And as I mentioned before the show, which got a massive response from Jamie, as it should, if the Giants can win this weekend by at least two scores, and I'm thinking between two and three scores, I will start to get very irrational about the Thursday night football game at home against the Eagles the following week.

All right, news and notes. We actually do have Giants news. They're always one of the first to practice, so we get their injury report early. But according to CBS Sports, there's a report that they're optimistic that Brock Bowers, even if he does not play a practice today, that he will play on Sunday at Indianapolis. So optimism for Brock Bowers, but optimism.

If you have Brock Bowers. You should. You don't have to do anything now but think about other options. Tampa Bay defensive backs Christian Izzy and Jamel Dean are unlikely to play, so that could help Sam Darnold and Tyrone Tracy has not been ruled out this week. There's a chance he can play. He's doing better with the shoulder. I'm sure we're still going to like Scatter Boo better. But if Tracy plays, Jamie, you have Scatter Boo ahead of Alvin Camara ahead of I think, I think you said you had him ahead of Rico Dowdle.

Ahead of Derek Henry.

[Adam]

Yeah. So if Tracy plays, what would that do to the ranking of Scatter Boo?

[Jamie]

I'll drop him a couple spots, but I still think he's the best running back for the Giants and the matchups too good. So he'll still be a number two running back. Where he'll settle will probably be in that Dowdle Rashad White range. So probably a little behind Henry and probably behind Woody Marks.

Adam cheats one I'm like behind now on two show. I've got a lot of shows catch up on this weekend, but I've been formed to not listen to a certain portion, so I gotta, like, figure it out as I'm driving this weekend. But what. What did he cheat this time? What did he do this time?

And I did not use that player. Traded somebody totally different.

I added Darren Waller, and then I traded Justice Hill.

This is risky to say, but I don't really like how on our site you can add more players than you should be able to because.

Well, I agreed with it and I dropped the player.

But the injury.

Yeah. That was crazy. When you do that stuff and start touching other people's rosters.

Okay, so that's pretty insane, Adam. You can't just drop players from people's rosters.

No, that's. First of all, I said to Jamie, I gave him about a week and a half to drop a player. He was not doing it. I then texted him and said, if you don't drop a player by 1pm Eastern or whatever it was, I'm going to drop this player.

[Dan]

Yeah, but he was on HQ and he was working.

[Adam]

No, Oak. Stop. I gave him 10 days. He was on HQ in a 10 day marathon on HQ. He didn't do it. I finally dropped the guy. All right, now moving on.

So basically what you're telling me is Jamie delivered an excellent start sit that week, but it would have been an hour later if he had to focus on your drama that you couldn't just. Since you just dropped his team. And so I guess if he had just put his team ahead of work, I guess you would have not dropped the player on his team.

10 days to drop a player who nobody even picked up. All right, this is from Jake.

I'm thinking of offering Metcalf and Olave for CD Lamb, but if I do that, my bench options would be IO Manor and Christian Kirk. So would you offer Metcalf and Olave for Lamb?

Absolutely. Three receiver league, three and one. 100%.

[Dan]

It's too good of a deal to not do. There is definitely. There are definitely some good underlying metrics though, when it comes to Olave. So he's not a player that I think is just a throwing in this deal. I like him rest of season. I don't want to make that clear. But the upside of Lamb, it's too much to give up. Of course, factoring in like players coming back from the high angle sprain is never great.

[Adam]

That's interesting that you find good underlying numbers because I actually went through it for Olave and didn't really see it. I mean, other than his target per out run rate. But he's got one of the lowest yards per route, running yards per target and yards per catch this team. He has no yak. I mean, that's gonna change because you can't have like a 1.2 yard yak. That's ridiculous. But this team doesn't throw deep. They can't throw deep. They actually do throw deep a decent amount, but they never connect. They don't score a lot of touchdowns. So I think a lot better or.

[Jamie]

Worse for Olave when they make a quarterback change.

[Adam]

I don't know that they are going to make a quarterback change, but I would say worse.

[Jamie]

I mean, the two of you have them going on four after losing by two touchdowns to the Giants this weekend.

[Adam]

I'd say worse if they make a change.

[Jamie]

Personally, I would think worse too.

