This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. Wanna play? Can you believe this? No, I can't.
Adam
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Dan
Off to the races and he stays on his feet. This is gonna go the distance. Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
Adam
It's bailback time. It's not Friday though. Thursday, March 19 welcome to the show. Happy March, Ma. What a super fun day. Thursday and Friday, the first two days of the tournament. They're the best. And we're going to talk fantasy football though here. We're all wearing our, our team colors today.
Dan
Well, I mean, in a plight of panic, Adam saw that Jamie and I were representing our teams because we are true fans and we love our teams. Adam. Oh my gosh, Adam, were you not the guy who went to a kid's birthday party and didn't watch Miami's first playoff game in God knows when ever?
Adam
No, it wasn't a kid's birthday. But idvr, you know, idvr, it's fine. I guarantee ever. I guarantee you that I am a bigger fan of Miami basketball than either of you are of Wisconsin basketball or Florida basketball.
Dan
Prove that. We can only lean on the one piece of evidence we have, which is you did not watch the game live.
Adam
That was a football game. I, I care. Here's the difference. I care about my team when they're bad. You don't.
Dan
How do you know any proof of that?
Adam
Jamie didn't start watching Florida basketball until like three weeks ago. That's my.
Dan
Now he's just taking shots. He can't even see the logo. It's like you didn't even change this.
Adam
This. But this hoodie is so. I got this my freshman year of college. A 20, 24 year old hoodie. That.
Dan
I'm real.
Adam
All right. Anyway, you got your, your emails. Fantasy football. CBSI.com got tweets. You can follow us on Twitter at adamazer at Jamie Eisenberg, J A M E Y at Dan Schneier, NFL Schneier is S C H N E I E R A lot of Owls. Dan Schneider, NFL got your tweets.
Jamie
No way. You didn't know how to spell his name. You actually had to read how to spell his name.
Adam
I mean, I didn't want to. I didn't want to get it wrong.
Dan
We're setting the tone here today on the mailback.
Jamie
Unbelievable.
Adam
A couple of quarterback, not the Eagles acquired Andy dalton for a seventh round pick from Carolina. He might be the number three quarterback on the team behind Tanner McKee and the Vikings resigned. Carson Wentz, who you know did a decent job last year, was also weird.
Dan
Two weird signings. No team's going to carry three quarterbacks. I wouldn't think so. I don't really know what's going on with either of those.
Jamie
Although, I mean, the Vikings twice now in the last three years have had quarterback Disasters.
Dan
True.
Jamie
And so insurance wouldn't surprise me if they're carrying three. But I also wouldn't be surprised at this point if they traded JJ McCarthy if they can get value.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
So Thomas would be a fan.
Adam
Carson Wentz through for 173 and 2, 352, 236 and 1, 313 and 0 and then 144 yards and a touchdown. He was so injured when he was playing that last game at the Chargers. I think it might have been a London game or whatever, but it was
Jamie
in London and his shoulder was falling off.
Adam
Yeah, he was so injured in that game. Okay, let's get to it here. Emails Fantasy football. Com this is from Kevin. He says Dear South Florida, vcu, Akron in Texas. Those are Kevin's first round upset picks. Okay, cool. Not sure if you've already. Oh no, nevermind. What are your thoughts on on this topic? Have how have offensive line moves across the NFL impacted your fantasy projections or rankings? Jamie, any major rankings movements based on the offensive lines?
Jamie
Nothing major. I do like the fact that obviously the Raiders got an upgrade with Linder Mom. That really hasn't changed how I feel about the Ravens per se. Trying like anything significant.
Dan
I like what Houston's done on their line.
Jamie
I like some of the move the Patriots made, specifically getting Vera Tucker. You know, I thought that was good. I thought the Giants keeping their guys and getting, you know, getting Neil back and adding to it was good.
Dan
Big one for me is the lion signing Cade Mays. I thought Cade Mays was probably the most underrated offensive lineman on the entire market and the best center on the market besides Linderbaum, obviously. And just to add him to that team, I was just watching some of what the Panthers did and what made them so successful in the second half in the run game. And I thought he was a huge part of it. So just him going from that center spot in Carolina over to Detroit where they really didn't figure out a solution. Last year after blanking his name, the kid from Arkansas. What's his name? Their old center retired. Yeah. They didn't find a solution and it kind of hurt them in some spots. So I'm excited for that for the Lions. That's a big one for me.
Jamie
Yeah. And but losing Decker, you know, could be.
Dan
That hurts. Yeah.
Jamie
You know, so that's something to keep an eye on. But I wonder if they just move Sewell to the other side at this point.
Adam
Yeah. And I think the Lions are an interesting one. I mean, is their offensive line no longer A huge strength. I don't know.
Dan
I think the run game, I think they still are with Maze and Seoul. They're still just having those two weapons in the run game is big past game. Maybe they can start to see some more cracks.
Adam
Yeah, I. I thought the Bills might lose their center and their starting guard. They did lose David Edwards, but they re signed Connor McGovern. So I was happy that they were able to get one of them. The Chargers were pretty active. They signed Tyler battish to a three year, $30 million deal. Signed Cole Strange, Trevor Penning. They were active, but it wasn't major moves. And then you said you liked what Houston did. I don't know they've really done anything too major here. They did sign Braden Smith.
Dan
I think going from Howard to Braden Smith is a good upgrade there at right tackle for Shroud.
Adam
Yeah, they signed a guard, Evan Brown. They signed a guard, Evan Ingram and Braden Smith right tackle from the Colts. But it was. I don't know if there's a team like the Bears. Last year the Bears added three players. It was huge.
Dan
And look at what it did for fantasy. By the way, that those Bears ads.
Adam
And I think if you talk about the Raiders not just signing Linderbaum, it's. It's getting Colton Miller back and healthy for full would be great. So they could be a team that really improves on the offensive line. All right, thank you. Great question to start.
Dan
Genti still going too late, like in our draft. I was surprised to see him go mid. I think it was late too.
Adam
Mid 2 is mid 2.
Dan
It was midday. Okay. Still kind of feel like he should be a 12 this year with those upgrades.
Adam
Here's an email from Matt. He says, hey, Doug. Doug two, Doug three and Doug four. This is from a movie that Dan has definitely never seen. Probably never heard of.
Dan
Two, Doug three, Doug four. No. Definitely never heard of this one.
Jamie
Hangover.
Adam
No, this is multiplicity. Multiplicity.
Dan
What was it?
Adam
Multiplicity.
Dan
What the heck is that?
Adam
Michael Keaton. He clones himself.
Jamie
Yeah. I don't know if I've ever seen it all the way through.
Dan
Michael Keaton, like the guy from Batman? Yeah, he. When he was young. I didn't even know he was young at any point. I only know him as Alfred.
Adam
All right, what else, Jamie? If I say Michael Keaton, what's the first movie you think of?
Jamie
Beelje?
Dan
I think it is probably Batman for me.
Adam
Yeah, I think it's Batman for me.
Dan
Is it? That's not like a main role or anything.
Adam
He was Batman. He was Batman.
Jamie
He was the first Batman. When they did the movies.
Dan
Yeah, I'm definitely thinking of the wrong guy. I thought we were talking about alf.
Adam
You've seen the other guys, right?
Jamie
You thought they were talking about Alfred.
Dan
Yeah.
Jamie
Michael Caine. Yeah.
