October 17: Matthew (@MatthewBerryTMR), Jay (@croucherJD), and Connor (@ConnorJRogers) look back on Joe Flacco connecting repeatedly with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins in the Bengals upset over the Steelers and detail the latest injury news for CeeDee Lamb, Terry McLaurin, George Kittle and Calvin Ridley. Denny Carter also drops in for a discussion about Tutu Atwell and Luther Burden III in “Flexual Frustrations” before the group answers start/sit questions on Matthew Golden, Kendrick Bourne, and Jacory Croskey-Merritt. The show concludes with Connor and Jay pitching Matthew on bets to make ahead of Sunday.

Fantasy Football Happy hour with Matthew.
Dr. Denny Carter
Happy Friday. Welcome to the fantasy football happy hour. Connor Rogers, Matthew Berry, Jake Croucher. Oh, boy, are we feeling good after that win by Joe Palaco.
Jay Croucher
Old people are back.
Dr. Denny Carter
They really are.
Jay Croucher
That's exciting.
Dr. Denny Carter
Icy Hot bowl.
Jay Croucher
Oh, yeah, yeah. We might make this the icy Hot show. Old people are back. Old people are in. Oh, what a great game that was last night.
Dr. Denny Carter
Was just on fire last night. Like it felt like they. Everyone turned back the clock last night.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, it was. What's the name? Cocoon. It was like. It was fantasy football Cocoon last night. It was amazing.
Dr. Denny Carter
Valiant Vincent. We saw Barry's 40 in Dallas. If Flacco could still run like that at his age, what's Barry's excuse?
Jay Croucher
Yeah, how long do you have? Joe Flacco was at one point in his life an elite athlete. Like he was a first round pick in the NFL. He is a Super bowl winner. I like he's also a younger people.
Dr. Denny Carter
Forget that for some reason. He's younger than you.
Jay Croucher
Yes, there's that too.
Dr. Denny Carter
He's old, but he's younger than you.
Jay Croucher
Everyone's younger Than me.
Connor Rogers
He didn't run fast. He just ran.
Jay Croucher
That was it.
Dr. Denny Carter
Amazing Play.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, yeah.
Connor Rogers
8 miles per hour.
Dr. Denny Carter
There's some buildup speed there. Like after the first five steps, I was like, he's still a professional athlete.
Connor Rogers
Like, he couldn't move a bit.
Jay Croucher
What gets so skewed is, and I know Valiant Vincent is joking, of course, trying desperately to get into the power rankings. I don't think you're gonna make it this week. I got news for you, buddy.
Dr. Denny Carter
Keep trying, though.
Jay Croucher
But I like the effort. I like the last second, you know, shot trying to get in there. But like. Because, like, we're so, you know, watching all these athletes like Joe. Joe Flacco is course slow compared to, like when we're watching like Jamar Chase or DK Metcalf or somebody flying around. But in real life, Joe Flacco is perfectly fast. Oh, yeah.
Connor Rogers
It's like Stephen Curry is like 6, 3. Like, Stefan Curry's very tall. We see him next to, you know, Victor Wembanyama.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah, you're like 5, 7, 50. Yes. It's ridiculous.
Connor Rogers
Yes.
Jay Croucher
It skews your perspective on all these guys.
Dr. Denny Carter
It's like when the offensive linemen were on the 40, right? And people are like, five, two. Wow, you're pathetic. And like that human on the couch watching probably doesn't run a sub six.
Jay Croucher
Exactly.
Dr. Denny Carter
Very good chance. Oh, for everybody out there.
Jay Croucher
The hell is in.
Dr. Denny Carter
Five, two at 300 plus pounds is flying.
Connor Rogers
Yes.
Jay Croucher
Right. It's like the old meme of like, you know, like, you know, there's like a shot of like a, you know, a woman in a beauty pageant or whatever, like, you know, wearing a bikini or something like that. And then you cut to like, you know, some fat guy, you know, with. With stubble, balding and his belly hanging out, and he's like, her nose is too big. You know, sort of like.
Dr. Denny Carter
Nitpick.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, nitpicking, you know, everything like, dude, like, I mean, just. Right. Joe Flacco is a very good athlete. He just looks slow compared to, you know, exceptional athletes. And by the way, he was great last night.
Dr. Denny Carter
He was awesome last night. We're going to answer your questions on what's on Tap. Jay and I have our pickup lines for Matthew as we always do on Fridays, but it's all about Joe Flacco. To kick off the top of the show as you see the scoring leaders from Thursday Night Football. Nuclear performance from Jamar Chase. Pat Friermuth, who's had a very quiet season, had a massive night. And then it's the old quarterbacks right after them and Joe Flacco and Aaron Rodgers. We got to hear from Joe Flacco and Jamar Chase on the Bengals offense all coming together.
Connor Rogers
This is such an emotional game, but.
Jay Croucher
Like, sometimes, especially as a quarterback, you.
Dr. Denny Carter
Got to take the emotions and, and.
Jay Croucher
The want to of like looking ahead at the results.
Connor Rogers
You got to just take that out of play and just go play football.
Dr. Denny Carter
And you know, hey, we got Jamar on an out route.
Connor Rogers
Oh, they're off of them. Just throw it.
Dr. Denny Carter
Just simple, the simple thing, it just.
Connor Rogers
Goes back to the basics and not.
Jay Croucher
Worrying about the result in the moment. Just playing the play and getting our guys in position to go win it.
Matthew Berry
We know we was close last week.
Jay Croucher
We felt like we just figured it out about how we gonna go about Flacco and just the offense, period. I think today showed what we're really capable of and, you know, show how.
Matthew Berry
Prolific this offense really could be.
Dr. Denny Carter
This tweet from you, Matthew.
Jay Croucher
Yeah. You know, they're gonna change the rules so Flacco can win comeback player of the year again. Croucher, J.D. which is of course you on Twitter. Yes.
Connor Rogers
And then I tweeted the response. It's going to be a rough show tomorrow, which is today. Off the top, we played a clip about the quality of my transitions.
Jay Croucher
There we go.
Connor Rogers
Comeback player of the year, Joe Flacco. Chris Priest.
Jay Croucher
Comeback player of the year, Joe Flacco.
Dr. Denny Carter
Possibly standing on the set.
Jay Croucher
Back to back, back to back. Comeback player of the year Joe Flacco. Look, he came back from sucking once again, so now why can't he if he leaves? Yes, exactly. Jay Croucher. Look at their upcoming schedule. They're home to the jets. They've got 10 days to prepare for your jets. They've got 10 days for a home game against the jets, then they get Chicago at home, then a bye week, then they're at Pittsburgh again. Like, the schedule actually lays out very nicely for this offense to. To get going and actually stack some wins and get. Get back into what isn't a division that scares you all that much. With the Ravens struggling, obviously the Browns are out of it. Look at their upcoming schedule after the buyers defenses suck. Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
I mean, what is it besides New England?
Connor Rogers
New England's past defense isn't like it's.
Dr. Denny Carter
Fine, but they're not super important on Christian Gonzalez. Basically.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, Chase is going to go for.
Connor Rogers
300 yards in those two Ravens games, as he always does. The Bills don't have a great pass defense. Dolphins, Cardinals, the Browns. We'll see what they're like by week 18.
Jay Croucher
But like, you look at that. 16, first off, fantasy playoffs, week 15 against the Ravens. Week 16 at the Dolphins. That game is on our air. I bet we get flexed out of that one. And then I think we're not airing the Dolphins and we.
Dr. Denny Carter
I don't think we get flexed out.
