C Store or online for details. Fellas, you know Degree Cool Rush deodorant, right? Well, last year they changed the formula and guys were mad about it. One dude even started a petition. So guess what? Degree heard us, admitted they messed up.
Jamie
And brought the original Cool Rush scent.

Heath
What a play.
Jamie
Can you believe this?
Dave
No, I can't.
Jamie
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Dave
Off to the races and he stays on his feet.
Jamie
This is gonna go the distance.
Dave
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Jamie
It's mailbag time, for reals this time. And actually, we don't have Dan. Dan is just letting everyone down. He's apparently dealing with some computer issue. Churro will have a great story about it and we hope to get him on soon. But Dave is here as well. Jamie is here. Good morning, guys. Dave, big gulp of Looks like water there. Water?
Adam
Yeah, it looks like water.
Jamie
Lemonade?
Adam
No.
Jamie
Okay. I always have trouble drinking cold water in the morning. And if you guys are the same way, it's kind of an unnatural thing to be drinking right? In the morning.
Heath
But in the morning?
Jamie
Yeah, like, first thing you know, it's too cold.
Adam
What do you normally go for?
Jamie
Cold water. I just don't really enjoy it, you know?
Heath
Why don't you go room temperature?
Jamie
How would I do that?
Heath
Let it sit out for a second.
Jamie
I don't know.
Adam
You got a faucet in your kitchen.
Jamie
Oh, I don't never drink from the faucet. That's gross.
Adam
Kind of weirdo. Anyway, we got your emails in your backyard.
Heath
You were that kid that wouldn't drink from the water fountain when you were growing up, right?
Jamie
I was. I, I would drink from the water fountain, but boy, did I hate creek.
Adam
Somewhere in your town.
Jamie
I hated those kids who put their whole mouth on the water fountain. Those creeps like Dan.
Dave
I never put my mouth on a water fountain. At least I drank from a word fountain. One time I was with Adam at a Giants game, a tailgate outside of it. And we met some, some fans of the show and they were awesome. They were nice, you know, Hi, how are you? They, they go to shake Adam's hand when they walk away. The second they walk away, Adam's like scrambling for hand sanitizer.
Jamie
Don't tell that story, by the way.
Dave
Dan, I, I just googled.
Jamie
I just googled W E R T E R. I've never heard of that beverage before. Wt we are W E R T E R. What kind of, what kind of fountain?
Dave
I said it like that.
Jamie
What kind of fountain did you drink from when you were a kid?
Dave
Water fountain. Oh, that.
Jamie
You changed it. You totally.
Dave
That's how I always say it. Water.
Heath
We had a, we had a former coworker used to always say water.
Dave
That's a Philly thing. I don't do the warder. You did.
Jamie
Absolutely. You're from Philly. All right. That's slander to. Damn. All right, so we got your emails. Fantasy Football cbsi.com that's the letter I send them in. Fantasy Football cbsi.Com no Apple podcast comments. If you want to leave us a five star review on Apple podcasts and you can leave, tell everybody why you like the show and then you can leave a question. We'll read those on the air. But I did go to Facebook and I got some good questions from our Facebook page. If you want to join our Facebook group, please do. It's a good community to get your questions answered. And it's just search for fantasy football today on Facebook. Two quick news items. The Ravens signed Derrick Henry to a two year, $30 million extension with $25 million guaranteed. And very small news. The Patriots signed. Sorry, this kind of sounds mean. They signed running back Trayvon Williams. Probably won't be a fantasy factor, maybe a special teams factor. But with Derrick Henry signing this two year, $30 million extension, $25 million guaranteed. Dave, why should he not be a first round pick even in a PPR league? He certainly deserved that last year. Based on how he did last year, he was worth a first round pick. Why shouldn't he be a first round pick this year?
Adam
Just feels like you're drafting him a little bit too high to his ceiling. And if you're drafting him that high in a PPR league, who are you passing up? That, that could be even better. At some point there will be some sort of downturn for Derrick Henry where he's not going to be 19 PPR points per game. I just, I, I try to target him in round two. I think that that's a safe time to get a guy who's been consistently great for fantasy managers.
Jamie
All right, would you take Derrick Henry or Malik Neighbors?
Adam
I have neighbors, right?
Jamie
Yeah, everyone's on team neighbors there. Okay.
Dave
Full bpr.
Adam
You're not, are you not Adam.
Jamie
No, I mean, I, I, I am, but it's like, you know, Derrick Henry averaged 20 PPR fantasy points per game, 19.9 PPR fantasy points per game with 19 catches last year, scored 18 touchdowns. He's unbelievable. And every time he's doubted, he, he, I mean, every time period. He's just amazing. All. Well, he, that's the thing.
Adam
He really, am I really doubting him for saying that he's not a top 12 player, but if you go to my PPR rankings right now, he's 14.
Jamie
Well, he averaged the same amount of points as Bijan Robinson last year. Bijan's your number one running back. Derrick Henry is a second round pick. I don't disagree with you because he actually wasn't that great in 2023 then he was amazing last year. But, but I'm just saying that there is a little bit of like a contradiction there. It's just age, I think. Well, it's also catches. But you see where I'm going with this.
Adam
He's also coming off of a year where he had 367 carries. It's a lot for a 31 year old man.
Jamie
Maybe not that 31 year old man. All right, let's give a big congratulations to Jim Schrager. He won our NFL draft contest with nine out of ten correct picks. Wow, that's amazing. So congratulations to Jim. You are in the podcast league. We will reach out to you at a later date. Let's close up our schedule discussion with some notes to know from our CBS Sports research team. Dallas is the first team in NFL history with six straight games against 11 plus win teams from the previous year. The Eagles are the first team in NFL history with 10 games versus playoff teams from the previous year. Like, like I said yesterday, I mean the NFC east just got a really tough draw. Detroit has the most road games against above 500 teams from the previous season in NFL history. Detroit plays eight road games against teams with winning records from the previous season. That's the most in NFL history.
Adam
How many of them are in a dome?
Jamie
I don't know. You tell me.
Adam
No. Coughing is not the right answer.
Jamie
Jared. Cough.
Heath
How's it going?
Jamie
Thank you. You tell me. While I tell you this. The Chiefs have seven prime time games. That's the most in the NFL, including five in the first eight weeks, including the Sunday Night football matchup that CBS Sports ranked as the worst Sunday night football matchup of the season. Week three, Chiefs at Giants. Not cool. Cbs. The Commanders have eight standalone games. That's tied with the Chiefs and the Cowboys for the most. And the. This is something I definitely should have mentioned yesterday and I am sorry I said. The Patriots have the easiest strength of schedule in the afc, but which team has the easiest strength of schedule? Based on last year's results, it's the 49ers and they have the easiest strength of schedule for any team since the 2015 Atlanta Falcons. None of San Francisco's last seven games are against teams that made the playoffs last year.
Dave
What did the 2015 Atlanta Falcons finish?
Jamie
That's a great question. Let's.
Dave
I got the so called easiest schedule ever.
