We are brought to you by BetMGM. Make it legendary. Make it healthy for week seven. Everybody's hurt in the NFL. A lot of wide receivers dealing with injuries. Gonna go through our rankings and tell you who's good to play, who's not good to play, who's healthy. We'll hopefully get some updates from some practice reports, but a lot of injuries that fantasy managers and NFL teams are dealing with. And we have two teams on a bye in Buffalo and Baltimore. So you don't have a lot of star players available to you to set your lineups. Let's start with the quarterbacks. We'll say the rankings that matter to you, the list 1 through 12, and get some of the obvious plays. And then as we get probably, I don't know, like quarterback five after that, it's like, okay, maybe do I trust this guy? Do I not trust this guy?
B
I don't know. I think Quarterback 5, Quarterback 6, Quarterback 7 are pretty obvious plays this week.
A
It's kind of basically through seven, right? So we got Mahomes all the way through Jalen Hurts. We kind of like those guys a.
B
Little longer than that. Number nine.
A
I mean, top nine after that, you know. Oh, I'm sorry. Jalen Hurts is number nine. I just learned how to count. Yeah. So after Jalen Hurts, it kind of gets a little bit of a. A struggle for who do we love? Starting with Jordan Love or who do we actually like? And I'll ask you the question I asked you guys, as always, that we could show the other list as well, 13 through 24. Who was the most difficult player for you to rank at this position? So, Dave, I'll start with you. Who did you struggle with when it came to setting your rank?
B
I struggled with a lot of quarterbacks, but the one that I went back and forth on the most was Sam Darnold. And it's because he's played well. But I definitely respect this Texans defense. I when I go back and watch them, I thought that they were better against the run than the past. I also look at who they played they took on in their last two games. Cooper Rush, Cam Ward. Those are easy matchups. Those are layups for them. And I think this is a definite step up coming off the bye, playing in Seattle, tough place to play. And I think Darnold has earned the benefit of the doubt. So I like him, I don't love him, but I don't love a lot of quarterbacks this week. So he's in my top 10 kind of by default.
C
You look at those three guys on the screen, Darnold, Jones, Fields, and I think that's kind of the mystery box. Well, Dave's the only guy on the screen right now. Now I'm the guy on the screen.
B
No mystery with you, Heath.
C
Daniel Jones has again, like Darnold, played so well and the Colts have done such a great job of putting him in a position to succeed. Fewest sacks in the NFL. They're designing a great offense, getting guys open, but he's on the road. He hasn't been good on the road yet. His yardage production is not QB starter territory. I think 212 passing yards each of the last two games. He either runs for one yard or 20. It's just can he get two or three touchdowns? And I just don't feel great about it on the road this week. So I'm going to sit Daniel Jones, but it is really difficult and I don't really like it.
A
I'll circle back to Sam Darnold in a minute because he's a quarterback. I want to sit. We'll circle back to Daniel Jones as well. He's a quarterback you want to sit. But for me it's Justin Fields now. I think there's a chance he could still play well despite not having Garrett Wilson. And we talk about this fun way to make things work in our favor. We call it Azer Static. So if you take Away you look at Justin Fields, got three great games so far this season and you take away the production for Garrett Wilson in those three games, it's basically 10 fantasy points for Justin Fields in every game. 10, 10 and nine. If you do that, he's still averaging 20 fantasy points per game, which is a nice thing to do. And that's not accounting for any replacement production that he would get from whoever is going to catch passes. The Panthers stink. The only quarterback that has failed to have a great game against the Panthers for the most part has been Michael Penix. So there's an opportunity here for Fields to still play. Well, I'm on an island here. SportsLine's on even different island because they have him at 6 but without Garrett Wilson. I still think Justin Fields is a top 10 quarterback because of what he'll do with his legs. When he's been at his best, he's been running. And two quarterbacks so far this season that have had good games against the Panthers, 3.4 or more fantasy points with just their rushing totals alone. So can he get you to 16 fantasy points with his arm? I think he'll be about four or five points with his legs. 40 plus rushing guards with his legs. Maybe touchdown. I still think he's going to be an okay start, but again, I know I'm out there a little bit in terms of how I feel about Justin Fields. Let's talk about some quarterbacks that we're starting and sitting. So Heath, speaking of love you like Jordan love you think he's going to do well in this matchup against Arizona?
C
Yeah, he's another guy who's actually played really well so far this year. It's just he's ended up in a lot of games where he throws 22 passes and it doesn't turn into production. But if you look at the yards per attempt, you look at his EPA per drop back, he is producing like the good quarterback he was a couple years ago. And not what we saw last year. The one thing we've seen against Arizona is that quarterbacks throw the ball a lot. 39 pass attempts per game against them. And some of that is because There was a 55 attempt game early in the year. Some of that it's just guys throwing more when they face the Cardinals. I do think we'll see a few more pass attempts for love in this game. And he's one of those guys that's still in my top 10 that I feel good about starting. Not part of the big blob after.
A
He lit them up in week two or week three last year when he was coming back from the first knee injury that he suffered in Brazil. So did have a 20 plus point per game against this defense. So hopefully that carries over to this week as well. Dave, you're starting Matthew Stafford, which is interesting because he does not, at least the expectation does not have Puka Nakua for this week's game in London.
B
It has a lot to do with the matchup and I like the other receivers that the Rams have. They've got Devonta Adams, they've got Jordan Whittington, they've got Tutu Atwell, that's going to be the.
A
The downfield guy.
