Off to the races and he stays at his feet. Chris is going to go the distance. Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath. Oh, a big show today. A big week. Last night we had the podcast league draft 14 teams PPR. We'll tell you about that at the end of the show. Some takeaways from a 14 team league. Tonight we have the podcast Super Flex League draft. Heath and I are in that one. That's 10 Team Super Flex. We've got the draft a thon show tomorrow, Wednesday 5 to 8pm we have amazing guests coming on from around the industry, from not in the industry from cbs. We're gonna have one hour of Jamie laughing hysterically. When will Brinson and Pete Prisco and Nando Defino do ridiculous things? So be there. YouTube.com fantasy football today. That is tomorrow, Wednesday at 5 to 8pm Eastern. Welcome everybody to Fantasy Football Today presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas. Today we have the best and worst values according to average draft position and we have something called the All FFT team. Dave, are you excited for the All FFT team?
Adam
Hell yeah. What's the all FFT team?
Dave
I looked at consensus rankings.
Jamie
Heath and Dan.
Adam
Adam's gonna screw this up somehow. Go ahead.
Dave
I looked at the consensus rankings on cbs. So Jamie, Heath, compare that to ADP on both fantasy pros and CBS and came up with the players that you guys are higher on than ADP by the most spots basically. So you know, here's Jamie's guys, here's Dave, guys. Here's. He's. Well, here's CBS's guys, basically. So I think it'll be fun. Okay.
Adam
All right.
Jamie
Okay.
Adam
Yeah, I want to hear about that.
Dave
Should we start with that?
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
How was your vacation?
Dave
Vacation? My three day vacation, it was really good. We got there, we got to our little beach hotel on Saturday and they go, hey, the beach is closed because of the hurricane that was stirring up the water in the Atlantic and nobody's allowed on the beach. And then on Sunday and Monday we were allowed on the beach but not in the water. So. But other. But we. I didn't care. It was great. We had a really nice time. It was good to relax for a bit. Thank you for asking. And thank you for filling in for me yesterday.
Adam
Jamie, how was your three day vacation?
Jamie
I slept two hours last night.
Dave
All right, here's the all FFT team players that we're higher on than consensus. No, then sorry. Than adp.
Jamie
Okay.
Dave
It. They're not great names at quarterback. Nothing too juicy. We're a little higher on Justin Fields. We have him 10th. He's going 12th. Little higher on Jared Goff. He's going. We have an 11th. He's going 13th. Little higher on Jordan Love. Actually we have him 14th, he's going 17th. And Trevor Lawrence, we have him 16th, he's going 20th.
Adam
We have four quarterbacks on our all FFT team.
Dave
I would say love and Lawrence and.
Adam
I would say waited till round 15 to get two quarterbacks on our all FFT team.
Dave
Yeah, I mean ADP and rankings are pretty similar at quarterback, running back, the team's chances at the top. We like Gibbs over Barkley. We like Chase Brown and Bucky Irving ahead of Jonathan Taylor and Kyron Williams. Not Josh Jacobs. We like. We like Brown and Bucky over Taylor and. And Kyron. We're a little higher on Ken Walker. We have in 15th, he's going 17th. This is on Fantasy Pros. We definitely are higher on Travy. On Henderson we have him as RB16. He's going 20th on CBS and 18th on fantasy pros. We're actually higher on Chuba Hubbard. We never. Jamie, we never really talk about Chuba Hubbard. He gets lost in the excitement of Travion Henderson and the falling of Breeze hall and the question marks of Ken Walker. And then there's Chuba Hubbard who we have 17th.
Jamie
I just moved him ahead of Camara last night.
Dave
Oh, Camara is basically arguably the worst ADP on cbs. He's at the.
Jamie
It's so bad.
Dave
Two, three, turn right.
Adam
Unless he hear where he's going on nfc.
Dave
Unless Camara just does what he does every year and then he's good there.
Jamie
Don't think he will.
Dave
No, we don't think so, but no, I mean, yeah. So you moved Chuba Hubbard ahead of. Who'd you say? Camara.
Jamie
Yeah.
Dave
Yeah. Talk about Chuba Hubbard real quick because we have him 17th. He's RB20 on 17th at running back. He's RB20 on fantasy pros. And let's see, if not really a big discrepancy on cbs, but yeah, good. Chuba Hubbard.
Jamie
I think he's a safe number two running back. You know, you saw what he was able to accomplish last year. I don't think Rico Dowdle and Trevor Etienne had some concerns after the draft and free agency that maybe they would cut into his workload, but I don't think that's necessarily going to be the case. To a huge degree it seems like they like Rico on third downs based on what we saw in the preseason. But I don't think it's going to hinder him from being a top 20 caliber running back. You know, depending on where you think he'll finish, whether that's closer to, you know, 13 or, you know, 18, 19. I would take all three of Triple H over him because I think there's more upside with those three guys. But I think if you're just looking for a safe fallback running back, very easy pick at the back end around four.
Dave
Okay. Who else at running back? Okay, so. So the funny thing about this is the ones that really show up are the later guys. Zach Charbonnet, Braylon Allen, Tank Bigsby, Austin Eckler. On Fantasy pros, we're a lot higher on Zach charbonnet. We have 31. He's going 34th on fantasy pros. Braylon Allen, huge riser. 34th. We have him. He's going 43rd. It's a little deceiving because he's going earlier in Fantasy pros. Dave, you mentioned it yesterday. They have this kind of real time ADP over the last 24 hours and Braylon Allen is, I think around 105th overall. He's probably closer to where we have him, but we're higher on Tank Bigsby, too. On CBS. Jalen Warren, we're higher on the NADP. We have him as RB28 in our consensus PPR rankings going 31st. Jordan Mason, 30th on in consensus 35. So I think 35 and ADP. So guys like Charbonnet these like these, these backup running backs that are going to have a role. Jordan Mason, Zach Charbonnet, Braylon Allen, Jalen Warren, if you want to call them a backup, whatever. We're a little higher on them than consensus now. It gets more fun at wide receiver and I would say Nico Collins. Nico Collins and Cortland Sutton are big ones for us. We have Nico as wide receiver four. He's going sixth on Fantasy Pros. He's going seventh on cbs. So we have him ahead of Malik Neighbors and Aman Ross St. Brown in our consensus rankings. Sutton is just way ahead. We have him 17th. Sutton is 24th on CBS. Jerry Judy is another one. We're like eight spots ahead with Jerry Judy on in according to consensus rankings versus adp. Now some of that I think might be Heath, but I think everyone is at least a little bit ahead of ADP with Jerry.
Adam
What is ADP?
Dave
Jerry Judy on fantasy pros. His ADP is 36. We have him as wide receiver 26th on CBS. It's 31 and we have Judy at 26. We're much higher on Jalen Waddle. We have him 27th and he's going 36th on CBS and 31st in fantasy pros. And you know, JSN on CBS we have him as wide receiver 13. Basically we have JSN ahead of the older guys, Devonte Adams, Mike Evans and Tyreek Hill. And he is being drafted after them. So those were really the big ones. The wide receiver was the most interesting, I would say. Nico, Cortland Sutton, JSN to a degree. Jerry Judy are probably the headliners. Taroa McMillan an honorable mention as well. And then tight end. The only guy that I think we're a lot higher on in terms of he's tight end X for us and tight end Y and ADP would be Najoku. I think it's tight end four for us in consensus and tight end eight and adp.
Adam
But in that way all off season.
Dave
But we are higher on Trey McBride just in terms of where he's being drafted. We have Trey McBride as a 2, 3 turn player and his ADP is closer to the 3, 4 turn and we're a little higher on George Kittle. We have him around 33rd and he's going about 38th or so. The biggest takeaway at tight end guys is that we are so much lower on the mid round tight ends. You know, guys like Laporta and Kelsey and Hawkinson, they're going around 60th or so overall and we like these guys more 75, 80 like that. So wait to get that value at tight end with those mid round guys or just take Najoku again, you know, wait, wait there. He should not be. He shouldn't. He's probably like in the 80s or 90s in terms of where we have him. So that's. Dave, what's your reaction to or the all FFT team?
