17Th overall. I took Ashton Genti in round one. This is a two receiver league with one flex. I do not want to have zero receivers at this point but the best players on the board are definitely not receivers. I am going to take Devon Hn. It is a risk but he is just too damn good. It's okay if he misses a game or two. It's not going to ruin my season.
Jamie
Having James prioritize Ali Gordon now.
Adam
I don't know. I mean, I guess if you don't, someone else will. Well, yeah, I mean prioritize. I don't know. I don't think Ollie Gordon is going to have some great season. But Jalen Wright hurt his leg yesterday. Dave, you were at the practice. Do you think for sure Ollie Gordon is second on the depth chart?
Dave
Yep. Because Jalen Wright, he wasn't really playing well or practicing well even before he got hurt. We don't know the severity of the injury but the fact that he limped off and back into the facility is a problem. And so I think by default Ollie Gordon won the number two running back job. And right now the guy who's number one at running back isn't healthy for the Dolphins. Add on top of that then Mike McDaniel said that dispersion of the football is the ultimate weapon against a defense. When asked about, you know, how he's going to use Achan coming back from his injury and that makes me think that Miami might spread the ball around a little bit more at least in terms of carries between their running backs. Unless they make a move to acquire another running back. I, I think Gordon is going to end up being a decent role player for them and I don't mind taking him with a pick. Let's call it round 12 + make it a pick that's not worth anything where he could end up potentially being their starter. Week one against Indianapolis.

All right, let me catch everybody up here. So we'll go through a quick like some news and notes real quick. Talk about the Steelers backfield. I have the seventh pick. Jamie has the. Not the eighth pick. Sorry, Jamie 11th. Dave 12th and this 12 team full PPR league where again we start one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end and a flex. No kickers, no DSTs. We have what, six bench spots? Yes. Okay, so round one was Chase Robinson, Jefferson, Gibbs, Lamb, Barkley, Chase Bijan, Jefferson, Gibbs, Lamb, Barkley. That's wide receiver, running back, wide receiver, running back, wide receiver, running back. Then McCaffrey, then Genty, then Nico Collins, Malik neighbors Derrick Henry and amanra St. Brown. Six running backs, six wide receivers. The next two picks were Puka Nukua and Brian Thomas Jr. So Dave started his team with St. Brown and Puka. Jamie started his team with Henry and Brian Thomas Jr. Dave, if Derrick Henry had not been taken at 11 by Jamie, if you had, if he had taken St. Brown or Puka or Brian Thomas Jr. Whatever, what would you have done at the turn if Henry had been available to you?

I would have taken Derrick Henry and whichever receiver was there between Saint Brown and Nakua.
Adam
But whereas you were comfortable taking a Chan in the first round, are you no longer comfortable taking him?
Dave
No. He's got to be around 2 pick at this point.
Adam
Do you think I took him too early at 17?
Dave
No, I think that's right around the range where he should go. And it's, it's, it's you buying the dip. We talk about this every single preseason where players lose value on draft day because of recent events or current events. And then two, three weeks from now, Achan could be really good to go and you got yourself a first rounder in round two. I thought it was a smart pick.
Jamie
This is the first draft we've seen Adam that we've done together. At least where Jacobs has gone ahead of HN at least recently.
Adam
He did Jacobs dig. So is Puka, Brian Thomas Jr. Josh Jacobs first three picks of round two. We did talk a lot about Jacobs on the mailbag that you're going to hear on Saturday or you can go watch it on YouTube already. And by the way, that mailbag, the first 30 minutes is auction talk. I'm not saying you should, but you could just do the all preseason injury team and grab like all this value of players that people were panicking on. It would have to be more like an auction because you can't take hn, Tyreek Hill, AJ Brown on the same team necessarily. And.

I drafted McAfee. It's a super flex league, so I got four points for passing touchdowns. So quarterbacks fell a bit, but I got at the 10th pick, Jalen Hurts in round one, McCaffrey, round two, HN, round three, A.J. brown. Round four, Mike Evans. Round five, Tyreek Hill. Round six.