B
I hope they have 2, 2 atwell. If they don't have 2, 2 at. Well, that actually might make me change my opinion on Stafford just a little bit. They also have their tight ends and they have their running backs who haven't been doing well. Jacksonville's been pretty good against the run. I know they're not going to have Devin Lloyd. I actually think that's not going to matter. I think Jacksonville's run defense is still going to be really good. It's their past defense that hasn't been good. We've seen quarterbacks put up at least 21 or more fantasy points each of the last three games. For the last five, the only two quarterbacks that Jacksonville's done well against, C.J. stroud, and that was back when Stroud wasn't playing well, and Bryce Young. So I like the opportunity for Matthew Stafford to find a couple of touchdowns, maybe get close to 250 yards on top of it.
A
My only concern is, and again, you mentioned Devonte Adams. That's a big, big part of this. So hopefully Adams comes through. But last year, five games without Puka Nakua, he was 14.8 fantasy points or less in every start. And then we saw last week's game. Puka leaves the game. Baltimore's defense was abysmal and he does not play well without Puka on the field. So anytime you see a receiver of his caliber not there, it makes me very nervous. So I don't know if Stafford's gonna have a big game, but I hope that you're right.
B
It's interesting though, because Justin Fields isn't gonna have Garrett Wilson and you're nervous about Justin Fields and you didn't. Well, you thought he was only gonna have like four or five rushing points. I think if you're gonna start.
A
No, no. At the minimum. At the minimum.
B
At the minimum, Yeah. I think if you're starting Justin Fields. You've got to hope for him to score a touchdown and get 40 or 50 rushing yards on top of that, which is possible with Justin Fields. It's the passing and how much throwing he'll even do that makes me nervous about. No, I listen by comparison, I'd rather start staffing.
A
I get it. And it's, you know, we start to get past QB9, we're starting to nitpick some of these guys and see where things, you know, sort of fall by. What can hopefully go right or what could hopefully go wrong. We know it's going to go right for Jared Goff. He's playing at home. He's playing against Tampa Bay defense that's still beat up and this is the scenario where he tends to shine. We saw it in the Chicago Bears game a few weeks ago as well and at home. Now give him credit. Played well in the last two weeks on the road. I think it's going to be one of his best games of the season. Vegas thinks it's going to be a high scoring affair. I think it's going to be back and forth between him and Baker Mayfield. So both top five quarterback potential there for both these guys. But anytime you get a situation where Jared Goff's at home, you see what we all think. Top eight quarterback or more in factoring Sportsline as well. So big week coming for Jared Goff. The quarterbacks that we're sitting, we touched on this a little bit. So Dave Heath made the case why? Maybe Daniel Jones was tough to rank. You're saying to sit him out right now.
B
I agree. And it's Tuatanga Vailoa, it's Shane Daniels, it's Bo Nix. All three of these quarterbacks went up against the Chargers. All three of them failed to get to 20 fantasy points against them. The Chargers might have Khalil Mack in this game. That's somebody else who's really good at getting to the quarterback Odafe owe is someone they acquired. He's another good pass rusher. Their secondary has been playing well. It makes me nervous to count on Daniel Jones. The thing that stood out to me that what Heath said was he really needs to score three touchdowns in order to have a good game. And I don't know if we can count on Daniel Jones to do that.
A
Your set is Bo Nix. I'm surprised by this. Yeah.
C
The Giants defense has not been as bad against the pass as a lot of people expected. You look at the quarterbacks that had success against them. It was Jaden Daniels rushing for 68 yards to score 21 fantasy points in week one. Then it was Dak with CD Lamb in week two. And then last week Jalen hurts six tush pushes in a row from inside the five yard line to get him to 22 fantasy points. Everybody else below 20 fantasy points so far this season and Nix isn't any of those three guys. I just said he kind of the way he did it as a rookie, where he did finish as the top 10 fantasy quarterback, was just right on the razor's edge. And he's been worse almost across the board. He's not rushing as efficiently. His yards per pass attempt is down to 6.2 which is just flat out bad for an NFL quarterback. So I don't know that he's good enough to just be a guy you definitely want to start. And the Giants matchup hasn't been that good. This might just be a huge J.K. dobbins game.
A
I mean, look, I think a lot of people would like that. The thing that I do like about Knicks is in 10 games at home in his career, he's averaging over 26 fantasy points per game. First two quarterbacks the Giants faced, you mentioned Jayn Daniels, Dak Prescott, the other one, both of them on the road. So the three of the games that they've struggled against opposing quarterbacks from a fantasy production standpoint, forget how they got it done has been when they've been on the road. I think Knicks going back home, I think the Giants on the road feels like a little bit of a letdown spot for them after they just beat the Eagles. So I think Knicks actually plays well with Charlotte in the top 12. For me. For me, I'm going to sit Sam Darnold again. We've talked about this on show throughout the week. He has played very well. He deserves all the credit in the world. But some of his better games so far this season haven't exactly been great fantasy games. And we saw it the last two weeks he's been 24 and a half fantasy points or more against a beat up Jacksonville secondary that was, you know, mixing new cornerbacks in and against the Tampa Bay defense is when they started to fall apart. The three previous games, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Arizona, 19.8, 20.7, 18.5. He played very well in those games. Heath, you brought up something on CBS Sports hq. This feels like it's going to be a low scoring, drag it out kind of slow type of game and I just don't think Darnold has the type of Upside that we've seen the last two weeks when I liked him. I know you liked him as well. I know you still like him this week, but for me, I'm going to try and get away from Sam Darnold. So I know you like him. You also share the same sentiment.
C
Yeah, I just, I think both teams, if they had their preference, would just run the ball 40 times and pass 20 times and they may be able to do this. I'm not sure anybody gets way out in front in this game. Darnold's had a couple of decent matchups here recently. He's taken advantage of them, but there's really not a huge upside for him even when things go right.
B
One of the things that I like about Darnold is that I don't think Seattle will be able to run the ball in this game. Houston's run defense has been outstanding this year and we already know about Ken Walker and how much work he gets and Zach Charbonnet and how inefficient he's been. I think if the Seahawks are competitive in this game, it's because of Sam Darnold.
