Heath
Football Today from CBS Sports.
Jamie
What a play.
Adam
Can you believe this? And no, I can't.
Heath
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Adam
Off to the races and he stays on his feet.
Dave
This is gonna go the distance.
Heath
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
Adam
Well, hello everybody. Happy Wednesday. Happy hump day. It is Fantasy Football today presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook. Born in Vegas and my mind is completely blown because I just looked at a fab report and someone in the FFT open, in my FFT open division got audric estimate for $100 out of $100, which is crazy on two accounts. One, this person who first place, so I can't really criticize too much, has not spent a single dollar in fab all year. So that's insane. But also just spent all of it on Audric estimate. That is insaner about that.
Dave
Okay, more insane.
Adam
Insaner. Dave, it's a word.
Dave
Insaner in the brainer.
Adam
It's not a word. Welcome to the show. We're going to talk trade today. We're going to start out by grading your trades which I think is a good way to establish the value of of, you know, relevant players like Tyreek Hill and a lot of Tyrone Tracy trade talk. And we're going to look at schedules. So Dave, every week he updates strength of schedule. I just Took a look at players that have the best and the worst matchups at running back, quarterback, and wide receiver rest of season. And that's based on. Mostly just based on fantasy points allowed. So it's not really all that subjective. I made a couple of adjustments, but we'll see. The players that you need to know about, like Tyrone Tracy actually shows up as a. As a player that has multiple bottom 10 matchups in the fantasy playoffs. Does that even matter? He's got. Let's see, he's got the Ravens, the Falcons, and the Colts, I believe, in the fantasy playoffs. So Falcons are 10th against running backs. Ravens, we know, are tough anyway, stuff like that. You ready to get started? Let's grade some trades.
Dave
Yeah, let's get it started in here.
Adam
Also very excited for Thursday Night Football. We'll talk about that game. Here's a quick round of grade the trade from Twitter. Nate Lane. Not that Nate. Nate Lane said, I traded Dowdle and DJ Moore for D for Debo Samuel.
Dave
He went A plus.
Adam
Pete Farmer has been offered.
Dave
Pete?
Adam
Yeah, what's up? Pete offered Marvin Harrison Jr. And Chase Brown for Aaron Jones.
Dave
I would accept.
Heath
Yep. This is not help me make a trade. This is grade the trade, Pete, you need to follow the rules. Make the trade, then send it to us.
Adam
But if we graded it, shouldn't you.
Dave
Get it graded before you make it?
Adam
We'll grade it now.
Dave
It's an A plus.
Adam
It's a great.
Dave
Harrison and Brown for Aaron Jones. Oh, man.
Adam
Okay, let's get to some.
Dave
I'm surprised he even sent that in.
Adam
He says he doesn't make a lot of trades. He says I don't do trades often, so.
Dave
Okay. Well, when it's that obvious, it's. It's a yes.
Adam
Well, and that's just. You guys value Chase Brown as. As a stud, right?
Dave
Yes.
Heath
Both RB2s.
Adam
Yeah. And you're getting Harrison on top of it. All right, Jamie's here. Kyle Cooper wants to know grade the trade. Jordan Love and Jonathan Taylor for Kirk Cousins, Tony Pollard, and Calvin Ridley.
Dave
Probably comes out to fair on the trade chart, but I'd rather have Love and Taylor.
Adam
Okay, so, see, it's pretty even, we're saying. So it's Jordan Love and Jonathan Taylor for Cousins, Pollard and Ridley, I would say. And. And then to bring up Ridley here. Love his schedule going forward. His opponents rank 30th, 24th, 18th, 27th, 20th, 21st and 27th rest of season. Every single opponent 18th or worse against opposing wide receivers. I had highlighted Ridley, Dave as one of the Best schedules going forward. I don't know if you had the same.
Dave
I. Yes. Third best schedule according to the fantasy strength of schedule and second best in weeks 15 through 17. And we've got a game of him playing well with Will Levis, and that was before the garbage time. Touchdown. So I think you can. I think you can start to be cautiously optimistic about Calvin Ridley moving forward, but shouldn't be surprised if he has a couple of dud games between now and week 15.
Adam
Joreen is trading Tyreek Hill and Zach Ertz for Jalen Waddle, J.K. dobbins and Brian Thomas Jr.
Dave
D. So the chart likes it just because I think there's enough value still for Dobbins and Brian Thomas Jr. To more than outweigh Tyreek Hill. I mean, I was just.
Heath
I was like, is there one of those five players that I'm excited to have on my fantasy football team right now?
Dave
Right. So are you just kind of swapping headaches here?
Jamie
Well, you're obviously trading Tyreek for Dobbins. That's the. That's the deal. That's the main part of it.
Dave
Right. But I. Brian Thomas Jr. Might have some good moments between now and the rest of the way.
Jamie
He might. But, I mean, Mac Jones is not going to exactly make people feel comfortable to start Brian Thomps Jr. Anytime soon.
Adam
And we don't know Trevor Lawrence's status. Right. I mean, they have a buy next week.
Jamie
At this point, you should assume Trevor Lawrence is not playing again this season.
Adam
Now, I will say Dobbins is a guy who has a lot of good run defenses left on the schedule. Cincinnati's run defense has gotten pretty good. We know Baltimore's run defense is good. The Falcons have a solid run defense. Not great. It's okay. It's above average. Kansas City, best run defense in football. Those are his next four matchups. Then he gets in the playoffs. He gets three teams that struggle against running backs. But Tampa Bay, yeah, they struggle against running backs. Tampa Bay, Denver. Denver actually has a pretty good run defense. They give up about 4 yards per carry, which is really good this year. And then New England should be a good matchup in Week 17. But Dobbins has struggled against tough run defenses and he has a lot of them coming up. So that's kind of competition again. Yes, he does.
Dave
Well, how much of last week is going to carry over week to week did. Was that just about getting Gus Edwards back into the swing of things? And next week it'll be a Dobbins game? Could it be a hot hand approach each week or are we really looking at Gus Edwards and J.K. dobbins splitting carries and they try and manage the two of their older backs for as long as they're playing football this season?
Heath
I think, like, even if you look at before Gus Edwards got hurt, they were pretty much splitting carries. It was just the Dobbins was really good and Gus was really terrible. But the number of rush attempts were pretty similar.
Adam
Yeah. Didn't it seem like they were kind of phasing Gus out though? After a first. First cuss, he was struggled. He was text. He stunk.
Dave
It was.
Jamie
It was definitely moving in that direction. But to Heath's point, that was the early season scenario of both of them sharing touches and Dobbins just outperforming Edwards. You know, like, I wonder how we feel about Edwards if he gets the goal line plunge instead of Hassan Haskins and now you're talking about 10 for 55 and a goal line score. It. It's. It just feels like to Dave's point, they're trying to see their path and their path is to the playoffs, you know, and so you want to make sure Dobbins gets you there. Or Dobbs could be Dobbins is there when you get there. And so can you lean on Edwards a little bit more? Because you clearly have seen what Dobbins can be when he's getting all that work. And so I said it yesterday, I said it last couple of weeks like he was approaching and now he's passed his season high or career high in carries for a season. You know, this is. Got to be a little bit concerned about Dobbins, you know, is he going to hold up?
Dave
Yep. And so I think everybody here would agree that his value sank last week. Dobbins value sank last week. So let me run some names past you guys. Who would you rather have a non PPR rest of the way? Because I think you'd take Marvin Harrison over Dobbins in full ppr, but tell me if I'm wrong. But in non ppr, Marvin or Dobbins, who would you rather have the rest of the way?
Jamie
Dobbins.
Adam
Dobbins.
Dave
Yeah. And that's how I feel about it. Let's move up a little bit. What about movie Marvin? Oh, okay. So then you would definitely take Mooney ahead of JK Dobbins the rest of the way. Non ppr?
Adam
I would probably take Dobbins, but yeah, same for me.
Heath
I mean, non PPR, but yeah, it's really hard. Like what are 10 of people playing on PPR anymore.
Adam
Is it?
Dave
Yeah.
Adam
All right, let's go to our next one here. But the bottom line is that I.
Dave
Almost think that Dobbins, if you can get him cheap enough right now, is a good buy low.
Adam
All right, just to summarize, Tyreek Hill or J.K. dobbins Rest of season, I.
Dave
Would rather have Dobbins.
Jamie
Tyreek.
Heath
Probably Tyreek.
Adam
All right, next email or next grade the trade from Max Devonte Adams and Kyle Pitts for Travis Kelsey. I have neighbors, Pickens Downs and McConkey in a two receiver league. Adams and Pitts for Kelsey.
Jamie
Love it.
Heath
Hey.
Dave
If I had to grade it, I'd probably give it like a B because you'll probably get more points out of Adams and Pitts, but you'll also have like a headache over those two guys every week.
Adam
Yeah, this is consolidating. Right? And yes, that's what it is. Tight end. Okay, now, do you have with neighbors, Pickens Downs and McConkey. Do you have two reliable receivers there? I think definitely with Pickens. I hope you have yes.