Yeah, you nailed. You crushed it. All right. I think. All right, let me get back to round to Puka, Brian Thomas, Jr Jacobs, London Achan Bowers. Now, we've sort of established there is a tier of five running backs and we'll see how they come off the board. But they're all coming off the board here with Jacobs. Then HN, I guess, is in that tier. Maybe it's six running backs now. Kyron Williams, Chase Brown, then Trey McBride.

Let's talk about something, because I. I'm not going to say I made a mistake by taking Genti and hn, but I. I hate the wide receivers available right now, and I love the running backs available right now. I'm not taking a third running back, so that leaves me between Kittle and A Quarterback. And I think I'm going to take Kittle and hope that one of Daniels burrow and make me curse comes back to me. No, don't care. Oh, there goes Jaden Daniels. All right. So I could start this, this league with two running backs, a tight end and a quarterback. A very unusual build, but we talk about how much we like the wide receivers in rounds five through seven. So we'll see if I can maybe pull that off if I go, if I get Hertzer burrow with my next pick. This is a 6 point per passing touchdown league. But I would say that again. We say it a lot. It, it might make you just breathe a sigh of relief if you get a top eight wide receiver or whatever you want to extend it to London, AJ Brown, whatever. But with one of your first two picks. I was one of. Was I the only. No, Joe, I was the only team here. Oh no, Dave, you too. All right. Oh, sorry. I'm sorry. I'm getting so confused. You know, I'm trying to see how many teams did not draft a wide receiver in one of the first two rounds. Am I the only one? No. Joe took Gibbs and McBride and then he took JSN. Joel took McCaffrey and Bowers and then he took Josh Allen. So he also doesn't have a wide receiver. But those guys have one of the elite title. Oh, all right. So we all have a. Have an elite tight end. If you could consider Kittle. But most teams have a wide receiver. Dave, you had Saint Brown and Pukinakua. What'd you do with the 34 turn?

I was in a tough spot in the 34 turn. Camaro was the top running back on the board. Jamie had taken James Cook right in front of me. I would have taken James Cook if he had been there. Marion Hampton went right in front of Jamie. I'm sure Jamie would have taken Hampton over Cook.

Yep, you would have.
Dave
And so the, the, the running backs that were left that were at the top of my board were Chimera, Chuba Hubbard, James Connor, Trayvon Henderson, RJ Harvey, and then everybody behind them. The receivers that were left, Devonte Adams, Marvin Harrison Jr. And Cortland Sutton. I already had Nakua. I didn't want to have Nakua and Devonte on the same team. I would have taken Marvin Harrison, but Harrison has the same bye week as Saint Brown and Nakua. I don't want three receivers with a week eight by. So Camara was the easy choice and there, there weren't any quarterbacks that I loved that were on the board. There weren't any tight ends. I went rbrb. Chuba's my next ranked running back. So Camara and Chuba Hubbard were my picks.

Oh, man. If you're picking in the second half of the first round and you get to rounds three and four, I think Jamie's going to agree with me. I don't know about Dave. I just love the running backs in this range.

Right. Like Bucky. Bucky went way too late, so he didn't quite make it there, but don't count on that. But Omarion Hampton, James Cook, Alvin Camara, Chuba Hubbard, Trayvon Henderson, RJ Harvey have all just been picked and I don't know, you don't have to love all of them, but odds are you're going to get yourself a running back you really like in rounds three and or four in this 12 team format. All right, let me get you round three here. Round three was Tyreek Hill, Lamar Jackson, T. Higgins, Jackson Smith and Jigba. Little earlier than ADP on jsn. There I was. That's a guy. When I took HN and Genti, I was hoping JSN would make it back to me. He did not. Bucky Irving, Mike Evans in the middle of round three, which we like now. Josh Allen, first quarterback off the board. Nope. I'm sorry, Lamar Jackson.

