Adam Mazer
It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Off to the races and he stays on his feet. This is gonna go the distance. Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath. Tuesday, June 10th. Welcome to Fantasy football today. What an opportunity we have for our audience right now. Welcome everybod. This is Adam Mazer with Dan Schneier and Jamie Eisenberg. We are participating, actually, we are watching a PPR mock draft. 12 teams only our fans in this one. And if you, if you, the lucky viewer out there is watching live@YouTube.com fantasy football today. You have an opportunity to join the draft and be on the show. Basically, we're gonna, oh, Joey Wright is here. We'd love to get another fantasy analyst, even if he's not a CBS guy in on the draft. So Thomas Schaefer is going to post the link to the draft. Right. And the first 12 people to click that link and claim a spot in the draft are in. In the meantime, Jamie, Dan and I will go through the news and notes. All right. You think I would do well if I were like the Price is Right voiceover guy who told people to come on down?
Jamie Eisenberg
I actually think that'd be an excellent job for you. Not gonna lie. What I don't think will be good for you is, and I did have to bring this up to start the show real quick, our next tennis match, because there's a really, there's a, there's a private message that I really do really enjoy. Between us three. I won't reveal what the title of that private message is. It's not safe for air. But you can just think back to an episode where I had a precarious looking shirt on. It was blocked by the microphone. Anyway, point being, yeah, last week Adam was texting all excited about his tennis game. He's been playing three, four times a week. And he said, you know what? You know what I think? I think we shouldn't make the, we shouldn't wait until this Summer until, you know, the end of summer for St. Jude to play tennis. I think we should play a first match right now and then play again. And immediately. Jamie, did I not immediately say, okay, let's go? And after that, crickets from Adam. Absolute crickets. He regretted putting it out there. He hasn't followed up since. I private texted him. I private DM'd him. When are we playing? I showed up at his house the other night waiting to play.
Adam Mazer
All right, all right, all right. We gotta get the show. I don't think it benefits me to play you right now because I think I would.
Jamie Eisenberg
Why did you offer it?
Adam Mazer
It was a. It was a silly offer. I think I would do fairly well, and I think it would motivate you to practice, to train harder.
Jamie Eisenberg
And I don't want that angle. You're saying.
Adam Mazer
Yeah, I don't want. I, I. Yeah, because there's no. If I lose, there's no downside for me by losing. Bad.
Jamie Eisenberg
If I do well, then there's definite downside to lose. But you lost 6,260 in our match.
Adam Mazer
No, then I would train more. But if I do well, then you will train more, and I don't want that. Okay, here are your news and notes mention.
Dan Schneier
The nice thing is that Dan went to Hawaii just to play tennis to practice for you.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yes, it's. It sparked a new fervor for tennis for me, and I cannot wait. I'm. I'm playing again this week. Adam, you're in a lot of trouble.
Adam Mazer
Okay? Some players not at minicamp. Not, not unexpectedly. Cincinnati defensive end Trey Hendrickson, Pittsburgh edge rusher T.J. watt, Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin. Not at minicamp. You never want to see a player getting a second opinion on his shoulder from Dr. Neil. Neil Elitrage, the basically premier shoulder guy out there. But that's what Anthony Richardson's doing. He's getting a second opinion on his shoulder from Dr. Ella Traj. We'll keep an eye on that. Just a note for you here. When Anthony Richardson and Jonathan Taylor were both on the field last year from the three yard line or closer, Jonathan Taylor only had 50% of the carries. He had 10, Richardson had 8. Trey Sermon had 1. Zach Moss had 1. 50 of the. I call that goal line. You could, you know, whatever you want. I won the three yard line. You could, you know, make your own rules on what is a goal line carry. That's not great. So. And Jamie, you know, look at the career running back target rate for Daniel Jones in four of his six seasons, it was pretty low. In two of his six seasons. The first two with Brian Dable, it was 10th and 12th in the league. Running back target rate for Daniel Jones, for example, you had saquon Barkley in 16 games, had 57 catches. So in 2022 with Daniel Jones at quarterback. So yeah, I think you said maybe slight upgrade for Jonathan Taylor who was top seven running back per game in all formats last year and only 14 games. I would think more goal line carries or higher percentage of goal line carries and more catches. Would you say that's fair? With Daniel Jones?
Dan Schneier
I don't think the catches could be worse. He had a career low 18 last year, so it's not like we're expecting him to, I, I can't imagine him being worse than that. So I would hope he can get to, you know, the 40 catch range, you know, which certainly is something he has in his profile. But you're not drafting Jonathan Taylor to be a receiver. You're drafting him to be, you know, 1500 plus yards rushing, which he was on pace for in a 17 game season and you know, north of 12 touchdowns, which he had 11 in those 14 games. So you're, you know, that's the expectation for Taylor which is why he's gone from number one overall in 2022 to now an early third round pick. So assuming everything is right and a couple other news items that didn't mention James Cook actually showed up to manage.
Adam Mazer
Oh, huge.
Dan Schneier
So those two guys are sort of close for me if everything's right for Cook. Because you're banking on rushing yards and touchdowns for him as well. Last year he led or tied for the NFL lead in rushing touchdowns. In terms of cooking and you know, not expecting Jonathan Taylor to, to be a pass catcher again, I, I don't really worry too much about the rushing touchdowns with Richardson because it is such a small sample size, but I, I think it's just something, you know, again, you're, you're sort of nitpicking but you know, non ppr Don. And the, Taylor's in consideration for first round pick. Ppr. He's a third round pick, half ppr, probably second round pick.
Adam Mazer
Oh, okay. I mean with a career low 18 catches in 14 games, he was still RB7 per game last year. So I, well, we're doing a PPR draft.
Dan Schneier
That was a lot of Joe Flacco performances too.
Adam Mazer
Yeah. But yeah, I, I don't, I don't know if he'll make it to the third round. I, I, in a PPR league let's find out right now. Right. We're about to start this draft. 12 team league, full PPR. I'll give you the format in just a second. Few more quick news items. Nick Chubb did officially sign his deal. One year, two and a half million dollars. Drake May says he's focusing on taking what's open, shorter passes, quicker passes, instead of holding the ball, waiting too long. Cam Makers is visiting the Saints today. And Jalen Wright. Dolphins running back Jalen Wright says he's lost a lot of body fat. He's gained more muscle. I think he's going to have a role. I think we all think he's going to have a role this year as an interesting player, and we'll see where he goes. Okay, here we go.
Dan Schneier
Did you get John Smith?
Adam Mazer
No. What. What's going on here? No.
Dan Schneier
John who? Smith and Jalen Ramsey. Not at mandatory minicamp for the Dolphins. So don't be surprised if there's a John who trades at some point.
Adam Mazer
Well, he wanted a new contract, and so it's not a shock that he's. He wants a new contract. It's not a shock that he's missing. But, yes, we'll keep an eye on a John who trade, which I think if there is a John who trade, you guys will finally be ready to move Tyreek Hill up to where I have Tyree Kill, which I'm not.
Dan Schneier
Your third running back and Tyreek as your third receiver.
Adam Mazer
McCaffrey as my second running back. Second running back, third overall. And Tyreek. No, not as my third receiver. Probably like ninth at least.
Dan Schneier
The streak continues.
Adam Mazer
Yeah. There we go. Okay, let's start the draft. Here we go. So the format is full PPR, 12 teams, 13 rounds. One quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, one flex. So shallow rosters here, but a lot of people play in this type of format. And I want to thank our 12 audience members for joining. And here we go. We're on the clock. All right, who's. Who's number. Who's the number one pick for you guys? If you had the number one pick?
Dan Schneier
Chase.
Jamie Eisenberg
It's Chase for me as well.
Adam Mazer
Okay.
Jamie Eisenberg
Especially in this format.
Adam Mazer
Husky Huskies is on the clock. All right, listen, if you're. If you're drafting, we gave you a minute for each pick. It was a debate before the show. Should it be 30 seconds or a minute?
Jamie Eisenberg
30? It was supposed to be 30.
Adam Mazer
I said a minute. I had faith. It's taking 40 seconds to make the first pick. We're still on the clock here. Like, come on, Husky Huskies, you got to make this pick. We got. We need your help here. We need you to be on the ball. Otherwise you're going to get auto picked, which, whatever. All right. He took Jamar Chase. Perfect second pick should be who.
Dan Schneier
And.
Adam Mazer
It is Saquon Barkley. All right, Dan. I know Heath, Dave, Jamie, they have Bijan as RB1. Who's your RB1?
Jamie Eisenberg
This is going to be a great debate. I. I think for now it's going to be Saquon Barkley. I think we're discounting him a little too much. I don't think there's any drop off from an athleticism standpoint and almost everything has returned from him from a situation standpoint. There is also upside for Barkley. If he converts some of those touchdowns that he didn't convert from inside the five that went to Jalen Hurts on the next play. So age is the only thing holding him back. I guess I just don't really understand the discount. In a much better offense than Bijan Robinson and in a better role, Christian would be the only one. I think you can kind of compete with him for it, but I'm not willing to put him over Barkley. So it's Barkley.
