Fantasy Football Happy Hour with Matthew Barry.
Matthew Berry
Welcome to the Fantasy Football Happy Hour. Our final day, our final show for Radio Row. I know you got the big game.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, yeah.
Matthew Berry
That's a pretty big responsibility.
Connor Rogers
Honestly, it's. It's. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend like, oh, yeah, yeah, it's another game. No, it's not.
Matthew Berry
I'm incredible.
Connor Rogers
I'm the first fantasy football guy to ever be on a Super bowl pregame show. It is incredibly meaningful to me. It's. It has pinch bucket list up. It is incredibly grateful to NBC Sports. I'm very excited.
Matthew Berry
It's gonna be awesome.
Connor Rogers
Hoping I don't screw it up.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, you'll be fine. And plenty more interviews rolling on today, guys, but it's been an awesome week. Joe, we were talking even before the cameras turned on, like, just how electric everybody is that walks on this desk. And I don't. Just simply into the scene that is Super Bowl.
Lawrence Jackson
Yeah, yeah. No offense to our previous guests from previous Super Bowls, but I feel like this year people stepped it up to an extent that, yeah. Sets a new. It was very fun. We got to talk to not one, but two Indianapolis Colts wide receivers for the Shoe. We got to tell Trevor Lawrence that his nickname across America is the Traveler.
Jackson Dart
Yes.
Lawrence Jackson
A lot of great moments this week.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, I had a lot of fun. Some of the. And. And the beer pong. Beer pong was a. Was a. Was a. Was a big hit. More people, like, it's hard to just come in cold and hit one. Especially, by the way, like, if we'd had like the 10, right? You know, then it's like, okay, the solo cup, but a solo cup, one shot, cold, and it's pretty big.
Trey McBride
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
Pretty long table.
Jackson Dart
Yeah, Ye.
Connor Rogers
Exactly. So I was impressed with the people that managed to hit it.
Matthew Berry
Christian McCaffrey, DeAndre Swift, Jackson Dart, Trevor Lawrence. I think Trevor was the only one that sunk in one shot. I mean, when you're hot, you're hot. And Trevor Lawrence, the way he played the rest of the regular season. So it's been an awesome week here at Radio Row, and it does continue today because Matthew and I got to chat with fantasy royalty, the man that won you many of your fantasy football champions birthday Bijan Birthday B. John Robinson. Take a listen. All right, we continue our great interviews here at Radio Row. We are joined by not only NFL royalty, but fantasy football royalty and Bijan Robinson. Man, so great to have you here. How's the week on Pro bowl to Radio Row? When do you get an actual break?
Bijan Robinson
Man, I won't get a break until Saturday morning. Okay. But no, it's been. It's been amazing, man. Like, just. Just being here and getting to see everybody, all the great people, great players, and just to experience, like, you know, some great fans that are just so passionate about this game and. And wanting to be here in the love of everything.
Connor Rogers
So, Bijan, I've already released my 2026 fantasy football rankings for next year. You are my 101. I have you as the number one overall player.
Bijan Robinson
Okay.
Connor Rogers
So thank you. And please make me look smart.
Matthew Berry
You make it easy.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, you do make it easy. It's not a controversial player. Last year, Jamar Chase, number one place. I had Jamar Chase, but I had you. I had you as my number one running back.
Bijan Robinson
Oh, sweet.
Connor Rogers
Jamar is number one overall, But I do number. And I remember interviewing you at the N. NPA rookie premiere.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
And I asked you about fantasy football, and you said, yeah. All my friends keep texting me. 101. 101. I didn't know what that meant. Do you know what that means now?
Bijan Robinson
I know what it means now.
Trey McBride
I do.
Bijan Robinson
It's crazy, like, how. How your life is the moment you win so many people's fantasy football championships.
Matthew Berry
You were that guy.
Bijan Robinson
This year, like, your life will. It changes.
Connor Rogers
Well, I will. I will tell you. So I was in the league that I care deeply about. And so I. I came on the show and I literally said this. I said, I don't know, man. I am down. I'm down liter. 30 points.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
And the guy I'm playing has Pukinakua, but I've got Bijan Robinson on Monday night. I said, I just. I need a Monday night miracle. I just need. And it's my birthday. It was actually. My birthday was December 29th.
Bijan Robinson
You get 30 points.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, I needed 30 points. I need you to outscore. It was like. It was you and Colby Parkinson of the. Of the Rams. I need the two of you to outscore Puka by 30 points. And I'm like, I don't know. But then that Monday night game. Wow, you come through. I was like, birthday Bijan, So thank you for the birthday present. Thank you for my title.
Lawrence Jackson
Of course.
Bijan Robinson
Of course.
Matthew Berry
A player, though, like, when that happens, because it was. It was championship week is the next day. Because, of course, you care about winning the game.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
We.
Matthew Berry
We totally get what matters. But does the noise so much louder in that kind of capacity?
Bijan Robinson
I'll tell you right now, like, you would think you're about to play The Super Bowl.
Matthew Berry
Right, right.
Bijan Robinson
Like, because obviously I'm not. I don't focus on fans of football.
Connor Rogers
Like, sure, yeah. Nor should you.
Matthew Berry
We don't think you should.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah. And so, but it's just everywhere you go, like in that championship week, people are like, you sound like, I really need, like. And they're serious, like, need you. Like, you're, you're what's going to put some food on my, on my family's table.
Ashton Gentry
And when I heard that, I was.
Bijan Robinson
Like, I was like, what?
Matthew Berry
That's too far.
Bijan Robinson
But yeah, like, so some people I like ran into, they're like, like, my family's relying on you. And I'm like, what about. So it's a. But it's fun to like hear like all that, all the noise and stuff.
Connor Rogers
Well, it was, I mean, it was one of the, one of the greatest games of the season because of not only, obviously a massive performance, but it was on Monday night. So it's the last game of the week and it's last game of championship week in Fantasy Fantasy playoffs.
Bijan Robinson
Absolutely.
Connor Rogers
And again, you were a first round pick in every single fantasy draft. And then for you to have such a massive game on a national stage against another Puka. Nuku is also a fantasy football superstar. So, you know, no disrespect to Puka, but the fact that you were able to have such a massive game on such a big stage in such an important moment, again, on behalf of Fantasy fool nation, thank you.
Bijan Robinson
Of course. Of course.
Matthew Berry
It's a new head coach, Kevin Stefanski. Have you gotten to talk to him?
Bijan Robinson
I have.
Matthew Berry
And how excited we were you when that news came through because, I mean, not a lot of guys get let go and go to the market of his caliber as head coaches, man, it's.