Yes. Yes. Lamar Jackson went with the second pick of round three. Josh Allen went with the seventh pick of round three. Then I took Kittle, Jaden Daniels, Omarion Hampton, James Cook to Jamie, Alvin Camara to Dave. So Omarion Hampton started a run of five straight running backs. And in fact, after Mike Evans was taken with the sixth pick of round three, we went 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 11 or 12 picks before another wide receiver came off the board. That's pretty telling right there. So Jamie at 11 took Cook. Dave took Camara at 312 at 4.1. He took Hubbard. Jamie took Henderson. So they both went running back. Running back there through four picks. Jamie at team 11 has Derrick Henry, Brian Thomas Jr. James Cook and Travion Henderson. Dave has St. Brown, Pukinakua Camara and Chuba Hubbard. So, you know, two running backs for Dave, two receivers, three running backs for Jamie, one receiver. I at pick eight have no receivers. Genti, HN, Kittle and Burrow.

I bet you end up happy with the receivers you get though.

Has played out and the receivers that are still on the board. Harrison, Sutton, Tedro, McMillan, Pickens, McLaurin, Abuka. Like we're in early round five. They're all still there. I think Harrison's a steal in round five, to be perfectly honest with you.

Trayvon Henderson, Jalen Hurts, RJ Harvey, Joe Burrow. First five picks are three running backs and two quarterbacks. Now we've got three tight ends off the board and five quarterbacks off the board. So it could be a while before we see either of those two positions. And now we get a little bit of a run on wide receiver in the middle of round four. Garrett Wilson. And I know we might be a little nervous about Garrett Wilson. Is this a good spot for him mid round four?

You're still going to get a lot of catches, right? A lot of targets. All right, then, DK Metcalf. How would you guys have drafted this run of four wide receivers? Garrett Wilson, DK Metcalf. Jamie, I think you should pause the draft because I'd love to get your thoughts live as you make this pick, and I'll get you there soon, I promise. But how would you guys have drafted Garrett Wilson, Devonte Adams, DK Metcalf and Xavier Worthy?

Yeah, so it went in order.

My order, Jamie, and then you can change it. It's. I would have gone to Adams way ahead of Metcalf. Wilson, Worthy.
Jamie
Yeah, I agree.
Adam
Okay. Obviously there's some. Some Matthew Stafford concerns in there. After that, we had Breece hall and Ken Walker. So again, Breeze hall is a faller, but 10th pick of round three and Ken Walker's a follower. How do you feel about them at around four? I'm sorry. 10th and 11th picks of round four for Breeze hall and Ken Walker.
Jamie
Love the value for Walker. I think this is about the beginning. I would start to consider Bruce hall if he's in the range of running backs that you're looking at, but I would not take Bruce hall in round three by any stretch. And Walker has definitely fallen to round four. So I would take Walker after Hampton, Cook. Hampton, Cook, Henderson and Harvey. But I would take him ahead of Camara and Hubbard.
Dave
Would you take him ahead of James Connor?
Jamie
I would take him. Have James Connor, yes.
Dave
Okay. Because I feel like there's that range of, like, veterany running backs. Hubbard, Connor, Camara should be in there. Walker's in there, Breeze is in there. I think once you see one or two of those running backs go, that's when you know the rest of them are going to follow really soon after.
Adam
I think we're also seeing. It's a really big tier of running backs and a big tier of wide receivers and they could go in any order. Camara went. Camara and Hubbard went at 36 and 37. Then you had Henderson, Harvey, but Harvey's ADP is still in round five, maybe even round six. Breece Hall, Ken Walker, DeAndre Swift would soon go. And then you've got this group of wide receivers. Garrett Wilson, DK Metcalf, Devonte Adams, Xavier Worthy went a little earlier than we usually see him go. Jameson Williams went at the last pick of round four, and that's where we are. And Mahomes went with the first pick of. That's exactly Mahomes's adp. So Brandon, who had the number one overall pick and took Chase, took Patrick Mahomes, first pick of round five. He's probably saying, I want Mahomes. I can't get him at the last pick of round six. I'm going to take him first pick around five. After Mahomes, it was Marvin Harrison, DeAndre Swift, George Pickens, Cortland Sutton. We love that pick. Jalen Waddle a little earlier than usual. Ted a row McMillan. And then I took my first wide receiver, Terry McLaurin, and then Isaiah Pacheco went. Dan's just taking all my guys. James Conner went right after Pacheco. James Conner, by the way, top 12 basically every year when he's healthy. But he's getting up there in age a Mecca. Abuka to Jamie. Holy moly. That is what? That's 59th overall. You took Abuka.