Adam
I was like, what are you talking about? Michael Keaton's never been young. You're thinking of Michael Caine.
Dan
I know you're talking about Alfred. Michael Kane.
Adam
Michael Keaton was the original.
Dan
You can see how I could get that one wrong in the movies. Anyway.
Adam
All right, Anyway. Okay. The question is from. From Matt, who's a Multiplicity fan. We tend to draft players returning from major injuries through rose colored glasses. You've already downgraded.
Dan
Yeah, there you go.
Adam
You've already downgraded Malik Neighbors. Who's Wilson?
Dan
Garrett Wilson, I guess, is he.
Adam
He's not coming back from a major injury. Scatterboo and Judkins, have you downgraded them Enough? I reviewed ADPs of players for the season after they suffered major injuries and compared it to how they finished and here's what I found. Chris Godwin, ADP was 91. End of season ranking was 258. This was the first for last year. Christian Kirk, ADP 145. End of season ranking was 321. Stefan Diggs, ADP was 84. End of season ranking was 119th.
Dan
This is.
Adam
I hope this research is correct for Matt. TJ Hawkinson was terrible. What was he coming back from? Yeah, towards ACL in 2023 for week
Jamie
15 or week 16?
Adam
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Breeze Hall. Breeze hall was not coming back from a major injury, was he?
Jamie
ACL four games into his rookie season?
Adam
No, I. Okay. I don't know. Okay. I thought he was just referring to last year, but yes. Breece Hall. Anyway, his point is what. Something I agree with here. So we do look at injured players through rose colored glasses. It does make me very nervous. Dan, how do you feel about it?
Dan
It's nerve wracking. I mean, you have to factor it into the, the rankings. But I mean those the only examples we have. I feel like we'd have to do a whole study on this to kind of see.
Adam
So I, I just looked up, let's see, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 wide receivers in the last.
Dan
Like Diggs had an ACL and then came back last year and helped. I mean, I wouldn't say helped you in fantasy. He did at times. That. That was more of like a usage issue than like a. An actual performance issue from Diggs.
Adam
I agree, but they used him that way because he was coming off a torn acl. So I think you know he ended up. Let's see where he ended up.
Dan
I mean he probably didn't end up great. He wasn't playing. He had random games where he just wasn't involved.
Adam
He outperformed his ADP. He was wide receiver 25 per game and he was definitely going later than that.
Dan
Yeah, and I guess that was. He was going later in that in part due to the acl. So it's one small win. But I don't trying to think like of some of the other examples if
Adam
you want to let me get through the six here.
Dan
Oh, sorry. I think you at threw it to us but go ahead.
Adam
Right then you said do we have any others? I said I have six.
Jamie
Oh okay.
Adam
But Diggs wasn't one of them so that was a good one. Jameson Williams tore his ACL in his rookie season and was really bad his second season. Didn't, didn't do much well he was
Jamie
also suspended his second season because of the gambling thing.
Adam
Yeah but, but he, he had 354 yards in 12 games.
Jamie
He didn't share his ACL. His rookies easy towards he was going
Dan
into going into NFL.
Adam
Okay, what happened in his rookie season? They break his leg till the end
Dan
of the play because of it I think or for a while.
Adam
Okay, for scratch him then I. No Jameson Williams, Stefan Diggs put them on the list. George Pickens detours ACL in college right. His last year?
Dan
I think so. I do think he had a very good rookie year.
Adam
He averaged 15.4 yards per catch on an absolutely terrible offense that threw 12 touchdown passes. Here's Chris Godwin. Chris Godwin so this is actually to me encouraging. Chris Godwin tore his ACL and his MCL on December 19, 2021 and he followed that up with a thousand yard season. 104 catches, 1023 yards, only three touchdowns. He wasn't great the first half of the season. The second half of the season he averaged 8 yards per target. In his last eight games he was on pace for over 1300 yards. Tampa now Tampa Bay threw 44 times per game and threw for more than 4700 yards. But Godwin actually the first time around 2022 was, was pretty good last year coming off the fractured ankle he was pretty bad. Cortland Sutton TOURS acl in week two of 2020 and he was bad in 2021. Really bad. He was also bad in 2022. Keenan Allen tours ACL in week one of 2016 and he followed that up with a great season. He was wide receiver four per game the next year and Jordy Nelson tore his ACL in the preseason of 2015 and he was the number two wide receiver per game in 2016 with 16 touchdowns. I think 14 touchdowns, 1257 yards. He was much less efficient than he was before the ACL. But he's also 31. So I found a mix of of great, great examples and some bad ones. I think it's worth noting that Keenan Allen towards ACL in week one. Jordy Nelson was preseason but Godwin was really late in 2021. He tore his ACL and his MCL and he followed it up with a good year that was second half backloaded. But Malik Neighbors towards ACL in week four, but he also tore his meniscus. So Jamie, I don't know if there's a right answer here, but at least there are some encouraging examples.
Jamie
I think it's just a matter of, you know, how risk averse you are, you know, and you see the talent of what Malik Neighbors for example has to offer. And so at what point did you do any of Beckham Beckham tours ACL
Adam
late in his career?
Dan
No, he had the first tear with the Giants against the Ravens or twice.
Adam
That's right. All right, so let's see. Beckham. Which year was that Dan?
Dan
The Ravens Giants one.
Adam
That was probably 2017.
Dan
Yeah. Played four before they traded him and
Adam
then in 2018 he came back and he had. He averaged 80, 88 yards per game in 12 games. That's pretty good.
Jamie
And I think the fact that Neighbors did it early in the season, the fact that he's young should be in what I would consider a better offense this year than he was in last year because Jackson Darch is better, you know, in, in year two. I think if you're okay with the maybe early season somewhat struggles if you want to put it that way. You know, just because coming back from a significant injury takes a little bit more time. So they may be cautious with them in training camp etc. To me, round two is a great spot for him. Like where he went in our mock draft this week is. Is a little too soon, you know. Yeah, I think there's going to be a clear cut top four receivers in Puka, Jamar, Chase, JSN and Amara St. Brown five through eight. You can have pros and cons for all of them. Lamb because he's awesome but also George Pickens, Drake London because he's done really well the last years. But two Appendix doesn't make you feel very encouraging. And then this is where kind of neighbor and Nitin Jefferson obviously coming off the terrible season. And is Kylie the right guy? I think those three are probably the next three. And then it's to me, neighbors is is in the next group, you know, after those three.
Dan
Okay.
Jamie
Yeah, I would take him after those three persons.
Adam
By the way, Beckham fractured his ankle in week five of 2017.
Dan
That was what that injury was.
Adam
Then he came back in 2018.
Jamie
But he did have two ACL tears. I don't know when the first one was.
Dan
He had the Rams one. I thought there was one with the Giants, but I could be wrong, too. It might have just been a fractured ankle.
Adam
I think it was with the Browns in 2020.
Jamie
That makes sense.
Adam
Yeah, he played seven games that year. He was never really the same after that, I guess. All right. But yeah, he was 28. Okay, let's take a break. We got a lot more to get to, including the fantasy cops a little bit later. We'll be right back on Fantasy football today. What if sports were treated like markets? Jamie
I just got a text, by the way, from Jesse, who said he really loved playing doing now you see Me two with Michael Keaton.
Adam
Oh, the old British guy?
Jamie
Yeah. Who texted you this? My cousin.
Dan
He's watching the show.
Jamie
Yeah, he loved doing now you see me too, with Michael.