Jamie
2015. Who's gonna find.
Adam
I got it. They were 8 and 8.
Dave
They were 8 and 8. So that's all they got out of the easy schedule ever. I'm pretty sure that team still had Matt Ryan on it.
Jamie
They were 6 and 10 the year before.
Dave
Great. So they got a two game increase.
Jamie
Yeah, I mean, that's not.
Adam
Julio has 136 catches for 1,871 yards.
Jamie
They had a pretty good offensive year.
Dave
The easiest schedule now is not likely to be the easiest schedule at the end.
Jamie
Everyone knows that. But it's still significant that they. All right, I'm not getting into this again. All right, let's. Let's get to some Facebook questions. We're going to start with Gabriel L. Best ii. That is a strong name.
Dave
Strong name.
Jamie
Right. I'm embarrassed by my name. Gabriel Best.
Dave
You're no Gabriel Best.
Heath
You say you're embarrassed by name. You've had the ability now to name two human beings.
Jamie
Yeah, they have stronger names than me, right?
Heath
They have stronger names than you. Okay.
Jamie
My name is Adam. I mean, can we be a little less original? Like literally the oldest name in the book.
Heath
Have you like, yelled at your parents about this?
Jamie
Every time I see them.
Heath
Every time. Your dad loves that conversation.
Jamie
All right, here's the question from Gabriel.
Adam
L. To hear, what's this guy's name?
Jamie
Gabriel L. Best the second.
Adam
How can you be best the second? Like, wouldn't the first be the best?
Jamie
Second best. All right. Why is Jameer Gibbs being.
Heath
Never heard that joke before.
Jamie
Why is Jameer Gibbs being ranked like he has the backfield to himself? That's question number one. And question number two, is this the deepest the quarterback position has been? Jamie, why don't you take question number one. Why is Jameer Gibbs being ranked like he has the backfield to himself? And he's averaged 18.2 PPR fantasy points per game with Montgomery last year, 31.5 points per game without Montgomery, including the game Montgomery left with an injury.
Heath
So aside from Bijan, I think you can make a case for about five or six running backs that could be number two. Gibbs is number two for me. Barkley scares the hell out of me because of the workload that he had last year. Henry because of his age, HN because of Tua. And I still think HN got a little bit worried about what the workload will be. And Genti just because he's a rookie. So those are really the guys I think that are and McCaffrey because of his injury, you know, those are the next guys for me in terms of who should be second. I think Gibbs has shown enough in a tandem that there's still plenty of upside and you've seen what he can be when Montgomery is not there. We have a new offensive coordinator. We have a team that's certainly more than committed to Gibbs being, I think even more featured than he has been in the past. And that's just speculation, but we'll see how that plays itself out. I just feel very confident in his skill set in the offense that he's in the offensive line, he plays in his role in the passing game. I, I, to me, he's, he's, he's got number one upside as we saw, you know. So that's why I like him. Even though he does have a very strong compliment. And to me he's again, he's the number two running back in fantasy.
Jamie
So I think. All right, so just to compare the two stretches, the first 14, 13 games with David Montgomery, we're talking about a 233 carry pace and only a 44 catch pace. That's what, you know, might, might get lost on people. He didn't really catch the ball that much the last four games. We're talking about a 306 carry pace compared to 233 with Montgomery and a 77 catch pace compared to a 44 catch pace with Montgomery. And I believe Montgomery actually had more catches than Gibbs in those first 14 games. Yeah, he had 36 and Gibbs had 34. That being said, Gibbs was the number six running back per game in full PPR in that stretch. Number five and half PPR, Montgomery was also top 12. He was 11th per game. So if you're looking for value, it's going to be Montgomery again. But like does anybody think that the split will be different? Jamie alluded to that he's hoping the split will be different. If it's not different, Jameer Gibbs is probably going to be a disappointment. Not a bust, but a disappointment as a top five pick. But do you guys think that it's a bigger piece of the pie, Dan and, and, and Dave for Gibbs this year with Montgomery on the field?
Adam
Go ahead Dan.
Dave
I don't think much is going to change. I was just looking at the difference between 2024 and 2023 when I guess Montgomery missed. What was it, four games to end last season. Was that what the number was?
Jamie
Three and a half?
Dave
Basically three and a half. Okay. And it really the just as efficient Gibbs, he was 5.2 yards per carry in 2023, 5.6. He had six more touchdowns, rushing the same amount of receptions despite having that opportunity to play more when Montgomery was out. So I think that what the reason people like Gibbs the most to me is just the floor on this offense behind this offensive line with that kind of skill set that he has, especially in ppr. You're looking at worst case, I think the volume he had in 2023. I don't know if it's going to jump ahead of 250 carry two, 250 carries and 52 receptions. So 300 plus total like he had last year. I would think it would actually come down if Montgomery just stays healthy because I don't. They don't. They don't have any reason to take Montgomery off the field. But you don't need that. I don't know if you need that volume like, like you said for it to maybe be worth a top five. Sure. In that Bijan range and that range of the players we're taking in that area. But there's a floor with Gibbs that I think people like run to run to. Yeah, they run to the.
Jamie
So is everybody cool with Gibbs as a top six pick overall?
Dave
Yes, because of that and that floor.
Adam
Last year was 18.9 PPR points per game. That's what he had in the 14 games with Montgomery. And yeah, like we're if you're drafting him as a top three running back, you're kind of drafting him close to a ceiling. And we, I certainly try and stay away from that, but the floor is so good there. There's going to be other running back. That floor is what Derrick Henry was last year. Derrick Henry was 19 PPR points per game. So yeah, you might be taking him a little bit early. But the upside case is the Lions offense has to play from behind a little bit more. I'm not sure that the offense will be quite as efficient as it was last year without Ben Johnson. Morton, the new offensive coordinator, just raved about both Gibbs and Jameson Williams talked about it's like super fast human beings that he's never had the chance to work with. And it would kind of make sense that in his third season and David Montgomery's 28 years old, a little bit more work goes on Gibbs plate and he's got great efficiency to go with everything else. I think he could, I think he could get right around 20 PPR points per game with Montgomery.
Dave
Can I put throw one small piece of cold water on this?
Jamie
Well after this commercial break, you can pour some cold water on it. We got to take a break. Sorry. Okay, we'll be right back with cold water. Didn't I already tell you I don't like cold water in the morning. We'll be right back with cold water after the cold cold word or going to pour some cold water when we come back.
Adam
Damn break already.

Dave
One thing is I think part of what frustrated managers for Gibbs two years ago was just the game script. And last year that was lost because the Lions had so many injuries on defense and their defense fell apart. We could be looking at a much improved Lions Defense this year as they get healthy. And then we could be looking at a lot of games that frustrated us at least as Gibbs managers two years ago when it was Montgomery, a lot more than we wanted to see. So that'd be the. That would scare me a little bit. And I actually find Montgomery to be a pretty good value where he's going.
Jamie
All right, there's one other issue. Okay, we gotta get going here, but go ahead.