It's possible. Like for me, when I was referring to Adam was just how he's playing, like less. So what these. Some of these numbers are relying on like the Quarterback in the system. Just how he's getting open looks good, but. So it would stand to believe that maybe a quarterback change could help that, but I just don't see that with Tyler Shuck. So I. I would say probably worse too.

Diggs is a borderline starter now. He may ascend to a point where you regret this trade and Obviously you have McCaffrey positive now. He's amazing. Negative. Is, is he getting too much work? Could he break down? But I think this is a great trade. You're getting the best player on one side and you're giving up and the other side is getting two, two quality stars.

We do majority votes on the trades. So six vetoes and the trade is nullified. Some people felt the trade was lopsided. Again. It was DK Metcalf and Trevion Henderson for Amon Ra St. Brown in a 12 team league and they began vetoing. The original Amon Ra St. Brown manager ended up getting a better offer. So he also wanted the trade to be vetoed in order to receive more for Amon Ra St. Brown. So it stood at five votes for a while and then got a sixth veto vote. I didn't pay attention to it and the trade ended up going through. But it shows that the six people vetoed the trade. And one of the vetoes was the manager, the Amon Ra manager who actually made the trade. So I asked.

Yeah. I asked ChatGPT to look through Sleeper's rules and also contacted Sleeper support and both of them said that a manager's vote on their own trade does not count. His veto should that. You cannot veto a trade that you are in. This is also just like a classic example of why I don't believe in vetoing in leagues. I think a every trade should go through and if you have any questions about a trade, then you need to consider removing managers from the league because it's either collusion or you don't believe these managers are fit to be playing in the league. But this is a great example. We can't just leave it up to. Because one thing I hate about the leagues where you do let these, like, vetoes take down trades. Like, it could be voted down with six or seven vetoes. What are you putting that up for, Adam? I don't have a teeth.

[Adam]

We go through this. We go through this, though. We. Every week it's the same thing. Don't do vetoes. Don't do. Like. I know that.

[Dan]

No, because, like, it's not. I don't like the idea of, like, if a person doesn't like a trade, like, because a lot of people who veto trades when I'm in these leagues just veto it because they think it's not. It's going to help another team and doesn't. And then doesn't help their team.

[Adam]

It's bad.

[Dan]

It's a selfish reason for vetoing it and it's unfair.

[Adam]

But it's not the issue here. Like, we know everyone should know at this point that we only accept veto as basically for collusion. Or if it is so lopsided that it's going to just disrupt the league or something. So we would never veto this trade of ST Brown for DK Metcalf and Trayvon Henderson. Even though I think it's a terrible trade, we would never veto it. But the question was, can one manager's veto count if he's involved in the trade? And we are saying no.

[Dan]

No. Well, that if you're going to play in the League of Vetoes.

[Jamie]

It. It probably should not be six. You should probably just have it as five. And the two people involved in the trade are not allowed to contribute.

[Adam]

I have Lamb, Evans, Tyreek hill, Brian Thomas Jr. Which wide receiver would you try and move to help my or which running back. Which running back would you try and move to help my wide receivers? That's Taylor, Javante, Hampton and Woody Marks.

[Jamie]

Marks will be the first one I try and trade just because we don't know how good he'll be long term. I mean, it's great that he did that against the Titans. He's probably going to do well against the Ravens. They have a buy next week and then who knows what this offense looks like coming out of the buy if he continues to be the lead running back. But it would be either between him or Javante, you know, just capitalizing on. On the hot start and or current performance for. For Marks. If you could turn those guys into solid receiving options.

[Dan]

I think it's up. I think it's close. For me, Marks is definitely up there, but for me, it would definitely be trying to trade o' Marion over Javante. I again, I'm very worried and concerned about the state of the Chargers offensive line and how it moves forward. They're already like 30th in yards created before last week, even before the injuries. And I believe in Javante Williams. I think he. We just did our rankings on beyond the box for this week. We re ranked all the players. We, Jacob and I both believe Javante is a borderline top 25 player rest of season. And there's. I don't really See any reason not to believe it at this point? Based on what he's done individually, how he looks on tape, all of the. The situation is just as good as it gets for Javante. I'm not sure any running back really, besides McCaffrey has a. Has a much better situation rest of season.

