This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. Wanna play? Can you believe this? No, I can't.
Adam
It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Off to the races and he stays at his feet.
Dan
Chris is gonna go the distance. Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath. It's mailbag time.
Adam
Here we go. We're happy. We're fired up. We've got the case of the Fridays and we're read to rock and roll. Welcome to Fantasy Football Today presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas. I gotta tell you, we got a lot of starter Sid questions today. These are some of the worst starter Sid questions we've had in years. I. I haven't gotten any good ones. They're all about like Amari di Marcato. But this is what I got. So this is what I'm reading. We also have some good trade questions. Good fan, really funny fantasy cops question at least.
Jamie
Yeah, we got a fantasy cop for you, cheater.
Adam
All right.
Dan
Oh, he did it again. What did he do now?
Adam
Anything. But I have a question first. Just real quick, Dan, who bought you. Just seriously, like, who bought you that sweatshirt that you're wearing?
Dan
I got huge compliments on this sweatshirt on the big Blue Banter podcast. Somebody even texted me DM me and said, where'd you get that sweatshirt? I want to get it.
Adam
Yes. What's the answer? You didn't answer the question.
Dan
I got it.
Adam
Okay, good. I didn't want to insult it if your mom or something. I got it for you or as a gift or something.
Dan
It's a great.
Adam
It's a ridiculous sweatshirt. It looks like something I would have worn in middle school. And I even popped on to beyond the Box Score. This is a little promo for beyond the Box Score, which is doing great. Please watch it. I popped on while it was live on yesterday. Yesterday. And I made fun of you for the sweatshirt. I guess you never saw the comment.
Dan
And then. I wish I had.
Adam
And you're wearing it again. You cannot wear it on consecutive days.
Dan
I love this budget. And as I mentioned before the show, which got a massive response from Jamie, as it should, if the Giants can win this weekend by at least two scores, and I'm thinking between two and three scores, I will start to get very irrational about the Thursday night football game at home against the Eagles the following week.
Jamie
You mean the Saquon Barkley Invitational, where He goes for 200 yards and reminds people about who he is again?
Dan
Yes.
Adam
Yeah, that's going to happen.
Dan
That one.
Adam
All right, news and notes. We actually do have Giants news. They're always one of the first to practice, so we get their injury report early. But according to CBS Sports, there's a report that they're optimistic that Brock Bowers, even if he does not play a practice today, that he will play on Sunday at Indianapolis. So optimism for Brock Bowers, but optimism.
Dan
For a 2.2.1 average depth of target.
Jamie
Please, please post Brosy Brom's chat comment.
Dan
Dan. Dan looks like he showed up to the first day of kindergarten with his favorite new sweatshirt. Honestly, I was getting tons of compliments on this hoodie until today, so I'm just taken back by all this. It is what it is.
Jamie
I think it's great. The fact that you wear two days in a row is a little alarm.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
No, no, I. It's hoodie season. I just throw the same hoodie on. What? You can't wear a hoodie two days in a row. That's insane.
Adam
It is hoodie season. I agree, but two days in a row on the air, I wouldn'.
Jamie
You can't wear it on the air twice.
Adam
So you have this.
Dan
I wasn't on the air yesterday. I was on my own show. If you guys didn't know that, maybe it was Wednesday.
Jamie
It doesn't matter. You just.
Dan
That was Wednesday. That wasn't yesterday. That's right. That was Wednesday.
Adam
Two. Two shows in a row is bad. You have the same, like, Nerf football as my son and the same fashion sense. Congratulations.
Dan
I never had a fashion sense, and I'm not worried about that.
Adam
If you have Brock Bowers. You should. You don't have to do anything now but think about other options. Tampa Bay defensive backs Christian Izzy and Jamel Dean are unlikely to play, so that could help Sam Darnold and Tyrone Tracy has not been ruled out this week. There's a chance he can play. He's doing better with the shoulder. I'm sure we're still going to like Scatter Boo better. But if Tracy plays, Jamie, you have Scatter Boo ahead of Alvin Camara ahead of I think, I think you said you had him ahead of Rico Dowdle.
Jamie
Ahead of Derek Henry.
Adam
Yeah. So if Tracy plays, what would that do to the ranking of Scatter Boo?
Jamie
I'll drop him a couple spots, but I still think he's the best running back for the Giants and the matchups too good. So he'll still be a number two running back. Where he'll settle will probably be in that Dowdle Rashad White range. So probably a little behind Henry and probably behind Woody Marks.
Adam
All right, don't forget Sunday 8:30am to 9:30am YouTube.com fantasy football today and again noon to 1pm eastern YouTube.com fantasy football today early morning stuff as we have the game in London. To the emails@fantasy footballbsi.com we also thank you for the Apple podcast questions and comments. The five star reviews really help. If you want to leave us some Spotify reviews, we're trying to grow on Spotify so you can help us there. If you want to leave us some some kind reviews, you can ask some questions there. We'll try to sort through that as well for next week's show. But first emails Fantasy football from Chesky Start one in PPR Treveon Henderson, Amari D. Mercado Jordan Mason, Zach Charbonnet and RJ Harvey Travion Henderson, Amari Di Mercado Jordan Mason, Zach Charbonnet, RJ Harvey Start one.
Jamie
I have Mason ranked the highest but I don't love really any of these options. It may switch Mason and Charbonnet. I'm gonna go starving.
Dan
I actually would go Travion Henderson for full ppr. I would lean Henderson or even D. Mercado. We have different definite different feel on this. Mason versus The Browns is definitely not a player a play for me this week.
Adam
Good comment from Timmy in the chat Azer would do a two for one sweatshirt trade instead of dropping one hoodie. So there's an injury that came up on yesterday's show.
Dan
Adam cheats one I'm like behind now on two show. I've got a lot of shows catch up on this weekend, but I've been formed to not listen to a certain portion, so I gotta, like, figure it out as I'm driving this weekend. But what. What did he cheat this time? What did he do this time?
Adam
He didn't.
Jamie
He didn't cheat. He just did something that he said that I cheated for and did the exact same thing.
Dan
Ah, that didn't really occur to me.
Adam
Yeah, it just. It never had really occurred to me because Jamie added a player, went over the roster limit, then used that pair to make a two for one trade.
Jamie
And I did not use that player. Traded somebody totally different.
Adam
No, you did not. You traded that player. That was the problem.
Jamie
I added Darren Waller, and then I traded Justice Hill.
Dan
This is risky to say, but I don't really like how on our site you can add more players than you should be able to because.
Adam
Well, No, I fixed that. I fixed that.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
So that's.
Dan
It's a big problem, I think.
Jamie
That's not a.
Dan
Okay. Okay. That's on the commission. All right. Well, it's at it. Yeah.
Adam
What I did was I traded. I got a two for one trade. I took the two side, and then instead of dropping some side for two. Oh, yeah, three for two. I had an extra player, and instead of dropping someone, I was attempting to make a two for one trade. Jamie called me out for my hypocrisy. I agreed to. Well, I agreed with it and I dropped the player.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
But the injury.
Jamie
Adam dropped the player on my roster.
Dan
Yeah. That was crazy. When you do that stuff and start touching other people's rosters.
Adam
I cannot deal with the lies. The gaslighting from Jamie. He's so. He's so gassy.
Jamie
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Tell me where the lie is.
Adam
All right, who was.
Jamie
I'm gonna say you tell me the lies.
Adam
Who was the.
Jamie
You made a three for two trade.
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
You had an extra player on your team.
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
You then. Because you were called out on a drop the player.
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
Correct. Okay, that's your. Your. That's your scenario. Yeah, my scenario. I made. I made an ad drop one roster limit. One player over the roster limit, which was not, at the time considered to be illegal.