Adam
I'm fine, but just food for thought. You can answer this later if you want to. Let's say you're gonna be sour on Gibbs. Who are you taking? Because I think you're gonna see a.
Dave
Lot that's gonna be fun to take Genti. I've already taken him in two of our mocks. It's a very fun pick to make.
Adam
Did you take him over Jameer Gibbs?
Dave
I. Where did I get. I think I got him at 8. I don't think so.
Adam
Because you are. You are knocking your head against the ceiling. You are levitating if you're taking him over Jameer.
Dave
No, I don't think I'm taking him.
Jamie
I don't think that. I mean, look, if Jameer Gibbs. Is anyone going to disagree with this comment? If David Montgomery stays healthy, Ashton Genti is going to have at least 50 more carries than Jameer Gibbs.
Heath
50?
Jamie
Yeah, because like, I'm not saying it's going to be the same exact split, but just for ref, for reference, he was on pace for 233 carries. Jameer Gibbs in Montgomery's healthy games last year.
Heath
I would take the under, but it's probably going to be close.
Jamie
And, and honestly, he might catch more passes. That's the thing. Like, Gibbs is not a 70 catch guy when Montgomery is there. He might be, but he wasn't even close to that. He was 44 catch pace with Montgomery there last year. They've got Laporta, they got Williams, they got ST Brown. They're not that many catches to go around. And he averaged a touchdown per game with Montgomery. There's actually more of a floor than I think for Gibbs. I'm sorry we're spending so much time in this question, but it's very interesting from a touch standpoint. I do think Genti will. Will blow him away if Montgomery's healthy.
Dave
I don't know that value of those touches though, that you have to consider.
Heath
Yeah, I also don't want to overvalue Genti with, you know, expecting him to walk in and do that right away. I mean, clearly we're expecting a Lot of great things from him. But like to, to say 50 more carries is a lot.
Jamie
I think that's 280 though. You know, I think probably approach 300.
Dave
But that's how competent the Raider.
Heath
I mean, you're putting, you're putting gives it the same number though.
Jamie
No, I'm put. No, I was putting Gibbs at two thirds. Oh, yes, yes, yes. I know what you're saying. All right, next question. Gabriel, you asked about the quarterback position. Going to skip that. We have another question about quarterbacks from Mike Gaynor. You talk a fair bit about running back handcuffs, but who are some great quarterback handcuffs, Especially with so many games now, game now, days without starting. What? All right, sorry, I shouldn't have read that part. Quarterback handcuffs. It's an interesting thought here. I wouldn't really take a handcuff, but who are some good backup quarterbacks? I guess we could.
Adam
Isn't this a Super flexible or 2.
Jamie
QB league question if you want to approach it.
Heath
That friend dealing with us now where he's got Kyler Murray and Anthony Richardson as his quarterbacks and he's contemplating trying to make a trade for Daniel Jones. And so Jones is one that comes to mind because clearly we've seen some of his upside when he's been a healthy starter, you know, he uses his legs. He was, you know, what a 3700 guy. Was it 20, 22. And you know, those are hard to find. And I think he'll do some similar things in this offense. And the reason he comes to the forefront for me at least is because there's a clear path to playing time. You know, so when you're talking about backup quarterbacks, like, you know, he's, he's one. Obviously we're excited about Jalen Milroe and what he could do if he ever gets an opportunity to start again. Mostly because he's going to use his legs. But look, there's been a pretty, pretty nice track record for Jameis Winston. I don't know if he'll be the first guy off the bench given what the Giants have in investing in Jackson Dart. And then you just look at, you know, again, the guys that don't have, you know, I think the, the long standing ability to stay in their role or be injured, you know, so Zach Wilson, you know, again, not sexy, but you know, there's, there's a path to playing, but that's really what it is.
Jamie
But can I ask you a question, though? Because I think for handcuffs it's not. I mean, I want guys that I Actually feel like I might start if the starter gets injured.
Dave
If a starter doesn't get interest, you're gonna have to start everybody.
Jamie
Well, but. But like, I'm not gonna. Zach Wilson might average 15 points per game.
Dave
Doesn't matter. And it's super flexible.
Jamie
But I'm just saying, like, okay, are.
Dave
We just trying to pick the guys on Joe Milton? That's an interesting one for Dallas. Dak Prescott has that injury history. He can run, he can throw. Yeah. Mac Jones and his Kyle Shanahan system. If Birdie gets hurt again, he's been hurt a lot. Everybody really scores in that Kyle Shanahan system, you know.
Jamie
That's a great one. Yeah, there's a couple more.
Adam
Damn.
Jamie
Howell.
Adam
Yeah, I was gonna get to Howell FOR SURE Because McCarthy, we know about his injury history, certainly recent injury history, and we know that Kevin o' Connell likes to work his magic with quarterbacks. So If I'm drafting JJ McCarthy in a. In a 2 QB league, spending one of my last picks on Sam Howell, I don't hate it. I also might be able to draft somebody else and then cut somebody before the season starts and pick up Hal. You can do that with pretty much all these guys, except maybe Zach Wilson. I think Zach Wilson is a great call, but if Burrow goes down, Jake Browning has proven to be a good quarterback. That can jump in there. That's somebody that I wouldn't mind stashing. If Stafford goes down, this is going to make some people puke in their mouths. But Jimmy Garoppolo would get the opportunity to play a little bit. And if Mahomes were to get hurt or miss time, it's Gardner Minshu.
Jamie
Yeah, that's a good one in that offense.
Adam
Maybe he'd be okay.
Jamie
Okay, next question. Two. Two for one here from Mark and Blaine. Mark says RJ Harvey or Travion Henderson. And Blaine says Omari and Hampton or RJ Harvey. So I'll let all three of you rank Harvey, Hampton, Henderson, Triple H. You.
Heath
Just did for me.
Jamie
Harvey, Hampton, Henderson.
Adam
Okay, should I rank them as if I were Triple H?
Jamie
Yeah.
Adam
Hampton, Harvey. Ah, Henderson.
Dave
That's actually pretty good. That was awesome. What a moment.
Jamie
That was great, Dave.
Dave
Wow, that was epic.
Jamie
Can you describe for our listening audience, Dan, what just happened there?
Dave
I don't know if I could describe that.
Heath
Well, you did the triple H water.
Dave
YouTube and watch for yourself. And Dave is bright red right now. It looks like I took all the air out of him. Let him catch his breath as we go through the rest of this question.
Jamie
Dan, how do you rank them? Harvey Henderson first.
Dave
I'm very high on him. I don't care about the Naji music. He fits that system so well. Gonna get so many red zone opportunities and big play opportunities. My God, can they block there? Greg Roman and that offensive line, he is easily my favorite. Harvey? Yeah, I've loved him pre draft. I gotta like him now. Got a little reservations about that offense, but I trust Sean Payton to scheme up open space for him. So I like those two specifically more than Henderson, who was one of my favorite prospects in the class. I just have my concerns about this Patriots offensive line. They've done a little bit to prove it. Not enough.