Dan
That's awesome.
Jamie
Yeah.
Adam
I don't believe Jamie. I think it was just.
Dan
No, he wasn't born, but.
Jamie
No, he wasn't born when he did his own movie. Now you see me too.
Dan
I'm so confused.
Adam
I don't know what you. What you were referring to when you said he wasn't born. Really kind of out of left field there. Me dad is completely off.
Dan
I'm just lost. Yeah, I'm just lost when we start talking.
Jamie
One of my favorite movies, honestly, is when in Mr. Mom. The. The way that he really hit that British accent.
Adam
You know, actually, I tried watching Mr. Mom last month, and I found it so boring, I could not.
Dan
I could not watch what's Mr. Mom?
Adam
An old Michael Keaton movie where he loses his job and becomes a stay at home mom's.
Dan
A mom.
Adam
Stay at home dad.
Dan
Okay, it's. Yeah, that doesn't sound like a great plot for a movie.
Adam
It's a. It's a classic, like, cheesy 80s movie. Anyway, question from Steve in New Jersey says, dear Joe John, Scar and Prince famous pizzerias in New York City.
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
Volume still king.
Dan
What was the other one? Prince Street Joe's. What was the other one?
Adam
Scar imprints. Is volume still king, or does having another weapon or player on the team actually increase fantasy production? Does T. Higgins make Jamar Chase better? Does George Pickens make CD Lamb better? DK Metcalf was double teamed all of 2025. Which one is it?
Dan
No, if I. First of all, I don't think there's any evidence, at least not that I've seen, that DK met was double teamed off 2025. But I'd have to look into that. I don't think that's how you play an Arthur Smith scheme usually. Rotating safety is down in the box. As far as the other guys go, I still think volume is key. CD Lamb was good last year. He wasn't CD Lamb of pass before Pickens.
Jamie
Right.
Dan
And then you can look at some of the splits of Chase with and without Higgins. And I think Chase wins in those splits without Higgins, if I'm not mistaken. Or at least he did heading into last year.
Adam
Yeah, he did heading into last year. Last year may have been a little bit different for him. Yeah, but, but no, I'm, I'm on the side of volume is king, Jamie.
Jamie
I'm on the side of volume is king for receivers because of what the pass volume is, not necessarily the volume for each individual receiver, which clearly matters. But I mean, you know, the, the examples where it works. Specifically last season, Cincinnati throws the ball a lot, Dallas throws the ball a lot, you know, so if you're looking at it for this year, if Denver is going to throw the ball 613 times again, then that should be good for Cortland Sutton and Jalen Waddle in theory. But as we saw, just because they threw the ball 613 times, there was one receiver over 120 targets and one barely over 100 targets. So do they spread the ball around too much? You know, so that's where the, the secondary volume, I guess comes into play for each, you know, the top guys, you know, so I, I think it comes down to, you know, you want to have like if, if DK Metcalf was on a more high volume pass attempt team, he would have been probably really good. You know, just because even though if he was potentially double teamed, you're still getting a lot of targets and a lot of volume in his direction. So I mean there's lots of different ways to look at it. Obviously JSN was great as a solo act for the most part. You know, if you want to discount what Cooper cup and Tori Horton slash Rashid, he did, you know, as, as the second and third options there with the tight ends. Also, you know, conversely, the Rams, you know, Devonte Adams was, was successful because of his touchdown production, not necessarily his other metrics, while Puka was just, you know, soaking up targets and being fantastic. So I, I think it comes down to each individual team. You know, if you want to get second receivers on, on, on teams, for example, you're going to look for the, the teams are going to throw the ball quite a bit versus you know, just settling for guys that are not going to necessarily get a lot of volume.
Adam
Jamar Chase played two games without T. Higgins last year he had 14 targets and 16 targets in those two games. Yeah, they're both against Baltimore. For his career, he actually averages.
Jamie
That's probably what, 12 and 10 with Higgins there. Like, what was he averaging 10 targets
Adam
per game without those two games with Higgins? Right, without those two games. I mean. Yeah, probably some. I mean, a 23 target game in week seven, 19 the week after that with Flacco. Yeah, probably. Probably about 10.
Jamie
Yeah.
Adam
If not a little more. He's actually averaged more yards per target with Higgins on the field in his career. Not by much, but significantly more yards per route run with him off. With Higgins off the field. Which tells me his target rate goes way up with Higgins off the field. All right, here's a question from Spencer says, good morning, idiot, dumbass, bumbling and belt.
Dan
You can say that these days.
Adam
All things. Adam has called and then immediately regretted calling his co workers.
Dan
That's so true.
Jamie
So true.
Dan
If you guys only heard the stuff. He calls us after we're done recording. We're in that little studio area. You should. You'd have no idea.
Jamie
But idiot is one of the best setups we've ever done.
Adam
I remember it. That's why I called Heath an idiot.
Jamie
Yeah, it's when you and Heath were arguing over a transaction you made in the team that you share. And then I convinced Heath to drop that player. We were. We were together in the same place, and you wherever we were recording and you were remote and you lost your mind because he dropped the player. Belly is the worst one.
Adam
Belly? Oh, that's bad question.
Dan
I love when you get heated and you just start throwing out idiot and those types of words. I don't even want to say the other one. It's too mean.
Adam
I don't know what you're talking about. I'm in a league with a very unusual scoring system. A lot of it gets too complicated for me to put in an email, but for the sake of this question, it's close enough to call it non ppr. With yards worth only half as much as they are in standard. So touchdowns are easily the most important stat this year. Who is this year's Tyler Algier or
Dan
Zach Charbonnet, the touchdown vulture?
Jamie
Yeah, I mean, Tyler Algeria might be. The Tyler Alger is. Is an obvious one. You know, if he gets that opportunity in Detroit that David Montgomery scored 33 touchdowns the last three seasons.
Dan
Chris Rodriguez Montgomery of last season, though, eight. Yeah, I guess it's still up there
Jamie
for where you're getting. I mean, he won 127th in the draft. We just did in that PPR.
Dan
So I just figured overall I hear you. I just feel like last year like Lions finally did commit to using Gibbs in the red zone. They're like oh wait a second. This is a much better idea.
Jamie
Oh I'm. I'm not disagreeing with you pass game.
Dan
Yeah but.
Adam
But Montgomery actually had a lot more carries inside the three yard line than Gibbs overall.
Dan
Yeah. Still. But not compared to the two season before that I would assume. Is that correct? Adam? Take a look at that.
Adam
No, I. I know it. 2023 was like Montgomery. 2024 was kind of even 2025.
Jamie
It was more so Montgomery touchdown vulture. So just specifically guys that aren't going to get a lot of work but get touchdown opportunities.
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
And then he said he also which star players could be hurt by that. So I think. I think Chris Rodriguez could have the goal line work. I. I mean I think it's possible.
Dan
Could it be D.O.P. i mean Dobbins might just be the starter so I don't know if that's a good call. Casey, Is anybody in a vulture from Walker? Probably not. Well no. Hampton's gonna keep that. I'm just working through this.
Jamie
Maybe Jordan.
Dan
Maybe Jordan Mason. Yeah. It's not. It doesn't seem like there's that many situations. Who's the guy who was again work for the jets in the year? Is he going to take it away from Breeze at the goal line?
Jamie
Isaiah Davis?
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
No. But Braylon Allen would be.
