is. If they. I don't think they're going to be playing down 14 points very frequently. I think this is a solid team. The Cardinals are especially defensively. So I feel fine about Trey Benson. He handled what, 80% of the running back rushing attempts last night. That's a good number. He got involved in the passing game as well with five catches, Mike. So to me still feels like somewhere between like RB 15 and 25.
Mike Clay
Yeah, he ran four more routes than DeMarcusato as well. So still get a slight edge in passing situations. Had the five catches we know from James Conner's past the last couple of years. He's very busy in the passing game. So Benson should take on that role and we'll get most of the carries. And again, to your point, they're going to run it more. Also on EBL last night we were talking about why we like the Benson under is. Although he was startable in fantasy to some extent, he very easily could have got that touchdown. He didn't. But he was a fine like flex option in fantasy. But this is a tough matchup running the ball against Seattle. They were allowing 3.2 yards per carry coming into this game. So I expected not the best breakout game from Benson here, but the role was kind of what we thought it would be. So going forward, he's going to certainly be in that RB2 conversation.
Daniel Dopp
I thought just speaking of running backs, I want to talk about the other side. I thought of course this is like the classic Seahawks game where it is clearly Ken Walker that's got more juice and seems like he's more involved and touches the ball more. Which means Zach Charbonnet scores more fantasy points than him.
Field Yates
Correct. Charbonnet had the one yard touchdown run. He had. They actually had.
Daniel Dopp
He didn't even have that. Like Charles Cross got the touchdown. Like he's like the offensive lineman was the guy that made that happen.
Mike Clay
Walker also gave it to him by getting benched.
Field Yates
Getting benched. It actually last night was almost like the perfect encapsulation of what I think is taking place with Kenneth Walker the third right now. I know that people get frustrated when we talk about these sorts of things. Kenneth Walker III as a pure running back talent is significantly better than Zach Charbonnet. I think the coaches like the fact that if Zach Charbonnet is asked to run to a specific spot and hit a certain gap or hole and do the small things that he usually does them. Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker iii, for better or worse, sometimes is always looking to hit a home run, right? Bounce the ball outside turns into a negative three yard run, throw the football at your opponent, get called for taunting, 15 yard penalty and not play for the rest of the drive. So encouraging night though for Kenneth Walker.
Mike Clay
The third it was because it was.
Field Yates
A season high in terms of total touches. 21. And if he keeps playing like this, I don't care how disciplined Zach Charbonnet is relative to Kenneth Walker iii, they're just going to have to play him.
Mike Clay
Yeah, he's a difference maker. He's too much. Yeah, he. Yeah, I'm with you. He. Charbonnet ended up running slightly more routes, but I think had he not been benched for that drive, it would have been a little different. The snaps were still pretty close with Walker holding an edge four in this game. And Walker despite all that and despite splitting the backfield was over a hundred yards anyway. And I agree. I just think he's the better back and he's the. The one H, the one B. It's still a frustrating situation cause they are kind of interchangeable right now. But if you have to at least choose one for your flex right now it is going to be Ken Walker. But there is not enough separation that I feel like he's back to where we wanted him to be. He's not an RB2. He's not like a solidified RB2 flex. He's a, he's a flex option right now. Charbonnet a bench option.
Field Yates
But as we have talked about often, if one of these guys is going to take the crown in this backfield and become an RB2 for the rest of the season, it is Kenneth Walker iii. He is way, way more talented. Even if the coaches value some of the stuff that Charbonnet does that goes beyond the box score.
Mike Clay
And yeah, congrats to the two backup running the 1B back. The 1B backs will say the backup running backs for taking the two touchdowns.
Daniel Dopp
Yeah, Charbonnet, thanks for that.
Mike Clay
Super, super annoying.
Daniel Dopp
Okay, by I learned a lesson, I mean I clearly, for what it's worth, Jackson, Smith and Jigba had over 85 yards from scrimmage. I should have said scrimmage yards, always.
Field Yates
Give yourself the out.
Daniel Dopp
That's right. You never know. But Mike, unfortunately won the board bet that we had on JSN. I think we were at 85 and a half receiving yards. He came in at 79. I actually got a text from my mother this morning that said, good luck on the show today, sweetheart, but you got to start winning some board bets. Buddy Bear. Which is. Yeah, Buddy Bear. Yeah.
Field Yates
Cub Bear. Like, I don't want to.
Daniel Dopp
I don't like starting Owen. Two guys. I don't know.
Mike Clay
Yeah. Only five. Yeah. Wait, that's not right. Four to four targets, five catches. What do you have? He had four targets for five catches. Five targets, four catches, 79 yards. Yeah. Got picked up a bunch of that in the second half. It was very slow. It was dark in the second half.
Field Yates
Literally, it's all zero catches in the first half.
Mike Clay
So, yeah, it was. It was a rough start for him. But it just goes to show, that was kind of the point. Right? It's so hard to put up 85 plus yards in four straight games and almost never happens. It's happened 50 times in the last decade. It's just so hard to do.
Field Yates
Before we move on to our week four preview, part two, are you familiar with the phrase correlation or causation, Mike? Never heard of it.
Mike Clay
Yeah, so far.
Field Yates
Okay.
Mike Clay
You are. Okay. I'm just. Just, just.
Field Yates
Just checking here again. I know you're not much of a numbers guy.
Mike Clay
Yeah.
Field Yates
However would you consider it, correlation or causation? The Seahawks are now undefeated this season when Jake Bobo plays, and winless when he does not. Wow.
Mike Clay
Correlation.
Field Yates
What a hater. Are you kidding me?
Mike Clay
No, I'm not kidding. The guy who had one target last night, you're talking about.
Field Yates
And several key blocks.
Mike Clay
Okay. And they were great on special teams.
Daniel Dopp
Yes, that's true. That's great.
Field Yates
Great points again. 30 with Jake Bobo on the field. They are winless without Jake Bobo.
Mike Clay
Talk to me when he runs more than two routes and then we'll. Wow, that is a hater right there.
Daniel Dopp
Seriously.
Field Yates
Problem is, I can't. I can't respond to Mike because his team's the freaking defending super bowl champ.
Daniel Dopp
It's the worst.
Field Yates
Yeah, talk to me when the Eagles win a game.
Mike Clay
Talk to me when you add Jake Bobo in your fantasy league.
Field Yates
He is Jake Bobo. Let it be. Let it be very, very clearly stated that Jake Bobo is a defending champion in our ESPN/ex ESPN Dynasty League, and I will never drop him.
Mike Clay
Is he on your team? Yes.
Field Yates
Oh, of course he is.
Mike Clay
He used to be on my team. I don't know.
Field Yates
I picked him up last year and now he's a league winner.
Mike Clay
He's got it. He's like our buddy. We reference him often because he's so good at social. Ian Harrod said, like, you keep James Connor in your IR slot for team morale. He's a team leader. You don't cut him. You just keep him around. He won't get you any points, but same kind of thing, right? He's your team leader.
Field Yates
He's a dominant player.
Daniel Dopp
I love that you've signed him to a lifetime contract as well. To this.
Field Yates
He has the only player on my roster that's even in the same zip code in terms of like, roster security as Lamar.
Daniel Dopp
That's fair. That's checked out.
Mike Clay
The practical person in my brain, my practical brain is like, good. Like burn that roster spot. That's useless. Like, that's good for me. That's more good players on Weavers that.
Daniel Dopp
We can actually doesn't like fun.
Field Yates
I didn't need like half of my roster last year when I was just pounding that league into oblivion.
Mike Clay
Wow.
Field Yates
En route to a championship.
Mike Clay
That's right. I'm on. I won two years ago, so I'm like, on. I'm on scholarship for a couple years. Totally fair. I can relax.
Daniel Dopp
All right, let's dive into our week four preview, part two. We're each going to bring a couple of things to the table and I'm going to kick things off. I actually got a couple of injuries that I felt like we should mention real quick, just to be quick on. And I'm going to start with the commanders. Jaden Daniels was a limited participant in both Wednesday and Thursday dealing with a knee injury. He said he didn't feel any discomfort.
Mike Clay
Yeah.