Adam
Well, first of all, I think we could definitely put together a competitive team. I would like to think we could do better at quarterback than what we've got. But if we started the year with fields and golf, I, I wouldn't have.
Dave
A problem with that.
Adam
We'd probably end up starting golf more weeks than fields. The tight ends. I think we've all bought in to the phrase that Jamie coined, greater late. It's such a great phrase and it makes so much sense and I think fantasy managers understand that it's a great strategy because when you take the tight ends early with high expectations and they hit. Yeah, of course you're going to be thrilled that you've got that difference maker on your team. It's just the hope that they hit. I think this year there's only three names on that list. I think all three of them have a great chance to hit and therefore waiting on tight end, it's so much easier to do because I, I, I really just think you're the differentiators between Tucker Kraft, T.J. hawkinson, Mark Andrews. You can rank them any way you want. I know that the guys are more excited about Hawkinson and Andrews than I am, but they're all in that range of 10 to 12 ppr point per game tight ends and the fact that you can get them late round seven through round nine just seems like really good value. Especially when the running back and receiver positions start to peter out a little bit. It's a great pivot to make if you don't take a tight end early.
Jamie
Adam, just while we're on the topic, we did, we did our pick by pick yesterday.
Dave
Yeah.
Jamie
Would you like to know where those tight ends went amongst us?
Dave
Yeah.
Jamie
Okay.
Adam
So did they go great or late?
Dave
Well, I just gotta say, Jamie, hold on. You gotta. So when you lean forward, I can't.
Jamie
Really hear you, so I know I'm, I just had to get to, I'm referring to more the middle tight ends, that group. So Laporta went around seven. Yeah. Which we will never see on most drafts.
Adam
Nope. I took him on a team with like two other Lions players.
Jamie
Don't know if I took The Porter round seven, I took Nijoku. Kelsey went round eight. I'm sorry. Hawkinson went around seven. I bet you can't guess who took him. Kelsey went around eight, Najoku went right after him in round eight and then Ingram went in round 10.
Dave
Okay. All right.
Jamie
So I, I built one team where I just completely punted on tight end and I took Ferguson and Pitts with my last two picks.
Dave
If I were going to put a thumbnail up for the all fft team, it would be Nico Collins and Cortland Sutton. And then you heard Jacob came on last week and talked about how if you remove under center snaps, if you remove scrambles, if you remove screens players, the guys that have the best target per out run rate or yards per out run rate. Yards per out run rate on like a typical drop back. Courtland Sutton really excelled there. So I know he's high on Cortland Sutton too. We all seem to really like Cortland Sutton, as Jamie's mentioned this a lot. But from weeks eight through 17 he was amazing. He was on pace for 104 catches, 1,343 34 yards and nine touchdowns. And that by the way is removing week 18. Because week 18 was this monster week where the Chiefs benched their starters, the Broncos played theirs. You even take that out and Cortland Sutton was amazing from weeks eight through 17.
Jamie
All right, don't take it out though. It makes it better.
Dave
Yeah, if you leave it in, it's even better. But if you want.
Jamie
Why would you take away Bo Nix's 40 plus point game?
Dave
I mean, I would, I, I would do that personally because he's playing a preseason game.
Adam
Almost eight targets per game for Sutton last year and he's in sync with Bo Nix again this year. We saw it in the preseason and the joint practices. Alpha receiver.
Dave
I want to get your best and worst values. I'm going to ask you for two great values based on adp, two bad values based on adp. First though, let me tell you about the draftathon. So the show is tomorrow, Wednesday, 5 to 8pm Eastern. We are going to have guests from, you know, different sites, different publications on our show. We're also going to have non sports guests. So I think just one actually. But it'll be really fun, really funny. So join us@YouTube.com fantasy football today 5pm to 8pm Eastern. And of course we're raising money. We're going to try to get over the 200,000 mark for St. Jude and we need you to help us out with that. So tomorrow is going to be a fundraiser. If you're watching on YouTube, you can just donate there and we're, you know, we're really looking forward to it.
Jamie
We have an updated total after Heath's big day and which we really get a chance to talk to him. That's my fault. His big day in Memphis.
Dave
I honestly don't know if it's included in what I'm seeing on the website, which is 168,000. I don't think it is.
Adam
I don't think it is either.
Dave
So yeah, I don't know. Give me two great values based on average draft position. And by the way, it's I think difficult to figure out which ADP to use. You know fantasy Pros has that 24 hour ADP. They've used NFC ADP over the last 10 days. Jamie used CBS ADP. So I actually think it's good. We're going to give you different sites, different ADPs and we'll compare them. But Dave, give me two great values.
Adam
I'm going to start with Alvin Camara at 48.3. This is from. You just said it, Adam. NFC ADP. These are competitive buy ins. Lots of really good fantasy drafters playing against one another over the last 10 days. It's 170 drafts so they get a lot of people joining their leagues. And Alvin Camara is going basically at the end of round four, maybe trickling into the start of round five. And I can't resist that. I think I'm the high guy on Camara amongst the three of us. But even our consensus is middle round four and we know that he's got a high ceiling. I know our ADP at cbs, it's a little bit too high. I think part of that might be because of the projections that Sportsline has for Alvin Kamara. They are all in on Alvin Kamara having another big year and I think if he stays healthy he can get there. So really somebody that I love getting in round four, I would even consider taking him full ppr. I need a running back. Round three is fine with me for him. But I really think that ADP is fantastic for Alvin Kamara and I, I also like the ADP for Patrick Mahomes on NFC. He's going about 71st overall, sixth quarterback off the board. That's not a surprise. But I like that you're getting him at the end of round six. I think that's more than a fair value for a quarterback who hasn't delivered expectations over the course of two full seasons. But there have been moments in each of the last two and specifically last year, like the last two thirds of last. Even last season. Excuse me. Mahomes was good and I think he can still be good. We don't know how the Rice suspension could impact him, but they've got a bunch of pass catchers. The offensive line looks better, Pacheco is a good running back, but I don't know what else they really have in their backfield that could. That they're going to lean on. I think Mahomes has a chance to be better than what his ADP suggests.
Dave
I wanted to ask you guys about that because that was one of the things that really stood out from the Bears Chiefs game, which was the best of the preseason week three games. It was starters versus starters for about a quarter and man was Patrick Mahomes aggressive. So they spent all off season talking about how aggressive they're going to be, how they're going to throw the ball downfield more, how they're going to be more explosive. And this is the most important thing for Mahomes. His 20 plus yard touchdown passes over the last seven seasons. 15, 15, 15, 11, seven. Still had a great year when he only had seven. But then the last two years, three touchdowns of 20 or more yards, four touchdowns of 20 or more yards, that's seven combined in the last two seasons. They. I just thought that he, he. I just thought that he looked like a guy that was determined to get back to what he was. I drafted him last night in the podcast league, 62nd overall. But that was my biggest takeaway from, from preseason week three was that the Chiefs offense looked extremely different than the junk we saw the last two years of. Short, short, short, short, short.
Jamie
What are your expectations for him with Rice and without Rice?
Dave
Well, Rice was on the field, actually. That was the other part of this. Like if they do this, it's probably bad for Rasheed Rice. So I think they just. Well, he's not going to get nearly as many targets if he's being targeted downfield. But with and without Rice, you know, I don't really know how it's going to play out. He.
Jamie
He was, I mean, is it. Well, let me rephrase. Is rice a 2 point boost for him, a 4 point boost for him? Like, because he's going to be around 20 points per game. I mean at the floor. The floor will be 20 points. Like we've seen the worst of him.
