Lawrence
berry with the first pick of Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft, the 49ers select Matthew DeJon Stribling out of Ole Miss to add to that San Francisco wide receiver room that already added Mike Evans as well as Christian Kirk and has Ricky Piersol. It's a crowded room now. Where does it. Where. How do we see this as a fit from. For a fantasy impact?
Matthew Berry
Yeah, Lawrence, that's the point, right? Is this is like, who knows? I would be lying if I sit here and say like, oh, this guy's definitely going to be this. He's definitely going to be that. Because it's a Kyle Shanahan offense where they like to spread the ball around. Is he going to get more targets than Mike Evans? He is not, no. But after Mike Evans, it's kind of wide open. Remember, George Kittle has that Achilles. We don't know when he's going to come back. We kind of like Jake Tongas. But come on, let's be clear. Christian Kirk always hurt. Mike Evans has a challenge to stay healthy. Ricky Pearsall honestly hasn't proven himself in a long way. So there's a real opportunity here for Stribling to come in and prove himself A little bit early in the draft for me, I thought. But the fact of the matter is, is that if you're in a Kyle Shanahan offense and you can get the ball, fantasy points can follow. So I think he become. When you think about the draft capital and the fact that there's no other than Evans, there's certainly opportunity for Stribling to make a mark.
Lawrence
Yeah. And the thing you brought up was the injuries. All of their top three receivers have an injury history. So for Stribling, he's going to get an opportunity. When you're the first pick in the second round, that's what they're doing. And we know Kyle Shanahan, he don't play about that. Now Stribling himself, he's not the most explosive athlete, but he is a good outside receiver who's good at the line of scrimmage. So. And he's not shy. He's not shy about going up to make the catch. He's not scared to go over the middle things of that nature. So he fits well with this offense. So it'll just be a. It will just be a question of when does he get his opportunity and what does that opportunity look like.
Matthew Berry
Makes you think that maybe they're nervous about getting Juwan Jennings back. Who's A free agent. So again, more depth for Brock purdy and this 49ers offense that has a crowded room, but a room, as you mentioned Lawrence, that has a lot of injury history there. So Stribling could get his chance sooner rather than later. New Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken comes from an offensive side of the ball. Former offense coordinator. Round one he goes out and gets Casey Concepcion and then round two he goes out and gets a guy that we all thought would go a lot earlier in wide receiver, Denzel Boston.
Lawrence
Yeah, definitely Matthew, he was a first round talent to me and we thought he'd go there but hey, better, better late than never. And look, he's 6'4,210 and for a guy that big you don't think like good routes. But Denzel Boston could do that. But what he does do is he uses that big body and he's great at doing that versus man coverage. He's got strong hands. When you get in that red area he's got, he's the guy you're looking for. He had 11 receiving touchdowns this year, but yet he didn't have a thousand yards. So that lets you know that when they get down there they're looking to throw him up the ball. But as far as Cleveland's receivers goes, I think it's going to be more of like a, like get in where you fit in. Some guys will have certain weeks, other guys will have good weeks, certain weeks. So it'll go like that.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, I mean as we talked about, I think really nice fit because Boston a 50, 50 ball winner. He's a big guy. Concepcion, they can use gadget plays, they can put him in the backfield as well. They get he's got the speed. Then you think about Harold Fannin, nice young player they found last year and suddenly this Cleveland Browns offense becoming pretty interesting. Who's their quarterback? It's right now we think it's going to be Chadur Sanders, but we don't know. But whoever the quarterback is of the Browns, there's going to be some toys to play with here. We know they want to be a little bit run heavy with Quinshon Judkins, Jerry Judy, Cedric Tillman is still there. So I don't know that Denzel Boston is somebody that you're going to be drafting in normal sized redraft leagues. But I bet you we're talking about him during waiver wire segments throughout the year because he's an immediate red zone threat and, and there's no established number one guy there that you say like, well, there's no way he's getting targets. I think it's going to take him a little bit of time, but long term, this is a great landing spot.
Lawrence
It's a great pair, those two guys. Yeah, KC and Denzel.
