Dan Schneier
This is fantasy football today from CBS sports.
Jamie Eisenberg
What a play.
Adam Azer
Can you believe this?
Jamie Eisenberg
No, I can't.
Dan Schneier
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Adam Azer
Off to the races and he stays on his feet. This is going to go the distance.
Dan Schneier
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
Adam Azer
What a day in the sports world. Sweet 16 opening day and fantasy mailbag time. What is up? Welcome to the show. We're taking your emails. Fantasy football@cbsi.com fantasy football. That is the letter I. If you have a fantasy cops question, you can send those in. We'll be doing the fantasy cops later today. Just put fantasy cops in the subject line. And we're reading your Facebook comments as well. There's a thread on there about the mailbag. It's really kind of too late for you now, but join our Facebook group. It's just called fantasy football today. What's going on? Where the heck are you now, dad?
Dan Schneier
Now I'm recording for a brick wall. Just another brick in the wall.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Azer
Oh, I was gonna make. Hey, listen, you were late today so I have to punish you.
Dan Schneier
I know you cool with that.
Jamie Eisenberg
All right, so make him watch Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito for 17 games.
Adam Azer
So I, I found a clip from yesterday's show that I hadn't heard. This is like Dan kissing Jamie's butt, like to, to another degree. Well, let's take a look. Let's play the tape. Here we go.
Dan Schneier
What I think about and Jamie broke this down well, I thought really well.
Adam Azer
Was like, why did you have to add that really well?
Dan Schneier
I don't know. I thought he broke it down really well. What can I say? It was like really well. Five different details. I was about to bring up like one or two of them. I'm like, you know, I'm just going to be repeating what he said so I can't really even do it.
Adam Azer
All right. All right. What's up, Jamie?
Jamie Eisenberg
Love when Dan's on the show, we should have him on one more.
Adam Azer
Yeah, it's great. You feeling good about the game tonight?
Dan Schneier
Oh, yeah. Geez. F u f. Let's go.
Jamie Eisenberg
Am I feeling good about the game? I mean, like, you know, at this point, 1 and dones are never feel good about, you know, but yes, I feel confident that they're going to play well.
Dan Schneier
I went back and looked at one of my bracket pools and I'm in second place and the first place team has a different champion than me and My champions Florida. His is Duke. So now we've got a lot riding on your team and I loved what I saw in the regular season again. But what has been going on so far in the tournament?
Adam Azer
All right, all right, let's get to the emails here. This one is from Celeste says hey, Howie, Brett and Eric. Oh, I didn't have my Eric queued up there. Howie, Brett and Eric.
Jamie Eisenberg
Howie, Brett and Eric.
Dan Schneier
Howie, Brett and Eric. Howie Roseman. No long.
Adam Azer
Howie, Brett and Eric. Don't know who's a running back or a wide receiver that you hope doesn't get bumped up too much in the off season so they stay a nice mid round value pick with top 10 or top 5 upside.
Jamie Eisenberg
Just a running back or a wide receiver. We talked about the 49ers guys yesterday. Those, those two come to mind. Curious. See what the Raiders do with Jacoby Myers.
Dan Schneier
I'm trying to think of like a second year player. I like that I can, that I can. That can fit this bill that hasn't got the hype yet. Let's see.
Adam Azer
Well, Xavier Worthy went in round five.
Dan Schneier
I love Xavier Worthy so I could definitely put Xavier Worthy in that.
Adam Azer
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
And be happy with that.
Adam Azer
Roma Dunes A. I don't think he'll make it. I. I don't think he deserves to be drafted in the first, the first four rounds. I don't think he'll ever get. I mean maybe he will but it's, it's kind of a, you know, leap of faith. And how about.
Dan Schneier
I would like to say like Trey Benson, but I'm still think James Connor's gonna have a huge role so I can't even put him.
Adam Azer
How about Cortland Sutton? Anybody feel that way about Sutton? I mean there's, there's really no reason why he couldn't have a really big year.
Dan Schneier
Oh, you know who I'll put. I got one lad McConkey. I'll put live McConkey there because I.
Adam Azer
Really think that's gonna be a mid round pick.
Dan Schneier
What's he gonna be, top one or two?
Adam Azer
Third.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think Conky's at worst the third round pick right now.
Dan Schneier
Yeah. Yeah. Even that.
Jamie Eisenberg
I got one. Jameer Gibbs.
Adam Azer
All right, what's our answer? I think Xavier Worthy is. Is definitely on this list.
Dan Schneier
Christian Kirk. I think Christian Kirk could be really good in that offense, especially given the situation they have at receiver.
Adam Azer
All right, let's go to our next email. It is from Corey, longtime listener, first time emailer. All right, 12 team. Yeah. Corey. Well, yay. 12 team. One QB4 player keeper league. There's no contracts or penalty for keeping players. I'm keeping Justin Jefferson. I need three of the following Mahomes, Jonathan Taylor, Breece Hall, Bucky Irving, Xavier Worthy, Devonte Smith.
Jamie Eisenberg
One qb, one qb.
Dan Schneier
All right.
Jamie Eisenberg
My home's out forever, right?
Adam Azer
The running backs. For me, it's Taylor, hall and Irving.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, I think that's your best bet.
Dan Schneier
Wait, wait. You can keep these players forever?
Adam Azer
I think so.
Dan Schneier
I mean, do you really want Taylor, hall and Irving then over Xavier Worthy and devonte Smith? Guess.
Adam Azer
Yeah, I do.
Jamie Eisenberg
I'm gonna guess just the fact that he has this level of talent like you're, you're gonna be able to, to find some guys and, and keeping four is a lot. But I'm gonna try to win now, and I think those four give you the best chance to win now. The only one you could, I would debate at least is, is Breeze hall versus Worthy.
Dan Schneier
I, I would, I would take it. Worthy and maybe devonte Smith over all them. Besides maybe hall or Taylor. I, I don't. Bucky Irving. I would definitely not put in this a fourth round, a day three running back. I'm not keeping him forever. Oh, I, I, he's, he's a great talent. He's a great talent.
Jamie Eisenberg
He's my favorite of those three that are left.
Adam Azer
Why, why do you feel that way about Bucky?
Dan Schneier
I just think it's a day three running back. The track record of those guys having long careers is not long. He could be an outlier for sure, but he came into the league as someone who people expected would never really be able to handle the full workload. We talked yesterday about Tony Pollard and a little bit of concern over, like, how, how big can that workload get with a player like that who's never shown it? I feel like Irving might fit into that billing.
Adam Azer
All right, let's go to our next.
Jamie Eisenberg
He's a year away, though, from Rashad White leaving and who knows who comes in, which could be better than Rashad White, better than Bucky Irving, or it could just be, you know, more depth and then he's the clear cut guy.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Azer
All right, here we go. Our next email comes from. Oh, it's from Justin. There he is. He's an Eagles fan and he says, as an Eagles fan, Dallas Goddard is very, very likely to get traded or cut before next season. Devonte Smith has showed in games without Brown or Goddard how good he is. Best season of Smitty's career coming up.
Dan Schneier
We've been saying that for a while. I Feel like I've been a huge fan of him in fantasy. I've drafted him on a lot of teams just based on the talent. I just think Jamie made a good point. I shouldn't say that because Adam's gonna clip that.
Adam Azer
A really good point.
Dan Schneier
He made a good, just a regularly good point yesterday when he said like, from a logistics standpoint, the only really way to get him involved is if they change their offense in a big way. And that would require Saquon Barkley taking a major step back. I don't really see that happening. Their offensive line is just as dominant. They still have Stoutland, so there's just not enough volume for me to ever get excited anymore about Smith being that dominant player.
Jamie Eisenberg
If Goddard is gone, go back to Monday show if Goddard is gone or AJ Brown misses time. Smith has top 15 to top 10 upside. Mostly if Brown is missing time. Yeah, when Goddard is out, it just opens up a few more targets. They're so concentrated. Like that's what they do. You know, they, they have their top three guys, you know, which we love. They don't really involve a lot of other players. Even Barkley to that extent, you know, he's not that of a significant contributor in the passing game that it impacts the other three in such a negative way. I think the one thing though that you look at is there is a new offense coordinator. So we'll see how that changes things, if at all. But I doubt it. I just think you're looking at Devonte Smith as a very good number three receiver that has the chance to pop certain weeks and explode on others when anybody's missing. So if Goddard is gone, you know, and Dave brought this up, this is the, you know, I'm assuming the genesis of this email is that, you know, Dave said that if Goddard leaves, I just think that if they were going to make that type of move, they would have done so already. I know, you know, June 1st cut all those things, but typically when you're getting a player of that magnitude on the way out, they're designated as a post June 1st cut already. So it'd be a surprise if they cut him at this point.