Dave
The answer is yes, you do.
Adam
Dylan traded George Pickens and Jacoby Myers for Tyreek Hill. No.
Dave
Oh, no.
Jamie
I don't like that.
Adam
Yeah, we like Pickens straight up better than Hill, right? Rest of season? Yes.
Jamie
Yeah. Right now I do.
Adam
Do we like Myers better than Hill rest of season?
Dave
I do. Full ppr. Absolutely.
Adam
He's break the tie. Myers or Tyreek Hill Recipes.
Heath
I'd probably still go Tyreek, but they're both around 15th.
Adam
Probably. All right, I'll do one more here. Non PPR. One of the 10 percenters.
Heath
Well, we had 10, 10 grade the trades here and one of them was non ppr.
Adam
There you go. Tyrone Tracy for Mike Evans.
Jamie
Rather Tracy.
Heath
I'll take Evans. He's my. He's my. Like, he got one more week before he comes back and is.
Jamie
We hope.
Dave
I'm gonna. I'm gonna roll with Heath here. I think Evans is the better one to have in ppr. Oh, it's non PPR still. Evans.
Adam
Are you guys confident in Tyrone Tracy moving forward? He's one I really wanted to talk about here. Upcoming schedule. Tampa Bay 27th against running backs. Dallas 28th, New Orleans 29th. Wow. That's his next three games. It's awesome. Yes, but then it's Baltimore at Atlanta and then the colts in week 17. Depends how you feel about Atlanta. They're technically a top 10 defense against running backs. They don't give up a lot of touchdowns, but they. This is the lowest scoring team in football. So keep that in mind.
Jamie
Yeah, I, I, it's obviously going to be contextual, you know, what, what you're talking about and who he, what his role is on your fantasy team. Because for a lot of people he's been a late round edition or a waiver wire pickup. And so if I can use him in those three games for the next three weeks, when we have two weeks of miserable by weeks coming up, absolutely, he's going to be a starter. And in comparing him to Evans, if you tell me Evans is healthy, sure, I'll take Evans over him. But given the uncertainty right now of what we're talking about here, I mean, Nico Collins is working on a five week hamstring injury and his wasn't considered as severe as Mike Evans.
Adam
It wasn't. Well, he went on ir. Evans didn't.
Jamie
Fair point. See, it seemed, it seemed as if what, what happened to Evans was a little bit more serious based on the reporting.
Adam
Okay, I have no idea. I'm just, yeah, just throwing that out.
Dave
There are two different guys with two different injuries. Who knows?
Adam
All right, all right. We're gonna take a break. Before we do that, Heath, give us a little FFT Dynasty promo.
Heath
Yeah, we had Theo Griminger on this week. We talked about some of the 2024 Yo Yos guys that were moving up and down in our rankings. We can't figure out where to rank them. We talked about some buy lows. He re ranked his top five rookies. Lots and lots of fun.
Adam
The four of us have a yo yo contest. Have to do tricks with a yo yo who wins.
Heath
I would assume you, you would be wrong, sir.
Adam
Grade the answer. That was an F Midas. I couldn't even like. Do I do a single yo yo trick? A terrible at yo yos anyway.
Jamie
You have a trick. I mean that's, that's more than.
Adam
I don't have a trick. I don't. All right. We all suck at it.
Heath
You can't make it go down and back up.
Dave
Yeah, I think I might be able to make a yo yo go down, stay there for a second and then come back up.
Adam
Okay.
Dave
Is that better than the other three of you?
Adam
Somehow Dave wins. Congratulations.
Dave
I'm the yo yo yo yo guy.
Adam
All right, we'll be right back on fantasy football today with some news and notes and some, you know, that makes.
Dave
My mother yo yo ma.
Adam
We'll be right back. Listen, I don't care if your fantasy teams won. If your favorite team beat its arch rival, your football Sunday isn't going to be good enough if you don't nail the food aspect of it. If you're not using Hellman's Real Mayonnaise, what are you doing? Come on. Hellman's Real Mayonnaise is a rich, creamy mayonnaise made with real simple ingredients. Hellman's can be used to bring out the best rich, creamy, delicious flavor in a variety of dishes, dips, sandwiches, deviled eggs, sauces, salads and more. Look, if you're having people over to watch the game or you just want to have good food by yourself, consider this little tip from me. My wife makes the best buffalo chicken dip. The key ingredient? Hellman's Mayonnaise. It brings it to another level. It's probably my favorite snack on game day. So let me finish by imploring you to step up your mayonnaise game with a series of puns. Mayo game day be delicious, Mayo dip be creamy and your fantasy team be dreamy. And how about this for a fantasy team name Drake Mayo. You get the point. You can purchase Hellman's at your local Walmart, Kroger or grocery store and use it to add extra deliciousness and creamy flavor to your game day dishes this football season. Well, I just downloaded a new game on my phone and it is awesome. It's called Marvel Snap. Marvel Snap is an award winning collectible card game that combines deep strategy, a unique snapping mechanic, your favorite Marvel characters, and thousands of unique card art variants created by renowned artists to collect and use. And first of all, it's just visually appealing. It looks awesome, but the gameplay is what matters. So let's talk about why you're going to love Marvel Snap. The games are fast paced. Each game takes only three minutes. Your objective is to win two out of three locations by having higher total power than your opponent. And as you win, you earn cosmic cubes. I think my favorite part is the Snap mechanic. If you're feeling confident in your hand or maybe you want to bluff, Snap to double the cosmic cubes. Or if you're not feeling confident, you can retreat anytime to minimize cube losses. So this is where the strategy component really comes in. I love that there are more than 270 cards in Marvel Snap with over 2000 unique art variants to collect from beloved artists. And new cards are released every week. They keep it fresh. Download Marvel Snap now on iOS, Android and Steam to start playing the award winning collectible card game. News and Notes the Bears fired Shane Waldron and promoted passing game coordinator Thomas Brown as offensive coordinator. Heath, did you talk about Caleb Williams Dynasty value.
Heath
Yes. Theo was not very optimistic. He said it feels like we're at this point to where his value could completely sink at any moment. But I think, like, he's still a top 15 dynasty quarterback and probably will remain that until week one of next year. I wonder how much Trevor Lawrence's path are impacting the way. Is impacting the way that people feel about Caleb Williams. Because we spent, like four years saying, making excuses for Trevor Lawrence and talking about his pedigree and how good he was coming into the NFL and he'll eventually figure it out and he never did. And I wonder if people don't want to do that same thing to Caleb Williams.
Adam
You're very hard on Trevor Lawrence. You're very hard on him. He's not that bad. He's an average quarterback in the NFL, Right?
Heath
Sure.
Adam
Okay.
Dave
I'd say he's a little bit better than average.
Adam
For.
Heath
We play a game called fantasy football, and he was drafted to be like, the. One of the. One of the greats.
Dave
Right.
Heath
And he never delivered on that.
Dave
I wasn't like, he did it in one playoff game.
Adam
Okay, so we agree. He's like a, you know, he's a solid quarterback. He's a.
Heath
He's a fine QB2 in Super Flex.
Jamie
It's gonna be very curious to see what happens next year when Ben Johnson's his head coach.
Adam
Yeah, right. Exactly.
Dave
That'll be great for him. Who Ben Johnson is. Whose coach?
Jamie
Trevor Lawrence's coach.
Dave
Oh, okay. I'm not sure if that's locked in. I know that he.
Jamie
I don't think anything with Ben Johnson is locked in.
Dave
Yeah.
Jamie
But it sounds like that's where he wants to be. Yeah.
Adam
Now, if you're Ben Johnson, do you. Do you want to go to. Yeah. He's a Lions defensive court offensive coordinator. Just in case anyone doesn't know. Do you want to go to Chicago? Do you want to go to Jacksonville? Take your pick.
Jamie
You want to go where there's no state tax and no cold and a.
Dave
Quarterback who doesn't have a problem holding the ball too long and, you know, leaving the pocket too soon. Like, Trevor's a little more refined than Caleb. Boy, well, he should be.
Heath
He's been in the league half a decade.
Dave
All the more reason to go with that quarterback instead of Caleb, who. He's going to have some significant flaws. No matter. I don't think he's gotten any better since I. This time last year.
Heath
Like, I. I get that. But I also, I would think, like, if you could have three Years with a quarterback on a rookie deal that might then better than working into the 40 million dollar Trevor Lawrence contract.
Adam
Well, I, I would say this, I. If you're just from a dynasty standpoint, I don't think anyone should be drawing any conclusions on Caleb Williams.
Jamie
No.
Adam
There was a report that I guess the Bears are concerned about his long term viability as a franchise quarterback. But I think that would be so stupid. I mean, a guy that has had his entire offensive line injured, perhaps a bad offensive coordinator. If you ask all the Twitter cops. Terrible offensive coordinator. I don't know. I mean, I think, I think bad quarterbacks get coordinators fired sometimes. He hasn't played well, but he's so talented. His arm is so. It's incredible. And who's like, come on, don't freak out over. Over nine games or 10 games, whatever it's been like.