A
I do like the fact from Houston's defense standpoint you mentioned they haven't exactly played the best quarterbacks, but this is a team that's trying to claw their way back into it after a terrible start. No doubt they've spent two weeks trying to dissect the Seattle defense. So this is what they've been focused on is trying to stop Sam Darnold. And you're not sitting Jackson, Smith, Najigba, but Derek Stanley is going to make things a little bit tough on him. So if Darnold does not have that high end production from his best receiver, could be a little bit tough for him. All right, speaking of Seattle, we're going to take a break right now. We come back, Robert Turbin is going to join us. We're going to get into some running back rankings and tell you what's going on with Ken Walker and Zach Charborday. That's next year on fft.

Fantasy Football Today presented by BetMGM Make It Legendary. I'm Jamie. That's Dave. That's Heath. Joining us now is the legendary guy himself, Robert Turbin. And we're going to talk about running backs here on fantasy football today. So let's show you the rankings 1 through 12. You're not going to really see any surprises. I think on this list, maybe, you know, a Quinshawn Judkins jumps out that he's Now a top 12 running back in our consensus rankings. You see Jaquhore Crosby. Merritt will talk about him as a start for this week, but not a lot of big surprises. The one thing I think we got to keep an eye on is number seven there. I think I got the numbers right now. It's Rico Dowdle because Chuba Hubbard is trending toward playing. If he does play. Robert, I'll get to you in a second, but what do you guys think? Are we going to drop Rico Dowdle? How are we approaching the Panthers situation?
B
I think you've got to drop Rico Dowdle a little bit, but I. I think the cat's out of the bag, pun intended, because it's the Panthers. Get it. Ha ha ha. I think he's going to be the lead running back. Probably get at least 2/3 of the touches in that backfield.
C
I think the first key this week that might happen this week because we don't know exactly how healthy Chuba Hubbard is, even when he said he was going to play this week because he didn't know how much he was going to play. And so maybe 2/3 split for this week makes sense. I think when Chuba Hubbard's fully healthy, we'll probably have one of those games where they each get a series and then they each get another series and then we go from there. But low end RB2 for Dowdle if Hubbard's back.
A
Robert, when you see a running back perform the way Dowdle has and knowing that Chuba Hubbard was the starter, did the Panthers make a switch or did they just stick with the hot hand? How do you approach it?
D
I think they stick with the hot hand. At least they continue to give him more opportunities. You know, even though Hubbard's the starter, you'll see a lot of. I think you'll see a good, healthy dose of Rico Daddles still makes some sense.
A
And let's take a look at the running back rankings, 13 through 26. And we have a guy on this list now that is, you know, come out of nowhere, and that's Kamani Vidal. So, Robert, when you saw what Vidal was able to do against the Dolphins. Take into account the Miami run defense is as bad as maybe any team we've seen in the last five or 10 years. Vidal was awesome. What do we expect going into week number seven as they take on a Colts defense that's not great, but obviously better than what the Dolphins showed?
D
Well, I think anytime you're a young back and you prove that, hey, you can take a good chunk of carries and do something well with it, the team, you know, they have to give you more opportunities. And so I think we'll see somewhat of a repeat performance from Vidal. The Colts are a better defense than the Dolphins are, but those opportunities, opportunities are going to be there and I think they'll find more ways to get him to football.
C
Yeah, I think forget about the efficiency in that game because you don't get to play the Dolphins every week. But the thing that you love, we're.
A
Basically playing the Dolphins now. You know, there's no, no defense in front of us.
C
67% snap share, 21 touches in the game looked much, much better than Haskins. I think you just view him as a high end RB2 that you're expecting to get at least 18 touches every week until Omarion Hampton's back.
A
And Dave, he's a start for you. Do you look at this though, before they kick off Sunday, Are you trying to trade him at this point? Because the value may not be as high as it is and you know, you get at least a three game window, if not more because you don't know what happens.
B
I would have traded him already if I could have because we know that what he did last week was against the Miami Dolphins and, and the Dolphins are going to make every running back look great. Quinshon Judkins is going to have a monster game this week, but if I need a running back and pretty much every fantasy manager needs a running back, of course I'm going to hang on to him. We don't know when Omarion Hampton is going to be back for the Chargers. And I know there's been rumors about the Chargers looking to trade for a running back. This guy might be their answer. They might not have to make that deal.
A
All right, so we'll see what happens again. Dave's going to start Kamani by Dal. We'll talk about the starts and sits coming up in a second, you can show the next list of rankings, 25 through 36. And this is where we get into the Seahawks running back. So, Robert, you're obviously very connected to this organization. Ken Walker Zach Charbonnet were getting different reports about, you know, are they going to continue this split? Does Charbonnet maybe get more work? What's going on with Walker? Give us your $0.02 on what's going on with the Seattle backfield and maybe who we can count on moving forward knowing that it's a tough run defense that they're facing Monday night against the Texans.
D
Well, it's going to be difficult against Houston when they were both healthy early in the season. Charbonnet was getting the bulk of the opportunities and the run game was much more productive. And I think the Seahawks are going to lean that way this second half of the year.
A
Okay, so maybe you see a little bit more Charbonnet. I mean, you know, clearly everybody drafted Ken Walker to be a starter. Charbonnet's been getting the high level touches when they get inside the five, you know, touchdown opportunities. We saw the last two weeks that it's been minimal carries for Walker by comparison. And the catching, the work in the passing game has not been there. So are we ready to punt on Ken Walker at this point, Heath, or are we just going to sort of wait this out and see how it shakes out?
