More head coaching news to cover right now on Fantasy Football Today Express. Adam and Jamie Here we talk about four of the more recent news items with Joe Brady being promoted to head coach for Buffalo Todd Monkin going to Cleveland that's former Baltimore offensive coordinator going to Cleveland. Clint Kubiak, Seattle's offensive court still Seattle's offensive coordinator for another week and then will reportedly take the Raiders head coaching job. And Mike LaFleur, who's been the Rams offensive coordinator for three seasons, going to Arizona. All right, Jamie, rank them in order of excitement. LA, FL, AZ Kubiak to the Raiders Monk into the Browns Brady staying with.
Jamie
The bills Brady 1 Kubiak 2 Lafleur 3 Monkin 4 Brady 1.
Adam
You like it?
Jamie
I I mean it wasn't it wouldn't been my first choice. I would have preferred to see Dable go there just because of the history with Josh Allen and what might, what that might have looked at what looked like. But what I'm hoping for is that Joe Brady is not handcuffed by Sean McDermott to whatever that extent was. Defensive minded head coach wanted to be a little bit more run centric. Maybe they allow Josh Allen to throw the ball a little bit more, but obviously they got to add some receivers there. So that's the next version of what we have to see come out of Buffalo or as, as part of this off season right now. But I mean, look, when you talk about these scenarios here, can anybody be inspired by Cleveland and what they're doing? So to me the answer would be no. It's an easy last one. And then I think in the other two cases for Kubiak going to the Raiders like you're, you're getting a blank slate. You know, you're getting brand new quarterback, hopefully upgrades on the offensive line. You still have one of the more exciting running back prospects that I think we still have the chance to see the best of and one of the best tight ends in the NFL. Even though Brock Bauer is coming off what we would consider a down season, fantasy wise, he's still really good. So there's a lot to like about that, obviously. But is Kubia. You know, Kubiak wasn't great in New Orleans, you know, and then he goes to Seattle and he's great.
Adam
Well, yeah, no, yeah, that hot start. Remember, like first four games or so they were on fire.
Jamie
Yeah, I guess. But you know, I, I think that's an interesting one. And then anytime you're getting somebody from the Sean McVeigh tree, you want to see if there's gonna, if it's gonna work there for Michael Flor. He's had some up and down, you know, stops, you know, and, and look, his brother's obviously had a lot of success so, you know, you hope to see him do, do well also. But there's just so many question marks still with Arizona mostly who's going to be the quarterback. Right.
Adam
And I like the hire of Leflore. I mean, I don't really have a super strong opinion on it, but the floor does have experience calling plays with the jets and three years, the last three years have been with the Raider, with the Rams rather as their offensive coordinator. But look at previous Rams offensive coordinators who have gotten jobs. Liam Cohen, Kevin o' Connell, and one more success story.
Jamie
Remember head coaches, it was it was the floor.
Adam
It was Michael Four. Yeah. So Manafort is Matt Lafor with the Packers. So that's, that's a good track record of these guys who have apprenticed under Sean McVeigh. And there are other offensive hires. You know, you've got Mike McCarthy for Pittsburgh, you've got Kevin Stefanski for Atlanta. Let's take a little break and kind of talk about all of it because now we've, we've got most of the puzzle pieces in place. Still waiting for the Giants to hire an offensive coordinator, but I think with the 10 coaching openings we, we know basically everything we need to know. We'll, we'll kind of review everything. All right, we'll be right back. On Fantasy Football Today, NFL fans spend.

An average of 690 minutes a week thinking about football. That's over 11 hours. You're checking matchups, tweaking your fantasy roster, reliving big plays, arguing calls. Football lives rent free in your head all week long. And when the game's on, every decision matters. A winning play or the right timeout, just 60 seconds can flip the entire outcome. But here's the thing. Off the field, we forget the plan. Okay, so Jamie, if you, if you think about Buffalo, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Arizona, we just talked about them. Pittsburgh with Mike McCarthy. Miami, Jeff Halfley, defensive coordinator for the Packers. He's their new head coach. Offensive coordinator is going to be Bobby Slowik. Giants of Jim Harbaugh, no offensive coordinator yet. Tennessee is Robert Sala. They bring in Brian Dable as their offensive coordinator. Baltimore is Jesse Minter. They bring in Declan Doyle from Chicago as their offensive coordinator. And Atlanta, Kevin Stefanski. What's the most exciting coaching or offensive coordinator hire for you this cycle?
