Is Fantasy Football Today From CBS Sports.
Dan Schneier
What a play.
Adam Azer
Can you believe this? No, I can't. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Off to the races and he stays at his feet. This is gonna go the distance.
Jamie Eisenberg
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
Adam Azer
It's mailbag time. Just found out something very new and neat about Dan Schneier. Welcome, everybody, to fantasy football today. Yeah. Yeah. You're not going to like it. Presented by bet, mgm, the sportsbook. Born in Vegas, Adam Azer, Jamie Eisenberg, Dan Schneier. We've got your week 15 questions and we have a lot of them. We also have a couple of news items to get to here. It's early, so we don't have a ton of practice reports, but Evan Ingram is out for the season. And as I mentioned to Dave just a few minutes ago on FFT Express, I will be singing People are Strange for the rest of the day to Brenton. Strange. You know that song, right? Dan, the Doors.
Dan Schneier
Should you be singing up the hill.
Adam Azer
Running up that hill. Why?
Dan Schneier
Stranger things.
Adam Azer
Bren Strange. 9.2 or more PPR fantasy points in three or four games without Ingram earlier this year. But I don't think people are going to trust him. But Ingram's out and Bucky Irving, I don't think he practiced today. Mike Evans was out there. Bucky Irving seems very questionable for today's game. So this weekend's game. Pardon me. All right. What's going on, man? How we doing? You all right?
Jamie Eisenberg
It's been a week of highs and week of lows for me. On about Monday night, I don't know what happened, but I caught some weird stomach bug and it's been brutal for three days. Somehow never got a fever but was just chills all the time, not holding anything down. I won't go into too many details regarding that.
Adam Azer
You already did. I mean, you already kind of did enough there.
Jamie Eisenberg
It could get worse. It could get worse. But that's the low. That's the low. I could get more detailed. I won't. The high is that my friend Rachel continues to barrel on. I'm wearing my Team Rachel shirt today on Survivor.
Adam Azer
All right.
Jamie Eisenberg
She made it to the finale episode. The final four next week.
Dan Schneier
Wow.
Jamie Eisenberg
A 1 in 4 chance at a million dollars and sole Survivor.
Dan Schneier
That's awesome. You know, it's funny, Debo Samuel was about to get the same stomach bug, but he dropped it.
Jamie Eisenberg
The perfect pass, too. And I had Purdy going in two leagues.
Adam Azer
You know, Jamie, for as long as I've known him, he's been very even keeled. Doesn't get too up or down based on how his fantasy matchups have gone. But yesterday, real or Thursday, for those of you listening on Saturday, really hit him hard. Really hit hard. Like a stomach bug. Like, like a drone flying over his town, if any.
Jamie Eisenberg
There's a lot I have on that that I won't get into.
Adam Azer
Aliens are coming against.
Jamie Eisenberg
I don't know if it's aliens, but weird stuff is going on for sure.
Adam Azer
All right, your emails@fantasy footballbsi.com I would love to ask all of you, if you wouldn't mind, to vote for us in the Sports Podcast Awards. I'm going to give you the Are.
Jamie Eisenberg
You up for best male host again?
Adam Azer
No, that was. That's Podcast Awards. This is Sports Podcast. Go to sports podcast group.com and click vote now. And then go to the fantasy betting and gaming category. I'm going to find it right now. Fantasy betting and gaming podcast. Yeah. And then vote for Fantasy football today. So it's sports podcast group.com and then click vote now and Fantasy betting and gaming is the category. And please vote for Fantasy football today. We'd really appreciate it. We won last year. Let's go back to back. Let's crush it. We need your help. It means a lot to us and we're going to help you win your league right now. Starting with this email from a. I don't have the name. Sorry about that. This probably, this person probably won't vote for us. Full PPR. We need to St. Brown, London Higgins, Brian Thomas Jr.
Dan Schneier
Higgins and St. Brown.
Jamie Eisenberg
I can't bench St. Brown, so we start with that. It comes down to Higgins and Brian Thomas. For me, if you believe in what Brian Thomas got last week from a target share standpoint, from a full out, just volume on three levels of the field and what they said this week which is I'm always open, get me the ball. They continue getting the ball. You can make a case for him. But I don't think I could bench T. Higgins in this spot. So I'm going to go with what Jamie said. It's close.
Adam Azer
Read this one incorrectly here. Which boy? This Matthew is his name. He's definitely not going to vote for us now. He said bench two and he had gave us those four receivers, St. Brown, London Higgins, Brian Thomas Jr. But then he also gave us three running backs, Charbonnet, James Cook and Brian Robinson. So now you have seven choices and you have to bench two full ppr. Yes.
Dan Schneier
Well, you're only benching too.
Adam Azer
Yeah, I guess so.
Jamie Eisenberg
This is a wild team.
Dan Schneier
Give me the receivers again, then. I'm sorry.
Adam Azer
Yeah. St. Brown, London Higgins, Brian Thomas, Jr. Charbonnet. James Cook, Brian Robinson.
Jamie Eisenberg
What a team.
Dan Schneier
Oh, boy. James Cook is one of the ones I'm benching.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, that we can do for sure. You can.
Adam Azer
And Charbonnev. Walker plays. But if Walker doesn't play, he probably won't London for me.
Dan Schneier
You'd bench London and start Brian Thomas?
Adam Azer
I'd start Thomas over London, yes.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I have a tough one with that. I. I probably would still sit. Brian Thomas start London. Listen, when you have great options, unfortunately, you're probably going to make a bad call.
Adam Azer
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
But it's not always unfortunate because they all could score.
Dan Schneier
They all can score, right?
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Azer
Yeah. All right, next up.
Dan Schneier
Or they could play the 49ers. Ramps.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Azer
From Christopher. Oh, actually, Matthew wants to know who we think is a better real life fantasy wide receiver and rest of season. Okay. Rest of season in fantasy and real life, who's a better receiver? Two separate questions. Tyreek Hill or Malik? Neighbors.
Dan Schneier
Better. Rest of season, real life wide receiver.
Adam Azer
Both.
Jamie Eisenberg
And fantasy. Fantasy is better.
Adam Azer
Rest of season in fantasy. And who's better in real life? Tyree Killer. Malik neighbors.
Dan Schneier
Tyreek in both. Look, Tyreek and both Malik may end up being better than. I mean, Tyreek's a borderline hall of Famer. Like, come on.
Adam Azer
Yeah, but. Right.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think that question was right now specifically to trap Adam and myself.
Adam Azer
And we will not fall for that.
Jamie Eisenberg
We will not fall for that. Trap this story.
Adam Azer
I still think Tyreek Hill looks really good if they were just throwing the ball downfield for once, but, man, when.
Dan Schneier
He said they both have Josh Allen, who would you rather have catching passes from him?
Adam Azer
Tyree Kill.
Dan Schneier
Yes. Yeah, I didn't want to say Mahomes because that's a little fair. Unfair to Malik.
Adam Azer
Oh, yeah, sure. Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
Chiefs fans, you're saying no because they got.
Adam Azer
He's got the chemistry with Tyreek.
Jamie Eisenberg
Okay. I thought he was gonna say, oh, poor Chiefs fans.
Adam Azer
This is from Christopher. I'm worried that the Ravens will blow out the Giants. Should I start Jameis Winston over Lamar, or should I start Ferguson over Andrews?
Jamie Eisenberg
No, you got to keep Lamar in.
Dan Schneier
Oh, yeah. One of his. Or most likely not gonna have one of his best weapons. Like, this could be a bad game for James.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, I agree with that. I also don't think, like, these blowouts are that bad because, like, they're still going to want to put up four, three, four, five touchdowns. Before they, you know, take the air out of the ball.
Dan Schneier
The only thing that if you. If you think it's going to be a blowout and you're worried about Lamar, you think it's going to be a blowout and worry about Lamar because there's like two or three defensive touchdowns here and they're losing offensive possessions, and then Lamar is more game manager handing off. Just get. Get your win and go home at that point. But he's still in the MVP race. He's still going to put up numbers. Like, this is not a single mar situation by any stretch.
Adam Azer
No, he's been amazing in all three of their blowout wins, so. But the other one is more interesting. Ferguson versus Mark Andrews.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm still going.
Dan Schneier
It's close to begin with. I mean, you know, in ppr, I actually like Ferguson better, you know, because I think Andrews, again, I know the Giants are the Giants, but they do lock down tight ends or I shouldn't. They do limit tight end production. Let's. Let's call it what it is. They're not stopping tight ends. Tight ends just don't do well against them. So, you know, yearly trends, I think if you have the choice, I go, Ferguson, ppr, non ppr, because Ferguson doesn't score touchdowns, I go, Andrews.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think it's fair.