Jay Croucher
I think we're going to flex out of it. I think we're going to flex out of it or the NFL will flex us out of it. But then the Cardinals and the Browns, like, Like, if they can basically play 500 ball here, you know, maybe stack a few wins, they've got a real shot here again, especially if the Ravens don't get figured out.
Connor Rogers
Like, the one reason why that might not get flexed out is that could be the return of Joe Burrow, which would be. Certainly warrant a prime time spot.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah. Quarterback controversy.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, I mean, that's right. Right. Because now, like, the concern here was, oh, well, like, you know, because we were like, hey, I can't tell you how much crap I got online. And we also got as well, when the trade happened, we were like, this is going to be great for Jamar Chase. This is going to be great for T. Higgins. Everyone's like, that old man behind that line. He's going to get killed. I got so much crap online about what a terrible take that was. Flacco sucks. The Browns gave up on him. And we're like, hey, all due respect, first off, he'll get rid of the ball quickly behind that line. He only got sacked once last night. And more importantly, like, he's willing to throw it. He's willing to. He's not. He's not scared to throw it. He'll throw into traffic. He knows Jamar Chase will come down with it. And there's a difference. Throwing to Ja' Marr Chase and T. Higgins versus throwing to Jerry Judy. And even though we like Cedric Tillman, like, whatever, or Isaiah Bond, like, you know, it's a. It's a. It's a much more improved offense that he's coming into. And at least for one week. Jay, we look, right?
Connor Rogers
Yeah, no, we do. There's a couple of things. One we spoke about off the top, where we played the video of me and my transitions last night. I almost transitioned into the warm embrace of death. I didn't enjoy that at all.
Jay Croucher
Secondly, great game.
Connor Rogers
Oh, yeah, yeah. Just the Flacco pandering. I get it. He was fantastic. Flacco. Stuntmanshark85 says Flacco has all the emotions of Jake Crouch are cold, calculated, machine like and brutally efficient.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, that's fair, right?
Dr. Denny Carter
Ton of kids at home when he's at work.
Connor Rogers
Compliments, right?
Dr. Denny Carter
Like the same person.
Connor Rogers
Shane Falco from the replacements.
Jay Croucher
I believe that is his.
Connor Rogers
Yes, his avatar there. That's well played by Stuntman Chuck. Secondly, I don't actually have a problem with Joe Flacco. I have a problem with the 50 voters of the Associated Press who decided to put a stain on the history of the NFL by voting him over DeMar Hamlin. But look, the thing with Flacco is, is to your point, if he's able, if they can keep him upright and Jamar Chase and T. Higgins can get open in two seconds, then he's going to be perfectly solid for this offense. Like, to me, last night was a commentary on just how bad the Steelers covering game is at the moment. It's like Jalen Ramsey still fine, but he can't cover Gema Chase one on one at this point of his career. Darius Slay might just be done. Patrick Queen might be the worst cover linebacker in the league right now. Like, they just had nothing they couldn't get over and they kept on wanting to play man coverage one on one against Chase. So it was all credit to Flacco.
Jay Croucher
Like, and they showed this in the post game when they, when they bracketed and they bracketed both those guys. And Josevic was on single coverage. They did some boom and they nailed us.
Dr. Denny Carter
Right. And the pass rush for the Steelers wasn't great last night against a bad offensive line.
Jay Croucher
That's right. But again, like, even when they were getting pressure, like he got rid of it quickly. They got home on one play, but for the most part it was absolutely fine. So first off, I just want to. I don't know that there's any fantasy takeaway from Jamar Chase other than the fact it was awesome to see I'm wearing number one in honor of my guy, proud fantasy life investor Jamar Chase, by the way. See, there you go. Look at this photo. We can show that. There you go.
Dr. Denny Carter
People forget he wrote the guide.
Connor Rogers
What's going on with your face there, Matthew?
Jay Croucher
I'm just so happy that I've got like, I've got Jamar Chase holding my magazine with his face on it. It's not often you get to do.
Connor Rogers
That where you're like, hey, slobbering his face. It's excitement.
Jay Croucher
I didn't have a lot of, candidly, I didn't have a lot of time with him. I'm not comfortable with my expression in that picture, but hopefully you're focusing on Jamar Chase specifically. Yes, I know I'm such, like, I look like a girly fanboy. Like, I'm just so. I am. Well, I am, but I was hoping I would hide it better. Yeah, I was hoping I would hide it better. Photos don't lie. But anyway, we're thrilled for our guy, Jamar Chase. Proud fantasy life Investor Jamar Chase. 23 targets. That's the 23. 23 targets, 16 receptions. It's a monster game. 16 for 161 and a touchdown. You know, especially when you think about this upcoming schedule. There's no takeaway other than, like, if you hung tough, you're being rewarded for a guy that you likely picked in the first three. Four picks.
Connor Rogers
And he played one over Chase going forward in fantasy after that showing and the fan all coupled last week. And I get that the steals defense was bad, as I just mentioned, but he was awesome against the packers defense the week before, too. Isn't he just gonna keep. Flacco's just gonna throw the ball 40 times.
Dr. Denny Carter
That's just what he does.
Connor Rogers
And he's just gonna go to jamar Chase, like, 35% of the time.
Jay Croucher
And the clip that you heard was. He was just talking about, like, feel so bad for Jake Browning. But, like, Flacco's right. Like, it's not that tough. Like, he's Jamar Effin Chase. Like, throw the ball. Like, I mean, again, like, this is what I talked about. I talked about when the trade happened. You guys all agreed, and we got tons of crap online. But, like, the, like, think about the game against the packers. Ja' Marr Chase's first touchdown was like. It was in triple coverage in about this much of the sideline. And Chase still came down with it. Got two toes down. He's Ja' Mar effing Chase. Like, you're gonna just get the ball somewhere near him. And more likely than not, he's coming down with it.
Dr. Denny Carter
I almost think the story, though, that's even bigger because we know Chase can do this, is T. Higgins being viable like that. Because let's not forget he sl lid out of a touchdown wisely because they controlled the clock. We're in any other scenario, we're looking at almost 30 point night for T. Higgins. I think, Jay, that Flacco can support both of them, which was the big question, because you're never going to just give up on Jamar Chase, no matter who's the quarterback. We were approaching some weeks where you're sitting there like should I bench T. Higgins?
Connor Rogers
Yeah, no, I agree. And the beauty there for Higgins as well as Chase is that the Bengals defense is a comedy show. Like it's an absolute comedy show. They got no answers for anything. It's just an absolute message. And Flacco is going to have to keep throwing and it seems like he's going to be able to support these guys. So yeah, I think T. Higgins now goes back to being a must start type of player.
Jay Croucher
22% target share. He's had at least a 20% target share in both games with Flaccos. His two best games of the year in terms of yards and receptions have both been the last two weeks with Joe Flacco under center, you know, so I just, this is super interesting. He had one such game in weeks one through five where he had a 20% target share. So I mean again I'm with you is that Flacco makes Higgins very viable. I had him as a risky wide receiver three in terms of my ranks. I'll own it. Like I, I ended up starting him in the leagues that I have him in because I didn't have better options. But like I certainly got questions and I was like I did a radio show and people were asking me about Higgins. I'm like yeah man, it's borderline. Like it's just sort of a little how lucky you feel. So Julio think you are to see Higgins so risky even with back to back solid performances. No, I don't think he is. I think he's back to being. I think he's a low end wide receiver too than probably the mid tier wide receiver too. He was drafted as. But yeah, Flacco elevates its offense just quickly.