Daniel Dopp
And so it feels like we're just waiting for the doctors to clear him. It's a little bit of an up in the air right now. So if Jaden Daniels goes, we're going to have him as a top five quarterback. We're saying that you start him. If he doesn't go, it's going to be Marcus Mariota who finishes quarterback eight last week. And I want to ask you guys, if you find out Mariota is going to get the start, would you start Marcus Mariota over Bo Nix?
Field Yates
No, I would not.
Mike Clay
No. Okay.
Daniel Dopp
What about Baker Mayfield?
Field Yates
Tough matchup?
Mike Clay
No.
Daniel Dopp
No. Okay. So we're going farther down the list. I started at quarterback 13. So you don't think you would have Marcus Mario.
Field Yates
He's like right in that periphery. I mean, I have a decision in the war room league. If Marcus Mariota plays, I've got Brock Purdy, who I do think will play. We have some roster management, like we have. We could potentially. We play. Sometimes we have to play the game with like your kicker, where you drop the kicker early on in the week and you might have to drop somebody. Marcus Mariota is a very logical candidate for us to drop, but he played great. He played great for fantasy last week. A lot of that came on rushing, and then a lot of that came on a late pass to Luke McCaffrey where the Raiders played. Cover zero, as in, like, don't cover a single person. Not actual cover zero.
Daniel Dopp
Not actual cover zero. Yeah.
Mike Clay
I think modified cover zero. I think you get into Mariota like right after that area. So when you're talking Drake May with the tough match of Geno smith, Brock Purdy, C.J.
Daniel Dopp
Stroud, that's kind of like right in that range.
Mike Clay
Mariota, by the way, I think Baker, like, we have him ranked. I think I have him 10th right now. I know the Eagles defense, they have some issues right now, but they're pretty good. But it's in Tampa. Like, I think he's going to be fine. I like the over one and a half passing touchdowns here. He's been running a lot. I think Baker. I think Baker's fine. And by the way, the last two times he played the Eagles, he put up huge numbers both games.
Field Yates
He's just different. With a compromised wide receiver room. Right.
Daniel Dopp
For sure.
Field Yates
No Mike Evans.
Mike Clay
Yeah.
Field Yates
Limited Chris Godwin, Ltd. JSN.
Mike Clay
But he's. I mean, he's playing at a high level and he makes plays with his legs. I think it's going to be. I love. Fine. I think I'll be.
Field Yates
She's cooking.
Daniel Dopp
The other quarterback that I feel like we need to mention, Justin Fields has been practicing, actually, but has yet to officially clear the concussion protocol. Aaron Glenn said that if he is cleared, he's going to be the starter.
Mike Clay
Yeah. And so for him to confirm that after what he said early in the.
Daniel Dopp
Week, it was a little confusing. Right. So it's nice to have him just like flat out say, if he's cleared, he's our starter. And if he's your starter, you're playing him this week because they're playing the Miami Dolphins.
Mike Clay
Yes, sir.
Field Yates
Yeah.
Daniel Dopp
So we are all in on him. The Miami Dolphins have given up basically a billion fantasy points. 29.4 to Daniel Jones, 26.3 to Drake May. 23 to Josh Allen. He's going to be a top 10 quarterback if Justin Fields plays this week.
Field Yates
All right, so I don't know whether this is more or less than a billion fantasy points. They've actually given up 5 million Sicilian points, so.
Daniel Dopp
That's true. That's true. You're right. Yes, true.
Mike Clay
Biggest number I've ever heard.
Daniel Dopp
Well, he's not the. He's not the only Jet that I would want to start. Just a little bit of updates there on those two quarterbacks. But Field, are there any other charts that jets that you want to play against the Dolphins?
Field Yates
I'll give you a jart. Better than. You know what?
Daniel Dopp
I hate you guys.
Field Yates
Well, Garrett Wilson make it three boom weeks in four efforts this upcoming Monday night. It's a great Wilson inside all of our top 10 rankings. Two awesome games through three total starts. Of course that's come with two different quarterbacks. By the way, Tyrod Taylor of course took over for Justin Fields last week. He got a late touchdown against the Buccaneers. But that game was close. The Buccaneers won it basically in the last seconds of the game because that's what they do this season. Garrett Wilson's been really good. The target chair has been awesome. The jets passing volume has been very, very low. Wilson will be inside all of our lineups. The question is not whether to start him. The question is might he get you 20 plus fantasy points for the third time this season?
Mike Clay
Yeah, fair. I have nothing more to add. I mean, right now he's a lineup block. I'm curious to see if as things settle in with this jets offense, if there's enough pass volume that we're going to have a lot of dud games or bus games.
Field Yates
But weeks one and two were the perfect encapsulation.
Mike Clay
Yeah. So I'm still little cautious optimism. As long as he maintains it's like 35 or so percent target share, I'll be fine. But it's same thing as JSN, right?
Field Yates
He's JSN and Zay Flowers.
Mike Clay
You know, JSN going into last night at a 39% target share. That's the highest we've seen since remember the brand of Marshall year in 2020 when he had a 40% target share. The numbers are never this high in the league. Like 35 is kind of where it would cap out. Like Malik Neighbors last year.
Field Yates
That was five years ago for Brandon Marshall.
Mike Clay
2012. What did I say?
Field Yates
2020. I was going to say.
Mike Clay
Oh no, no, 2012. Sorry, 2012 was.
Field Yates
Yeah, it was like Brandon Marshall was not playing. He was playing during the pandemic. Playing at a high level.
Mike Clay
Yeah. And I don't. He might have been. When did he retire? I don't know. It was a great question that year. Don't know. Far off there. I don't think maybe it was. I don't know.
Field Yates
All right, so we're all in on Garrett Wilson. We are in here. A great encapsulation. Week one, he goes off even though the jets throw like 21 total passes. And then week. I don't know the exact number, but it was low. Week two has a much quieter week when the jets once again don't throw that many passes. All right, Mike, what's your first storyline of the week?
Mike Clay
All right, first storyline for me this week is Travis Hunter. Outlook on Travis Hunter. What do we do here with this guy?
Field Yates
I think he's pretty close to.
Mike Clay
Yeah, I think it's pretty clear as well, but it's worth a discussion because, you know, I. I mentioned this earlier in the week, but I'll quickly recap this. Week one, 75% route participation at eight targets. Only played 10% of the defensive snaps. You're like, good. He's still playing offense, but week two, 59% route participation because he played 60% of the defensive snapshot only at six targets in that game. Why Jerrion Jones got injured in that game. Travis Hunter is the third perimeter corner for this team. So someone's down. He. He slides back in there. Week three down a little bit lower to 58% route participation, only two targets and he played a career high 69% of the defensive snaps. He's yet to clear 33 yards or 9.3 fantasy points in a game this season. The Niners have been good against receivers so far. It's possible Jones is more of a full go this week and we see more Hunter on. On offense. The coaching staff said that his role is not impacted by injuries to other players. Obviously that's not true. I mean, obviously that's not true. Jones got hurt. He replaced them. So it's going to be kind of fascinating to see, but I need to see Jones be the full timer or Montarik Brown or whoever they want to put out there. And then we see more of Hunter on offense. Before I put him in my lineup, I just can't start him right now unless I'm in an IDP league.
Field Yates
So this is a completely fascinating trade in so many ways. When the Jaguars moved up from five to two with the Browns, they gave him their first round pick next year as well, which was the crown jewel of the trade beyond pick number five for Cleveland, who took Mason Graham. It's just an interesting sort of situation that we have on our hands in some ways. History has told us don't judge the process of this or don't judge the results of this trade after just one season. Of course, it's also really hard to do that when you're living in the moment. Like all of us are, right. Maybe Mike is much more pragmatic, but right now you're sitting, you're saying to yourself, like, this is all they're all they're getting from Travis Hunter through three games, an incredibly small sample size. The only thing that I would argue is that it feels like maybe the Jaguars would be best suited to take Travis Hunter, put him on one side of the ball the other and plant him there for this season and let him grow. Like, I don't think that if Travis Hunter plays exclusively wide receiver or exclusively cornerback for the rest of his rookie season, he's going to forget how to do the other thing right. He will be fully equipped and capable to take on more of whichever side of the ball he doesn't play exclusively in future years. He is that rare of an athlete with the skillset he brings to the table. It does feel like though, splitting the atom right now has not just resulted, has not just resulted in not usable fantasy production, but maybe like less than optimal Travis Hunter value as well. Like in real life.