Jamie
Dan, you said you had some reservations. You strike me as someone who has not made restaurant reservations in at least five years.
Dave
Well, you are incorrect because I just planned out my brother's bachelor party a few months ago and made reservations throughout that party, so. Okay, very good. Sometimes I surprise even you, Adam.
Jamie
Here's James Doyle on Facebook. Who are some of your top RB2s on their NFL team you think could turn into a league winner if the primary running back were to miss significant time?
Adam
Love this subject.
Dave
Scatter Boo. Let me start with Cam. Scatter Boo.
Adam
He might be the one.
Dave
What?
Jamie
Are you serious?
Dave
What are you crazy?
Jamie
You just said yesterday they're going to use Devin Singletary like he's.
Dave
He's the top of the list if Tracy gets hurt. He's not the top of the list. He's just one. That quickly came to mind. You said from your teams and I was thinking about the Giants.
Jamie
Oh, yeah, okay.
Dave
From your fantasy team. Oh, well, look, he's a guy who had seven. He finished the season with 12 straight 100 plus yard scrimmage games. Proven he can do it both ends of the field. He's third best in yards for outrun. Like this was a workhorse, productive player in both areas of the game. Like how many of those number twos are there?
Jamie
He wouldn't be at the number one handcuff.
Dave
No, I mean, you could talk about Charbonnet. You can talk about a lot of these. These guys as well. Who else?
Heath
Charbonnet, Garendo, Mason.
Dave
Yeah, Mason. I'd rather have scattered.
Jamie
Trey Benson.
Dave
Benson. Yeah. What happened to him? Get good tape, Dave. There's like no hyper buzz around him at all.
Adam
Highlights. There were plenty of.
Dave
Yeah, no, that's fair. He ran high.
Adam
Yeah, but you kind of think that the coaching staff, if they were worth anything, could. Could try and bring that out of them. Maybe they just didn't really do it. I still feel like I think he's.
Dave
A nice buy this year.
Heath
So you'd rather have the starting running back for the Giants and starting running back for the Vikings?
Dave
No. Good point.
Adam
So are you saying. Oh, okay. So you're saying by putting Scatter Boo over.
Dave
I just don't trust Mason to be that talented in a lead role. He's done it with with San Fran, but anyone can kind of do it behind that Shannon scheme.
Adam
Yeah, but it's the same in Minnesota and the line is.
Dave
I feel that way about Minnesota's past game. I definitely don't feel the way about their run game at all.
Jamie
I'm gonna give one more name.
Dave
Similar principle scheme, but not. They don't block the same way in the run game.
Jamie
This is a guy.
Heath
Well, they definitely don't have as much upside as the San Francisco run game. I just think, like, if you give me Jordan Mason in the lead role versus either one of the Giants running backs, I'm going to take Jordan Mason.
Dave
Yeah, you could also. I mean, like, what about Naji? Naji is probably the best pick for this, right? If Hampton gets hurt too.
Heath
Yeah, yeah. I mean, you know, depending on how you view the Patriots backfilled Ramandre still, I mean, this.
Dave
This situation essentially did play out for us in fantasy last year. So there is opportunity. Like, this was the Chase Brown situation. There was Moss and Brown. A lot of people like Brown, they drafted Brown, but people like Moss, they drafted him too. And Moss got hurt and Brown was top five fantasy play.
Jamie
Sure. Tajie Spears.
Heath
Spears.
Dave
I think for it to fit, though, it has to be in that Cincinnati mole where it's like a top offense.
Jamie
I think Spears would be so good. I mean, Tony Pollard was very good last year. I think Spears would be great without him. And Austin Eckler, I think, is another guy. Looking at Eckler's games without Brian Robinson last year, it's not nearly as encouraging as I thought. He did score three touchdowns in three games, so he had a decent amount of fantasy points, but he didn't really get that many touches. He never had more than 14 touches in any of the three games without Robinson. But Eckler would probably be a top 20 running back at worst.
Heath
Ray Davis.
Jamie
Oh, Ray Davis.
Dave
Yeah.
Adam
So there were three names I wanted to give.
Heath
He had the one game without Cook last year and was great. Sorry, Dave, go ahead. What are your names?
Adam
Well, just with Ray, not only was he good last year when. When James Cook was out, Cook wants a new contract. What if he holds it out?
Dave
Yeah.
Adam
What if he misses training camp, shows up for week one? We know the track record of those guys that do that. They. They miss time. Ray Davis would be able to step in and be the, the lead running back in Buffalo, which might end up being a pretty good thing. Certainly a great value on draft day. Two more names. Jalen Wright.
Heath
Bless you.
Dave
Sorry.
Jamie
She's hit the mute button for good.
Dave
I was, and I was trying it to me button. I couldn't get there in time.
Jamie
He hit the mute button in. During the sentence in which he was trying to explain that he was hitting the mute.
Dave
I got there at the same time as you, if not slightly before.
Adam
You better his sneeze than my sneeze. My sneezes are ridiculously loud. All right, Jalen Wright, because we know that Devon Hn misses time. And Wright would be the next guy up, I think.
Heath
Is he the next guy up?
Adam
I as of now, I'm penciling him in as the next guy up. But we'll see Facial Tootin Jacksonville. I think he could be the main guy.
Heath
Yeah, I, I agree. I just wonder like, how much is it early in the season we're gonna see all three guys touching the ball.
Dave
Nine fumbles over the last two seasons for toot and I do like Tootin a lot, talent wise. And I did his profile for us versus CBS. But 11 fumbles, nine lost over the last two seasons. That scares the hell out of me as far as playing time goes.
Jamie
Next question is from Dave Walker. I had a teacher named Dave Walker. True story.
Dave
Walker, Texas Ranger.
Jamie
There you go. Realistic expectation for Kyle Pitts this season.
Adam
That wasn't me who made that noise.
Dave
Oh, man. Rewatching Giants tape, watching Cordell Flota no name corner and he's one interception of the years. A red zone route where Penix perfectly hits Kyle Pitts coming out of his break on an out route. And Pitts just like has the ball in his hands and like hands it to the Giants corner. It's like the microcosm for Kyle Pitts as a player. I this. I throw my hands up with Pitts. I've bought in on him every year at the decreasing value. Dave knows about this. Jamie knows. They mock with me. I've always, always felt like it's happening. I just can't get in my head what I watched on Florida tape. I don't understand what happened. I guess it's injuries. I don't really understand how a player could fall off this much from college to the NFL. So I Don't know what to say about him, but it's finally over. I'm not drafting him this year.
Jamie
I will point out Pitts finally had a lower adot was my one of my big beefs with with the way they were using him his first three seasons was he consistently led the position with the highest a dot or very close to it. Just not enough easy plays. We finally had about an 8.5 yard a dot and he was very good on a per catch basis. He was I think third amongst tight ends with 50 or more targets in yards per catch. He was 11th in yards per target. I may have switched them up but he was good on a per target and per catch basis. He was terrible on a per route run basis. He just did not get targeted. He had one of the lowest target per out run rates. You consider Kyle Pitts had basically the same yards per out run as, as David Najoku but David Najoku was like fifth in target per outrun rate and Pitts was 27th. So he just didn't earn the targets and I, I guess I really don't feel like he definitely will.