Dan
Braylon Allen might be back. Yeah. Yeah you could. You can't probably nothing in New England. Unless it's. Unless you consider Ramandre. But I don't really consider Ramandre to be a vulture. He's a big part of that offense.
Jamie
Yeah.
Adam
So Kyle Manangai and Blake Corum were basically splitting goal line duties with the two guys that we like better than
Dan
them which we knew anyway. Yeah. I don't think they're there any cultures. No doubt. All I think should start.
Jamie
I think that'll is kind of the same as like Ramandre. Like he's going to be a big part of the offense.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
So I mentioned Sean Tucker. That could be a good one if we get annoying Bucky. But I don't even think Sean Tucker's
Jamie
not signed right now.
Dan
Yeah. He didn't resign. They didn't pick up his tender.
Jamie
Whoever is the complimentary guy to Emmanuel Wilson. So it could be Holani until Charlotte's back.
Dan
Interesting. Yeah. Or vice versa situation until. Until Charbonnet Returns.
Jamie
Yeah. If any may not return this season, who knows?
Adam
Okay. I think that's satisfies that question.
Dan
Don't say that, Mr. Nevilles. Please don't put that into the ether.
Adam
What'd he say?
Dan
He said Jeremiah Love for Scatter Boo.
Adam
No, I. I was thinking that if the Giants did draft Love that maybe
Dan
if me with that, please. Enough. I understand. We lived through this Nightmare already in 2018. We want to go back to back with this thing and try to do it again. It's like I feel like I'm. I'm in the arrested development meme. You know, the arrest of development meme.
Adam
No, no.
Dan
Did either of you watch rest of development or is this just.
Adam
Yeah, don't do.
Dan
Yes, you did or not.
Adam
Yeah, don't, don't. Don't arrest the development me. What's the meme?
Dan
The meme is when it's like. It's when Tobias and Lindsay are talking about trying to get back together.
Jamie
It's never worked before.
Dan
Has it worked for anyone else before in the past? No.
Jamie
So it's like that again.
Adam
But it might us.
Dan
Yeah, but it might work for us. So it's like Saquon bark that we're going to go back to Jeremiah Love without realizing this is all about the offensive line.
Adam
I. I think Jeremiah Love could actually work for the Giants. I think they have a much more complete offense than they did when they drafted.
Dan
Everyone thinks it could work. It's so easy to think a running back can work. It's the easiest thing in the world to think a running back can work. I get it. He's explosive. It's fun to think about. It's fun on paper. But then you think about it more than that. You're like, wait a second. Saquon Barkley was voted the number one player by his NFL peers in 2024. All of a sudden with a battle line in 2025, he could barely average four years.
Adam
But you think the Giants have a bad.
Dan
I wonder why.
Adam
I don't think they have a bad offensive line.
Dan
But they were injured.
Adam
No, I don't think the Giants have a bad offensive line. I think.
Dan
No, but it's not a. It's a pass blocking line. It's not a run blocking line.
Adam
Okay. This is from Ben. Subject is Adam sucks. He says, JK Adam doesn't suck. I know Dan and Jamie were salivating at the title. Cause they love a good hate Adam email. I can only keep two.
Jamie
We know that Adam will never read a hate Adam email. So we know what the stick is
Adam
I could only keep two of these three. Burden in the 12th, Tutin in the 12th or Abuka in the 7th. I can keep players more than I can, I can keep players more than one year and there's a one round penalty every year. So two or three burden in the 12th, Tutin in the 12th, Abuka in the 7th.
Dan
Did we mention at all the it's a PPR?
Adam
No. I don't know.
Dan
Okay, don't love that. But burden seems like the, the clear one for me. I guess some people might say book over him, but burden, round 12 seems like better value. So I would just go Burden and Igbuga. Agree.
Adam
Okay, from Justin, what is the commander's wide receiver plan? Is there any value to these wide receivers other than Terry McLaurin? And is my two year Luke McCaffrey hype train starting to get some steam or is it still in the station until the draft?
Jamie
I mean they, they bring back Diamond Brown. So there's their like, you know, veteran stopgap who will never really matter for fantasy but will catch a couple touchdowns and be an annoying probably option to what McCaffrey or Jalen Lane could be. You know, they have, you know, a couple of young receivers that I'm sure they need to develop, but it feels like they're not done. So there's probably gonna be something in the draft that's added to this roster. And then, you know, the other part of this is they just spent on Chigo Conquo and we know that at times he's looked like a pretty decent pass catching tight end. So I would hope he's second on the team in targets right now for talking about just pass catchers. So for me it would be McLaurin and then if you want to take a late round flyer on Okonkwa as a second tenant.
Adam
Okay, we've got a question.
Dan
Gamer Eric is correct, by the way. About what you did make a whole kick up a whole big stink about not, you know, doing keeper questions.
Adam
Right. And I have some keeper questions.
Dan
I read one, but I said you're gonna stick to none.
Adam
This is, I don't think I said, I don't think I said that. I don't think I ever said that.
Dan
We'll go back on the tape. We'll go back on the tape and take a look. I'll talk to Thomas.
Adam
Here's one from JD and this was in support of me. He says my four year old. Is it the afternoon me, it's 11:46. No, it's 11:47, my four year old. Well, I call this the afternoon. And JD says maybe this is one of those cases where it's only the youngest and least inhibited of us who will point out what we all know to be true. Either way, I thought Adam should know he's not alone.
Jamie
Or Adam shares a brain with a four year old.
Adam
Yeah, well, yeah, I. I mean I'm not disagreeing.
Dan
I mean, isn't it. This cut is dry. It's just afternoon is 1201. It's after noon.
Adam
I'm not sure if I've made this argument with you, Dan. I'm really curious.
Dan
I don't think I have, but I
Jamie
know this is a big thing I've overheard.
Adam
What If I say 12:30am do you consider that the morning.
Dan
Good point. That is the night.
Adam
It's. It's not only a good point, it is the concluding.
Dan
Nobody calls the night or the morning like after midnight.
Adam
You know, you don't hear 12:30 in the morning, but you know it's not morning.
Dan
But nobody said there's a whole thing. There's a word for afternoon. It's called afternoon.
Adam
But the phrase in the morning, you say it. If I said 12:30am Oh, 12:30 in the morning. You were up till 12:30 in the morning. That phrase that has been uttered millions of times. That's true across the history of this world. And no one thinks that's the morning. Otherwise you wouldn't be outraged by someone being up at 12:30 in the morning. I win this argument. I just.
Jamie
It is like you don't win the argument after noon.
Dan
You're make. I feel like. Yeah, I don't. You're making a great point but I'm not so sure that that specific point wins you the argument. It wins you something else. No, it's not.
Adam
I don't know how related semantics of something being the. The afternoon and after noon, after 12pm are different after new.
Dan
I don't hate that. Thank you.
Adam
Thank you, Dan. I knew it. I knew it. You know, as crazy as you are, I knew I could count on you for this.
Dan
You changed it. You changed it that it is true. Like the afternoon and afternoon do have some differences there.
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
Just so we're clear, you're. You're taking a W because a 4 year old and Dan agree with you 100.
Dan
Not the guys you want on your
Jamie
side here for these.
Adam
That's like a 40 year old combined. I don't know how old Dan is but.
Jamie
And if we played and if we had a movie. Dan will be played by Michael Keaton,
Dan
the young Michael Keaton, not the one in Batman.
Adam
All right, we're going to take a break.