Mike Clay
Yeah, I guess so. I did, you know, I tweeted something along these lines that I just kind of laid out on Social and the results were a lot of like, he's clearly a bus because he's not putting up offensive numbers. But I mean, he is impacting the team on defense. Like they need him on defense, he's playing defense. So from their perspective, they're probably thinking, I mean, he's helping us. He's just. You don't get fantasy points on defense.
Field Yates
I know, I know.
Mike Clay
Like, it's like from their perspective, they're probably like, no, he's filling the void we need right now. Like, it's good, it's. The defense is playing better.
Field Yates
Like I'm here to tell you, Mike, he could be, he could literally be giving up a 20 yard completion on every play and drop every pass thrown his way and they would still be telling you who's doing everything they need because they are married to the same.
Mike Clay
I know, I thought it was a weird reaction. Like he's playing almost a full time role on Defense, like, he's still playing a major role for them that they need. It's not like he's doing. It's not like he's just on offense struggling, doing nothing. He's playing a lot in defense. That's why he's not playing an offense.
Field Yates
I think what I'm saying is I. I think it's fair in the court of public opinion to feel like we were expecting a little more out of the shoots from Travis.
Mike Clay
Well, what. Ha. Well, what would we be getting if Jerry and Jones didn't get hurt? I mean, maybe he does get.
Daniel Dopp
So what if season started out with like a. A. I don't want to say competent, but like a. Much better like Travis or Trevor Lawrence than what Whit feels like we've gotten. This passing game just has not looked in sync. It's not just Travis Hunter. It's the. The entire thing. The idea of, like, Liam Cohen coming over and, like, unlocking, you know, Trevor Lawrence and this offense, like, that has not happened yet. So I don't think this is just a Travis Hunter thing. It feels like the entire offense is still finding his mojo in a major way.
Field Yates
I believe he should play just one side of the ball, but you guys.
Daniel Dopp
No, no, I'm with you. And especially from a fantasy perspective.
Mike Clay
Yes.
Field Yates
Whether it's defense or offense. Like, I think for defense, one, just trust me.
Mike Clay
One, I wish he would just play an offense. Don't get me wrong. Like, I want him to just play an offense, but we'll see. Anyway, for the time being, I'm not going to drop him because if he goes back to full time, maybe they make that decision and say you're going back to 80% of the offense and he gets C7 targets and scores a touchdown and everything changes. So keep him on your bench. But you should not be in lineups this week against the Niners. It's just we. We're not there yet.
Daniel Dopp
It's just tough. All right, I'm going to dive into a couple of wide receiver conversations here, guys, and I want you to interrupt me because I'm going to kind of just plow through a bunch of stuff. I think it's useful information, but if you want to stop me and add to it, then please do so.
Mike Clay
Okay, stop. Stop.
Daniel Dopp
You guys are the worst.
Mike Clay
You beat me to the punch. Yeah. You did it to me yesterday.
Daniel Dopp
That's true. By the way, if you're watching this on linear, we're recording this at 10am so some practices may have already happened that will impact what I'M saying, but got it just to make sure they're on the same page. Ceedee Lamb is doubtful for this week. He didn't practice either days this week. You should make other plans. We're expecting George Pickens, who's wide receiver 21, and Jake Ferguson, who's tight end three, to be the big beneficiaries there in that offense you already mentioned with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mike Evans is doubtful with a hamstring injury. We expect him to miss a couple games. Chris Godwin had an interesting one because he was a full practice on Wednesday and then a DNP on Thursday before this. Like a main, yeah, maintenance thing. So it seems like we're going to see some sort of Chris Godwin this week. The question is how much?
Field Yates
Yes, correct.
Mike Clay
Yep.
Daniel Dopp
So when you look at Chris Godwin right now, ESPN consensus wide receiver 43 I'd rather not start him the first week coming back from injury if I can have it.
Mike Clay
I would rather not. But if he plays half of his normal workload, it's going to be mostly route running, I would imagine, not blocking. So he might see seven targets. He might see seven targets, especially if.
Field Yates
Phillies up in this game not to fence sit. But that's one where you know if you drafted Chris Godwin, you have not had him at all through the first three weeks. So if you're plowing through at three and oh, it's obvious, buy some time. If you're owing three and you're desperate, you're like, I know that it's Chris Godwin at like maybe 50% of the snaps, but my other option is Hollywood Brown. I'm fine with playing Chris Godwin over a Hollywood Brown.
Daniel Dopp
And by the way, the Mecca Abu we have is a wide receiver 15. Because of all the injuries going on right now, he could have a major day.
Mike Clay
He's well set up for a huge workload.
Daniel Dopp

Daniel Dopp
Juwan Jennings did not practice either Wednesday or Thursday and if you remember, he missed week one, then came back and played week two, then missed week three. Three now has not practiced either the first two days to start the week. So Friday's a very important day for him. If he doesn't go on Friday, we should probably plan on Ricky Pearsall. Excuse me, Juan Jennings not playing. Ricky Pierce all did progress. He had a DMP on Wednesday and then practiced on Thursday and said if this was a game I would be going. So it seems like we're going to get Ricky Pearsall out there and you had already mentioned Brock Purdy. Hopefully we see Brock Purdy under center. Seems like things are trending in the right direction.
Field Yates
We're going to get and John lynch have stopped short of saying he's starting, but they have basically told us he is starting on Sunday.
Daniel Dopp
Terry McLaurin did not practice on either Wednesday or Thursday. Unfortunately with a quad injury he definitely.
Field Yates
Pulled him from the rankings.
Daniel Dopp
Yep.
Mike Clay
Yeah, he's out. Yeah. And so Debo up a little bit. Deebo's gonna move up more appealing.
Daniel Dopp
And is there anyone else other than Zach Ertz and Debo that you really feel super comfortable with in this passing game? Not really.
Field Yates
Zacchaeus gets traded there tomorrow. Remember how good he was last year for Washington?
Mike Clay
Brown too, at his moments. Yeah.
Daniel Dopp
Yeah, he did last two really quickly. Devonte Adams did not practice with the sore hamstring, but this feels like veteran rest. I don't know about it.
Field Yates
Back to back DMPs. We'll see.
Daniel Dopp
We will find out.
Field Yates
Put it this way, if he practices on like only a limited capacity today, could he play on Sunday? Of course he could.
Mike Clay
Yeah.
Field Yates
He has been in the league for whatever it is, 11 years. Like he does. Not necessarily 11 years. Is that right?
Daniel Dopp
That's a great question. I do not know the answer.
Field Yates
2014 draft. So yeah, this is like season 11 or 12 here for Devonte. So it's very possible that the Eagles, I'm sorry, the Rams are just load managing him during the week because there is not a lot of value added when you're on your whatever 2000th practice, if you're correct.
Mike Clay
By the way, we, you know, that was one of them things where there's always so much chaos in fantasy. We're trying to figure everything out and some stuff goes wrong, some stuff goes right so far. Yeah. Rams always, you know, it's still so much Kyron Williams. The two receivers are getting their 33% target shares. We both. I have them ranked top six. Nakua and Devonte Adams. And if there was any doubt about Nakua being potentially the best receiver in fantasy, I mean, and the NFL. And the NFL. No doubt he's awesome. So he's. He's totally living up to that 25 fantasy points a game. The guy is unbelievable.
Daniel Dopp
Only the other one for me is that Xavier worthy back to back full practices with his shoulder. I would rather not play Xavier worthy.
Field Yates
If that's where you guys are landing is you'd rather not play him even with the full practice like he's going to play on Sunday.
Daniel Dopp
You said it. Great. I think like proof of concept. I would. I will feel better for me as a manager if he goes off and he's sitting on my bench, then I will feel if I start him because I think he's going to be limited. I think I want to watch him out there on the field and if he scores 4.3 fantasy points for my team and I started him, I'm going to be like why did I do this? I knew better than to do this. I'd rather have him be on my bench.