Adam Mazer
Okay. Barkley was on pace for 35 catches last year. He played 16 games at 33 catches. He also had. He led the NFL. He led all running backs with nine carries that went to the one yard line. Five of those were followed by tush push touchdowns for Jalen hurts. Bijan had 60 catches in 17 games. So. All right, we got a lot of picks flying off the board here. All right, let's catch up. So we've got Jamar Chase, Saquon Barkley, Bijan Robinson third Justin Jefferson, CD Lamb. Jameer Gibbs goes sixth as the third running back. Malik Neighbors. Malik Neighbors over Amanra St. Brown, who went next? Then Pukinakua, then Nico Collins, Jamie Malik neighbors as wide receiver for the seventh overall pick. What do you think about that? Ahead of St. Brown, Nakua, Nico and now Ashton Genti off the board.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I have it ranked that way also. I think neighbors upside is immense. Dan has talked about this quite a bit. I agree. You know, Russell Wilson I think is a plus for him just with how he'll attack downfield and allow neighbors to, you know, open up a little bit more of his route tree. He's still going to be the dominant target getter on this offense. You know, looking at Wandell Robinson and Darius Slayton, you know, I know Russell Wilson probably spread the ball around a little bit more than the guys last year. But you don't do the things that Neighbors did as a rookie and not have an opportunity to build off of that. So it's close. You know, Puka's obviously in a great spot. Amara St. Brown has tried and true. Nico Collins could have another, you know, not breakout but, you know, step forward if he stays healthy and builds off what he's done the two years with, with C.J. stroud. But I just like the trajectory of Neighbors. And while it could be risky to buy into the Giants with their schedule, maybe some quarterback, you know, turnover if, if Russell struggles or the team struggles, but I think this is a positive for him. Getting Russell Wilson and, and what he showed last year, I can't.
Adam Mazer
All right, you said you have more Puka, Dan, how about you? Neighbors or Puka?
Jamie Eisenberg
It's neighbors for me, for certain, man.
Adam Mazer
I. All right, I'm surprised because Puka, like Neighbors, had a great rookie year, right? Well, Puka had a better rookie year. Puka left Week 1 with an injury and got thrown out in another game. And if you take those two games out, if you look at the games where he had a normal snapshare 75% or higher, he was on pace for 189 targets last year, 142 catches, 1781 yards. Touchdowns are a little bit of an issue for Puka. So far in his career he hasn't been a big touchdown guy, but the guy who steals most of the red zone and end zone and green zone targets was Cooper cup and he's gone. So I don't, I don't know what else we could ask for from Pukinakua.
Dan Schneier
Well, if there was no Devonte Adams.
Adam Mazer
I would agree with you, but had a huge role. A Cup had a huge role last year.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, it's still a one big one two situation. It always will be when a Sean McVeigh offense. And I do think his role is fine for me. Neighbors gets the edge because the massive upgrade Neighbors gets at quarterback. One of the things that held Neighbors back last year was touchdowns, but not because Neighbors wasn't able to do to. To score touchdowns against the Colts in week 17, he scored two with Drew Lock having his one good game. So I think the upgrade there gives him more touchdown upside than Puka for sure. And I also think there's more target upside, there's more upside after the catch and there's a better health profile. But I'm still a little nervous about Puka. Long term injured throughout college Injured each of his first two seasons. I know he played a lot of them, but he also dealt with injury.
Adam Mazer
He didn't get hurt as a rookie, did he?
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, I thought he did get hurt. No, he made that whole season through. Okay. And I was wrong about that. Sorry about that. But injured his second season in all of college.
Adam Mazer
Okay, we paused the draft, so I'll catch everybody up again. It was Chase Barkley, Bijan, Jefferson, Lamb, Gibbs. By the way, the best way to follow this is to watch it on YouTube. YouTube.com fantasy football today neighbors. Oh, click the Click the Live tab if you want to see archives of our podcasts. Neighbors Amanra St. Brown, Puka Nakua, Nico Collins. So that is three running backs and seven wide receivers with the first 10 picks. Then we get Ashton Genti, 11th, Christian McCaffrey, 12th, Brian Thomas, 13. So the team with the 12th pick went McCaffrey, Brian Thomas, the team with the 11th pick. I'm trying to read seven. I can't read the name. Sorry. Ashton Genty in the first round, Derrick Henry in the second round and we still have AJ Brown on the board. He did not go. Drake London was the next wide receiver. So if you're looking at the team that took Genti, Jamie with the 11th overall pick going with Derrick Henry instead of say A.J. brown, which would have been wide receiver nine, or Drake London if you wanted to take him, or Brock bowers or Trey McBride real quick and then we'll move on. We'll unpause the draft in a moment here. What did you think of that pick Henry, 14th overall and a running back. Running back start in a full PPR league.
Dan Schneier
I don't love it, but I want to see how it plays out, you know, I mean, anytime you, you know, see the first two rounds, you can't really judge how the, the team is going to look. And so, you know, if the manager of Team 11 has a strong plan and you know, is going to just load up at wide receiver and may end up with, you know, a solid group, just not a, a headliner, it could still work out great. I just think based on what the talent pool will start to look like when we get back to the end of round three and the beginning of round four, you might end up regretting taking a receiver there, looking at the running back depth that might be available. But again, we have to see how the draft plays out.
Adam Mazer
Yeah. So if you go, if you start running back, running back with a late pick. So this is the 11th pick, Genti and Derrick Henry based On let's just say Jamie's rankings, you could be looking at maybe Tyreek Hill falls, but probably not. You could be looking at Rashee Rice, Garrett Wilson, Terry McLaurin, Cortland Sutton, Marvin Harrison, Mike Evans. If you love two of those players, then go ahead, start running back. Running back. Okay. Drake London was the next pick. He goes ahead of AJ Brown. Brock Bowers is off the board to the Puka Nakua manager. So it's Nakua and Bowers for Joey Wright and we can unpause the draft. McCaffrey, Brian Thomas for team 12, Genty Derrick Henry for team 11, Nico Collins, Drake London for team 10, Puka Nakua, Brock Bowers for team nine. And we're up to team eight here in the second round. Amanra Saint Brown in round one and Devon Achan. Oh yeah, that's my favorite team so far, guys. A Chan.
Dan Schneier
Pretty solid one. I was wondering when HN would go. Just do me a favor, remind me after the show to tell Jake Seeley to put Joey Wright in the nine spot for our flex draft. So I know exactly what he's gonna do.
Adam Mazer
Puka and Bowers is pretty good. You like the Bowers pick over HN though? Over AJ Brown?
Dan Schneier
I don't. I mean, I have McBride as my number one tight end, so I don't think they should go ahead of Brown or hn. So it was a little too soon. But look, if you have a conviction on one of the two tight ends and want to make sure you get your favorite of the two, then you obviously have to do it a little bit earlier in the in. In round two.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm a little scared by that pick as well this year with Bowers. Just trust the talent for sure. That's obvious. But the. You know, there was a lot made about the Raiders offensive scheme last year and it's completely gone now. And while I don't think it was the best scheme in the NFL, I think it was designed around Brock Bowers more than I've seen any scheme designed around a tight end in a long time. Is that going to be the case this year with a new scheme, a run first scheme, bringing in Ashton Gente. Those are question new quarterback situation. Those are just question marks for me. And if he doesn't have that same target volume, I don't imagine him being worth a pick this early. Taking him over some of these players that Jamie mentioned.
Adam Mazer
All right, so after Bowers, it was A Chan and AJ Brown, Josh Allen comes off the board. That was an auto.
Dan Schneier
Wow.
Adam Mazer
One thing I want to pick. One thing I want to point out though is that this league only starts one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, a flex and a tight end. It's not a three receiver league, it's not a two flex league. So getting that tight end advantage, you know, to me I, I always think the shallower the league, the more for me just, Again, I don't know if everybody agrees with this. Anybody agrees. The more important tight end is in shallower leagues, deeper leagues, like super flex leagues. For me, tight end, tight end, I, I value them less. So I have a question.
Jamie Eisenberg
We always debate that. Adam, I want to hear your take on this. I've never really, I've tried to think this through and I. So with regards to taking a tight end in a 10 team lead, let's say versus like a 14, and you're kind of saying it's better to take.
Adam Mazer
It's.
Jamie Eisenberg
They're more valuable. The top player of a position is more valuable. Onesie position is more valuable in a shorter league. But wouldn't you. I would almost feel like getting Bowers or getting these top players in position. Josh Allen is more important, a 14 team lead because you're going to have 13 teams. So you're in other teams. So you're gonna have a big gap between you and that 12, 13th, 14th quarterback or tight end each week.
Adam Mazer
So it's actually, it's actually a different argument. Thomas, you want to pause the draft real quick? We'll pause it in round three and catch everybody up on round two. I'm not necessarily, I'm not talking about league size, okay? I'm talking about roster size. I am talking about the percentage of total points because most tight ends are valuable compared to the other tight ends and many of those other tight ends stink. But they're not as valuable as a guy like Devon HN who averaged like 22 points per game last year when Tua was healthy. They're probably not going to be as valuable as A.J. brown. They're not going to score as many points. So when you have a team that has a super flex in particular, where those tight end points are a smaller percentage of the overall points, that's when I start to devalue it because it's like you've gotta, I, I don't know, I, it's hard for me to put this into words sometimes, but that's, that's the distinction I make. It's not about 10 team, 12 team, 14 team. It's about how many total points do we have on the team because the tight ends are mostly valuable compared to the other tight ends that that you're going up against on a weekly basis. They don't score as many points as the best wide receivers and running backs. All right, we got to take a break and when we come back we will tell you about the rest of round two and get into round three of this 12 team PPR league. We'll be right back.

Adam Mazer
Welcome back. Okay, so let's talk about round two. Here it's Brian Thomas Jr. Derrick Henry, Drake London, Brock Bowers, Devon Achan, AJ Brown. Then Josh Allen came off the board. It was an auto pick, but I don't think it's going to be uncommon to see Josh Allen go in the middle of round two. Trey McBride, Bucky Irving, Lad McConkey Jack, Josh Jacobs and Jackson Smith and Jigba. Jamie, I know we love Bucky Irving. Do we like him more than Josh Jacobs? He went two picks ahead of Jacobs. He went ahead of Jonathan Taylor, who was the first pick of round three. Chase Brown also went ahead of him. So that was RB 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Was Bucky Irving ahead of Jacobs and Taylor? Thoughts?