Dave
Sure. Unless there's something going on behind the scenes that the rest of the world doesn't know.
Jamie
It's not just that you're freaking out because you're seeing the guy who was picked right after him looking like a generational talent. And you're seeing another guy in the first round. Two other guys in the first round that are looking like potential future franchise guys.
Dave
Right.
Jamie
And you just lost the one a week ago when you couldn't do anything offensively and that guy looked pretty calm.
Adam
Yeah, I get it. All right. Isaiah Pacheco. Isaiah Pacheco has been designated to return from ir. But he and Dave, I don't know if you have this as well. I think Pacheco has one of the worst schedules. Like he.
Dave
I got it for everybody. Adam, you don't have to worry. Go ahead.
Adam
No, I don't. I don't know if you agreed. I think Pacheco's schedule stinks. Basically.
Dave
It's not great and it's especially bad. And we've talked about this. The fantasy playoffs. I've got it graded as the fourth worst schedule for running backs. So whether it's Pacheco or Hunt, it's going to be a tough finish to the year for Kansas City.
Heath
Yeah, I'll go ahead and give myself high too. I think you try very hard to sell Pacheco off. This news that he's been activated. I've got the windows been opened because I don't even think he's a feature back probably.
Dave
Let me tell you that I came up with this half baked idea of could I sell the idea to everybody watching and listening that you could trade for Kareem Hunt? And Isaiah Pacheco and get them at discounts right now. And so I reached out to a couple of fantasy managers in some of my leagues and asked what would it take for Isaiah Pacheco. The. The results were ludicrous. All right. One of my. A friend of mine, Chris, asked for Sam Laporta and Jonathan Taylor for Isaiah Pacheco. I mean, it just like absolute. No one would accept that trade. So I think people are hoping that Isaiah Pacheco, it's almost like they think that he's going to be back this week and he's going to be back to 20 touches a game. And that's just not anywhere close to reality. I think he's right. You might be able to get a haul for Pacheco if you can find somebody who is willing to overpay for someone that. We don't know when he's coming back. We don't know what his role is going to be. He might be limited until the playoffs and then even then he's going to lose some work to Kareem Hunt. Because what's Kareem Hunt done other than, you know, is he efficient as a runner? No. But he's physically can catch the football. He can certainly take some work away from Isaiah Pacheco. Maybe the time is right to trade for Kareem Hunt because there doesn't seem to be a lot of people who are interested in. In keeping him long term thinking that Isaiah Pacheco is right around the cor.
Heath
I just, I don't know if I want to give anything up for Hunt when I think I've got maybe three weeks that I might be able to start him and then he's just a. Like, unless Pacheco gets hurt again.
Adam
So what are we thinking?
Dave
What's realistic for Pacheco coming back?
Adam
Heath?
Heath
My guess, and I, like, I don't have any inside sources, my guess is they're going to take all three weeks. I don't think they're gonna play them this week. And we've already heard that report. Then they've got the Panthers and the Raiders. He's coming off of a broken leg.
Adam
Yeah. Yes.
Heath
Like, I don't know that he's going to be 100 when in his first game back.
Jamie
So, I mean, think about the two guys that happened. This happened to in the last two years in Tony Pollard and Tank, though.
Adam
Yeah.
Heath
Yep.
Jamie
And for. For Pollard, he said it took him a year.
Adam
All right, so. So listen, I don't. I think we agree. If you were telling me a Chiefs running back was going to get 20 carries like Kareem Hunt is getting pretty much every week. We wouldn't care about the matchups. We're just not sure that. That it's going to be that way. That it could easily be a split. It could be right. Is that kind of.
Heath
That's the expectation for me. I expect it will be a split.
Jamie
They. They want Pacheco for semifinals around AFC championship game.
Dave
Right.
Jamie
Well, that's what they need him for.
Adam
Okay. All right, moving on here. Quarterback news doesn't seem like anybody expects Daniel Jones to be the starter coming out of the by. So just prepare for a change there.
Heath
Does that impact Tyrone Tracy? Like we know what mobile quarterbacks do for running back rushing efficiency. I expect Locke's going to be worse than Jones because all Brian Dables tried to do his entire time in New York is win this week. And I think he would have started Drew Lock if he thought he gave him a better chance to win any of these past weeks.
Adam
That I completely agree with.
Heath
So Drew Lock's probably worse and doesn't have the rushing ability to take attention up from the defense.
Jamie
But maybe he actually throws in the ball.
Dave
Yeah, that could possible veto could do the same.
Adam
The Raiders are expected to start Desmond Ritter. Does that hurt Jacoby Myers? I think it kind of does. I'd rather have been shoe I. I don't know.
Dave
They're all not great quarterbacks. Volume is what I buy into. With Myers, as long as he's getting eight plus targets, we're good.
Adam
That's the nice.
Dave
Terrible.
Heath
They just change in the middle of the game again.
Adam
Minshew will take that one guy and just give him targets. I don't know if Ritter will do that. We'll find out. Dak Prescott is out.
Jamie
Myers. What about Bowers?
Dave
Yeah.
Adam
Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's true. I don't know why I skipped him.
Heath
Remember what Desmond Ritter did to Kyle Pitts?
Adam
I don't love it. I don't love it. Miami right tackle Austin Jackson out for the season with a knee injury. The Dolphins also claim Tyrell Dotson, the linebacker that Seattle just waved. And Mike McDaniel said that Raheem Mostert is still the leader of the running back room and will be counting on him all season.
Jamie
Haven't they just been swapping linebackers all season? The Dolphins and the Seahawks did that.
Adam
What was the other one they did? They did.
Dave
Jerome Baker went from Miami to Seattle.
Adam
Yeah, right.
Dave
And then Seattle got rid of him. They realized what he was and now Dotson got claimed off waivers from Miami.
Jamie
I don't know if there was somebody else didn't. Who was their middle linebacker last year for Seattle that Miami was starting? Jordan Brooks.
Adam
Okay.
Dave
Yeah, yeah.
Adam
They have friend. They're friends. Miami in Seattle. George Kittle has a hamstring injury. So we're going to keep an eye on this one. Pittsburgh Edge Alex Highsmith is out this week, could miss multiple weeks. They got the Ravens coming up this week. They're getting a little healthier at edge behind Alex Highsmith, but he will, he's a great player and he'll be out for at least one week. Brian Robinson Jr. Hopeful to play this week. Let's talk about the Thursday game here. So Brian Robinson Jr. Hoping to get back on the field this week. Washington cornerback Marshawn Lattimore missed practice. Remember, he has the hamstring injury. And Dallas Goddard and Devonte Smith, they missed practice on Monday. They were upgraded to limited on Tuesday. That's a great sign. We'll talk about that game in a little bit. All right, let's get into buy lows and sell highs and I'll just tell you guys we're going to do it a little bit quicker than we usually do because you know, we usually start at this top of the show with that. But I think we've established the values of some players just to grade the trade. So we've done that. But let's do it a little bit more here. Buy low, sell high. Jamie, why don't you start with buy low.
Jamie
I would buy low on DeAndre Swift with the coordinator change. You know, Thomas Brown hopefully will lean on him as much as possible. He's coming off a down game. I think that's always a good time when you're looking at a player who said a good body of work to say okay, can he continue that or is it going to be something that's that's bad. And clearly everything. Everybody looking at the Bears right now thinks everything is bad. So there's an opportunity here to get him relatively cheap and I would try to do so if you possibly can.
Adam
So one point against DeAndre Swift. How much does this matter to you? Minnesota and Detroit, pretty good run defenses, sometimes a little inconsistent. He plays them four times before the season ends. That's great news for the receivers. But for DeAndre Swift, Minnesota, Detroit, four matchups against them, does that, does that affect your buy low?
Jamie
It certainly is something you have to factor in. But, you know, you're also looking at it as how much am I, how much do I have to trade away? What do I have to trade away to get him? You know, and so if it's not something that's going to break your fantasy team, you shouldn't do that. But if you're finding a way to upgrade your team by getting Swift, then you should.
Adam
TYRONE Tracy or DeAndre Swift, rest of season, Swift.
Dave
I would agree. Swift. I just, I worry that the price tag for Swift is going to be too high and that he. People still have agreed. I do think like Tom, sorry, Thomas Brown we saw last year when he took over in Carolina, like he stayed true to his running backs. He's a former running back and so I would imagine the very first thing he'll do is try and get DeAndre Swift going even behind the substandard offensive line.
Adam
Okay. Heath by low.
Heath
I, well, I said Mike Evans.
Adam
Okay.
Heath
That's probably my, my number one target. I'm still buying low on Bree hall also, and I'd like to do it before this week, like as soon as possible.
Adam
I saw a CD Lamb for Breeze. Hall. I mean, that's just a layup, right?