C
There's one thing that keeps anybody from wanting to sit Ken Walker and it's fomo because you know that he can take a carry from his own five yard line and all of a sudden he's just scored 15 fantasy points. He makes those plays not regularly enough, but I think where we've got him at 25 is the perfect place. If you don't have two actual starting running backs, you start Ken Walker. If you have to start a flex, you can start Ken Walker. But if you can get away from. I'd certainly, if I had Rico Dowdle and Kymani Vidal and Ken Walker, it's easy to sit Ken Walker.
B
If we took a time machine back to August and we said you might start Kymani Vidal over Ken Walker, you'd think that something went wrong with Ken Walker and, oh, he must be on the shelf. Why wouldn't you start Zach Charbonnet?
A
No, no, no.
B
These guys are splitting touches. It's maddening. And I'd like to think that eventually the Seahawks will figure it out and give Walker more work. He's kind of a buy low target for me in that regard.
A
All right, so we'll see if maybe look comes out with a better stat line this week. We know he's got that home run potential like you talked about, Heath, so he's probably going to need that because anytime they get close to the end zone. He's coming off the field and Charbonnet's coming on. All right, let's get to the starts and the sits. And so Robert, the guy that you're targeting for this week had a bad game last week when there were some expectations for Jecory Crosby against the Bears. Now he gets. What's the dream matchup? Maybe aside from the Dolphins taking on the Cowboys, how good can Bill be in week seven?
D
Yeah, this can be a nice bounce back game for jcm. Bill Crosby, Merritt. The Dallas Cowboys have been horrible defensively this season and you know, he hasn't been as good as I guess advertised in some ways, for lack of a better word. And so I think this is an opportunity for him this week to really have a big game.
A
Robert, when you look at his performance so far, there's been some big runs, obviously he's had some touchdown opportunities. Two weeks ago he scored twice. Not a lot of work in the passing game though. We know that's not necessarily something Jaden Daniels does with him. He did that with Austin Eckler last year a little bit. But does the lack of work in the passing game concern you at all about his high end production?
D
Not this week in particular against the Cowboys. You know, maybe long term, if we look at it from a rest of season standpoint, that's not been a part of his game. You'll see McNichols kind of come in in a lot of those third down situations now, but I think he's still developing as a runner. And so, you know, I think most of his production is going to come from the backfield on the ground.
A
Another guy that's going to get a lot of production on the ground, Heath, is Jordan Mason. And you know, we sort of been talking about a lot of these backup running backs. He's kind of the first guy, you know, that got an opportunity to take advantage of an injury and run with it. First game was great. You know, what he did against the Bengals, what we saw against the Browns, excuse me, was probably a little bit of surprise because he found the end zone. So coming off a bye, what do you think about him taking on an Eagles defense that, you know, Jalen Carter in, Jalen Carter out, you know, it's been a little bit different to sort of judge this defense that he's facing.
C
Well, the one thing that's been pretty consistent is every week but one, they give up at least 15 fantasy points to a running back. The Chiefs are the only team that has not had a running back score 15 fantasy points against the Eagles. Now some backs have done it with passing work and he's probably not going to do that, but I just am not sure that it's a great run defense right now. It has not prevented running backs from scoring and I think this is going to be a close game where Minnesota can commit to the run. If JJ McCarthy starts, we may even see more Jordan Mason carries because they don't want him to throw too much. I like him as a mid RB2 better in half PPR than he is in full PPR.
A
I'll tell you what, three catches each of the last two weeks. That's impressive for a guy that we didn't expect to be involved in the passing game. Now we do have one more game until Aaron Jones is eligible to return. So there might be a sell high window here for Jordan Mason, but clearly ride the hot hand at least for this week as he takes on the Eagles. So Dave, anything else you want to add about Kamani Vidal? I know he's a starter for you.
B
Well I just look at the Colts matchup and Robert said it this is a much better matchup than what Vidal went up against last week. That's easy to say, but I don't really believe that the Colts run defense is going to shut down Kamani Vidal. As silly as that sounds, I don't think it's going to happen. And if Quentin Johnson plays, that pushes the safeties back means fewer eight in the box situations and Vidal can catch the ball out of the backfield too.
A
Should be fun to see how he does. I'm looking forward to tonight's game with Jaylen Warren. He's the start of the week for week number seven. Eight running backs so far this season. 14.5 PPR points or more against Cincinnati. Number one in most fantasy points allowed to the position. Jalen Warren gets his first rushing touchdown in tonight's game. He's already caught a pass and found the end zone. That was in week one, but he has not scored since then. We know what happened in week four. It was the Kenneth Gainwell show by in week five last week. Not the best performance for him against the Browns, but I think he has a huge game against the other Ohio team in this matchup tonight.
B
I don't know. He had good efficiency in that game. Almost five yards of carry.
A
He played well. Just not good fantasy production.
B
No, that's true.
A
Speaking of bad fantasy production, let's go to the sits now and Robert, I want to just get your take in general on the Patriots backfield, you got Ramondre Stevenson as a sit. What are they waiting for? When are we going to see Trevion Henderson?
D
I think they're waiting to trust him more. I get. I really don't know. I would play him personally, Jamie. I think that he's ready. There might be other pieces. You know, we look at it. Obviously we look at things from a fantasy standpoint, but there might be other holistic things just as a running back that Trey Hendrickson is just not ready to. To. To do yet in terms of third down pass protection and those types of things, you just never know. But I think that if they give him more opportunities, it'll allow him to speed up his development, and I think he could eventually take over that backfield as long as they're willing to let him grow and get better in that role. But Ramon Dre Stevenson, you know, to me is.
A
Is.
D
That's regressing in a lot of ways, and he's a sit for me this week.
A
Yeah, it makes some sense. I mean, the matchup actually is not bad. And I do like the fact that Mike Vrabel said they want to commit more to their running game, but maybe, just maybe, that would be Henderson more so than Stevenson. It's a great call.
B
He looked much better last week. And the way you run against Tennessee is to attack the edges. And you can't do that with Ramandre Stevenson. You can do that with Treveon Henderson. Good by low window. That's still open for the rookie.