Bijan Robinson
A, it's great, man. It's, it's, it's a blessing having somebody, you know, of great leadership and of great respect and even with him, like, even getting to talk to him when he, when he got in and get it to just chop it up, his plan and his vision for the team, for the offense is it's pretty awesome. And you know, I really can't wait to go in the facility, really talk about the offense, really get everything going, dissecting everything, because I know he's ready for, for it and I'm ready for it as well. And you know, even with Tommy Reese being there as the OC and you know, them working together, like, I, I'm excited for what they have in store.
Connor Rogers
Well, I think, I think I Could coach you and I think you'd still be awesome. Like I don't.
Matthew Berry
And the ball, Bijon.
CD Lamb
Yeah, exactly.
Matthew Berry
Throw the ball.
Connor Rogers
Throw the ball to Bichon, right? Can Bijan throw the ball? That's the next thing, right? Exactly. How are you at kicking? Right. The more times we can get the ball somewhere near Bijan Robinson, the better it is for all of us involved. But, but he's been really creative. Two time coach of the year. Not everyone knows that. But yes, two time coach of the year for Cabin. But one of the question marks around this Falcons offense next year is the quarterback, obviously Michael Penix recovering from a, you know, just an absolutely brutal injury. Kirk came in towards the end of last season. His future with the team is, you know, we'll see. So just curious your thoughts on sort of the quarterback position as you head into next season for Atlanta.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah, I mean, I mean obviously like it is an important position. You know, we're all supporting Mike in his rehab and you know, God willing he comes back for training camp and you know, that's what we all hope that's what we want and I know that that's what he wants as well. So you know, we'll just, we'll see what that. Where that goes. But you know, I know they have a plan. Matt, Kevin, Ian, like, I know they all have a plan and are working on something. So whatever they plan on doing, I'm all for it. And you know it's. That's going to be all I can say, I guess right now. The quarterback.
Matthew Berry
It was such an interesting season for you guys because you had big wins. You felt like a really young team on defense. You had all these new young guys, especially on the back end of the defense that were making plays. You had a great year. Like a lot of things went right, a couple small things went wrong. You don't make the playoffs and it was that close. Like what are the positives you could take away. Can you take away positives from a year like that where you are feel like you're building towards the next year?
Bijan Robinson
I mean we won four straight and winning those four straight were. That gave us so much momentum. Like our team was so bought in and you know, it was just good to see like winning all four of those games and you know, against two, four great teams, really good teams. And the bill, I mean not the Bills, the Rams, the Bucks, like and, and you know, the, the Saints. I'm forgetting one more but it was. They're in there. Oh, Cardinals. But that, that gave us so Much confidence as a team. And you know, for us, like, building off of that, building off of last year, like, that's what we want. That's the goal. And I know all the young guys on the team, like, are very. Continue that next step because, you know, yeah, there's so much talent. But now using that talent as, you know, a consistent, on a consistent basis and, you know, listening to the new coaches and what they have, I think it's gonna be right.
Connor Rogers
So for a couple years now, your teammate, Tyler Algier has been your backfield partner.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
Us and Fantasy both love him and hate him. We love him if we've got him because he's such a machine around the goal line. We hate him if we've got you on our team because we're like. That should be Bijan's touchdown. What are you doing? Don't, don't pull. What are you doing to us, man? But he's slated to become a free agent. Don't know if you've had a chance to talk to Tyler about his process there, but. So it's a two part question. Number one is if he were to leave the team, I think Tyler can be a feature back in the NFL where he is the man. And number two, if he were to leave, you know, can we get more of those touchdowns from you? Can we get the goal line work? Are you ready to handle more of the red zone work?
Bijan Robinson
Yeah. Well, I mean, selfishly, I, I love Tyler. That's my, that's my best friend, that's my brother. We go on trips together, you know, we just have a great time. Like, that's, that's my dude, man. So selfishly, I want him to stay just because like that one, two punch, like something that you love as a running back, you definitely cherish something like that as a running back. But I mean, for your first part, you know, I know he's about to become a free agent and, you know, I want him to be here, but I want him to have his best opportunity and get as much, get as money as he can for sure, himself or his family. Like, he deserves it. He works hard, he worked hard for it. So I know he will become a future back wherever he goes because he's super talented and he, he has so many skill sets that he uses and that he can use for that offense. So, you know, I know he'll be if he, if he's with us, but I know if he's with somebody else, he'll be amazing. But I, I definitely want him to Say instead of me. And then for your second part, I mean, I mean, I hope that's, that's the plan. We' I'm gonna do whatever I can to, you know, get, get the ball, that end zone. So, you know, we'll see what goes from there.
Matthew Berry
The story for you guys going into the year was that defensive rookie class you had come in and they played really, really well. You're a guy that gets to see them and practice against them all the time.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Matthew Berry
Was there one of those guys that you looked at and you're like, man, he might be a superstar for us.
Bijan Robinson
Really? All. All four of them? Yeah, they all made play because all four. Yeah, I'm about to say all four of them were superstar level players. And, and I think it was the first practice and Xavier Watts, like, I don't know how, why I don't ask questions how he fell to where he fell to, but we're all wondering it too. And like, that first practice, he was just around the football every play, like in the past. He. He can't be like, you know, like, break up the pass, but like, not like hit the receiver or anything, but he was right there every, every single time in the run game. I would, like, see him right next. I'm like, who is this guy? Like, I don't know, but he was one guy where I was like, he's gonna be very impressive. And from the jump, he's. He made an impact. He made an impact. And all four of them have too, no doubt.
Connor Rogers
Bijan, you've partnered with Colgate Total to highlight the Colgate Total active preventage whitening toothpaste.
Bijan Robinson
Yes, sir.
Connor Rogers
Can you tell us more about your partnership with Colgate?
Bijan Robinson
Yeah, so the partnership's been amazing. Obviously you just said that the Colgate Total Active Prevention system, and it comes with the toothpaste and the toothbrush and, and you know, for me, like, my health is. My health is very important. My oral health is very important. And I love to prevent things before they start. And, you know, that's what Colgate does. And it does it not just for, obviously me, but for everybody who uses it. And it's just an amazing partnership to see other people use it, enjoy it, love it. And I say, like, if you love Colgate, you'll love it forever. And if you hate Colgate, you'll grow to love Colgate eventually. So it's been an amazing partnership and, you know, it's been something that I really take pride in and love to continue to be a part of.
Connor Rogers
Well, congratulations. On it. And thank you to Colgate for giving us a few minutes of your time. It's always great to talk to you. Last thing for us here.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
So our show, Fantasy World Happy Hour, it takes place in a bar. Normally we do a lot of bar related games. Yeah, we do flip cup, play some beer pong. So we want to bring you in for a celebrity. Celebrity pong shot here. I'm guessing you did this in Texas A few times maybe.
Bijan Robinson
Let's see.
Connor Rogers
No, stand up. No, go ahead and stand up. Yeah.
Matthew Berry
Yep.
Jackson Dart
Okay.