Adam Azer
Dan, you're the only one that I think would be qualified to answer this. Do you think starting safety Tyler Newbin, who's out for the year, had anything to do with the Giants being elite against tight ends?
Jamie Eisenberg
No, I think it's all the way that Shane Bowen plays a scheme. It's the same scheme over and over again, and it's too high over the top. It's just going to limit opportunities for his tight ends.
Adam Azer
All right, next up. And you know what? I'd actually like to take just time just to say I don't think Najoku being out is really going to hurt Jameis that much.
Jamie Eisenberg
Why?
Adam Azer
He's just gonna throw the ball to someone else. It's not like, like Judy Tillman Moore, they can pick up the slack. The last two games, Najoku has 94 yards on 30 targets. That's absolutely awful. Yeah, he's scoring touchdowns and he's a good player. Like, he's a good player, but I don't think, like, if he lost Judy, that'd be one thing. But it's not like Najoku's making plays downfield, making guys miss, doing crazy things. He's just, you know, sucking up a lot of targets. I Still think that there's. They're not gonna be able to run the ball in this game, and he's still gonna throw a ton. It's just gonna go to guys who actually might be able to do more with the ball than David Najoku. Just my take.
Jamie Eisenberg
I don't hate it.
Adam Azer
All right, let's go to Krista. No, Paul. Paul from New Jersey. Parentheses. No drones. Keenan Allen. Deandre Hopkins. Khalil Shakir. Nick Westbrook. Akina. Let me see. I don't know how many he needs here, but who are your two favorite? Alan Hopkins, Khalil Shakir, Westbrook, Akina.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
The second one for me will probably be Keenan Allen, but it's close between him and Hopkins. What's the format? Ppr.
Adam Azer
He doesn't say, but he does need two.
Jamie Eisenberg
It's Hopkins for me.
Dan Schneier
Yeah. I would go Keenan just because he already had success against this team. Like we talked about on Friday's show, I think we're going to see a situation where the receivers still have the opportunity to put up numbers. Even though Caleb struggles, I just buy into the targets he's had since Thomas Brown has taken over as a play caller. So Hopkins is touched on her bust. If he scores, he'll be better than Keenan. I just think Keenan's gonna get a lot more opportunities.
Adam Azer
All right, this is from George in Canada. He says, dear Nelson, Ned, Lenny and Mo.
Jamie Eisenberg
These like the three Stooges or something.
Adam Azer
First of all, there were four names there.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, I just thought, like, Lenny and Mo was like a Stooges type thing.
Adam Azer
What's his name? Shrimp. Shrimp or something.
Jamie Eisenberg
So what is it? Nelson, Lenny. Oh, these are Simpsons characters.
Adam Azer
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
Okay. That. I just had to think about that more once I heard the Nelson.
Adam Azer
Oh, I never revealed the thing about Dan.
Jamie Eisenberg
I never watched Simpsons. Like, I don't watch the Simpsons. Just going to put that out there.
Adam Azer
I'm going to recommend an episode to you.
Jamie Eisenberg
You have Disney Plus, I think. I think I still pay for.
Adam Azer
Watch one Simpsons episode. I'll try to think of one that I think you're going to really like. All right, our playoffs start next week, and Whoever wins week 16 and whoever wins in my matchup this week gets in. Do I go with James Cook or Jonathan Taylor and half ppr?
Dan Schneier
Oh, boy. Both guys make me nervous. I like the matchup a little bit better for Taylor. Fresh legs. The only thing that, you know, you look at with Cook is there's going to be a lot of points in that game, and so hopefully he comes through but he just has not been involved in the passing game as we saw last week. There are a lot of points between the Bills and the Rams and he did nothing. So I give a slight edge to Taylor. Overcooked.
Jamie Eisenberg
We talked a lot about about this on beyond the Box Score this week, but the, you know, change in James Cook's role in the passing game has really just altered his outlook entirely as a fantasy player. And I don't think that's coming back anytime soon. So especially like this week right away. So I'm going with Taylor there.
Adam Azer
You know, it's one thing to say it's altered his outlook. That might be true. But he's still a top 12 running back per game this season. He still scored 11 touchdowns. They're going to score a lot of points in this game. So I, I would start.
Jamie Eisenberg
He's a top 12 running back per game and he has 11 touchdowns. It seems like some of that is touchdown dep.
Adam Azer
Yeah, maybe, but he scores. But that's true. But I think Jonathan Taylor is entirely touchdown dependent this week.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's fair. That's fair.
Adam Azer
All right, from. All right, so Jamie said Taylor, I say Cook, what's your answer?
Jamie Eisenberg
Taylor, what was the embarrassing thing you learned about me? You can't tease it.
Adam Azer
No. Dan is the guy who if we're scheduled to do a podcast at 11:15, we'll show up at 11:15 and then send a text message to both of us being like, hey, are we still on for 11:15? At 11:15.
Jamie Eisenberg
He said, no, no, no, no. First of all, I sent it at 11:14 and I was in this room. That's what because of when I said, how does this not pretty obvious to you, Adam? You didn't give us in the room at 1108. So I was in the room at 1108. I waited six minutes. Nobody was here at 1114.
Adam Azer
Nobody get there. We're gonna get there at 1115.
Dan Schneier
As some, as someone who's never late, I just want to say like I did show up in the room at 11:15. Also I thought it was the wrong room because it said express. So the background was what I thought was because Thomas.
Jamie Eisenberg
Right. Adam, maybe if you show up earlier, you can change the background to the.
Dan Schneier
Shaper send us sent us the the link for all three shows for that we're doing on Friday and the express ones right by the mailbag.
Adam Azer
I don't know.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm getting the heat for showing up six minutes early. It's not waiting six minutes. No one's here. And then Texting. Are we still on for 11:15?
Adam Azer
You get. You wait, you send that at 11:17. You send that. 11:15.
Dan Schneier
Do you ever.
Dave Richard
Why?
Jamie Eisenberg
The show's supposed to start at 11:15.
Adam Azer
We're supposed to be there at 11:15. All right, let's move on.
Dan Schneier
Do you ever go into, like, you.
Jamie Eisenberg
Know, I operate on Tom Coughlin time. Sorry.
Dan Schneier
You ever go into a situation where you think, man, this is a great story, and then you're halfway through and you're like, man, this is a terrible story? That's what Adam.
Adam Azer
30% of my stories. Now, this was a great. This was one of my better ones. All right, From Kyle. Jacobe Myers, Sincere McCormick, Nick Chubb or Darnell Mooney? One spot.
Jamie Eisenberg
And do we have a format?
Adam Azer
No.
Jamie Eisenberg
Okay, well, I didn't hear the first name.
Dan Schneier
I'm sorry.
Adam Azer
Jacoby Myers. McCormick, Chubb, Mooney, Sincere.
Jamie Eisenberg
When I say McCormick, I would go Jacoby Myers.
Dan Schneier
Easily in PPR. Non PPR, I'd go McCormick, half PPR, I'd go Myers.
Adam Azer
From Christopher. Good morning, Neil Lance, Billy Joe.
Jamie Eisenberg
And Lewis Armstrong's.
Adam Azer
Or not Lewis, Louie Armstrong's.
Jamie Eisenberg
Armstrong, yeah.
Adam Azer
Armstrong's. Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
See, I'm not that bad at this, and I just should have taken a little more time on that Simpsons one.
Adam Azer
Yeah, that was bad, bro.
Jamie Eisenberg
That was not good.
Dan Schneier
You can never go three Stooges unless you're curly. Curly is always the obvious.
Jamie Eisenberg
Okay. Mo, I thought was a stooge, but I might be wrong.
Adam Azer
Pick three running backs. No, Mo is a stooge.
Jamie Eisenberg
I've never seen the stooges either.
Adam Azer
And Shrimp James. Yeah, yeah. James Connor.
Dan Schneier
You're the shrimp.
Adam Azer
I'm taller than dad.
Jamie Eisenberg
That was still debated. I think you actually are like, oh.
Dan Schneier
Dan, are you good at chess?
Jamie Eisenberg
No, I've never played before. It's a weird thing. I should be good at it. As somebody who plays poker.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I should be good at it. There it is.
Adam Azer
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
I would be good at it.
Adam Azer
I'll say this, not gonna lie, I'm pretty good at chess.
Jamie Eisenberg
Are you?
Adam Azer
No, that's my Schneier impression. All right, pick three. Running back to non ppr. James Connor, Tony Pollard, Rashad White, Rico Dowdle.