Field Yates
Easy for me to say because if he has, if you play him and he has a poor week and you end up losing because the player that you could have played instead of him outscores him by the difference in your matchup, you'll be really sick to your stomach. That being said and I am going to pose a question to Chat in just a moment. I think the most important thing for Xavier Worthy this Sunday is does he get to the game healthy? If he does, then next week if he plays five snaps, maybe not. But assuming he plays 50ish percent of the snaps, maybe a little more and he comes out of the game healthy, then I would think from week five, unless or until he gets hurt going forward, you will have Xavier Worthy as a top 25 wide receiver option. Chat back to you once again. War room team last week Wanda Robinson vs. Xavier Worthy. The decision was made for us because of course Worthy to not play against the Giants on Sunday night. Same dilemma here, different player though involved. Xavier Worthy or recently acquired off of waivers, Trey Tucker.
Daniel Dopp
Your thoughts?
Mike Clay
Chat?
Field Yates
Interesting one, right?
Mike Clay
Yeah, it is close. I have Tucker a little higher. I have Worthy kind of near Godwin, you know, same kind of situation. I think it's a close call. So yeah, I'm fine if you are in a tough spot. I want to throw a Worthy in your flex. But if I have a reason not to go that if it's close I'm going to avoid, I would go Trey Tucker.
Field Yates
Trey Tucker is okay. Chat's going to do decide this one for us. So Chat, fire away. Do your thing. Moody, get in there as well. So let us know where you guys net out on that one. It's a close one. I mean I think of Tucker as at the very least like in a 16 team league, good depth to have. But perhaps he gets the start on Sunday. If he does earn the start from chat, we'll have a good top for the game, get him in the right mindset and hope that he balls out against the Bears.
Mike Clay
Tucker, yeah, got the Bears good matchup. That's what I was going to say.
Daniel Dopp
Nice thing about asking Chat is it's sort of like the reverse of what usually happens to us. Like we can blame Chat if it doesn't work out rather than Chat blaming us for giving them bad advice.
Field Yates
I would never blame you. Listen, it's my choice, my decision. Ultimately if it doesn't work out then My team will be, will be disappointed, but not at the chat.
Daniel Dopp
All right, Fields, you're up next.
Field Yates
All right, so we've been talking about Danny Dimes over the past couple of weeks as like a clear cut lineup block. He's playing so great, this guy is. You know, I'm hearing him on morning shows, being mentioned as an MVP candidate and all that. Do you feel that way against the Rams this weekend? Is it that simple? Hey, I have Danny Dimes. I've picked him up off the waiver wire. He's helped salvage my season. He's maybe rectified a quarterback spot. I came into the year trusting Kyler Murray or somebody like that who has not. Brock Purdy got hurt after week one and you know, I've been able to ride the Danny Dimes train. Or are you sitting in this week against the Rams?
Mike Clay
I've got his quarterback 10. He's borderline. So I think you, you can start him if you want. I will say this, he had the two big week one. Week one and week two are great. Kind of came back to earth a little bit. 15 points last week was a quarterback 11 in fantasy. Uh, he's kind of fascinating in that he is exactly one passing touchdown in all three games. However, he's third in passing yards. And then on the other hand, he has what, three rushing touchdowns, one in each game.
Field Yates
But he's 21 and 0.
Mike Clay
But he's not running that much. He just has the three rushing touchdowns. But only like what, 54. I think it is rushing yards.
Field Yates
Five.
Mike Clay
Yeah.
Field Yates
So just make it up when it's 55.
Mike Clay
Make it up. Yeah, it's close. I had that note, but my computer, as you can see, is not responding right now, so I can't get the exact number for you. So we'll go with 55. Field eats 55. So anyway, it's kind of interesting how that's worked out. I think there's enough there for him to be a back end quarterback 1. Rams we know have a good front. It's going to be kind of interesting. Injury, plague, secondary. So for me, fringe starter.
Field Yates
I've got Mike's computer, by the way, is the only computer on the planet that's like overworked.
Daniel Dopp
It seriously is.
Mike Clay
It absolutely is. It gets mad at me like it just did. Right now it's just like temperamental computer. There you go. Now it's working now.
Daniel Dopp
Okay, I'm making a decision right now in a league where I am going to bench Bo Nix in order to.
Mike Clay
Play, I can do that.
Daniel Dopp
Daniel Jones.
Mike Clay
Yeah, I can do that.
Daniel Dopp
So I have made that decision. I have him as a top 10ish quarterback. It just, it feels tough for me. This offense is playing so well. I know week three didn't go as well, but it's because the offense played so unbelievably well. Mike, I don't want to have that be a negative in Daniel Jones favor.
Field Yates
But let's talk about this here for a second because I think we said this. I believe I said this after week two and I was, oh my God.
Mike Clay
It is 55 rushing yards.
Field Yates
Is it really? You didn't say correctly. That wasn't I'm the right way.
Mike Clay
You knew it's five.
Field Yates
All right, here we go. So I said this after week two and I regret saying it that soon, but it I think comes to like, like this becomes the week if Daniel Jones takes care of business against what we all believe is a really, really good Rams defense. Right. Really good front especially you are saying to yourself, going forward, we don't have these kind of conversations on Daniel Jones. You know how, like we hardly ever talk about some of those elite quarterbacks in our weekly preview. Like, what is there to say about Josh Allen? He's awesome and he's great. He's handsome and he's awesome.
Mike Clay
Yeah.
Field Yates
Lamar, Josh, those kind of guys, not to that degree, but they're even players a little bit further down the board that we just don't mention that much because it's implied that you're starting them for sure. That'll be Daniel Jones for like the next couple of months if he does not. If he takes care of business on Sunday because the schedule after this I would argue is manageable. The Raiders next week. You love that one. Love the Cardinals, who are a good defense, but not one that you're saying as if I can't even start my quarterback.
Mike Clay
Agreed.
Field Yates
The Chargers, who you can start your quarterback against because the Giants are giving their quarterback his first ever start against the team this weekend. The Titans, the Steelers, the Falcons, the Chiefs are a good defense. The Texans, the Jaguars, like, going forward here, like there's not a defense that you're saying to yourself, holy crap, we are playing against the. I don't even know who the best defensive.
Mike Clay
There's not even many of them right now that we're scared of at this point. No one is. But you get my point settled in. Yeah.
Field Yates
Push himself over the hump.
Mike Clay
And by the way, the Rams did give up 29 points to Jalen Hurts last week.
Daniel Dopp
Yeah.
Mike Clay
So.
Field Yates
Yes, but he's also a rushing quarterback which dimes is as well.
Mike Clay
But not to the degree that they're not the same style quarterback necessarily. But they're both rushing is. Yeah. Is similar.
Daniel Dopp
So those goal line touchdowns is all you want when you say if he balls out this week.
Field Yates
Yes.
Daniel Dopp
What's your, what's your like quality start line? I think 20 fantasy points.
Field Yates
I mean 20 is. 20 is an inarguable number if it's above 20. I think 18 plus to me is always a number I'd use on my quarterbacks. For some reason I'm at.
Mike Clay
Yeah. QB 11 in my rankings is pretty projected for 18. QB 16 is at 17. So that's certainly. You know, you're talking fringe. QB 1 is like 18 points.
Daniel Dopp
I think I've changed my quality start line to be an 18 fantasy points with the way that 18. Yeah. You know, quarterbacks have started this year. There've been a lot of good performances. So if he gets to 18 that will be great. Mike, what's your next takeaway, my friend?
Mike Clay
All right, next one for me is a couple new look backfields that we haven't spent much time on this week. Minnesota and Washington. So we'll start with the Vikings. Jordan Mason, his outlook or his output last week played 80% of the snaps before sitting out the final 14 plays of that game which was a blowout of course. 116 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. But guys, he had zero targets in the game. Now it's 278 carries and 17 catches. In his NFL career, the Steelers have allowed two a hundred yard rushing games already. Ken Walker and Breeze Hall. So Mason, you know, again he's kind of in that RB2 mix we talked about yesterday at length for me, you know, still hangs around 20 despite that big rushing line because of the non existent role in the passing game. He might get two or three targets but there's a, there's a cap on what he'll do as a pass catcher. So you know. You agree on that? Disagree. Yeah, same. Same vicinity there. Any thoughts? I should say. I mean what I'm saying is right. I'm just saying if you have any.