Jamie
I don't think Dan realizes they're both in Batman.
Dan
I meant not the one playing Alfred.
Adam
They're in different Batmans though, just so you know. Okay, we'll be right back on Fantasy Football today.
Jamie

Jamie
What is your favorite Batman movie?
Adam
Adam the answer to that has changed. It used to be it's all the Christopher Nolan ones. The other ones are pretty much there's not a good one in the same used to Be the third one, the Dark Knight Rises. Because when I saw it in theaters, it was so fun. It was this.
Jamie
In multiple theaters.
Adam
What's that? In the movie theater, it was just exhilarating. I didn't want it to end. But the more I've watched that movie, it's. It's got. It's really some pretty weak stuff in there. I still like it. So I will say the original, the first Christopher Nolan one. Batman Begins is my favorite. How about you?
Dan
I'll say the second.
Adam
Second.
Jamie
My favorite is Batman versus Superman for obvious reasons.
Adam
Oh, I never saw that actually.
Dan
What are the obvious reasons Jesse's in that one. Oh, that is very obvious, if I had any idea.
Jamie
But the best Christopher Nolan one is obviously the Dark Knight.
Dan
Yeah, I never saw the Batman versus Superman. Is Jesse playing. Well, who's Jesse playing in that?
Jamie
Lex Luthor.
Dan
Wow. I gotta see that movie.
Adam
I think my issue, my only issue
Dan
with roles that are totally not Lex Luthor roles. I got. I'm. Now I'm intrigued by this.
Adam
Yeah, I know. My issue with the Dark Knight is I feel like it's a little too long and they ram the two face stuff in there where it just doesn't need to.
Jamie
It.
Adam
It's like they had to get two face in there and the whole two face thing at the end, it just. It does nothing for the movie and it makes the movie about 40 minutes too long.
Dan
Interesting.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
Okay. You could say that as someone's probably seen it a lot. I've seen it like once or twice.
Adam
Oh, really? Oh, see it again. It's awesome.
Dan
I don't rewatch movies.
Jamie
I mean, the opening scene of Dark Knight is one of the best opening scenes in movies.
Dan
It is. Yeah. The bank scene, that is unreal.
Adam
Yeah, it's a good one. The opening scene of the new Naked Gun movie, bank scene is also very good. I recommend. Okay, time for some tweets. This is from Poppy Champu. What's the best draft strategy for ppr? Running back, receiver. Running back, receiver, quarterback. You know what, Jamie, position wise, we've done enough of these now. What do you think the best strategy is?
Jamie
How many receivers do you start?
Adam
Well, why don't you give me two or three?
Jamie
I mean I. My favorite strategy is. Is hero, rb. Just because I think you come away with quality starting wide receivers, especially with the receiver league. And if there is a spot that I want to take chances with, really not have necessarily invest a lot of stock in, it's. It's RB2. Just because I think that's the most movement you probably see throughout the course of the season along with the third receiver probably in a three receiver league. But I just prefer hero rb. It's the strategy that I've had the most success with over the years and it just, it's, it's an easy one to play out. Especially you know, as we were discussing on the mock draft review, like if you have an early pick in round one and you can either get one of those top tier running backs or what we see at the end of round two, you know. So Dan just referenced Genti is probably going to be in that range. Adam got Chase Brown in that range. Ken Walker I think will be in that range. You know, so some very high end running back. So you come away with Puka and Chase Brown. Adam did Jamar Chase and Chase Brown. That could be Omarion Hampton. I took Hampton probably a little bit too soon in that draft. So Hampton will probably be in that range. You know, so there's a lot of good running backs that to me have top five upside and you compare it with one of those top receivers.
Adam
Okay, next tweet is from Kevin. Who would you choose if you could send one player to any team in order to unlock the full fantasy potential of a wide receiver by improving their situation? Oh, A.J. brown to. Yeah, I think the Patriots will be fine. They're. They're still pretty run heavy team. Maybe we can do better than that.
Jamie
Are we keeping the same personnel on the team we're sending that player to?
Adam
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jamie
So then I would say Zay Flowers to the Bills.
Dan
Wow. I mean I do like the fit. Schematically. I just wouldn't. I think you would have gone there. I like it's interesting. What about. We're talking real. We're not talking realistic. We're just talking you can do anything you want.
Jamie
Yeah, right.
Dan
Okay. How about give me, you know, I think actually be a great fit. George Pickens to the Bills. I love that fit of Allen's skill set with George Pickens. Actually if I could trade, I would trade Devonte Adams for George Pickens. I would love to see Matthew Stafford with George Pickens.
Jamie
So that, that's why I was thinking like could we like swap players?
Adam
No, no, you can't. It's a very strict rule here.
Dan
Also, one thing I want to add for PPR formats. I forgot that I missed is I do think it is a race too and you should be looking to fill your flex with a receiver in PPR formats.
Jamie
Yeah.
Adam
Okay. Yeah. I mean I would like to agree with that, but I just hope receiver isn't as bad as the fever stings.
Dan
Yeah, it's tough.
Adam
No, the receiver doesn't necessarily stink. It stunk last year. We have had years like that where there was a one year like where running wasn't great.
Dan
The year before though, it was much better. Better than that. It was a total bottoming out, but it was already trending.
Adam
Running back was so bad. It was like 2016 or something. Devonte Freeman was like the number.
Dan
Of course that's when we started the 0 RB.
Adam
But. But my point is that it bounces back. It bounces back.
Jamie
Well, Thomas, do you have the, the draft board available? Like can you put that up from the other day?
Dan
I don't see like any signs of it bouncing back though with the trend
Adam
of like where the NFL wouldn't necessarily see it, it just would.
Dan
Yeah, A.J.
Adam
brown would have a better year and you know, I think we just need
Dan
like teams to figure out how to throw the ball again.
Jamie
So like if, if we're looking at this, I'm trying. I thought there was a team that stood out. To me, maybe it was third receivers. So like if you look at RJ's team, for example, at pick 12, so RJ has his, his flex will essentially be DK Metcalf. So his starting lineup will be Jackson Dart, James Cook, DeAndre Swift, Justin Jefferson, Ladd McConkey, Luther Burden,
Adam
Tyler Warren.
Jamie
Tyler Warren. And then he came back up as his flex. Like to me, that's a pretty good lineup right there.
Adam
Yeah, it's good. Look at my team because my team, I have four, I have three running backs with my first four picks. So my running, my flex is going to be Bucky Irving. My receivers aren't all that good, but I still.
Jamie
Right, so you, you prioritize running back over receiver and you're starting devonte Smith as your second receiver and Brian. Yeah, that's not great.
Adam
Well, listen, you could say that. That's true. But I do have Chase Brown, Josh Jacobs and Bucky Irving. I was not prioritizing running back per se, but it just fell that way where I took the best player available. Like I said, I took Jamar Chase in round one, Chase Brown in round two. And I'm going, ooh, I could have fun and take T. Higgins and go Bengals stack here, but I wasn't going to take T. Higgins over Josh Jacobs. So I have Jamar Chase, Chase Brown and Josh Jacobs. In my opinion, potentially three first round caliber players. Bucky Irving as my flex. It Was either Bucky Irving or. Or Roma Dumze, Jameson Williams, Terry McLaurin, Devonte Smith. I think Bucky Irving was a much better.
