Wanna play? Can you believe this? No, I can't.
Adam
It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Off to the races and he stays on his feet.
Dan
This is gonna go the.
Adam
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and. Hey, what's up everybody? It's mailbag time. Welcome to Fantasy Football Today presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas. Oh, I got something that Dan Schneier is definitely going to like. Something you're gonna dig. I feel it. You ready?
Dan
Yes. All right.
Adam
This I brought. I. I intentionally stopped eating my lunch so I could bring this sandwich on the air for you. You love a nice sandwich. All right, so I got this. Got a little sesame bun. Okay.
Dan
Interesting.
Adam
A seated bun, seeded bun. This is called the untouchable. We got. I put grilled chicken on it, but usually it's got a chicken cutlet. It's got some fresh mott balsamic vinegar and prosciutto.
Dan
Oh, that's the best.
Adam
So first of all, what do you mean?
Dan
Usually it has chicken cutlet on it?
Adam
Well, it's. You're supposed to have chicken.
Dan
You made the sandwich?
Adam
No, I got it from Rocky's Deli, which is amazing.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
It's a chicken cutlet sandwich. I go a little healthier. I went to the grilled chicken.
Dan
That's a bad decision to start. But it specs out for you. Anytime you add prosciutto to a chicken cutlet sandwich, it's an excellent move. It's something that as. So, you know, I'm not gonna.
Jamie
This is.
Dan
This is gonna get a lot of crap for me about what I'm about to say. But back in the day, about 11 years ago, I think I actually created the addition of prosciutto on a chicken cutlet sandwich. I really do feel that way. You know, you went around delis, and this is a shout out to Tudo Fresco and Old Deli in Livingston, New Jersey. Old Italian lady, she used to work a deli out of her house. Some of the best mozzarella you'll ever find. Mozz says they will call it the Italians. I'm not one of them, though. I want to be, but I'll never be. But I ordered. It was one of those delis where she kind of ran it like the Soup Nazi. So, like, she was mean to the customers, and it was kind of like, part of her charm. And the first time I asked for the number eight, which is just chicken Gauntlet, the classic chicken. Garlic, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, balsamic, and like, a root, like, that's. You see that one a lot. But I said, let's throw some prosciutto on that. She took a step back. But instead of, like, roasting me like, she roasts all the other people, and I was a regular at that point. I was going with once or twice a week. She's like, all right. And she did it, and then she started liking it when I ordered it, and it became my sandwich. So I do feel like 11 years ago, no one was ordering the prosciutto on that, like, adding the prosciutto. I kind of feel like I was a pioneer in that. I love it.
Adam
All right, good stuff. No prosciutto for you. Okay.
Dan
And let me say this before we start. You need to be roasted for this start.
Jamie
Let's start.
Adam
You can roast me later. Because, listen, we have a time limit today. You guys Have a draft to get to. So let's start. We got your emails, fantasy football, cbsi.com. we've got your Apple podcast questions. We got your YouTube comments at the end of the show. And we'll start with your draft a thon questions. And this one's an easy one. Joel says, can you give a shout out to my wife and two time breast cancer survivor Lindsay Wolf? She listens every single day. Shout out to Lindsay Wolf.
Dan
Shout out. Lindsay, thank you for supporting the show.
Adam
I believe Lindsay Wolf, I recall, is a big Bills fan. So go Bills. In your honor, Lindsay.
Dan
Thanks.
Adam
Yeah, right. All right, this one's from Dragon. What movie is this from, by the.
Dan
Way, to drag this one. Give me a second.
Adam
Two Dragons.
Dan
It's dodgeball.
Adam
No, two Dragons is. I think it's Starsky and Hutch with Will.
Dan
Oh, no, I thought you were saying follow me. Blazer, isn't it? Dragon don't need to call himself Dragon or something in that movie.
Adam
No, stop. I'm second. Second and the fifth pick in two different ten team leagues. Their full PPR four point per passing touchdown leagues start. Two receivers and a flex. Do I go tight end quarterback with my second and third picks in both of these full PPR 10 team leagues? I have the second and the fifth pick. Do you support tight end, quarterback in second in the second and third rounds.
Jamie
Tight end and quarterback in the second and third rounds in a 10 team league.
Adam
10 team league where you only start two, two receivers.
Jamie
I don't have a problem with that. Yeah, I mean I, I wouldn't go in with. I'm only doing that. And that strategy only like, you know, you may get someone that falls to you that you can't pass up. So be flexible.
Dan
Jamie.
Adam
I have news for you, Dave. Richard telling me that Micah Parsons has dual eligibility D line and linebacker in cbs.
Jamie
I mean, that is going to shatter some IDP leagues.
Adam
Yeah, you start him at D line. It's. It's a, it's a big deal. Okay. From Scott. I have the seventh pick in a 12 team PPR league in my mock drafts, assuming I take Christian McCaffrey at seven. Are you guys hearing that noise?
Dan
What noise, Dave?
Adam
IMing me. It's going through my, my Gmail and into.
Jamie
I think that was your conscious telling you your stupid college football tickets.
Dan
I got like 14 Slack messages that I hope you didn't hear.
Adam
No, I never hear those. All right.
Dan
Oh yeah, it was probably his conscious kicking in about his horrific take about his football team earlier. His college football team.
Adam
We'll get to later seventh pick in a 12 team PPR league. In my mock drafts, assuming I take McCaffrey at 7 and I want two top 30 running backs and two top 25 wide receivers, my first five picks. In most mock drafts, Drake London and AJ Brown seem to be the first available wide receivers at 18. I'm lacking conviction on Drake London because he has not consistently produced like a wide receiver one compared to Brown. Can you change my mind on drafting London over Brown?
Jamie
Well, I think the news of Brown's hamstring injury being okay is going to make people feel a lot more at ease. So if you were in the Brown camp already, then you should just take AJ Brown and hope that he continues to do what he does. I think and, and part of that also should be Darnold Mooney returning to practice too for the Falcons. So maybe the early season head start that London would have over everybody else on his team, let alone maybe A.J. brown is now, you know, that gap is now closed if you're, if you're looking at it. I just think to judge Drake London with the first two years of his career compared to last year is not fair. So I think what we saw last year is indication of what kind of player he's going to be, what he was drafted to be in the NFL. You could have some concerns about Michael Penix and can he support a receiver to the level of what a top 10 receiver should produce.
Dan
I think he showed that at least.
Jamie
In a couple of games that he started last year. Small sample size, but I was confident enough. So for me, I like London's situation just a little bit better because while I have my doubts about Saquon Barkley in the run game there in Philly being as successful, I still think that the pass offense for the Falcons will be a little bit more prevalent than the pass offense for the Eagles if things go right for both teams.
Dan
Yeah, I mean, you look at last year, the tempo that the Falcons played with a lot of offensive plays, that's great for him. Michael Pennix's skill set specifically fits London. It's a lot of intermediate shots outside the numbers. That's his game down the field, outside the numbers, that's where London wins. So I think the fit is really great. There's going to be a lot of offensive plays, better passing environment. But I understand that, you know, A.J. brown has produced and, and London hasn't, but we're projecting moving forward.
Adam
Yeah, but I'm still taking A.J. brown.