Matthew Berry
Okay, cool.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
You're good.
Jackson Dart
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
Yeah. From here, right? Yeah. Ah, one more time.
Matthew Berry
Here.
Connor Rogers
Try one more time.
Matthew Berry
That was the best one of the day.
Lawrence Jackson
Almost.
Connor Rogers
Yeah. You almost got it. Hey, have one last seat here at Bijan. Thank you so much.
Lawrence Jackson
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
For spending some time here. I have one last request.
Bijan Robinson
Okay.
Connor Rogers
Maybe next year. Just put this in the back of your mind.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
You know when you're doing a press conference, at the end of it, maybe after a victory, you've had a big game. At the end of it, can you just kind of like as your final saying, just kind of go, bird up, up and. And walk out.
Bijan Robinson
Bird up.
Connor Rogers
Yeah. And I got.
Lawrence Jackson
I got to start now.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, exactly. Bird up.
Bijan Robinson
I'm.
Connor Rogers
I'm trying to make that a thing for the Falcons.
Bijan Robinson
Bird up, bird up.
Matthew Berry
It hasn't taken off yet, but if.
Bijan Robinson
Anyone could do it, it might take off. It might take off.
Matthew Berry
B. John Robinson Fantasy royalty. NFL royalty. Thank you so much.
Bijan Robinson
Man 101.
Connor Rogers
There he is.
Bijan Robinson
Appreciate you guys.
Connor Rogers
CD Lamb is with us today. Thanks to new cologne infused Old Spice Spice Alchemis. No trade offs and crafted for compliments. Get it where you get your Old Spice. So CD or Eights. Can I call you Eights?
CD Lamb
Yes, you can.
Connor Rogers
There you go. I always say this. I say, you know, CD Lamb, or as his friends call him, Eights. I call him Eights.
Lawrence Jackson
Right.
CD Lamb
For sure.
Trey McBride
Exactly.
CD Lamb
Keep it friendly.
Jackson Dart
For sure.
Connor Rogers
100%. I just. Good, we got that on camera. Honestly, the rest of the interview is all gravy. I don't care anymore. I just wanted that.
Jackson Dart
All right.
Connor Rogers
Yesterday on pro football Talk, cd, you mentioned you spent five hours getting your grill inserted. Two part question for you. What's the most you spend on a grill and what's the longest it's taken to get inserted?
CD Lamb
The most I spent on a grill is pretty expensive. It's the grill that I have right now. I'm not gonna give it a number, but I will play a guessing game.
Trey McBride
Right.
CD Lamb
All right, let's just say we have 10 plus carrots in my mouth. So you do the number, you do the math.
Trey McBride
Right.
CD Lamb
But as far as inserting it, it was definitely. The longest was five hours. So that was the whole procedure. Like, it was the whole process. And now I feel like these are my teeth. Like.
Trey McBride
Yeah.
Lawrence Jackson
Right. It's unbelievable.
Jackson Dart
Yeah.
Lawrence Jackson
We should get you doing the same thing.
CD Lamb
We should.
Connor Rogers
We should. Would it work on me? What do you think?
CD Lamb
Come on. I think it will.
Connor Rogers
All right. Do you have a guy that can hook me up? All right, you got a guy.
Lawrence Jackson
Good.
CD Lamb
We're actually in this. In. In the state right now, so.
Connor Rogers
All right.
CD Lamb
It's a great time.
Connor Rogers
All right, good. Me and eight's gonna go get me a grill after this. There we go.
Lawrence Jackson
Yeah, done. Sounds good.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
Good.
Lawrence Jackson
Sadie, I know you dealt with some injuries this year. When did you feel like you were back to 100%?
CD Lamb
The Chiefs game was the first game that I felt like I was 100% okay after the injury. Like, post injury.
Jackson Dart
My.
CD Lamb
Although I was playing Washington, where I felt like I was, I was pretty good. But then once you start moving around and the body started doing what it's doing and you start moving how you normally do before the injury, that's when you kind of start nicking it, you know? So, like, that's. For me, the Chiefs game is where I felt my most elusive, and I felt like I was able to trust my ankle again, and I had a pretty decent game, but overall, it was a nagging injury.
Connor Rogers
What was it like this year? CD for so many years of your career, it's sort of been. It's been you. And just the entire focal point on you. No disrespect to any of your former teammates or current ones, but this year, you guys add George Pickens and so. So what was that like for your game to add somebody like that to the offense?
CD Lamb
It was much relieving to me, obviously, as you know. As far as going against, it's not. It's not like. Like, when you're not the only one out there, but when you're the one that they're trying to. As far as game planning to game plan against. I'm speaking as far as the defensive coordinator.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, sure.
CD Lamb
We're not really playing against the 11 guys that's out there. It gets to a point to where, like, all right, now I'm going against the D coordinator. Right. So the game plan changes a little bit when you have two guys out there that is very dominant, you know, and that can lead a team to the super bowl on the same team, right? So like, it kind of gives them a little. I hope they lose a little sleep, you know, so like, you can bring them all, bring on the double coverage, bring on the shades, the chips and everything in between. He's going to kill you. So as for me, it was good to see. It was good to see everything about it. So now going on, moving forward, they're gonna have to respect GP they're gonna have to respect whoever's at Terp as well. He's running down the middle so fast. So you're gonna have to respect these guys. And then as soon as you come above me as far as trusting whoever one on one coverage, it's gonna be my time to shine.
Lawrence Jackson
Yeah, I know. JP is an ex receiver who plays mostly on the outside. We were talking before with Michael Pittman about the difference between playing on the outside, playing in the slot. Like, how do you see that difference for your own game?
CD Lamb
I had answered this I want to say yesterday. I feel like. Okay, so being on the outside, I feel like is mandatorily when now, like you have to like you're gonna, 9 times out of 10 pre C press coverage, right? And then you're going, you're racing against the D line. So you got one 1002, 1003, then you should be open. That makes it a little difficult, especially if you got guys like Pastor Tane. You got sauce, that's who over here. Like, you got stingly. You got to beat these guys in three seconds. They understand that as well. But if you go on a slot now I have more time because you got to look at the outside receiver, then you got to look at the tight end. And now I'm open in the slot. So I gotta. I feel like I got more time and I have more routes, but. But the only thing that I feel like they don't understand is that you gotta beat the guy twice to get the ball.
Lawrence Jackson
Okay.
CD Lamb
Because if I beat you too fast, you can undercut my route and then you can make a play. But if I beat you at the right time, then. So I feel like playing on the outside, you gotta win much faster. Playing in the slot, you got a little more time to win.
Trey McBride
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
So it sounds like you prefer, like if. If you get to choose, you'd prefer to be in the slot lot.
CD Lamb
I don't care where I'm at, you're.
Connor Rogers
Going be open regardless.
Ashton Gentry
I can win.