Jamie
Yeah, Bucky Irving is a better. And. And Dan talks about this a lot, which I think a lot of people overlook. Like we kind of look at the flex position like as the stepchild. Like they score as same amount of points as your third receiver. Second. You know, it counts the same.
Adam
Exactly.
Dan
Right.
Jamie
You know, the, the value is not necessarily different. So I guess I should take that back. But it's just, I don't. I don't love. I don't love not having two good wide receivers like you have. One with potential of two, potential of three, potential four. But it's a lot of Fs.
Adam
Yeah, right. I have Chase, Devonte Smith, Brian Thomas.
Jamie
Sutton really saved your receiving core, in my opinion. Maybe you got.
Adam
Yeah, it's not great. It's not great. But hopefully I make up for it by having great running backs. All right, next question is from A.J. johnson. Art, where are we going to draft whichever rookie wide receiver ends up in Miami? What if it's someone like Conception or Boston or Cooper, that tier in round one? Dan, you probably farther ahead on the wide receiver. The rookie wide receiver has been frozen
Jamie
for like 10 minutes.
Adam
We are. Yeah. But he can hear us. Right?
Dan
I froze for some reason. I don't know why I keep freezing.
Jamie
It's.
Dan
It's getting annoying with this. I gotta fix my thing. I don't know what the issue is. It only happens on this podcast. But that's neither here nor there. Those are anxieties for another moment, but what was the question again?
Adam
Yeah, how do you feel about the conceptions, the rookie wide receivers of the world, if they went to Miami, which now has Denver's first round pick and they were the lead wide receiver there.
Dan
So you're asking specifically about Casey Concepcion or.
Adam
No, a rookie. If a rookie wide receiver went to Miami, how would you value that guy?
Dan
Okay. Okay. I mean, we have such a small sample size to work with Willis, but it does look like he, at least in a lot of ways, progressed as a thrower. The football from processing to getting the ball out on time, the accuracy, like all the actual tools, I never thought. I always thought were there. I liked him out of Liberty, but it just felt like he was overwhelmed from a processing standpoint. At Tennessee, in Tennessee. And then it's like sometimes they just never get out of that. They never have a chance. So I don't want to rule him out. I do have some concerns though, with Miami, just the entire structure, where that team is headed, what they're going to be attempting to do on the offensive side of the ball. I do think it'll be probably run heavy, at least to start. So Miami's probably not my favorite fit for these. These receivers.
Adam
If that's the question, I want to share a tweet. Have you had Ryan Heath on Beyond the Box Score? I know he goes.
Dan
We did have Brian Heath on.
Adam
Yeah, he had an interesting tweet. If I could just give me one minute here. So Brian Heath said is he said hello. I'm sure when you add him on he said hello, right?
Dan
He did say hello.
Adam
Okay, I've got it queued up now. He said the back end of round one of the NFL draft is where wide receivers lacking elite analytical profiles go to ruin dreams and get people fired. So he basically said that There have been eight wide receivers since 2017 that have been selected between picks 15 and 32 with a 90th percentile or better production score in my model JSN, Marquis Brown, CD Lamb, Rashad Bateman, Jerry Judy Trailin Burks, Emeka Buca, Justin Jefferson. It's a pretty good group overall. But what about the guys drafted between picks 15 and 32 with below a 90 90th% production percent 90th percentile production score? Jordan Addison, Nikhil Harry, Calvin Ridley, Jahan Dotson, Xavier Worthy, DJ Moore, Quentin Johnston, Brandon Aiuk, Xavier Legate Zay, Flowers Kadarius Tony Jalen rager, Brian Thomas Jr. Ricky Pearsall, Michael Matthew Golden. His point is if you're in, if you haven't been that productive in college and you get drafted in the second half of the first round, there's a lot of busts on this list.
Dan
Makes sense.
Adam
He mentions Denzel Boston, Casey Concepcion, Omar Cooper are all projected to be drafted in that range and they're all below that good production, you know, percentile.
Dan
It's interesting.
Adam
Yeah.
Dan
Because you could easily go back and like just I tested and and get really excited about Concepcion. There's a lot of reps I've seen where he's won, clearly. And his quarterback play stinks. And I feel with, with Cooper that's a different story. I don't really. He's been. I haven't watched enough Cooper. I want to get into that tape because people are just steaming him up boards and then boss Boston's just kind of a player where I could totally see him being a bus based on his profile. Like big long limb player, maybe not I'm not saying he will be. I haven't watched him extensively. I guess the idea here is Adam from Ryan. It's like usually at the end of round one, the players who get steamed up are the players who break out at the combine.
Jamie
Right?
Dan
Like they're, wow, this guy was 6 foot 4 and he ran a 4, 3. I can do something with those tools. So it makes sense that, like, more times than not you can't. Though I would imagine, and I could be wrong about this, that some of the best hits have actually also come from that range.
Adam
Well, he showed some, like CD Lamb and Justin Jefferson, but those guys were very productive in college.
Dan
True. Those guys were productive. Everyone be examples. Yeah, I don't know.
Adam
All right, Jamie, I'm gonna give you this one from a trendy nightclub. Jalen Warren, stock up down or push with Rico Dowdle. Also, I picked up Luke Weaver in homage to Adam at the end of a Frank Stamp full mock draft. Can we get a lo. There you go, buddy. All right. Jalen Warren, stock up down to the same. With the addition of Rico Dowdle down.
Jamie
I mean, you know, McCarthy going there, bringing in a guy that he's very fond of isn't going to help the situation. And the. The only way I think you could say stock up would be is if he sort of shifts back into not solely a pass catching role, but more of the pass catching role. And that's kind of what he was doing when he was in tandem with Naji Harris. And so he has that potential. And if he takes clearly different offense and we don't know the quarterback is, but if he takes sort of the Kenneth Gainwell role and you know, knowing that they added Michael Pittman, so that changes the receiving core and obviously changing the coach in the scheme. But if he could be close to a 50 catch guy or at least a 45 plus catch guy and still maintain like a 6040 split where he's in the bottom half of that but still getting enough carries like he can still be good. I would still draft him over Dowdle as of today. We'll see what happens once everything is done with the draft and we get to, you know, camp. But they're basically back to back in my rankings. I don't really have a favorite right now between the two.
Adam
All right, we're going to do our Apple podcast questions and then we're going to do some fantasy cops to end the show. Oh, Alan from Boston on Apple podcast says, just checking that someone did a wellness check on Azer after his Beloved luxurious need was released by the Titans. I did see that I am doing okay, but I do thank you for asking.
Dan
Once he comes to the Giants once, right? Yeah.
Adam
Why not take a shot on it? This is from D. Thrills. It's a dart Azer stat says Jackson Dart interestingly would have averaged more points per game than Josh Allen if we omitted the first three weeks and week 16. So we the first three weeks we do omit because he, you know, barely played. He came in for a few running plays. Week 16 was the Vikings game.
Dan
Yeah.
