Heath
Heavy dose of evidence and ready to.
Adam
Go toe to toe with a cavalcade of guest stars.
Dave
Are you saying that this is now a murder investigation?
Adam
It's starting to look that way. Don't miss a moment of the critically acclaimed hit elsbeth. All episodes now streaming on Paramount and return CBS fall. That sounds like fun.
Heath
Obviously, murder's not fun. I'm Dexter Morgan. I've been through hell, but now I'm back for my curtain call. And what better place to hide than New York City? There may be a new area code, but my code never changes. In a city full of monsters, my dark urges will feel right at home. Dexter Resurrection. Starring Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage. New series now streaming on the Paramount premium plan. This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports.
Adam
What a play. Can you believe this?
Heath
No, I can't. It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Adam
Off to the races and he stays on his feet. This is gonna go the distance.
Heath
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
Adam
Welcome, everybody. It is Wednesday, September 3rd, and for the first time in about nine months, we're previewing games. I guess we did that for the super bowl here. So not quite nine months, but we're talking starts and sits for week one for the Thursday and Friday games. We welcome you to fantasy football Today, presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas. Wednesday shows going forward are going to be kind of a trade show. Buy or sell. You know, buy low, sell high, and any other topics that come to mind. It's a. It's a smorgasbord. We like to use that term, I guess, on Wednesdays. Tuesday, waiver wire Thursday starter sid AFC home games Friday starter said NFC home games Saturday mailbag Sunday recap. We also have a live YouTube show to get you ready for Sunday, 11:30am to kick off Eastern time. That would be on YouTube.com fantasy football today. All right, the gang's all here. Who's got drafts today or tomorrow? Who's got some drafts left? Dave?
Jamie
I do three leftover league drafts. I sent out all the emails last night.
Adam
Done. You're done? Yeah, done. I'm done, too, and I'm ready to be done. I feel good about it. Feels complete. Ready for. Ready to do some starts and sits. We got some fill in the blank today as well. News and Notes let's just start with some news and notes, some depth chart stuff. Travis Hunter was listed as a starting wide receiver and a backup cornerback in the initial depth chart, whereas Travis etn, Tank Bigsby, they were listed as co starters. They're playing Carolina this week. J.K. dobbins listed as a starter. Naji Harris practiced in full, so it looks like he's gonna play Chicory Crosky. Merritt listed fourth on the depth chart. Jamie, did I say anything that you think is particularly fantasy relevant right now?
Jamie
Probably the last thing. You know, just to see how this Washington backfield is going to shake out. I wouldn't read too much into where they're, where they're starting on the depth chart. You know, we'll see how they're used in games, but I don't think you should be playing Jacori Crosby merit this week. I think you wanted to see how it all sort of shakes up the.
Heath
The only way I would really overreact to this is it are the commanders going to have four active running backs on game day? Because I think Jeremy McNichols is going to play special teams and Austin Eckler is going to be the starter. So both Chris Rodriguez and JCM going to be active on Sunday.
Dave
It's entirely possible if McNichols especially is going to play teams and pitch in a little bit on the running game. It's not crazy for a team to use four running backs on game day.
Jamie
The Jaguars are expected to use all four of their running backs on game.
Dave
Day, which, which is a change from where Liam Cohen was thinking two weeks ago.
Jamie
The Texans are expected to use four running backs on game day unless Woody Marks is inactive as well.
Adam
Yeah, go ahead. Sorry, Heathen.
Heath
No, I was trying to think of who the fourth is with the Texans.
Jamie
Oh, it would be Chubb, Pierce, Marks and Ogumbuale.
Heath
Oh, Darre.
Jamie
Dari's probably gonna be the third down back.
Adam
I mean.
Jamie
Yeah, yeah, it's. This was kind of what I said yesterday. Like there's going to be these veteran guys that just do something of whatever that's going to either freak people out and make them pick them up off waivers. I mean, Ogumawale in the three games that Joe Mixon missed last year was a pretty decent PPR option in two of them because of what he did in the passing game. So there's going to be like these. Like it wouldn't, it wouldn't shock me if Kenneth Gainwell has the best day of The Steelers running back, you know, just because he's going to play a lot. So there's going to be situations like this where some of these veteran guys just are problematic and in some cases force people to spend fab that they shouldn't.
Adam
Are you guys trying to take a wait and see approach with Travis Hunter.
Jamie
As a starter?
Adam
Yeah, as a starter this week, Yeah.
Jamie
I think in three receiver leagues you probably throw them in a lineup or two. Especially if you play flex. If you're in a two receiver league, I would absolutely sit him on the bench.
Adam
Yeah, that's going to be one of the more, you know, analyzed things of week one. It's going to be a big one. Speaking of the Steelers running backs, Jalen Warren. So this is what Mike Tomlin said about Jalen Warren. Certainly he'll be our feature running back. We're not opposed obviously to utilizing Kenny G and Caleb and I'm sure you'll see them at what time and to what degree will be determined how the game unfolds. Dave, your thoughts on that comment from Mike Tomlin about Jalen Warren at the jets this week?
Dave
He saw what we saw in the preseason and he's seen a lot more because Caleb Johnson has been practicing this whole time. I'm sure he's been himself in practice as well. And Warren is just their most consistent lead back and until that changes, he should be expected to be the feature back for him. Hate the matchup against the Jets. Don't really want to start any of these guys against the jets, but it makes it so much easier now for fantasy managers to not even think about Caleb Johnson. If you drafted him, just keep him on the bench until he starts to play a lot more.
Heath
I, I tweeted out this morning some rushing lines for RB2s in terms of where their rushing yardage line is and a couple of these guys we'll talk about during the game previews. But Jalen Warren has a higher rushing line than DeAndre Swift. Alvin, he's at 54 and a half yards.
Jamie
Is his over under.
Dave
My goodness.
Heath
Higher than DeAndre Swift, Alvin Kamara, Aaron Jones, Omarion Hampton, Breeze hall and Isaiah Pacheco. And that's just rushing yards.
Jamie
I think it's actually going to be decent this year, this week.
Dave
I'm sorry, how come?
Jamie
Because I think they'll be playing with the lead. I think he's their lead guy and you know, just based on the contract situation, the game game script. So if they're in a competitive game early, he's going to get his opportunities to catch the ball. It's not just going to be Ken's game on every passing down situation. So I think that line is, is. I don't know. He should be ahead of all those guys, but it's not surprising he's in the mix. I don't think the desert on defense is anything to be like running away from.
Adam
Okay.
Jamie
And Quinn Williams is healthy or hurt?
Adam
I think he's healthy. I didn't know that he was hurt. Someone take a look. So he was banged up.