CD Lamb
I can win. And whenever time you need me, just line me up and let me know.
Connor Rogers
What I got last time you were on our show, cd, and I know you do so many interviews, so I'm sure you don't remember, but the last time you were on our show, we asked you about fantasy football, and you told us that the last time you were in a, you were, you were in a league and your brother drafted you and wouldn't trade you to you.
CD Lamb
He would. He wouldn't. And I mean, that was the last time that I've had a fantasy team. So at that point I realized that I'm never going to have the first overall pick or I'm not going to have a top five pick enough to pick myself. Right? So I just gave it up. I just gave it up. I missed it this year. I missed it.
Connor Rogers
Well, it's a shame because you had a very good year when you were, when you were out there. So you were once again and you will once again be a huge fan, you know, top seven pick this year, fantasy football. One of the first receivers off the board, as you always are. How often does that come up, up, like, when fans approach you and, you know, some of your friends, how often does that come up in your life in terms of, like, a little more.
CD Lamb
Often than I expected, honestly. I really thought, like, it would just be like my small group, but a lot of people would, like, approach me like, hey, I drafted you on fantasy, or, hey, you helped me win a fantasy championship. And I'm like, that's fire. Like, I'm glad. Draft me again next year. Like, maybe we'll have a better year. So as for me, it's all about fan engagement and being able to connect with my people and just understand, like, I'm working, but once I'm done, I would love to interact with you guys.
Lawrence Jackson
Like, yeah, I know Dak has been your quarterback, the starting quarterback of the Cowboys, ever since you got into the league here. Like, how has he changed as a quarterback and his skill set over the time you've been here?
CD Lamb
He's finding different ways of being mobile. He's finding different ways of just injury prevention. Rather is working on his technique, whether it's working on intermediate short D balls, like, however. However it is. Every off season, I feel like we get better as a unit and we find something to critique. So I don't know what he's going to do about this year because last year he had a hell of a season. Excuse me. I shouldn't be saying that, but I feel like he had a pretty good season.
Connor Rogers
What was the, what was the difference this year? Obviously, Brian Schopenheimer was on the staff, but in terms of now that he's the head coach, what was the difference in his approach as a head head coach from Mike McCarthy?
CD Lamb
I feel like we. We were much more physical up front. I feel like we were able to. To run the ball. And that's kudos to Clayton because he came in. He came in demanding that we're going to actually run the ball because it will help. It will help the pass game, you know, and that it did, because Javonte Adams go off and run for 1100 yards, which is. I said Williams, you mean. I'm sorry, bro. Love you. But yeah, Tay Williams, he go off and run for 1100 yards, you have no choice but to respect it. Or else we're just gonna run the ball and then that's when the play action comes. Then that's when Dak. We can get downfield and Dak can actually get enough depth and watch us without pressure in his face. We're able to protect and I feel like that's where we are at our best.
Trey McBride
Yep.
Lawrence Jackson
Who do you think is going to win on Sunday?
CD Lamb
I think the Seahawks is going to win, but if they don't, congrats to whoever that does. Obviously it's a 50, 50 chance, but yeah, congrats to those guys.
Connor Rogers
Last thing for us CD is eight. I'm sorry, eights. Last thing for us eights is that our show, fans, people, happy hour takes place in a bar. And so normally when we're not here and so we do a lot of bar related games on the show. Like we do flip cup, we do beer pong. We've been asking some of our guys, we've been asking everyone to do a celebrity pong shot. One shot. You bring into the game from here? Yes, yes. Stand up. See if you can see me take this shot here.
Lawrence Jackson
Now let's check out the form.
CD Lamb
Yeah.
Lawrence Jackson
All right, Locked in. Oh, not bad.
Bijan Robinson
One more.
CD Lamb
Get one more.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, one more.
Matthew Berry
Oh.
Lawrence Jackson
Close to the rims.
Connor Rogers
Close to the rims. All right, well, listen, thank you so much and thank you to to Old Spice. You are here today thanks to new cologne infused Old Spice Spice Alchemists. No trade offs crafted for compliments. Get it where you get your Old Spice 8. My dear friend, continued success to you got you can't wait to have a. I'll see you next season. And after, after we get off air, you and I will figure out like, you know, get me a grill.
CD Lamb
Perfect. We will. Hopefully you guys don't see me next Season.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
Yeah.
Trey McBride
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
Hopefully you're in the Super Bowl. Absolutely. Good stuff, CD Lamb. Thank you, man. He is a QB one the rest of the way. Like, if I'm in a QB needy league, if I need a quarterback, look, if I went to the season thinking like I was gonna Trevor Lawrence or whatever or Joe Burrow, and I've been sort of trying to piece it together. Like, I think Jackson Dart is a top 12 fantasy quarterback the rest way. I prefer him to Daniel Jones, who's like the other big sort of free agent quarterback that's emerged so far this year.
Matthew Berry
We continue our interviews here at Radio Row for Super Bowl 60 with Giants quarterback Jackson Dart, the most comfortable man on Radio Row. I asked him right away, I'm like, how do we find ourselves at one of these? But you got to be a little bit warm.
Trey McBride
Warm.
Ashton Gentry
No shot.
Matthew Berry
Right off the plane from Utah.
Jackson Dart
No doubt. Yeah, you know, I. I planned. I came from Utah, so it was a little chilly there. I should have planned a little bit better. Probably should have worn a beanie, but jacket's sick, so. Shout out Pepsi, zero sugar.
Matthew Berry
You're a New Yorker already now. Yeah, it's kind of New Jersey, but really, you gotta get credit reports. Yeah, that's right. You're getting used to it.
Connor Rogers
All right, Jackson. So we just played a clip, so I know a lot of people are like, oh, Jackson, I'm a big fan. Oh, you know, what a great season. Congratulations. All these are. Johnny come late at least.
Jackson Dart
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
None of them believe. I believe before anyone else did. So I just, you know, thank you for making me look smart. Thank you very much.
Jackson Dart
No, you did a great job.
Connor Rogers
Great job. I appreciate that.
Lawrence Jackson
It was a great call.
Connor Rogers
It really was. Especially because, by the way, when I made the call, I thought you were going to have Malik neighbors all year.
Matthew Berry
Right.
Connor Rogers
And you didn't do that. So talk to me a little bit about the challenges of that as you. So first off, you come in as a. You come in as a rookie, so you're behind Russ. You get the opportunity. And oh, by the way, you know, your best wide receiver, you know, one of the best wide receivers in the NFL isn't going to be there for the rest of the season. Talk to me about adjusting with all the different pieces in that offense.