Matthew Berry
Great landing spot for Denzel. Boston Roll Tide. Jeremy Bernard is now a Pittsburgh Steeler Lawrence Steelers, of course, in round one, famously tried to get Makai Lemon. The Eagles move up and steal him from him. So in the second round they get a wide receiver in Bernard from Alabama. And I think fantasy wise, this seems like a good opportunity because there's not a ton of wide receivers in Pittsburgh. They've obviously got Metcalf and Pittman.
Lawrence
Yeah, you got Metcalf and Pittman. The thing that'll work for Bernard here is that he's a different type of receiver than those two guys. Right. Jeremy Benard, very versatile player. Great hand, strong player. What he does well too, Matthew, is he's a great blocker, so that'll get you on the field. Like when you're running back, you could pass, probably they put you on the field, but also what he could do, he gets a lot of reverses, he can run out of the backfield, he gets carries, all those type of things like that. You use him in motion, kind of like how the Rams use Puka Nukua in that effect. So he's that type of player. So he could have a point where he gets a role in this offense. I just don't know that he'll be able to get that type of volume when you have DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman there already.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, I mean, I think that's the thing. I think in redraft leagues you're not drafting this guy, but I think this is a pretty good landing spot when it comes to Dynasty. And there's a. That in deeper PPR leagues, we're talking about him as a waiver wire pickup because you've got Michael Pittman who could play the slot, but you could certainly see a scenario where you've got Metcalf and Pittman on the outside and Bernard's playing in the slot. If Aaron Rodgers comes back to Pittsburgh, then all of a sudden you think about low average depth of target. You know, Rodgers isn't throwing deep these days and so you could see Bernard getting some PPR points, but at best he'd be the third passing option in this offense. But he balls at best, but right. You've also got the tight end starting with Friarmouth, you've got Jalen Warren, Rico Dowdle out of the backfield. So look, I think long term, very nice landing spot for, for Bernard, although redraft leagues are probably ignoring him and waiting to see. But long term, we really like it. Roll Tide. For an Eagles offense that was bottom 10 in pass attempts last year, they sure are adding to that passing offense this season. Makai Lemon in the first round and then Howie Roseman and his team go out and get the Mackey Award winner.
Lawrence
Yeah.
Matthew Berry
Eli Stowers, the tight end of Vanderbilt in the second round. He's a big guy. He's not really a typical tight end. Freak athlete, but not a big blocker. Lawrence, what do the Eagles get here fantasy wise? How do you see him fitting in this offense?
Lawrence
First, talking about freak athlete, he broke the combine record for tight ends for vertical jump and broad jump along with a four five one in the 40 yard dash. So he's more of an athletic tight end. You like him to be more physical and aggressive when it comes to the run game but this guy's a former quarterback, Matthew, so he, he, he, he's not. He doesn't run great routes but he knows how to find his spots in the zone and run after the catch is above average for a tight end. The Eagles, about a decade ago, about 10 years ago, they had a guy named Trey Burton. Remember him? He was a, he was a former quarterback as well that the Eagle used on the Eagles used on a lot of gadget plays. They even had him throw the ball a little bit but they found ways to get him the ball. I could see the Eagles doing that with Eli now, but it'll be Dallas Goddard still. He's on the one, he's on the one year contract. But with Dallas Goddard coming off an 11 touchdown season, they're still going to rely on him because he's the blocker.
Matthew Berry
That's the point. I mean look, it's a one year deal. This is an amazing landing spot for Eli Stowers when it comes to Dynasty Goddard on the one year deal. Also by the way, Goddard has dealt with injuries throughout his career, so some nice insurance there. But you're right, Stowers doesn't block. Goddard does. Again, it's a crowded room. Right. We talked about this. Makai Lemon, Don, Tavian Wicks, Hollywood Brown, not to mention Devonta Smith on a team again that was bottom 10 in pass attempts last year. So ultimately love the landing spot. I don't think you're touching him in redraft. I think he's a late flyer, you know He's a low end tight end too in redraft. But ultimately if you're a dynasty manager, Stowers, this is an amazing thing and just somebody to keep an eye on because given Goddard's injury history, you could see Stowers on the field more than you think. Giga Maggies Listen, I grew up in Con Texas. I'm allowed to say it. I'm also allowed to say Nate Borking, second round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars Duvall. Now the Jaguars have a crowded pass catching room here, Lawrence. So I don't know that there's a ton of fantasy value immediately for Nate Borkicher, but how does he fit into this Jacksonville offense?