Dave
There was a comment from his coach this off like a few weeks ago. I don't know if you guys saw this where he's like last week, last week if something about he still needs, we still need to see consistency from him and like all these things like this guy's going into year five.
Heath
Oh, there's, I mean they were also hyping him up again. So.
Dave
Okay, I didn't see that but I saw that we need more consistent.
Heath
I think it was Zach Robinson again saying it.
Jamie
Yeah.
Dave
All right, well, all right. Next will be lower than ever.
Jamie
Jamie, this one's for you. First word from Micah Kurtz. Is Bucky Irving just a one hit wonder or do you see Bucky Irving repeating?
Heath
I see him repeating. I mean, you know, that's another guy that should be mentioned as Rashad White. Should something happen to Bucky Irving? Because we've seen him produce at a high level fantasy wise. But looking at the way he performed last year when he was in a shared situation, hopefully he gets more work this year and can be somewhat closer to a featured guy. I don't think that will necessarily be the case, but there's clearly that opportunity. But I think what you saw from him, especially down the stretch, like there's so much to love and this offense is fantastic. You know, I think just, you know that I hope it continues. But they've shown the ability to go from one offensive Coordinator to the next in a year to year span and get better. And so they're staying in house. You know, hopefully the loss of Liam Cohen isn't felt tremendously and you know, kind of a seamless transition, but he seems to be the guy. And I know the track record of day two, you know, day three running backs can be a little scary, but there's still so much to love about what he showed the offense that he's in can do. I, I think everything in all facets of the game and it feels as if this coaching staff trusts him. You know, that's what at least you got the impression, you know, from the owners meetings, you know, that they're just in love with him. So I, to me, he's an easy second round pick.
Adam
Dare I suggest there's meat on the.
Jamie
Bone here for Bucky Irving.
Adam
Final eight games, right? Final eight games, including the postseason, 18.1 PPR points per game, 15.2 non PPR points per game. In two of those games, just two of those games, did he play more than 60% of the snaps?
Dave
Yeah.
Adam
What if he played, what if he played 65 to 70 of the snaps every game?
Dave
And that could be something we see with the new coaching staff. Like that was one wrinkle that could actually change playing time and snaps and who gets what.
Adam
And just think, we all saw Rashad White play last year comparing the two of these running backs. Yeah, it's not even close.
Jamie
Yeah, well, I think the Bucks figured that out, Dave, because In their last four games, week 16, 17, 18 in the playoffs, 72 carries for Bucky Irving, 10 for Rashad White. So it was a pretty annoying split up until that point. But then they just, they said, Bucky's our guy. He carried them down the stretch and he scored 18.2, 23, 16.4 and 16.3 points per game in those four games. Pretty favorable matchups, I will say that. All right, a couple more questions from Facebook. I'll give this one to Dan from Jacoby. Where would you rank Travis Hunter strictly as a receiver prospect against last year's rookies?
Dave
Oh, my God, this is such a great question. I feel like we, I've been asked this question for. So I had Hunter as my clear cut, best wide receiver that I watched on tape in this class. To me, it wasn't really close. I like that. I think he offers something different. But what Hunter offers to me is, is I brought it up and I don't want to compare the two players because they're not the same he's not as explosive or straight line speed, but similar to what Justin Jefferson can do from the loose hip fluidity that he has and how that allows him to get in and out of his break, specifically at the top of his routes and then specifically with his release off the line of scrimmage, which helps him win in the red zone and it helps him stack on vertical routes. There's really no negative to his game that I see. Besides maybe the deep speed because he didn't test and I guess potentially his size, he's only 185. With that said, I would not have him above neighbors. I think now, given the ability to watch how players play at the NFL level, and I always say this, you're allowed to change your evaluation on players when you see how they play at the NFL level because that's the key. The key is it's all projection. We don't know how they'll adjust to the speed of the game. In the competition. I would put him over Marvin Harrison. I don't know if I'm thinking Marvin Harrison's game is exact. It's harder to translate. Now. I think Harrison could still be a dominant player with the right quarterback situation. I don't think Kyler Murray is that at all. And I don't think this is the system fit for him. But I think that Hunter may be less of a need for a system and less of a need for surroundings and can kind of just do it no matter what his situation is. So I'd put him out of him and then ahead of Romo Dunes as well. So he'd be wide receiver two for me. No, wait.
Jamie
Brian Thomas Jr. Don't forget about Brian.
Dave
Thomas Jr. Oh, and then Brian Thomas Jr.
Jamie
There's McConkey and Worthy for what it's worth too.
Dave
And McConkey and Worthy are great players, but I think I'd have him over both of them. McConkey maybe comes in the mix. I think I got to put Brian Thomas over him. It's just crazy to be able to move the way that he does. And the. The key with. With Thomas to me is like to have that kind of flexibility, that hip flex size. You see that with like Julio and like no one else. So I. He's a freak athlete. I have to put him. So maybe three. Three in the class for me.
Jamie
Okay, and last question. I'll give this one to me. This is from Gus. He says, have you given up baking burgers? And yes, I have. I have an air fryer now and I air fry Everything.
Dave
Thank God.
Jamie
Everything.
Dave
You know, somebody sent me a video the other day. Adam, my friend Kevin, who listens to our show and he's like, please send this to Adam asap. And it's like, it's like a tick tock video of like I tried a new way of making burgers and it's this, it's this woman and she has four burger patties already pre made a pot of boiling water and she drops them in and boils the burgers. My God, did it look bad when I came out of that, when it came out of that body, it was gray. That meat was so gray.
Jamie
Oh, that sounds horrible.
Dave
It sound looks horrible. And it's like the fat of this kind of breaking off and bubbling to the top. It looks so bad.
Jamie
I used to boil hot dogs. I don't know if you guys ever did that.
Dave
Yeah, I'm not a boiled hot dog guy. Like a dirty water dog guy. Like I always feel like rank the ways of eating hot dogs. To me, the number one way by far is a grilled dog. Yeah, easily. Easily. Not a dirty water dog. I'd say grilled dog one. I don't know if you've had these ruts Hut in New Jersey. Maybe Jamie. I doubt anyone else on this podcast that. Probably not even Jamie. They have something called the Ripper, which is a deep fried dog. That's pretty damn good.
Adam
Yeah, those are out there.
Jamie
Hot dogs aren't. Aren't unhealthy enough. Let's deep fry them.
Dave
Yeah, exactly.
Jamie
My rankings, I've never had that would be, you know, barbecue, stovetop, air, fryer, oven, boil.
Dave
Okay, I think I'd go boil over. Oven, oven, to me is just the absolute stone worst option. It just dries everything out.
Adam
What about on, what about on a stick over a bonfire?
Dave
Yeah, I like that. I like that a lot. Natural El. Natural probably.