Dave
For Hall?
Heath
Yeah, I, I also, I'm not quite as down on CD Lamb, I don't think, as everybody else seems to be. It was an awful game, but it's still like he's going to get double digit targets every game. We've seen five or six games of him with Cooper Rush. None of them were as bad as that one. I, I think CD Lamb's still a buy low too.
Dave
Would you agree that expectations are lowered now for Lamb because of the quarterback change? I mean, you'd almost have to, right? Well, what do you think he could average on a PPR per game basis? Okay. And he was really close to that. If he had caught the touchdown when he was blinded by the sun against Philadelphia last week. If he catches that pass, it's 15.5 PPR points.
Jamie
Did you just change the filter on your camera? Make the sun in your eyes too?
Dave
Oh, me. That was brilliant. Oh, it's the sun coming in from one of the windows in My house. But if that Earl. I should have just said I was.
Jamie
That's. The timing could not have been better.
Adam
That was great.
Dave
Dave, Richard coming to you live from AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
Adam
Okay, so I want to know if you guys would have laughed at this. What the hell is going on with you? This is amazing. I wonder if you would have laughed at this. So we did. Who has more on yesterday's.
Dave
There's literally nothing I can do about this, by the way.
Adam
This is so funny.
Dave
I have no curtains on the windows in my house.
Adam
Yeah, so we did. Who has more on CBS Sports Network? What were some of the. Oh, Heath. Who has more teeth, a shark or a snail?
Heath
A snail.
Adam
Correct. Snails have over 25,000 teeth. Most of any animal. They're on their tongue, though. I was gonna say, who has more shades at and t Stadium or 80s pop singer Corey Hart at night? Is that funny?
Dave
My house has none.
Adam
It's funny, right, jb? It's funny. You know, you don't. The reference. I wear my sunglasses at night. You don't really? Really?
Jamie
Yeah. No, no. I'm trying to think, though, what the. What the number is the one to nothing.
Adam
It's him.
Jamie
He wins.
Heath
No, that's the most brilliant thing of all. They have the shades. They just don't put them down because it's such an advantage to them.
Adam
All right, But I'm sorry, he's just to go back. Dave's video is amazing. If you're not watching on YouTube, you have to go to YouTube.com.
Jamie
It'S just more amazing that that's exactly.
Adam
What he was talking about. I know. And it's like the 26 minute mark, but he's Breeze hall or CD Lamb. Rest of season.
Heath
I'd probably take hole, but I. I'd like to buy low on both.
Adam
Dave is with Snoop.
Dave
Is that better? I'll just. I'll just be like this for the next 20 minutes in the show.
Jamie
It's like. It's like Dave's running out of. For Hurricanes game through the smoke.
Adam
All right, Dave, who are you buying low on?
Dave
I got a huge list. Hi, guys. I got a huge list. Josh Jacobs is at the top of the list. 15 plus touches in all but one game, 20 plus PPR points and two of his. Like, this isn't where I'm just gonna sit down. You guys are gonna have to deal with the camera being like this. And I. I think he finishes strong. I don't mind his schedule. I think that the packers can lean on him still as their main running back. And I think you can get him at a pretty decent discount.
Heath
Josh, like, you've done probably 500 podcasts from that chair with that window.
Dave
What?
Heath
Like, is everything okay?
Dave
No.
Heath
I think I need to go look outside and see what's happened to the sun.
Dave
The sun is now my new neighbor. I don. It's also hot in here. I don't know what the hell's going on. Maybe I should. Maybe I should head for the hills. I don't know.
Adam
All right. John Jacobs and.
Dave
But that's one. I got a few more. Nick Chubb, same thing. I just think that he's going to start to get more work and coming off the buy, he'll be fresher. Heath mentioned Mike Evans. I think all Tampa players are in play just because their schedule the rest of the season. I think it's good for everybody. The one that I think you can get relatively cheap and potentially end up having a starter, maybe even evolving into a number two running back the rest of the way is Bucky Irving. I think that he's going to continue to just take more work on the rushing downs away from Rashad White. You watch these guys play. Bucky's the better runner, and I think that they need to get him more involved. So I would take the chance on him if they're going. Look, I'm. I. I have the sun coming into my camera and Jamie is as red.
Adam
As the sun when it's so funny.
Dave
It's like Jamie's beaming into my house right now. And then I. You know, the whole deal that I was going to make about Kareem Hunt and Pacheco, we. We talked about on the show and just the fact that people seem to be very high on Pacheco.
Adam
Look at Jamie. Jamie's off screen. He is laughing.
Dave
This is Jamie is Chiefs red. Right now I. I'm thinking. I'm thinking Kareem Hunt. If you use them for the next few weeks and you trade form cheap because people are sour because Pacheco is going to come back.
Adam
Yeah.
Dave
I think you just go for it. My sound is okay, right?
Adam
Yeah, you sound great.
Dave
That's what matters. Who cares how I look?
Adam
It's starting.
Dave
No one's watching the show for how I look. Anyway.
Heath
Be.
Adam
Because this is incredible. All right, let's go to some sell highs. Let's throw it over to Jamie and see if we can complete a sentence right now. Who are you selling high on?
Jamie
Jb.
Dave
He's crying.
Adam
Jamie, sell high.
Jamie
What did I say yesterday?
Adam
I don't remember.
Jamie
I don't remember either.
Dave
So high on the UV in my house.
Adam
So high on Dave Shades. Yes. I like that.
Dave
Oh, my God.
Adam
Let's see. All right, we'll go. We'll go back to Jamie Heath. Who you selling high on?
Heath
I gave my buy low and my sell high earlier in the show.
Dave
I think it's that window up there.
Heath
What's going on with Dave's camera right now? I don't understand.
Dave
No, I'm moving it.
Adam
No, you're good.
Dave
Trying to show you which window it is.
Adam
Okay.
Heath
You're fine.
Adam
It cleared up. You're good.
Heath
Isaiah Pacheco.
Dave
Am I? I don't know.
Heath
Was my, Was my sell high? Yeah.
Adam
All right. All right. So. So if people. Bottom line is in case you missed the last 15 minutes, if anyone or have been distracted, if anyone thinks that Isaiah Pacheco is coming back and winning you your league, we just don't really see it.
Heath
I don't think he's going to be a starting running back in fantasy.
Adam
Okay.
Heath
I don't think he's not. Not just. I don't think he's coming back and winning your league. I don't think he's going to be a top 24 running back for the rest of the season or probably Even a top 24 running back from the point he returns for the rest of the season.
Adam
Okay. And Dave, who are you selling high on?
Dave
I got four names, one bucks player that I wonder if you mercury.
Adam
Is.
Dave
K.in a cell high guys knowing that Evans is coming back and his volume won't be as big. I know it's not great timing because he's coming off his worst game since.
Heath
Evans got her and going into his buy. Yeah, I, I think, I think that one like I saw in one of my dynasty leagues, somebody put out there three weeks ago that they would sell K. Dutton for a second round rookie pick and nobody.
Dave
Yeah. Would you take a third round rookie pick for kdan?
Heath
Like what am I trading a third round rookie pick for?
Dave
Well, listen, if you've got a decent tight end to start in place of Otten, getting the third round rookie pick probably makes more sense long term.
Heath
I think I offered Adam a second and a third round rookie pick.
Adam
Yes.
Heath
Yesterday it was no.
Adam
For Quentin Johnston. I, I couldn't.
Dave
That's not Kate Otten.
Adam
No.
Heath
I was surprised that you didn't take it.
Adam
I. It kind of messed with my head. I. It made me think a lot and I don't like doing that with trades. So I'm thinking I'm still thinking you're.
Jamie
Offering Kate Otten for his Quentin Johnson.
Heath
No, I offered my second and third for Quentin Johnston.
Adam
Sean Tucker.
Heath
Sean Tucker.
Adam
Yeah, I think I might do that because I, I have McConkey. I don't think I want two Chargers receivers.
Heath
Right.
Adam
So. All right. Anywho, a few more names. Yeah, yeah, please.
Dave
Brock Bowers. Yeah. You know, we can throw the Desmond Ritter starting situation on top of it, but if Jacoby Myers is going to take a lot of targets, then there could be some weeks where he doesn't get a lot of targets. Still think that Brock bowers is a top 5ish type of fantasy tight end. But if someone's overpaying because they want to lock up their tight end spot on their fantasy team, you can do it. And we've illustrated for the past couple of weeks now that you can find a startable tight end off the waiver wire pretty easily. And you might even see some other guys get dropped after the bye weeks. Wind down Chuba Hubbard as a mega sell high just coming off this monster game. Jonathan. It's not even because of Jonathan Brooks, because I don't think Brooks is going to do that much. But can he be as good as he was against the Giants down the stretch? I wonder if you're okay at running back. Remember, we drafted Chuba Hubbard in like round nine, round ten. I, I think that he's somebody that you could sell high on if you've got the running back depth. And maybe I just don't ever learn my lesson, guys. But Kyler Murray, no question, top 10 fantasy quarterback, maybe even closer to like top six. But he's coming off of a game where he ran for two touchdowns and through for only one. And I don't know how often he's going to do that. And I wonder if he's a sell high type of player at this point. Particularly if you think you can go to your waiver wire and roll the rest of the way with some combination of Bo Nicks, Russell Wilson, Justin Herbert, whoever else comes off the waiver wire. Or if you've got Kyler Murray and another quarterback, I would say now's the perfect time to trade Kyler Murray, certainly before the trade deadline in your league.