Adam
No, it was. It was.
Jamie
It was not.
Adam
I had made an announcement about that in the lead chat.
Jamie
You did not make it.
Adam
Yes, I did.
Jamie
I made an announcement after the fact that nowhere in the league rules.
Dan
You can't assume everyone's reading a league chat.
Adam
I mean, what. What kind of league I don't need to put a rule that you cannot be over the roster limit.
Jamie
You have. You. You are the commissioner that set up the league. I am adhering to the rules of the league because you do not have a setup where there is not allowed.
Adam
Taking advantage of the. You're taking advantage of a loophole on the website that allowed you to add an extra player.
Jamie
That's your fault. As the commissioner.
Dan
I agree with Jamie on that entirely. That's why in our Yahoo. Yep. Go ahead.
Jamie
Then you dropped the player off of my roster when asking me to do it. I didn't do it in your timeline.
Dan
Okay, so that's pretty insane, Adam. You can't just drop players from people's rosters.
Adam
No, that's. First of all, I said to Jamie, I gave him about a week and a half to drop a player. He was not doing it. I then texted him and said, if you don't drop a player by 1pm Eastern or whatever it was, I'm going to drop this player.
Dan
Yeah, but he was on HQ and he was working.
Adam
No, Oak. Stop. I gave him 10 days. He was on HQ in a 10 day marathon on HQ. He didn't do it. I finally dropped the guy. All right, now moving on.
Dan
So basically what you're telling me is Jamie delivered an excellent start sit that week, but it would have been an hour later if he had to focus on your drama that you couldn't just. Since you just dropped his team. And so I guess if he had just put his team ahead of work, I guess you would have not dropped the player on his team.
Adam
10 days to drop a player who nobody even picked up. All right, this is from Jake.
Jamie
He did get picked up immediately.
Adam
Okay, this is from Jake. Hey, Garrett, Brian and Connolly. These are Red Sox pitchers. And he said I only put three names above because I can in good conscious ask a Yankees fan for advice right now. I am sorry.
Dan
What do you think about the Yankees right now, Adam, before we get into this question, you hot on them after last night or.
Adam
I. They have such a bad bullpen. You can't win with a bad bullpen.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
I kind of feel like they're going to beat Toronto and losing the lcs.
Dan
Have you ever seen anyone move slower to first base than John Carlos Stanton?
Adam
Well, that was. He wasn't running hard. He thought it was a home run.
Dan
I'm just saying he's a very slow.
Adam
He can't move.
Dan
He can't move.
Adam
All right, here we go. I only read one question so far. Let's Keep Let's.
Jamie
You want me to really piss Adam off?
Adam
Oh, for God's sake. You already are. I'd like to read this question.
Dan
That's what we want though.
Jamie
You want it even worse?
Dan
Yeah, let's do it.
Jamie
So serious question though. Are you. Are you happy that what did last night.
Adam
I mean, it's so.
Dan
That was uncalled for, Jamie.
Jamie
That's how you say his name, right?
Adam
No, there's an L in there.
Jamie
Oh, I got it wrong.
Adam
All right. Cam Schlitler was great. You forgot two L's, I think. All right. I'm three and one. My three receiver half PPR redraft league. I'm thinking of offering Metcalf and Olave for CD Lamb, but if I do that, my bench options would be IO Manor and Christian Kirk. So would you offer Metcalf and Olave for Lamb?
Jamie
Absolutely. Three receiver league, three and one. 100%.
Dan
You do it.
Adam
It's.
Dan
It's too good of a deal to not do. There is definitely. There are definitely some good underlying metrics though, when it comes to Olave. So he's not a player that I think is just a throwing in this deal. I like him rest of season. I don't want to make that clear. But the upside of Lamb, it's too much to give up. Of course, factoring in like players coming back from the high angle sprain is never great.
Adam
That's interesting that you find good underlying numbers because I actually went through it for Olave and didn't really see it. I mean, other than his target per out run rate. But he's got one of the lowest yards per route, running yards per target and yards per catch this team. He has no yak. I mean, that's gonna change because you can't have like a 1.2 yard yak. That's ridiculous. But this team doesn't throw deep. They can't throw deep. They actually do throw deep a decent amount, but they never connect. They don't score a lot of touchdowns. So I think a lot better or.
Jamie
Worse for Olave when they make a quarterback change.
Adam
I don't know that they are going to make a quarterback change, but I would say worse.
Jamie
I mean, the two of you have them going on four after losing by two touchdowns to the Giants this weekend.
Adam
I'd say worse if they make a change.
Jamie
Personally, I would think worse too.
Dan
It's possible. Like for me, when I was referring to Adam was just how he's playing, like less. So what these. Some of these numbers are relying on like the Quarterback in the system. Just how he's getting open looks good, but. So it would stand to believe that maybe a quarterback change could help that, but I just don't see that with Tyler Shuck. So I. I would say probably worse too.
Adam
Okay, moving on.
Dan
I don't think Rattler's playing that bad, by the way.
Adam
He's not playing that badly, but he's not doing anything special at all. Yeah, he's just kind of dinking and dunking. Oh, well. Okay, here's one from Ethan. Would you start Amari D. Mercado, Jordan Mason or Ellic IO Manor at the second flex spot?
Dan
D. Mercado for me. I assume it's ppr. I don't know.
Jamie
I go IO Manor.
Dan
Just definitely not Mason for me.
Adam
So Xavier Scott is questionable. Oh, he's the pass catching guy for the Vikings. I don't know if that would change anything.
Jamie
I'm pretty sure he's playing all right.
Dan
I'm a Xavier Scott truther, by the way, just for deep leagues.
Jamie
When I did my first run of rankings this week, I had Scott ahead of Mason just because of how this.
Dan
Game should match up. Right?
Jamie
Yeah, they're down. They're down three linemen this week already ruled out. It's. It's not going to be pretty against.
Dan
That Browns defensive front which is the best in the NFL.
Adam
Okay, next question is the under on.
Dan
That game is amazing. Go ahead. Sorry.
Adam

And they won. And I lost. All right, question now. From. Who's this from? From a team name of DJ Moore Cowbell.
Jamie
Bucky Irving officially rolled out.
Adam
Dan needs to start a fantasy football show for foodies so he can talk about crazy sandwiches all the time. Funny thing is, his culinary rabbit holes often make me hungry. Although the coffee ice cream take was about as good as the Tennessee Titans play calling last week. The subject of this email, by the way, was Brian Callahan eats coffee ice cream or likes coffee ice cream. Full ppr.
Jamie
I had it last week.
Dan
So what'd you think?
Jamie
I drowned it in hot fudge and M M's.
Adam
But it was fine, right? You know, sounds about fine.
Jamie
It's good. It just shouldn't be somebody's favorite.
Adam
I never said that. I said it definitely should be. No, I never said it's good. I hate it. I think it's garbage.
Jamie
I'm sorry. No, no, you said it. It's a fine ice cream. If you like it.
Adam
Yes.
Dan
I think it's. I think it's odder to say you don't like it than to say that it's your favorite ice cream. What Adam just said. I think it's weirder. How could you not like it? It's. It's basically just like a latte in ice cream version.
Adam
It's gross. Okay, question Is Malik Washington? Gross Matos Malik Washington? Keon Coleman or Eric IO Manor?
Jamie
I go. IO Manor.
Dan
Yeah, I don't want to play league in Washington.
Adam
All right, we're gonna take a break.
Dan
Just found my favorite person in the chat. Garrett Hook. Shout out.
Adam
We got a good Michael Carter question when we come back after this. Plus more funny emails about Dan. We'll be right back.

Jamie
No, I would do it.