Dan
Oh, are you?
Adam
Yeah, easily. Actually it's really not even close for me.
Jamie
He.
Adam
He was wide receiver. What? Sorry. He was like wide receiver 13 per game or something like that last year. But I still think he was better than London per game. And the Falcons.
Jamie
You're taking out week 18?
Adam
I don't know if I am, but the Falcons had the seventh most passing yards in football last year, so I don't see them eclipsing that. And, and with that, Drake London was wide receiver 15 per game. You know, I might be a little off. He was fourth overall but he averaged 16.5-PPR fantasy points per game. That made him wide receiver 14. A.J. brown was at 16.7. They're basically tied. So that was London with 158 targets in 17 games. A.J. brown 97 and 13 games. I don't know what the pace was but bottom line is on a per target basis I am not just confident but basically 100 sure that AJ Brown is going to be better than Drake London. If I had to pick three wide receivers to lead the NFL in yards per out run, it would be A.J. brown, Nico Collins and Puka Nakua. Those are the three guys that really stand out in terms of efficiency. And I do think we keep saying like you kind of like Devonte Smith because you just think the Eagles are going to have to throw more than they did last year. Their run game won't be as successful. I also believe that. So A.J. brown once upon a time had like 150 something targets with the Eagles. It was two or three years ago. He, he I think is an easy pick for me over Drake London. I could see London being better, but I never hesitate to take AJ Brown over Drake London because he has proven himself to be a superior football player and a better fantasy option. Okay, so that's three different perspectives for you there. Next up, lost in my notes. Okay, we have another one from Scott. He actually donated twice.
Dan
Nice. Thank you Scott.
Adam
Yeah. 12 team PPR. One Player Keeper League. We have a One Player Keeper League and I can take Shakira and in round eight or Mooney in round 12. Or neither. What would you do?
Jamie
Mooney in round 12.
Dan
And I think it's, it's the right call and it's better than neither at this point. Mooney is better health projection than we expected. Should be ready for week one in that same offense we just kind of described. Could be a really good player.
Adam
Would you give me a hard time about taking Mooney over Coker right in Dynasty?
Jamie
I didn't give you a hard time about that. I would have taken both. And I was just like, I guess maybe more at the moment excited about Coker just with the opportunity he has in front of him. But I wanted both. I just, what I said to you was because you were. Because I know you look at my rankings. I just updated my rankings and put Coker ahead of Mooney.
Adam
Don't flatter yourself.
Jamie
And. And so I was like, oh, he's gonna take. He's gonna take Coker here. I'm like, all right, I'll get Mooney. And then you're like, oh, I'm gonna take Mooney. I'm like, oh, no, don't. Don't do that.
Adam

Oh, man, I really want to eat the rest of the sandwich. I'm going to ask Dan to promo beyond the box score in a little bit. Buy me some time. But first, let's go to our emails. If it's.
Jamie
Promos are as long as their show, you could eat your whole sandwich and your dinner too.
Adam
I could go out, kill the chicken, cook it, clean it, cook it. I could do all that now. But you know what? This, that's the point of beyond the box score. It's gonna be longer. The wide receiver rankings episode was 2 hours and 50 minutes. I'm not making fun of it. People like that stuff.
Dan
There was also auction stuff within it and listener questions.
Adam
Good for you.
Jamie
We go over 50 minutes, you scream at us.
Adam
Yeah, we have a different show. They're going to beyond the box score. You do what you have to do and it's your show. I'm not going to criticize it. I. I think it's great.
Dan
We've kept some of them shorter and we're ultimately aiming to go shorter, but when we do that, people always say go longer and we want More of this. So it's that time of the year. People want tips for their drafts.
Adam
All right, this one is from Jeff. What do you think of Jordan Addison's ADP would be without the suspension?
Dan
Love this question. Cause I've been drafting a whole lot of Jordan Addison. I feel like he's one of the best bargains right now in all of the. At all the wide receiver position ADP wise. Let's take a look now at where. Just looking at my rankings, I think he'd probably be in the range where we're drafting Golden. Right? Like that range of receiver above Golden.
Jamie
No. No suspension. No. Thielen. No.
Dan
And Feeling. No. No dealing's there.
Jamie
So Thielen's there, no suspension. So if there's no suspension, I think that's a fair range to draft him. I do think though with the suspension and with Thielen, because it's not just Thielen being there that I think is going to be a problem. It's. They come back to week four, I believe it's at Pittsburgh. It's definitely Pittsburgh. Then it's Cleveland, which is not a horrific matchup. But then it's a bye week. So you may not be starting Jordan Addison your fans leagues until week seven. Now again, what's the difference between him and Rashi Rice if you want to make that comp in terms of games missed and maybe upside downside. You know, I don't think anybody's going to say Addison's a better fantasy option than Rice, but it just might not have the, the want to get Addison in your starting lineup until post buy.
Adam
So we said the Golden Range. What does that mean? I mean we were talking, right, because golden on our website's going a hundredth around there.
Jamie
Well, Dan did say where we're drafting golden, so I got to be around seven.
Adam
Round seven.
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
Okay. So Addison. Yeah, it's funny with feeling. Feeling. We got to give this guy credit. He's been really, really productive for someone his age. He is 35. We're worried about 32 year old wide receivers. This dude's 35. He might, he might be done. You know, he might not be much of an impact, but we'll see. All right.
Jamie
I, I do like him in certainly gonna like him in some daily situations when they play Cincinnati in the first three weeks. You know, there's, there's good potential there for him because look, he's not going to take long to get long to be a contributor. And Thomas did point out, it's funny, anytime I say something about a Vikings player. So for anybody that doesn't use Stream Yard, there's a list of three columns where it says I I don't have the same as you guys, but it says private chat and comments. So whenever I say something about the Vikings, I always wait for like a a little icon to pop up in the private chat because I know Thomas is going to say something, either either agreeing or disagreeing with something that I just said or one of us just said. So Thomas correctly pointing out that those two games against the Steelers and the Browns are in Europe. I was surprised that there wasn't more comment on my earlier suggestion in the full length show on Friday about Harrison Smith being a Hall of Famer. He did make a comment, but I thought he would be more pro. Harrison Smith.
Adam
Yeah, and Harrison. Look, one of the concerns I have about the Vikings is that their defense could be great and it will limit their passing opportunities. And that is what we saw last year to a degree. They did not throw the ball as much as they usually do and they had the best defense that they've had in the Kevin o' Connell era. All right, we're going to take a break and we're going to come back and read more of your emails. And we have the fantasy cops later as well. We'll be right back.
Dan
Nice.
Adam

Adam
Okay, we are back. This one is from Brian. Brian is drafting 10th in a 12 team Super Flex league. How crucial is it to take a quarterback in the early rounds? Since I'm drafting later and won't get one of the top studs, is it okay if I totally punt and end up with a combination like TUA and Penix in order to load up at the other positions?
Jamie
10 Team Super Flex League with a pick in the early part of the draft.
Adam
It is a 12 team super flex league. He has the 10th pick so you got a lot of that wrong. He has one of the later picks in a 12 team Super Flex PPR league.