Jamie
That's probably pretty good. All right, we're gonna take a break here. I air fried some chicken wings yesterday, by the way. They were.
Dave
Those are great. Yeah, chicken wings are great in there.
Heath
Fry.
Jamie
Wonderful. All right, we'll take a break. Get your emails. Fantasy football. We'll be right back.
Dave
Prices keep going up. These days it feels like being on an elevator that only goes up, going up. But not at Metro. We're pushing the down button. Going down.
Jamie
We've lowered prices.
Dave

Jamie
And you get a free Samsung 5G.
Dave

All right, we're back Emails. This one's from Miguel. What are your so I'm not quite sure why he asked this question with the, with the years, but we'll edit it. He said. What are your views if Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers sign for a three year agreement? So I don't really think that's in the cards, but let's just change it to what if they sign a one year agreement and Jamie didn't mention this on the schedule show yesterday, the Steelers open the season at the jets in Week one.
Dave
Oh, I love it.
Jamie
So it seems like, you know, there's still a lot of thought that it's going to happen eventually. What do you think about Aaron Rodgers eventually going to the Steelers?
Heath
Maybe that's what he was waiting for to see when they're playing the Jets. Maybe he's look, he, he hasn't played great the last couple of times we've seen him season wise, end of the packers tenure and you know, the, the year with the jets. But he was also coming off the Achilles injury. He's in his 40s at this point. You know, it's another team, another, you know, system he has to learn. And I, I think as we've talked about, you know, where he's been sort of in control of everything, that's not going to be the case in Pittsburgh. I don't think Mike Tomlin's going to allow him to, you know, have free reign. So I would guess it's going to be a somewhat frustrating experience. Now that being said, he should be very good for DK Metcalf based on his track record with number one receivers. He should still be able to, you know, throw to his running backs. So that's going to help. I think both, you know, Caleb Johnson and more importantly Jalen Oren, and he probably will keep the Steelers on the exact same track record where they've been, which is you know, keeping them in playoff contention and you know, getting into at least a wild card round and seeing how far they go. But it's not exactly the savior of the franchise. I mean, you know, if this was 10 years ago, it's a different story.
Jamie
And also, by the way, the Steelers play the packers in week eight, so very attractive schedule for Aaron Rodgers. Okay, we'll, we'll react to it if and when it happens. This is from Joe Bro. I have a question about murky running back rooms. More specifically, Chuba was great last year and he seems to be falling slightly in drafts. I'm just wondering if you think Rico Dowdle will take away work in Carolina or if they just signed him to replace Miles Sanders as the backup. And I would also like you guys to weigh in on Javante Williams and Jaden Blue with the Cowboys and, and the Jaguars. All right, so he wants to specifically about these three murky running back rooms. Dave, rank them in terms of least murky to most murky. Carolina, Dallas and Jacksonville. Least murky to most murky.
Adam
Yeah. Carolina is number one. That's easy. I think Chuba is their guy. Dowdle is going to be there, their backup guy. And then I mean I'm going to break out in hives with either the Dallas or the Jacksonville backfield because they are both pretty murky. I'm going to put, I'm going to put Jacksonville ahead of Dallas because I think they at least have some solid talent at running back between ETN Bigsby and the aforementioned Bashel Tutin. Whereas the Cowboys have Javante Williams who just isn't the same after his injury. They've got Jaden Blue who really profiled as like a passing downs back and that's it. They've got Phil Mafa who is a physical seventh round rookie running back and I'm Miles Sanders who's kind of fallen out of favor. So they, they've got crapola at running back that I just, I think I'm just gonna pass on drafting any of them. And I'm not going to be real keen to draft Jaguars. But as we talked about, was it this week or last week? Adam Chuba's somebody that I'm looking for in that late round three, round four range. It's kind of an underrated running back that can keep delivering good fantasy numbers from week to week.
Jamie
Dan, I'll give a hot take here. I will definitely be drafting more Jaden Blue than Chuba Hubbard. Obviously it's.
Dave
Oh, then. Oh, you mean value wise.
Jamie
Yeah, obviously it's you know, obviously it's based on value. There's a report in the Athletic just. Again, I, I struggle to call this a report, just a prediction. Saad Yusuf, sorry if I'm mispronouncing that. He believes that by the end of the year, Jaden Blue will be the number one guy at running back for Dallas. I. I just think it's like identical to Rico Dowdle last year.
Dave
I think it's more of the Pollard they found their next Tony Pollard, which essentially would be sort of a one, but more of like a split one. Like he had that, like, during his prime years with Dallas. But I'm with you. I like Jaden Blue a lot more than, I guess, consensus. I. I understand he's small, sort of. He is definitely small. What is he? 192, I believe. But I mean, some of these guys are in that range. Facial tune's not that much bigger. He's more rocked up like 206, but like a stronger player. But I think Jane Blue can do more than just passing downs. To me, I think he can be that Pollard type for them. And I don't want to totally skip this backfield because.
Jamie
Exactly.
Dave
Dak Prescott's coming back, their offensive line drafting offensive linemen over and over again, and Shonheimer made it clear we're gonna run the ball like it's what he's been all about. And he's like, the offense got together in the second half of the season, we started running the ball. It's like one of those type of coaching things I'm. I'm reading there. So I want a piece of that backfield and I don't want Javante. So Blue is the guy for me with talent there.
Heath
It just feels like easy spot for J.K. dobbins or Nick Cho, of course.
Dave
Well, yeah, that could change everything, and that should happen. True. Yeah.
Adam
But it. You could easily draft Chuba and Blue. You can draft anybody and Blue because Blue is going to end up even like, you know, hot training camp reports, and he looks good in the preseason. Like, you're still going to be able to get him at the absolute earliest round eight.
Dave
I guess the real thing Adam's saying then is just like, are any of us going to draft Javante Williams? I don't think I'll have him on any rosters. It doesn't sound like Adam's going to have him on any rosters. I. I don't know what value he could fall to where I would want him personally. That.
Heath
That's also to Dave's point, you could take both Cowboys running backs and at a very cheap cost. So if Javante is going to be the lead guy and you're looking at it as, I mean he is coming off a 50 catch season, you know, and, and for a guy that doesn't have maybe the same upside we once thought could easily produce fantasy wise like Rico Dowdle did, but with the potential of maybe Jaden Blue taking over that role at some point and being the more productive opponent of the two and Blue is at least as of now going to go later. You know, if we get to the point where the training camp reports are positive he's competing for the, you know, lead role, then that's going to change things dramatically for him clearly. But that's the one thing I go back to Chubo, you know, I, I think we just overlook maybe what ETN's role could be and that makes me a little bit nervous. So I, I agree with Dave. It's, it's the less, less murky of the backfields that we're looking at here. But I'm not taking him at the 3, 4 turn. I would most likely looking for chuba in the 4, 5 turn at the earliest, you know, so I don't want to reach for Chuba Hubbard this year. He was great last year, but this feels like what he was able to accomplish last year was basically doing it as the solo act. And I think we're going to see him sharing more so than we expect because of the other two guys.