Dan
Yeah, no, I'm. I would do. What are we getting out of Higgins from Elijah? Can I ask you guys something? Two weeks ago I traded Chase Brown T. Higgins in a two quarterback Superflex 14 team league. Chase Brown T. Higgins and Bryce Young for Daniel Jones, Javante Williams and Devonte Adams. Is that not one of the best trades? I buy highs I've you've ever heard. Like people laughed at me like you're trading all that for Joe. You break Javonte Williams. I'm like Dante Williams is awesome at fantasy football.
Adam
Yeah, it's a great trade.
Dan
I did it right after the burrow injury was fine giving Up Chase Brown. I didn't care, man.
Adam
I don't play in any leagues with people like that. And that's like, oh, I don't play in these amateur leagues.
Dan
No. What are you talking about? I was the amateur there. I was considered the amateur there. I gave up so much draft capital.
Adam
No, I'm just saying that's what people. That's what people say when, like, these trades don't go down in my leagues. Like, that's. They get that all the time.
Dan
Oh, no, I. I thought it was the opposite. I was criticized by some people in the league. Like, why are you trading all that? You're trading. Buying high on Daniel Jones and Javant Williams. Like, yeah, actually, especially on Javante. Yeah.
Adam
Yeah. All right. Question from Elijah. He says, dear Luffy, Zorro, Sanji and Shanks. This is, of course, this is some anime thing called One Piece. I'm in a 2 QB league.
Dan
I am, of course, as if Jamie, I would ever have heard of it.
Adam
There's, like, no way any of us would know that I'm currently winless and ravaged by injuries and bad quarterback play. In my. In my two QB or super flex league, I offered my Trevor Lawrence and Christian McCaffrey for Jordan Love and Cam Scatter.
Dan
Boo.
Adam
What do you think?
Dan
Horrible.
Adam
Yeah. No, don't do it.
Dan
Just horrible.
Adam
Yeah, don't do it. And even worse, I mean, make sure.
Dan
You didn't do that.
Adam
He did it. Oh, well, he offered it. You're right. If you thought it couldn't get any worse. He says. P.S. i went to my first NFL game a couple of weeks ago, Chiefs at Giants. It was awesome.
Dan
And.
Adam
And now I'm a Giants fan. I am ready for the misery.
Dan
Well, like I said, tough week for him. Well, I don't know if we beat the Saints by two or three scores.
Adam
Two or three score. We're underdogs. Underdogs.
Dan
We'll see. This defensive line should just destroy Spencer Rat.
Jamie
Three scores.
Dan
Two or three scores is when I start to think, maybe, just maybe, we can beat the Eagles.
Adam
If the Giants beat the Saints by two or three scores, I might buy Dan a grown up Giant sweatshirt.
Dan
I have other Giant sweatshirts. I personally like this one a lot. I stand by it. People have commented they like it. I don't know what the deal is here. Yeah, people have said they like it.
Jamie
There's a Reddit thread I heard.
Dan
You know what? I'm gonna screenshot this dm. I got the other just yesterday. Here it is just yesterday in the dm. Thank you, Trevor. Winstrol. Hey, on the Saints pod. I love your sweatshirt. Where did you get it? That's a dm. That's a real dm.
Adam
He's cracking up with his friends. Like, I can't believe I actually said that.
Dan
That's actually possibly true. That is possibly true. He's trolling me.
Adam
This is from Adam. No, this is from. I don't know. I'm sorry, I forgot the name here. I trade my Nico Collins, Juwan Jennings and Justice Hill. Nico Collins, Juwan Jennings and Justice Hill. I get Rashi Rice, Amari D. Markado and Tetaroa McMillan.
Dan
I love it. I absolutely love that trade.
Jamie
That's a huge win.
Adam
Yeah, it's big. It's a good.
Dan
He could have said D Mercado and Rishi and I think I'm still in.
Adam
If you have Nico Collins or you have Justin Jefferson and you want to trade for Rishi Rice, I'm not saying to do it straight up or anything. If you think Rashid Rice is going to be awesome, though, those wide receivers have buys next week, so you're only missing one game of Rasheed Rice basically, while those guys achieves by.
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
Later in the week. But, you know, for now, if you need wins now, you're not giving up that much. Like for early season. Just throwing that out there.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
From Anthony. No advice needed. I'm doing just fine. I'm either. He wrote this when he was 1 and 2. He's either 2 and 2 or. Or 1 and 3. Just want to say I love Dan. I love beyond the box court. I like and subscribe and generally agree with his takes, AKA Jamie's takes. But coffee ice cream is where I draw the line.
Dan
Did he write that in or did you write that?
Adam
No, he wrote it in.
Dan
I just want to make sure you didn't self put that in.
Adam
Coffee ice cream is where I draw the line. You know who likes coffee ice cream?
Dan
I think.
Adam
I hope I'm pronouncing this right. Banya. Kenny Banya, a 90s sitcom character on Seinfeld. I don't know if it was ever a bit on the show, but Banya was definitely a coffee ice cream guy. And who wants to be Banya? That's all. It's a banya flavor. I'll leave you with a good dad joke because on the fence was awesome. By the way, what is the leading cause of dry skin? Towels.
Dan
What?
Adam
Towels.
Dan
Towels. I don't think I even understand that.
Jamie
Oh, come on.
Adam
Dries your skin.
Dan
Towels dry your skin.
Adam
Yes. It's a dad. Joke.
Dan
That's a dad joke.
Adam
Oh, have kids already.
Dan
I feel like, no. I. I. Great email. Great email. But I. Dad jokes have a little more pop in them than that. That's just, like, great joke. That's like saying, like, that's like saying, like, I'm trying to think of, like, that's like saying, like, I don't have anything. It's just like saying. It's like, what color is the brick wall? Red. Like, I just don't understand. Like, it's just like saying, this is something. Why did this happen? Like, you know what I mean? Does anyone understand what I'm trying to say here? I'm struggling with this. Like, why does Adam not have a beard? Because he shaved it today. That's, like, what that sounds like to me. Just saying, like, a simple thing that happened after a thing. Except that's not a dad joke. A dad joke is, like, how you set it up.
Adam
No, that.
Dan
No, the dad joke is like the fence thing you did. That's more of a dad joke. Like, I'm on the fence with it. You get it?
Adam
What you're saying would be, if he had said, what's the leading cause of dry skin?
Jamie
And he.
Adam
You know, and then the. The punchline was like, eczema, then that.
Dan
Would have a double meaning to be a dad joke. Like, you're on the fencing as a double meeting. Get it? Like, you're a fence company, and I'm putting in offense, but I'm also on the fence of it. It's a double thing. Like, why is my skin dry? I used a towel. That's insane. It's not a joke.
Jamie
Dan's gonna. You know what Dan's gonna be? Dan's gonna be.
Dan
Oh, I use the towel. That's why my skin dry.
Adam
What?
Jamie
Dan's gonna be 65 years old in his Giants cardigan having his little coffee ice cream, just critiquing jokes in his old age.
Dan
Jamie, I just look great email. I don't ever want to be compared to Banya again. Let me make that clear, Jamie.
Adam
You know what's at stake if the Giants don't beat the Saints, because you know what the terms are, and thank goodness it's not in place for this episode. I. We really need the Giants to beat the Saints. All right. This is from Josh.
Dan
Did I have to agree to these terms?
Adam
You don't have to. It's not being imposed on you. It's being imposed on me, as you have. You're fine. I promise.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
The guy that has Malik neighbors He'll.
Jamie
Be ordering one of those sweatshirts.
Adam
Yeah. The guy that had neighbors is thin. He has James Cook and sounds open to trade. He asked for Travis ETN and Te Ro McMillan for James Cook. It's a one receiver, one, running back, three flex league. Would you give up ETN and McMillan for Cook?