Dan Schneier
Wow.
Jamie Eisenberg
Three.
Adam Azer
Yeah. Non ppr.
Jamie Eisenberg
Say it again. Dowdle, Pollard, Rashad White, and Hoop.
Adam Azer
James Connor.
Dan Schneier
Connor's easy.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah. Connor versus Patriots is a lock it in.
Dan Schneier
Pollard's easy if he's healthy. Yeah, there's two. If Pollard. There's two. I would say three. I'm torn between Rashad White and Rico Dowdle. Just Because Rashad White's looked great last, like, unbelievable. By the way, the haircut theory is going to be put to the test. You know, else got a haircut this week.
Adam Azer
Who?
Dan Schneier
Derrick Henry.
Adam Azer
Oh, no, he cut the dreads. Not worried. But no, it's good.
Dan Schneier
The haircut was good.
Adam Azer
Oh, haircut's good. Okay.
Dan Schneier
Who'D I say the two? Opuka Puka. Prior to last week, Puka and Rashad White both got haircuts and they both are awesome. I'm gonna go with Connor Pollard and Rashad White. If Pollard is out, then dowdle over Ty J. Spears.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm going with White.
Adam Azer
I'm going to break. We'll be right back on fantasy football today. Attention all of you hungry people. I've got a new favorite snack. It's a hassle free snack, perfect for any occasion. I'm talking about wonderful pistachios, specifically wonderful pistachios, no shells. Wait until I tell you the flavors they have. They're incredible. And I love pistachios, but I don't love peeling the shells. With wonderful pistachios no shells, you open the bag, you reach in, grab a handful of pistachios and eat them. So let's talk about the flavors. My favorite is sweet cinnamon followed by sea salt and vinegar. Love those two. I also love the honey roasted and the smoky barbecue is really unique. They also have chili roasted, sea salt and pepper and jalapeno lime. So believe me, you're going to find several flavors that you love. So if you're just walking around the kitchen looking for something to eat or maybe you're tailgating at the game, wherever you are, reach for some wonderful pistachios, no shells. Visit wonderfulpostachios.com to learn more.

All right. More emails. Fantasy football@cbsi.com of course we have the fantasy cops coming up in a little bit. This is from Nash with Najoku out. Who should I start? Elijah Moore is PPR, by the way. Elijah Moore, sincere. McCormick, Kate Otten.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm going McCormick again. Look, I liked what I saw on tape from McCormick. We broke him down on beyond the box score. He's better than people realize. Great contact balance, great ability to win in a phone booth which I think think has been talked about this week by Antonio Pearson. They said he's the starter moving forward. I expect him to get the most volume of all these players by a.
Adam Azer
Wide margin is coming from someone who's way too young to have ever been in a phone booth, by the way or.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, actually phone booths were around when I was a kid.
Adam Azer
It's Elijah Morris and Sarah McCormick and Kate Otten.
Dan Schneier
So it's and. But he's replacing the joker. That's what threw me off a little bit. So it's just a flex.
Adam Azer
A flex, yeah.
Dan Schneier
Yeah. I think McCormick makes the most sense. The one thing about Elijah Moore who could benefit a lot with the Nijoku injury if Tillman comes back because then you assume we're gonna see a little bit more of Elijah Moore in the slot. But I do think McCormick just based on opportunity here is the best one. I just get a little bit worried with Desmond Ritter if he starts, you know, just how that offense will operate. Not that Aiden O'Connell is the, you know, world's greatest quarterback, but you know, he at least has been in the system for quite some time.
Adam Azer
I don't know guys. I'm. I'm not so in on McCormick as you got. I'm starting him in one league by choice. Bye bye. Necessity. But.
Dan Schneier
But that's what this is too.
Adam Azer
I think Elijah Moore. I would go with Elijah Moore in full. In full ppr. I mean with Jameis, the. How much he throws again. They're facing the Chiefs. The Chiefs are going to score. They're gonna be playing catch up.
Jamie Eisenberg
Are the Chiefs gonna score?
Dan Schneier
That's the thing.
Jamie Eisenberg
The Chiefs don't score a lot.
Adam Azer
Yeah, they're. They score. The Chiefs have the best run defense in football.
Dan Schneier
They score what, 17 points last week on field goal.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, everything is just a field goal with the Chiefs.
Adam Azer
I mean maybe they had a bad.
Jamie Eisenberg
Week last week, but against the Raiders they scored 19.
Adam Azer
Everyone scores.
Jamie Eisenberg
Two weeks ago was 19. Like they don't score a lot of points. The Chiefs.
Adam Azer
Yeah, maybe I overrated their offense a little.
Jamie Eisenberg
And they take so much time on their drives, which is not a good thing.
Adam Azer
This is the most pass heavy offense in football. So I think you've got. You've got probably a five catch advantage at least for Elijah Moore. On sincere McCormick. You got Madison coming back. Does that take some carries away from him? And you've got the Raiders. It's the worst. It's one of the worst offenses in football. So I would go with moreover McCormick personally.
Jamie Eisenberg
What's the latest on OConnell and Ritter? I thought we were.
Dan Schneier
O'Connell was. Is not been ruled out. Yeah, he did not practice yesterday if I'm not mistaken. Adam. Right. But he showed up.
Adam Azer
But he wants to play. Says he wants to play.
Dan Schneier
My guess is they're going to take it up to Saturday.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Azer
Okay. This is.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I'm gonna go more. I agree with you.
Adam Azer
All right, here we go. This is from. I'm gonna let Dan pronounce this name. L A M I N E Lemine Lamine in DC Start two out of three weird league. Kraft Friarmuth Ferguson.
Dan Schneier
Could be tight end Premium.
Adam Azer
Sit one Kraft Firemeath Ferguson.
Dan Schneier
I'm set. Firemouth.
Adam Azer
Cool.
Jamie Eisenberg
This is a weird league, but I would agree with that.
Adam Azer

Dan Schneier
I'll go McCormick and non and half. I'll take devante info.
Jamie Eisenberg
Okay. And I think that's fair. I. I don't know. Devonte scares me in general moving forward. Just based on what I've seen from that offense and maybe squeaky wheel game for A.J. brown, which I guess we're all expecting. Felt like Debo got his squeaky wheel game yesterday. He just kind of didn't do anything with it. Just the design with for him was there early. So I want to play McCormick based on that. I think.
Dan Schneier
I think part of this though is if. If the sentiment is squeaky wheel for AJ Brown and same amount of past attempts for Jalen hurts, then it's awful for Devonte Smith. If it's more passing.
Adam Azer
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
And A.J. brown's going to get more opportunities, then it's also going to benefit devonte Smith.
Adam Azer
Yeah, I do sort of feel like they're going to throw more, but I don't know. But I can't throw any less. This is Sam from Canada. I started fantasy football for the first time last year and didn't make the playoffs this year. I started listening to your podcast for the first time and I made the playoffs in both my leagues. Needless to say, I voted for you in the sports podcast awards. Well, thank you, Sam. All right, so now half ppr league start, two receivers and a flex. So basically sit one and he and Zach Charbonnet. Yeah, Zach sharpen. It should be in this mix. Okay, sit two then. JSN, Garrett Wilson, D.J. moore, Jordan Addison, Zach Charbonnet. Which three are we starting? Which two are we sitting? It's half PPR and it's JSN, Garrett, Wilson, D. J. Moore, Jordan Addison, Zach Charbonnet.
Dan Schneier
For me, it comes down to JSN and Wilson because I'll sit DJ Moore.
Jamie Eisenberg
Moore's the easy set for me.
Dan Schneier
I probably sit jsn.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm assuming that Walker's out because it seems very likely he didn't practice yesterday when Thursday, you might be listening on Saturday, it might be different. So Charbonnet is a lock for me based on that.
Adam Azer
Yep.
Jamie Eisenberg
Comes down to JSN or Addison for.
Adam Azer
Me to sit or. Oh, to sit.
Jamie Eisenberg
To sit. Garrett Wilson. In that matchup, I'm playing almost no matter what I think.
Dan Schneier
I'm sorry, I said. I said JSN or Wilson's. Jason or Addison.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, I think I. I'm a little confused.
Adam Azer
Instead of doing sits. Tell me who you're starting. Give me the three. Or start.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah. So. So Garrett Wilson and Charbonnet, we're starting those two, and then we're debating between the other two.
Adam Azer
The other three. DJ More. Jsn.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, no, we've ruled out DJ Moore. We've ruled out DJ More. All right. I think I go Addison for the up. I think it depends on the matchup too. Like, if you need a Safer. I don't know if I want to call JSN Safer. I'm gonna go with Addison.