Jackson Dart
Yeah, well, first of all, I got to give a huge shout to my quarterback room with Russ and Jameis. I mean, guys who were just amazing from the moment that I stepped in and played a crucial role of just my development throughout the year. So big shout out to those guys have a ton of love for him. But, yeah, I mean, you hit it like it was tough. I mean, anytime you see not only a player like Malik, but just like a friend and a person like him go down, it's a unique world that we live in. Our worlds kind of just revolve around the sport. So when you have an injury like that that takes away the game and the thing that you love, it's really hard to go through. So definitely had a lot of prayers for him. It was hard for us because I think he is the best receiver in the league. But, yeah, this year was a whirlwind. There's a lot of, you know, how I see it is a lot of learning moments for me to go forward and I can't wait to get this thing rolling again.
Matthew Berry
And there's so much excitement in New York and New Jersey right now with the hiring of John Harbaugh and a new staff and everything. What has been his early message to you right away since he got the job?
Jackson Dart
Yeah, I mean, it was just great to have those conversations even before he got the job. You know, kind of just how, you know, he views competition, the relentless atmosphere and culture that he builds and breeds with his team. So I can't wait to play under that with him and get out there and get competing. But I think that it's, you know, when his name came up, you know, every team wanted him. You know, even teams that had coaches wanted him. So I think that he sees a great vision here in New York with the team and the people that we have within the organization. And, you know, he's going to guide us to make sure that we take the right steps moving forward and be as successful as we can be.
Connor Rogers
Now, you play with such a frenetic style, right. And you are such a gamer. You're willing to do whatever you can to get the first down to move the ball, to do whatever you can for the Giants. But I'm curious because you did take some bad hits this past year. There's concerns about your playing style. Any thoughts about changing that style or just. No, it is what it is.
Jackson Dart
Yeah. I think that from a playing style standpoint, I've played a certain way my whole entire life.
Bijan Robinson
Life.
Jackson Dart
And it's got me to this point in my career. So I think it would kind of be foolish for me to just be like, hey, I'm going to change myself and play like a pocket passer or play completely different. It was, yeah, I took some hits for sure. And there's Definitely, like moments where you're like, all right, I got to be smarter in this situation and, and whatnot. I think that's just a maturing thing and continuing to grow. But at the same time, like, I've said this, like, people are going to take hits. I mean, there's a lot of quarterbacks who've taken a lot of big hits that people weren't talking about media, media wise. And it was kind of just a narrative that got out about me. But, you know, I just want to make like something clear. Like, I played big time football for four or five years and I've missed two games. So when you, when you look at an availability standpoint, I'm out there for my team and I'm somebody that you can count on. But definitely just continue to be smart in situations. But when there's a crucial moment or time where our team needs to make a play, like, I'm gonna make sure that I give it all.
Matthew Berry
So you've obviously played big time football in the sec, and then you go to New York where the Martin market's crazy, the fans are crazy, but going back to your play style, it feels like you ingrained yourself in the fan base so quickly. I've been in New York my whole life. The excitement around you when you took over as the starter has not been seen for New York football. It feels like in so long. What was it like for you with fans recognizing you everywhere? Like, how fast and how quick it turned? I don't know. Ole Miss, you got a lot of attention, but what was the attention like being an NFL high level quarterback in New York City?
Jackson Dart
It's definitely New York City.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, it's starving for it.
Jackson Dart
Yeah, I know. First of all, like, I've loved my time, you know, so far just being like ingrained into the culture, the east coast, like the chip on their shoulder. Like, people don't care. They're just who they are. Right. And I love that part of it. I love how competitive the environment is. Like, you know, everybody has the highest standard of winning and at times, you know, it can, it can come off a little strong or whatnot. But I think this as a competitor, like, there's not a better place to be. Like, if that's a standard that you hold for yourself, you know, you want to be surrounded by that, involved in that. So I've loved my time and excited for the future.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, you've become a star in New York, but also, so is your mom. How's your mom dealing with your mom? Has become a Star in her own right.
Matthew Berry
Shoot.
Jackson Dart
I've always viewed her as a star. No, she's amazing. She's been just so supportive, you know, from a parent standpoint, like, I've been how I see. I've been blessed with the best, and they've been, you know, by my side at every game since I was just a little kid in any sort of. So it's great to have them just knowing that they got my back no matter what. And it's been fun, too, to, you know, make outfits with my mom and kind of have that relationship between us. So she's amazing.
Matthew Berry
Doing a fantasy show. Some of the most fun we had this year was the bro combo of you and Cam Scatterboo. We leaned into that. Cam became a fantasy star as soon as he started getting the ball more. You became a fantasy star as soon as you became the starting quarterback. How quickly did you two mesh? Obviously, different college programs, but it felt like you hit it off right away, way as rookies.
Jackson Dart
No, it was. It was immediate between us, like OTA's level. Like, I'm talking about, like, when he got drafted, we got on the FaceTime call 30 minutes after, and immediately we just clicked. I love his. His energy, his passion for the game. He's just a savage out there on the field. Like, you know, he can. He raises the bar for everybody around him. Just brings a certain demeanor, mentality that everybody just wants to be a part of and makes everybody around him better. So I can't wait for him. He's going to be healthy here soon, and, you know, I can. He's gonna be a guy that we can count on for a long time.
Connor Rogers
So you're here with us. Thanks to Pepsi Zero Sugar, and you're a finalist for NFL Rookie of the Year. Congratulations, by the way, and good luck. So talk to me about your partnership with Pepsi Zero Sugar.
Jackson Dart
Yeah, I mean, first of all, the jacket's sick. I gotta comment on it again. Can I get one around here, too?
Matthew Berry
But you wanna do a Jersey swap?
Jackson Dart
No, but it's great. I think it was just that as a. As a kid like you, you watch these things and Pepsi's just been. Pepsi Zero Sugar has been around for so long. Right. And it's just something that you've been wanting to be a part of, and it was just organic from the start. So excited for this and excited for the partnership.
Connor Rogers
Well, Jackson, last thing for you. So our show, Fantasy Football Happy Hour. I'm sure you're a big fan, but Fantasy Football Happy Hour. So have you ever played fantasy football?
Jackson Dart
I did before I got to the league.
Trey McBride
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
Do you remember the last time you played somebody who was on your team?
Jackson Dart
Geez, it's crazy because now I'm out there on the field and, you know, I'm looking at guys and I'm like, he did great for my fantasy, like three years ago, so.
Connor Rogers
Well, just take it from an old pro. Don't tell them that. Players don't tend not to like that. But what I would say is. So anyway, fantasy football happy hour.
CD Lamb
We.
Connor Rogers
Our set is normally in a bar, and we play a lot of bar games as well, so one of the things we do is beer pong. Don't know if you ever played this at college. Bringing you in for a slub shot. Let's go.
Jackson Dart
You're all right.
Matthew Berry
It was right on.
Connor Rogers
I don't have another one. I was gonna give you another shot. Very close. Very close. Well, listen, man, we. We appreciate you. Thank you for. For making me look smart. Thank you. It's not easy to do. Connor will tell you.