[Adam]

I sent a trade offer for CD Lam to come to me, and I would give Cam Scatter Boo and Matthew Golden. He countered with Dak Prescott instead of Matthew golden, and I accepted. So he basically gave up Scatterboo and Dak for or Lamb. The whole league is upset that this trade went through. What do you think? It's full ppr, if that matters.

[Dan]

One qb, I assume. Yeah, big difference. Yeah. I mean, look, it's. It's a horrific trade, right? Like, is there any way around it? I mean, it's fine. I would pass it through, but it's just a bad trade.

[Jamie]

It's. I mean, it's bad based on names. It's not bad if you're stuck right now. So if your quarterback situation is a mess and obviously you can't play Lamb and you can use Scatter Boo at a running back reflex spot like. Like, what's the records of these two teams? Like? You know, there are a lot of things that come into play here when you're talking about giving up injured players or suspended players. Like in the case of Rashi Rice, I don't want my season to be lost because I'm waiting out CD Lamb to come back.

[Dan]

Yeah, but what's your season worth if you get a win or two now, but then you're stuck with, like, Scatter Boo and a timeshare and Tracy on a bad offense, and then we don't know when.

[Jamie]

I agree with you, Dan, but, like, if, if, if there was a definitive timeline, like, it seems like he's gonna be back sooner rather than later because he's out of the walking boot and trying to do some stuff at practice, at least individually. But this could still be another four weeks of no CD Lamp. Like, yeah, your fantasy season may be done by then.

[Dan]

Yeah, that's fair. I mean, either way, I think you're in a bad spot, though, to me, because if you're, you're making the trade, I guess it can help for now. Tracy, not even ruled out for this week, though. Like what? You know, like, it could get ugly fast. And, and what does Dak do for your team in a one QB league?

[Jamie]

No, I, I, I, I totally agree. I think that the problem with a lot of fantasy managers is, and, and we're guilty of this too, is you look at your team and two and two, one and three, oh, and four, whatever the case may be, and you're like, all right, if, if I get this guy back or, you know, this and this happens, I can win. But you get a trade offer and instead of just saying, oh, can I make this work with this manager or this trade makes sense because I love Scatter Boo for this week, you be the aggressor. You go out and make trade offers. You know, like, this is supposed to be fun, right? That's the bottom line why we do this. Fantasy football supposed to be fun. And when you get off to a bad start because of people like us giving you bad advice or players struggling or whatever the case may be, why your fantasy season has gone south, you have the ability to still make it an enjoyable experience if you can. Now, it's not give CD Lamb away. It's not give Rashi Rice away, Mike Evans away, anybody. That's not helping you right now, but you can turn that into something hopefully of significance. I got a trade off for Adam. You, you referenced it the other day. It was, I think I'm one in three in this league, but I, again, I like my team, but 1 and 3 just lost Tyree kill and don't have CD Lamb. So I got offered Jamar Chase and Tony Pollard for CD Lamb and Josh Jacobs, and I can't play Jacobs this week and I don't have Lamb this week. I hate the trade, so I'm not going to accept it. But now I need to turn around and try and see if I can trade CD Lamb for something that might be able to help me because otherwise I'm done in that league.

[Adam]

Yeah.

[Jamie]

So, like, in your case, Dan, I know it's a. It's a dice league. You lost some elite neighbors. Right. How can you still, as a three in one team, still make it to where you're competitive? And so in that case, you're trading draft picks or you're trading, you know, young players for superstars. Like, there's still ways to make this for sure work. Now, again, scatterbooing and Dak for Lamb sucks on paper, but four weeks of zero versus maybe a win or two, you're still alive.

[Dan]

I will say one thing, though, on this, because that's important, because I see this happen. It's happened in my home leagues, happen in multiple leagues, where people are panicking for the reasons you outline. I think you're 100, right, Jamie, on what your core idea is here. But make sure, because nobody does this. Make sure before you hit that accept button, you shop to the league. I'm giving away CD Lamp. Can you beat this offer? It takes a few minutes of your time, and nobody does this. They just talk the deal out with somebody, and then they put it through the league, and I'm pressing it through. And then people are like, why did that trade just happen? And the reason it happened is because you were giving up a great player and you didn't take the time to go through every person in the league and be like, I'm about to trade Lamb. Here's what I'm getting. Can you beat this offer? It takes no time to do that, really. You know, a little bit of time, but it's so worth it. And it's not a bad. You're not, like, doing anything wrong. You're doing the right thing there.