A
Yep. And like you said, this might be the last opportunity to get him, if in fact they commit to him. So, Dave, again, Ken Walker is a guy that you're trying to get away from. This week is 25 too high in our rankings based on what Robert just said?
B
The problem is that I don't know if I can find even three more running backs that I would rank ahead of Kenneth Walker in the rankings. But the matchup is tough. Houston's run defense allowing just 3.3 yards per carry in its past three games. Three explosive runs allowed all season long by Houston, and Walker's touches have dwindled from 16 in weeks one through four to 11 in his past two games. And don't even ask about touches near the goal line because that's. That's just going to depress all of us, and we don't need that. Try and sit Kenneth Walker if you can.
A
Heath, you're trying to sit Chase Brown as well. It's been a frustrating season. Did you see any signs of hope last week with Joe Flacco starting though, that maybe things can start to improve. I mean, again, I'm with you. I think everybody is trying to get away from if you can, but anything that for the future that might help.
C
Chase Brown, if you wanted to be positive, you would say the rushing efficiency was better. He averaged 4.7 yards per carry. He also had nine rush attempts and he played 55% of the snaps. And when Chase Brown broke out last year and became what, this great sleeper pick, it wasn't really because he did so many great things. It was because they played him 80% of the snaps every single game. He's played 55% of the snaps three of the last four games. Samaj P. Ryan's playing almost as much as Chase Brown. And when you look at chase Brown averaging 2.7 yards per carry, it's not even as if we can say, why don't they stop playing Samaj P. Ryan so much? P. Ryan's been better.
A
Yeah, it's just been frustrating. So maybe again you see something with Joe Flacco, full week of practice. You know, last week he was brought in middle of the week and the offense maybe looks a little bit better, but bad offensive line, bad offense in general. Tough matchup. Yes. Sit Chase Brown. Robert. I'm going to have Tony Pollard as a sit, but I want to get your take on just the backfield split with a new coach coming in. So they fire Callahan and now they promote Mike McCoy. You had Tajai Spears play more snaps than Tony Pollard last week. It's easy to sit Pollard in this matchup against the Patriots. They're really good against three run. But do you see maybe an opportunity for Taije Spears to get more work? Just taking a bigger view of it, looking at how Pollard has really struggled to produce when given all this opportunity. And now Spears two game removed from that ankle injury, should be back to full strength.
D
Yeah, Spears is younger. You get a new coach coming in, they want to see what they have in terms of their young guys. The season is somewhat of a lost season for the Tennessee Titans. So now it's all about evaluating who can you build your future with. If I'm going to be the guy taking over moving forward and so you gotta approach it like that. And I think Spears is gonna continue to get more opportunities, which is not a good thing because I have Tony Pollard. I'm very slim. I'm very slim at running back right now, so I need him to at least get in the end zone or something. This week.
C
This is one of two games like this week for me, including tonight. I would start both Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell over Chase Brown. I would start both Ramond Dre and Trevion over Tony Pollard.
A
Listen, it could work out. We'll see if the tough to trust the Patriots backfield but I see where you're going with it. But yeah, tough to trust the Titans backfield at this point. Just looking at what is happening but you never know. You always get that new coach bump and maybe the coaching change helps the Titans. They have a lot of, I think remorse, maybe getting rid of Mike Vrabel. So we'll see if there's a little revenge game on both sides for the coach and the team that let him go. All right, Robert, we'll let you go now. We appreciate your time here as always on fantasy football today. We're going to take a break right now. When we come back and look at the wide receiver rankings. Tell you to start, start who to sit and who's healthy. That's next on fft.

Welcome back to Fantasy Football today presented by BetMGM. Make it legendary. I'm Jamie. That's Dave, that's Heath. We're looking at the wide receiver rankings for week number seven. Couple of injury updates. You can show the rankings one through 12 as we go through some of these injuries, but we're getting reports that no Terry McLaurin and no Debo Samuel are practiced for the Commanders on Wednesday. Emeka Buka not expected to play for the Bucs, but Mike Evans returned to practice on Tuesday. Excuse me. On Thursday. Mike Evans returned to practice on Wednesday in a limited Mike Evans returned to practice on Thursday in a limited capacity. I got it right. I don't know what day it is yet, but Mike Evans returned to practice on Thursday in a limited capacity. No practice for Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel on Thursday. So as these updates come in, we'll continue to keep you up to date, but as you see, we're getting some optimistic reports on CD Lamb, for example. So Dave, when you look at Lamb and what George Pickens has done, are you just going to Start them both. Or do you have a maybe take a cautious approach with CD Lamb and still go all in on George Pickens? Or is it all on CD Lamb and maybe a little bit cautious on.
B
I'm starting them both. What's the total on that game, Heath?
C
54 and a half.
B
Yeah, that seems low given just how these offenses and how one of these defenses has operated this year. Absolutely expecting big numbers right off the bat for seating Lamb in his return. And there's too much upside to sit George Pickens. I wouldn't get cute with him.
A
We'll see how it goes throughout the next several weeks, but obviously for this week, you want to have both those guys in your line. Let's take a look at the rankings 13 through 24, and we'll start to talk about some of the players that are difficult for us to rank. So, Dave, one of those guys for you is at 24, and that's Teteroa McMillan. I'm very nervous just with the matchup against Sauce Gardner. What about you?
B
I hate the matchup against Sauce Gardner and I also hate the potential of the Panthers running their way to another victory. But I love of the targets that I've seen Teddaroa McMillan get five of his first six games, he's had at least eight targets in each. And the one game he didn't have eight targets, it was last week. He caught two touchdowns. But that was in a much better matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. I've got a little bit of FOMO with the rookie. I don't want to miss out on that if he happens to have one of those games that combines both of those things, lots of targets and a touchdown. Are the odds of that happening low? Because Sauce Gardner's there? Sort of. And that's why I think you've got to view him as no more than a number two fantasy receiver and more of a low end number two fantasy receiver at that. And it's got to be in full and half point PPR, non PPR, a lot easier to get away from Ted.