Connor Rogers
Another ripple effect of this game. This game. It keeps the season alive and that has ripple effects into fantasy, into betting markets. They lose that they're 2 and 5 like it's seasons probably is done. Now they're 3 and 4 with the jets and the Bears at home coming up. They have a real chance to get the 5 and 4 and it also just, it keeps Joe Burrows timeline alive that he can come back in time for the fancy playoffs. This team now is only like a, I mean they're three to one to make the playoffs. Like that's a realistic. That's a 25% chance.
Jay Croucher
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
Bengals 80 to 1. AFC anyone? Joe Burrow coming back.
Jay Croucher
It's a better bet than your Saints bet.
Connor Rogers
I agree.
Jay Croucher
I agree.
Connor Rogers
All these AFC teams are very flawed.
Dr. Denny Carter
The AFC is just wide Open.
Connor Rogers
Yeah. It's Joe Burrow going to the playoffs at 81.
Jay Croucher
Maybe.
Connor Rogers
I don't know.
Jay Croucher
Yeah. Like, the only AFC team that I feel good about is the Chiefs. The Bills have lost two in a row. The Ravens are a disaster right now. I mean, the Chiefs, the Chargers have sort of looked human. They have. They barely beat the Dolphins. They lost two in a row before that. Like Denver. Denver could barely beat, you know, the.
Connor Rogers
Third best team in the AFC now is the Indianapolis Colts. Right. So it's wide open. Chiefs definitely the team to beat. Should be the favorite, I think. But the defense isn't amazing. It's not the deep. It's like, this is. You go Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow can beat anyone on a given day.
Dr. Denny Carter
The only buzzkill I'll have about that is the three month timeline was the minimum.
Connor Rogers
Sure.
Dr. Denny Carter
And that injury has a high variance of beyond three months. So, I mean, Joe Burrow is going to try to come back if they're in playoff position.
Jay Croucher
I get that. We're all over the rails. And I'll just say one quick thing about this, though. I did the Dan LeBatard show earlier today, and I was just. I was talking about Baker Mayfield and basically saying, like, I don't care who Baker Mayfield's throwing to. You start Baker Mayfield, especially against the Lions. And he said, it's crazy. And then I made a thing about Rasheed Rice. Hey, Rasheed Rice is back. You want to start him? And Dan made an unbelievable point. He goes, isn't it crazy? Like, Baker. It doesn't matter who Baker Mayfield's throwing for. He's the leader in the mvp. But now Patrick Mahomes finally gets some wide receivers back and he's good. I'm like, I get it. I mean, you know, I mean, like, it's Mahomes, but I'm like, that's kind of fair. I mean, just honestly, that's been the excuse that people are making for Mahomes. And here's Baker Mayfield making Tez Johnson and Cameron Johnson a thing. Kate Otten.
Dr. Denny Carter
Anyway, this one from Reese Morgenstern, longtime regular, first time commenter. Is there hope for Chase Brown?
Jay Croucher
I don't think there is. Like, so, no.
Connor Rogers
They might have Chase.
Jay Croucher
No, because look at this screen. He played only 63% of the snaps. He only had 11 rushing attempts. So I would actually try to. I don't think he can sell high because he was drafted as a top 12 overall player, but I would sell high. Ish. Hey, like, they're back with flacco. He had 100 yards, you know, could have gotten a touchdown. But like my concern is is that since week two he hasn't had more than 15 touches in a game. He's had less than 50% of the team's rushing attempts. There's too much smajp Ryan and in the two starts with Flacco, for all the talk about like Higgins and Chase getting these massive targets, he's got four catches for negative one yard in the two games with Flacco under center. He dropped the one ball too that was there. But just Flacco is much more likely, it seems like in this small two game sample size here. But Flacco is much more likely to chuck it deep to Chase and Higgins to see if they can make a play or Fanta or Yosevic than he is to dump it off to Chase Brown. And so we don't like this offensive line. He got one, you know, he got one goal to go. Rush attempt in this game wasn't able to convert it. They gave one to P. Ryan as well. So I actually think the underlying numbers still suggest this is much more of a timeshare and he's not involved in the passing game. So if you could get, you know, running back to value for Chase Brown, even low end running back value too, I would do that off this game.
Dr. Denny Carter
And the Steelers run defense hasn't been good this year. It's kind of a myth. You think of the Steelers, you go, I can't do anything against them. Teams have ran on them this year.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, it's the best he's looked all year. But they're still even in a game in which he was moving the ball, they still wanted P. Ryan out there.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, the Steelers defense, it's just a bad defense. It's been a bad defense all year. They had a resurgence against Dylan Gabriel thought maybe they turned the corner off of the but no, it's just the bad defense like the D line just can't get the pressure that it did last year. Linebackers are poor, secondary is poor. Until they prove it. You just have to go forward thinking this is a very favorable matchup.
Dr. Denny Carter
The Steelers offense and even more interesting storyline out of this game. Matthew DK Metcalf scores a season low eight fantasy points. Looks like after that bomb in the first quarter, okay, DK is going to be getting his today and then we really didn't see much from him in this game but it does feel like maybe just a blip on the radar because he's been good this year.
Jay Croucher
He's Been good this year. Good this year. And maybe the box score looks a little bit different if he didn't lose that fumble that sort of got ripped out of his hands. But the truth of the matter is, is that the Bengals are one of the worst teams in the NFL in terms of especially opposing tight ends. And what does Arthur Smith love more than any. Love more than multiple running backs, multiple tight ends. And so he was able to get Darnell Washington, John Usmith and Friarmouth to have the best fantasy game of his career. Like, this is the ultimate Arthur Smith.
Dr. Denny Carter
Like, you know, all three tight ends.
Jay Croucher
All three tight ends got in the end zone. This is like, this is Arthur Smith's Chef's Kiss masterpiece is what this was as well. Didn't get into a victory for him, but I don't know, I'm just.
Dr. Denny Carter
He's.
Jay Croucher
Metcalf has been so good this year and he's been better than what you drafted at. You know, like, I'm willing to, you know, sort of make this. I think this is just a blip. Just, you know, they attacked where they had opportunities.
Connor Rogers
Metcalf's never been like a double digit targets per game type of guy. It's just not. He's never been in the Jefferson Chase type of world. He's more in that kind of second tier. So when you're in that tier, there's just going to be games where you're three for 50.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, I'm also ignoring Friarmouth here. I get, I mean, like, it was unbelievable, but like, I want to see him do it against somebody other than the Steelers. I'm sorry, the Bengals. He also, you know, he had that one big play with the long touchdown towards the end of the game, which is great, but like just Pat Friarmouth, not exactly yards after catch monster. He's no tuck daddy.
Connor Rogers
No, he's not tucked out. He almost got him. I almost got him just across the inside. So he's running out of gas.
Dr. Denny Carter
47 coming into this game.
Jay Croucher
Yeah. No team has given up more fantasy points to opposing running backs or opposing tight ends this year than the Cincinnati Bengals. I will say. Jay Stabs, who says, can we talk about how good Jalen Warren looked? He really did. And I think all the, no puns intended, all the gains that Kenneth Gainwell made a couple of weeks ago in that London game, I think have now gone away. Gainwell's out there and he's out there for pass production, but Jalen Warren's not only the Steelers running back you want, but like he's firmly Established himself as the number one guy and I think he's a top 15 running back the rest of the way.
Connor Rogers
Yep. The caveat would be that Conor Rodgers could go 12 for 60 against the Bengals run defense. That is the the issue because they haven't been efficient on the ground until this point. But the good thing is is that they have leaned into this being a run first offense. Bringing in Darnell Washington to block, playing six offensive linemen like they're going to run the ball first and foremost and then Aaron Rodgers is going to play off of that. And if Jaylen Warren is the number one guy in a competent run first offense, then he has to be a top 15.