[Jamie]

I, I agree with you. And just think about the fantasy cops question. We got the dk, Metcalf, whatever it was, DK and Trevion for Amara St. Brown. The guy vetoed it because he got a better offer. Well, he didn't get the better offer until he was. They were aware that.

[Dan]

Right. That he was on the block.

[Jamie]

That he was on the block. And so I, I. You're. You're 1000% right. When you're in these type of situations, you can be transparent. And I know it comes across as you're being desperate. Yes.

[Dan]

You're desperate because so what, you have 12 people, 11 people trying to make you trades then. And someone will beat that offer, and you could leverage one offer against the other. Yeah.

I think I'd rather have Quentin Johnson at this point. Like, he's. Yeah, he's looked so awesome. Jacoby Myers has been good at times this year and a little unlucky. I think last week was a little unlucky because of Geno Smith's two horrible throws that were targeted for him. He had seven targets in that game. But Johnston, like, with the way that he's playing at this point, the wheels could easily come off. But Justin Herbert's dialed in with him, and I think that's a pretty good trade.

[Adam]

You'd rather have Quentin Johnston than Nico Collins rest of season?

[Jamie]

I'd rather have the combination. If I need receiver depth, Quentin Johnston and Devonte Smith than, yeah, just Nico Collins. But again, this is one of those deals we might be able to do better.

[Dan]

So, yeah, I'm keeping Nico personally in that. And then as far as, like, if I need to move him, I'm probably looking for something better just because. So hard for me to get on board with either Devonte Smith or Quinton. The Johnson thing I want to believe in and I believe in the player. I'm just very, very nervous about what's going to happen to this Chargers offense. I think the situation is dire on.

[Adam]

The offensive line, but he's not out for the year, Joe Alt.

[Dan]

So I know it's not just Joe Alt. They have injuries at other spots on the offensive line.

[Adam]

They have one guy who's out for the year. It's not like they can't get healthier.

[Dan]

It might take Zion Johnson looks terrible at left guard. I mean, looks good on that line.

[Adam]

I get that. But it looks better than the. Than the Texans or they're both in horrible situations. What I would do. Yeah, I would try to get.

That's exactly what I was going to say. Johnston and Myers for Nico would be more interesting. Nico's got some issues. Nico had a busted coverage 50 yard touchdown this year.

Every single week they talk about Carson Beck being so underrated. Remember like I said a year ago, preseason, he was the number one quarterback prospect for the NFL draft or two depending on whose list. And then he had a terrible year. People like him. I don't really like him that much.

For in the end he was mostly number one because it was deemed to be a bad quarterback. Plus where no one at that point has standed out and stood out.

Like did you think? Did you think. I still don't think Jackson Dart should have been a first round pick. He was not. He's not a first round prospect, but someone I think could take a chance.

On a guy like Carson Jackson Dart actually looks like he can play football.

And end it with this. So I don't want anybody to take this as fantasy vice because I, I believe I agree with what Dave and Jamie said about Bo Nicks. You should probably be conservative with him and sit him.

I feel like Bo Nick's gonna have a great game and the Broncos are going to put up a big number and beat the Eagles this week. I don't know if that's bold, but I got this gut feeling Bo Nix.

[Dan]

Is, I bet against that he's not.

[Adam]

A very good, you know, if he sits in the pocket, he's not that great. But he makes enough of these off script great plays. I think he's going to do that one or two times and the Broncos are going to have a big game here and give the Eagles their first loss of the year.

[Dan]

Bo Nix, we went over it this week on beyond the box score, has had 4.7 seconds to throw in the pocket, the most by far in the NFL and he has the worst on target rate on downfield throws this season.

[Adam]

Did you say, did you said time to throw in the pocket or time.

Yeah, I know you're saying if he gets out of the pocket, but most plays are from within the pocket. Like how many times?