Dave
Can I Quick hot take? Quick hot take. Just looking at what Jamie just mentioned, which shocked me and I, and I just didn't remember. Shantae Williams had 52 catches last year. 99 over the last two seasons. That's a Sean Payton stat if I ever saw one.
Heath
You know what?
Dave
Here's my hot take. I'll take Aldrich estimate over Javante Williams this year. Straight up in fantasy. What Broncos didn't. Yeah, I'll take Aldrich estimate.
Jamie
Look, I don't want to completely rule out Javante. I think the only hope is that watch what happens.
Dave
Dave, you remember that article you wrote two years ago about Sean Payton? The production of the running backs and the guaranteed volume you get in the past game. Give me that.
Adam
Yeah, but it's not that guy.
Jamie
Yeah, I don't think estimate.
Dave
Why not? Why can't he be there too? It's gonna be.
Adam
He might be there too, but he's not gonna catch any.
Jamie
No catching. I don't think so. Not with him.
Dave
I said that about Devonte Williams and he had 99 catches.
Heath
Let's make a bet for 20, 27. Okay.
Dave
I'm not putting him on that many catches. Come on.
Heath
No, no, it's a. It's a simple bet. It's a simple bet. So here's the bet. If Javante Williams.
Dave
Okay, you know what? I take it back. I just looked at his college reduction.
Jamie
Yeah, come on.
Dave
I expected more out of estimate in the past game.
Heath
This is all Monte Williams outscores Audric estimate. Then Adam gets at least two points per set.
Dave
No, he's expected to. He's drafted 100 picks ahead of him.
Jamie
Well, there's gonna be some test match. Yeah.
Dave
He gets no boost and all the. By the way, it's only 26 receptions over Notre Dame. I take back this estimate. I guess he can't play that role. But you overestimate it. I just feel like, yeah, I overestimated it. That was actually I wrap it up. I feel like this Javonte Williams thing, I'm not going to look at 99 catch of the last two years because Sean Payton gave him that and be like, I want to take him this year, get him off my teams. Unrolsterable.
Jamie
No. Okay, this is where I think maybe you're going a little too far. Even though we're team. We're team blue here. But listen, Javante Williams, you're. You're hoping that some guys, it just takes longer for them to recover from the torn acl. Javante, you know, Chris Godwin is an example. It really took him, like he even said it took him a long time. More than a year. More than a year and a half, I'd say. So maybe for Javante. I watched some tape, I thought he looked like a fullback last year. He just really had no explosives. But if you can get that back because I think Javante is going to get the first crack. I think he's definitely going to be the third down back at least over blue. He's a good pass blocker, so he's going to have the first shot at it. I just think my personal opinion is it's going to be like Ezekiel Elliott. Basically. It's. He's just not good enough anymore and they're going to want the fresh legs. All right, this one is from Joe.
Dave
Samir White, part two.
Jamie
Yeah. I've been offered a trade. I can't decide whether or not to accept it. It's a super flex tight end, premium league. It's ppr. We start three receivers this so Joe Has Dak Tua and Cousins, so it doesn't. All right, Dak Tua and Cousins. So should Joe trade Kyler Murray and a second round pick for Jackson, Dart and Teteroa McMillan.
Heath
Kyler and a second round pick to get those two quarterbacks?
Jamie
Dart and McMillan and McMillan, Jackson, Darton, Tedro and McMillan.
Dave
And he's rebuilding. Is that what he said?
Jamie
He didn't say that. But he has Dak Tua and Cousins already.
Adam
We know anything about his receivers?
Jamie
No.
Dave
I really like this deal. I think this could be a really good time to trade Kyler. Skyler has another down season. That value is going to tank. Cardinals are not going to continue on with him. I don't think at that point.
Heath
Tell me. Trade again.
Dave
I'm sorry.
Jamie
Yeah, it's Teteroa McMillan, wide receiver for the Panthers.
Dave
And Jackson way more valuable than a round two pick.
Jamie
And Jackson Dart, quarterback for the Giants for a second round pick. And Kyler Murray.
Adam
Yeah. And would Dart even make it to the second round in a super flex league?
Dave
He usually get like in the two I've done back end of round one. Yeah.
Adam
Okay.
Jamie
This.
Adam
This is a yes. They're old. Cousins is super old. Two of them might be a backup by this time next year. And Dak Prescott's 32. You need some. Dart's gonna have a shot to start.
Heath
It's not like Kyler's old, though.
Dave
Not old like I could see the other side. The other side of it is Kyler's proven he can be a starting NFL quarterback and might have a job for another 5, 10 years. Dart may have no years if Dark fails early.
Adam
About five, ten years for Kyler.
Dave
I don't either, personally. That's just the other side of the argument.
Heath
If Dart struggles with whatever playing time he gets this year and everybody's fired, does the new regime come in and say, darts our guy?
Adam
It's true. It's possible that they don't, but then you still have Ted McMillan.
Heath
Yeah, I think it's worth the gamble for the receiver, so.
Dave
Yeah.
Jamie
All right. Okay, this one.
Dave
Adam Thomas in the chat said, I was gonna say Javante will be Azer Zamir White this year. Remember that debate we had, buddy?
Jamie
I know you remember it.
Dave
I do.
Jamie
By the way. What are you. What are you doing tonight? You just gonna watch tv?
Dave
Well, last night was Nicks and Panthers for me. I'm actually a huge Panthers fan. You don't know about this, but we have discussed it a little bit tonight. There's no good sports on. I don't think.
Jamie
Wait a second. What? You're a Panthers fan now?
Dave
I became a Panthers fan like 3 years ago. My best friend moved to Florida.
Jamie
I think you're kind of obsessed with me. Like this is. This is crazy. Nixon.
Adam
Anyway, you don't even like this on drinking water.
Dave
Oh, I love water. I drink so much water. But I now become unfortunately a water snob, which sucks. Like, I read too much stuff about tap water and I can't drink tap water anymore.
Jamie
Yeah, this is creepy now.
Dave
But anyway, back to the Panthers thing. My best friend moved down there and then he started taking me to playoff games. I went to like two playoff games, a cup game. I love this team. Yeah, they're awesome.
Jamie
Let's go six one yesterday. I love it. It's great.
Dave
Crazy. But tonight. I don't know what's. What's going on tonight.
Jamie
I'm playing tennis tonight, buddy. Just want to let you know you want to.
Dave
You need. Are you playing doubles or singles?
Jamie
I'm playing doubles.
Dave
I'll drive up if you need a fourth.
Jamie
No, no, it's a. It's a USTA match. It's a league match. Like you know, I'm just letting you know that I. While you're sitting on the couch doing nothing. I'm training. All right.
Dave
Respect it.
Jamie
Question from Anna dear Matthew Anthony and Savion Williams is try again.
Dave
Well the only William the Savion I.
Adam
Know Matthew and Savion are packed.
Jamie
They're all packers.
Dave
They're the first three golden.