Adam
Where he threw 13 passes for like 33 yards and scored 0.02 fantasy points. We can't omit that one. I'm sorry, we have to leave that in. Also I think you probably didn't remove week 17 for Josh Allen. Week 18 for Josh Allen where he barely played. So if you did do what what our apple podcaster D. Thrills is suggesting and you took Jackson darts points per game and remove the Minnesota game. He obviously removed the first three weeks but just his starts and remove the Minnesota game. He averaged over 24 fantasy points per game. He would have been number two or three per game depending on what you do with Josh Allen. But unfortunately you do have to keep that zero in there. I did want to talk about dart Jamie because you know this is like kind of looking up the injury history thing we did earlier in the show. If you look up second year quarterbacks, I think you could think of Stroud and Richardson and Bo Nix and kind of shy away from it. But Jaden Daniels. Yeah, but Caleb was better. Not that he was great. Drake May was obviously phenomenal and so was just Justin Herbert had an amazing rookie year and he was even better his second year. Joe Burrow had a very good rookie year and he had a great second year. So there are examples on coming off an ACL terror. Yes, he was right. And he only rushed for like 170 yards Joe Burrow that year and he still averaged over 23 ppr, 23 points per game and 6 point per passing touchdown leagues. It was terrific. So yeah, I think there's. It could go either way. How you feeling about Jackson Dart?
Jamie
Very excited. I mean, you know again they add at least one receiver, they add a tight end. You know you get neighbors back. Everything that you know this, this question suggests is without Malik Neighbors too because that's the game where where neighbors got hurt was the first start that dart made. So you know you're giving him three awesome options collectively and you're giving him a much Better head coach. So, you know, I, I think just from an overall team perspective, they should have an opportunity to score more points. But anytime you get these guys that look like they can continue to ascend as passers, have the running potential, like he's shown, like that's the perfect formula for fantasy. So I think what we're going to end up seeing is four in whatever order quarterbacks come off the board first. That's going to be Allen, Jackson, burrow, and May 5 through 8 or 9, 5 through 10, let's just say can probably go in a, in a variety of different directions. I have currently Herbert 5th Just because I'm very excited about Mike McDaniel being the coach there and the tackles being back. Dart is six for me. Jalen Hurts is right there and Caleb Williams is right there.
Adam
Isn't there for you?
Jamie
I'm sorry. You know, so that's the next five, you know, so all, all of those guys, you know, depending on how you want to tier them and, and what tier you want to jump into, like, I'm perfectly fine. Now. Our drafts go a little different. Like I took Lamar Jackson, I think it was like around 5, around 6 on, on Wednesday. That's just a little, you know, different strategy for me overall. But like that's the group that I want to be in is kind of five through 10. Just because I think there's so much upside, so much potential. Gamer Eric says, you know we're sleeping on Matthew Stafford. Yes, you got Stafford and Dak, you know, two guys that, you know should be awesome as well. If Stafford, you know, can, can build off his MVP season, which I don't see why not. And then you have, you know, Dak with those two weapons and what he showed last year. You know, the problem for Dak is just hasn't had consecutive seasons in a long time of, of great production, mostly due to injuries. But I think just looking at this, that group of quarterbacks, like that's where I want to live on draft day is just, you know, getting one of
Dan
those guys and just hearing all that. I mean, Johnny Airport names. The player that I'm most excited about, we didn't even name, which is Herbert. I cannot wait to draft Herbert.
Adam
We did name him. Jamie has him fifth.
Dan
Oh, my bad. Yeah, there's a lot of names there. I heard Dart and my mind just shot. Yeah.
Adam
All right, so Dart was. Overall, he was 17th per game. But from weeks four through 18 when he became the starter, he was QB 9 per game and 6 point per passing touchdown leagues QB 8 per game and 4 point per passing touchdown leagues. But he was, he felt better than that. Jackson Dart, in seven of his 12 starts he scored 24 or more fantasy points. Wow, that's amazing.
Dan
He just, a lot of rushing TDs though.
Adam
Oh yeah, and a lot of rushes. He was on pace for 119 carries.
Dan
That's, yeah, that'll come down. I don't, the TDs I assume will also come down from a rushing standpoint, I think.
Jamie
But again he did that with, you know, Wandell Robinson. That's the top guy, you know. So now you're getting him, you're giving him all these options. Yeah, and, and the nice thing is is that Harbaugh has dealt with a running quarterback and had success with a running quarterback, you know, so I don't know if we're gonna get the, like I, I, I, I can recall, you know, three, four years in a row of Sean McDermott being asked about Josh Allen running less, running less. And he was like, you know, by, by like year two or three at the owners means he's like, I don't know what to tell you guys. It's the same question. I can't change is what it is, you know. So Jackson Dart obviously is going to get unfortunately probably dinged up. Hopefully it's not anything serious and you know, we're going to get the questions of should he run less and is it a danger to his long term health and all these things. And you know, I thought he was a little bit better running the ball after the multiple concussions and yeah, being smarter about it. And that's something that'll be probably questioned a lot this off season and in camp.
Dan
True.
Adam
I just want to say I, I don't really think we should necessarily be talking about John Harbaugh. I think, I think he actually may have a coaching downgrade this year. Going from Brian Dable to Matt Nagy.
Dan
That's my biggest concern if you ask me. One concern with Dart for fantasy it is 100 losing Dable and Kafka.
Jamie
Well, I, I, I, I think there's, there's certainly validity to that. But you're, you're getting a better team. You're going to get more, more scoring opportunities, you know, as a team.
Dan
Sure you should.
Adam
I wonder how people will feel if they draft Jeremiah Love because I, the indications to me feel like the Giants want to be a run heavy team, you know, so we'll see.
Dan
Let's, I don't think we're drafting them. What'd you Say, I don't think they're drafting love. I think it's smoke.
Adam
Well, I hope they do. Just, I would like a live look in at Dan when that happens. It would be good, content, you know.
Jamie
Exactly.
Dan
It's your team too.
Jamie
I'm gonna be pissed at first and he's gonna be like. Then he'll wrap his head around it and he'll, you know, be excited about it because he loves his Giants. Is true.
Dan
I don't that one, though. I don't know. Like, I never wrapped my head around the Saquon Barkley pick at any point. Even during his rookie season when he was rookie of the year. I never rap. And that's the crazy part. Like, they won five games and he put up 2, 000 yards just to show how like meaningless his contribution was.
Jamie
No offense to him. Like, just because you brought this up, let's. Let's just say we, we see the Giants. I'm going to take you out of it because you're. You're too much of invested in it. And Adam really never really been a true Giants fan. So if you, if you were to say the Giants, everybody in the offensive line stays healthy.
Dan
Okay.
Jamie
Right now they, they have one of these magical years. Everybody stays healthy, neighbors bounces back to the guy that he is capable of being. Mooney is the guy that you, you know, the picture you painted the other day likely takes that step forward. So everything works, right. And now you. You put superstar running back on that team.
Dan
You like it, but in what sense of the word?
Adam
Like.
Dan
Like, do I like it in the moment? Sure. Is it good on paper? Sure. Is it electric at times when love breaks one long like Barkley did at times? Sure. Is it good long term for the Giants roster building? Of course not. And they don't really currently have the same O line anyway.
Jamie
They don't.
Dan
They haven't resigned their starting right guard, so they have no current. Currently have no one at right guard. So in addition to no plan beyond what they have on the roster on the offensive line in addition to not having a second line, but they have so many other needs and it's like, wait a second. Did I also forget to mention Cam Scatterboo was really freaking good on tape and was the only back outside of Ashton Genti in the last 10 years to force Andre miss plus tackles or more in a season at the college level. And he will, like maybe if he. If they think he's done or something. I can, I guess entertain this type of idea. But no, you can find Cat, Scatter, Boo and Tracy in day three of the drafts. Like this is running back we're talking about. We're not talking about a position that dries out in the NFL draft. It's just we're all talking about a position that's so dependent on the blocking in the scheme. What do we just watch in Jacksonville and Chicago last year? Is DeAndre Swift now one of the best two runners in the NFL? Is Kyle Manunga seventh round pick, an all star. Is you know what Travis Etn an amazing player or were they scheming up great run run blocking and were they scheme of great design? That's one and two in the run game. So I just other positions to me Jamie, you can like linebacker is really impactful across the board.