Jay Croucher
Arthur Smith always has a competent run first offense. You know, for all of our jokes about him, like he calls a good run game. He legitimately does. And Rodgers isn't scared to like those shovel passes and dump it off Like Rogers likes to get the ball out quickly and he's not scared to get it to Warren in space.
Connor Rogers
Also like Flacco is as he should be. All the buzz out of that game. I thought Rogers looked great. He had the terrible first interception into double coverage on their way through. That second pick wasn't his fault outside of like the arm is still obviously there. The throw, the 70 yard throw that he made into the end zone is just absurd. He's still absolutely zipping it. He also seem to move a little bit better. Definitely kind of like spinning around a little bit now. I don't think he's back to like 2020 Aaron Rodgers, but he might be back to like 2022 Aaron Rodgers, who's who can run a very solid offense.
Jay Croucher
Certainly a significant improvement over his year with the Jets.
Dr. Denny Carter
Jets Rogers. Jets Rogers all around.
Jay Croucher
Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
Let's look at the week seven injuries we're tracking here guys, because there's a lot of them that we have to go through. Kyler Murray with that foot injury. Brock PR Birdie with a toe, he's been trying to work his way back. Chuba Hubbard with the calf. Deandre Swift with the groin. Ceedee Lamb working his way back with the ankle. Mike Evans might be a game time decision with his hamstring. Marvin Harrison with the concussion. Devo Samuel and Terry McLaurin for the commanders, both of them. We'll get to more in just a second on that. And Brock Bowers with the knee. CD Lamb says he will play without limitations.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, my guy 8. I call him mates. His friends call him mates. I call him eight. Yeah, but CD Lamb to you guys.
Connor Rogers
How does he feel about you cheating on him with Jamar Chase? You've chosen your wide receiver one.
Jay Croucher
He's fine with it. He texted me. He said, I'm playing this week. Fire me up. And I'm like, I got you, eights. I got you. Don't you worry. And then I was just like, hey, I'm gonna wear Jamar Chase on air. He's like, I get that. I love Jamar. Yeah. He was very positive about it, for sure.
Connor Rogers
Okay.
Jay Croucher
We text all the time. Yeah. A lot of people don't realize this, but the famous clip of him snapping the phone out of his girlfriend was for me, like, because he was just like, wait, don't be talking to Matthew. That's my guy.
Dr. Denny Carter
That's true.
Jay Croucher
And so he snapped it out of the. Out of the. Out of her hands, and I was just like, eights. You know, I'm true to you. I got you.
Connor Rogers
Okay. Great shot.
Jay Croucher
Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
All right. To the commanders. Terry McLaren has just been ruled out, by the way. Dan Quinn just really. Yes, Dan Quinn.
Jay Croucher
He was back at practice today. Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
No Dan Quinn just.
Connor Rogers
The command is inside.
Jay Croucher
I'm not.
Dr. Denny Carter
Thanks so much for you knowing things. That's from me and Rap4 commander coach.
Jay Croucher
Too busy texting with my guy.
Dr. Denny Carter
H. I was glad I got to break that news to you. Dan Quinn tells reporters Terry McLaurin is out for Sunday. Deebo Samuel did not practice yesterday. He's been doing some light work today. We'll have more on Deebo in just a bit. He's out there jogging right now keeping it because practice has been like. They're just went through a practice, so we'll see.
Connor Rogers
On Deebo.
Dr. Denny Carter
Jacoby Myers has not been practicing this week. Yes, there's a knee and a toe injury here. But, Jason, it also seems like Jacoby Myers is very likely to be traded, so they might be being cautious with him. Calvin Ridley did not practice Thursday, so that would affect Ellic IO Manor a bit. If you're looking for some kind of target shot.
Jay Croucher
Are you out on. You've loved Ellic IO Manor since the draft.
Connor Rogers
You've been lord of the manor.
Jay Croucher
You have been lord of the manor. I like Moldahan.
Connor Rogers
That's not bad.
Jay Croucher
Are you out on him? But this passing off has been a disaster. Now it's Mike McCoy in for, you know, whoever. Callahan.
Dr. Denny Carter
Brian Callahan.
Jay Croucher
Brian Callahan. Sorry. You in on IO, man? Are you hanging tough on him?
Dr. Denny Carter
He's a desperate flex play.
Jay Croucher
Okay.
Dr. Denny Carter
Right. My bold prediction before the season for him was he finishes as a top 50 wide receiver. I know because he was like wide receiver 87 by ADP. I think you're just going to have these weeks where they can't do anything.
Jay Croucher
Are you sticking by that prediction?
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah.
Matthew Berry
Oh, yeah.
Jay Croucher
Okay. Yeah.
Connor Rogers
I wish you downgrade Cam Ward off of what he's done so far.
Dr. Denny Carter
Not at all.
Connor Rogers
Okay.
Dr. Denny Carter
No. You watch those games. There's no way you could sit there.
Connor Rogers
And be like, ah, we have a.
Dr. Denny Carter
Cam ward problem here. J.C. latham's been awful at tackle. The line doesn't play well. The coaching is non existent. I can't. I mean, they've had.
Jay Croucher
And they've had a really tough schedule to start the season. Like a really tough schedule.
Dr. Denny Carter
I think Cam is just working with what he's got. Like, and like I.O. manor for context.
Jay Croucher
Aren't we all.
Dr. Denny Carter
Aren't we all for context, like, I owe. Manor is a guy that like, should be your wide receiver three and he's gonna be wide receiver one again this week. So the Titans have some issues. Trace McGee, start two. Tez Johnson, I.O. manor or Fannin Jr. I think I feel like Fannin's the must start there. Right, Matthew? Because I agree Joku might be out.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, I'm. I'm just looking at some of the updates I got here. David and Joku remain sidelined for the third straight day. Shout out to the Bleacher Nation fantasy app, which just gets unbelievable alerts all the time. So just from alerts from that app. And Joku remains sidelined for the third straight day. Kyla Murray status for Sunday will be valued in the next 48 hours. That's from Coach Gannon. Marvin Harrison remains in the concussion protocol. He's progressing. But. And as you mentioned, McLaurin out. Those are all the most recent updates over the next. Over the last, you know, five minutes here, by the way. Oh, Kenny Moore. Are Kenny Moore not practicing for your Colts? Neither is Charvarius Ward. So.
Connor Rogers
Josh Downs.
Jay Croucher
Yes, well, but listen, you know, fire up, fire up McConkey like all your Chargers again with the Colts secondary bad as it is.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah.
Jay Croucher
So. Oh, yeah, Josh Downs. Josh Downs is not practicing. Neither is Ashton Doolan.
Connor Rogers
Ashton Dolan. The new Shohei Ohtani plays both sides of the ball. Kind of. If you saw that Lou had a rumor used him as a part structure.
Dr. Denny Carter
My goodness. God, it's out here season.
Jay Croucher
Yeah. Anyway, just circling back to the Jacoby Myers thing. I know a guy that you were high coming out of the draft. High on coming out of the draft as well was Jack Besh, who had an 80% route preservation last week. That was the highest of the season. We haven't really seen it show up in the box score, but I know as a prospect, you liked him a lot. Are you still in on him?
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah, I am. I don't love this offense right now. It's been a bad year for Geno. The line hasn't been good, but they might be struggling so much. The Raiders that they're playing in these scripts where it's like, we have to throw the ball because we're down 20 points. That's where Besh would come in because he's so good in the short and intermediate range.