Adam Azer
It's. It looks to me like if they cut him, they have to pay his full salary, which is 11 million, almost his full salary. He'd have a dead cap hit of $11 million. He's an unrestricted free agent next year. So this is the last year of his contract. Devonte Smith, I mean, if you look at the games without Dallas Goddard, you don't like the targets, there's not that many, but you love the production he has. It doesn't look like he scored a touchdown in any game that both Brown and Goddard played this year except the Super Bowl. But he scored eight touchdowns and those were all in games that either Brown or Goddard missed. And most of them were games that Goddard missed. Looks like seven of his eight touchdowns came in games without Dallas Goddard, including Week 6 when Goddard barely played. So it is pretty crazy, but it's like, it's still not a lot of targets, but it's great production.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think if, if you play out the Eagle season and you expect Barkley to still be excellent, because I don't know if he's going to be dominant, like, not like he was. Yeah, because the touches are insane. They're just a lot to deal with. And, and that's the concern. You know, he's not old, old, but he's old for that position. And, and so coming off all that work, the track record of 2000 yard rushers, and now they may have to throw the ball a little bit more if Barkley misses time, what does that mean for all these pass catchers? So there, there's a, there's an upside play here with Smith because again, if those guys miss time, then he's clearly been much better. So he's, he's a, he's a great gamble. But I think if you reach for him, which we were, I mean, two years ago we were saying he was a second round pick, that was on us, you know, to the hope that he was going to take a step forward and he just didn't. So I think you're, you know, you're talking about a round 5ish, round 6ish receiver. That's perfect.
Dan Schneier
That's where I would have them do. I think that's where the ceiling caps out at.
Adam Azer
Yeah, that. So what was it for Smith? So it was the end of the, it was 2022 was his best year. Right. And he came on really strong and he had basically as many or more targets as A.J. brown in the last half of the season.
Jamie Eisenberg
They went on a missing time.
Adam Azer
Yeah. They went on a Super bowl run that year. And, and then what happened in 2023? Well, it just, A.J. brown just got so many targets. They just didn't throw to devonte Smith. It was volume.
Dan Schneier
Wasn't really there overall for the past game though either.
Adam Azer
Never.
Dan Schneier
A lot of Smith's big games have come on big plays and touchdowns.
Adam Azer
Yeah. Well, he's so good. All right, here's one from Sean. Sean has four bold predictions. He wants a spot in the 2026 podcast league. If he's right on all four of them.
Dan Schneier
Wow.
Adam Azer
I already told him the answer to that is no, but I'd be pretty impressed. I'd be pretty impressed. Maybe. Maybe I'd let him share a team or something. Bold prediction. RB1 will be Christian McCaffrey.
Dan Schneier
Love that.
Adam Azer
Wide receiver 1 will be CD Lamb.
Dan Schneier
I don't think that's so bold.
Adam Azer
But QB1 will be Jaden Daniels.
Dan Schneier
Again, not so bold, but okay.
Adam Azer
And tight end one will be Travis Kelsey.
Dan Schneier
Again, not even that bold, but a little bolder than the others. That's variable, but to the extent of, like, it's probably not happening anymore. But it's a guy who was like tight end one for five of six years.
Adam Azer
Yeah, but it's still.
Dan Schneier
I don't really find these to be bold predictions.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, the running back and the running back and tight end ones are somewhat old. Like the.
Dan Schneier
The five. The bold prediction is like, this is crazy.
Adam Azer
Well, he basically.
Dan Schneier
Jaden Daniels, Ricky Pearsall's wide receiver one.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's a bold prediction.
Adam Azer
He picked Jaden Daniels as QB1 and then the other three guys were all number one at their position in 2023.
Dan Schneier
Right.
Adam Azer
Kelsey may not have been overall, but.
Dan Schneier
He was number one at tight end last two years ago.
Adam Azer
I think he was per game. I don't think he was overall.
Dan Schneier
Maybe it was per game.
Jamie Eisenberg
Thomas is on fire today.
Adam Azer
What's Thomas said.
Jamie Eisenberg
You can't repeat it, but let's check.
Adam Azer
Let's check the private chat here. Oh, come on, Thomas. That's messed up. Yeah, he was. Kelsey was tied at one per game.
Dan Schneier
The least pulled of all these was Jaden Daniels. This QB one.
Adam Azer
What's the least bold of these? I would say it's CD Lamb.
Dan Schneier
Oh, no, it's lamb. It's lamb. It's ridiculous to even say that's bold.
Adam Azer
So. So, Dan, you have some stories for us. You said you had some travel stories.
Dan Schneier
Let's warm it up a little bit. I got.
Adam Azer
Oh, all right. I'm about to. That's what I was born to do.
Jamie Eisenberg
Lucas. Cooking.
Adam Azer
We'll. We'll take a break.
Dan Schneier
Punishment that's coming.
Adam Azer
No, you said you had stories like. Oh, I got some great stories. I got some travel stories. I got these stories. I got some great stories for you. All right, we'll be right back and take a break. We got an email from Joe. We've got your Facebook comments. We may or may not have Story time with Dan. We'll be right back. Jamie Eisenberg

Adam Azer
Everyone's been dying for.
Dan Schneier
You have no idea what I'm capable of. What other secrets are you keeping?
Adam Azer
Stream the new season of School Spirits now on Paramount.
Dan Schneier
Plus.
Adam Azer
Let'S try to make predictions that are like slightly less bold than what Sean made, but still not bold at all. Well, wide receiver one. Justin Jefferson, QB1. Mahomes Patrick Mahomes.
Jamie Eisenberg
Burrow, burrow.
Adam Azer
Okay. RB1 Derrick Henry and Titanic. Oh, that's pretty bold. Tight end one. Yeah, it's gonna Bowers.
Dan Schneier
I'll take Josh Allen as my QB1. Who had ever seen that coming? It's impossible to predict. RB1 I'll go Christian McCaffrey. I'll just copy that one. Wide Receiver Malik Neighbors. It's so bold. It's such a bold pick and tight end giving me Sam Laporta.
Adam Azer
By the way, I asked Dan, I sent an email or no, Thomas said to me, we're gonna do Dan's favorite players on Wednesday show. And I said to him, get your Malik neighbors thumbnail ready. And I sent an email. Dan, who are some of your favorites? And sure enough, Malik Neighbors was on there. We didn't talk about it, but how.
Dan Schneier
Could you not like him this year?
Adam Azer
I liked him a lot more. But when I sent you that email, Russell wasn't on the team.
Dan Schneier
I still think Russell will be good for him too.
Adam Azer
All right, let's go to Joe's email here. Nervous about this trade because my dynasty team stinks. My only wide receivers are Higgins, D.J. moore and Tyler Lockett. My quarterbacks are J.J. mcCarthy, Goff and Geno. Do I trade McCarthy and Lockett, which would leave him with golf and Geno.
Dan Schneier
Okay.
Adam Azer
For Olave Devonte Smith, Kirk Yes. Kirk cousins and pick 403.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, you do this trade, you do this trade easily.
Adam Azer
Yeah, for sure.
Dan Schneier
This is it.
Jamie Eisenberg
You.
Dan Schneier
You'll be a little light at qb, but it's not to an extent you can get through the years and you're going to get too much talent from Olave and Devonte.
Adam Azer
Oh, wait, I had an email from. From Eric. I don't know where it went. It just says from Eric in here and then there's no email. I think this one is from John. I have picks 107 and 110 in a rookie only draft, one QB league. Who are some players you might think I would be taking at these spots? 107 and 110.
Jamie Eisenberg
I guess you got to assume at this point Genti and Hampton are gone, Ted is gone. And then this is where the guessing game comes in and where these guys are going to end up being slotted on their respective NFL teams. Right?
Dan Schneier
Yeah, this. This is a question that we could give you some names of prospects that we have high and I can list off players I like. But this is a year specifically where when there's 14 deep at running back that could all start next year or all play a big role, it's going to depend on where they land in the NFL draft. It's going to change so much of the dynasty ranking. So I don't want to. And this is a really deep running back class. There are receivers that you could probably throw in here, like Golden. Matthew golden from Texas might be in the mix there. I don't know if he goes a little higher, but might be around that range. Like there are receivers to put out there. Yeah, the kid from Iowa State, Higgins, and even the other guy from Iowa State who I'm now blanking on his name, the smaller kid. But look, wait for the draft. It'll have to play out that way and there's going to be some interesting running back situations after this. I think the Bengals specifically are going to be a very interesting situation. I think they're definitely drafting running back in rounds two, three or four. And I think it'll be two or three.
Adam Azer
Tyler Warren if he's seven tight.
Dan Schneier
I don't know. I kind of like Loveland more.
Adam Azer
Okay, we'll see. All right. Elijah Royal is going to be a beast.
Dan Schneier
You think so?