Dave
I'll look at it.
Adam
Cameron Hayward, by the way, for the, for the Steelers in that game is expected to play. He's been kind of a holdout. Hold in situation. Carolina listed Hunter Renfro as a starter. Buffalo site. Oh, the Magic 8 Ball is back, baby. Buffalo signed Gabe Davis. You know, we haven't talked about this at all. I kept putting it in the notes and I never got to it because we kept running long. The new kickoff rule. And I'm not going to second guess, I'm going to first guess and I'm going to say I hate the new kickoff rule. The 35 yard line for a touchback is ridiculous. Why don't we just start them at infield goal range when we just start them at the opponent's 35 yard line. I mean, this is just. It's just too drastic. It's too much.
Dave
Why do you think they changed it?
Adam
They want more returns.
Dave
Yeah.
Adam
Couldn't care less about returns. I thought the 30 was a nice little compromise. The 35 just seems. Just seems too much. I. I wouldn't be surprised. They change it back next year.
Dave
Well, then they.
Jamie
Williams is fine. He had a calf injury earlier.
Dave
Yeah, I was about to say it looks like.
Heath
Yeah, I disagree. Adam, bad, bad take by you.
Dave
Finally. Adam with a bad take.
Jamie
Did you hear Heath, his. His baby rant yesterday on CBS Sports Network about tight end premium leagues?
Heath
Oh, he hates them, I assume.
Jamie
Hate them.
Heath
Yeah, it makes. It makes Brock bowers and Trey McBride too good.
Adam
It's just.
Heath
It's just we don't want anybody to stand out anywhere. If everybody could just score between 12 and 13 PPR fantasy points.
Adam
Just changing the rules. What if we get. What if we gave catchers five points for a home run and three points for a double? We would never do it.
Jamie
The one position you've flushed out for baseball.
Adam
Well, yeah, that's. I never liked two catcher leagues. I didn't understand it. Why would we be doing two catcher leagues? Doesn't make any sense.
Heath
Do you like super flex leagues.
Adam
I do like super flex leagues.
Heath
Oh, that's consistent.
Adam
Yeah, that's fine. All right, guys, which game this week do you think will be the most revealing for fantasy? Is there Vikings?
Jamie
Bears for me.
Adam
Okay, sorry. Vikings.
Dave
Yeah, that's a great one. Packers, Lions?
Adam
Man, that's a good question, right?
Dave
It's a great question.
Heath
You know, I think I'll go with what many people are calling the most interesting game of the week.
Dave
Chiefs, Chargers.
Adam
Okay, let's see. What am I going to go with? I do think Carolina, Jacksonville. When you just think about everything that's in play for Jacksonville, Travis Hunter and the running back situation. Can Trevor Lawrence take this, the next step? Can Bryce Young take the next step? I do think that's, that's a very fun fantasy game. So Carolina Jackson will be my answer. Heath, what's the FFT Dynasty schedule looking like in season?
Heath
Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday. We will be every Tuesday at 11:30 except next week we're going to have a special episode that we're not going to record until 4pm where I'll have both Gibbs and Dan on it's an FFT Dynasty beyond the box score mashup.
Adam
Oh.
Heath
Where we talk about the things beyond the box score that dynasty managers need to know. Also coming up in the next month, we've got Adam Pfeiffer from ftn, Matt Donnelly from Dynasty Vipers and Matt Waldman. The first weekend October to talk about what's changed with the rookies.
Adam
Wow. And this is like the when the Jetsons Met the Flintstones. You guys remember that? Ever see that episode?
Dave
Yes.
Adam
Yeah. Or the.
Jamie
So who. Who hosts the show, you or Dan?
Heath
Not Dan.
Jamie
Come on, we got.
Adam
We have places to be.
Jamie
I think, I think he. If you have three hours to spend, you're going to be in great shape.
Heath
You know, that's the. I've given away some editorial control to FFG Dynasty that week, but that is one control I'm not giving away. We will have some very hard outs and I may, I may do the A's or in somebody's mic.
Adam
There you go. So I just want to. I'm not going to talk about all my drafts yesterday because no one cares. But I just want to say we did the auction yesterday and nobody bid. Nobody dominated Rasheed Rice. Rasheed Rice is a free agent in my 12 team league. It is the weirdest thing. There were two teams that had $1 bids at the end of the draft and they didn't even notice Rasheed Rice was available. And they're nominating like, Woody Marks and whatever. And I'm just sitting there. I'm like, why isn't anybody taking she Rice? But.
Jamie
So you were out of money?
Adam
I was out of money, yeah.
Dave
Why. Why weren't you the guy who nominated Rasheed Rice?
Adam
I was out of money. I got better. Honestly, I got, like, better players with my last several picks.
Dave
Oh, I can't wait to hear this list of better players.
Jamie
This is like Dan, in the last, like, four or five mocks where we've done where like, round seven, eight, nine, ten, he's like, oh, my God, I can't believe he took my guy when he had 17 opportunities.
Dave
Happened yesterday in round 11.
Adam
I also love when people who are four picks away, like, someone gets taken and they're like, oh, you took my guy. It's like, dude, it's like, you can't. You're too far away to make that claim. You had to be next. All right, let's fill in the blank. Heath had an interesting FFT draft yesterday. So this fill in the blank is from Heath drafting Brock Bowers at 22 overall and Trey McBride at 27 overall in the same draft. Was blank.
Dave
Fun.
Adam
Silly.
Jamie
Oh, I thought he was supposed to answer. Crazy.
Adam
What'd you think? He.
Heath
I. You know, it made me remember. There's been so many times that you've insulted me on this show. Like, just. I know we tease you a lot, but when you insult me, it's like you're an idiot or that's the stupidest thing every. Anyone's ever done. And I think the earliest time you ever did that was when I drafted Kelsey and Kittle in the same league. Not quite as high, I don't believe. And you told me that was the stupidest thing you'd ever said. And I'm pretty sure I won that league. But no, I. You know, I was kind of planning on taking McBride at 22. Bowers fell there, and for me, that's a great value. When you look at my week one projections, even amongst the wide receivers and running backs, they were worth those picks in terms of what I project them to score. So hopefully I win tight end and flex every week and can find. I mean, Travis Hunter might be the key to that team.
Adam
Just so everyone knows who he passed on when he took McBride, McConkey, any of the quarterbacks, JSN, James, Cook, Amari and Hampton. So it's not like Bucky or not any other Kyron. Was that.
Jamie
Not any of the quarterbacks. Joe Burrow was.
Adam
Oh, Joe Burrow as QB1 first QB off the board. Yeah, took him. Thomas was picking at the turns and just say just got his guys. But yeah, he. So he. None of the top 12 running backs were available. None of the top eight wide receivers. None of the top 10 wide receivers. So he took Trey McBride as his flex. All right.