Jamie
So the question you have to ask yourself first off, if a top five quarterback falls that's a no brainer to me, you know. So you get one of Jackson, Allen, Daniels burrow hurts, no question. I'm taking it. Do you want to take my homes in the first round? And so if you want to take my homes in the first round then commit to it and you should be either all in or a little bit, you know, questioning who you passed up for him. So I would probably say let somebody else take my homes and maybe see what happens in round two if you want to go Baker or Knicks or one of those guys. But I think you can get away with waiting on quarterback and, and double up at the position a little bit later.
Dan
I would take the two best non quarterback talents with your first two picks in this spot because I think otherwise you're chasing a quarterback and I see a big drop off after the five. This is obviously assuming none of the five are there which I don't think they will be. Then on the comeback you're looking at that bottom tier range I think. But you could still pro get like a Lawrence Stroud or a Lawrence Jordan love combination there or JJ Love, something like that which is not terrible I don't think. Just try to. If you go this route and you're going to take the two best skill position players one and two, make sure you're first to your quarterback. Three.
Adam
I'm looking at the Super Flex draft we did last week where I, I waited a very long time for quarterbacks. Too long probably but look at an.
Dan
Early pickup but it ended up kind of fine. I think you ended up getting.
Adam
It's okay. But looking at team 10, that was Jake, he drafted, he drafted my homes around one but he could have taken you know like Barkley and Nico or McCaffrey and neighbors or something like that.
Jamie
And then I had McCaffrey and Nico. Right?
Adam
You did have McCaffrey and Nico. Okay right. So we'll take a look at your team too. And then in rounds three and four is exactly what Dan was saying. It was guys like Jordan love Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence, yeah, Justin Herbert, they were all available. Kyler Murray and Drake May went just before that tenth pick but Jamie took only one quarterback with his first four picks so he went. He went McCaffrey, Nico Collins, Drake, London, Jordan Love 12 team PPR super flex. And then his. His QB2 is JJ McCarthy and his QB3 is Bryce Young.
Dan
Yeah, he did a good job there with what I said be first to your QB3 I like.
Jamie
And Jackson Dart.
Dan
Love that you got Dart on that team. Nice. Great, great job.
Adam
All right, this one's from pow. Is there any certain just.
Jamie
Just to. Before we wrap that up, what you did and what I did. Because you drafted four quarterbacks also I believe you only have one bench wide receiver who's Quentin Johnston.
Adam
Yes. I am going to have to make a trade. So that's something. But no, I mean that's something that in super flex that I try to do is I draft many quarterbacks. I think I have five quarterbacks. What'd you say four?
Jamie
I know you have at least four. Maybe you do have five.
Adam
I have five.
Jamie
Okay.
Adam
I have Stroud, I have Flacco who I'm starting early in the season, Cam Ward, Spencer Rattler and Aaron Rodgers. So if I can turn.
Jamie
Dan loved when you made that Spencer Rattler pick. He couldn't praise you enough.
Adam
Yeah, he hated the pick. It was before he won the job, but I figured he would win the job. If I could turn Aaron Rodgers into Christian Kirk or something like that, then I think I'll get better.
Dan
Christian Kirk over.
Adam
I don't know. I don't know who went first.
Jamie
Oh, you can trade a quarterback in a super flex league for only Christian.
Adam
Kirk then if I could do Rattler. Well, who went first?
Dan
Nobody.
Adam
Rogers went first. That was a bad example. But if I could turn Rogers into like Roma Dunes who went. They went back to back. But maybe I could do even better than that. You know, Heath says. Heath says in a dynasty, startup league quarterbacks are never going to be cheaper. In a super flex dynasty, startup league quarterbacks are never going to be cheaper than they are on draft day. And that's how I feel about super flexible. You know, as soon as there's an injury at quarterback, you are holding the cards.
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
Trade market and you can do better than what you would have been able to do on draft day.
Dan
You're right. Okay, that is a good point.
Adam
All right, next up is from Powell. Is there any certainty in the Browns, Cowboys, Steelers, Jaguars, Giants or Commanders backfields?
Dan
Say those ones again. Jags.
Jamie
No.
Adam
Let's go one by one.
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
Browns.
Dan
No.
Jamie
No.
Adam
All right, so just give me like real quick. I don't want to. I don't want to make this a five minute answer. But your your best guess of what it's going to look like.
Jamie
Browns Dylan Sampson and Jerome Ford sharing the job for the majority of the season.
Dan
I think Jerome Ford will have the main lead on that job and Sampson will sprinkle in. I don't know about Juggins.
Jamie
Cowboys Javante Williams early in the season. Jaden Blue sprinkled in when he's healthy and a mess.
Dan
Yeah, I think it'll be Javante Williams for beginning of the season with like, like same thing Jamie said. At no point do I think Blue will take over the job. I think at best love like a Pollard role that he had with them. I think they ultimately trade for a running back at the deadline.
Adam
I wonder why you say that. I mean, I feel like Jaden Blue doesn't have a lot of I'm drafting Javante. I hate that he starts with the Eagles, but then after that his schedule gets better. He needs if he could get off to a good start, he could really be a big asset in fantasy. But you don't think Blue, like Blue's got a lot more juice than Javante. You don't think he has a chance.
Dan
I think I said I could take over a Tony Pollard role in the second half season.
Adam
Not, not. Do not do the Rico dowdle and just take over the job.
Dan
Not the dowdle. I don't think he has that. He's way too small for the dowel.
Jamie
You can't do the dowdle.
Adam
I think he could do the dowdle for half. Half a season.
Dan
I also think like the key is going to be now they traded Micah. The key is going to be like who is getting those snaps when they're in hurry up and they're down. You know, they're getting these shootouts that Dallas is going to be in. Who's on the field with them at running back because that's going to be a decent role. Like Daff will check down to that player. It might be Williams. He had what, like 80 targets? Or do you have 50, 49 receptions over the last two years with the Broncos somehow.
Jamie
Yeah. I hope it's not Miles Sanders because you could see them.
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
But Javante is very good in pass protection, so that helps him. Okay, Steelers.
Jamie
I think there's clarity. Yes.
Adam
That sounded like a big sneeze. You muted your mind.
Dan
I got the mute in time. That was an unreal mute right there.
Adam
It was a great mute. One of the better mutes. Steelers. I'm sorry, Jamie, Go ahead.
Jamie
I think there is clarity. I think we're gonna see Jalen Warren start and Kenneth Game will be the second guy and Caleb Johnson has to work his way in.
Dan
I think ultimately Caleb Johnson will lead this backfield Jaguars. No idea.
Jamie
No one knows from from what I think will happen is yeah, we'll see three guys touching the ball in the first few weeks of the season and then Basil too and eventually takes over.
Dan
Well, you know what, I don't want to say I don't think Tune will take over. He's so talented and so fun on tape. I don't want to say that. But we didn't really see anyone take over for this offense in Tampa last year and we did see what you mentioned, some three back games toug Walker early in the season before some of those injuries. So I think kind of stays with a three person three backfield for the whole season.
Adam
Yeah, it's just weird because I feel like Tank Bigsby hasn't done anything to lose that job. He was a good rusher last year, but we'll see. We'll see how it plays out.
Dan
But he never really had the job.