Dan
I think if you have the. It sounds like he's. It's a shallower league and he doesn't need the depth play. So it's a two for one that I would do. Yes.
Jamie
I think it helps both managers. It's. It's like, yeah, perfect type of trade. So when you're. When you're looking at it, your team and you're 4,03,1, you know, hopefully 5,04 and 1 after this week, and you're trying to get superstar players for players who may or may not be guaranteed starters for you. Like, this is the type of mood you make.
Adam
All right, next question is from Jim in Cleveland. Oh, no, I'm sorry. Jim, you're next. This one's from Jonathan says, dear David.
Jamie
Not a dad joke. There would have been. The guy who has neighbors is thin. You say, go have a sandwich.
Adam
Yeah, double meaning there, Jamie, because I'm.
Dan
Not a dad joke guy. It's clear. I just don't like dad jokes. They're not funny to me. I don't get them.
Adam
My favorite dad joke. Jamie texts me a lot of dad jokes. My favorite one was, hey, Dan, did you hear about that restaurant on the moon?
Dan
No.
Adam
The food's pretty good, but there's no atmosphere.
Dan
Great, great joke.
Adam
All right. Jonathan says, dear David, Nigel and Derek, don't get dry.
Dan
I use the towel.
Adam
This is Spinal Tap, by the way, is his greeting. I am trying to stay competitive in a half PPR 12 team league where I drafted neighbors Evans and Tillman. I have Love and Jacobs on a buy. So who's my best flex option this week between Basil Tutin, Rashid Shahid, Malik Washington and Calvin Ridley?
Jamie
I mean, with the Saints chasing two scores, I would probably go with Shahid.
Dan
I don't hate that.
Adam
I go with Shahid, too, but not.
Dan
Because I don't think he could play Rhett Washington. Ridley's been proven as a player you can't play.
Adam
All right, it's Washington. I mean, it's Shahid. Jim in Cleveland, when you have a super.
Dan
What C. Steaver. Dan would probably find Frazier hilarious. Does he not know my Frasier take?
Adam
We gotta. Yeah. Dan isn't like, we don't. We don't insult Paramount plus here. But Then, no, we can.
Dan
I know. I didn't want to bring it to make it clear. I'm not a Frasier fan.
Adam
I was a big Frazier.
Dan
I respect it. Quality show.
Jamie
Did you know that incorrectly is the only word that when spelled correctly, is still spelled incorrectly?
Adam
That's not a great joke.
Dan
Is that a dad joke?
Adam
It's not really a joke. It's actually true.
Dan
Bad.
Adam
All right, from Jim in Cleveland. When you have a super stack, two receivers and a quarterback from the same team, what's your strategy for starting them all? For example, I have Herbert McConkey and Keenan Allen. You like to break them up or what?
Dan
Oh.
Jamie
You have a super stack. What's your strategy?
Dan
Oh, oh, I see. He's like, what? How do you decide between starting Lad or Alan?
Adam
No, no, he's saying, how do you decide between starting Allen and Tony Pollard? I think is the example he gave. In other words, do you play it cautious and not start all three members of the Chargers passing game? Try to diversify it a little bit, or do you not care about that? And I actually, someone asked me a question like this, hey, starter, sit. They had Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, and either Johnston or Lad McConkey. And I said, you know what? Why don't we sit Keenan Allen, just in case Herbert, they're playing the Giants. I was like, just in case the Chargers blow them out, Herbert doesn't have to throw. Let's not have too much invested. Obviously, it didn't play out that way, but that I didn't want. I didn't want to start all three of them.
Jamie
So, I mean, it's obviously case by case. In this case, you're talking about not superstars. You're talking about very good players, just not superstars. In the case last year of Burrow and Chase or Burrow and Higgins, you'd be thrilled to start those guys almost on a weekly basis because of just what the upside is, was for those players. I. I don't know if I'm gonna necessarily roll with that every week. Now, in the case of one of these guys versus Pollard, who's not been great, take the chance on the upside.
Adam
He also has David Montgomery. Like, I would sit. I would sit Keenan Allen for Montgomery.
Jamie
100 this week.
Adam
Yeah. So. All right, let's go to our next question from.
Jamie
I would start Alan over McConnell.
Dan
I think we're going to start to see a major, major downtick in production from the entire Chargers crew. If what I saw last week, and it's not every week, they're not going to Face Brian Burns cave on table. Don't have dual Carter, but it wasn't even about that. They weren't picking up simple stunts and twists. They were getting destroyed on the edges there. This offensive line is in nightmare mode right now and maybe they can figure out how to fix it, but it's not how it really works in the NFL that there's no backups, there's no good swing to. They're already down to their swing tackle to start the year anyway. Now it's the third, fourth tackle.
Jamie
So I totally agree with what you're saying but mid game versus week to prepare is a big difference. Losing Alton.
Dan
That's a good point. That's a good point.
Jamie
And especially like you said against that team.
Adam
Great point, Jamie. Just going to read a few more here. Charles.
Dan
It's a good point. I see. Good call. A good point. A good point. Adam.
Adam
Steve from Canada, I'm in a 14 team half PPR league and I just traded Christian McCaffrey and Stefan Diggs for Romo Dunze and Amarian Hampton. What do you think of the trade.
Dan
Caffeine digs for a Dunes A in Hampton. It's. I normally wouldn't want to give up the best player but I'm somewhat open to this.
Jamie
This is a great trade. This is. You think it's a great consolidating depth versus getting, you know, two players that are really good at the moment. So Odunze and Hampton are must start players. Diggs is a borderline starter now. He may ascend to a point where you regret this trade and Obviously you have McCaffrey positive now. He's amazing. Negative. Is, is he getting too much work? Could he break down? But I think this is a great trade. You're getting the best player on one side and you're giving up and the other side is getting two, two quality stars.
Dan
Fair trade. You don't. By saying it's a great trade, you're saying it's a fair trade.
Jamie
Great trade for both sides. Yes. Fair trade.
Dan
Yeah. You're not saying it's a rip. It's a great deal for the guy giving the cafe. Okay.
Adam
All right. Oh, this last email here from Patrick, he says adam, I know people gave you crap about the baked burger, but here's someone advocating to boil them first and then he boil a burger. Hold on. He sent me a link to the account is home hacks and easy snacks on Facebook and they boiled the burger first, then they put it on the stove.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
They made a burger and I actually, I think it looked good. I couldn't really tell. But they also put like a ton of butter on it. Might be a. It might be something to look into here.
Dan
Well, they put it on the stove. That's the key, right? Like in a fry, I guess in a frying pan. There's no real details to that. Anything's better than just putting a burger in an oven. That's as bad as it gets, I would imagine. But just a pure boy, like imagine just eating a burger out of like, if you're ate boiled chicken, it's one of the worst things. It's literally the worst way to eat chicken. Like, people do it if they're like in a super health mode and they want to like be cutting. They're like, ah, you know what? I won't even put my chicken in a pan and fry it up where, you know, make it taste decent. A chicken breast. I'll boil it and I've tried that before. Boiled chicken. Boiled chicken breast is among the worst tasting things you can have in your life. Doesn't matter what seasoning you put on.
Jamie
Is your roommate a Giants fan?
Dan
Yeah, he is, actually.
Adam
Oh, thank goodness.
Dan
These don't stay. Yeah, well, with the fridge, it is what it is.