Yeah. So I knew Dave probably had inkling to want to draft him. So there was a handful receivers that have sort of bunched together of Abuka Ridley, Judy Pierce, all I think DJ More still on the board, those guys. So I'm like, I don't think I'd get a buka coming back. Let me take him before Dave picks. So as you always hear me say, know your league. And so I took a Buka and then I still got Ridley, who I have ranked very similar.
Adam
All right, so Jamie took a book of 59th and Dave took Tony Pollard and then he took Ricky Piersol. So the days of getting Ricky Pierce all in the seventh round are probably done as he went with the first pick of the second sixth round.
Dave
Well, what's his adp.
Adam
Well, it's hard to say because, you know, he's such a big riser, but I can use a date range on nfc, so how about I don't.
Dave
Would you mind doing that? Because I'm curious if he's still going to be like a round six pick in, in everybody's drafts this weekend.
Adam
All right, I'm just going to look at the last three days of non super flex drafts, right?
Dave
Like he's around eight, 41 drafts.
Adam
He's wide receiver 32. And I'm not going to give you he's going 63rd. But wide receivers go really early in this ADP. So everybody's pushed up but Abuka's wide receiver 31 and Pierce all his wide receiver 32. And then it's Rasheed Rice, Jerry Judy, Travis Hunter. It's basically exactly what we're seeing in this draft. Rice hasn't come off the board yet, but the other guys. Oh, Judy hasn't come off the board yet or has he?

Judy is not.
Adam
All right, so after Dave took Pollard to end round five, he took Pierce all. Then Ridley goes to Jamie, as he mentioned, and then Devonte Smith, DJ Moore and I took Travis Hunter.
Jamie
So Hunter over duty.
Adam
You know, I have so many. I have. We're not playing this out, so maybe I should have just done it the other way. But I taken Jerry Judy in my last, each of my last two drafts. But actually I think I just like Hunter better. But it's very close. That was between those two. And I was really considering Rasheed Rice, you know, because he's going to be, I think the best of all of this group while he's playing.
Jamie
So I'm glad you said that. First off, I don't know if I'd want to pair rice and McLaurin together just with how that could, could go. But I do think in a two receiver league, it's much easier to get away with drafting Rice, especially with your build earlier because he's going to get you off to those first four games, hopefully playing at a very high level. He may get this extended if the appeal process goes longer than that. But again, you're, you're trying to maximize what has been a little bit of a lull in your receiving core. That's the way to do it.
Adam
Yeah, yeah, it was, it was very appealing because you know, you figure, look, we're going to get him for at least the first four games probably unless they come to some sort of settlement. His hearing is after the first four games. This is where she Rice we're talking about. Your team is going to change so much throughout the course of the season. Your roster in week four is going to be different than the one you drafted in week one. So you know, just, you just get the points from Rashi Rice. There is a chance that this lingers and lingers. As Jamie mentioned, you don't know what the status is going to be and he's just so good.
Jamie
Three receiver league, it's a little different, a little more challenging.
Adam
Right.

Two receivers, two flexes. A little more challenging.

Yeah, we're in round seven. So anyway, what you're going to see is this, this wide receiver is going to be very popular in rounds five and six. And we're going to start to run out of the ones that people really want to start once we get to round seven. Matthew golden was the first pick of round seven. We still do have Rasheed Rice on the board, but we have Debo Samuel, Jacoby Myers, Roma Dunes A, Jordan Addison. I'm guessing people are going to be more comfortable with these guys being bench receivers or flexes for them. So rounds five and six is going to be wide receiver heavy. If you're loaded at wide receiver then you, you know, you might be able to see some running backs fall to you that you like. But let's recap. Round six. It was Pearsall Ridley, Devonte Smith, DJ Moore, Travis Hunter, Aaron Jones, Sam Laporta, Dave David Montgomery goes here and then Jordan Mason was the next pick. You know, Montgomery going kind of late in round six. Mid, mid. Round six, let's say, is later than what we used to see. Do you think he's been a faller and do you think it's been justified?