Adam Azer
Yes, I.
Dan Schneier
It'll take the right team to figure out where to how to play him in an ethical system. But I do think there's upside there. And I'm not out on Restrepo either. Despite the 40 time.
Adam Azer
So Restrepo. Yes. There are four. I. I mean, people are.
Dan Schneier
Him.
Adam Azer
Are thinking about Restrepo being a second round pick in the NFL draft. That. No, no, my mind.
Jamie Eisenberg
There are four before the 40.
Adam Azer
What's that?
Jamie Eisenberg
He might have been before the 40?
Adam Azer
Well, he said he hurt his hamstring and he's been running for. So he ran like a 4, 8 something, right?
Dan Schneier
4, 8, 7. He said he was running 4, 5 threes. Tested before the hand, before the injury.
Adam Azer
He's not a four, eight guy. That's ridiculous. That's.
Dan Schneier
I don't think he's a four, eight. I don't think he's a four or five either.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think he's probably slow.
Adam Azer
There are four Hurricanes prospects. Two of them I'm very much in on. Two of them I'm not so in on. And Ward and. And tight end Elijah Arroyo. I love Restrepo. I just think he's.
Dan Schneier
You don't like Damian Martinez? I love Damian Martinez.
Adam Azer
No, maybe I'm missing something because everyone else loves him, but he was so, like, unimpactful. I mean, some big highlight plays that you're going to see, but for the most part, like, just. They didn't really have that good of a run game. Honestly, it was disappointing.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Azer
I don't know. On paper it was good, but no, I'm not a big Damian Martinez fan. All right, here's a question from Jake. Happy opening day. I'm just wondering how much you still track baseball. If you still play fantasy or are into it, or do any of the other guys play fantasy sports besides football? And so if you're new to the show. I used to host the Fantasy Baseball Today podcast until about six years ago, I think. At that point.
Jamie Eisenberg
That long?
Adam Azer
What's that?
Jamie Eisenberg
Hasn't been that long.
Dan Schneier
Probably longer.
Adam Azer
I think it has been that long.
Dan Schneier
It's been a long time.
Jamie Eisenberg
Since you hosted it?
Dan Schneier
Since I joined the fantasy team. I. Adam was never part of Fantasy Baseball Today. And that was three years ago.
Jamie Eisenberg
Four years ago. At this point, that seems more realistic.
Dan Schneier
Six years.
Adam Azer
Let me ask Frank. I'm gonna text Frank Stample, see how long he's been hosting it. Maybe five years.
Jamie Eisenberg
I don't think Frank's been here that long, I think.
Dan Schneier
Did anyone host it after you? After you? Between Frank, or was it just Frank?
Adam Azer
It was actually Frank's five year anniversary with the company a couple days ago.
Dan Schneier
So he got that email.
Jamie Eisenberg
You were still hosting it with Frank, though?
Adam Azer
No, not really. Was I? I don't think I was.
Dan Schneier
I Just know at some point Keith was on the show, which I still find every time I hear them talk about that, I always find that, dude.
Adam Azer
Me and Heath used to go at it on that.
Dan Schneier
Oh, I love that.
Adam Azer
It was regrettable.
Dan Schneier
Over what?
Adam Azer
Over fantasy. Over players, you know, like a lot of heat stats.
Jamie Eisenberg
So he probably argued with him.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, they both are big. They're stats guys. One has, you know, one uses actual data, Heath, the other just azers junked up the stats to make it look in one way.
Jamie Eisenberg
Listen, I'm only gonna count his home runs in these ballparks, all right? Yeah.
Dan Schneier
If you take out all the Yankee Stadium home runs, you know, count his walks.
Jamie Eisenberg
So we take out his walks.
Adam Azer
So I, I, I think at that point, I, I was thinking about this this morning when I read this question. I probably could have named, like, 80% of active baseball players. It's basically only middle relievers that I didn't know. Okay, I, I don't know if I can name 15% now. We did our fantasy baseball draft yesterday because I was so intent on not doing it, and Jamie dragged me into it again. And I mean, like, I. There's so many guys, like, who is that? Who is that? These guys are picking in the fifth round. Like, who the hell are you? Who is that?
Jamie Eisenberg
Not only did I drag him into it, he's the first one to respond to the question of, hey, do you guys want to raise the entry fee? Oh, yeah, sure.
Adam Azer
Well, we're splitting it, so, you know, what is it? $25 extra, whatever. You know, Know, I mean, I'm fine.
Jamie Eisenberg
With it, but it's just funny. Like, you don't want to do it, but you're the first one to respond. Yeah, sure. Let's spend more money.
Adam Azer
All right. So, Jamie, how many fantasy sports do you play?
Jamie Eisenberg
Sports?
Adam Azer
Do I play Fantasy sports? Fantasy 3.
Jamie Eisenberg
Basketball, baseball, and football.
Dan Schneier
Oh, you play basketball, Dan? I just do baseball and football.
Adam Azer
Okay. Do you like fantasy baseball? You're not very good at fantasy baseball?
Dan Schneier
A. I'm not very good at fantasy baseball because fantasy baseball requires an insane amount of attention and time, and then also every single time, even if I'm doing well in a fantasy baseball season, the minute training camp rolls around, I'm just totally inactive. And that's, like, the most important time of the year to be active in that. So, yeah, I'm horrible.
Jamie Eisenberg
That's the beauty of this league, which actually Adam created. It's actually named after Adam, is we. We ended so early.
Adam Azer
So I didn't create the league. I took over the league and then I changed the the dates to have the playoffs to the the season ends at the beginning of September.
Dan Schneier
That's a great way to play fantasy baseball. Even then I'm already checked out because I'm checked out by August.
Adam Azer
All right, question from oh this one might be from Eric first year dynasty league. After the draft we changed to super Flex Is Spencer Rattler is Spencer Rattler worth trading to get a third in this year's draft? So is Spencer Rattler worth trading for a third round pick and is Jackson Dart worth drafting at 1.6 first question.
Dan Schneier
Yes, I think he is worth trading. I don't really see a future for him in your super flex league. On the Saints is a starter anywhere. Even if he is he doesn't really have tools to be that much of a fantasy difference maker. I get rid of him now for a third before you have to cut him. As far as the second question goes, no I do not think Jackson Dart is worth the 106 in a soup even in a super flex league. To be fair I had similar answer to the panics question last year. I think we might think differently this year about what Michael Penix is worth given that that job is now handed to him. We that timeline was kind of fast forwarded so I don't want to rule it out just yet. I kind of have to see where Jackson Dart lands and what timeline I project for him but he doesn't for me look like a quarterback I would really invest a lot of capital in in a super flex league.
Jamie Eisenberg
I, I don't think you want to draft him at 106. There's just too much talent at other spots, you know to right invest in a player like that. But at 206, you know, depending on if that's your next pick and the Steelers draft him or the Giants draft him or a team that has a veteran that's not going to be there long term and you'll have a very similar situation to Penix where again the timeline was accelerated but you know, you knew, you knew you have to wait a little bit maybe a year, maybe half a year then then sure. I, I, I'm sort of torn on the, on the Rattler question simply because this could be a we're shutting down Derek Carr again because we only pay his injury guarantees and he sees some time especially if Kellen Moore likes what he sees there because this is going to be probably is not very good by the middle of the season, you know similar to last year just because they're still, you know, trying to rebuild and get out of all the cap hell that they were in. So you, you can make that deal now. But if you need somebody that could just maybe get a few starts like that could be the type of guy that, like Mason Rudolph's you threw a couple of games if he, you know, gets an opportunity to play. So not great, but can still get you some production. So just, just make sure you're shop them around a little bit because super flex leagues, quarterbacks, sometimes people get a little, a little crazy for it. You might get a little bit better, but it's not a bad deal.
Adam Azer
All right, this is from Scott. Listen to a recent Dynasty FFT episode in which the gang warned of the dangers of Tyrone Tracy Jr. And I was sold. However, behind Tracy I'm pretty thin at running back. I have Breeze Hall, Trey Benson and Isaac Arundo. Of the three that I just mentioned, is hall the only one worth keeping in ppr? So Breeze Hall, Trey Benson, Garendo.
Dan Schneier
I thought it was Dynasty.
Adam Azer
Me too.
Dan Schneier
I don't know, I, I don't know the keeping aspect. Oh, maybe he means instead of trading. And I like the idea of trying to trade running backs when you can in Dynasty, especially when they're, when they have a high scene, when they're, you know, have high value. That's how I play Dynasty. With that said, you probably don't want to leave yourself too thin out there and just have Breeze hall there. So I would probably make a play and, and hang on to one of them. So if you're looking to win now, you hang on to Tracy and you get rid of a Benson type maybe and see what the value you can get back for that. Though I would probably keep them both. I don't. Look, I understand the drawbacks with Tracy but to me at least he's on a team where the coach has shown over time that he is mostly running a one back system. With Barkley did that and for the most part with Tracy he did that last year, the exception of when he fumbled a little bit and a little bit down the stretch. So I like if you want to talk about scary situations, I don't really see why Chase Brown's situation is less scary than Chiron Tracy's from a playing time standpoint. Personally, the man is never Chase Brown. It's a big one for me. I think Chase Brown, I think the Chase Brown stuff is going to get really interesting this off season.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh, if they add other players then.