Field Yates
I love that shirt you're wearing today. I love.
Daniel Dopp
Thank you.
Mike Clay
Thank you.
Field Yates
It also shines bright on the, on the camera here.
Mike Clay
Yeah, I got the. I got light. Look at this. See, this is for you. I got the green shoes as well.
Field Yates
I'm so proud of Mike Clay. I'm not sure anybody has improved their style more over the past. I don't know Two years than M. Clay at espn.
Mike Clay
Thanks, man. I've been following your lead for many, many moons. Watching you from afar, taking notes. Better influences than I see my spreadsheets of all field. I track all what field wears and.
Daniel Dopp
Then that's why the computer's working overtime.
Field Yates
I Wore this shirt 17 days ago. Mike told me this morning that's not true.
Mike Clay
Yeah, I track everything in here.
Daniel Dopp
I'm definitely starting. Jordan Mason, who's your next guy that you guys are?
Mike Clay
Sorry, the other one is of course Washington, Bill Crosby, Merritt, he's been in and out of practice a little bit. Yeah, but again, same kind of thing here. We saw a new. Sometimes a guy gets hurt or something changes. We got a new look at the backfield and that's what we got with Washington last week. Eight carries on one target. On 21 snaps for Crosby, Merritt, a combined 15 carries and zero targets and 35 snaps for Chris Rodriguez and Jeremy McNichols. So those guys played a lot. We didn't, we didn't see Cross sort of establish himself. There was 12 routes run total by the three backs and they were split, split almost evenly across the board. So not enough there for me to start crossing merit. His involvement in the passing game has been too low. Five yards on three targets. He is running the ball well. He has two touchdowns, but there's just not enough yet, guys. Also Jeremy Nichols, that touchdown run was incredible. And you wonder if they might expand his role even further. Atlanta is really good against running back. So for me, Washington, they're a stay away.
Daniel Dopp
How crazy is stay away backfield that if like coming in at the very end of draft season, there was so much, so much hype, so much hype. And then if we told you they're going to trade Brian Robinson Jr. And Austin Eckler is going to get hurt, we would be like holy cow, this kid to the moon.
Mike Clay
And he might, he might be at some point, but it's not there. It's kind of. There's not enough yet. We can't do it yet. He's just a, he's a ceiling bench hold. And you hope at some point he takes control, but he's nowhere close.
Daniel Dopp
That's a good way to put it.
Mike Clay
My good way to put it.
Daniel Dopp
I'm going to forego my third one in honor of you guys because I obviously have a large stand up bit at the end of the show. Okay, I'm going to let you go again.
Mike Clay
You know, your side gig over fantasy analysis you got.
Daniel Dopp
That's sort of the way to do it.
Field Yates
We're going to rehash this conversation we had yesterday. The day before that. Daniel was expressing some. Some concerns about Jir Gibbs. This was a very Mike Clay move by. Very cute. And you guys, like, you know, like, can you play Jameer Gibbs?
Daniel Dopp
Well, I don't know, guys.
Field Yates
The Eagles, like, they might get tested by the Saints on Sunday. You never know. Kellen Moore, familiar with the playbill.
Mike Clay
Who was the guy we were talking about? A.J. brown. Right. Pretty slow start to the season.
Field Yates
No. You know, Kellen Moore might know the Saints, the Eagles play ball.
Mike Clay
I didn't say that at all.
Daniel Dopp
Cover.
Field Yates
You know, it might cover the 29 point spread.
Mike Clay
Nope, didn't say anything.
Field Yates
Okay. I'm just saying I like the way that you guys are so protective of your team.
Daniel Dopp
We are. Because I like the way that you talk with your hands when you're pretending you're Mike Clay, too.
Mike Clay
And I do.
Daniel Dopp
Yeah, you do a lot of.
Mike Clay
I catch myself doing that. What do I do with my hands? I don't know.
Field Yates
I don't know my hands. But which Lions, if any, are vulnerable against an elite Browns defense? Good spice to this matchup, by the way. Did you guys see that? John Morton, the Lions offensive coordinator, said the Browns haven't really seen a running game like theirs, which I guess was interpreted by the Internet as, like, sort of trash talk. I looked at it as like, it's kind of a matter of fact, like, how many run games are like the Lions. But that has injected some juice into this game already. All right, so as far as rankings are concerned, players that I think in some weeks you could consider starting from the Lions, that I would not be starting this week. Jared Goff. Sorry about that.
Daniel Dopp
Yep.
Field Yates
Quarterback, 17 on my board. I'm actually the highest out of the three of us.
Mike Clay
Thank you.
Field Yates
Amon Ra and Sam Laporta and Jameer Gibbs are all in my lineups this week. I think that Jameson Williams is the closest call, along with Dave and Montgomery. Both players, I would say, are flex considerations. I have him ranked as wide receiver, 31 for JMO, running back, 30 for DeMont. The question is not so much how different are they to the options ahead of him in the rankings. It's how different are they compared to who you have on your roster.
Daniel Dopp
Correct?
Mike Clay
Yeah, yeah, yeah. No doubt about it. I mean, I think you nailed it on the head. They're definitely in that conversation of start a bowl, but not lineup blocks. So.
Daniel Dopp
Great insight Field.
Mike Clay
Great insight field. Yes.
Daniel Dopp
Way to go.
Field Yates
Thank you.
Daniel Dopp
Unfortunately, no, Isaac Tesla mentioned Though we're just gonna. He's gonna be my Jake Bobo. I need you to know that he.
Mike Clay
Is the Jake Bobo of the Lions.
Daniel Dopp
That's right.
Mike Clay
Like the Johan Dotson of the Eagles. Right.
Field Yates
Don't you guys play like. So I play, as I mentioned yesterday.
Daniel Dopp
In a raw talent.
Field Yates
Raw talent league you play in only plays one snap but makes it worth it leagues.
Daniel Dopp
Yes.
Field Yates
That's what Isaac.
Mike Clay
Bonus points for one handed catches.
Daniel Dopp
That's right.
Mike Clay
Did you see that league where they have just wild rules and they're like enormous point totals for just random things.
Field Yates
And one was like quarterback makes a tackle, you lose.
Mike Clay
Yeah, it was something like that. But the one that kind of went viral, I think our ESPN feed posted it was if. If a player does a backflip you lose 50 points or something and Tyler scored the touchdown, did the backflip and they were just like freaking out and Chad and.
Field Yates
But I think it's one step further. I want to say it was like you lose 50. It's like whatever the number of current streams. Benson Boone.
Mike Clay
That's what it was. That's what it was.
Field Yates
You divided that number by a million.
Mike Clay
That's right.
Field Yates
And you subtract a number. It's like that's what it was.
Mike Clay
Exactly what it was. Yes.
Daniel Dopp
Oh, that's so good.
Field Yates
Benson Boone's too mainstream for Daniel's music taste.
Daniel Dopp
It's absolutely too mainstream.
Mike Clay
If I've heard of a person then it's a no go for you.
Daniel Dopp
No way. No way. Mike, give me your third one if you do not mind.
Mike Clay
Third one for me is we talked about him a little bit. Trey Tucker. I'm going to talk a little bit about if we're buying into Trey Tucker or if this is going to be. Who did this last week? We talked about it.
Field Yates
Oh, is he Juan Jennings?
Mike Clay
No. Oh yeah. Could he. Year three breakout. But there was a guy now I'm totally spacing now. Oh, Troy Franklin. This week's Troy. Or is he legit because this is year three Trey Tucker, he's a full time player. Maybe he's on the verge of a breakout. He was the third round pick last year. But the huge game last week, 145 yards and three touchdowns on nine targets. He's played 92% of the snaps. As I just mentioned, he had a touchdown in week one. He also saw eight targets in week two. So it's not like he's just not being utilized like last year and just randomly had a big game. He has been productive so far this season. Also as we mentioned, playing the Bears, six touchdowns allowed and the fourth most fantasy points to wide receiver. So for me, I'm kind of sticking with him here. I'm not, you know, I'm not ranking him wide receiver 4 where he is in the in in points scored so far this season. But is he in the wide receiver three conversation? Certainly a flex option. Yes, I think he is Beyond RAW.