Dan Schneier
Head of Kyron Williams too. So you know a couple guys that are definitely in the conversation. Look, if you're, if you have again, conviction on one of these players, Bucky Irving was awesome last year. And as we talked about, you know, the end of the season into the playoffs, his usage compared to Rashad White's was dramatic, you know, and if that's going to be the case, my gosh, he could be an absolute monster. So there's a lot to love about his situation. But that being said, there's a lot to love about Jacobs and what he showed. And again, do you fear Marshawn Lloyd at this point, who did nothing? Emmanuel Wilson, who's, you know, in my opinion, just the guy. And they moved on from A.J. dylan, if you had any concern about him. So Jacobs is clearly locked in. Kyron Williams. Again, you can nitpick. Did he get significant competition in Dark West Hunter? Well, they drafted a guy last year that they barely used as well, and Blake Horam. And so Kyron seems locked in, and it could be a, you know, run him into the ground scenario of a guy that's looking for a contract and may not get one with his team. So I think all these guys are in a similar tier. For me, I would have gone Kyron, and I would have probably gone both Jacobs and Chase Brown over Bucky Irving.
Adam Mazer
Okay, Taylor. Taylor Irving for you.
Dan Schneier
Irving for me.
Adam Mazer
Okay, Bucky Irving. Yeah. PBR. Bucky Irving in his last four games had 72 carries. Rashad White had 10. That includes postseason. Last four games, including the postseason. All right, let's move on. So again, the end of round two was Josh Allen, Trey McBride, Bucky Irving. You can unpause the drafts, Thomas. Thank you, lad. McConkey, Josh Jacobs and JSN. We go into round three, we get Jonathan Taylor. So the first pick for Husky Huskies, he has team one. If I say team one, that means first overall pick. Team two, second overall pick, whatever. Jamar, Chase Jackson, Smith and Jigba, Jonathan Taylor, Team two, Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs. And then with the second pick of round three, Lamar Jackson. So, Dan, we got a team that does not have a wide receiver yet and won't have one until the 47th pick at the earliest. Your thoughts on that? Barkley, Jacobs, Lamar.
Jamie Eisenberg
Again, I think you made a good case as to why this is possible in a league like this. Just because you only have to start two wide receivers. Though I view it, again, as a league where you have to start three wide receivers. I think you're probably losing long term if you try to fill your flex with anything but a wide receiver in a format like this. Maybe a little bit less so. And two receivers have to start first three receivers. But it. It's proven over time that you're looking for that in full PPR leagues. You're looking for that flex to be filled by a wide receiver. So it's putting yourself in a difficult spot. But I don't hate it because I think Josh Jacobs is an excellent value at the end of round two. And on the Lamar front, you're adding, like you said, an explosive player to onesie position in a shorter league, so he's making more of a difference. I think you did a good job breaking that down. I wasn't really, you know, tracking before that, and I think you kind of caught me up on that.
Adam Mazer
So it's the. It's not exactly a. I might be wrong, you know.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, but it made sense what you were saying. Like, I. I never really thought of it from that point of view as far as the shorter league goes. So I almost feel like you're building a team of like you're in this style, like in a 10 team league. You're almost looking to build a team. This is 12, by the way, isn't it? Yeah, 12 in a 10. I would like him a little bit more so maybe I. A little bit off there, but I don't know. I think I'm okay with this build here, but it's going to be tough to come by receptions with Barkley and Jacobs there.
Adam Mazer
Okay.
Dan Schneier
I love team three.
Adam Mazer
All right, team three. Let's take a look at team three. Bijan Robinson, lad McConkey, T. Higgins.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Mazer
Would you have taken Chase Brown instead of T. Higgins?
Dan Schneier
No.
Adam Mazer
Or Kyron Williams instead of T. Higgins?
Dan Schneier
No, I think I.
Adam Mazer
Is it crazy to like T. Higgins more than McConkey?
Jamie Eisenberg
No, I like him more than McConkey.
Dan Schneier
I do, too.
Adam Mazer
Yeah. I think I would like this team a little bit better if it were Bijan T. Higgins, Chase Brown, or Kyron Williams. But he didn't have that option because he took McConkey first.
Jamie Eisenberg
I know what my favorite team's going to be already.
Adam Mazer
Let's get. Let's do round three. In round three, Jonathan Taylor, Lamar Jackson, T. Higgins, Garrett Wilson, fourth pick of round three. Too early?
Dan Schneier
Maybe a little bit. You know, again, when you start to get to this group of wide receivers, you know, we've talked about this a lot. Once you get past, you know, wide receiver, 12, 13, you know, like it's. It's a jumbled group. So Wilson, Adams, Rice, Harrison Tyreek. I know you like him the best of the group, which is fine based on his potential upside. Like, they're all in this range.
Adam Mazer
All right, so Wilson goes 3.4. Chase Brown, Devonte Adams. Which the Adams team or the Chase.
Dan Schneier
Brown, the Lamb team?
Adam Mazer
CD Lamb, Trey McBride. Yeah, I do love this team. CD Lamb, Trey McBride, Chase Brown for team five.
Jamie Eisenberg
11 all day.
Adam Mazer
Team 11. Nailed it.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yes.
Adam Mazer
Devonte Adams, Rashid Rice. So we got a three receiver team. We got neighbors. A.J. brown, Rashi Rice. Okay. And remember only only starting two receivers and a flex. Next pick is Marvin Harrison. Kyron Williams really falling. Wow to Joey who has Pukinakua, Brock Bowers and Kyron Williams. That was at 3.9. Kyron Williams next pick is Jaden Daniels. Now that team has Nico Collins, Drake London and Jane Daniels. J. Daniels is the 34th overall pick and he is the third quarterback off the board. Allen mid round two, Lamar Jackson 26th overall, Jaden Daniels 34th overall. And then so team 11 was when we highlighted Genti and Derrick Henry in a 12 team PPR league. What are they going to do at receiver Tyreek hill fell at 3:11.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's my favorite team so far.
Adam Mazer
And then spoiler alert, three picks later they took Terry McLaurin. Great start pick 12 in round three. The last pick of round three was James Cook and then George Kittle. So the first team with four players is the is team 12 with McCaffrey, Brian Thomas, James Cook and George Kittle. I'd go to war with that team. Genti, Derek Henry, tyree, kill Terry McLaurin for team 11.
Jamie Eisenberg
What'd you say George Kittle started round four is a tough sell for me. Yeah, his age, his injury history, the limited.
Dan Schneier
I mean easily be tight end one though of course.
Jamie Eisenberg
I just don't. I think there's a little bit too much risk there.
Adam Mazer
Yeah, you know I, I said that he's oh I think I said he George Kittle's always hurt or something like that. On a previous podcast we have an Apple podcast comment that called me out on that. He's not really always hurt. I mean in the last four years he's played 14, 15, 16 and 15 games. I don't know if any of those games, any of those seasons include a week 18 where he sat.
Jamie Eisenberg
There has to be some games he played heard though in that mix probably.
Adam Mazer
He'S not like he played eight games in week in 2020. Other than that he's played at least 14 games every year. So okay, I probably missed two games.
Dan Schneier
We'll say that that the thing about it is the there there always are a lot of spike games for him right where he has a big game two touchdown game three touchdown game. We've seen that from him. There's such an open canvas for him this season with Debo gone and Iuk out and we're yeah Jennings this and Pierce all that and maybe IU comes back like he's so tried and true that and and it's not like we're talking about coming off a bad season. He's coming off.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, right.
Adam Mazer
He was the number one tight end points per game. Yeah.
Dan Schneier
So it's not like we're talking about he's coming off a disappointing season and he's got to prove something to us. So like I'm fine with him even in round three. You know, just looking at the, the potential of what he could be this year. Granted it could be a totally new offense and not that's. That's the wrong thing. It could be a totally new Shanahan. A version of Shanahan's offense because so many different moving parts in terms of personnel but that guy's not a moving part.
Jamie Eisenberg
True. He's.
Dan Schneier
He's locked into what he does and.
Jamie Eisenberg
You could easer stat this confirm in another day. But I believe my bet would be he has scored the most points per game with Brock Purdy versus any quarterback in his career would be my guess.
Adam Mazer
Yeah, that could be.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's the best. The quarterback he's had the best report with.
Adam Mazer
Okay, so Kittle goes with the first pick of round four then Terry McLaurin, Ken Walker. Let's see where Joe Mixon goes because he's still on the board. I would have taken him at this, at this point before the Chubb signed.
Jamie Eisenberg
Very scared of Joe Mixon this year.
Adam Mazer
Oh yeah, you don't like, you don't like the Chubb signing.
Jamie Eisenberg
I just think you look back at his whole season, Joe Mix and he had the four. I think this was a fantasy points data stat or no established a run. He had the fourth most opportunities when healthy last year that often, you know he was a volume based fantasy play. Is, is the volume going to drop off at all with Nick Chubb? Because if it does then what is he, is he going to lose some of the red zone touches then what is he for fantasy at that point? So it's just a matter of if he's in any kind of timeshare at all. I don't, I think you're just, you're losing that. He's just nowhere near worth this price point.
Adam Mazer
Kittle, McLaurin, Ken Walker, Mike Evans. I think the argument against that would be Mixon was what like RB8 last year per game? Something like that. And you're talking about him going probably he's RB 10 in PPR be 9 and a half and none probably is like RB 17 ish or something like that. I don't want to take a quick count. Tell me how many are off the board. He could still lose Value and. And still be like, you know, RB4. He could still lose touches and be RB14 or something like that. But I understand what you're saying. He.