Lawrence
Yeah, so I think they're looking for right now. Matthew is def that tight end behind Breton Strange. That's what they're looking. Nate Borchester didn't have a lot of stats caught under 20 passes this past year in college, but he does have the ability to catch the ball in short to intermediate areas. He's like a box out type of catcher. He could use his body in that way. The other thing about him, he'll play his rookie year as a 25 year old. So he's a little bit on the older end. I think this is.
Matthew Berry
Don't say anything bad about all those guys.
Lawrence
Come on, I'm older guy myself.
Matthew Berry
Yes sir.
Lawrence
So I think this is all about getting depth at the tight end position. They lack that behind Britton Strange.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, and Strange of course hurt last year as well. And so look, the fact of the matter is he's a good blocker. He's an inline tight end as well. And so as they continue to develop this offense, Travis Hunter going to play more defense this year. You know Brian Thomas Jr. Has dealt with injuries as well. So good depth also. Again, it's going to help the run game. Know that there's a ton of redraft fantasy value here, but should Breton Strange move on? Interesting. I think he makes the Jaguars offense overall better, but probably somebody that you're not necessarily taking in redraft fantasy football this year. All right, stop me if you've heard of this one before, but the Rams drafted a tight end. Max Claire from Ohio State joins Colby Parkinson, Terrence Ferguson, Davis Allen, Tyler Higby, number five tight end for the Rams that are in win now mode. But they draft their fifth tight end after they drafted back four.
Lawrence
You get a tight end, you get a tight end, you get a tight end, tight end.
Matthew Berry
So we'll talk about the fantasy value eventually for Max Claire. But at least Lawrence, the player is a hell of a player.
Lawrence
Yeah, he's a good player. Played at Purdue and at Ohio State his last year. More like a flex tight end. The type of guy you could put him in the slot, you put him away from the line, he does his work there. He's got good, soft hands. A lot of the things, some of the things you like about him is what you liked about Ferguson coming out last year. And so, I mean, hey, they go right back to the well again and make this tight end room even deeper. So it's questionable to me for a team right now win now mode when you take the quarterback so high. Now you draft a tight end when you have 22 of them already. So from a fantasy perspective, it's real questionable how it's going to work.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, I just can't imagine. I mean, like, he could have a ton of value. We have seen Colby Parkinson have moments. We've seen, seen all of these guys. We've seen obviously, you know, Higby a couple years ago. We've seen all these guys have moments. And the Rams, I think, run more multiple tight end sets than almost any team in the NFL. They love to mix and match this. So I actually think it's like he's somebody that can be productive. We like the player a lot. And I'll never question a Sean McVay offense. We know he's going to find ways to use his guys, but fantasy value wise, like for people like me in drafts that drafted Max Claire thinking he was going to go be a starting tight end in the NFL, think that's happening this year. And I just, again, they've got a lot of young tight ends, so, you know, good depth for the Rams, but terrible for fantasy value this year. Second and goal from the three down, three snap to Beck. Looking center now. He's going to run for it. Beck is into the end zone. Touchdown. 18 seconds to go and Carson Beck trying to run the Hurricanes back home to Miami for a championship game. Fantasy success comes from two things and really two things only, talent and opportunity. Carson Beck goes to a place where he's going to have an opportunity for a third round quarterback. First pick in the third round, Carson Beck goes to a team in Arizona where only Jacoby Brissett the veteran is really ahead of him. He's probably the quarterback of the future for the Cardinals. So the question now is about the talent. Lawrence.