Adam
I think it's arguable that he's coming off the best game of his career in the sense that he threw 17 straight completions and, you know, he still only threw 24 passes. That's been the issue all year for.
Heath
Kyler, but man, he might be the number one Quarterback in fantasy. In the fantasy playoffs.
Adam
Well, you think so? Because again, I see another scenario where he's not throwing that much. New England at Carolina, at the Rams.
Jamie
Your theory has been all season, when he's challenged, he's done. He's been better when the team's been.
Adam
Challenged, he's been better when he has to throw. Yeah.
Heath
I mean, was the team challenged last week?
Adam
No, but that's what I'm saying. He's coming off his, his best game.
Dave
It's almost like you have to count on him using his legs to have a big game. I think he could still have a 20 point fantasy game without using his legs that much. But I, I just like a 30 point game, something close to 30. I don't think I'm gonna see that even in the, I mean, anytime you.
Jamie
Get a player that's coming off such a spike performance, it's not a bad idea to try and sell them, but it's just a matter of, you know, what, what are you replacing him with? And so if you want to trust Dave's, you know, path and just play the waiver wire, you know, so you're going from Kyler to maybe Wilson to maybe Drake May to, you know, there, there aren't quarterbacks that have the same ceiling that Kyler does when they're both on their games, but you can certainly get by with what else you're getting in return for Kyler. And that's the, that's the.
Dave
I do have their schedule graded top five both for the rest of the season and the fantasy playoffs.
Heath
So I think we're also maybe forgetting like how many great, great, great games Kyler Murray has had. And some of the stretches he's had were like six or seven weeks of averaging 30 fantasy points per game is not that unusual. He, he threw for 400 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another touchdown of the game once. Yeah, like he's got as much upside as anybody.
Dave
Would you argue that he's got plenty of downside too? Because he's got a bunch of games this year with under 15 fantasy points and six point per passing touchdown.
Adam
Leagues under 17, he's got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. And the last time he scored 30 or more points, he fin. He followed that up with about 38 points or no, about 28 points in his next two games combined.
Dave
It's amazing. He's got five games with at least 22 and five games with under 17.
Adam
All right, well, I mean, look, if.
Jamie
You'Re trading him, you got to get something Significant return, you know, it's. You're not giving away.
Dave
Yeah, yeah, yeah. This isn't to say that he's gonna absolutely stink for the rest of the season.
Jamie
The one, the one I gave you yesterday as a sell high candidate was Drake London. Yeah, just with tough matchup against the Broncos this week, then a bye week, then the Chargers. So two weeks where he may not be useful for you, obviously one where he's not playing and then a questionable matchup against the, the Chargers. And again, you're not giving him away, you're not trying to just trade him. To trade him. The example I gave yesterday. Could you turn Drake London into Nico Collins? And that's something I would try to explore.
Dave
What do you think of his schedule for the fantasy playoffs?
Adam
So you've gotta, like, you may not buy it, but Las Vegas has been one of the best against wide receivers. They are giving up the fifth fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. They haven't had tough opponents for the most part, but it is kind of weird.
Dave
So like the Panthers last year, three of his next.
Adam
That's true, right? You can run on them. Three of his next four opponents are top six against wide receivers. Drake London, we're talking about Denver, Chargers, then he has Minnesota and then Las Vegas. But after that, I mean Giants in Washington, I think he could destroy and he could, he could be good against Las Vegas. But just for the record, they are really tough so far, so it's interesting. But okay, London, I thought, you know what, we'll get in that game I think tomorrow. But I thought you guys were going to rank Mooney ahead of London this week and I don't think you did.
Jamie
I do.
Adam
You do. Okay. Consensus is, I think pretty close. Now. I teased a wide receiver that I think has one of the toughest schedules coming up and that wide receiver is someone that we're about to talk about. Terry McLaurin, because he could have. The Eagles have been amazing. He got, he has them twice and then he could have Legarius Sneed in week 13. So we'll see if anybody's worried about that. But before we get into his long term outlook, we have to talk about Terry McLaurin's short term outlook. Do we trust him? Not yet, Dave, because we got to take a break and then we'll do the music. So we'll be right back on fantasy football today. I know we've got some football fans out there and I'm thinking, hey, maybe you need some new cleats or your kid needs new cleats or someone you know. Let me talk to you about New Balance and a couple of awesome cleats that they've got. First of all, from the beginning, New Balance's goal has been to make the best fitting, most comfortable football cleat in the game. So let's talk about the Prodigy and the Fortress. The Prodigy is intelligent speed built for skill position players who turn split second reactions into game changing plays. The Prodigy is lightweight and supportive with a focus on springing off the toe, making a quick cut and then accelerating on grass and artificial surfaces. Now for the players with size, strength and speed inside the box, New Balance also has the Fortress. This is how I felt last week and Thursday Night Football totally delivered. But I have a take. I think the Eagles are going to win like by at least the touchdown. I'm feeling good about the Eagles. How are you guys feeling?
Jamie
They're rolling right now so it's hard not to doubt that.
Heath
Yeah, like the one thing Washington hasn't really fixed doesn't seem is their run defense and the Eagles are maybe the best run offense in the league. And Jalen Hurts is playing good football too. I think like this is such a fun week because it's almost like we've got some some divisional matchups for the MVP race. Like it's Jalen Hurts and Jaden Daniels, winner of this game gets to be in the race with Lamar, then you got Mahomes and Allen. Winner gets to stay in the race with Lamar. It's. It's a lot of fun.
Adam
Yeah.
Dave
And it's also a lot of matchups with teams with winning records. So a lot of good teams facing off against each other. And this is a perfect example of.
Heath
It really helps to have the Giants and Panthers on a buy.
Adam
All right, so who are the, who are the tough calls in this game?
Dave
Yeah, I think there's really only two. It's whoever's running the ball for Washington and Devonte Smith. And maybe you could throw Dallas Goddard as a tough call too.
Jamie
Well, it's, it's a combination of Smith and Got it right. Because if they both play, then it's. Who can you trust more?
Adam
Yeah, right, Sure.
Heath
I, I think Brian Robinson's a tough call if he plays. I don't think Eckler's a tough call if Brian Robinson's out.
Adam
But yeah, the Eagle. The Eagles also, on a per carry basis, still not very good, but they're crushing teams. So here's the deal with the Eagles. Since they're by the last five games, since week six, they are the best defense in football and they're destroying teams. And now four straight opponents have had 18 running back carries or fewer. And that's really low. Okay, that's not one guy getting 18. That's the entire backfield getting 18. So if it's Eckler, I mean that could mean, you know, 13 carries for Eckler could mean 13 carries for Brian Robinson or something like that if it stays. Now they're obviously commanders could have more carries than that, but they're crushing teams. So teams are falling behind. Hopefully it's going to be a competitive game. Three and a half points spread, Eagles are favored. But that is my first stat of the game stat of the game. Number one is that the Eagles are just limiting running back opportunities right now. And if Brian Robinson plays, does he, does he crack the top 20?
Heath
No, no.
Dave
I'm thinking no.
Jamie
No, he scenario is, is what you want. You want Robinson to sit so you can rely on Eckler.
Adam
I mean, I'm gonna tell you, I'm in a PPR league and I would start in my league, Brian Robinson Jr. I'm gonna start either JSN or Cedric Tillman over him as a flex.
Dave
I get it.
Adam
Yes. Gonna play it safe there. Now if he doesn't play Austin Eckler, I'll just throw those guys out there. I don't have Eckler So this isn't about me, but Cedric Tillman, JSN or Austin Eckler.
Jamie
In ppr, I'd go Tillman, Eckler, Jason.
Dave
I'm pretty sure I'm taking the receivers over Eckler, too.
Adam
Heath, you've been pretty high on Eckler, and he's come through when Robinson's been out in at least two, if not all three games. I think maybe the Baltimore game, he struggled a bit, but would you be super high on him again?
Heath
Yeah, I think I've got him 14th or something right now without Brian Robinson. So I. I think you're gonna get 15 touches. I like your chances of getting a touchdown. Hopefully he catches a couple more passes.
Adam
If Robinson plays, would you start Robinson or Ramondre Stevenson against the Rams?
Jamie
Ramonje.
Heath
Yes, that's the one. I was just like, I was just looking at that RB 23 through 26 range, and I think. I think I'd probably have Ramonre, too.
Jamie
I would start Nick Chubb gladly over Brian Robinson.