Dave
Would you recommend that to others, Heath, like people who are drafting today.
Heath
Can I let you know in about two months?
Dave
Oh, I mean, I. I get that.
Adam
We're.
Dave
We're doing this.
Jamie
He made a trade off in the middle of the draft.
Dave
It's true, he did.
Heath
But I told Dan if you'd throw in Jordan Addison, I'd take Jaden Daniels.
Dave
You're not sitting here with regret 24 hours later.
Heath
No. I think it's going to be fun to see how it works out. I think like if. Listen, we've talked about it a lot. There's a chance for both Bowers and McBride. Even McBride may just be touchdown regression to perform like first round picks this year. If that happens, then I'm going to love it. If one of them is only 14 fantasy points per game, I'm going to feel like an idiot.
Adam
I was looking for the clip. I couldn't find it. But we are going to take a break. I'll keep looking. We'll take a break. We got a lot more. Fill in the blank and starts and sits for two games when we come back.
Ad Voice
Face it, after a night with drinks, I don't bounce back the next day.
Adam
Like I used to.
Ad Voice
I have to make a choice. I can either have a great night or a great next day. That is until I found pre alcohol zebiotics. Pre alcohol Probiotic Drinks is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic. It was invented by PhD scientists to tackle rough mornings after drinking. Here's how it works. When you drink, alcohol gets converted into toxic byproduct in the gut. It's a buildup of this byproduct, not dehydration. That's the blame for those rough days after drinking. Pre alcohol produces an enzyme to break this byproduct down. Just remember to make pre alcohol your first drink of the night. Drink responsibly and you'll feel your best tomorrow. I just had my home league fantasy football draft. All my closest friends, we got together and I knew I had to give pre alcohol try. And when I did, I couldn't be happier. I drank it before the draft and. And I woke up the next day feeling good. Not just about my fantasy football roster, but about myself. Balls right around the corner. So that means it's time to raise a glass to your favorite team. Whether you're tailgating, enjoying a college game day, or watching Sunday's action on that fancy new TV. Don't forget ZBiotics pre alcohol probiotic Drink. Drink a pre alcohol before drinking and enjoy great days after celebrating all season long. Heath
Is this a hit it situations whatever kind of adventure we want it to be. No streaming on Paramount plus It's an all new season of adventures. We have to stop this invasion.
Adam
Get into this shit. This crew is a team. We are going to find our way.
Heath
Out of this together.
Adam
Chaos. It's one in a thousand.
Jamie
We get it done right or don't.
Dave
Blow ourselves up along the way.
Heath
I like those odds. We'll just turn it off before we blow up Star Trek Strange New worlds New season now streaming on Paramount +.
Adam
Fill in the blank from Jim Hamer I'm worried my biggest draft mistake was blank. He's my worry my biggest draft mistake was blank. I'll say not drafting enough Cowboys.
Jamie
Interesting. I had one last night that I regretted. 10 team league half PPR. It was coming back to the end of round three and I was the second pick. So picking behind me was one of my best friends who's a Patriots fan. I'm like, you know what? I'm just going to mess with them. Take TREVON Henderson and lad McConkey was on the board and immediately I regretted it.
Heath
I I was going to say that I I didn't get any Travion Henderson and Redraft. Maybe maybe one. He was my most drafted rookie in rookie drafts so I've got him on like 40 of my dynasty teams. But I I was just always a little bit behind trivial on Trayvon.
Dave
I don't think I have any Ashton Genti. Maybe one team with Amar and Hampton. Probably no teams with Travion Henderson and almost no teams with RJ Harvey. So I do have a little bit of FOMO of not having any of the rookie running backs. I got a lot of rookie running backs in the back half of the draft, but not early on.
Adam
I have zero jameer Gibbs. That makes me sick. I almost took him. I wanted to take him 101 yesterday just because I didn't have any. But I was sharing a team, so couldn't. All right, Vinnie the vet Travion Henderson becomes RB1 for the Patriots in week blank one.
Dave
Yeah.
Jamie
One.
Heath
I mean, if we're going by the depth chart, I'll say two fantasy points. I'll say one.
Adam
Edward says the Lions offensive pieces are being blank rated heading into the season. Over.
Dave
Underrated especially.
Heath
I don't think there's one word that describes all of them, but as a rule I would say overrated. And I think. I don't know if I brought this up on the podcast, but I think we saw the first evidence in the Lions week one line. Well, which was their implied team totals 22 and a half points. They had two games last year below 23 points and they averaged 33 points a game last year.
Adam
They're playing the packers. So.
Dave
In Green Bay.
Jamie
Yeah. Golf has not been good in Green Bay.
Dave
Right.
Adam
What happened? Oh, all right. Here we go. From T point per first down. Leagues are blank.
Dave
The future, stupid.
Jamie
Why would you change scoring? It's so dumb.
Adam
They are. I don't really like them.
Heath
Of course you don't. They're.
Dave
I think it's better than ppr.
Heath
A a better way to give fantasy points. If you're trying to reward things that matter in football.
Adam
You don't think catches matter?
Heath
I think first downs matter more than catches.
Adam
I mean, I suppose, but what's more valuable? A guy who, you know, catches a five yard pass or a guy who runs for one yard on third and one?
Heath
If you get the first down on third and one, it's more valuable to have three more downs, especially if the guy that catches the five yard passes on third and six.
Adam
Well, all right. Bill Van Sickle says blank will be the most picked up player after week one and Blank will be the most dropped.
Jamie
Most picked up player.
Dave
I'm. I got a idea. On the one who might be the most dropped, I'm worried that Crosby Merit will be the one that's most.
Heath
I got a message this morning from somebody that dropped him last night.
Adam
Well, on that. In that vein, I think Chris Rodriguez has a chance to be one of the most.
Dave
The most up player could be.
Heath
He'd have to actually do something though. If he has 10 carries for 40 yards. I.
Adam
He's 19 rostered. If he's the goal line back for the commanders, which by the way, the indications are he will be the goal I don't know that it'll actually happen, but that's kind of what Dan Quinn was saying. Yeah, he's the short yardage back. Chris Rodriguez might be the most added player.
Heath
Trevor's probably a little too highly rostered. He might go up. He might go up to.
Dave
Sure.
Heath
95.
Dave
Yeah. Dylan Sampson's at 58. That's too high.
Jamie
Hunter Renfro, most added player.
Heath
No, I meant Trevor might be the most added, not the most dropped.
Adam
Trevor Lawrence, Is there a different track?
Dave
Well, what's his rostership again?