Jay Croucher
And if Myers isn't playing, like, opposite Trey Tucker, like, they're going to be traded eventually. Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
And Brock Bowers has been out for a while. Yeah. Jack Besh is a really interesting stash, more of a dynasty stash. But I wouldn't be shocked if, like, with all the injuries and bye weeks we have, by week 10, we're like, oh, Jack Besch can go for five for 50 and you hope he catches a touchdown.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, he. He went. He went the one pick before me in my dynasty league, and I was so annoyed.
Dr. Denny Carter
I think he's. I mean, I don't love the landing spot, but I think he's going to be a really good pro.
Jay Croucher
Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
Really good pro. Some more news here. George Kittle said he fully plans to play in week seven. Welcome back, George.
Jay Croucher
Welcome back, George Kittle. It's a big week. We might get Mike Evans back. We might get. We're going to get Ceedee Lamb back. We're getting George Kittle back. Like, thank goodness.
Dr. Denny Carter
No Lamar Jackson, obviously. No Lamar Jackson, though they expect him back for week eight. So with the bye week, a little extra time for Lamar with that hamstring, and that would be against the Bears, week eight. And boy, do the Ravens need them.
Connor Rogers
Yeah.
Jay Croucher
Yeah. I have, by the way, just going back to Lamb real quickly. I have Lamb at wide receiver four. I have Pickens at wide receiver eight. So you're not. That. You weren't going to start either one of those guys, but just, you know, in a game that has the highest over under total of the week, my commander secondary, we're terrible. We're not so good.
Connor Rogers
That game is like pick now as well. Like Commander's two and a half. Now it's pick with McLaren being out.
Jay Croucher
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
Big game, Matthew.
Jay Croucher
No, I'm three and four. Big game. No. A thousand percent. This is why the Bears game was so annoying, because Dallas always plays us tough even when they're down and so and this game's in Dallas and no I'm nervous about this game 100%.
Connor Rogers
This is a nervous for you. Yes.
Jay Croucher
Thank you.
Connor Rogers
Yeah.
Jay Croucher
Appreciate it. Take your nerves. You might have to jump on your Coltspan wagon if this goes south.
Connor Rogers
Join me for the shoe.
Dr. Denny Carter
Let's take a look at the top Week 7 waiver targets here. Sam Darnold at the top of this list. He's got the Texans defense, Michael Carter and Taje Spears at running back. Kendrick Bourne still out there for the Niners and all the injuries they've had. Trey Tucker as we mentioned the Raiders.
Jay Croucher
Even if Pierce hall comes back he's you know and and Kittle's back there. I still think Bourne could be interesting. I'm not even worried whether it's Purdy or Jones under center's proven himself because Jennings is just so beat up.
Dr. Denny Carter
Elik Isle Manor and Sterling shepherd there as well. We Talked about Fannin Jr, Michael Mayer for Brock Bowers and Cade Otten here guys as the Bucs look for Kade.
Jay Croucher
Otten had a 26% target share last week and I mentioned this in my 10 facts you need to know before week seven article, which is up now and free to read on NBCSports.com Rotterworld.com, of course I'm a company man. In games over the last two years where Kate Ont gets a north of 20% target share, he's averaging almost 15 fantasy points per game and so he had an over 20% target share last week. Even if you get Mike Evans back, you know Buka is banged up like you know there's not a lot of familiarity with Tez Johnson or Cameron Johnson for Baker Mayfield. So I do think tied Otten could get a more prominent target share against this line secondary that is so beat up.
Connor Rogers
Yep. Conor, as the preeminent expert on Sam Donald, how real do you think that Donald's first six weeks are and kind carry over to a defense like Houston because like by EPA believe he's been the best quarterback in football.
Dr. Denny Carter
It's the best he's ever played. Like people are missing not a lot of people now they're catching on but he this is not like Kevin o', Connell, you know last year where it's it's all baked in for you. This is Sam Darnold making plays that are above and beyond under Kubiak in that offense. Now the Houston defense does scare you a little bit but at some point a guy just is who he is and it's getting it done every week.
Connor Rogers
I went 14, three last year. And now he's been statistically advanced. Numbers underlying. That's the best quarterback in football of six weeks. So it might just be time to treat him. And also, like, he looks the part.
Dr. Denny Carter
Right?
Connor Rogers
He can make every throw and he's cutting out the bad ones that plagued him for so much of his career.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah, I mean, you're going to get a little fantasy regression at some point, but, no, I'm buying in. Like, this is now more of who he is.
Jay Croucher
Clint Kubiak over Kevin o' Connell in terms of coaching. That's what I heard from you. Jake Croucher. That's interesting.
Connor Rogers
Don't try to put me against my boy Koc.
Jay Croucher
It's interesting. It did sound like, to me like you bailed on your guy. Koc.
Dr. Denny Carter
The regulars are wondering.
Connor Rogers
I have a Cam Acres jersey at home. A Vikings Cam Acres jersey that hangs proudly on the wall.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, your crappy jerseys from secondhand stores don't count about, like, you know, like. Don't get me started about, you know, you and your baby.
Connor Rogers
You can't actually buy a Cam Acres Vikings jersey. You have to type in the name. I had to write in acres 27 like I was writing in croucher 50 something.
Dr. Denny Carter
It's Friday. That means you probably still have flexural frustration.
Jay Croucher
Jerry Lopez asking Tez over at Otten. What?
Dr. Denny Carter
Oh, go ahead.
Jay Croucher
I was going to ask.
Dr. Denny Carter
Help Jerry out.
Jay Croucher
All right, Jerry, here's what I will say. I think if Mike Evans is out, he's questionable right now. If Mike Evans is out, I would say Tez Johnson. If Mike Evans does play, I think Otten is more of the floor play and Tez Johnson is more of the, hey, you're hoping for one long one kind of thing, but if Evans is out, it's Tez regardless. That's kind of how it works.
Dr. Denny Carter
Let's bring in the doctor to help with more of these situations. It's time. Denny Carter, a licensed physician.
Matthew Berry
Barry, I stick up for your ankles, okay? I want you to remember that when. When the other guys are giving you a tough time about it. We need more ankles is what I'm saying.
Jay Croucher
I give the people what they want. That's what I do, Denny. I give the people what they want. They demanded more ankles. They love the ankles. They're obsessed with the ankles. You know, I'm part of the ankle wiki that they, you know, they said I've been charging, you know, people venmo me money, and I send them pictures of the ankles? Of course.
Connor Rogers
Yeah.
Jay Croucher
You know, subscription service. Yeah. Oh yeah. And if you. You can upgrade to the. To Ankle plus. And I send you pictures of the ankles covered in baby oil and I. It's a lot of stuff.
Connor Rogers
Bands that. In Mississippi.
Jay Croucher
Yeah. No, there's only certain states that I do it in. Yeah. But thank you, Denny. Thank you for your support.
Matthew Berry
That got weird. But it's okay.
Dr. Denny Carter
Flexural frustrations with our show. Dr. Denny Carter. Hello there, Denny.
Connor Rogers
Wow.
Dr. Denny Carter
I like like the two buttons open.
Connor Rogers
Unbelievable.
Matthew Berry
Well, I was kind of torn because if I have it up here, I don't want to copy Chris Sands. That's his look. So I have to have it open a little bit.
Jay Croucher
Yeah. Give some eye candy to the ladies out there.
Matthew Berry
I have been enjoying my Ankle plus subscription by the way. I've been sharing the login with some neighbors. People are into it.
Jay Croucher
I appreciate it.
Matthew Berry
I just wanted Matthew to know.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, I mean not the login sharing obviously. I want them all to do it, but. But no, thank you, Denny. Thank you for the subscription. Thank you for paying extra to DM me and for, you know, the used socks purchase. It's awesome, you know.