Jamie Eisenberg
If he keeps the red zone work. It kind of just depends on Chubb because Chubb was really bad last year. I think he was like 3.3 yards per carry.
Adam Mazer
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
Bottom barrel when it came to yards after contact per attempt and forced miss tackle. Dead last yards after the contact. Third worst force miss tackle rate in the NFL. If that's the version of Chubb, then, yeah, mixing's a great value. I just think we'll get a better version of Chubb.
Adam Mazer
Well, he's still on the board. All right, so good running backs here in round four. Kittle McLaurin, Ken Walker, Mike Evans, Bree Hall. Jalen hurts our fourth quarterback off the board. Chuba Hubbard. Joe Burrow. So that is five quarterbacks now, and we are just past the midway point of round four. Omarion Hampton. He's off the board before Joe Mixon and Alvin Camara. Jamie, what do you think of Marion Hampton?
Dan Schneier
I think it's too soon. But if you have again, I'll keep using this word, conviction that he's going to be the best running back for the Chargers and completely distanced himself from where Naji Harris could be. Then you draft him here.
Adam Mazer
I gotta say. So this is team four. Justin Jefferson, Bucky Irving, Garrett Wilson, Omarion Hampton. I think this is my least favorite team. I'm not a big fan. Upside though, Team three. Yeah. I could see this team being great.
Dan Schneier
Team four.
Adam Mazer
No, I know. I'm not a huge fan of Team 3. I don't love the DJ Moore pick they just made, but Team 4, Jefferson Irving, Garrett Wilson, Omarion Hampton. I could see it being great. Like, I really. I can't say you're doing a bad job.
Jamie Eisenberg
There's also more risk in on that team than I think any team by far.
Adam Mazer
Right.
Jamie Eisenberg
Jefferson with a new quarterback that we could, but we're not totally sure of. We said that last year about Jefferson, but I think Darnold has a higher ceiling personally than McCarthy as a passer by a lot. And then we have Jefferson. I'm sorry, As a passer, Jefferson was wide. McCarthy is an athlete. We'll see what happens with him. As a passer. He did not look great, in my opinion, evaluating him coming out of Michigan as a passer.
Adam Mazer
Jefferson was wide receiver six last season per game, he only had a. Darnold.
Jamie Eisenberg
Was pretty damn good.
Adam Mazer
Yeah, right. And they threw like 35 touchdowns last year. And he only had 153 targets in 17 games, which is great, but we're used to seeing him have like 180, 190 kind of target pace.
Jamie Eisenberg
Those days are over. With Addison, maybe.
Adam Mazer
With Addison and Hawkinson, maybe. We'll see, but it's possible. All right, so after Hampton, we get D.J. moore. We got a little wide receiver run here. D.J. moore, Cortland Sutton, D.K. metcalf. So that is the end of round four. The last six picks of round four were Hubbard, Burrow, Hampton, D.J. moore, Sutton, Metcalf. Sam Laporta is pick 49. He is the first pick of round five. Thomas, go ahead. Whenever you want to continue the draft, feel free. Devonte Smith is the second pick of round five, and we are on the clock with the third pick here. All right, I don't know how you guys feel about this team. I said I didn't love it. So it's. This is team three. Bijan Robinson, McConkey Higgins, DJ Moore, David Montgomery. You like this team?
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Mazer
Yeah. You liked it? Yeah. Okay.
Dan Schneier
I don't, I don't love the. The more Montgomery picks, per se, because I think there were some other players on the board that I would have taken.
Adam Mazer
Right.
Dan Schneier
I love the build.
Adam Mazer
Like Joe Mixon and Alvin Camara just went after Montgomery.
Dan Schneier
Yeah. I mean, but again, this is now the tier of these guys that you're talking about. So, you know, if you wanted to gamble on Camara and the receptions, awesome. You wanted to gamble on mixing, you know, not worry about the Nick job, then great. But this is tier running backs that we're in. It's also the Trayvon Henderson, RJ Harvey tier, too.
Adam Mazer
And David Montgomery was in full PPR, the number 11 running back per game in his first 14 games before he's solid.
Dan Schneier
There's nothing wrong with him.
Adam Mazer
I just, just ahead of mixing. And Camara is surprising.
Dan Schneier
Right. And a little, little worried that he's still too touchdown dependent. I know he was doing a better job catching the ball than Gibbs last year when they were healthy, but I don't buy that fully.
Adam Mazer
All right, so let's take a look at round five. Sam Laporta. Oh, you know what? Let's take a look at a commercial break now. We'll wait. We'll wait a second. Late commercial breaks today, Sam.
Dan Schneier
Receiver that hasn't been drafted. That is now he went, oh, Xavier Worthy.
Adam Mazer
Okay. Yeah, I, I'm having trouble, like, thinking about who's available. I don't have a queue in front of me or rankings or anything, but. All right, LaPorta, Devonte Smith. Then we get three straight running backs in round five. David Montgomery, Joe Mixon, Alvin Camara. We get Jameson Williams, RJ Harvey, Zay Flowers, Jalen Waddle, Xavier Worthy, Patrick Mahomes, QB6, and we are waiting for the last pick of round five. Jamie, are there any picks in round five that stand out from a good or bad perspective? LaPorta, Devonte Smith, David Montgomery, Mixon Camara, Jameson Williams, RJ Harvey, Flowers, Waddle, Worthy.
Dan Schneier
Mahomes that I didn't like or liked.
Adam Mazer
Either way, like really good or really bad.
Dan Schneier
Didn't like Laporta there did not like the Smith, Williams, Flowers, Waddle selections over Worthy. And so like, they're fine. They're just not my favorites.
Adam Mazer
So he was, La Porta was the first pick of round five. Where are you comfortable taking Laporta?
Dan Schneier
Oh, I mean, I, I said this when we were talking about like, round six for me is the time I start to look for him. I, I'm concerned. I mean, look, he got off to a slow start last year. He's still touchdown dependent. We have a coordinator change. I don't think golf's gonna throw for as many touchdowns. You know, it's, there's, I, I think a pretty big teardrop after the first three tight ends and LaPorta's my, my 10 and 4, but like, should go probably two rounds later, if not more.
Adam Mazer
We've had a lot of 28 receivers off the board through five rounds.
Dan Schneier
I love team 10, by the way.
Adam Mazer
All right, let's take a quick look at team 10 and then we'll take a break. Thomas, if you want to pause the draft, it's Nico Collins. Okay, just one more time. This is a two wide receiver league, full ppr, Nico Collins, Drake London, Jaden Daniels in round three, Ken Walker in round four, Xavier Worthy in round five. Yeah, I think it's great. My only question is, you know, you would have taken either a. Chan or A.J. brown over Drake London in round two, right? Yeah.
Dan Schneier
Again, you know, not necessarily, you know, love all the picks in the order that he's made them or the managers made them, but I think the, the build is fantastic. You know, I, I, I personally would not have probably taken a quarterback in round three. But the way, again, you know, when you look back on it, it's, it's working out perfectly fine and has a chance now to get a very solid number two running back, in my opinion, with a lot of upside in Henderson if he wants to.
Adam Mazer
Oh, yeah, actually, Thomas, why don't we do that? Why don't we unpause the draft and let Elijah who has again, Nico London Daniels, Ken Walker, Xavier Worthy. Let's see who he picks in round six. The last three picks to end round five and begin round six were Pickens, Godwin and Travis Hunter. Dan, I love that Travis Hunter value there.
Jamie Eisenberg
Me too.
Adam Mazer
And the Chris Godwin, I mean Chris Godwin was the number three receiver in fantasy last year before he got hurt. So first pick of round six seems like a good time to take a chance. All right, so let's see. Yeah, I mean Henderson, you got, you got some rookies still left on the board. Are there any other veteran James Connors available here could go that route? So this is a team that has one running back so far does not have a tight end. It's three receivers and a quarterback. Oh, Pacheco. All right. All right. I'm curious to see if any of the like starting running backs like Connor Judkins just went. Caleb Johnson makes it back. I doubt it. To the 10th pick of round seven where Eliza just picked Pacheco. Let's see, like maybe Pacheco may have made it back to that point. Anyway, we're going to take a break and come back and wrap up the rest of this draft. We'll be right back on FFT this.

Dan Schneier
I.
Adam Mazer
Was trying to make a point there about that. Pacheco pick three picks into round six for a guy who just took his second running back is Ken Walker in round four and Pacheco in round six. So the next two picks were Judkins and Connor and that's where we're at. So right now we're in the middle of round six. So this manager, Elijah has the 10th pick of round seven. And if you're sitting there like Judkins is not going to make it back to you there. Connor's not going to make it back to you there. Travion Henderson, who's still on the board is not going to make it back to you there. It's possible that Isaiah Pacheco could just based on adp, ADP says he would make it back to you with the 10th pick of round seven. Aaron Jones maybe makes it back there. So just something to think about. We'll see how this plays out. Travion Henderson is the next pick. So that's a run of four straight running backs. Dan, I, I don't think, I don't know if you've given your thoughts on Pacheco. You know he was a second round pick last year, maybe early third. What do you think about him in the sixth round?