Jamie
Oh, listen, I'm with you. I wouldn't take love at 5 at all. I'm just like they feel like they're putting the right pieces in place right now and if, if they feel like. Listen, Harbaugh obviously is invested in multiple years. He's also, I'm sure would love a ring and maybe run out this contract and be done, you know.
Dan
Sure.
Jamie
So. And obviously, you know, Shine needs to have a big season as well.
Dan
He's done anyway. He's like a background guy now. He's like scouting and helping with the draft. I feel like he did nothing this free agency.
Adam
Yeah. Well, that concludes your Giants talk for today.
Dan
Sorry, got me heated up. I. I mean look, I'll accept that it is what it is, but like I can't believe we might be doing running back again in the top five.
Adam
You have to call the fantasy cops if the Giants do that. All right, we got a fantasy cops from no name. I was offering a dynasty trade to another manager. In the trade I would send Jordan Addison, Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry for the 2026 105, Ashton Genti and Tajie Spears. I tagged the manager in the league chat to let them know a trade was offered because it was the off season. Again, the trade was Addison Barkley and Derrick Henry for the fifth pick in the draft, Ashton Genti and Taje Spears. One of the other managers made a comment and the manager I made the offer to said he was considering a trade from me. Multiple other managers said they would evaluate the trade for him in the league chat and then broke down the trade, tearing apart Henry and Saquon for their age and Addison for his quarterback. Two other offers I had made involving the same players were in negotiations and both were rejected. Immediately after as no one else in the league wanted to look foolish in front of the other two guys who tore up my players killing their fantasy trade value in the league.
Dan
This is the worst league ever.
Adam
I won last year. So it's clear the guys in the chat were afraid my team could improve more. I know the guys who posted the trade offer is a moron for doing it, but if people are asking for trades posted in the chat and messing with player values, does this get close to collusion?
Dan
Collusion might not be the right word, but. But bad practice, sure. Like you don't want to be. It's not fun. It's not fun to be in a league where every trade gets micromanaged by all 12 managers. That's not how the league's supposed to go. Like that takes to me. That takes all the fun out of fantasy. And I also don't even know if
Jamie
it's that horrific of a trade.
Dan
Like if you're trying to win now and you get Barkley and Henry, like you are giving up Genti. But like Addison's a decent ass. Like Addison for 105 in some classes can interchangeable depending on where you think that quarterbacks, regardless of the quarterback situation, Minnesota at its current time, like Addison's a good football player and has some fantasy appeal. So it's kind of to me just almost like genty for the two backs that are. That are win now players. It's not great. Like I'd obviously rather have the Genti side but like, let's have fun. Let's play fantasy.
Jamie
It's just, it's just poor etiquette.
Dan
Yeah.
Jamie
To, to have that stuff out in the open, you know, because clearly there's going to be people with agendas making those comments, you know, so like as he alluded to, you know, you're going to have people that, that don't want to see him have success again because he won. They're going to be people that don't want to see the other manager have success because they're getting to, you know, potentially three players that could help you win now. And yeah, it's just that, that, that just takes the, the joy out of trading. You know, you're not supposed to. It's not a public forum.
Adam
Yeah. Unfortunately, guys, we're the fantasy cops. We're not the etiquette cops here. You didn't. They didn't break any rules.
Jamie
Right. They didn't do anything wrong.
Adam
It's not collusion. They suck. They're losers. But sorry, that's probably A little harsh, but they didn't do anything wrong. So I think the fantasy cops have to let them slide on this one, unfortunately. All right, this is from Liam, who's loving the show from Australia. We have a dispute in our dynasty league. I'm the commissioner of result. We've always turned off waivers after the NFL playoffs to give the not so hardcore users a couple of months off before opening them the week after our rookie draft. I also believe this creates a little bit of hype and strategy around fab, which normally goes unused as our rosters are quite big. Anyway, I was too busy celebrating my championship and forgot to turn waivers off. I said I was going to do it and just never did. I know I need to do better. One savvy manager has since picked up Tyson Bagent, and no one has complained, but I reached out and said I would likely reverse it as I said I would close waivers. His argument is that I didn't. The league was rolled over and everyone had the same opportunity. Thoughts on how we solve this? Hopefully the fantasy cops can adjudicate.
Jamie
So the. The history of the league is to shut off waivers every year, which the commissioner has done, except for this particular season.
Adam
Yes. And I also think that he said. Right. He said.
Jamie
He said that he was going to and just forgot.
Adam
Yeah.
Jamie
So I think if the history suggests it and his message was prior to the transaction happening, then you reverse it. Now, if you do things like Adam does, where there's no documentation of it or no history of it, then
Adam
factually inaccurate, but yeah, I think we agree here. Reverse this move. Right?
Jamie
You have to.
Adam
Yeah, yeah, Dan, reverse it.
Dan
Yeah, reverse it. Of course, there's no. I don't think there's.
Adam
What would Missy Elliott say?
Dan
Would who?
Adam
Missy Elliott.
Jamie
That's right.
Adam
That's absolutely right. And that's it for our mailbag. Oh, guys, I forgot. I'm so excited.
Dan
For what?
Adam
My kids have a half day. They'll be home in about an hour, and they have no school tomorrow, so I get to have a full March Madness experience with my son.
Jamie
Oh, will he watch?
Adam
He'll watch everything, I think.
Dan
Is he old enough to be into it?
Adam
Yeah, he's seven. He's filled out two brackets.
Dan
Oh, that's perfect. That's perfect. So you're gonna go through it? You.
Adam
You.
Dan
Well, first of all, the number one thing you have to do. I hope you already did it. Is. I don't know if you have one in your house, but print out his brackets.
Adam
Yeah, I'm going to print it out. As soon as we're off the air
Dan
and then use the pencil and pick, cross out, give it the check. Like, do the whole fun part of that, like the printed brackets is its own experience.
Adam
Yeah, I'm really, I'm excited. Oh, you want me to print it out and then he'll fill one out?
Dan
No, you. Yeah, print out a bracket that he fills out with his bracket that he did.
Adam
I'll print out his filled out or
Jamie
print out his fill out bra.
Dan
Whichever one. And then you can go through it, give it a check, Give it an at like when. See what's happening.
Adam
This is really great. This is like great timing just that happened.
Dan
This is perfect. I'm excited for you that you get to experience that.
Adam
Yeah, man. All right, enjoy the tournament, everybody. Who's your. Who's your champion, guys?
Dan
For me it's Michigan repeat time, baby.
Jamie
Here we go.
Dan
That'd be cool.
Adam
I picked in in the FFT podcast league. I got a little while. I picked Houston over Arkansas. I am obsessed with Darius Acuff Jr guy is insane on Arkansas. So I took that finals. We got some amazing talent in the NCAA tournament. So if you're an NBA fan, you're looking forward to the draft.
Dan
It is really good. Yeah, this is going to be a great draft.
Adam
Such a good draft. Okay, go Houston though, and have a great weekend. We'll talk to you Monday on fantasy football.