Dan Schneier
They wanted to last year until Moss got hurt. That was the plan.
Adam Azer
Yeah, but then he played so well. Tracy. In his last 13 games, Tracy was RB16 per game. He was, you know. Okay, he was only on pace. Yeah, he was only on pace for 235 carries. I'm surprised he was 16th per game, 44 catches and eight touchdowns. That's feels like a typo. I'm have to double check on that.
Jamie Eisenberg
But. So if it's not a dynasty league, then yes, you should be trying to, you should be keeping Tracy and not keeping the other two guys. If it's a dynasty league and you're trying to trade these guys, the, the first place to go is to the running backs that you have as the starters ahead of them. So the James Connor manager might want Trey Benson, the McCaffrey manager might want Garando. You know, there's clear paths to both those guys getting immense work because they're behind older injury prone guys that at least have shown in their history that they missed time at points during the season as McCaffrey showed us last year, you know, only playing four games. So you could get amazing production out of Garendo in that offense as we've seen. And, and Benson has the sim has a similar path if Conor does get hurt at any point during the season. But those two managers, the Connor manager and the McCaffrey manager may overpay for those guys if they're, you know, in a dynasty league looking to, you know, sort of handcuff those guys. So if you are trying to trade them and, and get the most value, that's the best place to look. But I think if it's a dynasty, like I'm going to hold on to these guys because you may have RB1 in San Francisco, which we saw Arundel was pretty good last year and Benson may get that opportunity this season.
Adam Azer
Okay. He was RB20 per game in his last 13 games. Tyrone Tracy. There's a YouTube poll up and it says who wins the tennis match part two.
Dan Schneier
Oh my God, this is embarrassing.
Jamie Eisenberg
Adam.
Dan Schneier
I mean, look, for your sake, I guess I'll be nice here just to be a good person. But dude, Jamie, when somebody loses 6,000, 260 and something, is it even worth considering and putting up to a poll who's going to win the next time? It wasn't like a close loss. This is like a 42, 7 blowout where I'm benching starters by the fourth quarter.
Adam Azer
You know, I believe I'm not mistaken. Let me take Oregon beat Ohio State in the regular season, right?
Dan Schneier
True.
Adam Azer
And then Ohio State beat The absolute crap out of them in the playoffs.
Dan Schneier
You have the rules reversed, though. It has to be. Ohio State beat the. The crap out of them. And then. It was close.
Adam Azer
All right, but, you know, bottom line is team one got blown out once and won the other one.
Dan Schneier
I mean, look, the fair. The best thing for you is that I literally haven't picked up a racket since we played.
Adam Azer
Right? And I had a tennis. I took a tennis lesson two days ago, so I did.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I will go into that match. But again, as the match gets closer, Adam, I'm gonna. I'm gonna try to play a little tennis.
Adam Azer
Well, that's the thing. You build it. This is what you did last year. You build it as. I will not pick up a racket until.
Dan Schneier
But I ended up only playing, what, two or three times, Right?
Adam Azer
Played. That's fine. You know what? Bring it on. I think you should come. I think we should play now. I don't even know why we should wait for.
Dan Schneier
I'll play you now.
Adam Azer
I think we should have an exhibition now so I can see how far. No, you're going to beat me. I voted for you, Adam.
Dan Schneier
I played you with a cracked racket.
Adam Azer
I voted for.
Dan Schneier
You literally had a crack down.
Adam Azer
No, you didn't. You demoed a rack.
Dan Schneier
I showed you that. You demoed a rack. It doesn't want to play. The demo. I didn't feel comfortable with the demo.
Adam Azer
All right, you know, you come. Come on over. We'll. We'll play. We'll get a court. We'll see where I'm at.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think I'm going to do better. I. I think. I think. Listen, you got to go to him. He's the one.
Adam Azer
I'll go to you.
Dan Schneier
Yeah. The home and home. The home and home.
Adam Azer
Yeah, But I live near the diner.
Dan Schneier
I know. I like that diner way too much. I gotta go back.
Jamie Eisenberg
Who had the terrible order? Was it Dan or was it you?
Dan Schneier
No, my order was amazing. It was just this gluttonous and really disgusting from a lot of standpoints, but amazing tasting. Adams was like, can I get some chicken steamed with brown rice and some broccoli and Hoba sauce?
Adam Azer
No, I got a chicken teriyaki bowl.
Dan Schneier
I always get that without the teriyaki and just.
Adam Azer
No, come on. All right, this is from Tom. Let's go to our Facebook questions. Tom has a good question on Facebook. If Ashton Genti goes to Las Vegas, where are we taking him in Redraft leagues?
Jamie Eisenberg
Round two, Vegas.
Dan Schneier
First round. Capital.
Jamie Eisenberg
Low line.
Dan Schneier
Not great, but not. Not terrible. Gino's gonna help that offense. I'm good with round two. I could honestly round one be talked into back end of round one. I get really hyped on players like that. His talent is. Is through the roof. I, I like him better as a prospect than Bijan even not as explosive and not as elusive, but a different kind of back that I think works a little bit better. Gets a little lower pad level and really good through contact.
Adam Azer
I would say I'm going to give you guys some running backs who were drafted as top 10 picks. Yeah, Bijan Robinson, pretty big bust in fantasy.
Dan Schneier
We took him where the first year around. Six overall. I think seven overall.
Adam Azer
Probably somewhere like that.
Dan Schneier
I think it was in that range for net was that 1.4 net.
Adam Azer
Hold on, I have to sneeze. Talk real quick. Say something about Leonard Fournette.
Dan Schneier
Leonard for that as a rookie took. He was bad as a rookie. I don't remember where he was.
Adam Azer
Not actually.
Dan Schneier
Oh no.
Adam Azer
Leonard Fournette. Leonard Fournette averaged 17.7-ppr fantasy points per game, which made him RB8 per game as a rookie. But he was only 2/10 of a point behind Melvin Gordon who was RB5. So he was RB5 per game and non PPR. He was RB8 per game in full PPR but very, very close to RB5 per game. He wasn't that good of a player. Only average 3.9 yards per carry, but he averaged over 23 touches per game. He scored 10 touchdowns in 13 games.
Dan Schneier
I do remember this.
Adam Azer
So he, I would say it was, you know, probably second round value. Ezekiel was bad as a rookie. McCaffrey was bad as a rookie. He. He caught a lot of balls, but he was in a timeshare.
Dan Schneier
Barkley was amazing as a rookie.
Adam Azer
The two guys who were amazing record breaking. The two guys who were amazing were Barkley and Zeke.
Dan Schneier
Okay.
Adam Azer
Zeke scored 16 touchdowns in 15 games.
Dan Schneier
Going over that track record. That wasn't so bad.
Adam Azer
No. And then they had like. Honestly, Naji Harris was. Was very good.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Azer
Because he had so much.
Dan Schneier
He wasn't top 10, but yeah, 74.
Adam Azer
He was. He was top 10. He was. He was top ten overall. Naji Harri, Russ was top four. He was. He was the number three running.
Dan Schneier
No, no, no, I'm sorry. I meant top 10 in the NFL draft. Sorry.
Adam Azer
Oh. Oh, no.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, yeah. I thought we were talking top 10 NFL draft running back.
Adam Azer
We were. So you have Barkley, Zeke, who are absolute studs. You had Fournette and. Oh, there's one more Fournette, who was. Who's pretty good. Todd Gurley. Oh, so Todd Gurley. This, by the way, is an ACL example that I never think of. Maybe the best one. He tore his ACL in November in college. Missed the first two games, had seven touches in Week 3. From Weeks 4 through 16 of his rookie year, Todd Gurley averaged 4.9 yards per carry, was on pace for 316 carries, 1,554 yards, 14 touchdowns, plus 28 catches, 17.3 PPR. Fantasy points per game. Studly. And yeah, he's a very good example too. And that was coming off a torn acl.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Azer
So the path to being, I'd say like a top eight running back is very clear for Genty. Wouldn't surprise any of us if he's top five, I would say.
Dan Schneier
And that's just over the. Of the running backs who were drafted inside the top 10. I think once you get outside of it, it gets a little stickier. Like, remember Clyde Edwards? Allaire was a mega fantasy boss.