Jamie Eisenberg
I find him really difficult to rank this year. I was just thinking about what he offers. He's going to be more of the player he was before the injury, which is big because he was an explosive threat for the Chiefs and that was a big reason why he earned the role he did two years ago. But I just, and we've talked about this on the show before, I just don't think Cream Hunt goes away. I know there's always talk on the show like, oh, Kareem Hunt is who you're bringing up. Somebody who looked like he did aesthetically to us when we watched him, but doesn't really matter if he was the same explosive Hunt he was. The Chiefs trusted him in the role that they used him in and that was a big role. I don't really see any real reason why that role will significantly drop off this year. And that role had a lot of play in the red zone. That's what scares me too. So the upside with Pacheco becomes this big play threat. Maybe someone who can carve out more of a role in the passing game. Though I don't really see that happening if Rashid Rice is on the field and Xavier Worthy and Marquis Brown. So I just, I, I just don't know where the upside is with, with Pacheco. Unless of course, he does take that rollback.
Adam Mazer
All right, so after Godwin and Travis Hunter, we have Pacheco, Judkins, Connor Henderson. Four running backs in a row in round six.
Jamie Eisenberg
Connor's great value that late.
Adam Mazer
Travis Kelsey is the fourth, fifth tight end, pardon me, fifth tight end off the board. And he Goes in the middle of round six. Too early. Jamie for Kelsey.
Dan Schneier
Yes.
Adam Mazer
Who's your tight end? 5 Nijoku Jordan, Addison, Teteroa McMillan, Baker Mayfield. That's QB7, Jerry Judy and Tony Pollard. So. So this team. That's the end of round six. Around six. Yeah. So this team. Team two Darth Twerk in a full PPR league. We talked about it. They didn't they with their first three picks. Barkley, Jacobs, Lamar Jackson. So how'd they do it? Wide receiver Cortland Sutton, Devonte Smith, Jerry Judy. Those were their next three picks. How do you feel about it? Did they pull it off?
Dan Schneier
I like the Sutton pick. I don't like the Smith pick. I love the Judy pick. So if that had been worthy there and it was Sutton worthy, Judy, I would have liked it a lot better.
Adam Mazer
Okay.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think it's going to be a struggle all year at receiver for this team. To be honest. There's not a lot of consistency there. Even Devonte Smith, who I do like probably a little bit more than Jamie, very inconsistent fantasy player. Sutton, I guess it provides some level consistency, but not compared to the rest of the, like the top end wide receiver ones he's going to be going against each week.
Dan Schneier
When you go about the build and how they started. So if you're going to commit to two running backs with your picks and then go quarterback. So again you're passing up like if that was Barkley, Jacobs, Higgins, my gosh, like could be studly, right?
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
Not that Lamar Jackson's bad player obviously, but if you go receiver there and you're solidifying that spot a little bit more. But I think what you're looking for is, you know, the high upside plays. And so Sutton, you know, assuming everything is sort of status quo, he's going to be eight to 10 touchdowns, he's going to be, you know, around a thousand yards receiving, he's going to probably be 75 catches. Right. So a solid start there and then Smith wild card. Right. He's, you know what you're getting if everybody's healthy. If Brown or Goddard misses time, he could be top 10 wide receiver. And Judy showed us huge upside as well. So I don't mind the, the swings, you know, in terms of what the start was, but you got to make sure a Barkley and Jacobs are doing what they did a year ago. If not, I don't think better, but doing what they did a year ago and, and Lamar is still Lamar because, you know, you're taking a huge hit at that position where you're in this case hoping to start three of those guys.
Adam Mazer
Tony Pollard was the last pick of round six and he played nine games with Tajie Spears playing a normal snap share and was only on pace for 236 carries in those nine games. I always do point that out. It was a not an even split by any means but Pollard really erupted when Spears either left the game early with an injury or missed time in that in those games he was pace for 328 carries.
Dan Schneier
So anything wrong with going back to back Titans picks?
Adam Mazer
Yeah, that's another risk I think. Pollard and then Calvin ridley at the six seven turn. So we're into round seven. We get T.J. hawkinson and Johnny Smith. That is seven tight ends off the board and David Najoku is not one of them. Romo Dunes a Chris Olave. All right, so here's. Remember that guy who picked Pacheco? Here's three running backs that went off the board just before his seventh pick. Aaron Jones, DeAndre Swift, Caleb Johnson. Who's the next running back again I don't have rankings or cute or like we don't have a starting running back like maybe Tyrone Tracy.
Dan Schneier
We don't have Brian Robinson or Tracy.
Adam Mazer
Yeah, so I think taking Pacheco there, I, he may have made it back to you but I can't say it's a bad pick. I mean you could quibble about the order But Aaron Jones, DeAndre Swift, Caleb Johnson, they're all off the board. Bo Nix was drafted as QB8 and then. All right, all right, we got, we get rid. Look at this round of wide receivers, right? We get Ridley, Odunze, Olave, Khalil, Shakir Jacoby, Myers. Shakir going with the 10th pick. Myers the 11th pick of round seven. We are waiting for the 12th pick here. When you see these wide receivers, this group Dan and Cooper cup just went. So it's six wide receivers in this round. Ridley, Odunze, Olave, Shakir, Myers Cup. What does this mean to you in the, in the grand scheme of things and how we're drafting?
Jamie Eisenberg
We're at that edge right here. I mean it seems to be that fall off point where you have to plant your flag on some of these players and there are some players I would plant my flag on. The ones you just mentioned. Romo Dun, almost no receiver last year had worse quarterback play for his specific targets than Romo Dun. That should improve in that system. He should be improved as well. I love them as a prospect. I like this pick a lot. Calvin Ridley. I Feel like is a steal at this part of this draft. Already building a nice rapport with Cam Report Cam Warden camp. I feel like he's going to be the only guy you're going to get in this range with the chance for125,130 plus targets. And so it's pick your poison because there's guys in here that I don't see the value on as well. Some of the guys you mentioned, Jacoby, Myers, not a big fan of him at his cost. So it just comes down to who you like at this point with that position. But it's a good indicator that you probably shouldn't be leaving your drafts without receivers in your first three rounds. This is something Jamie's talked about ideally. I think you said Jamie, ideally for you, you would like to leave the draft with two, your first receiver and two receivers on your first three picks. Is that correct? Did you say that?
Dan Schneier
Yeah. And again, it depends on where you pick, you know. So as you see sort of with this draft, if you're early in round one, I think you're looking for receivers probably, I guess, depends on what you do in the first round. But you know, you see guys like McConkey and Higgins and yeah, you know, JSN, those guys, you know, you're getting them in some cases in round three. In the back end of round one, you can easily go receiver, receiver to start your team. But it's. You get like, just look at the running backs by comparison to the round you just read off, you had Swift, Caleb Johnson, Aaron Jones. That's how I would rank them, like those. Those are pretty great values.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Mazer
Yeah. And I think with that, with those picks of Joe, it went in this order. Jones, Swift, Caleb Johnson. Jamie ranks at Swift, Caleb Johnson, Aaron Jones. Now we might, it might be a little while before we get a running back, right? We've got seven picks off the board. No more running backs. Because as Jamie mentioned, Tyrone Tracy, Brian Robinson, I think Jalen Warren's probably in this range in the rankings. It's not as appealing. So we get Shakir, Jacoby Myers and Cooper cup to end round seven. Debo Samuel, Brandon Ayuk. Friends forever. Teammates no more David Najoku. So with team 10 is a team that we liked a lot with Nico Drake, London, Jaden Daniels, Ken Walker, Xavier Worthy, Isaiah Pacheco, Khalil, Shakir. And then gets Jamie's fifth tight end, David Najoku in the eighth round as I think the eighth tight end off the board. Look at this 49ers or former 49ers. Run. Debo Samuel, Brandon, Ayuk David and Joku. Juwan Jennings. Those are the first four picks of the round. Stefan Diggs. And if you all remember, we talked about best mid round picks. A few like last week or a couple weeks ago, the Lions were a team that over the last three years have produced great mid round picks, mid round values and late round values. The 49ers are a team that always do it. So taking Juwan Jennings here, I don't know about IU chicken Duan Jennings here, that's not a bad idea. We get two commanders in this range. We get Debo Samuel and Brian Robinson just went. Stefan Diggs just went before Robinson. I've gone a little out of order, so let me slow myself down and read round eight. Here we go. Debo, Iuk, Nijoku, Jennings, Diggs, Brian Robinson, Tyrone Tracy, Jalen Warren, Dan. Give me a. Give me a. You. You wrote the outlooks for the NFC East. So who do you like better, Brian Robinson or Tyrone? Tracy.
Jamie Eisenberg
It's Tracy by far for me.
Dan Schneier
Ask that question.
Adam Mazer
No, because he's a scatter boozer. He likes scatter boo.
Jamie Eisenberg
It's not just because he's a giant. I mean, we went over this on the NFD east outlook episode.
Adam Mazer
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
Brian Robinson was bought outside the top 45 in targets per game and full PPR format. He's just not getting the football as a receiver. I don't know. And then it's just like, is he going to score touchdowns for you? That's going to define his week in this format. I wouldn't use picks on players like that in this range of the draft in this format. Tracy at least has in this range.
Adam Mazer
Like this range of the draft doesn't seem too late. Like round eight.
Jamie Eisenberg
Debate we had last year. I just don't value these types of players in fantasy, specifically in PPR leagues. They're very touchdown dependent.
Dan Schneier
Love Team 7.
Adam Mazer
You love the team that drafted Brian Robinson?
Dan Schneier
Yes. I mean, forget about again, the player, but like that build is. And. And the way that it worked out to get Swift and. And Robinson again. Whatever you think of Robinson, that's his fourth running back.
Adam Mazer
All right, well, timeout. So let's.
Jamie Eisenberg
I love team 11. That's my build.