Lawrence
Yeah, so some of the things he does well is he's got good touch on the ball in like the short to intermediate area, um, there. The reason he goes in the third round is because there could be some inconsistencies with the accuracy. But he's kind of like closer to like one of those throwback quarterbacks. You're not going to see him running the ball a lot. He works well, his best under center. He's good at play action there. And you talked about him getting that chance. I mean, the Cardinals, for as good as Jacoby Brissette played last year, they weren't winning those games. They were always in a lot of shootouts that they lost. So it makes me wonder, like what. At what point does Carson Beck get that chance? If the Cardinals aren't. If they don't have a good record at that time by using the first
Matthew Berry
pick of the third round, it's clearly he's their quarterback of the future. And you're absolutely right. If the season doesn't go the way the Cardinals are hoping, at what point do they turn the. Turn the offense over to Carson Beck? And look, you say he doesn't run, but in, in deep leagues and super flex dynasty leagues and two quarterback leagues if he were to get the start. Trey McBride, Marvin Harrison, Michael Wilson, Jeremiah Love, like, there's a lot of talent. They're trying to improve the offensive line. There's a lot of talent on Carson Beck, who you could see being somebody we talk about in the season on a waiver wire again for deep leagues or, or, or bye week. So unbelievable landing spot for Carson Beck, who doesn't have any immediate redraft value, but dynasty stock way up. Lawrence, it's been a tough day for my dynasty team because, you know, I do the drafts before the NFL draft. Sam Roush was one of the guys that I really liked. Connor Rodgers, our buddy Connor Rodgers had Sam Roush as the number two titan in this class. He goes to the Chicago Bears that have a couple of good tight ends, but this guy is a massive guy and a good inline blocker.
Lawrence
Yeah, that's where they'll look to try to use him there as Colston Loveland. He'll. He's obviously the receiving tight end. You got Cole Komet, who he may not be. We don't know how long he'll be with the team. But for Sam Roush, he's actually a nice little athlete. He knows where to. He knows where to find his spots in the zone. Ran a 47 in the 40, which is pretty damn good for a guy 260 pounds. But for now, at this point, your dynasty shares and everyone else have who has Sam Rush. It'll probably have to wait. But the fact that they're taking him in the third round means they see something in him to where they like him for the future.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, I think no fantasy value in redraft leagues this year again because he's behind Loveland and Comet. But I will say because he is such a good blocker, this is going to free up Colson Loveland to do more routes. They probably play those guys together. It's also going to help the run game. We know a Ben Johnson offense needs to be able to run the ball to set up play action to set up the passing attack as well. And so again they can move off Cole commit after this year. I think if Sam Rausch proves hey he can be a guy then I think they move off Comet after this year and my dynasty shares feel a little bit better but much better player than fantasy football redraft pick for this year, Sam Rausch, now member of the Chicago Bears. Hail the Commanders. Hail victory. Antonio Williams, now a member of my team, the Washington Commanders. Future super bowl champion Antonio Williams. I'm sure of it. Lawrence, we talk about it all the time. You need talent and opportunity to have fantasy success. The opportunity is amazing after Terry McLaurin. Look at the wide receiver room and the Commanders as we sit here today. Traylon Burks, Luke McCaffrey, Diamond Brown, like there's not a lot there that says wow, there's no way this guy gets on the field. Profiles as a slot receiver probably for this offense. And Jaden Daniels. So that's the opportunity. Talk to me about the talent tough guy Antonio Williams for sure.
Lawrence
And when you talk about tough, like they'll put this guy not just in the slot but they'll line him up right next to the tight end and they'll do stuff with him that way. He's also, he also could be used in the run game. He's a special teams guy, he could return the kicks. What I think he does best is he finds his spots in that zone over the middle short to intermediate area. Now being a slot receiver, you, you probably wouldn't consider him the most explosive or the most shiftiness like that, but he has, he has pretty decent straight line speed and like I say, he could find a spot in the zones. That's the guy that Jayden Daniel currently doesn't have in this offense.
Matthew Berry
There's no question about that. So I do actually think, you know, look late round flyer type thing. But again, given the fact that Terry McLaurin is really the only other guy they have in that offense that's established and he had some injury issues last year. We think the offense is going to be better with Jaden Daniels, David Blough, their new offensive coordinator. They're basically going to be running Ben Johnson's offense from Detroit under their new oc. So, yeah. Antonio Williams, welcome to Washington. Hail the Commanders. Hail victory. Who dat? The answer right now. Oscar Delp, the tight end from Georgia, now a member of the New Orleans Saints. Look, and I sort of kind of love what Kellen Moore is doing. He's got Chris Olave, drafts Jordan Tyson in round one, and now Oscar Delp, the tight end out of Georgia. Now, I don't know if there's any immediate fantasy value, Lawrence, because they've got Joanne Johnson there. They have no offense people. I don't think people really realize that, but talented player out of Georgia.