Jamie
Yeah. Lose what job?
Adam
The. The primary running downs back and certainly not the goal line back. That just feels like it should be him.
Dan
That should be him.
Jamie
If they are, if they are playing with the lead, I think we're gonna see 10 touches for three different guys. 10 touches each.
Adam
Three Giants. The Giants.
Dan
No, the Giants. One I think is defined my concern.
Adam
Because I think Chairon Tracy's pretty good value right now. But my concern, Dan, is that Scatterable will be the goal line back. What do you think?
Dan
So I, I think this one is way more defined than the others. Tyrone Tracy's gotten almost every first team rep both in the preseason and training camps. Scatter Boo was hurt, didn't get a chance to practice. Singletary mixes in not often. The problem with that, I don't still don't think that makes Tracy a good fantasy ass. He's playing on what should be a bottom six seven offense at best and he was removed a lot in the red zone last year and he's removed once in the preseason this year as well for Singletary. So if he's not the red zone guy and he's on a bad offense despite playing like 80% of the snaps, which I think he could play at least early in the season, it's not a great situation.
Adam
Okay. And then Commanders.
Dan
That's crazy. That one not.
Adam
You know what? The one guy I'm not really drafting on the Commanders is Eckler.
Dan
Oh, I like Eckler a lot.
Adam
They're not going to change his role. I think that's.
Dan
His role's kind of fine for where he's being drafted though, right?
Adam
It is, but if people expect him to take a big jump, I'm not sure I see it.
Dan
What if they don't trust Rodriguez and Jacori?
Jamie
I think you nailed it, Adam. Like, there's so much more upside for Jacori, Crosby, Merritt, Bill.
Dan
Bill.
Jamie
There's. There's no real inherent upside for Eckler.
Adam
Right? Yeah. I mean. Right.
Dan
There would be if they don't trust Bill and Rodriguez in past protection and on these, like Curry up.
Adam
Okay, but that's. That was the same as last year. Right. And. And what was Eckler was Brian Robinson last year. Yeah. Eckler was so lucky to get the fantasy. He was so efficient with his touches last year, but he really didn't have that many touches. He averaged five carries per game when Brian Robinson was healthy. But Corey Crosby. Merritt has to be the first one drafted, right, Bill? Cross gamer.
Jamie
Just because for me, I mean, Dave will still tell you.
Dan
Yeah. Yeah.
Adam
All right. Thank you, pal. Good question. This one's from Abraham. Many fantasy managers target players on teams with weak defenses, assuming that being behind forces more passing and scoring opportunities. I actually prefer players on teams with strong defenses. A quality defense not only keeps games competitive, but also sets up the offense with favorable field position through turnovers and stops. Am I alone on this?
Jamie
There's. There's two examples that come to mind in terms of the extreme. Last year it was the Chiefs defense being so good that we didn't have to see a lot of explosive production from their offense until they needed to late in the fourth quarter because it was just sort of okay, hey, go get a touchdown. Sure, we can do that. We do it whenever we want to. They just, for whatever reason, determined they didn't want to. And then the Blake Bortles led Jaguars, you know, when it was just. They were so bad. And then it was just all these fourth quarter blitzkrieg production that you would get late in games because they were just throwing and throwing and throwing so much. So look, the Bengals defense was awful last year and it led to a lot of great production for their offensive stars.
Dan
Right.
Jamie
I. I just think if you have a good offense, it doesn't matter.
Adam
Agreed. And if you have a bad offense, it doesn't matter. What?
Dan
I still prefer the bad defense over the good defense, so I think more.
Adam
Examples of that, but I'm going to give you static. Can I give the stat I gave this morning. Sure.
Jamie
I was gonna say, like the Lions last year, they, they did have a better offensive finish than they did in the beginning because their defense was so horrible.
Dan
Right.
Adam
I think if you compare a good offense with a bad defense, then you're talking. But if you have a bad offense, having a bad defense I don't think is really going to affect it.
Dan
Right, right, right.
Adam
Yeah. So basically I looked at the last four years and the teams that finished bottom five in points allowed. So the five worst defenses in football, and of those 20 teams, only six of them were top 10 in pass attempts. I didn't look at scoring, I just looked at pass attempts because that's what we really love in football. So it didn't really change the outcomes of the, of the past. It didn't really change the amount of pass attempts. Right. Only 6 out of 20 were top 10 in past attempts of the worst, worst defenses in football. So I was pretty surprised by that. And again, my theory was a lot of them were low in time of possession. So, you know, bad defense, your offense isn't going to be on the field all that much if you have a bad defense sometimes.
Dan
Right, right.
Adam
All right, next question is from John. How would you rank the backup high potential running backs? I drafted the first three, assuming he means Mason Charbonnet, Braylon Allen and Javante Williams. But I need to make space to fill out my roster. So he also. He has Ray Davis, he has Braylon Allen, he has Basil Tutin, and now he has Ali Gordon and he wants to. Maybe he meant those guys, I don't know. But if we're looking at those four, Ray Davis, Braylon Allen, Basil Tuton, Ollie Gordon, how would you rank them? Jamie.
Jamie
Tootin, Gordon. Who is it? Ray Davis.
Adam
Yeah, you missed number one for you. Braylon Allen.
Jamie
Oh, Allen. One Tootin, two Gordon, three Davis for.
Adam
I did want to ask you about Alan, since you're obviously high on him. I think my issue is like, okay, if Ray Davis is going to be useless while James Cook is healthy, but if Cook gets hurt, you know, Jamie Eisenberg, rocket ship emoji tweet. If Breece hall gets hurt, I feel like they get Isaiah Davis mixed in and you already have a situation where you have a quarterback who steals all the goal lines. Like, it's not good for running backs anyway. So I guess I'm a little.
Jamie
I don't know if Buffalo's the best example, but sure to account for that.
Adam
But we saw. But, but we. Well, but they, they get two, they get near the goal line. So much fair that, that, you know, we've, we saw it work and we saw Braylon Allen, we saw Ray Davis one game without Cook last year and he had like 20 points or something.
Jamie
So 55 yards. Yep.
Adam
Just challenging you on the Braylon Allen thing. Do you think he has that big Charbonnet like potential or even Ray Davis like potential if Breece hall were to get hurt?
Jamie
So I, I think the, the Charbonnet Davis like Charlotte's gonna be interesting one because how much will he play in tandem with, with Ken Walker? So it comes down to like when you, when you sort of separate these, you know, quote unquote handcuffs. I think Jordan Mason's gonna play a lot in tandem with Aaron Jones. I think Braylon Allen's gonna play a lot in tandem with Bristol. I don't think Ray Dave is going to play a lot in tandem with James Cook. But to your point, if there's an injury, there's an injury to Christian McCaffrey as we saw last year with the, the two separate backups. If there's an injury to any of these top tier guys, the second guy will step in and hopefully dominate. But it's also, you know, will you be able to get value out of these players while the other guy is healthy? And so that's the question you have to ask yourself. So I do think that we're going to see Charbonnet play, you know, based on some of the reports that Ken Walker missing time is open the door for, for more opportunities for Sharp, for sharpening to, to be out there. So really it's a matter of, you know, what draft capital you want to invest in these guys. Again, Braylon Allen's somebody for me that I'm aggressively drafting. So his average draft position right now is still like round 11, and I take him as early as round eight. So too aggressive probably. Yeah, I'm, I'm not shying away from that. If you just want to wait, you know, Heath has a great, you know, strategy for this is that you want to kind of load up on your receivers early so you're not having to chase the, the Jalen Coker's, Demario Day, Demaro Douglas, you know, Rashid Shahid group, and instead you're just spending all your capital late on these Ray Davis and Dylan Sampson and, you know, those type of players. It's just a matter of, you know, what are you giving up in the early rounds at. At running back to sort of, you know, wait for those guys?