Field Yates
Back to chat then. Can we get a poll update?
Mike Clay
Yeah, you bet.
Daniel Dopp
We got a poll Update that says 60% of chat says that you should start Trey Tucker over Xavier.
Mike Clay
I wish like a month ago you could just see a snapshot of this moment and see like what? Like what are we doing here? Just throw my rankings. What are we talking about right now?
Field Yates
Well, there is an argument to be made that like too much is put into preseason fantasy analysis.
Mike Clay
No, I disagree with that. We got to.
Field Yates
We got jobs to do.
Mike Clay
It's our job. It's May's field. We need shots.
Field Yates
No, I just need shots. I think it's amazing because it's. To me it's. But the same argument can be made on mock draft. I don't like mock drafts. Don't matter. Like until the draft begins, like we have no idea what's going to happen. The Jaguars made a pick at Number two that they didn't have until they were on the clock. Right. Like the Raiders drafted Cleveland Furrell back in the day, fourth overall, when no one besides the Raiders would have drafted him until, like, the 25th pick. And that throws every other mock draft off. One injury to Xavier Worthy can make him a player that you're discussing vis a vis Trey Tucker in week four.
Mike Clay
Speaking of which, if we were ranking receivers, like, in the preseason, like Chargers receivers, It was like, Lad McConkey number one. And then they signed Keenan Allen, he's number two. Quentin Johnson, maybe undraftable way at the bottom. But, you know, we kind of changed our minds when we talked about this. What was it, two days ago?
Daniel Dopp
Yeah, a couple days ago.
Mike Clay
And we decided to rank them. Quentin Johnson 1. We all agreed with our Quentin Johnson and Keenan Allen one or two, three. But we all had Lad McConkey third. And our social team, who does a great job, posted that video with their rankings on Instagram. And someone noticed that post. And. And as you can see here on the screen. Oh, gosh, the old sarcastic. Like, I think here, liking our content. So I like to think that we just motivated him to get it going and going forward this season because I do have the credit. I do have him in the FF now league. I have. I. I have Ladden Dynasty. I'm a big fan. I hope we're wrong about those rankings, to be completely honest. So I. I hope he saw that and this is the motivation he needed.
Field Yates
Two things.
Mike Clay
Make some plays.
Field Yates
Great engagement on not just that post, but also the clip that our fantasy Focus team put out on Twitter. Lot of people, we're all fired up about that. I just would like to. We can post this if we'd like to. I'd like to congratulate every single one of those people that engaged with the post. Unclearly not watching the segment and saying, hey, I don't do rest. I'm not talking rest of season. All right? Because there's a lot of ball game ahead of us to be played. Right. But in the short term, in the very near term, who do you have the most confidence in right now? And how could your answer be lad McConkey based off of the fact that Keaton Allen has like 30 targets in three games?
Mike Clay
I agree. I mean, it's not like we said or it's not like we did this after week one. This is three straight weeks of the exact same thing. It's like, at what point do we just say, nope, I'm just sticking with our showing notions on this I'm not. You know, at some point we have to turn the corner and say, all right, the Chargers are telling us something like, Johnson is breaking out. Kenan Allen has the same connection he had with Herbert two years ago. Lad McConkey is the third wheel at the moment and that could change at some point. But right now you look at air yards, targets, end zone target, it's not even close. Like he's clearly third in line, that could change. But right now that is not the case.
Field Yates
So the short term outlook, again, to congratulate zero people for actually understanding that part of it. Well done by you. Keenan Allen might be a pro Football hall of Famer. Like my knee jerk reaction is he probably is. And I know that Quinton Johnson has been a disappointment. He was a 20, what, third pick in the draft pick.
Mike Clay
More draft capital on him than Vlad McConkey.
Field Yates
This is not Kayshawn Booty getting hot for two weeks and being like, yeah, the six round pick, like he's going to be better than lad McConkey. Like, I don't think it's that. I didn't think, I didn't think at the time it was that wild of a segment, but apparently it's got the Internet buzzing, baby.
Mike Clay
And by the way, another thing is like, it's not just matchups because Pat Certain shadowed Quentin Johnson on a majority of his routes on Sunday and Johnson's still was the best producer in that wide receiver group. He still had 80 some yards in the game. I actually tweeted that during the game. I said Patrican shadowing Quentin Johnson still is like 80 yards, something like that. People were like, no, he's not like just. It's like denial. He's not, he's not shadowing him. He's clearly following me, following him around the field like he's on him on like every play.
Daniel Dopp
It sounds like Mike Clay just said that Quentin Johnston is unguardable.
Mike Clay
If Patrick's are king, I mean, kind of. I mean with Herbert throwing him dimes the whole game too. It's unbelievable.
Daniel Dopp
It really is.
Mike Clay
Yeah. I mean, look, I. There's a good chance Lad does make us look foolish and a month from now we're like, no, he's. He is.
Daniel Dopp
I would love that.
Field Yates
By the way. You know what we'll do? We'll own it. Yes. We're just saying right now, going into this weekend, if you had to choose between those three players and you had two spots, I think it's very justifiable that you would choose Keenan Allen and Quinton Johnston.
Mike Clay
Agreed. I mean, if you've been. By the way, I have all three in the FF now league, so if you guys want any. Stop. You can't recharge if you. What's that?
Field Yates
Will you put your money where your mouth is?
Mike Clay
Well, actually, I mean, my team's so good, I'm at first place. I don't have to start any of them this week. So, you know, I have George Pickens who jumps in the lineup. I have three good running backs, you know, so I don't need them.
Field Yates
13 more points to me for the number one record.
Mike Clay
Well, hey, first place is first place at the end of the day.
Field Yates
Trust me, Mike, I know what it's like. After I won 11 straight games to win the title last year. I know exactly what first place looks like.
Mike Clay
Look, don't tell Danny. You and I know what it's like to win first on this side.
Daniel Dopp
Do you guys know what it's like? Did you know your little crown next to your name if you win a championship in the league?
Field Yates
Okay, Jeff Dar.
Mike Clay
I didn't know. Yeah, Yeah. I didn't like all mine have that. So I was just. Sure. Yeah.
Daniel Dopp
All right, let's dive into our starts of the week here in week four. Couple of things to make sure that you know of parameters. We're picking a quarterback outside the top 10, a running back outside the top 20, a wide receiver outside the top 30, and a tight end outside the top eight, which is where we.
Mike Clay
10 on the screen. If you're watching.
Field Yates
We.
Daniel Dopp
We changed that last night.
Mike Clay
Yeah, we're still figuring out. We're still figuring this out. We're not. Week four, a little fluid here. All right, so we went with eight.
Daniel Dopp
Who won last week? Starts of the week. Do you remember who was Rainier?
Mike Clay
Oh, give him his crown.
Daniel Dopp
Six and.
Mike Clay
Oh, got my crown.
Field Yates
My metaphorical crown right here.
Daniel Dopp
I'm going to let you go first then, seeing as how you came in first.
Field Yates
Yeah. And there's no advantage or disadvantage. No, there is because we're not having to pivot off of here. My quarterback of the week is Geno Smith, who of course draws the Bears. Bears have been very leaky on defense. We saw Jared Goff. Goff carve him up two weeks ago. We'll see if Geno Smith can do the same thing this week. My running back is Tony Pollard. The Texans are favored by seven points against the Titans this week. I think Tony Pollard, who, by the way, can be a factor in the passing game. I think that he's going to Hang around enough like this game will be close enough where I could see 18 carries, plus four targets for Tony Pollard. All right, my wide receiver of the week is. While we are all hoping for Drake London, he is well inside our top 30 of wide receivers. So I'm going Darnell Mooney. Darnell Mooney makes list here. I know that the Falcons offense has been sputtering, but there's been a fire lit under their you know what this week. So we'll see if the Falcons can get things rolling a little bit. And my tight end is Dalton Kincaid, who, of course, has two touchdowns so far this season.
Daniel Dopp
Absolutely.
Mike Clay
Okay.
Daniel Dopp
Okay. All right.
Mike Clay
I like it. Well done.
Daniel Dopp
Michael Clay, you were up next.
Field Yates
I don't know.
Daniel Dopp
I don't have any crossovers.