Lawrence
Yeah, he's a good athlete and just the guy that you're going to want to get in and develop. Right. He's more tight end where you rather kind of have him on the perimeter, where he's good blocking there. It's. It becomes a little bit more trouble in that area when he becomes a traditional tight end. But good hands, solid athlete, and just a nice guy to get in behind those two veteran tight ends in an offense that we see progressing.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, I think this is more like, hey, another weapon for Tyler Schuck, another weapon for head coach Kellen Moore to sort of play with. Say this a lot during the last two days, but, you know, I don't know there's any redraft value in Oscar Delt, but you certainly like him for Dynasty if and when they move on from Juwan Johnson again, another young piece for this kind of emerging Saints offense in New Orleans. All right, look, we don't know if Aaron Rodgers is coming back or not. The Steelers don't know if he's coming back or not. Aaron Rodgers himself may not know he's coming back. So what does Pittsburgh do? They go in and get a quarterback, the first one drafted under the Mike McCarthy era, drew aller from Penn State. You think about Pittsburgh in the AFC north, cold weather, tough defenses. So you go in and get a kid that's like, you know, he's six foot six, he's 228 pounds. Tough senior year for Drew Allard, but there's a lot of tools there and it's a pretty good landing spot considering there's opportunity even if Rodgers comes back this year long term.
Lawrence
Yeah, well, he's definitely got the strong arm, you know, to play in the AFC north, so he has that for him. I would say one of his things that he needs to improve on is with that strong arm, improving the deep ball accuracy, very accuracy, accurate in the short to intermediate area, good off the plate action. We just got to get the deep ball accuracy down and a little bit of the decision making. But at the end of the day here, I mean, at the very least he's going to be competing for a backup job. And who knows, if we're shocked and Aaron Rodgers retires or something, he could be competing for a starting job. So things could get real interesting in
Matthew Berry
Pittsburgh with Will Howard and Mason Rudolph. Again, I know the Steelers like Will Howard, but again, it's a new coaching staff. So again, McCarthy going out and picking McCarthy, who's an offensive coach, picks Drew Aller, he runs a little bit as well. And so you think they're starting to add to this offense that, you know, in terms of who else they have out there. So I think dynasty stock wise. Drew Aller really kind of interesting and I think there's an opportunity potentially for him to see some playing time sooner rather than later. All right. With all due respect to Darnell Mooney and Darius Slayton, it was widely reported that the Giants coming to the NFL draft wanted another wide receiver to pair with Malik Nabors to obviously help out Jackson Dart and give another guy that can help John Harbaugh's new offense. They get it in Malachi Field, so there's real opportunity here. Big contested catch guy here. Lawrence, what do you see for Fields as a fit with this offense?
Lawrence
Yeah, definitely some opportunity here. I don't know that he'll walk in and be the wide receiver too on day one, because you do have the veterans there. But this is a guy who's different than all of them. Very physical receiver, great blocker, especially on the outside there, good on the underneath routes, and he can go up and get the ball using his body. The only thing about him is he doesn't have that top end speed. You don't have to worry about him running past you.
Matthew Berry
That's why they got Slayton and Mooney.
Lawrence
That's why they got Slayton, Mooney. So he'll have a. He'll have a way to like, kind of make his presence with his style of play. He'll just have to work his way up the depth chart.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, great. 50, 50 ball winner as well. Now, like now there's going to be a challenge in the red zone because they've got Isaiah likely they signed him this offseason to a big deal. Harbaugh knowing him from Baltimore. Theo Johnson had a nice year as well. So they've got a couple of tight ends, they've got kind of a couple of big body red zone threats but they continue to build around Jackson Dart and so again that number two spot opposite Malik Nabors. Kind of interesting, kind of potential there for Malachi Fields. Late round flyer in redraft, but somebody to know for the future. Bird up. I'm going to make that a thing, Lawrence, I promise you. Bird up. Atlanta Falcons get another wide receiver. They needed one. Zachariah Branch, now a member of your Atlanta Falcons. You sort of think about the fit here. It's pretty interesting, right, because after Drake London, they really don't have much. There's rumors that they're trying to trade Kyle Pitts. Obviously they got Bijan Robinson out of the backfield. But as you think about what this Falcons offense is going to look like this year with Tuatanga Vailoa doesn't love to throw deep. So Zachariah Branch, kind of a small, gadgety guy. Pretty interesting here for Atlanta.