Adam Azer
Yeah, yeah. Oh, for sure. You know, like Rashad Penny and.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Azer
All right, so. So you say second round, but that's a little bit vague. Like, would you take A.J. brown or. Or Ashton Genty on the Raiders?
Jamie Eisenberg
Genti.
Dan Schneier
I think I'm taking Genty. I. I might be going all the way into round one for him.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, I was thinking like top 15. So like right in the turn, so.
Adam Azer
And then we'll do one more question here before we take a break. At what point this from Mike Lawrence. At what point do we value NFL on field production more than draft capital? Does Bucky Irving's round four draft capital still matter? Does Isaiah Pacheco's seventh round draft capital still matter? What's the point where draft capital becomes irrelevant?
Jamie Eisenberg
So he has a good theory with these guys. You know, in terms of mostly the, the late round guys, not necessarily the day two running backs, but the late round guys. So the, the undrafted rookie free agents as well. So you think about James Robinson and the year he had in Jacksonville. Trying to think. The other examples that we've talked about. Pacheco is definitely one. There's been some more negative ones, though. So Heath's theory is when they change coaches, they're in trouble.
Adam Azer
Damien Pierce.
Jamie Eisenberg
Damien Pierce, another one. The, the coaching staff, when it stays the same, those guys tend to perform a little bit better or have a little bit more success. So I think when you look at it, you know, in the case of the two from last year, Bucky Irving got a new Offense coordinator. But this guy's on staff, so I think he's fine. Tracy, same coach. I think he's fine. You know, the, the two that were successful, that weren't high draft picks. Pacheco sort of proven this out. You know, I mean he got hurt last year, but before his injury he was on pace for such a monstrous season.
Dan Schneier
Right.
Jamie Eisenberg
And based on their moves this off season, he's still positioned to be the lead guy. You know, is, is he going to dominate touches, you know, when there's so many mouths to feed? Now that's the question. But I think in the case of, of Bucky Irving, this is why I'm still encouraged by him, is that this is the same head coach and guy in the building replacing Liam Cohen. So I think he still has the opportunity to be the, the main guy there.
Adam Azer
Yeah, it's interesting. I mean, Bucky Irving, day three pick, Chase Brown, day three pick, but we talked about this was Kyren Williams, right? And honestly, like Kyron has really benefited. He's a, he's a good player, but he's benefited a lot from having no competition. Did he have a great year last year? I mean, as a rusher, what did he average? 4 yards per carry? He's not like an explosive player and I think if he were, he would have been picked higher in the draft. I've always been a little dubious of Kyron Williams because he was drafted as a third down back. He was supposed to be the best third down back in the class. Then he got thrust into this big role, did really well with it against an extremely easy schedule. In 2023, in 2024, he was good. I think he's a very good running back at like, you know, getting five, six yards or, you know, he doesn't have a lot of negative plays. He almost never breaks off long runs and he's in a great offense and, and gets every touch. But yeah, I mean, I don't think he's the most talented running back and that still does matter a little bit to me. Like if, if Bijan Robinson were on the Rams, you know, he'd be hands down, like it wouldn't even be a question to be the number one. Yeah, exactly.
Dan Schneier
One thing to look at that for longevity as far as these day three picks goes is something like Kyron's case. Well, he's one of the best pass protecting running backs in the NFL. So what does that mean? It means they're not going to take him off the field and you're going to get the volume you need. So for some of these guys, that's what I would look at. Or you know, in some systems like the Bengals for example, they don't like Brown runs a lot of routes. Like they don't use him as much in that role. So it just kind of depends on the system. But if they can pass protect, they're on the field for all three down. They can, they've proven they can be on the field for all. I have a little more confidence in them long term.
Adam Azer
Does it matter for Bucky Irving? I mean, should we be thinking about that if we're considering him in the second round? Sometimes he makes it into the third round. I mean he was, Bucky Irving was so good. And when you look at a guy like Damian Pierce. Right. It wasn't even close. Damian Pierce had a nice rookie season. Bucky Irving's was so much better than Damian Pierce's. So I, I don't really care that he was a fourth round pick.
Jamie Eisenberg
So I think that this season is going to tell us how the NFL is viewing the position again. You know, there's yeah. Many mocks and I'll bring up one on our site. You know, I obviously talk about Pete Priscilla a lot. He is the most anti running back person you will find in the world and he has two running backs mocked in his first round when he usually mocks anyone for taking a running back in the first round. So he's, he's, he's Raiders and he's got Hampton going to the Broncos I.
Dan Schneier
Believe 21, two studs and that's just the top of the class.
Jamie Eisenberg
Those, those two, if they get drafted in round one tells you that the, the year that we just saw for free agent running backs and the, at least, you know, I don't want to say the rookie class because it was disappointing largely. But the, the free agent running backs and what they were able to accomplish and now that this wave of, you know, these awesome players, you know, that are starting to get phased out, you know, Kamara, 30, Henry 31, you know, Barkley 28, 29, McCaffrey, 28, 29, you know, the, that these teams are starting to, you know, look at, do they have to sort of restock their, their cupboard a little bit in terms of that position? And this class has so many talented players. So going back to that earlier question about 106 or 107 and 110, like you know, taking, you know, Jackson Darth there or whatever. The question, I'm sorry, the question was which, which players will be available like the two Ohio State guys, you know, the, the Iowa running back. You know, the. There's. There's going to be so many ops opportunities for these players to land in spots that could be great. And like, even. Why am I blanking on the kid? Johnson. What's his first? Johnson. After our, after our show yesterday, you know, the Titans had a visit with Caleb Johnson. Like, we're just sitting here saying Tony Paul was in a great spot.
Dan Schneier
Well, right.
Jamie Eisenberg
If they draft somebody like that, A, that bad for Pollard, B, bad for him.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
You know, and, and this is the thing that we're gonna have to sort of, you know, parse through of who ended up in some really crappy situations early. You know, to tie in Kyron Williams. We thought Blake Corum, okay, maybe this is the guy that's going to challenge Kyron Williams after he didn't get challenged in 2023. Never happened. Trey Benson, we thought, okay, this is the second best running back in this class behind Jonathan Brooks, by the way. Didn't get an opportunity, you know, because James Connor stayed healthy. So there's going to be situations that one of these, two of these, five of these, there's so many good ones end up in time shares where, okay, injury happens. They're studs.
Dan Schneier
Right.
Jamie Eisenberg
And you're gonna happen. You know, Ravens may drive somebody. Okay, you know me. Derek Henry's 31 years old. He may not.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
Season guy may never see the field because Henry's just so good.
Adam Azer
All right, let's take a break and we got a question about who should be RB1. Why is Bijan ranked ahead of Saquon and Gibbs in most early rankings? It's a good question from Daniel. We'll get to that after this. All right, so we're back here. Thanks, everybody, for your questions. Thanks for joining our Facebook group. Please do that. Also, if you're watching on YouTube, feel free to hit that like button or subscribe or both. All right, so Daniel says, how is Bijan ranked above Saquon and Gibbs on most early rankings? And I'm going to tell you this. If Bijan Robinson ends up as RB1 in average draft position. Let me see the best way to phrase this. He will have scored the average. He will have averaged the fewest PPR fantasy points per game in the previous year for RB1 in ADP in at least eight years. In other words, most of the time, these guys are coming off bigger, better seasons than the 19.9 PPR fantasy points that Bijan averaged last year. But I have him as RB1. I know. Jamie. Does Dan. Do you?
Dan Schneier
I do not have him as RB1.
Adam Azer
All right, Jamie, why do you have Bijan as RB1?
Jamie Eisenberg
Who was the previous guy? Was it Jonathan Taylor?
Adam Azer
Actually, it was Christian McCaffrey in 2023 averaged 20.6 fantasy points per game, and then he was the number one pick in 2024. I'm trying to remember. So that was like the year he got traded, right?
Jamie Eisenberg
He got trade. Yes.
Adam Azer
Yeah. So he didn't have his incredible year in 2023, but he was RB1 in ADP in 2024, and he rewarded that with a huge season.
Jamie Eisenberg
So for me, I split up.
Dan Schneier
You're doing 2022, 2023. I'm sorry, go ahead.
Adam Azer
Oh.
Dan Schneier
Oh, yeah.
Adam Azer
Okay. In 2020. Right. Okay. In 2022, McCaffrey averaged 20.6 fantasy points per game. He was then RB1 in ADP in 2023. And he. And he rewarded fantasy managers with a huge year.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yes, I knew what you're saying.
Dan Schneier
Sorry.
Jamie Eisenberg
No, Bijan season, he got split up in two parts. You know, the first half of the season, he was looking like not a bust, but not obviously the elite level talent that we were hoping for. And then all of a sudden, the Falcons realized we have this, you know, amazing talent. We got to give him more work and his workload increased, his touchdowns increased. Everything was just better for him. And I don't have the numbers in front of me. But, you know, he was basically RB1 or in the conversation for that point of the season on. That's the player I'm expecting to see.