Heath
It's 69.
Jamie
Yeah, so.
Heath
I mean, it might go up 30 points. I don't know if anybody else is going to go up a lot more than that.
Dave
Where's.
Jamie
Well, I mean, will be an injury if. If. So.
Adam
All right, let's.
Heath
Let's move on.
Adam
Cedric Tillman. Okay, last one is from Rob. At week blank, I will be totally frustrated with fantasy football and say how much I hate it week. Never Us or Rob. Just for Rob.
Dave
Just for Rob.
Jamie
Oh, never.
Adam
Yeah. Never. You're gonna be good, Rob. You're in good hands. All right, football fans, bring that playoff energy to your pro football bets all season long. All right, Dallas is at Philadelphia. Here we go. Stat of the game. Dak Prescott.
Dave
Excuse me, sir.
Adam
Yes?
Dave
There's usually something we do in advance of previewing the Thursday night game. I don't know. This might be like your first year on the podcast. I'm not sure.
Adam
Dave Dallas is at Philadelphia on Thursday night.
Dave
Crap, I forgot the song.
Adam
All right, Stat of the game. Dak Prescott has averaged 31.6 fantasy points per game and six point per passing touchdown leagues in his last five against Philadelphia. One of them was a Week 18 game where the Eagles bench their starters. But he has been very good in this matchup. This. He didn't face them last year though. So this could be the best Eagles defense he has faced.
Heath
Right.
Adam
At least in this recent stretch. So, starter sit Dak Prescott. Guys.
Jamie
I'd rather start Trevor Lawrence. I'd rather start Drake May. I'd rather start Kyler Murray. I'd rather start. That's about the only I think ones.
Heath
Are drafted after I, I agree with all those. He's not in my top 12. I love Dak Prescott this year. I don't love him this week. I would guess their implied total of I think it was 20 last time I looked will be one of their lowest this season. I think it's a bad start for the Cowboys.
Adam
You go in since we'll talk about this game in a bit. Herbert Mahomes. Dak. Who do you like?
Jamie
Mahomes. Dak. Herbert.
Heath
Yep.
Dave
Big gap between Dak and Herbert.
Heath
Big. Let's see, I have Dak and Herbert back to back. Big gap between my homes. The other two for me.
Adam
Okay, so I'm guessing you guys definitely do not want to start Javante Williams.
Heath
No, no, no. But I'd start him over Caleb Johnson.
Jamie
Yes.
Adam
Okay, so just to throw this out there, I mean, Dave, I'll throw it to you because you've done a lot of the defense analysis and you've published it, but the Eagles had an amazing defense last year. They were second in scoring. They were tough against the run. They were so tough against the pass. They did not give up big plays. But they have lost some significant pieces, including Milton Williams at defensive tackle was on the Patriots. CJ Gardner Johnson at safety, he's on the Texans. Darius Slay with the Steelers now. So they're, they're moving some pieces around in their secondary. They also have, I think when Nicole Dean is out for a while at linebacker. So, you know, are we missing, are we kind of overlooking some vulnerabilities, you think, with the Eagles defense?
Dave
Yeah, they're not the same defense. You forgot maybe two of the most important losses. They had Josh Sweat, who's now, I believe in Arizona, and Bryce Huff, who is another pass rusher that they have now. If you're, if you're a believer in the Eagles, you think that they'll just reload with Nolan Smith and, and jlix Hunt. And Hunt was good in the Super Bowl. Moro Jomo is another guy on that D line. I think he's replacing Milton Williams. But they're, they're getting the opportunity. It doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to be great if, if you buy into starting a matchup because of the players on the field. I think this makes you feel better about Dak Prescott because the pass rush won't be quite as Suffocating and you know, kind of what the deal is with big fan Joe defenses anyway. They play a lot of zone. They only rush four guys. They don't blitz very much and I don't think they're going to be inclined to blitz very much because of the Cowboys offensive line in the state that it's in. They might begin the game thinking they can get to Dak with only four guys. I think the reason why you consider Dak is because a we we. There's no reason to believe in the run game for Dallas. We just got done talking about the offensive line, the interior, the up the middle of that defense for. For Philadelphia is still really good. I mean Carter and Davis there are D tackle. I mean that's really where a lot of their pass rush will get generated from anyway. But against the run that's really good. And so I think Dax gonna have to throw a lot and yeah, Quinion Mitchell at one corner is huge there. There are other cornerbacks. I'm definitely not sold on Kelly Ringo and I. I don't know if I'm ready to give all the credit in the world to Cooper De Jean if he's going to play nickel. So I, I just think that there's going to be opportunities on top of opportunities for Dak to throw a lot and fall into good production. Can you get to 25 fantasy points? That worries me but getting 20 or more, I think it can happen.
Adam
Okay, would you guys start Javante Williams or like a Jordan, Mason, Zach, Charbonnet, Braylon, Allen guy?
Jamie
I would start Devonte over those guys for this week.
Heath
I've got it. Charbonnet, Mason, Williams, Allen.
Adam
Okay, but. And Jerome Ford ahead of Javante by a mile.
Heath
Yeah, I'd start both Dylan Sampson and Jerome Ford over to.
Dave
I think if there's any silver line at Javante, it's going to be in full PPR because he can still catch the ball out of the backfield.
Adam
The paid The Eagles played 21 games last year, including the playoffs, obviously. And only four times did multiple wide receivers score 14 or more PPR fantasy points in the same game. 14 or more. They're usually about 25 to 30 wide receivers who average 14 PPR fantasy points per game. So it's a solid game. It only happened four times. One of those was week 18 when they were sitting there starters against the Giants. So when they were playing their guys happened only three times in 20 games. So no one's sitting CD Lamb but starters sit George Pickens.
Jamie
How many of those games did they play two receivers at this caliber?
Adam
That's a good question.
Jamie
Two against Washington? No. One against the Giants?
Adam
No, the Rams did it once, so that was one. I think Cooper cup had a very late touchdown to save his bacon. Played the packers, they played the Saints, they played the Bucks. And Chris Godwin fell just short of that. He had 12. A 12.9 PPR fantasy points. Evan had his. Evans had a big game. T. Higgins might have missed that game actually. So. Yeah, probably not. Not much. Rarely, to answer your question. So starters. Starters at Pickens. I'm sorry, Starters at Pickens.
Jamie
He's number two receiver.
Heath
Number three for me.
Adam
DeAndre Swift or Pickens?
Dave
Pickens.
Jamie
I'll take Pickens and PBR Swift, of course.
Adam
Facing Minnesota.
Heath
I think Pickens versus Devonte Smith's pretty interesting.