Lawrence
Yeah, I think as far as receivers goes, the Falcons just got like their most shifty and quick guy for sure. Really good coming out of his breaks. Explosive. He's got 4, 3, 5 speed, could do stuff in the return game as well. He didn't really have the opportunity to run those deep routes at Georgia, so a lot of his stuff is either at the line of scrimmage or not far from it. But the thing about that Matthew is that he is really good after the catch and he could make guys miss in the open field. So that's where he'll kind of make his hay. He'll just have to compete with the likes of, you know, Olammade Zacchaeus, Jahan Dotson. Those are the, that's what he's up against here. But like you said, Tua doesn't concern me at all. I just, yeah, if he could get to a spot where he's like, you know, where he's on the field a lot and they're you like think of like what Tavon Austin was coming out of college at West Virginia. He has some of that part to his game and that's something that Atlanta definitely could use.
Matthew Berry
I could see him being a deep flyer in PPR leagues again. But I think this, this helps Tua, who you know, could be a viable streamer to quarterback league guy again, it's another weapon for the Falcons. When you think about just sort of. Tua loves to. You think about how often he dumped off to Devon A Chan. So you can. Obviously Bijan's going to get his, but Zachariah Branch could be a part of this offense sooner than later. The draft is rolling on you and I continue to pound as do the Carolina Panthers. Keep pounding Chris. Keep pounding Chris Brazel, now a member of the Carolina Panthers, joining Tedro and McMillan and of course our guy, Jalen Coker. Cokeheads unite. There's another weapon here. Boy, oh boy, does Carolina not like Xavier Legat.
Lawrence
I mean, they got so many young receivers, right? And that's who, that's who they're looking at when they take Chris Brazil. They're looking at Xavier Leguette like you. Hey, we wouldn't have to do this, but look, hey, this is because Xavier Leggett was a deep threat, four, three guy. That's what Chris Brazil is, deep threat, four three guy, tough player at the position. And being six foot five, Matthew Woody also does well as he sinks his hit. Well, that's harder for taller players to do, but he does that well at the top of his routes. The thing with Chris Brazel is, you know, when he's not getting the ball, like what's your participation in the play? What does the effort look like when you don't have the ball? So if something keeps him off the field, it'll be that. But when you talk about the talent, the athleticism, when he's at his best, this is somebody that Bryce Young could use here.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, I don't think you, you know, I don't think you're going to be drafting him in normal sized redraft leagues again. At best he would be the number three option behind McMillan and Coker. But you feel better about Bryce Young, who again has shown moments of fantasy relevancy. It's another weapon. It's another year in the system there in Carolina. So Bryce Young, I think is, is on the two QB league, the super flex league. He was your quarterback in the league of assholes, led you to the playoffs as well. Your running backs were very strong in case anyone's wondering there. But I think this is good for Bryce Young, good for the entire Panthers offense because it can open up more stuff for Tet and Jalen Coker, good landing spot for Chris Brass, I will
Lawrence
say too, like, you know, the Tennessee receivers don't usually have a good track record, so he's trying to kind of break that mold as well. So we'll see he's in a good spot to have a good opportunity here.
Matthew Berry
Well, the opportunity is bountiful. Maybe the Dolphins, Lawrence, are playing chess while we're all playing checkers. Caleb Douglas is now a member of the Miami Dolphins in a wide receiver room that has, you know, Malik Washington, Tutu Atwell, Jalen Tolbert. Like there's not a lot of guys there. So they go out and get the Texas Tech wide receiver for Caleb Douglas. A lot of people surprised that he was the 11th wide receiver off the board. They had a much lower. But what is Miami getting here?