Matthew Berry
I try every day. I'm exhausted.
Bijan Robinson
Yeah.
Matthew Berry
It's my job. Part of my job, so. You made it a lot easier and we appreciate you for that.
Connor Rogers
We appreciate it. So. So congratulations on a great rookie season. We're looking forward to seeing next year. Good luck to you and the Giants.
Jackson Dart
Yeah. Thank you guys for taking the time.
Matthew Berry
Cool.
Connor Rogers
Jackson dart, everyone. The Dartler. Oh, yeah.
Lawrence Jackson
There we go.
Connor Rogers
Hang on. Wait, wait, hang on. Let me. Let me roll on this in case you nail it.
Bijan Robinson
All right, go ahead.
Connor Rogers
They're rolling on it. Oh, let's go. Oh, let's go. Easy money, easy money. Come on.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
What a full season. A full healthy season with Kyler Murray.
Jackson Dart
Yeah.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
Give me a little stat prediction. What the numbers gonna be looking like around there.
Trey McBride
Yeah, we need to get over a thousand, right? We get over 100 catches in a thousand yards. So that's like, that's the goal. You know, we want to get that thousand yard season and. And hopefully we're scoring 10 or 15 touchdowns, too. That's. That's the goal, Trey.
Connor Rogers
111 receptions. So check. You got that done. 1146 for saving yards. Check. Got that done. Not the 10 to 15 touchdowns, but that's all right.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
Those numbers that you predicted for yourself last year, you did that in 15 games. You spoke it into existence.
Trey McBride
Yeah.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
So let's do it again. Call your shot again for the 2025 season.
Trey McBride
I kind of like what I said last year. I like the hundred thousand and ten. I think I'M gonna stick with that.
Connor Rogers
All right. Back on the Panis happy hour desk as our interviews continue. Lawrence Jackson, Matthew Berry, a of lot with fantasy football superstar Trey McBride. And Trey, we just showed it to you, right? And you called it. You said 100 receptions, thousand yards, 10 touchdowns. You blew by all those numbers. 126 receptions over 1200 yards, 11 touchdowns in 2025. I guess my first question is, is it our. Is it. Do we deserve credit? Honestly?
Bijan Robinson
Yeah, definitely.
Trey McBride
A little bit. For sure. You know, you guys, you know, had me call my shot. I called my shot and, you know, I give. Give all the credit to you guys, for sure.
Connor Rogers
Look, I appreciate that. I think you contributed as well. I feel like it's a team effort, Trey.
Matthew Berry
For sure, for sure.
Connor Rogers
I think all of us, all of us got there as well. So congratulations. You were, I don't know how much this comes into your life, but you were the number one titan in fantasy football. But more importantly, you were not only the number one tight end in fantasy football, you were the number one titan in fantasy football by a wide margin. So everyone that was smart enough to draft you got a massive advantage every single week because of your production. Does that come up a lot?
Trey McBride
Definitely. A lot of people, you know, either love me or hate me because I was either on their team or I went against them every week. So it's. It's kind of one of those funny things that fantasy football is really taking off and people, people love me this year. So it was, it was pretty cool.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
And, and with all that being said, right, this year, you kind of prove we. You, you came into this season already one of the top tight ends this year, but this year proved that, you know, your quarterback proof, Kyler Murray went down with the injury. You had the veterans step in. Jacoby Brissette. What did that quarterback change feel like to you and like, how did it affect your game? Did you approach it the same? Because the passing game seemed to open up a little more. Did you feel that it did that?
Trey McBride
You know, it was obviously one of those things. It didn't matter who was back there. I was going to keep doing the same thing. I was going to keep getting open and be friendly to those guys. So. So it didn't really change for me who was back there. I just wanted to make plays for whoever it was. And Jacoby came in, he knew the offense very well and was able to sling that thing around. And we had a lot of success together.
Connor Rogers
You know, it definitely felt like the Cardinals offense became different under Jacoby Pressette, obviously they're different. They're different type players. Jacoby much more of a pocket passer, obviously Kyler does a lot more off schedule stuff. But like, was there. Did the offense change or was it just because of. Of their different players that it looked a little different?
Trey McBride
I think it's just that they're different players. We were running the same plays. We were maybe doing a little less quarterback run, things like that, because that's not Jacoby's game. But other than that, man, the offense was the exact same. I think Jacoby just was able to get in there and run it the exact same way. It was just unfortunate. We were down in a lot of games and had to throw a lot and I think that's maybe why it looked that way. But it was the same offense. We were doing the same thing and Jacoby did a great job doing it it.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
And speaking of all that, like you, we, we kind of like what you did this season was no shock to us and like literally us specifically. Yeah, but you weren't the only 1000 yard receiver on the team. Michael Wilson stepped up. He broke out this season for sure. Like kind of tell listeners and viewers like, where did that come from? Did you guys know that was in him? And like, where do you see a player like him going?
Trey McBride
Mike, man, he's one of the hardest working guys I've seen. So to me there was no surprise the success that he was having. He's always the first guy out on the practice field catching balls, staying the latest. He works extremely hard. So to me there was no surprise and I'm just glad that he was able to get his opportunity. You know, a lot of this league is getting opportunity and being able to show what you can do and he got his opportunity and was able to take it and run with it.
Connor Rogers
All right, so new head coach. Obviously a lot of changes in Arizona this off season. Michael Fluor named your head coach. Have you had a chance? I know he just got there, but has he reached out? Have you had a chance to talk to Mike at all?
Trey McBride
Yeah, I was able to see him on one of his interview days before he got hired. Was able to chat with him then and then obviously as soon as he got that head coaching job, was able to give him a FaceTime call with him and things like that. So extremely excited about what he brings to the table, the offense that he has. He's had a lot of success in this division that we're playing in and I'm excited to see what he can do with all the weapons that we have there in Arizona?
Connor Rogers
Yeah, I would think. Has he, as he. Did he talked to you at all about, listen, you're going to be up. Any offense you're on, you're going to be a significant part of it as well. But I would think, you know, it's kind of seeing, you know, seeing what George Kittle has done, seeing what he's done with tight ends at other stops in his career, kind of. I would be excited, I think, for sure, if I had your talent.
Trey McBride
I'm. I'm extremely excited. I think, you know, he does one of the most Highest percentage of 13 personnel in the league. So as a tight end, that's, you know, a dream of ours. So we're just trying to get as many of us out on the field as we can, and. And we have so many good players in that room. So excited to see, you know, all the. The ways he's going to distribute the ball.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
Now, you, Trey, you mentioned, you know, Mike LaFleur winning games in that division. Right. So speaking of your division.
Trey McBride
Yeah.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
It's the toughest in football. There's literally no doubt about that. There's three teams in the playoffs, two playing each other in the NFC championship. Yeah, we know what you guys are capable of offensively. We know you could put up the numbers. What will it take, new coach, new situation. What will it take y' all to get over the hump as a team?