Adam Azer
Boy, that took a long time.
Jamie Eisenberg
It's a tough call. I'd be going back and forth that one all the way up.
Dan Schneier
Listen, we're. We're fantasy playoff time, you know, so most of the questions we're going to get are not going to be easy one.
Jamie Eisenberg
You know, we get.
Dan Schneier
We got some of the people that, you know, locked into the playoffs that are just legitimate, you know, fantasy novices and don't know and have some confusion. And then we have people like this that have great teams and have tough calls, you know, I wish I would have benched Juan Jennings.
Jamie Eisenberg
Same me too. And Purdy, somehow, he really.
Adam Azer
It was pretty close to having a big game. Like, he had a few plays where Jennings.
Dan Schneier
Oh, Purdy threw a beautiful touchdown to a Rams defender.
Adam Azer
Oh, that was horrible. That was the worst game I've seen.
Jamie Eisenberg
How was Jennings close to drop?
Adam Azer
Well, he had. He had nine targets, right? He was. No, he wasn't close to. He was close to having a good game.
Jamie Eisenberg
Acceptable game. Yeah, yeah, like a good. He was close to having, I guess, a game that you could live with. Catches that pass but pretty was awful. It's devastating. I can't. I. You know what happens to me like the. The league I have, my home league, I have. Where I have Purdy and Jennings. I can't even look at the matchup. I can't click on the home page. I can't do it. I can't. This is what happens to me every time I can't get my. I probably won't look again until like Sunday at 6 and like, hope I'm like back in it or something.
Adam Azer
All right, let's go. Rapid Fire here so we can get to the fantasy office. I know Jamie's got a bounce soon. Rob has to start two of these guys. Start two. Marvin Harrison Jr. Keenan Allen, Adam Thielen, Rico Dowdle, Devonte Smith.
Dan Schneier
Start two.
Adam Azer
Yep.
Dan Schneier
Thielen is one.
Adam Azer
Dowdle.
Jamie Eisenberg
What format it is?
Adam Azer
Don't know. PBR. PBR.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh, that gives me a chance to play Harrison. I was gonna go with the Elon Dowdle but at least puts it in the I'm gonna go Thielen Harrison in full ppr.
Dan Schneier
I'm gonna go feeling and Dowdle same.
Adam Azer
This is from Joe. Super Flex half PPR bonus points for touchdowns over 40 and 50 yards and 100 yards rushing, 300 yards passing, 100 yards receiving. Okay. Anyway. Super Flex half PPR. Will Levis, Jacoby Myers or Adam Thielen.
Jamie Eisenberg
Thielen. I think I know I honestly I if a push came to shelf I got to go with what I would do. I would probably have to just slot Lavis in and hope for the best.
Dan Schneier
I'd like to know what receivers you'd be benching because Myers has been awesome and dealing a good two game stretch. But I think in this case you have to play the quarterback, especially one that's playing Cincinnati. Like there's, there's a huge spot here for Winston for Levis if he's healthy.
Jamie Eisenberg
Hey, by the way, I, I, I slow the roll on blow up with will Levis ever.
Adam Azer
But yeah, I just did a FFT express with Dave. We did beat the waiver wire and Jamis Winston, Cedric Tillman, Elijah Moore, they are top priorities. If you want to look ahead to next week. They have Cincinnati next week.
Jamie Eisenberg
Sure.
Adam Azer
All right, this is a good question here. I sorry I don't have a name on this one but it says why should I start CD Lamb over DJ Moore? In terms of matchup, Moore has a much better one and just scored 23 half point half PPR points against the Vikings three weeks ago. Lamb just scored over 15 half PPR points for the first time last week since week eight and yada yada yada, he's single digit points in two of his last six weeks. He's clearly dealing with some kind of ailment. Why should I start Lamb over DJ Moore?
Dan Schneier
It's a very fair question. I think just looking at it from for me and how I rank it, I think CD Lamb's targets are locked in. Not that DJ Moore's aren't, but you have two other very capable wide receivers on the same team with him and as we Saw last week. They're trying to get Rimo Dunzia some, you know, some feature touches, you know, so that's. That's encouraging. Where it's not just, you know, plays breaking down. And he's looking for Odunze, so they're scheming up some things for him. I think just in the case of this, yes, the matchup, statistically is better. I still think that CD Lamb again has a little bit of a higher ceiling if things go right for him. So I'm going to lean towards CD Land. But you can certainly go with DJ Moribund. He's had a better year since Dax. Gone down for sure.
Adam Azer
All right, last one is from Serenity Now. Dear Morty, Helen, Frank and Estelle.
Jamie Eisenberg
This is an easy one. Seinfeld characters.
Adam Azer
All right.
Jamie Eisenberg
Rank them as far as funniest or best funniest.
Dan Schneier
Oh, Frank is the funniest.
Adam Azer
Yeah. Number two is difficult between a star.
Jamie Eisenberg
I would go with Morty. I really like Morty style.
Adam Azer
Estelle cracks me up. Okay.
Dan Schneier
I mean, yeah, you are like an old woman. So. Yeah, sure, yeah.
Adam Azer
Half PPR. Nijoku. Oh, he's out. Sincere or Swift McCormick.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah. Sincerely.
Adam Azer
Yeah. Talk for a second.
Dan Schneier
Golf today, Dan.
Jamie Eisenberg
Now. Golf has been done for weeks now, bro.
Adam Azer
It's 20 degrees today.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, it's miserable. My focus has shifted to these drones that keep flying over.
Adam Azer
Yeah. So what's going on there? Like, what are people saying in your town?
Jamie Eisenberg
It's very weird. I mean, I've talked about Switz Thomas, a little bit off air. No one really knows what's going on, but we've all, at this point, seen them, so we don't really know. I saw one that was flying incredibly low just over the trees. That's the one I saw. So I don't really know what to make of it at this point. I'm just kind of waiting for somebody to tell me what's going on, and that doesn't appear to be the government because they're saying they don't know. So we'll see, I guess.
Dan Schneier
You scared?
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm definitely a little nervous about this. I don't see why I wouldn't be.
Adam Azer
Yeah, I agree. This just reminds me so much of Independence Day when everybody was so excited and they, like, went up to the rooftop to look and then they just got evaporated. You know, just.
Jamie Eisenberg
I don't think any of that's going to happen.
Dan Schneier
But you're. You're. What you're describing is poor little Dan's going to go walk outside. Oh, look at the trees. There's going to be a drone there. He's going to get zapped with a laser.
Adam Azer
I mean, not just him. No, it's just going to be. It's going to come down. It's going to New Jersey. I mean, I'm in trouble here in New York. It's just. You seen Independence Day?
Jamie Eisenberg
I mean, Ben Roman. Roman, in the comments said, what are you just talking about a neighbor flying their drone? No, Ben, I'm talking about, like, legitimately, from a decent distance away. It looked like the size of a car, and it was flying along the. Just over the tree line. Like, that makes zero sense whatsoever. Like, so I don't know what to make of that, but I guess it could just be people flying their drones, I guess.
Adam Azer
Yeah. This is a national story. The FBI has been commenting on it.
Jamie Eisenberg
It's very weird. I'm just gonna leave it at that. I'm definitely a little nervous and weirded out by the whole thing.
Adam Azer
Yeah, I don't blame you. Well, you can come stay with us. Go to the minor.
Jamie Eisenberg
Flying over you now, too. I've heard they're showing up in New York these days as well.
Adam Azer
Well, this sounds like a job for the real cops, but now we've got jobs for the fantasy cops on fantasy football today. Here we go. There's been one that's. That's made its way around the interwebs. It's gone viral on Twitter. Dan, you want to explain this one? You want me to do it?
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh, which one are we talking about? The crazy one. The crazy collusion one?
Adam Azer
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'll let you explain. I think you'll do a better job than me.
Adam Azer
Someone sent a screenshot of two fantasy managers, I think, playing to a scoreless tie. Yes. Two players in my league benched all their players to force a tie and eliminate me from the playoffs. I've tried to explain this is cheating and collusion, but they think they're being smart. I need help. What do you think?
Dan Schneier
So.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, go ahead, Jamie, kick them out.
Dan Schneier
They're done.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah. Yeah.
Adam Azer
This couldn't be more collusion.
Jamie Eisenberg
Exactly. This is like the. The definition of collusion. Two teams working together just by the pure definition of it. So that's the issue here. I don't mind the idea of trying. Like, we've talked about this before on other fantasy cops. If you're in a spot where, like, you're in first or whatever, and you want to, like, manipulate your matchup for the playoffs or where you'll be in a Bracket going ahead and like benching players or whatnot, but not when you're working with another manager. That just becomes collusion at that point.