Dave
It's not about Rice to me, Jamie, it's about Worthy. You Know, I, Rice is. Rice is fine. Worthy is the X factor. They were so bad.
Jamie
I guess my point would be is both of them there makes him potentially elite. I think he could be one of them there could. Could hamper him to an extent.
Adam
In his last 10 games of 2024, Mahomes averaged 24 fantasy points per game. Rice was on the field for zero of them.
Dave
Right? Yeah.
Adam
So to answer your question, I do think that Rice provides a boost. It could be two to three points per game.
Dave
That's a lot.
Adam
That's a lot. Maybe two. And I, I think when Rice plays, it's going to be terrible for Kelsey when, when Rice plays. I think Rice and Kelsey are probably going to be the ones that might benefit from teams playing heavy zone coverage too high safety trying to deter the Chiefs from throwing deep downfield. I just think the Chiefs have come up with some new ways to beat that coverage downfield and I, that's what gets me a little bit more amped from homes. And if they can't do it all right, then they'll just, you know, death by a million paper cuts by throwing a bunch of eight yard slants to Rice and you know, some digs and hitch patterns to Kels.
Jamie
I, I just think it's, it, to be honest, like personnel clearly matters here. I think the offensive line being improved is huge.
Adam
It's very.
Jamie
But I, I really think it comes down to what their mindset is because it's, it's pretty clear based on how they play most of their games. Hey, we need you to go get a score in the fourth quarter. He goes and gets one field goal touchdown. Whatever puts them in, in position to, to do what they have to do. He's just that good. If they want to do that on every drive and not just, you know, settle for this, you know, you say death by paper cuts. Last year it felt like death by death. You know, just watching them play in a lot of cases because it was just so painful and they now have the ability with everybody there for however long. Everybody's there. With Brown as the third receiver with a field stretcher and Taekwond Thornton with what Rice and, and still Kelsey can do if he's in better shape and all these things, like if the mindset is, hey, get to November, December and then flip the switch, then we're probably going to be frustrated by the Chiefs offense again. If it's, hey, I want to be back in the MVP conversation, I'm, I'm padding my, my legacy now. It's not just rings, it's its numbers. And he could be a 5,000 yard passer. I mean, we know he's capable of that. So his pendulum swings very much in, in, you know, I think the top five range because he can get there easily. And you also could be saying, I can't believe I didn't take Baker Mayfield or Bonix or Dak Prescott or even Justin Fields and Drake May, you know, because they're running and I wasted a pick on Patrick Mahomes around 6.
Dave
Yeah, you could. All right, well, I'm going to get Jamie's two great values after I tell you about BetMGM. If you haven't signed up for BETMGM yet, use the bonus code Fantasy and you're going to get up to a 1500 dollars first bet offer on your first wager with BetMGM. So here's what you do. The next chapter of Audi is here.
Dave
Jamie's looking at CBS average draft position and what'd you come up with in terms of two of your favorite values?
Jamie
Two of my favorite values would be Demario Douglas at 203 overall, which is just laughable. And I'll go with, I don't want to say like somebody who's going to start to rise. So like Ollie Gordon's just silly at 140, but I'll say Dylan Sampson at 179 even though he's going to rise.
Dave
So yeah, I could look at Dylan Sampson in the real time fantasy pros ADP142, and he's going eight spots ahead of Jerome Ford. So he's RB46, and Jerome Ford is RB52. Do you think 142nd sounds about right for Dylan Sampson?
Jamie
No, too low.
Adam
Way too low.
Dave
And you guys did talk about this yesterday, but you're, you're definitely favoring him over Jerome Ford at this point.
Adam
Yes, he's looked better. I thought he actually looked outstanding in the preseason run that he got with Flacco and starters last weekend.
Jamie
I'll go back to what I said yesterday. Like, the pass protection could be an issue. You know, just. We'll see how that holds up.
Adam
Right? So that could take that. He, I don't think he's going to play very many passing downs. I think that's still going to be Jerome Ford's back, but he, he just looks like a faster, more impactful type of runner than Jerome Ford. And Ford looked good, too. I just think that Sampson's better, and he feels like the type of running back that you could draft late and potentially start week one against Cincinnati.
Dave
All right, Jamie, how about two bad values based on CBS average draft position?
Jamie
I mean, one is just laughable, and that's Camaro, you know, so I, I, you can like camara. Dave said third round, that's fine. I wouldn't touch him there. 26th overall, there's no way I would take him there. So that, to me is just, you're, you're really hoping that he's going to be the exact same guy or, or maybe better. And I can't, I can't buy into that. The other one that I would say is a little too soon for me would be LaPorta at 58. It just, it's hard to envision him living up to that round. Capital draft round capital when there's so many other tight ends. You can just wait for it. That could be similar production, if not better.
Adam
Here are some players that are in our consensus rankings 26 through 30. Think about these names compared to Camara, Lad McConkey, JSN, James Cook, and then a couple of quarterbacks. Omarion Hampton's in there, George Kittle's in there. I, I don't know if you can make an argument for Camaro over any of those guys, even though Camara has been ultra productive for all but, like, one of his last five years. And it's because we're worried about the Saints offense. I'm not worried about Camara and his talent. I know that he's not getting a ton of long runs. Adam, you've illustrated that. I. I think it's a lot more about how bad this offense could be and how many touchdowns they might not score. But that being said, like, Camara is still a candidate to average 15 PPR points per game and if you draft them accordingly, you should be fine. But that does mean middle of round three at the absolute earliest and round four if you can make it happen.
Dave
Camara hasn't had a run longer than 30 yards in four years.
Adam
But how many receptions does he have longer than 30 yards?
Dave
That's a good question.
Adam
I'll look it up if you don't know the answer.
Dave
No, I don't. But in half, in half PPR he has never been worse than 14th per game. He has been worse than 10th per game only once. And in his last four years in half PPR he's been 5th, 14th, 8th and 6th per game. And again, he hasn't had a good, he hasn't been a good rusher in any of those seasons. You want more inspiration for Alvin Camara? And by the way, I haven't drafted Alvin Camara at all because I, you know, I don't want these older guys 30 years old.
Jamie
What did your team look like last night though?
Dave
Why super old did you go McCaffrey, McCaffrey, Tyree kill. Super, super safe. Oh yeah, and James Connor. But I was pissed about I didn't want to take on her 2023 Breece hall was the number 11 running back per game in non PPR but fifth and sixth per game and half in full PPR with the jets being the third lowest scoring team in the NFL in 2022. Jonathan Taylor played one snap in his last game of the season. If you remove that game he would have been about RB11 per game and this. And the Colts had a terrible offense Even in his 10 healthy games in 2022 Derrick Henry was on the fifth lowest scoring offense in the NFL and he was RB4 overall. So I'm giving you three straight years. Not last year but 2220. Oh no. Twice in 2022. Once in 2023. 20 terrible offenses. Top 12 running backs in two cases, top six running backs. It can happen.
Jamie
So can you before it disappears. Can you post John Bernstein's comment so you can address that?
Dave
What is the why the discrepancy between your consensus and CBS rankings? Aren't you cbs?
Jamie
So our consensus is the combination of the rankings for Dave, Keith and myself. The CBS rankings or projections are Sportsline and that is something that we do not contribute to. So in the draft room, if you are looking to sort by our rankings, you could do so individually. So there's a drop down for Dave for Heath and me. You could also do it by CBS rank, which would be the projections you do by average app position. So there's different ways to get your.
Adam
I think there's a consensus.
Dave
There is. There's an expert expert average ranking too. So you can do that, which I like. Then I don't get that Jamie doesn't go, oh, you're just using my rankings all the time.