Adam Mazer
All right, let's talk about team 7. So Jamie loves team 7. Don't hurts me is his team name. And he went out and drafted Jalen Hurts. So good for you. Malik Neighbors, A.J. brown, Rasheed Rice. Jalen Hurts. And then four straight running backs R.J. harvey, Travion Henderson, and I think from our standpoint, if you're gonna go like almost zero RB and wait until round five to get a running back and you end up with RJ Harvey and Travion Henderson, we are going to love that in a 12 team league. And then DeAndre Swift. Yeah, terrific. So then he took Brian Robinson. Did he have to take Robinson there or should he have gone with a tight end like Mark Andrews went.
Dan Schneier
I mean, could, could have, sure. You know, if, if you don't love that. But look, there's clearly some uncertainty with the first two guys. I mean, not the first, all four guys that he drafted. You know, Harvey could get J.K. dobbins and you know, potentially be ruined. Henderson's still going to share with Ramandre Stevenson. And by the way there, if you think the Patriots gonna win more games, the splits between Ramandre and wins and losses were dramatic, so.
Adam Mazer
True.
Dan Schneier
Stevenson may still have a pretty big role, especially if they're leaning on him as a workhorse or, you know, about a workhorse from a carry standpoint. Swift, you know, just go listen to anything he says about DeAndre Swift and what he could be for the Chicago Bears, you know, so there's, there's ups and downs for, for both, for all four of those guys, as Dan just alluded to with Robinson. But I mean, if his three receivers stay healthy, find a better receiving trio in this league.
Adam Mazer
No, no, it doesn't exist.
Dan Schneier
Right.
Adam Mazer
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
And top five quarterback, maybe Nico London.
Adam Mazer
And Xavier Worthy if everything breaks right. But.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, but that's a, that's a bigger ass.
Adam Mazer
Well, I mean, look, he better have the best receivers. He took three with his. He was the only team that took three with his first three picks.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, but there's a reason why I.
Adam Mazer
I think it's a great team. I guess if I'm just throwing my two cents in, I would have taken Ricky Pierce all over Brian Robinson Jr. Dead fine. I think you have more upside there. And I, and I don't think that if you took three receivers with your first three picks. We know how fantasy football works, especially with Rasheed Rice coming back from an injury. Like there's a chance, there's a decent chance one of those three picks is going to be a bust. I don't, don't just sit there and go, okay, I'm done at receiver, you know?
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I think if you're, if you're playing this out right now and how the, the next round is unfolding, if he would have taken or manager would have taken Pierce. All there or wherever your favorite fourth receiver is. And we see both packers guys go next in terms of Jaden Reed and Matthew Golden. So all three suitable, you know, high upside type of players. That could be fantastic. Then this round's a good time to maybe handcuff whoever you take with the other. Like the guys that come to mind to me, like this is a good spot for a Mondre Stevenson. Okay. Got the Patriots backfill locked up. Don't have to worry about whoever the guy is there. You have potentially J.K. dobbins, if he signs with the Broncos, could have taken him there. So instead of Robinson, at least you're locking up a backfield. That's not a bad strategy for me.
Adam Mazer
All right, so after Brian Robinson, Tyrone Tracy went in the middle of round eight. Is that eight or seven? Eight. Sorry. We got Jalen Warren, we got Mark Andrews, Ricky Piersol, Jaden Reed, Kyler Murray. Onto round nine, Najee Harris, Travis etn, Cam, Scatter Boo, Matthew Golden, Josh Downs, Darnell Mooney. I don't really know that I have super strong feelings on, on any of these picks. Scatter Boo going what, eight or nine picks after Tyrone Tracy is kind of interesting.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think I would, I would say downs to me stands out the most. Downs with a full season and I don't know, we'll see what happens with Anthony Richardson. Injury of Jones could be like 125, 135 target type player or more. Just look at what Wandell Robinson did from a target standpoint with Jones. Just constant check down. Just constant. Take the easy solution. And downs is going to be that easy solution for the Colts.
Adam Mazer
That's a pretty good point for full PPR too. I didn't remember that. Geez. 12, 4, 8, 14, 9, 11, 9, 5, 4, 8. Those are Wando Robinson's targets with Daniel Jones last year.
Jamie Eisenberg
It's crazy.
Adam Mazer
My goodness. And Malik Neighbors played about half those games. Okay, so Naji Harris, Travis Etien, Cam Scatterboo, Matthew Golden, Josh Downs, Darnell Mooney, Tyler Warren, Evan Ingram. Back to back picks. Jamie. The last three tight ends off the board are Andrews, Warren Ingram. How do you rank them?
Dan Schneier
Right now it's Andrews, Ingram, Warren. I'm torn between Ingram and Andrews in this format. I do think Andrews will get more targets. How much more? We'll see. You know, it's hard to buy into Andrews after what we saw last year with the targets going away, becoming some touchdown dependent. And then you're hearing Harbaugh say that they want Isaiah likely to be an all pro, you know, so where, where does the disconnect come in with Mark Andrews, who they seem so reluctant to trade, whether they didn't they got any offers or not. But he still historically has been such a big factor for Lamar Jackson in all facets of the game. Last year again just sort of morphed into more of a red zone role for Ingram. Look, the. The history of Sean Payton with his tight ends is so all over the map because when he's had an elite level talent in Jimmy Graham, he used him. When he had a good pass catching tight end in Jeremy Chocky, he used him. Is Evan Ingram closer to Shocky? I would say it's probably fair. Is he closer to Jimmy Graham? I don't think that's a fair comp. Is he better than, you know, Juwan Johnson and Adam Troutman and the guys that he's had the last two years in Denver? By far, yeah. So with the way Bo Nix plays and how he, you know, is going to probably lean on him, I would guess as the second option in the passing game. There's a lot to like about Evan Ingram, especially in the format.
Jamie Eisenberg
I agree with all that. I think when you get to this point in the draft in fantasy football, it's a lot about opportunity. Sorry, go ahead.
Adam Mazer
No, I just. You agreed with.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, it was a great take on Ingram, honestly.
Adam Mazer
Yeah, it was an amazing take.
Jamie Eisenberg
It was, yeah. And I'm going to potentially move Ingram up the board because of it. With that said, when you get to this stage of the draft, to me it's all about opportunity cost. In fantasy football, the opportunity cost of losing out on one of these receivers or running backs is very, very low at this point. But this was the range we found Brock Bowers in last year. So player like Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland in this range, I think are slam dunk, the best pick in this, you know, some of the best picks you can make in this draft because you're trying to win your fantasy league. And those are two of the guys that actually give you a chance to do like Bowers did last year. So you'll see me with a ton of Warren and a ton of Loveland in the drafts we do this summer. Because when I get to this range of the draft, that's what I'm looking for, somebody who can potentially break my league open and potentially win me my league like Bowers did for the teams where I got him last year. And I'm not scared to miss out on These backs and receivers.
Dan Schneier
So I agree with what you said about Loveland. I hate the Loveland pick for that team though, because you have two running backs on this roster. You've now taken a second tight end on this roster after going Dave Najoku the round before. And then you look at the next pick and everything you said about league winning type potential, like, to me, this is on that team in particular, I'm taking. And I don't know if you want to take Charbonnet just to lock up the Seahawks backfield, but I'm looking at like Jordan Mason. I'm looking at Isaac Garendo like, okay, you've already taken your tight end. Yes. Loveland can completely shatter what his expectations are and be the next Brock Bowers. I don't have those expectations for him, but me, you know, based on his draft pedigree. But looking at this roster build like, you've got three awesome receivers. You got one of the best quarterbacks. You've already taken a guy in the Joku who, whether you think he's top five like I do, or you think he's top 10, like, you're probably not benching him unless things go completely awful or loved ones better. But like you could have taken one of these lottery ticket running backs here to fortify that position and the depth on your team. And you don't need like, you're never going to start leveling if Najoka's doing what he's capable of doing.
Adam Mazer
All right, let me ask you guys.
Jamie Eisenberg
Willow, if he breaks out though, it's like he got to.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, but I think just looking at like these running backs that are still available for your build, like, right, the second tight end doesn't make sense to me when you have the, the running backs that you could still use to help you.
Adam Mazer
Yeah. All right, so. So let me ask you a question here. I'm pausing the draft, so catch up. Round nine Naji ETN Scatterboo, Matthew Golden, Josh Downs, Darnell Mooney, Tyler Warren, Evan Ingram, Javante Williams, Colston Loveland, Zach Charbonnet and Dalton Kincaid. We had four tight ends here. Now we're talking about Team 10, who has Jaden Daniels, Ken Walker and Isaiah Pacheco, Nico Collins, Drake London, Xavier Worthy at flex, David Najoku at tight end. It's just a terrific team. Khalil Shakir on the bench, and then this team took Colston Loveland and that's what Jamie's saying. Like, why are you taking Colson Loveland when you have David Najoku and you only have two running backs. So if you're, if you are on the clock and you only have two running backs, Ken Walker and Isaiah Pacheco and you're in round nine now Javante Williams just went with the pick before you, so I don't know that there's a chance of your, your getting the starting running back for any NFL team at this point. But like what do you do? So you have Walker and Pacheco. Do you take Zach Charbonnet and as your third running back or do you take Tajie Spears and get a player from a different team? That's a high upside handcuff. You know, it's, it's, I think it's easier to take Charbonnet if he's your fourth running back and you want to handcuff Ken Walker as your third running back. What's your philosophy there, Jamie? You have Walker and Pacheco. Who do you take?