Dan
Okay.
Adam
All Right. Next question is from. Oh, I don't have a. A name here, but it says dear Sunny, Nick and Todd. What is that?
Jamie
It's the second name.
Adam
Oh, Nick, Sonny, Nick and Todd. Okay. I should have gotten this.
Dan
What is it?
Adam
Georgia running backs. So it's Sony. It's Sony.
Dan
Michelle Classic.
Adam
I feel I made a crucial draft mistake.
Dan
Running backs.
Adam
I drafted Stefan Diggs.
Dan
There's a Georgia quarterback that Adam had the single worst take on before the show that you can even imagine.
Adam
I drafted Stefan Diggs over a mecca abuka in a full PPR league. Was this a bad move?
Dan
I don't like the pick. I mean, Chris Godwin, they just, we just heard yesterday don't expect him back for the first four weeks, was it? Or until week four, at least. That's at least. I think usually that's a. They're optimistic more so. So, man, Igbuka is probably gonna hit the ground running there. So I don't like that really. At all.
Jamie
I don't like it either. You know, this is, you know, the conversation we had a few weeks ago about drafting early versus drafting late, you know, so anybody drafting this weekend would never do that.
Dan
True.
Jamie
You know, at least for the most part. However, you just. We just did a whole episode on a draft that Stefan Diggs went before George Pickens. So.
Dan
Wow.
Jamie
People have an inkling on players that was analyst draft. And so sometimes you're going to have, you know, inclinations on players and you just may say, okay, Diggs is going to get locked into his role and have nobody to challenge for it. At least based on expectations. You asked the question earlier today, Adam. Would a buka. Can Chris Godwin get back to his rough Gary phrase it, but will Chris Godwin be fantasy relevant?
Adam
I think I said, who do you think will be better, Godwin or Abuka when God wins back? I. I gotta be honest with you. Like, he's coming off a major, major injury, had another surgery for it is gonna miss the first at least month. I am out on Chris Godwin. It could be stupid for me to say that because I was kind of out on him last year and he was the best pick. I don't remember if I was. I didn't have him. I don't know if I was out on him, but I have low expect. I have lowered expectations for Chris Godwin. Do you. Do you not feel that way? You're more optimistic?
Jamie
I. No, as I said this morning, I, I think there's a realistic chance he could be, you know, look, they're Managing the injury. You know, I, I don't want to say just because he was slow coming off an ACL tear. Yes, it's a major injury, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee he can't rebound from this injury quicker. And probably depending on how long or how well the team is doing, they'll determine how quickly they want to rush him back into a feature role.
Adam
All right, let's move forward to the grade, the trade segment of today's show. This is from Mike in Beaufort, South Carolina. I traded Travion Henderson and Brock Bowers for Bucky Irving and George Kittle. Remember, a C is average. So he gave.
Dan
Yeah, yeah. C plus. It's about average. Pretty straight up even trade.
Adam
Okay, yeah, I agree. This one is from Dan Schaefer. He's like the mascot of our Dan Schaefer guy. Yeah, he's very confusing. He's in a half PPR league. He made a series of trades. He originally had Malik neighbors, Puka Nakua, A.J. brown and Ken Walker.
Dan
Wow. Okay.
Adam
Malik, neighbors, Puka, A.J. brown.
Dan
How the hell do you end up with all those guys on one team and the keepers?
Adam
And then now through trades, he has instead of Malik, Puka, A.J. brown and Ken Walker, he has Bucky Irving, Chase Brown, Brian Thomas Jr. And Drake London.
Jamie
Wow, you upgraded slightly.
Dan
Yeah, I think it's an upgrade too.
Adam
C plus. And Mason traded Garrett Wilson for James Connor.
Dan
See, I'll go B, B, B plus for me. I. I have. Connor ranks pretty significantly higher than Garrett for me.
Adam
All right, people are curious. What did I say about the Georgia Bulldogs? We will tell you after this break on fantasy football Today.
Jamie
Disgusting.
Adam
Take as a scientist, I can tell you that Sundays are only 24 hours long, but with NFL Sunday Ticket and YouTube TV, you get every game, every Sunday, all in one play place. That's upwards of 30 hours of NFL in one day. How can there be 30 hours in 24 hours, you ask? I have a theory. Magic. New users get NFL Sunday ticket for rate payments of $34.50 per month. Sign up at NFLSundayTicket.com local and national games on YouTube TV. NFL Sunday Ticket for out of market games excludes digital only games and commercial use terms and embargoes apply. Availability varies. Labor Day savings are happening right now at the Home Depot.
Dan
So what are you working on?
Adam
Prep for fall with our wide selection of cordless power tools that make it.
Dan
Easy to clear your lawn starting at $79.
Adam
And once the leaves are clear, keep your yard looking fresh with colorful mums that bloom all season long shop Labor.
Dan
Day Savings now through September 3rd only.
Adam
At the Home Depot. See select stores for details. All right, we're back here on fft. So I'm missing a lot of the private chat, apparently. I gotta go ahead and read that. But go ahead, Dan. You can tell everybody the crazy thing I said before the show.
Dan
Before the show we're talking, Adam and I. I unfortunately had to watch my Wisconsin Badgers disgustingly win their first game, losing once again their first string quarterback injured probably for the year. This fickle error has been unbelievably bad. I think our just, our program's done. But his program, he's excited about, it's a Miami Hurricanes. They just had Cam Ward, exciting, fun year. They're ranked 10th. They're facing the sixth ranked Notre Dame. Adam's really excited for this weekend. And he said, and then he's excited. And I was like, well, I mean, you do have Carson Beck at quarterback. He's like, what do you mean, Carson Beck at quarterback? He's like, are you crazy? I have a take. He's the dark horse candidate to be the number one overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. This take is so beyond biased, so littered with just homerism that let me unpack it for him. Carson Beck has a good frame for the NFL. Met at best arm talent was propped up by playing with lad McConkey and Brock Bowers. And that offensive line and that offensive environment with a great defense was so bad last year when he was projected to potentially be the number one overall pick that he had to come back to college because he was such as this. You know, the draft analyst said to him, dude, don't come out this year, man. Like you might be like a 4th or 5th round pick type of thing. Comes back to college, still can't move, still has a best arm talent. And yet Adam thinks for some odd reason he's going to be the number one overall pick when all is said and done. Because when you go to Miami, all of a sudden you're a number one pick.