Dan Schneier
It's so bad. Like, how does the commissioner not step in here? Unless I'm sure the commissioner is part of this, knowing all of our emails that we get about this, like, how does the commissioner not step in here and say, no, this is not happening, I'm sorry, I appreciate your effort, but you're colluding with each other to screw somebody else over and this is not allowed.
Adam Azer
Doesn't anybody remember the Chargers Raiders game from 2021 last week of the regular season? Winner gets in the playoffs, losers out. And the Steelers, I believe, would get in over the loser. But if the two teams tied, they both would have made the playoffs and they went to overtime. And none of neither team played for the tie. They both tried. I think Brandon Staley, if I remember, he called time out and he made some, some really controversial decision and the Raiders won. 35, 32 on a, on a field goal, like a long field goal. It was an incredible game. I wish I remembered all the details, but no, that was that, that was the way to do it. Go out and play for the win. You can't collude like that. You're out of the league. All right, next up, this one's from Tommy. This one's a little confusing, so bear with me. Our league had four teams tie at 7 and 7 for the final playoff spot. No, for the final three playoff spots, one team must go. The league constitution says tie breakers are in order. One record. So they all had the same record, two, quote heads up results, and then three total points scored.
Jamie Eisenberg
Okay.
Adam Azer
Of the four teams that were tied, the aggregate heads up records amongst the tied teams were 2 and 1, 2 and 2, 2 and 2 and 1 and 2. So you could argue that the 1 and 2 team would be out. But if you go to the third tiebreaker, total points scored, the 1 and 2 team would be in based on the third tiebreaker and out based on the second tiebreaker heads up results. If heads up results is interpreted, interpreted as the aggregate heads up results, the manager is arguing that since the tiebreaker doesn't specifically state aggregate heads up results, there is no team amongst the tied teams with a clear undefeated heads up advantage over any other tied team.
Jamie Eisenberg
This one frustrates me so much. That's why I'm shaking my head. It's just so backwards. It should be points. And that's it. That's it. We can't Be. There's already so much luck involved with the scheduling. Why are we adding more luck invariance to this game?
Adam Azer
Record one and then points. No.
Jamie Eisenberg
Enough. No, not yet. Record and then points. There's a tie in the record. You go to points. That's the best team. That's the best team. Enough said.
Dan Schneier
The only way you could. The only way you could do this is if everybody played each other the same amount of times. Yeah. And. And you had. But they're. They're lopsided. There are not. Not the same amount of wins and losses here.
Adam Azer
Right. Because the one and two team would say, hey, you. These other two teams were two and two. They had four games. I only had three games in this, you know, in this group of four. So I think you got to skip tiebreaker two and go to tiebreaker three and go to points.
Jamie Eisenberg
Control of your league and make the first tiebreaker points.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
Control back of your league.
Adam Azer
Absolutely.
Dan Schneier
What would Bane say?
Adam Azer
Do you feel like you're in control, as he said?
Dan Schneier
Do you feel in control of your city?
Jamie Eisenberg
I was born.
Adam Azer
Oh, no. Do you feel in charge?
Jamie Eisenberg
I feel like my brain is better than Adam.
Adam Azer
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
Standing outside the prison, he says, gotham, take control of your city.
Jamie Eisenberg
And I know it's better than Jamie's.
Adam Azer
I used to have a pretty good Bane. I think all three of us have pretty bad Banes right now.
Jamie Eisenberg
Those are bad.
Adam Azer
All right. This is from Thomas.
Dan Schneier
You're a Bane in my ass.
Adam Azer
The new guy in our league who's eliminated dropped Sam Laporta right before Thursday Night Football last week.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh.
Adam Azer
Our league has a rule that eliminated players can make transactions, try their best to play spoiler and all that, but they're not allowed to do it during the fantasy playoffs, which is week 15. But this was last week, so I initially had no problem at all with the laporta drop until someone pointed out that he also had both Stefan Diggs and J.K. dobbins on his roster. And there's no logical reason for dropping Sam laporta. To make things worse, it's not a fab league. And the guy who added him to the league and vouched for him is the sixth seed and is now going to get Sam laporta for the fantasy playoffs. He swears he just didn't notice the two IR guys, which I actually believe, given that this guy has failed to set his lineup twice and has made a few egregious but not vetoable trades, I take it in good faith that he's just horrendous at fantasy, our commissioner ruled that the drop should stand since the porta is not undrapable, which I am respecting, even though the team I'm facing this week now gets the porta as an addition. But my question to you is this. Did the commissioner make the right ruling, or should the porta have been returned to the guy's bench with Stefan Diggs removed instead?
Dan Schneier
Yes.
Jamie Eisenberg
Which one are you saying that they should have?
Dan Schneier
Laporta should have been back on his team and Dig should have been dropped. If he has IR players on his team, the commissioner should step in here and say, you have other droppable players. If you're just looking. Why did he drop the portal? What was the reason he.
Adam Azer
I don't know.
Jamie Eisenberg
Nothing. I mean, look, it could be a spike drop. Some people make spike drops, but.
Dan Schneier
But I. I think the only. Like, it was first off is he.
Jamie Eisenberg
Dude, trust me, people make spike drops.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I agree. Is. Is the man. I'm gonna do that with a lot of 49ers next week. Is. Is the drop because there was an illegal roster? Is the drop because they were adding somebody else? Like, I don't understand why the. Why Laporta was dropped. So if it's just dropping Laporta for an illegal roster, then you say, okay, look, hey, you just didn't pay attention. You said so yourself. You didn't realize there are IR players on your team. Like, for the. For the. For the sake of the league, like, you have to go in and step in as the commissioner.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm gonna make. You know, I'm gonna be cold hard with this, as I typically am. But we're asking a serious question about an unserious league. I mean, we have somebody who is not setting their lineup.
Adam Azer
That's not. So it's one unserious manager, you know?
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah. An unserious manager makes an unserious league.
Adam Azer
Fantasy football here.
Dan Schneier
Okay, be careful what you say, Dan. You win a whole season without sending a lineup in one.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's not true. I didn't know that I had muted that league. And then I said it in week six, by the way, that league where I was supposedly 09, I won my last four games, okay? And I played spoiler for two teams.
Adam Azer
You were not supposedly 09. You were.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh, I was. And then I finished in sixth place, and I went on a four game winning streak when Puka got healthy. And my other first round, second round, that got healthy, and I won four straight games and finished in sixth place.
Adam Azer
Wait, in the magazine league?
Jamie Eisenberg
Yes. Take a look you're not in the.
Adam Azer
Playoffs in that league.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, I. Oh, seventh place.
Adam Azer
That's a big difference, dad.
Jamie Eisenberg
Seventh or eighth? Well, I was.09 or whatever to start.
Dan Schneier
Okay.
Jamie Eisenberg
But that wasn't due to my inactivity. That was due to injuries.
Adam Azer
I got a counterpoint, Jamie. What about all the previous drops that this manager has made that other. Other fantasy managers have been able to pick up throughout the season instead of him dropping Stefan Diggs or J.K. dobbins? So I'm actually going to disagree with Jamie.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, but you know he's made bad drops throughout the season, right?
Adam Azer
Yeah, I think. I think I would let the poor. How.
Dan Schneier
How inactive have they been?
Adam Azer
Yeah. I don't know. I don't have all the answers, but it just. I wouldn't quite do it. It almost feels sort of the same philosophy as. As a commissioner sending an email to an inactive manager in week 15.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Azer
Or week 14 and being like, hey, set your lineup. But you didn't do that the six previous weeks when other teams were beating up on this.
Dan Schneier
If they have been making. I guess that's. That's fair. If they have been making AD drops throughout the course of the season and holding on to the two IR guys for whatever reason, then, yes, you should not do that. If this is the only AD drop they've made in weeks, okay. Right before the playoffs, then I'm going to step in.
Jamie Eisenberg
Speaking of bad commissioners, can I actually chime in real quick? I was. I was sick all morning yesterday, so I missed the drama. But in the next, you know, latest edition of Adam screws up again as a commissioner. Jamie, what happened yesterday in the Baked Burger Dynasty league? And why did I see, see, like three trades processed yesterday? I was looking at my phone. What did Adam do this time?
Dan Schneier
There were trades yesterday. I didn't see it.
Jamie Eisenberg
I saw some trades process made official notification on my phone. I'm like, trade has been made official. We're in the playoffs. Yeah.
Adam Azer
No, you. Can you. I would allow people to make trades up until the start of the game.