Dave
Adam, don't let me leave the podcast today without adding something to the Heath bets.
Adam
Okay. Devonte. Yeah. So Devonte Smith in this matchup or George Pickens?
Heath
I think they're the same guy, but I'd rather pickings slight lean to Pickens.
Adam
Okay, but you guys wouldn't go to like the Jerome Ford route over Pickens or Smith, would you? No, no. Is there any trending player that is ahead of these guys? I mean, I think for most. The most part, people are going to start their starters, start the guys they drafted as starters. But you know, any Crosby merits of the world that are like Jalen Warren. Jalen Warren or. Or George Pickens. Devonte Smith.
Jamie
Pickens and Smith over Warren.
Dave
Yep.
Heath
It would be Warren for me.
Adam
All right.
Dave
If it's non ppr. No, I can't even do it in non ppr. It's the receivers over worn.
Adam
Okay. All right, that's pretty much. I mean, look, we don't have to get too far in depth. It's week one. So Jake Ferguson, Dallas Goddard. Do you like either of these guys?
Dave
I like Ferguson.
Jamie
I like Goddard. Slightly ahead of Ferguson.
Heath
Ferguson over Goddard. Both in the 13 to 16 range. I think if you were scared of the like, I. I think a lot of people probably drafted Ferguson with Warren or Loveland and I'd rather start Ferguson week one over Warren too.
Adam
Yeah, I would.
Dave
Yep.
Adam
Okay. Got some questions from the chat. Picking Smith. We did that. Tillman. Cedric Tillman or Javante Williams?
Heath
Javante.
Jamie
Javante Saver.
Dave
He's safer.
Adam
Dak or Drake. May if you have CD Lamb Stack.
Jamie
Maze part of the week. So I'd go May over deck.
Adam
Ooh, Kyler or Dakota Tyler. Pick one in ppr. Pickens, Pierce all or Jameson Williams.
Heath
Pearsall, Pickens.
Dave
Pretty sure I have Pickens. The highest of the three.
Adam
Pickens or Darnell Mooney? You definitely got to go Pickens there. We don't even know Darnell Moody's status right now. All right, thank you. And then the Eagles DST Any hesitation to start them?
Jamie
None.
Heath
None.
Adam
All right, so let's. Let's go to our next game. Do we have a Friday night? We don't really have that Friday.
Dave
You might.
Adam
Friday night, Kansas City is at the Chargers, but this game is in Brazil. And how, first of all, how are you feeling about. Do you like the Friday night game? He. You're, you know, being a Chiefs fan, do you like spending a Friday night watching the Chiefs?
Heath
I, as a rule, prefer the Thursday, Sunday, Monday schedule. There's a. One of the high school football games of the year. It's happening about four miles from my house on Friday night. Not gonna go watch that. I'm gonna watch the Chiefs instead. But yeah, I mean, I. I like the high school football on Friday, college on Saturday, NFL on Thursday. Sunday, Monday.
Adam
I don't really, you know, with our job, we don't really get to sit down and watch the game with friends very often. Right. Especially can't do it on Sunday. So. Fry. The Friday game is the best opportunity for that. Not to say that I'm going to do that. I don't really have that lined up, but I might try.
Heath
Yeah. I generally structure my week when I think everybody knows from how many times they see our face and hear our voices throughout other days of the week to where that Friday night, Saturday morning stretch is kind of the time that you say, hey, I've got a family.
Adam
Yeah, exactly.
Heath
Remember them?
Adam
Dave, how we feeling about this game? Who do we like in Chiefs, Chargers?
Dave
I don't know who we really love in the game. Who do we like? I think all the guys that we drafted.
Adam
O Chiefs. E os Chargers football. Ne Brazil. Sim.
Dave
This was the easiest game of the week.
Heath
Call of the year.
Adam
This is actually not the game of the week. I only.
Dave
It's even better because you just wanted to take the opportunity to sing in Portuguese.
Adam
Yes, exactly. This is the only chance I was gonna get this game. Actually, I mentioned this last Yesterday. When these two teams played last year, neither quarterback scored 17 fantasy points in either game. Neither team scored 20 points. This was fantasy poison. The over unders 45 and a half. So hopefully a little bit more than, you know, 36, 37 points like we got last year. But, Dave, like, who do you like in this Game.
Dave
The only must start is. Well, I mean, Mahomes is a must start. Everybody who drafted him is going to use him. But lad McConkey is a must start. And you're still gonna go with Xavier Worthy. Travis Kelsey, Kelsey's okay. Even. Especially because Rashid Rice isn't in. I, I like Hampton as a low end number two running back. I think he's like 20th for me. Just expecting Naji to get eased in a little bit just because he didn't have a regular training camp. And Hampton has and he should be in position to get a lot of work and he could certainly score. Pacheco's in the flex range, especially in half and non ppr. And then everybody that's kind of on that periphery is going to be a sit. And I don't. What do you do if you drafted the Chiefs dst? Do you cut them immediately and find another dst? Maybe, but you could start them if you're. If you don't feel like doing that.
Heath
I, I'm a. And I've been a little low on Hampton throughout the whole process, I think. So it's probably not surprising. I'm a little low on Hampton in week one. I'm not going to do this for every game, but I do think the, the lines are pretty interesting on this one. Isaiah and Pacheco. Isaiah Pacheco and Omarion Hampton have the same over under on rush attempts.
Adam
Eleven.
Heath
Eleven and a half.
Adam
Okay.
Heath
Yeah. Pacheco is at 47 and a half rushing yards. Hampton's at 46 and a half rushing yards and they're both at one and a half receptions.
Jamie
Wow.
Dave
I like these numbers for Hampton.
Adam
I like it for Pacheco. But. Okay, so let's talk about the Chiefs matchup here. The, the, the matchup for Hampton and Najee Harris. For the first more than half the season, the Chiefs had the best run defense in football. And like, it just fell apart. I mean, they were so good. They were a sit, you know, basically for, for most running backs and then it fell apart a little bit. In their last nine games, running backs averaged 4.4 yards per carry in. In the eight games leading up to the super bowl, running backs averaged 4.7. So that's awful. And then they somehow did just an amazing job against Saquon Barkley and only Saquon Barkley in that game. But this, you know, I don't know what to make of it. This should, I think, should be a very good run defense and a tough matchup. On the other hand, I don't think the Chargers are a very tough matchup on paper. Dave, you can tell me if I'm wrong. They lost.
Dave
No, I agree with you. They get by with scheme.
Adam
Yeah.
Dave
And they're usually his own scheme.