It's a little bit justified because there's so much excitement for not just Jameer Gibbs, but really the whole passing offense in Detroit. Just rave reviews all training camp long. I do still view Montgomery as a low end RB2 though. And this is, I'm okay with.

Now the Steelers running backs, because I am probably going to take Caleb Johnson, Jalen, if he's available when I pick in three picks. Jamie just took Stefon Diggs, TJ Hawkinson off the board. I'm on deck. So what we saw last night isn't necessarily indicative of what's going to happen. But it was not good for Jalen Warren unless you guys. Because he didn't play third down. Gainwell was the third down back. So if Caleb Johnson's gonna split with Warren on first and second down and j. And so. And Gainwell at least is going to have a say on third down and. And Gainwell was exclusively the third down back last night on two possessions. That. That was not good for Warren again, doesn't mean it will.

I concur. The other thing I'll mention, though, is the Steelers are getting to know Kenneth Gainwell, and I. I think everybody would have told you before the preseason started, yeah, Kenny Gainwell's capable of playing on any down in the NFL, but they might have just simply wanted to see how he would do playing third down for them in a preseason game. Just because you see in a preseason game, it's true. It's not indicative of how the Steelers intend to roll this year. They know they've got a guy for third down in Jalen Warren if they so choose. And what happened last night could be indicative also potentially of what they could do. I just. I'd be surprised if it ended up happening that way.

Well, think about game. While starting a preseason game before Caleb Johnson got in, think about him getting the opportunity to play on passing downs. Last night.

I think if you're gonna say Adam, like, it was bad for Warren, like he put the ball on the ground, they recovered it, you know, not. Not the worst situation, but not great. He slipped on one route. You know, again, how much they're going to value that type of performance versus, you know, what he, what he did. I, I just think Warren's their guy. And, and Gainwell is going to mix in. Maybe he is the third down back. But we talked about this. At some point this week those two guys grayed out Warren and Gainwell as two of the better past blocking running backs in the league and you have a 40 year old non mobile quarterback. Like it's going to be very tough for Caleb Johnson to be in a primary spot right away. He may work his way.

But clearly what they're seeing, you know, holding out Jalen Warren in the first two preseason games and then they come out and he's their starter like there's a huge opportunity here for him. So you know, looking at, at the chat, you're getting a lot of. I'm staying away from the Steelers running backs. I get that. You know, it's, it's not exactly a backfill. I think you want to go after. I draft a lot of Jalen Warren, but I take him as my third or fourth running back depending on the build because I still think that there's some upside there to be a strong flex. I don't think you're going to get a top 20 running back unless there's just injuries or he's their goal line guy. But I think Jaylen Warren's in a pretty good spot. Like the fact that Caleb Johnson has struggled to ascend their depth chart and the fact that Kenneth Gainwell is his main competition at this point. I think it's a good place for, for Jalen Warren's upside to, to see where he can go.

And they say they're being cautious with Devon Hn. You gotta be a little concerned. But they say they're just holding him out precautionary. But do you take your handcuff or do you take a different team's handcuff? Because then if. If I have a Chan and he stays healthy and I have Spears and Pollard gets hurt, well, then all of a sudden I'm just completely loaded at running back. So what's the philosophy for you, Dave?

On which. On taking your handcuff, your own backup versus somebody else's. In the case of a Chan, I think it makes sense to get your own handcuff. Any. Any running back that you draft where in the back of your mind you're worried about an injury and you believe in the guy behind him. I think it's worth doing. If I drafted Kenneth Walker, I'm going to go out of my way to get Zach Charbonnet, and then I've got that Seattle backfield which is supposed to run the football and do it better than they did last year. I have it locked up. I've got an RB2 and like a high end RB2.