Jamie Eisenberg
Can you say the deadline was last week? Thomas has.
Adam Azer
No, I didn't say that. I. I didn't say.
Dan Schneier
He said it, though.
Adam Azer
I didn't say that. The. Look, I. I'm going to tell you the truth. I hate being commissioner of this league. Yeah. You got to step down.
Jamie Eisenberg
You just made. You just got to step down.
Adam Azer
I raised. I helped. I helped. I mean, I didn't really do anything, but I put this together to raise money for St. Jude. It's really the people. The two people who joined the league and paid a lot of money to be in it. They deserve the credit. Not me. Not me. Yes, but I started it because of St. Jude. I don't really want to be commissioner anymore. I'm awful at it. I didn't realize that we had a trade deadline in the league constitution. That was Monday. I intended to have it be Thursday, right before the game started. The playoffs actually started, so I made a mistake there. I'm just an awful commissioner. Anyway, let's take a break and read your Apple podcast questions and your YouTube comments when we come back on Fantasy Football Today.
Dan Schneier
I see it.
F

Eating at Chipotle for at least 15 years and for me, chicken burrito, white rice, guac salsa. That's my order. But I tried something new the other day. It's Chipotle's Smoked Brisket and I'll be trying it again and again and again. It's so good. Seasoned with Mexican spices and finished with a smoky sauce with chipotle peppers. It's got so much flavor and it's got spice, but it's not too spicy. Now you trust me for fantasy advice, I give even better food advice. Go get Chipotle's Smoked Brisket. But Chipotle Smoked Brisket is only here for a limited time, so you need to go try it. It's available in all Chipotle restaurants, the Chipotle app or chipotle.com I'm a changed man. I am a brisket believer. Go get the Chipotle Smoked Brisket right now. Well, I just downloaded a new game on my phone and it is awesome. It's called Marvel Snap Marvel Snap is an award winning collectible card game that combines deep strategy, a unique snapping mechanic, your favorite Marvel characters, and thousands of unique card art variants created by renowned artists to collect and use. And first of all, it's just visually appealing. It looks awesome, but the gameplay is what matters. So let's talk about why you're going to love Marvel Snap. The games are fast paced. Each game takes only three minutes. Your objective is to win two out of three locations by having higher total power than your opponent. And as you win, you earn cosmic cubes. I think my favorite part is the Snap mechanic. If you're feeling confident in your hand, or maybe you want to bluff, Snap to double the cosmic cubes, or if you're not feeling confident, you can retreat anytime to minimize cube losses. So this is where the strategy component really comes in. I love that. There are more than 270 cards in Marvel snap with over 2000 unique art variants to collect from beloved artists. And new cards are released every week. They keep it fresh. Download Marvel Snap now on iOS, Android and Steam to start playing the award winning collectible card game. Just me and Dan to finish off the show here.
Jamie Eisenberg
And Dan, I feel like mission accomplished already by me getting you to admit you are a terrible commissioner.
Adam Azer
It's not, I mean, it's not like I. Okay, some of us finish in eighth place and then say we made the playoffs and finished in six. I'm just being honest here. All right, we do have some comments on Apple podcasts. I appreciate that. Okay, so thanks for the reviews. This is from JMac. Pick two running backs and a flex and PPR. James Connor. James Cook. Zach Charbonnet. Jets running backs going. I'm going Connor and Charbonnet.
Jamie Eisenberg
Those are the locks. It's only two, two.
Adam Azer
And then a flex between James Cook, Cook. He's got Breeze hall and hold on, there's also John. There's also Johnny Smith and Adam Thielen.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, no, no.
Adam Azer
James Cook over Johnny and Thielen.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh, Thielen. Ooh, I kind of want to play Thielen, but I'm gonna, I'm gonna go James Cook.
Adam Azer
I am going to. I think I'm actually gonna go feeling because Detroit's.
Jamie Eisenberg
So I'm going Cook.
Adam Azer
All right, next up we have from TMAR10. Okay, I need a super flex and a wide receiver. CJ Stroud, AJ Brown, Tyree Kill, Terry McLaren, DJ Moore.
Jamie Eisenberg
What's the format?
Adam Azer
I don't know.
Jamie Eisenberg
Okay, so let's do it again. Give me the names one more time.
Adam Azer
C.J. stroud. A.J. brown, Tyree Kill, Terry McLaurin, D.J. moore.
Jamie Eisenberg
So Stroud, of course I'm not going to bench a guy.
Adam Azer
Oh, it's ppr.
Jamie Eisenberg
Super flex quarterback. And then it's. I should be just looking at the email because I've already.
Adam Azer
Oh, it's on Apple podcast. It's not your fault. I'm going to go with tyree kill over AJ Brown, McLaren and DJ Moore. Okay, how about you?
Jamie Eisenberg
Got it. I'm in on that.
Adam Azer
All right, next up, by the way, the subject line on that was Die Hard as a Christmas movie. So that's just an awful take once.
Jamie Eisenberg
I watched it, didn't I? What was my take? Finally on it. I gotta think back to the podcast. I'll think about it right now. Not a Christmas movie.
Adam Azer
Thank you. Good for you. From day 818, DeAndre Swift, Tank Bigsby, Elijah Moore or Cedric Tillman? PPR.
Jamie Eisenberg
Swift, Bigsby, Moore. Tillman Bigsby.
Adam Azer
Not for me. And PPR, it's tough, but I just.
Jamie Eisenberg
Think he has the most explosive potential.
Adam Azer
With Tillman. I'm gonna go with Tillman there, it's gonna be Tillman or more for me.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think they're gonna have struggle passing. I'm gonna stand by my take. We disagree with you on that entirely. I think it's gonna be a cold game outdoors. The Chiefs are going to control the clock all game and kick field goals.
Adam Azer
Jeremy from Ridgewood, New Jersey.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's a place where he's probably seen some drones.
Adam Azer
Yeah, I bet. Pick three of the following five and a half PPR league. Pollard, Shakir Dowdle, Marvin Harrison Jr. Devontae Smith, Shakir.
Jamie Eisenberg
Doubt this is PPR right? Dowdle or no Shakir Harrison Pollard. If he plays. I just don't think Pollard's gonna play.
Adam Azer
I would go Pollard, Shakir Dowdle and if Pollard's out, I would go Dowdle, Shakir and Marvin.
Jamie Eisenberg
Sorry, I'm responding to Matthew with his hilarious joke.
Adam Azer
What was Dan, are you broadcasting from your parents bedroom?
Jamie Eisenberg
This is a great original joke.
Adam Azer
Matthew. Oh my gosh, buddy, chill out. Matthew's not voting for us.
Jamie Eisenberg
Now that's. I see you're pandering to the voters. I understand. I respect.
Adam Azer
Absolutely. All right. This is a true poker fan. 888 Comment on Apple.
Jamie Eisenberg
Nice.
Adam Azer
Can I trust Kyler Murray going forward? Should I start Kyler or Caleb Williams, Anthony Richardson or Drake May?
Jamie Eisenberg
It's Kyler for sure for this week. I don't know about going forward, but this is a great matchup against New England.
Adam Azer
Yeah, you can afford to play it week by week. And I think we have one more here. No. Just a thank you from a guy from Titletown. Well, thank you. I appreciate that, sir. Oh, wait, we have this one. Oh, man, there's a lot of questions here. Start two running backs in a flex. Brock Bowers, Devon H. And Chuba Hubbard. Tony Pollard. Geez.
Jamie Eisenberg
See, this is how it's done. Mel gets it anyway.
Adam Azer
Oh, that's a dance.
Jamie Eisenberg
Streams from the outhouse, not his folks bedroom.
Adam Azer
I'm just gonna make this easy. I would start Bowers. H.N. no, I would start H.N. hubbard, and I would start Pollard.
Jamie Eisenberg
If you're benching Bowers.
Adam Azer
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
Because of the Ritter situation.
Adam Azer
No. Yeah, yeah, Partially.
Jamie Eisenberg
I don't think Bowers is benchable. I want to make that clear.
Adam Azer
I don't think any of these guys are benchable. H.N. hubbard and Pollard.
Jamie Eisenberg
True. Well, Pollard, I think, won't play well.
Adam Azer
I wouldn't say that. Pollard's faked us out a lot with.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Azer
True injuries.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh, this is tough.
Adam Azer
You can go with Bowers, but I.
Jamie Eisenberg
Think we can't bench Bowers.
Adam Azer
That's fine.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Azer
All right, thanks, everybody, for the questions. Now your Apple podcast questions.