Jamie
Well, I know you are, but in any event, you can that that's the answer. Hope that solves that. Yeah. Thank you. I will say this about Camara just to, you know, piggyback on what Heath said because if this comes to fruition, he's probably going to be in trouble because if you're banking on him as a runner in this offense, it could be awful. Heath has talked about this time and again that the last three stops for Kellen Moore in Dallas, the Chargers and the Eagles, he's had running backs that have proven to be good catching the ball, two in particular in Eckler and Saquon Barkley and their receiving numbers came crashing down. He also likes Heath likes to bring up what he did with Zeke previous to post with, with and without Kellen Moore. And Zeke's receptions also came down. So if Camara does not have 70 plus catches and is not a better runner, it could be awful. Yeah.
Adam
And he was averaging over 6 targets per game last year. Adam, you said that he has no 30 yard runs in his last four years. He has six receptions of at least 30 yards. Half of them came last year. He also has another three catches of at least of exactly, I should say 29 yards over the last four seasons, including one last year. So there's still examples of Camara getting huge chunk plays, but they've come through the air, not on the ground.
Jamie
I don't want to just made a big cut. Adam. They just cut the veto. Can you guess?
Dave
Well, I knew they cut the veto. Someone else?
Jamie
Yeah. No big time playmaker for them in the preseason.
Dave
Jalen Hyatt?
Jamie
Nope.
Dave
Who? Greg Dulcich? I was about to say. All right, moving on. Moving on. Jamie, two bad values. Oh, you gave us Camara and Laporta. Dave. Two bad values.
Adam
Let's start with Garrett Wilson, who in NFC is somehow still going as a top 30 pick. I don't understand that one. I'm very nervous about Garrett Wilson given not just Justin Field's troubles as a passer this preseason, but just overall I I don't buy what Heath sells as far as him being an improving improvement as a passer. Heath's talked about all these metrics that have gone up for Justin Fields over the last three years. Here's one that's gone down over the last three years. Touchdown rate. Garrett Wilson needs those if he's going to be a good receiver for fantasy. We've already talked about how his player prop is four and a half touchdowns. That's his over under for the season. It seems crazy low. Why wouldn't everybody just take the over? Makes me think that the the odds makers know a little something we don't about what these jets are going to do. And Aaron Glenn's talked about it all off season long that they want to be a team that runs the football a lot. They've got three great running backs plus a rushing quarterback and I think defenses are going to know where to tilt their coverage when it's third and long or when it's the fourth quarter and you know the defense is up six points with two minutes to play. Garrett Wilson's going to be tightly covered. I think 30th overall is way, way, way too soon for somebody like that. And we've also talked about the slide of DJ Moore and DJ Moore. Where do you think we were drafting him at the beginning of the off season? So our January and February drafts is around four.
Dave
Yeah, four or five.
Adam
Yeah, that's where he still is now, but we've got so much more information about how he's not running downfield as much, at least during the preseason and in the joint practice that I he's a backup running back that he might be, although he he said he doesn't really like that. We'll see how many how much he does that. Romo Dunes is making plays further downfield. Colson Loveland definitely has made occasional plays downfield and could continue to do more of that. I don't think Luther Burden is going to be a contributor early on in the season, but he could certainly work his way into a role that could further cut DJ Moore. I know DJ Moore is going to play a lot. He made his numbers pop in fantasy because of high target volume and I'm nervous that he's not going to see that same type of target volume. And if you pair that with a low a dot, he might have a lot of six for 55 type weeks. And that's a receiver that I don't want to really draft until round six at the absolute earliest. In fact, if he's going to get six or 55 a lot, I'm not drafting him anywhere near round six. But maybe you can score some touchdowns.
Dave
Every now and then.
Adam
We know the offensive line continues to be a factor for Chicago as well. That could hamper everybody there. I think DJ Moore going before the end of round four is just way too soon.
Dave
Okay, so NFC ADP does tend to be a little more wide receiver heavy, I'd say, but it's probably. He's probably just going too early anyway. By the way, you know, you mentioned Heath saying that Garrett, that Justin Fields has improved as a passer. Even if you don't, don't agree with that. Heath is the lowest on Garrett Wilson. So I think we're all going to say Garrett Wilson going a little too early. Yeah, you have that. He's 25th for Heath, and you guys have him 23rd. Garrett Wilson, PPR, DJ Moore. So would you guys rather have Tataro McMillan or DJ Moore? TMAC McMillan, Terry McLaurin or DJ Moore?
Jamie
I moved McLaren ahead of DJ Moore.
Adam
Yeah, where'd you put him? Because I know that you were kind of sour on him before I moved.
Jamie
Him to 30 or 29. 30. DJ Moore is like 33.
Adam
Okay, I. I like McLaren as a top 24 receiver. Well into the top 24.
Dave
Okay. Yeah, we were about to get to that. So give me one more. How about. How about Calvin Ridley or DJ Moore?
Jamie
Ridley.
Adam
It feels a little weird to say that, though, but it's. It's because I expect Ridley to be eight targets per game with further downfield looks as the clear cut number one receiver in Tennessee. I really think that he and Cam Ward look great together. Preseason joint practice. I'm happy to take Ridley.
Dave
All right, let's do some news and notes here, and we will talk about Terry McLaurin. First, let's talk about Joe Mixon. Joe Mixon is going to miss at least the first four games of the season. There's nothing to say. Okay, we'll skip the Texans backfield then.
Adam
No, no, no, no, no. I mean, I. I don't. I don't know. I won't speak for Jamie. I don't know when I'd feel comfortable taking Joe Mixon at this point. It's. I'm starting to worry that he may not play this year.
Dave
Yeah, he hasn't practiced, as Dave said yesterday, since May.
Jamie
Well, it's. It's not only that he's eligible to return in week five. They Have a buying week six. So you may not be able to use him until week seven at the earliest. It would be very surprising if they rushed him back to have a week off the following week. Unless he's just been ramped up and ready to go. But yeah, it's, it's, it's a tough one. It, you know, between him and Quinshawn Judkins at this point, it's very funny. In the Flex drive, I was not funny. But in the Flex draft, which was the beginning of August, I took Joe Mixon in round. It was either eight or nine, I don't remember. And right afterwards Judkins went and it was Jay Feliciano, G Man J on, on Twitter, another fantasy analyst. And, and we, we both said like, yeah, if it works out, we got steals at this point. And now here we are almost a month later, like, can I can have that pick back?
Dave
I took mixing 100th overall last week in a 14 team league.
Jamie
I think 100 mixing over Pacheco.
Dave
No, that was a mock, right? Oh yeah. So I, I guess when you get to the point of. I remember the guys, I said that we're higher on Zach Charbonnet, Braylon Allen.
Jamie
Jordan Mason is mixing not even close by a mile.
Adam
Yeah.
Dave
All right, how about like I've been.
Jamie
Like that for, for a long time though.
Dave
How about Cam Scatterboo?
Adam
I'm not sure if I'm there yet.
Dave
How about Nick Chubb versus Zach Charbonnet, Braylon Allen?
Jamie
Oh, the, the trio. I said this yesterday on CBS Sports Network. You know, bold prediction for me is Charbonnet Mason and Braylon Allen will outscore their respective backfill teammates without an injury.
Dave
So Nick Chubb. Okay, fine. Let me see. Nick Chubb versus.
Jamie
I just think that the situation with Chubb is you're, if you're drafting Nick Chubb ahead of Joe Mixon, you're expecting Missing to miss the season. Because when Mixing comes back, he's going to be the best Texans running back in theory.
Dave
Well, probably. But you know, Nick Chubb does get a at least four week audition. And let's talk about the matchups here.
Jamie
He was so bad last year though.
Dave
He was, but he was coming off a serious injury and now he's coming off another serious injury.
Jamie
Yeah, I mean he's, he's 29. His, the mileage on his body probably makes him 32 and you know, 3.3 yards per carry last year was the worst of his career. He had no games over 65 yards rushing or 66 yards rushing. Like it was. It was bad.
Dave
So you take down. Are you taking Dylan Sampson or Nick Chubb?
Jamie
Dylan Sampson over Mixon and Chubb.
Adam
Yes.