Adam
Yeah, I'm sorry. They had this, this defense that looked really good last year, but everybody pointed out they played such an easy schedule. Then they started playing tough teams in the second half of the year and they got very exposed. Except not by the Chiefs though, because the Chiefs weren't that good of an offense. So. Yeah, I don't know. With all the things I said, you know, like how, how are we approaching the Chiefs? Are they going to put up. Are they going to put up a good number here? Are we excited about them? Dave kind of gave his take. Heath, how about you?
Heath
You start Mahomes, you start Worthy, you start Kelsey, and everything else is a total crapshoot. I think Pacheco is probably going to be a starter for most people. I. He's a flex for me. I would not be surprised if another Chief's pass catcher catches a touchdown. I would not venture a guess as to which pass catcher that's going to be. This will be. Like I. I said, I thought this was one of the more interesting ones in terms of finding things out. Just because it sounds like Naji is a full go now. He's not been through as much practice, so he's not going necessary. But seeing the split between Hampton and Naji or if a third back works in is going to be really interesting Week one. And does Hampton just make it clear that he's so much better than those guys that it shouldn't happen anymore? Seeing how many targets Keenan Allen siphons off in that offense, I'm expecting it to be around seven a game. Matters for understanding this offense.
Adam
Wait a second. You think Keenan Allen's getting seven targets a game?
Heath
Yes.
Adam
Wow. Okay.
Dave
But I don't think that'll happen in games that they're playing with a lead. But in general, if it's a high scoring game or if the Chargers are trailing. Yeah, I don't think that that's out of pocket. I want to take something back. I said, Adam, you should drop the Chiefs DST if you drafted them because they've got the Chargers this week. It's an okay matchup. It's not great after that, it's Philadelphia, then the Giants in week three, Baltimore in week four. So maybe you start them once over the first four weeks. You could probably find better.
Adam
I mean, I think you could start them twice. In the first three weeks. You can start them in this matchup and you can start them certainly against the Giants. Right. I mean, like, they're not.
Dave
You could. I feel like there's better options.
Heath
Their, their pass rush could give the Chargers a lot of trouble.
Adam
Yeah, Chargers without Slater. Yeah. Right. All right, let's take a quick break and come back. We'll finish up with this game. And we got a lot of questions in the chat before we do that. Xavier Worthy or George Pickens?
Heath
It's not, not close for me. And it's Worthy.
Adam
Dave, what'd you say?
Dave
I said Pickens.
Adam
Why is it not close?
Heath
The last six games we saw from Xavier Worthy, he was averaging 20 fantasy points per game. Yeah, he did that without Rashi Rice. Rashi Rice is not there. I, I don't. I'm not projecting him to score 20 fantasy points per game, but he is a, he is actually higher in my projections than lad McConkey.
Adam
McConkey is an easy start. By the way, the Chiefs, one thing they did struggle against last, last year was slot receivers. We'll see how much of the slot he sees, but. Okay. More on this game in just a moment. We'll be right back.
Heath
Now streaming on Paramount plus It's an all new season of adventures. We have to stop this invasion.
Adam
Get into this ship. This crew is team. We are going to find our way out of this.
Heath
Star Trek strange new worlds. New season. Now streaming on Paramount Plus September 4th on Paramount Plus. Someone is trying to frame us until our names are cleared we're fugitives from interval like Bonnie and Clyde with better snacks. NCIS Tony and Ziva streaming September 4th on Paramount Plus.
Adam
So Dave, do you have. Heath has Pacheco as a flex. Do you have Pacheco in your top 24?
Dave
I'd have to double check on top 24, but I think he's a flex for sure.
Adam
Okay. And I am making. You know, obviously everybody knows how much I love Pacheco. I'm deciding between him and Tony Pollard in a half PPR league and you know, Pollard, so much work without Spears last year. But Denver had one of the best run defenses in football. So it's tough because I think, I think Pacheco's got a good match up here. I don't know that for sure though. You know, I wish I had a little bit more conviction.
Dave
I think the wild card is that each team has to fly 12 hours to Brazil and then play in Brazil and it's the first game of the year and I just, I don't think we should have the same type of expectations for them as we would for any team playing in week four or five and certainly any other team that's playing without the crazy travel in week one.
Heath
I. I will say, like just in Pollards to help you make that decision. Adam, like, he averaged 24 touches a game without Ty J. Spears last year. And his. If you care at all about where the lines are, he's. The betting lines are much, much higher. Like 30% higher for Tony Pollard than Isaiah Pacheco in terms of yardage and touches.
Adam
I'm just so worried about Cam Ward in his first start of his career going against the arguably the best defense in football on the road. It could be a bloodbath. And that was going to take a lot of touches away from. From Pollard. But we'll talk about that tomorrow. Here's some questions for this game. Let's see, moving down here. Chiefs DST or Cardinals? Dst.
Jamie
Cardinals.
Heath
Cardinals.
Dave
Easy answer.
Adam
Omari and Hampton or David Montgomery? Montgomery against the pack.
Jamie
Hampton.
Dave
I have Hampton. Higher, but they're close.
Heath
Trying to find. Yeah, I've got him. Tony.
Adam
Isaiah Pacheco, Travis Hunter or Debo Samuel? Ppr.
Jamie
Debo.
Heath
Debo.
Adam
I think Debo Hampton, Tettero McMillan or Ricky Pearsall? Sit one in Ppr.
Jamie
Hampton.
Heath
Yes, I think I have Pearsall. Oh, Hampton. I agree.
Adam
Sitting Hampton, Checo Sutton or Matthew Golden. Pick one and I am making that decision in that same league I'm starting. Sutton, Hampton.
Jamie
I mean that. That same decision.
Adam
Of those three players, I'm picking two between. No, no, no. I. I was. You were. We were just talking about Pollard versus Pacheco. I have to pick Sutton, Pollard, Pacheco. I have to pick two of three.
Jamie
You know, it's nice to be able to sit Pacheco in the FFT league.
Adam
You're a jerk. Jamie's a jerk. Is our next segment. By the way. Hampton or Henderson?
Jamie
Henderson.
Heath
Henderson.
Adam
Especially if it's PPR, non PPR. Pacheco or Tetero. McMillan.
Jamie
Pacheco Health Score.
Heath
It's.
Adam
It's Pacheco Lab A Conkey or Keon Coleman. We're definitely going McConkey there.
Heath
Yes.
Adam
Judy or Pacheco? Come on, Judy.
Jamie
Pacheco and Nando.
Adam
Warren or Pacheco, Half ppr.
Dave
I might take Judy and non Warren or Pacheco.
Adam
This is a tough one.
Dave
Which one?
Adam
Jalen.
Dave
Okay, I'll take Jalen.
Heath
Definitely. Definitely Jalen for me.
Adam
Yeah. I think they're so low on Pacheco.