Adam
You have taken over. All right, well, I think it's that time now for the fantasy cops. Here we go. Chris in Kentucky is in a 12 team PPR league that's very competitive. On Friday, morning news came out that Michael Carter, cornerback for the jets, was ruled out by coach Aaron Glenn. A fellow manager jokingly posted in the league group group chat saying, man, what a waste of fab. And posted a screenshot of the notification that Michael Carter was ruled out. Well, this set the manager that picked up Michael Carter, the running back for the Cardinals, in a frenzy to quickly add another player, he dropped Michael Carter to pick up another running back just a few seconds after he saw the notification screenshot. In the group chat, a couple managers notified him that it was not the Cardinals Michael Carter that was ruled out and let him know the mistake he just made. To make matters worse, the former Carter manager is the commissioner of the league and he is wanting to reverse the transaction. What say you, fantasy cop? Should he be allowed to reverse the transaction? Or should this be a lesson to do your own research and not make rushed decision decisions?
Jamie
Yes, he can reverse the transaction.
Adam
So funny.
Dan
I think it's funny. But yeah, you get. You let him do it.
Adam
That was there.
Jamie
Unless you're Adam, the commissioner who would just pick up Michael Carter himself and then say, screw you true.
Adam
And leave him on my roster as an extra player. Would you wait? Wasn't there a. Was there another David Johnson or something like that that people used to do that with one of the best players in.
Dan
Oh, yeah, it was another. Well, Adrian Peterson. Remember the. The Bears? Adrian. Peter, there was two Adrian Petersons at one point.
Adam
Maybe people used to do that in auctions. They would nominate.
Dan
Yeah, they would nominate the wrong Adrian Peterson. I love that.
Adam
Reverse the transaction. Next up, we have Ian. Ian says good afternoon. Andrew, Robert, JJ and Janice. Absolutely no idea.
Dan
Wait, what was it? Hey, hold on.
Adam
Say it again. I wasn't paying attention.
Dan
I'm pretty sure I know what it was.
Adam
Okay. Andre, Robert, JJ and Janice.
Dan
Never mind. I just heard Janice and immediately thought Sopranos, but none of those other Sopranos characters. I thought friends, I'm out. I'm out on this one.
Adam
I think this is Houston Texans ring of honor.
Dan
By the way, Adam, I'm surprised you didn't have anything to say to me about my team name change in Big Burger, Dominant Dan. Dominant Dan Schneier. I changed it to it one of the most disgusting brag moves you'll ever see in your life. But considering I'm like three, 100 points ahead of most teams and points.
Jamie
I love this from you. The last time you were on here bragging about your fantasy teams, the next week, both Adam and I beat you.
Dan
Well, Jamie, you want to go that far? Jamie? If you want to go this direction, Jamie, we can because look at. We could talk about all our records in the leagues. I'm in 40 in the auction league where Jamie. Oh, one and three. Okay. What other leagues do Jamie and I have Right now it looks like the FFT Dynasty Super Flex League. Oh, you're doing good in that one. You're four zero. I'm three and one, but I'm three in one. Okay, we're moving on to. This is bad radio, but I need to talk about all these things. I'm having a great.
Adam
They're both two and two in the FFT League.
Dan
That. That's the one. I'm not three and one or four zero. And the Super Flex League, the Suplex Real League. I'm three and one. Oh, it's Jamie not. No, Jamie's two and two. Is Adam not listed? Okay, Adam two and two and then. Yeah. Is there one more fft.
Adam
Why would the league just not list me?
Dan
Why does the league not list.
Adam
Yeah, why would I not be listed?
Dan
I just thought you were 0 and 4 and I. The page only shows like the first 11.
Adam
No, it doesn't. Come on. All right. It does not show all that. All right.
Jamie
Very interesting name in yolo.
Dan
In yolo, I'm three and one in that. But I had to change the team name because to I take it was long rebuild because I took over a terrible team and then I rebuilt it and then I turned to the short rebuild and now it's back to long rebuild because I lost. Because no neighbors. Because unfortunately neighbors is now out for the year. But with that said, I'm still three and one in yolo. So what are you in yolo? Keep going through a rebuilding team. Are you? Where's Will?
Jamie
Yeah.
Dan
Oh, wow. Four and over, but still three and one right up there.
Adam
This is the worst segment that I've ever heard. I mean the word.
Dan
I mean it's just Dan bragging about his CBS teams. But listen, all four and zero or three in ones, the exception of one.
Jamie
I believe there's one. You were last.
Dan
No, not this year.
Adam
I don't. I do not like what's happening right now and I don't like this version.
Dan
Oh, yes.
Adam
I'm gonna mute you both.
Jamie
Correct. Being in the seller of this league.
Dan
What? In what yolo?
Jamie
No, the Guillotine league. We're the first one out.
Dan
Oh, the Guillotine League. That we're going to talk about that league.
Adam
Fantasy cops time. I'm the Commissioner of a 12 team home league and I need some help. We had a trade accepted. DK Metcalf and Travion Henderson for Amon Ra St. Brown. We do majority votes on the trades. So six vetoes and the trade is nullified. Some people felt the trade was lopsided. Again. It was DK Metcalf and Trevion Henderson for Amon Ra St. Brown in a 12 team league and they began vetoing. The original Amon Ra St. Brown manager ended up getting a better offer. So he also wanted the trade to be vetoed in order to receive more for Amon Ra St. Brown. So it stood at five votes for a while and then got a sixth veto vote. I didn't pay attention to it and the trade ended up going through. But it shows that the six people vetoed the trade. And one of the vetoes was the manager, the Amon Ra manager who actually made the trade. So I asked.
Dan
Wow.
Adam
Yeah. I asked ChatGPT to look through Sleeper's rules and also contacted Sleeper support and both of them said that a manager's vote on their own trade does not count. So this makes complete Sense to me as the commissioner. It's just confusing that it would show it as having six votes if one was not going to count. Of course, the manager who offered the better deal for Amon Ra is pissed off and wants the trade to be. To be nullified or I guess go through. This is the first time something like this has occurred, so we have no precedent. Thank you. So what should we do here? Six votes or six vetoes are needed to veto a trade. One of the six vetoes was of the manager that was involved in the trade. Should we let it stand?
Jamie
No chance.
Adam
Wait, so I'm sorry, Should we let the trade stand?
Jamie
His veto cannot be allowed.
Dan
His veto should that. You cannot veto a trade that you are in. This is also just like a classic example of why I don't believe in vetoing in leagues. I think a every trade should go through and if you have any questions about a trade, then you need to consider removing managers from the league because it's either collusion or you don't believe these managers are fit to be playing in the league. But this is a great example. We can't just leave it up to. Because one thing I hate about the leagues where you do let these, like, vetoes take down trades. Like, it could be voted down with six or seven vetoes. What are you putting that up for, Adam? I don't have a teeth.
Adam
We go through this. We go through this, though. We. Every week it's the same thing. Don't do vetoes. Don't do. Like. I know that.
Dan
No, because, like, it's not. I don't like the idea of, like, if a person doesn't like a trade, like, because a lot of people who veto trades when I'm in these leagues just veto it because they think it's not. It's going to help another team and doesn't. And then doesn't help their team.
Adam
It's bad.
Dan
It's a selfish reason for vetoing it and it's unfair.
Adam
But it's not the issue here. Like, we know everyone should know at this point that we only accept veto as basically for collusion. Or if it is so lopsided that it's going to just disrupt the league or something. So we would never veto this trade of ST Brown for DK Metcalf and Trayvon Henderson. Even though I think it's a terrible trade, we would never veto it. But the question was, can one manager's veto count if he's involved in the trade? And we are saying no.
Dan
No. Well, that if you're going to play in the League of Vetoes.
Jamie
It. It probably should not be six. You should probably just have it as five. And the two people involved in the trade are not allowed to contribute.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
Yeah, right. That's a good way to do it.
Adam
All right, thank you, guys. Take a break. Come back with Apple podcast questions, YouTube comments and more. Be right back. Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company. They're one of America's largest financial services companies. Like how I'm more than just Peyton Manning. I'm also motivating Manning. When I say insurance, you say financial services. Insurance. Financial services.