Adam Azer
So I have the numbers. You want the numbers?
Jamie Eisenberg
Yes, please.
Adam Azer
All right. First five games for Bijan, he was the number 24 running back per game. Last 12 games, he was the number one running back per game. He was on pace for 336 carries and 61 catches. Big shift was that. Atlanta in those first five games, they were 28th in run rate. In their last 12 games, they were fourth in run rate. The problem is he still in that stretch, he only had about 68% of the team's carries. That's still a pretty low number. Algier. Like for example, in those last 12 games when Bijan's on pace for 36, 336 carries, Algiers on pace for 147. So I just somehow doubt they're going to be able to run the ball that much. I mean, they ran a lot of plays last year, so if that comes, if they don't run the ball as much and he's still getting 68% of the carries, that's not enough. What I'm hoping for is less Algeria and Algeria is good, but come on, like less Algeria, we don't need that. Give him 75% of the running back carries like, like Barkley had. But yeah, he was the number one running back in those last 12 games. And by the way, Jamie, Dan, he had in his first 28 games of his career, Bijan Robinson had three games with 20 or more carries. In his last six games, he had 22 or more carries five times. So that's what, that's what you're hoping carries over.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think it will. You know, again, you're talking about a guy that's well in his prime, you know, an elite level talent, elite level prospect. I just expect that to continue. So I actually have Gibbs 2 and Barkley 3, which I know is probably low compared to most. I think a lot of people are gonna have Barkley one and I get it. You know, just the season that he had the offensive line, everything is, is set up for him to hopefully replicate it to some degree. I just look again, age, track record of the workload plus 2000 yard rushers, like it just historically is not great for him, which is why I'm concerned about Barkley. So he'll, he'll probably be somebody like, I mean, I do so many leagues, I try to take as many players as possible. Just to have some shares of everyone, but he will not be in a lot of my fantasy teams.
Adam Azer
So who's RB1 for you, Dan?
Dan Schneier
It's Barkley. I look at it like some of those touchdowns that went to Hertz could easily go to Barkley and that could kind of make up for what we might lack in efficiency touches things of that nature. It's still everything that Jamie said. Everything's there. And I understand historically it's a bet that you might not want to make, but I'm not huge on those historic bets. I mean, last year we, we could applied that logic for Derrick Henry and for Barkley and it really backfired. Eric Henry, a player was much higher on and I just think when you have outlier freaks like Barkley and Henry, who there's not going to be many athletes like him in the next 10 years and the 10 years before this. I'm willing to bet on an outlier, but where I really break consensus. My RB too.
Adam Azer
Oh, who is it?
Dan Schneier
It's Christian McCaffrey.
Adam Azer
Oh, okay.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I mean we're just one year removed from McCaffrey being an absolute cheat code in fantasy. And I know he's got injured outside the injury and I guess the age. I can't really see any reason why he wouldn't do it again. Anyone can get injured at any time in the NFL.
Adam Azer
I went to his player page the other day. I didn't realize. Maybe I didn't. I just forgot, which probably I forget everything. Christian McCaffrey said he may have been able to play if they had made the playoffs.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I saw that too.
Adam Azer
And it's like I think we're treating him a little unfairly. I think he's probably fine. I mean he's older and obviously, but.
Dan Schneier
Kyle Shanahan's shown 0 sign when McCaffrey plays of trying to limit his workload or work in other backs or have a multi back system. He understands that when McCaffrey is in the lineup, he has to have him on the field because of the advantage it gives them in the passing game and from a number standpoint, from Nexus own standpoint. So I think that will continue until he gets hurt or if he gets hurt. And I'm just not as convinced as others that we can predict injuries and that injuries are these things that we can just bank on and lean on.
Jamie Eisenberg
I think the, the NFL draft will be telling given this class. They always draft a running back.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
It's very funny how the conversations must go between Kyle Shanahan and John lynch where? I mean, this guy, Tyrion Davis Price. John, we got to get him.
Dan Schneier
He's gonna be.
Jamie Eisenberg
He's going to be an absolute stud. Trey Sermon. You have no idea what Tracy will do for us. We have to go get him.
Dan Schneier
He trades up for them a lot, too.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, I mean, you know, there's. There's a significant track record here, but they did just get rid of a running back who was very successful for them last year. So barring a huge investment, knowing that McCaffrey at his age, what happened to him last year, you know, maybe getting. And look, Garendo's not young or averse to injuries as himself. There's. There's a situation here where we could be looking at the next 49ers guy coming into this class. And, you know, I'm pretty sure they have a lot of compensatory picks. All the guys they lost. So they could. They could throw some draft capital at that position. May take two guys.
Adam Azer
Comment from the chat. Dan's house is so nice. Lol.
Dan Schneier
I wish I lived in this house.
Adam Azer
That's a very nice fake background. You want to hear a funny story real quick? I think it's pretty funny. Yes, Jamie, you might find it funnier since you've met my dad, who's a little grumpy sometimes. There's this group texts of me, my brother, my sister, my mom, my dad, and my brother's wife. And they sent these pictures of my niece, who's like 2 years old at soccer practice at school. And everybody's, oh, she's so cute. This and that, like, putting hard emojis. My dad writes, please delete me.
Dan Schneier
What?
Adam Azer
Are you serious? He does not want to be on this thread.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh, my God.
Adam Azer
Well, he doesn't know. He doesn't know how to, like, silence a group chat, you know? So he's. He's working right now. He's where he's getting all these texts, and he says, please.
Dan Schneier
Unreal, dude. His chad's phone's blowing up with just nice pictures of his family. And he's like, that's it. Get me out of here.
Adam Azer
That's such a classic.
Jamie Eisenberg
Do you ever. The story when I bought the couch from Adams.
Dan Schneier
Oh, no, that's. I can imagine.
Jamie Eisenberg
So when Adam was moving to New York, he was selling his furniture, and we had just bought our house. So we was looking for some cheap furniture at the time.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Jamie Eisenberg
And so I'll buy a couch. So he had moved it to his parents house. The furniture to his parents house. She was like, yeah, it's on my parents house, you have to get it from there. So I go to his parents house with my brother in law, knock on the door, dad comes to the door, I said oh hey Mr. Azer, how are you? You know Jamie, work with your, your son Adam here to get the couch. Doesn't say a word.
Adam Azer
That can't be.
Dan Schneier
I swear he doesn't say anything.
Adam Azer
Like he gave the equ of please delete me.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah, she was so nice. I was like, what, what is happening here?
Adam Azer
She talks, she does all the talking for him. You don't disturb my dad during work. I called him during work a couple Fridays ago and he's like, you're calling me at 4 o'clock on a Friday? He goes, are you senile?
Dan Schneier
I heard a great story on a.
Adam Azer
Friday because the market's closing, so.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh my God, your dad is wild.
Dan Schneier
Sounds crazy, man.
Jamie Eisenberg
Adam and I have a mutual friend that Adam's parents used to drive to school. Elementary school. And how many was it? Three of you? The two of you Nicole and who in the car?
Adam Azer
Probably her brother.
Jamie Eisenberg
Okay, so driving to school, he forgot to take them to school and none of the kids said at work.
Adam Azer
He drove us right to work. All right, here's a question from Kelly. Kelly Schweihardt, what are your thoughts on adding 1/10 of a point per first down? It says 0.1 points per first down. Seems to be, that's not really a lot but seems to be becoming more popular scoring item. I want to know your, your opinions.
Dan Schneier
I've heard of it. I've never actually played in a. Actually besides maybe one year in Scott Fishbowl he did it but I haven't really played into. I don't have too much experience at the point for first down.
Jamie Eisenberg
He liked more scoring.
Adam Azer
I look, I don't like it at all because it's disproportionate for running back. Sixteen of the top 19 in first downs gained last year were running backs. And then if you. And actually that's not including quarterbacks like I don't know where Lamar Jackson for example.
Dan Schneier
Right.
Adam Azer
Obviously you don't include passing first downs but if Lamar Jackson runs for like come on, you're going to make Lamar Jackson that much more valuable. So I don't really like it if you replaced PPR with point per first down. I think you know, or maybe I.
Jamie Eisenberg
Don'T know, I better with half PPR if you just want to add some more.
Adam Azer
Yeah, I, I don't want to do it but the thing with me Is like I, I find myself, I don't like to do new things and then I try them and I'm fine with them. So you, you probably would be fine with. With point for first down to 0.1. Point for first down is not really that much like Derrick Henry, I think led the NFL with about 105 first downs, receiving and rushing. So 0.1. I mean that's 10, 10 and a half points throughout the year. That's not really doing anything for your league. All right, this is from Jim. Who are some late round tight end options. None of this eighth round garbage. If I don't get a great one, I'm the last guy in my league drafting a tight end. How about a tight end outside the top 15 that could finish top six?