Dr. Denny Carter
Thank you, Joshua Hughes in the regulars chat. Denny is calling you the Chestler.
Jay Croucher
I like that. The Chestler.
Matthew Berry
Not that.
Jay Croucher
The Chesler. That might stick. That might stick. Chesler.
Dr. Denny Carter
That's your off hours nickname for now. You're the doctor, Denny. And we have some flexible frustrations for you. Starting with the rant. We know Sean McVay and his marriage to Puka Nukua. But a little bit of a separation here this weekend. Can Tutu Atwell. Yes. Tutu Atwell fill the void?
Matthew Berry
I think he can in a way. Okay. He can fill a void in a very volatile high variance way. We know this about some relationships. I've studied it very deeply, you know, in my doctoring over the years. Yeah. 22. Atwell should be a full time receiver this week against pass funnel Jaguars defense. You know, pukinakua accounted for 45 of the team's air yards. So that should. Some of that should go to two. Two at. Well, he's seeing 19 air yards per target. This is a stat. I have to share this with the folks. Per Zach Kruger of Rota World, my colleague Since 2023 in games without Puka Nakua, Tutu Atwell has averaged seven targets per game. He's a good flag flex.
Jay Croucher
I like it. I like it look to out. Well, look, I will say this. There's a 35% target share now obviously with Pukinaku out. Drake, Devonte Adams we talked about yesterday on the Love Show. I love Hate Show. He's my number three wide receiver. But the Jaguars are top five in the NFL in terms of most yards allowed on deep passes. So again, like, due to Atwell, who is somewhat of a deep threat, I sort of like the call here. Dr. Denny Carter, I get an email from a young lady who has a question for you. And she says. She says, matthew, please pass this along to Dr. Denny. She says to me, the other night, I was making love to my husband Pete, and we were making love to the song Beast of Burden by the Rolling Stones. And in the middle of our passionate lovemaking, he stopped and looked at me and said, burden, Burden. I wonder, should I start Luther Burden this week? Honey, I didn't know what he was talking about. Dr. Denny. We weren't able to finish our lovemaking because he's so concerned about Luther Burden. I'll choose a new song next time, but what should my husband do?
Matthew Berry
It's a good song for that activity, I will say so. Great selection there. This is obviously someone who knows their music, and I appreciate that. But, yeah, I think Luther Burden could be your Beast of Burden this week against the Saints. He only ran 40 of the routes last week against Matthew's commanders, but he was targeted on 31 of those routes, which is a very high rate. DJ Moore might be out. He did practice in a limited capacity on Thursday. We'll see what his Friday status is. But the Saints are allowing the 11th most fantasy points per game to wide receivers. So it is a good matchup, I think. I think we're going to see the Beast of Burden worked into this Bears lineup more and more as the season goes on.
Connor Rogers
Okay. Dr. Denny, wanted to talk to you about Flex with older men, which is a subject that's close to Matthew's heart.
Jay Croucher
It really is.
Connor Rogers
Sterling shepherd was born in the winter of 1993. He's 32 years old. Makes him a year younger than me, which doesn't make me feel great. But with the banged up receivers for the Bucs and also the banged up secondary for the Lions, can you start this older man and you flex Danny?
Matthew Berry
I think he can get it done. You know, one time. I don't know about multiple times. I don't know about the recoil situation here for Sterling Shepard, but I think one time, he can do it. Okay. It's. It's a good matchup against a banged up lion secondary. Mike Evans might still be out. We're gonna see. Keep it locked to rotoworld.com for for injury updates, I'm Mike Evans. Godwin is out. Abuka is out. Shepard could be the wide receiver one here in again another pass funnel matchup for the Bucks. This game has the second highest total of the week. There will be points to be scored here. It doesn't really matter that Sterling shepherd is not great at this point in his career. I think you can get away with it. It's a good game environment. You throw them in your flex.
Dr. Denny Carter
Great stuff as always, Denny's. And for more flexible frustrations, questions. Denny has a live Q and A promo that you could check out right after our show. Thank you, Denny. Thank you, Denny.
Jay Croucher
Definitely a recent photo, too. I like it.
Connor Rogers
Something about the hair in that photo.
Dr. Denny Carter
The doctor headshot looks like it's been taped on.
Jay Croucher
Yeah. It's not on there. Yeah. All right.
Dr. Denny Carter
We're taking our first break. When we're back, we're answering some of your questions. What's on tap is after the break.
Jay Croucher

Jay's transition skill is getting pushed to the limit and we found his breaking point. That's a great Jonathan. Yeah.
Jay Croucher
Matthew, you know what, I gotta tell you something. Jonathan Medici, 7 is having a strong week.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, he's been on the heater.
Jay Croucher
He's been on a heater this week.
Dr. Denny Carter
Like good volume play.
Jay Croucher
I would not be surprised if he is very high in the power rankings for the regulars come Friday tomorrow.
Dr. Denny Carter
You get a lot of carries, get a lot of targets.
Jay Croucher
You reach the end zone. Is he the Rico Dowdle? The regulars, like suddenly Medici getting a lot of run and all of a sudden he's.
Connor Rogers
Let's look more like the Bajan Robinson.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, he's high praise. I don't know. I don't know that he's breaking. More breakout, I think.
Connor Rogers
More breakout.
Jay Croucher
More than Rico Daddle of the regulars.
Dr. Denny Carter
Let's take a look at the week 7.
Jay Croucher
Whoa.
Dr. Denny Carter
Regular power rankings.
Connor Rogers
Unbelievable.
Jay Croucher
Medici up 6.
Dr. Denny Carter
The massive rise from Medici.
Jay Croucher
At what point does Clark Brady come out of that number one spot? Is it just. He watched 12 hours and so he's just. He's in there forever.
Dr. Denny Carter
No, I think next week is the potential week of the shakeup.
Connor Rogers
Wow.
Dr. Denny Carter
Medici though, clearly getting supplements from Dr. Denny Carter with this kind of rise.
Jay Croucher
I mean, there's something's happening here. Tej up two. Raise the flags dropping one. But that's fine. It's still a top three play. But Mr. T making his debut on the list. Aloha Bricks. He's slowly been climbing up.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah, he's on the floor with Aloha Bricks.
Jay Croucher
Absolutely Valiant Vincent was not ranked last week, but makes his debut on the list this week. Johnny Dangerously down three. Tough week for Johnny Dangerously. He needs to bounce back as well.
Dr. Denny Carter
Not enough risk this week with Johnny.
Jay Croucher
Dangerly, but it's nice to see some new names on the list. Ved is up there in who made.
Dr. Denny Carter
His dedicated to the show yeah, that's actually Eddie Vetta.
Connor Rogers
People don't know.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah, it's happy hour right now.
Jay Croucher
And Kjemma89 about to be deregulated. About ready to go. Regulation, right? What is it? When in the Premier League it's regulation. Relegated. Relegated.
Dr. Denny Carter
Regulation.
Connor Rogers
Deregulated is something completely different.
Jay Croucher
No, that's what the regulars are. But JSTabs, who do you think you are? Are others receiving votes? I like that. They. They make the list. They have some nominations. There you go. Congratulations to everyone that made the list. Good luck to everyone else next week if you can get in there. Hulk Medici up 6. That's a big move.
Dr. Denny Carter
New York rise. What's on tap brought to you Ty.
Connor Rogers
Simpson of five bets.