Adam
Yeah, first of all, I didn't say he was going to be. I said he was a dark horse candidate. Now, a year ago, a year ago today, Carson Beck was being talked about as the presumptive number one pick in the 2024 at one point. Hey, I'm just telling you that he was viewed that way, that Carson Beck was viewed that way. He had a disappointing but not bad season at Georgia and then he hurt his elbow. He's coming off a torn UCL so that contributed to him not going. But you know what? Cam Ward also was, you know, he wasn't really like a big winner at Washington State. He fumbled a lot and he thought about going to the NFL draft. He didn't. He went to Miami, played in a very good offensive system. The Hurricanes led the, led the nation in points scored last year. Played behind an amazing offensive line. It's going to be even better this year. So Carson Beck is going to be. Georgia led the nation in drops last season. Carson Beck is going to be behind one of the best offensive lines in football. And his receivers are not that good, I don't think, but they might surprise us. But I would say, I would say that I, I'm basing my opinion on what I've seen other analysts say about Carson.
Dan
Becky, not make your own opinion. You don't need to just go on. Other analysts.
Adam
I don't know. I don't watch college football like I watch the NFL. But other analysts seem to think, like, this is going to be great. And he was the most coveted quarterback in the transfer portal. Like, not even close. So you watch. You watch. It'll be a first round, I think.
Dan
Not only will he not be a first overall pick, he won't be a first round. I'll do a side bet with you on that.
Adam
Okay. All right, let's. Let's do.
Dan
Oh, look at this. Win for me. Look at this quick. Win for me. Jamie. I'm sure he's trolling me and sarcastic, but I just take it as he's not being sarcastic and he's telling me straight up. Dan, is that an O and O on your fridge indicated with the magnets? It's very clear.
Jamie
Yes.
Dan
Thank you. Giants record.
Adam
How could anyone see that if the mic stand is in the way?
Dan
Now, now the mic is in the way, but you can see that. Oh, and O. Jamie loves this one. This is a Jamie favorite right here.
Adam
I guess if you're watching and you exp. I'm going to expand the screen.
Dan
Can I. I'll figure this out later. I'll make it clear as we move forward through the year, things will improve in general with this background. I added a Giants football back there. Things are getting better.
Adam
All right. I could see the. Oh, no, I. I mean, it looks like eyes. I never would have thought that's a record. But o. Anyway, Fantasy Cops time. This one is from Dan. Different Dan. We have a league that's been running for 15 years with a bunch of college friends. $200 buy in. Anyway, a Newer guy has been auto drafting every year for the last three years. I think autodraft ruins the draft experience because anytime someone slips an ADP autodraft snatches them up. The autodraft guy ends up with the best draft grade every year, which probably emboldens him to do it every year. He pays his dues every year and sets his lineup. The only issue is the auto draft. Am I insane for wanting to kick him out of the league due to auto drafting every year?
Jamie
If he pays his dues and sets his lineup, who cares what he does on the draft?
Adam
You're insane, Dan.
Dan
I completely disagree with that.
Adam
Yeah, both Dan's are insane then because you can't kick him out.
Dan
Why would you want someone in your league who's not drafting and playing fantasy?
Jamie
No, he's playing.
Adam
Yeah, he is playing.
Dan
It's not about wanting fantasy is the draft. You want to draft your own team, there's just more people you can get in the league or be more interested in this league.
Adam
Okay, kick him out.
Dan
Maybe he is interested and I've misread the situation and he just thinks his best strategy is to auto draft. I guess that is possible.
Adam
So kick him out.
Jamie
So let's, let's say if he. We don't know the situation, let's say he comes to the draft live, in person. But it's like, you know what, I just want to hang out my buddies and have fun and that I like and I'm gonna let the auto draft take care of it, I guess.
Dan
If they're doing a live draft, would they even have an auto draft? They do it live and on the computer, I guess.
Adam
Dan. Yeah, that's a good point. Actually. It's probably not a live draft.
Dan
They're all putting stickers on the board.
Adam
He's like, I could see it.
Jamie
I didn't even know what that would go to.
Dan
But yeah, look, I guess don't kick him out, but ask him to play Fantasy Man.
Adam
All right, all right, you're done. This one is from a concerned citizen from Durham. Dear John, Clarence, Neil and Brett.
Dan
No idea.
Jamie
John, Clarence, Neil and Brett.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
Kansas City Royals pitchers. What?
Adam
Oh, Saberhagen. I don't even know who you're talking.
Dan
I love that name. Brett Saber again.
Adam
We just completed our league's draft on Tuesday night. We got one keeper each that counts in the round, drafted the prior year. The next day the commissioner reached out to a couple of us who have been commissioner in the past. It's his first year as commission after he realized that one Player's keeper was not set to a specific round during the draft. So that player got what should have been a 9th round keeper as his 16th round pick. We kicked around a couple of ideas including restarting the draft after his ninth round keeper, docking some of his fab. I didn't like it since he didn't make the mistake or docking the commissioner's fab for screwing up. We will probably put it to vote. But what do you all think we should do? In all the years I've done this, this is a first.
Dan
That's a tough one. I don't think any of those ideas were good to start. Do you think any of them were good, Jamie?
Jamie
So he didn't know that notice this himself?
Adam
No, I guess they didn't notice until after the fact.
Jamie
Or did he just be like, oh hey, by the way.
Dan
Yeah, who noticed it eventually and how is it not noticeable in draft?
Adam
Yeah, I don't know.
Jamie
I think you have to in some way penalize both the commissioner and the manager for this happening.
Dan
Because how you.
Jamie
Would, that's the question is like how do you punish them?
Dan
So it's the first time fantasy cops, Jamie.
Adam
I like redrafting from the. From round nine. What do you think?
Dan
How long ago was the draft?
Adam
Two nights ago.
Jamie
It's 16 rounds. So you got to do two nights ago.
Adam
You said three nights of Tuesday night.
Dan
Okay, then I'm okay with that. If it wasn't that, I guess if.
Jamie
Everybody'S okay with that, that's fine. But if they're not okay with that and you're just keeping it as it is, you just give them some sort of penalty next year. So I'm sorry, every keeper is round nine or later?
Adam
No, no, it's just that. No, it's that this guy was supposed to have. Okay. After he realized that one player's keeper was not set to a specific round. So. Okay, so he, he set the guy's keeper to like the 16th round, but he was supposed to have set it to the ninth.
Jamie
Okay. So if you do not want to redraft, what I would suggest is that whatever player he decides to keep next year should have some sort of penalty attached to it. So whether it's, let's say it's around nine. Keeper again now that player is round seven. Okay.
Adam
All right, Good stuff.
Jamie
And maybe the commission loses the round.
Adam
Punish the commission.
Dan
I love it.
Adam
From Michael. I'm in an 18 team guillotine league that has allowed trading with fab and players in the past. A $1,000 fab budget. Okay. After the draft, I publicly worked a trade with the Jamar Chase manager. Jamar Chase and James Cook for Matthew golden and $950 of fab. Remember the budget. The budget is a thousand and it's a Guillotine league. So the Chase manager would give up Chase and Cook and he would get golden and 950 of fab.
Dan
Interesting.
Adam
The commissioner vetoed it. He was scared.
Dan
No, that's a really creative, interesting trade that should never get vetoed.
Adam
Okay.