Trey McBride
Yeah, I think a lot of it is, you know, we're in every single game, we're right there. We, you know, going into the fourth quarter, we're right there, one score game. And I think the thing about it, we just got to make that one play to, to get us over the hump. And, and the last year we were losing that one play and, you know, the other team was getting the advantage. We'd miss a kick, we'd fumble a ball, whatever it was. We just got to make that one play in the fourth quarter, whatever it is, to. To get us over the hump. And I think we make that play, we win a couple of those close games, and it's a totally different season.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
All right?
Trey McBride
So, yeah, prediction, obviously, man, it's hard to. Hard to cheer for those, you know, rivals. So I would love for. For Drake May and those guys to just come out slinging and win.
Connor Rogers
I don't blame you.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
Like we do every year on this show. We gotta go. We gotta predict the stats, but not just ballpark, because you. You knock that out the part every year Give us like an exact number now. Cause it's like you say hundred, you.
Connor Rogers
Nailed it three years in a row.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
So give us like exact numbers, yards, and let's see how close you could come to that in 2026.
Trey McBride
Man, I had a great year this year, and that's going to obviously career year. It's going to be tough to beat, so I'm going to have to just lower the mark from this year a little bit. Let's, you know, what did we have? 126. So let's meet kind of in the middle. Let's go 110 catches. I would love to, you know. And let's go.
Bijan Robinson
Fifth.
Trey McBride
Not. Let's go 11. 1150. 1150 yards. And I like 10 touchdowns.
Connor Rogers
All right, I like that. All right, well, before we, before we get you out of here, we got to ask you about Rock and Protein and your partnership with them. Tell us what that's all about.
Trey McBride
Yeah, I mean, I've been with these guys for a few years. They're an Arizona, you know, based company, and they just honestly, they came out with this new flavor here I got here. It's a chocolate banana. It's, you know, chocolate was my favorite flavor flavor. And then they came out with this little banana hit. And it's, it's unbelievable. Doesn't leave that chalky taste that most of the. The protein companies do in your mouth. So. Wonderful Protein company. Tastes awesome. And it's, it's always sold cold, so it's, it's nice and crispy when it goes down. So.
Connor Rogers
Love it. Let's. Thank you. Rockin protein. And yes, good luck with the. With.
Lawrence Jackson
It's.
Connor Rogers
Chocolate banana.
Trey McBride
Chocolate banana. Man, that little banana kick is. Is unreal. You know, after a workout, after a lift, whatever, it gets you recharged. Ready to go for sure.
Connor Rogers
No doubt. So, as you know, Trey, because you've been on the show for a number of years, so our show, Fancy Will Happy Hour. When we're not on Radio Row, we actually take place in a bar. Like our set is a bar. And so as part of the show, we do a number of beer games. We played flip club and flip cup and everything like that. So I have a beer pong shot right here, you know, and we're asking for a. Oops. We're asking for a celeb shot, you know, when you bring somebody in. So Jackson Dart has hit it, just so you know.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
Did you do this at Colorado State?
Trey McBride
I did, but it's been a few years now here. Let's see. Let's see if I can make it happen here.
Connor Rogers
Oh, one more shot.
Trey McBride
Just a little left.
Bijan Robinson
Off the rim.
Lawrence Jackson
Off the rim.
Trey McBride
Two off the rim. Two off the rim.
Connor Rogers
All right, so didn't hit the shot, but you did hit your numbers. Once again, for the third year in a row, the number one titan in fantasy football. Number one titan for the Cardinals. F. NFL superstar, star, fantasy football legend, and friend of the show, good friend of the show, Trey McBride. Thank you so much.
Trey McBride
Yeah, thank you, guys, man. I'll. I'll see you guys again next year.
Connor Rogers
Absolutely. Continued success to you, my friend. We have your. By the way, we have your jersey. Like, I don't know if you've ever seen our show. I should, like, I'll send you a screenshot. But, like, we have your jersey. We have, we have jerseys of, like, you know, players that we're all fans of on our wall. That's cool. And so your. Your jersey's hanging on our wall. That's cool. And anytime you're, anytime your name on the show comes up, we're always like, friend of the show.
Trey McBride
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
Trey McBride. That's what we're talking about.
Trey McBride
That's awesome, man. I appreciate that.
Connor Rogers
All right.
Lawrence Jackson
Much love, my friend.
Trey McBride
Yeah, I appreciate you guys so much. Yep.
Connor Rogers
Interviews from Radio Row continue at the Fantasy World happy hour desk. Lawrence Jackson, Matthew Berry with Ashton Genty. Thank you, by the way, to our friends at Applebee's for making you available to us for a few minutes here. Ashton, from Boise State to Las Vegas, that is, from Idaho to Las Vegas, that's. That's quite the transition. Talk to me about, talk to me about your. What's the biggest lesson you learned from your first year as a pro?
Ashton Gentry
Yeah, I mean, it's been quite the switch, for sure. But I think the biggest lesson is to keep your mental right, you know, because that controls everything that you do, how you view everything, how you come into work. And a lot of times as a young man, we don't think about our mental health because that's a very important thing. And throughout the season, man, it was very tough because I've never lost that much in my life. So I was really struggling some days, but it took a lot. But I was able to get to the right place in the right space and finish the season strong.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
And you talk about those tough times. Right. Obviously, football, the ultimate team game. Now, last season when you was on this show, you told me, you know what? I want to go out. I want to have 1500 yards. Well, you got almost 1400 yards. So with all that stuff being said, man, how would you grade yourself on your rookie season, and what will you be doing to improve upon that?
Ashton Gentry
Yeah, I would. I'd give myself, like, a B.
Matthew Berry
Okay.
Jackson Dart
I think I do.
Ashton Gentry
Did pretty solid. Definitely a lot of areas to improve, I think, for sure. Pass protection. Just being able to analyze those exotic looks and see when they're coming, know when it happens, know what call the quarterback's gonna make. Right. And then from, like, a past game perspective, I think just continuing to get better at my routes and reading coverages. Right. To be on the same page with the quarterback. And then the run game's. The run game. Just continuing to build that chemistry with my own line and just get a better flow of how, you know, the game goes.
Connor Rogers
It felt like last year, you know, it was inconsistent in terms of them using it, using you. In the past game, which we talked about, it was so weird because you. That is a big part of your game. That is something that you can do. Is that something that you've tried to talk to the team? I know there's all sorts of questions about who's going to be coaching next year. We think. We think it's going to be one guy. We don't know for sure. We're still figuring all that out. But, you know, is that a part of your game that you're. You're hoping that the Raiders use more extensively next year?