Dan
Insurance.
Jamie
Financial services.
Adam
Now when I say nationwide, you say is both. Nationwide is both. Nationwide is both for your insurance and financial needs. Nationwide is on your side. Jamie
I take it back. It should be. It should be six. Still, if it's 10 people voting, yeah.
Dan
You still want to get the majority, which they weren't even having anyway. With the 6 of 12, I want to take a brief moment to apologize earlier for bragging about my teams in the CBS leagues. But last year there was a lot of talk on this podcast about a league I was doing bad in. All these bad records, I would never felt I got the floor to talk about the teams that were good. So this year, as I'm crushing it across the board and all the leagues we play in with the exception fft, which I'm just doing too. I need to at least air that out there so people know.
Adam
Good for you.
Dan
Thank you.
Adam
No, it's fun to have a good year.
Dan
It's early. Let's keep that in mind. I lost neighbors and like, it can go downhill fast, so I need to at least enjoy it while it lasts.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
All right.
Adam
Okay. This question is from says game three. Dan loses. I don't get that, but I got offered a trade. My Chris Godwin and J.K. dobbins loses.
Dan
What does that even mean?
Adam
No idea. For CD Lamb. I give up. Godwin and Dobbins for Lamb. Would you do it?
Dan
Godwin and Dobbins for Lamb.
Jamie
I would want more for Lamb. But again, if you're, you know, struggling at this point. Oh, and four, one and three, you know, you need some help for this week?
Adam
No, no. Getting Lamb.
Jamie
Oh, then absolutely.
Adam
Yeah, do it.
Dan
Yep.
Adam
This one is from Cade Cord. I feel like my running backs are pretty good. I have Taylor, Javante, Hampton and Marks, but my wide receivers are not great. I have Lamb, Evans, Tyreek hill, Brian Thomas Jr. Which wide receiver would you try and move to help my or which running back. Which running back would you try and move to help my wide receivers? That's Taylor, Javante, Hampton and Woody Marks.
Jamie
Marks will be the first one I try and trade just because we don't know how good he'll be long term. I mean, it's great that he did that against the Titans. He's probably going to do well against the Ravens. They have a buy next week and then who knows what this offense looks like coming out of the buy if he continues to be the lead running back. But it would be either between him or Javante, you know, just capitalizing on. On the hot start and or current performance for. For Marks. If you could turn those guys into solid receiving options.
Dan
I think it's up. I think it's close. For me, Marks is definitely up there, but for me, it would definitely be trying to trade o' Marion over Javante. I again, I'm very worried and concerned about the state of the Chargers offensive line and how it moves forward. They're already like 30th in yards created before last week, even before the injuries. And I believe in Javante Williams. I think he. We just did our rankings on beyond the box for this week. We re ranked all the players. We, Jacob and I both believe Javante is a borderline top 25 player rest of season. And there's. I don't really See any reason not to believe it at this point? Based on what he's done individually, how he looks on tape, all of the. The situation is just as good as it gets for Javante. I'm not sure any running back really, besides McCaffrey has a. Has a much better situation rest of season.
Adam
Okay. This is from Slinging Sean. The banter between everyone flows so well. And all the fantasy vice and the news in between Adam. Adam's ridiculous takes are probably the main reason I listen. Thank you.
Dan
It's a compliment of some sort.
Adam
Yeah, there's a. There's no question here. Okay.
Dan
I was just giving you that.
Adam
Okay, I shouldn't have read that one. I'm sorry. From Squid.
Jamie
I shouldn't have read the one that compliments me.
Dan
All right.
Adam
Yeah. This one says. This one says Fantasy Cops. Jamie's opinion is superior, but it also says crazy that Adam has this much, much energy with no caffeine.
Dan
Yeah, it is weird that you live life without caffeine. I don't really understand.
Jamie
Alec Pierce ruled out.
Adam
Oh, interesting. All right. Adonai Mitchell, sleeper Fantasy Cops. I'm the commissioner in my league. I sent a trade offer for CD Lam to come to me, and I would give Cam Scatter Boo and Matthew Golden. He countered with Dak Prescott instead of Matthew golden, and I accepted. So he basically gave up Scatterboo and Dak for or Lamb. The whole league is upset that this trade went through. What do you think? It's full ppr, if that matters.
Dan
One qb, I assume. Yeah, big difference. Yeah. I mean, look, it's. It's a horrific trade, right? Like, is there any way around it? I mean, it's fine. I would pass it through, but it's just a bad trade.
Jamie
It's. I mean, it's bad based on names. It's not bad if you're stuck right now. So if your quarterback situation is a mess and obviously you can't play Lamb and you can use Scatter Boo at a running back reflex spot like. Like, what's the records of these two teams? Like? You know, there are a lot of things that come into play here when you're talking about giving up injured players or suspended players. Like in the case of Rashi Rice, I don't want my season to be lost because I'm waiting out CD Lamb to come back.
Dan
Yeah, but what's your season worth if you get a win or two now, but then you're stuck with, like, Scatter Boo and a timeshare and Tracy on a bad offense, and then we don't know when.
Jamie
I agree with you, Dan, but, like, if, if, if there was a definitive timeline, like, it seems like he's gonna be back sooner rather than later because he's out of the walking boot and trying to do some stuff at practice, at least individually. But this could still be another four weeks of no CD Lamp. Like, yeah, your fantasy season may be done by then.
Dan
Yeah, that's fair. I mean, either way, I think you're in a bad spot, though, to me, because if you're, you're making the trade, I guess it can help for now. Tracy, not even ruled out for this week, though. Like what? You know, like, it could get ugly fast. And, and what does Dak do for your team in a one QB league?
Jamie
No, I, I, I, I totally agree. I think that the problem with a lot of fantasy managers is, and, and we're guilty of this too, is you look at your team and two and two, one and three, oh, and four, whatever the case may be, and you're like, all right, if, if I get this guy back or, you know, this and this happens, I can win. But you get a trade offer and instead of just saying, oh, can I make this work with this manager or this trade makes sense because I love Scatter Boo for this week, you be the aggressor. You go out and make trade offers. You know, like, this is supposed to be fun, right? That's the bottom line why we do this. Fantasy football supposed to be fun. And when you get off to a bad start because of people like us giving you bad advice or players struggling or whatever the case may be, why your fantasy season has gone south, you have the ability to still make it an enjoyable experience if you can. Now, it's not give CD Lamb away. It's not give Rashi Rice away, Mike Evans away, anybody. That's not helping you right now, but you can turn that into something hopefully of significance. I got a trade off for Adam. You, you referenced it the other day. It was, I think I'm one in three in this league, but I, again, I like my team, but 1 and 3 just lost Tyree kill and don't have CD Lamb. So I got offered Jamar Chase and Tony Pollard for CD Lamb and Josh Jacobs, and I can't play Jacobs this week and I don't have Lamb this week. I hate the trade, so I'm not going to accept it. But now I need to turn around and try and see if I can trade CD Lamb for something that might be able to help me because otherwise I'm done in that league.
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
So, like, in your case, Dan, I know it's a. It's a dice league. You lost some elite neighbors. Right. How can you still, as a three in one team, still make it to where you're competitive? And so in that case, you're trading draft picks or you're trading, you know, young players for superstars. Like, there's still ways to make this for sure work. Now, again, scatterbooing and Dak for Lamb sucks on paper, but four weeks of zero versus maybe a win or two, you're still alive.