Jamie Eisenberg
You just did Apple podcast.
Adam Azer
Now your YouTube questions. You want to go ahead and pick a few there?
Jamie Eisenberg
Okay, let's see. There's a lot of jokes on me right now, so we'll avoid those, and we'll go straight to this, which I respect, by the way. I keep making the jokes on me. Unless they're, like, the stupid, like, classic joke. No offense, but I called you out because it's just, like, not a good joke. Mel says sit 1d hot waddle or rico and full ppr. I will sit D hop.
Adam Azer
Okay, I'll go. I got you now. Dalton Kincaid or Juwan Johnson.
Jamie Eisenberg
Are we sure Kincaid's even playing?
Adam Azer
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's playing. He's been practicing full. He's got the worst matchup. But I'm gonna go with Kincaid.
Jamie Eisenberg
I can't possibly play Jake Hayner's Joanne Johnson.
Adam Azer
Jake Haters played in one game. He's played in, like, three, but he played a significant amount in one game, and he threw so much to Chris Olave, so I have no idea what he's going to do in this game. After getting 10 total points from Kyren and Cup, which two players have the highest upside out of Chase Brown, Tyreek Hill, Charbonnet McLaren, and Garrett Wilson? It is 1/3 ppr.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's such a tough because, like, he has so Many good players here, Luke. And it sucks that you just had Kyron and cupping, but I don't blame you. I would have played him too. I think Tyreek has the most Tariq we can put on there, right. As we're looking for upside. Tyreek carbonate. Right. Tyreek and Charbonne, probably.
Adam Azer
I'd probably go Chase Brown and Charbonnet. I mean, the upside is kind of negligible. All these guys have upside, but you go.
Jamie Eisenberg
You wouldn't say Tyreek was in the Upside?
Adam Azer
Not in a third ppr.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah. Oh, a third ppr. I've never even played in that kind of league. Very interesting.
Adam Azer
From beans, Dan Schneier looks like the general manager for a regional bologna distributor.
Jamie Eisenberg
Fun fact, beans. I don't eat bologna. What a disgusting mystery meat that must be.
Adam Azer
They basically taste like a hot dog. I mean, if you like hot dogs.
Jamie Eisenberg
You see, I do like hot dogs, but I'm still unwilling to try bologna because a hot dog never had baloney. No, I've never had bologna. Why would I eat bologna at any point? It's good, disgusting mystery meat. And I think the difference that you're not understanding here between a bologna and a hot dog is the texture. Bologna texture looks gross. No, I guess if I fried it up, it'd be fine and crispy.
Adam Azer
Bologna's good. Just eat cold baloney.
Jamie Eisenberg
You're eating cold bologna?
Adam Azer
Yeah, I need cold bologna.
Jamie Eisenberg
I mean, I haven't done that since anything. You gotta fry it up.
Adam Azer
I haven't had bologna, zombie kid, but I would eat baloney.
Jamie Eisenberg
That soft texture.
Adam Azer
Jeff wants us to rank these three. Ridley, Shakir, Tillman.
Jamie Eisenberg
Shakir 1. That's obvious. Ridley 2. Tillman. I'm not as high on Tillman as you are.
Adam Azer
No, I'm not that high on Tillman either, but I would. I agree with your order. Tillman or Elijah Moore? I'd lean Tillman, I guess.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, Tillman.
Adam Azer
I don't feel good about either Javante Spears. Tucker or Sean Tucker or Kendrick Miller.
Jamie Eisenberg
If Pollard's out, Spears. Let's start by saying that. If not, let's go under that impression. I think I still might go spears.
Adam Azer
I think I. Oh, gosh, I don't even know Tucker. I'd go Javante. Nah, here's another thing.
Jamie Eisenberg
Here's another thing. Ham over turkey over bologna says Sebastian Dorian. Ham is another meat that I just find absolutely disgusting. The worst version of pork.
Adam Azer
Ham is one of my favorite foods.
Jamie Eisenberg
Ham, regular ham, deli ham. Deli ham is disgusting. What is maybe a Christmas ham, which I've never had a Christmas spiral ham, and I've always kind of wanted to.
Adam Azer
Wonderful.
Jamie Eisenberg
That I bet could be good. That I bet could be good. But that gross cold cut out of the sleeve ham.
Adam Azer
Now, are you doing this just by looking at it or you've actually tried it?
Jamie Eisenberg
I've tried ham.
Adam Azer
I don't buy this at all.
Jamie Eisenberg
It's been on an Italian sandwich. The bad. When you go to a bad Italian deli, they'll put ham instead of, like, the good Italian red meats. Like, it'll be, like, loaded with ham. That. This is how you know if you get a good Italian sandwich from a deli. If it's mostly that, like, gross ham that Adam likes, that's a bad one. If they put, like, you know, the prosciutto and they put, like, all the good spice hams on there, that's how you know you got a good Italian deli.
Adam Azer
Okay. All right, we've got a question for from Western. Oh, I can't do a week 16 question right now. I'm sorry, I don't have.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, no, we're not ready for that.
Adam Azer
From Sam. Pick a wide receiver and a flex and ppr. Neighbors. Judy, Jameson, Williams and Pollard.
Jamie Eisenberg
I mean, we're assuming that Pollard's going to play in this. Let's do that. So then it's Pollard for me, for sure. Out of these, I would rank the receivers.
Adam Azer
Judy, Neighbors, jmo.
Jamie Eisenberg
I wouldn't. Again, I'm down on that whole Browns passing game. So I will go with neighbors, Jameson, Judy. In that order.
Adam Azer
Hey, ham hater. Yeah, this is a bad take. Like, ham is wonderful.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, no. Deli ham. Cold cut deli ham.
Adam Azer
You know what actually tastes kind of a lot like the spiral Christmas ham?
Jamie Eisenberg
What?
Adam Azer
Cold cut deli ham. Ready?
Jamie Eisenberg
No, I doubt that they taste similar at all. Actually. They do taste cooked and probably tastes good.
Adam Azer
Start two out of three and half PPR. McLaren, Dowdle, Brian Thomas Jr. Tough one.
Jamie Eisenberg
That is a tough one. Oh, Brian Thomas Jr. Last week the volume was insane. I'm gonna start BTJ.
Adam Azer
I'm gonna start McLaren and Dowdle. You're gonna start Thomas.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm gonna start Thomas and McLaren.
Adam Azer
What a great comment we have here from beans. Adam Azer looks like a generic police sketch.
Jamie Eisenberg
That is really glad this wasn't me.
Adam Azer
I hope this is not true. Pig hearts and kidneys are in baloney.
Jamie Eisenberg
What do you mean you hope it's not true? What do you think's in all this?
Adam Azer
Not pig hearts and kidneys.
Jamie Eisenberg
What do you think's in a hot dog. Adam, you're not that naive.
Adam Azer
I don't know specifically what's in it. I know that in the Simpsons they say that a boot is in the hot dog. And in that great episode. Oh, Lisa the vegetarian. All right, this is the. This is the assignment for those of you in the chat. What? Which Simpsons episode should Dan Schneier watch? I recommend seasons 3 through 7. I will not accept 1, 2, or 8. I think we might even want to go season 4 through 7 here. But if you have a favorite episode, I would say Lisa on ice would be my recommendation for you. That one is great, but it doesn't have a ton of Homer, so. Yeah, I will. First of all, this question. Bo Nix or Anthony Richardson? It's a great question.
Jamie Eisenberg
Can I say something? Well, let's go first with this question. I'm gonna go Bo Nicks.
Adam Azer
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
And now a few things that I want to talk about. One, I've weirdly never seen Simpsons, but I have seen a decent amount because it was on TV a lot at the time. Like, I was a kid, and it was like late night of Futurama. And I didn't find that humor funny. And it's the same writer, and I've heard it's the same humor, so I don't know about myself with Simpsons. We'll see if it's on my alley. Here's another take from Hector. Carnitas is the best version of pork. Good version of pork for sure. But prosciutto is the best version of pork by far.
Adam Azer
Prosciutto is pork. I thought prosciutto is beef.
Jamie Eisenberg
Prosciutto is pork. I used to think it was beef, too, and then a Muslim friend of mine couldn't eat it and told me why.
Adam Azer
Oh, that's interesting.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Azer
Brian Thomas, Jr. McLaurin, Tyreek Hill. Sit one.
Jamie Eisenberg
Why do I. Honestly, you know what? I'm doing it. I want to do it, and I'm doing it. I'm sitting Camara. I don't care. That's what I want to do. I don't trust that offensive.
Adam Azer
I would do the same thing. Yeah, I would just do the same Cook or Ridley, ppr.