I think, though, that that's a tough example, though, because you have to commit so much earlier to.

I agree, but that's the type of thing that you should do. And you should think about when you lay out the order in which you're going to pick players. And you have to say to yourself, okay, if I get Ken Walker in round three or round four, I've got to spend that round eight pick on Zach Charbonnet. And I, I hope I get him in round eight because a lot of other people are going to go after him. Achan is banged up getting Ollie Gordon. It would make sense. Christian McCaffrey, Once Upon a time got banged up. Isaac Arendo did Great. I'd love to pair those two guys. And so in those instances where you've got a running back that you're fine starting and you're happy that you have them, but you know that there's a chance that they could get hurt along the way. And the backup running back is very good. You take the backup, you at least target the. The backup.

And based on how the injury is going, you may have been able to get Spears on the way back.

I had to obviously spend capital at wide receiver, which I did in rounds five, six, seven with McLaurin, Hunter, Rasheed Rice. But I could have no HN in week one. So who am I starting in week one? Javante Williams, Caleb Johnson? Maybe Ali Gordon made more sense. I don't. I can't sit here and say in week one that for sure Ali Gordon is going to be better than Javante Williams. I'm fine starting Javante Williams if I have to. I mean, hopefully I'm starting a chan, but just keep that in mind, if you do a build like mine where you, where you force yourself to load up at wide receiver in the mid rounds, you can't take good running back value there because you already have, you know, Genti and hn. You have to take wide receivers. You don't have any. Well, you know, if Hn's one of your running backs, you better be prepared to have someone good to start at running back and week one.

I think just again, knowing your, your build and specifically the players that you have, like getting the opportunity to maybe just lock up that Dolphins backfield, even if you just. You may need them for week one. I mean, what if McLaurin doesn't play in week one? I'm not saying he's not. He's not going to be on the roster or anything like that, but hasn't practiced. And what if Rice's suspension gets changed from week one?

Everybody loves Bruce hall still. So Bruce Hall, DeAndre Swift, Jalen Warren, Travis CTN. The way he started his team with four receivers in his first six picks, like, that's pretty awesome.

I would have liked it better either if he took Bucky third and then another receiver where he took Swift or Hall, or if he had stuck with the first three receivers and gone with Walker and Connor in rounds four and five. I'm fine with Judy in six.

Definitely that for me, at least. And then I probably would have taken. In his situation. I definitely would have taken Rashi Rice over a Dunze. Like, that would have been fantastic. I would take a Myers over a Dunes. I would have taken Coleman over Dunes. They would have taken Digs over Dunes. They like. I just think you need a little bit more security there. I love the Chardonnay pick. I think Kirk is a great pick, you know, so, like what he did at the back end of the draft and, you know, even taking a flyer on iuk. But I just don't love some of the selections there.

You could have had your wide receiver one there. Tetarola McMillan in round five. We. We like. Then you take David Montgomery in round six or Aaron Jones, if you like him. It can work. It can work. All right, let's talk about our teams here. I had the next pick. Weird, weird team for me. Genti Achan Kittle, Joe Burrow, like a kind of exciting start. Terry McLaurin. Terry. Yeah, Terry McLaurin. Travis Hunter, Rashid Rice. I mean, the Rashi Rice pick kind of saved this team. Of course, Caleb Johnson, Javante Williams and Tajie Spears on my bench. I actually like that Khalil Shakir is my wide receiver 4. I wish that were someone else, but it's okay. And Marvin Mims I took a shot on. And then Caleb Williams. So I start Burrow at quarterback, Kittle at tight end, Genti and hopefully Achan McLaurin. Travis Hunter at receiver, Rashee Rice at flex. I actually really like this team. I think it turned out good enough. Got lucky with Rashid rice. Jamie pick 11. Go ahead and take us through your team quarterback.