Adam
Okay, Nick Chubb is at New Orleans and. All right, so here's. I watched. I watched some tape. I want to see. How are the Eagles pulling this off? Because the last five games, they've held now Amari Cooper, Malik neighbors, Jamar chase, Brian Thomas Jr. And CD Lamb to 54 or fewer yards, and only Chase scored a touchdown. So I watched the tape of Chase, I watched the tape of Malik, Neighbors, and then I went and I saw. Did the numbers confirm this? And this is basically what the Eagles are doing. They're not shadowing. They're not like double teaming on every play. They don't let anything get behind them. They have a. This is an insane stat. In their last.
Dave
This is a Vic Fangio defense to a T. This.
Adam
In their last. Yes, exactly. In their last five games, they have allowed one completion of 20 or more air yards.
Heath
One.
Adam
And I believe it was Jermaine Burton. They. The. The Bengals tried a deep ball to Jamar Chase. I don't. You probably remember the play. It was batted and then intercepted. Was a great play. The Giants tried one deep ball to Malik Neighbors. It was batted away. So no one's getting behind them. And additionally, their tackling has been fantastic. They were allowing, I think, the fewest yak, fewest yards after catch of any team over the last five games. So they're just not giving up any big plays. So what does this mean for Terry McClaren, who has been an unbelievable automatic start since week three? Does anyone have any hesitation for McLaren?
Dave
I mean, I've been starting Terry McLaren as a number one wide receiver lately. Now he's a high end number two. I can't see myself peeling away from him. And a lot of it has to do and I think credit is, is deserved to both him and Jane Daniels, like Daniels as a thrower has been outstanding this year and even against tough competition, I could see McLaurin and Daniels connecting for some big gains. I, I, there's too much upside to just flatly say, ah, maybe you could find three or four other wide receivers that you can start ahead of McLaurin. I think he's a number two and a high end number two at that.
Adam
Okay. 98 yards or a touchdown in eight straight games for Terry McLaurin and he's ranked. Dave's the lowest on him by the way, but everyone's got him between 8th and 13th for McLaren.
Jamie
To be fair, since their bye week it's been Cincinnati and a bunch of.
Dave
Scrubs who the Eagles Phillies played.
Adam
It's fair but not scrub. Wide receivers necessarily like.
Jamie
Yeah, but the quarterbacks have been terrible.
Adam
Yeah, it's true. But yeah, their defense though, I mean.
Dave
Again we were Sean Watson, Daniel Jones.
Jamie
Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence and the Cowboys mess. There's one quarterback there that matters.
Dave
Right. And they were, you know, a blinded window away or blind CD Lamb didn't have the touchdown because of the sun.
Adam
Okay. But he still was having a bad game.
Dave
He was, but he still would have had over 15 PPR play.
Jamie
I mean, right. This is a huge difference.
Dave
He was, he was wide open in the end zone. It was just dumb luck that cost him a touchdown there. 99 times out of 100 that's a touchdown. You go back and watch that play. Lamb was open.
Adam
It's a two yard touchdown. It's not like an indictment on the Eagles defense, but if the Eagles but.
Dave
It'S a volumeist receiver who's going to get a lot of catches and that's what McLaren basically is. Maybe not to the same degree as Agree.
Adam
I agree. If the Eagles shut down Terry McLaren, I think we have to consider them arguably this toughest or second toughest matchup for number one receivers.
Jamie
They're definitely tough. This isn't to undersell that their defense has not played well, but they've also just played one of the easiest stretches of schedules you could possibly find.
Adam
I don't know if I agree with that. In terms of quarterbacks. Yes. In terms of wide receivers, I don't, I don't know that I, But I.
Jamie
Mean how does it not impact the Receivers.
Adam
No, it does. But. But you all were starting Malik neighbors that week, you know.
Jamie
Well, starting them and expecting them to be at their best against a good defense is not exactly the same thing. Like, this is what I mean, what Burrow did and what, what. What Chase did was not at their best. But they still gave you production.
Adam
Yeah, Chase had nine catches, 54 yards, and a touchdown on 11 targets. All right, we've belabored the point. Heath, any interest in Devonte Smith in a game that could be pretty high scoring? Maybe. We actually get more than 25 pass attempts from Jalen Hurts.
Heath
He's a low end number three for me. If Dallas Goddard and he are both active, he's probably more of a high end number three, low end number two. If Dallas Goddard's out, the Washington run defense remains pretty bad. The Washington pass defense has been mostly good in the second half of the games they've played.
Adam
Okay, so Brian Robinson Jr. Or Devonte Smith. Let's assume Goddard and Smith are both playing Brian Robinson Jr. Or Smith.
Heath
Robinson.
Dave
I'll take Smith.
Jamie
I'll take Smith, too.
Adam
Okay, in the scenario, Robinson's out easily. Eckler over Smith?
Dave
Yes, yes, I think so.
Adam
Devonte Smith or DJ Moore against the Packers?
Dave
Smith.
Heath
I think I have more higher, but they're like back to back.
Adam
Devonte Adams or Devonte Smith?
Dave
Adams, Devante, Adam.
Adam
Dave. Man, I don't know what was happening when your. When your camera got all foggy.
Dave
My branch fried.
Adam
And then. All right, we're going to start both of the quarterbacks. Is there any hot take on who you'd start over? Hertz or Jaden Daniels?
Jamie
Purdy over Daniels this week?
Heath
I have it that way, too.
Dave
I have it that way. Three Burrow as well. So Burrow and Purdy over Jane Daniels.
Adam
All right, Purdy gets Seattle and Burrow gets the Chargers. That's interesting. So burrow over Daniels with that matchup at the Charger Sunday night. All right, we got some good, good prime time games until Monday. And the tight ends? How about the tight ends? I'm not missing anybody. Mia AJ Brown, obviously a start. Hertz Barkley. But Goddard. Goddard or Ertz? Who do you like better?
Jamie
Goddard slightly.
Dave
Neither one has stopped well for me.
Heath
Yeah, I got her slightly.
Adam
Are we going with Hunter Henry? Are we going with Taysom Hill over these guys? Yep.
Dave
Yes.
Jamie
Hill over Earth.
Dave
Yes.
Adam
And then I think, you know, you could have a. Oh, I got some good question here. I'll get to that in a second. A Devonte Smith question, but you could have a You know, a Micah Sicki conundrum. Right. If T. Higgins doesn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, play it out and then drop Kosicki for Dawson Knox or something like that, if you have to do that.
Dave
But that's assuming that we don't see Kincaid at practice either by Thursday, so.
Adam
Right.
Dave
We're juggling.
Adam
All right. Maybe you could pivot to Will Disley. But the fact is you don't. You don't like Goddard or Zach Ertz that much. Where you'd want to take your Gasicki upside out of the equation, I guess.
Dave
That'S fair to say.
Adam
Okay, question from the chat. Devonte Smith or Juwan Jennings? Half ppr.
Jamie
Jenny.
Heath
Yeah, Jennings.
Dave
I might go with Smith.
Adam
Justin Herbert or Jaden Daniels?
Jamie
Daniel Daniels.
Dave
I have them back to back. I thought about Herbert. As of now, it's still Daniels.
Adam
Dallas Goddard or Taysom Hill?
Jamie
Goddard. Ppr. Taste him. And none.
Dave
That's a good way to do it.
Adam
And Devonte Smith or JSN Smith?
Dave
And Jigba for me.
Adam
And Bo wants to know if you would trade T. Higgins for CD Lamb in an unrelated question.
Dave
I think I want Higgins rest of the way. I'm just not sure when he's going to come back. So that's obviously an important part of the equation.
Heath
I'd go Lamb.
Jamie
The thing with Higgins is if he doesn't play this week, you don't get until week 13.
Dave
Yeah, that's why I'm a little skittish on that one. By the way. I. I watched Devonte Smith snaps last week because, you know, he's dealing with this hamstring injuries. He slowed down at all? I didn't really think so. And there was one play where he stacked his coverage. He was wide open and Jalen hurts under throw him. If he. If he doesn't under throw him. That's a 65 yard touchdown. But that's. That's Devonte Smith's game right now. Is Boomer bust. And so appropriately ranking him as a number three receivers is the right thing to do.
Adam
Okay, so that will do it. Oh, Eagles. DST is 10th for Jamie, six for Dave and 12th for Heath. Although those were rankings on Tuesday. So I invite you to please double check on all of the rankings because they do change from Tuesday to Thursday.
Dave
Them day of game.
Adam
Yeah. Okay. That is it, Dave for Thursday Night Football.
Dave
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Adam
All right. And here's a special edition of the Fantasy Cops. This one came across the inbox and I said this will be a good one to Read on the show. It is from someone in Canada. No name Dave.
Dave
Name Victor. Victor from Calgary.