Dan
Why. Why are we penalizing people for getting creative and.
Jamie
Is that the question? Is that the question? Should it be vetoed?
Adam
Yes.
Dan
No.
Jamie
Yeah, that's Dan's right. Like the. This. I. I'll say this. This is gonna sound crazy. The 950 is more valuable than Jamar Chase.
Dan
I kind of agree with that. I was gonna say the same thing. All he has to do is get through week one and he's just rolling in it from that.
Jamie
To have nineteen hundred and fifty dollars for the rest of the season is so much more valuable than anything else.
Dan
I agree.
Adam
Maybe Vito, the other. For the other reason. Maybe the guy gave up too much.
Jamie
Okay.
Adam
Don't feed it.
Dan
Including golden. And I think a 950 straight up for those two is. Is maybe even too much.
Jamie
That's. That's. So I just started a startup. Guillotine.
Dan
Are we trading in that? Are trades allowed in that? No, I. I don't think they usually aren't in Guillotine.
Jamie
I don't think you should have trading in Guillotine.
Dan
I agree.
Jamie
Because of how the waiver wire is. I'm so pissed off at Adam that he didn't want to do it.
Dan
Yeah. Why didn't you do this league with us, Adam?
Adam
You know, I'm in three extra leagues. I'm. I'm up to close to four.
Dan
I'm in a lot of extra leagues too, but I just figured this one would be fun to do different. And it gives podcast fodder for the mailbags. If one. If two of us make a run or something. If two of the three, if you were in it, but I guess not.
Adam
I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Dan
It's okay. I don't know if this draft's ever gonna finish by the start of the season.
Adam
Jamie.
Dan
I'm gonna be honest.
Jamie
I'm gonna change the clock after today. I want to see how the first couple days ago. I do know the real reason why ads not in it. Because he suddenly hates Nando, and Nando's in the league with us.
Adam
Oh, I didn't know that. I want to speak.
Dan
Nando Beef that I don't know about.
Adam
No, there's no beef. He's not as one of my best friends. All right, we only have, like six minutes left, so let's get to that.
Jamie
Hold the auction for us. We're fine.
Adam
Apple podcast questions here. 10 team half PPR from. This one's from Tom. Should I drop a bench player or my current tight end for Dalton Kincaid? He's the best available tight end on waivers. My current tight end is Loveland. My other players to drop would be Crosky Merritt, Jordan Addison, or Caleb Johnson.
Dan
I would just go one tight end. Yeah. In that scenario, and I think I'm fine either way. I think Loveland will get off to a hotter start than most do, but Kincaid's more than more likely to get off to a better start if you're looking at it like that.
Adam
Okay, this is from Shaggy. 10 team, two QB league.
Dan
Girl, you're my angel. Shaggy, the one doing Sonic, isn't on the counter.
Adam
Oh, no. Shaggy was the other one.
Dan
The other one. Okay.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
Not bad. Is that better or worse than my Eddie?
Adam
Better, worse, Worse.
Jamie
I think they're both awful, but yeah, sure, go ahead.
Dan
No, the Vetter was better than you think.
Adam
Jamie, did you hear me?
Dan
I've gotten compliments on that better impression.
Adam
Jamie, did you hear me sing for. For Chad Smith?
Jamie
Not yet. No.
Dan
That was. That was rough. But it's not rough. Not getting it wasn't.
Jamie
It was good. It was good.
Dan
Oh, what?
Jamie
That.
Dan
That interview was really entertaining. I suggest it. A lot of people are probably just into us for the fantasy season. I get it. But go back and watch that interview. I thought it was very entertaining.
Adam
Thank you. What is the question here?
Dan
I don't know. We're off the rails now.
Adam
This is a very long one.
Dan
All right.
Adam
I'm in a 10 team, two QB league where the past three seasons only three or four quarterbacks have gone off the board in the first two rounds. Last year I. Last year I adjusted to the draft style. Whereas one manager finally drafted like a typical 2QB league, taking Allen and Hertz in the first two rounds. He finished 7 and 6, one win short of the 14 playoffs. How would you draft in a league like this? 10 team, two quarterbacks every year I've taken an elite quarterback and a top skill position player with my first two picks and I finished top four each year. I'm sorry to say it. I feel like you're answering the question for us. I Feel like you've. You're doing it the right way.
Dan
I don't, I don't know though. The fact that the guy who drafted two elite quarterbacks and they actually ended up both being elite didn't win the league leads me to believe that maybe we all are off when it comes to Super Flex 2 quarterback type formats. Because how do you not win the league with those two?
Adam
I wouldn't never take he.
Dan
But they did hit those two.
Adam
He took Allen and Hertz, but I would never take two elite quarterbacks. I mean I, if I could get.
Dan
Alan, I felt, you know, you never had this opportunity in Super Flex or 2QB so you never would consider it. But those guys did play out as the two. As to the elite guys and we know from last year the elite scorers, there was a big drop off between them and the next quarterbacks. I don't know how that team didn't win.
Jamie
I think the, the problem though is like a, you got to land those two quarterbacks and you know, at least the last two seasons a guy that has been top three on draft day is Mahomes, who hasn't been the only.
Adam
Quarterback this show turning into a damn acapella group. According to Andrew.
Jamie
Yeah, Donnie Airport had the best comment.
Adam
Oh, I missed it. Let's see.
Dan
Adam and Dan won't be my first picks for karaoke partner.
Adam
Yeah. What would we do if we were gonna do, you know, what we should do? You know the song 500 miles and I would walk five. Yeah, we could do that like a duet and then you go. Exactly.
Dan
Great song.
Adam
Okay, this is from Bill. Please let me know what you think about these players in non PPR every once in a while. I'm not drafting Camara or Garrett Wilson.
Dan
Yeah, I love that. I don't want him in PBR either. So.
Adam
Yeah, I know, you're right. Those are two guys that really jump out as being worse than non PPR significantly. This is from Jerome. Why is Dave and others so low on the Bears and their offensive line but yet so high on the Jags and their offensive line isn't good at.
Dan
All, I think for day. I can't speak for Dave, but I know Dave was at the joint practices with the Bears and that's shaping his opinion on the. On the team. He didn't. And that's something I heard. You know, we saw Taron Armstead, former Miami Dolphins left tackle, talk about those joint practices and be like, look, when teams are actually scheming to stop Caleb and Ben, they're getting There because they're confusing him with post snap safety rotations and blitzes. That's the type of stuff you see in the regular season, the preseason. You never see that. You see vanilla defense. So it could be an ugly start for the Bears offense.
Adam
All right, this is from. Let's see.
Jamie
It's always interesting when you get coaches coming from perfect situations like Ben Johnson, Lions and how do they adjust the.
Dan
Best center and the best right tackle in the NFL. Last year he had. He won't have that this year.
Adam
All right, rate my team. True a six team PPR league.
Jamie
It's an A plus plus. Next.
Adam
Mahomes, Gibbs, McCaffrey, McConkey, Brian Thomas Jr. Garrett Wilson and my flex is Bishon Robinson.
Dan
So. Yeah, that's funny. I guess. What? I don't know.
Adam
It's good. Yeah, you win.
Dan
16 league doesn't though. It's 16 league. All these teams are stacked. Who knows?