Dan
I will say one thing, though, on this, because that's important, because I see this happen. It's happened in my home leagues, happen in multiple leagues, where people are panicking for the reasons you outline. I think you're 100, right, Jamie, on what your core idea is here. But make sure, because nobody does this. Make sure before you hit that accept button, you shop to the league. I'm giving away CD Lamp. Can you beat this offer? It takes a few minutes of your time, and nobody does this. They just talk the deal out with somebody, and then they put it through the league, and I'm pressing it through. And then people are like, why did that trade just happen? And the reason it happened is because you were giving up a great player and you didn't take the time to go through every person in the league and be like, I'm about to trade Lamb. Here's what I'm getting. Can you beat this offer? It takes no time to do that, really. You know, a little bit of time, but it's so worth it. And it's not a bad. You're not, like, doing anything wrong. You're doing the right thing there.
Jamie
I, I agree with you. And just think about the fantasy cops question. We got the dk, Metcalf, whatever it was, DK and Trevion for Amara St. Brown. The guy vetoed it because he got a better offer. Well, he didn't get the better offer until he was. They were aware that.
Dan
Right. That he was on the block.
Jamie
That he was on the block. And so I, I. You're. You're 1000% right. When you're in these type of situations, you can be transparent. And I know it comes across as you're being desperate. Yes.
Dan
You're desperate because so what, you have 12 people, 11 people trying to make you trades then. And someone will beat that offer, and you could leverage one offer against the other. Yeah.
Adam
All right. Last one is from Kevin from Antarctica. Oh, about that. Dear.
Dan
Wow.
Adam
Yeah, he's probably got a lot of hoodies.
Dan
Dear Raphael, There's a lot of. There's a lot of weird and Antarctic conspiracy theories. If you have go down deep that rabbit hole.
Adam
I've never have.
Dan
It's not one you want to go.
Jamie
Rabbit paella, watch movies, but, you know, Antarctica rabbit holes. That's interesting.
Dan
Yeah. Had to see in some weird YouTube Y Files episodes.
Adam
All right. Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo. And that's probably listed in the Game of Thrones, right? Those are the Beatles. 12 team, 2 point per reception league. Would you trade Nico Collins for either Jacoby Myers and Devonte Swift and Devontae Smith or Quentin Johnston and Devonte Smith? Would you trade Nico Collins for Devonte Smith and either Jacoby Myers or Quentin Johnson?
Jamie
I think I'd rather have Quentin Johnson at this point. Like, he's. Yeah, he's looked so awesome. Jacoby Myers has been good at times this year and a little unlucky. I think last week was a little unlucky because of Geno Smith's two horrible throws that were targeted for him. He had seven targets in that game. But Johnston, like, with the way that he's playing at this point, the wheels could easily come off. But Justin Herbert's dialed in with him, and I think that's a pretty good trade.
Adam
You'd rather have Quentin Johnston than Nico Collins rest of season?
Jamie
I'd rather have the combination. If I need receiver depth, Quentin Johnston and Devonte Smith than, yeah, just Nico Collins. But again, this is one of those deals we might be able to do better.
Dan
So, yeah, I'm keeping Nico personally in that. And then as far as, like, if I need to move him, I'm probably looking for something better just because. So hard for me to get on board with either Devonte Smith or Quinton. The Johnson thing I want to believe in and I believe in the player. I'm just very, very nervous about what's going to happen to this Chargers offense. I think the situation is dire on.
Adam
The offensive line, but he's not out for the year, Joe Alt.
Dan
So I know it's not just Joe Alt. They have injuries at other spots on the offensive line.
Adam
They have one guy who's out for the year. It's not like they can't get healthier.
Dan
It might take Zion Johnson looks terrible at left guard. I mean, looks good on that line.
Adam
I get that. But it looks better than the. Than the Texans or they're both in horrible situations. What I would do. Yeah, I would try to get.
Jamie
Can you Get Johnson and Myers.
Adam
That's exactly what I was going to say. Johnston and Myers for Nico would be more interesting. Nico's got some issues. Nico had a busted coverage 50 yard touchdown this year.
Dan
Yeah, yeah. No, Nico's not a good play right now. Their offense line is just as bad. They can't hit shot plays. And he's a little injured now too.
Adam
Let's see what this one says from the chat. Dan. I tried the Haagen Dallas coffee ice cream with the chocolate chips. I drink coffee, so it was okay. Kind of good to me. I give it a 6, 7.
Dan
The Haagen Dazs coffee is great. That's one of the best coffees out there. But also there's coffee. Coffee Buzz buzz by Ben. There's like great coffee ice creams out there. Telling.
Adam
He gave it a java chip.
Dan
You ever had java chip? Java chip is probably the best coffee there is. I don't know, it seemed like it's a. It's more of like a. It's less sweet version of a coffee ice cream, which is great. Look, you gotta love coffee, I think, to like coffee, to love coffee ice cream. I love coffee. So, I don't know. Tell you drinking cold brew right now.
Adam
This is from Nico Ellic aisle Manor. Isaiah Bond.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
Who's Tremaine?
Jamie
The receiver for the Panthers.
Adam
Oh, it's gotta be a Manor.
Jamie
Yeah. I don't matter.
Dan
Somebody in the comment. I've seen this in the comments a lot now. It's a 6, 7 thing. I don't know what the 6, 7 thing is at all. I have no idea.
Adam
I didn't know until it came up on the show. Jamie said it. You have to have kids of a certain age.
Dan
It's a kid. Okay. It's like a new thing.
Jamie
I'll tell you a funny story. First time it came up with my kids, I said something. Our baseball games go six or seven innings. And I was talking to the team and I said something about, yeah, we'll go six or seven. And they're. They all responded, six, seven, six. And I thought they were like trying to be funny, like. Like jerks. And I just kept making them run. You want to talk back? Okay, go run. And they were like. We, we were. It was a rain situation. So we just kind of. They kept running around the batting cages and they kept going back every time. Six, seven. I'm like, all right, keep going.
Adam
Are you serious? You punished them for that? Man, that's pretty.
Dan
I love that, that Jamie's that kind of coach. He's making.
Jamie
Oh, I was at the moment and they just, it was mostly my son talking back, so I was like, all right, you're gonna run.
Adam
Oh, wow. Oh, oh, look who's here. Look who is here. Former colleague Gregor Bano, Florida State graduate, says, Azer, what's your final score for FSU vs Miami tomorrow? Not that I haven't been thinking about this for a month. I'm gonna say 31, 28 Miami.
Dan
Whoa. I thought you're gonna go way less, fewer points.
Adam
FSU's got the number one offense in the country. They can really score, so. But Miami's defense is good. I think it's gonna be really tough game, really tough game now that we're.
Dan
At like the quarter season quarter poll. Mark, have you thought any further on your comments from earlier this season about Carson Beck potentially being the number one overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft?
Adam
I had the wrong hurricane because he's no chance.
Dan
Okay, okay, okay.
Adam
I, I could see him being, I could see him being a late first round pick, but I think you're still.
Dan
On the first round.
Adam
It's not a great quarterback class, unfortunately, unless Manning declares. But even he needs some more.
Dan
Adam, we need to make a bet spot on the line that he won't be a first round pick.
Adam
No, I wouldn't bet that.
Dan
People are completely shot. Completely shot.
Adam
No, people really like him. Like I, I see a lot of stuff. No mobility, his arms can't really move.
Jamie
I watch football every week with recently, recently fired, I guess general manager the NFL and he does not like him at all.
Adam
I don't really like him that much as a pro prospect either, but a lot of people do. I see it all.
Dan
A lot of people. Who's a lot of people?
Adam
I'm not going to say specifically because I don't honestly remember, but like analysts, people, people that you would know. I don't remember specifically which guys but.
Dan
When did you read this though? Like 20, 23.
Adam
Every single week they talk about Carson Beck being so underrated. Remember like I said a year ago, preseason, he was the number one quarterback prospect for the NFL draft or two depending on whose list. And then he had a terrible year. People like him. I don't really like him that much.