Dave
Wow. Okay. The Rams last year were pretty bad against running backs, but they got better down the stretch. They have a young defense. It doesn't seem like a great matchup in week one for the Texans. The Bucks, not a good matchup. Only one running back in their last nine games rush for more than 43 yards against the Bucks. That's week two for the Texans. The Jaguars, well, one of their top defensive tag, Eric Armstead, still injured.
Jamie
Right.
Dave
Or is he back? I'm not sure, but that's week three. They were an okay run defense. They were pretty bad down the stretch though. The Titans usually really good against the run. The, the Ravens are week five. They were one of the best run defenses in football. So that's your first five games, then a buy. It's not a great schedule unless Sevyn.
Adam
Seattle and Denver after that.
Dave
Yeah, yeah. I mean, but that's so far off. But you're just talking about Nick Chubb. Guaranteed first four games. You know, I don't even know if it's going to be him. I mean, he's going to start. But Damian Pierce, Damian Pierce had a huge game in Week 18 last year, which I had completely forgotten about because they were resting their starters. Pierce is coming back from an injury. There is Woody Marks. But that's, that's the way it could be messy.
Jamie
And, and listen, last year in the three games that Mixon was out, Ogumba, Wally was their third down back. And so, you know, does, does he still have a role? Like it could be awful.
Dave
Oh, he will be. He will be their third down back. I feel confident. All right.
Adam
If the team, if he makes the team. And don't forget about the offensive lines.
Dave
Someone will be their third down back. It won't be Nick Chubb. I'll say that.
Jamie
I'm sure part of the move to put him on the nfi, you know, opposite of what the Bucks are doing was to make sure that they can get all four running backs through on the roster.
Dave
All right, guys, I'm going to take a break here because we got to talk about the Raiders wide receivers. We got to talk about McLaren and more. We'll be right back after this.

See store online for details. Well, well, well, Amari Cooper is back. He signed with the Raiders. Jacoby Myers is asking for a trade. He wants a new contract and we haven't talked about Dante Thornton Jr. Much. He's a rookie, a fourth round pick for the Raiders. He's kind of outshined Jack Besh and Thornton averaged a nation tops in the nation 25.4 yards per catch last year. Jamie, give me your take on the Raiders wide receivers and what it means for Brock Bowers.
Jamie
I don't think it means anything for Brock Powers. I think he's fine. I would say that if Myers stay stays on the team he should still be the best receiver for the Raiders. This does lower his value a little bit. So he was going basically in round seven based on his CBSAB adp. I would drop him at least around if not more just because of clearly there's unsettled situation right now. Plus you have just players emerging. You mentioned it, you know with Thornton and what he's, you know, looked like so far in training camp running with the starters. I hope this is more of an indictment of Cooper coming in Andre Tucker than it is on Thornton and they don't put Thornton on the bench. Besh would benefit immensely if Jacoby Myers is traded. He would become my favorite Raiders receiver if Jacoby Myers is traded because Besh would be their slot receiver so that would put him in such a great spot. So just keep an eye on like if you're doing any drafts now and you have a late round pick just to burn, take Bash and just see what happens. But I hope Thornton stays locked in as one of the outside receivers and Cooper doesn't take his spot. Tucker is Going into his third year, you know, so maybe as a veteran, they give him some, you know, leeway to start early in the season. But Thornton's looked great. You mentioned it. He's outperformed Best, but again, I think they're going to play two different roles and Myers is a wild card at this point, you know, because, you know, you've seen reports about the teams that have been in the market for wide receivers. The 49ers and the Steelers are two that have been mentioned pretty heavily and you can see why. You know, their, their receiving cores are pretty bad or beat up right now. I think that the jets also, I, I saw as a potential trade partner also I didn't see Minnesota, but, you know, I'm sure they're probably making a call or two. So if he's free, if he's going to be available, I would assume there's going to be some teams that want to bring in a player that for the last two years has done a nice job. Certainly has done a nice job for fantasy managers. Over 13 and a half PPR points into his last two seasons per game. So, yeah, this is, this is not a great scenario for him if you drafted him as a high end number three receiver. I think he's more of a low end number three receiver. I'd rather have him as fourth guy at this point.
Dave
Okay. If you're going to take a shot on an old wide receiver who recently signed with a team, would it be Keenan Allen or Amari Cooper?
Adam
Keenan Allen.
Jamie
I have no interest in Amari Cooper.
Dave
Okay, well, the Raiders do.
Adam
So, yeah, I mean, I'd hang out.
Jamie
With them and ironically enough, both going back to their former teams.
Adam
Yeah. So teams that drafted them, hey, do you think Cooper was added just to give them some like, just like veteran experience? Because all they have is Myers and Trey Tucker's got experience too, but everybody else that they really have on that team is either at wide receiver, is either inexperienced or like literally first year player. So I wonder if that played into it a little bit. Right? Well, sure, if they're going to trade Myers and it makes all the sense in the world to get somebody like Cooper in there. I loved what I've seen from Dante Thornton in the preseason. He's got great speed, he's got great length. Route running still a work in progress, but I would suspect he's going to end up playing a lot if Myers is traded. I, I think maybe I've got to change my tune on Bowers.
Jamie
Right.
Adam
Part of the reason why I Like why I was a little hesitant on Bowers was because Myers was there and Myers would command some targets. I don't know who else is really going to be able to command targets, especially in the middle of the field if there's no Jacoby Myers there.
Dave
By the way, Myers is not the slot guy that he used to be. Last two years with the Raiders, he's been a 30% slot guy. He used to be more like 55% and new coaching staff.
Jamie
Now they have outside receivers, though they didn't have that previously.
Adam
Yeah, that's a good point. Myers play anywhere.
Dave
But Besh is a slot guy.
Adam
You know, he should be, but that's.
Jamie
Why he's not seeing the field at this point, Right?
Adam
He should. He should be a big slot for them. At least that's how I would view it. But I'm just an idiot in a room in an office building. They might see it differently. But if, if, if they put Bash in the slot, I think he'd crush because he's such a good route runner.
Dave
All right. Washington signed Terry McLaurin to a three year, $96 million extension with 30 million guaranteed. And it's not like that kicks in this year. So they're going to, you know, they're going to be owing this guy money when he's in his 30s. But for now, who's the best TMAC in fantasy?
Jamie
I'll take Tettera.
Adam
Ah, they're so close for me. I'll take McLaurin.
Jamie
Assuming McMillan doesn't have a bad hamstring injury.
Dave
And McLaurin. Okay, what round are we thinking for Terry McLaurin now?
Adam
Late round four at the earliest.
Jamie
Late round five at the earliest.
Dave
All right, Chad, I think Jamie, you mentioned this article from the Athletic yesterday about Trayvon Henderson. And the Patriots are impressed with his ability to run between the tackles. It was. Even their GM said so. So the arrow is really pointing up on, on Travion Henderson, who. Who just could earn more carries than we expect early in the year. Minnesota's still trying to trade for Adam.
Jamie
I cannot fathom taking Alvin Camaro over Trayvon Henderson at this point.
Adam
I can.
Dave
Adam Thielen averaged 16.4-PPR fantasy points per game in his last seven games after he returned from an injury. Vikings trying to require acquire him right now. He won't average that.
Jamie
Thomas. What do you want to see the Vikings give up to get him? Because apparently they're haggling over a third round pick.
Dave
Wow. Yeah. They should not give anything more than.
Jamie
A fifth round pick?
Dave
No, they should take.
Adam
Would you take Thielen in a fourth for a third? No.
Dave
No. Okay. You know what I would take? I would take $38 in fab for.
Adam
Why don't you go draft Desean Watson again?