Mike Clay
I think that's totally fine. I don't know about you guys because, like, like, naturally, if we're trying to win, it's easy to be like, okay, I'll do my Q31. But I. What I've tried to do is look at our consensus rankings and find guys, and I'm higher than consensus on, like, that's kind of the way I've attacked start to the week. Obviously, if I'm more optimistic than the crew, then that should be my start of the week. So the first guy was kind of borderline in this regard, but sometimes quarterback's a little tricky. But I'm going Baker Mayfield, like I just said before, kind of money where my mouth is sort of thing. Like I said. Questions. I think he can get the job done here.
Field Yates
8.
Mike Clay
Eight straight games with two or more passing touchdowns before. He had one last week, eight straight. So I think he can do that again. The 2023 playoffs, this game was in Tampa Bay. He had 27 points against the Eagles. And then week four last season, same thing. Week four last year, week four this year, 28.9 against the Eagles. I know the receiver questions, but it's still optimistic about him. Bless you, sir. Running back. This is a guy I'm higher than you guys on Quintean Judkins, uh, last week, 18 of the 19 carries went to him at 95 yards and a touchdown in that game. The opposing lead back against Detroit is a touchdown in every single game so far this season. So going Judkins wide receiver again, money where my mouth is. Last week 17. Last year, we saw these two teams face off Denver and Cincinnati. T. Higgins had a huge game while shadowed against Riley Moss. 11 catches, 131 yards and three touchdowns. Should be the same deployment. I know there's no Joe Burrow. But I've also said I think Jake Browning will be better than we saw last week against Minnesota. So go home with T. Higgins here. It cannot be worse than that. And at tight end we're going to go with Daniel's doppelganger here, TJ Hawkinson 5 for 49 and a touchdown is a 20% target. And last week against the Steelers of the second most fantasy points to tight ends this season. They got crushed for eight for 90 and two touchdowns against Hunter Henry last week. So give me P.J. hawkinson.
Field Yates
By the way, that game is 9:30 on Sunday morning so make sure you get your lineup set early. You live on the west coast or you sleep in.
Mike Clay
Be ready. Dual screens.
Daniel Dopp
That's right.
Mike Clay
Game on one, fantasy football now on the other get a game on your phone.
Field Yates
Watch fantasy football now on your tv.
Mike Clay
Love that.
Daniel Dopp
That's where it's at my starts of the week. I'm going to go with a guy that's finally getting more rushing in his life and that is quarterback Drake May taking on the Carolina Panthers. I'm actually doing the opposite of what Mike you're doing.
Mike Clay
Quarterback 11.
Daniel Dopp
I'm going through. I've lost two of the last three weeks guys so I want to make sure I don't come in last place again. So I like Drake May against Carolina this week. I also like on the other side of that game, Chuba Hubbard taking on the New England Patriots.
Field Yates
Good mention here because Chuba did get downgraded to limited participation because of a calf injury on Thursday. So obviously if there is anything to update you guys on after practice today, you'll assuredly hear about it, read about it, see about it on Twitter or lad McConkey's Instagram.
Mike Clay
So don't worry. Yeah, Rico Dowdle, next man up there.
Field Yates
I've already added them in the one league that I have Chuba in with.
Daniel Dopp
The wide receiver spot. I am going to go with my wide receiver 31 that has a chance to be able to have a You.
Mike Clay
Feel like we are going right?
Daniel Dopp
Yes, I am. I'm taking Jameson Williams. Once I get a win under my belt, I'm not going to play this way. But I need layups. I'm Marvin Harrison Jr. Give me like screen passes right now. So I'm going to take Jameson Williams looking for a big game against the Cleveland Browns and then my tight end is going to be Zach Ertz with the thought that there's going to be no Terry McLaren. He looked pretty good last week so I would Expect him to have a decent amount of volume. And I think is this the first week that we don't have a single bit of crossover?
Field Yates
Crossover. It's good content, right?
Mike Clay
By the way, May, we talked about this interesting choice against a team that's allowed the fewest fantasy points to quarterback so far in this cover three heavy Panthers defense. Fascinated to see a lot here. If May can overcome that. If the running game gets going for New England and against this defense, a scheme, we could learn a lot about how to attack the Panthers defense as well from this one going forward. So I always like to, you know, keep an eye on that sort of stuff. So we'll see.
Daniel Dopp
All right, those are our starts of the week for week four. Obviously, we'll see how that plays out and we will do some punishments next week. We are now at the time of the show we were going to do.
Field Yates
This is the part that I've been waiting 51 minutes.
Mike Clay
We have two.
Field Yates
We just back off last week and let you have the stage.
Daniel Dopp
So listen, last week start of the.
Mike Clay
Week went poorly for Dan.
Daniel Dopp
So I get to do 30 seconds of stand up.
Mike Clay
I looked at it like this.
Daniel Dopp
I needed to do at least 30 seconds of stand up. Okay, so this is going to be.
Mike Clay
A little longer than 30.
Field Yates
You've got nine minutes left in the show.
Daniel Dopp
So we don't need a timer because.
Field Yates
However long you want.
Daniel Dopp
I made sure to make that there was enough here to, like, cover what we needed to do, so. And by the way, comedy's not supposed to have any boundaries, and we're all best friends and we're going to love each other when we get done with this.
Mike Clay
Oh, no. Okay, so it's this kind of. He's coming for us. Should I just leave now?
Daniel Dopp
No, you should. No, no, no, please. No, please. We'll see how this works. Did you guys see those Arizona Cardinals jerseys last night? They. It was so weird the way that they covered them in, like, fake mud or sand or dirt to make it look like they tried hard, even though they obviously didn't. That was. That was an interesting choice. I am not sure I've seen something that looked that bad since the last time I watched a clip of Mike Clay trying to convince us Christian Watson was still a wide receiver. One in fantasy. I'm kidding. There's no way Mike could have known Christian Watson's hamstring. Hamstrings were installed backwards at the hamstring factory.
Mike Clay
That's not your fault.
Daniel Dopp
I do wonder, though, what do you guys think Mike Clay like's watching more. Is it actually the football game or is it just waiting until the game is over to update cell K38 with his wide receiver cornerback matchups? You know what I mean?
Mike Clay
Yeah.
Daniel Dopp
Like, I got this one, right?
Mike Clay
This isn't comedy. This is facts. This is roasting out observations of real life. Yeah.
Daniel Dopp
Nerd alert. Honestly though, Mike, you are the epitome of the kid that got a TI85 for your 10th birthday and just really never look back. And I mean this in all seriousness, you've crushed it coming out of western or central PA or wherever the crap you're from.
Mike Clay
Central, eastern. Yeah.
Daniel Dopp
You are the engine that drives this fantasy game and it's seriously an honor to work with you, so I appreciate it.
Mike Clay
It's not a roast, it's a stand up comedy. But yeah.
Daniel Dopp
Do you ever think about the fact that a TI85 is basically just a game boy for nerds that didn't have friends growing up though? You guys ever think about that?
Mike Clay
No. I had games on there.
Daniel Dopp
Okay, Just sitting in the back of your classroom playing drug wars, learning about market manipulation, hoping the teacher doesn't find out about it, Right?
Mike Clay
Like, yes, that was it. I'm cool too, guys. Okay? I played the games on there. All right.
Daniel Dopp
Little different than where Field came from, obviously. Field, when newborn babies, where they came from with field, they actually received a gift basket like you get at the Emmys. It's like, hey, sweet baby Field came in this world. And it's like, here is a beautiful, organic, sugar free, no additives of virgin baby apple juice for when you get thirsty baby Field, obviously. And here's some tiny baby boat shoes for when you're out doing your yachting with the family on the weekends. And here's a vineyard vine starter pack with organic non bleach diapers and a monogram bib with your initials, fy. Which by the way, FY also means fiscal year. And that's actually how Field celebrated his first five birthdays. It's like, hey, way to go, Field. You're four fiscal years old. Congratulations. I can only imagine, honestly, a cute little baby Field walking around Nantucket and that little diaper and his boat shoes. It would be really. You didn't get to choose where you grew up though, Field. And eventually you did make your way out of the mean streets of Nantucket or wherever it is that you were from somewhere in that area. And you became one of the best NFL insiders here at espn. You are super ethical, thoughtful, and insightful. I cherish the chance that I Get to work with you every single day. You're a joy to work with. Also, I know you're the only guy that's so locked into the NFL that when 5am rolls around, the NFL actually sends out a Memo to all 32 teams saying that Field has been activated off the sleeping list so that he knows he's open for business if you need to break any news there. So, speaking of field, I'll tell you what really grinds my gears about white people.