Heath
All right.
Adam
Herbert or Fields?
Jamie
Field.
Adam
Yep, it's Fields, Dobbins or Pacheco? We say Pacheco once.
Dave
Pachaco. Yeah, you found.
Adam
All right.
Heath
Yeah, it's.
Adam
It's Pacheco Hampton or Cortland Sutton. Ppr.
Heath
Sutton.
Jamie
Sudden.
Adam
Sudden about that. All right. I wonder if Jerry Snead is going to shut down Cortland Sutton. Thanks for your questions, everybody. And that was Thursday and Friday Night Football. Dave, I forgot to recap. Wait, actually, any sleepers, like, any sleepers in this I got like Marquis Brown or Keenan Allen or whatever.
Dave
So Brown is, is an interesting sleeper. I just don't know how big of a role he'll have. Like he's one of those ancillary pieces who could end up. He could end up scoring like a 30 yard touchdown and doing nothing else. I think Rashard Smith is interesting too. Just as a pass catcher out of the backfield. He can make some sneaky plays for the Chiefs. I'm rostering him in a couple of leagues and if he does absolutely nothing, he's an easy cut before week two. If he does something, then maybe he turns into a decent player down the line.
Heath
Keenan Allen is my third favorite wide receiver in the game by a pretty good margin and my third, my favorite flex that we didn't talk about by a pretty good margin.
Dave
Agreed. Listen, if you think the other guys are mildly intriguing.
Adam
Seven targets a game, which he said, that's huge. He's 59 rostered. He should be 100 roster or close to it if he's going to get seven targets a game. All right, our next segment is called Jamie is a Jerk. So first of all, Jamie, you literally have one minute to drop two players in the Dynasty league or I am going to do it for you right now because this is getting ridiculous. You have hoarded two players from the rest of the league for more than a week now and it's unfair. So do it. And after you do that, we'll talk about your Pacheco draft pick, which was just done out of spite and really very uncool.
Jamie
That was the highest player in my rankings.
Adam
Yeah, but it was your fourth running back. And I was on the phone with Dustin who purchased a spot in the league to co manage with me for St. Jude. Thank you, Dustin. And. And we're like, oh man, we're going to get Pacheco in round six. This is working out so well. Jamie's definitely not going to take him. He already has three running backs and Jamie took him as his fourth running back in six rounds. Can't even start him. And it was really pretty messed up. Made a trade off with the draft was over.
Heath
Whose wide receiver room is worse? Mine are Jamie's.
Adam
Okay.
Heath
Gotta beat the two. The two worst in the league in.
Adam
A three receiver PPR league. Heath has CD Lamb, Travis Hunter, Debo Samuel and Luther Burden. And Chris Godwin. CD Lamb, Travis Hunter, Debo Samuel, Luther Bird and Chris Godden Godwin. Jamie has Drake London, Garrett Wilson, Michael Pitman, Keon Coleman, Demario Douglas, Romeo Dobbs and Cedric Tillman. Huh.
Heath
Jamie has more.
Adam
Garrett Wilson in round five was a hell of a pick. And then Pacheco around six was an interesting one. All right. Who'd you drop? Did you drop anyone?
Jamie
I did the job one.
Adam
Okay. Drop another. Okay. Well, it is interesting though, Jamie like to draft someone with the thought of trading them kind of.
Jamie
I didn't do that, though.
Adam
Well, you're. You. But you already made a trade offer the second the draft was over.
Jamie
Because I knew it would be interesting for to see your response. I knew you're gonna say no.
Adam
Yeah, but what are you gonna do? You, you know, you have four running backs now. You're just gonna play the depth. They play play, you know, play it out with depth.
Jamie
I mean, I don't particularly mind my receiving core, so it's not what I would hope for, but I don't mind it. I mean, I have two of my top 24 guys in Drake, London and Garrett Wilson. And I have, you know, the ability to find a third guy. I think Pittman was a little underrated once Daniel Jones named starter, he was getting overdrafted in cbs, but I think it's underrated based on our rankings. I like Demaro Douglas. I think he'll work in ppr. I think we'll get some good moments, obviously of Keon Coleman, you know, so that's a third receiver that has plenty of upside. So I don't mind it at all.
Adam
All right, let's get some NFL predictions, guys. Let's do division winners, wild card, Super Bowl. Here we go. AFC East. Why don't we do. We're gonna do everybody in the same order. Let's go, Heath, Dave. Jerk.
Heath
Okay.
Dave
Wow.
Heath
I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna try to go out on a limb a little bit this year. And so I'm gonna take the Bills to win the AFCs.
Adam
Okay.
Dave
I. We're not trying to be different. Right. We want to correctly predict.
Adam
Yes, it's gonna happen.
Dave
It's Buffalo.
Jamie
Jets.
Adam
No Buffalo. I'll take Buffalo, too. I haven't given this a second of thought, so this will be fun. AFC North.
Dave
Ravens.
Heath
Ravens.
Adam
Dave, you went out of order. All right, Jamie, you're up. Jerk. You're up.
Dave
Wow. Maybe you're the jerk, Adam.
Heath
Oh, he's definitely the jerk.
Jamie
Browns.
Adam
Anarchist over there. I'm putting Baltimore for Jamie. Baltimore for Adam, too. AFC South.
Heath
Can they just disband? Like, Jamie can't even make a joke about this division.
Jamie
No, I can.
Adam
Heath.
Heath
Jacksonville, Houston.
Jamie
You don't know if I'm joking or not. In Jacksonville.
Adam
I'm putting Jacksonville. I'm going Houston. AFC West.
Heath
Come on.
Jamie
Kansas City.
Adam
Rich.
Dave
It's obvious, right? Denver Broncos.
Adam
You take Denver.
Dave
I'm taking Denver.
Jamie
Jb, Las Vegas.
Adam
Come on. Oh, why are you being like this with Chiefs?
Jamie
Chiefs.
Adam
Okay. Yeah. Chiefs. Wild card. Eth.
Heath
What do we need? Two of these.
Adam
Three.
Heath
Three of these. That seemed like too many.
Adam
That was.
Heath
Denver will probably make the wild card. Cincinnati will probably make the wild card, and I guess I'll choose the Chargers.
Adam
Okay, Dave.
Dave
Kansas City. Pittsburgh, Cincinnati.
Adam
Jamie.
Jamie
Denver, Cincinnati and New England.
Heath
And I like that.
Adam
Gonna go Cincinnati. Chargers for sure. And I'm gonna take. I guess I'll take Denver and. No, that's boring. I'm gonna take Miami. All right. Nfc.
Heath
Now you're.
Dave
Now you're doing the bit.