Dave
All right. Daniel Popper of the Athletic thinks that Najee Harris is going to start the season on the NFI list. But as you guys mentioned yesterday, GM Joe Ortiz said that Harris has a chance to play in week one. Week one is against the Chiefs. The Chiefs had the best run defense in football for about half the two thirds of the year. And then they had a really bad run defense down the stretch and into the playoffs until they faced Saquon Barkley. Of course, Tyreek Hill is expected to be ready for week one. Jalen Wright is not. Juwan Jennings remains out with a calf injury. You guys mentioned yesterday that he could start the season on ir. Josh Downs could practice next week, which doesn't really bode well for Josh Downs being ready for week one. Cincinnati gave Trey Hendrickson their unbelievable edge rusher a $15 million salary bump. The Raiders acquired Kenny Pickett from Cleveland for a fifth round pick. Typical backup. Aiden o' Connell is out six to eight weeks with a broken wrist. Cortland Sutton thinks that Marvin Mims is Denver's number two wide receiver. Yesterday you guys called Mims a great sleeper. And just real quick, are there any other roster cuts worth noting? Deontay Johnson got cut. Anything else we need to know as of now? Yeah, 11:00am yeah, there were cuts yesterday.
Jamie
Your guy Turbo's gone do.
Dave
No kidding. Dante Miller. I really like him. I was. I think, I like.
Jamie
I think that the reports I saw, they're hoping to get him on the practice squad. Little Jordan Humphrey just got cut.
Adam
All right, not little Jordan.
Dave
All right, so there's nothing yet. Some things that A.J.
Jamie
Osborne, maybe it goes back to Minnesota.
Dave
Here's a segment called topics covered on yesterday's podcast, Slash preseason Leftovers. I was listening to yesterday's podcast while we were doing the podcast league draft and Heath said, quote, I think that Javante Williams is going to open the season as the starter. I hope my tone reflects my enthusiasm. You guys laughed. Seconds later he drafted him in the podcast league.
Jamie
So no matter how unexpected, while you're.
Dave
Listening to it, seconds later, while I was listening to it, he drafted him to the podcast.
Jamie
By comparison, seconds later, after we said goodbye, Terry McLaurin signed the three year old 96 million dollar contract extension. When I went on this long rant about I won't care.
Dave
Yeah, There you go. Keon Coleman was being used in the slot. That. Dave, you said that yesterday. That really stood out to me because we had Jacob come on and talk about how, oh, he wished they would use him in the slot more. He didn't really have a ton of faith in him winning out wide. And last year, out of 89 wide receivers with 50 or more targets, Keon Coleman ranked 88th in slot rate. The only guy who was in the slot less than him was Rashad Bateman. But you don't need to play a lot in the slot to be great. Here are some guys who are very low on the slot list. Slot rate list. Cortland Sutton, D.K. metcalf. They were 83rd and 84th out of 89 receivers. A.J. brown, T. Higgins, George Pickens, Terry McLaurin, all under 19%. Nico Collins, 19.1%. Justin Jefferson, 20% slot rate. So you don't have to be in the slot to have a great year. No.
Adam
And I don't think he's going to play a ton in the slot. This is still a team that not only likes to use their tight ends in the slot, but Khalil Shakir, once he's healthy, he'll play in the slot a little bit. They seem to be designing plays to take down certain types of zone coverage that they think they're going to see. And they see a lot of zone coverage because, hello, they've got a running quarterback, and defenses don't want to give up the big play on the ground or running quarterbacks. So I think you've got to look for Coleman, who I thought looked leaner and shiftier in. In practice. Not just in the practice I saw, but also, like, you know, clips of him that you see on the Internet during Bill's practice. And. And I think that's going to pay off for him. So winning contested catches, maybe in the red zone, that happens a little. But I think he's going to be able to, like, win on slants, stop routes, fades, things like that, where he can use just a little bit of agility, maybe not so much fades, but the other two where he can use his agility and timing with Josh Allen to up his stats significantly.
Dave
Okay, I've got some more leftovers. I'm gonna save them for tomorrow. Let's talk about some more really great values based on current adp, whether that's CBS ADP for Jamie or fantasy Pros or NFC ADP in the last 10 days for Dave. So, Jamie, I'm just gonna run through the list I'm gonna say where they are and you tell me where you have them and whatnot. Drake May, 128th overall. He's QB18.
Jamie
Drake, man, it's really more about the QB18 number than the overall because all the QB ADPs of the guys in the top 12 are just way pushed up too high. So he should be a top 12 quarterback.
Adam
A lot of people are scared to draft Drake May as a top 12 quarterback because it suggests that you have to start in week one. He plays Las Vegas in week one. He plays at Miami in week two. I think these are going to be two really good matchups for Drake May. So I wouldn't be opposed to starting them in week one.
Dave
But also, even if you do have to feel like you have to reach for him, that doesn't mean you can't take another veteran quarterback later.
Adam
Sure.
Dave
Right. Okay. Yeah.
Jamie
I would rather have, based on the CBS adp, Drake May where Jared Goff is going, and Jared Goff where Drake May is going. All right.
Dave
I mean, you do understand there's a, there's a boldness to this, right? I mean, he's not proven at all.
Jamie
Of course not. But this is the one position, probably the only position where you can swing for the fence and still find options that will help you. It may not be, it may not be top five. Understand that. But again, I've said this a few times, that last year five of the top ten quarterbacks were picked right around 100th overall or later. And you could find value at this position with a late round pick or a guy off waivers.
Dave
Okay, next up, he averaged 18.6 fantasy.
Adam
Points per game in his last 11 without Stefan Diggs, without Josh McDaniels with a terrible offensive line. And now he's got all three of those things fixed.
Dave
Yeah, he probably, he'll probably left a few of those games early too, because May did that three or four times last year. RJ Harvey next for Jamie. He's going 56th overall, 63rd on fantasy pros and in the real time ADP. The 24 hour ADP, 55th as RB21. He's RB23 on CBS. RJ Harvey.
Jamie
I'd rather have him than Alvin Camaro. Also. I just think, you know, looking at what his role is looking like for the Broncos of the 40, I think it's 40 snaps that the starters play in the preseason. Played 34 of them in first and second down. He did not play on 11 third down snaps that the starters had. So that's going to be an issue, but the more he's on the field, the better off I think he'll be. And this is a team that will throw to their running backs on first and second down, so it's not an issue in terms of where his reception total can get to. I think he's going to be awesome.
Dave
That's rj.
Adam
Adam, do you think that Audric estimate could cut into RJ Harvey's workload?
Dave
No, I don't think so. He was released okay.
Adam
On top of that.
Dave
But that's. Again, I've been saying this about RJ Harvey. Whereas Travion Henderson has had a meteoric rise in adp, RJ Harvey really hasn't. He's still a crazy round pick. I don't think it's that crazy. I mean, Harvey hasn't had like, Dobbins hasn't played in the preseason or barely played.
Jamie
Right.
Dave
So I think people, you, I, I.
Jamie
Get it, the, the perception of Dobbins and Stevenson, but Stevenson hasn't played very much either.
Dave
It's true. And maybe people are overreacting to Trayvon Henderson. Maybe possible. All right, we got this trio of Charbonnet, Jordan Mason, Braylon Allen. We've talked about them. So how about two more later picks? Who do you like better, Ali Gordon or Dylan Sampson? You think they're both undervalued?
Jamie
I have them essentially back to back at this point. Like in the early 40s, I think one is. Or maybe late 30s, early 40s. Like it's, it's a great opportunity. Look, I hope Devon HN's ready for week one. Mike McDaniel was, you know, somewhat positive after the preseason game on Saturday that, you know, he didn't suffer setback and he's going to practice prior to the start of the season. But until we see that and with Jalen Wright now, the report missed maybe that he could miss the first six to eight weeks of the season like there's a chance. Or start the season, I should say six, eight weeks. I might, may have seen something different player. But like Ali Gordon could be the starter for the Dolphins. And then you're looking at Dylan Sampson could be a starter for the Browns. Like, I don't know when Quinchon Judkins is playing. You know, I think it was pro football talk suggested there's that loophole that he can go back to college, which would be nuts.