A
McMillan, he's a sit for me. As you see, I have him at 30. I do think the concern is that the guys that have done well against Sauce Gardner or the jets in general, they score touchdowns. George Pickens scored a touchdown. Mike Evans scored a touchdown. Courtland Sutton is a great example of what could happen when you don't score against this team. He was terrible against Sauce Gardner and the jets last week. So I think McMillan, this could be the worst game that we see from him. Last week I thought he would score his first touchdown. He did. Got two of them again. Is he going to score? We have five games of that where him not finding the end zone and maybe Jalen Coker comes back and that could be another guy that Bryce Young leans on. So I would try to get away from McMillan, but I understand the hesitation to do that because he is.
B
Who are some receivers, if you don't mind me asking?
A
Well, I'll tell you, the guy that's tough for me to rank is Kendrick Bourne. Because we get George Kittle coming back. We're waiting to find out about Ricky Piersall. We don't know about Juwan Jennings. I think any of the receivers come back. It makes it tough on Bourne and it's a really good Falcon secondary. You talked about this earlier in the week that we just maybe have looked at this and said, okay, they're not that great team. Struggle against them. They now have enough out there that we see that this is a pretty good team. And AJ Terrell, if there is no Ricky Piersol or Joann Jennings, well, this is where he's going to go. And so that can make things even tougher on Kendrick Bourne. But he's been so good, especially with Mac Jones starting. Will Brock Purdy continue to do that? I think you just got to look at him as number three receiver. But I do think that there's more upside based on the volume for the 49ers, for Chandra Bourne, for me, at least comparatively to Teteroa McMillan, he's the toughest guy for you to rank is Matthew Golden. We saw last week coming off a bye. We like this for rookies come off a bye play well. Well, his best game to date in terms of fantasy production. How's he going to do in this? What should be a good matchup against Cardinals.
C
That's the thing is I think the rookie breakout is coming very soon. It's like, is it this week? Is it next week? Played 68% of the snapshot last week. He has double digits in full PPR in three straight games and he's still looking for his first touchdown. This would be a pretty good opportunity to get it. I love the way they're giving him, as Adam Major likes to say, both deep balls and layups because we've always got a couple run plays each week, a couple short area targets, and then we're going to throw the ball deep to him as well. I think he has the upside to be a top 24 guy this week. It's hard to get him ranked quite that high.
A
Do you fear and this kind of ties in you like Jordan Love this week, too? The Cardinals may not have Marvin Harris, another guy that's injured. The running game right now is suspect. Clearly with Bam Knight and Michael Carter, like they may not score against the.
C
Packers, that's a little bit of a fear. We did see Kyler Murray limited back at practice, so he might be there. Sometimes the Cardinals act like they don't have Marvin Harrison anyway. They go quarters without throwing the ball to him, so I think that is a little bit of a concern. But most teams when they've played this Arizona defense have ended up throwing considerably more than they run.
A
All right, so we'll see if that happens for Jordan Love and obviously for Matthew Golden. Just real quick, name Dobbs Golden. Who are you starting?
C
I'm Golden.
A
Golden over Dobbs. Okay. For me I'd be Dobbs, but I get it. Dave, for you, you're starting. I'm sorry, we'll go to the starts now. So you're starting Jordan Addison, which I'm interested in that one because number two receivers haven't exactly done well against this Eagles defense.
B
I think that this is the Minnesota Vikings and they've got two number one wide receivers. And there's no comparing Addison to Jefferson. But I love what we've gotten from Addison in two games. First game, eight targets. Second game, he didn't even play in the first quarter, had six targets and he's given at least 10 non PPR fantasy points in each game. And I've got some questions about the Philadelphia secondary, including Quinion Mitchell. If he plays, is he at 100% who's going to play opposite him? Is Quinon Mitchell going to be on Jefferson or is he going to be on Addison? And I know that Carson wentz not at 100% himself. I'm expecting him to start as of now. I would make a change on this if it's JJ McCarthy, but the offensive line for the Minnesota Vikings is getting healthy. They're going to have a lot of starters back for this game. It encourages me that both wide receivers, Jefferson and Addison, can be good this week.
A
All right, hopefully you're right because the only good number two wide receiver against this team has been Devonta Adams. And you know, whether you want to say Devonte Adams, still the same guy, but he's the only good number two guy. Number one guys have killed this team. Number two guys, though, have kind of struggled. Heath, for you, it's Chris Olave this week and he's just been kind of quietly very good.
C
Quietly very good. And this might be a chance for him to be loudly very good. He's averaging over 10 targets per game. The Chicago Bears are giving up more than two fantasy points per target to opposing wide receivers. This is an absolute smash spot. He's a top 12 wide receiver for me this week.
A
Yeah, you love him. I think it's a good opportunity as well, especially 21 targets in his last two games. So this is the guy Spencer Rattler definitely leaning on as we go throughout the course of the season for the Saints. For me, I'm going to start Jameson Williams. We know he's been tough to trust. He's been a disappointment based on what the expectations are. But home game against the Tampa Bay defense that has been just bleeding fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. I think there's a huge opportunity for this Lions offense to go off because they are back in their building. I think Jameson Williams is a top 24 wide receiver for this week. The sit wide receivers. We kind of touched on a couple of these guys already throughout the course of the show, but Heath Jacoby Myers, I know you like Trey Tucker and Michael Mayer a little bit. This is the guy though. You want to sit.