Adam
In a family and friends league, we have a commissioner who's pretty lenient and likes to make sure everyone has a fun legal lineup. He will alert people if their lineup isn't complete and give them a heads up. For example, this week he alerted the 11th place team that he didn't have a kicker. They then picked up Sanders and beat the second place team. Who isn't thrilled? I am writing into the fantasy Cops because I had Jonathan brooks in my RB2 spot and he was a late inactive. I was playing hockey that morning so I didn't have an opportunity to check in the past. Camara was a late scratch in London and the commissioner manually changed this manager's lineup for him. I've attached a screenshot for evidence. Should the commissioner have made the change of taking Brooks out of my lineup for the only other active running back on my roster, Jalen Warren, which would have given me the win in my matchup.
Jamie
If he's done it for everybody else, then yes, he's got to do it for you.
Dave
Right. This is when you're nice to a fault.
Jamie
Right. You can't, you can't. You can't do it and be selective. If you're going to do it, you should.
Heath
Yeah. This guy probably should not be a commissioner.
Adam
Well, no.
Dave
Well, he should be like the mayor of a town, but he shouldn't be to the point where he's going to tuck everybody in the town at night, make sure everybody's cars are in the garage and all that stuff.
Heath
Like, just to clarify, like you guys are saying that he should have done it, but we're not going back and reversing this game and giving him a win. Like, I'm sorry the commissioner didn't take care of setting your lineup for you, but you, you lose.
Adam
Right.
Dave
I don't think commissioner sounds like a.
Adam
Nice guy, the commissioner. I don't think he needs to do it for everyone. I think it's a nice thing that he's doing, but it's ultimately your responsibility. You have a sort of safety net with the commissioner changing lineups, but you can't rely on that. So I don't think the commissioner did anything wrong here. Unfortunately, Victor, which is not your real name from Canada, you're out of luck. It's. It's a shame.
Jamie
But if he's done it for everybody else, I don't know that he's done.
Adam
It for everybody else. He's done it occasionally.
Jamie
Oh, if it's occasionally, then that's. He should be fired as the commissioner. And. And then this guy's out of luck. But if he did it for everybody, then he's got a do it for this guy too. Even retro.
Adam
If he did it for everyone, then maybe. But if he just does it, like most of the time as a nice thing to do, I still think it's your responsibility. Right. As the manager.
Dave
He. You're saying that he went into somebody's lineup and fixed it, like the Camara issue last year? Yeah, he fixed that for somebody. He didn't just text and say, hey, man, sorry for the early morning text. Camaro is inactive. You might want to fix that. He literally went into somebody else.
Jamie
I also want to know when did. When did Victor find out that Brooks was in his lineup inactive? Like, if he was playing hockey, did he check right away or did he look seven hours later and say, oh, crap, I forgot to take Jonathan Brooks out of my line.
Heath
Also, none of us had Jonathan Brooks ranked over Jalen Warren anyway. So what were you doing?
Adam
Well, that one. I don't know that I. Well, that's it. I think you got some clarity there from the fantasy cop. Someone asked, how do I submit to the fantasy cops? You send an email to fantasy footballbsi.com and you put fantasy cops in the subject line. And now the moment no one's been waiting for. Schedule analysis. Actually, I like this. I enjoy this exercise. Unfortunately, I've only left myself about five minutes to do it. So, Dave, you can help me out because you do it every week. Who's got the best schedules coming up? I specifically looked at just weeks 15 through. Started looking at weeks 15 through 17. And then I, you know, would get. You write those names down and then sort of expand it. Do they have good seasons, good schedules, rest of season at quarterback, just say.
Heath
There'S one name, maybe two, and you can. And there's seven that don't matter.
Adam
Yeah. Yeah. So. Right. The ones that you would actually start are Bo Nicks and Baker Mayfield. They have really good schedules going forward, I think. Yeah, we talked. Dave said earlier, buy low on the Bucks because it just gets incredibly good after the. After the buy. With the exception of the Chargers on the road in weeks 15. 15 at running back. Breeze hall has a great schedule. The Buccaneers running backs have a great schedule. The Raiders running backs have. Have great matchups in weeks 16 and 17. That doesn't matter. Bijan has a great playoff schedule. Does anybody care? Rico Dowdle has Carolina and Tampa Bay in The playoffs, they're bad against running backs, I think. No, yeah, yeah.
Jamie
I mean, you should care.
Dave
He's.
Jamie
He's a flex.
Adam
Chuba Hubbard has a great schedule in the playoffs. James Connor has a great schedule in the playoffs. On paper, J.K. dobbins has a good schedule. But before that, in the playoffs. Before that, he has a terrible schedule. As I talked about earlier.
Dave
Yeah, his next four games are going to be tough. And then obviously, that goes for everybody on the Chargers. It's not just him.
Adam
Wide receivers. D.J. moore has the Viking. D.J. moore has an amazing schedule of the Vikings. Now, like, I don't know if it is, because the Vikings, they're really good, but they just. They get thrown on a ton. But just on paper, the Vikings and The Lions are 30th and 31st against wide receivers, and he faces them four times. And then he faces Seattle in the fantasy championships. But I can't tell you to buy low on DJ Moore. It wouldn't make any sense. Jaden Reed, great playoff schedule. What do we think about DeAndre Hopkins schedule going forward? Dave, how do you have him ranked? He gets Denver again, but not until week 18. And in the fantasy playoffs, Cleveland, they're 28th. Houston their 24th, Pittsburgh, their 12th. But they all have good cornerbacks.
Dave
Right.
Adam
That could theoretically shadow Hopkins.
Dave
I think this is one of the toughest playoff schedules for any wide receiver.
Adam
Okay.
Dave
So when I break this down, I don't look at fantasy points. I'm more judging just who's on the field for them. Because remember, like, when you look at fantasy points allowed over the course of the season, you're taking into account things that happened in September which might not apply in December or January. So that's part of the. The science behind what I do for the strength of schedule. And I still view those defenses that you mentioned that Kansas City is going to play as tough for all their wide receivers. I actually think it's the second toughest schedule that's out there for the fantasy playoffs. It makes me nervous to expect big things from DeAndre Hopkins in the fantasy playoffs.
Adam
And this is good because, you know, this is a combination of just looking at what the raw numbers say and Dave's subjectivity, which is very helpful. Calvin Ridley, though, I did want to highlight. I already have highlighted. I think on paper, Calvin Ridley's schedule is among the best in football.
Dave
Agreed.
Adam
And Jacoby Myers, great fantasy playoff schedule. And right before that, he gets Tampa Bay. So the next three weeks might not be great for Myers. Hopefully he can finish strong. Yeah. Okay, Malik Neighbors. Like, he couldn't get much better from Malik Neighbors. He has an unbelievable schedule. Does this matter for you? Because he's had some good matchups in the past, and the last four weeks have been really disappointing.
Dave
Malik Neighbors, I mean, we're all a little nervous.
Jamie
You're starting, like, yes, okay, it helps, but we don't know the quarterback. There's just too much uncertainty right now with Neighbors.
Dave
How many more games can he have? Like he had at the beginning of the season?
Adam
That's 20 points. I. I don't know if they're. I'm. I'll give. I'll give them one, one, maybe two. Like Tampa, he has Tampa Bay and Baltimore left on his schedule, and the Falcons are not much better that he's got such a good schedule, but, God.
Dave
It'S a great schedule, but he's just saddled with crappy quarterbacks, and the quarterbacks are gonna get harassed. You know, like, you think about that matchup against Baltimore Ravens pass rush might have a field day against the Giants in that offensive line, and that'll make things a little bit harder. And there have been huge gaps in each of the last two games where Neighbors hasn't gotten any targets whatsoever. And it's been maddening. Like, how in the world do you not get him involved from the jump and then keep it going all game long? Yeah, you. You really need to get Wandale Robinson that much involved, or are you just. Are you just coaching your quarterbacks to take what the defense gives you?
Adam
And if that's happening, coaching the quarterbacks, it's. That's Daniel Jones. Jones, he doesn't process. He does not process. And he goes to wonder because he can't throw the ball downfield.
Dave
Okay, well, I can't imagine it's going to get that much better with drew locker, Tommy DeVito. So I'm nervous. But you know what the upside is. So you're going to keep rolling him out there as a number two fantasy receiver.
Adam
I like Cortland Sutton's schedule going forward.
Dave
CD Lamb, I don't love his in the fantasy playoffs. It's closer to average for me.
Adam
Okay. CD Lamb has a good playoff schedule, but then again, he has Philadelphia in week 17. That could be tough.
Dave
Devonte, he's got the same quarterback issue that that Malik Neighbors had. And Lamb, almost all of his targets were short targets last week.
Adam
The jets have a pretty good schedule coming up. Very good, I'd say.
Dave
Bye.
Heath
Briesol.
Adam
You like George Pickens schedule? He's got a pretty good One on paper.
Dave
Let me see what it is, because I was going to look at Bruce Hall's schedule. I've. I do not like the Steelers schedule. I think it's below average, regardless of how you slice it. Rest of the year, last three games, his next four games.