Dave
Got big news here.
Adam
What's going on?
Dave
Tajie Spears is going to be on ir. Oh, he's gonna miss at least the first four Games, according to Schefter. I mean, this is huge for Pollard. Adam Schefter, Mike Schefter. It's Adam's cousin also. Adam Schefter though, do you think that does any.
Adam
I've got Pollard as a low end RB2. Do you think that does anything to his ADP in the next week?
Dave
It would to me, definitely would.
Jamie
I think that group of running backs is so fascinating of. I'll say Connor's ahead of this group, but it's DeAndre Swift who has nobody to share touches with right now. Pollard, who has nobody to share touches with right now. Pacheco, who might have nobody to share touches with right now.
Adam
Oh, he's sharing touches.
Jamie
Yeah, maybe.
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
It's like that group is. Is amazing how good they could be and you can get them in round five or later.
Dave
You know, actually, I'm glad you said that. I actually wanted to do a full segment on that tomorrow of breaking because I thought that was one of my most difficult decisions yesterday. It was taking, you know, once Pacheco went off the board, it's like, do I take James Connor? Do I take David Montgomery? Breece hall was still on the board. Tony Pollard. I'll tell you this, if I had known last night that Chaise Spears were starting the year on ir, I would have taken Tony Pollard over James Connor.
Jamie
Yeah, I think I might be there too. And same with Swift. I. I had a draft last night at the same time as our podcast league picking from the seventh spot. And I took CD Lamb in round one. Somehow Puka fell to me in round two. Somehow AJ Brown fell to me in round three. And then I decided to take Joe Burrow in round four specifically because I thought I can get two of these guys. I thought I can get Swift, Pacheco, Pollard or Montgomery. So I thought I'd get to those guys. So I made the choice of this was last night prior to the news. I took Swift over Pollard and both Pacheco and both Pacheco, Pollard and Montgomery went before I got a chance to pick again. So didn't get the running backs that I wanted. But I loved the start and I perfectly fine with Swift given this build and now just missed out on that second guy.
Dave
Okay, so we'll talk, I guess about where.
Jamie
I mean the, the situation couldn't get much better.
Dave
It's crazy. I played all but one snap, I think with the starters. Right. It was a great, great audition for him. We got more good values wide receiver, good values for Jamie. Okay, so JSN he's wide receiver 16 and he's going 41st. We like him in the third round, right?
Jamie
Yep, yep.
Dave
And we like him ahead of Mike Evans, Tyreek Hill and Devonte Adams.
Jamie
Yep.
Dave
All right, that's JSN just close between him, Evans and Adams, Jalen Waddle, Travis Hunter and a Mecca Abuka Jamie. They're going in the 80s, 82nd to 85th. They are wide receivers 35, 36 and 37. Waddle, Hunter, Abuka.
Jamie
We'll take all of them near the five, six turn. Wow.
Dave
Okay. Odunze, wide receiver 40 and Olave wide receiver 42 and O. Golden, wide receiver 43. So Odunze, Olave, golden are going around 100th overall. I'd love to get them 100 for all.
Jamie
Yes. My gosh.
Dave
Yeah.
Jamie
I think a lot of another guy playing in slot.
Dave
I think a thing that could help is say all right, we like Waddle, Hunter and a book of better than adp. Who do we like worse than adp? And the two guys that keep showing up based on what I was doing this morning with the all FFT team are Devonte Smith and Zay Flowers. We are a little lower on these guys who are on low pass volume offenses that aren't going to get a ton of targets. They're being drafted in the fifth round. Specifically Flowers. Like would you take Hunter, Waddle and Abuka over Flowers?
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
Hunter, Waddle and Abuka. Yes.
Dave
Would you take them over Devonte Smith?
Jamie
Hunter? No, I would take Smith over Hunter. I would take. Right. I'm taking Waddle over Smith and Abuka over Smith.
Adam
I've got a Buka and Smith back to back. A book is ahead by one spot and then I've got a Buka and Smith ahead of Hunter and Waddle.
Jamie
I saw somebody not reference you another site azer stat. Devonte Smith.
Dave
Yeah.
Jamie
And essentially his numbers were on pace for the same that he was in 2023. I don't know what what they took out or did.
Dave
You can't. I don't think you can use a single thing from last year for Devonte Smith. He barely played any games with A.J. brown and Dallas Goddard on the field. They were hurt. Hurt the entire year. And the Eagles, you know, separately. And the Eagles were so run heavy last year. Okay. Actually I do have seven games. Seven games with a healthy Goddard, Smith and Brown. So I exaggerated there. Sorry about that. But Devonte Smith was on pace for 83 targets. 83 targets in seven games with with Goddard, Smith and Brown all healthy. Was was that the gist of the Azer stat or was it a good one?
Jamie
I just saw that saying his basically was on pace for his. Same numbers as 2023. Let's see if I find it.
Dave
2023 wasn't even a good year for him. 2022 was a good year.
Adam
Well, I think that's the point.
Dave
Look, man, he could be good if they throw the ball more. If they, if they have the same run pass split, then even AJ Brown's gonna be a bust, I think.
Jamie
Okay, here.
Adam
Do we know if A.J. brown's all right?
Jamie
By the way, I think Smith hamstring injury lingering. Well, Smith has a groin injury too. Like it. Right, Right.
Adam
But there's like more confidence in him being okay than there is Brown being okay. Okay. At this point.
Jamie
All right, so here's, here's. It's Jim Coventry from Rotowire. Devonte Smith. This was his tweet yesterday. There's a Post on X. Devonte Smith had 68 receptions, 833 yards, eight touchdowns on 89 targets in 2024. Is that accurate?
Dave
Yep.
Jamie
Missed four games. One was Week 18 for rest. But wide receiver 33 finish doesn't tell the full story. 17 game pace, 88 catches, 1089 yards, 10 touchdowns. Nearly identical to his 2023 output.
Dave
Well, except more touchdowns. He was wide receiver 20 in 2023 per game with seven touchdowns. That is true. But I'm sorry, like you, you just can't do that because he played two games without A.J. brown and he had 20 targets in those two games and he had seven catches for 75 or more yards in both games and he scored once. He played without Dallas Goddard for a big chunk of the season. So we all know that happen every year. Every single year. That's the other thing you could say. Forget it. I know Dallas Goddard's going to miss some time. AJ Brown's already dealing with an injury and when one of those guys is out, devonte Smith is awesome.
Jamie
You might, I think when you get to that blob of wide receivers and it's a very bountiful one, that could be great or could be, I don't think completely terrible, but there's some pitfalls. But that group of wide receivers you mentioned, just a bunch of them. So it's Devonte Smith, it's Jalen Waddle, it's Travis Hunter. I would put DJ Moore in this group. I would actually put Terry McLaren in this group, which I know I'm going to be on an island with that one. But Abuka Pierce all if you want to put Keon Coleman or Dunes there, I think they're maybe at the tail end. Matthew golden maybe at the tail end of it. But it's those guys that are going to go in that round 5, 6 range. And how much do you like them versus how much are you? Jerry, Judy, you know, those, those caliber guys. So Smith may be like a settle for guy by comparison to let's say an Abuka or Piersol who seems to be a type of guy that on his own could be a league winner. So it's just probably a matter of like what you think is best for your team. You know, floor versus, you know, a guy like Devonte Smith who's proven and has a lot of spike weeks when there's injuries there, or a guy like a Booka who may be a spike player the entire season, depending on how long Godwin and Jalen McMillan this time.
Dave
All right, let's get back to the.
Jamie
List here and, and to, to, you know what you were going to talk about those running back. I, I think it's the same thing with those receivers, those running backs, same that, you know, you want to put Aaron Jones in that group too. You know, those, those kind of guys that we discussed. Pacheco, that group, this group of receivers too. I think those two particular groups of positions could define fantasy this year.