C
I don't know if this is injury related or if this is trade discussion related or what, but he has just not been the same guy this year and I stubbornly ranked him as a top 20 wide receiver for about four weeks too long. I'm done doing that. I guess. I'm still the high guy.
B
I can't rank him well enough.
C
I do think there's going to be some opportunities in this game for the Raiders to throw the ball, but Trey Tucker's emerged, Michael Mayer's there. They'll dump the ball off the genti a little bit.
B
I'm out on my we're not even sure if he's going to play and there's going to be one week where he's showcased where they try and get him the ball a lot to show him off to other teams around the league. Maybe we've seen that before with players right before they're traded. They get a big opportunity or they sit them and then they trade them and maybe this is the week that happens. Bottom line is that I'm not ready to trust Jacoby Myers after what we've seen.
C
How's he not already on the Steelers.
B
The Patriots, the Giants, maybe Patriots is where I think he'd go.
A
Yeah, go back there. Go be with Josh McDaniels who at least they had a good relationship unlike McDaniels and Devontae Adams. All right, so Dave, you have Keenan Allen to sit. We're waiting to find out. Quinton Johnson and his update. Is this sort of dependent one on the other or are you just sitting Keenan Allen regardless?
B
I think I'm going to sit Keenan Allen regardless, but I'd be more encouraged to use him as a flex if Quentin Johnson doesn't play. But if Quentin Johnson's there, I'm out. On Keenan Allen, I love the target volume, but he's gone from 9.3 targets, 10.2 yards per catch and one touchdown per game in Weeks 1 through 3 to 7.7 targets per game, 8.7 yards per catch and zero touchdowns and only two end zone targets in his last three games. That includes Week 6 against Miami. Without Quentin Johnson there, huge opportunity for him. I bought into him. I was left with single digit fantasy points.
C
The only thing I'll say is if you're getting almost an end zone target per game and you haven't scored a touchdown in the last three weeks, I think that's just unlucky. I think there's. If he keeps getting the volume Keenan Allen's getting, he's going to produce more fantasy points.
A
7 targets per game in every week so far this season. So at least they're continuing to go to him. I do think it changes a little bit if Johnston plays, but this is a great matchup. I mean, Colts are fourth in terms of most fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers. I don't, I like Vidal, but I don't think he's going to do what he did last week. So if the run game struggles a little bit, then we're throwing a little bit more for Justin Herbert. Then I think Kenan Allen's got an opportunity, which is why I like him as a number two wide receiver. I start him over Teddy Roman Millen. He's a sit for me. We talked about that already. Just concerned about the matchup with Sauce Gardner. All right, we take a break when we come back and get into the tight ends that you need to start. Maybe some of the ones you want to sit. We'll talk about the tight end rankings next year on fft.

Good luck. Welcome back to Fantasy Football today presented by BetMGM. Make it legendary and this could be a legendary week for tight ends. Let's show you the list of rankings 1 through 12 as we get you the starts and some of the guys that we're a little bit concerned about once we get to the next list. But start with Trey McBride, Jake Ferguson. These guys are playing well. We got George Kittle back. So Dave, is this going to be typical George Kittle, like must start, no questions asked or we have a little bit concern, maybe snap count, maybe some of the quarterback concerns with Brock Purdy coming in? Not 100%. Mac Jones talk me through George Kittle.
B
If George Kittle is healthy and active, I'm starting him and I'm especially starting him if Brock Purdy is his quarterback. We've seen that connection between Purdy and Kittle now for several years. It is glorious. And we know about the rest of the receivers for San Francisco. One of them is banged up. The other one was great with Mac Jones. I think George Kittle just goes right back into fantasy lineups as long as he's active.
A
The thing that I love is the volume has been at a level that we have not seen for San Francisco. You talk about this a lot and so this could be the thing we've been waiting for for George Kittle. Just a lot of opportunities, a lot of volume. So it could be fun. The guy that I'm concerned about for this week is Kyle Pitts. I'll just start with him here because he's on this list at number 12. I thought last week, okay, no Darnell Mooney. This is what Kyle Pitts has been great at. The two games that Mooney did not play prior to that, he was awesome. Well, he was not awesome because it was the Drake London and Bijan Robinson show. Now we have a situation with Kyle Pitts against a 49ers defense that for the most part has been good against tight ends. However, they do not have Fred Warner anymore so this defense is not looking the same. So I think you look at Kyle Pitts as a starter, but more of a low end starter, get the targets back in his favor. We're looking at the list now 13 through 25, 13 through 24. I get that right. Heathen. We have Michael Mayer on this list who great last week with the first game where he played without Brock Bowers. What do we think about the second game?
C
I love the player. I love the fact that he had a 30% target share last week. I said earlier today I do think the Raiders are going to throw a lot. That should be great for him. The only reason he's difficult for me to rank is because the Chiefs have been so good against tight ends. But what I went and looked at is they really haven't played any good tight ends until they played Sam Laporta last week and he scored 16 fantasy points. So I'm ranking Mayer as a starter but he is one of those guys that's been a lot of trouble for me this week.
B
And about that touchdown that Laporta made too. It was a one handed grab there. If there's no Jacoby Myers, I'm a big fan of Michael Mayer this week.
A
The one thing just to keep in mind with, with the Chiefs and with Mayer I think is I forgot what I was going to say about this. In regards to their fifth against tight ends and they don't want Geno Smith to throw and like you said 30% target share. Will he get those opportunities that he needs? And to your point, if Michael, if Jacoby Myers is there then we'll see how things go there for him. Let's look at the starts and the sits for this week. So Heath, you're starting Harold Fannin. I mean just great opportunity.
C
Yeah, we don't think David Njoku is going to play. Harold Fannin's been good in three of his six games with David Njoku and now you're facing the Dolphins who give up elite tight end production almost every single week. Easy start for Harold Vannon.