Jamie Eisenberg
I just. Again, I know the matchup's not horrible, but. And it's good. But on paper, I just don't trust Will Levis. I'm going with cook.
Adam Azer
All right, let's go with do not watch the Simpsons.
Jamie Eisenberg
Actually, you know what? This is actually a great take. This is the best version of pork, and it's better Than prosciutto al pastor. Tacos. Especially if you go to, like, tacos El Gordo in Vegas. Places like that. One of the best places in Vegas. My favorite taco ever. Really?
Adam Azer
I've got it. Cape Fear Season 5, Episode 2. Have you ever seen the movie Cape Fear? No chance.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, no, no.
Adam Azer
Watch Cape Fear. That is Cape Fear.
Jamie Eisenberg
Simpsons episode.
Adam Azer
Cape Fear. Simpsons would still be good, though, if.
Jamie Eisenberg
I haven't seen the movie.
Adam Azer
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. All right. A few more here on YouTube. Darnold or Winston? And I guess he's got Judy, so.
Jamie Eisenberg
Arnold Darnold.
Adam Azer
Yeah, for sure. And neighbors. Judy. Marvin Harrison Jr. Did we do this one?
Jamie Eisenberg
We didn't.
Adam Azer
I'd go juice.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm gonna go mhj.
Adam Azer
Okay. Stevenson or Marvin Harrison. Ppr.
Jamie Eisenberg
Mhj. Full ppr. This is a good matchup. He really should get going.
Adam Azer
I don't think it's a good matchup. I think he's going to get Christian Gonzalez.
Jamie Eisenberg
I just think they're going to move the ball and be in position to score a lot, and he'll get one.
Adam Azer
Of those if they open up a lead. It's really bad for him, andre.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's true.
Adam Azer
DeAndre Hopkins, Devonte Smith or Elijah Moore in non PPR.
Jamie Eisenberg
God, I hate this option. I'm gonna. Honestly, non PPR. I'm tempted to go Hopkins. I am going Hopkins. I don't think the other two are doing much anyway.
Adam Azer
I'm with you. He gets a ton of end zone targets. You need the touchdowns.
Jamie Eisenberg
I don't agree with this take, but I like that he calls it Taylor ham and not pork roll. So the Dana bead says Taylor ham is the best version of pork. And Taylor ham is. How you call it?
Adam Azer
It's the Dana vibes. The Danabides.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh, that was a really bad pronunciation. I was trying to get it in quick. Yeah, that's my excuse.
Adam Azer
You know the reference, right?
Jamie Eisenberg
No.
Adam Azer
The dude abides.
Jamie Eisenberg
What's that?
Adam Azer
Big Lebowski.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh, the dude abides. Lebowski.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, I saw Lebowski once. That's it. On a plane.
Adam Azer
Me too. Did you like it?
Jamie Eisenberg
I should have. Not as much as I thought I would. Based on. I think sometimes things gets hyped to me. Like, there were moments I liked. I liked early, when he. When, like, the conversation when they're at the bowling alley with the four of them. That was funny. But, like, I'm trying to remember what they can't even remember what they said.
Adam Azer
The John Turturro's character is amazing.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah with all them there tutorial had to be there Zach. But like I don't know the whole movie I didn't love non PPR pick.
Adam Azer
2 Marvin Harrison Jameson Williams Malik Neighbors Jacoby Myers.
Jamie Eisenberg
Ooh non PPR again. I think Harrison scores this week. So I'm going Harrison.
Adam Azer
Okay.
Jamie Eisenberg
And Jameson.
Adam Azer
I'm gonna go Myers and Jameson. And that is it for our mailbag. Thanks so much for watching and listening everybody. We will talk to you on Sunday, 11:30am Eastern and have a great weekend. Good luck. Bye.

In this engaging episode of Fantasy Football Today, host Adam Azer, along with analysts Jamie Eisenberg, Dan Schneier, Dave Richard, and Heath Cummings, delve deep into listener mailbag questions, tackle league disputes through their Fantasy Cops segment, and share pertinent fantasy football news to help you dominate your league.
Adam Azer kicks off the episode by sharing his proactive approach to combating common illnesses, especially with young kids in the household:
"I always have Zicam in the house because it shortens the cold. You don't want to deal with a cold for a week. You want this to be over as quickly as possible."
— Adam Azer [00:00]
Jamie Eisenberg opens up about his recent battle with a stomach bug, adding a personal touch to the podcast:
"On about Monday night, I caught some weird stomach bug and it's been brutal for three days... The high is that my friend Rachel continues to barrel on."
— Jamie Eisenberg [03:49]
These candid exchanges create a relatable atmosphere, emphasizing the podcast's commitment to connecting with its audience on a personal level.
The hosts encourage listeners to support their podcast by voting in the Sports Podcast Awards, aiming to secure a win to reflect their dedication to providing top-notch fantasy football insights.
"We need your help. It means a lot to us and we're going to help you win your league right now."
— Adam Azer [05:03]
The heart of the episode revolves around answering listener questions, offering strategic advice to optimize fantasy football rosters. Topics range from start/sit decisions, player performance evaluations, to handling injuries.
Listeners posed questions about key player selections, and the hosts provided detailed analyses:
St. Brown, London Higgins, Brian Thomas Jr.: Debating who to bench in a deep receiver lineup.
"I think people are not going to trust him [Ingram]. But Ingram's out and Bucky Irving seems very questionable for today's game."
— Adam Azer [03:24]
Tyreek Hill vs. Malik Neighbors: Evaluating who offers better fantasy and real-life performance.
"Tyreek in both. Look, Tyreek's a borderline hall of Famer. Like, come on."
— Dan Schneier [08:12]
Jameis Winston vs. Lamar Jackson: Deciding between starting a potentially struggling quarterback or league MVP contender.
"You got to keep Lamar in."
— Jamie Eisenberg [08:56]
With players like Evan Ingram out for the season, the hosts discuss the implications and adjustments needed for affected teams.
"I'm starting him in one league by choice. Bye bye. Necessity."
— Adam Azer [22:25]
Advice on selecting the best players for flex positions in different league formats (Full PPR, Half PPR, etc.):
James Cook vs. Jonathan Taylor:
"I will start James Cook."
— Jamie Eisenberg [13:17]
Devonte Smith vs. Sincere McCormick vs. Nick Chubb:
"I'm going with Tillman there, it's gonna be Tillman or more for me."
— Jamie Eisenberg [50:13]
The Fantasy Cops segment addresses instances of collusion and unfair play within fantasy leagues, offering solutions and emphasizing the importance of maintaining competitive integrity.
A listener reports two managers benching all their players to secure a scoreless tie, aiming to manipulate playoff standings.
"This is the definition of collusion... Two teams working together just by the pure definition of it."
— Jamie Eisenberg [35:05]
The hosts unanimously agree that such actions are unethical and suggest immediate intervention by league commissioners to uphold fairness.
Another scenario involves four teams tied for playoff spots with conflicting interpretations of tiebreaker rules.
"Control your league and make the first tiebreaker points."
— Jamie Eisenberg [38:36]
The hosts advocate for clear, points-based tiebreakers over ambiguous aggregate head-to-head results to minimize disputes and maintain league harmony.
A listener questions whether a commissioner's decision to allow certain roster changes was appropriate, especially concerning inactive managers who may disrupt league fairness.
"If they have been making AD drops throughout the course of the season... then, yes, you should not do that."
— Dan Schneier [43:36]
The consensus is that commissioners should enforce rules strictly and address any form of manipulation to ensure a level playing field.
While the episode primarily focuses on mailbag and Fantasy Cops, the hosts touch upon minor news items relevant to the fantasy football community, such as player injuries and team strategies.
"Evan Ingram is out for the season."
— Adam Azer [02:33]
In a fast-paced segment, listeners' quick questions are addressed with swift recommendations, demonstrating the hosts' deep knowledge and ability to provide immediate advice.
"If you're benching two, use total points scored as your tiebreaker and go with points."
— Jamie Eisenberg [38:27]
Amidst the strategic discussions, the hosts engage in playful banter about personal preferences, pop culture references (like "The Simpsons"), and humorous anecdotes, adding a relatable and entertaining flavor to the episode.
"Ram's defenses are killing us out here."
— Jamie Eisenberg [42:06]
Wrapping up the episode, the hosts thank their listeners for participation and encourage continued engagement through emails and social media, reinforcing the community-driven nature of the podcast.
"Thanks so much for watching and listening everybody. We will talk to you on Sunday, 11:30 am Eastern and have a great weekend. Good luck. Bye."