Jamie
I mean, obviously it's Harbaugh. You know, when you look at the pieces that he's inheriting. You know, clearly the offense coordinator is going to matter, but I think unless it was going to be a disaster of a coaching hire, we were going to like the Giants for fantasy, you know, because dart what he showed, Scatter boo what he showed. And as the rookies see in the rookie seasons, Malik Neighbors what he still has the potential to do and be. And hopefully he's going to be healthy. Do they retain Wando Robinson? They drafted their wide receiver. You know, did they go out and add another tight end? Is it still Theo Johnson? You know, there's a lot to, you know, still moving parts here, but I mean, just the, the three main pieces and, and some still good talent on the offensive line and some great talent defensively that I think can be, you know, enhanced. The Giants job was very attractive and they got the guy that everybody wanted. Once you get past that, though, like, I, I think Stefanski in Atlanta is going to be good. You know, I, I know he's getting knocked for what happened the last several years in Cleveland, but really starting with the desean Watson debacle, like everything just kind of fall has fallen apart there. Yeah. And so I think getting a fresh start, hopefully they have their quarterback situation settled. You know, whether it's Pennix or Cousins or a combination of the two or, you know, maybe go out and even add somebody else if Cousins leaves. You know, so Bijan Robinson, Drake, London, you know, those are two of the best fantasy options that we have too. I think the best players, their respective positions and if they keep Kyle Pitts, that'd be even great, even better because of what Stefanski's history of tight ends is. I think McCarthy with Pittsburgh while getting knocked quite a bit. You know, it's funny, you look at his career resume, it's very similar to John Harbaugh.
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
It's very similar to Pete Carroll. It's very similar to a lot of great coaches and especially what he does offensively. Like, you look what he did in Dallas when Dak Prescott was healthy. They were a very good offense. You look what he did in Green Bay. He sort of, you know, I mean, obviously won a Super bowl, did great things there in Rogers. You know, they had a great run and they did. The, the problem is you brought this up when we discussed it. Like his, his system tends to get a little stale at times, you know, lacking some creativity. You know, I, I know, you know, how much I trust, trust Pete Prisco. You know, when, during the end of his time in Green Bay when he still had Rogers, it Was. And I don't know how much this was Rogers, but a lot of it was the wide receivers. Run around. Yeah. Turn around, wait for Rogers to make a play or back shoulder fit like that. That was his. There wasn't a lot of pre snap motion. A lot of those things. And then he goes to Dallas and things look a lot better when he starts calling plays. And again, how much of that is the talent? How much of that is him? You know, just working with Dak Prescott. So again, incomplete because you don't know who's going to be the quarterback there. But I think it'll be better than what we saw last season again, even if they run it back with Rogers for one more year, which could easily be the case. So excited. I agree with you. Leflore could be really good, but want to see what happens there in Arizona because a lot of good pieces. Kubiak going to the Raiders could be a lot of fun, you know, with Mendoza expected to be the number one overall pick there. So there's definitely reason for optimism and it is kind of surprising, you know, with some of the young defense coordinators or the case of guys that, you know, where I think people are expecting to get jobs. Salah and Halfley are the only two. Unless I'm missing Minter, I'll mentor. Yes. Excuse me. So those three guys, but you know, no Chris Shula, no Vance Joseph and then Raheem Morris, who, you know, maybe got some interest after he was fired, you know, which I think was kind of an unjust firing. But you know, those three guys will probably be three of the higher, hotter names going into the 2027 cycle.
Adam
Yeah, I'm actually pretty excited for the Titans. I think, you know, Robert Salah is a proven commodity as a defensive coordinator, so they should be able to at some point have a good defense there. They have to rebuild it, obviously. And Brian Dable, I still think he's a, he's a creative play caller.
Jamie
Yeah.
Adam
And they've got the, you know, they got the fourth pick in the draft, they've got their quarterback and they've got the most cap space in the NFL. The Raiders, I believe, have the second most cap space. So these are two teams that could have a bright future. But you know, man, if they can go out and make a splash and get George Pickens or something like that, that'd be awesome. They could obviously draft a wide receiver with the fourth overall pick. And I think the Titans have invested enough in their offensive line through the NFL, drafted through free agency that they that's not going to be a weakness for them. So, you know, pieces are in place.
Jamie
I think maybe Breeze hall, follow Salah to the Titans.
Adam
Yeah, it could be. Maybe Juwan Jennings goes over there. Something like that.
Jamie
He did play college at the University of Tennessee.
Adam
Hey, there you go.
Jamie
Look at us.
Adam
We're just connecting all the dots but reasons for optimism. Hope it works out. And I honestly, I'm a little bit worried. You talked about Harbaugh being the best hire. I am a little bit worried offensively because they don't have their coordinator and I hope it's Cliff Kingsbury. There's not a lot of guys who have play call experience that are available on the market. I'm surprised Kingsbury hasn't, hasn't gotten anything yet. But that could be the next step for the Giants.
Jamie
So maybe now that all the head coaches are in place.
Adam
Yeah, yeah, right. That's a good point. All right, thank you very much, Jamie. We'll talk to you later in the week on FFT Express.
Jamie
See ya. Paramount podcasts.