Adam
Yeah, I don't know.
Dan
I've never.
Adam
This is a last one. I'll read here is. Oh, this one says best episode ever from Brian Pineapple. Jamie as host is goaded. Only wish he could have Dan as co host every show.
Dan
This is a shocking read from you, Adam. I think you're honestly doing this mostly to dissuade people who have accused you, rightfully so, of only reading questions that put you in a good light.
Adam
Rightfully so. Wait, how can you say rightfully so in there? Like, why would you say that? The.
Dan
The questions speak for themselves. The history with the show. We know it, Jamie knows it, I know it. We all know it.
Jamie
Adam is the best host we have and will ever have. I host differently than Adam does. And so there are people that prefer very small minority. Me hosting the Adam.
Dan
Adam is the best show. I don't know.
Adam
I don't know if it's a minority at all.
Dan
Straight up.
Adam
Yeah, Well, I don't know if that's true either. We got some very, very.
Jamie
I prefer when Adam hosts the show.
Adam
Very talented people. Oh. I prefer when Jamie hosts. If I'm on as an analyst. I love being there. Like, oh, it's so much easier to be there. Yeah.
Dan
You never get to play that. We should do a couple of those this season where one Jamie or Dave is the host and you're on analyst role.
Adam
Oh.
Dan
I mean, you think that's the easier role?
Adam
So much easier. It's not even close.
Jamie
It's not the on air stuff. It's the pre planning stuff.
Dan
It's the pre planning stuff for me.
Adam
It's both like, if I. If I do a cbs. I've done CBS sports network shows where I've hosted, and I've done where I think you've hosted. Right. And I been the analyst or whatever. And it's. It's almost like it feels like a job when I'm hosting, and it feels like I'm making a guest appearance, like, for fun when I'm not hosting.
Jamie
Yes.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
It's an interesting way to look at it.
Adam
And what did say. Someone say? Someone said Adam sucks. I prefer you three. Between us, I don't know who you're talking to. Yeah, you too, maybe. Oh, this one Adam has gotten somewhat better. Thank you. I do appreciate that.
Jamie
Compliment.
Adam
Yeah. Oh, new Adam is great.
Jamie
Unreal.
Adam
That's great. Adam is a great host. Terrible cook. I actually made some very nice chicken strips last night. They were very good.
Jamie
Chicken strips.
Dan
What are those?
Adam
It was like chicken cutlets. It was like chicken fingers. Chicken fingers. It was like homemade chicken fingers. Yeah.
Dan
So, okay, so what'd you do with it?
Adam
You got some raw chicken. You dip it in egg.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
You got breadcrumbs, bread crumbs with salt.
Dan
Pepper, garlic powder, meat chicken cutlets is what you're saying.
Adam
Yeah, but they were like. Yes. Garlic powder, onion powder, and some grated cheese in there. And then put them in the air fryer. But you got to do the. Spray olive oil on both sides. Spray olive oil.
Jamie
Okay.
Dan
I mean, yeah, that's. I guess it's kind of chicken fingers.
Adam
We're supposed to be done by now, but I guess they'll hold up the auction. Okay, here's a question I was looking for. Questions suspended 10 Team PPR I have Charbonnet and Mason. Would you drop one of them for Ali Gordon or Dylan Sampson? Charbonnet and. Or Mason.
Jamie
No.
Dan
No. Yeah. No, I couldn't either.
Adam
From Thomas, Barkley and Pickens. Or Genti and McLaurin.
Jamie
Barclay and Pickens.
Adam
Genti and McClure.
Dan
Yeah, no, I'm going Barclay and Pickens for sure.
Adam
Okay.
Dan
I have both those pickens ranked ahead of Scary Terry.
Jamie
Same.
Dan
All right.
Adam
Really not getting a lot of. Yeah, okay. There's chicken strips. Okay, fine. To chicken nuggets. Or chicken cutlets, whatever you want to call them. That's it. That's. I'm really not seeing any questions. Has Dan ever been to a Grateful Dead show?
Dan
Yeah, just Dead and co. I'm too young for the real deal, unfortunately. I would have loved to take a time machine back. There was a concert. I could take a time machine back to it was Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers at the same show. I think it was somewhere in New York. My God. I can't think of a better show than that.
Adam
What? I'm going to see Sam Fender in three weeks. Fired up for that. What am I missing?
Dan
Where?
Adam
You should come. No joke. Friday night, Terminal 5 in.
Dan
I love Terminal. I was thinking of a different place. I like Pier 17. Terminal 5 is not my favorite venue, but. But what? But when is it?
Adam
September 19th, Friday night.
Dan
I have a Volp pack show at MSG that might be that. And then I have Joe Russo, almost dead. J Rad. Like somewhere in the September range. As long as it's not that I will consider it. As long as not that night I will consider.
Adam
Okay. What am I missing with Luther Burden? If we're so in love with Four Bears catcher, shouldn't Caleb Williams be a top 10 quarterback?
Jamie
They are not all going to just start. They are not. If the draft started, then I'm out. So somebody. He could take somebody.
Dan
The drafts just started.
Adam
All right, you guys can go. I'll just read a few questions.
Dan
All right.
Jamie
All right.
Dan
Crazy.
Jamie
They're not all gonna hit. And that's the problem, is that you're not going to get Loveland and more. And Odunze and Caleb Williams, he also likes the case.
Dan
Let's put that out there because it's true and he's looked good.
Jamie
And Zacchaeus. Yes. There's. There's not going to be all of them playing at a high level. So just be prepared that unless Caleb Williams is generational and all these guys can eat, it's going to be a letdown for somebody. But that's kind of where they're going in drafts. You know, they're not all going in the same range.
Adam
This is from Jared. Should I trade Bijan Robinson for Chase Brown and a high end wide receiver in a 10 team league?
Dan
I would.
Jamie
Yeah. And Brian Thomas Jr.
Adam
Okay.
Dan
Yeah. There we go.
Adam
What are your thoughts on Mason Taylor?
Jamie
Great sleeper.
Dan
Not for this year.
Adam
Two toppings only on pizza.
Dan
This is where things get interesting. My favorite topping on a pizza, very controversial. Bacon.
Adam
Not that controversial. It's terrific.
Dan
Nobody orders it.
Jamie
Nobody orders chicken.
Adam
Bacon Ranch is a very popular slice.
Dan
My second favorite would be buffalo chicken.
Adam
I would go with two toppings only. I would go with ham and pineapple or a complete opposite direction. Grilled chicken and mushrooms.
Dan
That's good. I've never tried bacon and buffalo chicken. I bet that'd be amazing on the same pie.
Adam
All right, we are gonna go here.
Dan
It's time. Time to do the auction real quick.
Jamie
So what do we learn? A sandwich.
Dan
Sorry. Adam thinks Carson Beck's gonna be the number one overall pick. The number one overall pick.
Adam
Okay. Could be a Chan and Tyreek Hill update. Tyreekill's gonna play week one. We don't know about a Chan yet. I wouldn't be surprised if he sits. Thanks so much for watching. Listening, everybody. Enjoy your Labor Day.
Dan
Thank you. Monday, go play some golf. This weekend.
Jamie