Adam
No, I'm not. What did you say, Jamie? 20 and 11 when two is healthy under Mike McDaniel.
Jamie
2011 when two is healthy under Mike mcDaniel.
Adam
And plus, like, it's never. It's never that chalky in the NFL, Right? You've got to have something different. There's. We have way too many of last year's playoff teams making the playoffs. It's probably going to be half of them or a little more. NFC East. You know, it hasn't been done in 20 years.
Jamie
All of us do. I have three teams to make the playoffs.
Adam
Making the playoffs, who'd you have?
Jamie
Jacksonville, Cincinnati and New England.
Adam
Okay, that's not bad. Heath has Jacksonville, Cincinnati, Cincinnati, and that's it.
Heath
The Broncos and Chargers both made it last year.
Adam
Yeah.
Dave
Yes.
Heath
They weren't there very long, so I.
Adam
Forgot they were not. NFC east hasn't happened in over 20 years where a team has won the division back to back years. Is this going to be the year? Heath? Dave. Jamie.
Heath
Yeah.
Jamie
Commanders?
Dave
Giants.
Adam
No, you're not picking the Giant.
Dave
The division.
Adam
All right, fine.
Dave
I'll pick Philadelphia.
Adam
Jamie, you really want Washington?
Jamie
Sure. Be different.
Adam
I gotta go Philadelphia. NFC North.
Dave
Packers, Packers, Lions.
Adam
God, everybody's going out of order. Green Bay, Detroit. Green Bay. I'm going Detroit. NFC South, Tampa Bay all around.
Jamie
Yes.
Heath
Yep.
Dave
Yes.
Adam
NFC West. Tough one, Heath.
Heath
I will go with the Rams.
Dave
Oh, Niners go from worst to first.
Jamie
Yeah, Niners.
Adam
I'm going Niners as well. Wild card Heath.
Heath
Washington, Minnesota and Atlanta.
Adam
Oh, Dave.
Dave
Washington, Green Bay and the Giants. And this time I'm serious.
Adam
All right, Jamie.
Jamie
Dallas, Minnesota and Detroit.
Adam
Okay, I'm definitely going Washington, Green Bay, but not the Giants. Let's go with the. Go with the Cardinal. Rams. Let's go with the Cardinals. All right. Oh, Super Bowl. What do we got?
Jamie
Oh, Wizzy McQuizards is not going to make Thomas happy.
Adam
Says Minnesota won't win nine game like that.
Dave
I'm shocked.
Adam
I think. I think Thomas deserves some predictions, too. Let's get our super bowl picks, then we'll get Thomas's picks.
Dave
I can give you Thomas a Super bowl pick.
Jamie
Bill's Packers.
Dave
No.
Heath
The Vikings are. Would be lucky to win nine games, in my opinion this year. You guys act like I'm completely biased. I'm not completely biased.
Dave
Good for you.
Adam
You never know. There was. They're a solid team. He doesn't like Kevin o', Connell, I think.
Jamie
Oh, no. Elijah Vera Tucker suffered a potentially serious injury and could miss some significant time.
Adam
Yeah. Offensive guard for the Jets. Very good linemen.
Dave
It's gonna kill all Jamie shares of Breeze Hall.
Adam
Yeah. Super Bowl. Sorry, Jamie. You said something.
Jamie
Well, Heath, Bill's Packers.
Adam
Bill's Packers. For Jamie Heath, we're picking a winner. Who's gonna win?
Jamie
The Bills will win.
Heath
I'll go Chiefs, Commanders.
Dave
Ravens over the Bucks.
Adam
You'll have to even ask you who you think is going to win. Heath.
Heath
I mean, you just make the same prediction every year.
Adam
All right, so he's going Chiefs over Commanders. Dave's going Baltimore over Buffalo.
Dave
No, that would be impossible. For the Super Bowl. Over Tampa.
Adam
Over Tampa.
Dave
Over Tampa.
Adam
Jamie's going.
Heath
They should just let Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen play against each other in the super bowl so one of them can get one.
Adam
Oh, man, this is tough. I'm going to go with. I'm going to go with Kansas City over Detroit. No, Detroit over Kansas City. All right, Schaefer, who's going to win the Super Bowl?
Heath
Oh, I really haven't thought much about this one. Well, we have. We've been thinking about it all week. This was definitely not off the top of our heads. Eagles over Ravens. Wow. And Mr. Pepinski just said that. That's crazy.
Adam
Literally, as I'm saying it, are you, Mr. Pepinski.
Heath
All along, he had seven burners in the chat.
Jamie
I said, thomas, I need some email addresses for Mr. Pepinski. Johnny. And the other one, I don't know how to say his name. And it was like, hold on. Oh, I got it.
Adam
Yeah, there you go. Give me three seconds. All right, good stuff, guys. Good show. Thank you, everybody, for watching and listening. CBS sports network tomorrow, 1:00pm Eastern. Every Tuesday and Thursday. Yeah.
Dave
Oh, yes. All right, so Heath and I already have two bets, and we agreed that the winner gets food from the loser. I'll get Joe's from Kansas City. Heath will get probably Aurelios from Chicago.
Adam
And then.
Jamie
That's not your favorite one.
Dave
It is.
Heath
No, he doesn't take me to his favorite place.
Dave
No, Aurelio's is literally my favorite place. It's the best. Although Chicagoans will debate me on that. Things that people die over. There was a suggestion in the comments that the loser should have to wear a tie. So how about a week's worth of being forced to wear a tie no matter what show you're on?
Adam
I like that because, like, it's. It would be weird.
Dave
Something for the.
Jamie
It's something that'll be doing an off season, so that doesn't really.
Heath
We're already waiting till week 100 worth of food to somebody.
Dave
But, like, the audience doesn't get anything about me getting a bunch of barbecue.
Adam
How about a bow tie?
Dave
I'm fine with bow ties. Ties.
Heath
I don't have any bow ties.
Adam
I'll send you a bow tie.
Dave
Don't worry. I'll give you a couple. You can borrow some of mine I like.
Adam
That's a better idea. All right, I have one last question I forgot about. I had a sports argument with some friends.
Dave
Do you agree, Heath? Is that a good bet?
Heath
I. I don't really like it, but I'm not gonna lose, so that's fine.
Adam
So I had a sports argument on my group text last night. The question was, when someone is making a joke about football and they say blue 42, what do you think they're referencing.
Jamie
When someone makes a joke about it?
Adam
When they say blue 42, like they're pretending to be a quarterback, what do you think they're referencing? And I'll tell you what the answers. So someone said, ace Ventura or Little Giants? And I said, no, it's necessary roughness. But I don't know how you guys feel about.