Dan Schneier
And this ties in two philosophies because of where he's picking or where the manager is picking. Excuse me. So you're looking at it and when you get to this point in the draft, I'm checking the two teams behind me and what they have and they have the exact same running back depth chart. Both only have two running backs. So now I'm going to prioritize what do I think is the best for my team. And so in this range of guys, the two that went off the board, Charbonnet and Spears and then the next two, I don't know exactly how I have it ranked, are Isaac Arando and Jordan Mason. So if I have a strong feeling on any of those guys while the McCaffrey manager is after me, I probably would take a rando and hope that one of those other guys comes back to me and that's the way I would play it. So I would look at, okay, the Genti manager, the Henry manager, they may be looking at running backs. The McCaffrey manager, the Cook manager. Like to me I would say okay, if I like if I'm worried about McCaffrey, I don't know if he's going to make it through a full season. Garendo could be a league winner. I'm taking Garendo and then like you said, maybe Charbonnet comes back and that's the guy I would take. Maybe it's Spears. The way that it played out, both Garendo and Jordan Mason are still available. So like if I would have taken Garendo instead of Loveland and came back and then It's Jordan Mason. Like, I love that. Absolutely love that.
Adam Mazer
I just. I feel nervous not having three running backs that I could start on any week. But look, that's how it works with. With this type of. If you are. I'm kind of risk averse just in life in general. Like, I'm the guy who, if they tell me that I have to catch at softball, I'm like, okay, where's the mask? And like, no one else in the.
Dan Schneier
Oh, how'd it go?
Adam Mazer
We split the double header and I got one hit and zero errors. So.
Dan Schneier
Hey, there we go.
Adam Mazer
Double.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's almost double. Yeah, that is double the hits you've had this season.
Dan Schneier
Nice.
Adam Mazer
I didn't have half of a hit. You mean I've doubled it? Okay. Yeah. Now I'm up to two.
Jamie Eisenberg
Well, that's all right.
Adam Mazer
But like. Yeah, like. Like team 12. Team 12 has now made 10 picks and he has two. He or she. His name is Danny. So again, two tight ends, his five wide receivers. Two tight ends. You just picked Jared Goff as his quarterback and two running backs, Christian McCaffrey and James Cook. I think it's overkill. Like, you only have to start two wide receivers in this league. You can only start three wide receivers at most. Why do you have five wide receivers and two running backs? And two.
Dan Schneier
I don't mind that, though.
Adam Mazer
I do.
Dan Schneier
If. If it would have been two. Two running backs here.
Adam Mazer
Okay. Yeah.
Dan Schneier
Is a waste to me.
Adam Mazer
Yeah. He picked Kincaid as his second tight end. He has Kittle. And then he picked golf.
Dan Schneier
Yeah. Love, love the upside of Kincaid, but don't need Kincaid.
Adam Mazer
You don't need golf there either.
Dan Schneier
This, this would have been a Spears, Mason, definitely Garando pick for me.
Adam Mazer
All right, we can unpause the draft now as we are into round 10. I don't know that we're going to get to all 13 rounds on.
Dan Schneier
I'll tell you, at the end, I had. I had one of the most difficult managerial decisions I had to make ever coaching a baseball team. And parents were not happy with me.
Jamie Eisenberg
Let's hear it.
Dan Schneier
It was. Yeah. Big all star game.
Adam Mazer
Okay. Okay, say that. We'll say that for the end. Jared Goff. Taijay Spears. Jordan Mason. So that team that had Ken Walker and Pacheco did take Jordan Mason. Justin Herbert, Keon Coleman. Well, I like that pick.
Dan Schneier
Me too.
Adam Mazer
Ameca Abuka. And we are on the clock waiting for team six. We'll take a look at team six here. We haven't talked about team six. Jameer Gibbs, Josh Allen, Devonte Adams, Chuba Hubbard, Jameson Williams, Travis Kelsey, Aaron Jones, Tyrone Tracy, Darnell Mooney. I do not like this team. I think this is my least favorite team. Sorry to team six. So it starts Josh Allen. This is the starting lineup. Josh Allen, Jameer Gibbs, Chuba Hubbard, Devonte Adams, Jameson Williams, Travis Kelsey, and then probably Aaron Jones at flex with Tyrone Tracy and Darnell Mooney on the bench. Am I wrong here for not for not liking this team?
Jamie Eisenberg
No, I'm with you on this one. It's, it's, it's tough to like, I don't, I mean, the firepower, I guess comes with Gibbs. You went quarterback super early, which is a tough build for me in any one quarterback league. So it's hard for me to come around.
Dan Schneier
I think the thing that you're, you know, this is one of those teams that like could easily, with the right one or two waiver wire moves be excellent if the, the top of the draft comes through as you expect. Like every, every player is probably going to be where their ADP is. You know, Gibbs going to be middle around one, Allen's probably going to be around two. ADP, Adam's almost certainly going to be around 380p, Hubbard around 40p. Like you're kind of just taking best player available in my opinion. You know how it's all sort of fallen. The Williams pick may have been a little bit too soon, but that's fine. And then it starts to get a little bit scary for me with Kelsey and Jones and Tracy just because there's, you know, age concerns and, you know, position concerns there. But I like the Mooney pick and so it gives you a little bit more options at receivers. Just, it doesn't feel like there's a number one receiver, which I always don't love.
Adam Mazer
Yeah, right. You know, Devonte Adams is your number one receiver. Jameson Williams in PPR, he had like, he was on pace for like 100 targets last year. So I know they keep talking him up, but he's just not going to be a high catch guy. And then Kelsey in round six. I think basically when you, when you draft a team. Now listen, I'm sitting here telling you I don't like it. It just so happens that this team picks some players that I personally don't like. Doesn't mean I'm right. So everything take with a grain of salt. But when you draft a team, if you go, well, if everything goes right, this team's going to be good. Like, that's just kind of how I feel like it's got a lot of downside and if everybody hits their upside, then you did great. But there's too much risk. So try not to draft teams I think that have just too much risk where you have to make the upside case for every player you draft, basically. All right, sorry. Let's go. Let's tell you round 10. It was Jared Goff, Tajie Spears, Jordan Mason, Justin Herbert, Keon Coleman, Ameka Abuka, and then Jalen McMillan. Back to back Bucks wide receivers there, Ramondre Stevenson, Caleb Williams, Tucker Craft, second tight end for that team. Is there anything that doesn't have a tight end? Yes, team. So team 11, like drafted pretty well, but unfortunately a lot of teams doubled up on tight end. So that's going to make it even harder for team 11 to get a tight end at once. Tucker, Craft, Brock Purdy, Dak, Prescott. We had four quarterbacks come off the board in round 10 and you're still talking about Brock, Purdy, Dak Prescott. Oh, five quarterbacks. I'm sorry. Golf Herbert, Caleb Purdy, Prescott. If you like those names, you should wait at quarterback. Jaden Higgins, potential number two three wide receiver for Houston. Now the rookie, which is interesting, I would say a mistake.
Dan Schneier
You I would rather have Kirk, but you know, again, the upside could favor Higgins. It's not a surprise. One wouldn't be a surprise.
Adam Mazer
As it stands right now, Christian Kirk is looking like Dan to me, like great value because I keep seeing him going, you know, well after pick 100. I like Kirk. It's specifically in a full PPR league.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm with you on that. Full PPR still opportunity for him to be that. I don't want to say that the role that Del filled, but just that interior in breaking route runner that gets open and he was consistent with that when healthy in Jacksonville. So I like the value.
Adam Mazer
Right. 2022 and 2023 were really solid years for Christian Kirk. Even when they brought in Calvin Ridley last year, his adot was over 12 yards. Just a mistake. That's not how he should be used. Joey Wright says stop talking about Kirk. It's got to be number one in his queue. All right, we had Higgins, Higgins, then Kyle Pitts, then Michael Pittman, Rashad White, Isaac Arundo, Dallas Goddard, and then we're on the clock here with don't hurts me. Who has neighbors. A.J. brown, Rasheed Rice, Jalen Hurts, R.J. harvey, Trayvon Henderson, Deandre Swift, Brian Robinson, Tyler Warren, Mecca Abuka. We like this team. It's a fun team. Tyler Warren at tight ends, a Little risky, obviously. Oh, there's Christian Kirk. Sorry, Joey. I will finish off this round and then we'll hear about Jamie being a terrible coach.
Dan Schneier
No, no, no. Great coach.
Adam Mazer
Not according to the parents.
Dan Schneier
No, no, no. It worked out fantastic.
Adam Mazer
Okay.
Dan Schneier
They didn't understand the moves.
Adam Mazer
All right, this team, team 8 is Aman Ross, St. Brown, Devon HN, Marvin Harrison, Breece Hall, Zay Flowers, James Conner. This is a team that took three receivers and two and three running backs with its first six picks. Then Bo Nix, Stefan Diggs, Evan Ingram, Keon Coleman and Justin Fields to back up Bo Nix.
Dan Schneier
I mean just absolutely. I don't love the Flowers pick. Not bad, but I just don't love it. Like again, I would have taken worthy. Like look at those next picks in order. Just crushed every honor.
Adam Mazer
Nicks Diggs, Ingram, Coleman Fields. Yeah, it's very good. Very good.
Dan Schneier
I love that.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Mazer
I even think, you know, getting Breece hall in round four is, is. He's just an afterthought at this point. It's crazy.
Dan Schneier
No, around 4 I think is where you should go.
Adam Mazer
Yeah, right. But just doesn't it feel like, I don't know, not. Not that much has changed for Breeze Hall? Depends how much you buy into. Hey, they're gonna use three running backs. Which team uses three running backs?
Dan Schneier
Well, it's not just that. It's the Justin Fields factor. I mean Fields is going to take away so much from him as a non pass catcher. And the rushing touchdowns like there that, that to me is the worst part of. Forget about what Aaron Glenn said like that. That's just one of those things like, hey, Kyron Williams is playing on punt returns. And what was the other one that was stupid last year?
Adam Mazer
Oh my God, the flip out on Twitter when Kyron Williams was returning puts.