Ashton Gentry
Definitely. And I think, you know, with what I was able to put together, you know, near the end of the season, you know, to kind of show that I'm a guy that you can rely on in the past game, I really do hope so. And like you said, it has been a part of my game that's been overlooked, and especially because my junior at Boise State, you know, I only had probably, like, 20 receptions, you know, not sophomore year, though, but sophomore year.
Connor Rogers
Right.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
That's.
Ashton Gentry
That's when I really was able to show. So it's definitely there, and I hope it's utilized.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
You. You utilize it a lot versus the Houston Texans this year. We all know that's top one two defense in the league. Like, what the hell clicked that game? Because you was using the receiving game, the running game, 188 yards from scrimmage, two touchdowns. What clicked that game that got you to go off like that?
Ashton Gentry
Yeah, I think it was just, like, the mentality and the confidence coming into the game. And, like, don't think about, you know, what play they might call. If they call this, they call that. Just, you know, when the ball snaps. Execute, right? And just the preparation leading up. And then I was back home in Texas, you know, back in the humidity. I was feeling good.
Matthew Berry
Right, right, exactly.
Connor Rogers
I get that. Hey, Ashley, last thing here, our. Our show, Happy Hour, takes place in a bar normally, so we've been asking everyone to do a celebrity pong shot here. I don't know if you ever played beer pong at. At Boise State.
Ashton Gentry
They do get down a little bit.
Connor Rogers
All right, can you. Can you do that for us?
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
Stand up.
Connor Rogers
Take it. Take a shot here real quickly.
Ashton Gentry
I get one shot.
Connor Rogers
You get one shot. Celebrity shot.
Ashton Gentry
Celebrity shot.
Connor Rogers
Oh, one more, one more. Give one more shot. Oh, he hit the rim.
Matthew Berry (alternate or guest)
He hit real well.
Connor Rogers
Listen, Ashton, you're here thanks to Applebee's as well. So we're so appreciative of. Of our friends at Applebee's Grill and Bar. You want to talk about your partnership real quickly before we get out of here?
Ashton Gentry
Yeah. So Applebee's, of course, the official grilling bar, sponsor of the NFL. And, you know, right now, you know, the super bowl coming up, you know, we don't want anybody to do too much. You know, just relax, order you some boneless wings, you know, kick it back. They got a great deal going. You can enter the code sbwings26. You can get 20 free bonus wings, but you got to spend $40 first, though.
Connor Rogers
All right, there you go. But we like that promo code. We like Applebee's here, and we definitely like Ash and Genti. Congratulations on a strong rookie season. We're looking forward to seeing what you do next year. Thank you so much.
Matthew Berry

Time for last call and no other way to end the week here at Radio Row. We got to make an actual pick for this game. Each have a prop for this game. Jay, I am taking the Seahawks to win. I don't like the spread in this game. I think this will be a close game. The more interesting play I have is, I think, a plus 350. I think Rashid Shahid scores a touchdown in this game, and there's a lot of ways he could do it. Punt return, kick return, jet Sweep, long pass, plus 350. I'm looking for a little bit of a value play. I think Shahid gets in the end Zone.
Lawrence Jackson
Yeah, no, I like that. I think that there's a material chance that Mike Vrabel goes the Brian Flores route of just like jsn. You will not be beating us.
Connor Rogers
And the Bill Belichick. Belichick. I mean, again, he played for Belichick, who Belichick's whole thing is, I'm going to cut the head off the snake. I'm going to. I'm taking away whatever your best option is.
Lawrence Jackson
Yeah. So I think that's possible. I don't think you can really take JSN out of the game. He's just too good. But certainly Rashid Shahid, who showed those flashes against the Rams, that early long pass, feels like he's getting more acclimated to the offense.
Trey McBride
I agree.
Lawrence Jackson
I think Seattle will win. The line is very efficient. It's difficult to beat the super bowl line. There's a lot of money in forming that line line. I would lean Pats plus four and a half because this Nick Em and worry injury is a little concerning for me.
Trey McBride
It is.
Lawrence Jackson
He is, you know, everyone says, like he's arguably the most important player on that defense just because of his versatility, all the different roles that he fills, the fact that he allows them to play in nickel and light personnel, yet also be the best rush defense in the NFL. So I think that is a little bit of a concern if he's going to be compromised. But where I would lean at the major markets is under 45 and up half. We forget that Sam Donald over the second half of the season wasn't as good as he was over the first half. Now he had that amazing game against the Rams, which makes us forget a bit. But this Patriots defense is healthy. I think it's really good.
Bijan Robinson
I think Milton Williams back.
Lawrence Jackson
It's an elite run defense and so I think that it will be a low scoring game.
Matthew Berry
Matthew, it's a little different for you. Stakes are a little different. We opened the show talking about how excited and honored you are to be the first fantasy analyst on a Super bowl pregame. And you should be really proud of that as we are of you. It's going to be amazing. But with that comes great responsibility.
Lawrence Jackson
Yes, that's what you.
Matthew Berry
You've done this on FNIA all year. But this is different. What is it like preparing to make picks and center in on something for the Super Bowl?
Lawrence Jackson
This is your legacy.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, this is it. And. And it's nerve wracking is the answer. Nerve wracking because to your point, it's a highly efficient market like There's. There. Everyone's focused on one game. And so. So during the season, there's so many markets and so many games, and you can try to find some inefficiencies or a line that you don't agree with, but here, all the lines are pretty solid. And so again, you try not to think about, like, no big deal, but literally 50 million people are going to watch me make this pick, right? And so try to keep that out of your mind. I haven't zeroed out on anything. People have been like, oh, what's your pick? I'm like, I am still. Still crunching the numbers, doing the research.
Lawrence Jackson
My advice is not particularly analytical and perhaps not optimized, but to choose a bet where you're comfortable dying with that guy. Don't die with George Holani, right? Don't die with, like, Pop Douglas at some, you know, line price on the tanks, like, choose a guy you're willing to go down with.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, no, I. I completely agree with that. You know, that's one of the things that I said to Damien, like, you know, like, Jake Bobo, point over. Over point five receiving yards we're not doing. You know what I mean? Like, that's really right, because again, like, if you sort of say, like, and I'm not, I don't. Because I agree. I think they're going to try to take away jsn. But, like, if I was going to say, like, give me JSN's over and he doesn't hit it, like, all right, well, at least I went down swinging with jsn, right? I'm not going to. Right. You know, so it will be. It will be players that I believe in for sure. Same with Ken. Like, Ken Walker, I do think we'll see if he gets to 19 carries, but I think he's going to have a big part in this game, or they want him to.
Matthew Berry
All right, that's it for us in San.
Connor Rogers
That is it for us. Thank you for Radio Row. Thank you to all of our guests. Thank you to Lawrence Jackson. You don't have to go home, but you can stay here for Jay and Connor. Watch me on the Super Bowl Sunday. Peace out.