Jamie
Yeah yeah, yeah first three packers drafted 16 team league. I have 101 in our 16 team family league this year. I'm stressing out about it. We don't draft until the end of August. I don't pick again until 32. Do you think it's safer to go with a running back or take Jamar Chase? What would you guys do at the with the first overall pick in a PPR 1 quarterback but 16 team league?
Heath
Oh, chase.
Dave
Receiver, PPR. It's gotta. It's got to be chasing PBR. I don't even think it really is close. I also think to answer the question do you think it'll be safer? That's the whole point of going receiver instead of running back with those premium picks it is safer over time. Receivers have a much running backs have a much stronger track record of getting injured.
Jamie
My data would say that receiver is really no safer than running back. In fact the draft ADP sort of.
Dave
Is it your data or is it just azer stat that I look I've.
Jamie
You know, I haven't updated it, but looking at like the top 12.
Dave
Did you take out like the game when it was windy in December and stuff like that?
Jamie
No, listen, seriously, it's important. Top 12 picks, ADP at running back and wide receiver. I've gone back, I've looked at the last. I'd say at least five years, except for last year. And I guarantee a running back was better than wide receiver last year. In terms of players who were drafted top 12 and finished top 12. You have a higher hit rate at running back than you do at wide receiver. I think it surprised me when I saw that. And then last year would only reinforce that. But I'll go ahead and update that information sometime over the next. I can do it probably next week. But it's, I think it's a. There's, it's a myth to say that receivers are safer than running back. Personally, I think.
Adam
Okay, here are some names that are around 32nd overall in our consensus PPR rankings. Joe Mixon, James Cook, Lad McConkey. Kenneth Walker. Breeze Hall, JSN Chuba Hubbard. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson.
Heath
There's no way those receivers make it there.
Jamie
I don't know, Jamie.
Adam
All the more reason to take Chase.
Jamie
Well, wait, that's it. What are you looking at? Your consensus rankings.
Adam
Consensus PPR rankings for me, Jamie.
Jamie
So why wouldn't there, why would there be no way that the receivers.
Heath
I don't think they get there. I mean, yeah, when you, when you start to see how could be.
Adam
The receiver pool dries up on top.
Heath
People are going to start to take those guys sooner.
Adam
You can take a running back and Josh Allen with Jamar chase in a 16 team league and feel really good about that.
Jamie
Okay, take Chase. Basically.
Heath
It's basically this. Do you want to. From the drafts I've done and, and again these with other, you know, I've done some, some other analyst sites. Yeah. Do you want Jamar Chase and James Cook or do you want Bijan Robinson and Terry McLaren?
Jamie
Jason Cook, hands down.
Dave
Yeah, I guess Jason Cook.
Jamie
Next question. All right, let's fire through the rest here. This is from Kip in Myrtle Beach. When drafting Travis Hunter in a league where you can play him as a defensive back and get both offensive and defensive points, how much does that move Hunter up in Redraft and does it move him above Genti and Dynasty?
Dave
Wow.
Heath
Does not look above, gentlemen.
Dave
He's not gonna. Yeah, I don't think he's gonna play that much on defense.
Jamie
What'd you say, Jamie?
Heath
He's around three picks in this scenario.
Jamie
Okay, this is from Trevor. What are your thoughts on Dalton Schultz possibly returning to fantasy usability for at least part of the season? As Higgins learns the playbook or learns the NFL and Kirk learns the offense in Houston.
Heath
He would be at the tail end of like the desperation tight end guys.
Dave
Right.
Adam
Plays the Rams in week one. It's a zone heavy defense, so might get some targets. You could use him as a streamer to begin the year.
Jamie
All right, this is from Max. From a small town outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Dave o' Connor. First question, is it Dave that says this is gonna go the distance in the intro? No.
Adam
Definitely yes.
Jamie
It's Chip Nance, I'm pretty sure. Second question, can you do an episode or two on players who are being drafted based on their ADP at their ceiling or flight floor? I think this info is so valuable, especially for salary cap leagues. No, we're not gonna do an episode, but we can do a segment on it. Players who are being drafted at their ceiling or floor based on their adp.
Adam
Why can't we do an episode on it?
Jamie
I guess we could.
Heath
That's probably an August conversation though, once we have.
Adam
Yeah, absolutely.
Jamie
Yeah.
Adam
Well, then if we do it now, then we're. It's, it's closer to the floor. But the value of that segment, you're hitting the ceiling. If you.
Jamie
I feel like James Cook is being drafted at his floor. He makes it into the third round, I just cannot see him performing anything worse than that. Unless he holds out because Dave said holdouts, maybe they won't miss time, but they struggle. Just look at Josh Jacobs a couple years ago, for example. The three receivers who held out going into this year got off the really slow starts, right? There were three. It was Iuk, Lamb, and Chase. I believe James Cook, to me, is a guy that's like, you get him in the third round. Joe Mixon in the third round. Are you kidding me? Like that is drafting these guys at their floor. All right, last one is from Scott. I'm in a ridiculously deep PPR keeper slash IDP league. My league mates are extremely sharp and I'm in bad shape running back wise. The only decent options are the incoming rookies. So I have Breeze, Hall, Tyrone Tracy and Trey Benson. I'm keeping Breeze Hall. Would you keep Tracy or Benson or go fish.
Dave
Tracy?
Heath
So if you don't keep them, you're just getting draft picks or if you do keep them, you don't have the same draft pick?
Jamie
I wasn't quite sure.
Heath
I mean, if you can keep them and it doesn't cost you anything, then why would you not take flyers on those guys? Depending when you have to make the.
Jamie
Decision, it seems like you can only keep 2 of 3 and maybe he can keep at most 2 of 3 and maybe just one. He's keeping Breeze Hall. So it's. It's down to Tracy or Benson.
Heath
That seems like a no brainer. I keep Tracy.
Jamie
Dave.
Adam
Yeah, Tracy reluctantly agreeing because, I mean, I don't love the situation for either of them.
Jamie
I feel like making a joke, but I feel like it might be a little inappropriate.
Adam
Too edgy.
Jamie
Yeah, I think so. It's a Simpsons joke about Tracy. You all know. If you know, you know. Oh. All right, we are out of here. Thanks so much, Dan. It's good to have you on.
Dave
It's great to be back.
Jamie
Love your background.
Dave
Yeah, it's fantasy today. I got a company man.
Jamie
Love your floating head.
Dave
Yeah, it's not too bad. One day this construction will be done in my house. I don't know when it started in January. It was supposed to take six weeks, and here we are in the middle of May, and I don't know what to. Yeah, I have no idea what to do.
Adam
What does this want to give us a sneak peek?
Dave
I'm not in that current room, but I could show you a room that's just completely gutted. They redid the floor and they repainted everything. It's gonna look nice, I think, but.
Adam
Well, I should hope so.
Dave
I don't know when and I don't know why they're doing it. A lot of questions, not a lot of answers.
Jamie
Bathroom renovation for dad. Yes. Good call, Eric. Thank you. All right, we're out of here, everybody. Have a great weekend. We'll talk to you on Monday on Fantasy football.