Lawrence
Yeah, there's a few guys I would have taken. He went ahead of guys like Zachariah Branch, Chris Brazo. I would have went with those guys ahead of Caleb Douglas. However, hey, the good news is he'll get an opportunity here for the Miami Dolphins. So thing about him is he's explosive. He can get down the field like you want him on the deep routes, go ball type of guy. The thing is, Matthew, he's 6 foot 3, 200 pounds. And there could be some times when he doesn't quite play like that size of a player. So again, you know, he'll get the opportunity on any team where Jalen Tobert is the number one receiver. So that's, that's what you could say most about him there.
Matthew Berry
Yeah. And look, amazing opportunity. How good is this offense going to be with Malik Willis and, you know, not a lot around him. We'll see. But like, even the worst NFL team can produce fantasy points here. So again, the talent we're not sure of entirely, but the opportunity is massive. And so Caleb Douglas is going to be a sleeper in a lot of fantasy league drafts come August. That was my Raven. That was my Baltimore Ravens. It's late. We're in the third round. Jacoby Lane is now a member of the Baltimore Ravens. Big guy. And we've seen pass catchers with size have a lot of success in Baltimore. Obviously, Mark Andrews, the most obvious example. Isaiah likely as well after Zay Flowers, there's question marks in the wide receiver room. So Jacoby Lane might have an opportunity here.
Lawrence
Yeah, he'll get a chance to compete. And how you talk about their bit bodies now, they actually have it at the wide receiver position. Something that Lamar hasn't really had. Think about Jacoby Lane. Look, he uses his body as a weapon, especially when you get inside the 20. When you get inside the 10, the dude can make these all types of acrobatic catches. And people sleep on how shifty and athletic he is being 6, 5, 200 pounds. He got some shake ups to him but the type of catches he can make, that's the type of guy that Lamar needs once he gets knit. Especially losing a guy like Isaiah likely because you take away that there so and we know like Zay Flowers could get you down there. Jacoby Lane is the type of guy that if he gets in the lineup he's the guy that could finish it up.
Matthew Berry
Definitely a name to know. Potentially a flyer redraft. It sort of depends on what happens with Rashad Bateman. I think those two guys will be battling for playing time but certainly a name to know. And it's a pretty good landing spot for dynasty I think especially listen when you're a young player and you get to play with Lamar Jackson, good things can happen. We knew the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would look to replace Mike Evans and they do so with Ted Hurst. 64206, big body wide receiver out of Georgia State. And we've seen the Buccaneers have success with rookie wide receivers. Tez Johnson last year, Ameka Buka last year. Think about Jalen McMillan his rookie year. So is there an opportunity here for Ted Hurst?
Lawrence
You know what Matthew? I say hell yeah. They keep drafting these young receivers everybody every year and like you said, they keep having success. Thing about Ted Hurst is you could put him right on the outside and he could go can make any type of catch. Not a guy who's scared of the moment. You like him off the line quick for a guy that's six three and almost 212 pounds now when he gets the ball he's probably not as elusive, but he's still a strong runner. And the thing about it is when you put him next to the other Bucs receivers like you gotta Mecca Abouga, that's your franchise receiver right there. Right. But I kind of like him more playing that Amon Ross St. Brown role. We know Chris. Chris Godwin does his best work in the slot there. So there is room for Ted Hurts to come in and kind of make a name for himself.
Matthew Berry
You think about Chris Godwin and his injury history. You think about Jalen Millen off the serious injury last year as well. So. And again as I said, the Buccaneers have done a good job over the last couple years getting production from their rookie wide receivers. So I don't mind a late round flyer on Ted Hurst. It's a little bit crowded but certainly when you think about Baker Mayfield, not scared to take chances, not scared to throw a 5050 ball. And so you've Got a big body and Ted Hurst, you know, going down the middle of field, being in the red zone all of a sudden, kind of interesting. Tampa Bay long term great landing spot for Ted Hurst. Anytime Kyle Shanahan drafts a running back, ears perk up, eyebrows raised. Because if you have a running back that's playing behind Chris McCaffrey, they are an injury away from having a ton of success. And so they add to that in San Francisco. Calen Black out of the national champion Indiana Hoosiers goes there. He's a nothing in the passing game here, Lawrence, but you know, he's an
Lawrence
interesting player when you talk about the passing game. Where he does excel in the passing game is like pass protection, like picking up blitzes and stuff. But if you're talking about catching passes like running angle routes and choice routes like cmc, that's not the kind of guy you're going to get. You're going to get like a straight line runner. He'll hit the hole, he'll hit it hard. Not going to give you much juking or you know, that type of lateral agility. Just a hard runner. But the thing is he's a 49ers running back. And what I also should mention that he's 24 years old as we sit here today, about a month into the season, he'll be a 25 year old running back for the 49ers. So it's, it's a tough sell for me. Matthew definitely in redraft unless he's the solidified backup. But dynasty's even crazier.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, and that's, that's the point maybe as we get to August and if there's any kind of. But we know Kyle Shanahan, Shahanaganigans, you know what I mean? Like, he just like it just honestly, Jordan James, they drafted him last year, didn't get a touchdown. Isaac Rando didn't get a touch.