Jamie Eisenberg
It's going to depend, I think what kind of rank list you look at because like that's sort of Dalton Kincaid range for me right now, like 12, 13, 14. I think you're looking at the group of Cole Comet, Jake Ferguson, maybe Tucker Craft slips to this range. The rookies will probably be in this range just because rookie tight ends don't usually have that great of a track record. So depending on where they land, they could be ranked higher than this, but they'll be sort of, you know, high end, tight end, twos. Depending how far John Smith falls, he could be in this range. I think he'll go ahead of that though.
Dan Schneier
So I got an oldie but a goodie. I like the fit of Evan Ingram with Sean Payton.
Adam Azer
He won't be a top.
Dan Schneier
Yeah, I think he goes higher. Okay.
Jamie Eisenberg
When you said oldie, I was going to say Zach Ertz again just because. Yeah, it stays there and you know, was, was pretty productive.
Adam Azer
Can I throw out a name? Oldie, but goodie only. But baddie. Kyle Pitts.
Dan Schneier
Yeah. I mean, look, some of us will never be able to quit Kyle Pitts. I may be one of them, but this may be finally the year I can get out of there.
Adam Azer
Well, but I would take him as tight end. 15.
Dan Schneier
I like Theo Johnson. I'll throw that out there. I mean, it's probably unlikely, but at least he showed off crazy talent at the end before he got hurt.
Adam Azer
I prefer to Tavian Sanders because he doesn't have, he doesn't have Malik neighbors to contend with.
Dan Schneier
But Johnson will play a lot of the like all the snaps. I'm not sold on Sanders. He's not the same kind of tight end.
Adam Azer
Oh, Isaiah, likely Isaiah, he's always a good one.
Dan Schneier
If Andrews gets hurt and Kate Otten.
Adam Azer
Would be really good if. If someone got hurt, I think. Well, I don't know about really good. He was really good when both of those guys were hurt.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Azer
But, yeah, likely. Likely he's gonna get draf. I think, in a lot of leagues.
Dan Schneier
You know, I might throw in there because I like him. I've always liked his talent. I just don't think the situation's ever been great for him at quarterback. I could throw in their PAT for Ironmouth. If Aaron Rodgers signs with the Steelers, that's not bad.
Adam Azer
I don't know how. How he would do it unless they traded Pickens with Met. With Metcalf and Pickens there, I don't know that.
Dan Schneier
I just think Rogers loves to throw the tight ends, but hit the seam.
Jamie Eisenberg
Oh. You know who could be good now is Tyler Conklin.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Azer
Maybe Chargers. Yeah, but it's hard to see him. Yeah.
Dan Schneier
You know what? Yeah, why not? Well, this lead was at one point, like a top 12 for us.
Adam Azer
Yeah, but top six was the question. I don't know.
Dan Schneier
Oh, stop at tight end. You don't. I mean, someone will break into the top six.
Adam Azer
Oh, the fantasy cops are interrupting. Dan.
Dan Schneier
I got two stories at the end, too.
Adam Azer
Okay, great. Fantasy cops comes from slow. Rob, 27. He says Dear John. Trey, Mike, and Paige.
Dan Schneier
Trey, Mike, and Paige, this is Jimmy Page. Trey Anastasio, this is Fish. Oh, I was thinking just guitarists.
Adam Azer
Well, it would have said Jimmy, not Paige. You're really not. You're just not that good at this anyway. All right. My best friend started a keeper league over 10 years ago. The league is also comprised of guys we've been friends with for 15 to 20 plus years. The keeper rules for Dave Richard are three keepers. Maximum for three years. Oh, no. Low battery on my computer. What? Okay. Whew. That's close. Anyway, I read this whole thing. The. The preamble here is not all that important. The commissioner doesn't like tanking. So cut to this year's draft. The commissioner declared there would be no tanking. Tanking is not allowed in this league. Four weeks later, someone was.04 and started tanking. Then another guy started tanking from second place. The commissioner allowed all of this to happen? Of course. I just feel like the rules are the rules. They cannot be arbitrary. And there has to be some kind of vote on rule changes. That's the other thing. The commissioner is just doing these unilateral rule changes again. The commissioner is my best friend of 25 plus years. I don't want to quit the League. But I feel like I have to do something to make it more fair. What say the fantasy cops? So what do you do when your commissioner is the best. Your best friend for 25 plus years and he's not really doing that great of a job as the commissioner?
Jamie Eisenberg
I mean, if he's your best friend, it should be an easy conversation about, hey, let's. Let's fix this. And how can we fix it? Like, if your friendship is that strong, nobody should get offended by you saying something about how he's running the league.
Dan Schneier
Great. Yeah. And you could be co. Commissioner.
Adam Azer
Yeah, I agree. I think you guys, you just have to have, like, an honest conversation. Maybe try fantasy couples therapy. That should work for you and he. Yeah. All right. Thank you for your candidate fantasy cop submission. Let's. Do we have. Oh, I guess we should do. Yeah, we should do some chat questions. Man, why is every show so long? All right, Dan, tell us your stories.
Dan Schneier
Two quick travel stories. Traveled a bunch a month ago, went to the FSGA and accepted an award for fantasy football today. So that was fun and that was cool. But part of these travels is you fly on a plane and, you know, first incident that happened.
Adam Azer
Back up what you try. You do what now?
Jamie Eisenberg
To travel, you gotta fly on a.
Dan Schneier
Plane and one incident. First incident on the plane. I'm sitting there, we're getting ready to take off, and as this. As the flight attendant is coming down the aisle. Nice, nice lady, older lady. She. She must have not liked the way that I had my seatbelt on.
Adam Azer
What?
Dan Schneier
Yeah, it must have been considered by her to be too loose. Without saying a word, without saying anything to me. Now, I had the seatbelt on. It was strapped in, but it wasn't like, tightened up. I don't. I don't wear it tightened up personally on a plane. I don't find that comfortable. Without saying a word as she's cruising down the aisle telling people, you know, Tracy Dub, whatever I had her.
Jamie Eisenberg
I was.
Dan Schneier
I wasn't compliant with every other rule that they have, but apparently she didn't like the seat belt and how tight it was or how lack of. Or how the opposite was. She reached down and tightened the seatbelt for me without saying a word. It was insane all the way. Pained it all the way. I was just left there speechless. So that happened.
Adam Azer
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
Then we get down. There's a little turbulence on the flight. This thing. I. I'm really grumpy when it comes to this.
Adam Azer
Oh, I know what you're gonna say here.
Dan Schneier
You know what I'm gonna say there's turbulence on. I don't enjoy this. Oh, it lands. Clap, clap, clap. We're clapping. It landed. Oh, my God. Huge round of applause.
Jamie Eisenberg
Whatever.
Dan Schneier
I can get over that. But then this is what really bothers me on a plane. Nothing bothers me more when the plane lands and you're in the back. Because I'm not ever buying the seats up front. I'm buying the cheaper seats in the back. I'm in, like, the 30s.
Jamie Eisenberg
You're a Costanza.
Adam Azer
Yeah. Not only. Look at this comment from. From the chat. She did. That's my move.
Dan Schneier
It's my move. So I'm in the back, and the plane just landed. We are all the way in the back. The people who get right up from their seats.
Adam Azer
Oh, yeah.
Dan Schneier
Jam into the aisle. So now I have somebody from, like, four rows behind, got all his stuff. He's walking in. He's like, all the way as far up as he can get, right? Like. So he's passed, like, all these seats above me. And then his wife is doing it. And then I see other people starting to try to do this. So I'm just like, that's it. And I just put my arm like this across the road to the back of the other.
Adam Azer
You barricaded it.
Dan Schneier
Barricaded it out. I wasn't letting it happen anymore because it's annoying, dude. Like, everybody wants to get off the plane.
Adam Azer
Yeah.
Dan Schneier
Wait for the people in front of you to deboard. You don't. You don't. It's not your world. We're not just living in your world where you can just jam up in front of everybody and run. Look, if you're connecting flight, that's one thing, but I could just.
Adam Azer
It doesn't matter. He's not going anywhere. Like, they're not going anywhere.
Dan Schneier
People who had connecting flights anyway, they were just the people who think that's their world. We're all just living in it.
Adam Azer
Who takes a connecting flight to Vegas, too. Like, that's your destination. But no, you're not. You're not going anywhere.
Dan Schneier
Going anywhere.
Adam Azer
You're at the mercy of. Of the 30 rows ahead of you. You just chill out. Keep sitting.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Azer
Relax. Send some text message.