Jay Croucher
That's beating Georgia on the road. You know that's what that is. Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
What's on tap is brought to you by Bud Light, the official beer sponsor of the NFL. Sundays are easy to enjoy when they are full of football and the fridge is filled with beer. And we're gonna make it even easier for you by taking some of your questions.
Jay Croucher
Yes, sir.
Dr. Denny Carter
This is the first one right here from Ved who was on the power rankings. Of course. Half PPR picked two. Keenan Allen, Pacheco, Montgomery, Evans, Algier.
Jay Croucher
Okay, so it's a buffet of options. It really is. So here's what I'm going to tell you. First off, we're no on Pacheco. And so I think it really comes down to David, Mike Evans. Does Mike Evans play? If Mike Evans plays, then I think it's the two wide receivers. I think it's Mike Evans and Keenan Allen against that Colts secondary that we talked about earlier. Jay, that's so beat up.
Dr. Denny Carter
Right.
Jay Croucher
But if Evans is out, then I think it's Allen and Montgomery. You know I just Montgomery against that. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers run defense is really good. They're a pass funnel defense. I think this is a big Jared Goff and the wide receivers game. And obviously Gibbs gets more run than Montgomery. But if Evans is out, I certainly like Montgomery's chances of getting into the end zone more than like Pacheco or Algier.
Connor Rogers
Yep, I agree with that. Mike Evans, Evans also. They're not going to rush Mike Evans back. Like this team is playing the long game. They're minus 400 or whatever to win the NFC South. Like they are playing for January. And so if he's not right, then he won't play. If he is right, he's just going to be full go. I think he would just be Mike Evans. That you fully expect.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, I think that makes sense.
Dr. Denny Carter
Our next question here from Luke B. Who asks Kendrick Bourne, Matthew Golden, Bam Knight at the Flex.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, I mean, I think it's between the two wide receivers here. I don't want any part of, you know, the Arizona backfield there. We're still not sure if it's going to be Kyler Murray or Jacoby Brissette. Michael Carter gets too much run to make anyone comfortable. You know, I don't know that I love the matchup either against the Green Bay Packers. Right. So it's not Bam night. I think if I have to swing for the fences, I guess golden. But I have Kendrick Bourne ranked higher. I'm at 31. I have golden at 35. I just feel like again, even with the uncertainty because Bourne's production has been with with Mac Jones and there's a chance that Purdy plays this week, obviously you've got Kittle back. He's going to get some target share. There's a chance Ricky Pierce holds back this week as well. So there's a lot of unknown about Kendrick Bourne, but he's been so good for the last two weeks and that there's a chance that those guys are eased back in. I just, I feel better about Kendrick Bourne versus Matthew golden who like usually the packers, especially against Arizona feels like a big Josh Jacobs. Yay. Big Tucker Craft. Half day Dobbs has been good. I'm going to go with Bourne.
Connor Rogers
Yeah.
Jay Croucher
I don't know if you guys disagree with that.
Connor Rogers
No, I think like what the reporting seems to be trending towards is that Mac Jones again Kittle plays, Pearcell probably doesn't play and then Joanne Jennings, if he wants to flip around out there, he can play. But I would say your median outcomes the Kendrick Bourne is wide receiver one on the Niners this week catching passes from Mac Jones who he has a report with. The other thing is like you don't have to make the decision until Sunday. So if all those guys are going to play, then play Matthew Golden. If they're not, then Kendrick Bourne.
Jay Croucher
You have the opportunity, my friend Luke to ask us again Sunday morning on fantasy Football pregame at 11am right here on YouTube. And of course, Peacock, we go all the way till 1 o'. Clock. We answer more questions than any other pregame show. So yeah, you could ask it again. Maybe we'll have more information. But at the moment I think the answer is Kendrick Bourne.
Dr. Denny Carter
All right, our last question here from El Segundo Flex Sutton or JCM AKA Bill PPR League A Lot of flexual frustration.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, look, this is a tough one obviously because Sutton has been pretty good, but I'm going to go with Bill. I'm going to go with Jacori Koski Merit just the guaranteed touches of the running back. Eight team touches last week. In week six he got 78% of the team's running back touches. We've talked about this. Terry McLaurin once again, he's going to be out. Deebo Samuel is either going to miss this game or be less than 100%. So I could see them leaning on the run game in a game on the road at Dallas without a lot of pass pass catchers. Remember, the Cowboys have allowed 85 or more rushing yards to a running back in three straight games, including letting Rico Dowdle go for over 200 yards against him. I think it's JCM.
Dr. Denny Carter
I'm with you on this one, Matthew. The jets took away Sutton last week and Bo Nicks looked lost without him. Sutton had the one catch. You know, Sauce did a good job on him. But outside of a couple first quarter Evan Ingram questions the Broncos all passing offense. It's kind of hard to figure out after Sutton. So if the Giants go in and say we're going to do our best to take him away, you'd be a little nervous because of the usage to not go with Bill.
Jay Croucher
I think that's one of the under reported stories of the NFL so far this season is that Bo Nix has taken a big step back. He's been terrible. Yeah. I mean for a guy that everyone was so high on top 10 quarterback in fantasy. Right? Rightfully so. But I mean we also like this is a guy that like led them to a playoff game, you know, and they like threw a long touchdown against the Bills. I mean they ended up losing badly in that game. But like it wasn't because Nix was.
Connor Rogers
You know, but I think a lot of Knicks production last year came against bad defenses and it was the defense that largely carried the team. It was the best defense in football. And I think Connor was saying that, you know, what does Bo Nix do? He throws really short stuff and then he throws it deep and there's not, I don't think yet a lot of nuance with the intermediate stuff and the over the middle of the field stuff.
Dr. Denny Carter
Right. And he's not. When he started last year he was running a lot. Yeah, that helped a lot in fantasy but he, he's just, he's left a lot of throws out on the field so far this year. Maybe he picks it up and kind of. He did that last year. He was better in the second half but it just hasn't looked good. The Denver offense doesn't look great after last year.
Jay Croucher
Before this season. If you, if you rank the rookie quarterbacks from, from you know, rookie season, Jaden Daniels would have been number one by far probably then Knicks, then Williams or May and those two flip flop. Right. And then, and then you get into yeah, the Rattlers of the world and that kind of stuff. So but this year how would you rank them?
Dr. Denny Carter
So Jaden would still be number one over Drake May. Drake May would be.
Jay Croucher
I got into a fight with Patriots fans online, you know because my guy fnia.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah the desk which I mean listen.
Connor Rogers
It'S going to be.
Dr. Denny Carter
There's a lot of ball left like.
Jay Croucher
It'S Dev McCourty who's my guy? Devin. Devin was like giving me a little grief and he's just like ah, Drake, you know we were talking about the Patriots win and he's just like, you know Drake May the best quarterback of his class. I'm like whoa, whoa, whoa.
Connor Rogers
Jayden dad has had probably the greatest rookie season of all time and then won multiple playoff games including as a ten point dog in Detroit who's a Super bowl favorite. Drake May's been awesome. It's been six games basically this year.
Jay Croucher
He won a game on the road at Buffalo. That's the big thing Drake May's done this year.
Connor Rogers
Buffalo who just lost to the Falcons by 10 points and their defense isn't.
Dr. Denny Carter
Very good and Michael Penix is not a combo but he's, he's been better the last couple weeks.
Jay Croucher
Yeah but like would you put panics over Bo Nicks right now?
Dr. Denny Carter
This is biased for me because pre draft I thought he was.
Jay Croucher
You love Pennix.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah, I think he, I think he is a better quarterback individually than Bo Nix. Bonix is in a way better, more comfortable situation, an environment.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, take Spencer rattler over J.J. mcCarthy.