Dan Schneier
Or kickoffs, whatever it was.
Adam Mazer
Yeah, yeah, whatever Kickoff.
Dan Schneier
There was another stupid one of somebody said something that, that people freaked out about. I don't remember. Anyway, he's. He's gonna use multiple running backs. Yes. To what extent? Who knows? It's not going to be three unless somebody gets injured. I think the one thing about this is, is that Justin Fields could crush Breeze Hall's upside. He could just be a trap.
Adam Mazer
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's. I mean, it's kind of like Anthony Richardson and Jonathan Taylor. But not as productive of a rusher, I guess.
Dan Schneier
Right.
Adam Mazer
Justin Fields, Rashid Shahid, Trent, Trey Harris, Hollywood Brown and Jaden Blue.
Dan Schneier
Wait a minute, there's a guy that hasn't gone yet.
Adam Mazer
Trevor Lawrence and Tank Bigsby. Just went. We're in round 12. Who?
Dan Schneier
Well, that's you. Just name one of the teams.
Adam Mazer
Dallas?
Dan Schneier
No. Jackson something. Where's Tutin?
Adam Mazer
He hasn't gone yet.
Dan Schneier
Oh, steal a draft.
Adam Mazer
I mean, Bigsby just went. ETN went in round nine. Bigsby around 12. Tutin goes right there. Round 12.
Dan Schneier
Okay, well again, look who did it.
Adam Mazer
Why, the best drafter in the world.
Dan Schneier
Yes.
Adam Mazer
All right, all right, that's it for today's show. You can follow the results@YouTube.com fantasy football today. You can see the draft board as it unfolded. All right, Jamie, so what happened?
Dan Schneier
So it's my 13 year old's all star team. We're representing the city of Boca raton. We're playing 14 districts. And the, the way that it works is you have to manage the pitch counts. It's a tournament, double elimination. So if we won last night, we play Wednesday. If we lost last night, we would have played Thursday. And then you're in the losers bracket, which takes you into Friday and Saturday. So you really got to manage the pitching. Okay, so our starting pitcher was absolutely dominant. His name is Joey Wagner. Congratulations to Joey on an absolute strong performance. Four and two thirds innings, 12 strikeouts, gave up two hits, one walk. They could not touch him.
Adam Mazer
Wow.
Dan Schneier
So he gets to his 65th pitch. He had already given, he had given up his second hit and walked about her. So he has two runners on and he can go up to 95 pitches. So I go out to the mound and we're agonizing over this, me and the other two coaches. Like, do we let him go the 95 and we win Wednesday, we go straight to the championship. He could play, he could pitch again Saturday if he gets, if I pull him at that point, then if we lose Wednesday, we play Friday. I could have him again for Friday, which would be the first game for us in the losers bracket. So I go out and I take him out with a 4 nothing lead. And I'm walking past, you know, back to the dugout and I hear the parents like, what, what are you doing? Like, he, he's, he's got it, they can't touch him. Like just crazy. And our next act comes in, gets.
Jamie Eisenberg
Us out of the ends, like chirping from the, from the sideline.
Adam Mazer
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
No, it's to the point where my wife is sitting there and you know, this is a team that's been thrown together for the last, in the last month. And she goes, you're getting a lot of hate over here. And so next kid comes in, gets us out of it, ends up, we get another base loaded situation, get into a baseload situation. He gets us out of it, gives up a run, come back, the next inning gets, not that the last inning, another base load situation. Another pitcher comes in. Because I got to keep this kid to 35 pitches or less because he's our starter on Wednesday. And that kid gets us out of it. So we win the game 4 1. So what the parents didn't understand was like, again, the pitch count situation. But they're like, you know, you see this kid, the way he's pitching, like, why would you give up the chance to have the win? And so that back and forth with the other coaches. And the best part of it for me was so the kid that came in second was the third baseman. So I go out to the mound and this was like the first time, you know, because, I mean, I've coached my kids since they're, you know, 4 and 5 years old, first time, like having a legitimate mound conversation with the kid that's coming in next. I look him in the eye, two runners on. I said, can you get us out of this? It says very confidently, yes, Coach, ball is yours. That's awesome. And he did.
Adam Mazer
That's great.
Dan Schneier
It was, you know, and then explained to him after. Explain to the parents after the game why it was, oh, okay, now I understand. You know, so like the, the kid's father, the Joey's father apparently said to. In front of my wife, she goes, I'm sure Jamie has a plan. I don't know what it is. I'm sure he has a plan. Wow. All right.
Jamie Eisenberg
So he got the.
Adam Mazer
I think I would have. I think I would have left him in and just gone straight to the window again.
Dan Schneier
We. We agonized over it because you don't want to think a losing mentality. Right. You want to think you're going Wednesday, you're going to win and advance Saturday. The last thing you want to do is not have this kid in a must win situation and you lose. Right?
Adam Mazer
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
Because I didn't cut off his pitch count. We had a lead. If we were one nothing game, two nothing game, there's no way I'm pulling him.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah. I think with four runs, you made the right call.
Dan Schneier
Four runs with. With two and two and a third left to go.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, Like, I actually like that. I think they should be applauding you after the fact, all the hate you were getting and the chirping.
Dan Schneier
If I'm sitting there and I don't know the rules.
Adam Mazer
Right.
Dan Schneier
And you see this kid is like, he could have. He had seven more outs to go. Like, he could have had 19 strikeouts. He was that. That dominant.
Adam Mazer
Wow. You don't know the rules. That's my Scream impression, Randy from Scream. Yeah. My movie Scream.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, the original, where they're in the.
Dan Schneier
But it was fun. Parents were great. You know, they very supportive and we appreciate it.
Adam Mazer
That's great, man. Congratulations. Yeah, but that's seen in the. In the video.
Jamie Eisenberg
I remember the screen.
Adam Mazer
Is it in the video Stories going over the rules of horror movies. This is like a hugely important scene here. You don't know the rules. And then he goes through all the people who can and can't be suspects because of this and that. Oh, geez.
Dan Schneier
That's in Scream 1, right?
Adam Mazer
Yeah. Iconic. Iconic scene.
Dan Schneier
And when does he die? In Scream 2.
Adam Mazer
I'm pretty sure in Scream 2. Maybe 3. I. Yeah, I lose track. Okay. Thanks very much to our participants. Appreciate it. Thanks to Thomas to. For running that draft. Great stuff. Fantasy Football Today: Live Mock Draft! 12 Teams, PPR, Fans-Only Mock (06/10 Fantasy Football Podcast)
Released on June 10, 2025
In this episode of Fantasy Football Today hosted by Adam Mazer, along with analysts Dan Schneier and Jamie Eisenberg, the team dives into an engaging live mock draft tailored for a 12-team, Points Per Reception (PPR) league exclusive to their fans. The session not only showcases real-time drafting but also delves deep into player evaluations, strategic decisions, and the dynamics of building a competitive fantasy team.
[00:37] Adam Mazer:
Adam welcomes listeners to the live mock draft, highlighting the interactive nature of the session. He encourages fans to join the draft live on YouTube and mentions the potential to have additional fantasy analysts participate.
[01:46] Jamie Eisenberg:
Jamie humorously shares a personal anecdote about a tennis match proposal among the hosts, adding a light-hearted touch before transitioning into the main draft discussion.
First Round Picks:
Jamar Chase
Saquon Barkley
Jamie defends Barkley's value despite some skepticism about his recent performance, emphasizing his upside and consistent athleticism.
Bijan Robinson
An early pick for his high rushing potential and role in a promising offense.
Justin Jefferson
Selected for his proven track record and high target rate.
CD Lamb
Jameer Gibbs
Key Discussions:
Saquon Barkley's Value:
Jamie Eisenberg argues for Barkley's potential, noting his increased role and the absence of Cooper Kupp factors.
[09:13] Jamie Eisenberg:
"I think you can kind of compete with him for it, but I'm not willing to put him over Barkley. So it's Barkley."
Bijan Robinson vs. Other Running Backs:
The debate centers around Robinson's expected performance compared to peers like Jonathan Taylor, with a focus on goal-line carries and touchdown opportunities.
[05:12] Dan Schneier:
"I think it's just something, you know, again, you're sort of nitpicking but you know, non PPR, Don. And the, Taylor's in consideration for first round pick."
As the draft progresses into the middle rounds, the hosts evaluate their strategies in balancing positions and maximizing value.
Key Picks:
Bucky Irving vs. Josh Jacobs and Jonathan Taylor:
The analysts debate the merits of Irving's upside against the reliability of Jacobs and Taylor.
[22:47] Jamie Eisenberg:
"It's neighbors for me, for certain, man."
Strategic Tight End Selection:
Discussion about the importance of selecting top tight ends early in a shallow league setup to gain positional advantage.
[17:44] Adam Mazer:
"It's not about league size, okay? I'm talking about roster size. I am talking about the percentage of total points because most tight ends are valuable compared to the other tight ends."
Notable Quotes:
Adam Mazer on Draft Strategy:
[17:44] "It's not about 10 team, 12 team, 14 team. It's about how many total points do we have on the team because the tight ends are mostly valuable compared to the other tight ends that that you're going up against on a weekly basis."
Jamie Eisenberg on Tight Ends in Draft:

Christian Kirk:
Highlighted as a valuable late-round pick due to his consistent performance and opportunity in the offense.
[68:22] Jamie Eisenberg:
"He was consistent with that when healthy in Jacksonville. So I like the value."

Final Thoughts:
Team 10 Evaluation:

[37:52] Dan Schneier:
"Again, you got Sutton, you know, assuming everything is sort of status quo, he's going to be eight to 10 touchdowns..."