Dave
I agree. I think maybe tomorrow we, we get into rounds five and six and how to win. Avoiding the busts and picking the guys that were really gravitating toward in that range. It's fascinating stuff. Not all of them are going to be good.
Adam
50Th overall.
Dave
All right, so Jamie likes Christian Kirk, Marvin Mims, Romeo Dobbs, Demario Douglas, late Cedric Tillman, super late Trey McBride. We like it. The 2, 3 turn, he's going 35th, Colson Loveland's going 127th. Quick thought. Where do you, where do you take Loveland?
Jamie
I would take him around and pick 100.
Dave
Okay.
Jamie
Just after, like Tyler Warren comes out.
Dave
And Dave, your favorite values based on NFC average draft position from the last 10 days. Nico Collins is going 12th.
Adam
Too late. Should be top eight minimum.
Dave
Kyron Williams is in the third round at 27th overall.
Adam
Especially with the Texans running back woes. Like, what world are we living in where the Texans are going to run more than throw in any of those games that we talked about? Maybe against Tennessee, but those other games early on in the year without a plausible run game, man, they're going to throw a lot. Nico could like begin the year with 50 targets in his first.
Dave
But I moved on to Kyron and you were still on Nico. Okay, Kyron. So I don't know if there's anything.
Adam
To say about Kyle.
Dave
Yeah, well, he. Look, he's. He is part of a five man group of Chase Brown, Bucky Irving, Jonathan Taylor, Josh Jacobs, Kyron Williams. And he's often at the back of that.
Jamie
Not on cbs.
Dave
He's six picks behind that group. No, cbs. Jamie actually has him as one of the worst values on CBS at 18th overall as RB9. So he should.
Jamie
I wonder if not so much 18th overall. It's RB9. That's the guys that he's ahead of.
Adam
Yeah, that's way too soon. I wonder if that's also a byproduct of the projections or Heath.
Jamie
Heath has him in that range.
Adam
Yeah, sure. And listen, if he, if he does better than he did last year, we're talking about 18 plus PPR points per game. He doesn't catch the ball a ton. That would mean he still scores a boatload of touchdowns for the Rams. That's a great offense. Hopefully their quarterback stays healthy so that Kyron Williams can. Can play off that and the safety stay back. I think he's a little risky if you're taking him that high. I, I've got him at 12among running backs and it's a close call for me between him and Omarion Hampton.
Dave
And again he's on the field all the time. He could easily catch more passes and in 2023 he was on pace for 45 catches.
Adam
Yeah, when he came out of Notre Dame he was known as a good pass catcher.
Dave
All right, sorry. Dave t. Higgins is 29th. You like that pick?
Adam
I think that that's great value.
Dave
James Cook, 36th, but he's RB14.
Adam
Yeah, it's perfect. Great value on him too. I think he's a top 30 pick.
Dave
Jaden Daniels is the fourth quarterback off the board, whereas Burrow is the third.
Adam
I've seen a lot of draft boards from this past weekend where Burrow not just a top three quarterback off the board, but the first quarterback off the board. World fantasy managers are lining up to take him ahead of Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson as well as Jayden Daniels. And I. I feel like that that's a little too risky.
Jamie
Well, I mean US QB2 last year he was.
Adam
But I think that the other dual threat quarterbacks just naturally by their, their rushing ability offer more upside than Burrow.
Dave
Cortland Sutton and Alvin Camara are on your list. We've talked a lot about them. Chuba Hubbard is on your list at 52nd overall. Chuba Hubbard is RB19.
Adam
I think he's better than that. I think he's, I think you pencil him in for 15 and a half to 16 and a half PPR points per game. I think he's the lead back on an emerging Carolina offense. I like guys like that.
Dave
James Conner and R.J. harvey are going late in round five in a 12 team league. Who do you prefer?
Adam
I prefer Connor. I think that he still has plenty to offer. His consistency is great. I don't believe any of this stuff about Trey Benson being the 1B to James Conner's 1A. And it's not like RJ Harvey is going to be a solo act in Denver. We know that J.K. dobbins is going to have a role as well. And I think I'd rather have. I know Connor's older and all that stuff. Man, he was great last year.
Dave
He was.
Adam
And I think he, I think he's the one that I would rather bet on than Harvey.
Dave
I, I.
Adam
We can say that Denver's offense is better, but I don't know if it'll be better by leaps and bounds compared to Arizona. I think, I think they're kind of similar, actually, those two offenses.
Jamie
Okay, I'll take Harvey.
Adam
I knew you would.
Dave
Yeah. I mean, Look, Connor is 30, but if he weren't 30, he would have a really, really exciting profile. Because he's good every year, of course. Yeah, I know. Well, but first, overall, no, no, he wouldn't. But he had, you know, he had great metrics last year. The other thing that concerns me with Connor is that he doesn't 20, 24. He had six carries of 20 or more yards. He had two carries longer than 23 yards. That scares me. You know, he's not a breakaway guy, but that just kind of maybe is showing his age a little bit. And he's a year older now. Right.
Adam
He's more of a volume grinder type of running back, which is not how we would describe Camara, who has the exact same problem that you laid out and have been laying out with him, just not being as explosive of a runner. But Connor is also a cinch to get a bunch of short yardage touchdowns. He can catch the ball a little bit too. I'm, I'm totally fine with Connor. I've got him 17th among running backs. I've got him ahead of Henderson and Harvey. I know Jamie won't go there, and I don't blame anybody for taking Henderson over him in full ppr. But I think James Connor still has.
Dave
Plenty left to give and some wide receiver values you like based on NFC ADP over the last 10 days. Matthew golden going 79th overall wide receiver 41 Keon Coleman going about a hundredth overall wide receiver 40 49. And then there's a tight end in there, David Najoku, 106 overall.
Adam
I think we've talked plenty about Coleman and Najoku. Golden clearly seems to be the number one receiver in Green Bay. I think they'll try and throw more than they did last year. I don't know if it'll be by a lot. I think it'll be by, I don't know, maybe like 15%. That could be a lot actually, maybe 10%. But golden should be the top target getter in that offense. He appears to be much more of the guy that we saw toward the end of his college tenure than before, which is a great thing. I'm good with golden early round seven.
Dave
All right, we have to run. I am going. I am going on FFT Dynasty. Yay. To talk about the Super Flex Startup Dynasty draft. So that'll be a lot of fun.
Jamie
We have a Super Flex draft at noon too.
Dave
We have a Super Flex draft at noon. We have a busy super fun.
Jamie
I believe you quit that one last year.
Adam
Oh good.
Dave
Dave is a quitter, I gotta tell you.
Adam
Big time.
Dave
All right, thanks so much everybody. Hope this was a helpful show for you. You know who we like better than adp and we'll talk to you tomorrow with some of the worst values and some other topics. Still kind of coming up with that show, but we're definitely going to talk to you at 5:5 to 8pm Eastern tomorrow for the draft of God Show. See you later.
Jamie
Foreign.

Downgraded Receivers:
“If you’re just looking for a safe fallback RB, [Chuba Hubbard is an] easy pick at the back end of round 4.” – Jamie [06:21]
“We’ve all bought in to the phrase Jamie coined: ‘Greater Late’ [at TE].” – Adam [10:14]
“Garrett Wilson’s going too early… very nervous… If you pair that with a low aDOT, he might have a lot of 6 for 55 type weeks. That’s not a receiver I want to draft until round 6 at the earliest.” – Adam [31:35]
“Dylan Sampson over Mixon and Chubb.” — Jamie [37:25]
“Third round JSN? We like him ahead of Evans, Adams, Tyreek.” – Dave [57:29]
This summary encapsulates the episode’s focus on exploiting ADP inefficiencies, steering clear of overrated names, and pouncing on emerging camp/preseason value—all delivered with the familiar banter and in-depth reasoning that regular listeners expect from FFT.