Mike Clay
Oh, shoot.
Daniel Dopp
Dang it, guys, I guess we're out of time. Sorry. That last one was going to be a doozy, too. I'm sorry, guys.
Field Yates
That is really good.
Daniel Dopp
A little bit of fun there.
Field Yates
I'm so glad that we got that as a punishment.
Mike Clay
Well done.
Daniel Dopp
I spent a lot of time last night trying to find the right way to, like, if I had to do comedy, I wanted it to be at your guys's expense, but I didn't obviously didn't want to cross the line. So hopefully we had a little bit.
Field Yates
Chad spirited right now over that.
Mike Clay
By the way, did you. Did you hear Joe Fornbaugh's last radio this last time on radio? Because it's funny because you and him at the same way. Like, sort of the same way to end it. He was like the whole. The whole last.
Field Yates
It's like 10 days, right?
Mike Clay
Well, yeah, but the last episode, he's like, I'm going to talk last show. At the end, I'm going to talk about politics. Diving into politics the whole way. He kept building it up. And then at the end he's like, all right, so here's my thought. And that was the end of the show.
Daniel Dopp
And that's it.
Mike Clay
I love it. So it's so funny. To the same brain. Sharing a brain.
Daniel Dopp
That was fun. Honestly, that was kind of tough because I wanted it to be good enough. I spent some time, like, delivery is kind of difficult. I wanted to do some.
Field Yates
That was good.
Mike Clay
You put some time in. That explains your bad fantasy advice. All week. You spent all your time.
Daniel Dopp
I'm the comedian here, not you, Mike, Come on.
Field Yates
Did you practice that in front of Rosie last night?
Daniel Dopp
I didn't practice it in front of Rosie last night. I spent after the game, probably another, like, hour after the game got over, like, trying to hone it and change it and figure things out. And I showed it to her this morning.
Mike Clay
So that was a legit punishment because you had to put a lot of man hours into.
Daniel Dopp
I tried. I tried. 30 seconds. Felt like it was too short. Like, I did 30 seconds and I was like, this is two jokes. Like, I think the punishment should be more than this. So.
Mike Clay
Okay. I. If you want to punish yourself more, I lean into it.
Daniel Dopp
You know what I mean? I love you guys. I want to be able to do.
Mike Clay
I'm glad you got that because I would not have done executed that well.
Field Yates
But it's good to know, like, if one of us gets it going forward, how we have to, like, that's. It's good sort of motivation and strategy.
Daniel Dopp
Had a little bit of fun with it.
Field Yates
So more than a little bit.
Daniel Dopp
Do we. Do we have any mailbag questions? Is going to be my question here to close out the show on a Friday once in a while. Yeah. Anyone wants to do.
Field Yates
What do they say?
Daniel Dopp
Chat stuff. So we're going to dive into our YouTube chat here. This one comes from Giant. Says Mike dropped off. I love that. Hey, nothing wrong.
Mike Clay
Great headshot.
Daniel Dopp
Jeremy says round of applause, please, for Daniel. Oh, that's nice. Okay. Thank you very much, Jeremy. I appreciate that. Eduardo says DOP loved it. Not a punishment.
Field Yates
Maybe true.
Daniel Dopp
Roasting my friends is not a punishment. I'll agree with that. Samuel, thank you very much. Great out. We appreciate you, my friend. And then Mama Dop. I've been nervous this entire time. She has been.
Field Yates
Look at how cute the photo is of your mom giving you a big old smooth.
Daniel Dopp
Yeah, she's the best. I love Mama do. She's fantastic. You can also ask mom and dab questions in chat as well as Eric Moody if you want. She's an open book, so feel free. Let's dive into a few actual questions. Appreciate all of the kind words about the comedy roast here for the standup. It means a lot. Guys, a couple of real questions here that you can answer for some fantasy advice. Trinad C. Wants to know, would you stick with BTJ this week or would you sit him? Michael Pittman Jr. And DJ Moore are my other options on the bench.
Mike Clay
I'm sick of Thomas.
Field Yates
Yeah, it's tough right there. I am going to play DJ Moore.
Mike Clay
Yeah. I would play DJ Moore as Vegas. I mean, it is a good matchup, so I can't fault you for that. I'm going to give a. I'm going to give Thomas another week. I feel like week four, once we get through week four, I feel like a lot is settled in. Not one team generally hasn't played, like four tough opponents. Every. We kind of get a good feel for things. I'm going to give him this week. I'm going to. I have him ranked lower. I'm 17, but I'm still starting.
Daniel Dopp
It's kind of a crappy thing to figure out, but I think I need to. I'm going to go with btj, but, like, in order to do this, you're basically monitoring practice reports to kind of figure out whether or not Travis Hunter is going to play more offense or play more defense. So if we feel like there's going to be a cornerback out, maybe that opens up some more opportunities for Brian Thomas Jr. And hopefully him and Trevor Lawrence can just get on track at some point.
Mike Clay
So.
Daniel Dopp
All right, next question that we have here from our YouTube chat comes from Evan. Evan wants to know Baker or Caleb Williams this week.
Mike Clay
I'm a Caleb guy this week.
Field Yates
Even though Mike is the optimist on Baker, he'd probably have Caleb.
Mike Clay
I still have Caleb five spots ahead. Yeah, he's been crushing it this year. He's. He's delivering with the best of them. I mean, no one's on Lamar's level, but Caleb. What did I say? Allen's 25. Caleb's 23 points per game. So he's two points a game behind Josh Allen right now. He's crushing it. Running, throwing, good connection with Adun. Yeah, he's the player like that.
Daniel Dopp
All right, we're all in on Caleb this week. One more question that we have here from our chat. We've got from Jordan, Zay Flowers or Keenan Allen for the wide receivers.
Mike Clay
I have them a couple spots apart. I'm sticking with Zay Flowers. Remember, Keenan's been a little more consistent so far, but we obviously we. We motivated lad McConkey, he's going to steal a couple. He's going to get open a little more this week and pick up some production. But no, yeah, Flowers, remember he had that huge game. He's still a very good player. He's been a pretty consistent wide receiver, too. I say consistent wide receiver to season to season, so I think he'll be fine. I'm going to give him the edge, but close call. Okay.
Daniel Dopp
I feel like Flowers has started exactly like we. What we think of when we think is a Flowers. He had a huge game and he's kind of come back to earth a little bit. And you sort of live with the volatility of volume within this offense.
Field Yates
Yeah, I'm living with the upside of Zay Flowers here.
Mike Clay
Like up the two.
Field Yates
The better chance to go for seven, 124 and a touchdown is Zay Flowers agreed with that.
Daniel Dopp
So I would go there as well.
Mike Clay
Yeah.
Daniel Dopp
All right.
Mike Clay
It is close though.
Daniel Dopp
That's gonna do it for our questions from our YouTube chat. Thank you guys so much for hanging out with us, sticking us sticking through it with all that stand up comedy. Hopefully you had a lot on you guys.
Mike Clay
Thank you very much.
Daniel Dopp
I appreciate you. That's going to do it for us today. Make sure you check us out on fantasy football now Sunday morning. And just like these guys said, make sure you remember 9:30am Football. Make sure you set your lineup before you go to bed on Saturday evening. Don't forget to love each other. Be kind to yourself and we'll see you guys on Sunday morning.

Mike Clay, on Arizona’s Passing Volume:
“He ran 47 routes in this game... they’re going to meet in the middle at some point here.” (04:17)
Daniel Dopp, on roster sentimental value:
“You keep James Conner in your IR slot for team morale. He’s a team leader. You don’t cut him.” (11:48)
On Daniel Jones’ consistency:
“If he takes care of business on Sunday... we don’t have these kind of conversations on Daniel Jones.” – Field Yates (33:09)