Adam
He's got two games against Baltimore coming up. The Bengals are bad against the past. The Browns. See, that's the thing you might. I don't know how you value the Browns. They've been one of the worst against wide receivers. Their bottom five against wide receivers, the Cleveland Browns.
Heath
The thing that I like for both Russ and Pickens is they face a lot of defenses down the stretch that are real much, much better against the run than they are the passage. And we still haven't seen Russell Wilson throw 30 passes in a game yet. Like, we. They might actually play some teams that force them to throw the ball a little bit more. Pickens has been a very good fantasy wide receiver on a team that's not throwing hardly at all. If. If they have to throw it 33, 34 times a game, Pickens might be a top five guy.
Adam
And then who do they play? They play the Ravens twice. They play the Bengals, they play the Eagles, they play the Chiefs. These are teams that could put up points, so that's good.
Dave
I'm hoping that it works out for him. And honestly, at this point, just the way that Russ has been playing and the way that Pickens has been playing, I do feel like he's borderline matchup proof. But this week's going to go a long way into determining just whether or not that's true.
Adam
Well, he's got the best matchup in.
Dave
Fantasy, but it's also. It's one of those matchups where. And we'll talk about this again later this week. Like, you can trust the matchup or do you trust the history, which is. These are always low scoring field goal fests.
Adam
Yeah. Okay. All right. Sorry. I'll try to wrap up here. I know we're going long. Bad matchups. Geez. Anybody care about Jared Goff and the Lions in general? I mean, Jared Goff's playoff schedule is the Bills at the Bears and at San Francisco, and he also gets the Bears two weeks earlier than that. So Jared Goff, his last five opponents are all top 12 against quarterbacks. He's got the worst schedule on paper.
Heath
He's not. I don't think he's a starter.
Adam
Okay.
Heath
Yeah, he's not really. I mean, he's only kind of been a starter. Like, he's a very borderline QB one. I certainly wouldn't plan on starting him in the fantasy playoffs.
Dave
Meanwhile, their running backs have like league average strength of schedule according to my rankings, and they're better than that in their next four games and a little worse than that in weeks 15 through 17. But I would imagine that they'll just continue to pound away on defenses with their two backs.
Adam
Drake May also has a bad playoff schedule at Arizona. We see how well they're, how much they're improving at Buffalo and the Chargers. So Drake may schedule good until his buy in week 14 and then bad after that.
Dave
Yep, agree completely.
Adam
This is maybe the biggest takeaway you need to sell Najee Harris. Najee Harris has the worst schedule in the world. Every opponent is top 10 against running, but every opponent going forward, not just the playoffs. And his playoff schedule is at Philadelphia. They're not great against the run, but they don't give up a lot of points. Then at Baltimore, then home against Kansas City. He also gets Baltimore this week. Now Cleveland does not have Jeremiah Owusu Karamoa. They don't have a good run defense without him it seems. So he gets them twice. He could come back for the second one. But Najee Harris's schedule absolutely sucks going forward.
Dave
Dead last in my rankings for the entire season and the fantasy playoffs.
Adam
What do you think about Joe Mixon, guys? Kansas City and Baltimore are his last two playoff games.
Dave
He's, he's going to be awesome for the next few weeks. He's got a top five schedule for the next four weeks and then after that it's just downhill.
Adam
Yeah, he played Houston or he, yeah, he played. Sorry who they play on Sunday night.
Dave
Detroit.
Heath
Detroit.
Adam
He played a great run defense. He caught a touchdown or he run now. He caught a 40 yard pass or whatever. He ran in right and he ran right.
Dave
But he was averaging like 2 yards of carry.
Adam
Yeah. So it's interesting and honestly, I think.
Dave
A lot of that has to do more with his offensive line than it does the matchup. Because going into that game, since Hutchinson got hurt, Detroit's run defense wasn't very good. They were, they were starting to slack a little bit. But I think that offensive line combined with, I think Detroit tried to like really gear up to stop mixing and, and dare Houston to throw. Like we're at that point with Houston without Nico Collins where defenses are doing that to C.J. stroud. I, I think that once Nico's back and once they get their house in order up front, then maybe things will be a Little bit better for mixing, but yes. Tough schedule, tough opponents coming up.
Adam
Okay. I think Kareem Hunt has a tough playoff schedule, but we already talked about him. I'll skip ahead to some of the big headliners at wide receiver. Does anybody care about Jamar Chase? Jamar Chase could get the Jerry Snead, then the Browns, then Patrick Sir Tan. That's his playoff schedule. Tennessee at Tennessee, home against Cleveland, home against Denver. Anybody concerned about that? Which is more Chase?
Dave
I saw it before I traded for Chase. I still traded for Chase.
Jamie
Just Sir Tan. The. The. And you're not sending him that week. But the Snead situation is not. He hasn't played to that level this year.
Dave
Do we know that he's even coming back?
Adam
No, but, I mean, I figure he'll be back by week 15.
Dave
I would. I would hope so. Tennessee could use him.
Adam
The Colts wide receivers have bad matchups. I don't think it really matters for Josh Downs if Flacco is still the quarterback. All he has to do is, like, get open short and catch passes and, you know, Detroit wide receivers, Cleveland wide receivers, Houston wide receivers, Rams wide receivers, Patriots wide receivers. These are teams that have multiple bottom 10 matchups in the fantasy playoffs. Again, I don't really think it matters for them. Yeah, I don't really think it matters for them. So I would just say. I would just say I would. I don't know if you. I think you could do this, but I think I would probably trade Jamar Chase straight up for Justin Jefferson and not have to worry about maybe Snead, who, by the way, I'm pretty sure Legarius need shut him down last year when Snead was with Kansas City. And then Sir Tan is obviously fantastic. So coming off a 50, he hasn't.
Jamie
Played to that level, though, when he's healthy.
Adam
I don't know. I think he's played pretty well. Snead?
Jamie
Yeah.
Adam
You've been talking all year about how great the Titans pass. How great.
Jamie
No, it was good at the start of the season when they were all healthy. But Diggs is not there and Snead has not played.
Adam
Right. But he was playing well beforehand.
Jamie
I don't think he's shutting down Jamar.
Adam
Chase in this defense, his offense, in.
Jamie
This defense that he currently plays in.
Heath
Well, I mean, we were just talking about the Eagles maybe having the best defense in the NFL, and Jamar Chase scored 20 fantasy points against them.
Adam
Like, what was his stat?
Dave
No one's even gonna think about, right?
Adam
9 for 54.
Dave
No one's thinking about sitting Jamar Chase.
Adam
I'm not saying sit him. I said trade him straight up for Justin Jefferson. If you're worried about his match, sure.
Dave
I, I sure you could try.
Adam
I don't know if you want to do that, but. All right, look at just bringing it up and then. Is Anybody worried about McLaren? Two games against the Eagles beginning this week. You got a buy in week 14 and you got Tennessee, which no one seems to care about.
Heath
Not really, no.
Adam
Oh, look at that. Someone just called me dumb for suggesting that Legarius need might. Might be a problem for Jamar Chase, even though he was last year. So it was not a different team, though. Yeah, he's the shutdown cornerback. I, I don't, I don't know. Like what this. He's not. He didn't have a good year. I think he's had a pretty good year when he's been healthy.
Dave
Different. Different team, different coordinator, different pass rush. Working in concert with what Snead's doing.
Adam
Can we just look at. Tell me what weeks he's played.
Dave
Luxurious need.
Adam
D.J. moore in week one had five catches for 36 yards. Garrett Wilson and week two had four catches for 57 yards. Jaden Wheat. I won't count Jaden Reedy and Malik Willis. Then the next week, you had the Dolphins receivers who were terrible. Tyree Kill had four. He shadowed Tyree Kill four catches for.
Dave
23 yards, but two didn't play.
Adam
I do remember Tyree Kill getting open a few times and just not being able to be hit. And I think that was the last time we saw the Jerry Snead face a good look.
Jamie
Sneed is need is a good player. He's not going to make you fear Jamar Chase playing on the Titans.
Adam
I agree with that. I was just making a case that maybe.
Jamie
No, you're not. You're not wrong in the case that you're making. And to call you dumb for saying. Suggesting trading Jamar Chase for Justin Jefferson is ridiculous. I mean, they're the two best of their position, you know. So if you're concerned about anything, why would you not try and take one that you feel in particular is better than the other?
Adam
And I'm not. No. And I'm not going to trade Chase because he might play Snead. I'm going to trade Chase because he's got Patrick sir tan in week 17. And I don't think you're going to get a 25 point game from Jamar Chase to win you your championship. I think you'd be happy with like an 18 point game, you know, but there's possibility like certain is amazing. And if I'm trading Chase, it's coming off the best game of his season. And it's for just it maybe just I'm not even. I have Chase in two leagues. I'm not even making offers. I'm just hypothetically proposing something. So forget it. All right, that's it for today's show. Thanks for indulging. When we've got more trade talk on FFT Express that Dave and I are about to sit down and chat about, we'll talk to you then.