Dr. Denny Carter
That's a, that's a dangerous question. I have legitimate massive concerns about J.J. mcCarthy.
Jay Croucher
Forget fantasy for a second. If I just ask you re ranking, I would ask you to re rank the quarterbacks just from an envelope perspective because I just think this is interesting.
Dr. Denny Carter
It would be Jane Daniels number one which is saying something because I had Drake May over Jane Daniels before the draft but I think it'd be Jane Daniels 1, Drake May 2, Caleb 3. I think Caleb is playing pretty well.
Connor Rogers
I agree.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah. Then I would say Pennix, Knicks. Then you get into the McCarthy Rattler dark combo that is McCarthy Rattler. Which, like you need to see McCarthy play games.
Jay Croucher
You can punt that one. Yeah. Get a little more sample size before you have to.
Dr. Denny Carter
Funny. And you said greatest rookie season all time. Remember how good C.J. stroud's rookie season was?
Connor Rogers
It was good. I think Jaden was.
Dr. Denny Carter
Yeah, I think so. But it was.
Jay Croucher
It's close. By the way, RG3's rookie season was unbelievable too.
Connor Rogers
That was up there.
Jay Croucher
Yeah. That. I mean.
Connor Rogers
Yep. Yeah. Just coming back to Sutton. Jcm. I actually don't think this is close. I think it's just jcm. I think they're gonna have to run the ball. I think they're gonna do it like the Cowboys knew that Rico Dowdle was getting the ball every single time against the pit with the Panthers. Couldn't stop him. I just don't think this defense has the capacity to stop the run. JCMS rushing prop this week is 2 yards lower than Saquon Barkley. For context. So I tell you what, they have a big game, Right.
Jay Croucher
Here's hoping. Here's hoping. Yeah. He's on my team. Kevin Thomas says full PPR Flex 1 waddle with weather concerns or Rico Dowdle the Chubbler. The chubbly, chubby junior.
Connor Rogers
Yes.
Jay Croucher
Returning. It's not going to be a full chub, obviously, because you've got Rico Dowdle there. Yeah, it's a semi chub. It makes the chub go down a little bit. Obviously. But what's. Where are you here with Waddle?
Matthew Berry
Let's see.
Jay Croucher
He's on the road at Cleveland. That could be like.
Dr. Denny Carter
Talk about wild storm. Like wind.
Jay Croucher
It could be 50°. I mean, you know those.
Connor Rogers
Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
Well, at least you trust Tua and Dylan Gabriel in the bad weather. That's the good thing about that.
Connor Rogers
Tua's great. In that playoff game in Kansas City with the ice ball, you know what.
Dr. Denny Carter
The total's down to for that game?
Jay Croucher
That's it.
Dr. Denny Carter
It's hovering around 36 and a half.
Connor Rogers
So. So that's the tie break. Then you have to go Rico. I think.
Jay Croucher
No, it's not Rico. Rico. I think it's no question. Oh, he is. Oh. Or Rico the Chubbler returning. Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
The hardest questions we've gotten in weeks.
Jay Croucher
I thought he was asking about Chuba Hubbard. No, no. Then It's Rico Dowdle 1000%. It's Rico Dowdle against the Jets. Yes. Rico Dowdle is the answer there. But what do you think? This is a good question. And we just don't know. Right. So we're guessing here But. But what do you think Chuba Hubbard's workload this week is, Connor given? Listen, he was the guy. He's been productive. It's not like he lost a job because he was bad. He's been productive. They paid him last year, but they've won two in a row. Rico Dowdle has been all world.
Dr. Denny Carter
I'll say it's 40, 60. Chuba Dowdle.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, I was going to say.
Jay Croucher
That sounds about right.
Connor Rogers
Yeah, I was going to say early down is 50, 50 and then Rico gets the third down stuff.
Jay Croucher
I could see that too.
Dr. Denny Carter
Makes sense.
Jay Croucher
Although. But Hubbard started his career as a third down back. He was the third down back to McCaffrey when Chris McCaffrey was there. So I mean, I could see that.
Connor Rogers
Rico started this year as the third down guy.
Jay Croucher
I know, but you could see Rico Dowdle be the first and second down guys and they just flip the role.
Dr. Denny Carter
I go 40, 60. We're in favor of Dowdle.
Jay Croucher
It'd be interesting to see. But either way it's. I think he's a risky start. If you have Chuba. Hubbard. Right. You know, again, like you like them. You like the matchup against the jets here.
Connor Rogers
So Panthers favorite to go to 4 and 3.
Jay Croucher
Unbelievable in this economy.
Connor Rogers
Like the fifth worst thing in the league.
Dr. Denny Carter
That'll do it for what's on tap.
Jay Croucher
Presented by Bud Bryce, young comeback player of the year.
Dr. Denny Carter
Easy to drink, easy to enjoy. We also often argue you can't come back from being bad.
Jay Croucher
But Joe Flacco's done it once and might do it again.
Matthew Berry
Do it again.
Jay Croucher
One more break. We love the olds here.
Dr. Denny Carter
Jay and I have our best picks of the weekend for pickup lines right after this.
Jay Croucher

Crown.
Jay Croucher
Whose crown is it again? It's yours. Ah, okay. Thank you. That's helpful.
Dr. Denny Carter
That's why you get to choose. Ooh, yeah. So you picked Jay four times. You only picked me twice. We're both three and three.
Jay Croucher
Yeah.
Dr. Denny Carter
Jay, what do you got for Matthew.
Connor Rogers
This weekend on the last one. Cause we were three and I was three and two. And then Patrick Mahomes 257 and a half. Passing yards. Lost by half.
Jay Croucher
Lost by the half. Oh, my God.
Connor Rogers
Passing yards. It just kills you.
Jay Croucher
It's a bad beat.
Dr. Denny Carter
Matthew wisely chose the Rams to cover the Ravens.
Matthew Berry
That's right.
Connor Rogers
That's a good shot. Okay, we're gonna go over the hole half this time and win this one. Travis Hunter over 40 and a half receiving yards. I think this is too anchored to his production. As the lights go down.
Jay Croucher
Yeah.
Connor Rogers
And the lights come up.
Jay Croucher
Very romantic. It's like a. Yeah, you're mastering us.
Dr. Denny Carter
Off for the weekend.
Jay Croucher
No, it's like it's pickup lines. They're like they. They know I'm going home with one of you. And so they're like trying to set the mood a little bit.
Connor Rogers
I'm rattled now. All right. Travis Hunter over 40 and a half receiving yards. Basically last week he had seven targets. He just didn't turn them into actual production. He played 58 snaps, 78% of the snaps on offense. I think that against the Rams as an underdog, he will continue to get used. Get more of the Brenton strange usage and he'll go over 40 and a half.
Dr. Denny Carter
All right, Matthew. I got giants Broncos under 40 and a half. The giants have played six games. They've gone under this number in four of them. The Broncos have played six games. They've Gone under this number in four of them. The Broncos play very specific pace of play. It is low scoring. It is a lot of defense. And I think the Giants, it's been a lot of fun with Cam Scatterboo and Jackson Dart, but they're not going to let Jackson dart just run around like he's been able to. I think this is going to be a low scoring rock fight kind of game.
Jay Croucher
Yeah, I'm going to go home with Connor again. Look, I like that bet because Gleem Cohen has come out and said we need to get more plays for Travis Hunters. Everything like that. It's just I keep counting on Travis Hunter. I didn't see it. I have seen the Broncos and Giants both struggle on offense and I've seen them both be good on defense. Giants have had 10 days to prepare for this game. I'm going home with Connor. Hey, listen, that music means you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.