Dan
For in the end he was mostly number one because it was deemed to be a bad quarterback. Plus where no one at that point has standed out and stood out.
Adam
Like did you think? Did you think. I still don't think Jackson Dart should have been a first round pick. He was not. He's not a first round prospect, but someone I think could take a chance.
Dan
On a guy like Carson Jackson Dart actually looks like he can play football.
Adam
Oh, he threw for 111 yards. So convinced he is more likely to get hurt with his stupid style smacking.
Dan
Maybe nothing in the NFL, but I would take a bet on Jackson Dart over Carson Beck any day in my life. And so will the NFL because he's not drafting Carson back in the first round.
Adam
I'm just saying someone's. All right. Pittman or Camara? Standard scoring. Who do you like?
Jamie
Pittman.
Dan
Pittman, Pitman. Now you're late on the music. It's your thing.
Adam
Oh, yeah, sorry.
Dan
That what you're looking for?
Adam
No, I'm looking for other questions.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
Except the guy who keeps asking.
Jamie
You gotta learn. When he's looking to his left, he's looking at the board. When he's looking to his right, he's looking at questions. When he's looking at his phone, it's because one of us said something that he's laughing at.
Adam
H.N. and Kittle or Hampton? Raised.
Jamie
He got all upset about something.
Dan
Oh, I love a shoulder raise, you know? You know he's about to go off.
Adam
H.N. and Kittle or Hampton & McBride? Rest of season. PPR.
Jamie
Oh, wow. H.N. and KITTLE.
Dan
A Channing Kittle for me. Big jump from HN to him. I'd much rather HN than Hampton.
Adam
Okay, start two. Keon Coleman, Travion Henderson, Michael Carter, Troy Franklin. Start two. Ppr.
Jamie
The two running backs, Coleman and Henderson.
Dan
Oh, ppr. Yeah.
Adam
Okay, you're done. Woody Marks or Amari?
Dan
I'm putting Coleman in there with the matchup. I'm putting Coleman in there.
Adam
Okay. Woody Marks or Amari Di Mercado?
Jamie
Marks.
Dan
Marks. Yeah.
Adam
Easy start. Javante Williams. Ken Walker or David Montgomery?
Dan
Javante. Always.
Jamie
Yeah, Javante.
Dan
Easy. There's no week I wouldn't start Javante. I don't really know why he wouldn't at this point. Yeah, everything is.
Adam
It would have been last week and he came through.
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
I have a lot of backup running backs that became starter. That's a great feeling. Rashad White, Rico Dowdle, Mason and D. Markado. What's the trade value for them?
Dan
Mason, I think has the highest trade value. Right. And I think it's a great time to trade him with three offensive linemen down.
Jamie
I don't know if anybody smart would be buying him though, because you get the tough matchup this week. Bye. Next week.
Dan
True.
Jamie
Then one more week and then Jones is Potentially back. I agree with you. To sell them if you can. The. If you're trying to sell these guys, I'd be selling White and Dowdle right now. Mostly Dowdle, if you don't need him because the opportunity is great. That said, he should have a big game against the Dolphins. White could have a good game against the Seahawks, especially with the report now that Bucky Irving may be out for two weeks. So those would be the two that you're trying to shop and get the most maximum value for.
Adam
R.J. let me. Let me just get some more questions.
Dan
I don't agree with that.
Adam
All right. I'm sorry. I. I don't mean to cut you off. I just want.
Jamie
You're keeping those guys or you don't think.
Dan
No, I just don't agree that you. And it. No matter if you're playing smart managers, I don't think you can get more value back for those guys than Mason, because those guys, I think anyone smart will be. All right, well, they're one week plays or one or two week plays. Mason, you can sell him on. Look, he's been the workhorse here. He's running good. You talk about the points he scored in the past, like he may be moving forward, like all this type of stuff.
Adam
Trade them to the Bucky Irving, you trade Rashad White to the Bucky Irving. Manager, you trade Rico Dowdle to the Chuba.
Dan
How much are you going to get back for that?
Adam
You might get a number three receiver.
Dan
Okay.
Jamie
Or you try and trade for those guys if they don't have anybody that they need somebody this week.
Adam
Harvey or Michael Carter this week. Ppr.
Dan
Carter. Yeah, Harvey.
Adam
Two running backs. RJ Harvey, Sean Tucker or Michael Carter.
Jamie
I would go Carter and Harvey, in that order.
Dan
Yeah, Harvey.
Adam
So sit. Tucker. All right, so then I need two Flex. Tucker, Jacoby, Myers, Slayton, Jalen, Tolbert.
Jamie
Myers and Slayton.
Dan
Yeah. Full ppr. Yeah. It has to be Slaying and Myers.
Adam
Would you trade Brian Thomas Jr. For Rasheed rice?
Jamie
Yes, in a heartbeat.
Dan
Yeah, in a heartbeat for me as well.
Adam
I'm just looking for questions.
Dan
I'm a huge Rice guy, though.
Adam
Did this one. Do I trade CD Lamb and Michael Carter for Javante Williams.
Jamie
If you're stuck this week? Yes. I mean, listen, if Dan's right about Javante, which is hard to argue that he's not based on what we've seen from him. Like, you're getting a superstar Sutton.
Dan
Crazy to think about, but you kind of are. No one would have thought this is possible, but he basically Is a fantasy superstar. He's in almost every down. He's an all red zone. He gets receptions from Dak. They're an insane game. Scripts every week where he's scoring a ton of points and their offensive line is good.
Adam
Sutton or Dowdle?
Jamie
Sutton.
Dan
Yeah. Sutton.
Adam
And finally. Sit one. Oh, look at that. Pizza. Sit one, Mark.
Dan
Pizza.
Adam
Woody Marks, Travis ETN or Ken Walker?
Jamie
We have to make sure we're talking about the right ETN at this point. But yes, I would assume it's Travis.
Dan
Yeah, I'll sit Marks.
Jamie
I'm sending Walker.
Dan
I'll sit Marks. I'll play Walker.
Adam
Okay. Can I make a bold prediction?
Dan
Yes.
Adam
And end it with this. So I don't want anybody to take this as fantasy vice because I, I believe I agree with what Dave and Jamie said about Bo Nicks. You should probably be conservative with him and sit him.
Dan
Okay.
Adam
I feel like Bo Nick's gonna have a great game and the Broncos are going to put up a big number and beat the Eagles this week. I don't know if that's bold, but I got this gut feeling Bo Nix.
Dan
Is, I bet against that he's not.
Adam
A very good, you know, if he sits in the pocket, he's not that great. But he makes enough of these off script great plays. I think he's going to do that one or two times and the Broncos are going to have a big game here and give the Eagles their first loss of the year.
Dan
Bo Nix, we went over it this week on beyond the box score, has had 4.7 seconds to throw in the pocket, the most by far in the NFL and he has the worst on target rate on downfield throws this season.
Adam
Did you say, did you said time to throw in the pocket or time.
Dan
Yeah, I know you're saying if he gets out of the pocket, but most plays are from within the pocket. Like how many times?
Adam
Well, the mobile guys always lead in time to throw because they scramble around. I didn't know if that was up there.
Dan
Hertz is up there too. He's like next.
Adam
All right, well you heard it here first, folks.
Dan
I'll bet the Eagles in that.
Adam
It's probably the smart thing to do. Yeah, but better chance that Bonix has a big game than the Giants win by two or three scores, I will tell you that.
Dan
No, I disagree. Okay, let's do that. Giants are gonna win this game by two or three scores and I'm gonna roll into Thursday night Football like we could potentially beat the Eagles. The dumbest thing I could possibly ever think look at that.
Adam
All right, folks, have a great weekend. We will talk to you on Sunday.