We Baker Mayfield. I think that's great value for him. Where I got him, which was round nine. Nine, Derek Henry, James Cook at running back. Brian Thomas, Jr. Ameca Buka. Potentially as a number two receiver or Calvin Ridley and that in that spot Trayvon Henderson at flex and tight end was just take the last two picks with Dalton Kincaid and Jake Ferguson. Hope for the best bench receivers will be either Calvin Ridley or Abuka. Keon Coleman, Stefan Diggs and backup running backs would be Jerome Ford and Ray Davis. Ford could be a flex for me also. I wouldn't start him over Henderson, Cook or Henry, but Ford should get off to a good start. With the Browns running back situation being what it is, I like this team a lot.

Okay, so again, Jamie's starting lineup is gonna be Baker Mayfield, who he took late with Dalton Kincaid or Jake Ferguson. And then the strength is going to be at receiver and running back. Derrick Henry, James Cook. Let's call Travion Henderson our maybe flex. Maybe we wait a week or two. Brian Thomas and then you have a Mecca Abuca or Calvin Ridley. Those guys could be receiver two and flex. Very, very strong at receiver. And Keon Coleman, Stefon Diggs, Jerome Ford, Ray Davis on the bench question. Just going to address this question real quick from the chat. Rasheed Rice may not play six to eight weeks of the season. Right. How is taking him over Odunze a win? Well, the theory is Rice is going to be much better than Odunze in full PPR when he's healthy. And that's going to go a long way. I mean, Rashid Rice was the number two or three wide receiver per game last year. He was something like number 12 in the last six games of his rookie season. Odunze's obviously got to prove it. And then there just is this possibility that through appeals and through the. The arbitrator maybe taking a long time or the judge taking a long time to make a decision. We just. This could really linger. We don't know that he's going to miss six to eight games, but it's a good question. It's a good decision that all of you are going to have to make.
Jamie
Individually on I think Armin just had a good point, too, at least the beginning part of it. In his message. Rice will be the guy when he plays, and Odunze still got to prove himself. So there is a chance that by the time, and it may be a good pairing of Rice and Odunze, if you could pull it off by the time Odunze starts to get looking like the guy that he could be, which will probably take a week or two in the season. That's when Rice suspension hits. But I think it also, you know, you look at the build, you know, so we had discussed, Adam, that you could have taken Rice, where you took Hunter and figured out the third receiver spot coming back, which could have been, let's say, Jacoby Myers, right? Then you get those four games of Rice, maybe four plus. But given your build, like, that's huge. Yeah.
Adam
All right. Sorry, Jim. Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. Dave, your team, you also waited at quarterback and tight end. You took Tyler Warren in round eight, Jared Goff in round 11. And how do you. How does your team turn out?
Dave
Well, let's just start with Jamie's idiom of know your foe. I used idiom the correct way there, didn't I?
Adam
Yeah, I think so.
Dave
Okay. If not, then I'm an idiot. And you can call me an idiot in the comments. You do anyway. But I was sniped on each of my first five picks in the odd rounds. Jamie took Henry, Cook, Abuka, Coleman, Baker before I could get my hands on them. So if you're drafting with friends and you know how your friends draft, use that to your advantage. This is a good example of that. That being said, I was still able to take players that I wanted. I'd never felt like I was in a position where I had to reach too far for somebody. Maybe Chuba went a half round too soon, but I really wanted to be sure that I had a really good RB2 and. And I'm totally fine waiting on quarterback until it's a fair value. Waiting on tight end until it's a fair value. I don't know if Warren in the first pick of round eight is the fairest of values, but I'm just very bullish on him. And, and I love the depth that I have at running back. I'm good with the depth at receiver. I can always find other receivers. I know I only have five guys and one of them might be useless by the time we get to week one, but I. I feel strong. I feel like this is a good, competitive team.
Adam
I. I'm just wondering at the 34 turn you took Camara and Hubbard, do you give and then Henderson was the next pick. Did you give thought to Henderson or Harvey there just to say, all right, I'm gonna take one veteran and one exciting rookie and see what happens?
Dave
No, because it's not like Chuba Hubbard is an older player either and he's coming off of a year where he averaged 16 PPR points per game. And as much as I love Henderson and Harvey, I worry about those guys getting that high on a per game average.