Dan Schneier
So that was one. And then the other thing was in Vegas, we went out with a few CBS Sports employees one night after one of the conference days, and we were downtown at Circus. So I don't know if you guys know, but Fremont street downtown, really fun experience. Crazy. And I went out with Chilinsky and a few of the other People who work with the company. And we're passing something called the Heart Attack Grill. Have you guys heard of the Heart Attack Grill?
Adam Azer
No.
Dan Schneier
In Vegas. So there's a big sign on the Heart Attack Grill that says if you're over £350, you get to eat for free. And they have a huge, massive scale in front of the restaurant. So I stoop. I was maybe a little. We had a few cocktails that night, and I went up to the scale. And she looks, why would you ever go on that scale? I pop on that scale. Adam and Jamie, stunned to see it. 191. I've never seen a number anywhere near that. I believe that they juice up the scales. I think there's something wrong with the scales. And I've since taken out a defamation lawsuit against the.
Adam Azer
Wait a second. Wait a second. You think the. The restaurant that's going to give away free food if you hit a certain weight is juicing up the scale?
Dan Schneier
They're juicing up.
Adam Azer
I think you're close to 200.
Dan Schneier
Never even been over 185 in my life.
Adam Azer
I think you're close to 200.
Dan Schneier
I've never even been over 185. And it said 191. So I, you know, and I'm gonna.
Adam Azer
Lose to you, and you're gonna beat me in tennis.
Dan Schneier
I'll beat you. Even if I'm gonna be wheezing 30 pounds, I'll beat you. If I can't move, I'll beat you in that sport.
Adam Azer
We noticed that you look pretty ripped when you were accepting the award.
Dan Schneier
Apparently not according to the Heart Attack Grill.
Adam Azer
Well, maybe it's muscle.
Dan Schneier
I, I, we can. We can go with that.
Adam Azer
You have a wonderful golfer's body, dad.
Dan Schneier
And that's not good for golf either.
Adam Azer
So what are you gonna do about this? You're gonna diet or you're just gonna accept you're just gonna think I have.
Dan Schneier
Since died a little bit?
Jamie Eisenberg
Not really.
Dan Schneier
I've never been on a diet in my life, but I just have not eaten as much sugar lately, which has helped a lot.
Adam Azer
Oh, yeah, that will definitely help. God, I got these Girl Scout cookies that I'm just.
Dan Schneier
Oh, the girl Scouts are the worst.
Adam Azer
We bought so many. About three boxes of girl Scout, and.
Dan Schneier
Then you just open a box and you just crush them.
Adam Azer
Well, no, I eat like one a day, but even that's too much.
Dan Schneier
Oh, that's discipline. That is a good discipline, honestly.
Adam Azer
All right, any questions from the chat? We got a few minutes left. Yes, it is the Dan has or Jamie has to go. Thank you. Jamie.
Dan Schneier
Jamie. Opening day. Let's go, Mets.
Adam Azer
You gonna be a real Mets fan this week or this week? I mean, this year?
Jamie Eisenberg
No.
Dan Schneier
Possibly? Doubtful.
Adam Azer
I don't see any questions in the chat.
Dan Schneier
Okay.
Adam Azer
So we can go. Oh, I'll tell you something. I know you're not gonna like this, and I'll bring this up on another episode because I know by this point we don't have our full audience. So you won't watch the Simpsons even though I told you an episode to watch? You should watch Cape Fear.
Dan Schneier
Maybe I will. What?
Jamie Eisenberg
Is it streaming on something?
Dan Schneier
What?
Adam Azer
Disney plus? Yeah.
Dan Schneier
Okay.
Adam Azer
Cape Fear. I think it's like the first episode of season three or something.
Dan Schneier
Go on.
Adam Azer
I've been watching a little Seinfeld on Netflix. Watching season four, Season five. Yeah, it's not that good. Oh, like, it's not as good as I remember it. It's a little painful. It's a little painful.
Dan Schneier
This take is so bad. I can't even entertain.
Adam Azer
Like, I mean, I, I. When I was young, I thought these were so funny.
Dan Schneier
I just watched the episode, watch it all the time. It's still so funny.
Adam Azer
I'm a little disappointed. I think it takes. Season four is like. I think it takes at least five seasons before it gets really good.
Dan Schneier
I. I can't entertain this.
Adam Azer
Yeah. And. And Cape Fear is a great episode of. Of the Simpsons. It's one of my favorites.
Dan Schneier
Check that one out.
Adam Azer
All right, here's a question from Brooks. If you're a contender, are you trading Christian McCaffrey now or riding him into the sunset?
Dan Schneier
Three to three, peat, champ. Ride him into the sunset.
Adam Azer
Schaefer's killing me for my Seinfeld take. I'm just telling you, like I would have said, oh, Seinfeld, amazing show. Go watch. Go watch season four. Tell me that it's not a little bit painful. No.
Dan Schneier
I don't know. I'd have to look at the individual episodes in season four, but I could just probably. Let me see something. I mean, we don't have time for this, but I would love to see the episodes now.
Adam Azer
We don't have time to see if I remember. We have to go. Thank you, everybody.
Dan Schneier
It starts with the trip. It's a great episode one and two.
Adam Azer
No, I wasn't enjoying it.
Jamie Eisenberg
The bubble Boy.
Adam Azer
That's season four or five.
Dan Schneier
Four.
Jamie Eisenberg
Yeah.
Adam Azer
Bubble boy was one of my favorite episodes back in the day.
Dan Schneier
It's the whole thing with Schaefer's gonna.
Adam Azer
Come on to argue with me.
Dan Schneier
George trying to get on the NBC pilot. The show.
Adam Azer
You're muted. No, I was just gonna say Seinfeld actually gets better when Larry David departs the show.
Dan Schneier
That's another.
Adam Azer
I think it's. It's like season six or something. After that, like, it's so much better. Is that right? I didn't. I didn't know that. He did depart the show. Yeah, he left and he just stayed as the George Steinbrenner character and then his other cameos that he had. That is so interesting.
Dan Schneier
Yeah.
Adam Azer
I don't know. I don't remember exactly what season it is that he leaves, but it gets better. Okay. All right. All right, Well, I gotta go, and Dan will, you and I are doing FFT Express, so we'll talk to you all there. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend, everybody. See ya. Paramount Podcasts Let the bodies hit the.
Jamie Eisenberg
Think about how screwed up we would.
Adam Azer
Be if we had survived a plane crash only to end up eating each other. The only way to truly be safe is to be the only.
Dan Schneier
Only one left. You really are insane. Yellow Jacket's new season now streaming on.
Jamie Eisenberg
The Paramount plus with Showtime plan.

Email from Jim
Jim is on the hunt for reliable late-round tight end (TE) options that can outperform their draft position.
The conversation emphasizes the importance of scouting TE depth and targeting those with favorable team situations or emerging roles.
Question from Daniel
Daniel questions why Bijan Robinson is often ranked above Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey in early rankings, despite Bijan's slightly lower average PPR points in the previous year.
Adam Aizer (43:54): "He will have averaged the fewest PPR fantasy points per game in the previous year for RB1 in ADP in at least eight years."
Jamie Eisenberg (46:13): "I split up... he's in the conversation for that point of the season."
Dan Schneier (49:00): "It's Barkley. ... Christian McCaffrey as RB2."

Adam Aizer (40:43): Highlights Irving's performance relative to draft capital, questioning the weight given to his fourth-round pick.
The discussion centers on determining when a player's current production should overshadow their draft position, considering factors like coaching changes, offensive schemes, and individual growth.
Throughout the episode, the hosts share personal stories, such as Dan Schneier's amusing experiences while traveling and interactions with family. These segments add a relatable and entertaining layer to the podcast, fostering a sense of community among listeners.
Jamie Eisenberg (09:25): "Devonte Smith as a very good number three receiver that has the chance to pop certain weeks."
Dan Schneier (49:00): "It's Barkley. ... Christian McCaffrey as RB2."
Adam Aizer (43:54): "He will have averaged the fewest PPR fantasy points per game in the previous year for RB1 in ADP in at least eight years."
Bijan Robinson's Potential: Despite a modest PPR average, Bijan's increasing role and team’s evolving run strategy position him as a top RB1 contender.
Mid-Round Gems: Players like Xavier Worthy and Christian Kirk offer balance between safety and upside, making them valuable additions in mid-round selections.
Strategic Keeper Decisions: Balancing current performance with future potential is crucial, especially in keeper and dynasty leagues.
Evaluating TE Depth: Late-round tight end strategies should focus on players with emerging roles and favorable team contexts.
Draft Capital Considerations: While draft position offers a reference point, on-field performance metrics and team dynamics should guide final decisions.
Overall, the episode provides comprehensive insights into optimizing fantasy football strategies, emphasizing informed decision-making based on player performance trends and league-specific nuances.