Lawrence
We thought he was the one.
Matthew Berry
Yes.
Lawrence
Because he had, he had like two top 12 fantasy weeks.
Matthew Berry
Yeah, I just, I mean, so they've got bodies there. It's interesting depth, you know it. And so while he is, you know, whether it's Jordan Mason or Matt Breida, Kyle Shanahan and John lynch have hit on some late round running backs, but there's also some misses in there. There's Trey Sermons, Tyron Davies, you know, Tyron Davis Price. Right. So I'm just saying, like, I think that Caleb Black's probably going to get a lot of interest just because, hey, there's a chance he's CMC's backup. But for me, unless I'm with you, unless you know definitively he's absolutely the backup, you're probably ignoring him and hoping for no injury to Christian McCaffrey. Okay, now this makes more sense. Wide receiver Chris Bell to the Miami Dolphins. They drafted Caleb Douglas earlier, but you and I both like Bell before Douglas, so they wind up with a good wide receiver. You know, big, big physical target, possession guy off the bat injury. So maybe that's why he drops here. But Chris Bell lands himself in a pretty amazing opportunity where as we've talked about this Miami Dolphins wide receiver room kind of wide open.
Lawrence
Yeah, he talked. I got a chance to talk to him at the combine and he said his comp would be A.J. brown. They're about the same size and I understand that cop. He's great at the line of scrimmage. He's quick at the line of scrimmage, good on the go ball. Right. He's got great acceleration. The thing that he does really well, Matthew, is run after the catch. He had an ACL injury late in the 2025 season. That's why you see him push to the third round. This guy was talked about as a potential late first rounder, early second round guy. We see him go near the end of the third round here. But definitely like when you look at him and Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell is the guy looking at that Dolphins depth chart. Once he gets healthy, he should be their number one wide receiver.
Matthew Berry
Yeah. And again in redraft. Don't mind him as a late round flyer, especially if you're in a league that has an IR spot again, you know, if he's not there to start the season. But just the opportunity. You like it a lot in Dynasty as well. Again, once he's healthy. Sky. Sky's the limit there in, in South Florida.
Lawrence
Yes, indeed.
Matthew Berry
The Patriots get their tight end of the future. Hunter Henry is 31 years old, got one year left on the deal. So what do the Patriots do? They go out and get 6 foot 7, 252 pound Eli Reardon out of Notre Dame. This guy is a complete weapon.
Lawrence
Yeah. So as a tight end, your traditional inline tight end, I would say his best asset is blocking. So I think he'll have an opportunity to touch the field in some multiple tight end sets because of that. Now, as far as pass catching goes, he's a reliable pass catcher. Like he, like he's good enough to be like solid. He'll make, he'll do what you need, but like as far as like, athleticism and speed, probably a little bit below average for the tight end position. But again, because he could block, because he does have reliable hands, he could find himself in a situation where he's playing some.
Matthew Berry
Yeah. And especially when you think about they used Austin Hooper a decent amount last year as a number two tight end. So could he get onto the field behind Hunter Henry as they start using some two tight end sets? I think it's a really interesting player and I think it's a great landing spot. Again, as I mentioned, the fact that Hunter's. Hunter Henry's got 31 and he's, he's got a year left on his deal. So I think dynasty wise Eli Reardon lands in a fantastic spot.