A
Zach Ertz is somebody you like Dave.
B
I figure he's a safe bet for at least six targets. It should be a high scoring game against the Cowboys. Cowboys defense can't stop anybody. We got a taste of Ertz coming back last week and getting some good numbers. I think he does it again this.
A
Week against Dallas and we'll see about the receivers because Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel not practicing on Thursday so could be an opportunity for him to continue. He had three games slump prior to last week so hopefully continues to play well. The guy that you're concerned about ranking, the guy that I have as a start is Mason Taylor. So have a Mason Taylor conversation for a second here. So what's your concern about ranking him this week?
B
The concern about ranking him is is he going to get the targets? Because last week he did not get the targets. He had what, one target, maybe two targets, one catch, two yards. It was an absolute nightmare. And I know there's no Garrett Wilson and there might not be any Josh Reynolds in this game either, but the Panthers are going to know that Carolina has been terrible against tight ends. The matchup is great. I am hoping that that translates into something that the jets will do and that the jets will actually let Justin Fields throw 20, 25 times and that a good amount of those targets goes to Mason Taylor. I would count on that in ppr. I wouldn't be so excited to count on it in non PPR because he hasn't had a ton of explosive plays so far.
C
Looks easy to ring. Just put him at 12.
A
We did 12. I don't know what Sportsline does not like about Mason Taylor, but might be his quarterback.
B
Might be what happened last.
A
Like his quarterback though, he's six for them. That's the crazy part. Like again, maybe they have.
B
It's got to be the rushing then.
A
Well, they may have numbers for. They still project injured guys throughout the week until they're officially ruled out. So they may have numbers for Garrett Wilson. I just think Mason Taylor's in a great spot. To me, I said this earlier this week, it's the Will Smith meme where he's, you know, looking around, where's everybody else, like he's going to get every opportunity that he should be able to have some success. I do think this is the week he scores his first touchdown. So I would still start him in non PPR leagues. Let's look at the tight ends to sit. So Dave, you're sitting Travis Kelce. Is that a matchup thing or is that a guy coming back that may impact a target?
B
It's not just any guy. It's Rasheed Rice and we saw last year when Rasheed Rice was on the field with Travis Kelce. Kelce had a 16.2% target per out run rate. He had two red zone targets. This was in three games and change. No end zone targets, obviously no touchdowns and only two explosive plays. I am nervous to go to Travis Kelce with Rasheed Rice back. It sounds like Rasheed Rice is going to have a lot of work in his first game too.
C
I'm nervous about Darren Waller. He's outside of my top 12 so I would set him four touchdowns in three games facing the Browns, they have an implied total of 17 points. There's some minor weather concerns now. We'll watch those. But the Browns have given up four touchdowns to tight ends this year, which seems like a lot. All of them backup tight ends. All of them that your normal person could not name, just random people.
B
So it's a Julian, all of this.
C
It's a. All the starting tight ends against the Browns have been held to single digits in terms of fantasy points. I think this is a disastrous day for the Dolphins offense and I don't want to start Darren Muller.
A
I'm a little concerned about Hunter Henry. We've seen his numbers now the last couple of weeks go in the wrong direction and it kind of ties into, I think, what could be a scenario that we have to keep an eye on both games on the road. He's had three good games so far this season. All three have been at home. His down games so far this season have been on the road. And this is a Titans team that did struggle against Michael Mayer last week while they held both Tyler Warren and Trey McBride to under 10 PPR points. So they've done a good job against defending tight ends. So I think based on what Hunter Henry has seen, Heath, you talked about this on our Fantasy Football Today podcast with Drake May and this passing offense. Every week is a different guy. And I think that's the fun thing that we're seeing is, well, Hunter Henry's time right now is not just to be the focal point and maybe that comes back to, you know, something that we look at. But for this week with all the streaming tight ends, I think Hunter Henry an easy guy to get away from. All right, we're going to take a break right now. We come back and get into your question. B
McCaffrey. Thank you. You made a face.
C
I kind of want the Gibbs side.
A
You're getting a throw in with a.
C
You're getting a throw in. Especially if it's a deeper league. But mostly they can't run the bowl and he might not get a 30% target share and everybody's back.
A
I get it. I probably still want McCaffrey, but I understand where you're going from. Who would you mention in ppr? AJ Brown, Xavier Worthy, Travis Etienne, Enrico Dowdle. Assuming that Chuba Hubbard is playing Dowdle.
B
I think in a PPR league I would lean toward benching A.J. brown.
A
I'm going to sit Travis Etienne. Just a really tough run defense against the Rams and they do not give up touchdowns. Next question I need ask FFT late night trade help. So 12 team PPR give CeeDee Lamb and David Montgomery get a Monroe St. Brown and Breece Hall. What would you rather have?
B
This is a close call.
C
I'll take a bun. Ron Breece.
B
I think I would too.
A
I would as well. And let's see. Breece hall maybe get traded. That could help his fantasy value even more. Should I trade quinshawn Judkins and J.K. dobbins for CeeDee Lamb in a PPR league? Other running backs are Jacobs, Walker, Deandre Swift and Travis Etienne. Wide receivers Nico Collins, Garrett Wilson, Keenan Allen and Chris Olave. So would you trade quitshon Dutkins and J.K. dobbins for lamb?
B
Can you wait till next week to do it?
C
Deal.
B
I really want Judkins against Miami this week.
A
So you say do it. You say wait.
B
I would wait a week if you can. And if you can't, then make the deal.
A
Yeah, I'd make the deal, too. Bye week. Running back hell. Next week. With Ken Walker, Genti and Benson out, Ramondre is on waivers. What should I bid? $66 remaining on Fab for Ramondre Stevenson?
B
I wouldn't bid that much. Even though you might need him. I'd say in the neighborhood of like 8 bucks.
C
I thought I was thinking 11.
